Gary Trent Injury News & Updates
Keep up with the latest injuries from the Celtics vs Bucks game on Thursday with our National Basketball Association injury report.Dec 1, 2025
Available to play
Trent (thumb) is available for Monday's matchup with the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Trent will power through the thumb issue and he should be available for his usual minutes. Trent has been struggling lately, shooting just 8-for-27 from the floor over his past three games.
Dec 1, 2025
Questionable for Monday
Trent is questionable for Monday's game against the Wizards with a right thumb sprain.
ANALYSIS
Trent was a late addition to the injury report. Presumably, he will warm up before a decision is made on his status. If Trent is unavailable, there could be more minutes available for guys like Cole Anthony, AJ Green and Gary Harris.
Nov 29, 2025
Won't start Saturday
Trent won't start Saturday's game against the Nets.
ANALYSIS
With Kevin Porter (knee) back in action, Trent will slide to the second unit. Over his last five games off the bench, the 26-year-old swingman has averaged 11.2 points in 28.8 minutes per contest.
Nov 26, 2025
Starting Wednesday
Trent is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game versus Miami.
ANALYSIS
Trent has been inconsistent this season, but he tends to provide some triples and steals when given the minutes, so he's on the radar as a potential deep league streamer Wednesday evening. As a starter this season, Trent has produced averages of 10.0 points, 2.3 assists, 2.3 triples and 1.2 steals per game.
Nov 25, 2025
Scores 12 off bench
Trent produced 12 points (3-7 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-5 FT), two rebounds, three assists and one steal across 32 minutes during Monday's 115-103 loss to the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Trent has turned in solid performances since being relegated to the bench, averaging 10.7 points, 0.7 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.7 steals and 2.2 threes on a 43.3 percent clip across 27.5 minutes in his last six appearances with the second unit. With the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo (groin), Trent is needed to step up offensively, but his usage will likely decrease when the former returns.
Nov 21, 2025
Starts second half Thursday
Trent ended Thursday's 123-114 overtime loss to Philadelphia with 11 points (4-10 FG, 3-7 3Pt), two assists and one steal across 38 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Head coach Doc Rivers experimented with his lineup in the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo (groin), starting Trent over Bobby Portis to begin the second half. Trent should certainly have more opportunities to produce while Antetokounmpo is on the shelf, making him worth a look in deep category leagues for the time being. For the season, the veteran sharpshooter has averaged 10.3 points, 2.0 assists, 1.5 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 2.3 three-pointers in 16 games.
Nov 15, 2025
Relegated to bench
Trent ended with eight points (3-5 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one assist and one steal over 21 minutes during Friday's 147-134 overtime victory over the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Trent shifted to the bench, a move that did nothing to end his recent lack of production. He has now scored single digits in six straight games, averaging 5.5 points per contest during that span. Given his limited skill set, Trent should be viewed as nothing more than a three-point streaming consideration.
Nov 14, 2025
Headed to bench
Trent will come off the bench for Friday's game against the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Trent has hit a rough patch over the past five games, so Bucks' head coach Doc Rivers will send him to the bench and shift Kyle Kuzma to the three-spot to infuse some more offense into Milwaukee's first unit. Trent ranks outside the top 150 on the year, so he belongs on the waiver wire.
Nov 10, 2025
Makes three three-pointers in loss
Trent racked up nine points (3-6 FG, 3-5 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and two steals over 29 minutes during Sunday's 122-115 loss to the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Trent's usage has been trending downwards, as he is only averaging 6.7 points on 6.3 attempts from the field in his last three games after averaging 13.6 points on 11.1 attempts in his first seven games to start the season. Trent will look to get right offensively Monday against the Mavericks.
Nov 1, 2025
Efficient 17 points Saturday
Trent amassed 17 points (5-7 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 3-5 FT) and two assists across 32 minutes during Saturday's 135-133 loss to Sacramento.
ANALYSIS
It was an efficient shooting display by Trent, who has now managed to score in double figures in five of his first six games to start the season. The swingman should remain a viable source of threes and steals for fantasy managers in category-based settings. Trent has averaged 14.0 points, 2.7 assists, 1.8 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 3.0 three-pointers in 29.2 minutes per game this year.
Oct 28, 2025
Available Tuesday
Trent (illness) is available for Tuesday's game against the Knicks, Steve Popper of Newsday reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent was added to the injury report Tuesday morning due to an illness but will give it a go against New York. The 26-year-old swingman has averaged 14.3 points, 2.7 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 27.3 minutes per game across three regular-season appearances so far.
Oct 28, 2025
Now probable for Tuesday
Trent (illness) is probable for Tuesday's game against the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
This is a downgrade for Trent, as he wasn't on the initial injury report. Fortunately for Milwaukee, it appears as though he'll play despite being less than 100 percent.
Oct 24, 2025
Connects on four three-pointers
Trent finished Friday's 122-116 win over the Raptors with 20 points (7-15 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 2-4 FT), two rebounds and four assists over 29 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Trent was one of three Bucks players to score 20-plus points in Friday's win, and most of his damage came from deep with four triples. The eight-year pro is off to a night start to the season, averaging 18.5 points while going 9-for-22 from deep through the first two games. Trent's role in the offense could expand even more if Kyle Kuzma is sidelined due to an ankle sprain that he sustained in the fourth quarter of Friday's game.
Oct 23, 2025
Scores 17 points in win
Trent closed with 17 points (6-12 FG, 5-11 3Pt), four rebounds, two assists and two steals in 24 minutes during Wednesday's 133-120 win over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Trent, who returned to the Bucks during the offseason on a two-year, $7.5 million bargain-bin deal, started this game and got plenty of looks from beyond the arc. Kevin Porter left this game early with an ankle issue and could miss time, making Trent even more important for his ability to space the floor. His overall upside isn't the greatest, but he's an excellent source of points, three-pointers and steals when he's in form.
Jun 30, 2025
Returning to Milwaukee
Trent agreed to a two-year, $7.5 million deal with the Bucks on Monday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent was slated to hit the open market as an unrestricted free agent, but the Bucks moved fast to keep him around. The veteran provides some much-needed floor spacing, and he should see consistent minutes in Milwaukee as an outside scoring threat. Trent averaged 11.1 points, 2.4 three-pointers, 2.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.0 steals across 25.6 minutes per game in 74 regular-season appearances (nine starts) with the Bucks in 2024-25.
Apr 13, 2025
Ruled out Sunday
Trent (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Pistons, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent is dealing with a right knee contusion, which will keep him sidelined for the Bucks' regular-season finale. Andre Jackson and Pat Connaughton will likely see more time on the floor Sunday.
Apr 12, 2025
Unlikely to play Sunday
Trent (knee) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Locked in as the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference standings, the Bucks will likely rest their top rotational players Sunday while gearing up for a postseason run. If Trent were to be ruled out, he would finish the 2024-25 regular season averaging 11.1 points on 43.1 percent shooting (including 41.6 percent from three on 5.9 3PA/G), 2.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.0 steals in 25.6 minutes per contest across 74 games (nine starts). Trent's absence would open the door for more minutes for Andrew Jackson and Ryan Rollins (shoulder).
Apr 8, 2025
Coming off bench Tuesday
Trent is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
The return of Giannis Antetokounmpo (shoulder) will push Trent to the bench Tuesday. Trent has averaged 12.1 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.1 steals in 27.7 minutes across his last 11 games off the bench.
Apr 7, 2025
Explodes for 29 points Sunday
Trent ended Sunday's 111-107 win over the Pelicans with 29 points (10-17 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 5-8 FT), five rebounds and one assist across 40 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Trent started for the first time since March 26, and just for the second time since the All-Star break, but he made the most of the opportunity and established a new season-high scoring mark. Trent might struggle with consistency on a game-to-game basis, and his fantasy upside won't be very high if he continues to operate off the bench, but he still delivers value as a second-unit shooter for Milwaukee. He has scored in double digits in 12 of his last 14 appearances, averaging 13.9 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game while shooting 41.2 percent from three-point range in that stretch.
Apr 6, 2025
Will start against New Orleans
Trent will be in the starting lineup for the Bucks on Sunday against the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Trent will make his ninth start of the season for the Bucks. The veteran guard averaged 9.0 points and 1.9 rebounds per game, shooting 29.7 percent from the floor and 26 percent from beyond the arc throughout his last eight starts for Milwaukee.
Apr 4, 2025
Scores 13 points off bench
Trent totaled 13 points (3-8 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), two rebounds, one assist and three steals over 23 minutes during Thursday's 126-113 win over Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
Trent didn't deliver an eye-popping stat line by any means, but the veteran sharpshooter continues to make an impact as a reliable scoring weapon in the second unit for the Bucks. Trent has connected on three or more triples in six of his last eight games, a span in which he's averaging 14.0 points per game while making 45 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc.
Mar 28, 2025
Heads to bench Friday
Trent is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Giannis Antetokounmpo (foot) is making his way back into the starting lineup, pushing Trent to the bench. The veteran sharpshooter should still play meaningful minutes against New York in Damian Lillard's (calf) absence, with Trent averaging 14.1 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.1 steals in 26.7 minutes over 12 games this month.
Mar 27, 2025
Poor shooting display in loss
Trent totaled 16 points (5-15 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and four rebounds across 34 minutes during Wednesday's 127-117 loss to the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
While Trent made four of his 11 threes, this wasn't his best shooting performance overall, and he also didn't provide a lot of value in other categories outside of the scoring column. This was Trent's first start since Nov. 4, though it's uncertain if he'll remain in the starting unit when the Bucks take on the Knicks on Friday. There's a strong chance Trent will return to the second unit if Giannis Antetokounmpo (foot) is cleared to return for that contest.
Mar 26, 2025
Bumped into first five
Trent is part of the Ryan Blackburn of MileHighSports.com for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets, Ryan Blackburn of MileHighSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
With Giannis Antetokounmpo (foot) out Wednesday and Damian Lillard (calf) out indefinitely, Trent will step into the starting lineup for the first time since Nov. 4. In seven starts this season, Trent averaged 8.0 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.0 assists across 29.4 minutes per game. However, he should have a much higher usage while the Bucks are down their pair of stars.
Mar 24, 2025
Will go Monday
Trent (back) is available for Monday's game against the Suns, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will shake off a probable tag due to a lower back contusion and suit up Monday. The 26-year-old swingman has averaged 13.8 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.4 steals across 27.4 minutes per game in his last five outings.
Mar 23, 2025
Probable for Monday
Trent is probable for Monday's game against the Suns due to a lower back contusion, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent has been dealing with a knee issue of late, but he is now on the injury report due to a lower back contusion. However, it seems as if Trent will be able to play through his ailments Monday. The 25-year-old pro has scored in double figures in six straight outings.
Mar 22, 2025
Suiting up vs. Lakers
Trent (knee) is available for Saturday's game against the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Trent has been a regular name in the injury report due to a nagging left knee patella tendinopathy, but he's set to suit up for an eighth consecutive contest. The veteran sharpshooter has been on a roll of late, averaging 14.8 points per game and hitting 44.7 percent of his threes over his last five contests.
Mar 21, 2025
Likely to play Saturday
Trent (knee) is probable for Saturday's game against the Kings, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent has been a mainstay on the injury report of late due to left knee patella tendinopathy, though he's expected to play in his eighth consecutive contest Saturday. Over his last five appearances, the 26-year-old swingman has averaged 14.8 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steals across 25.0 minutes per contest.
Mar 21, 2025
Big night off bench
Trent closed with 23 points (6-10 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds, three assists and two steals over 27 minutes off the bench during Thursday's 118-89 win over the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
The performance tied his season scoring high, matching the 23 points he dropped on the Sixers on Feb. 9. Trent has found a little burst of consistency in March, scoring in double digits in five straight games -- his longest such streak since November -- while averaging 14.8 points, 3.4 threes, 1.8 boards, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steals and shooting 44.7 percent from beyond the arc.
Mar 20, 2025
Good to go Thursday
Trent (knee) will play Thursday against the Lakers, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent was handed a probable tag leading up to Thursday's matchup, so this update was expected. He's averaging 12.0 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists over his last five appearances, all off the bench.
Mar 19, 2025
Still working through knee injury
Trent (knee) is listed as probable for Thursday's game against the Lakers, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent has been playing through a left knee injury, but unless he suffers a setback he should be able to suit up Thursday. Trent has scored in double digits in each of the last four games and has shot 39.3 percent from three on 7.0 3PA/G over that span.
Mar 18, 2025
Available Tuesday
Trent (knee) is available for Tuesday's game against the Warriors, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will play through a knee injury to occupy his usual role off the bench Tuesday. Over seven games in March, the veteran sharpshooter has averaged 12.9 points, 1.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 0.9 steals in 23.8 minutes.
Mar 17, 2025
Likely to play Tuesday
Trent (knee) is listed as probable for Tuesday's game against the Warriors, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent popped up on the injury report before Sunday's game against the Thunder due to left patella tendinopathy, but he was able to play in a 121-105 loss and finished with 12 points, two assists, one rebound and two steals over 25 minutes. The injury doesn't appear to be too severe, as he's expected to suit up for Tuesday's interconference battle. Trent has scored in double digits in each of his last three outings and has shot 41.7 percent from three on 8.0 3PA/G over that span.
Mar 16, 2025
Will play Sunday
Trent (knee) is available for Sunday's game against the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Trent was a late addition to the injury report due to left patella tendinopathy, but he will be able to play through it Sunday. Trent holds averages of 10.8 points, 1.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 21.8 minutes per game over his last four contests.
Mar 16, 2025
Iffy to play Thunder
Trent is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Oklahoma City due to left patella tendinopathy.
ANALYSIS
Trent is a late addition to the injury report, which doesn't bode well for his chances of playing Sunday. Trent has played a meaningful role off the Bucks' bench this season, and if he's unable to play, fellow reserves AJ Green and Andre Jackson would be in line for increased minutes.
Mar 9, 2025
Good to go Sunday vs. Cavs
Trent (knee) is available for Sunday's game against the Cavaliers, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will return Sunday from a two-game absence due to right knee soreness. He has averaged 12.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.9 steals and 2.4 three-pointers across 25.4 minutes per game since the beginning of February.
Mar 9, 2025
Likely available Sunday
Trent (knee) is probable for Sunday's game against the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
After missing two straight games with knee soreness, including the first half of Milwaukee's current back-to-back set, Trent is expected to return to action Sunday. Over his last 11 appearances, Trent has averaged 14.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.2 steals in 26.6 minutes per game.
Mar 8, 2025
Won't play vs. Orlando
Trent (knee) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Magic, Mason Williams of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent missed Wednesday's win against the Mavericks while dealing with soreness in his right knee. Now, he will miss a second consecutive game due to the injury. As a result, Ryan Rollins and Andre Jackson may see more time on the floor on Saturday.
Mar 7, 2025
Doubtful to play Saturday
Trent (knee) is doubtful for Saturday's game against the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Trent missed the 137-107 blowout win over the Mavericks on Wednesday, and it's uncertain if he'll return to action Saturday. However, the doubtful tag suggests there's a decent chance he'll end up missing a second straight game. If that's the case, then Ryan Rollins and Andre Jackson could be candidates to see more minutes off the bench.
Mar 5, 2025
Out against Dallas
Trent will not play Wednesday against Dallas due to right knee soreness.
ANALYSIS
Trent logged 25 minutes against Atlanta on Tuesday, finishing with 15 points, two rebounds, two assists and a pair of three-pointers. He'll be held out for some maintenance Wednesday on the back end of this back-to-back set, however, so guys like Kevin Porter, Andre Jackson and Ryan Rollins could potentially see more run.
Mar 2, 2025
Pops for 20 off bench
Trent racked up 20 points (7-16 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and two assists across 30 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 132-117 win over the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
The 26-year-old wing produced at least 20 points for the first time since Feb. 12, while his four made threes represented Trent's best effort from beyond the arc since Feb, 9. He remains an erratic contributor in his bench role, however -- Trent's scored 10 points or less in six of 13 games since the beginning of February, averaging 12.7 points, 3.0 boards, 2.4 threes, 1.6 assists and 0.8 steals over that stretch in 25.4 minutes a contest.
Mar 1, 2025
Cleared to play
Trent (illness) is available for Saturday's game against the Mavericks, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Despite being a late addition to the injury report due to an illness, Trent will give it a go Saturday. Over his last 11 appearances, Trent has averaged 13.2 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals in 25.8 minutes per game.
Mar 1, 2025
Downgraded to questionable
Trent (illness) has been downgraded to questionable for Saturday's game against the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Trent could be trending toward missing Saturday's game due to an illness. If he's ruled out in Dallas, the Bucks may turn to Andre Jackson, AJ Green and Kevin Porter to help pick up the slack in the backcourt.
Feb 27, 2025
Provides boost off bench in win
Trent contributed 15 points (6-8 FG, 3-4 3Pt), three steals, two rebounds and one assist over 24 minutes in Thursday's 121-112 win over Denver.
ANALYSIS
Trent did it on both ends of the floor Thursday, coming off the bench and leading all second unit players in scoring while swiping a team-high trio of steals on the defensive end. Trent has tallied 15 or more points in 13 contests, adding three or more stelas in four of those outings.
Feb 25, 2025
Upgraded to available
Trent (knee) available for Tuesday's game against Houston, Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
As expected, the Bucks have upgraded Trent from probable to available Tuesday due to a right knee contusion. Over his last eight contests, the veteran swingman has averaged 14.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.9 three-pointers in 27.7 minutes while shooting 43.4 percent from downtown. Trent should handle his normal role off the bench against the Rockets.
Feb 24, 2025
Expected to play
Trent is probable for Tuesday's game against the Rockets with a right knee contusion.
ANALYSIS
Trent has been playing through this knee contusion for a few days and is expected to make his 18th straight appearance Tuesday. The guard is averaging 12.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 2.4 three-pointers over his last 10 contests.
Feb 23, 2025
Getting green light
Trent (knee) is available for Sunday's game against the Heat, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent has shaken off a probable tag and will make a 17th straight appearance. Over his last 16 games, the sharpshooter has averaged 11.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.8 steals in 26.3 minutes per game.
Feb 22, 2025
Working through left knee injury
Trent is listed as probable for Sunday's game against Miami due to a left knee contusion, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent played 30 minutes during the Bucks' 104-101 win over the Wizards and finished with nine points, six rebounds and two assists. He may have injured his left knee during that game, but it doesn't appear to be severe enough for him to be in real jeopardy of missing Sunday's game. Trent has averaged 12.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.9 steals over 25.9 minutes per game in February.
Feb 13, 2025
Scores 21 points Wednesday
Trent finished with 21 points (8-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, two assists and one steal in 29 minutes during Wednesday's 103-101 win over the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Trent didn't look in the early stages of the season, but it's safe to say he's entering the All-Star break on a solid run of form while evidencing an uptick in his numbers across the board. The veteran sharpshooter has scored in double digits in all but one of his previous six games, averaging 15.5 points per game and shooting 47.6 percent from three-point range over that span.
Feb 9, 2025
Season high in points Sunday
Trent finished Sunday's 135-127 win over Philadelphia with 23 points (7-20 FG, 7-15 3Pt, 2-3 FT), six rebounds, three assists and three steals in 33 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Trent led the second unit in scoring while recording a team-high three swipes in the win. The 26-year-old also attempted a season-high 20 shots from the field, en route to a season-high 23 points. Trent has logged only three outings with 20-plus points in the 2024-25 campaign, and he has now supplied multiple steals in 15 outings through 46 regular-season appearances.
Feb 7, 2025
Knocks down five triples off bench
Trent tallied 19 points (7-12 FG, 5-8 3Pt), four assists and three steals over 29 minutes during Friday's 115-110 loss to the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Trent scored 14 of his 19 points in the second quarter while making all four of his three-point attempts, and he finished the contest as the Bucks' third-leading scorer behind Bobby Portis (26) and Damian Lillard (23). Trent has scored in double digits in three straight games, coinciding with the absence of Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee).
Feb 3, 2025
Held without a point
Trent registered zero points (0-4 FG, 0-3 3Pt), four rebounds and two assists in 16 minutes during Sunday's 132-119 loss to the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Trent was playing through some hip soreness Sunday, so that could explain his poor performance. He was doing well prior to this setback, averaging 12.2 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists over 27.8 minutes per game in his previous five outings.
Feb 2, 2025
Good to go Sunday
Trent (hip) is available for Sunday's game against the Grizzlies, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent has been cleared to play Sunday after popping up on Saturday's injury report due to a left hip injury. The veteran guard has averaged 12.2 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists over 27.8 minutes per game over his last five outings.
Feb 1, 2025
Working through hip soreness
Trent (hip) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against Memphis.
ANALYSIS
Trent may have tweaked his left hip during the Bucks' 144-118 loss to the Spurs on Friday. The injury doesn't appear serious enough for him to be in jeopardy of missing Sunday's game, though it could limit his playing time off the bench if aggravated.
Jan 29, 2025
Plays well in loss
Trent ended with 11 points (4-11 FG, 3-10 3Pt), four rebounds, three assists and three steals in 27 minutes during Tuesday's 125-112 loss to Portland.
ANALYSIS
Trent matched his season-best marks in steals and assists in the loss. He's been a 10th-round fantasy value in 11 January appearances, posting averages of 11.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.9 three-pointers in 24.6 minutes per contest.
Jan 26, 2025
Flashes with 19 points from bench
Trent closed Saturday's 127-117 loss to the Clippers with 19 points (7-11 FG, 5-9 3Pt), two rebounds and two assists across 34 minutes.
ANALYSIS
The Bucks have stuck with Andre Jackson in the first unit over the past two weeks, but a slow start from the UConn product resulted in more action for Trent, who followed up a 21-point effort in his last game with another excellent total. The veteran has yet to find a night with the first unit, but his effective play following a three-game absence increases the likelihood of an expanded role.
Jan 24, 2025
Steps up with season-high 21 points
Trent registered 21 points (7-11 FG, 7-10 3Pt), one rebound and one assist across 27 minutes during Thursday's 125-96 victory over Miami.
ANALYSIS
With the team arriving home just a few short hours before tipoff due to travel issues in New Orleans, Trent caught fire from downtown and stepped up off Milwaukee's bench with a season-high 21 points and seven three-pointers. The Bucks were also without rotation regulars Khris Middleton (ankle) and AJ Green (quadriceps) on Thursday, allowing Trent to play his most minutes since a Dec. 31 win over Indiana. The sharpshooting Trent is averaging 11.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 2.8 three-pointers in 22.2 minutes while shooting a sizzling 56.9 percent from deep over his last 12 games.
Jan 18, 2025
Keeps rolling from downtown Friday
Trent (hip) closed with 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist and two steals in 25 minutes during Friday's 130-112 win over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
After missing Milwaukee's past three games with a hip injury, Trent reached double-digit scoring figures off the bench and led the Bucks' reserves with 25 minutes. The veteran sharpshooter has been a steady presence in the rotation over his last 11 games, a stretch where he's averaged 11.2 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 2.5 threes while shooting 50.9 percent from deep. Trent hasn't made a start since the early part of the season, but he remains a solid source of treys and swipes for fantasy purposes.

