Effective from deep
Barnes supplied 24 points (9-15 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and one assist in 35 minutes during Monday's 135-132 win over the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was dangerous from downtown in Monday's victory, finishing second on his team in made triples behind Julian Champagnie's five treys. Barnes has been inconsistent to say the least over his last few appearances, as he was held to seven points Friday and 11 points Wednesday prior to his 24-point outburst against New Orleans.
Dec 2, 2025
Records season highs in win
Barnes compiled 31 points (10-20 FG, 7-12 3Pt, 4-5 FT), five rebounds, five assists and one steal across 36 minutes in Tuesday's 126-119 win over Memphis.
ANALYSIS
After scoring just five points on 2-for-9 shooting during Sunday's loss to Minnesota, Barnes delivered a bounce-back performance Tuesday. The veteran forward provided a game- and season-high mark in points, logging his fourth game with at least 20 points through 20 regular-season appearances. He also knocked down a season-high seven triples, sinking at least five for the second time this season.
Nov 18, 2025
Stays hot vs. Memphis
Barnes provided 23 points (9-14 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, three assists and one steal over 32 minutes during Tuesday's 111-101 win over the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Barnes reached the 20-point threshold for a second straight game by posting another strong shooting performance. He's 7-for-14 from deep over this short span and should see plenty of chances on the offensive end going forward after news broke Monday that Victor Wembanyama (calf) will miss multiple weeks.
Nov 16, 2025
Hits for 20 against Kings
Barnes posted 20 points (7-11 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, three assists and two steals over 30 minutes during Sunday's 123-110 win over Sacramento.
ANALYSIS
The veteran forward delivered his second-best scoring performance of the season while also staying busy defensively. Over the last 10 games, Barnes is averaging 13.9 points, 3.0 boards, 3.0 threes, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals.
Nov 13, 2025
Tacks three steals in loss
Barnes supplied 11 points (4-9 FG, 3-6 3Pt), two rebounds, one block and three steals over 25 minutes during Wednesday's 125-120 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Barnes has now logged double-digit scoring performances in seven of his last eight appearances, averaging 14.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.3 steals, 0.3 blocks and 3.3 threes on a blistering 57.8 percent clip in that span. While all the attention offensively and defensively will be on Victor Wembanyama, Stephon Castle and De'Aaron Fox, Barnes has shown he is capable of knocking down shots and making plays when his number is called.
Nov 9, 2025
Efficient scoring continues
Barnes chipped in 15 points (6-8 FG, 3-5 3Pt) and two rebounds across 28 minutes during Saturday's 126-119 win over New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Barnes shot at least 50 percent for the fourth straight game, continuing his strong recent play. Over the past four games, he has averaged 16,5 points per game, shooting an impressive 67.7 percent from the floor. We have a big enough sample size to know that this efficiency won't last forever. While he should be rostered in most formats, that time will almost certainly come to an end at some point.
Oct 31, 2025
Scores 10 points in win
Barnes totaled 10 points (3-8 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, two assists and two steals over 31 minutes during Thursday's 107-101 victory over Miami.
ANALYSIS
The Spurs are off to a 5-0 start, and Barnes has locked down a significant role on the wings. His fantasy value hasn't been the greatest, however, as he's averaging 9.2 points, 2.8 assists, 1.6 rebounds, 0.8 steals, 0.4 blocks and 1.6 three-pointers in 30.5 minutes per contest.
Oct 23, 2025
Empty performance Wednesday
Barnes ended Wednesday's 125-92 victory over the Mavericks with seven points (3-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist across 30 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Barnes offered very little in terms of tangible production, a trend we have seen across each of the past two seasons. While he is likely to remain in the starting lineup, his impact is rarely felt across fantasy circles. At this point, there is no reason to be roatering him outside of deeper formats.
Oct 6, 2025
Rough night in preseason opener
Barnes managed two points (0-3 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, two steals and one assist in 15 minutes during Monday's 119-88 preseason victory.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was quiet during the preseason win, failing to convert from the field. Although he continues to be a picture of health, Barnes' production has diminished in recent times, coming off a season during which he averaged just 12.3 points per game. The Spurs are primed to make a push this season after having added some much-needed depth during the offseason. While Barnes will likely play a sizeable role, it wouldn't be surprising to see him scaled back at certain points.
Apr 14, 2025
Scores 18 points in finale
Barnes notched 18 points (4-10 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 8-8 FT), five rebounds, one assist and three steals across 34 minutes during Sunday's 125-118 win over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was remarkably durable this season, playing all 82 games for the third straight season. His fantasy production left a lot to be desired, however, as Barnes finished outside the top-150 in standard leagues for per-game value with 12.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.5 steals and 1.9 three-pointers on 50.8 percent from the field and 80.9 percent from the line.
Apr 10, 2025
Hits game-winning three in stunner
Barnes ended Wednesday's 114-111 win over Golden State with 20 points (6-9 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one steal over 36 minutes.
ANALYSIS
After committing a costly foul that allowed the Warriors to tie it up, Barnes drilled the three over Jimmy Butler's head after grabbing the inbound pass with seconds remaining. Barnes disappointed with just six points when the Spurs lost a 108-106 squeaker to the Warriors at the end of March, but he's sizzled on the court since the mediocre showing. Over the last six games, Barnes averaged 21.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.3 steals.
Apr 9, 2025
Paces team with 24 points
Barnes ended with 24 points (8-10 FG, 6-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, one assist and three steals across 31 minutes during Tuesday's 122-117 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Barnes' totals were aided by six three-pointers, marking his second-highest total of the season in the category. Barnes' production has crept up the past couple of weeks, with five scoring totals over 20 points in five of his last six games.
Apr 5, 2025
Pops for 23 against Cavs
Barnes amassed 23 points (7-14 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 5-6 FT) and one assist over 30 minutes during Friday's 114-113 loss to the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
The veteran forward has scored at least 20 points in three straight games, the first time he's accomplished that feat since mid-November. Barnes has been a reliable presence from the outside in the Spurs' offense this season, draining at least one three-pointer in 23 straight games while averaging 13.3 points, 2.7 boards, 2.3 treys and 1.5 assists over that stretch and shooting 51.7 percent from the floor and 44.3 percent from beyond the arc.
Apr 1, 2025
Paces San Antonio in loss
Barnes closed Tuesday's 116-105 loss to the Magic with 24 points (9-14 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two steals and one rebound over 29 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Barnes delivered a bounce-back performance following Sunday's blowout loss to Golden State, during which he posted only six points while shooting 2-for-6 from the field. The veteran forward tied the game-high mark in points Tuesday, logging just his second game with at least 20 points since the All-Star break. Barnes was extremely efficient from beyond the arc against Orlando, though entering Tuesday, he had shot only 29.6 percent from downtown in his last five appearances.
Mar 23, 2025
Quiet in blowout win
Barnes totaled 10 points (4-9 FG, 2-6 3Pt) and three rebounds across 20 minutes during Sunday's 123-89 win over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Barnes reached double digits in scoring for seventh time in his last eight appearances, but he didn't make a noteworthy impact in other areas of the stat sheet. The veteran forward has averaged 14.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 2.1 three-pointers while shooting 61.1 percent from the floor through his last eight games, but his lack of contributions across the board leaves him with minimal fantasy appeal outside of the points category.
Mar 16, 2025
Logs 19 points in victory
Barnes closed with 19 points (6-9 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds and one steal over 27 minutes during Saturday's 119-115 win over the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Barnes signed a three-year deal with the Spurs in the offseason, and the team will lean on his veteran presence with Victor Wembanyama (shoulder) and De'Aaron Fox (finger) out for the season. Barnes has had a productive March, averaging 15.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.0 assists over eight games.
Mar 11, 2025
Leads San Antonio in defeat
Barnes accumulated 29 points (12-14 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 1-3 FT), eight rebounds, one block and one steal over 38 minutes during Monday's 133-129 loss to Dallas.
ANALYSIS
Barnes finished with a game- and season-high mark in points during an extremely efficient performance, albeit in a losing effort. The veteran forward also sank four triples en route to his ninth 20-plus-point outing during the 2024-25 campaign. Barnes has now connected on four or more triples in eight of his 63 regular-season appearances. The 32-year-old also logged a steal and a block for just the third time on the season Monday.
Mar 3, 2025
Scores 14 points in loss
Barnes contributed 14 points (5-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound and two assists over 29 minutes during Sunday's 146-132 loss to Oklahoma City.
ANALYSIS
While this performance was a step in the right direction, Barnes has been a tough sell in standard fantasy leagues lately. Over his last 10 outings, Barnes has turned a 15.0 percent usage rate into averages of 10.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 2.5 three-pointers. The problem is that he's also averaging 0.2 steals and 0.1 blocks while shooting 41.7 percent from the field.
Feb 8, 2025
Struggles in loss Friday
Barnes registered eight points (4-9 FG, 0-4 3Pt), four rebounds, two assists and one steal in 22 minutes during Friday's 117-116 loss to the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Barnes continues to deliver modest production, scoring fewer than 15 points for the fourth straight game. During that span, he is averaging just 9.3 points and 4.3 rebounds in 25.0 minutes per game. His spot in the starting five appears relatively safe but as we have seen recently, he is not playing what might be considered typical starters' minutes.
Jan 30, 2025
Season-high seven assists in loss
Barnes contributed 15 points (4-8 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, seven assists, one block and two steals over 30 minutes during Wednesday's 128-116 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Barnes put together a solid all-around performance in Wednesday's loss to the Clippers, shooting 50 percent from the floor and dishing out a season-high seven assists. The veteran remains essential for the Spurs as San Antonio tries to turn things around this season and compete for a playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Jan 25, 2025
Leads San Antonio in loss
Barnes finished with 25 points (9-14 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 4-7 FT), seven rebounds and one assist in 29 minutes during Saturday's 136-98 loss to Indiana.
ANALYSIS
Barnes logged 12 of his 25 points in the third quarter and finished as the club's leading scorer, albeit in a losing effort. The 32-year-old has recorded 20 or more points in each of his last two outings (both against Indiana), during which he has amassed 45 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and two steals in 55 total minutes. The veteran forward's scoring numbers have declined, though he is on pace to shoot a career-high 50.0 percent from the field through 43 regular-season games.
Jan 23, 2025
Balanced game in 20-point showing
Barnes supplied 20 points (9-10 FG, 2-2 3Pt), seven rebounds, three assists and two steals over 26 minutes during Thursday's 140-110 victory over Indiana.
ANALYSIS
Barnes provided a nice lift on both ends of the floor in Thursday's blowout victory, recording a team-high-tying steals total while finishing as one of three Milwaukee players with 20 or more points. Barnes has tallied at least 20 points in six contests this season while reaching double figures in eight straight appearances. Barnes, who set a new season high in steals Thursday, has notched at least 20 points and seven boards in four outings.
Jan 14, 2025
Efficient in win vs. Lakers
Barnes ended Monday's 126-102 win over the Lakers with 17 points (5-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 6-6 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one steal across 32 minutes.
ANALYSIS
The Spurs cruised to a 24-point victory over the Lakers and Barnes played a prominent role in the win, making his presence felt on both ends of the court and showing an efficient touch from the floor. The veteran forward has been playing well in recent weeks, scoring in double digits in all but one of his last seven contests while averaging 15.1 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game in that span.
Jan 4, 2025
Scores 22 points in OT loss
Barnes logged 22 points (8-14 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, three assists and one block over 33 minutes during Saturday's 122-111 overtime loss to Denver.
ANALYSIS
Barnes had a solid showing on both ends of the court Saturday, though most of his contributions came in the scoring column. This was his fifth game with at least 20 points this season, and it's worth noting two of those outings have come across his last four appearances. He's also notched double-digit points thrice over that four-game stretch.
Dec 30, 2024
Nearly perfect from field Sunday
Barnes logged 24 points (8-9 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT) and five rebounds over 34 minutes during Sunday's 112-110 loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Barnes missed just one shot from the field en route to one of his most efficient scoring performances of the campaign. The veteran forward snapped a streak of five games with single-scoring performances. Despite his inconsistencies in the scoring column, Barnes is still productive as a streaming alternative. He's averaging 9.2 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game since the beginning of December.
Dec 23, 2024
Puts up donut in Monday's loss
Barnes had zero points (0-5 FG, 0-5 3Pt) and one rebound in 20 minutes during Monday's 111-106 loss to Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was unable to tally a single point for the 12th time of his 13-year NBA career as he failed to knock down each of his five field-goal attempts, all of which came from beyond the arc. He isn't expected to be the focal point of the Spurs' offense due to the presence of Victor Wembanyama Devin Vassell, but San Antonio could've done with a bigger scoring output from Barnes in Monday's narrow loss. Barnes will look to get on track against the Knicks on Christmas Day.
Dec 9, 2024
Hits three triples
Barnes accumulated 16 points (4-6 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), one rebound, three assists and one steal across 32 minutes during Sunday's 121-116 victory over the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Barnes snapped out of a brutal slump with this performance. In his previous four games, Barnes was held to eight points or less, hitting a combined 9-for-30 from the field in that span. Fantasy managers will be looking to see if the veteran can find the consistency he showed for most of November.
Dec 4, 2024
Held to two points
Barnes closed Tuesday's 104-93 loss to the Suns with two points (1-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist over 24 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Barnes had a monster run towards the end of November, but he has since hit a speed bump. Over his last four outings, he's averaged just 9.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 three-pointers. A lower usage rate could be the norm now that the Spurs are getting healthier.
Nov 28, 2024
Extends solid stretch of play
Barnes supplied 19 points (6-10 FG, 5-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and two rebounds across 33 minutes during Wednesday's 119-101 loss to the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Barnes didn't do much outside of the scoring column, but fantasy managers won't have a problem with that if he continues to score at the same rate he's done in recent weeks. The veteran forward has scored at least 19 points in four of his last five appearances, a span in which he's averaging 18.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game while shooting 58 percent from the floor.
Nov 24, 2024
Extends productive stretch
Barnes posted 22 points (7-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 6-8 FT), eight rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 32 minutes during Saturday's 104-94 win over the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was extremely efficient in this win Saturday and missed just one of his eight shots from the field en route to posting his second-best scoring mark of the campaign. Barnes has scored at least 20 points in three contests in a row, and while the veteran struggled in the early stages of the season, he seems to be turning things around based on the displays he's had over the last week.
Nov 21, 2024
First double-double of season
Barnes notched 25 points (8-13 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 10 rebounds and one assist in 36 minutes during Thursday's 126-118 win over the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Barnes has been heavily criticized this season since he's not producing at a high level despite being one of the most experienced players on the Spurs roster, but he certainly made an impact in this game. The veteran forward recorded season-high marks in both points and rebounds en route to his first double-double in 2024-25. He might be trending in the right direction after recording back-to-back games with at least 20 points while hitting the 10-point plateau in six of his last eight appearances.
Nov 20, 2024
Steps up in victory
Barnes posted 20 points (6-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 5-8 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and one steal over 32 minutes during Tuesday's 110-104 win over the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Wednesday's line showed that you can never count Barnes out for elite production. He added a nice rebound total to his usual sharpshooting, and picked up some of the missed output from Victor Wembanyama's (knee) absence.
Nov 14, 2024
Monotonous season continues
