However, he remains a solid contributor across all formats due to the impact he can make on both ends of the court. VanVleet is averaging 14.3 points, 6.1 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game across his first eight outings.

VanVleet ended Monday's 109-97 victory over New York with 19 points (8-13 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five assists, two rebounds, two steals and one block over 36 minutes.

After a three-game span in which the 30-year-old shot 20.5 percent from the field, he produced a bounce-back outing with an efficient game. VanVleet's four-point performance Thursday was his lowest scoring output since January 29 of the 2023-24 regular season against the Lakers (three). He's failed to reach the 20-point mark in five of his last eight appearances, a span where he's shooting just 41.4 percent from the field and 37.8 percent from deep. However, he still salvages his fantasy contributions due to strong peripheral stats that include 7.3 assists and 2.4 steals per game in that stretch.

The Rockets pushed their winning streak to 11 games, and as has been the trend during that span, VanVleet delivered another solid showing. Even though his shooting figures weren't efficient Friday, as he ended with more shot attempts than points scored, VanVleet at least managed to reach the 20-point mark for the second time over his last seven appearances. The veteran floor general averages 16.1 points per game in that span despite shooting a subpar 38.3 percent from the field.

VanVleet provided 15 points (5-18 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals in 26 minutes during Monday's 110-92 victory over the Trail Blazers.

VanVleet posted a solid all-around stat line in 26 minutes, as he found a way to contribute on both ends of the court, but he struggled in terms of efficiency with his shot. The veteran floor general has failed to surpass the 15-point mark in four of Houston's last five games, but that's also because Jalen Green has taken on a more prominent role as a scorer. Despite that cold stretch, VanVleet is averaging 18.8 points and 9.5 assists per game since the beginning of March.

VanVleet closed Friday's 138-104 victory over the Hornets with 14 points (5-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, three assists, six blocks and one steal over 30 minutes.

The 6-foot-0 guard out of Wichita State continues to play like a defensive big man as of late and has recorded three or more blocks in each of his last three appearances. He hasn't been as productive from a scoring stand point as of late, and his three assists Friday were his lowest output since Dec. 23 against the Pelicans, but VanVleet continues to make an impact outside of the scoring column. He's averaging 16.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, 7.8 assists, 1.9 blocks and 1.0 steals over 35.4 minutes per game in January.

VanVleet closed with 18 points (8-17 FG, 2-10 3Pt), six rebounds, seven assists, three blocks and three steals across 46 minutes during Wednesday's 137-131 overtime loss to Portland.

Despite being listed at 6-foot-0, VanVleet has now registered three blocks in back-to-back contests. His efficiency from three-point range is of some concern, as he's shot just 20% from beyond the arc over his last two games. VanVleet is averaging 16.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 8.3 assists, 1.6 blocks and 1.0 steals over 35.8 minutes per game in January.

VanVleet (back) is available for Wednesday's game versus the Trail Blazers.

VanVleet will return to action Wednesday after missing Houston's previous contest with lower-back soreness. The 29-year-old point guard is averaging 15.0 points, 8.6 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 34.8 minutes across his last five appearances.

VanVleet will miss Sunday's contest against Boston due to lower back tightness

VanVleet logged a full 34-minute workload in Saturday's win over Utah and completed the contest without an in-game injury designation, but he will nonetheless be inactive Sunday. He joins an injury-riddled cast of Rockets, including Jabari Smith (ankle), Tari Eason (leg), Jeff Green (calf) and Reggie Bullock (back), with Aaron Holiday and Amen Thompson poised to step up in the backcourt.

VanVleet contributed 18 points (8-19 FG, 2-10 3Pt), five rebounds, seven assists, three blocks and one steal across 34 minutes before fouling out of Saturday's 127-126 overtime win over the Jazz.

VanVleet's scoring marks an inverse of his typical production, as he entered Saturday's contest canning 39.4 percent of 7.9 threes per game while simultaneously grading as the worst rim finisher (39.0 percent) in the league among all players with at least 100 shots of the basket. Unique scoring performance aside, the 29-year-old continued an excellent streak of facilitation, amounting to a 53:6 AST:TO ratio over his last six games.

