Corey Kispert Injury News & Updates
Keep up with the latest injuries from the Cavaliers vs Wizards game on Friday with our National Basketball Association injury report.Nov 27, 2025
Suffers fractured thumb
Kispert suffered a fractured right thumb Tuesday and is expected to miss a few weeks of action, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert will not need surgery, and an injury such as this typically requires three weeks of recovery, Robbins added to his report. The Wizards are already without Tre Johnson (hip), and Robbins reports that players such as Cam Whitmore and Will Reily could potentially step into larger roles on the wings.
Nov 25, 2025
Won't return Tuesday
Kispert won't return to Tuesday's game against the Hawks due to a right thumb injury, Lauren L. Williams of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert got the starting nod and provided an immediate spark Tuesday, though he'll finish with 19 points (6-11 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 3-5 FT), three rebounds, three steals, one assist and one block across 24 minutes after leaving in the third quarter. Cam Whitmore and Justin Champagnie are candidates for a bump in minutes the rest of the way due to Kispert being sidelined. The 26-year-old swingman's next opportunity to play will come Friday against the Pacers.
Nov 25, 2025
Leaves for locker room
Kispert exited to the locker room in the third quarter of Tuesday's game against the Hawks due to an apparent right hand injury, Varun Shankar of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert checked out with 6:19 remaining in the third and immediately headed back to the locker room. If the 26-year-old swingman is unable to return, Cam Whitmore and Justin Champagnie are candidates to see increased minutes the rest of the way.
Nov 23, 2025
Thrives in spot start
Kispert finished Saturday's 121-120 loss to the Bulls with 20 points (7-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five rebounds, five assists and one steal over 37 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Kispert moved into the starting lineup, replacing Khris Middleton, who was out due to injury management. The move worked wonders for Kispert, scoring a season-high 20 points. While he does have the ability to score in bunches, his role is typically uneventful, making him nothing more than a stream consideration on nights like this.
Nov 22, 2025
Starting sans Middleton
Kispert will start Saturday's game against the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
With Khris Middleton (knee) sidelined, Kispert will get the starting nod for the first time this season. Over his last five appearances, the 26-year-old forward has averaged 5.8 points and 2.2 rebounds in 17.4 minutes per contest.
Nov 19, 2025
Muted role continues
Kispert ended Wednesday's 120-109 loss to the Timberwolves with zero points (0-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt), one rebound and one assist in 11 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Kispert failed to score for the second time this season, having now failed to top double digits in five straight appearances. Washington is looking to the future, of which Kispert may not be a sizeable part. At best, he should be viewed as a potential three-point streaming candidate, if and when those ahead of him in the rotation are missing time.
Nov 11, 2025
Quiet in overtime loss
Kispert closed Monday's 137-135 overtime loss to the Pistons with eight points (3-3 FG, 2-2 3Pt), three rebounds and two assists over 23 minutes.
ANALYSIS
In a game where Washington scored 135 points, Kispert was only able to contribute eight, as he only attempted three shots. Kispert's role backing up Khris Middleton has been constant, and he averages 8.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.2 steals, 0.2 blocks and 1.5 threes made on the season.
Nov 3, 2025
Drills three triples vs. New York
Kispert logged 15 points (5-6 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 202 FT) and four assists over 15 minutes during the Wizards' 119-102 loss to the Knicks on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Kispert led the Wizards' bench in scoring and finished tied with Kyshawn George and Bilal Coulibaly in points behind Alex Sarr (19). Kispert entered Monday's game having connected on just 28.0 percent of his three-point attempts on 4.2 3PA/G to open the season, but his efficiency during Monday's loss is an encouraging sign for the fifth-year pro. He connected on 39.1 percent of his three-point attempts across the three regular seasons prior to the 2025-26 campaign.
Oct 27, 2025
Scoreless in loss
Kispert missed his lone field goal attempt in Sunday's 139-113 loss to the Hornets, but recorded a steal and a rebound across 20 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Kispert was unable to score off the bench Sunday, which is concerning given three-point shooting is his primary role. While his role may have been reduced as a result of game script, with benches clearing in the fourth quarter, Kispert needs to produce more, and his next opportunity to do so would be Tuesday against the 76ers.
Oct 17, 2025
Notches 12 points
Kispert logged 12 points (5-13 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal across 23 minutes of Thursday's 119-98 preseason loss to Detroit.
ANALYSIS
Kispert underwent successful surgery on his left thumb back on March 18, but he's been a full go throughout the preseason. Kispert is projected to have a sizable role with the second unit in 2025-26, though you could argue that the Wizards may be more inclined to play their young wings as the season progresses.
Sep 24, 2025
Ready for training camp
Wizards general manager Will Dawkins said Wednesday that Kispert (thumb) will be ready for training camp, Chase Hughes of Monumental Sports Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert underwent successful surgery on his left thumb back on March 18, ending his 2024-25 campaign early. He finished the regular season with averages of 11.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 three-pointers and 1.7 assists in 26.3 minutes per game. Presumably, he'll open the season as the primary backup small forward behind Khris Middleton.
Mar 18, 2025
Out for season after thumb surgery
Kispert underwent successful surgery on his left thumb Tuesday and is expected to make a full recovery and be ready for the start of next season.
ANALYSIS
Kispert suffered the ligament tear in his left thumb Saturday in the loss to the Nuggets. The 25-year-old forward played in 61 games for the Wizards this season, averaging 11.6 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game, shooting 45.1 percent from the floor and 36.4 percent from beyond the arc.
Mar 17, 2025
Getting thumb examined
Kispert has travelled back to Washington to get his sprained left thumb examined by team doctors, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert suffered the injury during the Wizards' win over the Nuggets on Saturday. He was already ruled out for Monday's bout against Portland, and it appears the injury may be severe enough to warrant a multi-game absence. An update from the Wizards regarding Kispert's thumb should be announced once he's undergone further tests.
Mar 16, 2025
Ruled out for Monday
Kispert (thumb) has been ruled out for Monday's game against Portland.
ANALYSIS
Kispert sustained the left thumb sprain during Saturday's win over Denver, and there's no clear timetable for his return. Kyshawn George and Justin Champagnie will likely see a bump in playing time due to Kispert being sidelined.
Mar 15, 2025
Won't return Saturday
Kispert has been ruled out for the rest of Saturday's game against the Nuggets due to a left thumb sprain.
ANALYSIS
Kispert was replaced by Justin Champagnie at the 5:01 mark of the third quarter, and the former will not return after spraining his left thumb. Kispert will undergo further testing to determine the severity of the injury, but he is in jeopardy of being sidelined for Monday's game against Portland. He'll finish Saturday's game with four points (2-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist across 15 minutes. Bub Carrington should see an increase in minutes off the bench for the rest of Saturday's game due to Kispert's absence.
Mar 14, 2025
Productive in win
Kispert finished Thursday's 129-125 win over the Pistons with 14 points (4-7 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds and two assists over 28 minutes.
ANALYSIS
With Bilal Coulibaly (hamstring) likely done for the season, Kispert could pick up some steam going forward as a fantasy asset. His value has been mostly limited to deeper formats in recent games, as he holds averages of 11.0 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.6 three-pointers in 25.3 minutes over his last five outings.
Mar 11, 2025
Scores 13 off bench
Kispert tallied 13 points (5-12 FG, 3-8 3Pt), two assists, one rebound and one block in 22 minutes in Monday's 119-104 loss to the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Kispert scored in double figures for the second consecutive game, draining three three-pointers Monday. The 26-year-old has gotten consistent minutes off the bench all season, but could see more of an uptick in usage with several contributors banged up. In his last 15 games, Kispert is averaging 13.4 points and shooting an impressive 43.2 percent from beyond the arc.
Feb 27, 2025
Sharp from deep once again
Kispert logged 20 points (6-13 FG, 5-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one block across 26 minutes during Wednesday's 129-121 loss to the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Kispert might not be the flashiest player, but he's a reliable option for fantasy managers who need points and three-point statistics from a bench player. The former first-round pick out of Gonzaga is averaging 14.3 points per game while shooting 45.6 percent from three-point range since the beginning of February.
Feb 22, 2025
Drains four threes Friday
Kispert contributed 16 points (6-11 FG, 4-7 3Pt), two rebounds and two assists across 23 minutes during Friday's 104-101 loss to Milwaukee.
ANALYSIS
If there's one thing Kispert knows how to do, it's putting the ball in the basket, and the veteran forward once again posted a solid stat line Friday. Despite coming off the bench, Kispert has scored in double digits in each of his last seven appearances, averaging 16.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 3.3 three-pointers made over that stretch. He's also making 47.9 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc over that seven-game span.
Feb 12, 2025
Shines off bench in OT defeat
Kispert finished with 21 points (8-10 FG, 5-6 3Pt) and four rebounds over 27 minutes in Wednesday's 134-130 overtime loss to Indiana.
