Aside from his rebounding, Portis' best ability in fantasy is his availability, and he has played in 65 or more regular-season contests in each of his last five seasons. The 29-year-old has averaged 12.4 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 0.9 blocks while shooting 47.6 percent from the field across 26.3 minutes per game thus far.

Portis is in the Bucks' starting lineup for Monday's game against the Cavaliers.

Portis will make his first start of the 2024-25 regular season Monday due to Giannis Antetokounmpo being sidelined with an adductor strain. Through the first six games of the campaign, Portis is averaging 11.0 points on 47.6 percent shooting, 7.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists over 24.2 minutes per contest.

Portis contributed four points (2-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt), six rebounds and one block across 19 minutes during Monday's 119-108 loss to the Celtics.

This was Portis' worst performance of the young season, resulting in just 19 minutes off the bench. He was productive in his previous three games, however, so fantasy managers should brush this off as a simple off night for the veteran forward. For the season, he's hitting 51.3 percent of his shots from the field.

Portis closed with 16 points (7-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and one block across 27 minutes during Sunday's 115-102 loss to Brooklyn.

Portis logged his first double-double of the season Sunday, and he finished as the Bucks' third-leading scorer behind Giannis Antetokounmpo (22) and Damian Lillard (21). Portis will continue to be the first big man off the bench for the Bucks this season behind Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez.

Portis (rest) isn't listed on the injury report for Wednesday's regular-season opener against the 76ers.

As expected, Portis is good to go for the regular season after resting during the Bucks' preseason finale. The veteran finished third in Sixth Man of the Year voting last year, trailing Naz Reid and Malik Monk.

Portis (rest) is inactive for Thursday's preseason game against the Mavericks, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.

Portis has been one of the best players in the preseason throughout the league, and he's getting the night off in the final tune-up before the start of the regular season next Wednesday. Portis will open the 2024-25 regular season as the Bucks' primary frontcourt backup.

Portis compiled 23 points (8-9 FG, 5-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and an assist across15 minutes in Thursday's 107-102 loss to the Lakers.

Portis drilled a flurry of threes during his time on the floor and nailed all five of his attempts. He matched that feat just once last season, so although Portis can be counted on to take some shots from long range, Thursday's result was an outlier event. Portis led the team in scoring and is expected to play a sixth-man role once again this season.

Portis delivered 16 points (5-7 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), a rebound and an assist across 14 minutes off the bench in Sunday's 120-87 preseason loss to the Pistons.

Portis was efficient with his shot and made the most of his minutes out there, though it's not like he's competing for a role off the bench or anything like that heading into the 2024-25 campaign. Portis is penciled to operate as the Bucks' sixth man and plug-in starter whenever there's a frontcourt player unavailable due to his versatility on both ends of the court. He figures to see steady minutes off the bench once the Bucks open the regular season against the 76ers on Sep. 23.

Portis ended with 20 points (8-17 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-7 FT), 15 rebounds and two assists over 36 minutes in Thursday's 120-98 loss to Indiana in Game 6 of the first round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs.

Portis once again dominated the glass for Milwaukee in a season-ending loss Thursday, leading all players in the contest in rebounds while ending as one of three Bucks with 20 or more points in a double-double outing. Portis stepped up nicely in the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) in the first-round series, posting a double-double in five of the six contests while surpassing the 20-point mark in the final two games against Indiana.

Portis racked up 29 points (14-24 FG, 1-3 3Pt), 10 rebounds, one assist and one steal over 39 minutes during Tuesday's 115-92 victory over the Pacers in Game 5 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Portis atoned for his ejection in Game 4, leading the Bucks to an emphatic victory. He led all scorers with 29 points, having his way on the interior against a Pacers team that looked totally out-enthused. With Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) still on the sideline, Portis has been the primary beneficiary. Milwaukee will need for him to replicate this performance should they hope to force a Game 7.

Portis has been ejected from Sunday's contest against the Pacers, Kelly Iko of The Athletic reports.

Portis was assessed with two technical fouls stemming from an altercation with Andrew Nembhard in the first quarter, disqualifying him for the remainder of the game. The already shorthanded Bucks will likely lean on Andre Jackson, Pat Connaughton and Jae Crowder to fill Portis' role.

Portis finished with 17 points (7-15 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 18 rebounds, one block and one steal over 44 minutes in Friday's 121-118 overtime loss to Indiana in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals.

Portis dominated the boards in Friday's contest, leading all players in rebounds while finishing as one of two Bucks with a double-double in a losing effort in overtime. Portis has stepped in nicely while Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) continuing to miss time, recording a double-double in all three games in the quarterfinals thus far. Portis will continue to remain in the starting lineup until Antetokounmpo is able to return, but will become a key player off of Milwaukee's bench if the two-time MVP does come back for Game 4 or at some point in the series against Indiana.

Portis supplied 14 points (6-16 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists and one steal across 30 minutes during Tuesday's 125-108 loss to Indiana in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

Although Portis didn't come anywhere near Giannis Antetokounmpo's (calf) usual production, he's doing enough to keep the interior afloat. Portis is expected to play at least one more game as Antetokounmpo's fill-in, but he'll need to keep the double-doubles coming. The Bucks' playoff fortunes will fade rapidly without a stronger response to Pascal Siakam and Myles Turner in the paint.

Portis posted 15 points (7-15 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 11 rebounds and one assist across 31 minutes before fouling out of Sunday's 109-94 victory over the Pacers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

Portis remained in the starting lineup for Game 1, filling the vacant spot left by Giannis Antetkounmpo (calf). While he is certainly not a like-for-like replacement, Portis is more than capable of producing, especially on the offensive end. With Antetokounmpo likely to miss at least another game, Portis should continue to serve as the second or third option on offense for the time being.

Portis had 17 points (6-9 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals across 31 minutes during Sunday's 113-88 loss to the Magic.

Portis earned his third straight start in place of the injured Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf), leading all Bucks in rebounds to go along with a team-high-tying point total in the lone double-double of the contest. Portis has stepped up nicely for Milwaukee to round out the regular season, posting a double-double in four of the final eight games of the year.

Portis (rest) is available for Friday's game against the Thunder.

Portis, Brook Lopez (rest) and Khris Middleton (ankle) have all been upgraded from questionable to available, while Damian Lillard (adductor) has been downgraded to out and will join Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) on the sidelines. With Antetokounmpo out again, Portis should remain in the first unit after posting 30 points (14-18 FG), nine rebounds, five steals and three assists as a starter during Wednesday's win over Orlando.

Portis is questionable for Friday's game against the Thunder due to rest.

Portis has been anchoring the second unit all season long, but he started in Wednesday's win over the Magic, posting 30 points (14-18 FG, 2-2 3Pt), nine rebounds, three assists and five steals in 30 minutes. The Bucks might choose to rest him considering the uncertainty regarding Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf), and if that's the case, then Jae Crowder or Danilo Gallinari could be in line to see more minutes in the final two games of the regular season.

Portis is in the starting five for Wednesday's game versus the Magic.

Portis will replace Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) in the starting lineup Wednesday. Portis tallied 27 points, seven rebounds and three steals in 36 minutes during his only other start this season.

Portis closed Sunday's 122-109 loss to New York with 24 points (10-15 FG, 4-6 3Pt), five rebounds and two assists across 29 minutes.

This was a terrific showing for Portis as he continues to impress off the bench. Over his last four games, Portis has put together averages of 18.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.0 blocks and 2.0 three-pointers in 27.5 minutes.

Portis posted 19 points (8-16 FG, 3-5 3Pt), seven rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal over 28 minutes during Wednesday's 111-101 loss to the Grizzlies.

Portis continues to strengthen his candidacy as the Sixth Man of the Year with another strong two-way showing. Portis is ending the campaign on a very strong note for the Bucks, and his role tends to grow whenever one of the starters is not available. Portis is averaging 15.6 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists and a combined 1.4 steals-plus-blocks across 25.3 minutes per game since the All-Star break, making him one of the most effective per-minute bench players in The Association.

Portis closed Tuesday's 128-124 double-overtime loss to the Lakers with 18 points (7-15 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 13 rebounds, one block and one steal over 30 minutes.

Portis and Giannis Antetokounmpo (29 points, 21 rebounds) combined to account for 55.7 percent of Milwaukee's rebounds as a team -- although Los Angeles still won the rebounding battle 69 to 61. Tuesday represents a quintessential performance of the best Portis brings off Milwaukee's bench, contributing via efficient scoring, reliable floor spacing and two-way rebounding energy.