VanVleet finished Wednesday's 109-94 loss to the Knicks with 24 points (8-19 FG, 5-12 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds, 12 assists and one block over 41 minutes.

VanVleet was responsible for 12 of the Rockets' 23 assists Wednesday. It was the fourth time he's registered a double-double in January and the 15th time he's reached that mark this season. VanVleet is averaging 15.8 points on 43.1 percent shooting (including 41.1 percent from three), 3.0 rebounds, 8.1 assists and 1.4 blocks over 34.3 minutes per game in January.

VanVleet ended Friday's 112-110 victory over the Pistons with 20 points (7-15 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds, 12 assists, two blocks and two steals across 43 minutes.

The veteran point guard made sure the Rockets weren't going to lose to the NBA's worst team, scoring 17 of his 20 points in the second half. VanVleet already has a career-high 14 double-doubles on the season, and his 8.6 assists per game through 36 contests would also be a personal best if he can keep it up.

VanVleet finished Monday's 120-113 loss to the Heat with 32 points (10-22 FG, 7-14 3Pt, 5-5 FT), five rebounds, seven assists and two blocks over 39 minutes.

VanVleet finished just one point shy of tying his best output of the season, and the veteran floor general continues to make an impact as a reliable scoring weapon but without stealing touches from other reliable performers in an on-the-rise Houston team. VanVleet had a subpar start to the season from a scoring perspective, but he seems to be trending in the right direction of late with averages of 17.0 points per game across his last 10 outings. That said, he's still far from the numbers he was putting up during his Toronto days -- he averaged over 19.0 points per game in his last three seasons with the Raptors before signing with Houston in the offseason.

VanVleet finished Wednesday's 112-101 win over the Nets with 21 points (7-9 FG, 6-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, 10 assists and two blocks in 36 minutes.

VanVleet was efficient from the field, and though he wasn't tasked with leading the offense in a game where Alperen Sengun had a massive performance, he still made his presence felt as a scorer and playmaker. VanVleet has four double-doubles over his last nine outings, a span in which he's averaging 19.6 points with 9.0 assists per game.

VanVleet logged 33 points (9-16 FG, 8-12 3Pt, 7-8 FT), three rebounds, 10 assists, one block and one steal over 43 minutes during Friday's 131-127 loss to the 76ers.

VanVleet delivered an impressive performance as a scorer and playmaker, and while his efforts were impressive, they were not enough to lift the Rockets to a victory against one of the top teams in the Eastern Conference. VanVleet has had some inconsistencies from time to time, but all things considered, he has provided a lift to the Rockets' backcourt. He has three double-doubles over his last seven contests.

VanVleet ended Tuesday's 123-117 loss to Indiana with 18 points (7-18 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds, nine assists, one block and two steals across 40 minutes.

VanVleet struggled shooting the ball from deep again -- he's gone 4-for-19 (21.1 percent) from three-point range over his past three games -- but he otherwise played well in the close defeat. The point guard looked more like himself as a distributor, falling just one dime shy of a double-double after totaling just seven assists over his previous two contests. VanVleet's season stat line in his first season in Houston hasn't been much different than what fantasy managers had come to expect during the end of his tenure in Toronto; he's posting per-game averages of 17.1 points, 8.6 assists, 3.8 rebounds, 2.9 triples and 1.1 steals while shooting 39.3 percent from the field and 88.2 percent from the charity stripe through 27 contests this season.

VanVleet accumulated 10 points (3-11 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-3 FT), three assists and one steal in 36 minutes during Saturday's 106-104 victory over the Pelicans.

The Rockets came through and picked up a road win over the Pelicans, but VanVleet didn't have his best performance and struggled badly from the field for the second game in a row. There's a chance these two are just subpar outings for the veteran floor general, as he's averaging 18.5 points per game across 11 games in December. The efficiency has been an issue, though, as he's shooting just 40.1 percent from the field in that span.

VanVleet posted 27 points (9-19 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 5-5 FT), eight rebounds, 17 assists, one block and two steals in 45 minutes during Monday's 135-130 overtime loss to Cleveland.