Barnes closed Wednesday's 139-130 win over the Wizards with 10 points (2-5 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and one block in 30 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Barnes continues to do very little in terms of production, continuing what has been a lethargic start to the season. Through 12 games, the veteran is averaging just 9.8 points and 3.9 rebounds despite playing 28.7 minutes per game. At this point, he is more of a placeholder than a viable contributor.
Nov 7, 2024
Woeful showing Wednesday
Barnes had two points (1-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one rebound and one assist across 18 minutes during Wednesday's 127-100 loss to the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Barnes has been extremely inconsistent at the start of the season, and while he showed glimpses of being a productive fantasy option amid a decent start to the campaign, the wheels have fallen off quickly. He's scored in single digits in three of his last four outings and hasn't even reached the five-point plateau in the previous two. He's averaging just 6.7 points per game since the beginning of November.
Oct 29, 2024
Serves up nothing in loss
Barnes finished with two points (0-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and three rebounds across 29 minutes during Monday's 106-101 loss to the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was invisible in the loss, demonstrating why he cannot be trusted as a viable fantasy asset. Although he has had a couple of serviceable performances to begin the season, we saw here just how bad he can be when his offense is not clicking. Outside of deeper formats, Barnes is not someone who needs to be rostered.
Oct 8, 2024
Makes San Antonio preseason debut
Barnes tallied six points (2-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds and three assists in 20 minutes during Monday's 112-107 preseason loss to the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was traded from the Kings to the Spurs this offseason in a deal that sent DeMar DeRozan to San Antonio. Barnes should continue to be one of the team's starting forwards and his 38.7 percent shooting from three in 2023-24 should give optimal spacing for Victor Wembanyama.
Jul 6, 2024
Traded to San Antonio
Barnes has been traded to the Spurs as part of the deal that sent DeMar DeRozan to the Kings, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Barnes spent the 2023-24 season as the starting small forward for the Kings, and he should have the same role in a rebuilding Spurs team that also added Chris Paul in free agency. Barnes averaged 10.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 71 regular-season appearances for Sacramento in 2023-24.
Apr 15, 2024
Puts up 17 points in finale
Barnes supplied 17 points (5-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-7 FT), five rebounds, three assists and two steals over 31 minutes during Sunday's 121-82 victory over the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Although Barnes is a shot-dependent fantasy option, he's stepped up to absorb most of the production left by Kevin Huerter (shoulder) and Malik Monk (knee). The veteran enjoyed a lot of playoff experience during his tenure with the Warriors, averaging 10.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.3 assist in 71 appearances. He'll get a chance to further his playoff resume against his former team this week.
Apr 12, 2024
Solid with 22 points
Barnes accumulated 22 points (9-15 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, four assists and one steal over 32 minutes during Thursday's 135-123 loss to the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Barnes' veteran presence will be critical to the team's success in the play-in bracket, Although the Kings are limping into the final week, Barnes has done a great job of absorbing the output lost by Kevin Huerter (shoulder) and Malik Monk (knee).
Apr 8, 2024
Role shrinking
Barnes closed Sunday's 107-77 win over Brooklyn with two points (1-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt) across 11 minutes.
ANALYSIS
With the Kings fighting for every win in a tightly contested Western Conference playoff race, Barnes has seen his usage dry up as coach Mike Brown gives more minutes to second-unit players like Trey Lyles and Davion Mitchell. Barnes has scored in single digits in six of the last nine games and played 15 minutes or less in two of the last three, and the 31-year-old forward seems dangerously close to dropping out of the rotation entirely.
Apr 1, 2024
Set for big usage boost
Barnes had 24 points (9-12 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds and two assists across 29 minutes during Sunday's 127-106 victory over the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Malik Monk's (knee) has joined Kevin Huerter (shoulder) with a long-term injury, leaving the door wide open for Barnes to make a significant impact. He delivered on Sunday, striping five three-pointers during an impressive sharpshooting display. The veteran will now assume a critical role during Sacramento's push to the playoffs.
Mar 30, 2024
Misses game-tying three-pointer
Barnes closed with 20 points (8-19 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds and two assists over 40 minutes during Friday's 107-103 loss to the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Despite coming up short in the final minute, Barnes provided excellent support amid Kevin Huerter's (shoulder) absence, and his veteran presence will serve the Kings well as they continue their playoff push. Barnes' record has been spotty during the month of March, but he's in line for an upward trend with Huerter sidelined. The lineup adjustment should result in increased shot volume, and Barnes usually finishes well when he has 10 or more shot attempts.
Mar 24, 2024
Monotonous performance Saturday
Barnes totaled nine points (3-10 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT) and four rebounds across 37 minutes during Saturday's 109-107 victory over Orlando.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was a non-factor in the win, despite playing 37 minutes. In true Barnes fashion, he did nothing to excite fantasy managers, proving why he should be considered a viable asset in deeper formats only. With his best years now behind him, there is no reason to think anything changes for the remainder of the season and beyond.
Mar 14, 2024
Gets buckets Wednesday
Barnes posted 23 points (8-15 FG, 7-11 3Pt), two rebounds and two assists in 38 minutes during Wednesday's 120-107 win over the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Barnes is on fire from beyond the arc, compiling 11-for-18 shooting from deep across his last two games, with Wednesday representing his fifth occasion of the season posting at least five made threes. Barnes' workload has fluctuated of late, and he isn't contributing much outside of the scoring column, but he is carrying serious shooting momentum into Saturday's game against the Knicks
Mar 8, 2024
Efficient performance in win
Barnes ended with 17 points (6-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 5-5 FT), one rebound and two assists over 30 minutes during Thursday's 131-129 win over San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
Barnes is on pace to average his fewest points per game since his final year in Golden State (2015-16) and career lows in rebounds and assists. It hasn't been a good campaign for the veteran, but he has scored in double figures in seven of Sacramento's last eight games. However, he's still not doing enough overall to be a must-roster player in standard leagues despite averaging 29.3 minutes per game.
Feb 26, 2024
Excels with 22 points
Barnes chipped in 22 points (8-12 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-3 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal across 36 minutes during Sunday's 123-107 victory over the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Players like Kevin Huerter and Keegan Murray have endured their share of struggles recently, but Barnes' veteran presence has kept the ship upright at the wing. The pure shooter remains effective although he also has the tendency to underperform with the occasional single-digit total. Barnes can achieve his upside with a dialed-in three-point shot, and he drilled four from downtown in the win.
Feb 12, 2024
Delivers 14 points in loss
Barnes notched 14 points (4-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT) and one rebound across 21 minutes during Sunday's 127-113 loss to the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Barnes has failed to reach the 15-point mark in his last three appearances. While the veteran forward should continue to see decent minutes in a starting role, his production hasn't been eye-popping, particularly for fantasy purposes. Barnes is averaging 14.3 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game across six outings in February.
Feb 6, 2024
Another 20-point game
Barnes closed Monday's 136-110 loss to the Cavaliers with 22 points (8-15 FG, 6-10 3Pt), one rebound and one steal over 30 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Barnes has compiled seven 20-point games across 49 appearances this season, with five coming in his past seven games. He is averaging a huge 36.0 minute workload over that span, which combines with his ongoing three-point prowess to form a solid fantasy floor. Barnes will look to carry his momentum into Wednesday's game against Detroit's 28th-ranked defense.
Jan 28, 2024
Revival continues
Barnes closed with 20 points (6-11 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 4-5 FT), six rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal across 38 minutes during Saturday's 120-115 win over Dallas.
ANALYSIS
Barnes is on fire across his last three games, posting 15-for-27 shooting from deep. The 31-year-old has started all 44 contests for Sacramento thus far, but his 11.9 points per game is lowest total since the 2015-16 season. That figure is on the rise, but estimating where Barnes will level out after the ongoing, unsustainable hot streak is difficult. Barnes has compiled just 12 games with more than 15 points this season. Notably, he is connecting on a career-best 41.6 percent of 4.6 threes per game.
Jan 26, 2024
Posts 39 points with seven threes
Barnes contributed 39 points (14-24 FG, 7-12 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, one block and two steals in 40 minutes during Thursday's 134-133 victory over the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Barnes scored 30-plus points for the second consecutive game, signaling the team's willingness to let the veteran loose when he's dialed in. Barnes heaved up a season-high 24 shots, blowing past a record he set in the previous game, and crushed his season high beyond the arc as well. Barnes has logged several single-digit scoring performances, but his current two-game run is proof of his continued value.
Jan 23, 2024
Explodes for 32 points
Barnes contributed 32 points (10-20 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 8-8 FT), four rebounds and one steal over 30 minutes during Monday's 122-107 victory over the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Barnes notched his second 30-plus point performance of the season in the victory. The veteran hit shots all over the court and helped the Kings build a big lead in the second quarter that they never surrendered. Despite his standout play against the Hawks, Barnes' numbers are on pace to hit career lows in many categories in his 12th season. Over 42 games, Barnes is averaging 11.1 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists.
Jan 10, 2024
Minimal impact in win
Barnes logged zero points (0-1 FG, 0-2 FT), one rebound and one assist over 14 minutes during Tuesday's 131-110 victory over the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Barnes failed to score for the first time this season during Tuesday's win over the Pistons. Despite starting, the veteran forward played as many or fewer minutes than Trey Lyles, Malik Monk and Juan Toscano-Anderson.
Jan 3, 2024
Posts another quiet performance
Barnes produced three points (1-2 FG, 1-2 3Pt), one rebound, one assist and two steals in 24 minutes during Tuesday's 111-104 loss to the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Barnes took a noticeable backseat on offense Tuesday, putting up just two shots (both from beyond the arc) despite playing 24 minutes. He finished with a single-digit point total for the third time over his past four contests, and he hasn't been productive in other categories either, averaging just 2.0 rebounds and 0.5 assists during that span. Statistically, Barnes has dropped to being the fifth-best scorer for the Kings this season, averaging 11.1 points over 29.8 minutes per game.
Dec 19, 2023
Scores 19 points in win
Barnes ended with 19 points (8-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT) and one steal in 34 minutes during Monday's 143-131 victory over Washington.
ANALYSIS
Barnes didn't do anything -- outside of a steal -- other than scoring in this game, but given the contest turned out to be closer than many expected, his contributions were valued as the Kings brushed off the challenge of a combative Wizards team. Barnes has been inconsistent with his scoring figures and has reached double-digit points in just four of his last nine games, and he will continue handling a secondary role in an offense led by two established stars in De'Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis.
Dec 13, 2023
Held to two points
Barnes put up two points (1-3 FG, 0-2 3Pt), one rebound and one assist over 19 minutes during Tuesday's 119-99 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Barnes' production over the course of the season has been very up and down thus far, with Tuesday's game being his season low in scoring. Over his last 10 contests prior to Tuesday night, Barnes is averaging 12.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.3 blocks through 32.4 minutes, so expect him to get back on track Thursday against Oklahoma City.
Nov 25, 2023
Pops for 18 in Friday's win
Barnes supplied 18 points (7-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one steal over 33 minutes during Friday's 124-111 win over the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
The veteran forward has had to settle for a secondary role in the Kings' offense to begin the season as De'Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis dominate the ball, but Barnes has still scored at least 12 points in four straight games. His 12.6 points per game is his lowest average since 2015-16 however, and his 8.8 FG attempts per game is his lowest volume since 2014-15. Barring an injury to one of the team's younger stars, Barnes' role doesn't figure to grow.
Nov 23, 2023
Scores 22 points in loss
Barnes notched 22 points (6-13 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 6-6 FT) and three rebounds across 41 minutes during Wednesday's 117-112 loss to the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was efficient from the field en route to his highest-scoring outing since the regular-season opener. The veteran's 13 shot attempts were also his most since Opening Night and marked just the fourth time this season he's hoisted double-digit attempts. Barnes' increased offensive activity was likely due to Keegan Murray's (back) absence. It's unclear how long Murray will be sidelined, but Barnes figures to see an uptick in production until the second-year forward is cleared to return.
Nov 16, 2023
Scores in double figures
Barnes recorded 13 points (5-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt), one rebound, two assists and four steals across 39 minutes during Wednesday's 125-110 victory over the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was held to single-digit scoring totals in his last two appearances but bounced back Wednesday while logging double-digit field-goal attempts for just the second time this year. The 31-year-old also tallied a season-high four steals in the comfortable win. Barnes has been relatively inconsistent early in the 2023-24 campaign and is averaging 11.4 points and 2.9 rebounds in 30.9 minutes per game.
Nov 7, 2023
Held to three points
Barnes finished with three points (1-6 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and one assist over 22 minutes during Monday's 122-97 loss to Houston.
ANALYSIS
This was easily Barnes' worst game of the season as the Kings fell to 2-4. De'Aaron Fox (ankle) being out should in theory mean more production for Barnes, so hopefully he can get himself going against Portland on Wednesday.
Oct 25, 2023
Near-perfect first half in win
Barnes registered 33 points (11-16 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 6-6 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one steal over 33 minutes in Wednesday's 130-114 win over the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Barnes shot 10 of 11 from the floor in the first half to help the Kings build a double-digit lead heading into the break. He cooled down in the second half but still finished the night as the leading scorer in the game. Barnes is playing his fifth full season with the Kings after being traded from the Mavericks in the 2018-19 season and signed a three-year, $54 million contract extension over the offseason. His veteran presence and versatility were key for the Kings' postseason run last year and he will serve as a stable, complimentary piece in the starting lineup beside All-Stars De'Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis.
Oct 12, 2023
Scores 15 in defeat
Barnes tallied 15 points (5-11 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, one assist and one steal in 21 minutes during Wednesday's 109-101 preseason loss to the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was efficient from beyond the arc Wednesday and posted the second-highest scoring total on the team, but he was unable to generate much production in other areas during the loss. The 31-year-old appeared in all 82 games for the Kings last season and should play a key role once again during the 2022-23 campaign after signing a three-year extension during the offseason.
Jun 29, 2023
Agrees to 3-year extension
Barnes has agreed to a three-year contract extension worth $54 million, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
ANALYSIS
This news comes as no surprise, as Barnes was instrumental in Sacramento's rise up the Western Conference standings. Barnes appeared in all 82 games during the 2022-23 season, averaging 15.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.6 three-pointers on 47.3 percent shooting. Look for him to play a significant role once again next season due to his ability to play both forward spots.
Apr 30, 2023
Abysmal line in final game
Barnes totaled four points (1-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-4 FT) across 14 minutes during Sunday's 120-100 loss to the Warriors in Game 7 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was unable to make an impact in the loss, and the team relied on Malik Monk to pick up the slack while Barnes and Kevin Huerter struggled. Barnes' result matched his second-worst total of the season, with the other four-point result also coming against the Warriors back in late October.
Apr 21, 2023
Empty performance in loss
Barnes totaled 17 points (6-10 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-4 FT) and one rebound over 34 minutes during Thursday's 114-97 loss to Golden State in Game 3 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.
ANALYSIS
Barnes accumulated 17 points but as per usual, added very little outside of scoring. In fact, it's hard to reason with the fact he grabbed just one rebound in 34 minutes. While he continues to be a scoring threat, his lack of overall production is something that seems unshakeable at this point.
Apr 18, 2023
Records three steals in Game 2 win
