The last time Green's scoring total has dipped below 20 points was three weeks ago, and he's been on an aggressive tear of production since, averaging 29.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists over the past nine games.

Green carried the Rockets offensively once again, and there's no question he's currently riding another one of his patented hot streaks. This was his seventh straight game with at least 25 points, a span in which he's averaging 31.4 points per game while shooting an impressive 53.5 percent from the floor.

Green endured a rough patch between Dec. 11 and Dec. 26, a span in which he averaged just 11.6 points per game while shooting 30.5 percent from the field, but he seems to be leaving those woes behind after surpassing the 25-point mark in his last two outings. The inconsistencies and lack of efficiency are something that tends to happen with Green on a regular basis, but his fantasy stock lies more on his offensive volume rather than being an efficient shooter.

Green delivered a strong offensive performance despite the loss, scoring 23 points including 6-of-12 from the three-point line. With Dillon Brooks (oblique) sidelined, Green will have to do more on both ends of the floor for the foreseeable future. If he was dropped in your league, now is a good time to take a chance on a player we have seen catch fire in the past.

Poor efficiency from the field and a lack of peripheral statistics continue to cap Green's overall fantasy upside and render him a far more useful option in points leagues than category formats.

Green posted a game-high 42 points by shooting an impressive 60.0 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from beyond the arc. His 42-point night marks a new career high for the 20-year-old, and it comes only a few nights after tying his previous top mark Wednesday against Charlotte (41 points).

Green had 41 points (16-24 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five rebounds and seven assists over 40 minutes during Wednesday's 122-117 loss to the Hornets.

The 41-point performance represented Green's best scoring mark this season by a wide margin, as his previous season-best mark was a 34-point effort against the Magic on Nov. 7. Green has experienced an uptick in his usage rate of late, which is to be expected with Kevin Porter (foot) sidelined, and this has translated in him putting up at least 20 points in each of his last four contests. The second-year guard is averaging 24.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game in January.

Green finished Monday's 140-132 loss to the Lakers with 23 points (7-20 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 6-8 FT), five rebounds and three assists in 39 minutes.

Back in action after he served a one-game suspension in Sunday's loss to the Clippers, Green saw extended playing time out of the backcourt while running mate Kevin Porter (foot) missed a third game in a row. Despite stepping in as the Rockets' de facto starting point guard, Green didn't see a major uptick in his passing, as wing Eric Gordon (eight assists) and center Alperen Sengun (six assists) instead acted as the top facilitators for Houston. Regardless of which players the Rockets have available on a given night, Green's fantasy value is largely going to be tied to his scoring and three-point production.

Though he doesn't produce much in the way of peripheral stats and is shooting just 40.6 percent overall this season, Green does provide plenty of scoring and triples, as he is averaging 21.5 points and 2.4 three-pointers per game on the campaign.

Green ended Wednesday's 135-115 loss to the Kings with 26 points (9-25 FG, 3-12 3Pt, 5-7 FT), five rebounds and three assists in 39 minutes.

Though Green led the Rockets with 26 points, he needed 25 shots to reach that mark. He appears to have the green light as he tries to work his way out of a shooting slump that has seen him make just 35 of 108 field-goal attempts (32.4 percent) over his past seven games. While Green's fairly consistent scoring output can be nice from a fantasy perspective, he's one of the game's biggest field-goal drains -- among qualified players averaging at least 20 points per contest, none have a lower field-goal rate than Green's 40.4 percent mark.

Green provided 30 points (8-24 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 10-11 FT), four rebounds and four assists in 38 minutes during Thursday's 131-114 loss to the Jazz.

Green led the Rockets with 30 points, although his shooting woes continued, going just 8-of-24 from the field. He has now shot under 35 percent in four straight games, adding basically nothing on the defensive end. His flaws are obvious for all to see, placing him well outside the top 150 for the season. While he is still a must-roster player, he is certainly not going to be a viable option for everyone.

Green logged 16 points (5-15 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one block in 32 minutes during Wednesday's 119-108 loss to the Pelicans.