Portis finished with 24 points (11-20 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 0-1 FT), 15 rebounds and one block over 33 minutes in Wednesday's 122-119 loss to the Celtics.

With Giannis Antetokounmpo (hamstring) sidelined for the second-straight game, Portis ate up the forward minutes off the bench and registered his 12th double-double of the season. It was a nice follow-up from his 31-point performance Sunday against the Suns, though Milwaukee wasn't able to come away with the win Wednesday. Portis is averaging 17.6 points on 54.0 percent shooting (including 48.1 percent from three on 3.0 3PA/G) and 9.1 rebounds over 26.3 minutes per game in March.

Portis closed with 31 points (13-20 FG, 5-5 3Pt), 10 rebounds, two assists and three steals across 30 minutes off the bench during Sunday's 140-129 victory over the Suns.

The double-double was the 11th of the season for Portis, while the 31 points tied his best scoring performance of the season -- he also erupted for 31 against the Pistons on Dec. 16. The 29-year-old big has hit for at least 20 points four times in the last 10 games as the Bucks' primary second-unit threat, a stretch in which he's averaging 16.9 points, 8.5 boards, 1.6 assists, 1.3 threes and 0.9 steals while shooting 53.4 percent from the floor.

Portis had 20 points (8-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and one assist over 24 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 125-90 loss to the Warriors.

The veteran big has re-emerged as a key member of the Bucks' second unit, scoring at least 20 points in three of the last five games and delivering double-digit points in 12 straight contests. Over the latter stretch, Portis is averaging 16.6 points, 7.8 boards, 2.0 assists and 1.4 threes while shooting 52.2 percent from the floor and 42.5 percent from long distance

Portis contributed 28 points (12-18 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 16 rebounds and two assists over 30 minutes during Monday's 113-106 win over the Clippers.

The Bucks didn't have Giannis Antetokounmpo (Achilles) for this one, and even though Portis continued playing his regular role off the bench, he was one of the team's best performers, finishing second in scoring behind Damian Lillard and being an absolute force on the glass. It's clear playing off the bench or starting doesn't affect Portis' fantasy upside, and the veteran forward remains a productive player who can produce double-doubles when given enough minutes. Over his last 10 appearances, he's averaging 16.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.7 steals across 24.1 minutes per game off the bench.

Portis finished Friday's 113-97 win over the Bulls with 11 points (4-13 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-4 FT), nine rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals across 26 minutes.

While it wasn't a stellar shooting night for Portis, he provided solid rebound totals in the win and finished second behind Giannis Antetokounmpo in the category. He's had a nice three-game run with the second unit, averaging 15..3 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.2 steals over the span.

Portis provided 14 points (5-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-5 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists and three steals in 28 minutes off the bench during Thursday's 111-99 win over Charlotte.

It's the ninth double-double of the season for Portis, who saw his usage and production increase in February. Over 12 games on the month, the 29-year-old forward averaging 15.3 points, 7.4 boards, 2.0 assists, 1.4 threes and 1.2 steals in only 26.0 minutes a contest, emerging as a key piece of the Bucks' experienced second unit.

Portis racked up 21 points (9-16 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds and three assists in 20 minutes during Tuesday's 123-85 victory over Charlotte.

Portis continues to make a huge impact off the bench for the Bucks, and this was his eighth consecutive game with double-digit points. Over that eight-game stretch, Portis is averaging 15.8 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.3 blocks per contest. Those numbers are good enough to make him valuable in all fantasy formats despite his bench role.

Portis closed with 15 points (7-12 FG, 1-1 3Pt), seven rebounds and two assists over 25 minutes during Thursday's 113-110 loss to the Grizzlies.

Portis scored in double figures for a fifth straight game and added at least seven rebounds for the fourth time during that stretch. The veteran backup has seen a slight drop in production compared to last year, but he's still a vital part of Milwaukee's rotation, especially if Khris Middleton (ankle) remains sidelined following the All-Star break.

Portis provided 13 points (6-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt), eight rebounds and three assists over 25 minutes during Monday's 112-95 victory over the Nuggets.

Portis has shot an uncharacteristically low 40.8 percent from the field across his last four games, dipping his season average to 49.2 percent on 10.3 shots per game. Nonetheless, he continues bringing valued spacing and bucket-getting with size while ranking in the 83rd percentile among all bigs in defensive rebounding rate this season.

Portis will come off the bench for Tuesday's game against the Suns.

Although Brook Lopez (personal) is out again, the Bucks are rolling with Robin Lopez as their starting center Tuesday. Portis had one of his best games of the season Sunday against the Jazz, producing 27 points (11-20 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds and three steals over 36 minutes.

Portis moved into the starting lineup for the first time this season in place of Brook Lopez, who missed the contest for personal reasons. He added a season-high three steals and seven boards to reward daily fantasy players who added him to their lineups. Portis has shown the ability to produce well as a reserve, but if Lopez misses additional time and Portis continues to start in his place, he's likely to have a short-term spike in value.

Portis will start Sunday's game against the Jazz.

Portis is spending 63.0 percent of his minutes as a center for Milwaukee, and his defensive rebounding rate ranks in the 82nd percentile, just below Deandre Ayton but just above Jarrett Allen.

Portis had 20 points (9-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt), seven rebounds, two assists and one steal in 22 minutes before fouling out of Saturday's 141-117 win over New Orleans.

Portis launched his fourth-highest shot quantity of the season Saturday en route to his sixth game with 20 plus-points. He has been mentioned in trade rumors throughout past weeks, but Portis plays an imperative role as frontcourt depth with the ability to space the floor and rebound in the second unit. Remaining in Milwaukee is likely, especially considering the Bucks' limited trade assets that could be packaged with Portis to improve the roster.

Portis closed Friday's 112-100 loss to the Cavaliers with 12 points (4-8 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds and one steal over 22 minutes.

Portis snapped a streak of three consecutive games with double-digit scoring totals Friday, and he came within two rebounds of a double-double in the defeat. He's now secured at least six boards in six of his last eight appearances, and he's scored in double figures five times across that span.

Portis amassed 22 points (9-11 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds and one assist across 26 minutes during Sunday's 143-142 overtime victory over Sacramento.

Portis stepped up for a Milwaukee team that was without Khris Middleton for the second leg of their back-to-back set. The forward recorded his seventh double-double of the season in the win, and he's in the midst of his best stretch of the campaign. Over his last three games, Portis holds averages of 20.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.0 three-pointers in just 22.8 minutes.

Portis chipped in 28 points (11-18 FG, 5-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 12 rebounds and one steal over 22 minutes during Thursday's 135-102 win over Boston.

Portis led all players in Thursday's contest in scoring and threes made while hauling in a team-high-tying rebound total in a double-double performance. Portis connected on at least five threes for the first time while tying a season high in rebounds and posting his sixth double-double of the year.

Portis contributed five points (2-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds and one block in 21 minutes during Thursday's 125-121 victory over San Antonio.

Despite averaging 12.3 points per game this season, Portis has failed to score in double digits over his last four outings. The 28-year-old big man is shooting just 35.3 percent from the field and 10.0 percent from three over that span. Portis has also seen his rebounding drop significantly, going from 9.6 per contest last season to 6.7 in 2023-24.

Portis chipped in 12 points (5-11 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and nine rebounds across 31 minutes off the bench during Monday's 129-122 loss to New York.

The 28-year-old forward just missed recording his fourth double-double in the last six games as he led the Bucks' second unit in scoring, rebounding and minutes. Portis is enjoying a strong December overall, averaging 15.8 points, 7.8 boards and 1.5 threes in 24.5 minutes a game over the last 11 contests while shooting a blistering 57.6 percent from the floor and 42.5 percent from beyond the arc.

Portis ended Saturday's 130-111 victory over the Knicks with 23 points (9-14 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist and two steals across 27 minutes off the bench.

It was the fifth double-double of the season for Portis, but three of them have come in the last five games. The veteran big is having a strong December overall, averaging 16.2 points, 7.7 boards and 1.7 threes in 23.9 minutes over the last 10 games.

Portis produced 23 points (10-16 FG, 3-6 3Pt), 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals over 26 minutes during Tuesday's 132-119 victory over the Spurs.