Says he'll play Friday
Trent (hip) said he is good to go for Friday's game versus the Raptors, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.

Jan 16, 2025
Expected to play Friday
Trent (hip) is probable for Friday's game against the Raptors, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
After three straight games on the shelf, Trent is expected to reclaim his spot in the rotation Thursday. He could potentially have some mild restrictions, however. If Trent gets the green light, guys like AJ Green and Ryan Rollins could lose some minutes.
Jan 15, 2025
Out again Wednesday
Trent (hip) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Trent will miss a third straight game due to a left hip strain. In his absence, Ryan Rollins and AJ Green are candidates for increased roles. Trent's next chance to suit up will come Friday versus Toronto.
Jan 14, 2025
Remains out Tuesday
Trent (hip) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Kings, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will remain on the shelf for a second consecutive contest due to a left hip strain, and his next chance to play will come Wednesday against the Magic. With the 25-year-old sidelined, Pat Connaughton and Ryan Rollins will likely see a bump in minutes.
Jan 13, 2025
Questionable for Tuesday
Trent (hip) is questionable to play Tuesday against Sacramento.
ANALYSIS
Trent missed the previous game Sunday due to his hip injury, and is in danger of missing Tuesday as well. With Khris Middleton (ankle) out, Delon Wright may see some extended minutes backing up Andre Jackson if Trent is sidelined.
Jan 12, 2025
Sidelined Sunday
Trent (hip) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Trent will miss Sunday's contest due to a left hip strain, and his next chance to feature will come Tuesday against the Kings. With the 25-year-old sidelined, AJ Green and Andre Jackson should see an uptick in playing time.
Jan 11, 2025
Listed questionable for Sunday
Trent is questionable for Sunday's game against the Knicks with a left hip strain.
ANALYSIS
This appears to be a new injury for Trent, but the questionable tag suggests that he's day-to-day. Meanwhile, all three of Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee), Damian Lillard (calf) and Khris Middleton (ankles) are probable to play. Through five January appearances, Trent holds averages of 9.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.2 three-pointers and 1.2 steals.
Jan 7, 2025
Solid outing in win
Trent registered 17 points (6-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist and three steals across 24 minutes during Monday's 128-104 victory over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Trent may be averaging only 9.7 points per game for the Bucks, the lowest total since the 2019-20 season with the Blazers, but he has his moments off the bench for Milwaukee. The 25-year-old is shooting his second-best percentage of his career from deep at 41 percent, which has been a valuable asset for head coach Doc Rivers and company.
Dec 31, 2024
Laces four triples in win
Trent registered 14 points (5-9 FG, 4-5 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and two steals in 29 minutes during Tuesday's 120-112 win over the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Trent hit at least four triples for just the second time in his last 14 games, continuing what has been an underwhelming campaign. After starting the first seven games of the season, Trent was moved to the bench where he has struggled to find any rhythm on the offensive end. Through 29 games, he is averaging 9.5 points and 2.1 three-pointers in 25.0 minutes per game.
Dec 21, 2024
Solid showing off bench Saturday
Trent closed Saturday's 112-101 victory over the Wizards with 15 points (6-16 FG, 3-10 3Pt), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals over 31 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Trent's seven boards established a new season high, and his performance off the bench was encouraging given he had scored in single digits in each of Milwaukee's past three outings. Since the calendar flipped to December, Trent is averaging 10.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 0.8 steals and 2.3 three-pointers in 26.1 minutes per game over eight contests. The 25-year-old sharpshooter hasn't been a part of the Bucks' starting lineup since a Nov. 4 loss to the Cavaliers, but he remains an option to make future starts if he can find his rhythm from downtown, as usual starter Taurean Prince moved to the bench for the first time this season Saturday.
Dec 15, 2024
Goes missing Saturday
Trent amassed one point (0-5 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and one rebound across 22 minutes during Saturday's 110-102 victory over the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Trent's woeful season continued Saturday, scoring a season-low one point despite playing 22 minutes. After starting the first seven games of the season, Trent was subsequently moved to the bench following a string of poor performances. Across 23 games, Trent is averaging just 8.9 points and 2.0 three-pointers in 25.8 minutes per game.
Dec 8, 2024
Sets season high in scoring in win
Trent recorded 20 points (6-10 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 5-5 FT) and one steal in 24 minutes during Sunday's 118-113 win over Brooklyn.
ANALYSIS
Trent provided Milwaukee with a nice lift off the bench Sunday, connecting on a trio of threes while ending as one of three Bucks players with 20 or more points. Trent set a new season high in scoring, his first 20-point performance of the year. Trent has connected on at least three threes in four straight outings and in nine contests this season.
Dec 5, 2024
Scores 11 points off bench
Trent ended with 11 points (4-11 FG, 3-9 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist and one block in 31 minutes during Wednesday's 119-104 loss to the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Trent seems to have adjusted well to a bench role in Doc Rivers' rotation, and the sharpshooter has responded by draining multiple threes in eight of his last 10 games. Trent is shooting an elite 50 percent from three, as well as averaging 10.9 points per game, in that span, so he remains a valuable fantasy alternative, particularly in category-based leagues.
Dec 4, 2024
Bounces back in Tuesday's win
Trent ended with 16 points (6-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, two assists and two steals across 27 minutes off the bench during Tuesday's 128-107 win over Detroit.
ANALYSIS
The 25-year-old wing had scored just four total points over the prior two games while going 0-for-5 on three-point attempts, but Trent shook off the mini-slump Tuesday. Recent stumble aside, he's looked far more comfortable on the second unit -- over his last nine contests coming off the bench, Trent is averaging 10.9 points, 2.8 boards, 2.8 threes, 1.3 steals and 1.2 assists in 25.8 minutes while shooting 53.2 percent (25-for-47) from beyond the arc.
Nov 27, 2024
Quiet with two points
Trent finished with two points (1-9 FG, 0-4 3Pt), two rebounds and three steals across 24 minutes during Tuesday's 106-103 victory over the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Trent's streak of games with double-digit points ended at six Tuesday as the shooting guard posted a dud in the win over Miami. Trent's fantasy appeal comes mostly from his perimeter shooting, as he averaged 3.7 triples in his previous six contests.
Nov 23, 2024
Scores 18 points off bench
Trent amassed 18 points (6-10 FG, 6-10 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 29 minutes during Friday's 129-117 victory over Indiana.
ANALYSIS
Trent made all of his damage from three-point range, nailing six of his 10 attempts en route to scoring a season-high mark. Trent opened the season in a starting role, and although he was demoted to the bench due to a subpar start, he seems to be trending in the right direction. He's scored in double digits in five games in a row, a span in which he's averaging 12.4 points per game while making 56.3 percent of his threes.
Nov 19, 2024
Season-high 12 points in win
Trent totaled 12 points (4-8 FG, 4-6 3Pt), one rebound and one steal across 24 minutes during Monday's 101-100 victory over the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Trent led the Bucks' bench in scoring with a season high in points. The 25-year-old has struggled in a new setting thus far, though he has scored in double digits and shot 4-for-8 from the field in each of his last three contests. Trent also added a season high in threes made, and he shot 3-for-3 from beyond the arc in the first half alone.
Nov 12, 2024
Available Tuesday
Coach Doc Rivers said that Trent (back) is available to play in Tuesday's game against the Raptors, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports
ANALYSIS
Trent will return to game action after missing the Bucks' last two games due to back spasms. The 25-year-old was benched in favor of Andre Jackson before his two-game absence, and Trent will likely continue to come off the bench until he can earn his spot back after a disastrous start to the 2024-25 campaign. Through eight regular-season outings, the guard has averaged 7.3 points while shooting 29.5 percent from the field and 23.1 percent from deep.
Nov 11, 2024
Will likely play Tuesday
Trent (back) is probable for Tuesday's game against the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Trent was benched last week in favor of Andre Jackson and then missed two games due to a back injury. The veteran guard will likely have to earn coach Doc Rivers' trust back through solid play off the bench after a rough start to the campaign. Over eight appearances this season, Trent has shot 29.5 percent from the field and 23.1 percent from deep.
Nov 10, 2024
Won't play Sunday
Trent (back) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Celtics, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will miss a second straight game due to a back injury. Andre Jackson has replaced Trent in the starting lineup, while AJ Green and Ryan Rollins have also recently seen increased roles for the struggling Bucks. Trent's next chance to suit up will come Tuesday versus Toronto.
Nov 9, 2024
Iffy for Sunday
Trent (back) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Trent is in danger of missing his second straight contest Sunday due to back spasms. With Andre Jackson (hip) also questionable, AJ Green and Pat Connaughton could receive increased playing time.
Nov 8, 2024
Not playing Friday
Trent (back) is out for Friday's game against the Knicks, Tim Bontemps of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent was limited to just eight minutes off the bench in Thursday's win over the Jazz, and while it's unclear if that was due to the back spasms he's dealing with, he's now set to miss his first game of the campaign. Andre Jackson will remain in the starting lineup with Trent sidelined.
Nov 8, 2024
Questionable for Friday
Trent is listed as questionable for Friday's game versus the Knicks due to lower back spasms, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent is in danger of missing his first game of the season Friday while dealing with back spasms. The 25-year-old guard was moved to the bench in Milwaukee's most recent outing and logged a season-low eight minutes, indicating he could be headed for a majorly reduced role even when available.
Nov 7, 2024
Won't start Thursday
Trent is out of the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Coach Doc Rivers will try out Andre Jackson in the starting lineup with Trent joining the second unit. The 25-year-old has struggled through seven regular-season outings with his new club, during which he has averaged 8.0 points, 1.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 0.9 steals while shooting only 28.8 percent from the field across 29.6 minutes per game.
Nov 7, 2024
Moving to bench
Trent isn't expected to start in Thursday's game versus the Jazz, NBA reporter Chris Haynes reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent is expected to be replaced by Andre Jackson in the starting five Thursday. Trent started in each of Milwaukee's first seven outings but has struggled mightily. Over that span, the 25-year-old guard is shooting just 28.8 percent from the field and 23.1 percent from three.
Nov 5, 2024
Held to four points
Trent logged four points (1-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and one assist in 21 minutes during Monday's 116-114 loss to Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
This was a nightmare showing for Trent as the Bucks dropped to 1-6 on the season. To make matters worse, Trent was unable to take advantage of any extra touches vacated by Giannis Antetokounmpo (thigh). In seven appearances for his new team, Trent is shooting a mere 28.8 percent from the field and 23.1 percent from beyond the arc.
Oct 25, 2024
Available to face Chicago
Trent (calf) is available for Friday's game against the Bulls, Will Gottlieb of AllCHGO.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent landed on the injury report due to a right calf contusion, but the injury ended up being minor, so the sharpshooter will remain in the Bucks' starting backcourt alongside Damian Lillard. Trent posted 11 points and shot 2-for-5 from three-point range in the season-opening win over the 76ers on Wednesday.
Oct 25, 2024
Questionable for Friday
Trent is questionable for Friday's game versus the Bulls due to a right calf strain.
ANALYSIS
Trent was a late addition to the injury report, and his status is something to monitor ahead of Friday's tipoff at 8:00 p.m. ET. If the 25-year-old is limited, or unable to play, Delon Wright and Pat Connaughton are both candidates to receive more minutes.
Oct 18, 2024
Scores 12 points Thursday
Trent posted 12 points (6-14 FG, 0-1 3Pt), two rebounds and an assist across 22 minutes in Thursday's 109-84 preseason loss to the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Trent was the only regular starter who suited up for the Bucks in this game. While he led the team in scoring, Milwaukee's overall performance was subpar -- though that can be expected, especially when seeing the lineup the coaching staff decided to start. Trent will open the 2024-25 season as the Bucks' starting shooting guard and provide another much-needed three-point threat alongside Damian Lillard.
Oct 15, 2024
Scores 10 points Monday
Trent finished with 10 points (4-11 FG, 2-6 3Pt), two rebounds and two steals across 26 minutes in Monday's 111-107 preseason win over the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Trent was one of four Bucks starters who scored in double digits Monday, and the sharpshooter continues to strengthen his position as a starter for Milwaukee once the regular season starts Oct. 23 against the 76ers. He'll provide some much-needed spacing on offense as well as a reliable three-point threat, something the Bucks have lacked in recent years.
Oct 10, 2024
Will be available vs. Lakers
Trent (elbow) will play in Thursday's preseason game against the Lakers, head coach Doc Rivers told Jackson Gross of SBNation.
ANALYSIS
Trent is dealing with an elbow injury, and while he missed practice Tuesday, he was expected to be fine, so his presence in the game against the Lakers strengthens that notion. Trent is expected to be the Bucks' starting shooting guard in the preseason opener against the 76ers on Oct. 23.
Oct 8, 2024
Not practicing, expected to be fine
Coach Doc Rivers said Trent (elbow) didn't practice Tuesday but is expected to be fine, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent hyperextended his left elbow during Sunday's preseason opener against the Pistons but may not miss any time. Trent didn't need an MRI, and Rivers suspects the shooting guard will be back in action Thursday against the Lakers, but the coach wouldn't guarantee it.
Oct 6, 2024
Ruled out with elbow injury
Trent has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's preseason game against the Pistons due to left elbow hyperextension injury, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent injured his elbow while trying to get around a screen from Jalen Duren, and the former left for the locker room shortly after. Trent registered five points (2-3 FG, 1-1 3Pt) and one rebound before leaving Sunday's game. The Bucks' next preseason game will take place Thursday against the Lakers.
Oct 2, 2024
Expected to start
Trent is expected to have a place in Milwaukee's starting lineup to open the season, Evan Sidery of Forbes.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent has an inside track to be Milwaukee's starting shooting guard, and his offensive contributions will be critical if Khris Middleton (ankles) is limited to start the season. Trent will likely produce in a similar role to Malik Beasley last year, while coming with a better defensive reputation.
Jul 16, 2024
Joins Milwaukee on one-year deal
Trent and the Bucks agreed to a one-year deal Tuesday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
ANALYSIS
Terms of the deal have yet to be reported, but given Milwaukee's cap situation, Trent likely agreed to this deal for a massive discount as he pursues a championship with the Bucks. Milwaukee's roster was in desperate need of some backcourt depth and perimeter shooting, and it's likely that Trent will play a key role for this team. Still only 25 years old, Trent holds career regular-season averages of 14.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.1 steals and 2.5 three-pointers.
Apr 14, 2024
Scores 18 in season finale
Trent racked up 18 points (6-14 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds and one assist across 23 minutes during Sunday's 118-103 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Trent was one of the few Toronto veterans who didn't get traded before the deadline. He was a regular starter during the final months of the campaign, and more often than not, he was a consistent source of scoring for a depleted Raptors team. Trent finishes the regular season having scored 20 or more points in only 13 games, and his scoring average was his lowest of his last four seasons in The Association.
Apr 12, 2024
Will play Friday
Trent (back) is available for Friday's game against the Heat, Kayla Grey of TSN reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent and Bruce Brown (knee) have both been upgraded from questionable to available. Over his last 10 appearances, Trent has averaged 22.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.9 steals in 32.8 minutes per game.
Apr 11, 2024
Deemed questionable for Friday
Trent (back) is questionable for Friday's game against Miami.
ANALYSIS
Trent missed Wednesday's game against Brooklyn due to a back issue, and it's unclear whether he'll be available for the penultimate game of the regular season. If he's cleared to play, Trent could see slightly more playing time than usual if Bruce Brown (knee) remains sidelined.
Apr 10, 2024
Out Wednesday
Trent has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Nets, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent and Bruce Brown (knee) have been ruled out, but Gradey Dick (groin) will make his return. Trent will have two more chances to suit up during the regular season, and both chances will come in Miami this weekend.
Apr 10, 2024
Questionable for Wednesday
Trent is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Nets due to a back injury, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent appeared in the last three matchups, averaging 22.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 3.0 steals in 35.3 minutes per game. However, he's dealing with a back injury ahead of the second half of a back-to-back set. If he's unavailable against Brooklyn, Bruce Brown (knee), Gradey Dick (groin) and Javon Freeman-Liberty are candidates to see increased roles.
Apr 10, 2024
Swipes four steals vs. Indiana
Trent logged 16 points (7-19 FG, 0-7 3Pt, 2-4 FT), three rebounds, four assists and four steals across 34 minutes during Tuesday's 140-123 loss to the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Trent registered four steals for the third time this season Tuesday. He's scored in double digits in 14 straight games. but his streak of 20-plus points ended at three games. Trent has seen his usage go up in the second half of the season with Toronto plagued by injuries, including to Scottie Barnes (hand), Jakob Poetl (finger) and Gradey Dick (groin). Over his last 10 games, Trent has averaged 22.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.9 steals over 32.8 minutes per game.
Apr 8, 2024
Scores 20 despite illness
Trent closed Sunday's 130-122 win over Washington with 20 points (9-16 FG, 2-4 3Pt), seven rebounds, five assists and three steals across 35 minutes.
ANALYSIS
What makes this performance even more impressive is the fact that Trent was under the weather heading into tipoff. The sharpshooter has averaged 23.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.7 steals and 2.7 three-pointers over his last six games, posting second round fantasy value in nine-category leagues during that span.
Apr 7, 2024
Will play Sunday
Trent (illness) will play Sunday against the Wizards, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent and Bruce Brown have both been upgraded from questionable to available. Over his last five appearances, Trent has averaged 24.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.4 steals in 32.8 minutes per game.
Apr 6, 2024
Questionable to play Sunday
Trent (illness) is questionable to play Sunday against the Wizards, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent finished Friday's 117-111 victory over Milwaukee with 31 points (11-22 FG, 7-15 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, three assists and two steals over 37 minutes, but his presence for Sunday's contest is in doubt due to an illness. Trent has been one of the few bright spots for the Raptors this season, averaging 23.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.4 steals and 3.5 triples across 33.7 minutes in his previous 10 games.
Apr 6, 2024
Produces 31 points
Trent finished Friday's 117-111 victory over Milwaukee with 31 points (11-22 FG, 7-15 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, three assists and two steals over 37 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Trent's 31 points were a season-high and marked his second time reaching the 30 point threshold this season. It was his first game back from a two-game absence. The 25-year-old has averaged 23.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.4 steals and 3.5 triples across 33.7 minutes in his previous 10 games.
Apr 5, 2024
Will play Friday
Trent (back) is available for Friday's game against the Bucks, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent and Ochai Agbaji (hip) are cleared to play, but Bruce Brown (knee) has been ruled out. Over his last seven appearances, Trent has averaged 22.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.4 steals in 31.7 minutes per game.
Apr 4, 2024
Questionable for Friday
Trent (back) is listed as questionable for Friday's game versus the Bucks, Aaron reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent is in danger of missing his second straight contest Friday due to back spasms. If Trent is ultimately ruled out, Garrett Temple could draw another start.
Apr 3, 2024
Late scratched
Trent won't play in Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves due to back spasms, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent's back issues must have flared up during pre-game warmups considering the guard wasn't on the injury report previously. With the Raptors having merely eight players available now, expect a heavy dose of Javon Freeman-Liberty, Jalen McDaniels and Garrett Temple on the wing. Trent's next chance to go will come Friday at Milwaukee.
Apr 3, 2024
Good to go Wednesday
Trent (rest) will play Wednesday against the Timberwolves, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent rested the first half of Toronto's back-to-back set, which was a loss to the Lakers on Tuesday, but he'll return to action Wednesday. Over his last seven appearances, Trent has averaged 22.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.4 steals in 31.7 minutes per game.
Apr 1, 2024
Won't play versus Lakers
Trent has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Lakers due to rest purposes, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will take the first night of a back-to-back set off, but RJ Barrett (conditioning/personal) and Immanuel Quickley (conditioning/personal) are expected to return following multi-game absences. Gradey Dick should retain a sizable role given Trent's absence.
Mar 31, 2024
Leading scorer in defeat
Trent ended with 23 points (10-20 FG, 3-9 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block over 32 minutes in Sunday's 135-120 loss to Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
Trent led all Raptors players in scoring while connecting on a team-high-tying trio of threes and adding a pair of steals in a balanced performance. Trent has crossed the 20-point mark in 10 games this season, including in two of his last four outings. He has connected on at least three threes in six of his last 10 appearances.
Mar 26, 2024
Leads Toronto in scoring
Trent closed with 18 points (7-17 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and two assists across 30 minutes during Monday's 96-88 loss to the Nets.
ANALYSIS
The Raptors had an abysmal showing on offense and failed to reach the 90-point plateau, but Trent was the team's top performer despite struggling with his shot overall. Trent should continue playing a significant role on offense for a depleted Toronto team. He's scored 15 or more points in nine consecutive appearances while averaging 22.1 points per game in that span.
Mar 23, 2024
Perfect from line as top scorer
Trent finished with 31 points (10-26 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 10-10 FT), four rebounds, two assists and three steals over 34 minutes during Saturday's 112-109 loss to Washington.
ANALYSIS
Trent returned after missing the previous contest due to injury, going on to lead all players in Saturday's contest in scoring while shooting a perfect mark from the free throw line and leading the way defensively with a team-high trio of steals in a losing effort. Trent matched his season high in scoring in the contest, now having surpassed the 30-point mark in three contests. Trent also set a season-high mark in free throws made, previously holding a season high of four free throws made, which he has recorded twice this year.
Mar 23, 2024
Officially available versus Wizards
Trent (back) will play in Saturday's game versus the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
No surprise here, as Trent was considered probable heading into the evening. Look for him to take on his usual responsibilities at shooting guard assuming he avoids aggravating his back injury.
Mar 23, 2024
Expected to suit up Saturday
Trent (back) is probable for Saturday's game versus the Wizards, Vivek Jacob of the Raptors' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent is expected to return to action Saturday after missing Toronto's previous contest with a back injury. If Trent is upgraded to available, he should replace Javon Freeman-Liberty in the starting five.
Mar 22, 2024
Won't play Friday
Trent (back) has been ruled out for Friday's game against Oklahoma City, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent was a late addition to the injury report and will be unable to suit up due to his lower back stiffness. It's not yet clear whether he'll be available in the second half of a back-to-back set Saturday against Washington.
Mar 22, 2024
Now deemed questionable
Trent is listed as questionable for Friday's game versus the Thunder due to lower back stiffness.
ANALYSIS
Trent's late addition to the injury report has him in danger of missing Friday's contest with a back injury. If the 24-year-old guard is ruled out, Jahmi'us Ramsey and Javon Freeman-Liberty are candidates to receive increased playing time.
Mar 21, 2024
Scores 18 in blowout loss
Trent closed Wednesday's 123-89 loss to Sacramento with 18 points (6-17 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, two assists and one steal in 32 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Trent has been one of Toronto's most reliable scoring threats in recent weeks, and he's now recorded at least 15 points in seven consecutive appearances, averaging 21.4 points while shooting 41.8 percent from deep in that span. Trent should continue having a steady role on offense for the Raptors until the end of the season, but he should experience an uptick in usage rate with names such as RJ Barrett (personal), Scottie Barnes (hand) and Immanuel Quickley (personal) all sidelined.
Mar 18, 2024
Scores 15 points in defeat
Trent provided 15 points (6-12 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, three assists, one block and three steals in 31 minutes during Sunday's 111-96 loss to the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Trent didn't have his best shooting performance from beyond the arc, but the veteran still posted a decent stat line across the board, complementing his scoring numbers with solid contributions in peripheral categories. Trent's value lies in what he can do as a scorer, however. On that note, he's averaging 18.3 points per game while shooting 37.6 percent from three-point range since the All-Star break.
Mar 16, 2024
Game-high 31 points in loss Friday
Trent provided 31 points (10-17 FG, 7-11 3Pt, 4-5 FT), four rebounds and one steal in 32 minutes during Friday's 113-103 loss to the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Trent missed the last two games due to a right groin strain, but was able to suit up and appeared to show no signs of slowing down as he led the Raptors in scoring in Friday's loss. His 31 points were a season high and the second time he's scored 30-plus points this season. Over his last five games, Trent has averaged 23.4 points on 47.8 percent shooting (including 42.3 percent from three on 10.4 3PA/G), 4.0 rebounds and 1.4 steals over 34.6 minutes per game.
