Gordon had a tough time defending Zion Williamson, but he had his own share of offensive success with 15 points to go alongside 12 rebounds and six assists. Gordon is a reliable anchor at the baseline and delivers decent stat lines despite Nikola Jokic's interior dominance.

The veteran forward set new highs on the young season in boards and assists in a strong all-around performance. Gordon's been especially active on the defensive end through six games, averaging 1.3 steals and 1.2 blocks a night, and both marks would be career highs if he can keep them up. On the downside, his 12.8 points a night would be his lowest since 2016-17, largely because he hasn't been drawing contact -- after averaging a career-high 4.6 free-throw attempts a game last season, Gordon's managed only 1.3 a game so far in 2023-24 and has failed to get to the line at all in three of six contests.

With that said, Gordon, who's often overlooked while playing next to one of the best duos in the NBA, has been a quality source of efficient points and rebounds since joining Denver.

Given the current success the team is enjoying, there is no reason to think his role will change moving forward.

Gordon had sat out two of the Nuggets' previous three games with an ankle issue, but his absence for Sunday's loss to Minnesota was likely more a byproduct of Denver playing the second game of a back-to-back set. The 27-year-old forward was back in action for Tuesday's rematch with the Timberwolves and looked plenty healthy, despite playing fewer minutes than usual while Denver took a 35-point lead into the final quarter. The four steals and eight assists both matched season highs for Gordon.

That's still an upgrade compared to his post-trade figures from last season (10.2 points per game across 25 regular-season contests), but they still represent a downgrade compared to what he was doing as a member of the Magic in recent years before getting traded to Denver.

Gordon hadn't scored more than 12 points in any game this season, but he posted his best scoring output of the campaign in this loss. Gordon might see an expanded role on offense if Nikola Jokic (knee) is forced to miss time after leaving Tuesday's game following a collision with Rudy Gobert, but if not, he's likely to be the team's third-best scoring threat behind Jokic and Will Barton.

Gordon posted 12 points (5-14 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds and one assist over 28 minutes in Monday's loss to the Cavaliers.

It was hardly a dominant performance by the veteran power forward, but Gordon did tie for second on the team in scoring while falling one board shy of his first double-double of the campaign. It has been a quiet start to the season for the 26-year-old, who is averaging just 10.7 points and 7.3 boards through three games.

Gordon will sit out Thursday's preseason finale against the Thunder, Katy Winge of Altitude Sports reports.

Gordon wraps up the preseason averaging 9.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 23.8 minutes. He's fully expected to be available for Wednesday's opener against the Suns.

Gordon agreed to a four-year, $92 million contract extension with the Nuggets on Tuesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

The Nuggets traded Gary Harris, R.J. Hampton and a 2025 first-round pick for Gordon in March of 2020. The 6-foot-8 forward went on to average 10.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists across 27.1 minutes in 35 games for Denver. He struggled mightily in the playoff series against the Suns, posting single-digit outings in the final three games of the season. The Nuggets will need another playmaker opposite of Nikola Jokic to start the 2021-22 campaign as Jamal Murray is expected to miss at least a few months to start the season. The extension also has a player option that could keep Gordon tied to the Nuggets through the 2025-26 season. While the 2016 No. 7 overall pick is certainly worth the contract, it certainly raises questions about whether or not the Nuggets will be able to afford an extension of that size -- or bigger -- for Michael Porter Jr. next offseason.

Gordon finished Friday's Game 3 loss to Phoenix with just four points (2-10 FG, 0-3 3Pt) and four rebounds in 36 minutes.

To be fair to Gordon, a lot of his defensive contributions don't show up in the box score, but the forward has been a disappointment on the offensive end since coming over from Orlando. In the postseason (10 games), Gordon is averaging just 10.5 points on 43.2 percent shooting while struggling to find his role in the Nikola Jokic-led offense. In Games 2 and 3 against Phoenix, Gordon has totaled only 10 points and five rebounds to go with five turnovers in 56 minutes.

Gordon finished with 18 points (8-14 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, three steals and two assists in 29 minutes during Tuesday's 122-105 loss to Phoenix.

Gordon stepped up for the Nuggets on both ends of the floor but unfortunately saw his efforts go to waste in what was a game they certainly could have won. Since arriving in Denver, Gordon has struggled to have a consistent impact, highlighted by his declining fantasy numbers. That said, he can be an influential player thanks to his athleticism and speed, something the Nuggets are going to need more of if they are to topple the surging Suns.

Gordon provided 13 points (4-9 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 3-6 FT), six rebounds and two assists across 28 minutes in Monday's 128-109 win over the Trail Blazers.

Damian Lillard started off Game 2 where he left off and scored 32 of his 42 points in the first half. Coach Michael Malone then made the shrewd move of assigning the 6-foot-8 Gordon to defend him. Gordon was in Lillard's face the rest of the evening and slashed his production in the second half. Although it's impossible to shut down a player like Lillard consistently, we will probably see Gordon defending Lillard moving forward.