Green has surpassed the 15-point mark in eight straight contests, and while he continues to produce on the backcourt, the shooting woes are real for the second-year guard. Green is shooting just 39.5 percent from the floor in his last five contests.

Green closed Monday's 111-106 loss to the Mavericks with 20 points (5-17 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 8-12 FT), five rebounds, four assists and one steal in 32 minutes.

Green has been struggling with his shot of late and hasn't made more than 10 shots in a game in all but one of his last 11 appearances. The second-year guard continues to produce and remains a must-roster player in all formats, but the shooting woes are concerning and he's connected in just 40.3 percent of his field-goal attempts in that span.

Green registered 16 points (4-12 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three rebounds and three assists across 35 minutes during Saturday's 108-88 loss to New York.

Green shot just 33.3 percent from the field, but he found more success from beyond the arc where he scored nine of his 16 points. He's knocked down three or more triples in four straight matchups, and he's averaging 22.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists over this stretch.

Green chipped in 24 points (9-15 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 0-2 FT), six rebounds, three assists and one steal in 35 minutes during Monday's 133-118 win over Chicago.

Green has surpassed the 20-point mark in three games in a row and in six of his last eight contests, so his role as one of Houston's main scoring weapons is noticeable, as evidenced by the fact that he's attempting 17.0 field goals per game in that span. The efficiency has not always been there, though, and while Green's percentage numbers are worse compared to the ones of his rookie year, he supplies that with high-volume scoring numbers. He's averaging 21.4 points across 34.5 minutes per game.

Green compiled 23 points (6-17 FG, 0-4 3PT, 11-12 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and two steals across 39 minutes in Friday's 112-106 loss to the Mavericks.

While Green stuggled from the field, he was able to make up for it with an all-around effort that included a healthy number of attempts from the charity stripe. It was the fifth time this season he got double-digit attempts from there, and by only missing one he increased his percentage on the year to 79.9. The second-year combo guard still needs to work on his efficiency, but is capable of getting hot at any moment.

Green amassed 15 points (5-16 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 5-9 FT), five rebounds, four assists and one block in 31 minutes during Saturday's 107-95 loss to the Trail Blazers.

Green failed to hit a shot from beyond the arc for the first time since Dec. 8, but he still managed to reach 15 points. He also made an impact on the glass and has now secured five or more rebounds in each of his last four matchups. The 20-year-old is averaging 21.6 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists through 29 appearances so far this season.

Green accumulated 22 points (8-21 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five rebounds, one assist, one block and three steals over 36 minutes during Thursday's 111-108 loss to the Heat.

Green is firmly entrenched as the Rockets' primary scoring weapon, and he's going through an excellent stretch over the last few weeks. The second-year guard has reached the 20-point mark in three straight contests and five of his seven games this month, averaging 23.1 points per game in that span. That said, he could use an uptick in terms of efficiency since he's making just 39.6 percent of his shots and 22.0 percent of his three-point attempts.

Green registered 26 points (7-17 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 11-12 FT), seven rebounds and four assists in 37 minutes during Tuesday's 111-97 victory over the Suns.

Green led all scorers with 26 points in the win, topping 20 points for the third time in his last four games. While his efficiency remains a bugaboo for managers, he has been able to up his productivity in both assists and rebounds. The scoring will generally be there on most nights, so adding some peripheral production is going to be key to maximizing his fantasy value moving forward.

Green finished Sunday's 97-92 victory over the Bucks with 30 points (12-21 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds and three assists over 34 minutes.

Green led all scorers Sunday as the Rockets caused a massive boilover, dropping 30 points for the sixth time this season. Despite career-high numbers across multiple categories, Green currently sits well outside the top 150, thanks primarily to poor efficiency and high turnovers. These are known fantasy issues, and something that managers should have been prepared for coming into the season. Flaws aside, he has been as advertised and should be rostered in all formats.

Green produced 30 points (8-24 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 12-16 FT), three rebounds, two assists and three steals in 37 minutes during Friday's 122-121 victory over Phoenix.