Barnes closed Monday's 114-106 victory over the Warriors in Game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals with 13 points (5-13 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 3-5 FT), six rebounds, one assist and three steals across 34 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Barnes has been the definition of steady to start the opening-round series against his former team. He's totaled 26 points (10-24 FG), 13 rebounds, three assists and six steals across 70 minutes, but he may have to take his game to another level if Domantas Sabonis (ribs) is forced to miss any time.
Apr 15, 2023
Clear for Game 1
Barnes (ankle) isn't listed on the injury report for Saturday's Game 1 clash with the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Barnes tweaked his ankle at the end of Wednesday's practice, but he's been omitted from the injury report, indicating he will claim his usual role for the Kings on Saturday. Barnes closed the regular season averaging 15.4 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals over 29.0 minutes in the last five games, but he figures to log 30-plus minutes in the team's playoff run.
Apr 13, 2023
Hurts ankle, expects to play
Barnes suffered a minor tweak to his ankle at the end of Wednesday's practice but expects to play Saturday against the Warriors, Brenden Nunes of The Sacramento Bee reports.
ANALYSIS
Barnes started all 82 regular-season games for the Kings this year and appears to be on track for Game 1 of the Western Conference First Round despite his ankle issue. He scored in double figures in his final six regular-season appearances, averaging 14.7 points and 2.3 rebounds in 29.2 minutes per game.
Apr 5, 2023
Another unexciting performance
Barnes provided 16 points (5-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 5-5 FT), one assist and three steals in 31 minutes during Tuesday's 121-103 victory over New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Despite scoring double-digits yet again Tuesday, Barnes failed to get anyone excited with his performance. While the three steals were certainly a nice bonus, given he is averaging just 0.7 per game, it's reasonably safe to assume this was just an outlier. He is technically a standard league asset, although he is also a perfect example of a ranking not necessarily providing a true reflection of a player's impact.
Mar 28, 2023
Scores 19 points in loss
Barnes contributed 19 points (5-12 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 9-11 FT), five rebounds and one assist over 35 minutes during Monday's 119-115 loss to Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Barnes failed to make a three-pointer, but he was busy at the charity stripe and extended his double-digit scoring streak to 15 games. During that stretch, the veteran forward has averaged 16.8 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 33.3 minutes per game.
Mar 22, 2023
Another double figure performance
Barnes logged 11 points (3-7 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds and one assist in 25 minutes during Tuesday's 132-109 loss to the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Barnes extended his double-digit scoring streak to 12 games, but he hasn't scored more than 19 points since March 4. Given his lack of production in the defensive categories, Barnes need prolific offensive numbers to be a true fantasy asset, which just hasn't been the case recently. Since the All-Star break (15 games), Barnes has averaged 15.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 32.8 minutes.
Mar 14, 2023
Scores 14 points in loss
Barnes chipped in 14 points (4-9 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 3-3 FT) and four rebounds over 30 minutes during Monday's 133-124 loss to the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Barnes drained three threes but didn't make a significant impact on the offensive end in this loss against Milwaukee. He's been very efficient of late, however, scoring in double digits in seven games in a row and shooting 52.6 percent from the field in that span.
Mar 12, 2023
Pens efficient scoring outing
Barnes finished Saturday's 128-119 win over the Suns with 19 points (6-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 6-6 FT) and six rebounds across 37 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Barnes led the way in a balanced scoring night for the Kings, who had six players finish with between 12 and 19 points. Though he was able to get his points efficiently, Barnes was lacking in much notable production outside of the rebounds column, which has been a common theme with his stat lines. Over his last five games, Barnes is averaging just 1.0 assists, 1.0 three-pointers, 0.4 steals and 0.2 blocks per contest.
Mar 4, 2023
Delivers 20 points, seven boards
Barnes notched 20 points (6-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 8-8 FT) and seven rebounds in 37 minutes during Friday's 128-127 win over the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Barnes has yet to record a double-double this season, but he's ended three rebounds or fewer away from reaching that feat in each of his last two appearances. Even though the veteran forward plays a secondary role in the Kings' offensive scheme behind De'Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis, he's still averaging 14.2 points per game since the start of February.
Mar 1, 2023
Erupts for 29 points Tuesday
Barnes recorded 29 points (8-13 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 9-10 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and one block in 37 minutes during Tuesday's 123-117 win over the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Barnes stepped up on the offensive end in the win, scoring 29 points, the most he has scored in more than six weeks. With De'Aaron Fix (wrist) sidelined, Barnes took it upon himself to shoulder more of the scoring responsibility, rewarding anyone who managed to stream him in. While he can have limited value thanks to his ability to score the basketball, Barnes' lack of peripheral numbers usually keeps his fantasy appeal relatively low.
Feb 15, 2023
Empty performance again Tuesday
Barnes finished with 11 points (4-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and two rebounds across 36 minutes during Tuesday's 120-109 loss to Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
Barnes continues to offer up buckets full of nothing, ending with 11 points in 36 minutes. Thanks to his empty skillset, Barnes now sits well outside the top 150 over the past month. His points production can be valuable for streaming purposes but outside of that, he should not be on the radar as a long-term asset outside of deeper formats.
Jan 29, 2023
Lives at the line Saturday
Barnes recorded 13 points (1-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 10-11 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one steal across 37 minutes during Saturday's 117-110 loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was woeful from the field Saturday but somewhat salvaged his night by going 10-of-11 from the charity stripe. Much like his teammate Keegan Murray, Barnes has very little to fall back on when his shot isn't falling. He is currently averaging 15.4 points per game this season, sitting just inside the top 120 in standard formats. Technically, he can be looked at as a 12-team commodity, when in reality, he is more of a points streamer on most nights.
Jan 22, 2023
Pours in 27 points in loss
Barnes amassed 27 points (8-13 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 5-7 FT), four rebounds and one assist across 38 minutes during Saturday's 129-127 loss to the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Barnes turned in his third-highest scoring total of the season in the loss. He's turned in some excellent totals throughout the month, including a season high of 30 points against Orlando two weeks ago. The depth chart is crowded with young talent but Barnes has kept them at bay, offering an invaluable veteran presence in the starting lineup.
Jan 16, 2023
Game-high 29 points
Barnes had 29 points (8-11 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 9-11 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one block in 39 minutes during Sunday's 132-119 win over the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was incredibly efficient throughout the contest, registering 15 first-half points on 5-of-8 shooting from the field before going a perfect 3-of-3 over the final two quarters for additional 14 points. The small forward went 4-of-6 from beyond the arc and also matched a season high with 11 free-throw attempts in the contest. He's now averaging 22.1 points per game in the month of January, shooting 55.7 percent from the field and 51.8 percent from three over that span.
Jan 14, 2023
Racks up 27 points in blowout win
Barnes posted 27 points (8-14 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 6-6 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and one steal over 36 minutes during Friday's 139-114 victory over Houston.
ANALYSIS
Barnes led the Kings in scoring Friday on the strength of an efficient 5-for-8 mark from three-point range. The veteran forward also finished second the team in rebounds and made all six of his attempts from the charity stripe. Though Barnes isn't a big contributor of peripheral stats, he's maintained low-end fantasy value by averaging 14.9 points and 1.6 triples per contest while shooting 48.1 percent from the field.
Jan 10, 2023
Pours in season-high 30 points
Barnes ended Monday's 136-111 victory over the Magic with 30 points (11-13 FG, 6-7 3Pt, 2-3 FT), one rebound and one assist in 30 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Barnes simply couldn't miss Monday, going 11-of-13 from the field en route to a season-high 30 points. However, in typical Barnes fashion, he added nothing else to the boxscore, an unfortunate trademark when it comes to breaking down his overall value. Despite averaging 14.5 points per game, Barnes sits outside the top 130 in standard formats. He can be valuable in specific builds but on the whole, should be viewed as a much better points league guy.
Jan 4, 2023
Delivers 19 point in win
Barnes accumulated 19 points (7-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and two steals across 37 minutes during Tuesday's 117-115 victory over Utah.
ANALYSIS
Barnes will see more time on the court if he jumps out to a fast start, and he ended up playing 37 minutes while riding a hot hand throughout the game. Barnes also matched his second-highest rebound total of the season in the narrow win.
Dec 28, 2022
Offers complementary production
Barnes finished Tuesday's 113-106 loss to the Nuggets with 13 points (5-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and one steal in 33 minutes.
ANALYSIS
At least for one game, Barnes didn't benefit much from the absence of Domantas Sabonis (thumb). Barnes' 16.2 percent usage rate on the night was roughly in line with his season-long rate (16.8 percent), and he grabbed only a couple more extra boards than he typically does (5.5 per game). Sabonis is listed as questionable for Wednesday's rematch with Denver and doesn't seem likely to miss much additional time even if he ends up sitting a second straight game, so Barnes' fantasy outlook should remain fairly stable moving forward.
Dec 21, 2022
Active Wednesday
Barnes (quadriceps) will play in Wednesday's game against the Lakers, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.
ANALYSIS
Despite injuring his right quadriceps during Monday's loss to Charlotte, the veteran will remain in the lineup versus the Lakers. Barnes is averaging 13.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per game this year.
Dec 20, 2022
Questionable Wednesday
Barnes (quadriceps) is questionable Wednesday versus the Lakers, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.
ANALYSIS
Barnes suffered the quad injury in the third quarter of Monday's loss to the Hornets. The veteran hasn't missed a game yet this campaign and has missed a total of just five games dating back to last year.
Dec 20, 2022
Done for night
Barnes won't return to Monday's game against the Hornets due to a right quadriceps contusion, Brenden Nunes of The Sacramento Bee reports.
ANALYSIS
Barnes left the game in the fourth quarter and was immediately ruled out by the team. He'll be considered day-to-day leading up to Sacramento's matchup with the Lakers on Wednesday.
Dec 15, 2022
Comes close to double-double
Barnes contributed 12 points (4-8 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds and three assists over 36 minutes during Wednesday's 124-123 victory over Toronto.
ANALYSIS
Barnes didn't turn heads with his scoring figures in this one, but he was pretty efficient and ended just two rebounds shy of posting a double-double. Even though he holds a secondary role on offense in a scheme designed for the likes of De'Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis, Barnes has found a way to remain an impactful player on a nightly basis. He's averaging 15.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per game in December.
Dec 12, 2022
Posts 15 points in loss
Barnes provided 15 points (4-10 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 6-9 FT), two rebounds and two assists across 35 minutes during Sunday's 112-99 loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Barnes got off to a hot start in this one, scoring 13 points while shooting 3-for-4 from the field and 6-for-7 from the charity stripe before cooling off in the final two quarters of play (1-for-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 0-2 FT). The North Carolina product has knocked down at least one triple in seven straight contests, scoring in double digits in each matchup along the way.
Dec 8, 2022
Puts up 20 points Wednesday
Barnes ended with 20 points (6-11 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 6-7 FT), three rebounds and two assists over 33 minutes during Wednesday's 126-113 loss to the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Barnes scored in double digits for the fourth game in a row, a stretch he's already accomplished three times in the current campaign. The veteran forward is having the worst season of his career since leaving the Warriors and definitively his worst campaign since joining Sacramento with averages of 13.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game. That shouldn't be surprising, however, as Barnes sits below Domantas Sabonis, De'Aaron Fox, Keegan Murray and even Malik Monk when it comes to the offensive pecking order.
Dec 1, 2022
Leads Kings with 22 points
Barnes contributed 22 points (6-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 9-10 FT), five rebounds, two assists and two steals over 26 minutes during Wednesday's 137-114 victory over the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Barnes came into the contest having averaged just 8.7 points on 42.9 percent shooting over his past three games. He snapped the slump with a team-leading scoring total in the victory, finished with 20-plus points for the first time since Nov. 22. Barnes has recorded five games of 20 points or more so far this season, but he's also finished with single-digit scoring in eight contests.
Nov 20, 2022
Great shooting Sunday
Barnes logged 27 points (8-11 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 10-11 FT), nine rebounds and three assists in 36 minutes during Sunday's 137-129 victory over the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was incredibly efficient shooting Sunday as he scored more than 20 points for the first time all year. After making just 36.8 percent of his shots in the season's first nine games, he's sunk 61.2 percent of his tries in the last six contests and is averaging 16.8 points in that span. For the year, he's averaging 11.6 points per game, his lowest production since 2014-15.
Nov 14, 2022
Another quiet night Sunday
Barnes notched nine points (4-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt), three assists, one block and one steal over 27 minutes during Sunday's 122-115 win over Golden State.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was uninspiring again in the win, scoring in single-digits for the sixth time this season. The fact his value is directly tied to his ability to score, you certainly have a recipe for disaster when that is not happening. He is currently outside the top 150 in standard formats, meaning he should be viewed as a streaming candidate on most nights.
Nov 10, 2022
Bounces back with 20 points in win
Barnes finished Wednesday's 127-120 win over the Cavaliers with 20 points (6-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 6-8 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and two steals across 35 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was a non-factor in Monday's loss to the Warriors, going 0-for-4 from the field in a scoreless performance. He shook that off to finish second on Sacramento in scoring Wednesday while leading the Kings with nine boards to come up just shy of a double-double. Barnes had shot a miserable 33.3 percent from the field over his previous five games, so his sharp 6-for-8 line against the Cavs was a welcome sight for both the player and his fantasy managers.
Oct 31, 2022
Flirts with double-double in win
Barnes finished with 16 points (4-12 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 8-8 FT), nine rebounds and two assists in 37 minutes during Monday's 115-108 victory over the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Barnes had one of his better all-around games of the season, highlighting just what an empty start it has been for the veteran. Despite continuing to log significant minutes, Barnes currently sits outside the top 200 in standard formats. Given he has a proven inability to produce anything but points and triples, he should be viewed as just a streaming candidate moving forward.
Oct 24, 2022
Plug pulled
Barnes had four points (1-1 FG, 2-4 FT), two rebounds and one steal in 21 minutes during Sunday's 130-125 loss to Golden State.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was seemingly on thin ice Sunday, as Sacramento turned to the bench to replace his minutes. Across his first two contests, Barnes had averaged 8.5 points and 7.5 rebounds, while shooting 33.3 percent from the field. His usage is a trend to monitor, but he's losing fantasy lineup appeal until proven otherwise.
Oct 10, 2022
Solid as ever in preseason victory
Barnes totaled 11 points (5-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 0-1 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal in 24 minutes during Sunday's win over Portland.
ANALYSIS
Barnes remains arguably the most boring fantasy asset available, and yet he continues to chug along, putting up top-100 value. He is slated to begin the season as the starting power forward, a role that will likely afford him sufficient minutes in which to remain relevant. That role could change down the stretch, especially if the Kings fall out of playoff contention sooner rather than later. Until that point, he should be viewed as a high-floor, low-ceiling target in the later rounds of drafts.
Apr 10, 2022
Limited opportunities in loss
Barnes ended with three points (1-4 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 0-2 FT) and five rebounds across 26 minutes during Saturday's 117-98 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Barnes suffered through one of his worst performances of the season in Saturday's loss. The veteran failed to get involved in the offense and attempted a season-low four shot attempts in the blowout loss. Barnes will likely start in the season finale, but it could be his last game in a Kings uniform. He was frequently mentioned in trade talks throughout the season.
Mar 27, 2022
Pops for 19 in win
Barnes recorded 19 points (6-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and two steals in 40 minutes during Saturday's 114-110 overtime win over the Magic.
ANALYSIS
The veteran forward's production remains inconsistent, but he's still on track for one of the better seasons of his career. Through 12 games in March, Barnes is averaging 15.0 points, 4.3 boards, 2.6 assists and 1.8 threes.