Despite the loss, VanVleet delivered his best game of the season, tallying season-high totals in both points and assists. He also recorded at least two steals for the fourth time in the past five games, an element of his game that had been missing earlier in the season. Over the past two weeks, he has been a top 20 player in nine-category leagues, lifting him into the top 35 for the season.

VanVleet amassed 22 points (8-16 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, six assists, two blocks and one steal across 39 minutes during Sunday's 128-119 loss to the Bucks.

VanVleet filled the stat sheet admirably Sunday and did what he could to lift Houston to a victory, but he came up short while facing Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard and the Bucks. VanVleet has now gone seven straight games without a double-double, but he's been doing an excellent job filling out the stat sheet, so he remains an extremely valuable player in most fantasy formats, particularly the category-based leagues.

VanVleet ended with 16 points (5-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-5 FT), six rebounds, eight assists, two blocks and four steals across 36 minutes during Friday's 103-96 victory over the Grizzlies.

VanVleet has gone six straight games without a double-double, but it's worth noting he has ended three assists or fewer from reaching that tally in four of those contests. Even though his scoring figures aren't on the same note as they were during his Toronto days, VanVleet remains a reliable fantasy option for the point guard, especially considering his uptick in assists. He's averaging a career-high 8.5 dimes per game in 2023-24.

VanVleet had 11 points (2-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 7-9 FT), five rebounds, nine assists and three steals in 39 minutes during Wednesday's 117-104 victory over the Grizzlies.

VanVleet didn't have a good shooting performance, and his efficiency from the charity stripe ultimately saved his scoring output -- and his overall fantasy stat line. However, the veteran floor general hasn't been able to replicate the same scoring numbers he had with the Raptors. He's averaging just 16.4 points per game, a noticeable drop considering he never averaged fewer than 17.0 points per contest in any of his previous four seasons with Toronto.

VanVleet finished Monday's 93-82 win over San Antonio with 16 points (6-17 FG, 4-11 3Pt), six rebounds, five assists and two steals over 39 minutes.

VanVleet didn't have his best scoring output, especially after notching a season-high 26 points against the Nuggets on Friday, but he still posted a decent all-around stat line while continuing to look like an absolute menace from three-point range. VanVleet has hit three or more three-pointers in four games in a row and in six of his last seven contests. During that seven-game span, the floor general is shooting 41.8 percent from beyond the arc while averaging 16.9 points per contest.

VanVleet finished Friday's 114-106 victory over the Nuggets with 26 points (6-17 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 10-13 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one block across 40 minutes.

VanVleet let his scoring do the talking Friday, leading the way with a team-high 26 points, including four three-pointers. While it has been a strong season for VanVleet, his defensive numbers are a little concerning. Currently, he is averaging just 0.8 steals per game, well below what he has put up in the past. If he can get back to at least 1.2 per game, he should be able to push for another top-30 season.

VanVleet (thumb) is available for Saturday's game against the Lakers, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.

If and when he can return to being an elite steals guy, he should push toward being a top-30 player ROS.

VanVleet's assist totals have been stellar recently. Over the past three games, he's dropped an astonishing 40 dimes, and although VanVleet's shooting stroke is slumping slightly, the assist numbers can quickly forgive any shooting mishaps.

VanVleet amassed 15 points (5-14 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, 16 assists and one steal over 40 minutes during Sunday's 105-104 loss to the Lakers.

VanVleet came close to reaching his career-best mark in assists when he delivered 20 dimes against the Hornets last season, but he was still elite despite the fact the Rockets couldn't hold on to victory. VanVleet has posted back-to-back double-doubles for the second time this season and is trending in the right direction of late, averaging 17.9 points and 9.5 assists per game this month.

VanVleet ended Sunday's 107-104 win over Denver with 26 points (9-21 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 5-7 FT), two rebounds and four assists across 41 minutes.

