Struggles offensively in win
Jackson ended Sunday's 119-96 victory over the Trail Blazers with six points (3-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds, four assists, two blocks and three steals in 24 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has now scored in single digits in two of his past three games, but he does have seven steals and two blocks during that stretch. Even with Ja Morant (calf) sidelined, Jackson hasn't been able to take advantage offensively, averaging 17.0 points per game, which would be his lowest mark since 2021-22.
Dec 3, 2025
Season-low seven points Tuesday
Jackson chipped in seven points (3-9 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, two assists and two steals across 27 minutes during Tuesday's 126-119 loss to the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
It was perhaps a season-worst effort by Jackson, whose seven points were a season low. The star big man has averaged 17.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.0 blocks per contest in 20 games this season, and it's possible his fantasy upside will improve once Ja Morant (calf) returns to lift some of the playmaking pressure off Jackson's shoulders.
Nov 26, 2025
Nets season-high 27 points in win
Jackson recorded 27 points (9-23 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, two assists, three steals and one block over 36 minutes during Wednesday's 133-128 overtime win in New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
While it wasn't the most efficient scoring performance, Jackson still notched a new season high in points and he racked up four stocks after failing to record any defensive stats his last time out. He also finished without any turnovers, which is just the third time that's happened this season.
Nov 25, 2025
Another ho-hum performance
Jackson provided 16 points (7-16 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds and four assists in 29 minutes during Monday's 125-115 loss to the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Jackson continues to be nothing but adequate, as Memphis fell to its sixth loss in the past eight games. Despite being relatively healthy, Jackson simply hasn't been able to get any forward momentum, averaging 17.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.2 blocks and 1.6 three-pointers through 16 games, putting him well outside the top 100 in standard fantasy formats.
Nov 24, 2025
Good to go Monday
Jackson (ankle) is available for Monday's game against the Nuggets, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson will shed his questionable tag and return from a two-game absence due to a right ankle sprain. The 26-year-old forward's return will likely result in fewer minutes for Santi Aldama, John Konchar and Olivier-Maxence Prosper. Over his last five games, Jackson has averaged 19.6 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 29.6 minutes per contest.
Nov 23, 2025
Questionable for Monday
Jackson (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Jackson could miss a third straight game due to a right ankle sprain. If he is unable to go, Santi Aldama and Vince Williams could see increased roles.
Nov 22, 2025
Won't play Saturday
Jackson (ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Mavericks, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson will miss his second consecutive contest due to a sprained right ankle, and his next opportunity to suit up will come Monday against the Nuggets. With the 26-year-old sidelined, Santi Aldama, John Konchar and Olivier-Maxence Prosper are candidates for increased playing time.
Nov 21, 2025
Doubtful for Saturday
Jackson (ankle) is unlikely to play in Saturday's game against Dallas.
ANALYSIS
A sprained ankle is likely to cost Jackson a second contest in a row. With the star big man not expected to play Saturday, Santi Aldama should draw the start at power forward. More playing time is likely to be available for the versatile Vince Williams as well.
Nov 20, 2025
Officially out
Jackson (ankle) won't play Thursday against the Kings, Chris Biderman of The Sacramento Bee reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was initially added to the injury as doubtful with a right ankle sprain, and the team has since downgraded him to out. His absence should allow for Santi Aldama and John Konchar to see an increase in chances Thursday night.
Nov 19, 2025
Not expected to play Thursday
Jackson is doubtful for Thursday's game against the Kings due to a sprained right ankle.
ANALYSIS
Jackson must have picked up the injury during Tuesday's loss in San Antonio. Assuming the star big man is ultimately ruled out, his next chance to return would be Saturday in Dallas. Santi Aldama figures to jump into the starting lineup at power forward Thursday, while John Konchar should see an uptick in playing time off the bench.
Nov 19, 2025
Puts up 18 in loss
Jackson totaled 18 points (8-20 FG, 2-7 3Pt), six rebounds and three assists over 33 minutes during Tuesday's 111-101 loss to the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Jackson did not shoot well from the field and failed to reach the free-throw line for the first time all season, but he was still able to put up 18 points. With Ja Morant (calf) out for two weeks, Jackson will be involved a lot more offensively and needs to be more efficient with the ball if he wants to help Memphis win games.
Nov 15, 2025
Season-high 26 points
Jackson provided 26 points (6-23 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 12-14 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one block in 33 minutes during Saturday's 108-100 loss to Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
Jackson tallied a season-high 26 points, despite shooting a woeful 26 percent from the floor. With Ja Morant exiting the game during the first quarter due to a calf injury, Jackson was saddled with more responsibility on the offensive end. While his defensive numbers have been somewhat underwhelming, he could be in for a short-term scoring bump should Morant be forced to miss additional time.
Nov 12, 2025
Struggles with foul trouble in loss
Jackson produced 18 points (7-15 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds, one block and one steal in 23 minutes during Wednesday's 131-95 loss to Boston.
ANALYSIS
Foul trouble has been a major issue for Jackson this season, and Wednesday was no different, with him racking up three fouls in his first 12 minutes of play and finishing with five. He's averaging a career-high 4.2 fouls through the first 13 games of the season, and that's been impacting Jackson's playing time, with him currently averaging just 28.8 minutes a night. There's top-30 upside here, but he just can't seem to get out of his own way through these early-season struggles.
Nov 10, 2025
Scores 17 points Sunday
Jackson finished with 17 points (6-16 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-5 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and two blocks across 29 minutes during Sunday's 114-100 loss to Oklahoma City.
ANALYSIS
Jackson didn't have his best shooting performance, but the big man still posted a solid stat line due to his contributions in peripheral stats. This was the third time he posted multiple blocks in his last four games, and Jackson will continue to be valuable in fantasy as long as he keeps doing three simple things: score as the Grizzlies' second option behind Ja Morant, block shots and crash the glass often. Over that four-game stretch, Jackson is averaging 16.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per contest.
Nov 8, 2025
Efficient in win Friday
Jackson registered 17 points (6-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT) and four rebounds over 29 minutes during Friday's 118-104 win over the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Jackson delivered a bounce-back performance Friday after putting up a season-low nine points in a loss to the Rockets on Wednesday. Jackson has been consistent as a reliable offensive weapon for the Grizzlies and has reached the 15-point mark in all but one game this season. He has the potential to score at an even higher rate if needed, but at least, he's delivering a solid floor every time he steps on the hardwood.
Nov 3, 2025
Nets 21 points with two blocks
Jackson closed Monday's 114-106 loss to the Pistons with 21 points (8-14 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 31 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Jackson hadn't collected any defensive stats in his previous two outings, but he snapped the defensive donut streak early in this game, stuffing Jalen Duren at the rim. He's never going to be a good rebounder, but he'll score efficiently while chipping in some triples and defensive stats, which gives him a top-50 floor.
Nov 2, 2025
First 20-point effort this year
Jackson accumulated 20 points (8-15 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), nine rebounds and three assists across 32 minutes during Sunday's 117-104 loss to the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Jackson had the role of Memphis' primary scoring option in the absence of Ja Morant (suspension), and he responded by registering a season high in points. Jackson has been a steady producer so far, hitting the 15-point threshold in each of his first seven outings. The star big man has averaged 17.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.1 blocks in 28.3 minutes per game, shooting 52.9 percent from the floor.
Oct 30, 2025
Posts 18 points in narrow loss
Jackson registered 18 points (7-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-4 FT), six rebounds, three assists, one block and three steals across 32 minutes during Wednesday's 114-113 victory over Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
Although Jackson is providing steady production so far, he's yet to surpass 19 points this season, which is a significant regression from his usual career numbers. Jackson's recent toe injury shortened his window of preparation in the preseason, so it may only be a matter of logging more time on the. court to get him back on track.
Oct 28, 2025
Another steady outing
Jackson ended Monday's 131-118 loss to the Warriors with 16 points (4-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT), seven rebounds and one steal in 29 minutes.
ANALYSIS
After signing a four-year, $163 million extension with the Grizzlies in July, Jackson hasn't yet stepped up with a ceiling game in 2025-26. He's scored between 16 and 19 points in all four games so far, and his usage and shot volume have fallen while a healthy Ja Morant dominates the Memphis offense. Jackson appears to be getting eased back into action after offseason toe surgery, so more impressive numbers should be coming, but for the moment he isn't earning his big payday. Through those four contests, the 26-year-old forward is averaging 17.5 points, 5.0 boards, 1.8 blocks and 1.0 threes in just 25.5 minutes a game.
Oct 26, 2025
Chips in 17 points in 128-103 win
Jackson supplied 17 points (6-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-6 FT), two rebounds and one assist in 25 minutes during Saturday's 128-103 win over the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Memphis held a 103-84 lead going into the fourth quarter, meaning Jackson, Jr. earned a good amount of rest over the final quarter in their 25-point victory. JJJ has scored at least 17 points while playing between 21 and 27 minutes in each of the Grizzlies first three contests. His next chance to reach those numbers will come on Monday night in The Bay versus the Warriors.
Oct 24, 2025
Drops team-high 19 points
Jackson had 19 points (7-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 21 minutes during Friday's 146-114 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Jackson had himself a decent night despite the fact that the Grizzlies were totally outplayed. Given the game was all but over by half-time, managers have to be thrilled with Jackson's numbers. Memphis will host Indiana on Saturday, hoping to put on a better display in front of its home fans.
Oct 23, 2025
Swats six shots in win
Jackson fouled out of Wednesday's 128-122 victory over the Pelicans after recording 18 points (7-14 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and six blocks in 27 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Considering he wasn't a lock to play Opening Night after a lengthy rehab from his turf toe surgery, Jackson's fantasy managers are likely ecstatic, especially those who drafted him when his status was still in the air. Jackson did foul out of this game and that's been a theme throughout his career, but his shot-blocking upside is through the roof and he's expected to take on a larger role in the offense with Desmond Bane now in Orlando.
Oct 16, 2025
Scores 17 minutes in loss
Jackson produced 17 points (7-20 FG, 3-9 3Pt), two rebounds, one assist and one block in 22 minutes of Wednesday's 145-116 preseason loss to the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Jackson, who underwent surgery to repair a turf toe injury in his right foot in early July, returned at the front end of his projected timetable. There was some obvious rust Wednesday, but with Jackson now ready to play on Opening Night, his ADP is likely to see a late push in a positive direction.