Mar 15, 2024
Gets green light
Trent (groin) will play Friday against the Magic, Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent has missed back-to-back games due to a right groin strain but will return to action Friday. His presence likely means slightly fewer opportunities for Gradey Dick, Bruce Brown and Ochai Agbaji. Before he was sidelined, Trent scored in double figures in eight of his last nine appearances and averaged 17.2 points and 1.1 steals in 33.3 minutes per game.
Mar 14, 2024
Questionable for Friday
Trent (groin) is questionable for Friday's game against Orlando, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent is at risk of missing a third consecutive game due to a right groin strain. His ultimate status will have ripple effects for Toronto's rotation, as Gradey Dick, Ochai Agbaji, Jordan Nwora and Jahmi'us Ramsey all represent young options getting run for the Raptors of late.
Mar 13, 2024
Officially out
Trent (groin) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Pistons, Kayla Grey of TSN reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will miss a second straight game due to a right groin strain. Gradey Dick should draw another start, but Immanuel Quickley (hip) is slated to return from a one-game absence and should lead Toronto's offense.
Mar 13, 2024
Unlikely to play Wednesday
Trent (groin) is doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Trent has been downgraded from questionable to doubtful and will likely miss a second straight game due to a right groin strain. Gradey Dick should draw another start at shooting guard, but Immanuel Quickley (hip) is slated to return from a one-game absence and should handle elevated usage.
Mar 12, 2024
Iffy for Wednesday
Trent (groin) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Pistons, Vivek Jacob of the Raptors' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent and Immanuel Quickley (hip) are questionable after missing Monday's loss to the Nuggets, while RJ Barrett (personal) won't be available. Trent's been playing well since the All-Star break, averaging 17.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 steals in 33.3 minutes across his last nine appearances, but if he's sidelined, Gradey Dick and Javon Freeman-Liberty would be candidates for increased roles again.
Mar 11, 2024
Ruled out Monday
Trent (groin) has been ruled out of Monday's game against the Nuggets, Michael Grange of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent was a late addition to the injury report Monday, but it didn't take long for the Raptors to rule him out completely of the matchup against the reigning NBA champions. Trent's absence should open up playing time for the likes of Gradey Dick and Javon Freeman-Liberty, but his absence will be felt. The sharpshooter is averaging 17.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 steals in 33.3 minutes over nine appearances since the All-Star break. His next chance to play will come against the Pistons on Wednesday.
Mar 11, 2024
Late addition to injury report
Trent is questionable for Monday's game against the Nuggets due to a groin strain, Michael Grange of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent and Immanuel Quickley (hip) are late additions to the injury report, joining Bruce Brown (knee) as questionable, and RJ Barrett (illness) has been upgraded to probable after initially being listed as questionable. Trent has been solid since the All-Star break, averaging 17.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.1 steals in 33.3 minutes over nine appearances for a shorthanded Raptors squad.
Mar 10, 2024
Posts 23 points in loss
Trent logged 23 points (10-26 FG, 3-12 3Pt, 0-1 FT), five rebounds, three assists and two steals in 42 minutes during Saturday's 128-118 overtime loss to the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
With Scottie Barnes (hand) and RJ Barrett (illness) sidelined, Trent has taken his usual starting role and ramped up production over the past few games. Trent's floor has been unpredictable and he's definitely experienced a downturn compared to his production last season, but with the recent rash of injuries, Trent will play a critical role as the team attempts to improve its bleak playoff hopes.
Mar 8, 2024
Scores season-high mark Thursday
Trent provided 30 points (11-22 FG, 5-13 3Pt, 3-3 FT) and three rebounds over 36 minutes during Thursday's 120-113 loss to Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
Trent didn't do much outside of scoring, but it's not like he needed to chip in across other categories, mainly due to this impressive scoring display. Trent's fantasy upside is closely tied to what he can do as a scoring threat and three-point shooter, and while it'd be a stretch to imagine he'd hover around the 30-point mark on a regular basis, he's scored in double digits in all but one of his last eight appearances, a span in which he's averaging 16.5 points per game while shooting 35.9 percent from beyond the arc.
Mar 2, 2024
Struggles in loss Friday
Trent contributed nine points (4-14 FG, 1-8 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and two steals over 30 minutes during Friday's 120-105 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Trent's offensive struggles continued in the loss, shooting under 38 percent from the floor for the seventh time in the past nine games. Despite playing as a starter, Trent has not been able to find any consistency on either end of the floor. He is well outside the top 150 for the season, making him nothing more than a streaming consideration. Based on what we have seen of late, even that might be a stretch.
Feb 22, 2024
Leads Raps in scoring Thursday
Trent posted 25 points (9-12 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, two assists and one steal in 31 minutes during Thursday's 121-93 win over Brooklyn.
ANALYSIS
With Thursday's performance, Trent has now scored 20-plus points five times this season. He was incredibly efficient from the field and was responsible for five of the Raptors' 14 threes on the night. Trent is averaging 11.7 points per game while shooting a career-best 42.5 percent from three this season.
Feb 7, 2024
Will play Wednesday
Trent (back) is available for Wednesday's game against the Hornets, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent was probable for Wednesday's matchup after exiting Monday's loss to New Orleans, so it isn't very surprising to see him get the green light. Over his last five full appearances, he's averaged 16.2 points and 3.4 rebounds in 30.6 minutes per game.
Feb 6, 2024
Listed as probable
Trent (back) is probable for Wednesday's game against Charlotte, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent exited Monday's loss to New Orleans with lower back stiffness, but it appears to be a minor flare-up given that he's on track for Wednesday's game. His status will need to be monitored, but Trent has been largely healthy this season, missing just five of Toronto's 50 games thus far.
Feb 5, 2024
Suffers back stiffness
Trent will not return for the second half of Monday's game against the New Orleans due to lower back stiffness, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent posted two points (1-5 FG) and one rebound across 15 minutes of action in the first half. His back seemingly stiffened up throughout halftime, as Trent was ruled out upon the beginning of the third quarter, with Thaddeus Young starting in his place.
Jan 31, 2024
Drains six triples in victory
Trent finished Tuesday's 118-107 victory over the Bulls with 24 points (9-15 FG, 6-11 3Pt), five rebounds, one assist and one steal in 32 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Trent paced Toronto in scoring and recorded just his second performance of 20-plus points over 13 games in January. His 15 field-goal attempts and 32 minutes Tuesday each marked his highest total this month and can be at least partly attributed to the Raptors playing without RJ Barrett (knee) and Immanuel Quickley (quadriceps). Still, Trent has been on a heater from deep of late, going 27-for-52 (51.9 percent) from beyond the arc over his past seven contests.
Jan 28, 2024
Leads from deep in 15-point showing
Trent racked up 16 points (6-12 FG, 4-8 3Pt), one rebound and two steals across 26 minutes during Sunday's 126-125 loss to Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Trent led all Raptors players in threes made to go along with a pair of steals and ending as one of four players with 15 or more points in a losing effort. Trent has connected on four or more threes in 11 games, including in two of his last four outings. He has also tallied at least 13 points in three of his last four games.
Jan 17, 2024
Drains eight threes versus Miami
Trent accumulated 28 points (10-13 FG, 8-9 3Pt), two rebounds and one steal over 31 minutes during Wednesday's 121-97 win over the Heat.
ANALYSIS
His eight threes were his highest of the season and one shy of tying a career high of nine set on Jan. 31, 2022. His 28 points are his highest of the 2023-24 season, and he has reached 20-plus points three times this season. Trent is having an efficient start to the new year and is shooting 47.8 from three over in January.
Jan 17, 2024
Starting Wednesday
Trent will start Wednesday's game against the Heat, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will replace Pascal Siakam in the starting lineup following Siakam's departure to Indiana. In five starts this season, Trent is averaging 14.6 points and 2.0 steals.
Jan 17, 2024
Cleared to play
Trent (illness) is available for Wednesday's game against the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Trent was a late scratch Monday due to an illness but will shake off a questionable tag and suit up Wednesday. With Pascal Siakam off to Indiana, and Bruce Brown and Jordan Nwora still not available, Trent should see heavy usage versus Miami.
Jan 16, 2024
Listed questionable for Wednesday
Trent (illness) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Trent was a late scratch Monday due to an illness and is in danger of missing another contest. Before the aliment, Trent was also dealing with a quad issue, but he appears to have moved past that injury. If Trent is sidelined again, Dennis Schroder would be a likely candidate for extra minutes.
Jan 15, 2024
Late scratch
Trent has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Celtics due to an illness, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent shook off a questionable tag due to a quadriceps injury but will untimely miss Monday's game due to an illness. His absence should open up more playing time for Dennis Schroder. Trent's next chance to suit up will come Wednesday versus Miami.
Jan 7, 2024
Available for Sunday's game
Trent (quadriceps) is available for Sunday's game against the Warriors, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent was listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup but was expected to be cleared to play, so his status isn't particularly surprising. He's come off the bench in his last two appearances, averaging 7.0 points and 3.5 rebounds in 23.5 minutes per game.
Jan 6, 2024
Listed as questionable
Trent (quadriceps) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Warriors, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent was unable to play in Friday's game against the Kings, but he was a full participant at Saturday's practice. According to Michael Grange of Sportsnet, Trent is expected to be cleared to play for Sunday. If that's the case, Dennis Schroder will likely see a few less minutes off the bench.
Jan 5, 2024
Officially out Friday
Trent (quadriceps) will not play in Friday's game against the Kings, Michael Grange of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent was a late addition to the injury report and is day-to-day with a mild contusion. With Trent sidelined, Dennis Schroder could see a bump in playing time off the bench. Trent has seen his minutes trend down since the arrival of RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley.
Jan 5, 2024
Late addition to injury report
Trent is listed as questionable for Friday's game versus the Kings due to a left quadriceps contusion.
ANALYSIS
Trent's late addition to the injury report is a bad sign of his availability for Friday's contest. If he's ultimately ruled out, Dennis Schroder would likely see an increase in playing time off the bench for Toronto's backcourt.
Jan 1, 2024
Back in bench role
Trent isn't starting Monday's game against the Cavaliers, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will move to a bench role with Immanuel Quickley set to take over as the team's starting shooting guard. Trent has scored in double figures in each of his last four games off the bench, averaging 16.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists over this brief stretch.
Dec 27, 2023
Solid numbers in Wednesday's start
Trent ended with 12 points (4-10 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, four assists and two steals across 26 minutes during Wednesday's 132-102 victory over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Making his first start since Nov. 17, Trent didn't see a significant change in his usage as he remained in a complementary role behind Scottie Barnes and Pascal Siakam. Trent's promotion to the starting five was prompted by a hot streak from downtown that has seen the 24-year-old guard drain multiple three-pointers in six of the last seven games while averaging 14.1 points, 3.3 threes, 3.0 boards and 2.3 assists while shooting 43.4 percent (23-for-53) from beyond the arc.
Dec 27, 2023
Gets starting nod
Trent is in the starting five for Wednesday's game versus the Wizards, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will replace Dennis Schroder in the starting lineup Friday. Trent is averaging 15.5 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 32.0 minutes across his previous two starts this season.
Dec 19, 2023
Scores season-high 22 points
Trent logged 22 points (9-17 FG, 4-10 3Pt), 10 rebounds, three assists and one steal over 35 minutes during Monday's 114-99 victory over the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Trent has been long overdue for an outburst like this one, as his 22 points mark a season high. Even if you include this performance, Trent is shooting 36.8 percent from the field in seven December showings to go with averages of 9.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.9 three-pointers.
Dec 11, 2023
Struggles again in loss
Trent registered four points (2-8 FG, 0-4 3Pt), one rebound and two assists in 19 minutes during Monday's 136-130 loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Trent scored fewer than five points for the third time in the past four games, continuing his terrible season. He is barely inside the top 300 in standard leagues, averaging just 10.3 points per game on 38.4 percent shooting. After being a steady source of points, threes and steals in each of the past two seasons, it appears as though Trent may have peaked already.
Nov 21, 2023
Early season struggles continue
Trent racked up three points (1-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt) and one assist over 21 minutes during Tuesday's 126-107 loss to Orlando.
ANALYSIS
Trent was ordinary in the loss Tuesday, ending with just three points in 21 minutes. After a pair of promising campaigns, his production has fallen off a cliff to begin the 2023-24 season. Despite what could be a favorable situation, his lack of assertiveness and limited skill set means he should be viewed as a points and threes streamer, at best.
Nov 19, 2023
Back to bench
Trent won't start Sunday's game against the Pistons, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
With O.G. Anunoby (finger) sidelined, Trent drew a spot start Friday, posting 14 points (4-9 FG), two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 31 minutes during a loss to Boston. However, Anunoby has been cleared to return and will reclaim his usual spot in the starting five. As a reserve (seven appearances), Trent has averaged 9.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals in 26.1 minutes per game.
Nov 18, 2023
Scores 14 as starter
Trent posted 14 points (4-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 31 minutes during Friday's 108-105 loss to Boston.
ANALYSIS
O.G. Anunoby (finger) missed his third straight game, so it was Trent who got the start Friday after he missed the past few games with a foot injury. He's been relatively quiet compared to previous seasons, as he came into Friday's game with averages of 10.4 points, 2.5 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.9 three-pointers. If Anunoby misses more time, Trent is a clear beneficiary.
Nov 17, 2023
Good to go against Boston
Trent (foot) is available for Friday's game versus the Celtics, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent has been upgraded from probable to available Friday after missing the previous three games with a foot injury. The 24-year-old guard is averaging 10.4 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 27.1 minutes across his first eight appearances this season.
Nov 16, 2023
Returns to practice, iffy Friday
Trent (foot) participated in Thursday's practice and is questionable for Friday's game versus the Celtics, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent has missed Toronto's last three contests with a foot injury but will have his status upgraded to questionable Friday. If he's able to return, Malachi Flynn and Gradey Dick will likely see a decrease in their minutes.
Nov 15, 2023
Officially ruled out
Trent (foot) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Celtics, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent was doubtful for Wednesday's matchup, so it isn't very surprising to see him officially ruled out for a third consecutive game. Gradey Dick, Jalen McDaniels and Malachi Flynn could see increased run once again Wednesday.
Nov 14, 2023
Doubtful for Wednesday
Trent (foot) is doubtful for Wednesday's contest against the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Trent has missed back-to-back games due to plantar fasciitis in his right foot and will likely be sidelined for a third consecutive contest Wednesday. Gradey Dick, Jalen McDaniels and Malachi Flynn are candidates for increased roles until Trent is cleared to suit up again.
Nov 13, 2023
Won't play Monday
Trent (foot) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Wizards, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent continues to deal with plantar fasciitis in his right foot and will be sidelined for a second consecutive matchup Monday. Gradey Dick, Jalen McDaniels and Malachi Flynn could see increased playing time once again.
Nov 12, 2023
Listed as questionable
Trent (foot) is questionable for Monday's game against the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Trent missed Saturday's loss to Boston due to plantar fasciitis in his right foot and may miss a second straight contest Monday. However, the backup guard was initially listed as doubtful for Saturday's matchup, so he's at least made a slight improvement. If Trent is ruled out again, Gradey Dick and Jalen McDaniels would be candidates for increased playing time.
Nov 11, 2023
Inactive Saturday
Trent (foot) will not play Saturday against Boston, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports
ANALYSIS
Trent is dealing with plantar fasciitis in his right foot. Saturday will mark Trent's first absence of the season, with Gradey Dick and Jalen McDaniels being likely candidates to absorb his workload.
Nov 11, 2023
Unlikely to play against Boston
Trent is listed as doubtful for Saturday's game versus the Celtics due to right foot plantar fasciitis.
ANALYSIS
Trent will likely miss his first game of the season Saturday due to a nagging foot injury. Gradey Dick and Garrett Temple are candidates to receive increased minutes in his absence.
Nov 9, 2023
Drills season-high four threes
Trent provided 16 points (6-11 FG, 4-8 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 26 minutes during Wednesday's 127-116 win over the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Trent's role and production have been unstable to start the year despite Toronto's need for three-point shooting. He's not a 12-team must-roster fantasy player at the moment, and he's mostly useful for managers who need to stream in some threes with steals potential.
Oct 31, 2023
Falls flat Monday
Trent recorded three points (1-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-3 FT), one rebound, two assists and one steal over 19 minutes during Monday's 99-91 loss to Portland.
ANALYSIS
With O.G. Anunoby (leg) sidelined, Trent got a spot start Saturday against the 76ers and fared well, scoring 17 points (6-16 FG) in 33 minutes. However, Anunoby returned to action Monday, sending Trent back to a bench role. In three games off the bench this season, Trent has played 27, 36 and 19 minutes, respectively. Last year, he started 44 of 66 appearances and averaged 32.1 minutes per game. Even with Fred VanVleet out of town, it appears that Trent's reserve role will remain inconsistent.
Oct 30, 2023
Back in bench role
Trent isn't starting Monday's game against the Trail Blazers, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent received a chance to start Saturday's contest against the 76ers with O.G. Anunoby out (leg), and he fared well by pouring in 17 points and adding two rebounds and a steal in 33 minutes. Trent logged 27 and 36 minutes off the bench in his first two games of the 2023-24 campaign, so he should still play a big role in Toronto's rotation even with Anunoby back.
Oct 28, 2023
Starting against 76ers
Trent is in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against the 76ers, Doug Smith of the Toronto Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent slides into the starting lineup in place of the injured O.G. Anunoby (leg). Trent is coming off a solid outing against the Bulls on Friday, racking up 16 points and five rebounds across 36 minutes.
Oct 24, 2023
Good to go Wednesday
Trent (rest) isn't on the injury report for Wednesday's game versus the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Trent is set to play in Wednesday's season opener after sitting out Toronto's preseason finale for rest purposes. The 24-year-old guard is expected to be one of the Raptor's first options off the bench in the backcourt.
Oct 20, 2023
Out for rest
Trent won't play in Friday's preseason finale against the Wizards due to rest purposes, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent was a late scratch after it was reported Toronto would have its entire roster available. There's no injury to report, so the backup shooting guard should be available for the regular-season opener against Minnesota on Oct. 25.
Oct 16, 2023
Expected to come off bench
Trent expects to operate off the bench during the 2023-24 campaign, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent started 69 of 70 appearances in 2021-22 and 44 of 66 games in 2022-23. After the departure of Fred VanVleet this offseason, many expected Trent to get more starts this season, but it appears Dennis Schroder will replace VanVleet as the starting point guard, while Trent leads the second unit. This may actually be beneficial to Trent's fantasy value, as he'll presumably handle more usage than he would with the starters. As a reserve last year, Trent averaged 14.8 points (46/40/78 shooting splits), 2.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.5 steals in 27.1 minutes.
Jun 20, 2023
Will opt into player option
Trent will opt into his $18.5 million player option for the 2023-24 season, Chris Haynes of Turner Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Haynes also relays that Trent wants to remain in Toronto past next season, so the two sides will continue to work on a long-term deal. The shooting guard has averaged at least 17 points per game in each of his first two full campaigns with the Raptors and has shot 38.4 percent from three during his five-year career.
Apr 12, 2023
Moves back to bench
Trent isn't in the starting five for Wednesday's game versus the Bulls, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will be replaced by OG Anunoby in the starting lineup Wednesday. Trent will likely be one of Toronto's first options off the bench against Chicago. He averaged 12.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals in 26.2 minutes across his previous 10 appearances before starting in Toronto's regular-season finale.
Apr 10, 2023
Leads charge in Sunday's win
Trent registered 23 points (7-13 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 5-5 FT), one rebound and three assists over 27 minutes during Sunday's 121-105 victory over Milwaukee.
ANALYSIS
He led the Raptors in scoring in the regular-season finale, as the team rested some key veterans ahead of the play-in tournament. It's Trent's best scoring effort since Mar. 16, and after missing seven games late in the season due to back spasms, the 24-year-old appears healthy heading into Wednesday's must-win tilt against the Bulls.
Apr 9, 2023
Starting against Bucks
Trent is in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Bucks, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent moves into the starting lineup with Fred VanVleet (rest), Pascal Siakam (rest) and OG Anunoby (ankle) all sidelined for the regular-season finale. Trent has made 43 starts this season, averaging 18.6 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.
Apr 6, 2023
Comes up empty in return
Trent (elbow/back) posted zero points (0-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt) and two rebounds across 16 minutes in Wednesday's 97-93 loss to the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Though he returned to the court following a seven-game absence, Trent may have wished he took another night off to recover from his pair of injuries. He was a minus-5 during his time on the court and was held off the scoresheet for the second time this season, with his other zero-point outing coming in a 21-minute appearance March 10. Trent could see a slight uptick in playing time over the Raptors' final two games of the regular season, but he'll be difficult to recommend as a streaming option unless Toronto decides to hold out multiple starters Friday in Boston or Sunday versus Milwaukee.
Apr 5, 2023
Will return Wednesday
Trent (elbow/back) is available for Wednesday's game against the Celtics, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent has been cleared to suit up following seven straight absences due to elbow and back issues. Before he was sidelined, the sharpshooter averaged 14.6 points in 28.1 minutes over his previous eight appearances, but he may be limited in his first game action in over two weeks.
Apr 5, 2023
Questionable Wednesday
Trent (elbow/back) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Celtics, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent has missed the last seven games due to elbow and back issues, and it's unclear whether he'll be able to return to game action Wednesday. If he's available for any of the Raptors' final three regular-season games, it's possible he faces a minutes restriction.
Apr 4, 2023
Officially out Tuesday
Trent (back) will not play Tuesday against the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Trent was considered doubtful before the Raptors ruled him out in their final injury report. Trent was able to practice Monday, so he should be considered day-to-day going forward. His next chance to play will be Wednesday against Boston.
Apr 4, 2023
Unlikely to play Tuesday
Trent (back) remains a game-time decision, but he's now considered doubtful for Tuesday's game against the Hornets, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent was initially listed as questionable, but it appears he'll miss a seventh straight game due to back spasms. His next chance to suit up will come Wednesday in Boston, but he can likely be considered questionable, at best, for that contest.
Apr 3, 2023
Questionable against Charlotte
Trent (back) is questionable against Charlotte on Tuesday, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent has missed the past six games for Toronto, but he was able to play a game with the reserves at Monday's practice. Coach Nick Nurse also said that he would like to see Trent take the floor Tuesday, even though he'd likely have a minutes cap.
Apr 2, 2023
Still out
Trent (elbow, back) will not play in Sunday's game against the Hornets, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will miss a sixth consecutive contest as he battles an elbow injury and more recently back spasms. With Will Barton (ankle) also sidelined, Jeff Dowtin and Malachi Flynn could see expanded roles. Trent's next chance to play comes Tuesday in a rematch with Charlotte in the opening leg of a back-to-back set.
Apr 1, 2023
Could return Sunday
Trent (elbow) is questionable for Sunday's matchup at Charlotte, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Toronto's sharpshooter has missed five straight games, initially due to an elbow issue but now back spasms. He's come off the bench in 10 straight games but has still averaged 14.0 points on 40.7 percent shooting from deep -- a necessary floor spacer in coach Nick Nurse's offense. If he returns Sunday, fewer minutes will be available for Jeff Dowtin and Will Barton.
Mar 31, 2023
Won't play against Philadelphia
Trent (elbow) is out for Friday's game versus the 76ers, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will miss his fifth straight game Friday after being downgraded from questionable to out with right elbow soreness. His next chance to suit up is Sunday's matchup with Charlotte.