VanVleet popped for a season-high 26 points, giving him back-to-back games with at least 20 points and five on the campaign. Houston's new floor general has been as advertised to start the campaign, averaging a career-high 7.9 assists per game while sinking 3.1 triples a night. The Rockets have been one of the biggest surprises of 2023-24 thus far, and VanVleet's veteran contributions are a big reason why.

VanVleet accumulated 11 points (3-8 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and five assists across 27 minutes during Monday's 122-97 victory over the Kings.

VanVleet attempted a season-low eight shots, as Jalen Green and Alperen Sengun led Houston offensively. VanVleet's scoring production (16.7 PPG) is down slightly compared to his last few years in Toronto, but he is averaging a career-high 8.2 assists while operating as a true floor general with his new squad.

VanVleet ended Saturday's 107-89 victory over the Kings with 21 points (7-22 FG, 4-14 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds, 12 assists and two blocks over 36 minutes.

The veteran floor general didn't have a good shooting performance and finished with more shot attempts than points scored, but other than that, he delivered another strong outing. VanVleet struggled badly in his Houston debut, but he has posted three double-doubles across four performances since then.

VanVleet produced 22 points (8-17 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds and 11 assists in 39 minutes during Wednesday's 128-119 victory over Charlotte.

VanVleet's double double and stout 11:2 AST:TO ratio guided Houston to its first win of the season. Last season, VanVleet ranked 10th league-wide with 606 three-point attempts, but he recorded just 12 games with at least five made triples. He'll look to carry his momentum into a high-octane affair against Sacramento on Saturday.

VanVleet looked much improved compared to his performance in the season opener, when he recorded 14 points while shooting 5-for-13 from the field against the Magic on Wednesday. While it wasn't enough to lift Houston to victory in a tough matchup that was decided in overtime, this was a step in the right direction for the veteran floor general. Fantasy managers who have VanVleet in their rosters are certainly hoping for more games like this going forward.

VanVleet didn't have his best shooting performance, and overall, his stat line was subpar compared to the numbers he used to deliver with the Raptors in past seasons. This is his first game in a new environment, however, so VanVleet is undoubtedly going to improve and record better numbers once he adjusts well to his teammates and a new system.

VanVleet wasn't sharp from the field and ended the contest with more field goal attempts (11) than points scored (10), but that is not an issue that should worry the Rockets, given this is VanVleet's first taste of semi-competitive action since the end of the 2022-23 campaign. The star point guard should continue to see time alongside Jalen Green in the backcourt during the preseason since both are expected to start once the regular season starts.

VanVleet agreed to a three-year, $130 million contract with the Rockets on Friday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

VanVleet landed the first max contract of free agency with the Rockets dipping into their loads of cap space. VanVleet is entering his age-29 season and is still in his prime, and it was never any secret that he was Houston's top target all along. VanVleet will likely share the backcourt with Jalen Green which could push Kevin Porter Jr. to the bench, and VanVleet's presence will certainly make things easier for Houston's young roster. As for Toronto, they will be disappointed to not retain the star guard, but it opens the door for Scottie Barnes to play a featured role in 2023-24.

Wojnarowski is reporting that VanVleet hasn't ruled out a return to the Raptors, but if he does end up leaving, Toronto could look into some sign-and-trade scenarios.

The point guard ends the 2022-23 campaign as one of Toronto's best players and a bonafide star. He averaged 19.3 points and a career-high 7.2 assists per game during the regular season while racking up nine double-doubles and one triple-double.

The month of April has been rough for the veteran guard. He's only knocking down 31.4 percent of his attempts and averaging only 13.8 points in these four games.

VanVleet registered 20 points (7-17 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 5-5 FT), five rebounds, 20 assists and three steals in 38 minutes during Sunday's 128-108 win over the Hornets.

VanVleet led all players in Sunday's contest in assists en route to a 20-20 point-assist performance in the blowout victory. VanVleet posted 20 dimes for the first time this season, now having surpassed the double-digit assist mark 12 times.

VanVleet had 19 points (5-17 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 6-7 FT), five rebounds, six assists and one steal over 42 minutes during Friday's 117-110 loss to Philadelphia.