ANALYSIS
Kispert was red-hot off the Wizards bench in Wednesday's extended contest, leading all bench players in scoring and threes made while nearly shooting a perfect mark from the field in a losing effort. Kispert, who was one of two Washington players with five or more threes, matched a season high in shots made from deep while posting his fifth outing of the year with 20 or more points.
Feb 8, 2025
Another double-digit scoring output
Kispert contributed 13 points (6-13 FG, 1-7 3Pt), seven rebounds and five assists in 35 minutes during Saturday's 125-111 loss to the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Kispert continued to provide instant offense off Washington's bench Saturday, reaching double-digit scoring figures for the 10th time in his last 14 outings. However, the 25-year-old has averaged 11.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.7 threes in 27.2 minutes during this time, therefore his fantasy appeal remains strictly tied to points and triples in category-based leagues.
Feb 3, 2025
Racks up 25 points off bench
Kispert tallied 25 points (9-13 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one steal over 29 minutes during Monday's 124-114 win over the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Kispert did most of his damage in the first half with 21 of his 25 points coming over the first two quarters of Monday's win. He cooled off in the second half, but he finished the game with the seocnd-best point-differential (plus-20) and second-most points behind Justin Champagnie (plus-26) and Bilal Coulibaly (26), respectively. Kispert has scored in double digits in three of his last five games, and he'll look to carry that momentum into Wednesday's game against the Nets.
Jan 28, 2025
Solid scoring display
Kispert recorded 15 points (4-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT) and two rebounds in 30 minutes during Monday's 130-108 loss to the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Kispert's fantasy value is limited to what he can bring to the scoring column, but there's no question he's been putting up solid numbers in that department of late. The sharpshooting veteran has scored in double digits in five of his last seven outings, averaging 10.6 points and shooting 37 percent from the floor in that span.
Jan 22, 2025
Scores 15 points in loss Tuesday
Kispert racked up 15 points (5-11 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one steal over 31 minutes during Tuesday's 111-88 loss to the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Kispert remains a capable scorer off the bench for the Wizards, and it wouldn't be surprising if he generates some trade interest closer to the Feb. 6 deadline due to his ability to rack up points from a second-unit role. He's scored in double digits in seven of his last nine appearances, averaging 13.1 points per game and shooting 42.2 percent from three-point range in that span.
Jan 13, 2025
Hits for team-high 17 in loss
Kispert produced 17 points (6-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and one block across 24 minutes off the bench during Sunday's 136-95 loss to Oklahoma City.
ANALYSIS
Washington's starting five had a brutal shooting night against a tough Thunder defense, and Kispert wound up leading the team in scoring as the Wizards limped to a 33.7 percent performance from the floor and a 19.6 percent (9-for-46) showing from three-point range. Kispert posted a goose egg himself Friday in Chicago, but for the most part he's been a consistent threat off the bench since returning from an ankle injury in mid-December. Over the last 13 games, the fourth-year wing is averaging 12.8 points, 2.4 boards, 2.4 threes and 1.9 assists in 25.9 minutes a contest while shooting 42.5 percent from beyond the arc.
Jan 8, 2025
Stays hot with 23 more points
Kispert racked up 23 points (8-14 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five rebounds, five assists and one steal in 35 minutes during Wednesday's 109-103 loss to the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
After scoring a season-high 23 points in Tuesday's loss to the Rockets, Kispert stayed hot Wednesday and mirrored that scoring output. The 25-year-old former first-rounder has been a mainstay in Washington's rotation lately, and he's averaging 13.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.5 threes in 26.6 minutes while shooting 43.1 percent from downtown over his last 11 games. Kispert should continue providing a much-needed scoring punch off the bench for the Wizards amid the absences of Jordan Poole (hip) and Malcolm Brogdon (foot), but his fantasy value has been mostly limited to points and threes in 2024-25 thus far.
Jan 7, 2025
Leads Wizards in loss
Kispert closed with 23 points (7-10 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 4-5 FT), four rebounds and three assists across 33 minutes during Tuesday's 135-112 loss to the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Kispert finished the blowout loss with a season-high 23 points while coming off the bench. The 25-year-old put together a solid bounce-back performance following Sunday's loss to the Pelicans, during which he scored five points and shot only 0-for-7 from beyond the arc. The sharpshooter sank four of his five three-point attempts in the first half of Tuesday's contest, and he saw extended playing time in the matchup with Kyle Kuzma missing the second half due to a right calf contusion. Kispert could be in line for extended minutes in the second half of the club's back-to-back set against the 76ers on Wednesday, especially if Kuzma, Jordan Poole (hip) or Malcolm Brogdon (foot) are sidelined.
Dec 30, 2024
Pops for 16 points in loss
Kispert registered 16 points (6-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal over 23 minutes during Monday's 126-106 loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Kispert scored double-digits for the third straight game and the fifth time in the past six. Since returning from an ankle injury, Kispert has been a relatively consistent source of points off the bench, not unlike what he was able to do down the stretch last season. Although his role is somewhat unpredictable, he should remain relevant as long as his shot is falling.
Dec 20, 2024
Drills three treys in return
Kispert (ankle) tallied 13 points (5-8 FG, 3-5 3Pt), four rebounds, two assists and one block across 19 minutes Thursday in the Wizards' 123-114 win over the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Kispert made his return to action following a five-game absence due to a sprained left ankle. Even though the Wizards remained without Kyle Kuzma (rib), Kispert didn't fill his spot in the starting five but still made an impact off the bench in a sub-20-minute bench role. Kispert's playing time could pick up a bit as he becomes further removed from the injury, but he lacks a well-rounded fantasy profile and is best viewed as a streaming option for three-pointers.
Dec 19, 2024
Back in action
Kispert (ankle) is absent from the injury report ahead of Thursday's game against Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
Kispert missed five straight games with a sprained left ankle, but he logged a full practice Tuesday and has been cleared to retake the hardwood. Kispert is averaging 10.9 points and 3.4 rebounds across 27.6 minutes per game this season.
Dec 17, 2024
Practices Tuesday
Kispert (ankle) was able to go through Tuesday's practice, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The Wizards appear to be getting healthier. In addition to Kispert, Kyshawn George (ankle) and Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) were both able to practice Tuesday. If Kispert gets the green light to return Thursday against the Hornets, he could have limitations after missing the past five games.
Dec 14, 2024
Not playing vs. Boston
Kispert (ankle) is out for Sunday's game against the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Kispert will miss a fifth consecutive game with a sprained left ankle, and there's no clarity when the forward will be able to return to the hardwood. Carlton Carrington is expected to continue seeing more minutes with Kispert out, though Johnny Davis and Jared Butler could also see more minutes. His next chance to play will come against the Hornets on Thursday.
Dec 12, 2024
Ruled out for Friday
Kispert (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's game against Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
Kispert is set to miss his fourth consecutive game Friday due to a sprained left ankle. With the 25-year-old sidelined, Carlton Carrington, Jared Butler and Johnny Davis should be in line for a slight uptick in minutes. Kispert's next chance to feature will come Sunday against Boston.
Dec 8, 2024
Missing third straight game
Kispert (ankle) is listed out for Sunday's game against the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
One of eight players ruled out by the Wizards, Kispert will be in street clothes for the third game in a row while he tends to a left ankle sprain. With fellow wings Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring), Kyshawn George (ankle), Saddiq Bey (knee) and Kyle Kuzma (rib) among the players sitting out Sunday, more minutes should be available for Carlton Carrington, Justin Champagnie and Jared Butler.
Dec 6, 2024
Out for Saturday
Kispert (ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday's matchup against the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Kispert will miss his second consecutive game due to a left ankle sprain, his next chance to suit up will come in Sunday's outing against Memphis. The 25-year-old will join Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) and Kyshawn George (ankle) on the sideline, meaning Carlton Carrington, Johnny Davis and Jared Butler as candidates for more playing time Saturday.
Dec 4, 2024
Will not play Thursday
Kispert (ankle) will be unavailable Thursday versus Dallas.
ANALYSIS
Kispet joins Kyshawn George (ankle) and Kyle Kuzma (ribs) as early inactives for Thursday's contest. Kispert is amid his worst shooting season as a pro, connecting on just 31.3 percent of 5.9 threes per game.
Dec 3, 2024
Won't return against Cleveland
Kispert is out for the remainder of Tuesday's game versus the Cavaliers due to a sprained left ankle.
ANALYSIS
Kispert tallied four points (1-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one block in nine minutes before exiting Tuesday's contest. Johnny Davis is a candidate to receive increased playing time in his absence. Kispert's next chance to suit up is Thursday's matchup with Dallas.
Dec 3, 2024
Leaves for locker room Tuesday
Kispert went back to the locker room in the second quarter of Tuesday's game against Cleveland due to an apparent left ankle injury, Varun Shankar of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert appeared to roll his left ankle while driving to the basket and limped back to the locker room. With Kispert and Kyshawn George (ankle) both heading to the locker room in the second quarter, Carlton Carrington, Johnny Davis and Marvin Bagley are candidates to see a slight uptick in playing time.