Portis was one of Milwaukee's best players in this one despite coming off the bench, and his physicality gave him a boost against a more undersized Spurs frontcourt. Portis hasn't posted the same numbers he's had in previous seasons, but he remains a valuable piece off the bench for the Bucks. He's on a roll of late after scoring in double figures in his last five outings, a span in which he's averaging 20.2 points per game while shooting an impressive, and almost unsustainable, 63.1 percent from the field.

Portis posted 31 points (11-18 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 5-5 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist and one steal in 27 minutes during Saturday's 146-114 win over Detroit.

Portis led all bench players in Saturday's game in scoring while hauling in a team-best rebound total and setting season-high marks in points, rebounds and threes made. Portis has finished with 17 or more points in three straight contests, hauling in 10 or more rebounds in two games this year.

Portis was ejected from Wednesday's game after receiving his second technical foul, Alex Golden of the 'Setting the Pace' podcast reports.

Portis picked up his first technical in a confrontation with Aaron Nesmith after Nesmith committed a hard foul on Giannis Antetokounmpo. Soon after, Portis was handed a second tech during a verbal altercation with Obi Toppin. He'll leave the contest with 19 points (8-13 FG, 3-4 3Pt), two rebounds and two assists across 23 minutes. Portis should be expected to be back in action Saturday against the Pistons.

Portis contributed 17 points (7-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and seven rebounds over 25 minutes during Monday's 133-129 overtime victory over the Bulls.

Portis played 25 minutes off the bench, scoring at least 13 points for the third time in the past four games. Although he remains a key piece off the bench for the Bucks, Portis is barely inside the top 150 for the season. He can be utilized for streaming purposes but at this point, it's hard to make a case for him being a must-roster player.

Portis accumulated 15 points (7-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt) and 11 rebounds in 23 minutes during Saturday's 132-121 win over the Hawks.

Portis didn't have his best offensive showing, but he still found a way to record a double-double despite logging just 23 minutes. The veteran big man has struggled when it comes to his consistency, however, and he has scored in double digits just twice over his last six outings. That lack of consistency certainly conspires against his upside in most formats.

Portis amassed four points (2-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt), nine rebounds, two assists and two steals across 31 minutes during Thursday's 120-113 overtime loss to the Bulls.

This was an uninspiring fantasy line from Portis, especially considering he played 31 minutes. He's been cold for several games now, scoring in double figures just once in his last five contests. Over that stretch, Portis is averaging 5.6 points and 6.4 rebounds in 26.0 minutes.

Portis contributed 13 points (6-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt), seven rebounds, one assist and one steal in 30 minutes off the bench during Friday's 130-99 victory over the Hornets.

Seven different Bucks hit for double-digit points on the night, but it was Portis that led the second unit in scoring. The 28-year-old big has contributed more than 10 points in seven straight games as he finds his groove, averaging 14.7 points, 7.1 boards, 1.4 threes and 1.5 steals plus blocks during that stretch while shooting 50.6 percent from the floor, 40.0 percent from beyond the arc and 93.8 percent from the free-throw line.

Portis posted 11 points (5-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 24 minutes during Thursday's 126-124 loss to the Pacers.

Portis once again provided Milwaukee with a spark off the bench in the paint, leading all Bucks players in scoring and rebounds while finishing two boards shy of a double-double. Portis has gotten off to a strong start to the regular season, reaching the double-digit point mark in seven of his eight appearances while adding five or more rebounds in six outings.

Portis totaled 18 points (7-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five rebounds and two assists across 23 minutes during Wednesday's 120-118 victory over the Pistons.

Portis stepped up for Milwaukee off the bench when Giannis Antetokounmpo was ejected in the second half of Wednesday's game, finishing second on the team in scoring and ending two points short of the 20-point mark. Portis posted his highest scoring total over seven appearances, reaching double figures in six contests this year.

Portis closed Monday's 129-125 win over Brooklyn with 11 points (3-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, two assists and two steals over 26 minutes.

Portis will be relieved that he hit a three-pointer, as it was his first make of the season on nine total attempts. He's due for some positive regression in that category, as he averaged 1.4 three-pointers per game in 2022-23 on 37.0 percent shooting.

Portis registered 16 points (7-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals across 19 minutes during Monday's 122-114 victory over Miami.

Portis has been one of the most productive bench players in the league over the last few seasons, and while the current campaign is only three games old, he's once again putting up solid numbers and showing that ability to produce when called upon duty. Portis has yet to play more than 21 minutes in a game and has come off the bench in each of those appearances, yet he's also scored in double digits each time. Portis entered the starting lineup with teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo (back) sidelined and provided a massive double-double in the Game 2 blowout. Not only did the seven-year vet collect a game-high 15 rebounds, but he also set a playoff career-high assist mark with five dimes. Portis dominated the glass early and collected nine boards before the half. As long as he remains in the starting lineup, Portis should continue to provide solid stats across the board.

Portis will enter the first five for Wednesday's Game 2 versus Miami.

Portis will step into the starting lineup Wednesday with Giannis Antetokounmpo (back) sidelined for the contest. The big man went off for 21 points and eight rebounds over 27 minutes of Game 1 action and should certainly be in fantasy considerations with Antetokounmpo inactive Wednesday. In 22 regular-season starts, Portis averaged 17.4 points and 10.8 rebounds over 30.4 minutes.

Portis totaled 21 points (9-15 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT) and eight rebounds across 27 minutes during Sunday's 130-117 loss to Miami in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals.

Portis led all bench players in Sunday's Game 1 in scoring and rebounds while finishing as one of two Bucks players with 20 or more points in a near double-double showing. Portis posted at least 20 points and eight rebounds on 12 occasions during the regular season.

Portis isn't starting Game 1 of the Eastern Conference First Round against Miami on Sunday.

Portis drew the start in last weekend's regular-season finale since the Bucks rested their entire starting lineup, but he'll unsurprisingly retreat to the bench for the team's first playoff matchup. The 28-year-old has averaged 12.6 points and 9.1 rebounds in 23.9 minutes per game off the bench this year.

Portis will start Sunday's game against the Raptors, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet reports.

After resting Friday against Memphis, Portis is back in action as the 1-seed Bucks finish out their regular-season schedule. Milwaukee will be without its entire regular starting five, but it's possible Portis could see his minutes monitored given that it's ultimately a meaningless contest.

Portis will replace Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) in the starting five Wednesday. Portis is averaging 17.0 points, 11.0 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 30.6 minutes across his previous 20 starts this season.

Portis accumulated 19 points (5-15 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 4-8 FT), 20 rebounds and four assists across 31 minutes during Tuesday's 140-128 win over Washington.

Portis couldn't find his midrange game and somehow got no easy buckets out of five offensive rebounds, but he canned his threes while dominating the glass. Portis is an X-factor in Milwaukee's offense.

Portis notched 12 points (5-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt) and 10 rebounds in 20 minutes during Thursday's 140-99 loss to the Celtics.

Portis provided a spark off the bench Thursday for the Bucks, finishing as one of three players in double figures in scoring while posting a team-high rebound mark in a double-double performance. Portis has secured a double-double in two of his last three appearances.

Portis closed Wednesday's 149-136 win over the Pacers with 12 points (5-7 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and eight rebounds over 23 minutes.

Portis returned to the second unit with Jrue Holiday and Giannis Antetokounmpo returning to the starting five, finishing with bench-leading scoring and rebound totals while finishing two boards shy of a double-double. Portis has tallied at least 10 points and five rebounds in four of his last five outings.

Portis isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Pacers.

Even with Khris Middleton (rest) sidelined, Portis is the odd man out with Jrue Holiday and Giannis Antetokounmpo returning to the starting five.

Portis finished Monday's 126-117 win over the Pistons with 21 points (7-14 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 14 rebounds, two assists and one block in 31 minutes.

After coming off the bench the last four games, Portis returned to the starting five and delivered his 35th double-double of the season. In fact, the 28-year-old has double-doubles in four of his five starts in March, and he missed the fifth by a single rebound. If Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) misses additional time, Portis figures to be one of the biggest beneficiaries.

Portis is starting Monday's contest against the Pistons.

With Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) ruled out, Portis will make his 20th start of the season. The Arkansas product is averaging 16.8 points, 10.8 rebounds and 1.9 assists over 30.6 minutes per game across his 19 appearances as a starter this year.