Offers little in 24 minutes
Barnes closed with zero points (0-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist over 24 minutes during Friday's 126-97 loss to the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Barnes did his best Tony Snell impression in 24 minutes of action, taking just five shots and offering little in terms of supporting stats. Barnes has been in a slump of late, totaling just 16 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, three blocks and one steal over his last three games combined (83 minutes).
Mar 8, 2022
Posts 23 points Monday
Barnes supplied 23 points (7-11 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 6-7 FT), three rebounds and one assist across 38 minutes during Monday's 131-115 loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Barnes finished just behind De'Aaron Fox (24 points) for team high-scoring honors thanks to an efficient 7-for-11 mark from the field, including a 3-for-4 effort from three-point range. However, the veteran forward didn't contribute much in the way of peripheral stats and notched a team-worst minus-19 during his time on the court. Still, this was a nice bounce-back effort for Barnes, who scored just nine points against Dallas in his previous game.
Mar 4, 2022
Leads Kings with 27 points
Barnes provided 27 points (6-8 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 11-14 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one block across 39 minutes during Thursday's 115-112 win over the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Barnes did much of his work from the charity stripe, tying his season-high mark with 14 free-throw attempts. The frequent trips to the foul line enabled the veteran forward to rack up 27 points despite being charged with only eight field-goal tries, of which he made six -- including going 4-for-5 from three-point range. Barnes' scoring output was his highest since he tallied 30 points against Minnesota on Feb. 9.
Feb 27, 2022
Puts in 24 points in loss
Barnes accumulated 24 points (7-16 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 9-9 FT), five rebounds and three assists over 38 minutes during Saturday's 115-110 loss to the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Barnes trailed only De'Aaron Fox (26 points) for team high-scoring honors, finishing with his sixth game of 20-plus points across 10 contests in February. The veteran forward was particularly efficient from the charity stripe, where he knocked down all nine of his attempts. Barnes is enjoying perhaps his best season as a King, posting per-game averages of 17.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.9 three-pointers.
Feb 10, 2022
Leads Kings with 30 points in win
Barnes supplied 30 points (8-11 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 10-10 FT), eight rebounds and three assists in 36 minutes during Wednesday's 132-119 victory over the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was the Kings' leading scorer on a night when Domantis Sabonis -- among others -- made his Sacramento debut. Barnes seemed to be energized by his new teammates, posting his highest point total since he racked up 36 points on opening night. The veteran forward has now scored 20-plus points in four straight games and is averaging 25.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.0 three-pointers and 1.3 steals over that span.
Feb 6, 2022
Paces Kings with 24 points
Barnes registered 24 points (8-17 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 6-9 FT), nine rebounds, five assists and three steals in 37 minutes during Saturday's 113-103 victory over Oklahoma City.
ANALYSIS
All five of Sacramento's starters scored in double figures in the win, and Barnes led the way with his 24 points. He also ranked second on the team with nine rebounds and five assists. Barnes has played well over his past 12 contests, averaging 18.9 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.8 three-pointers per game.
Feb 3, 2022
Turns in 19 points in win
Barnes chipped in 19 points (6-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and one steal across 29 minutes during Wednesday's 112-101 win over the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was expected to keep his excellent production going with Marvin Bagley (ankle) on the sidelines, and the veteran delivered with an excellent shooting night. Barnes logged fewer minutes than usual as several players in the rotation filled the gap in the frontcourt, but he made the most of his opportunity in the win.
Jan 27, 2022
Scores team-high 28 points
Barnes posted 28 points (7-14 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 11-12 FT), nine rebounds and two assists in 36 minutes during Wednesday's 121-104 loss to the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Barnes bounced back from a 1-for-12 shooting performance during Tuesday's loss to Boston by scoring at least 20 points for the third time in his last four games. He also fell one rebound shy of his fifth double-double of the 2021-22 campaign. Even with Tuesday's outing mixed in, the veteran forward is still shooting 46.5 percent from the field and 38.3 percent from three over his last nine games. During that stretch, Barnes has averaged 17.7 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 33.9 minutes.
Jan 26, 2022
Awful effort against Boston
Barnes amassed four points (1-12 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and two assists over 30 minutes during Tuesday's 128-75 loss to the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Barnes couldn't have imagined a worse outing Tuesday, though to be fair, the entire team struggled offensively as Sacramento lost by a whopping 53-point margin. Barnes and the entire Kings offense will try to bounce back when facing the Hawks on the road Wednesday.
Jan 13, 2022
Scores 23 points in victory
Barnes logged 23 points (9-14 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and one block over 37 minutes during Wednesday's 125-116 victory over the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Barnes trailed only De'Aaron Fox (29 points) for team high-scoring honors, and he did so on an efficient effort from the field. The veteran forward reached the 20-point mark for the first time since Dec. 17 and chipped in seven boards. Barnes has knocked down multiple three-pointers in 12 of his past 13 games.
Jan 10, 2022
Average performance in loss
Barnes finished Sunday's 103-88 loss to Portland with 13 points (5-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 31 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Barnes bounced back from back-to-back single-digit outings by connecting on half of his shots en route to 13 points. Over his last 18 games, the veteran forward is averaging 13.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 31.7 minutes. Barnes figures to be a consistent producer for Sacramento, but he's likely only a high-floor option in most fantasy leagues.
Jan 1, 2022
Bad scoring-wise
Barnes logged 11 points (3-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds and one assist across 30 minutes during a 112-96 loss Friday versus Dallas.
ANALYSIS
Barnes had another bad game in terms of scoring output and efficiency. He averaged 14.1 points on a 39.4 field goal percentage across 13 games during December. Despite being one of the Kings' primary scoring options, his recent stats indicate he must do better to be valuable for many fantasy managers who roster him.
Dec 21, 2021
Scores 19 against former club
Barnes totaled 19 points (6-11 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 3-5 FT), six rebounds and three assists in 37 minutes during Monday's 113-98 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Barnes did well in his matchup against the team with whom he spent his first four NBA campaigns, finishing with double-digit points for the fourth straight contest. The veteran forward drained four three-pointers for the first time since early November while missing only three times from beyond the arc. Barnes isn't a fantasy monster, but he has been a reliable asset this season with per-game averages of 17.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.9 three-pointers and 0.9 steals.
Dec 16, 2021
Comes through in fourth quarter
Barnes logged 19 points (6-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 6-6 FT), five rebounds, three assists and one steal in 32 minutes during Wednesday's 119-105 win over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was quiet through most of the contest, but he came alive with an explosive 15-point fourth quarter. It was a nice bounce-back performance after the veteran forward scored just three points on 1-for-9 shooting his previous time on the court. Barnes got off to a torrid start to the season, but he has slowed down of late, posting modest per-game averages of 12.8 points, 4.5 boards, 2.4 assists and 1.0 three-pointers in 11 games since Nov. 15.
Dec 14, 2021
Struggles through blowout loss
Barnes amassed three points (1-9 FG, 1-5 3Pt), four rebounds and two assists across 22 minutes during Monday's 124-101 loss to Toronto.
ANALYSIS
In a contest the Kings trailed wire-to-wire, Barnes didn't offer much help, hitting just one of his nine field goal attempts before sitting out most of the second half with the game out of reach. Since returning from a five-game absence Dec. 8 against Orlando, Barnes has averaged only 9.8 points per game on a combined 12-of-39 from the field. Prior to the absence, he was off to a fantastic start, posting 19.0 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.9 threes per game with a 48/40/85 shooting line.
Dec 8, 2021
Available Wednesday
Barnes (foot) will play Wednesday against the Magic, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.
ANALYSIS
Barnes will return Wednesday after missing the previous five games due to a foot injury. The 29-year-old will not be under a minutes restriction, so he should be in for his usual workload. In his five games prior to injury, Barnes averaged 13.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists.
Dec 6, 2021
Questionable Wednesday
Barnes (foot) is questionable for Wednesday's game against Orlando, Franklin Cartoscelli of Sports 1140 KHTK reports.
ANALYSIS
Barnes has missed the last five games due to a foot injury, but coach Alvin Gentry said Monday that the 29-year-old has been practicing recently. If he's available against the Magic, it's possible that his playing time will be monitored.
Dec 4, 2021
Out as expected