Questionable Friday
Trent (elbow) is questionable for Friday's game against Philadelphia, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent has missed the last four games due to his elbow injury, and it's unclear whether he'll be able to suit up against the 76ers. If he's out, Jeff Dowtin and Malachi Flynn should continue to see increased run.
Mar 28, 2023
Officially ruled out
Trent (elbow) has been ruled out for Tuesday's matchup in Miami, Kayla Grey of TSN reports.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Trent has been downgraded from doubtful to out and will miss a fourth straight game. Will Barton (ankle) also remains out, so Jeff Dowtin and Malachi Flynn should continue garnering increased roles.
Mar 28, 2023
Downgraded to doubtful
Trent (elbow) has been downgraded to doubtful for Tuesday's action against the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Trent is expected to miss a fourth straight game Tuesday, with his next opportunity to play arriving Friday against the 76ers. In his presumed absence, Jeff Dowtin and Malachi Flynn should continue receiving extra run.
Mar 27, 2023
Questionable Tuesday
Trent (elbow) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Heat, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent has missed the last three games due to a sore right elbow, but he was a limited participant at Monday's practice session, signaling that he's trending in the right direction. While it's not yet clear whether he'll be available Tuesday, it wouldn't be surprising to see him back in action soon.
Mar 27, 2023
Limited at practice Monday
Trent (elbow) was a limited participant during Monday's practice, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent has missed three straight games due to right elbow soreness but appears to be getting closer to a return. However, he was limited to the non-contact parts of Monday's practice, so he still has a few hurdles to clear before Toronto can clear him for game action. His status for Tuesday's matchup against the Heat will likely surface when the the Raptors release their next injury report, which should drop sometime Monday afternoon.
Mar 26, 2023
Ruled out Sunday
Trent (elbow) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Wizards, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports.

Mar 24, 2023
Unavailable Friday
Trent (elbow) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Pistons, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent was questionable ahead of Friday's matchup and will be unavailable for a second consecutive game due to his sore right elbow. Will Barton and Malachi Flynn should continue to see increased run for the Raptors on Friday.
Mar 23, 2023

ANALYSIS
Trent was unable to practice Thursday and is in danger of missing a second consecutive game due to his sore right elbow. Scottie Barnes (wrist) is also questionable after missing practice Thursday, and Will Barton would likely continue to see increased run if either player is sidelined Friday.
Mar 22, 2023
Out Wednesday
Trent (elbow) will not play in Wednesday's game against the Pacers, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent was a late addition to the injury report Wednesday with right elbow soreness and will end up joining Scottie Barnes (wrist) and Precious Achiuwa (hamstring) on the sidelines. Malachi Flynn, Will Barton and Thaddeus Young are likely candidates for expanded roles. Trent's next chance to take the floor will come Friday against Detroit.
Mar 22, 2023
Questionable Wednesday
Trent is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Pacers due to right elbow stiffness.
ANALYSIS
Trent was a late addition to the Raptors' injury report due to his elbow issue, and it's unclear whether he'll be able to suit up against Indiana. He's come off the bench in his last 10 appearances and has averaged 14.0 points and 3.2 rebounds in 27.1 minutes per game during that time.
Mar 19, 2023
All-around performance in win
Trent finished Saturday's 122-107 victory over the Timberwolves with 19 points (8-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, three assists and five steals across 29 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Trent was efficient from the field en route to a third straight game in double figures and showcased his defensive prowess by recording a season-high five steals. The sharpshooter has been relegated to a reserve role with Toronto opting for a taller starting lineup recently, and his production has been sporadic, posting 13.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.4 assists in 26.4 minutes over his past nine appearances off the bench.
Mar 17, 2023
Finally gets going Thursday
Trent logged 23 points (8-12 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, two assists and two steals in 35 minutes during Thursday's 128-111 victory over the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Trent finally landed some shots Thursday, reversing a recent trend that had seen him dropped in a number of competitive leagues. This is the kind of performance we were seeing on a regular basis earlier in the season, and one that managers would love to see more of moving forward. Perhaps he can build some momentum going forward, meaning managers should now view him as a hold for at least another game or two.
Mar 9, 2023
Inefficient in loss
Trent produced seven points (2-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal across 24 minutes during Wednesday's 108-100 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Trent's inconsistency continues, as he has scored fewer than 10 points in three of his last six outings. His production since being removed from the starting lineup has decreased by 6.4 points, 0.7 assists, 0.7 steals and 11.0 minutes per game.
Mar 4, 2023
Scores game-high 26 points
Trent supplied 26 points (11-18 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 0-1 FT), five rebounds, four assists and two steals across 35 minutes during Saturday's 116-109 overtime win over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Trent bounced back after a poor showing Thursday, scoring a game-high 26 points, and adding a pair of steals for good measure. Despite moving back to the bench, Trent's ROS value should be just fine. In fact, there is a case to be made for his value increasing following the change in role, given he isn't sharing the floor with the likes of Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet.
Feb 28, 2023
Provides spark in return to bench
Trent racked up 19 points (6-13 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, one assist and two steals in 28 minutes during Tuesday's 104-98 victory over the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Trent moved from the starting lineup back to the bench Tuesday, leading the Raptors second unit in scoring, rebounds and steals while finishing as one of five Toronto players with a double-digit scoring total. Trent has tallied 15 or more points with five or more rebounds on 10 occasions this season.
Feb 28, 2023
Moves to bench
Trent isn't in the starting five for Tuesday's game versus the Bulls, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Fred VanVleet will replace Trent in the starting lineup Tuesday. The 23-year-old guard will come off the bench for the first time since Dec. 29.
Feb 26, 2023
Shoots poorly in loss
Trent notched seven points (2-13 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and one assist in 27 minutes during Sunday's 118-93 loss to the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
In his previous 16 contests, Trent had pumped in 19.6 points per game. But Sunday was the first time since Jan. 14 that he failed to hit double figures. He had his second worst shooting night of the season at 15.4 percent from the floor. Fred VanVleet, Toronto's leader in assists, has missed the last three games for personal reasons. But Trent's assist numbers have not seen a boost with six helpers in the last three games.
Feb 24, 2023
Pops for 18 points Thursday
Trent finished Thursday's 115-110 victory over the Pelicans with 18 points (6-16 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 3-3 FT), one assist and two steals in 37 minutes.
ANALYSIS
After missing two straight games due to a calf injury, Trent was back on the court Thursday, shifting straight into the starting lineup. It remains to be seen whether he will stick in that role, given Fred VanVleet was a late scratch due to personal reasons. Although his overall value is tied to only a few categories, Trent should be able to maintain 12-team value ROS, no matter his assigned position in the rotation.
Feb 23, 2023
Starting Thursday
Trent will be part of the first unit for Thursday's game against the Pelicans, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent missed the Raptors' last two games with a calf injury but will regain his starting role. With Fred VanVleet (personal) out of the starting lineup and listed as questionable for Thursday's tilt, Trent could be tasked with a higher usage rate if VanVleet doesn't play.
Feb 22, 2023
Officially available Thursday
Trent (calf) isn't on the injury report for Thursday's game versus the Pelicans, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will return to the lineup Thursday after missing the previous two games with a calf injury. He is averaging 18.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.6 steals in 37.0 minutes across his last five appearances.
Feb 21, 2023
Likely to play Thursday
Trent (calf) participated in Tuesday's practice and is expected to play Thursday against the Pelicans according to Josh Lewenberg of TSN Sports.
ANALYSIS
Trent missed the final two games before the All-Star break but should be ready to hit the ground running Thursday. The Raptors will be looking to get back into the mix for a playoff spot and Trent will be a big part of their rotation as per usual.
Feb 14, 2023
Will miss second straight game
Trent (calf) has been ruled out for Tuesday's matchup against the Magic, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will miss back-to-back contests due to a left calf strain heading into the All-Star break. His next chance to suit up will come Feb. 23 against the Pelicans. In his absence, the Raptors will presumably role out their big lineup featuring Fred VanVleet, Scottie Barnes, Pascal Siakam, Precious Achiuwa and Jakob Poeltl.
Feb 13, 2023
Questionable Tuesday
Trent is questionable for Tuesday against the Magic with a left calf strain according to Josh Lewenberg of TSN Sports.
ANALYSIS
Trent did not practice Monday after sitting out Sunday against the Pistons. The Raptors used a jumbo lineup in that game with Trent on the sidelines, and Malachi Flynn saw 18 minutes off the bench and scored five points with two rebounds, one assist and one three-pointer.
Feb 12, 2023
Sitting Sunday with calf strain
Trent has been ruled out in advance of Sunday's game against the Pistons due to a left calf strain, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Even before OG Anunoby (wrist) was sidelined in late January, the Raptors were already sorely lacking in guard and wing depth, and Trent's absence Sunday will likely result in Toronto leaning even more heavily on big-heavy lineups. The news of Trent's injury comes out of nowhere, as he played 39 minutes in Toronto's previous game Friday against the Jazz and didn't appear on the injury report leading up to Sunday's 3 p.m. ET tipoff. Unless he's able to practice Monday in some capacity, Trent will most likely miss the Raptors' final game before the All-Star break Tuesday versus the Magic.
Feb 3, 2023
Gets hot in victory
Trent finished Friday's 117-111 win over the Rockets with 29 points (10-15 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 4-4 FT), one rebound and two assists over 38 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Trent had the hot hand Friday, pouring in five triples en route to 29 points. Unfortunately, he added very little outside of those two columns, souring what was a strong offensive outing. The Raptors are very top-heavy when it comes to their rotation, meaning Trent should be able to maintain top-100 value moving forward, albeit with a few bumps in the road.
Jan 31, 2023
Mixed results in loss
Trent logged 21 points (8-19 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one steal over 37 minutes during Monday's 114-106 loss to the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Trent wasn't all that efficient from the field, but he still extended his double-digit scoring streak to nine games. During that stretch, the fifth-year guard is averaging 20.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.6 steals in 37.8 minutes per game while shooting 47.3 percent from the field and 40.5 percent from three.
Jan 23, 2023
Catches fire from three
Trent amassed 24 points (9-17 FG, 6-10 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals over 35 minutes before fouling out of Sunday's 125-116 victory over the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Trent did the majority of his scoring in this one from beyond the arc, tying his best mark of the season with six made threes. He's now reached the 20-point threshold in three of his last four contests, and he's also collected a block in three straight appearances.
Jan 22, 2023
Scores well, brings defense in loss
Trent finished with 22 points (9-17 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds, three assists, three steals and two blocks in 38 minutes in Saturday's 106-104 loss to the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
With Fred VanVleet (ribs) sitting out Saturday and OG Anunoby (ankle) exiting the contest early, Trent cleared 15 field-goal attempts for the third game in a row and was generally efficient. Perhaps more notable than his scoring contributions were his outputs in the two defensive categories. While the two blocks aren't something that Trent will frequently replicate -- he's averaging just 0.3 per game this season -- he remains an elite source of steals. He's recorded at least one steal in each of his last 15 games and is averaging 2.1 per game over that stretch.
Jan 18, 2023
Versatile contributor Tuesday
Trent logged 28 points (10-19 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, two assists and four steals across 43 minutes during Tuesday's 130-122 loss to Milwaukee.
ANALYSIS
Trent was held to a single-digit scoring total Saturday against Atlanta, but he's bounced back nicely over his two appearances since then. He's played at least 42 minutes in back-to-back outings, and he logged his highest scoring total since Jan. 2 during Tuesday's defeat. Over his 10 appearances since rejoining the starting lineup, the 24-year-old has averaged 23.1 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.2 steals in 37.4 minutes per game.
Jan 16, 2023
Gets back on track
Trent finished Monday's 123-121 overtime win over the Knicks with 18 points (6-14 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 42 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Trent did a good chunk of his damage from beyond the arc in this one, as he scored 12 of 18 points from deep. The Duke product was held to seven points in his last game Saturday against the Hawks, but he managed to bounce back Monday. He's put together an impressive stretch of late by scoring 18 or more points in 10 of his last 11 contests.
Jan 11, 2023
Productive in Tuesday's win
Trent supplied 24 points (6-14 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 8-8 FT), two rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals over 31 minutes during Tuesday's 132-120 win over the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Since moving back into the starting lineup six games ago, Trent has caught fire, averaging 26.5 points, 3.8 boards, 3.7 threes, 2.0 steals and 1.8 assists over that stretch while shooting 40.0 percent (22-for-55) from beyond the arc. With the Raptors running out of time to turn their season around, Trent's name has consistently come up in trade rumors, and the fifth-year guard's value seems to be peaking at the right time if the team does decide to move him.
Jan 7, 2023
Continues to shine offensively
Trent amassed 27 points (8-16 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 7-8 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 42 minutes during Friday's 112-108 loss to New York.
ANALYSIS
Trent has been an absolute stud offensively for the Raptors of late, but his play has kicked into a new gear since being promoted to a starting role with four straight outings of at least 22 points. He's averaging 26.0 points per game in a six-game stretch in which he has scored at least 20 points each time out, but he's also doing it with efficiency since he's making 49.1 percent of his shots and 44.2 percent of his threes in that span.
Jan 5, 2023
Extends scoring streak
Trent contributed 22 points (8-23 FG, 3-12 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five rebounds, three assists and two steals across 45 minutes during Wednesday's 104-101 overtime loss to Milwaukee.
ANALYSIS
Trent has scored at least 20 points in five games in a row and has been performing well as a starter, averaging 29.7 points per contest and shooting 47.6 percent from the field in his last three outings with the first unit. He opened the season in the starting lineup and moved to a bench role in late November, but given his recent performances, there's no reason to think his time as a starter will come to an end any time soon.
Jan 3, 2023
Another big scoring effort
Trent finished with 32 points (11-18 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five rebounds, three assists and two steals over 40 minutes during Monday's 122-114 loss to the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
That's now back-to-back games with more than 30 points for Trent, and four straight with 20-plus. The streaky wing missed four games just before Christmas with a quadriceps strain, but he's been productive on either side of his absence, averaging 20.8 points, 3.1 threes, 2.5 boards, 1.7 steals and 1.4 assists in his last 10 contests while shooting 51.7 percent from the floor, 44.9 percent from three-point range and 85.3 percent from the free-throw line.
Dec 31, 2022
Explodes for 35 points Friday
Trent ended with 35 points (11-22 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 9-9 FT), five rebounds, two assists, one block and three steals over 39 minutes during Friday's 113-104 victory over the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Trent has been producing well as a starter this season, but he had one of his best performances of the campaign Friday, as he carried the Raptors to victory while tying his season-high mark in scoring. Toronto has been shuffling its starting lineup in recent games, but there's a chance Trent stays in the first unit when the Raptors take on the Pacers on Jan. 2. He's scored at least 20 points in three games in a row.
Dec 30, 2022
Starting Friday
Trent is in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Suns, Doug Smith of the Toronto Star reports.
ANALYSIS
The Raptors continue to shuffle around their starting unit, and Trent will be the beneficiary of it Friday. The shooting guard has played a reserve role in his previous three games. He is averaging 16.4 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists across 31.9 minutes in 18 games as a starter.
Dec 28, 2022
Scores 20 points off bench
Trent supplied 20 points (8-16 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, one assist, one block and one steal in 30 minutes during Tuesday's 124-113 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Trent missed four straight games between Dec. 16 and Dec. 21, and he looked a step slow in Toronto's win at Cleveland prior to Christmas Day, but he looked like his old self in this one. He's certainly capable of putting up solid scoring numbers on a game-to-game basis, but the fact that he keeps coming off the bench puts a hard cap on his fantasy upside. Still, he's managed to become a reliable asset since he averages15.8 points per game while shooting 47.7 percent from the field across nine December appearances.
Dec 23, 2022
Not starting Friday
Trent will come off the bench in Friday's affair with the Cavaliers, Vivek Jacob of the Raptors' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will come off the bench Friday after missing four games with quad soreness. Although there has been no announcement of any limitations for Trent, his absence in the starting lineup could indicate that he will not receive his usual allotment of minutes.
Dec 23, 2022
Receives green light Friday
Trent (quadriceps) will play in Friday's meeting with the Cavaliers, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent has missed four contests with left quad soreness but will take the floor Friday in Cleveland. His return will likely bump Juancho Hernangomez back to the bench.
Dec 22, 2022
Questionable against Cleveland
Trent (quadriceps) is questionable to play in Friday's matchup with the Cavaliers, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent is questionable to miss his fifth straight game due to left quadriceps soreness. He will have extra time to heal for Tuesday's game versus the Clippers if he can't go Friday.
Dec 21, 2022
Ruled out
Trent (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Knicks, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS

Dec 20, 2022
Considered questionable
Trent (quadriceps) is questionable for Wednesday's matchup against the Knicks, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent has missed three straight games due to a quadriceps injury and is in danger of missing a fourth. Malachi Flynn, who's posted 11.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists in each of Trent's previous three absence, would be in store for another hefty workload off the bench if Trent remains out.
Dec 19, 2022
Will miss third straight
Trent (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Monday's matchup against the 76ers, Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will miss a third straight game due to a quadriceps injury. Malachi Flynn, who's posted 14.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 32.5 minutes during Trent's first two absences, figures to garner another sizable role against Philadelphia.
Dec 19, 2022
Officially listed as questionable
Trent (quadriceps) is questionable for Monday's matchup against the 76ers, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent has missed two straight contests due to a quadriceps injury but could return to action Monday. His availability will have a sizable impact on Malachi Flynn, who's posted 14.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists across 32.5 minutes during Trent's recent two-game absence.
Dec 18, 2022
Not playing Sunday
Trent (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Warriors, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Toronto's head coach sounded discouraged by the lack of progress on Trent's rehab, and it remains to be seen when he'll be back on the team. His next chance to play will come Monday at the 76ers, and his absence probably means Malachi Flynn will see plenty of minutes once again.
Dec 17, 2022
Iffy for Sunday
Trent (quadriceps) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Trent was a late addition to the injury report prior for their last game and ultimately missed the contest. His absence opened up 28 minutes for Malachi Flynn, who will likely see significant minutes once more if Trent sits.
Dec 16, 2022
Won't play Friday
Trent was a late addition to the injury report and will miss Friday's game versus the Nets due to left quad soreness, Chris Milholen of NetsDaily.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent's absence exacerbates a lack of backcourt depth, with OG Anunoby (hip) already sidelined due to a hip issue for another week or so. Without Trent in the mix, Dalano Banton and Malachi Flynn -- who coach Nick Nurse suggested would see some playing time Friday -- should get some additional run.
Dec 11, 2022
Scores 24 in start
Trent chipped in 24 points (8-18 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one steal over 43 minutes during Sunday's 111-99 loss to the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Trent returned to the starting lineup Sunday after coming off the bench in the last seven games. Eleven of his 24 points came in the third quarter as he made three of his four shot attempts and both three-point tries. The 23-year-old is averaging 16.7 points as a starter and 18.3 percent as a reserve and has scored much more efficiently when coming off the bench.
Dec 11, 2022
Starting Sunday
Trent will start Sunday's game against the Magic, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
OG Anunoby (hip) will miss his first game of the season Sunday, which will allow Trent to enter the starting lineup for the first time since Nov. 26. Trent started the started his first 16 appearances, posting 16.3 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.6 steals in 31.6 minutes during that stretch.
Dec 10, 2022
Another 20-point effort in loss
Trent chipped in 20 points (8-16 FG, 4-10 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and two steals in 35 minutes during Friday's 113-109 loss to Orlando.
ANALYSIS
Trent dropped at least 20 points for the second time in his last three games, adding a pair of steals for the third consecutive time. Despite being moved to the bench, Trent has been able to put up top-85 value over the past two weeks, remaining viable across all formats. The Raptors certainly need his scoring on a nightly basis, meaning he should remain relevant, even in a bench role.
Dec 6, 2022
Shines off bench Monday
Trent notched 20 points (7-10 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), one rebound, one assist and two steals in 26 minutes during Monday's 116-110 loss to Boston.
ANALYSIS
Trent came off the bench for the fifth game in a row and delivered an impressive performance, missing just three of his attempts from the field and clearing the 15-point mark for the third time across his last four outings. He's averaging 18.0 points while shooting 51.7 percent from the field and 43.8 percent from deep in his five appearances off the bench, something that's new for him since he'd been a regular starter for the first five weeks of the campaign.
Dec 5, 2022
Won't start after all
Trent is coming off the bench Monday night against the Celtics, Doug Smith of the Toronto Star reports.
ANALYSIS

Dec 5, 2022
Back in starting lineup
Trent will return to the starting five for Monday's game against Boston.
ANALYSIS
The Raptors experimented with bringing Trent off the bench for the last four games, but they'll revert back to their regular lineup Monday. Trent will reclaim his spot at shooting guard next to Fred VanVleet, while OG Anunoby, Scottie Barnes and Pascal Siakam start up front. Over his last nine contests, Trent is shooting just 26.4 percent from downtown on 5.9 attempts per game.
Dec 4, 2022
Bottoms out in Saturday's win
Trent contributed five points (2-10 FG, 1-7 3Pt), one rebound and three assists across 28 minutes during Saturday's 121-108 victory over Orlando.
ANALYSIS
Coming off a pair of decent performances, Trent fell in a heap Saturday, scoring a season-low five points. It appears as though the coaching staff has made the decision to shift Trent to the bench, allowing the team to run with a more traditional starting lineup. It remains to be seen what kind of long-term impact this will have on Trent's overall value, given the mixed bag thus far. He remains a hold in standard formats but the minutes are something to keep an eye on moving forward.
Dec 1, 2022
Season-high 35 points off bench
Trent finished with 35 points (12-20 FG, 6-11 3Pt, 5-7 FT), one rebound, one assist and three steals across 33 minutes during Wednesday's 126-108 loss to New Orleans.

The Raptors guard also hit a team and season-high six three-pointers in the contest while recording at least three steals for the third time in his last four games. Trent continues to play a significant role off the bench for Toronto, though it was his first game with 20 or more points since Nov. 2.
Nov 28, 2022
All-around showing leads bench
Trent ended Monday's 100-88 victory over the Cavaliers with 14 points (4-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-5 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one steal in 26 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Trent came off the bench for the second time in his Raptors career during Monday's victory, leading the second unit in scoring and rebounding. Trent set a new season-high rebounding total in the game, posting his 15th double-digit point total of the year.
Nov 28, 2022
Coming off bench
Trent will play off the bench Monday against the Cavaliers, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Nick Nurse usually don't offer much reasoning for his lineup decisions, but he'll opt to shift Trent to the bench for just the second time in his Raptors career. The Duke product has struggled shooting the ball of late -- 2-of-20 from three over his last four games -- so it's possible Nurse is looking to spark something by removing him from the starting five.
Nov 24, 2022
Puts up 19 points in loss
Trent contributed 19 points (6-19 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 6-9 FT), one rebound, three assists and three steals in 31 minutes during Wednesday's 112-98 loss to the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Trent didn't show any signs of rust despite missing three games due to a hip injury and an illness, and he was one of Toronto's most productive players in a game where they looked overmatched. Trent has been a consistent scoring alternative for the Raptors, but his recent numbers have not looked very good and he's reached the 15-point mark just twice across his last seven games.
Nov 22, 2022
Not on injury report
Trent (illness) is off the injury report for Wednesday's game against the Nets.
ANALYSIS
After three absences due to a hip issue and illness, Trent will be back Wednesday. He's struggling from beyond the arc this season, making just 32.6 percent of his 6.8 attempts per game. Last year, he shot 38.3 percent on his 7.8 attempts.
Nov 21, 2022
Returns to practice
Trent (hip/illness) participated in Monday's practice session, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent has been dealing with hip soreness recently and was unable to travel to Atlanta prior to Saturday's matchup due to a non-COVID illness. However, he seems to be feeling slightly better Monday since he was able to participate in practice. It's not yet clear whether he'll be available Wednesday against Brooklyn, but he's trending in the right direction.
Nov 18, 2022
Also dealing with illness
Trent (hip, illness) won't make the trip to Atlanta for Saturday's game against the Hawks due to a non-COVID illness, Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent had already been ruled out for Saturday's contest, but it sounds like the reason he won't travel is more related to the illness, rather than hip soreness. Regardless, the Raptors will be pretty shorthanded against the Hawks, so Malachi Flynn and Scottie Barnes figure to see a lot of playing time alongside Fred VanVleet in the backcourt.
Nov 18, 2022
Won't travel to Atlanta
Trent (hip) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Hawks, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will miss a third consecutive game as he continues to nurse a sore right hip. With Dalano Banton (ankle) also sidelined, Malachi Flynn and Scottie Barnes figure to see more run in the backcourt against Atlanta on Saturday.
Nov 16, 2022
Out Wednesday
Trent (hip) is out Wednesday against the Heat, Michael Grange of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will sit out a second straight game. Fred VanVleet (illness) is at least back, but more minutes should continue to be available for Dalano Banton.
Nov 16, 2022
Downgraded to doubtful
Trent (hip) has been downgraded from questionable to doubtful for Wednesday's game against Miami.
ANALYSIS
Trent sat out Monday's game against the Pistons due to right hip soreness, and he appears likely to miss a second consecutive matchup. If he's held out, Dalano Bannon will likely remain in the starting lineup.
Nov 15, 2022
Tabbed as questionable Wednesday
Trent (hip) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game versus the Heat, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent at least seems to have a chance to suit up for this one after being ruled out right away ahead of Monday's clash. Dalano Banton got a look with the starting unit in his absence Monday and would likely get another shot with the unit if Trent remains sidelined.
Nov 14, 2022
Ruled out Monday
Trent has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Pistons due to right hip soreness, Vivek Jacob of the Raptors' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent was held to a season-low six points in 19 minutes during Saturday's loss to Indiana, and he's now dealing with a hip issue that will force him to miss his first game of the season. His absence leaves the Raptors particularly shorthanded in the backcourt, as Fred VanVleet (illness) had already been ruled out for Monday's game.
Nov 8, 2022
Solid game in loss
Trent finished with 19 points (7-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds, four assists, one block and three steals in 33 minutes during Monday's 111-97 loss to the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Trent had a great fantasy stat line Monday night. He had a season-high three steals, and it was only the second time all season that he recorded both a steal and a block in the same game. The former Duke Blue Devil also found his shot again after struggling a bit over the last couple games.
Nov 5, 2022
Many zeroes in loss
Trent finished with 12 points (3-12 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 5-6 FT) and one steal in 36 minutes during Friday's 111-110 loss to the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Trent was inefficient and unimpactful in Friday's loss -- which marked the second occasion this season in which he failed to log a rebound or assist. Friday also marked the first game this season in which Trent failed to hit multiple three-point tries. He'll look to get back on track Sunday against Chicago.
Nov 3, 2022
Scores 24 points in 26 minutes
Trent supplied 24 points (9-17 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, two assists and two steals in 26 minutes during Wednesday's 143-100 win over San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
Trent was on fire in the win, scoring at least 20 points for the third time in his last four games, continuing what has been a strong start to the season. After a breakout campaign in 2021-22, Trent actually slipped down draft boards this season with many viewing his production as somewhat of an outlier. Across the first eight games, he has managed to alleviate some of those concerns, averaging 20.0 points, 3.3 triples and 1.4 steals. As long as he can maintain adequate production in those three categories, he should remain inside the top 80 moving forward.
Oct 26, 2022
Shines as scorer but not much else
Trent ended with 27 points (11-16 FG, 5-10 3Pt) and two steals across 35 minutes during Wednesday's 119-109 victory over the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Trent thrived as a scoring threat and was very efficient for a guard, but he barely contributed in other categories. Even though most of his value will eventually be tied up to what he can do scoring the rock, it'd be nice to see him contributing in other categories on a steady basis as well. He's yet to record at least three assists or three steals in a single game, and he hasn't grabbed more than one rebound since he pulled down five boards in the season opener.
Oct 23, 2022
Pours in 23 points Saturday
Trent racked up 23 points (7-18 FG, 5-12 3Pt, 4-6 FT), one rebound, two assists, one block and two steals over 39 minutes during Saturday's 112-109 loss to Miami.
ANALYSIS
Trent tied with Pascal Siakam for the team lead in scoring in the contest thanks largely to a 5-for-12 mark from three-point range. As usual, he didn't do much as a rebounder or passer but did supply a pair of thefts and a blocked shot. Trent's fantasy value is tempered by his limited skill set, but few players are more prolific from beyond the arc.
Oct 19, 2022
Drops 19 in Wednesday's win
Trent totaled 19 points (5-12 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 5-7 FT), five rebounds and one steal across 37 minutes during Wednesday's 108-105 win over Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
The Toronto offense struggled early but caught fire late, with Trent's long-range shooting proving to be clutch down the stretch. He led the Raptors with four made three-pointers, building on his impressive first full season with the club in 2021-22 that saw him average career highs with 18.3 points and 3.0 threes per game.
Oct 16, 2022
Says he'll play Wednsday
Trent, who was sidelined for the Raptors' preseason finale due to IT band tightness, says he'll be good to go for Wednesday's regular season opener against the Cavaliers, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent suffered the injury during an exhibition against Chicago and was sidelined for an additional contest, but it doesn't seem like the issue is too serious. During his first full season with Toronto, Trent posted 18.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 35.0 minutes per game. He figures to garner a similar role during the 2022-23 campaign.
Oct 14, 2022
Won't play Friday
Trent has been ruled out for Friday's preseason finale against the Celtics due to right IT band tightness, Kayla Grey of TSN reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Michael Grange of Sportsnet.ca, Trent suffered the injury during Sunday's exhibition against the Bulls and has been held out of practice since. There was hope that the shooting guard would be available for the preseason finale, which suggests the issue isn't too severe. Regardless, it's certainly a concerning development for Trent with the regular season less than a week away.
Oct 9, 2022
Drops 17 points Sunday
Trent tallied 17 points (6-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, three assists and two steals in 29 minutes in a 115-98 loss Sunday against Chicago.
ANALYSIS
Trent had a productive first half, making all five of his shot attempts and scoring 15 of his 17 points while playing 20 minutes. It was his best performance of the preseason and the first time he exceeded 10 points. He's shooting 51.6 percent from the field and is 9-for-10 from the free-throw line in four preseason games.
Oct 8, 2022
Serviceable effort in loss
Trent closed with 10 points (3-8 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two steals and one assist in 26 minutes during Friday's preseason loss to Houston.
ANALYSIS
Trent was far from spectacular but managed to rack up a pair of steals in the loss, an element of his game that will need to maintain should he hope to repeat his efforts from last season. Currently entrenched as a starter, his overall game is built on his ability to score from the perimeter as well as on the defensive end. While he is a viable target in the mid to late rounds, there is very little margin for error when it comes to maintaining said value.
Apr 29, 2022
Drops 19 in season-ending loss
Trent notched 19 points (7-15 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT) and two assists in 40 minutes during Thursday's 132-97 loss to the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
The fourth-year guard bounced back from an illness that limited him in the first two games of the season, averaging 16.8 points, 2.4 boards, 2.2 threes, 2.1 assists and 1.7 steals over the final four contests against Philadelphia. Trent has become an effective backcourt complement to the Raptors' parade of long, athletic forwards, and next season he'll look to top the career-high 18.3 points and 3.0 three-pointers he recorded in 2021-22.
Apr 23, 2022
Pops for 24 in Game 4 win
Trent closed Saturday's 110-102 victory over the 76ers with 24 points (8-20 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals over 39 minutes.
ANALYSIS
After scoring only nine points total in the first two games of the series against Philadelphia, Trent has broken out for back-to-back 24-point efforts. After averaging a career-best 18.3 points a game during the regular season, the 23-year-old may have to continue finding another gear if Toronto is going to avoid elimination in Game 5 on Monday.
Apr 20, 2022
Drops 24 in loss
Trent recorded 24 points (9-19 FG, 4-9 3PT, 2-3 FT), two rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block in Wednesday's 104-101 loss to Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
After exiting Game 2 early due to illness, Trent finished third among the team with 45 minutes played. The fourth-year guard was efficient as he reached double figures for the ninth time in his last 11 games.
Apr 20, 2022
Will play Game 3
Raptors head coach Nick Nurse said Trent (illness) will play in Wednesday's Game 3 against the 76ers, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Nurse said that Trent is looking better and will likely draw the start, but he still isn't 100 percent and will be monitored closely during Game 3. After initially being listed as doubtful, the sharpshooter unexpectedly started Monday night's Game 2, but he was removed from the contest after only 10 minutes. Trent scored in double figures in each of the final eight regular-season games, but he's shooting just 14.3 percent from the field and 25.0 percent from deep across two playoff appearances.
Apr 19, 2022
Listed questionable for Game 3
Trent (illness) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's Game 3 against the 76ers, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent unexpectedly started Monday night's Game 2, but he was clearly not himself and was removed from the contest after seeing only 10 minutes of action. The hope is that he can make significant progress over the next day-and-a-half, but for now the Raptors are in wait-and-see mode.
Apr 18, 2022
Shut down for night
Trent won't return to Monday's Game 2 against the 76ers due to a non-COVID-related illness, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent gave it a go after being away from the team over the last few days due to illness, but it was obvious he was out of gas early in this one. He missed all three of his shot attempts and recorded one rebound in 10 minutes of action.
Apr 18, 2022
Gets green light
Trent (illness) has been cleared to play in Game 2 on Monday against Philadelphia, Michael Grange of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent was tagged as a game-time call due to a non-COVID-related illness, but he's since been given the all-clear by the team's medical staff and is in the starting lineup. He finished with nine points, four rebounds and one block in 26 minutes during Saturday's Game 1.
Apr 18, 2022
Will warm up before Game 2
Trent (illness) will go through a pregame workout prior to Monday's Game 2 against the 76ers before the Raptors make an official call on his status, Josh Lewenberg of TSN reports.
ANALYSIS
Speaking pregame, coach Nick Nurse told reporters that Trent is still "very sick", but the guard is apparently feeling better than he was earlier in the day. Nurse did not sound optimistic about Trent's chances to play, but we'll know more after he goes through the workout. At this juncture, Trent looks to be floating somewhere between questionable and doubtful.
Apr 18, 2022
Won't attend shootaround Monday
Trent (illness) won't participate in the team shootaround Monday morning and remains doubtful for Monday's Game 2 against the 76ers, Tim Bontemps of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent continues to deal with a non-COVID-19-related illness and he isn't expected to play in Monday's Game 2 after missing the Raptors' morning shootaround. With Scottie Barnes (ankle) already ruled out for the contest, Yuta Watanabe should see extra minutes Monday if Trent is ultimately ruled out.
Apr 17, 2022
Unlikely to play Game 2
Head coach Nick Nurse said Trent is considered doubtful to play Monday in Game 2 of the Raptors' first-round series with the 76ers due to a non-COVID-19-related illness, Tim Bontemps of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
In addition to Trent, the Raptors are expected to be without Scottie Barnes (ankle) and Thaddeus Young (thumb) for Game 2 after none of the three players took part in Sunday's practice. Barnes and Young instead underwent MRIs, while Nurse acknowledged that Trent was in and out of practice all of last week with the illness and has struggled to regain conditioning, per Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca. The extent of Trent's work in practice prior to Saturday's Game 1 isn't known, but the fourth-year wing didn't look like himself in the Raptors' 131-111 loss, as he finished with nine points (2-11 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds and one block in 26 minutes. Trent's expected absence should open up more playing time for Yuta Watanabe, who was limited to five minutes in Game 1.
Apr 11, 2022
Goes for 17 points in loss
Trent finished Sunday's 105-94 loss to the Knicks with 17 points (8-17 FG, 1-4 3Pt), one rebound and two assists over 31 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Trent was one of the few starters that kept his role in the regular-season finale but his performance wasn't eye-popping -- he needed 17 shots to score 17 points and struggled from deep. Either way, this was a career-best season for Trent since he averaged 18.3 points per game, and he should remain as a starter alongside Fred VanVleet in the Raptors' backcourt ahead of their first-round playoff series against the 76ers.
Apr 9, 2022
Goes for 26 points in win
Trent registered 26 points (9-21 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 3-3 FT), one rebound and three steals in 38 minutes during Friday's 117-115 victory over the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Trent continues to deliver as a key offensive threat for the Raptors in what has been a career-best season for him. He's now scored at least 20 points in three of his last six games and is averaging a career-best 18.3 points per game in what has been his first full year with the Raptors franchise. He should be an intriguing fantasy alternative on DFS slates by the time the playoffs start due to his ability to get hot and score in bunches on any given moment.
Apr 7, 2022
Sinks five threes
Trent finished with 30 points (12-21 FG, 5-8 3PT, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, three assists and one steal in the 119-114 win over Philadelphia on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
With Fred VanVleet (rest) being held out, Trent nearly doubled his shot attempts from their previous game. The fourth-year guard has seen 40-plus minutes of action in three of his last four contests and should see plenty more as the regular season draws to a close.
Mar 31, 2022
Scores team-high 29 points
Trent produced 29 points (9-13 FG, 6-8 3Pt, 5-5 FT) and two rebounds over 27 minutes during Wednesday's 125-102 victory over the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Trent connected on at least six three-pointers for the seventh time this season en route to a team-high 29 points. However, he failed to make significant contributions elsewhere. Regardless, his offensive explosion is an encouraging sign that the toe injury, which cost the sharpshooter three games in March, is an issue of the past.
Mar 29, 2022
Scores 12 points in return
Trent recorded 12 points (4-12 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), one rebound, two assists and three steals over 37 minutes during Monday's 115-112 overtime victory over the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Trent's return reunited Toronto's typical starting five. Trent logged 37 minutes in the overtime win, so he appears to be fully recovered from the toe injury that sidelined him for three games.
Mar 28, 2022
Set to play vs. Boston
Trent (toe) will make his return Monday night against Boston, Josh Lewenberg of TSN reports.
ANALYSIS
After missing the last three games, Trent will return to action and presumably reclaim his starting two-guard spot next to Fred VanVleet. Prior to the injury, Trent was in the midst of a roller-coaster month of March in which he averaged 17.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.5 threes in 35.7 minutes per game. However, Trent shot just 32.4 percent from the field and 29.3 percent from three during that span.
Mar 27, 2022
Questionable for Monday
Trent (toe) is questionable for Monday's contest against the Celtics, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent has missed three straight games, and the questionable tag doesn't bring much optimism as he's drawn the same designation ahead of each of his previous two absences. Fellow starting guard Fred VanVleet (knee) is also questionable, so the Raptors' backcourt depth may be tested against Boston.
Mar 26, 2022
Unavailable Saturday
Trent (toe) is out Saturday against the Pacers, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent appeared to be trending in the right direction ahead of Saturday's matchup, but he'll be forced to sit out a third consecutive game. OG Anunoby and Armoni Brooks should continue to see additional run.
Mar 25, 2022
Questionable for Saturday
Trent (toe) is questionable for Saturday's contest against the Pacers, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent has missed back-to-back games, but he's trending in the right direction and could return to the rotation Saturday. He's been able to practice this week, and Raptors head coach Nick Nurse said he's doing "pretty good," but Toronto has been limited to light practices this late in the season.
Mar 24, 2022
Out vs. Cavs
Trent (toe) is out Thursday against the Cavaliers, Michael Grange of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent was initially questionable but will end up missing a second game in a row. It remains to be seen how the starting five will shake out, as OG Anunoby (finger) is a game-time call.
Mar 23, 2022
Questionable vs. Cleveland
Trent (toe) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Cavaliers, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent participated at Wednesday's practice and may be able to retake the court against the Cavaliers after sitting out Monday's loss to the Bulls due to a hyperextended toe. The 23-year-old has been up-and-down over his past five games, as he scored in single digits three times and averaged 25.5 points in the other two contests.
Mar 23, 2022
Returns to practice Wednesday
Trent (toe) returned to practice Wednesday, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent sat out Monday's loss to the Bulls due to a hyperextended toe, and while he participated Wednesday, the Raptors didn't do any contact drills during practice. His status for Thursday's tilt against the Cavaliers will become clearer when Toronto releases its official injury report.
Mar 21, 2022
Out with hyperextended toe
Trent will not play Monday at Chicago due to a hyperextended toe, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Toronto has been hit with several key injuries throughout the season, but Trent has typically been one of Nick Nurse's more durable players. However, he'll take a season Monday on the second half of a back-to-back after sustaining the toe injury during Sunday's 93-88 win over the 76ers. Trent finished that contest with only nine points on 2-of-13 shooting in 34 minutes. Consider him day-to-day as the Raptors move through a three-game week.
Mar 16, 2022
Good to go Wednesday
Trent (illness) is starting Wednesday's game versus the Clippers, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent was upgraded from questionable to probable earlier Wednesday evening and will play through the non-COVID illness in Los Angeles. He's averaged 19.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.3 steals while shooting 33.6 percent from the field through eight games in March.
Mar 16, 2022
Set to play Wednesday
Trent (illness) was upgraded to probable for Wednesday's game against the Clippers, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent's status was in question due to a non-COVID-19 illness, but it appears he'll be able to play through the issue. The 23-year-old has averaged 22.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.4 steals in 36.0 minutes over the past five games.
Mar 16, 2022
Questionable Wednesday
Trent is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Clippers due to a non-COVID illness.
ANALYSIS
Trent hasn't missed a game since Jan. 19, but he was a late addition to Wednesday's injury report due to his illness. If the 23-year-old is held out against the Clippers, Yuta Watanabe and Svi Mykhailiuk should see additional playing time.
Mar 15, 2022
Leads Raptors with 28 points
Trent closed with 28 points (7-19 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 11-13 FT), five rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal over 36 minutes during Monday's 114-103 win over the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Trent doesn't typically draw a lot of fouls, but he got to the line a season-high 13 times against the Lakers, converting 11 of those attempts. That helped the sharpshooter post a team-high 28 points despite a less-than-efficient shooting line. Trent is certainly capable of big scoring games, but those will usually come more by way of the three-ball than via the charity stripe.
Mar 12, 2022
Matches season-high with 42 points
Trent produced 42 points (13-21 FG, 8-11 3Pt, 8-8 FT), eight rebounds and one assist in 40 minutes during Friday's 117-112 win over Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
One of the streakiest scorers in the league, Trent drilled eight three-pointers and matches his career-best scoring total, which he initially just over a month ago (Feb. 10 at HOU). Trent had been in a fairly significant slump over his previous eight games, averaging 13.9 points on just 30.2 percent shooting (22.6% 3Pt)
Mar 5, 2022
Held in check Friday
Trent ended Friday's 103-97 loss to the Magic with four points (2-12 FG, 0-9 3Pt), two rebounds and three assists in 27 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Trent had shot just 25.0 percent from beyond the arc across his last two appearances, and he failed to convert any of his nine three-point attempts during Friday's defeat. As a result, he finished with his lowest scoring total of the season. Trent displayed plenty of fantasy upside earlier in the season, but he's had inconsistent results recently. Across his nine appearances since posting a season-high 42 points against the Rockets on Feb. 10, he's shot just 29.6 percent from the floor and has averaged 13.6 points, 2.6 assists and 2.3 rebounds in 33.3 minutes per game.
Mar 3, 2022
Ice cold from distance in loss
Trent closed Thursday's 108-106 loss to Detroit with 14 points (4-23 FG, 3-15 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds, four assists and two steals across 39 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Trent continued to keep shooting despite the fact the ball was not dropping, ending with a woeful 4-of-23 from the floor. He was able to somewhat salvage his evening with another two steals, an aspect of his game that has certainly buoyed his overall value this season. Confidence is obviously not an issue for Trent and so we should expect to see him firing away once again when the Raptors take on the Magic on Friday.
Feb 28, 2022
Racks up five steals Monday
Trent closed with 12 points (3-10 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-7 FT), five assists and five steals across 30 minutes during Monday's 133-97 victory over Brooklyn.
ANALYSIS
Trent struggled with his shot in the blowout victory but salvaged his night with five steals, the third time he has reached that mark in the last month. He has been one of the most improved players this season, especially on the defensive end of the floor where he is averaging 1.9 steals per game. His scoring can waiver a little from one game to the next but as long as he can maintain a stable fantasy floor, he should end the season well ahead of his ADP.
Feb 17, 2022
Shines against TWolves
Trent ended Wednesday's 103-91 win over the Timberwolves with 30 points (10-24 FG, 5-12 3Pt, 5-7 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one steal over 39 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Trent was coming off two underwhelming efforts but bounced back admirably here, and he posted his third game with at least 30 points in the current month. The consistency on a game-to-game basis has been lacking at times, but Trent has established himself as one of the most reliable offensive threats on the Raptors roster. He's averaging 21.9 points per game while shooting 44.5 percent from the field and 42.7 percent from deep in nine appearances this month.
Feb 13, 2022
Struggles from deep
Trent notched 11 points (5-12 FG, 1-5 3Pt), three rebounds, one block and one steal in 38 minutes during Saturday's 110-109 loss to Denver.
ANALYSIS
After exploding for a season-high 42 points in his last outing, Trent failed to make multiple threes for the first time since Jan. 2 and registered his lowest scoring total since Jan. 7. Over his last 13 games, he's averaged 24.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.6 assists in 37.4 minutes. Trent will look to bounce back Monday against the Pelicans.
Feb 11, 2022
Achieves nuclear fusion
Trent exploded for 42 points (15-26 FG, 6-13 3Pt, 6-7 FT), one rebound, four assists and five steals across 37 minutes during Thursday's 139-120 victory over the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Trent racked up 17 points in the first quarter, and that was merely the start of a long night for Houston defensively. Trent scored at will from all three levels, falling two points shy of his career best. His five steals did match a career best, however. Trent has now knocked down at least four threes in six of his last nine games, and he'll next take the court in an exploitable matchup Saturday against Denver.
Feb 10, 2022
Secures five steals
Trent chipped in 16 points (5-12 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), one rebound, two assists and five steals in 34 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Although Trent has somewhat cooled down offensively since recording five straight 30-point games in late January, his defensive effort has been consistent. The 23-year-old grabbed five steals Wednesday to tie his career high and this also extended his streak of consecutive games with a steal to 11 games. Trent's rebounding and assist numbers leave more to be desired as he is now averaging just 2.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists over his last five games. However, his offensive consistency and high scoring ceiling along with his constant defensive contributions give him high fantasy upside.