Nov 24, 2024
Leads from deep off bench in loss
Kispert finished Sunday's 115-103 loss to the Pacers with 15 points (6-14 FG, 3-11 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and one steal over 36 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Kispert shined off the bench in Sunday's contest, leading all bench players in scoring while connecting on a team-high mark from three. Kispert concluded as one of five Wizards to record 15 or more points and has now reached that mark in six contests so far this year.
Nov 23, 2024
Limited role continues
Kispert ended Friday's 108-96 loss to Boston with six points (2-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT), three rebounds and two assists over 17 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Kispert continues to see his playing time ebb and flow depending on whether his shot is falling. On a team with very little to play for, Kispert is in the unfortunate situation of being on the outside looking in when it comes to guaranteed minutes. Barring a couple of injuries to other players, Kispert will likely remain a streaky scoring option off the bench.
Nov 12, 2024
Records three steals
Kispert contributed 12 points (5-12 FG, 2-7 3Pt), one rebound, one assist and three steals over 34 minutes during Monday's 107-92 loss to the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Kispert recorded a season-high mark of three steals in the loss. Despite the return of Kyle Kuzma, Kispert still saw a healthy workload for the Wizards which is a good sign for his fantasy value going forward. The bad news is that he's still ice cold from beyond the arc, as he's hitting 25.0 percent of his attempts through nine appearances.
Nov 5, 2024
Modest production in large role
Kispert ended with four points (2-7 FG, 0-4 3Pt), five rebounds, one assist and one block across 29 minutes during Monday's 125-112 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
After averaging 15.7 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 32.3 minutes over a three-game stretch, Kispert has totaled eight points (3-17 FG), eight rebounds and two assists in 60 minutes over his past two games. With Kyle Kuzma (groin) sidelined, there are more opportunities for Kispert, but Washington's youngsters -- Carlton Carrington, Bilal Coulibaly, Kyshawn George and Alex Sarr -- have stolen the show recently.
Oct 29, 2024
Stands out off bench Monday
Kispert supplied 21 points (7-15 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one steal across 34 minutes during Monday's 121-119 win over the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Kispert was one of the Wizards' best players Monday despite coming off the bench, and he's emerging as more than just a reliable three-point shooter with an expanded role in the second unit. Kispert has scored in double digits in his last two games, and he could have a bigger role in the short-term picture in case Kyle Kuzma (groin) is forced to miss some time.
Oct 22, 2024
Available to play
Kispert (back) will be available to play in Thursday's game against the Celtics, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert missed Friday's preseason finale against the Knicks due to lower back stiffness, though it was likely a precaution. Fresh off a four-year, $54 million extension, Kispert is expected to be a key contributor for the Wizards during the 2024-25 season.
Oct 21, 2024
Inks four-year extension
Kispert (back) and the Wizards agreed to a four-year, $54 million extension Monday, NBA writer Marc Stein reports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert has shown improvements in each of his first three seasons in the NBA and is now under a very team-friendly deal for the foreseeable future. He has been a part-time starter to begin his career and is competing with second-year wing Bilal Coulibaly for a starting spot in Washington's backcourt this season. Kispert dealt with minor back stiffness to end the preseason, but he's expected to be fine for the regular season.
Oct 18, 2024
Dealing with back stiffness
Kispert won't play in Friday's preseason finale against the Knicks due to lower back stiffness, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert is competing for the starting shooting guard spot with Bilal Coulibaly (finger), who's also sidelined. Both players will need to be monitored ahead of next Thursday's regular-season opener against the Celtics.
Oct 15, 2024
Shooting woes surface Monday
Kispert finished with nine points (3-10 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and a block across 26 minutes in Monday's 131-92 preseason loss to the Nets.
ANALYSIS
The Wizards struggled on offense Monday and Kispert couldn't escape those woes, and he didn't do much in other categories to deliver even some kind of fantasy upside. Kispert is slated to open the 2024-25 regular season as the backup shooting guard behind Bilal Coulibaly, though he could receive a few spot starts from time to time.
Oct 14, 2024
Receives start Monday
Kispert will enter the starting lineup in Monday's preseason game against the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Kyshawn George will slide back to the bench as the Wizards try out Kispert in the starting five. The 25-year-old will likely serve as the primary backup to Bilal Coulibaly (finger) at shooting guard this season, though it would not be a surprise if he enters the starting lineup if injury concerns arise.
Oct 10, 2024
Scores team-high 14 points in loss
Kispert produced 14 points (5-9 FG, 2-5 3PT, 2-2 FT), two assists and one rebound in 20 minutes during Wednesday's preseason loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Kispert remained on the bench with Bilal Coulibaly maintaining his spot in the starting lineup. Despite the bench role, Kispert led the Wizards with 14 points, providing a scoring punch in the second unit, much like he did last season. Although his upside is limited, Kispert is a player to monitor in standard formats, particularly as a streaming consideration for both points and threes.
Oct 7, 2024
Operates off bench in opener
Kispert produced five points (1-3 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound and one assist in 19 minutes during Sunday's 125-98 preseason loss to the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
With Malcolm Brogdon (hand) unavailable, Bilal Coulibaly started at shooting guard over Kispert, who's made 103 career starts in three seasons. Washington is expected to be at the bottom of the standings again, so it wouldn't be surprising if Coulibaly continued to see developmental minutes over Kispert once the regular season begins.
Apr 10, 2024
Goes for 25 points Tuesday
Kispert posted 25 points (9-17 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and five assists over 36 minutes during Tuesday's 130-121 loss to Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Kispert earned a regular starting role on March 10 and never looked back, establishing himself as a reliable scoring alternative on a rebuilding Wizards team. Kispert has scored in double digits in each of his last 12 contests, a span in which he's averaging 18.4 points per game while shooting an impressive 43.2 percent from three-point range. He should have decent fantasy upside in Washington's final two games of the campaign, as he's also averaging 13.3 shots per game in that 12-game stretch.
Apr 3, 2024
Season-high 27 points vs. Bucks
Kispert posted 27 points (10-18 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds, one block and one steal in 38 minutes during Tuesday's 117-113 win over Milwaukee.
ANALYSIS
Kispert's 27 points Tuesday marked a season high for the third-year forward, and he extended his streak of double-digit scoring to eight games. Over his last 10 games, Kispert has averaged 16.6 points on 49.6 percent shooting (including 39.4 percent from three on 7.1 3PA/G), 3.9 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 steals over 35.1 minutes per game.
Mar 26, 2024
First career double-double
Kispert posted 19 points (6-18 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 12 rebounds, three assists and two steals in 39 minutes during Monday's 107-105 win over the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
The 12 boards were a career high for Kispert as he pulled down his first career double-double. The third-year forward was making his ninth straight start, and he's averaged 15.9 points, 3.4 boards, 3.2 threes, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals over that stretch while shooting 50.5 percent from the floor and 46.8 percent from beyond the arc. The 15th overall pick in the 2021 Draft is having a bit of a breakout for a Wizards team headed back to the lottery, but it's not clear where Kispert fits in the team's long-term plans with Kyle Kuzma (shoulder) and Deni Avdija (illness) also on the roster.
Mar 17, 2024
Keeps clipping
Kispert ended Saturday's 127-98 loss to Chicago with 16 points (6-12 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, one assist, three blocks and three steals in 29 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Kispert is pouring in 17.8 points through his last four contests, fueled by burying 4.0 threes per game at a 53.3 percent clip. Kispert has been a bonafide fantasy asset when receiving a starter's workload this season, averaging 20.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.7 assists across 10 contests in which he's received at least 30 minutes of action.
Mar 16, 2024
Back with starters
Kispert will start Saturday's game against the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
The Wizards initially pulled Kispert out of the lineup with Tyus Jones (back) sitting, putting Jordan Poole and Richaun Holmes in the starting five. However, Deni Avdija (knee) was a late scratch, so Kispert is right back in the lineup.
Mar 16, 2024
Moves to bench
Kispert will come off the bench for Saturday's game against the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
The Wizards are shaking things up with Tyus Jones (back) sitting out. Jordan Poole will enter the starting lineup, along with Richaun Holmes. Despite this move, Kispert figures to maintain a significant role off the bench.
Mar 11, 2024
Impressive scoring performance
Kispert closed with 22 points (8-15 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds and six assists over 39 minutes during Sunday's 110-108 win over the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Kispert was deadly from three-point range, and aside from this being his fifth game with at least five threes made, it's worth noting he's also scored 20 or more points in four of his last eight appearances. He's averaging 14.3 points per game while shooting 38.2 percent from deep since the end of the All-Star break.
Mar 10, 2024
Draws another start
Kispert will start Sunday's game against the Heat.
ANALYSIS
With Richaun Holmes (toe) and Marvin Bagley (back) out, the Wizards will go small with Kyle Kuzma at center, opening up a spot on the wing for Kispert. Across his previous three starts this season, Kispert has averaged 12.7 points, 3.0 assists and 1.7 rebounds in 26.7 minutes per game.
