Memphis currently has two other key players (Marcus Smart and Vince Williams) out with injuries but has still enjoyed better health overall in 2024-25 compared to last season, so Jackson might have to settle for a small role in the rotation once he's up to full speed and cleared to suit up for the parent club.

These two have been great in Las Vegas, but if the Grizzlies are healthy next season, it'll be tough for either of these guys to earn enough minutes to make an impact in most 12-team leagues.

The 19-year-old rookie returned from a one-game disciplinary suspension by the Grizzlies and just missed recording his first career double-double while leading all scorers on the night and swatting away a career-high three blocks. Jackson has scored in double digits in eight of his last nine games, averaging 15.3 points, 5.2 boards, 2.2 threes, 1.2 assists, 1.0 blocks and 0.9 steals over that stretch as the 2023 second-round pick carves out a significant role in the Memphis frontcourt.

Jackson will not play in Monday's game against the Pelicans after violating a team rule, Chris Herrington of The Daily Memphian reports.

Jackson will be inactive Monday, with his next chance to take the court coming Wednesday versus Houston. The 19-year-old's misconduct comes at an momentum-halting time, as he has averaged 19.3 points and 5.5 rebounds in 28.8 minutes across his last four games.

Jackson and the Grizzlies agreed to a four-year contract on Thursday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

The 45th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, Jackson was previously on a two-way contract with the Grizzlies. He's had some really good moments in recent weeks, and he put together his best performance of the season on Thursday versus Chicago with 27 points (9-18 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 5-6 FT), nine rebounds, one assist and one steal. He'll likely see a significant role for the remainder of the season.

Jackson racked up 16 points (5-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-6 FT), five rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal across 21 minutes off the bench during Tuesday's 123-113 loss to the Knicks.

The 19-year-old rookie continues to give the injury-ravaged Grizzlies solid minutes. Jackson has scored in double digits in nine of the last 13 games, averaging 12.2 points, 4.1 boards, 1.9 threes, 1.1 assists and 0.8 blocks over 23.3 minutes a contest, and his role isn't likely to shrink until Desmond Bane (ankle) is back in action, likely near the end of the month.

Jackson will come off the bench for Tuesday's game against the Knicks.

Memphis' rotations are all over the place due to injuries across the roster. Despite the move to the second unit, Jackson figures to see a substantial amount of minutes going forward.

Jackson produced 18 points (8-24 FG, 2-10 3Pt), seven rebounds, one assist and two steals across 36 minutes during Sunday's 131-91 loss to the Celtics.

With the Grizzlies having only eight active players, Jackson drew his first career start versus Boston. The rookie second-round pick was not shy offensively but struggled with his shot, though he still delivered a quality fantasy performance thanks to his production in other categories. Jackson has played at least 18 minutes nine times since mid-January, scoring in double figures in eight of those contests, averaging 15.0 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.7 steals-plus-blocks in 27.2 minutes per game. As long as he's playing heavy minutes, Jackson should be on fantasy radars.

Jackson will start Sunday's game against the Celtics.

Jackson will make his first career start for the depleted Grizzlies, joining Jacob Gilyard, Luke Kennard, David Roddy and Trey Jemison in the starting lineup. Jackson has played at least 25 minutes six times this season, averaging 16.7 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.2 blocks in 28.3 minutes during those contests.

Jackson continues to impress off the bench, and he has now played 20-plus minutes in four of his last six games. With the Grizzlies dealing with multiple injuries, Jackson has established himself as a regular rotation player off the pine. Over his last six games, Jackson has averaged 13.0 points and 4.2 rebounds over 22.0 minutes per game.

Jackson finished Saturday's 125-96 loss to the Bulls with 10 points (2-3 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 4-6 FT) and one rebound over 19 minutes.

Jackson bounced back from a one-point outing Thursday to reach double-digit scoring for the third time in his last four games. He has seen an uptick in playing time over the last week and could continue to do so as the Grizzlies deal with multiple injuries, both short term and long term. Over his last four games, Jackson is averaging 13.5 points on 58.6 percent shooting (including 56.3 percent from three), 4.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks over 21.0 minutes per game.

Jackson finished with 23 points (6-9 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 6-8 FT), six rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals in 29 minutes during Monday's 116-107 victory over the Warriors.

Jackson delivered a second straight impressive outing off the bench, hitting the 20-point mark and logging at least 20 minutes once again. He might be useful as a streaming option given how depleted the Grizzlies are going to be in the next few games, but his long-term role remains cloudy at best, as he's not expected to have a prominent role in the rotation as Memphis gets healthier in the coming weeks. The short-term future indicates he might be a solid waiver pick up for Thursday's matchup at Minnesota.

Jackson tallied 20 points (9-14 FG, 2-4 3Pt), six rebounds, one assist and one block in 27 minutes off the bench in Saturday's 106-94 loss to the Knicks.

A two-way player, Jackson has spent most of his first professional season with the G League's Memphis Hustle, but he could be in store for an extended stay with the Grizzlies while the NBA squad contends with numerous injuries. With eight Memphis players sitting out Saturday and with Jake LaRavia (ankle) also exiting early, Jackson made the most of his season-high 27 minutes and finished as the Grizzlies' leading scorer. The 19-year-old has shown a similar knack for scoring in the G League this season, but his contributions outside of the rebounds category have often been lacking. Even so, with the Grizzlies in need of impact scoring on the second unit, Jackson could carve out of a role in the short term, though he'll be a prime candidate to see his minutes reduced if the injuries that kept Jaren Jackson (knee) and Santi Aldama (knee) out Saturday prove to be minor concerns.

Jackson was officially designated to the Memphis Hustle on Monday.

Jackson has not appeared in any of Memphis' regular-season contests despite the injury-riddled roster. Still just 18 years old, development in the G League is the priority for Jackson following an inefficient one-and-done campaign at South Carolina.

Jackson recorded 24 points (9-23 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 2-3 FT), three rebounds, an assist and a block across 26 minutes off the bench in Thursday's 103-102 preseason win loss to the Hawks.

Jackson didn't crack the starting lineup in a game where the Grizzlies rested most of their regulars, and that doesn't bode well for his already slim chances of cracking the opening roster, but he made the most of his time out there and led Memphis in scoring. He should continue seeing decent minutes in the upcoming preseason contests, starting with a matchup against the Heat on Sunday.

Jackson had two points (1-8 FG, 0-5 3Pt), one rebound and one block in 16 minutes during Sunday's 127-122 overtime victory over Indiana.

Jackson's NBA debut featured cold three-point shooting, with Memphis as a whole connecting on 21.1 percent of 38 attempts from deep. The 6-foot-9, 18-year-old is developmentally intriguing as a tough-bucket getter, but shot selection and execution are lacking. Jackson shot just 38.4 percent from the field at South Carolina last season.

The Grizzlies signed Jackson to a two-way contract Thursday.

Jackson was selected 45th overall by the Grizzlies in the 2023 NBA Draft and showed flashes of his potential in the Summer League. However, as the youngest player in the draft class, Jackson will split time between the NBA and G League in 2023-24 in order to adjust to the higher level of competition.

Jackson supplied 23 points (8-20 FG, 4-9 3PT, 3-3 FT), 10 rebounds, one block and two turnovers across 27 minutes of Thursday's 98-83 Summer League loss to Utah.

The 45th pick in the 2023 Draft, Jackson got off to a hot start with 15 points by halftime. The Grizzlies rested several players Thursday evening, allowing Jackson to step into a featured role after impressing in limited minutes in his previous two contests. As the youngest player in this draft class, Jackson clearly has some talent that the Grizzlies will slowly try to unlock.
