He's a must-start player across all formats at this point due to the role he's managed to carve in the Pacers' offensive scheme.

A strong argument could be made to say Mathurin has been the Pacers' best offensive player since the beginning of November. The third-year guard has scored in double digits in all but one of his nine November outings and has reached the 20-point mark six times in his last seven in that span. As a result, Mathurin is averaging a strong 21.7 points per game since the beginning of the month.

Mathurin was one of Indiana's best offensive players despite coming off the bench, and he made the most of his minutes by putting up his seventh 20-point game of the season. The fact that three of those outings have come over Indiana's last five games suggests Mathurin is perhaps going to his most productive stretch of the campaign, though to be fair, he doesn't add much to the table on a consistent basis outside of his scoring figures.

Mathurin led all bench players in Wednesday's contest in scoring while connecting on a pair of threes and adding a trio of assists in a winning effort. Mathurin has posted at least 15 points in three straight games and on 14 occasions this year.

Mathurin has now registered double-digit points in back-to-back games. His 36 minutes of playing time Monday was hist most since Dec. 11 against the Pistons as he got more opportunities with Bruce Brown (knee) sidelined for the contest. Mathurin could see more playing time in Wednesday's rematch against the Bucks after Andrew Nembhard left Monday's game due to back soreness.

Mathurin notched 15 points (5-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-5 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one block in 26 minutes during Thursday's 120-104 win over Chicago.

Mathurin reached the 15-point mark for the first time since Dec. 18, but his overall numbers have slumped a bit compared to his impressive rookie year. The second-year forward will likely continue as an option off the bench based on his struggles when handed a starting role. Despite the role and limitations of being a second-unit player, Mathurin has relied on his scoring prowess to remain relevant in fantasy. Over his last 10 outings, he's averaged 14.4 points per game while averaging 25.5 minutes per contest.

Mathurin logged 10 points (3-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and one steal over 24 minutes during Tuesday's 123-117 victory over the Rockets.

Mathurin didn't shoot well in the contest, but his performance was nonetheless a step in the right direction after he averaged 4.0 points on 26.7 percent shooting (including an 0-for-6 mark from deep) over his previous two games. It's been an up-and-down season for the second-year pro, especially of late -- he's scored 30-plus points twice in his past nine games but also has three performances of six or fewer points during that span. His inconsistency and minimal peripheral stats make him a shaky target in standard fantasy leagues, and he currently ranks outside the top 200 players in nine-category leagues on the campaign.

Mathurin finished Monday's 151-127 loss to the Clippers with 34 points (12-20 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 7-7 FT), six rebounds, two assists and one steal across 35 minutes.

On a night with very little to cheer about for Pacers fans, Mathurin stood out with a season-high 34 points. Despite moving to the bench, he has been scoring the ball relatively well of late, tallying double-digits in four of the past five games. He has been inside the top 100 over the past two weeks, averaging 17.7 points per game, adding 4.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.2 three-pointers. If he was dropped, it might be worthwhile grabbing him if you require a points boost.

Mathurin had 30 points (10-17 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 7-8 FT), seven rebounds, eight assists and two steals across 37 minutes during Monday's 131-123 victory over Detroit.

Mathurin notched the third 30-point game of his career, while his eight assists marked a new personal high. Mathurin's trademark aggressiveness getting downhill was fully on display, but its presence as part of a well-rounded offensive showing is notable. Mathurin has averaged 16.3 points on 50.0 percent shooting in 10 games off the bench this season, and he's an integral factor in Indiana's future regardless of his role.

Mathurin ended Saturday's 123-109 loss to the Lakers with 20 points (5-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 9-9 FT), two rebounds, one block and one steal across 30 minutes.

The Pacers struggled to get things going against the Lakers and never really found themselves on the court the way it happened against Boston and Milwaukee, but Mathurin tried to provide a spark off the bench and finished the game as one of the team's top scorers. Mathurin was terrible from inside the arc, connecting on just one of seven attempts, but he was still able to extend his double-digit scoring streak to five games thanks to a quartet of three-pointers. During that stretch, Mathurin has averaged 14.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 25.8 minutes per game. Despite moving to the bench in mid-November, Mathurin is still playing heavy minutes and delivering solid scoring production, but his efforts in the peripheral categories leave fantasy managers in category leagues wanting more.