Scores 24 points in win
Trent posted 24 points (8-16 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 4-5 FT), three rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals over 34 minutes during Monday's 116-101 win over Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
Trent was one of four Raptors to score at least 20 points, and he tied Pascal Siakam with a team-high 24. Over his last eight games, the fourth-year guard averaged 27.5 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.6 assists in 40.0 minutes. During that stretch, he's shooting 50.0 percent from three on 10.2 attempts per game. With that kind of volume, Trent is deserving of a roster spot in most formats.
Feb 2, 2022
Remains hot Tuesday
Trent racked up 33 points (11-20 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 5-8 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal over 41 minutes during Tuesday's 110-106 victory over Miami.
ANALYSIS
Trent has made at least five threes in five straight games and has scored 30-plus points in each of those contests. During that stretch, he's averaged 32.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.4 assists in 42.0 minutes per game. He'll look to continue his stellar play against the Bulls on Thursday.
Feb 1, 2022
Stays hot Monday
Trent produced 31 points (10-22 FG, 9-15 3Pt, 2-4 FT), six rebounds, one assist and one steal across 41 minutes during Monday's 106-100 win over Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Trent made a season-high nine threes en route to his fourth straight game with at least 30 points. During that stretch, he is connecting on 50.0 percent of his 12.4 attempts per game from beyond the arc. The fourth-year guard has also registered at least one steal in each of his last six contests and has grabbed at least five rebounds in back-to-back games. He'll look to continue his hot shooting against the Heat on Tuesday.
Jan 30, 2022
Goes nuts in Saturday's win
Trent racked up 33 points (13-28 FG, 5-15 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, one assist and five steals in 56 minutes during Saturday's 124-120 triple-overtime win over the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Trent rediscovered his form from earlier in the season, bringing the numbers on both ends of the floor. Since returning from a somewhat lengthy layoff, Trent has been slowly trending in the right direction, highlighted by this performance. Having already blown his preseason ADP out of the water, Trent is now locked in as a mid-round asset and should be viewed as such moving forward.
Jan 26, 2022
Tops all scorers with 32 points
Trent finished with 32 points (11-22 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 4-5 FT), one rebound, two assists and one steal in 37 minutes during Wednesday's 111-105 loss to Chicago.
ANALYSIS
Trent connected on six triples in the loss, ending with a grand total of 32 points for the second straight game. With the Raptors down on troops, Trent assumed the role of the primary scorer, something that appears to sit quite comfortably with him. After a red hot start to the season, Trent has seen his production dip slightly over the past month; however, he is still easily exceeding all preseason expectations.
Jan 26, 2022
Drops 32 points before ejection
Trent was ejected during the fourth quarter of Wednesday's loss to the Bulls after being assessed a second technical foul, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports. He had 32 points (11-22 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 4-5 FT), one rebound, two assists and one steal in 37 minutes before being tossed.
ANALYSIS
Trent wasn't happy with a no-call while driving late in the fourth quarter, and he was given his second technical foul of the game after complaining about the lack of a whistle. The 23-year-old tied his season high with 32 points, which he first scored in the front half of the back-to-back set Tuesday versus New Orleans, but failed to provide much production in any other categories.
Jan 26, 2022
Explodes for 32 points
Trent supplied 32 points (11-21 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 5-5 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal across 35 minutes during Tuesday's 125-113 victory over the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
The 32-point output was a season-high mark for Trent, though this performance came out of nowhere for him. Between a stint on the sidelines and a few uninspiring scoring performances, Trent hadn't reached the 20-point mark since he scored 22 points in a win over the Bucks in early February. This might be the performance he was needing to turn things around, though. He's averaging 16.6 points per game in January.
Jan 22, 2022
Drills three triples in return
Trent (ankle) produced 13 points (4-12 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-3 FT), one rebound, one assist, one steal and one block in 29 minutes Friday in the Raptors' 109-105 win over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Trent made his return from a bout of ankle swelling that had sidelined him for the previous six games and immediately recaptured his spot in the starting five. Though he saw a healthy amount of playing time in his return, Trent could have the upside to add a few more minutes to his total once he fully ramps up, given head coach Nick Nurse's inclination toward shorter rotations. The Raptors essentially ran a seven-man rotation Friday, with Yuta Watanabe (5:47) and Justin Champagnie (2:02) only seeing light run while some of Toronto's key players were getting breathers.
Jan 21, 2022
Available Friday

Jan 20, 2022
Questionable Friday
Trent (ankle) is questionable for Friday's game against the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Trent has missed the last six games due to a left ankle injury but has a chance to return against Washington. If he's unable to play, Svi Mykhailiuk, Fred VanVleet and Malachi Flynn should continue to see increased work.
Jan 19, 2022
To remain out Wednesday
Trent (ankle) will not play Wednesday against the Mavericks, Doug Smith of the Toronto Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent continues to deal with a left ankle issue that will cost him a sixth consecutive contest. Toronto appears to be handling his status on a game-to-game basis, so consider him questionable for Friday's contest at Washington.
Jan 18, 2022
Questionable for Wednesday
Trent (ankle) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Mavericks, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent has missed five straight games due to ankle inflammation. While he's listed as questionable, the designation doesn't bring immense optimism because he's drawn the same tag ahead of each game since being a late scratch Jan. 9. If he does return Wednesday, it's possible he will be on a minutes limit. Regardless, fantasy managers should continue to monitor Trent's status closely.
Jan 17, 2022
Out Monday
Trent (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Heat, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will miss his fifth consecutive game due to ankle inflammation. His next chance to return will come Wednesday against the Mavericks.
Jan 16, 2022
Questionable Monday
Trent (ankle) is questionable for Monday's game at Miami.
ANALYSIS
Trent has missed the past four games with ankle inflammation, but he may be able to retake the court Monday. If ultimately ruled out, the 22-year-old's next chance to play will come Wednesday versus the Mavericks.

Trent will miss a fourth straight game. His next chance to return is Monday against the Heat.
Jan 15, 2022
Questionable against Bucks
Trent (ankle) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Bucks, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent was held out of Friday's game against Detroit, but he'll have a chance to return in the second half of the back-to-back set. If he's forced to miss a fourth straight contest, Svi Mykhailiuk should see increased run once again.