Oct 15, 2025
Recovered from turf toe injury
Jackson (toe) will make his preseason debut in Wednesday's exhibition game against the Hornets, Sam Perley of the Hornets' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
After undergoing surgery to repair a turf toe injury in his right foot in early July, Jackson is ahead of schedule in his recovery and is ready for game action Wednesday. The star big man will look to ramp up his playing time ahead of the Oct. 22 regular-season opener against the Pelicans. Jackson had initially been a question mark for Opening Night, so fantasy managers should be pleased to see he's already been cleared to suit up this fall.
Sep 26, 2025
Cleared to ramp up activities
The Grizzlies announced on Friday that Jackson (toe) is expected to return to play in 4-to-6 weeks.
ANALYSIS
After undergoing a procedure to repair a turf toe injury in his right foot in early July, Jackson has been cleared to begin ramping up his basketball activities. The return timetable gives the star big man a chance to be ready for Opening Night, though Memphis will likely exercise caution during training camp. With Brandon Clarke (knee) already sidelined, Santi Aldama and GG Jackson may be needed to soak up the minutes at power forward early in the year.
Jul 2, 2025
Re-evaluated in 12 weeks
Jackson underwent successful surgery to repair a turf toe injury in his right foot, the Grizzlies announced Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
The Grizzlies are scheduled to re-evaluate Jackson in 12 weeks, and it's worth noting that this injury historically takes about this much time to heal after surgery. Fortunately for Memphis, this means Jackson could potentially be cleared in time for Opening Night. Right before his injury occurred, Jackson and the Grizzlies agreed to terms on a five-year, $240 million contract extension.
Jul 1, 2025
To undergo toe surgery
Jackson sustained a turf toe injury in his right foot during a live basketball run and will undergo a procedure to repair it.
ANALYSIS
Jackson is expected to make a full recovery, and the Grizzlies will provide a timetable for his return following the procedure. The star big man recently agreed to a five-year, $240 million contract extension and is coming off his second career All-Star selection. During the 2024-25 campaign, Jackson averaged 22.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.0 three-pointers, 1.5 blocks and 1.2 steals across 29.8 minutes per game in 74 regular-season appearances.
Jun 30, 2025
Expected to sign new extension
Jackson is expected to agree on a five-year, $240 million contract extension with the Grizzlies, Shams Charania of ESPN reports Monday.
ANALYSIS
Jackson will remain in Memphis on a long-term deal after signing a maximum renegotiation-and-extension. The two-time All-Star is coming off another productive year in 2024-25, during which he averaged 22.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.0 three-pointers, 1.5 blocks and 1.2 steals across 29.8 minutes per game in 74 regular-season appearances. He also recorded shooting splits of 48.8/37.5/78.1.
Apr 13, 2025
Downgraded to out
Jackson (back) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Edey and most of Memphis' regulars won't play in the regular-season finale. Despite the absence, Jackson is expected to play in the Play-In Tournament, though the Grizzlies' opponent is to be determined.
Apr 12, 2025
Unlikely vs. Mavericks
Jackson is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Mavericks due to low back soreness.
ANALYSIS
The Grizzlies have already locked up a spot in the Play-In Tournament, so there's no point in risking some of their regular rotation members, and Jackson has been often been the second- or third-best player on the team throughout the season. The doubtful tag suggests Jackson might not play, however, and if that's the case, then Lamar Stevens, GG Jackson, Jay Huff and Vince Williams could see more minutes in the frontcourt.
Apr 11, 2025
Scores 23 points in loss
Jackson chipped in 23 points (8-18 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT), one rebound, one assist and two steals across 37 minutes during Thursday's 141-125 loss to Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Jackson didn't do much outside of scoring, and the fact that he only grabbed one rebound was disappointing for fantasy managers, but most of his value should remain tied to what he brings to the table in the scoring column. Jackson has reached the 20-point mark in six of his last eight contests, averaging 21.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game over that span.
Apr 8, 2025
Shooting woes in Tuesday's win
Jackson chipped in 14 points (3-10 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 7-7 FT), five rebounds, two steals and one assist in 27 minutes during Tuesday's 124-100 win over the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Jackson delivered a lackluster performance from the field against Charlotte, and over his last five outings, he has shot only 40.0 percent from the floor. The star big man has still recorded at least 20 points in three of those five outings, though his efficiency of late is a bit concerning with the playoffs right around the corner. Jackson failed to record a block for the second straight game, though he logged multiple steals for just the second time in his last 10 appearances.
Apr 4, 2025
Subpar stat line Thursday
Jackson contributed 13 points (5-11 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 0-1 FT), four rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal in 37 minutes during Thursday's 110-108 victory over the Heat.
ANALYSIS
The Grizzlies secured a tight win over the Heat on Thursday, but Jackson didn't have his best stat line, struggling with his shot and failing to make a big impact in other categories. Perhaps the only area in which Jackson made his presence felt was on defense, as he recorded two or more steals-plus-blocks combined for the eighth time over his last nine appearances. His shot, however, wasn't as efficient as it was in previous games, and this was the first time he didn't reach the 15-point mark since posting 14 points in a loss to the Trail Blazers on March 19.
Apr 1, 2025
Grabs 15 rebounds in loss
Jackson posted 20 points (8-16 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 15 rebounds, one assist and one block in 33 minutes during Monday's 117-103 loss to the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was impressive on both ends of the court Monday, extending his streak of games with at least 20 points to three and also notching a season-high mark in the rebounding category. Jackson isn't an elite rebounder by any means, however, and this was just his fifth double-double of the campaign, and first since Jan. 20. Don't expect him to experience an uptick in that category ahead of the final weeks of the season, with the majority of Jackson's upside coming via his scoring and defensive numbers.
Mar 28, 2025
Scores 27 points in loss Thursday
Jackson racked up 27 points (9-21 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, four assists and two blocks across 31 minutes during Thursday's 125-104 loss to the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Jackson didn't have his best performance from a shooting perspective, making just nine of his 21 attempts from the floor, but he still posted an impressive line as the Grizzlies were once again without Ja Morant (hamstring) in the lineup. Jackson, who missed five games earlier this month due to an ankle injury, is averaging 19.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.7 assists and a combined 2.7 steals-plus-blocks per game in his last seven outings. Even if there are inconsistencies in his scoring numbers, Jackson provides enough value on both ends of the court to remain a key figure in all fantasy formats.
Mar 27, 2025
Absent from injury report
Jackson (face) isn't listed on the injury report ahead of Thursday's game against the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Jackson took an elbow to the face during the third quarter of Tuesday's win over Utah and did not return. However, he's avoided significant injury and will be available to face Oklahoma City on Thursday. In his last five outings, Jackson is averaging 19.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks across 30.0 minutes.
Mar 25, 2025
Doesn't return against Utah
Jackson (face) finished Tuesday's 140-103 win over the Jazz with 19 points (8-12 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal in 23 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Jackson left Tuesday's blowout win with 7:39 remaining in the third quarter after taking an elbow to the face and didn't return. However, with the Grizzlies up 105-82 entering the fourth quarter, there was little need for the star big man to check back in. Jackson's status for Thursday's matchup with the Thunder is unclear.
Mar 25, 2025
Exits to locker room Monday
Jackson (face) exited to the locker room with 7:39 remaining in the third quarter and hasn't returned to the Grizzlies' bench in Tuesday's game against the Jazz, per the broadcast.
ANALYSIS
Jackson left for the locker room after appearing to take an elbow to the face from an opposing player. Jay Huff and Zach Edey will likely shoulder the workload at center the rest of the way if Jackson is unable to return.
Mar 22, 2025
Strikes for team-high 23 in loss
Jackson amassed 23 points (9-24 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 2-4 FT), two rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 35 minutes during Friday's 128-108 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
The 25-year-old forward led the Grizzlies in scoring as begins to regain his form. It's only the second time in five games since returning from an ankle injury that Jackson has topped 20 points, and over that span he's averaging 18.6 points, 3.8 boards, 1.8 steals, 1.8 threes, 1.4 assists and 1.0 blocks.
Mar 16, 2025
Efficient on offense Saturday
Jackson recorded 31 points (13-18 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, one assist and two blocks over 33 minutes during Saturday's 125-91 victory over the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Jackson had to deal with Bam Adebayo on both ends of the court, but he looked impressive and delivered an excellent performance. This was his 12th performance with at least 30 points this season, and Jackson took advantage of the absence of Ja Morant (shoulder) to play a more prominent role on offense. Even if Morant returns against the Kings on Monday, Jackson should continue to operate as one of the team's go-to threats on offense.
Mar 15, 2025
Scores 13 points in loss
Jackson provided 13 points (4-10 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, two blocks and four steals over 28 minutes during Friday's 133-124 loss to the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson returned to the hardwood following a five-game absence, and the big man looked a bit rusty on offense. He did leave his mark on the defensive end, though, tallying a combined six steals-plus-blocks, but the Grizzlies need more from him on offense, especially when one of Ja Morant or Desmond Bane isn't at his best. Jackson should continue to have opportunities to produce as long as he remains in the starting lineup, which will be the case as long as he's healthy while forming an imposing frontcourt duo alongside Zach Edey.
Mar 14, 2025
Cleared to return Friday
Jackson (ankle) is available for Friday's game against the Cavaliers, Drew Hill of The Daily Memphian reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson missed the Grizzlies' last five games due to a left ankle sprain, but he has progressed enough in his recovery to return to action Friday. His return will likely result in GG Jackson shifting to a reserve role.
Mar 13, 2025
Questionable to play Friday
Jackson (ankle) is questionable to play Friday against the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has missed the last five games due to his ankle injury, and may potentially miss a sixth if he is ruled out. Since Santi Aldama (calf) is also sidelined, expect GG Jackson to remain in the starting lineup if Jackson can't play Friday.
Mar 7, 2025
Present at shootaround Friday
Jackson (ankle), who has already been ruled out for Friday's game against Dallas, was on the floor for Friday's morning shootaround, Chris Herrington of The Daily Memphian reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson's return to shootaround is a positive sign while he deals with a Grade 2 left ankle sprain. While there is no clear timetable for the 25-year-old's return, he can be considered week-to-week until the club provides another update. Jackson was in the midst of a career-best year, and over his last 10 outings before getting injured during Monday's loss to the Hawks, he had averaged 22.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.9 blocks and 1.1 steals across 30.7 minutes per contest.