Gordon amassed 16 points (7-16 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 0-2 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and one block in 28 minutes during Saturday's 123-109 loss to the Trail Blazers.

Gordon, playing in his first playoff game for the Nuggets, came away with a serviceable, yet unspectacular line. The flaws in his overall game were once again on show as he failed to make either of his free throws while adding very little in terms of peripheral production. If the Nuggets are to turn things around against an experienced Trail Blazers outfit, they are going to need Gordon to step things up on both ends of the floor.

Gordon managed two points (1-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt) and two rebounds in 12 minutes during Sunday's 132-116 loss to the Blazers.

The 25-year-old returned to the court Sunday after missing Friday's game due to rest purposes to score just two points on four attempts. None of the Nuggets' starters played above 20 minutes, so the low-production game from Gordon isn't a surprise. Before Sunday's game, he was averaging 14.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.3 steals while shooting 57.6 percent from the field over his last three games. The seven-year forward has been decent since being traded to Denver back on March 25, averaging 10.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 0.7 steals over his last 25 games. The Nuggets will need his versatility heading into their playoff series matchup against the Blazers.

Gordon (rest) is unavailable Friday at Detroit, Mike Singer of The Denver Post reports.

The 25-year-old played 29 and 30 minutes in the past two games and will take a seat Friday to manage calf injury. JaMychal Green and Shaquille Harrison should see increased run with Gordon and Paul Millsap (rest) sidelined.

Gordon's efficient, well-rounded game was just what the Nuggets needed Thursday. Without Michael Porter (rest) and Jamal Murray (knee), the Nuggets relied on a heavy dose of efficient scoring from their big lineup of Gordon, Nikola Jokic and JaVale McGee. With Thursday's outing, Gordon has now scored in the double digits over his last three games and is shooting 57.6 percent from the field during that stretch.

Gordon accumulated 17 points (8-14 FG, 1-2 3Pt), six rebounds, three assists and two steals in 28 minutes during Tuesday's 117-112 win over the Hornets.

The 25-year-old returned to action after missing Saturday's game due to a bruised calf to post his 11th double-digit scoring output since joining the Nuggets back on March 28. Before Tuesday's game, Gordon was averaging just 6.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists with little else in 26.3 minutes over his last six games. The seventh-year forward will look to build on Tuesday's impressive performance Thursday on the road against the Timberwolves.

Gordon (calf) has been cleared to play Tuesday against the Hornets.

Gordon was held out of Saturday's loss to Brooklyn with a bruised calf, but he was never expected to miss more than a game or two. After entering Tuesday with a "probable" tag, the wing will be back in the lineup as Denver looks to snap a two-game skid.

The 25-year-old was a late scratch for Saturday's contest versus Brooklyn with tightness in his right calf, but his absence is expected to be limited to the one game. Even in the absence of Will Barton (hamstring) and Monte Morris (hamstring), Gordon received only 22 minutes. However, he was aggressive with his shot while on the floor and scored efficiently to post double-digit points for only the fifth time in his last 12 games. The rest of his box score has also been unremarkable in that span, as he's averaging 4.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 0.7 steals.

Gordon had 16 points (7-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds and three assists across 27 minutes in Wednesday's win over Miami.

Gordon ended just one rebound shy of putting up his first double-double since joining the Nuggets, but he still found a way to contribute on both ends of the court. Gordon's numbers have not been great over the last few games, however, with four single-digit scoring performances over his last six contests. He is averaging 10.2 points despite shooting 52.3 percent from the field in that span.

Gordon ended with 11 points (5-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt), two assists, one rebound and one block in 31 minutes during Friday's 121-119 victory over the Spurs.

Gordon continues to log heavy minutes for his new team but the lack of production is concerning. While he has had a few solid performances, it is safe to say his fantasy value has taken a hit since leaving Orlando. He is fine to have at the backend of your roster but for those looking for upside, it could be time to move on.

Gordon totaled nine points (4-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three assists, two rebounds, two steals and one block in a 106-96 victory over the Spurs on Wednesday.

Gordon had his second consecutive quiet game on the offensive end but was able to pick up solid defensive stats. It was the forward's eighth game of the season in which he recorded at least one steal and one block. Since joining the Nuggets, Gordon is averaging 12.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.2 steals per game.

Gordon finished with 24 points (10-13 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-5 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 35 minutes during Sunday's 119-109 victory over the Magic.

Gordon lined up against his former team for the first time and certainly reminded them of what he is capable of doing. This was easily his best game for the Nuggets and given his projected role, this could also be his best game for the Nuggets all season. He remains a 12-team worthy asset but going 10-of-13 from the field is not going to happen all too often and so GMs should not raise the bar too much after this performance.