Green led the Rockets in scoring Friday with 30 points but was incredibly inefficient outside of the third quarter where he collected 20 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the field. He was just a combined 2-of-14 through the other three quarters, though his one point from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter did put Houston up 122-121 to eventually win the game. It was Green's fifth 30-point game of the season while he also recorded a season-high three steals in the contest.

Green ended with 16 points (6-16 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 3-5 FT), three rebounds and three assists in 35 minutes during Wednesday's 120-100 loss to Denver.

Green's role as one of the Rockets' main offensive weapons is not under question, but the second-year guard has been experiencing some struggles when it comes to his efficiency levels in recent games. He's failed to reach the 20-point mark in five of his last seven contests and is making just 40.2 percent of his shots from the field in that span. Those efficiency woes aren't overly concerning, however, as Green has enough volume to remain relevant in fantasy, as evidenced by the fact that he's averaging 20.0 points per game during that seven-game stretch.

Green racked up 28 points (11-19 FG, 6-9 3Pt), two rebounds and nine assists in 34 minutes during Saturday's 118-105 win over the Thunder.

Green did most of his damage on offense between the second and third quarters, going 9-of-13 from the field for 22 points over that stretch while also dishing out five assists. Despite not scoring in the fourth quarter, he still finished with a team-high 28 points on the night while connecting on a game and season-high six three-pointers. The nine assists were also both a game and season-high.

Green totaled 30 points (10-17 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 7-9 FT), five rebounds and five assists over 33 minutes before fouling out of Friday's 128-122 victory over the Hawks.

Green was coming off three games in which his offensive numbers weren't up to the same standards of the first weeks of the campaign, but he bounced back here with his fourth 30-point performance of the season. The second-year guard is experiencing an uptick compared to the numbers of his rookie year, and he's averaging 21.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists per contest.

Green (toe) is available for Friday's game against the Hawks.

No one should question Green's role as Houston's main scoring threat, but he's been struggling massively in the last few games as he's failed to reach the 20-point mark in three straight outings while making just 27.5 percent of his field-goal attempts and 12.5 percent of his threes in that span. Green started the month with six straight contests with at least 20 points, however, so the chances of him turning things around sooner than later are quite strong. The Rockets have a few days off, so Green's next chance to play will come Friday against the Hawks.

Green was listed as questionable on the initial injury report due to a shoulder injury. However, he displayed no ill effects of the issue in the contest, connecting on 10 of his 19 attempts from the field while posting a high-water mark of seven assists. There shouldn't be any real concern with Green moving forward, barring a reappearance on the injury report.

Green has had a number of poor shooting games this season, but he's improved dramatically of late, making 59.6 percent of his field-goal tries (31-for-52) over his past three contests.

Green was the only Houston player who reached the 20-point mark in this game, but his scoring efforts were not enough to pull the upset on the road. The second-year guard is firmly established as the Rockets' main scoring threat and the numbers back that up, as he's now scored at least 20 points in four straight outings, his longest streak of the current campaign.

Green supplied 34 points (12-18 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 5-7 FT), three rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals across 38 minutes during Monday's 134-127 win over Orlando.

The second-year guard set a new season high in points while leading the Rockets to their first win in seven games. Green also has his best shooting night of the year, as he came into Monday with a rough 37.7 percent FG%. Despite those struggles, he's averaging 20.8 points, 4.0 boards, 2.9 threes, 2.3 assists and 0.9 steals through 11 games.

Green is available for Monday's contest against the Magic, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Though the Rockets dropped their fifth game in a row, Green at least rediscovered his shooting touch after a rough four-game stretch. Green has yet to build on the improved efficiency he showed toward the end of his rookie season, but he's bound to take a step forward from the 48 percent true shooting rate he's turned in through the first nine games of 2022-23. Fantasy managers should continue to exercise patience with the second-year guard.

Green finished Sunday's 124-109 loss to Phoenix with 15 points (5-18 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), one rebound, two assists and one steal in 31 minutes.

Green needed 18 shots just to score 15 points, and to make things even worse, he didn't record major contributions in other categories to salvage his fantasy outing. The second-year guard has been trending in the wrong direction of late, though, averaging just 14.3 points and shooting 26.3 percent from the field across his last three outings.