Mar 4, 2025
Diagnosed with Grade 2 ankle sprain
Jackson is considered week-to-week after being diagnosed with a Grade 2 left ankle sprain Tuesday, Mark Medina of TheSportingTribune.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson looked to be in considerable pain after spraining his left ankle during the Grizzlies' 132-130 loss to the Hawks on Monday, and the injury is severe enough for him to be sidelined for multiple games. Santi Aldama (calf), Brandon Clarke, Jay Huff and GG Jackson all stand to see their minutes and roles increase due to the absence of Jackson.
Mar 3, 2025
Doesn't return vs. Atlanta
Jackson (ankle) didn't return during Monday's 132-130 loss to the Hawks. He recorded no counting stats across two minutes before exiting to the locker room.
ANALYSIS
Jackson sustained the left ankle injury while attempting to contest a shot at the basket, and he appeared to be in a considerable amount of pain while limping back to the locker room. The star big man's status will be something to monitor ahead of Wednesday's game against the Thunder, and the Grizzlies will likely provide further details on the injury after further evaluation of Jackson's ankle.
Mar 3, 2025
Doubtful to return vs. Atlanta
Jackson is doubtful to return during Monday's matchup against the Hawks due to a left ankle injury.
ANALYSIS
Jackson recorded no counting stats across two minutes before heading to the locker room. The big man went to contest a shot, but he landed on an opposing player's foot and appeared to be in a considerable amount of pain while limping back to the locker room. If Jackson remains on the sideline, Brandon Clarke and GG Jackson should see an uptick in playing time the rest of the way.
Mar 3, 2025
Leaves for locker room Monday
Jackson sustained an apparent ankle injury in the first quarter of Monday's game against the Hawks and limped to the locker room, Drew Hill of The Daily Memphian reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson went to contest a shot and landed on another player's foot before limping back to the locker room. The big man struggled to get off the court, and if he remains sidelined for the remainder of the game, Brandon Clarke, GG Jackson and Jay Huff are candidates for a bump in minutes.
Mar 2, 2025
Scores season-high 42 points
Jackson had 42 points (15-25 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 7-8 FT), four rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two steals in 35 minutes during Saturday's 130-128 loss to the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Jackson embraced a bigger role on offense due to the absence of Ja Morant (shoulder) and Desmond Bane (hip), and he responded by posting a new season-high mark in scoring. This was the 11th time Jackson scored at least 30 points this season, and the big man continues to enjoy a career-best season in several metrics. He's averaging 23.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game across 58 starts.
Feb 23, 2025
Team-high 22 points in loss
Jackson registered 22 points (9-18 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 3-6 FT), three rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals across 25 minutes during Sunday's 129-123 loss to the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson led the Grizzlies with 22 points to go with a full stat line. Across his last nine contests, the star big man has averaged 22.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.9 blocks, 1.0 steals and 2.0 three-pointers in 30.1 minutes. Jackson was charged with five fouls Sunday and picked up his fourth early in the third quarter, which was a big reason why he was limited to just 25 minutes.
Feb 16, 2025
Gets starting nod in All-Star Game
Jackson will start for Kenny's Young Stars against Chuck's Global Stars in the first round of the NBA All-Star Game Tournament, Tim Reynolds of Associated Press reports.
ANALYSIS
It's the second time Jackson has been named an All-Star. He's averaging 23.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.6 blocks and 1.3 steals over 29.8 minutes per game this season.

Posts 17 points in win
Jackson finished with 17 points (6-17 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 5-8 FT), six rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals over 34 minutes during Tuesday's 119-112 win over Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
Although Jackson had some shooting struggles in the win, he remained consistent as the centerpiece of Memphis' frontcourt in the win. Fantasy managers who depend on Jackson for production should monitor Santi Aldama and Brandon Clarke's recent results, as both players are beginning to eat into Jackson's prolific totals.

Quickly returns Sunday
Jackson returned for the start of the second quarter of Sunday's game against the Bucks, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was bleeding from his cheek bone after taking an inadvertent elbow from Ryan Rollins. Jackson briefly went to the locker room, but he is back on the floor for the second frame.

Exits game due to facial injury
Jackson (face) went to the locker room in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Bucks, Eric Nehm of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson took an inadvertent elbow to the face from Ryan Rollins, which caused the former to start bleeding from his cheek bone and resulted in him going back to the locker room. Jackson will likely be back on the floor at some point in the second quarter once he receives stitches.

Strong two-way showing
Jackson supplied 21 points (7-15 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 6-7 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one steal in 31 minutes during Thursday's 120-119 victory over Houston.
ANALYSIS
Jackson celebrated his All-Star nod with an excellent showing in this tight win over Houston. Even though he didn't fill the stat sheet as he's routinely done of late, he still found a way to extend his impressive scoring stretch. Jackson has reached the 20-point mark in each of his last six games, a span in which he's averaging 24.2 points per contest while shooting 55.8 percent from the floor.
Jan 26, 2025
Efficient in win over Utah
Jackson amassed 28 points (10-14 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 6-9 FT), three rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal in 30 minutes during Saturday's 125-103 win over the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
The Grizzlies cruised to an easy 22-point win over the Jazz on Saturday and Jackson played a prominent role, missing just four of his 14 shots from the floor despite dealing with an imposing frontcourt of Lauri Markkanen and Walker Kessler. Jackson has been nothing short of outstanding in recent weeks and is averaging 24.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.6 blocks and 1.3 steals per game over his last 10 outings while reaching the 20-point mark in each of the last four.
Jan 21, 2025
Records double-double Monday
Jackson supplied 24 points (9-17 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 6-7 FT), 10 rebounds, two blocks and one steal in 32 minutes during Monday's 108-106 win over Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Jackson continues establishing himself as one of the most consistent big men in the Western Conference. While he lacks the star power of other players in the position, there's no question he's having an excellent year. The numbers back him up, as Jackson is averaging 24.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.6 blocks and 1.4 steals per game across nine outings since the beginning of January.
Jan 14, 2025
Strong defensive showing Monday
Jackson recorded 17 points (6-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-6 FT), two rebounds, three assists, one block and three steals over 30 minutes during Monday's 120-118 loss to Houston.
ANALYSIS
The 25-year-old forward failed to score more than 20 points for the first time in January and tied his season low in rebounds, but Jackson still made a contribution with his defense. Over his last 10 games, he's averaging 26.2 points, 7.7 boards, 3.7 assists, 1.8 steals, 1.8 blocks and 1.7 threes.
Jan 12, 2025
Explodes for 33 points in win
Jackson recorded 33 points (13-24 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 5-7 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and one steal across 34 minutes during Saturday's 127-125 win over Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Even though Ja Morant will probably deserve most of the praise after hitting the game-winning shot in the final seconds of the fourth quarter, there's no question the Grizzlies wouldn't have secured the victory hadn't it been for Jackson's offensive contributions. He did more than just score, though, as Jackson also finished just two boards shy of a double-double. Jackson's value is coming from his offensive numbers of late, though. He's scored at least 20 points in each of his last six outings while surpassing the 30-point mark three times in that span.
Jan 10, 2025
Season-high six blocks vs. Houston
Jackson closed with 21 points (9-15 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT), eight rebounds, four assists, six blocks and two steals in 34 minutes during Thursday's 119-115 loss to the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was able to play through a sore left thigh Thursday and finished as the Grizzlies' second-leading scorer behind Ja Morant (27). Jackson was dominant on the defensive side of the floor, logging a season-high six blocks for the 11th time in his NBA career. Since and including Dec. 1, Jackson has averaged 23.1 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.7 blocks and 1.7 steals over 29.9 minutes per game.
Jan 9, 2025
Gets green light Thursday
Jackson (thigh) is available for Thursday's game against Houston.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was initially deemed questionable due to left thigh soreness, though he will give it a go Thursday. The big man hasn't missed a matchup since Oct. 25, and over his last 10 appearances, he has averaged 24.5 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.8assists, 1.4 steals and 1.3 blocks across 30.9 minutes per contest.
Jan 8, 2025
Uncertain to play Thursday
Jackson (thigh) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Jackson is dealing with thigh soreness that could keep him out of action Thursday, and it would be his first missed game since Oct. 25 if he sits out. With Santi Aldama (ankle) also uncertain to play, Jake LaRavia, Brandon Clarke and Jay Huff would be candidates to take Jackson's place in Memphis' starting lineup against the Rockets if the star big man can't play.
Jan 7, 2025
Stays hot Monday
Jackson exploded for 35 points (13-23 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 8-12 FT), 13 rebounds, five assists, three steals and a block in 34 minutes of play during Monday's 119-104 win over the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
With Ja Morant (shoulder), Desmond Bane (ankle), Marcus Smart (finger) and Santi Aldama (ankle) all ruled out, Jackson was given the keys to the offense Monday. Despite what's been a strong start to the season for him, the performance marked just his third double-double of the campaign thus far. He'll likely continue to get this kind of volume so long as the aforementioned players remain sidelined, Morant and Bane in particular.
Jan 4, 2025
Solid with 28-point effort
Jackson ended with 28 points (9-21 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 7-10 FT), six rebounds, five assists and one block across 34 minutes before fouling out of Friday's 138-133 loss to Sacramento.
ANALYSIS
The Grizzlies depend on Jackson to be a solid anchor for the team on both sides of the ball, and his contribution is essential while Ja Morant (shoulder) is absent. He combines effective interior play with an ability to stretch the floor via an accurate perimeter game. He's easily the most dependable player Memphis can provide during the injury scenario, and should be utilized heavily in all fantasy formats.
Jan 1, 2025
Racks up 38 points
Jackson racked up 38 points (12-23 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 10-17 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals in 38 minutes during Tuesday's 117-112 win over Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
Jackson finished one point shy of his season-best mark of 39 points. He had 19 points in the first quarter alone and the Suns had no answer for him. Jackson is having quite the season and is on pace to return second-round value in nine-category formats with averages of 22.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.5 steals, 1.7 blocks and 1.8 three-pointers.
Dec 30, 2024
Struggles from field Sunday
Jackson amassed 13 points (3-17 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 7-8 FT), five rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal in 25 minutes during Sunday's 130-106 loss to the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was one of five Grizzlies players who scored in double digits in this loss, but he had a woeful shooting performance after missing 14 of his 17 shots. Jackson has failed to reach the 20-point mark in two of his last five contests while shooting 38.8 percent from the floor in that span.
Dec 26, 2024
Double-double vs. Raptors
Jackson recorded 21 points (9-17 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 rebounds, six assists and three blocks over 32 minutes during Thursday's 155-126 victory over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Thursday's performance was Jackson's first double-double of the regular season, and the seventh-year forward co-led the Grizzlies in scoring with rookie Zach Edey. Jackson has scored at least 20 points in six of his last eight outings, and over that span he has averaged 21.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.6 blocks and 1.4 steals over 27.4 minutes per game.