Dec 4, 2021
Recalled, still doubtful
Barnes (foot) was recalled from the G League and remains doubtful for Saturday's contest against the Clippers, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports.
ANALYSIS
Barnes is expected to miss a fifth straight game Saturday. Assuming that's the case, his next chance to play arrives Wednesday against the Magic.
Dec 4, 2021
Assigned to G League
Barnes (foot) was assigned to the Stockton Kings on Saturday, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was doubtful for Saturday's game against the Clippers, and it appears as though he'll spend some time in the G League before returning to the parent club. He's missed four games due to a right foot sprain, so he could be back with Sacramento following a brief stint in the G League.
Dec 3, 2021
Downgraded to doubtful
Barnes (foot) has been downgraded to doubtful for Saturday's game against the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Barnes has been sidelined for each of the last four games due to a right foot sprain, and it appears as though he's in line for a fifth straight absence. Buddy Hield and Terence Davis will likely see increased usage if Barnes is ultimately held out.
Dec 3, 2021
Questionable Saturday
Barnes (foot) is questionable for Saturday's contest against the Clippers, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.
ANALYSIS
The veteran wing has missed Sacramento's last four contests due to a foot injury. If Barnes is forced to miss his fifth straight showing, expect Terence Davis to continue to start in his absence. If the North Carolina product can't suit up Saturday, his next chance to return to the court comes Wednesday against the Magic.
Dec 1, 2021
Out again Wednesday
Barnes (foot) is out Wednesday against the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
A foot sprain will force Barnes to miss a fourth straight game. Marvin Bagley (illness) is out, while Maurice Harkless (knee) is questionable, so the Kings could be short on forwards once again.
Nov 30, 2021
Out Tuesday
Barnes (foot) is out Tuesday against the Lakers, Mike Trudell of the Lakers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Barnes will miss a third straight game due to a sprained foot. His next chance to play arrives Wednesday against the Clippers.
Nov 29, 2021
Deemed doubtful Tuesday
Barens (foot) is listed as doubtful for Tuesday's game against the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
It appears that the veteran will miss another matchup tending to a foot injury. It'll be his third straight absence, as Barnes hasn't played since posting 13 points in 29 minutes against Portland on Nov. 24. Terence Davis, who started the Kings' previous contest against Memphis last Sunday, may garner another spot start.
Nov 28, 2021
Ruled out Sunday
Barnes (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Memphis, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Alvin Gentry said before Sunday's game that Barnes is considered day-to-day but doesn't yet have a timetable to return. Buddy Hield and Terence Davis should see additional run against the Grizzlies.
Nov 27, 2021
Expected to sit Sunday
Barnes (foot) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
A sprained foot kept Barnes out of Friday's come-from-behind win over the Lakers, and the team is bracing for him to miss at least one more contest as they finish up the week. With Richaun Holmes (illness) already ruled out, Maurice Harkless and Chimezie Metu could each be slated for another start Sunday.
Nov 26, 2021
Out vs. Lakers
Barnes (foot) is out Friday against the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Barnes is sitting out for the first time this season. He's cooled off since his scorching-hot start but has still averaged a solid 14.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists over his past eight games. In his absence, more minutes could be available for Marvin Bagley, Chimezie Metu and Maurice Harkless.
Nov 25, 2021
Questionable at Los Angeles
Barnes (foot) is questionable against the Lakers on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Barnes suffered a foot sprain during the Kings' previous game at Portland on Wednesday. If he becomes out, there is an improved chance they start Buddy Hield instead.
Nov 25, 2021
Picks up foot injury
Barnes won't return to Wednesday's game against Portland due to a right foot injury, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports.
ANALYSIS
Barnes played 29 minutes before being ruled out with the injury and had 13 points (4-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-7 FT), three rebounds and one assist. He should be considered questionable for Friday's game against the Lakers until his status is updated.
Nov 20, 2021
Downward trend continues Friday
Barnes racked up 14 points (3-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 8-8 FT), one rebound, three assists and one steal over 26 minutes during Friday's 108-89 loss to the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Barnes has certainly cooled off after his blistering start to the season, and that was on show again Friday. To be fair, all the starters were benched down the stretch in this one, and so he perhaps gets a pass after all. The sell-high window has firmly slammed shut and managers now just have to hope he can get things moving in the right direction again. Things certainly don't get any easier for Barnes and the Kings as they face the Jazz on Saturday night.
Nov 13, 2021
Extends strong scoring run
Barnes registered 21 points (8-14 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-6 FT) and five rebounds over 34 minutes during Friday's 105-103 loss to Oklahoma City.
ANALYSIS
Barnes had scored just nine points against the Spurs on Wednesday, but he bounced back here with a solid output. The veteran forward has been a reliable scoring threat for Sacramento this season after putting up at least 20 points in nine of his 13 games already. It's still early in the season, but Barnes is scoring a career-high 21.4 points per game thus far.
Nov 9, 2021
Posts another big scoring effort
Barnes tallied 26 points (7-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 11-11 FT), six rebounds, two assists and one steal over 36 minutes in a loss to Phoenix on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Barnes enjoyed an extremely efficient offensive performance, making seven of his nine field-goal attempts and all 11 of his free-throw tries. He has surpassed the 20-point mark in four of his past five contests and is now averaging 22.5 points per game on the season. Barnes is on pace to surpass his career-high single-season scoring average of 19.2 points per contest, which he established with Dallas back in 2016-17.
Nov 8, 2021
Paces Kings in loss
Barnes delivered 22 points (6-15 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 9-11 FT), five assists, four rebounds and two steals across 38 minutes in Sunday's loss to the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Barnes once again surpassed the 20-point threshold, something he's done in three of his last four games and in seven out of 10 contests in total during the current campaign. He's firmly entrenched as one of Sacramento's top scoring threats on a game-to-game basis, and the fact that he's also poured four double-doubles suggests he's doing more than just scoring.
Nov 4, 2021
Paces Kings in scoring Wednesday
Barnes tallied 23 points (5-8 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 9-10 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and a steal across 39 minutes in Wednesday's 112-99 victory versus New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was uber efficient as a scorer in the win, needing only eight field-goal attempts to post a team-high 23 points. The veteran forward has been very consistent on the offensive end throughout the campaign, posting between 22 and 25 points in five of his eight contests thus far. He has never averaged over 20 points over the course of a campaign but is on pace to reach that mark in the early going, posting a per-game average of 23.3 points along with 9.5 boards on the season.
Oct 31, 2021
Records double-double
Barnes scored 15 points (5-16 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 4-4 FT) to go with 10 rebounds, five assists, three steals and one turnover in 38 minutes during Sunday's 105-99 loss to Dallas.
ANALYSIS
The veteran wing struggled with his outside shot, but was able to contribute for Sacramento in different ways than shooting during the team's loss Sunday. Barnes recorded his third double-double of the season, while his 15 points actually marked a new season-low for the 29-year-old as well. Barnes is playing at a career-best level to start the season, averaging 23.3 points and 10.3 rebounds per game thus far.
Oct 28, 2021
Seals victory Wednesday
Barnes totaled 22 points (10-18 FG, 2-6 3Pt), nine rebounds and four assists in 39 minutes during Wednesday's 110-107 victory over the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Barnes drilled a buzzer-beating shot to close out the game, capping off another strong performance. After a red-hot start to the season, these are the kinds of numbers we should expect to see on a regular basis. Barnes is a solid source of points and rebounds but typically adds very little in the defensive categories. We have seen Barnes go through periods such as this previously and so fantasy managers should just be ready for a slight drop-off at some point.
Oct 23, 2021
Strong double-double despite loss
Barnes mustered 25 points (9-20 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 15 rebounds, two assists and a steal across 38 minutes in Friday's loss to Utah.
ANALYSIS
Barnes has quickly emerged as the Kings' go-to player on offense and the numbers back that up, as he has scored at least 25 points in each of his first two contests while shooting an excellent 19-for-39 from the field, including 10-for-17 from deep, across both games. It remains to be seen if he'll be able to sustain this scoring pace throughout an entire season, but there's no question Barnes has opened the year on a blistering pace.
Oct 21, 2021
Explodes for 36 points Wednesday
Barnes finished Wednesday's win over Portland with 36 points (10-19 FG, 8-11 3Pt, 8-9 FT), nine rebounds, two assists and two steals over 37 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was on fire from three-point range in the win, knocking down a career-high eight treys on only 11 attempts. He also placed second on Sacramento with nine boards and didn't notch a single turnover. Barnes isn't likely to approach this level of output most games -- he has averaged over two three-pointers per game in only one of his nine NBA campaigns -- but he should be a solid source of points and rebounds as the Kings' starting small forward.
Oct 5, 2021
Strong showing in exhibition
Barnes registered 18 points (7-12 FG, 4-9 3PT), four rebounds, three assists and one steal in 23 minutes during Monday's preseason game against the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Barnes looked sharp in his first action of the 2021 campaign, leading his team with 18 points and hitting on just over 58 percent of his field goals. He shot 49.7 percent from the field and averaged 16.1 points to go with 6.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists a season ago (58 games). Following Monday's contest, Barnes and his squad will have three more exhibitions to get ready for the start of the regular season.
May 14, 2021