The Rockets exercised Green's third-year option for the 2023-24 season Sunday.

Green has had a prominent role for the Rockets early in his professional career, and it's not surprising to see the team pick up his third-year option. Over the first six matchups of the 2022-23 season, he's averaged 20.7 points, 5.0 points and 2.3 assists in 33.7 minutes per game.

Green closed Monday's 114-108 victory over the Jazz with 25 points (9-16 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds and three assists across 36 minutes.

Although Kevin Porter took sway the crown as the team's top scorer in Houston's first win, Green put up another excellent line. His 16 shot attempts marked his fewest so far this season, but he made up for it by sinking them at a 56.3 percent clip.

Green ended with 22 points (6-19 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 6-6 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one steal across 32 minutes during Saturday's 125-105 loss to the Bucks.

Though Green paced Houston in scoring for the second straight game, he had trouble getting his shot to fall, especially from inside the arc. He shot well from three-point range (4-for-7) but went just 2-for-12 on two-point attempts. Green also posted modest complementary stats, so this wasn't a huge fantasy performance. He's shooting 43.3 percent from the field on the season while averaging 23.7 points, 4.7 boards, 2.3 dimes, 3.0 three-pointers and 1.0 steals.

Green supplied 33 points (13-21 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal in 35 minutes during Friday's 129-122 loss to the Grizzlies.

Green posted underwhelming numbers in the season opener with 16 points across 20 shots, but he bounced back admirably here and carried the team despite the loss, as Green couldn't outplay Ja Morant in a duel between two of the most exciting young guards in The Association. While Green should be prone to having a few days off from time to time, his role as Houston's main offensive threat shouldn't be under question.

Green caught fire in the victory, ending his preseason with a bang. After a strong end to his rookie campaign, Green comes into his sophomore season with a decent amount of hype. Managers wishing to acquire his services will have to reach into the fifth round of many drafts. However, do remember that his peripheral production remains questionable, adding a small element of risk to his upside.

Green is finally living up to the hype that made him one of the top picks in the 2021 NBA Draft, and while the up-and-downs are expected for a rookie, he's been tearing it up of late. Over his last 10 contests, Green is averaging 21.8 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.6 assists while shooting 42 percent from deep. As if that wasn't enough, Green has also scored 30 or more points in each of his last three appearances.

Green notched 32 points (11-25 FG, 6-14 3Pt, 4-5 FT), two rebounds and two assists over 37 minutes during Wednesday's 121-118 loss to the Kings.

Green was undoubtedly one of the best offensive threats for the Rockets but wasn't entirely efficient, as he needed 25 shots to record 32 points and didn't offer much in other categories. Either way, the rookie has now scored at least 30 points in back-to-back games and has now delivered at least 23 points in four straight appearances. He's averaging 20.8 points per game in March.

Green is on an insane three-game run, averaging 26.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists over the past week. The first-round draft pick now looks like a sound investment for the Rockets, who will try to find another playmaker like Green with a high pock in the offseason.

Green has improved his shooting considerably over the past two months -- he has pushed his season shooting rate to 41.7 percent after sitting at just 37.0 percent through the end of January.

Green supplied 23 points (9-16 FG, 5-10 3Pt) and three rebounds across 28 minutes during Friday's 125-106 win over the Trail Blazers.

The Rockets rolled over the tanking Blazers, who managed just 106 points and shot 3-of-20 from deep as a team. The rookie got off to a bit of a rocky start, but he's been much better over the second half of the season. Dating back to Feb. 2 (24 games), Green is averaging 18.0 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists and shooting 47.1 percent from the field (37.8% 3Pt).

Green closed with 17 points (7-14 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 0-1 FT), six rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal in 32 minutes during Monday's 115-97 win over the Wizards.

After a slight regression against Memphis, Green got back to his recent high-scoring ways. Although the eight-point performance against the Grizzlies left much to be desired, he still managed averages of 16.8 points, 3.8 assists and 3.6 rebounds over the past five games.