Gordon scored six points (3-4 FG) to go along with four rebounds, one assist and one steal in a 104-95 victory over the 76ers on Tuesday.

Gordon had a quiet game on offense in his second game with the Nuggets, matching a season-low number of shot attempts. Despite the lack of offensive production, the forward recorded a team-high plus-19 during his 24 minutes of action. Gordon's usage will take a hit with Denver having a plethora of scoring options, but he should continue to be a solid fantasy player on his new team.

Gordon posted 13 points (6-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt), two rebounds, an assist and a steal across 21 minutes in Sunday's 126-102 win over the Hawks.

The Nuggets wasted no time in integrating Gordon, and his presence seemed to have a positive effect. He developed a quick rapport with Nikola Jokic, who got the ball to Gordon often. Gordon's arrival will have a ripple effect on a few players on the roster, including Paul Millsap and JaMychal Green. Unless Gordon is demoted into more of a sixth-man role, Millsap and Green's usage will take a considerable hit.

Gordon will start Sunday's game against the Hawks, Harrison Wind of DNVR Sports reports.

Set to make his Nuggets debut, Gordon will start at one forward spot alongside Michael Porter Jr., while veteran Paul Millsap moves to the bench. This is likely the lineup coach Mike Malone will roll with going forward, but Gordon could also spend some time working as more of a playmaker on the second unit.

Gordon will be available to make his Nuggets debut Sunday against Atlanta.

With the trade official and Gordon having passed through health protocols, he'll be available to make his first appearance with his new team. It's unclear if Denver will use Gordon as a starter or off the bench, but he could be somewhat-limited Sunday as he integrates himself with a new roster. Eventually, Gordon figures to settle in as Denver's third or fourth option on offense, while serving as the Nuggets' most versatile defender.

Gordon was traded to the Nuggets on Thursday, along with Gary Clark, in exchange for Gary Harris, R.J. Hampton and a future first-round pick, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

The deal is a relative bargain for Denver, which was able to land Gordon without giving up any regular contributors, as Harris (thigh) has missed significant time this season and remains out indefinitely. Hampton has some long-term upside, but he fell out of coach Mike Malone's rotation back in February. Meanwhile, the pick the Nuggets are sending to Orlando is a protected first-rounder in 2025. For Gordon, he gets his wish to move to a contending team where he'll have a chance to make a major impact during the postseason. The wing has battled through some injuries this season, but he's averaging 14.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists, while shooting a career-best 37.5 percent from three. Gordon is a major upgrade at forward -- particularly on the defensive end -- for a Nuggets team with title aspirations.

Gordon closed with 13 points (5-15 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 34 minutes during Wednesday's 112-111 victory over Phoenix.

Gordon struggled from the field in what could potentially be his last game for the Magic. He has made it clear he would like to be traded and if that comes to fruition, he could be on the move as soon as tomorrow. While a move could be good in terms of his growth as a player, it is hard to see his role increasing, meaning his fantasy value could take a hit. Stay tuned for what promises to be a busy trade deadline.

Gordon formally made the request on Friday, but it remains to be seen whether Orlando will grant his request before Thursday's deadline. The former top five pick has dealt with injuries this season, but he's averaged 15.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 4.2 assists across 23 games and would likely garner significant interest on the open market. Shams Charania of The Athletic reported last week that Houston, Minnesota, Denver and Portland all have interest in Gordon, while the Celtics are also believed to be in the mix.

Gordon finished with 38 points (14-20 FG, 7-8 3Pt, 3-6 FG), six boards, four assists and one steal in 36 minutes of a 121-113 win against the Nets on Friday.

Gordon's 38-points were a new season high as he teamed up with Evan Fournier to score more than half of his team's points in the win. Gordon had been dealing with an ankle injury this week but after appearing in back-to-back games he looks like he's put the injury behind him. He'll face the Celtics on Sunday.

Gordon had 17 points (6-11 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-6 FT), seven assists and five rebounds in Thursday's loss to the Knicks.

Making his return after a two-game absence, Gordon played a full workload (31 minutes) and did not appear hampered, as he handed out his most assists since Jan. 25. An ankle injury kept the athletic wing out of all but one game between the start of February and the All-Star break, but he'll play a major role the rest of the way, assuming he can stay healthy.

Gordon is averaging 10.2 rebounds and 7.7 assists over his last four outings.

Gordon tallied 13 points (3-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 6-8 FT), nine rebounds, seven assists, four blocks and one steal across 36 minutes Wednesday in the Magic's 97-96 win over the Timberwolves.

Gordon's shooting in recent games has left much to be desired, but the Magic's willingness to use him as a secondary ball handler behind Cole Anthony has his value on the rise. With an average of 6.3 assists per game over his last six games, Gordon has excelled as a point forward, and head coach Steve Clifford could look to keep him in that role for the rest of the season while Markelle Fultz (knee) is out of the picture.

