Today’s Free NBA Player Props

Every day during the season, our NBA betting experts will identify some of the best player prop bets available.

There are 10 NBA games on Friday’s schedule, including Raptors @ Celtics and Knicks @ Suns. Let’s dive into the top player props for today.

Jalen Johnson: Over 19.5 Rebounds + Assists (-105) @ Nuggets

This is a terrific spot to back one of the NBA’s premier rising stars. The Hawks now unquestionably belong to Jalen Johnson, who’s averaging 23.5 points, 10.3 rebounds, and 8.3 assists per game – all of which are career-high marks.

When he last took on the Nuggets on Dec. 5, he notched 21 points, 18 rebounds, and 16 assists, the latter of which were also career-highs. I wouldn’t go as far as to predict that he’ll match those totals, but he should certainly be in for another strong outing. The over is the way to go at 19.5 rebounds and assists.

Derik Queen: Over 8.5 Rebounds (-125) @ Wizards

More than anything, Queen has been a real force on the glass lately. He’s averaging 8.9 rebounds per game over his last 15, and he’s logged double-digit boards in seven of those.

Queen should be in line to rack up another high total this evening against the Wizards. Washington ranks last league-wide in rebounds allowed per game, and there will be more opportunities available with Saddiq Bey, Trey Murphy III, and Herb Jones all potentially sidelined for New Orleans.

Using the NBA Player Props Grid

From left to right, you’ll find sections for the prop, expected value, cover probability, bet rating, and the best line available. Let’s quickly break down what these mean.

  • Prop: This is the suggested bet. It lists the player name, the prop, and the matchup, complete with date, time, and venue.
  • Expected Value: This is what the grid is sorted by. This number is the difference between the true probability of the event happening and the sportsbook’s odds.
  • Cover Probability: The likelihood of the player prop resulting in a win.
  • Bet Rating: Our ranking of the value of the player prop. Five-star picks are the best and most valuable picks.
  • Best Line: The best odds currently available for the player prop. Our odds grid constantly updates to find the best NBA player prop betting lines.

You’ll also find three dropdown menus above the grid. These allow you to sort by matchup, prop type, and bet rating, respectively. Use these to narrow down your search and find the best player prop available for your specified terms.

The vast majority of our NBA player prop predictions are completely free. Our computer model has done the research and identified discrepancies between posted odds and the actual probability of each event. OddsTrader doesn’t limit the types of player props you can bet on, either. Our expert picks and predictions are available for over 50 different markets, ranging from simple points props to first-quarter assists. If it’s offered by a sportsbook, there’s a good chance we have a free pick available for it.

Frequently Asked Questions

There are lots of small details that go into NBA player prop betting. If you still have some questions, read our answers to some common FAQs below.

What are PRA prop bets?

You might see a player prop abbreviated as PRA. This stands for points, rebounds, and assists and is a combination of the three. To determine whether or not you win this type of bet, you’ll need to add up the player’s points, rebounds, and assists and see if they went over or under the projected total.

What happens if a player gets injured or can’t finish a game?

If a player is forced to exit a game early, sportsbooks will often void the pick, meaning it doesn’t count as a win or loss. Instead, you’ll simply get your wager returned to you. If the player hits the over on their prop before exiting the game, it will still be graded as a win.

Do NBA player props count overtime?

Unless otherwise noted, NBA player props do include overtime. This can be good or bad depending on whether you bet the over or under on a player prop.

If you bet the over and a player doesn’t hit the mark until overtime, it’ll still count as a win for you. However, if you bet the under and a player goes over that mark in overtime, it’ll still count as a loss even though they finished regulation with the under.