Jan 13, 2022
Doesn't practice Thursday
Trent (ankle) didn't practice Thursday and is questionable for Friday's game against the Pistons, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent has missed the last two games due to an ankle injury. Although he'll travel with the team to Detroit, his lack of participation in practice isn't encouraging ahead of Friday's matchup.
Jan 11, 2022
Won't play Tuesday
Trent (ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's contest against the Suns, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will miss his second straight contest after being a late scratch ahead of Sunday's win over the Pelicans. In his absence, Svi Mykhailiuk is expected to see an increased role off the bench.
Jan 10, 2022
Listed as questionable for Tuesday
Trent (ankle) is questionable for Tuesday's contest against the Suns, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent was a late scratch for Sunday's contest against the Pelicans and is in jeopardy of missing a second straight game. If he is sidelined, Fred VanVleet should see increased usage while Svi Mykhailiuk will likely have an increased role off the bench once again.
Jan 9, 2022
Late scratch Sunday
Trent (ankle) is out Sunday against the Pelicans, Erin Summers of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent wasn't initially listed on Toronto's injury report for Sunday's game, but he was scratched less than an hour before tip-off. Svi Mykhailiuk, Fred VanVleet and Malachi Flynn should be in line for increased run.
Jan 6, 2022
Goes for 22 points in win
Trent logged 22 points (8-17 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one block in 31 minutes during Wednesday's 117-111 victory over the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Trent surpassed the 20-point mark for the second game in a row, and he is going through a decent stretch of form when it comes to scoring. The four-year guard has scored in double digits in nine of his last 10 appearances while reaching the 20-point mark five times in that stretch.
Dec 28, 2021
Racks up career-high seven assists
Trent had 19 points (6-24 FG, 4-13 3Pt, 3-5 FT), one rebound, seven assists and two steals across 41 minutes during Tuesday's 114-109 loss to the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Trent shot poorly but amassed 19 points out of sheer volume. On a positive note, he dished out a career-high seven assists. He's not much of a passer, but he's now recorded at least one assist in 10 straight games. Tuesday's game also marked his sixth straight performance with double-digit points.
Dec 28, 2021
Good to go Tuesday
Trent (conditioning) is available for Tuesday's game against the Sixers, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent was initially considered questionable for Tuesday before being upgraded to probable, and he'll make his return after missing one game while in the health and safety protocols. The 22-year-old has averaged 18.6 points, 3.0 assists, 3.0 steals and 1.8 rebounds in 36.0 minutes in his past five contests, though he could see more limited minutes in his first game back.
Dec 28, 2021
Upgraded to probable
Trent (conditioning) is listed as probable for Tuesday's contest against the 76ers, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent cleared the league's health and safety protocols Monday and was initially listed as questionable for Tuesday. If he is eventually cleared for the contest, there's a possibility he garners a minute restriction during his first game action since Dec. 18.
Dec 27, 2021
Questionable against 76ers
Trent has cleared the league's health and safety protocols and is questionable for Tuesday's game against Philadelphia, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent was away from the team for a week due to the league's health and safety protocols, but he'll now be able to rejoin the Raptors for practice. If he's cleared to play Tuesday, he could have a minutes restriction.
Dec 20, 2021
Placed in COVID-19 protocols
Trent was placed in the NBA's health and safety protocols Monday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent joins Pascal Siakam and Dalano Banton in COVID protocols. The Raptors were scheduled to play the Magic on Monday, but due to a COVID-19 outbreak amongst Orlando's ranks, the game was postponed. Now, Toronto is dealing with an outbreak of their own and may be down a few key players when they return to action to face the Bulls on Wednesday.
Dec 19, 2021
Raptors-Magic postponed Monday
Trent and the Raptors won't play the Magic on Monday after the NBA announced the game will be postponed, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
With the Magic dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak and without several players due to injury, they're unlikely to have the requisite number of players active, so the league has moved to reschedule the contest for a later date. As of now, the Raptors will have three full days off before Wednesday's scheduled game at Chicago. Since Toronto is now set to play only two games during the upcoming week, Trent won't make for an appealing lineup option in fantasy leagues with weekly lineups.
Dec 14, 2021
Reignites in loss
Trent amassed 25 points (9-19 FG, 6-12 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, five assists and three steals over 42 minutes during Tuesday's 131-129 overtime loss to the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Trent has been on a tear over his previous four games, scoring 83 points on 52.4 percent shooting from the field. Fueled by a strong (and unsustainable) 15-of-31 from beyond the arc, Trent continues to showcase his blossoming scoring game. The 22-year-old has also recorded at least two steals in six of his past seven games.
Dec 8, 2021
Drops team-high 24 points in loss
Trent closed Wednesday's 110-109 loss to the Thunder with 24 points (10-17 FG, 4-8 3Pt), four rebounds, three assists and two steals over 39 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Trent finally got his shot to fall Wednesday, shooting at least 50 percent from the field for the first time since mid-November. It's been a breakout season for Trent, although there always seems to be an element of doubt attached to his fantasy projection. He is putting up career-high numbers across the board right now, and while some remain skeptical, he remains a clear must-roster player across all formats.
Dec 3, 2021
Cold in win
Trent finished with eight points (3-16 FG, 2-10 3Pt), eight rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals across 35 minutes during Thursday's 97-93 victory over the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Trent is slumping slightly, failing to shoot 50 percent in each of his past five games. Buoyed by a high floor, Trent ranks within the league's top-40 for attempted field goals this season. Also, despite not attempting a free throw on Thursday, Trent has been automatic from the line this season, hitting 92.9 percent. He'll look to regain his rhythm Sunday against the Wizards.
Dec 2, 2021
Cleared to play
Trent (calf) will play Thursday against the Bucks and is expected to start, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
After a two-game absence due to a right calf bruise, Trent is back. In his last five appearances, he's averaged 20.8 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 33.8 minutes. His return will presumably bump Svi Mykhailiuk back to the bench.
Dec 1, 2021
Listed as questionable
Trent (calf) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Bucks, Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent missed back-to-back games due to a bruised right calf, but he was able to return to practice Wednesday and is trending towards playing against the Bucks. As a full-time starter in his first full season with the Raptors, he is averaging 17.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 1.7 assists across 34.4 minutes per game.
Dec 1, 2021
Practices Wednesday
Trent (calf) practiced Wednesday, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent returned to practice after back-to-back absences due to a bruised right calf. He will likely be considered questionable for Thursday's matchup with the Bucks, but he is trending in the right direction.
Nov 30, 2021
Officially out, Mykhailiuk to start
Trent (calf) has been ruled out of Tuesday's game against Memphis, Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will miss a second straight game as he continues to nurse a bruised right calf. Svi Mykhailiuk will make another start in Trent's place at shooting guard.
Nov 29, 2021
Listed as questionable for Tuesday
Trent (calf) is questionable for Tuesday's contest against the Grizzlies, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent missed Sunday's 109-97 loss to the Celtics and didn't participate in Monday's practice, but he still has a chance to play Tuesday. Svi Mykhailiuk started on the wing in place of Trent against Boston and finished with 12 points and eight rebounds in 38 minutes. If Trent is unable to suit up Tuesday, then Mykhailiuk could be in line for a similar workload against Memphis.
Nov 29, 2021
Doesn't practice Monday
Trent (calf) didn't participate in Monday's practice, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent can be viewed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Grizzlies until the Raptors release their updated injury report, but his lack of practice activity isn't a great sign for his chances of returning from a one-game absence. Svi Mykhailiuk started on the wing in place of Trent in Sunday's 109-97 loss to the Celtics, finishing with 12 points (5-14 FG, 2-7 3Pt), eight rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block in 38 minutes.
Nov 28, 2021
Out vs. Celtics
Trent (calf) is out against the Celtics on Sunday, according to Aaron Rose of SI.com.
ANALYSIS
Trent is sitting out because of a bruised right calf. He will try to return Tuesday versus Memphis, but his absence likely opens up more playing time for backup guards like Svi Mykhailiuk and Malachi Flynn.
Nov 27, 2021
Considered questionable
The Raptors have listed Trent (calf) as questionable ahead of Sunday's game versus the Celtics, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent left Friday's game against the Pacers due to right calf tightness. He subsequently missed Saturday's practice and appears to be trending towards a true game-time decision. Some combination of Svi Mykhailiuk and Malachi Flynn would be the likely candidates to replace his minutes if he ultimately gets ruled out.
Nov 26, 2021
Exits with calf tightness
Trent will not return to Friday's matchup with the Pacers due to a right calf tightness, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent recorded 13 points (4-11 FG, 1-5 3PT, 4-4 FT), one rebound, one assist and two steals across 32 minutes before exiting. It is unclear how serious the issue is at this time. His next chance to suit up will come Sunday versus the Celtics.
Nov 19, 2021
Crosses 30-point mark Thursday
Trent mustered 31 points (12-18 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, three assists and one steal over 33 minutes during Thursday's 119-103 loss to the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Trent led Toronto in scoring in the contest, crossing the 30-point mark for the first time this season. He not only drilled an efficient five of 11 shots from deep but also converted all seven of his attempts from two-point range. Trent is averaging a career-best 17.3 points on the campaign, and he has supplemented his scoring and three-point proficiency by ranking fourth in the league with 2.4 steals per contest.
Nov 14, 2021
Another 20-point performance
Trent posted 23 points (8-16 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds, three assists and three steals across 38 minutes during Saturday's 127-121 loss to the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Trent has reached the 20-point mark just four times this season, but two of those have come in his last two games -- and he also extended his double-digit scoring streak to seven appearances. He's averaging 18.4 points per game while shooting 46.4 percent from the field in that stretch.
Nov 12, 2021
Gets going again in win
Trent closed with 20 points (7-16 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, four assists and two steals in 36 minutes during Thursday's 115-109 victory over the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Trent got back to doing what he does best in the victory, connecting on four triples and grabbing a pair of steals. There was some hesitancy to draft Trent given his lack of supporting numbers but thus far, he has been one of the big success stories. Those invested in the young prodigy should probably ride this out to see what happens as a trade may not yield a justifiable return.
Nov 7, 2021
Shoots 50 percent from field
Trent provided 14 points (7-14 FG, 0-5 3Pt), two assists, a rebound and a blocked shot across 36 minutes in Sunday's 116-103 loss to the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Trent and Fred VanVleet are running an efficient backcourt for the Raptors, and despite their early 6-5 record, they are managing fine without Kyle Lowry. The Duke product has posted some great games on defense, and he currently leads the NBA with an average of 3.1 steals per game.
Nov 6, 2021
Records season-high six steals
Trent put up 17 points (7-14 FG, 3-4 3Pt), six steals, two rebounds, two blocks and an assist across 37 minutes in Friday's loss against the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Trent scored at least 15 points for the third game in a row and while he's proven his ability as a scorer, he's certainly making his presence felt on the defensive side of the ball. He has recorded multiple steals in six games in a row, and he's averaging a league-best 3.1 steals to go along with 15.3 points per game.
Nov 2, 2021
Scores season-high 26 points
Trent posted 26 points (10-22 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four steals, two rebounds and two assists across 43 minutes in Monday's win over the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Trent has scored in double digits in six of his seven starts thus far, but this was the first time he cleared the 20-point mark. He's doing more than just scoring, though, as he has recorded multiple steals in four games in a row. Through seven starts, Trent is averaging 16.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.7 steals per game.
Oct 22, 2021
Late addition to starting lineup
Trent is a late addition to the Raptors' starting lineup at shooting guard in Friday's game against the Celtics, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will replace Goran Dragic in the starting lineup. The move was made minutes before tip-off. He recorded six points, two rebounds, one assist and three steals across 26 minutes off the bench in the team's season opener.
Oct 20, 2021
Coming off bench
Trent will come off the bench during Wednesday's season opener against the Wizards, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent signed a three-year, $54 million deal with the Raptors in the offseason, but coach Nick Nurse will bring him off the bench while Goran Dragic and Fred VanVleet start in the backcourt. Trent should still see minutes in the mid-to-high-20s.
Oct 11, 2021
Drops nine points in start
Trent added nine points (3-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-4 FT), three steals and one rebound during Monday's preseason win against the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Trent made his first start this preseason with Goran Dragic resting, and while he hit only one three-pointer, he racked up three steals in just 18 minutes. Although he was a starter for most of last season after coming over from Portland via trade, Trent appears poised to shift to the bench this season, if Nick Nurse's preseason rotation is any indication.
Oct 6, 2021
Off injury report
Trent (quad) is not on the injury report ahead of Thursday's game against the 76ers, Josh Lewenberg of TSN reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent was held out of Monday's exhibition opener due to a sore quad, but the issue doesn't appear to be anything of concern. Expect the sharpshooting guard to be available Thursday night.
Oct 4, 2021
Won't play Monday
Coach Nick Nurse said Trent (quadriceps) won't play in Monday's preseason opener, but he "could have went" if they needed him, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Nurse also added that they wanted to get Trent some practice time in before they threw him into game action. The Raptors are being extremely cautious with their 22-year-old shooting guard, but he is likely to see minutes during Thursday's preseason game against the Sixers.
Oct 3, 2021
Questionable for Monday
Trent (quadriceps) is questionable for Monday's preseason game against the Sixers, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent is dealing with some soreness in his left quad and has recently been unable to practice. The 22-year-old figures to be held out Monday if there's even any slight concern over the injury.
Oct 2, 2021
Dealing with sore quad
Trent has a sore quad and did not participate in Saturday's practice, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
There's nothing to indicate that Trent's injury is serious. That said, he could miss Monday's preseason game against the 76ers.
Aug 2, 2021
Agrees to re-join Toronto
Trent agreed Monday to a three-year, $54 million deal with the Raptors, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent was dealt from the Trail Blazers to the Raptors at the deadline last season. He appeared in 17 games (15 starts) with Toronto and averaged 16.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.1 steals in 31.8 minutes. On the season as a whole, he made 2.8 threes per game at a 38.5 percent clip. The 22-year-old should continue to see starter's minutes with the rebuilding Raptors as he develops into one of the league's better three-point shooters.
May 13, 2021
Healthy scratch Thursday
Trent (coach's decision) did not play in Thursday's 114-102 loss to the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Trent, along with Chris Boucher, were both held out of the rotation despite apparently being healthy. The Raptors are not trying to win at this stage of the season, so it's unclear if Trent will be rejoin the rotation for either of the team's final two games.
May 8, 2021
Scores 18 on 20 shots
Trent registered 18 points (5-20 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 6-8 FT), six rebounds, one assist and one steal in 36 minutes during Saturday's 109-99 loss to the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
The 22-year-old struggled from the field but still managed to put up a decent scoring output. Since returning from a six-game absence due to a bruised lower leg, Trent is averaging 21.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 three-pointers and 1.0 steals over his last two games. The third-year guard will look to help break the Raptors' current three-game skid Tuesday at home against the Clippers.
May 7, 2021
Scores 25 in return
Trent delivered 25 points (8-16 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, an assist and a steal across 36 minutes in Thursday's loss against the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Trent had missed six games in a row due to a lower leg injury and looked impressive, putting up his fourth game with at least 20 points over his last seven appearances in an efficient manner. The 22-year-old guard might head back to the bench Saturday with the impending return of Kyle Lowry, but he still delivers value as a bench piece due to his scoring ability.
May 6, 2021
Starting vs. Wiz
Trent will start Thursday's game against the Wizards, Josh Lewenberg of TSN reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will make his return to action after a six-game absence, and he'll slot back into the lineup at shooting guard with Kyle Lowry resting and Yuta Watanabe (ankle) out. The rest of the Raptors' lineup will remain the same, though Fred VanVleet will serve as the nominal point guard.
May 6, 2021
Available vs. Wizards
Trent (lower leg) is available for Thursday's matchup against the Wizards, Steven Loung of Sportsnet reports.
ANALYSIS
After six missed games due to a bruised lower leg, Trent will be back Thursday. If he's not on a minutes limit, he could play upwards of 30 minutes, as the Raptors are still dealing with a variety of injuries and absences.
May 5, 2021
Probable vs. Wizards
Trent (lower leg) is probable for Thursday's game against the Wizards, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent has missed the past six games due to a bruised lower leg, but he should be back Thursday. There's a chance he'll be on a minutes limit, and he could come off the bench. Once he's fully healthy, he could he'll re-join the starting five and see upwards of 30 minutes per game.
May 4, 2021
Out as expected
Trent (lower leg) is out Tuesday against the Clippers, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Trent will miss a sixth straight game with a lower leg bruise. His next chance to play arrives Thursday against the Wizards.
May 3, 2021
Unlikely for Tuesday
Trent (lower leg) is listed as doubtful for Tuesday's game against the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Trent has missed his team's last five contests as a result of a leg injury, and it would appear he's going to miss a sixth unless the team sees significant improvement. Expect an official announcement on his status closer to tip.
May 2, 2021
Out again Sunday
Trent (lower leg) will not play Sunday against the Lakers, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will miss his fifth game in a row due to a bruised leg. Malachi Flynn and Rodney Hood could continue to see an increased workload with Trent out.
Apr 30, 2021
Out Saturday
Trent (lower leg) will remain sidelined for Saturday's matchup with the Jazz, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent's absence will mark his fourth consecutive game missed due to a bruised leg. In his absence, look for Malachi Flynn to continue seeing extra minutes. His next chance to return will come Sunday versus the Lakers.
Apr 28, 2021
Out Thursday
Trent (lower leg) is out Thursday against the Nuggets, Doug Smith of the Toronto Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will miss a third straight game as he continues to recover from a bruised leg. In his absence, Malachi Flynn should continue seeing extra run.
Apr 27, 2021
Won't play Tuesday
Trent (lower leg) will not play Tuesday against the Nets, Aaron Rose of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will be sidelined for the second game in a row as he deals with a bruise in his lower leg. Rodney Hood could continue to see an increased workload while Trent remains on the sidelines.
Apr 26, 2021
Won't play Monday
Trent will not play Monday against the Cavaliers due to a bruised lower left leg.
ANALYSIS
The Raptors' injury report has been a disaster for most of the last few weeks, and Trent is the latest addition with a mysterious injury that he apparently picked up during Saturday's loss to the Knicks. The sharpshooter's workload was slashed dramatically over the last two games, as he totaled just 33 minutes after averaging 33.6 minutes per game through his first 12 contests with the Raptors.
Apr 21, 2021
Shifts to bench
Trent will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against the Nets.
ANALYSIS
With Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet returning to the starting five, Trent will try to provide a spark off the bench Wednesday. He posted 23 points, five rebounds, five steals, one assist and one block in Sunday's win over the Thunder.
Apr 18, 2021
Shines with 23 points
Trent tallied 23 points (9-25 FG, 5-10 3Pt), five rebounds, five steals, an assist and a blocked shot across 33 minutes in Sunday's 112-106 win over the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Trent was the only regular starter on the floor amidst a sea of injury-related absences in Toronto's first unit. He had no issue with spurring the offensive firepower in the backcourt, going 5-of-10 from beyond the arc. He also played the thief on defense with a season-high five steals. The Raptors will have three days of rest, which should bring back some first-string talent, but Trent will still perform aptly as Normal Powell's replacement in the offensive scheme.
Apr 18, 2021
Back in starting five
Trent (ankle) will start Sunday's game against the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Trent will return to action after missing the last two games due to soreness in his ankle. He'll be one of the only regular starters available, as Toronto will be without Kyle Lowry (rest), Pascal Siakam (shoulder), Fred VanVleet (hip) and OG Anunoby (calf).
Apr 18, 2021
Not on injury report
Trent (ankle) is not listed on the injury report for Sunday's game against the Thunder, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent has missed the last two games with right ankle soreness, but it appears he will be back Sunday. With Fred VanVleet (hip) ruled out, Trent should be in line for a fairly heavy workload in Sunday's game.
Apr 16, 2021
Out Friday
Trent (ankle) is out Friday against the Magic, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will miss a second straight game due to right ankle soreness. Paul Watson, Malachi Flynn and DeAndre' Bembry should continue seeing extra minutes.
Apr 15, 2021
Doubtful for Friday
Trent (ankle) is doubtful for Friday's game against Orlando, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will likely miss his second game in a row while he nurses a sore right ankle. If he is ruled out, Paul Watson and Rodney Hood could see increased workloads.
Apr 14, 2021
Won't play Wednesday
Trent has been ruled out of Wednesday's game against the Spurs due to a sore right ankle, Marc Stein of the New York Times reports.
ANALYSIS
It's the second night of a back-to-back for the Raptors, so there's a good chance they're simply building in some rest for Trent, who's played big minutes in virtually every game since joining the team at the deadline. In Tuesday's loss to the Hawks, he saw 35 minutes of action but finished with just seven points on 3-of-15 shooting, including 0-of-7 from three. Toronto will also be without Kyle Lowry (rest) and Fred VanVleet (suspension), so expect Malachi Flynn to once again be set for an increased role.
Apr 12, 2021
Leads team with 23 points
Trent delivered 23 points (9-17 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and an assist across 35 minutes in Sunday's loss at the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Trent was unable to replicate what he did in his previous contest when he finished with a career-high 44 points, but he still paced the Raptors in scoring while putting up at least 20 points for the fourth time over his last seven appearances. Trent has also gone nine straight contests with at least one three-pointer made.
Apr 11, 2021
Explodes for career-high 44 points
Trent produced 44 points (17-19 FG, 7-9 3Pt, 3-3 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and a steal across 33 minutes in Saturday's 135-115 win over the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Trent's brilliant performance came via only 33 minutes on the floor. He simply could not be stopped, converting an insane 89.4 percent in 19 shot attempts. He also drilled seven threes and contributed well in the secondary categories. As one of the only regular starters in the lineup, a good night for Trent was expected due to the short-handed setup, but his stellar line was a huge surprise. One should expect a more balanced offensive attack from the Raptors with the team's other playmakers close to returning.
Apr 6, 2021
Scores 11 points Tuesday
Trent recorded 11 points (4-15 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one steal during Tuesday's loss to the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
A day removed from drilling a game-winning shot at the buzzer, Trent struggled offensively Tuesday but did tally double figures for a fifth straight matchup. Over his past five games played with Toronto, Trent is averaging 19.4 points while shooting 46.2 percent from three.
Apr 5, 2021
Scores 16 with little else
Trent recorded 16 points (7-15 FG, 2-6 3Pt), two rebounds and two assists in 31 minutes during Monday's win over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
The 22-year-old had a solid night shooting from the field but failed to record a defensive stat for the first time in three games. Before Monday's game, Trent was averaging 23.0 points, 4.5 three-pointers, 3.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals over his past three games. The third-year guard will look to get back in the steals column Tuesday at home against the Lakers.
Apr 2, 2021
Hits six triples in blowout win
Trent totaled 24 points (8-14 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, two blocks, one assist and one steal over 30 minutes of Friday's victory over the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Trent and Pascal Siakam combined for 60 points and nearly outscored the Warriors by themselves. After getting off to a slow start with the Raptors, Trent has scored at least 15 points in three straight games while also recording a steal in each outing.
Apr 1, 2021
Scores team-high 31 points
Trent registered 31 points (12-22 FG, 6-11 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds and two steals across 36 minutes in Wednesday's loss against the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Trent got off to a slow start to his Raptors tenure, but this was his breakout performance -- this 31-point effort represents a season-high mark for the shooting guard, who seems set to take over Norman Powell's role in the starting lineup until the end of the campaign. These scoring exploits are nothing new for Trent, however, as he has scored 20-plus points in 10 different games during the current campaign. This, however, was the first time he accomplishes that feat with Toronto.
Mar 30, 2021
Improves in third game with Toronto
Trent generated 15 points (6-15 FG, 3-7 3Pt), five assists, four rebounds and two steals across 38 minutes in Monday's 118-104 loss to the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Trent's numbers should trend up as he gets acclimated to Toronto's offense, and Monday's line was encouraging despite the loss. It appears that Trent will serve as Norman Powell's replacement for the remainder of the season, as he's now started three straight games and logged an overage of 32.3 minutes over that span.
Mar 28, 2021
Struggles again in loss
Trent finished Sunday's loss to Portland with six points (2-10 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and seven rebounds in 28 minutes.
ANALYSIS
It was another rough outing for the new arrival, who debuted with eight points (0-5 3Pt) in 31 minutes against Phoenix on Friday. Trent is now 1-of-10 from beyond the arc in his first two games with the Raptors, but it's a great sign that he's made a pair of starts and is averaging 29.5 minutes for his new team.
Mar 26, 2021
Shot off in debut
Trent recorded eight points (4-11 FG, 0-5 3Pt) and one steal in 31 minutes during Friday's 104-100 loss to the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Trent started in his team debut and saw 30 minutes, which seems like the kind of workload he'll be seeing moving forward. He also fired up plenty of shots, but he couldn't get them to fall. Once he gets back on track from beyond the arc, Trent could have similar fantasy value as he did with Portland.
Mar 26, 2021
Starting in debut
Trent will start during his Raptors debut Friday against the Suns, Blake Murphy of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
In his first game as a Raptor, Trent will get the nod. Norman Powell's absence opens up about 30 minutes per game. It could be as simple as Trent filling that gap.
Mar 26, 2021
Expected to debut Friday
Trent (recently traded) is expected to play Friday against the Suns, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Just one day after being traded from the Trail Blazers, Trent is expected to make his debut with the Raptors on Friday. With Toronto, he could easily see 25-plus minutes per game for a team that's desperate for contributing rotation pieces to help make a playoff run.
Mar 25, 2021
Sent to Toronto
Trent was traded to the Raptors on Thursday, along with Rodney Hood, in exchange for Norman Powell, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Powell is a clear upgrade for the Blazers, but he'll cost them a strong young player in Trent, who filled in admirably for CJ McCollum earlier this season. An excellent outside shooter, Trent hit 39.7 percent of his threes in 41 games for the Blazers, posting averages of 15.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 3.0 made threes in 30.8 minutes per game. In Toronto, there's a good chance Trent will hang on to a major role, and he could even move into the starting lineup if the Raptors deal Kyle Lowry before the deadline.
Mar 22, 2021
Drains three three-pointers Sunday
Trent scored 16 points (6-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and tallied two steals across 22 minutes in Sunday's blowout loss to Portland.
ANALYSIS
On a night when Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum and Carmelo Anthony combined to go 0-for-16 from three-point range, Trent finished with a team-high three treys in only 22 minutes. The third-year guard has blossomed this season with career-high per-game averages of 15.1 points and 3.0 threes.
Mar 17, 2021
Solid night in return to bench role
Trent finished with 22 points (6-10 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 7-7 FT), three rebounds, one assist and two steals through 32 minutes in the 125-124 win against New Orleans on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Trent was fantastic in his return to the secondary unit during the win Tuesday. The guard has started a hefty amount of games lately and now that the Trail Blazers have gotten healthier, he retained his old role. Prior to entering the starting rotation, Trent could not quite find his spot on the team and he was hit or miss for production. However, after he received a spot in the starting rotation he averaged, 18 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists through 35.3 minutes. As long as he can somewhat carry these clips in his secondary role, he is still worthy of the stream.
Mar 16, 2021
Coming off bench
Trent will come off the bench Tuesday against the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
With CJ McCollum (foot) back in the starting five after a 25-game absence, Trent will resume a bench role. McCollum is on a minutes limit for Tuesday's game, but when he works back up to his normal 35 minutes per game, Trent's fantasy relevance could fall by the wayside.
Mar 15, 2021
Continues solid play in backcourt
Trent totaled 21 points (6-14 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 5-7 FT), four rebounds, two assists and two steals across 34 minutes in Sunday's 114-112 loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Trent and Enes Kanter have filled the huge holes left by CJ McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic. effectively saving what could have been a disastrous season for Portland. Trent has been especially superb alongside Damian Lillard, supplying threes, rebounds and assists on a nightly basis. His value will take a huge hit upon McCollum's return, but he'll continue to be relevant until that occurs.
Mar 12, 2021
Drills four threes in loss
Trent provided 17 points (5-16 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two assists, and two rebounds across 35 minutes in Thursday's 127-121 loss to the Suns.
ANALYSIS
A high shot volume is a key to Trent's success, and he's managed to record dounle-digit attempts in all but seven of his games this season. Accuracy is another issue entirely. His 42.3 percent conversion rate could use a bit of work, but it's still a decent number for a guard that heaves it up often.
Feb 27, 2021
Attempts 20 shots against Lakers
Trent tallied 19 points (8-20 FG, 2-11 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two assists, two steals and one rebound Friday in a 102-93 loss to the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Trent's stat line was largely unimpressive but still attracted significant attention. Trent has attempted 20 or more field-goal attempts twice since CJ McCollum (foot) got ruled out for at least one month on Jan. 18. This was only his third time reaching that feat, showing the volume Trent can provide during McCollum's prolonged absence.
Feb 23, 2021
Inefficient in blowout loss
Trent scored 11 points (4-18 FG, 3-12 3Pt) and added two rebounds and one steal in the Trail Blazers' 132-100 loss to the Suns on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Trent had one of his worst shooting games of the season in the blowout loss. In his third year, Trent has averaged career-highs in minutes played, points, rebounds, assists, and three-point percentage in large part due to more opportunities with CJ McCollum (foot) out of the lineup. Look for the guard to get back on track in game two of a back-to-back Tuesday.
Feb 17, 2021
Goes for 23 in win over Pels
Trent had 23 points (7-14 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 4-4 FT) in Wednesday night's win over the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Trent is averaging north of 20 points per game over his last nine contests, and he's hit at least three three-pointers in each of those games. The Duke product has emerged as a serviceable wingman for Damian Lillard (43 points, 16 assists) since C.J. McCollum went down with a foot injury in mid-January.
Feb 13, 2021
Highly efficient against Cavaliers
Trent recorded 26 points (8-12 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 6-6 FT), three rebounds and two assists over 36 minutes in Friday's 129-110 win over Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
Trent remained in the starting lineup for a 10th consecutive game Friday, and he matched his second-highest scoring total of the season while shooting 66.7 percent from the floor against the Cavaliers. The 22-year-old has been moderately productive in other areas, and he should remain involved while CJ McCollum (foot) is unavailable.
Feb 10, 2021
Puts up 15 points in win
Trent chipped in with 15 points (6-18 FG, 3-9 3Pt), six assists, four rebounds and a steal across 33 minutes in Tuesday's win over the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Trent has scored 15 or more points in seven of his last eight starts, and he has emerged as a reliable scoring threat while CJ McCollum remains sidelined with a foot injury. Trent has seen a drastic change in his usage rate and is certainly producing as a starter. He is averaging 19.4 points per game since making the jump to the starting lineup eight games ago.
Feb 6, 2021
Totals 19 points in loss
Trent added 19 points (8-20 FG, 3-11 3Pt, 0-2 FT) and six rebounds during Saturday's loss to New York.
ANALYSIS
Trent made his seventh consecutive start for Portland and once again posted at least 18 points for the sixth time during the span. It was also his eighth straight with at least 10 attempted field-goals, though the guard did struggle in this one shooting just 27 percent from three.
Feb 4, 2021
Scores team-high 24 points
Trent delivered 24 points (8-23 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, three assists and a block across 38 minutes in Thursday's win over the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Trent might have struggled from the field in this one, but he still led the Blazers in scoring with his fifth 20-point performance of the campaign, and four of those games have come across his last six appearances -- all of them as a starter. Trent has kicked it up a notch of late and is averaging 20.2 points per game since moving to the starting lineup six games ago.
Feb 3, 2021
Continues to thrive as starter
Trent registered 26 points (8-16 FG, 7-9 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds, three assists and two steals across 40 minutes in Tuesday's win over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Aside from being deadly from beyond the arc, Trent surpassed the 20-point mark for the third time since moving to a starter role five games ago. The sharpshooting guard is averaging 19.4 points per game while shooting 44.7 percent from the field and 48.9 percent from three-point range during that five-game stretch.
Jan 31, 2021
Drains four threes vs. Bulls
Trent had 18 points (6-14 FG, 4-10 3PT, 2-2 FT) and four steals in Saturday's win over Chicago.
ANALYSIS
Making his third consecutive start in the backcourt, Trent once again had an impressive showing, drilling four three-pointers and adding a season-high four steals. Trent usually can't be counted upon for that kind of defensive production, but as long as he's in an elevated role, he should continue to bomb away from beyond the arc. Over his las four games, Trent is a combined 18-of-39 from three.
Jan 29, 2021
Excels with seven threes in start
Trent recorded 23 points (8-16 FG, 7-13 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists, a steal and a blocked shot across 38 minutes in Thursday's 104-101 loss to the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Finding a suitable solution for CJ McCollum's absence is Portland's biggest issue over the next few weeks, and right now, it appears that Trent has the inside track, thanks to some injury issues plaguing Rodney Hood. Trent's line on Thursday is a perfect example of how he can pop when on a hot streak, but he has a history of inconsistency, and his potential floor suffers as a result.
Jan 28, 2021
Drawing the start
Trent will start in Thursday's game against the Rockets, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will draw his second start in a row after there was some confusion as to whether he or Rodney Hood would get the nod. He went for 22 points while draining four triples in his last start on Monday.
Jan 28, 2021
Coming off bench
Trent will come off the bench Thursday against the Rockets, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will head back to the bench as Rodney Hood (quad) is healthy and back in the starting five. During Trent's last five appearances off the bench, he's averaging 10.8 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 24.0 minutes.
Jan 25, 2021
Gets starting nod
Trent will enter the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Thunder, Brooke Olzendam of NBC Sports Northwest reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent is set to draw his first start of the season, likely sending Rodney Hood to the bench. The former second-round pick out of Duke is averaging 10.1 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 1.0 assist over his last 10 games as a reserve.
Jan 17, 2021
Totals 18 points off bench
Trent scored 18 points (7-14 FG, 4-8 3Pt) and grabbed three rebounds over 27 minutes in a win over the Hawks on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Trent took on an increased role after CJ McCollum was forced out of the game with a foot issue following the first half, and the third-year guard responded with his second-highest point total of the season. Trent also knocked down four three-pointers for the second time in his past three games, exhibiting his value as a s sharpshooter capable of spreading the floor. Trent is shooting a career-best 44.3 percent from beyond the arc this season, though his lack of peripheral stats makes him too one-dimensional to be rostered in most fantasy leagues.
Jan 14, 2021
Leads secondary unit in win
Trent recorded 16 points (6-8 FG, 4-5 3PT), one rebound, four assists and two steals in 23 minutes in the 132-126 win over Sacramento on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Trent was the focal point of Portland's secondary unit in the win Wednesday. The guard has had a rollercoaster season thus far and has found himself on more lows than highs. However, he was able to capitalize off of what was an offensive showdown. Trent has been seeing more minutes of late and has not produced with them, but did produce with lesser minutes in the win. This just shows how inconsistent the guard is and that he is not the most viable option right now.
Jan 8, 2021
Scores nine points in win
Trent recorded nine points (2-7 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT) and one rebound in 27 minutes during Thursday's 135-117 win over the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Trent has seen his minutes fluctuate lately, making him a tough player to gauge for fantasy. Prior to Thursday's 27 minutes, he saw 19 minutes and 32 minutes in the two contests after returning from injury. The Trail Blazers have a deep wing and guard rotation, and since Portland is struggling, coach Terry Stotts is probably still trying to figure out what works by experimenting with players' minutes.
Jan 2, 2021
Off injury report
Trent (calf) is off the injury report ahead of Sunday's contest against the Warriors, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent has been on the shelf the past two games due to a strained right calf, but he's expected to be back in action Sunday. During his three appearances, he's averaged 13.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 18.7 minutes.
Jan 1, 2021
Won't play Friday
Trent (calf) won't play Friday against the Warriors, Jamie Hudson of NBC Sports Northwest reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent was questionable for Friday's game while dealing with a right calf strain, but he'll ultimately be unable to take the court against Golden State. Rodney Hood and Anfernee Simons should see increased run for Portland, while Trent's next chance to play will be Sunday against the Warriors.
Dec 31, 2020
Questionable Friday
Trent (calf) is questionable for Friday's game against Golden State, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent hurt his right calf in Monday's win and wasn't available during Wednesday's game against the Clippers. He's officially questionable once again heading into Friday's tilt against the Warriors. If he's unable to play Friday, Rodney Hood and Anfernee Simons could see increased usage for the Trail Blazers.
Dec 30, 2020
Out Wednesday
Trent (calf) won't play in Wednesday's contest against the Clippers, Brooke Olzendam reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will reportedly have to sit this one out after injuring his right calf during Monday's win over the Lakers. The Duke product should be considered questionable for Portland's next matchup against Golden State on Friday. Meanwhile, Rodney Hood and Anfernee Simons may see increased run Wednesday.
Dec 29, 2020
Questionable Wednesday
Trent (calf) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Clippers, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
It appears that Trent has emerged with a sore right calf after posting 28 points in 24 minutes against the Lakers on Monday. Rodney Hood will likely see an uptick in minutes if the Trail Blazers deem Trent inactive for Wednesday's matchup.
Dec 19, 2020
Records 18 off bench
Trent had 18 points (7-18 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and one rebound in 33 minutes during a 129-96 loss to Denver on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Trent has delivered mixed performances as Portland bench's primary shooting option this preseason, with averages of 13.7 points and a 36.6 shot percentage. Trent's 21.8 minutes last season and 29.0 minutes this preseason indicate he is in line for an increased role, but the 21-year-old will need some more efficiency to be considered a reliable fantasy asset.
Dec 14, 2020
Pops for 17 points in loss
Trent compiled 17 points (7-18 FG, 3-6 3Pt), three assists, two steals and one rebound in 34 minutes during Sunday's 121-106 loss to Sacramento.
ANALYSIS
Trent soaked up a large chunk of guard minutes in the loss, attempting a team-high 18 shots. The 17 points were nice, although, his inefficiency cruelled the overall value. Trent could very well be the first guard off the bench for the Trail Blazers this season and could certainly have some spot value throughout the season. At this point, he is likely to be more of a points and threes streaming option, with the added ability to chip in on the defensive end.
Aug 30, 2020
Stellar in start
Trent finished with 16 points (5-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 4 boards, 2 assists, and 2 steals, in 40 minutes of a 131-122 loss to Los Angeles on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Trent got the start in place of Damian Lillard (knee), who left the bubble to receive treatment for an injured knee. He logged his best overall game of the series in the start, reaching series highs across the board, and knocked down a late three to keep the game close. Even with an impressive team effort to make up for the absence of Lillard, it wasn't enough to extend the series, as the outmanned Blazers couldn't keep pace with the No. 1 seeded Lakers. The loss ends Portland's season and its time in the bubble.
Aug 29, 2020
Starting for Lillard
Trent will start Saturday's Game 5 against the Lakers, Jamie Hudson of NBC Sports Northwest reports.
ANALYSIS
With Damian Lillard (knee) leaving the bubble, Trent will move into a starting role. In eight previous starts, Trent is averaging 13.3 points, 1.9 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 1.0 assists in 30.3 minutes.
Aug 15, 2020
Accrues career-high five steals
Trent tallied eight points (3-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five steals, three rebounds, two blocks and one assist in 35 minutes during Saturday's 126-122 win over the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Trent stepped up defensively in this one, finishing with a career high steal total while being called upon to cover Ja Morant down the stretch. Trent isn't known for his defensive ability but showcased his grit and determination on that end of the court. He can likely be expected to continue playing plenty of minutes off the bench for the Trail Blazers in the team's first round matchup against the Lakers.
Aug 8, 2020
Continues to thrive Saturday
Trent recorded 22 points (7-13 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one assist and one steal in 34 minutes during Saturday's 122-117 loss to the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Trent has hit another level in the bubble. Across the Blazers' first five games, he's totaled 103 points while going 28-of-45 from long distance. He's doing what he can, at least on offense, to make up for the absence of Trevor Ariza (personal), who has opted out of the restart.
Aug 6, 2020
Impresses off bench once again
Trent delivered 27 points (10-15 FG, 7-10 3Pt), four assists, three rebounds and two steals in 36 minutes off the bench during Thursday's win over the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Trent might have come off the bench in this one, but he logged the second-most minutes and finished as Portland's second-highest scorer, only behind Damian Lillard's 45-point performance. Trent sees plenty of minutes off the bench and that alone makes him a valuable fantasy asset, but he is making the most of the opportunity as well -- he has scored 16 or more points in each of his four appearances in the Orlando bubble, topping the 20-point plateau twice.
Aug 3, 2020
Huge effort off bench
Trent scored 21 points (7-12 FG, 7-11 3Pt, 0-0 FT), and added one rebound, one assist, one steal and one block in Sunday's 128-124 loss to the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Trent came off the bench in this one to play 34 minutes and did a little of everything, although his main contribution was his three-point prowess. All of his scoring came from beyond the arc, where he's made 41 percent of his shots this year. The 21-year-old has totaled 38 points in two games since the NBA resumed play.