Mar 8, 2024
Moves back to bench
Kispert isn't in the starting five for Friday's game versus the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Richaun Holmes will replace Kispert in the starting lineup Friday. Kispert is averaging 13.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals in 23.2 minutes across his last five appearances coming off the bench.
Mar 6, 2024
Scores eight in start Wednesday
Kispert provided eight points (2-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), one rebound, two assists and one steal across 19 minutes during Wednesday's 119-109 loss to the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Kispert picked up three fouls in the first quarter -- including two on offense -- and was forced to sit on the bench for the entire second frame. His 19 minutes of court time Wednesday was his lowest since Jan. 24, despite the fact he was inserted into the starting lineup for Marvin Bagley (back).
Mar 6, 2024
Will start Wednesday
Kispert will start Wednesday's game against the Magic.
ANALYSIS
With Marvin Bagley (back) sidelined, the Wizards are going small, as Kispert will be joined by Kyle Kuzma, Deni Avdija, Bilal Coulibaly and Tyus Jones in the starting lineup. The small-ball lineup could open up more looks for Kispert, who's averaging 15.7 points per game on 36.7 percent from deep over his last 14 appearances (one start).
Mar 1, 2024
Strong production off bench
Kispert finished with 20 points (8-15 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, six assists and one steal in 27 minutes during Thursday's 134-131 overtime loss to the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
With Deni Avdija (heel) returning to action, Kispert retreated to a bench role following a spot start against the Warriors on Tuesday. However, he retained quality playing time as a reserve and continues to put up strong numbers regardless of his role. Kispert has scored at least 20 points in four of his last five appearances, averaging 18.4 points, 4.0 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 28.4 minutes during that stretch.
Feb 29, 2024
Back to bench
Kispert will come off the bench for Thursday's game versus the Lakers, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
No surprises here, as Deni Avdija is returning from his heel injury Thursday. The Wizards are still pretty shorthanded, meaning Kispert is likely to play a significant role with the second unit.
Feb 27, 2024
Pops for 20 points in return
Kispert had 20 points (8-15 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 0-1 FT), three rebounds, five assists and two blocks across 33 minutes during Tuesday's 123-112 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Kispert returned from a one-game absence, sliding straight into the starting lineup. He was one of three Wizards players to score at least 20 points, continuing his recent uptick in offensive production. He has now scored at least 20 points in three of the past four games and makes for a viable 12-team commodity for anyone needing points and threes with a sprinkling of steals.
Feb 27, 2024
Starting Tuesday
Kispert is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Kispert will be flanked by Jordan Poole and Landry Shamet in the backcourt, while Kyle Kuzma and Marvin Bagley hold down the frontcourt. Kispert has logged just one prior start this season, which yielded 10 points on uncharacteristic 1-for-10 shooting from beyond the arc in 28 minutes.
Feb 27, 2024
Good to go Tuesday
Kispert (illness) has been cleared for Tuesday's game against Golden State, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert returns from a one-game absence due to illness. His shooting prowess will be a welcome addition to a Washington offense that ranks 26th in offensive rating across the last four contests, and he could be in line for an untick in usage with Deni Advija (heel) inactive.
Feb 26, 2024
Questionable for Tuesday
Kispert (illness) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Warriors, Chase Hughes reports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert was a late scratch Sunday and remains under the weather. The timing isn't ideal for Washington, as Deni Avdija (heel) is questionable and Bilal Coulibaly (pelvis) has been ruled out. Johhny Davis could see more opportunities as a result Tuesday.
Feb 25, 2024
Late scratch Sunday
Kispert (illness) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
Kispert was a late addition to Sunday's injury report due to his non-COVID illness, and the Wizards ruled him out after the scheduled tipoff time for the game. His next chance to suit up will be Tuesday against the Warriors.
Feb 25, 2024
Late addition to injury report
Kispert is questionable for Sunday's game against Cleveland due to an illness.
ANALYSIS
Kispert is dealing with a non-COVID illness, which had been undisclosed prior to 30 minutes before Washington's 6:00 pm E.T. tipoff versus the Cavaliers. If Kispert is unable to suit up, Landry Shamet and Johnny Davis would likely see bumps in usage.
Feb 24, 2024
Impressive off bench once again
Kispert registered 20 points (6-12 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 5-6 FT), two rebounds and two steals over 25 minutes during Friday's 147-106 loss to the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Kispert is not expected to move to a starting role any time soon since the Wizards are giving minutes to the likes of Deni Avdija and Bilal Coulibaly on the wing. However, Kispert continues to find ways to produce, and he has been a reliable scorer off the bench in recent weeks for a reeling Washington team. Kispert has scored in double digits in eight of his last 10 bench appearances, a span in which he's averaging 16.6 points per game while shooting 37.7 percent from beyond the arc.
Feb 15, 2024
Hits for 20 off bench
Kispert logged 20 points (7-15 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, six assists and one steal across 32 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 133-126 loss to the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
It's the fourth time in the last seven games Kispert has scored at least 20 points from the second unit, although he'd managed only 10 points total in the prior two contests coming into Wednesday. The third-year forward is still averaging 16.9 points, 4.1 boards, 2.9 threes and 2.7 assists over that stretch in 27.6 minutes a game, and he could be emerging as the Wizards' most consistent bench player.
Feb 8, 2024
Big night off bench Wednesday
Kispert contributed 23 points (9-15 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds and two assists in 33 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 114-106 loss to Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
Just two games after setting a season high with 26 points, Kispert came within a three-pointer of matching that output. The 2021 first-round pick has dropped at least 15 points in four straight games, taking advantage of the extra work he's picking up with Marvin Bagley (back) on the shelf. Over that four-game stretch, Kispert's averaging 20.0 points, 3.8 boards, 3.3 threes and 2.3 assists while shooting 54.4 percent from the floor.
Feb 3, 2024
Season best outing as top scorer
Kispert posted 26 points (10-18 FG, 6-14 3Pt, 0-1 FT), four rebounds and two assists over 31 minutes during Friday's 110-102 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Kispert led all players in Friday's contest in scoring and threes made while coming off the bench, both season high totals for the third-year forward. Kispert has connected on five or more threes in three games this season while surpassing the 20-point mark in four contests. He has now recorded 15 or more points in two straight outings off the bench.
Feb 1, 2024
Productive off bench Wednesday
Kispert ended Wednesday's 125-109 loss to the Clippers with 16 points (6-11 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds and one assist across 27 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Kispert didn't do much outside of scoring Wednesday, but that's his main role off the bench, and his fantasy upside lives and dies based on what he does as a shooter. Over his last 10 games, Kispert is averaging 9.8 points per game while shooting 33.3 percent from three-point range.
Jan 21, 2024
Delivers 16 points off bench
Kispert totaled 16 points (4-10 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 7-7 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal across 25 minutes during Saturday's 131-127 loss to the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Kispert has been extremely productive in a bench role for the Wizards, and he has been putting up solid scoring figures, particularly via his three-point shooting. Kispert is averaging 11.6 points per game while shooting 38.1 percent from beyond the arc in nine January contests.
Jan 9, 2024
Efficient performance in loss
Kispert racked up 11 points (4-5 FG, 3-4 3Pt), one rebound and two assists across 18 minutes during Monday's 136-128 loss to the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Kispert missed just one shot from the field en route to his eighth double-digit scoring effort over his last nine appearances. During that stretch, he's averaged 13.3 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 19.2 minutes per game.
Jan 1, 2024
Top scorer off bench in defeat
Kispert amassed 15 points (5-10 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 4-5 FT) and four assists in 18 minutes during Sunday's 130-126 loss to the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Kispert led all bench players in Sunday's contest in scoring while pacing the Wizards second unit in assists and shots made to boost Washington's offense. Kispert has been a strong contributor off the bench this season, tallying 15 or more points in 10 outings, including in four of his last five contests.
Dec 23, 2023
Nears 20 points off bench in loss
Kispert posted 18 points (7-15 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound and one block across 25 minutes during Friday's 129-118 loss to Golden State.
ANALYSIS
Kispert led all bench players in Friday's contest in scoring while connecting on a team-high-tying mark from the field in just 25 minutes of action. Kispert has been a nice spark on Washington's second unit this season, tallying at least 15 or more points in seven outings including in two of his last five contests.
Dec 12, 2023
Notches nine points
Kispert ended with nine points (3-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-4 FT), two rebounds and one assist across 23 minutes during Monday's 146-101 loss to Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
After a hot start to the month, Kispert has cooled off in his last two outings. Through four December games, he's averaging a solid 11.8 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 2.5 three-pointers in 22.8 minutes per contest. However, his lack of defense continues to hold him back in nine-category leagues with a total of one block and one steal in that span.
Nov 25, 2023
Added to starting lineup
Kispert will start against the Hawks on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Kispert will replace Jordan Poole in the starting lineup, as the star shooting guard is out due to left ankle soreness. This will be the first start of the season for Kispert, who's averaging 11.6 points per game over his last five outings.