May 13, 2021

May 12, 2021
Unlikely for Thursday

Won't return Monday
Barnes left Monday's game against the Mavericks due to adductor tightness, James Ham of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was forced to exit the contest in the second half. He'll finish with 19 points (7-10 FG, 3-4 3PT, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and two assists in 24 minutes. Barnes can be considered day-to-day until further notice.
Apr 22, 2021
Steady again Wednesday
Barnes racked up 22 points (7-14 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 4-6 FT), seven assists and six rebounds in 38 minutes during Wednesday's 128-125 victory over the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Barnes isn't among the league's flashy stars, but he has proven to be invaluable to the Kings this season due to his professionalism and consistent contributions. The veteran forward has scored at least 20 points in three straight games and is averaging career highs in both boards (6.6) and assists (3.5) per contest on the campaign. His 49.4 percent field-goal rate is also a career best.
Apr 21, 2021
Puts up 20 points in loss
Barnes tallied 20 points (6-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 6-6 FT), eight rebounds and five assists over 39 minutes in Tuesday's loss to Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Barnes tied for the team lead in scoring in the contest and paced the Kings with eight boards. He continues to play big minutes for Sacramento and can be counted on for consistent double-figure scoring. Barnes is a steady if unspectacular contributor from a fantasy aspect, posting per-game averages of 15.8 points, 6.7 boards and 1.6 three-pointers on the season.
Apr 15, 2021
Steady as usual in loss
Barnes contributed 18 points (6-12 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-5 FT), seven rebounds and two assists across 40 minutes in a loss to Washington on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Barnes finished third on the team in scoring and second in rebounding in the loss. That provides a good framework for his recent production -- he isn't going to dominate the headlines most nights, but the veteran has been good for solid numbers on a reliable basis. Over his past five contests, Barnes is averaging 15.8 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists while shooting 47.5 percent from the field.

