The 29-year-old recently suffered a left wrist sprain during a workout, but is expected to return to game action within a couple days. Hernandez hit .296/.346/.524 with 32 home runs, 29 doubles, 92 runs, 116 RBI and 12 stolen bases last season.

Hernandez should remain a regular fixture in the lineup even when George Springer (quadriceps) returns from the injured list if he continues to swing the bat the way he has lately.