Nov 25, 2023
Drains six triples Friday
Kispert racked up 20 points (7-12 FG, 6-10 3Pt), five rebounds and one assist over 33 minutes during Friday's 131-128 loss to the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Though Kispert came off the bench (as he has throughout the campaign), his 33 minutes were second-most on Washington. The 24-year-old certainly justified the hefty playing time by hitting the 20-point mark for the second time this season on the strength of an impressive 6-for-10 shooting performance from deep. Kispert's playing time and production have varied too much for him to be a reliable fantasy asset, but he's established some value in deep leagues as a three-point specialist with 2.0 triples per contest on 38.9 percent shooting from beyond the arc. Managers should be aware, however, that Kispert has yet to show an ability to produce in other categories over his NBA career thus far.
Nov 16, 2023
Leads bench in loss
Kispert poured in 12 points (3-8 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four assists and a rebound in Wednesday's 130-117 loss to the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Although the Wizards are in the midst of a four-game losing streak, Kispert's production certainly has not wavered, as he's averaged 11.3 points, 2.8 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 0.8 steals on 40 percent shooting from three in that stretch. Expect the sharpshooter to continue seeing extended minutes in the wake of Delon Wright's (knee) absence.
Nov 11, 2023
Scores 15 off bench
Kispert closed Friday's 124-117 loss to the Hornets with 15 points (5-6 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and three rebounds over 16 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Kispert's 15 points were his second highest total in seven games this season, and his fourth time reaching double-digits. The depth guard is now averaging 10.6 points, 2.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 0.9 assists and a 2.0 triples across 21.0 minutes on the young season.
Nov 6, 2023
Available to play
Kispert (ankle) will play in Monday's game against the 76ers, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert being available is the expected outcome after he participated in shootaround. He, Daniel Gafford and Deni Avdija were all battling ankle injuries but will all suit up Monday.
Nov 6, 2023
Participates in shootaround
Kispert, who's listed as questionable due to an ankle injury, participated in the Wizards' morning shootaround ahead of Monday's game against the 76ers, Ava Wallace of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert, Daniel Gafford (ankle) and Deni Avdija (ankle) are all listed as questionable but participated in the morning shootaround, so it appears like the Wizards are trending toward being at full strength versus Philadelphia. Across four appearances, Kispert is averaging 11.0 points and 2.5 rebounds in 23.5 minutes per game.
Nov 5, 2023
Listed as questionable
Kispert (ankle) is questionable for Monday's game against the 76ers, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kisper is dealing with a left ankle sprain, which caused him to miss Friday's game against Miami. He is joined by Daniel Gafford and Danny Avdija as Wizards battling ankle issues heading into Monday's game.
Nov 3, 2023
Ruled out Friday
Kispert (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's game against Miami.
ANALYSIS
Kispert was questionable ahead of Friday's matchup and will be forced to miss his first game of the season after spraining his ankle Wednesday against Atlanta. He was walking around without crutches Thursday despite not practicing, and his next opportunity to return to game action will be Monday in Philadelphia.
Nov 2, 2023
Questionable Friday
Kispert (ankle) is questionable for Friday's game against the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Kispert sustained a left ankle sprain during Wednesday's game against Atlanta and didn't practice Thursday. However, he was moving without crutches Thursday and will be in the mix to suit up Friday. If he's unable to play, Bilal Coulibaly and Johnny Davis could see an uptick in usage.
Nov 2, 2023
Doesn't practice Thursday
Kispert (ankle) was absent from Thursday's practice but is moving without crutches, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert left Wednesday's game versus the Hawks early due to a left ankle sprain. His absence from practice is a bad sign of his availability for Friday's matchup with Miami.
Nov 1, 2023
Won't return Wednesday
Kispert (ankle) has been ruled out for the remainder of Wednesday's game against the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Kispert was initially labeled questionable to return after sustaining a sprained left ankle during Wednesday's contest. Now that he's officially been ruled out, he'll finish the tilt with two points and one assist over 14 minutes. His next chance to play will come Friday at Miami.
Nov 1, 2023
Questionable to return Wednesday
Kispert is questionable to return to Wednesday's game versus the Hawks due to a left ankle sprain.
ANALYSIS
Kispert exited Wednesday's game early after tallying two points and one assist in 14 minutes. If Kispert is unable to return, his next chance to suit up will be Friday's matchup with Miami.
Oct 30, 2023
Team option exercised
Kispert's team option for 2024-25 was picked up by Washington on Monday, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert has blossomed into a quality scorer fueled by dynamic shooting. The 24-year-old buried 42.4 percent of 5.2 threes per game last season, and he's on a similar pace through Washington's first three contests thus far.
Oct 30, 2023
Scores 22 in victory
Kispert closed with 22 points (8-14 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one steal across 32 minutes during Saturday's 113-106 win over the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Kispert came off the bench for a second consecutive matchup Saturday but saw plenty of playing time and doubled his scoring total from Opening Night. The 24-year-old has unsurprisingly been unable to generate much production in secondary categories, but it's been encouraging to see him open the year with back-to-back double-digit scoring totals.
Oct 26, 2023
Scores 11 in defeat
Kispert notched 11 points (4-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and one assist in 24 minutes during Wednesday's 143-120 loss to the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
The Wizards struggled to keep up during Wednesday's regular-season opener, but Kispert put together a decent stat line off the bench while seeing ample playing time. Washington isn't expected to be competitive this year, so it's possible Kispert's role remains steady after he averaged 11.1 points and 2.8 rebounds in 28.3 minutes per game last season.
Apr 2, 2023
Drops 29 points in loss
Kispert closed with 29 points (10-19 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 5-5 FT) and three rebounds across 34 minutes during Sunday's 118-109 loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Kispert has posted season-high point totals in back-to-back games, as the Wizards continue to run out a depleted roster. Kristaps Porzingis (illness), Bradley Beal (knee), Monte Morris (ankle) and Kyle Kuzma (ankle) all missed Sunday's game, giving Kispert a chance to lead the Wizards in shots. Outside of points and threes, Kispert won't produce much for fantasy managers. But Kispert has been a top-50 player in nine-category leagues over the past week making him an important fantasy asset for the final week of the season.
Mar 31, 2023
Erupts for 27 points
Kispert amassed 27 points (9-14 FG, 9-14 3Pt) and three rebounds over 42 minutes during Friday's 116-109 loss to the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Kispert's 27 points mark a new career best, and the same is true for his nine makes from three-point range. He ended up just one three-pointer away from the Wizards' single game record. The three highest scoring games in Kispert's career have come in March, and he's doing a wonderful job picking up the slack offensively with the Wizards missing several key players.
Mar 27, 2023
Another strong scoring performance
Kispert chipped in 19 points (7-16 FG, 5-11 3Pt) and three rebounds across 40 minutes during Sunday's 114-104 loss to the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Kispert has been on a roll of late, surpassing the 15-point mark in his last two starts and scoring in double digits in six of his previous eight outings. Kispert is seeing more time due to the injuries affecting the roster, and he could be a viable fantasy option Tuesday against the Celtics as long as he remains in the starting role, which is not set in stone as of now.
Mar 24, 2023
Erupts for 26 points
Kispert ended Friday's 136-124 win over San Antonio with 26 points (9-14 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 2-5 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one block over 36 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Bradley Beal has a "mild" left knee sprain and is day-to-day, but with Washington sitting in 12th place in the Eastern Conference, the Wizards may proceed with caution. Kispert had the greenest of lights Friday night as he set a new career-high for points, and he's cleared 30 minutes in six of his last seven games. His fantasy trajectory is pointing straight up.
Mar 22, 2023
Struggles to shoot in start
Kispert ended with nine points (3-10 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and two assists over 31 minutes during Wednesday's 118-104 loss to the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Kispert has started four of the last five games, partially due to Bradley Beal (knee) and Kyle Kuzma (ankle) missing Wednesday's game. The second-year guard had another opportunity, but couldn't knock down shots, as he tied his season high with six missed threes. Kispert also failed to help in other categories, with a pedestrian box score. Even if Beal and Kuzma miss more time, Kispert will be tough to trust as a streaming option.
Mar 18, 2023
Starting against Sacramento
Kispert is in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Kings, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Head coach Wes Unseld confirmed Kispert's return to the starting unit in place of the injured Kristaps Porzingis (illness). He's averaging 10.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game across 33 starts this season.
Mar 17, 2023
Coming off bench Friday
Kispert will come off the bench Friday against the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Kispert notched 16 points during Tuesday's game against the Pistons, but he will head back to the bench with Kyle Kuzma in the starting lineup following a one-game absence. Kispert is averaging 9.6 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game when coming off the bench this season.
Mar 14, 2023
Reaches double figures in start
Kispert racked up 16 points (6-14 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and one steal across 34 minutes during Tuesday's 117-97 victory over the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Kispert got the start in place of the injured Kyle Kuzma (knee), finishing as one of sthree Wizards players with 15 or more points. Kispert has tallied at least 15 points on 10 occasions this season, including in two straight outings.