Dec 20, 2024
Drops 17 against Warriors
Jackson logged 17 points (5-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 6-6 FT), six rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal in 20 minutes during Thursday's 144-93 win over Golden State.
ANALYSIS
The 25-year-old forward was his usual productive self on a night in which six different Grizzlies scored in double digits. Jackson has delivered at least 15 points in nine straight games, averaging 21.0 points, 6.2 boards, 1.9 threes, 1.8 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.7 blocks over that stretch while shooting 51.9 percent from the floor and 40.5 percent from beyond the arc.
Dec 16, 2024
Efficient in loss Sunday
Jackson accumulated 25 points (9-13 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal across 29 minutes during Sunday's 116-110 loss to the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was one of the best players for Memphis in this game, which isn't a small task considering he was matched up with the frontcourt of Rui Hachimura and Anthony Davis most of the time. Jackson has scored at least 20 points in each of his last four appearances, a span in which he's averaging 23.3 points and 6.3 rebounds per game while shooting 54.7 percent from the field.
Dec 14, 2024
Strong two-way showing Friday
Jackson closed Friday's 135-119 victory over the Nets with 20 points (7-17 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and five steals across 32 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has yet to record a double-double this season, but there's no question the big man has been playing at a high level on both ends of the court. He's stepped up when tasked to embrace a more significant role on offense and remains a disruptive presence on the defensive side of the ball as well. Jackson's uptick in his scoring numbers is noticeable, and it gives him a massive boost to his fantasy value. He's scored at least 20 points in three straight games and five of his previous seven appearances. He's averaging 20.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.3 assists per game since the beginning of December.
Dec 8, 2024
Sniffs double-double in win
Jackson amassed 27 points (11-19 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), nine rebounds, one assist, four blocks and three steals across 34 minutes during Saturday's 127-121 win over the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
While Jackson's rebound totals have fallen below expectations this season, he's been remarkably consistent as a scoring option for the Grizzlies. His increased presence at the perimeter has upped his shooting volume, and he's taken 20 shots or more in three games this season. His 19 attempts in Saturday's win marked his fourth-highest volume of the season.
Dec 1, 2024
Leads way with balanced performance
Jackson registered 25 points (8-14 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 6-6 FT), eight rebounds, three blocks and two steals over 29 minutes during Sunday's 136-121 win over Indiana.
ANALYSIS
Jackson did a little bit of everything for Memphis in a high-scoring victory, leading all players in scoring, rebounds, blocks and steals while coming up two boards shy of a double-double. Jackson tied a season high mark in rebounds while posting his seventh game with at least 25 points.
Nov 26, 2024
Stellar two-way performance in win
Jackson produced 21 points (8-12 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds, three blocks, one assist and one steal across 28 minutes during Monday's 123-98 victory over the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson delivered his third consecutive matchup with 20-plus points, and he has totaled 11 20-point games across 16 regular-season appearances. The big man also tied Brandon Clarke for the team high in blocks, and Jackson now has 10 outings with two or more blocks. The 25-year-old is on track for a career-best campaign, and he has averaged 22.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.8 blocks, 1.3 assists and 1.3 steals while shooting 53.1 percent from the field across 28.7 minutes per game.
Nov 23, 2024
Fills stat sheet Saturday
Jackson ended with 23 points (7-15 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 6-8 FT), four rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal across 26 minutes during Saturday's 142-131 win over Chicago.
ANALYSIS
Jackson continues to produce at a high level for Memphis, and he's adjusted well to being the team's most consistent scoring weapon. He had to find a way to embrace that role in the absence of Ja Morant (hip) and with Desmond Bane shaking off the rust from his previous injury, but Jackson has responded well to the challenge. He's scored at least 20 points in all but one of his last nine contests.
Nov 21, 2024
Continues scoring run
Jackson provided 25 points (8-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 7-7 FT), four rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal across 30 minutes during Wednesday's 117-111 victory over the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has emerged as a reliable scoring weapon for the Grizzlies in the absence of Ja Morant (hip), but the big man has performed better than initially expected. He's embraced being a go-to player on offense and has notched at least 20 points in seven of his last eight games. The former Michigan State standout is averaging 25.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game while shooting 50.4 percent from the floor in that span.
Nov 18, 2024
Leads Memphis in victory
Jackson contributed 20 points (7-16 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, two assists, three blocks and one steal across 31 minutes during Sunday's 105-90 win over Denver.
ANALYSIS
Jackson led the Grizzlies in scoring and is embracing his role as one of the team's go-to players on offense due to the absence of Ja Morant (hip). The big man has scored at least 20 points in six games in a row, averaging 26.7 points and shooting 51.4 percent from the field in that stretch. Those numbers should face a regression once Morant is fully healthy, but for now, Bane remains a solid contributor in all formats who's putting up above-average scoring numbers respective to his career figures.
Nov 16, 2024
Pours in 32 in Friday's loss
Jackson logged 32 points (11-20 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 10-11 FT), six rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal across 33 minutes during Friday's 123-118 loss to Golden State.
ANALYSIS
The 25-year-old forward has been the focal point of the Grizzlies' offense during the latest absence for Ja Morant (hip), and while Jackson failed to drain at least one three-pointer Friday for the first time in November, he made up for it with season-best volume from the free-throw line. Over the last four games without Morant on the court, Jackson is averaging 30.0 points, 6.5 boards, 2.5 threes, 1.8 steals, 1.3 assists and 1.0 blocks while shooting 51.3 percent from the floor.
Nov 14, 2024
29-point effort not enough in loss
Jackson ended Wednesday's 128-123 loss to the Lakers with 29 points (10-20 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 7-8 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals in 33 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has embraced a bigger role on offense with Ja Morant (hip) and Desmond Bane (oblique) sidelined, and he's putting up excellent numbers as one of the Grizzlies' go-to players. He's averaging 25.0 points per game in November while shooting 54 percent from the field, and he's also scored at least 20 points in each of his last five outings.
Nov 11, 2024
Scores 20 points Sunday
Jackson contributed 20 points (6-12 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 5-6 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and three steals across 24 minutes during Sunday's 134-89 victory over the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson led the Grizzlies in scoring Sunday and continues to deliver in a bigger-than-anticipated role on offense. The big man has been thriving of late, and although the bigger responsibility on offense is tied to the absence of players such as Ja Morant (hip), Marcus Smart (ankle) and Desmond Bane (oblique), Jackson is stepping up when called upon duty. He's averaging 24.2 points per game since the beginning of November, which is a marked upgrade over the 18.8 points per tilt he scored in four October appearances.
Nov 9, 2024
Explodes for 39 points Friday
Jackson ended with 39 points (14-28 FG, 5-12 3Pt, 6-7 FT), six rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 28 minutes during Friday's 128-104 win over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Jackson came close to matching his career-best scoring mark of 44 points, and the big man enjoyed the increased responsibility on offense. The Grizzlies are down several starters due to injuries, such as Ja Morant (hip), Marcus Smart (ankle) and Desmond Bane (oblique), so Jackson should enjoy a more significant role on offense in the coming games. That'll translate directly to his scoring figures and shooting percentages.
Nov 7, 2024
Strong two-way play Wednesday
Jackson closed Wednesday's 131-114 victory over the Lakers with 20 points (8-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds, one assist and three blocks in 32 minutes.
ANALYSIS
The Grizzlies have been decimated by injuries in the early stages of the 2024-25 season, but Jackson has been producing when healthy. He's scored in double digits in every game he's played so far while also putting up decent -- yet unspectacular -- numbers in the rebounding and blocking categories. Through six appearances, Jackson is averaging 19.6 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.4 blocks and 1.3 steals per contest.
Nov 3, 2024
Paces scoring effort
Jackson finished with 27 points (11-16 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds, two blocks and three steals in 31 minutes during Saturday's 124-107 victory over the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson led Memphis in scoring and enjoyed an efficient night, drilling 68.8 percent of his attempts from the field. He's looked sharp of late after a slow start to the 2024-25 season, putting up 27 or more points in two of his last three appearances. It was also a positive sign to see the 25-year-old produce at such a high level on the defensive end after lacking in that area through his first four games.
Oct 31, 2024
Outstanding in loss to Brooklyn
Jackson amassed 30 points (10-12 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 7-10 FT), four rebounds and three steals over 28 minutes during Wednesday's 119-106 loss to the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Jackson led the Grizzlies in scoring Wednesday, but his impressive -- and highly-efficient -- output wasn't enough to avoid the defeat against the rebuilding Nets. Jackson missed the first three games of the season but has been excellent since making his debut in the win over Magic on Oct. 26, averaging 20.7 points per game while shooting 60.5 percent from the field.
Oct 27, 2024
Makes 2024-25 debut Saturday
Jackson contributed 13 points (4-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 5-9 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one steal over 23 minutes during Saturday's 124-111 victory over Orlando.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was solid in his 2024-25 debut, though he did struggle from the charity stripe and failed to execute on two attempts from beyond the arc. The 25-year-old is still ramping up from a hamstring injury he sustained during training camp, and his minutes will likely be monitored with Santi Aldama and Jake LaRavia stepping up until Jackson is 100 percent.
Oct 26, 2024
Will be available Saturday
Jackson (hamstring) is available for Saturday's game against the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was tabbed as a game-time call, with a decision being made after shootaround, but in the end, the star big man will be available for the second half of this back-to-back set. Jackson missed the Grizzlies' first two games of the campaign, and it's unclear if he'll have any sort of minutes' restriction Saturday.
Oct 26, 2024
Questionable for Saturday
Jackson (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game versus the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Jackson is in danger of missing his third straight contest to begin the season Saturday while dealing with a left hamstring strain. However, Jackson being listed as questionable instead of doubtful is a good sign that he is nearing a return to action.
Oct 25, 2024
Absence streak continues
Jackson (hamstring) has been ruled out of Friday's game against the Rockets, Michael Wallace of the Grizzlies' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson sustained a hamstring strain during training camp and will miss his second consecutive regular-season matchup. However, coach Taylor Jenkins said the 25-year-old has progressed well in scrimmages and is on track to return for the club's first regular-season home game Saturday against the Magic, according to Wallace. With Jackson out, Santi Aldama is expected to start alongside Zach Edey in the frontcourt.