Scores 19 points in loss
Trent notched 19 points (7-11 FG, 5-6 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists, and one steal in 29 minutes during Tuesday's 131-120 scrimmage loss to the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Trent, who is likely to be the team's backup at small forward, got the start at shooting guard in place of C.J. McCollum and delivered another solid scoring output -- that's where most of his fantasy value comes from. Trent scored in double digits in four of his last seven appearances before the season was suspended earlier this year.

Likely backup for Carmelo
Trent is considered the "most likely candidate" to serve as the primary backup to Carmelo Anthony at small forward when the Trail Blazers restart their season Friday against the Grizzlies, Jason Quick of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The 6-foot-5, 209-pound Trent has seen most of his action at shooting guard this season and is somewhat undersized for small forward, but the Trail Blazers are in need of reinforcements at the latter position with Trevor Ariza (personal) opting out of joining the team at the NBA bubble in Orlando. Coach Terry Stotts has praised Trent's work on the defensive end since the team resumed practicing, which could go a long way to helping the second-year player secure minutes behind Anthony, who is a negative defender at this stage of his career. Along with Trent, Mario Hezonja and Nassir Little could be in the mix for more minutes at small forward the rest of the way.

Demoted to bench
Trent will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against Washington.
ANALYSIS
Trent will be relegated to the second unit with Damian Lillard returning to the starting five. Across 41 games as a reserve this year, Trent's averaging 6.7 points and 1.6 rebounds in 17.8 minutes.

Pops for 24 in win
Trent scored 24 points (9-16 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT) while adding four rebounds, two assists and a block in 34 minutes during Monday's 130-107 win over the Magic.
ANALYSIS
The second-year guard had his second-best scoring performance of the season as he continues to fill in for Damian Lillard (groin) in the starting five. Over the six games Lillard has missed, Trent is averaging 14.5 points, 2.3 boards, 2.2 threes and 1.3 steals in 34.0 minutes a night. With Portland's superstar potentially returning Wednesday, however, Trent will soon return to his bench role.

Drops 20 points Thursday
Trent tallied 20 points (7-15 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-4 FT), five rebounds and one steal in 41 minutes during Thursday's 106-100 loss to Indiana.
ANALYSIS
Trent played a team-high 41 minutes in the loss, scoring at least 20 points for the first time since early February. With Damian Lillard (groin) still sidelined, it has been Trent soaking up the bulk of his minutes. Unfortunately, the production has been far from consistent; however, he is worth considering as a points and threes streamer if you can catch him on the right night.

Earns second straight start
Trent finished with six points (3-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt), two boards, two assists, one block and three steals in 34 minutes of a 107-104 win against the Pistons on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Trent started for the second consecutive game, but despite increased numbers across most of the box score, it was an inefficient shooting night for the second year guard. He'll look to bounce back against the Celtics on Tuesday.

Starting Friday
Trent will get the start at point guard in Friday's game against the Pelicans, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Trent will replace Damian Lillard (groin) in the starting lineup. He has averaged 9.5 points and 1.0 assists across 19.0 minutes in two starts this season.
Feb 10, 2020
Scores 22 in win
Trent supplied 22 points (8-11 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds and four steals in 33 minutes during Sunday's win over the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Trent topped 20 points for the third time this season, pairing an efficient stroke from long-range with his typically strong defense. The 20-year-old's seen his playing time tick up steadily over the course of the last month, as he's demonstrated his viability on both ends of the court. Through five games in February, Trent's averaging 14.8 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.0 assist per game while shooting an excellent 55.1 percent from the field and 51.6 percent from behind the arc. Considering his recent run of exceptional play, Trent could be on the verge of securing fantasy viability in standard formats.
Feb 8, 2020
Swipes four steals
Trent posted 16 points (6-13 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, four steals and one assist across 38 minutes during Friday's 117-114 loss to the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Trent burst onto the scene Jan. 18, when he dropped 30 points in Oklahoma City. He's been an excellent source of threes since then, hitting 2.9 triples on 45.3 percent in 28.6 minutes per game. He's also racked up at least two steals three times in the past 10 games. Considering how thin the Trail Blazers' bench is, there doesn't seem to be a reason for Trent to lose his role unless his shooting falls off a cliff.

Puts up defensive stats in blowout
Trent contributed 11 points (4-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, two blocks and one steal across 18 minutes Tuesday in the Trail Blazers' 127-99 loss to the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Trent's three-point production isn't anything out of the ordinary, but the three combined steals and blocks were more of an outlier for the shooting specialist. The second-year player has seemingly moved ahead of Anfernee Simons as the Blazers' first guard off the bench, but Trent's playing time and fantasy upside will still be capped while both Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum are healthy.
Jan 24, 2020
Scores 20
Trent had 20 points (7-10 FG, 6-7 3Pt), two rebounds and an assist in 31 minutes of action during the Trail Blazers' 133-125 loss to the Mavericks on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Trent was once again the only source of offense off the Portland bench. It will be interesting to see his role once the dust settles on Portland's shuffled roster and C.J. McCollum (ankle) returns to health. Trent is a capable scorer, but even if he earns a larger sixth-man role he would likely only approach fantasy relevance in deeper leagues.
Jan 19, 2020
Scores season-high 30 points
Trent Jr. had 30 points (12-18 FG, 5-9 3PT, 1-2 FT), three steals, five rebounds, one assist and one block in 36 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 119-106 loss at Oklahoma City.
ANALYSIS
Trent Jr. came out of nowhere to deliver his best scoring output of the season by a wide margin, as he took advantage of Portland's several backcourt absences to gain an extended run off the bench. He should continue to produce Monday against the Warriors, although his value will certainly reduce once the injury bug stops biting the Blazers.