Portis tallied five points (2-9 FG, 0-4 3PT, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, and two assists across 22 minutes in Friday's 144-116 victory over the Jazz

Portis struggled with his shot in this one, but managed to stay active on the boards. It was just his second single-digit scoring effort in his last nine games. All-in-all, the big-man has averaged 11.6 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.1 triples across 24.1 minutes in March.

Portis chipped in 19 points (7-14 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-8 FT), 10 rebounds and one steal in 25 minutes during Wednesday's 130-94 win over San Antonio.

Portis struggled to get going early, going just 2-of-8 from the floor for seven points in the first half while adding only two rebounds. He turned things around after the break, however, knocking down five of six field-goal attempts for 12 points to go along with eight boards and a steal. The Bucks' forward finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds on the night to notch his fourth double-double this month. The one blemish on the night for Portis came at the free-throw line, where he went just 2-of-8 and he's now shooting a season-low 62.5 percent from the charity stripe in March.

Portis isn't starting Sunday against the Raptors.

Portis drew the start Thursday against the Pacers and posted 16 points, nine rebounds and two blocks in 33 minutes. However, he'll retreat to the bench with Brook Lopez back in action Sunday.

Portis was back in the starting lineup with Brook Lopez (ankle) sidelined and nearly posted another double-double. Across 19 starts this season, Portis has averaged 16.8 points and 10.8 rebounds in 30.6 minutes. However, as a reserve (40 games), he's posted 12.3 points and 9.0 rebounds in 23.7 minutes.

Portis will join the first five for Thursday's matchup with the Pacers.

Portis will step into the starting center spot in place of Brook Lopez (ankle) alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo in the frontcourt. Portis has double-doubled in each of his last three starts, averaging 19.7 points and 12.3 rebounds on 61.5 percent shooting from the field in that span.

Portis produced three points (1-1 FG, 1-2 FT) and three rebounds over 19 minutes during Monday's 133-124 win over the Kings.

The return of Giannis Antetokounmpo and the impressive play of Robin Lopez has forced Portis to adapt to a lesser role off the bench, and he struggled to make an impact in this game despite playing close to 20 minutes. Portis is averaging just 4.2 points per game in his last five games off the bench, and his fantasy value will continue to plummet if he can't bounce back from that negative run soon.

Portis will come off the bench Monday night against the Kings, Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Portis fared well in three straight starts while Giannis Antetokounmpo recovered from a hand injury, but he'll return to his usual bench role with Antetokounmpo back in action Monday night. Portis hasn't had a big role on the offensive end as a reserve of late, as he's been held to seven points or fewer in his last four matchups off the bench.

Portis logged 15 points (5-11 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 13 rebounds and two assists over 32 minutes during Saturday's 125-116 overtime loss to the Warriors.

Portis has started three straight games in the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo (hand), and he has posted a double-double in each of those contests. The veteran had been struggling mightily prior to entering the starting five, averaging just 4.5 points on 31.8 percent shooting over his previous four contests. It's clear that Portis is most valuable as a fantasy asset when he's starting -- he's averaging 16.8 points and 10.9 boards in that role this season versus 12.6 points and 9.3 rebounds as a reserve -- but he'll likely return to the bench when Antetokounmpo is able to return.

Portis finished Thursday's 118-113 victory over Brooklyn with 28 points (11-15 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 13 rebounds and two assists in 30 minutes.

Portis started for the second game in a row with Giannis Antetokounmpo (illness) sidelined and posted a second consecutive double-double, showing efficiency from the field and energy on the glass. Portis will remain a valuable fantasy asset for as long as he remains in the starting lineup, and that could be the case again Saturday at Golden State. That will depend on Antetokounmpo's recovery, though.

Potis gets another look with the starting unit in the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo (illness), who will sit out Tuesday's affair. Portis should see a corresponding minutes increase as a result, though it's just temporary until Antetokounmpo is ready to rejoin the action.

The 28-year-old delivered 10 points (3-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds and one block in 21 minutes as a spot starter Sunday against Houston, but he'll shift back to the bench Tuesday with Giannis Antetokounmpo (quadriceps) rejoining the lineup. Portis has averaged 13.5 points, 9.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 24.8 minutes across his 33 appearances off the bench this season.

Portis racked up 10 points (3-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds and one block in 21 minutes during Sunday's 104-101 win over the Suns.

Portis got the start in place of the injured Giannis Antetokounmpo (quad), finishing as one of four Bucks in double figures while finishing four rebounds shy of a double-double. Portis has recorded 10 or more points with five or more rebounds in nine of his last 10 games.

Portis will start Sunday's matchup versus the Suns, Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

With Giannis Antetokounmpo (quad) out, Portis will slide into the starting lineup for the first time since Jan. 21. Across 14 appearances as a starter, Portis has averaged 16.7 points, 11.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 31.1 minutes and should play a prominent role versus Phoenix.

Portis notched 18 points (7-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 11 rebounds and one assist across 22 minutes during Friday's 128-99 win over the Heat.

Portis played just 22 minutes off the bench but still came through with the goods for fantasy managers. Despite being his first game back, he delivered plenty of energy and emotion, ending with his 30th double-double of the season. While he is likely to be eased back into things, the fact Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) only lasted six minutes could work in Portis's favor. Make sure he is not floating around on a waiver wire somewhere as a result of an impatient manager making an ill-informed decision.

Portis (knee) isn't on the injury report for Friday's game against the Heat.

Portis was expected to return to action Friday after participating fully in practice recently, and he's officially been cleared to suit up as the Bucks resume play following the All-Star break. It's possible he faces a minutes restriction against Miami, and the Bucks also acquired Jae Crowder recently, who should share some of the work in the frontcourt.

Portis (knee) logged a full practice Wednesday and should be expected to play in Friday's game against the Heat, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.

Portis missed the Bucks' final 11 games before the All-Star break with a sprained right knee but is slated to return to the hardwood for Friday's tilt. With Jae Crowder's addition, Portis may see less run at power forward and instead play more center. Regardless, Portis should remain the top option off the bench for Milwaukee, a role in which he has averaged 13.5 points and 9.7 rebounds across 24.9 minutes per game this season.

Portis (knee) will not play Thursday at Chicago, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.

Portis has been ramping up over the last few days, and he was able to go through parts of practice on Monday, but it never seemed all that realistic that he'd be back on the floor before the All-Star break. The Bucks will give Portis the extra week-plus to continue rehabbing before hopefully returning to action when they resume play on Friday, Feb. 24 against Miami.

He's been in the midst of one of the best years of his career, as he averaged 14.4 points, 10.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 26.5 minutes per game over his first 47 appearances of the season.

Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer said Portis (quadriceps) will play in Monday's game against the Pacers, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports.

Portis had been listed as probable heading into the day with a right quadriceps contusion, so he never appeared at risk of sitting out the Bucks' Martin Luther King, Jr. Day game. However, his appearance on the injury report to begin the Bucks' three-game week suggests that Portis may be a candidate to sit the second half of a back-to-back set Tuesday against the Raptors, though Budenholzer hasn't clarified his plans. At least for Monday's contest, Portis looks as though he'll be in line for a third consecutive start in the frontcourt while Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) remains sidelined.

Portis is listed as probable for Monday's game against the Pacers with a right quadriceps contusion.

The bruised quad is unlikely to keep Portis from playing Monday, but he'll presumably move back to the bench after he picked up his second straight start in Saturday's 111-95 loss to the Heat. He basically disappeared in the second half, however, adding just two more points on 1-of-2 shooting to go along with one rebound and one assist. Despite the lackluster performance over the final two quarters, Portis still managed to notch his seventh double-double in his last eight games and has also scored in double figures in eight straight.

Portis had 17 points (7-13 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 13 rebounds, four assists and two steals across 28 minutes during Tuesday's 123-113 victory over the Wizards.

Portis cruised to his fourth straight double-double by shooting the basketball well and by cleaning up on the defensive glass, where he secured 10 of his 13 boards. The Arkansas product continues to serve as an impact player for Milwaukee, primarily off the bench. He's averaging 15.3 points, 11.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in his last six games.

Portis had 19 points (6-16 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 6-6 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and one steal in 30 minutes during Sunday's 118-95 loss to the Wizards.

Portis moved into the starting lineup Sunday, compiling his third straight double-double. A top-70 player on the season, Portis continues to benefit whenever the Bucks are shorthanded, something that is becoming a regular occurrence in Milwaukee. If the team ever gets healthy, his value would likely take a hit but until then, managers should just keep rolling him out there with confidence.