Mar 14, 2023
Starting for injured Kuzma
Kispert will start Tuesday's matchup versus the Pistons, Ava Wallace of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
With Kyle Kuzma (knee) sidelined, Kispert will make his first start since Feb. 13. As a starter this season, the sharpshooter is averaging 9.8 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 30.3 minutes.
Mar 12, 2023
Season high in scoring off bench
Kispert chipped in 25 points (9-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds and one assist across 33 minutes during Sunday's 112-93 loss to the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Kispert led all Wizards players in scoring and shots made from three en route to setting a new season-high point total in Sunday's defeat. Kispert, who surpassed the 20-point mark for the first time this season, has scored 15 or more points seven times this year.
Mar 8, 2023
Lights out in win
Kispert recorded 16 points (6-7 FG, 4-5 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist across 32 minutes during Tuesday's 119-117 win over the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Kispert missed just one shot from the field en route to his highest scoring output since Jan. 9 and notched his fourth straight game in double figures. During that stretch, the Gonzaga product is averaging 12.3 points while shooting 72.0 percent from the field and 62.0 percent from deep. While Kispert's recent offensive outburst has been nice, his incredible shooting percentages suggest a regression is coming soon.
Mar 4, 2023
Perfect from perimeter in loss
Kispert racked up 12 points (4-4 FG, 4-4 3Pt), four rebounds and one assist across 35 minutes during Saturday's 116-109 overtime loss to the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Kispert went a perfect 4-of-4 from the three-point line, logging a few extra minutes due to an illness to Deni Avdija. While this was a solid night for anyone who streamed him in, Kispert's uptick is unlikely to last more than possibly this game. Given Avdija is only dealing with an illness, he could very well return against the Bucks on Sunday.
Feb 14, 2023
Moves to bench
Kispert isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game versus Portland, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert will be replaced by Kyle Kuzma in the starting five Tuesday. He is averaging 7.6 points and 1.8 rebounds in 26.8 minutes during his last five appearances.
Feb 11, 2023
Returns to starting lineup
Kispert is in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Kispert came off the bench Wednesday against the Hornets and only recorded four points across 19 minutes in the Wizards win, but now he'll get a chance to redeem himself after back-to-back subpar performances. Kispert is averaging 9.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists across 30.6 minutes per game in his 30 starts this season.
Feb 8, 2023
Moves to bench
Kispert isn't in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game versus Charlotte, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert will be replaced by Bradley Beal in the starting five Wednesday. The second-year guard has started in 14 of the Wizards' last 20 games and is averaging 9.8 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 26.8 minutes over that span.
Feb 7, 2023
Struggles with shot versus Cavs
Kispert supplied two points (1-7 FG, 0-5 3Pt), one rebound and one assist over 26 minutes during Monday's 114-91 loss to the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Kispert's main asset from a fantasy perspective is his three-point shooting, so he's not much of a help when he fails to knock down any of his attempts like he did Monday. The effort marks his lowest output since he played just 11 minutes versus Oklahoma City on Nov. 11, and he supplemented it with just one board and one assist. Kispert's shot volume and minutes were on par, and the Wizards struggled to score on the whole, so this isn't really a worrisome outcome for him moving forward and should be primarily viewed as a blip on the radar.
Feb 4, 2023
Starting Saturday
Kispert will start Saturday's game against the Nets.
ANALYSIS
With Bradley Beal (foot) out, Kispert will join the starting five. He's been in and out of the lineup all season, and in his 10 starts in January, he averaged 10.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 28.7 minutes.
Jan 30, 2023
Stays hot from three
Kispert recorded 14 points (5-11 FG, 4-7 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and two steals in 27 minutes during Monday's 127-106 win over San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
Kispert remained locked in from beyond the arc and scored 12 of his 14 points from downtown. He's now drilled eight of his last 13 tires from deep and has scored in double figures in three of his last four contests, all starts. Kispert managed to draw another start Monday night with Daniel Gafford (illness) ruled out, but he'll likely rejoin the reserves once the big man is cleared for action.
Jan 24, 2023
Starting against Dallas
Kispert is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mavericks, Ava Wallace of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert moved to a bench role with the return of Bradley Beal last week, but he's back in the lineup due to the absence of Kristaps Porzingis (ankle). Kispert is averaging 9.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists across 24 starts this season.
Jan 18, 2023
Coming off bench with Beal back
Kispert will come off the bench for Wednesday's matchup at New York.
ANALYSIS
With Bradley Beal (hamstring) returning from five consecutive absences, Kispert will head back to a reserve role. When coming off the bench this season, he's averaging 9.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 22.6 minutes.
Jan 11, 2023
Good to go against Chicago
Kispert (back) is available for Wednesday's game versus the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Kispert has been upgraded from questionable to available with lower back soreness. He will likely remain in the starting five Wednesday with Bradley Beal (hamstring) still out.
Jan 10, 2023
Questionable Wednesday
Kispert is questionable for Wednesday's matchup against the Bulls due to lower back soreness.
ANALYSIS
If available, Kispert should continue to start in Bradley Beal's (hamstring) absence. If Kispert is sidelined, more minutes should open up for Deni Avdija, Will Barton and Jordan Goodwin.
Jan 6, 2023
Back in starting lineup
Kispert will start Friday's game against the Thunder, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Kispert will return to the starting lineup with Bradley Beal out for the next few games with a hamstring injury. Across 19 starts this year, Kispert has averaged 9.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 31.4 minutes per game.
Jan 3, 2023
Moves back to bench
Kispert isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's matchup with the Bucks, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Bradley Beal will replace Kispert in the starting lineup after missing the last three games with a hamstring injury. The second-year guard averaged 10.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 32.0 minutes over that span.
Dec 28, 2022
Starting in Beal's absence
Kispert will start Wednesday's game against the Suns.
ANALYSIS
With Bradley Beal (hamstring) sidelined, Kispert will rejoin the starting five. In seven December starts, he's averaged 9.9 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.4 assists.
Dec 23, 2022
Reverts to bench
Kispert will operate off the bench Friday against the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Kispert will head to the bench with Kristaps Porzingis back in the mix. Across nine games as a reserve, Kispert has averaged 9.1 points and 1.9 rebounds in 22.8 minutes.
Dec 23, 2022
Scores 12 points in spot start
Kispert provided 12 points (4-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal across 37 minutes during Thursday's 120-112 loss to the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Kispert moved into the starting lineup after Deni Avdija was earlier ruled out with a back injury. A starting role is nothing new for Kispert, although you wouldn't know it to look at his season averages. He is currently outside the top 200 in standard formats, putting up just 9.5 points and 1.8 triples per game. Outside of limited streaming appeal, Kispert is better left for managers in much deeper formats.
Dec 22, 2022
Enters starting five
Kispert is starting Thursday's game against the Jazz, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert will get a chance with the first unit due to the absence of Deni Avdija (back). The Gonzaga product is averaging 9.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists across his last six starts.
Dec 17, 2022
Seven points in 33 minutes
Kispert amassed seven points (3-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist in 33 minutes during Saturday's 102-93 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Kispert logged at least 30 minutes for the eighth straight game, although you wouldn't know it to look at his numbers. Across those eight games, he has scored more than 15 points on two occasions, adding very little in terms of supporting contributions. He is outside the top 200 over that period and so despite the role, he remains a deeper league option only.
Dec 7, 2022
Joins starting unit Wednesday
Kispert will start Wednesday's game versus the Bulls, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert draws into the starting five for the first time since Nov. 27 due to Bradley Beal (hamstring) being sidelined. Kispert has logged minutes in the low 30s in the last two games and should maintain a similar workload while Beal is out. He's also displayed some promising signs offensively of late, tallying double digits in three of the last four games.
Dec 3, 2022
Hits four triples
Kispert ended Friday's 117-116 loss to the Hornets with 14 points (5-8 FG, 4-7 3Pt), five rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 31 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Kispert came off the bench Friday but ended up starting the second half over Deni Avdija, who played just nine minutes. The sophomore marksman is on pace for career highs in points (9.3), assists (1.7), steals (0.7) and threes (1.7) per game, plus field-goal percentage (52.6) and three-point percentage (44.1). He's mostly a streaming option for deeper leagues.
Nov 28, 2022
Heads to bench
Kispert will come off the bench Monday against the Timberwolves, Alan Horton of the Timberwolves Radio Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert had started his team's last four contests due to multiple injuries to Washington's starting five, but he'll return to a bench role Monday evening. He scored 17 points and added four rebounds, three assists and two steals in his last appearance as a reserve, which dates back to Nov. 18 against Miami.
Nov 20, 2022
Scoring success continues
Kispert chipped in 14 points (4-7 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, three assists and one block over 32 minutes during Sunday's 106-102 victory over Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
Kispert has now finished in double figures in four of his last five contests. He also put together his best rebounding game of the season Sunday, beating his previous best of four boards. Kispert has shown that he can contribute across the board at times, but he's failed to do so consistently to this point.