Oct 24, 2024
Doubtful for Friday
Jackson (hamstring) is doubtful for Friday's matchup versus the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has been dealing with a hamstring strain he sustained during training camp. While the 25-year-old was expected to be back by the opener, he is now in jeopardy of missing the club's first two regular-season games. If Jackson does not give it a go, Santi Aldama will likely pick up the start.
Oct 21, 2024
To miss Opening Night
Jackson (hamstring) will not play Wednesday against the Jazz for Opening Night, Michael Wallace of the Grizzlies' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
According to coach Taylor Jenkins, he wants Jackson to get a couple more days of conditioning work and some 5-on-5 scrimmaging before getting the green light. A return against Houston on Friday isn't out of the question, but it sounds like Saturday's home game versus Orlando is the more realistic return target. In the meantime, guys like Brandon Clarke, Zach Edey and Santi Aldama could have more opportunity in the frontcourt.
Oct 17, 2024
Won't play Friday
Jackson (hamstring) is out for Friday's preseason game versus the Heat, Drew Hill of The Daily Memphian reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has yet to suit up this preseason while dealing with a low-grade hamstring strain. However, Jackson is expected to suit up for Memphis' regular-season opener against the Jazz on Oct. 23.
Oct 16, 2024
Partial practice participant
Jackson (hamstring) practiced Wednesday, but he remains questionable for Friday's preseason finale versus Miami, Michael Wallace of the Grizzlies' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson continues to deal with a low-grade hamstring strain, and while he has yet to be fully cleared, the fact that he has a chance to suit up Friday bodes well for his future availability. A decision on Jackson's status for Friday's game "will be made after Thursday's workout," per coach Taylor Jenkins.
Oct 2, 2024
Dealing with low-grade strain
Jackson (hamstring) is dealing with a low-grade hamstring strain, although there is "no concern" that Jackson could miss Memphis' season opener on Oct. 23, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
ANALYSIS
Fears of Jackson dealing with a hamstring strain have been confirmed, but suffering the lowest level of severity bodes well for the 25-year-old. Coach Taylor Jenkins fully expects Jackson to be ready for Opening Night, while also noting that the Grizzlies will proceed cautiously with his activity throughout the remainder of training camp.
Oct 1, 2024
Dealing with hamstring tightness
Jackson experienced hamstring tightness during Tuesday's practice, Drew Hill of The Daily Memphian reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson will undergo imaging to determine the severity, but coach Taylor Jenkins said the team is "anticipating a strain." If that's the case, Jackson will likely miss the preseason and could be sidelined to start the 2024-25 campaign.
Apr 13, 2024
Confirmed out for Sunday
Jackson (quadriceps) won't play Sunday against the Nuggets, as expected.
ANALYSIS
Memphis' playoff hopes were over several weeks ago, so the Grizzlies essentially shut down most of their roster. Jackson ended up making 66 appearances this season, posting averages of 22.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.6 blocks, 1.2 steals and 1.8 three-pointers while shooting 44.4 percent from the field, 32.0 percent from beyond the arc and 80.8 percent from the line.
Apr 9, 2024
Unlikely to return in 2023-24
Coach Taylor Jenkins said Tuesday that there is a "good chance" Jackson (quadriceps) won't play again this season, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
ANALYSIS
With Memphis already being eliminated from the playoffs, it isn't surprising to see them shut down Jackson for the rest of the season with a right quadriceps injury. The 24-year-old big man will likely end the 2023-24 campaign averaging 22.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.6 blocks and 1.2 steals in 32.2 minutes across 66 appearances.
Apr 8, 2024
Won't play Tuesday
Jackson (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Jackson will miss a third straight game due to a lingering quad issue after suiting up for the previous nine matchups. Tuesday's game is the first half of a back-to-back set, so Jackson may return Wednesday. However, at this point, the Grizzlies may just shut down their regulars for the final week of the regular season.
Apr 6, 2024
Ruled out again
Jackson (quadriceps) has been ruled out of Saturday's matchup with the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
After suiting up for nine straight games, Jackson will miss his second straight due to right quadriceps tendinitis. In his absence, Brandon Clarke (Achilles), Trey Jemison and Lamar Stevens figure to all be available for increased run at center. The next opportunity for Jackson to suit up will come Tuesday against the Spurs.
Apr 4, 2024
Ruled out for Friday's game
Jackson has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Pistons due to right quadriceps tendinitis.
ANALYSIS
Jackson hasn't missed a game since mid-March, but he'll sit out Friday after totaling 75 points over his last two appearances. Brandon Clarke (Achilles) has also been ruled out, so Trey Jemison and Lamar Stevens could see increased run in the frontcourt Friday.
Apr 4, 2024
Extends hot streak Wednesday
Jackson finished Wednesday's 111-101 win over the Bucks with 35 points (14-26 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three rebounds, four assists, one block and three steals across 37 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was coming off a 40-point performance against the Pistons on Monday, and he kept the hot hand going with another high-scoring effort in Memphis' upset win Wednesday. Jackson is ending the season on a strong note and has scored at least 25 points in five of his last eight appearances.
Apr 2, 2024
Explodes for 40 points vs. Detroit
Jackson closed with 40 points (13-23 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 12-14 FT), seven rebounds, three assists, two blocks and three steals across 34 minutes during Monday's 110-108 win over Detroit.
ANALYSIS
It was a fantastic bounce-back performance from Jackson on Monday, with the sixth-year center coming off a four-point outing against the Magic on Saturday. It's the third time this season that Jackson has scored 40-plus points in game, as he's been the main offensive option with Ja Morant (shoulder) and Desmond Bane (back) out for much of the season. Since the All-Star break, Jackson is averaging 22.6 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.9 blocks and 1.9 steals over 33.1 minutes per game.
Mar 30, 2024
Struggles badly Saturday
Jackson contributed four points (1-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 26 minutes during Saturday's 118-88 loss to the Magic.
ANALYSIS
The Grizzlies struggled badly in this one, and it felt like the game was out of their reach by the time the first quarter ended. The play of some of the most experienced players, such as Jackson, didn't help, as the big man has one of his worst games of the campaign while dealing with Wendell Carter, who posted a double-double, on both ends of the court. Jackson is just too talented to struggle at this rate on a consistent basis, however, and he'll look to bounce back Monday against the Pistons, where he'll probably match up against another promising big in Jalen Duren.
Mar 23, 2024
Nears 30 points as leading scorer
Jackson closed with 28 points (11-22 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-6 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal in 36 minutes during Friday's 99-97 win over San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
Jackson led all Grizzlies players in scoring to go along with a pair of threes and a team-high pair of blocks in a balanced outing to pace Memphis in a narrow victory. Jackson, who scored 19 points in the second half including 12 points in the fourth quarter alone, has led the Grizzlies offensively as of late, surpassing the 25-point mark in three straight outings.
Mar 21, 2024
Strikes for 28 against Warriors
Jackson finished with 28 points (13-21 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one steal across 31 minutes during Wednesday's 137-116 loss to Golden State.
ANALYSIS
The 24-year-old center hit for at least 25 points for the fifth time in nine games since the All-Star break, although Jackson has also missed five contests during that period due to a nagging quadriceps injury. He's averaging 24.0 points, 6.1 boards, 3.0 assists, 1.8 threes, 1.8 blocks and 1.7 steals over that stretch, but the Grizzlies may continue to give him regular rest given that they are already eliminated from playoff contention.
Mar 17, 2024
Versatile effort in defeat
Jackson closed with 19 points (7-11 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, seven assists, one block and two steals over 36 minutes during Saturday's 118-112 loss to the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Jackson returned following a two-game absence but was impressive on both ends of the court, filling out the stat sheet and keeping his remarkable scoring run alive. Jackson has now scored at least 15 points in all but one of his appearances since the beginning of January while also doing it in 25 consecutive games. He's averaging 24.6 points per game while shooting 44 percent from the field in that 25-game stretch.
Mar 16, 2024
Good to go Saturday
Jackson (quadriceps) is available for Saturday's game against the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has missed five of the last eight games for Memphis due to tendinitis, though the Grizzlies have been extra cautious. There's no word of any restrictions ahead of tipoff. The Grizzlies will be getting Desmond Bane (ankle) back as well.
Mar 15, 2024
Considered questionable
Jackson (quadriceps) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Jackson continues to deal with right quadriceps tendinitis. He's missed five of the last eight games, but he's played well when available. Over his last 10 appearances, Jackson has averaged 24.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and 1.3 steals in 32.9 minutes per game.
Mar 13, 2024
Downgraded to out
Jackson (quadriceps) won't play in Wednesday's game against the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Jackson will miss his fifth game of the Grizzlies' last eight as he continues to battle right quadriceps tendinitis. With Santi Aldama (elbow) and Lamar Stevens (groin) also absent, Trey Jemison and Wenyen Gabriel should see plenty of work at the center spot. Jackson's next chance to play will come Saturday against the Thunder.
Mar 13, 2024
Unlikely to play Wednesday
Jackson (quadriceps) is doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Jackson continues to deal with a quadriceps injury and will likely be sidelined for the fifth time over Memphis' last eight games. In the middle of that stretch, Jackson appeared in three straight games, including a 30-point, 11-rebound, six-block effort versus Philadelphia on March 6. It's unclear if the talented big man suffered a setback or if the struggling Grizzlies are being cautious because they're out of the playoff chase.
Mar 11, 2024
Won't play Tuesday
Jackson has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Wizards due to right quad tendonitis.
ANALYSIS
Jackson missed three straight games due to a quad issue to start March, but he's appeared in three consecutive contests since then, including a 30-point, 11-rebound, six-block performance against the 76ers. However, he'll return to the sidelines for the front end of Memphis' back-to-back set, and he can be considered questionable for Wednesday's matchup versus the Hornets.
Mar 9, 2024
Solid, yet inefficient in loss
Jackson notched 21 points (8-19 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 5-8 FT), nine rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals over 35 minutes during Friday's 99-92 loss to the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Jackson contributed on both ends of the floor, salvaging what was an inefficient night from both the field and the charity stripe. The Grizzlies have been rolling with a different lineup on a nightly basis over the past month, meaning Jackson's availability is far from certain. As long as he is on the floor, he is obviously a must-roster player. However, if you could move off him for any top 50 asset, it would be a sensible move.