Portis is in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Wizards.

Portis jumps into the starting lineup with Giannis Antetokounmpo ruled out due to a knee injury, but he shouldn't have issues adjusting to the role. He's averaging 16.5 points and 12.0 rebounds per game across eight starts this season, racking up six double-doubles in that span as well.

Portis scored a season-low four points Sunday against the Celtics, but he responded with a 20-point night in Wednesday's loss. He notched his seventh double-double of December by crashing the boards, and he also tied his top mark of the season with three made triples, a number he's hit two other times this year.

Portis closed Monday's 128-119 victory over New Orleans with four points (2-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), four rebounds and one assist in 22 minutes.

Portis had fallen below double digits in the scoring column just three times previously this season and hadn't scored fewer than seven points in a game, but Monday's effort bottomed out his typical floor. Even so, Portis remains a consistent member of the rotation, so it's better to consider this one a deviation from the norm. Portis checks in just outside the top 100 in per-game and per-36 fantasy points production and certainly would warrant a longer look should Giannis Antetokounmpo or Brook Lopez miss any extended time.

Portis supplied 22 points (9-16 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 14 rebounds and one assist across 30 minutes during Saturday's 123-97 win over the Jazz.

Portis got the start due to the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee), and he made the most of the opportunity. The veteran forward has looked impressive regardless of his role, as he's played both as a starter and off the bench, and should remain a valuable piece for the Bucks going forward. It wouldn't be shocking if he remains in the starting lineup when the Bucks take on the Pelicans on Monday, though that will depend almost entirely on whether Antetokoummpo recovers in time to play or not. Portis has 17 double-doubles on the season.

Portis is in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Jazz.

Portis will jump into the lineup with Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) sidelined. He's made seven starts this season and is averaging 15.7 points, 11.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game in that span.

Portis provided 25 points (11-15 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds and one block across 32 minutes during Tuesday's 128-111 victory over the Warriors.

Portis was locked in from the field in this one, knocking down 73.3 percent of his looks. He also secured his second straight double-double with the help of 11 rebounds, seven coming on the defensive end of the court. Portis continues to serve as a valuable piece of the puzzle for Milwaukee, averaging 16.0 points, 9.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists through six matchups in December.

Portis had 18 points (8-12 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and one block in 27 minutes during Monday's 109-102 win over the Magic.

Portis finished second on the Bucks in scoring and rebounding, tallying his fourth double-double over the last five games. Portis has scored 15 or more points with 10 or more rebounds on seven occasions this season. 

Portis ended with 20 points (9-18 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds and seven assists across 31 minutes during Saturday's 105-96 win over Charlotte.

Portis provided the spark early for the Bucks with 11 first-quarter points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field. He added another nine points in the second half to go along with four rebounds and three assists as Milwaukee managed to pull out the win on the road despite missing most of its starting lineup. It was Portis' third time reaching 20-point mark this season while he also recorded a season-high seven assists in the contest.

Portis will enter the starting five for Friday's game against the Hornets.

Portis is set to see a massive workload with Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee), Khris Middleton (conditioning), MarJon Beauchamp (illness) and Serge Ibaka (illness) sitting out, making him an incredibly appealing option in all fantasy formats. In five starts this season, Portis has averaged 14.4 points and 12.8 rebounds across 31.6 minutes.

Portis contributed 15 points (7-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt), 10 rebounds and two assists in 22 minutes during Friday's 133-129 loss to the Lakers.

Portis has now registered a double-double in each of his last three games, shooting 51.4 percent from the field over this brief stretch. The forward has come off the bench in six straight matchups, but he continues to log substantial minutes (25.5) as one of Milwaukee's most valuable bench players.

Portis provided 10 points (4-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 12 rebounds and three assists over 25 minutes during Wednesday's 109-103 victory over New York.

Portis came off the bench on Wednesday and wasted no time in establishing himself on the boards with five first-quarter rebounds, three of which came on the offensive end to help Milwaukee take the lead heading into the second period. The Bucks forward grabbed eight rebounds in the first half and another four over the final two quarters, to go along with 10 points on the night on 4-of-10 shooting from the field. Portis has now recorded a double-double in back-to-back games and has 12 of them on the season.

Portis posted 13 points (6-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt), five rebounds, four assists and one block over 24 minutes during Monday's 119-111 win over the Trail Blazers.

Portis once again led the Bucks bench while leading the second unit in scoring, rebounds and minutes played. Portis has reached double-figures in 14 of 15 games, averaging 13.7 points, 10.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists this year.

Portis will come off the bench Monday against the Trail Blazers.

Portis will shift to a bench role with Grayson Allen (ankle) gaining clearance to play. The veteran forward has performed well in both starting and bench roles so far this season, averaging 14.0 points, 11.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists over his last 10 contests (five starts).

Portis produced 21 points (9-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt), 11 rebounds, three assists and one steal in 34 minutes during Friday's 110-102 loss to the 76ers.

Portis has started four of Milwaukee's last five games and continues to display his value as an elite two-way threat. The veteran big man has notched four straight double-doubles and has also reached that mark in six of his last seven appearances regardless of his role. One of the best players for Milwaukee in the last three weeks, Portis is averaging 13.9 points, 11.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game across nine November appearances.

Portis recorded 10 points (4-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists and one steal in 30 minutes during Thursday's 113-98 win over the Cavaliers.

Portis had his third-straight double-double Wednesday and his ninth in 14 games this season. Portis is averaging 13.1 points, 10.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 26.6 minutes in 2022-23.

Portis is in the starting five for Wednesday's game versus the Cavaliers, Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Portis will start alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez to make a large starting lineup. Portis will likely move back to the bench when any of Khris Middleton (wrist), Grayson Allen (ankle) or Jrue Holiday (ankle) return.

Portis continues to be a valuable asset whether coming off the bench or starting, as he's posting per-game averages of 13.4 points, 10.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.2 three-pointers and 0.4 steals over 26.4 minutes.

Portis isn't in the starting lineup for Monday's game against Atlanta, Lauren L. Williams of MLive.com reports.

Portis has started three of Milwaukee's last four contests while the Bucks dealt with injuries to Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) and Grayson Allen (illness), but he'll come off the bench Monday with the first unit returning to health. In fact, the veteran big man has produced well even when coming off the bench, and he has seven double-doubles in 12 contests to date.

Portis is in the starting five for Wednesday's game versus the Thunder.

Portis finished with a team-high in minutes played off the bench while leading the Bucks in rebounds. The forward has notched a double-double in six games so far this season.

Portis will come off the bench in Monday's game against Atlanta.

Portis drew the start Saturday against Oklahoma City in the power forward spot with Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) ruled out, but he'll return to his usual bench role with Antetokounmpo back in action Monday evening. Portis is averaging 13.5 points, 10.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in eight games off the bench this season.

Portis posted 12 points (5-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt), 21 rebounds and two assists over 29 minutes during Saturday's 108-94 victory over the Thunder.

Portis started for the first time this season, and while he only cracked the starting unit due to the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee), he made the most of his minutes -- he posted a season-high mark in rebounds and also recorded his fourth straight game with 10 or more points. The veteran big man continues to produce regardless of his role, and he remains a solid fantasy asset in most formats.

Portis closed Friday's 115-102 win over Minnesota with 18 points (7-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds and five assists across 30 minutes.

Portis recorded four double-doubles across his first six contests, and while he hasn't been able to achieve that feat in each of the last two games, the veteran big man has ended just one point and/or no more than two rebounds short of reaching that mark in the other contests. One of the best two-way threats in the league, Portis has settled well into a bench role despite being a regular starter in 2021-22 and is averaging 13.5 points and 10.0 rebounds per game so far.

Portis contributed 10 points (5-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt), nine rebounds and three assists in 24 minutes during Wednesday's 116-91 victory over the Pistons.

Portis has been forced to settle into a bench role after being a starter for most of last season. but he's done a good job in that role. Even though he ended just one rebound away from posting a double-double, the veteran big man has recorded that feat in four of his first seven contests. While the bench role conspires against his upside, Portis should remain a valuable fantasy alternative in most formats even if he's not playing as many minutes as he was last season.

Portis amassed 15 points (6-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-3 FT), 12 rebounds and two assists in 28 minutes during Monday's 110-108 win over Detroit.