Makes rare defensive contributions
Barnes scored 16 points (5-14 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT) to go along with 11 rebounds, three steals, one assist and one block across 43 minutes in Monday's loss to the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Barnes continued to be in a bit of a cold spell from the field and he's shooting only 40 percent across his last three games. However, he offset those struggles by knocking in multiple threes for the first time in his last four games and shooting perfectly from the free-throw line. Most notable were his defensive contributions, as Barnes recorded more than two steals for only the second time this season and also chipped in a rare block as well.
Apr 9, 2021
Scores 13 points in 40 minutes
Barnes tallied 13 points (5-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and two assists across 40 minutes in Thursday's 113-101 loss to the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Barnes didn't do enough with his team-leading 40 minutes on the floor, and the team desperately needs more offense from the veteran if they have any hope of ending their four-game losing streak. A slight regression from his 21/12 double-double against the Grizzlies is to be expected, but his ability to put together big numbers in both categories has been elusive of late.
Apr 5, 2021
Big double-double in losing effort
Barnes dropped 21 points (9-14 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 12 rebounds, four assists and two steals across 37 minutes Monday in the loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Barnes struggled to get things going against the Bucks on Saturday but bounced back in a big way Monday, registering his two 20-point effort in his last three contests. Over the last couple weeks, Barnes has been up and down as he five games with less than 10 points and four outings scoring in double figures.
Apr 3, 2021
Scores team-high 26 points
Barnes recorded 26 points (9-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), five rebounds, five assists, a steal and a block across 37 minutes in Friday's loss against the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was nearly perfect from the field and carried Sacramento offensively, missing just one attempt from beyond the arc all game long and also contributing in other areas of the game as well. Barnes was coming off four single-digit scoring appearances over his previous six games before putting up a show Friday, and this game could be the game he was needing to get his groove back after a series of underwhelming efforts over the last few weeks.
Apr 1, 2021
Hauls in season-high 14 boards
Barnes recorded six points (2-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 14 rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block in 34 minutes during Wednesday's 120-106 loss to the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
The 28-year-old matched his career high in rebounds on Wednesday while producing stats across the board. Barnes' scoring has been a roller coaster lately, as he's posted nine, nine, two, 16, 14, and six points over his last six games, respectively. As long as he's starting and playing 30-plus minutes a game, the ninth-year forward should continue providing decent points, rebounds, assists and three-pointers for the 11th-seeded Kings.
Mar 28, 2021
Plays hero with buzzer beater
Barnes racked up 16 points (6-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT) and 11 rebounds over 36 minutes in a 100-98 victory over Cleveland on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Barnes gave the Kings their fourth straight victory with a 26-foot three-pointer at the buzzer on a deep inbounds pass from De'Aaron Fox. The trey was Barnes' first make from deep in the game and helped him snap a two-game drought from beyond the arc. The veteran knocked down 6-of-10 shots overall in the contest after shooting a paltry 25.9 percent from the field in his previous three games.
Mar 26, 2021
Rough patch continues
Barnes recorded two points (1-10 FG, 0-4 3Pt), six rebounds, five assists and two steals in 36 minutes during Thursday's 141-119 win over the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
With Thursday's effort, Barnes has scored in single-digits across three straight games. During this stretch, he's shot just 25.9 percent from the field and is just 1-for-12 from beyond the arc. His 8.0 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game have saved his fantasy value somewhat, but it's still been an abysmal stretch for the veteran.
Mar 22, 2021
Flirts with triple-double
Barnes registered nine points (4-10 FG, 1-5 3Pt), 10 rebounds and eight assists across 41 minutes in Monday's victory over the Cavs.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was the only starter to score less than 10 points despite playing the most minutes. While he didn't light up the scoring column, he tied a season-high with eight dimes and grabbed double-digit boards for the second time in three games. After ending February and beginning March with four straight 20-point outings, he's failed to hit that mark in seven of his last eight outings.
Mar 21, 2021
Grabs seven rebounds in loss
Barnes delivered 12 points (5-7 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and a blocked shot across 33 minutes in Saturday's 129-105 loss to the Sixers.
ANALYSIS
Barnes' rebound and assist numbers were the highlights of his stat line in the loss, as he only made seven shot attempts in the contest. Despite the loss, Barnes represents one of the many fantasy values on the Kings' roster. The loss of Marvin Bagley has allowed more rebounds to come his way, and he'll sometimes pop with enough scoring to be relevant in that category as well.
Mar 20, 2021
Grabs season-high 13 boards
Barnes finished with 15 points (5-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 13 boards and three assists in 39 minutes of a 107-96 win against Boston on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Barnes pulled down a season-best 13 boards in the contest, leading to his second double-double this month. While the 13 boards marked his season high, Barnes has been hitting the glass hard recently, with at least seven rebounds in four of his last six games. He'll face the 76ers on Saturday.
Mar 17, 2021
Sees volume return
Barnes scored 18 points (6-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT) to go along with eight rebounds, five assists and one steal across 36 minutes in Wednesday's win over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
After a downturn in field-goal attempts in his last two games, Barnes returned to form and his scoring ticked back up. He also continued to shoot efficiently from the field and has maintained a career-best 62.1 true-shooting percentage across 37 games this season. To round out his line, Barnes chipped in strong counting stats and is averaging 6.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game on the campaign.
Mar 12, 2021
Puts up double-double Thursday
Barnes scored 20 points (8-15 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-6 FT) and grabbed 11 rebounds across 31 minutes in Thursday's 125-105 win over Sacramento.
ANALYSIS
Barnes tied for the team lead in rebounds in the win while notching his first double-double since an 11-point, 11-board effort Dec. 26. The veteran has been coming on as a scorer of late, registering at least 17 points in seven straight contests. Over that span, he is averaging 20.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game.
Mar 4, 2021
Puts up 20 points Wednesday
Barnes had 20 points (6-13 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 8-9 FT), six assists and three rebounds across 38 minutes in Wednesday's win over the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Barnes has scored at least 20 points in four straight games and has been very efficient in that stretch -- he's made 52.8 percent of his shots and 39.1 percent of his treys during that four-game span. Barnes is also averaging 22.8 points per game during that aforementioned stretch.
Mar 1, 2021
Posts big numbers in loss
Barnes totaled 28 points (10-14 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 4-5 FT), six rebounds and six assists Sunday in a loss to the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Barnes trailed only Buddy Hield for the team lead in scoring in the contest, finishing with over 20 points for the third straight contest. Over that span, he has provided excellent value with per-game averages of 23.7 points, 7.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists. On the season, Barnes is shooting a career-best 49.3 percent from the field.
Feb 27, 2021
Sniffs triple-double in win
Barnes registered 21 points (5-14 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 9-14 FT), eight rebounds, seven assists, two steals and a block across 40 minutes in Friday's win over the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Barnes ended just two rebounds and three assists away from reaching what would've been his first triple-double of the season, and he's now scored 20-plus points in two straight games for the fourth time this campaign. Barnes has settled himself as a proven performer on both ends of the court and is averaging 20.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.7 steals per contest over his last three appearances since missing three straight games earlier this month.
Feb 25, 2021
Stuffs stat sheet in loss
Barnes scored 22 points (7-12 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 5-7 FT) and added seven rebounds, five assists and two steals in the Kings' 140-121 loss to the Knicks on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
In just his second game back after a three game absence due to a foot injury, Barnes showed no rust at all, contributing on both ends of the floor. The forward has been a reliable second option on offense this season, averaging 15.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. With Jabari Parker (COVID-19 protocols) and Hassan Whiteside (COVID-19 protocols) both out, look for Barnes to have a little increase in production in terms of scoring and rebounding.
Feb 24, 2021
Efficient in return Tuesday
Barnes had 18 points (7-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 37 minutes during Tuesday's 127-118 loss to the Nets.
ANALYSIS
The 28-year-old missed the previous three games with a foot strain, but he returned to the court with an efficient shooting performance Tuesday. Barnes was shooting 30.8 percent from the field over the previous five games, but he busted out of the slump after recovering from the foot injury.
Feb 23, 2021
Ready to play to Tuesday
Barnes (foot) is available and starting Tuesday against the Nets, James Ham of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
ANALYSIS
The 28-year-old missed the past three games with a left foot strain, but he's back in action versus Brooklyn. Barnes was averaging 7.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.4 assists in the previous five contests before the three-game absence.
Feb 22, 2021
Questionable for Tuesday night
Barnes (foot) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Nets, Jason Anderson of the Sacramento Bee reports.
ANALYSIS
A strained left foot cost Barnes a third straight game Sunday night, but the hope is that he'll be back in the mix Tuesday night following an off-day Monday. The Kings started DaQuan Jeffries at small forward in Barnes' place Sunday against Milwaukee.
Feb 21, 2021
Ruled out Sunday
Barnes (foot) will not play in Sunday's game against Milwaukee, James Ham of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
ANALYSIS
Barnes tested out the foot during pregame, but as expected he'll remain sidelined for the third consecutive game. The Kings will get Richaun Holmes back, however, and he'll start at center alongside Marvin Bagley and DaQuan Jeffries.
Feb 21, 2021
Not expected to play Sunday
Barnes (foot) will be a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Bucks, but coach Luke Walton said that he doesn't expect him to play, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.
ANALYSIS
Holmes will warm up ahead of Sunday's game to determine his availability, but Walton said that the team is planning as though he won't play against Milwaukee. With Glenn Robinson (personal) also unavailable, Buddy Held and DaQuan Jeffries should see increased run for the Kings if Barnes is ultimately held out.
Feb 21, 2021
Questionable for Sunday's game
Barnes (foot) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Bucks, Dennis Krause of Spectrum 1 News reports.
ANALYSIS
Barnes has missed the last two games with a strained left foot and his status is up in the air for the team's second game in a back-to-back. The 28-year-old's potential return would impact the likes of Nemanja Bjelica and Glenn Robinson, who is also questionable with a knee injury.
Feb 20, 2021
Out again Saturday
Barnes (foot) is out Saturday against the Bulls, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.
ANALYSIS
A left foot strain will result in Barnes missing a second straight game. With Glenn Robinson (knee) also out, Nemanja Bjelica and DaQuan Jeffries could see more run.
Feb 19, 2021
Questionable Saturday
Barnes (foot) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Bulls, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.
ANALYSIS
Barnes missed Thursday's game against the Heat due to a left foot strain and is in danger of missing a second. Glenn Robinson (knee) and and Nemanja Bjelica could potentially be in line for increased workloads should he ultimately not get the green light.
Feb 17, 2021
Officially out Thursday
Barnes (foot) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Heat.
ANALYSIS
The 28-year-old sustained the left foot strain Sunday and will miss at least one game after attempting to play through the injury Monday. Glenn Robinson and DaQuan Jeffries are poised to see increased run for Sacramento.
Feb 17, 2021
Likely out Thursday
Barnes didn't practice Wednesday due to a foot sprain and isn't expected to play Thursday against the Heat, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.
ANALYSIS
The 28-year-old suffered the injury during Monday's matchup with the Nets, and it appears he'll be sidelined for at least one game. Barnes was struggling even before the injury and is averaging 7.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.4 assists while shooting 30.8 percent from the field over the past five games. Glenn Robinson, DaQuan Jeffries and Nemanja Bjelica could see increased run if Barnes is indeed unavailable.
Feb 7, 2021
Struggles off the board in win
Barnes posted four points (1-7 FG, 0-4 3PT, 2-2 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist and one steal during 35 minutes in the 113-110 win over the Clippers on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Barnes had a very unusual night in the shooting department, going ice cold. The forward could not find his rhythm and found his only success to be in the paint. Barnes set a new season high in rebounds (12) during the win, outperforming everyone at the boards. The shooting woes are to be considered an outlier and he should return to form when the Kings play host to the 76ers on Tuesday.
Feb 6, 2021
Scores team-high 28 points
Barnes recorded 28 points (10-16 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 3-5 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and one steal in 38 minutes during Saturday's 119-114 win over the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Barnes notched a team-high 28 points in the matchup, and it's his second-best scoring effort of the season so far. Saturday's performance also marked the third game in a row that Barnes has scored at least 24 points, and he's dipped below 20 points just once in the past seven games.
Feb 4, 2021
Stuffs stat sheet in win
Barnes scored 24 points (7-17 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 9-10 FT) while adding six assists, five rebounds and a block across 37 minutes in Wednesday's win over the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Barnes had a rough shooting night and was particularly woeful from three-point range, but that didn't stop him from reaching the 20-point mark for the fifth time over his last six appearances. He is averaging 21.2 points per game in that span, though he could be bound for some regression since he's shooting an unsustainable 52.6 percent from the field during that six-game stretch.
Feb 2, 2021
Two boards shy of double-double
Barnes registered 24 points (8-14 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block across 40 minutes in Monday's win over the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Barnes had to play as a center when Richaun Holmes was on the bench following the ejection of Marvin Bagley, but he managed to deliver a strong performance on both ends of the court and finished just two boards shy of putting up his second double-double of the season. He has also scored 20-plus points in four of his last five contests, and while that might be unsustainable going forward, he's going through a sizzling run and that should boost his upside.
Jan 30, 2021
Leads Kings with 26 points
Barnes scored 26 points (8-13 FG, 4-7 3PT, 6-6 FT) to go along with seven rebounds and five assists across 37 minutes in Friday's win over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Barnes led the Kings with 26 points, his second-best scoring night of the season. He shot particularly well from deep and now has multiple threes in three consecutive games. Even on nights where he doesn't score this well, Barnes has notably ticked up his rebounds, assists and steals from last season.
Jan 27, 2021
Stuffs box score in win
Barnes dropped 21 points (8-11 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, four assists, and two steals over 38 minutes in Tuesday's 121-107 win over the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Barnes has now recorded back-to-back 20-point performances following two consecutive games in single-digit scoring. Barnes felt comfortable letting the ball fly from beyond the arc as both his three-pointers attempted and three-pointers made tied season-highs. Over his last four outings, Barnes has attempted at least six three-pointers three times and is shooting 37.4 percent.
Jan 23, 2021
Has bounceback performance
Barnes recorded 21 points (5-13 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 9-9 FT), eight rebounds, seven assists and one steal in 35 minutes during Friday's 103-94 win over the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
After a string of four games where Barnes averaged just 9.3 points on 31.4 percent shooting, he had a huge bounceback effort Friday. He was aggressive, getting to the free-throw line and making a season-high nine freebies. The 28-year-old his having his best season since leaving Dallas, averaging 15.9 points on 47.8 percent shooting, 6.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 34.9 minutes.
Jan 21, 2021
Shot attempts trending down
Barnes posted five points (2-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt), five rebounds, two assists and one steal in 32 minutes during Wednesday's 115-96 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Through the first eight games of the season, Barnes was taking 12.5 field goal attempts per game -- a number that's been reduced to 9.3 attempts across the past seven games. He's still averaging a solid 14.0 points on 47.7 percent shooting during this span, but the trend downward is concerning for fantasy managers who were riding high while Barnes saw more usage.
Jan 18, 2021
Struggles in loss Sunday
Barnes had seven points (2-8 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four assists and one rebound in 41 minutes during Sunday's loss to the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
The 28-year-old put up single-digit points for the first time despite playing his second-highest minutes total of the season. Barnes is shooting 31 percent from the field and averaging 10.7 points in three games since a 30-point performance Jan. 11 against the Pacers.
Jan 14, 2021
Goes cold in loss Wednesday
Barnes recorded 11 points (3-9 FG, 0-2 3PT, 5-6 FT), six rebounds, three assists and one steal in 35 minutes in the 132-126 loss to Portland on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Barnes continued his most recent trend of up and down in the loss Wednesday. The forward has been on quite the rollercoaster ride with his form as of recent and had a rather poor shooting night. He only went 27 percent from the floor, but did manage just shy of perfect from the line. He did also grab his fair share at the boards to make up for his poor shooting efforts. Barnes is a versatile player and an important one for Sacramento. Therefore, even if he does fault here or there, he will still be a significant piece to the larger puzzle.
Jan 12, 2021
Leads all scorers with 30 points
Barnes totaled 30 points (10-14 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 8-8 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and one steal in 38 minutes during Monday's 127-122 victory over the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Barnes continues to shine for the Kings, going against what he has been able to do over the past few seasons. Something to note is that despite how well he has played this season, he is still only a top-80 player in standard formats. The scoring is typically always going to give him a boost but the supporting numbers are the issue. As long as he can contribute in multiple categories, he should be able to hover around the top-100 for the rest of the campaign.
Jan 9, 2021
Scores 21 points in loss
Barnes scored 21 points (6-8 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 7-10 FT) while adding four rebounds, eight assists and a steal across 31 minutes in Friday's loss against the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Barnes has established himself as one of Sacramento's most reliable scoring threats and has reached the 20-point mark four times already, including his last two contests. Given his role on offense and the success he's had to date, Barnes is a strong bet for sustained production on a nightly basis across all formats. He is currently averaging 17.4 points per game through nine appearances so far, all of them as a starter.
Jan 7, 2021
Pops for 20 points
Barnes finished with 20 points (7-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 3-5 FT), five assists and one steal in 37 minutes Wednesday in the Kings' 128-124 win over the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
After averaging 8.1 rebounds per game through the Kings' first seven games, Barnes surprisingly came up empty in that category Wednesday, but he made up for it with his scoring, three-pointer and assist production. Barnes' overall fantasy upside is still fairly low, but he's performing well enough thus far to warrant a back-end roster spot in 12-team leagues.
Jan 5, 2021
Posts another strong performance
Barnes scored 18 points (5-12 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 7-8 FT) and grabbed nine rebounds in a blowout loss to the Warriors on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Barnes and De'Aaron Fox tied for the team lead with 18 points in the contest while no other King scored more than 10. Barnes has emerged as a capable sidekick to Fox this season, scoring in double digits in each of his seven games and placing second on the team with per-game averages of 16.6 points and 8.1 rebounds on the campaign.
Jan 2, 2021
Scores 19 in loss
Barnes finished with 19 points (7-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-5 FT), seven boards and one steal in 38 minutes of a 102-94 loss to the Rockets on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Barnes's effort was mostly two-dimensional, with rebounds and points supplying most of his stats in the loss. Barnes was able to improve his shooting percentage in the win, while also playing a season-high minutes. He'll face Golden State on Monday.
Dec 30, 2020
Well-rounded effort in win
Barnes totaled 13 points (5-16 FG, 3-6 3Pt), six rebounds and eight assists in Tuesday's win over Denver.
ANALYSIS
Barnes had a hard time getting his shots to fall and didn't notch any defensive stats, but he set a career high with eight dimes and also contributed on the boards. While his scoring is a bit down this season, Barnes is on pace for career-best marks in both rebounding and assists.
Dec 27, 2020
Posts double-double
Barnes scored 11 points (5-14 FG, 0-2 3PT, 1-1 FT) to go with 11 rebounds, two assists, a block and two turnovers in 34 minutes of Saturday's 106-103 win over Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
Barnes posted his first double-double of the season, including a team-high 11 rebounds en route to the win. Barnes seems to be in a cemented spot so far this season with his 34 minutes being one off the team-high total. If his time on the court continues to be high, the forward could be more than a back end fantasy producer this year.
Dec 24, 2020
Finishes just shy of double-double
Barnes scored 21 points (8-15 FG, 0-3 3PT, 5-7 FT) to go with nine rebouns, five assists, and two steals in 42 minutes of Wednesday's 124-122 win over Denver.
ANALYSIS
Barnes posted a well-rounded stat line including a team-high two steals and nine assists to go with over 20 points in his season debut. The forward was more of a peripheral option last year with the Kings, but was in the thick of things for the team on opening night. Barnes will need to post similar numbers going forward to be more than a rotational piece on fantasy rosters.
Dec 14, 2020
Empty production in win
Barnes totaled nine points (3-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and three rebounds in 25 minutes during Sunday's 121-106 preseason win over Portland.
ANALYSIS
Barnes failed to reach any great heights in the win, scoring just nine points on inefficient shooting. As is standard for Barnes, he added very little in the way of supporting numbers, highlighting his less than appealing fantasy game. Barnes is fine to take late in standard drafts if you need a boost in points only.
Aug 12, 2020
Scores game-high 25 points
Barnes notched 25 points (9-19 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 37 minutes during Tuesday's win over the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Barnes posted his fourth straight double-digit scoring performance, and he has achieved that feat in six of seven bubble games. However, this was only the ninth time Barnes reached the 25-point mark this season. The Kings have gone 6-3 in those contests.
Aug 8, 2020
Pops for 16 in loss
Barnes scored 16 points (5-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-6 FT) while adding six rebounds and an assist in 38 minutes during Friday's 119-106 loss to the Nets.
ANALYSIS
The 28-year-old has been his usual erratic self since the restart, scoring between six and 22 points during the five games in the bubble. Barnes is averaging 13.2 points, 5.6 boards, 1.2 threes and 1.0 assists over that stretch, numbers not far off his production this season before play was suspended.
Aug 6, 2020
22 points in win
Barnes posted 22 points (9-18 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, two assists and one steal during Thursday's 140-125 win over the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
The performance was Barnes' best of the bubble, and his 11th performance of the campaign with at least 22 points. While he can occasionally pop for efforts like this, DFS users know he's more often than not a filler option.
Jul 30, 2020
Cleared to play Friday
Barnes (illness) will play without a minutes restriction Friday against the Spurs, Jason Jones of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Barnes, who tested positive for COVID-19, joined his teammates in Orlando about a week ago. He's apparently done well in practice, so coach Luke Walton will have him play.
Jul 24, 2020
Traveling to Orlando
Barnes (illness) cleared the COVID-19 protocol and is traveling to the NBA bubble in Orlando, James Ham of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
ANALYSIS
The 28-year-old has remained in Sacramento since testing positive for the virus in early July, but he's cleared protocol and is nearing his return to the team. Barnes will still need to complete the league-mandated quarantine period upon his arrival before joining his teammates. He'll have less than of week of practice to prepare for the first game of the restart July 31 against the Spurs.
Jul 22, 2020
Still in Sacramento
Barnes (illness) is still in Sacramento and will be on the "first flight to Orlando" once he clears protocol, Jason Jones of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Barnes tested positive for COVID-19 in mid-July, and he has yet to return the negative tests necessary for him to join the Kings in Orlando. Once he does that and arrives, he'll have to quarantine again and produce two negative tests before he practices.
Jul 21, 2020
Still absent in Orlando
Barnes (illness) could arrive at the NBA's bubble in Orlando later Tuesday if he passes one more COVID-19 test, Marc J. Spears of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Barnes revealed July 14 that he tested positive for COVID-19, which has thus far prevented him from making the trip to Orlando while he remains in quarantine in Sacramento. In the press release he provided last week, Barnes said he was "primarily asymptomatic," and Spears' acknowledgement that the forward has passed at least one COVID-19 test since his positive result suggests he's inching closer to completing all health-related protocols. Once he arrives in Orlando, Barnes will have to go into quarantine again and submit two negative test results at least 24 hours apart before he's allowed to join the Kings for practice. Sacramento will play its first seeding game July 31 versus the Spurs, so Barnes should have a good shot at being available for that contest if he's cleared to rejoin the team by the end of the week.
Jul 14, 2020
Tests positive for COVID-19
Barnes announced Tuesday that he tested positive for COVID-19, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
In a statement posted to his personal Twitter account, Barnes noted that he tested positive prior to the team embarking for Orlando last week. The veteran is currently quarantining back in Sacramento and is expected to join the team in Orlando once he clears protocol. Given the current timetable, Barnes should be back with the team before games resume on July 30. Sacramento plays its first of eight seeding games on July 31 against San Antonio.
Mar 8, 2020
Excels with 20 points in win
Barnes provided 20 points (7-13 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds and an assist across 36 minutes in Saturday's 123 -111 win over the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Barnes added another excellent stat line to his resume after an equally impressive total against the Sixers on Thursday. When he's dialed in, Barnes is one of four pure shooters on the team who can get things going from beyond the arc. With the help of Barnes' five threes, the Kings tied a team record for three-pointers. While the veteran carries more variance than most of his teammates, the perfect storm of production on Saturday is an encouraging sign as the Kings make a push for a playoff spot, and Barnes will figure to be a key part of that effort.