Green accumulated 20 points (6-15 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 7-7 FT), five rebounds, six assists and one block across 37 minutes during Friday's 121-118 loss to the Pacers.

Green scored 20-plus points for a second consecutive game and for the 18th time this season. It was also just the second time that the rookie finished with at least 20 points, five rebounds and five assists in a game during the campaign. Across 10 games in March, Green has averaged 21.1 points, 4.1 assists and 3.3 rebounds in 34.3 minutes per game.

Green notched 17 points (6-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds, four assists and one steal over 27 minutes during Sunday's 130-105 loss to New Orleans.

Green managed to walk away with a decent fantasy line Sunday, despite the fact the team was completely outplayed. The rookie has had some issues shooting the ball thus far, coming in at 41 percent on the season. However, over the past month, he has upped that to almost 49 percent, while also increasing his shot attempts. The Rockets are fully invested in Green and so he should have a clear runway to minutes ROS.

Green provided 32 points (13-21 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, three assists and one block over 38 minutes during Wednesday's 139-130 overtime victory over the Lakers.

Green delivered his highest point total of the campaign while shooting better than 60 percent from the field to help push the Rockets past the Lakers. The 20-year-old has enjoyed a strong rookie campaign overall but has really stepped up of late with averages of 23.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists across the past six games.

Though his showing from the free-throw line could have been better, Green has nonetheless continued to make strides with his overall efficiency after struggling as a shooter for the majority of his rookie campaign. He's still converting only 40 percent of his field goals for the season, but that rate has jumped to 46.7 percent -- including 36.7 percent from three-point range on seven attempts per game -- since the beginning of February. If Green can maintain this level of efficiency over the final five weeks of the season, managers in dynasty or keeper leagues in particular will have to be encouraged about his long-term outlook.

Green registered 18 points (7-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-4 FT), five rebounds, seven assists and one block in 32 minutes during Friday's 116-101 loss to the Nuggets.

Green couldn't repeat the 27-point output he delivered against the Jazz earlier this week, but he still ended with a decent stat line across the board. He has scored over 15 points in each of his last three contests and has averaged 17.7 points since the beginning of February.

The rookie had an excellent performance and while the Rockets lost this one, he can't be the one to blame. Green was efficient and trustworthy on offense, but that has been a trend with him of late. The first-year guard has scored at least 20 points in four of his last five contests.

Though Green hasn't quite lived up to the Rookie of the Year hype he held heading into the campaign, the 20-year-old has seemingly settled into a groove since late January. He's reached double figures in the scoring column in 14 straight games, with his 27-point outing Wednesday marking his best showing in the category since Jan. 1. Green is also converting at a 44.7 percent clip from the field and a 35.8 percent clip from downtown, both of which are well above his season-long rates (39.6 and 31.2 percent, respectively). The young guard typically doesn't offer much production in the peripheral categories, however, so he'll continue to retain his most fantasy value in points leagues.

Green contributed 20 points (9-21 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals in 33 minutes during Tuesday's 113-100 loss to the Clippers.

Green reached the 20-point mark for the third time over his last four appearances, and perhaps even more importantly, he showed the ability to bounce back instantly following a subpar performance since he had scored just 10 points in the previous meeting against the Clippers on Feb. 27. The rookie scored in double figures in every February matchup and is averaging 16.8 points per game over his last 11 contests.

Green closed Friday's 119-111 loss to the Magic with 23 points (9-16 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists and four steals in 31 minutes.

In Houston's first game after the All-Star break, Green picked up right where he left off by scoring 20-plus points for a second straight contest while also generating solid marks in rebounds and steals. He's now scored in double figures in 11 consecutive appearances and has averaged 16.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 31.8 minutes per game during that time.

Green totaled 20 points (8-13 FG, 4-9 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block during Friday's 50-49 loss to Team Isiah during the Rising Stars competition at All-Star Weekend.

