He is someone to look at in deeper formats, at least until we get an idea of exactly what his role looks like ROS.

After spending the last week with Dallas, the team has decided to reassign him to their G League affiliate where he's been dominant averaging 30 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 34.3 minutes per night. However, he's struggled to find his rhythm with Dallas averaging 4.2 points over 7.1 minutes per night.

Hardy finished with 15 points (5-13 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one rebound, one assist, one block and one steal across 23 minutes in Saturday's 144-115 loss to the Bulls.

Opportunities at the NBA level have been few and far between for Hardy during his rookie season, but he hasn't been shy about putting up shots on the rare occasions he gets some run off the bench. The blowout made that possible Saturday, and Hardy was able to set or match career highs across the board while getting extended minutes. He now owns a massive 36.7 percent usage rate over his first 42 NBA minutes, but he'll likely be much more deferential if he happens to share the floor with superstar Luka Doncic (quadriceps) at any point.

Hardy was recalled from the G League and will be available for Saturday's matchup against the Bulls.

Hardy could see action Saturday, as Luka Doncic (quadriceps), Josh Green (elbow) and Maxi Kleber (foot) are all sidelined. In Green's 19 total NBA minutes, he's racked up 15 points, three rebounds and one assist.

Hardy finished with 10 points (4-5 FG, 2-2 FT) in 2:25 of court time in Monday's 130-111 win over the Suns.

According to Callie Caplan of The Dallas Morning News, head coach Jason Kidd said prior to the game that Hardy was deserving of more playing time with the Mavericks, after the rookie second-round pick had averaged 29.0 points (on 54.8 percent shooting from the field), 4.4 three-pointers, 4.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 0.9 blocks and 0.7 steals in 34.1 minutes per game over his first nine contests with the G League's Texas Legends. Though Kidd didn't give any run to Hardy on Monday until the outcome was already in hand, the 20-year-old provided a glimpse of his immense potential. While sporting an absurd 107.7 usage rate, Hardy put up points efficiently, though he also picked up two fouls along the way. Hardy could get a look in the Dallas rotation at some point, but it may take a couple injuries to backcourt players before that materializes.

Head coach Jason Kidd indicated Saturday that Hardy should see some minutes versus the Knicks, Dwain Price of the Mavericks' official site reports.

It seems unlikely Hardy will be a major factor in the contest, but he's expected to get some run for the Mavs. Hardy notably played just six and four minutes in his only two other appearances for Dallas.

Dallas recalled Hardy to the NBA squad Tuesday.

Hardy was showing out at the G League level, posting 29.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.0 blocks while shooting 54.8 percent from the field and 48.2 percent from three across nine games with the Texas Legends. The rookie has only made two appearances for the Mavericks this season, going scoreless across 10 total minutes, but Hardy could be in store for a reserve role after the departure of Facundo Campazzo.

The Mavericks recalled Hardy from the G League's Texas Legends in advance of Sunday's game against the Nuggets.

After sitting out the Legends' game Wednesday against the Mexico City Capitanes due to an illness, Hardy returned to action for the G League club Friday, finishing with 29 points, four rebounds, three assists and one block in 36 minutes. The rookie looks to be healthy again and should be available off the bench for Sunday's game against Denver, though he's unlikely to be included in head coach Jason Kidd's rotation.

Hardy is back with the Mavericks after a two-game stint with the Legends over the weekend. In those two G League appearances, Hardy averaged 28.0 points, 4.5 assists and 4.0 rebounds in 34.9 minutes. The rookie is unlikely to be included in Dallas' rotation for Monday's game against Brooklyn.

The Mavericks assigned Hardy to the Texas Legends of the G League on Thursday.

As expected, Hardy is rejoining the Legends for this weekend's games versus the Austin Spurs. Hardy will likely bounce back and forth between the Legends and Mavericks this season. The rookie guard has played in two games this season and averaged 1.0 rebounds and 0.5 assists in 5.0 minutes.

Hardy was recalled by the Mavericks on Wednesday.

Hardy will rejoin the parent squad after spending just two days with the G League's Texas Legends. In two appearances this season, the guard has averaged five minutes of playing time per contest.

Hardy is not in the starting lineup for Friday's preseason matchup with the Jazz, Callie Caplan of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Hardy played 20 minutes and started in last Friday's preseason matchup with the Magic. He posted six points, three assists and two rebounds. However, with the return of the Maverick's normal starters, Hardy will move back to a reserve role off the bench.

Hardy burst onto the scene with 21 points in 24 minutes during his first preseason contest. He'll be rewarded with his strong play by entering the starting lineup next to Luka Doncic, who sat out the preseason opener.

Hardy tallied 21 points (8-16 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound, one assist and one steal over 24 minutes in a 98-96 preseason victory versus Oklahoma City on Wednesday.

Hardy led all players across both teams in scoring in Dallas' first preseason contest of the campaign. The 6-foot-4 guard was selected by the Mavericks in the second round of July's draft, and he shot just 34.7 percent from the field during the Las Vegas Summer League. He isn't expected to log major NBA minutes this season but could lend an occasional scoring spark off the bench.
