Puts up 14 points in loss
Bouyea closed Wednesday's 138-89 loss to Oklahoma City with 14 points (6-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt), two rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal across 28 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Bouyea has taken advantage of his opportunity for extra playing time with Devin Booker (groin) and Jalen Green (hamstring) out, averaging 12.3 points on a crazy 68.2 percent from the field and 1.7 threes on a blistering 71.4 percent clip. While these shooting numbers are not sustainable, and his volume will inevitably go down once Booker and/or Green return, Bouyea has certainly made a case for a spot among the rotation even with everyone healthy.

18 points in 18 minutes
Bouyea contributed 18 points (7-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal across 18 minutes during Friday's 117-98 loss to the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Bouyea scored a season-high 18 points, playing a ton of minutes down the stretch as the Suns were blown out by the Rockets. With Phoenix quite banged up at the moment, Bouyea has been able to insert himself into the rotation, playing at least 14 minutes in five straight games. For those in deeper formats, he is worth considering, at least until the Suns get some healthy bodies back on the floor.

Records three steals in win
Bouyea ended with seven points (3-3 FG, 1-1 3Pt), one rebound, five assists and three steals in 23 minutes during Monday's 125-108 win over the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Bouyea was a part of a constricting Suns defense that held the Lakers on a seven-game winning streak to just 108 points, as the team forced 21 turnovers and logged 16 steals. While Bouyea is on a two-way contract, it is possible he continues to see extended run if Devin Booker (groin) misses any time.

Bouyea agreed to a two-way contract with the Suns on Monday, ESPN's Shams Charania reports.
ANALYSIS
Bouyea has 19 career NBA regular-season appearances and was in the midst of a breakout campaign with the Austin Spurs in the G League prior to this transaction. The Suns do have a lot of injuries at the moment, so Bouyea could have a chance to carve out some minutes at the edge of the rotation.

Waived Monday
Bouyea was waived by the Bucks on Monday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
The Bucks needed to cut someone to make room for the third Antetokounmpo, Alex, so Bouyea will be the guy to get the axe.

Four swipes in loss
Bouyea finished with 20 points (8-16 FG, 4-7 3Pt), four rebounds, three assists and four steals across 20 minutes during Saturday's Summer League 93-83 loss to the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS

The San Francisco product was one of two players for Milwaukee to score 20 or more points, with Chris Livingston (21) being the other. Bouyea was also a menace defensively, with a game-high four steals.

Drills game-winning triple
Bouyea tallied 13 points (5-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt), three rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block across 26 minutes during Thursday's 90-89 Summer League win over Denver.
ANALYSIS
Bouyea did significant damage from downtown in this one, which included a three at the buzzer to win the exhibition. He was one of three starters to score in double figures, with Chris Livingston's 18 points leading the way. Bouyea spent the majority of the 2024-25 campaign in the G League, averaging 19.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.1 blocks in 21 appearances.

ANALYSIS
With the Bucks resting several of its rotational players, Bouyea will be inserted into the starting five for the first time in his NBA career. He's averaged 3.5 minutes per game over his four outings with Milwaukee but should get an extended run in Sunday's regular-season finale.

Scores 20 against Denver
Bouyea logged 20 points (7-16 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds, three assists, one steal and one three-pointer in 30 minutes during Friday's 112-81 Summer League loss to Denver.
ANALYSIS
Miami was missing Nikola Jovic, Orlando Robinson, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Dru Smith and Drew Peterson, so lots of players were given an opportunity to step up. However, Bouyea was one of the few bright spots as the Heat were run out of the building. Bouyea is expected to be a featured player for Miami's G League affiliate after inking a two-way deal this summer.