Scores 21 points
Barnes notched 21 points (9-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds and one assist in 38 minutes during Tuesday's 112-94 win at Golden State.
ANALYSIS
Barnes has now scored in double digits in three straight contests, and he has done that five times in his last six games. The small forward has clearly embraced a bigger role on offense during that six-game stretch, a period where he is averaging 20.0 points per contest while shooting an impressive 59.7 percent from the field and 54.3 percent from deep. As good as his numbers look of late, however, he's bound for a regression sooner than later.

Tallies season-high 32 points
Barnes scored 32 points (11-17 FG, 7-11 3Pt, 3-4 FT), one rebound, one assist and one steal in 38 minutes during Thursday's 129-125 win over Memphis.
ANALYSIS
Barnes has now reached at least 23 points in three of his past four games. He was the game-leader in this one as no one else topped 26. The North Carolina product will look to keep streaking Saturday against the Clippers.

Paces team in loss
Barnes finished with 23 points (8-13 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists and a steal in 36 minutes during Monday's loss to the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Barnes is solidly in the midst of his best stretch since the beginning of January as he's totaled 48 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists on 17-of-26 shooting over his past two contests. That said, he's unlikely to keep up this current level of production for much longer as, since the new year, Barnes' failed to top double digits in seven-of-18 games. That said, he's still worth a roster spot in most formats as his averages of 14.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.3 threes still represent decent nightly contributions.

Just 12 points Monday
Barnes totaled 12 points (3-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 6-6 FT), four rebounds and two assists in 39 minutes during Monday's 133-129 victory over Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was at his non-productive best Monday, notching just 12 points despite playing almost 40 minutes. He is outside the top-150 over the past two weeks, something that is unlikely to rectify itself anytime soon. Barnes' value is almost completely reliant on his scoring, making him a must-roster player in deeper formats only. He can be more valuable in points leagues; however, even then, his upside is certainly limited.

Goes for 19 points
Barnes had 19 points (8-14 FG, 0-2 3PT, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 35 minutes during Friday's 98-81 win at Chicago.
ANALYSIS
Barnes has been extremely inconsistent with his scoring of late -- over his last eight outings, he has failed to crack the 10-point mark four times but has scored 19 or more points thrice during that span. That lack of consistency hurts his upside a bit considering he doesn't stand out in any other particular category, but Barnes is doing enough things overall to remain rostered in most formats moving forward.

Unproductive in loss
Barnes had only nine points and four rebounds in 36 minutes during Saturday's 123-101 loss to Utah.
ANALYSIS
Barnes struggled to get anything going Saturday, doing very little to increase his fantasy appeal. He is outside the top-150 over the past two weeks, and scoring aside, he offers very little in terms of production. He will occasionally turn in a solid performance which is enough to keep his value afloat. On the whole, he is not worth rostering in 12-team leagues.

Left off injury report
Barnes (quadriceps) isn't listed on the Kings' injury report in advance of Monday's game against the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Barnes appeared to suffer a right quad injury late in Friday's 127-106 loss to the Bucks, but his ability to practice fully Sunday allowed him to escape the Kings' injury report. He should be ready to fill a high-minute role as Sacramento's starting small forward Monday and will look to continue his hot offensive run. Over the last five games, Barnes is averaging 17.2 points per game, though the scoring production has come on an unsustainable 58 percent shooting from the field and 50 percent shooting from three-point range.

Expected to play Monday
Barnes (quadriceps) is expected to play Monday against the Magic, Jason Anderson of The Sacramento Bee reports.
ANALYSIS
Barnes left Friday's loss against Milwaukee with 3:02 remaining in the game. However, it appears as though he won't be forced to miss any additional time as a result of his injury.

Drops 19, leaves injured
Barnes scored 19 points (8-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT) to go along with three assists, a rebound and a steal in 36 minutes during Sacramento's 127-106 defeat to Milwaukee on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Barnes was scoring at an efficient rate until exiting the game with a right quadriceps injury. He would leave with 3:02 remaining as Milwaukee led 111-98, and would not return. Sacramento next faces the Magic on Monday, when his status becomes more apparent.