Mar 7, 2024
Carries Memphis to road win
Jackson closed with 30 points (10-25 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 8-10 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist and six blocks across 37 minutes during Wednesday's 115-109 victory over Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
After missing the prior three games due to quad tendinitis, Jackson returned to the lineup with a bang, leading all scorers on the night while producing his fifth double-double of the season and tying his season high in rejections. The 24-year-old forward has seen his usage increase substantially when he's been on the court due to all the Grizzlies' other injuries, and in 10 games since the beginning of February he's averaging 25.6 points, 5.5 boards, 2.8 assists, 2.6 threes, 1.7 blocks and 1.4 steals.
Mar 6, 2024
Cleared to play Wednesday
Jackson (quadriceps) is available for Wednesday's game against the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson will end a three-game absence Wednesday and faces a frontcourt without Joel Embiid (knee). Over his last seven appearances, Jackson has averaged 24.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.6 steals and 0.9 blocks in 32.7 minutes per game.
Mar 5, 2024
Listed questionable for Wednesday
Jackson (quadriceps) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has a chance to return Wednesday following a three-game absence due to right quad tendinitis, which also caused him to miss Memphis' final contest before the All-Star break. Between those two absences, Jackson appeared in three straight games, averaging 25.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.3 assists in 33.3 minutes during that stretch. If Jackson remains out Wednesday, Santi Aldama, Vince Williams and GG Jackson would be candidates for increased usage.
Mar 4, 2024
Downgraded to out
Jackson (quad) is inactive for Monday's game against Brooklyn, Rob Fischer of Bally Sports Southeast reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson will officially miss his third consecutive game due to right quad tendinitis. His next opportunity to take the court comes Wednesday versus Philadelphia. Vince Williams has averaged 14.9 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.9 assists in seven starts without Jackson this season, while Santi Aldama has averaged 11.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.0 assists across four such contests.
Mar 3, 2024
Doubtful for Monday
Jackson (quad) is doubtful to play Monday versus Brooklyn.
ANALYSIS
Jackson is trending towards missing his third consecutive game due to right quad tendinitis. Memphis was dismantled 111-86 by Brooklyn's bottom-10 ranked offense Monday even while Jackson logged 30 minutes. His absence would likely leave Santi Aldama and GG Jackson with the majority of power forward minutes.
Mar 2, 2024
Out again Saturday
Jackson (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson will miss both halves of Memphis' back-to-back set against the Trail Blazers after dropping 33 points, 13 rebounds and three steals during a Feb. 28 loss in Minnesota. Trey Jemison started in Jackson's absence Friday versus Portland and posted five points, six rebounds and an assist in 30 minutes. Jackson's next chance to suit up will come Monday in Brooklyn.
Feb 29, 2024
Won't play Friday
Jackson has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Trail Blazers due to right quad tendon soreness.
ANALYSIS
Jackson appeared in the Grizzlies' last three matchups, averaging 25.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.0 steals and 2.3 assists in 33.3 minutes per game. However, he'll be unavailable for the first half of a back-to-back set Friday. Lamar Stevens and Trey Jemison are candidates to see increased work against Portland.
Feb 29, 2024
Shines in loss to Minnesota
Jackson ended Wednesday's 110-101 loss to the Timberwolves with 33 points (11-23 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 8-10 FT), 13 rebounds, one assist, one block and three steals in 38 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has been forced to handle a more significant role on offense this season due to the extended absences of players such as Ja Morant (shoulder) and Desmond Bane (ankle), but he has been thriving in that role. This 33-point outing was the ninth time he reached the 30-point plateau in the current campaign, which represents a career-best mark for him, and he's averaging a robust points per game over his last 10 contests.
Feb 24, 2024
Posts big numbers in loss
Jackson provided 29 points (11-25 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 5-7 FT), four rebounds, five assists and four steals across 32 minutes during Friday's 101-95 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was unmistakably the Grizzlies' centerpiece on offense Friday, as no other player on the team attempted more than nine field goals or scored more than 11 points. The big man put forth a valiant effort to keep Memphis close, though his performance ultimately wasn't enough to fend off defeat. Jackson has now posted at least 20 points in nine of his past 10 contests, and he's averaging 25.5 points over that span.
Feb 23, 2024
Good to go Friday
Jackson (quadriceps) is good to go for Friday's game against the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
No surprise here, as Jackson was previously considered probable. He's had a strong February so far, posting averages of 24.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.5 blocks and 3.0 three-pointers.
Feb 22, 2024
Probable for Friday's matchup
Jackson (quadriceps) is probable for Friday's game against the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson missed the Grizzlies' final game before the All-Star break due to a quad issue, but he'll likely be able to return to action when the team resumes play Friday. Over his last four appearances, he's averaged 24.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 32.3 minutes per game.
Feb 15, 2024
Won't play Thursday
Jackson (quad) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Bucks, Jonah Dylan of Memphis News reports.
ANALYSIS
JJJ's minutes will be absorbed by GG Jackson, Santi Aldama, Ziaire Williams and Lamar Stevens, with Aldama likely being the safest fantasy target out of that group. Jackson will miss Memphis' final game heading into the All-Star break, but he should be good to go for their next game on February 23 versus the Clippers.
Feb 15, 2024
Likely out against Milwaukee
Jackson is listed as doubtful for Thursday's game versus the Bucks due to right quadriceps tendon soreness.
ANALYSIS
Jackson is expected to sit out the second leg of Memphis' back-to-back Thursday due to a quadriceps injury. If Trey Jemison remains in the G League, the Grizzlies will be left very short-handed at center against Milwaukee.
Feb 13, 2024
Top scorer in 20-point outing
Jackson posted 22 points (8-19 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 4-5 FT), six rebounds, three assists and one steal over 35 minutes during Monday's 96-87 loss to the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Jackson led all players in Monday's contest in scoring while hauling in a half-dozen rebounds with a trio of assists en route to ending as the lone player with 20 or more points. Jackson has surpassed the 20-point mark in 10 straight outings, adding five or more rebounds in five of those games.
Feb 11, 2024
Nears 30 points in balanced game
Jackson supplied 29 points (12-23 FG, 5-9 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal in 34 minutes during Saturday's 115-106 loss to the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Jackson did it all for Memphis in Saturday's defeat, leading all players in the game in scoring and threes made while ending one point shy of the 30-point mark to go along with a team-high pair of blocks. Jackson has connected on five or more threes in four games this season, scoring 29 or more points in each of those contests. He has tallied at least 29 points in nine games this season, his first such performance since scoring 30 points on Jan. 26 against Orlando.
Feb 9, 2024
Goes for 28 points in loss
Jackson amassed 28 points (11-22 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 2-5 FT), two rebounds, four assists and one block across 32 minutes before fouling out of Thursday's 118-110 loss to the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Jackson returned from a two-game absence Thursday and had another solid display, surpassing the 20-point mark for the sixth consecutive appearance. The star big man is averaging 24.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.6 blocks per game since the start of January.
Feb 8, 2024
Good to go Thursday
Jackson (hip) will be available for Thursday's game versus Chicago.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has the green light to return after two straight games on the sidelines. His injury was considered minor, and there's no word of any restrictions ahead of tipoff.
Feb 8, 2024
Expected to be available Thursday
Jackson (hip) will go through his usual pre-game routine and is expected to be available against the Bulls on Thursday, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has missed the last two games due to right hip soreness, and he will be a game-time call for the matchup against Chicago. All signs point to him being expected to play if he goes through his pre-game routine unscathed. Jackson has scored at least 20 points in each of his previous five appearances.
Feb 7, 2024
Questionable for Thursday
Jackson (hip) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has missed the past two games for Memphis, which has resulted in Trey Jemison moving into the starting lineup and more minutes falling to GG Jackson. It'll be more of the same if he's out again Thursday, but we'll have a better idea of his status based on his activity level at shootaround.
Feb 6, 2024
Officially ruled out
Jackson (hip) won't play in Tuesday's game versus the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Jackson will miss his second straight contest Tuesday after being downgraded from doubtful to out with right hip soreness. His next chance to suit up is Thursday's matchup with Chicago.
Feb 5, 2024
Unlikely to play Tuesday
Jackson (hip) is doubtful for Tuesday's game against the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was unavailable for Sunday's loss to the Celtics, and he'll likely be forced to miss a second consecutive game Tuesday. The Grizzlies have a lengthy injury report once again, so GG Jackson and Matthew Hurt could see additional playing time against New York.
Feb 3, 2024
Won't go vs. Celtics
Jackson has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Boston due to right hip soreness.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear as to when Jackson picked up the injury, but the Grizzlies will sit him down for Sunday's action. With Xavier Tillman (knee) tagged as doubtful, look for Santi Aldama, Trey Jemison and Matthew Hurt to shoulder most of the workload at center.
Feb 3, 2024
Carries offensive load in loss
Jackson accumulated 27 points (8-21 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 9-11 FT), five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two steals over 31 minutes during Friday's 121-101 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Jackson led Memphis in scoring in the contest, as no other player on the team logged more than 16 points. The talented forward didn't shoot well, however, and he's now converted fewer than half of his field-goal attempts in six straight contests. With Ja Morant (shoulder) playing only nine games this season, Jackson has been asked to take on a bigger offensive load, and he's consequently producing a career-best 22.1 points per contest, though his field-goal rate is currently about six percent lower than it was last year.
Feb 2, 2024
Strikes for 25 against Cavs
Jackson had 25 points (10-23 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, five assists, three blocks and one steal in 34 minutes during Thursday's 108-101 loss to the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
The 24-year-old forward continued a scoring surge that has seen him deliver 25 or more points in six of the last eight games. Jackson's averaging 25.8 points, 5.0 boards, 3.4 assists, 1.5 steals, 1.3 threes and 1.0 blocks over that stretch, and given the patchwork roster around him, his usage should remain sky high until the Grizzlies get significantly healthier.
Jan 28, 2024
Balanced outing as top scorer
Jackson racked up 25 points (7-17 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 11-12 FT), five rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals in 32 minutes during Sunday's 116-110 loss to the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson led all players in Sunday's contest in scoring and free throws made while adding a handful of rebounds and a team-best pair of steals in a well-rounded performance. Jackson has finished with 25 or more points in 15 games this season, including in five of his last six contests.
Jan 23, 2024
Career-high six steals Monday
Jackson supplied 27 points (12-22 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-3 FT), four rebounds, five assists, one block and six steals in 32 minutes during Monday's 108-100 victory over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
The 24-year-old forward continues to thrive as the lead dog for the injury-depleted Grizzlies, setting a new personal best in steals during Monday's win. Jackson has scored more than 20 points in seven of his last eight games, averaging 26.4 points, 5.9 boards, 3.0 assists, 2.8 threes, 1.6 steals and 1.5 blocks over that stretch, and with Ja Morant (shoulder), Desmond Bane (ankle), Marcus Smart (finger) and others all sidelined, his usage doesn't figure to shrink any time soon.