Portis notched his fourth double-double of the season, continuing what has been a decent start. Despite the strong play of Brook Lopez, Portis has still been able to carve out a meaningful role off the bench, putting up top-75 value in the process. The return of Khris Middleton is likely to impact his playing time, making this a potential sell-high opportunity.

Portis logged 20 points (8-14 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 11 rebounds, two blocks and two steals in 26 minutes during Wednesday's 110-99 win over the Nets.

Portis scored 16 points in the first half in 14 minutes. He took only three shots in the second half but pulled down five boards and added a blocked shot. It was his best performance of the season and his 26 minutes played were his most of the year. He's off to a strong start, averaging 14.7 points and 9.7 rebounds while making 55.9 percent of his shots and 45.5 percent of his tries from beyond the arc.

Portis racked up 11 points (5-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt) and 10 rebounds across 23 minutes during Thursday's 90-88 win over Philadelphia.

Portis did most of his damage in the third quarter, scoring nine points and grabbing six boards in seven minutes while making four of his six shot attempts. The 27-year-old started 59 contests for the Bucks last season while Brook Lopez was out with a back injury but it looks like he'll return to a reserve role for Milwaukee this year. He's a career 38.3 percent shooter from three-point range and is capable of providing significant offensive value off the bench, as he did in the third quarter Thursday.

Portis will come off the bench in the Bucks' season opener against the 76ers, Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Portis started in 59 of the Bucks' regular season games last year mostly due to Brook Lopez's long-term injury. This season, the 27-year-old will begin Milwaukee's opening game of the season on the bench as Brook Lopez will start. Expect Portis to still see plenty of action against Philadephia.

Portis closed with 15 points (7-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt) and five rebounds in 20 minutes during Saturday's 118-109 loss to the Hawks.

Portis did his thing on the offensive end as the Bucks opted to go with a different look. While he is slated to come off the bench behind Brook Lopez, Portis still has the ability to put up fantasy-worthy numbers even in limited minutes. His value is tied to points and rebounds which does cap his overall upside. With that being said, he remains an option for managers in need of a cheap center late in drafts.

Portis and the Bucks agreed to terms Thursday on a four-year, $49 million contract, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

After taking a discount to stick with the Bucks this past season, Portis will cash in and get a longer-term commitment from one of the best teams in the East. The 2015 first-round pick has developed into a fan-favorite, and he's coming off of the best statistical season of his career. Filling in for Brook Lopez for much of the regular season, Portis averaged 14.6 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.7 blocks per game while shooting 39.3 percent from three -- down from a league-best 47.1 percent in 2020-21.

Portis declined his $4.6 million player option Wednesday and became a free agent, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Portis saw a significant increase in role last season with Milwaukee as Brook Lopez missed much of the season. In 28.2 minutes per game, Portis averaged 14.6 points, 9.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists. It would be surprising if he didn't have other suitors, but there's been no indication that either he or the Bucks wants to end his tenure. According to Bobby Marks of ESPN.com, the maximum that Portis can sign for with Milwaukee is four years, $49 million.

Portis amassed 14 points (4-14 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 6-6 FT), 15 rebounds, two assists and one steal over 28 minutes during Wednesday's 110-107 win over Boston.

While no Boston player collected more than eight rebounds, Portis had seven offensive rebounds alone. Portis was the catalyst in Milwaukee winning the rebounding battle and second-chance points were the difference in the game. Portis saw a reduced role in Game 4, but he returned to a healthy workload Wednesday and can be expected to on Friday as well.

Portis will come off the bench for Saturday's Game 3 against the Celtics, Gary Washburn of The Boston Globe reports.

Coach Mike Budenholzer will switch things up in Game 3 with the series tied 1-1, going with Grayson Allen in the starting lineup over Portis, who has been in the lineup since Khris Middleton (knee) got injured. Portis still figures to have a significant role, and it would be relatively surprising if he saw fewer than 20 minutes. In the playoffs, he's averaged 12.3 points and 10.9 rebounds in 25.3 minutes.

Portis finished with 13 points (5-7 FG, 3-3 FT) and eight rebounds in a 109-86 loss to Boston on Tuesday.

Portis has reached double-digit points in each of his last five games including six of his last seven. The veteran center is up to 14.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game on 60.7 percent shooting from the field through the first two games of the series.

Portis finished Sunday's 101-89 win over the Celtics with 15 points (6-12 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist and one steal over 32 minutes.

Portis has registered a double-double in four straight games and five times over the Bucks' six playoff contests so far. The Bucks will likely continue to start Portis as long as Khris Middleton (knee) remains sidelined, so it doesn't appear like the seventh-year forward's production will be limited any time soon.

Portis totaled 14 points (6-13 FG, 2-7 3Pt), 17 rebounds and one assist across 32 minutes during Wednesday's 116-100 win over the Bulls.

Portis was a menace on the glass Wednesday, logging a season-high 17 rebounds. A third-straight double-double for Portis, he's outperformed Brook Lopez in recent nights. The reintroducing of Lopez to Milwaukee's rotation threw off Portis' production, but it seems a rebalancing has begun taking hold. Portis could be heavily utilized in a switch-oriented, second-round matchup against Boston.

Portis totaled 18 points (7-14 FG, 4-8 3Pt) and 16 rebounds across 25 minutes during Friday's 111-81 win over the Bulls.

Portis started at small forward with Khris Middleton (knee) out, and he provided size and strength on both ends of the court. He's capable of playing in either position of the frontcourt and poses a huge mismatch on offense, something he took advantage of by pouring 18 points. The 18-point output was his best offensive showing since April 1 when he scored 25 points against the Lakers, a game that also happened to be his previous start.

Portis will start at small forward in Friday's Game 3 against the Bulls.

With Khris Middleton (knee) sidelined, the Bucks will opt to go big by starting Portis at small forward alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez in the frontcourt. He is expected to be wearing goggles due to an eye injury that knocked him out of Game 2.

Portis (eye) isn't on the injury report for Friday's Game 3 against Chicago.

Portis exited Wednesday's loss to Chicago in the first quarter due to a right eye abrasion but should be back in the lineup for Game 3. The 27-year-old averaged 6.0 points and 7.0 rebounds in 14.5 minutes per game in his first two postseason appearances this year.

Portis left Wednesday's 114-110 loss to Chicago after the first quarter and was subsequently diagnosed with a right eye abrasion. He contributed two points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and two rebounds in six minutes.

Portis' early departure was one of two injury blows suffered by the Bucks in the contest; the other was Khris Middleton's exit in the fourth quarter due to a right MCL sprain. Per Scott Grodsky of CBS 58, coach Mike Budenholzer is optimistic about Portis' status moving forward, stating after the game that "he should be good." Portis could be called upon to fill some of the void in the likely scenario that Middleton is forced to miss time with his injury.

Portis (calf) says he'll play in Wednesday's Game 3 against the Bulls, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.

Portis said, "no little injury like that is going to stop me from hooping. Never." The backup big man posted 10 points (3-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block across 23 minutes during Sunday's 93-86 Game 1 victory. He figures to garner a similar role in Game 2.

Portis is probable for Wednesday's Game 2 against the Bulls due to a bruised right calf.

Portis shouldn't have any issues playing through the injury. During Sunday's 93-86 Game 1 victory, he posted 10 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 23 minutes.

Portis came off the bench and helped push Milwaukee to a victory after blowing a double-digit lead early on. As long as he's healthy, the big man will continue to serve as the Bucks' first big man off the bench behind Brook Lopez and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Veteran Serge Ibaka, who Milwaukee picked up at the deadline, was essentially dropped from the rotation when Lopez returned from back surgery in mid-March.

Portis (shoulder) will not play in Sunday's regular season finale against Cleveland, Evan Dammarell of Locked On Cavs reports.

This amounts to a rest day for Portis, as the Bucks are apparently very much amenable to the prospects of falling to the No. 3 spot in the Eastern Conference. Expect Portis to return to action when the Bucks begin Round 1 play next weekend.

Portis is unlikely to play Sunday against the Cavaliers due to left shoulder soreness.

Portis and many of the other Bucks' key players aren't expected to see the floor during the regular-season finale. Fantasy managers should expect a rotation of bench options and young players.

Portis was efficient from the field en route to his fourth straight game in double figures. During that stretch, the seventh-year big man has averaged 18.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 25.5 minutes per game.