VanVleet knocked down only 29.4 percent of his tries from the field but still finished second on his squad in scoring behind Scottie Barnes, who put up 29 points. VanVleet also committed six turnovers in the loss, his worst mark of the 2022-23 campaign. Despite this, he continues to produce across the board for fantasy managers and has registered a steal in 16 straight matchups.

VanVleet continues to be one of Toronto's most productive players on a game-to-game basis, and he has scored at least 20 points in four of the team's last five contests, reaching the 28-point mark thrice in that span. Since returning from a three-game absence due to personal reasons, VanVleet is averaging 15.8 points, 10.3 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals in 37.5 minutes across four games.

VanVleet was stellar on both ends of the floor Saturday, carrying the Raptors to a much-needed victory. Not only did he record his seventh double-double of the season, but he also added five combined steals and blocks. Despite some ongoing injury concerns, VanVleet has been a top-20 player this season, when healthy. With the Raptors pushing for a playoff spot, he should continue to deliver consistent second-round value ROS,

His field-goal percentage is usually his worst fantasy category, but 21.4 percent is still incredibly low. Once his three pointers start falling, his offense will be back. At least VanVleet has produced good assist and steal numbers over the last two games.

VanVleet was a force to be reckoned with Wednesday, leading the contest in points (34) and assists (10) while notching his first triple-double of the season. Nine of his points came in the fourth quarter on 3-of-4 shooting from three, while his four makes from beyond the arc led the team. VanVleet has scored at least 20 points in seven of his last nine games and has dished out 10 or more times in two of his last four.

VanVleet totaled 24 points (9-19 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 4-5 FT), four rebounds, nine assists, one block and one steal in 39 minutes before fouling out of Monday's 114-106 loss to Phoenix.

VanVleet did everything he could to lead the Raptors to victory in this one, but his efforts were not enough. Even though he's been struggling with his shot for most of the season, it seems as if the floor general is starting to turn things around. Aside from scoring exactly 39 points in his last two outings, he's now scored 20 or more points in four of his last five contests. He's still delivering solid value based on his volume and peripheral stats, but an uptick in the efficiency department would increase his value considerably.

VanVleet ended with 39 points (13-25 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 11-11 FT), eight rebounds, five assists, one block and four steals across 38 minutes during Wednesday's 124-123 loss to the Kings.

The Raptors came up short in this game, but VanVleet was massive in this contest and had one of his best performances of the campaign. The star guard has scored at least 20 points in three of his last four outings, but overall, he's been disappointing and is averaging only 19.1 points per game in December while shooting 37.6 percent from the field and 24.6 percent from deep in that span.

VanVleet accumulated 20 points (4-11 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 10-12 FT), four rebounds, seven assists and four steals over 42 minutes during Sunday's 111-99 loss to the Magic.

VanVleet did most of his damage in the third quarter as he scored 11 points and dished out four assists. It was the first time all season that he made 10 free throws in a game. He's been drawing more fouls recently and has attempted 27 free throws in the last three games after averaging just 3.6 attempts over his first 18 contests of the year.

Gary Trent needs more time to gel with the team, so for now, VanVleet is carrying a heavy load. Under the circumstances, he's playing exceedingly well. Although he missed five games in early March, the remainder of the month has been productive, with an average of 20.3 points, 4.5 assists, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.6 steals over eight games played.

While his scoring wasn't on par with his seasonal average, his steal and assist numbers have seen a nice uptick since his return.

After totaling only 19 points over the prior two games, VanVleet bounced back and hit for 20 or more points for the 14th time in 27 games. The 26-year-old guard is earning his big contract extension, averaging career highs in scoring, rebounds and three-pointers to begin the season.

VanVleet logged five points (2-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt), 11 assists, three rebounds, two blocks and two steals in Thursday's 120-106 loss to the Celtics.

VanVleet's performance Thursday was as mixed as it could be. He logged both his season-high 11 assists and season-low five points both in one game against the Celtics. On the plus side, VanVleet has shown to be a capable distributor in recent matchups by averaging 9.3 assists across his past four games.