Jan 19, 2024
Strong from deep as top scorer
Jackson racked up 36 points (15-23 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-5 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one block in 27 minutes during Thursday's 118-103 loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Jackson led all players in Thursday's contest in scoring while connecting on a trio of threes and hauling in a trio of rebounds in a losing effort. Jackson has connected on three or more threes in 11 games this year, finishing with 35 or more points in four contests.
Jan 16, 2024
Poor shooting display Monday
Jackson amassed 18 points (4-20 FG, 3-14 3Pt, 7-8 FT), five rebounds, five assists, one block and four steals in 33 minutes during Monday's 116-107 victory over the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has been a reliable scoring weapon for the Grizzlies this season and is enjoying a career-best season on the offensive side of the ball, especially now that the Grizzlies are seriously depleted due to the absences of Ja Morant (shoulder), Marcus Smart (finger) and Desmond Bane (ankle), among others. However, the increased role on offense has also resulted in a decrease in his efficiency numbers, though the drop is not big enough to significantly impact his fantasy appeal. Jackson is averaging 22.0 points, 6.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 2.3 blocks and 1.5 assists per game in January, though he's only shooting 39.6 percent from the field.
Jan 15, 2024
Good to go Monday
Jackson (knee) has been upgraded to available for Monday's game against the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has missed two of the last three games due to injury, but he will suit up Monday night. He has also started every game he has played, so expect David Roddy to be moved back to the bench as a result of Jackson's return.
Jan 15, 2024
Expected to play Monday
Jackson (knee), who's listed as questionable, is expected to play Monday against the Warriors, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson should return to action after missing two of the last three games due to a knee injury. With Ja Morant (shoulder), Desmond Bane (ankle) and Marcus Smart (finger) sidelined, Jackson would presumably be Memphis' go-to offensive option against Golden State if he's indeed cleared to suit up.
Jan 14, 2024
Questionable for Monday
Jackson (knee) is questionable for Monday's game against the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has missed two of the last three games due to a knee injury but will be in the mix to return to action Monday. If he's sidelined again, Santi Aldama (knee), David Roddy and Vince Williams are candidates to see increased run.
Jan 13, 2024
Ruled out Saturday
Jackson (knee) will not play in Saturday's game against the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was carrying a doubtful tag prior to this update and will miss the second leg of this back-to-back set. With the Grizzlies very shorthanded, Xavier Tillman is looking at a significant workload, while David Roddy is expected to see some backup center minutes based on coach Taylor Jenkins' pregame comments.
Jan 13, 2024
Likely out Saturday
Jackson is listed as doubtful for Saturday's game versus the Knicks due to a right knee contusion.
ANALYSIS
Jackson continues to deal with a nagging knee injury and will likely sit out the second leg of Memphis' back-to-back Saturday. David Roddy, Vince Williams and Ziaire Williams are candidates to receive increased minutes if Jackson is officially ruled out.
Jan 13, 2024
Struggles with shot Friday
Jackson contributed 21 points (6-20 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 8-10 FT), six rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal over 30 minutes during Friday's 128-119 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson didn't have his best shooting performance, but the big man still posted a solid stat line across the board. Even though Jackson is not known for his scoring ability, he has been tasked with taking a bigger role in that department this season, and he hasn't disappointed. He's scored 20-plus in four games in a row while averaging 20.7 points per game over his last 10 contests.
Jan 11, 2024
Not on injury report
Jackson (knee) isn't on the injury report for Friday's game against the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson missed Tuesday's game against the Mavericks due to a right knee contusion but has been cleared to return following a minimal absence. Across his four appearances since the start of the calendar year, he's averaged 23.3 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 32.8 minutes per game.
Jan 9, 2024
Will not play Tuesday
Jackson (knee) will not play in Tuesday's game against the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was downgraded from questionable to doubtful prior to warmups, and now he's officially out along with Santi Aldama (knee). The Grizzlies will be thin up front, so Bismack Biyombo and Xavier Tillman could see significant workloads. There's also a possibility of smaller lineup combinations. Jackson's next chance to play will be Friday versus the Clippers.
Jan 9, 2024
Not expected to play
Drew Hill of The Daily MemphianJackson (knee) is trending towards not playing in Tuesday's game against Dallas, Drew Hill reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Taylor Jenkins was not optimistic about Jackson playing, and it sounds like the Grizzlies will be cautious. With Santi Aldama (knee) also doubtful, there could be a lot minutes available for Xavier Tillman and Bismack Biyombo.
Jan 8, 2024
Dealing with bruised knee
Jackson is questionable to play Tuesday against Dallas due to a right knee contusion.
ANALYSIS
Jackson logged a full workload in Sunday's loss to Phoenix, posting 28 points in 31 minutes, but he seemingly banged up his knee in the process. The 24-year-old has yet to miss a game this season, and it's all hands on deck as Memphis attempts to salvage the season, but Jackson will nonetheless enter Tuesday as questionable to suit up.
Jan 6, 2024
Pours in 31 points
Jackson chipped in 31 points (11-14 FG, 5-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), nine rebounds, one assist and three blocks across 30 minutes during Friday's 127-113 win over the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson came one rebound short of his third double-double of the season in the win. His double-double results are somewhat surprising, but Jackson's involvement as a scoring threat has increased this season, and although he's still heavily involved in the paint, he's ceded some rebound input. He's currently averaging 1.2 fewer boards per game compared to his 2022-23 average, but is enjoying the best scoring averages of his career, with 31.6 points per game over 35 contests.
Jan 4, 2024
Swats four shots Wednesday
Jackson posted 24 points (7-18 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 6-6 FT), four rebounds, four blocks and one steal in 37 minutes during Wednesday's 116-111 loss to Toronto.
ANALYSIS
Jackson had experienced a downgrade in his offensive numbers, something that was expected with the return of Ja Morant, but the big man made his presence felt in this one due to his stellar defensive ability. Jackson is averaging 19.1 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.6 blocks and 1.2 steals per game since Dec. 19, the date in which Morant made his regular-season debut.
Dec 24, 2023
Efficient in win over Atlanta
Jackson notched 20 points (8-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT) and two rebounds over 24 minutes during Saturday's 125-119 victory over the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Jackson barely missed a shot from the field, and while his defensive numbers have not been on par with what he's posted in recent years, there's no question he has taken a step forward offensively. Jackson has been on an absolute tear of late, scoring at least 20 points in nine of his last 10 appearances while averaging 26.5 points per contest in that span.
Dec 22, 2023
Top rebounder in near double-double
Jackson posted 21 points (8-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and one steal in 33 minutes during Thursday's 116-103 win over Indiana.
ANALYSIS
Jackson led all players in Thursday's contest in rebounds while finishing as one of three Grizzlies with 20 or more points and ending two boards short of a double-double. Jackson has tallied at least 20 points and eight rebounds in five contests this season.
Dec 20, 2023
Ups efficiency in Tuesday's win
Jackson tallied 24 points (6-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 11-15 FT), six rebounds and three blocks across 30 minutes in Tuesday's 115-113 win over the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Jackson had connected on just 36.7 percent of his field-goal attempts over Memphis' last two contests, but he turned in a more efficient performance Tuesday with star point guard Ja Morant back in the fold after completing his 25-game suspension to open the season. The veteran big man had been maintaining a usage rate north of 28 percent for the season heading into Tuesday, but Jackson's 26.6 percent rate against the Pelicans didn't represent too significant of a downturn. The Grizzlies should have enough touches to go around for Morant, Jackson and Desmond Bane for all players to deliver strong numbers, though Jackson's ceiling as a scorer may be a bit lower now that Morant is back in the picture.
Dec 16, 2023
Scores 22, blocks four shots
Jackson racked up 22 points (8-23 FG, 0-7 3Pt, 6-7 FT), three rebounds, two assists and four blocks across 33 minutes during Friday's 103-96 loss to the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
On the surface, Jackson's stat line was solid since he posted strong numbers on both ends of the court. However, his rebounding totals were quite low, as he lost the battle against Alperen Sengun and Jabari Smith time and time, and it's also worth noting he needed 23 shots to score 22 points. Jackson has been enjoying a bigger role of late and is averaging a robust 31.5 points per contest over his last six appearances.
Dec 14, 2023
Scores career-high 44 points
Jackson finished Wednesday's 117-104 loss to the Rockets with 44 points (15-24 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 11-13 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and four steals across 40 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was tasked with a more prominent role on offense without Ja Morant (suspension), Desmond Bane (illness) and Marcus Smart (foot) on the court, and the big man responded with the best scoring output of his career. He's going through the best offensive stretch of his career over his last five games, reaching the 35-point mark thrice in that span and coming off back-to-back outings with at least 40 points. That's not sustainable in the long run, but at least for the time being, Jackson has shown he can handle a more prominent role on offense if needed.
Dec 12, 2023
Carries Grizz with 41 points
Jackson provided 41 points (15-29 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two steals in 42 minutes during Monday's 120-113 loss to Dallas.
ANALYSIS
In a game during which only two Memphis players scored more than 10 points, the Grizzlies avoided being completely blown out due largely to Jackson's substantial contributions. He finished just two points shy of his career-best mark and shot particularly well from deep, draining a season-high six triples. Jackson is in the midst of his best offensive stretch of the season, scoring over 20 points in four straight games and averaging 30.8 points over that stretch.
Dec 9, 2023
Strong from three as leading scorer
Jackson tallied 21 points (7-14 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal over 29 minutes in Friday's 127-103 loss to Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Jackson led all Grizzlies in scoring and threes made while finishing perfect from the free throw line and as the lone Memphis player with 20 or more points in a losing effort. Jackson has played well as of late for the Grizzlies, averaging 27.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.7 blocks and 1.0 assists over 33.1 minutes in his last three contests.
Dec 6, 2023
Team-high four blocks in win
Jackson had 24 points (10-20 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-3 FT), four rebounds and four blocks across 35 minutes in Wednesday's 116-102 win over the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
While Desmond Bane erupted for a career-high 49 points in Wednesday's win, Jackson continued to dominate on the defensive end with four of the Grizzlies' eight blocks in the game. He also led the Grizzlies starters with a plus-14 point differential. Jackson registered at least two blocks in four of his last five appearances and has scored 20 or more points in three of his last four games.