Nov 20, 2022
Starting Sunday
Kispert is starting Sunday against Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
Kispert came off the bench during the last two games but will rejoin the starting lineup with Monte Morris (ankle) unavailable Sunday. Over five starts earlier in the year, Kispert averaged 10.2 points and 2.4 rebounds in 25.4 minutes per game.
Nov 19, 2022
Solid night off bench
Kispert contributed 17 points (6-9 FG, 5-8 3Pt), four rebounds, three assists and two steals over 38 minutes during Friday's 107-106 overtime win over the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Kispert turned in a double-digit scoring total off the bench for the first time this season, as he was held to just two points in 11 minutes Wednesday against the Thunder in a reserve role. He knocked down a season-best five triples on the way to victory Friday and also collected a pair of steals for the third time in eight games.
Nov 16, 2022
Moves to bench Wednesday
Kispert isn't in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Thunder, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert will move to the bench as Bradley Beal (conditioning) returns to the lineup. Kispert averaged 10.2 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.0 steals in 25.4 minutes in five games as a starter.
Nov 13, 2022
Season-high 18 points
Kispert closed with 18 points (6-6 FG, 4-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one steal across 29 minutes during Saturday's 121-112 victory over the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Washington couldn't have asked for much more out of Kispert on Saturday as the guard went a perfect 6-of-6 from the field for a season-high 18 points. Kispert also went 4-of-4 from beyond the arc while playing a season-high 29 minutes in the contest. The 18 points were also a season-high, as were his four rebounds on the night.
Nov 7, 2022
Plays 24 minutes in start
Kispert totaled six points (3-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 0-1 FT), three rebounds and three assists across 24 minutes during Sunday's 103-97 loss to the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
With Bradley Beal landing in COVID-19 protocols, Kispert moved into the starting lineup and saw a slight bump in minutes relative to his season debut on Friday against the Nets (18 minutes). The 2021 first-round pick missed the first two weeks of the regular season while recovering from an ankle injury, but he should be a stable piece in the rotation going forward. Once Beal is back, Kispert will likely operate off the bench, seeing action at both small forward and shooting guard. As a rookie, Kispert averaged 8.2 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.5 made threes with a 46/35/87 shooting line.
Nov 6, 2022
Will start Sunday
Kispert will start Sunday against Memphis, Ava Wallace of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Bradley Beal will miss Sunday's game while in COVID-19 protocols, so Kispert will draw his first start of the campaign. The second-year wing scored two points (0-6 FG) in 18 minutes during his season debut Friday but figures to see an increased role against the Grizzlies.
Nov 4, 2022
Minutes restricted Friday
Kispert's (ankle) minutes will be limited in his return to the floor Friday versus the Nets, Ava Wallace of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert's minutes restriction isn't surprising, considering he hasn't played yet in the regular season. The second-year guard should be a bigger part of the plan once his conditioning is up to speed. It's unclear exactly how low his limit will be, but it's presumably below the 23.4 minutes per game he averaged last season.
Nov 3, 2022
Set to make season debut Friday
Wizards coach Wes Unseld Jr. said Kispert (ankle) will be available for Friday's game versus the Nets, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert has yet to play this season due to a left ankle sprain. The second-year player out of Gonzaga will likely have the ability to compete for a starting job with Deni Avdija, Anthony Gill, and Will Barton. At the very least, Kispert should be able to improve upon his 8.2 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 23.4 minutes across 77 games from his rookie year.
Nov 1, 2022
Sitting out Wednesday
Kispert (ankle) remains out for Wednesday's game versus the 76ers, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The Wizards are still awaiting Kispert's season debut after his solid rookie campaign, and the staff will need to wait a little longer while he continues to work his way back. It's still unclear when that debut will come, though head coach Wes Unseld indicated last week that Kispert is getting close.
Oct 31, 2022
Still out Monday
Kispert (ankle) is out for Monday's contest against Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
Kispert is slated to miss a seventh straight game to start the 2022-23 campaign. It's unclear when he'll make his debut, but he logged a full practice last Thursday, suggesting his return to action is on the horizon.
Oct 30, 2022
Remains out Sunday
Kispert (ankle) is listed as out for Sunday's game in Boston.
ANALYSIS
Kispert will miss a sixth straight game to begin the season while he recovers from a left ankle sprain, but he could be ready to make his 2022-23 debut at some point during the upcoming week. He was a full participant in Thursday's practice, but the Wizards may want to see Kispert turn in another full workout or two before slotting him into the rotation.
Oct 27, 2022
Nearing return
Wizards coach Wes Unseld Jr. said Kispert (ankle) was a full participant in Thursday's practice and is "really close" to returning despite being out for Friday's game versus the Pacers, Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washingtonreports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert is on track to match his 4-6 weeks timeline for recovery after spraining his ankle in early October. The earliest Kisper can return will be Sunday versus the Celtics.
Oct 25, 2022
Practices with G League squad
Wizards head coach Wes Unseld said Kispert (ankle) was able to practice with the G League squad Tuesday, Ava Wallace of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert sprained his ankle at the beginning of October and was expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks, so he appears to be right on track with his recovery. While his return to practice is certainly encouraging, it remains to be seen how far away he is from game action. When the second-year wing is available, he'll likely be competing with Deni Avdija and Will Barton for playing time in Washington's crowded frontcourt.
Oct 11, 2022
Rehab going well
Wizards coach Wes Unseld Jr. said Tuesday that Kispert's (ankle) recovery is going well and appears to be ahead of schedule, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports
ANALYSIS
Kispert was originally expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks after spraining his ankle on Oct. 2. While it is not guaranteed that he will beat his original timeline, it appears that the shorter end of his recovery timeline is likely. When Kispert does return, he will likely be competing with Deni Avdija and Will Barton for minutes in the forward rotation.
Oct 5, 2022
Out 4-to-6 weeks
Kispert will miss approximately four to six weeks after spraining his left ankle during Sunday's preseason contest against the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Kispert is set to miss at least the first few weeks of the regular season due to the ankle sprain. This is a tough blow for the second-year guard, who finished his rookie season posting 11.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists over the final 29 games of his rookie campaign. In his absence, rookie first-round pick Johnny Davis figures to garner an increased reserve role to start the 2022-23 campaign.
Apr 10, 2022
20 points in loss
Kispert finished with 20 points (8-12 FG, 4-8 3PT), three rebounds and one assist in the 124-108 loss to Charlotte on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Kispert put up his third-highest scoring output in Washington's season finale. The rookie put together a solid scoring stretch to end the season as he reached double figures in 14 games since the beginning of March.
Apr 7, 2022
Another double figure performance
Kispert supplied 12 points (5-11 FG, 2-7 3Pt), three rebounds and three assists across 32 minutes during Wednesday's 118-103 loss to the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Kispert scored in double figures for a third consecutive contest and for the sixth time over his last seven games. During that stretch, the rookie has averaged 12.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 34.7 minutes per game.
Apr 4, 2022
Modest production in loss
Kispert finished Sunday's 144-102 loss to Boston with 10 points (4-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds and two assists across 33 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Kispert scored in double figures for the fourth time over his last five games and grabbed five rebounds -- his most since March 12. Over his last five appearances, the rookie has averaged 12.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 36.0 minutes per game.
Mar 28, 2022
Ignites victory
Kispert provided 25 points (9-12 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound and three assists across 41 minutes during Sunday's 123-115 victory over the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Kispert poured in a career-high 25 points across a whopping 41 minutes -- joining Bradley Beal and Jordan Crawford as the only rookies in franchise history with 25-plus points and five-plus threes in a contest. His scoring output is maddeningly inconsistent, but Kispert is shooting 40.9 percent from beyond the arc over his last 15 games.
Mar 22, 2022
Accurate shooting in loss
Kispert provided 13 points (5-9 FG, 3-7 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist in 33 minutes during Monday's 115-97 loss to Houston.
ANALYSIS
Although increased shot volume would aid his fantasy impact, Kispert connects often from all over the court. Over 18 games as a starter, Kispert has a field-goal conversion rate of 47 percent. He's also averaged 6.2 three-point attempts per game and drained them at a 38.4 percent clip over the same span.
Mar 18, 2022
Scores 14 points in Friday's loss
Kispert amassed 14 points (4-7 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 29 minutes during Friday's 100-97 loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Kispert continues to start for the Wizards, scoring in double-digits for the fourth time in his past five games. Unfortunately, that's where the good news ends for the rookie, thanks to his inability to put up meaningful production anywhere else. He appears locked in as a starter and so while he is certainly not on the 12-team radar, managers in deeper formats can consider him as a streamer for both points and triples.