VanVleet dropped 14 points (5-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven assists and four rebounds over 34 minutes in the Raptors' 137-115 win over the Wizards on Wednesday.

VanVleet continued his excellent February with another solid effort. In five games -- that also includes a career-high 54 points -- this month, he is averaging 27.2 points, 6.4 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game while shooting 49.4 percent from the field. His nine turnovers over the last two games are a bit of a red flag, however.

VanVleet posted 32 points (8-14 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 12-12 FT), nine assists, three rebounds and three steals across 39 minutes in Monday's win over the Grizzlies.

VanVleet ended with five turnovers as well, but that was because he was tasked with a bigger playmaking responsibility after Kyle Lowry left the game due to a back problem. VanVleet scored 54 points a few games ago, but it's worth noting he has scored 25 or more points in four of his last six outings.

VanVleet recorded 25 points (6-18 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 10-11 FT), 10 assists, six rebounds and two steals across 39 minutes in Saturday's loss against the Hawks.

VanVleet struggled from the field and only made 33 percent of his shots, but he took advantage of his 11 trips to the charity stripe to deliver his third game with at least 25 points across his last five appearances. VanVleet's scoring figures have been a bit inconsistent of late but he's still in the midst of a career-best season, and he should remain one of the Raptors' top fantasy threats on a nightly basis.

VanVleet dropped 54 points (17-23 FG, 11-14 3Pt, 9-9 FT), three rebounds, three steals, three blocks and two assists across 37 minutes in Tuesday's 123-108 win over the Magic.

From the beginning, VanVleet let it be known that Tuesday was going to be his night, scoring 28 points in the first half, including 17 points in the first quarter. Along with points, VanVleet also set career-highs in both field goals made and three-pointers made. He also made his presence felt on the defensive side of the ball. He has recorded at least one steal now in nine consecutive games while his three blocks tied a season-high.

VanVleet scored 26 points (7-16 FG, 3-7 3PT, 9-10 FT) to go along with five rebounds, six assists and four steals across 36 minutes in Friday's loss to the Kings.

VanVleet continued his tenacity on the defensive side of the floor, as he's now logged multiple steals in five consecutive games. After shooting 3-for-17 in his last contest, VanVleet also showed improved shooting touch and got to the free-throw line for a season-high 10 attempts. While some of that offensive load will lighten with the eventual return of OG Anunoby (calf) and Normal Powell (quadriceps), VanVleet has proven to be a valuable contributor across all fantasy categories with the exception of field-goal percentage.

VanVleet recorded 10 points (3-17, 2-11 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 assists, five rebounds, four steals and three blocks in 38 minutes during Wednesday's 115-108 loss to the Bucks.

VanVleet was extremely inefficient during Wednesday's game, but he helped make up for it by handing out 10 assists and playing well defensively. On the season, he's on pace to set career highs in points (18.9), rebounds (4.5) and threes (3.2) per game.

Even with Kyle Lowry back in the lineup, VanVleet still led the Raptors in scoring on the night. The 26-year-old guard has scored more than 20 points in three of the last four contests, averaging 20.8 points, 6.5 assists, 4.8 boards, 2.8 threes and 2.0 steals over that stretch.

Despite those struggles, VanVleet has now handed out at least eight assists in three of his last four contests.

Luckily he has produced elsewhere to help out his Raptors, but his shot is nothing to rely on right now. Until he can start helping produce more in the offensive end, he is not going to be as viable.

VanVleet has settled as Toronto's biggest threat on offense on a nightly basis, and his numbers seem to back that up -- he has reached the 25-point plateau in four of his six contests to date, and the only reason why his scoring numbers aren't higher is that he started the 2020-21 season with two single-digit scoring efforts over his first three games. Either way, VanVleet is averaging 21.8 points per game through his first six appearances.

The standout guard has been hot and cold to begin the season, but he managed to put together two productive games in a row. Saturday's performance is what we're used to seeing with VanVleet after a summer session where he put up superlative numbers every time he took the floor. The abbreviated preseason had an adverse effect on many pure shooters. Once VanVleet settles in, he should meet and possibly exceed the production he had in the Orlando bubble.