Overcomes ankle sprain
Bouyea (ankle) started and played 28 minutes in Thursday's 91-72 win over the Bucks in the Las Vegas Summer League, scoring nine points (3-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT) and adding 10 assists, four rebounds, two blocks and one steal.
ANALYSIS
After missing the Heat's opening game in Las Vegas on Saturday versus the Celtics due to a right ankle sprain, Bouyea returned to action for Monday's 73-70 loss to Phoenix and played 29 minutes off the bench. With Nikola Jovic resting Thursday, the Heat opened up a spot in the starting five for Bouyea, who has now compiled 19 assists across his last two contests. Bouyea is already on the books for the Heat for the 2023-24 season after inking a two-way contract earlier this month.

ANALYSIS
Bouyea spent most of the 2022-23 season with the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the G League but recorded five appearances with Miami, averaging 3.0 points across 14.0 minutes per game. He will participate in the Summer League with the Heat, and the coming months will be key to determining whether he'll get a spot in the final roster. Either way, it wouldn't be surprising if he spends most of the upcoming campaign in the G League once again.
Mar 13, 2023
Back on open market
Bouyea's 10-day contract with the Wizards expired Monday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Bouyea is eligible to return to Washington on a second 10-day deal, but it's unclear if the club intends to re-sign him after he appeared in just one game for the club and logged zero points and one rebound in his six-minute cameo. If Bouyea isn't retained, he'll likely rejoin the G League's Sioux Falls Skyforce, with whom he had been playing before signing his 10-day deal with Washington earlier this month.

Signs 10-day with Wizards
Bouyea agreed to a 10-day contract with the Wizards on Thursday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Bouyea signed with the Heat on a 10-day deal in February which ended up expiring. Feb 14, 2023
Impresses in expanded bench role
Bouyea produced 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt), three assists, three steals, two rebounds and one block across 28 minutes in Monday's 112-108 loss to the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
The Heat have a long history of plucking undrafted players out of obscurity and turning them into productive rotation players, and Bouyea could be the latest example. The 23-year-old rookie out of San Francisco was signed to a 10-day deal last week and has immediately stepped into the rotation as the backup to starting point guard Gabe Vincent while Kyle Lowry (knee) has been sidelined. Bouyea can't be relied upon to get 20-plus minutes on a regular basis even if Lowry is sidelined after the All-Star break, but he should get some extra run once again Wednesday in Brooklyn while Tyler Herro (knee) and Victor Oladipo (ankle) continue to sit.
Feb 7, 2023
Joining Heat on 10-day deal
Bouyea will sign a 10-day contract with the Heat, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Miami could be looking for some insurance at guard with Kyle Lowry bothered by a knee issue. Bouyea has been putting up some impressive numbers in the G League, but there is no guarantee he sees the floor in Miami. However, he is expected to be available for Wednesday's matchup with Indiana.
Oct 12, 2022
Waived by Miami
Bouyea was waived by the Heat on Wednesday, Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press reports.
ANALYSIS
The Heat trimmed down their roster significantly Wednesday and unfortunately, Bouyea wasn't apart of it. It's reported that Bouyea will likely have a good shot at securing a G League deal, most notably with the Sioux Falls Skyforce.
Oct 7, 2022
Impressive fourth quarter
Bouyea compiled 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt), two rebounds, a steal and a block in 12 minutes in a 109-80 preseason win in Brooklyn.
ANALYSIS
Bouyea did not enter the game until the fourth quarter but made the most of his opportunity in his preseason debut for the Heat. Ten of his 12 points came in the final seven minutes as he made four of his last six field goal attempts. The 23-year-old rookie went undrafted after averaging 17.3 points in his final year at San Francisco and is on an Exhibit 10 contract. He's likely to start the regular season in the G League.
Jul 13, 2022
Joining Heat on Exhibit 10
Bouyea and the Heat agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract Tuesday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Bouyea impressed Miami's brass enough in Summer League to earn an Exhibit 10 deal. Bouyea was a five-year player at San Francisco in college and averaged 17.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.8 steals last season. He was named to the WCC All-Conference First Team in 2021 and 2022.