Mathurin notched 11 points (4-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-5 FT) and four rebounds over 22 minutes during Monday's 114-110 loss to the Trail Blazers.

Mathurin was held to a single-digit scoring total for a second consecutive matchup and was unable to generate any production in secondary categories. Although he remained in the starting lineup Tuesday, the 21-year-old was limited to just 16 minutes, his second-lowest total of the season.

Mathurin racked up 26 points (9-18 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 36 minutes during Thursday's 126-124 victory over Milwaukee.

Mathurin has his best outing of the season, leading all Pacers in rebounds while finishing with his first double-double of the year. Mathurin set season-high marks in both scoring and rebounds in the win, posting two straight games with at least 20 points and nine rebounds.

Mathurin had 22 points (9-18 FG, 4-7 3Pt), nine rebounds, four assists and two steals over 38 minutes during Wednesday's 134-118 win over the Jazz.

The 22 points and four three-pointers were a season high for Mathurin, while the second-year guard fell one board shy of his first double-double of 2023-24. After a strong rookie campaign, the 21-year-old has had a little trouble getting going to kick off his sophomore season with the Pacers, scoring 10 points or less in four of eight games, but Wednesday's big performance could be a sign he's heating up.

Mathurin provided eight points (3-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, five assists and one steal in 24 minutes during Saturday's 125-124 loss to the Hornets.

Mathurin's inefficiency on nights when he fails to earn free throws is a troubling trend. He's shooting just 39.3 percent from the field and 20.0 percent from beyond the arc through Indiana's first six games, but he's drawing shooting fouls on 15.8 percent of his possessions. His foul-drawing frequency ranks fourth among all wings and second among all combo guards in the league this season, making Mathurin a sneaky bounce-back candidate.

The Pacers announced Wednesday that Mathurin will sit out the remainder of the Las Vegas Summer League for rest purposes.

Mathurin isn't likely to help out in multiple categories, but with the Pacers needing someone to score, he could be in line for big games to close out the season.

Mathurin finished Sunday's 115-105 loss to the Cavaliers with 19 points (5-12 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 8-8 FT), nine rebounds and two blocks in 33 minutes.

As has often been the case during his rookie season when he's played extended minutes, Mathurin delivered a strong scoring total highlighted by excellent free-throw shooting. His contributions are typically more limited in just about every other area of the box score, but Mathurin delivered more than usual in both the rebounds and blocks categories. The two rejections are particularly noteworthy, as Mathurin had just 10 total blocks in his previous 74 appearances on the season.

He remains a viable asset, even in 12-team formats, although as we saw here when his shot isn't falling, he has very little else to fall back on.

The Arizona product continues to serve as a consistent source of scoring for the Pacers off the bench, posting 16.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists over his last seven appearances.

It was the rookie best scoring effort so far in December, and his biggest output since he dropped 30 against the Nuggets on Nov. 9. Mathurin may be starting to feel the grind of his first NBA campaign, however. Through eight games this month, he's shooting just 38.2 percent from the floor and 21.6 percent from beyond the arc, averaging 14.3 points, 4.5 boards, 1.6 assists and 1.0 threes over that stretch.

Even if he's coming off the bench, Mathurin remains a valuable fantasy piece across most formats, and he is showing elite value in dynasty formats if this six-game sample is a sign of things to come in the future.

Still, it was a solid performance for the Pacers' key role player off the bench.

Mathurin continued to fire away from the floor, reaffirming the confidence the coaching staff have clearly afforded him. Come the regular season, he is likely to take a bit of a step back, once the team is at full strength. With that being said, he is obviously a big part of their long-term future and although he will be coming off the bench, he makes for a viable option toward the back end of standard drafts.

Mathurin has looked great through three Summer League contests, scoring 20-plus in two of them. His efficiency was excellent Tuesday, and he also managed three steals with zero turnovers. The two-way effort is very encouraging from the No. 6 overall pick in last month's draft.
