Aided by numerous members of the rotation currently absent from game action, Okoro appears to be headed for a strong conclusion to his rookie campaign.

Though his role in the offense may continue to increase, he doesn't offer much aside from points from a box score perspective, as he's averaged only 3.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.2 blocks and 0.2 steals per game across his last five contests.

The 20-year-old bounced back from Saturday's two-point dud to post his 22nd double-digit scoring output of the season. Okoro was averaging 14.3 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.3 three-pointers, 1.0 assists and 0.7 steals while shooting 57.7 percent from the field in his previous three games before Saturday's performance, so Sunday's bounce-back game was an encouraging sign from a developmental standpoint. The rookie out of Auburn has started every game this season and should continue playing heavy minutes for a young Cavaliers team currently sitting in twelfth place in the Eastern Conference.

Okoro has posted double figures in three straight games including a career-high 17 points just six days prior. However, this latest performance also took a career-high 13 attempts to reach. Nonetheless, 6-for-13 is an efficient night for the rookie, who also played a team-high 35 minutes. While it is a small sample size, the rookie's minutes and points have actually increased slightly during the four games since Kevin Love's (calf) return. Jarrett Allen's (concussion) imminent return could cause a bit of a logjam in the frontcourt, so it'll be interesting to see how the Cavaliers continue to utilize the No. 5 overall pick.

Okoro finished with five points (1-9 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 3-5 FT) and three rebounds in 27 minutes during Monday's 114-75 loss to the Jazz.

The 22-year-old has now made two total shots over his last two games. Okoro is averaging 3.5 points and 2.5 rebounds with no defensive stats during that span. The rookie out of Auburn has seen his production fall off across the board during the second half of the season. Despite his recent struggles, Okoro should continue receiving heavy minutes on a young Cavaliers team that's falling further out of playoff contention.

The rookie was held under double figures for a third consecutive matchup despite Okoro earning a good chunk of minutes. Over his past three outings, Okoro is averaging 6.0 points per game while shooting 37.5 percent from the floor in 26.7 minutes.

The 20-year-old had his lowest scoring output since Feb. 15th. Despite the poor shooting night, Okoro continues to start and provide solid 3-and-D stats. Okoro was averaging 1.2 three-pointers and 1.3 steals over his last 10 games before the All-Star Break. He's locked in as the starter and should provide decent three-pointers and steals the rest of the way.

Okoro's stat lines have improved of late, though he continues to provide subpar production in every statistical category aside from steals despite playing 33.0 minutes per game.

Okoro tallied 13 points (6-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt), four assists and two rebounds in 32 minutes Sunday in the Cavaliers' 109-104 loss to the Timberwolves.

Okoro has played no fewer than 28 minutes in any of his 15 appearances this season, giving him one of the more stable roles of any player on the Cleveland roster. That said, his measly 12 percent usage rate on the season has made it difficult for him to provide consistent production in the offensive categories, making him most useful as a steals streamer -- he's averaging 1.1 per game -- at this stage of his career. The 13 points actually matched Okoro's career high, and he had hit double figures in the scoring column only once in Cleveland's previous six contests.

Over the past seven games, Okoro is averaging 9.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.9 steals and 0.4 blocks in 36.0 minutes.

The Cavaliers haven't been shy about giving the rookie plenty of run. He doesn't stuff the stat sheet, but he's a notably good defender and is helping fuel the Cavs' 10th-ranked defense. Fantasy managers in desperate need of steals can likely take a chance on Okoro but shouldn't expect him to contribute elsewhere regularly.

Okoro (foot) will not play in Tuesday's game against the Knicks.

The rookie will miss a second straight game with a sprained left foot, and the Cavs will also be without Kevin Love (calf), so they'll be a bit shorthanded in the frontcourt. With both players out, Cedi Osman is likely to benefit most.

Okoro (foot) is out for Sunday's game agains the 76ers, Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Okoro struggled in his second NBA game, failing to score across 42 minutes in an overtime victory Saturday over the Pistons. Part of those struggles may have been due to a foot issue, which will keep him sidelined Sunday for the second half of a back-to-back. Okoro's absence should open up more playing time for Cedi Osman.

Okoro had 11 points (4-5 FG, 1-2 3PT, 2-2 FT) and five assists in Wednesday's win over the Hornets.

It was a strong debut for the Cavs as a whole, and Okoro fit in well as the starter at small forward over Cedi Osman. While he took only five shots, Okoro was efficient from the field, and his defensive versatility kept him on the floor for 34 minutes -- the most of any Cavaliers player behind Collin Sexton (37).

Okoro will be in the starting lineup for Wednesday's season-opener against the Hornets, Chris Fedor of Cleveland.com reports.

A few weeks ago, this would've registered as a surprise, but Okoro showed well during the preseason and will presumably get the nod at small forward over Cedi Osman. The rookie out of Auburn does not project as an overly valuable fantasy commodity, but that could change if his solid three-point shooting during the preseason carries over.

Okoro scored 15 points (4-7 FG, 1-1 3PT, 6-10 FT) to go along with three rebounds and four assists in 28 minutes during the Cavaliers preseason win against the Pacers on Monday.

Okoro has played a combined 61 minutes across the Cavaliers two preseason contests. Particularly notable from those performances has been Okoro's ability to shoot from deep, as he's made three of his five three-point attempts across the two contests after averaging under one per game during his lone season at Auburn. Though the team has been without a number of rotation players -- including Kevin Love (Achilles), Collin Sexton (ankle) and Kevin Porter (undisclosed) -- it appears that Okoro is set to hold a big role in his rookie campaign.

Okoro scored 18 points (6-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT) while adding three steals, a rebound and an assist in 33 minutes during Saturday's 107-104 preseason win over the Pacers.

The Cavs wasted no time in giving the fifth overall pick in the 2020 draft all the court time he could handle, and Okoro rose to the occasion in his first NBA game action. The 19-year-old likely won't see over 30 minutes a game in the regular season once Kevin Porter (undisclosed) and Collin Sexton (ankle) are back in the lineup, but the rebuilding squad will still find a significant role for Okoro in the rotation.

Okoro is starting Saturday's preseason opener against the Pacers with Collin Sexton (ankle) out, Tony East of the West Indianapolis Community News reports.

Okoro will be thrown into the fire Saturday, getting the nod in the preseason opener. He'll likely end up battling Cedi Osman for a starting spot.