Portis accumulated 17 points (7-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt), eight rebounds and one steal over 23 minutes during Sunday's 118-112 loss to the Mavericks.

Although the return of Brook Lopez was expected to curb Portis' production, we've actually seen both players together on the floor recently, especially when Giannis Antetokounmpo takes a break. The result is a pretty imposing frontcourt for opponents, and even though Portis only registered 23 points, one should expect productive nights from him in the playoffs, where he shined with clutch play last season.

Portis will come off the bench Sunday against the Mavericks.

Portis put up 25 points in a spot start Friday with Milwaukee resting its entire lineup, and Brook Lopez will reclaim the starting spot at center Sunday. Portis averaged 7.2 points and 9.2 rebounds in 23.2 minutes in the five games prior to Friday's 25-point effort.

Portis ended Friday's 153-119 loss to the Clippers with 25 points (12-20 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and one steal in 26 minutes.

The Bucks rested most of their regulars and that allowed Portis the chance to see an extended run -- an opportunity the big man didn't disappoint. He moved to a bench role with Brook Lopez taking over the starting job at center over the last two weeks or so, but Portis can still get it done when called upon. For what it's worth, he has averaged 15.5 points and 9.3 rebounds per game as a starter this season.

Portis is starting at center for Friday's matchup with the Clippers, Mirjam Swanson of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

The Bucks are resting their regular starters on the second night of a back-to-back set. As a result, Portis figures to see heavy minutes and plenty of involvement on offense.

Portis registered 11 points (5-11 FG, 1-1 3Pt), 12 rebounds and one assist in 29 minutes during Thursday's 114-102 victory over the Wizards.

Portis moved back into the starting lineup, replacing Giannis Antetokounmpo who was out with a knee injury. The return of Brook Lopez has seemingly put a pin in what had been a breakout season for Portis. Antetokounmpo's injury likely had an element of rest associated with it, meaning Portis could return to the bench as soon as Saturday against the Grizzlies. He can still provide limited value off the bench but given what we have seen the past few games, he is really just a streamer in competitive leagues.

Portis will start Thursday against the Wizards.

Portis has started in all but six games this season for the Bucks. With Brook Lopez retaking his starting role, Portis will take over Giannis Antetokounmpo's spot in the starting lineup against Washington. Expect Portis to see a large workload Thursday with Khris Middleton (wrist) and Antetokounmpo (knee) both out.

In the meantime, Portis' workload and usage may take a dip, but he'll still be a key piece of the Bucks' gameplan moving forward.

Portis was efficient on offense and aside from posting his first double-double of the month -- in four games -- he showed he can still produce on offense despite holding a secondary role in the Bucks' offensive scheme. Portis has scored in double digits in six of his last seven games, and he's averaging 17.3 points with 9.0 rebounds per game in that span.

Portis supplied 15 points (6-12 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals across 32 minutes during Wednesday's 120-119 victory over the Heat.

Although the Bucks have brought in some interior support, it's doubtful that they'll do much to curb Portis' output. Although his rebound numbers regressed slightly, he's regularly seeing more than 30 minutes per game and will remain a solid fantasy candidate.

Portis totaled 20 points (7-14 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and 10 rebounds over 23 minutes during Monday's 130-106 win over the Hornets.

Portis rattled off his second consecutive double-double Monday and his fourth double-double over the past five games. Although the recent acquisition of Serge Ibaka is a help to Milwaukee's interior, Portis appears to have a solid foothold with the first unit and will continue to put up respectable numbers at the five.

Portis has seemingly fallen back to Earth following a three-game stretch in which he put up 30, 24 and 23 points, as he's since tallied 11 and 17 points in his last two contests. Both Portis and new addition, Serge Ibaka, shouldered similar workloads Monday evening, but once Giannis Antetokounmpo (ankle) returns to action, Portis should continue to have control of the starting center spot.

Portis' production at the five has been a saving grace for Milwaukee. With Brook Lopez (back) out until late March, Portis has made the most of his opportunity after dazzling as a support player during Milwaukee's playoff run last season.

The veteran notched his first 30-point effort of the season and tied a campaign high with six three-pointers. For good measure, Portis dished a season-high five dimes in the blowout win.

Considering how good he's been this season, the fact that Portis scored around the 15-point mark while also hovering close to a double-double shouldn't be surprising. However, the big man has been making an impact from deep and has now drained at least one trey in each of his last 10 games -- an impressive streak for a center. He's shooting just 30.4 percent from deep in that span, though, so he can't be trusted in terms of efficiency.

Portis logged 22 points (10-15 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one block over 32 minutes during Wednesday's 115-99 loss to Cleveland.

Portis entered Wednesday in a 7-for-24 slump across two games prior. This can also be extrapolated to a poor 7-for-26 showing from beyond the arc over his past six games. Nonetheless, he's still connecting on 41.4 percent of his 4.5 attempts per game. For the season, Portis is averaging 15.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game, with a fringe top-50 player efficiency rating of 18.39

Portis registered 11 points (4-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT), 11 rebounds and three blocks in 34 minutes during Saturday's 103-96 loss to Toronto.

Portis has been a valuable piece of Milwaukee's starting five, but Jrue Holiday's )ankle) extended absence is allowing the veteran to display his versatility and floor-stretching ability. Although he sometimes has trouble matching a good rebounding total with a solid shooting night, both categories were in sync despite the narrow loss.

Portis posted 20 points (8-16 FG, 4-7 3Pt), seven rebounds, one block and one steal across 25 minutes during Thursday's 118-99 win over Golden State.

Portis' biggest highlight of the game came when he drained a three at the half-time buzzer, but the big man had another impressive performance on both ends of the court and once again left his mark on offense. Quickly emerging as Milwaukee's third-best scoring option when Jrue Holiday (ankle) is not available, Portis is averaging 15.2 points, 9.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game over his last 10 appearances.

Portis logged 25 points (9-16 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-5 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists and one block across 32 minutes during Friday's 121-109 win over the Nets.

Portis made his sixth consecutive start in Friday's victory, and he posted his second-highest scoring total of the season while shooting 56.3 percent from the floor. Since reclaiming his starting role, the 26-year-old has averaged 15.3 points and 9.0 rebounds in 26.7 minutes per game.

Portis tallied 19 points (7-9 FG, 5-5 3Pt), seven rebounds, one assist and one block across 29 minutes Tuesday in the Bucks' 127-110 win over the Magic.

The Bucks eased Portis back into the mix in a bench role in the Christmas Day win over the Celtics as he returned from a four-game absence due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols, but he moved back to the top unit for the start of Milwaukee's three-game week. Rather than doing most of his damage in the paint, Portis lit the Magic up from beyond the arc, falling one three-pointer short of matching a season high. After converting at a 47.1 percent clip from three-point range in his first season in Milwaukee, Portis hasn't taken much of a step back in 2021-22, hitting 42.9 percent of those attempts.

Portis will start Wednesday's game against the Magic.

Portis came off the bench in his return from the COVID-19 protocols Saturday and will now reclaim his spot in Milwaukee's starting five. The 26-year-old had 16 points (6-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds and four assists over 22 minutes in that contest and should continue ramping back up to his full workload.

The Arkansas product made a bold decision this offseason to return to Milwaukee on a cheaper deal, however, the move seems to be working out beautifully for both sides. Portis is averaging 15.6 points and 9.1 rebounds per game this season -- both would set new career-highs for the 26-year-old.

Portis has scored in double digits in each of his 18 starts this season, but this was just the fourth time in which he reached the 20-point plateau in that span. Portis has performed well as a starter in absence of Brook Lopez (back) and has given the Bucks a reliable scoring threat near the rim while also complementing Giannis Antetokounmpo on defense. Portis is averaging 16.7 points and 9.7 rebounds per game since entering the starting five.

Portis totaled 10 points (4-12 FG, 2-7 3Pt), 16 rebounds, three assists and one block over 31 minutes during Monday's 112-104 victory over Cleveland.

Portis didn't have a good shooting performance, but he made up for that with another strong rebounding effort that resulted in his third straight double-double. Portis moved into the starting lineup due to Brook Lopez's back injury but has thrived in that new role, posting nine double-doubles across 16 starts and averaging 16.3 points and 10.0 rebounds per contest in that span.

Ultimately, Portis is a valuable contributor to the Bucks in any role and has scored double-digit points in 14 straight games.