Gordon totaled 18 points (6-18 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 17 rebounds, nine assists and two blocks across 36 minutes in Monday's 91-84 loss to the Knicks.

While he struggled shooting, Monday's game was easily Gordon's best performance of the season. He grabbed 17 rebounds, including seven offensive boards which were both career-highs. Over his last three games, Gordon's rebounding and assist totals have increased in each game while his shooting percentage has gone down in each of the last four games.

Gordon and the Magic won't play Wednesday against the Celtics after the NBA postponed the game, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

The Celtics still don't have enough players to suit up for, so this game will presumably be played at a later date. Orlando's next game also comes against Boston on Friday.

Gordon posted 21 points (8-14 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT), eight assists, five rebounds, two blocks and one steal over 35 minutes in the Magic's 121-99 loss to the Bucks on Monday.

Gordon fell two assists shy of just his second double-double of the season. Monday marked just the third time this season the Arizona product has gone for 20 or more points and his eight assists were a season-high.

Gordon went for 16 points (6-16 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 3-6 FT), five assists, four rebounds, one block and one steal in 36 minutes during the 112-98 loss to the Mavs on Saturday.

After holding him out Friday to protect his hamstring, the Magic did not hold Gordon back Saturday as he led the team with 36 minutes played. Despite the poor shooting performance, Gordon was able to hit the 15-point mark for the fourth consecutive game after two of his final three games of 2020 went for less than 10.

Gordon won't play Friday at Houston in order to manage his left hamstring injury.

The 25-year-old will sit for the front half of the back-to-back set Friday, marking his first absence of the season. Gordon figures to be back in the lineup for Saturday's matchup with the Mavericks.

Gordon had struggled all season long from beyond the arc, going 3-20 before draining six 3-pointers Monday night. He also recorded his first double-double of the season. Over his last two games, Gordon has totaled 39 points and 19 rebounds compared to just 22 points and 14 rebounds his three games prior.

Gordon posted 15 points (6-15 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-3 FT), eight rebounds and five assists across 28 minutes in Saturday's 108-99 loss against the Thunder.

Gordon ended just two rebounds shy of a double-double and, while he hasn't achieved that feat in any game this season, he's ended three or fewer boards away from that goal thrice already. This performance also ended a three-game streak where he was unable to reach the 15-point mark.

Gordon ended with just six points (1-8 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 4-5 FT), three rebounds, two blocks and one assist in 21 minutes during Thursday's 116-92 loss to the 76ers.

Gordon has been terrible to begin the season after putting together and recently impressive preseason. The fact he is coming off an injury does need to be considered when analyzing his production, or lack thereof. He is by no means a drop in 12-team leagues but if his manager is feeling frisky, perhaps you could throw a buy-low offer their way.

Gordon is expected to play about 28-to-29 minutes Tuesday at Oklahoma City as he isn't completely recovered from the hamstring injury sustained last season, Roy Parry of the Orlando Sentinel reports.

The 25-year-old was limited to 20 minutes in the second half of the back-to-back set Sunday and will have his minutes monitored again Tuesday. Coming in, coach Steve Clifford indicated that Gordon's minutes would likely be limited on the second half of the back-to-back set. The Arizona product played 30 minutes Friday night against Washington, posting 15 points, nine rebounds and three assists. Orlando has an off day Monday before traveling to Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

Evan Fournier (elbow) looks set to miss up to two weeks and so the Magic are going to need everyone to step up on the offensive end of the floor. While this bodes well for Gordon's shot attempts, it could also emphasize his poor percentages moving forward.

The 24-year-old is averaging 19.3 points, 8.9 boards, 4.9 assists, 1.9 threes and 1.3 steals through nine games in February, a significant jump on his production coming into the month.

While it wasn't a strong scoring effort, Gordon continued his recent run of impressive distribution numbers. He's averaging 18.4 points, 8.8 boards, 5.0 assists, 1.8 threes and 1.4 steals through eight games in February -- a significant jump from the 3.2 assists a game he's averaging on the season.

Gordon fell just a board and a dime shy of a triple-double while dishing a season high assist total and grabbing at least nine boards for the fifth time in the last six games. He enters the All-Star break on a high note and will try to build on this recent stretch heading into next Friday's matchup versus the Mavericks.

He has played much better beginning in January, this after a rough start to the campaign, and Gordon will try to keep it rolling during Wednesday's tilt versus the Pistons.

Gordon has topped the 15-point plateau in four straight contests, and he seems to be battling Evan Fournier to be the team's second offensive option behind Nikola Vucevic. He is averaging 19.8 points, 7.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game in four February contests.

His ceiling is likely to be around the top-100 meaning he is certainly not someone you need to be attached to moving forward.