Green's full offensive repertoire was on display for Team Worthy. The 6-foot-4 guard made numerous highlight-reel plays at the rim and showed off his shooting range by knocking down a game-high four threes. The 2021 No. 2 overall draft pick was aggressive early and often during the first leg of the Rising Stars new format, but his performance was ultimately not enough as Saddiq Bey swatted his potential game-winning shot before Desmond Bane iced the game for Team Isiah with a pair of free throws.

Houston was blown out Thursday, but Green enjoyed a solid offensive performance with five triples and a team-leading 21 points. He has knocked down multiple three-pointers in three straight contests and is shooting a healthy 47.5 percent overall -- and 44.4 percent from beyond the arc -- over that stretch. Those numbers are vast improvements over his 38.7 percent field-goal rate and 31.1 percent mark from deep on the season.

Green contributed 12 points (3-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, three assists and one steal across 23 minutes during Friday's 131-106 loss to San Antonio.

Green was one of five Houston players that scored in double digits in this one, but he wasn't very efficient across the board and didn't do much in other categories. At least the rookie remains productive since he has scored in double digits in four games in a row.

Green registered three points (0-11 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds and three assists over 25 minutes during Friday's 105-103 loss to the Warriors.

The rookie had strung together a nice 12-game run since returning from a hamstring injury, but he's now struggled in back-to-back games against the Jazz and Warriors, respectively. Green shot just 3-of-13 from the field against Utah and missed all 11 of his attempts Friday night. Nonetheless, the rookie should be allowed to play through his growing pains on a Rockets team with its eye on the future.

Green racked up 14 points (6-12 FG, 2-6 3Pt), five rebounds and one assist across 30 minutes during Monday's 111-91 loss to the 76ers.

Green logged one of his most accurate shooting nights since returning from a 14-game absence and has logged double-digit scoring numbers in every game since rejoining the team. The Rockets depend heavily on Green's production, and he should remain in the starting lineup, barring any health setbacks.

Green finished Wednesday's 114-111 win over the Wizards with 22 points (8-17 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 4-5 FT), six rebounds and one assist across 34 minutes.

Green has averaged a healthy 17.7 points on 44.6 percent shooting from the field across his previous six games since returning from a hamstring injury. However, the rookie is continuing to supply very few peripheral stats. Green has graded as a negative contributor during his time on the floor on the season, but his recent offensive uptick is promising.

As a result, Green saw only 25 minutes -- a far cry from the 36 minutes he'd played in each of the previous two games. While Green has shown some encouraging signs thus far, it's been a relatively disappointing start for the No. 2 overall pick, who's still shooting well below 40 percent from the field and 30 percent from three.

Things continue to look bleak for the Rockets, who are now a pitiful 1-12 on the season. Green has come through to lead the team in scoring on a couple of occasions recently, but the team as a whole is struggling mightily. The coaching staff has hinted that some radical lineup changes could occur soon, so Green's production may be negatively affected.

Green's potential is clear, but he's crushing fantasy managers' field-goal percentage and hasn't been great from the free-throw line either (76.6 percent before Saturday).

The rookie has suffered through a number of poor shooting performances this season, so it seems apparent that fantasy managers who roster him are going to have to accept that he will often drag them down in the field-goal percentage category. Green did manage to make up his cold shooting somewhat with an 8-for-8 performance from the line Thursday, which was easily his best effort from the charity stripe thus far. Green's up-and-down campaign has included two games of 24-plus points as well as three contests in which he has failed to reach double-digit scoring.

Green came out red-hot against the Lakers, scoring 18 of his 24 points in the first half. He disappeared for the majority of the second half but nailed a pair of perimeter buckets down the stretch as the Rockets pressed for an unlikely victory. It's been an interesting start to Green's professional career but it's fair to say that his role is clear. As long as you can deal with the inconsistent scoring, Green is a clear must-roster asset across all formats.

Ouch. The rookie and second-overall pick has misfired badly in back-to-back games, shooting just 7-for-32. The silver lining: He is unabashedly firing away. Seeing Green continue the volume shooting resonates confidence for his growth. The Rockets are the perfect environment to facilitate that growth, and his next opportunity will come Sunday against the Lakers.