Portis has been thriving as a starter in recent weeks and has four straight double-doubles while reaching that feat in six of his last 10 starts. He's also scored in double digits in each one of those games while putting up at least 15 points in four of his last five appearances.

Portis chipped in 24 points (8-11 FG, 6-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 15 rebounds and one block across 34 minutes during Saturday's 117-108 win over Orlando.

Another game, another Portis double-double. The veteran big man has been one of Milwaukee's most pleasant surprises this season and has looked impressive as a starter while Brook Lopez (back) is out. He has four double-doubles in eight starts while shooting an impressive 51.4 percent from the field and 47.6 percent from deep in that span.

Portis recorded 17 points (5-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 13 rebounds, one assist and two steals in 31 minutes during Friday's 96-89 win over Oklahoma City.

Portis has started each of Milwaukee's last seven games and has looked impressive in that role, scoring in double digits each time and recording three double-doubles as well. In fact, he has scored 15 or more points in five of his last six games and the 13-rebound output tied his season-high mark. If he was already a strong fantasy asset when coming off the bench, he should be even better now that he's starting on a regular basis.

Portis put up a team-high 22 points (10-15 FG, 1-4 3PT, 1-2 FT), six rebounds and two assists in Friday's 122-113 overtime loss to the Celtics.

With the Bucks dealing with several injuries, Portis continued his recent hot stretch. He is averaging 17.8 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks across 32.8 minutes in his previous four games. While these numbers are encouraging, they figure to regress once Khris Middleton (COVID-19), Giannis Antetokounmpo (ankle) and Brook Lopez (back) return to the starting lineup. Still, the fan favorite will continue to have a role as spark plug off the bench once that happens.

Portis supplied 19 points (6-14 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and a steal over 35 minutes in a 118-109 win over the 76ers on Tuesday.

Portis logged his second consecutive double-double, with four of his rebounds being offensive to boot. Tuesday marked his first game this season knocking down multiple threes. He shot a blistering 47.1 percent from three last season on 2.4 attempts per game, but has only connected on 31.8 through 3.7 attempts thus far. He is an energizer for Milwaukee, but will revert to being a fringe fantasy asset when the Bucks return to health.

Portis recorded 13 points (6-17 FG, 1-3 3Pt), 13 rebounds, four steals, two assists and two blocks across 31 minutes in Sunday's loss to the Wizards.

Portis started for the first time this season and didn't disappoint, as he recorded his first double-double of the campaign while also scoring in double digits for the third time over his last four contests. The big man might very well remain in the starting lineup until Brook Lopez (back) is ready to return.

Portis will start Sunday's game against the Wizards.

It will be the first start of the season for Portis, who gets the nod over Thanasis Antetokounmpo as the Bucks continue to play without Brook Lopez (back). Portis missed time to begin the season, but he's averaged 11.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 21.7 minutes off the bench over his last three appearances.

Portis was back in the lineup after missing the previous game as part of his ongoing injury management. Despite playing just 19 minutes, he made the most of his time on the floor, hoisting up 15 shot attempts, second only to Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Bucks are without a number of key pieces right now and so if Portis can continue to ramp up over the next few games, he could have a shot at putting up backend 12-team value.

The former Arkansas standout carved out a key role off the bench in 2020-21, averaging 11.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 0.8 steals while hitting a career-high (by far) 47.1 percent of his three-point attempts (2.4 3PA/G). During the playoffs, Portis emerged as a fan favorite in Milwaukee, and he came up big in Game 6 of the Finals, putting up 16 points (6-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and three rebounds in 23 minutes off the bench.

Portis declined his player option Saturday, making him an free agent, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Portis found a role in Milwaukee where he could succeed, and he became one of the more effective sixth men in the NBA. In 20.8 minutes per game, he averaged 11.4 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists. He also shot 52.3 percent from the field and made 1.1 threes per game at a deadly 47.1 percent. After demonstrating he could be effective in the postseason as well, Portis figures to have a fair amount of suitors in free agency. He may land a starting job.

Portis will come off the bench for Tuesday's Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Suns, Mark Stein of The New York Times reports.

With Brook Lopez failing to have an impact, Portis found himself thrust into a meaningful role, coming away with his best performance in quite some time. We know what he can do in limited minutes and so there is reason to think he could be a factor in this series, especially if Lopez is negated by the athleticism of the Hawks frontcourt.

Portis closed with 11 points (5-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt) and nine rebounds in 17 minutes during Thursday's 113-84 victory over the Heat.

Portis stepped up for the Bucks, helping guide them to another blowout victory in Game 3 against the Heat. The Bucks' depth has been an issue in the past but based on what we have seen thus far, their second unit appears far stronger than in previous seasons. Along with P.J. Tucker, they provide adequate backup for when Giannis Antetokounmpo is off the court, providing him with much-needed rest down the stretch.

Portis is unavailable for Sunday's game against the Bulls due to patellar tendinitis.

Barring the streaming opportunities, Portis is not a player to prioritize in standard formats.

Portis saw 22 minutes of action against the Hawks two nights earlier, so it's unclear what led to the decision to keep him on such a short leash Saturday night. Chances are, it was simply a matchup-based decision by coach Mike Budenholzer, so Portis will likely return to his regular role of 17-to-25 minutes off the bench on most nights.

Portis will start Wednesday's game against Minnesota.

The sixth-year forward should continue providing solid production in points, rebounds and field-goal percentage until Antetokounmpo returns.

Despite the Bucks' recent losing streak, Portis has been playing well. Another double-digit performance Tuesday makes in four games in a row that Portis has scored at least 10 points. Next up for the Bucks on Thursday is a second game against the Raptors in Milwaukee.

That said, Portis has been a 12-team-worthy option thus far based on his numbers, as he's averaging 11.1 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 0.8 three-pointers, 0.8 steals and 0.4 blocks in 22.8 minutes per game while shooting 54 percent from the field and 75 percent from the free-throw line.

Despite not playing at all in the fourth quarter, Portis still led the Bucks in rebounds for the fourth time this season. In his first year with the Bucks, Portis is enjoying a bounce back type of season. He is averaging 10.6 points and 8.1 rebounds, both up from last year with the Knicks, while shooting a career-high from the floor.

Portis (knee) is available Wednesday against the Pistons, freelance reporter Kane Pitman reports.

As expected, Portis will see the court despite a bruised knee. Portis has been a strong contributor as a reserve frontcourt player for the Bucks this season, averaging 11.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 24.2 minutes.

It has been a strong start to the year for Portis, and he should remain a reliable presence on both ends of the court even if he keeps coming off the bench moving forward.

Portis will start in Friday's preseason game against the Pelicans, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.

With Giannis Antetokounmpo being held out of the preseason finale, Portis will get a chance to continue his nice preseason so far. The 25-year-old power forward has scored in double figures off the bench in the last two preseason games.

That might not translate into a steady fantasy role, but he is more than capable of putting up decent numbers from time to time when given enough time on the court.

Portis scored 14 points (7-15 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 0-2 FT), and added 13 rebounds and two assists in 20 minutes of Saturday's 112-102 preseason loss to Dallas.

Although Portis didn't get the start, he led the bench in minutes and played more than all but four of his teammates. The 25-year-old was also the game leader in rebounds. He'll likely earn more playing time if he can keep producing efforts like this.

Portis and the Bucks have come to terms on a contract, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Portis averaged 10.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.0 triples across 21.1 minutes in New York last season. He struggled to find consistent playing time due to the Knicks' crowded frontcourt. With the departures of Ersan Ilyasova and Robin Lopez, he should be able to find playing time right away in Milwuakee by providing depth in the frontcourt. He is a career 36.0 percent shooter from beyond the arc, and if he is able to improve on that he could be able to carve out an even bigger role with the team.

The Knicks declined Portis' team option for the 2020-21 season on Thursday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Along with Wayne Ellington, Portis co-led the bench in scoring in what was one of New York's best all-around performances of the season, as the Knicks ended the red-hot Rockets' winning streak at six. Portis' tendency to put up shots from the perimeter typically keeps his efficiency low relative to other big men around the league, but he's been running hot from the field of late. He's hit double figures in scoring five times in the last six games, shooting 55.2 percent over that stretch.

Portis will return to a reserve role for Saturday's game against the Bulls, Steve Popper of Newsday reports.

He is outside the top-200 this season and his lack of across the board production limits his value even when he is afforded substantial playing time.

Portis will be in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against Utah, Steve Popper of Newsday reports.