Mar 12, 2022
Catches fire from downtown
Kispert registered 21 points (8-14 FG, 5-11 3Pt) and two rebounds in 34 minutes Friday in the Wizards' 122-109 loss to the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
With at least three triples in four of his first five games in March, Kispert is doing exactly what the Wizards expected from him when they selected him with the 15th overall pick in July's draft. That being said, his contributions have been largely limited to the three-pointers category, as he's supplementing his scoring with meager averages of 2.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.2 steals and 0.2 blocks thus far in March. Kispert should be locked into a sizable role the rest of the way with Bradley Beal (wrist) done for the season, but the rookie is still probably best viewed as a streamer for three-pointers and little else in 12-team leagues and shallower.
Mar 2, 2022
Solid production in win
Kispert totaled 11 points (4-11 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 0-1 FT), four rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal across 36 minutes during Tuesday's 116-113 win over Detroit.
ANALYSIS
Kispert dished out at least five assists for just the second time this season and registered at least one steal and one block for a third consecutive game. The rookie has made eight consecutive starts and has averaged 10.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists across 32.9 minutes during that stretch. He'll look to keep up his solid play Friday against the Hawks.
Feb 18, 2022
Leads starting unit
Kispert chipped in 16 points (6-9 FG, 4-6 3Pt), one rebound, one assist and two steals across 32 minutes during Thursday's 117-103 win over Brooklyn.
ANALYSIS
Kispert paced Washington starters with 16 points, especially demonstrating success in the left corner, from which he sunk there of his four triples. Washington is last in the league in made threes per game, averaging just 10.2. Should Kispert remain productive, he has the opportunity for a stable role in the Wizards' offense.
Feb 13, 2022
Comes up big in 36 minutes
Kispert tallied 20 points (7-16 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six assists and three rebounds across 36 minutes Saturday in the Wizards' 123-110 loss to the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Though Washington selected Kispert with the No. 15 overall pick in July's draft mainly on the basis on his perimeter shooting, he showed off some passing skills Saturday while picking up his second straight start. Don't expect Kispert to remain a consistent contributor in the assist column, but his production is undoubtedly headed on an upward trajectory following Bradley Beal's season-ending wrist injury coupled with the trade-deadline deal that sent Spencer Dinwiddie to Dallas. Though Raul Neto and Ish Smith will most likely split playing time at point guard, Kispert looks like he'll have a clear path to a regular 30-plus-minute role at shooting guard and should have free reign to put up shots. Until Kristaps Porzingis (knee) is cleared to make his Wizards debut, Washington won't have many established scoring options beyond Kyle Kuzma.
Feb 7, 2022
Booms for 20 points
Kispert notched 20 points (9-15 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, one assist and one steal across 26 minutes during Monday's 121-100 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
The rookie matched his season-high in scoring, leading the Wizards in production. It's worth noting that 11 of his points came in the fourth quarter, all of which was essentially garbage time with Miami winning by 21 points entering the frame. Kispert was fired up late in the contest, throwing the ball against the stanchion but miraculously not drawing a technical foul. He'll look to translate that energy into a win when Washington hosts Brooklyn on Thursday.
Feb 3, 2022
Hits three treys
Kispert chipped in 11 points (3-6 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, one assist and one block in 18 minutes during Wednesday's 106-103 victory over the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Wednesday marked the first time in seven prior contests that Kispert has connected on multiple threes. The rookie is shooting just 31.5 percent from deep this season, despite a prolific career from beyond the arc at Gonzaga. With Bradley Beal (wrist) out indefinitely, perhaps Kispert can comfortably settle into an enlarged role moving forward.
Jan 17, 2022
Moves back to bench
Kispert recorded 11 points (3-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal across 30 minutes during Monday's 117-98 victory over the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
The rookie started all three games that Bradley Beal missed due to COVID-19 protocols, but with Beal back in action Monday, Kispert moved back to a reserve role. The change didn't have a negative impact on his workload, however, as he saw 30 minutes of action -- his most in any game since Jan. 5 against Houston. Kispert has now scored in double-figures in four straight games for the first time in his career. Fantasy-wise, he remains a fringe option in most leagues, but he could be of use to managers in desperate need of three-pointers.
Jan 11, 2022
Plays well in start
Kispert recorded 12 points (5-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt), five rebounds, three assists and one block across 29 minutes during Tuesday's 122-118 win over the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Kispert has filled in nicely as a spot starter five times this season -- this time with Bradley Beal (COVID-19 protocols) sidelined. In his previous four starts, he averaged 13.0 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists, so Tuesday's effort was a marginal improvement on his typical line in this situation. He'll presumably remain a starter as long as Beal is sidelined.
Jan 11, 2022
Starting with Beal out
Kispert will start Tuesday's game against the Thunder, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
With Bradley Beal re-entering protocols, Kispert will start in his place. In the rookie's four previous starts, he's averaged 13.0 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 33.8 minutes.
Jan 3, 2022
Shifts back to bench
Kispert will come off the bench Monday against the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Kispert has started four of the past five games but will move to the bench for Monday's contest. Deni Avdija will enter the starting five in his place.
Jan 1, 2022
Back in starting five
Kispert will start Saturday's game against the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
The rookie will start his fourth game of the season. In his previous three starts, he's averaged 14.0 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 35.3 minutes.
Dec 30, 2021
Back to bench
Kispert will come off the bench Thursday against the Cavaliers, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
With Bradley Beal back from protocols and newly-signed Brad Wanamaker starting, Kispert will head back to a bench role. He's seen at least 20 minutes in each of his past six games, with averages of 9.7 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists.
Dec 24, 2021
Splashes four threes in win
Kispert logged 20 points (6-7 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds and three assists over 32 minutes during Thursday's 124-117 victory over the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Making his first career start with Bradley Beal and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in COVID-19 protocols, Kispert had a fantastic night, drilling six of his seven field goal attempts en route to finishing as a plus-12 in 33 minutes. The first-round pick out of Gonzaga has been somewhat lost in the shuffle within a deep wing rotation, but he makes for an intriguing streaming candidate for fantasy managers in need of three-pointers while Beal and Caldwell-Pope are sidelined.
Dec 23, 2021
Draws first start of career
Kispert will start Thursday's contest against the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
With Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Bradley Beal both sidelined due to COVID-19 protocols, Kispert wil draw the first start of his career. The rookie is averaging 3.9 points and 1.8 rebounds across 13.1 minutes per game this season, but he will likely garner a larger role Thursday.
Dec 18, 2021
Cleared to play
Kispert (quadriceps) will be available Saturday against the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Kispert has seen at least 19 minutes in each of his past four appearances, but there have been two DNP-CDs mixed in. During this stretch, he's averaging 6.5 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 20.3 minutes.
Dec 18, 2021
Questionable vs. Utah
Kispert is questionable for Saturday's game against the Jazz due to a quad bruise, but he was able to fully participate in shootaround, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Kispert's workload waxes and wanes. He's seen at least 19 minutes in each of his past four appearances, though there are two DNP-CDs mixed in. It wouldn't be surprising if he was held out if he's less than 100 percent by game time.
Dec 1, 2021
Set for minutes boost
Kispert is expected to see more minutes during Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves, Josh Robbins of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
Addressing the media pregame, coach Wes Unseld Jr. said he anticipates Kispert seeing more action with Aaron Holiday (illness) sidelined. To date, the first-round pick out of Gonzaga has played more than 18 minutes only once -- 24 minutes in a loss to Miami on Nov. 18 -- and he's averaging just 13.0 minutes over his last five appearances. His larger role Wednesday could make him a decent, lower-end DFS play, but Kispert is still not worth rostering in most season-long leagues.
Nov 18, 2021
Solid output off bench
Kispert registered 13 points (5-10 FG, 3-7 3Pt) and four rebounds in 24 minutes off the bench during Thursday's 112-97 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Kispert hadn't scored in double digits this season and hadn't reached the 20-minute mark in any game before Thursday, so this performance came a bit out of nowhere. While this might lead to a few extra minutes in future games, Kispert is not likely to be a steady contributor for the Wizards going forward and might not have a lot of upside unless he can find a way to perform like this on a semi-consistent basis.
Oct 28, 2021
Plays nine minutes Thursday
Kispert failed to score (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt) but totaled three rebounds, one assist and one block in nine minutes during Thursday's win over Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
The rookie logged at least nine minutes for a third time this year. However, Kispert was relatively a non-factor, as the forward didn't score for a first time in four appearances. Kispert has totaled six points and seven rebounds so far for the Wizards.
Oct 5, 2021
Scores 12 in preseason debut
Kispert posted 12 points (5-9 FG, 2-6 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and one steal with no turnovers in 25 minutes during Tuesday's 125-119 loss to the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Kispert shot efficiently and committed no turnovers, which is about as much as you can ask for with a No. 15 pick starting in his first preseason game. Once Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (dental procedure) is available, likely Saturday against the Knicks, Kispert will likely start coming off the bench.
Oct 5, 2021
Starting Tuesday's preseason opener
Kispert will start Tuesday's preseason opener against the Rockets, Ava Wallace of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
The No. 15 overall pick in this year's draft will get the chance to start at small forward for the preseason opener. Once Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (dental procedure) is available, he'll presumably start.