Green finished Sunday's loss to the Celtics with 30 points (11-18 FG, 8-10 3Pt), four rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal.

It was easily the best performance of the season for the No. 2 overall pick, who scored just nine points in each of his first two appearances heading into Sunday. Green's eight three-pointers set a new Rockets rookie record, and he fell just one shy of the NBA rookie record of nine, which is, of course, held by held by Rodrigue Beaubois and Yogi Ferrell. Green also threw down several thunderous dunks on his way to a team-high 30 points, providing a glimpse into why he's perhaps the highest-upside player in the 2021 Draft class. Green and the Rockets head into a three-game Week 2 that begins Tuesday at Dallas and also includes meetings with the Jazz (Thursday) and Lakers (Sunday).

Green finished Wednesday's blowout loss to Minnesota with nine points (4-14 FG, 1-6 3Pt), four rebounds, four assists and one steal.

The Rockets were blitzed early on and never recovered in a game that turned into a certified blowout by halftime. In his regular-season debut, Green finished as a minus-37 in 32 minutes of action, and he converted just one of his six three-point attempts. Nonetheless, Green remains one of the year's highest-upside rookies, and he should have a long leash to develop for the rebuilding Rockets.

Green finished Friday's preseason game against the Spurs with 16 points (4-12 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 7-8 FT) and one assist.

Finishing out the preseason, the Rockets handled the game like somewhat of a dress rehearsal, as Green (32 minutes), Christian Wood (33) and Kevin Porter Jr. (33) all saw a full workload. The No. 2 overall pick has had an up-and-down preseason -- he's coming off of a seven-turnover effort against Toronto on Monday -- but he'll begin the regular season as a starter and is widely considered the favorite to lead all rookies in scoring. Whether Green will offer fantasy managers much beyond points and threes remains to be seen, however.

Green managed five points (2-6 FG, 1-5 3Pt), four rebounds and four assist during Monday's preseason loss to Toronto.

The rookie wasn't much of a factor during another preseason start, as Green converted just two field goals and turned the ball over seven times across 25 minutes of action. Green was coming off of a much better showing against Miami on Thursday, when he posted 20 points with four three-pointers and three steals in 28 minutes.

Green provided 12 points (4-14 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 4-6 FT), six rebounds and two assists in 28 minutes during Tuesday's 120-116 preseason win over the Wizards.

The rookie was aggressive in finding his shot, though he wasn't efficient. Still, it's encouraging that he got to the free-throw line six times in 28 minutes.

Green said Monday that he's fully healthy following the hamstring injury that hindered him during Summer League, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.

The No. 2 overall pick downplayed the severity of the issue, which he said required two-to-three weeks of rehab before he felt 100 percent healthy. He'll begin training camp penciled into the starting lineup at one guard spot along Kevin Porter Jr. as the Rockets head into what will likely be another rebuilding season. Expectations are high for Green, who spent last season with the G League Ignite, and he joins Porter Jr. and Chrstian Wood as the keystones of Houston's future. Fantasy-wise, Green projects as more of a score-first guard, so points, three-pointers and free throws will likely be his most valuable categories early on.

Green may be in line for a larger role this season after the Rockets announced that John Wall will not play in any games for the team, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

The No. 2 overall pick was already set to be a key contributor for the rebuilding Rockets, but with Wall now out of the picture, he'll join Kevin Porter Jr. and Christian Wood as the team's clear top three offensive options. Both Wood and Porter Jr. are high-usage options, so Green could open the year as the No. 3 of that trio, but he'll see action at point guard, shooting guard and small forward during what projects to be a high-minute rookie season. Green's fantasy profile will likely be shaded heavily toward scoring and three-pointers, but he's one of the handful of first-year players worth targeting with a later-round pick in fantasy leagues.

Green will miss the remainder of the Summer League due to a hamstring problem, according to Ben DuBose of Yahoo Sports.

The second pick in the 2021 NBA Draft has been one of the standout performers in the Summer League, averaging 20.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game while shooting an impressive 51.4 percent from the field. The Rockets will be cautious with him and will attempt to have him fully healthy by the time training camp starts next September.