Dec 3, 2023
Thrives on offense Saturday
Jackson totaled 37 points (13-21 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 9-10 FT), nine rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 35 minutes during Saturday's 116-109 loss to Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has made a name for himself in The Association as an elite rebounder and defensive presence, but he stood out as a scoring threat in this one. This 37-point output represented one of the best scoring performances of his entire career, and while he's not expected to carry the offense on a regular basis going forward, he has proven he can put up strong offensive numbers when called upon duty. Jackson is averaging 18.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.4 blocks per game over his last five contests.
Nov 30, 2023
Tallies six blocks in win
Jackson ended with 20 points (8-19 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, one assist, six blocks and one steal across 35 minutes during Wednesday's 105-91 victory over the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Jackson blocked a season-high six shots Wednesday, scoring at least 20 points for just the second time in the past five games. It's been a rough start to the season for Jackson who currently sits just inside the top 90 in standard leagues. He has blocked nine shots in the past two games, and managers will be hoping this is the start of him turning things around.
Nov 27, 2023
Active at both ends Sunday
Jackson closed with 18 points (4-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 8-10 FT), four rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one steal in 37 minutes during Sunday's 119-97 loss to Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Jackson struggled from the field, although his efficiency from the charity stripe salvaged his scoring figures. Fortunately for him, he had already contributed steadily in other categories to salvage his fantasy line. Jackson has struggled to handle a more significant role on offense this season, and while his scoring numbers are up from 18.6 points to 19.4 this season, his percentages have crashed and is currently shooting a career-worst 41.1 percent from the field.
Nov 25, 2023
Comes close to double-double
Jackson totaled 13 points (5-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and one steal across 29 minutes during Friday's 110-89 loss to Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has struggled this season, and while his scoring is up, his overall numbers have taken a hit compared to the 2022-23 campaign, particularly on the defensive end. Jackson has scored in double digits in each of his last four contests, but he hasn't posted a double-double nor he has recorded more than one block or one steal in any of those outings.
Nov 23, 2023
Mixed results in loss
Jackson finished Wednesday's 111-91 loss to the Rockets with 23 points (7-21 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 9-12 FT), seven rebounds, one block and one steal across 37 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Jackson didn't hit a three and struggled from the field but still scored at least 20 points for the second time over his past six appearances. He also recorded a tally in each defensive statistic for a third straight game, but the reigning Defensive Player of the Year hasn't been racking up blocks or steals at a prolific rate this season. Jackson averaged 3.0 blocks and 1.0 steals last season, but he's averaging just 1.6 blocks and 0.6 steals per game this year.
Nov 19, 2023
Goes for 27 points Saturday
Jackson finished with 27 points (7-20 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 11-12 FT), five rebounds, one block and one steal over 27 minutes during Saturday's 120-108 victory over the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Jackson struggled from the field, but he still posted a solid stat line across the board. The numbers in categories such as blocks and rebounds were not on the same levels as in previous games, but he struggled on the glass while dealing with a physical frontcourt of Zach Collins and Victor Wembanyama. Jackson is expected hold a prominent role when the Grizzlies take on the Celtics on Sunday.
Nov 15, 2023
Struggles from field
Jackson totaled eight points (3-16 FG, 2-6 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and one block in 22 minutes during Tuesday's 134-107 loss to the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
This was arguably Jackson's worst game of the season, but he's been struggling for a few games now. Over the last three games, Jackson is averaging 11.3 points on 29.5 percent shooting from the field. He'll look to bounce back on Saturday against the Spurs.
Nov 13, 2023
Quiet in win
Jackson posted 12 points (3-15 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT), four rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 29 minutes during Sunday's 105-101 victory over the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
The Grizzlies picked up their second win of the season to improve to 2-8 despite a dud from Jackson. He's been held in check for two straight games, but overall he's off to a strong start this campaign. In 10 games, Jackson is averaging 20.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.8 blocks and 1.6 three-pointers.
Nov 9, 2023
Goes for 28 points against Miami
Jackson racked up 28 points (9-18 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 8-10 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one block across 33 minutes during Wednesday's 108-102 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Jackson reached the 20-point mark for the fifth time in eight games this season, and he's benefiting from a more significant responsibility on offense with Ja Morant suspended. The big man has surpassed the 25-point mark in his last three outings, and while his defensive numbers have been up to par with previous seasons, he remains a reliable two-way threat in a struggling Grizzlies team.
Nov 6, 2023
Productive on scoreboard
Jackson racked up 27 points (11-18 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-6 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 37 minutes during Sunday's 112-100 win over the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson posted his first double-double of the season Friday against Portland, and although he fell just short of that mark Sunday, he was still the team's second-highest scorer in the win. He's topped 25 points in three of his last four appearances and has averaged 26.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 33.8 minutes per game during that time.
Nov 4, 2023
Explodes with double-double
Jackson closed Friday's 115-113 overtime loss to the Trail Blazers with 30 points (11-17 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 3-6 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one steal over 38 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Jackson hit the 30-point mark for the second time this season, but the Grizzlies were once again unable to get their first win. Jackson is carrying a heavy load alongside Desmond Bane while they await the return of Ja Morant (suspension), and his results have been a bit up-and-down to begin the year. Aside from the two 30-point showings, Jackson has recorded double-digit rebounds only once. He's had success in accumulating blocked shots, swatting 15 balls over six games.
Oct 31, 2023
Puts up 30 points in loss
Jackson supplied 30 points (10-20 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 7-9 FT), nine rebounds, four assists and two blocks across 34 minutes during Monday's 125-110 loss to the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Jackson enjoyed his best offensive game of the campaign, posting a season-best point total to tie for the team lead in scoring. The big man's three triples were also a campaign high, and he's now hit multiple three-pointers in each of his past three contests. Jackson has yet to post a double-digit rebound effort this season, but he's complementing his 18.8 points, 7.0 boards and 1.8 triples per contest with an elite 2.8 blocks per game, making him a valuable asset to roster in fantasy.
Oct 28, 2023
Top scorer for Memphis in loss
Jackson finished Friday's 108-104 loss to the Nuggets with 21 points (9-12 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, two assists and three blocks over 28 minutes.
ANALYSIS
He led the Grizzlies in scoring while also making his usual impressive impact on the defensive end. With Ja Morant (suspension) unavailable to begin the season and injuries hitting the frontcourt hard, Jackson should have a bigger role than ever at both ends of the court, and the 24-year-old could end up topping the career-best numbers he posted in 2022-23.
Oct 25, 2023
Five blocks in season opener
Jackson had eight points (2-9 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, five blocks and three assists over 36 minutes in Wednesday's 111-104 loss to the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
The reigning Defensive Player of the Year got off to a hot start in the first game of the 2023-24 season and had three blocks in the first half alone. That was about the only positive he had the night, however, as he struggled to get it going from the field while also turning the ball over three times and registering five personal fouls. Jackson has never been a strong rebounder despite his 6-foot-11 frame, but he'll need to contribute more on the glass with starting center Steven Adams (knee) ruled out for the year.
Oct 15, 2023
Back in starting lineup
Jackson (rest) will start Sunday's matchup against the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Jackson took the night off Thursday, but he's back in the starting lineup Sunday. However, the reigning Defensive Player of the Year will likely be limited to around 25 minutes as he continues to ramp up for the regular season.
Oct 12, 2023
Taking the night off
Jackson will be rested for Thursday's preseason game against Atlanta, Damichael Cole of Memphis News reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has already played in two preseason games, so this isn't a surprise. In those contests, Jackson averaged 17.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 4.0 blocks.
Oct 11, 2023
Strong play at both ends
Jackson posted 17 points (5-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), five rebounds, two assists and three blocks across 24 minutes in Tuesday's 108-102 preseason win over the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Jackson is one of the best interior presences in the league, and even though preseason stats should be taken with a grain of salt, he keeps showing he's an elite rim protector and capable scorer. With Ja Morant (suspension) out for the first 25 games of the season, Jackson should see an uptick in offensive touches, which might translate into a higher scoring average. He posted a career-best 18.6 points per game in 2022-23.
Oct 9, 2023
Stuffs stat sheet
Jackson scored 18 points (8-15 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT) while tacking on five rebounds, two assists, two steals and five blocks in 25 minutes of action during the Grizzlies' 127-122 overtime victory over the Pacers on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
In on-brand fashion, Jackson picked up four fouls in quick succession, but he certainly made his presence felt defensively. Last season, Jackson averaged 18.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game en route to winning the Defensive Player of the Year award in his age-23 campaign.
Oct 2, 2023
No longer dealing with illness
Jackson is no longer dealing with an illness heading into training camp, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson missed the third-place game at the World Cup with an illness, but he won't be limited to start camp. Jackson is expected to take on a lot of offensive usage with Ja Morant serving a 25-game suspension.
Sep 10, 2023
Dealing with illness
Jackson didn't play Sunday for Team USA during the FIBA World Cup third-place game against Canada due to an upper respiratory illness, Brian Windhorst of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Brandon Ingram missed the semifinal matchup versus Germany due to the same issue, and it appears he passed it to Jackson and Paolo Banchero, who were both sidelined Sunday. All three players should be good to go for their respective training camps in October, but it was certainly a disheartening way to end a disappointing tournament for Team USA.
Apr 26, 2023
Notches double-double in win
Jackson logged 18 points (5-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 6-6 FT), 10 rebounds, two blocks and one steal over 38 minutes during Wednesday's 116-99 victory over the Lakers in Game 5 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.
ANALYSIS
Jackson finished with a team-high-tying rebound total en route to tallying one of three double-doubles on the Grizzlies in the Game 5 victory. Jackson, who notched a perfect shooting mark from the free throw line, has surpassed the 15-point mark in three postseason games while finishing with a double-double in two straight contests.
Apr 23, 2023
Withers against Lakers defense
Jackson ended Saturday's 111-101 loss to the Lakers in Game 3 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals with 13 points (4-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds and two steals in 32 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Jackson finished with one of his worst totals in recent memory, as he was unable to get anything going to begin the game. Jackson failed to score in the first half, and although he contributed 11 points and three rebounds in the third quarter, the Defensive Player of the Year's final stat line was his worst since his nine-point, eight-rebound total against the Clippers at the end of March.
Apr 20, 2023
Scores 18, swats three shots
Jackson contributed 18 points (5-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 7-10 FT), nine rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one steal in 40 minutes during Wednesday's 103-93 victory over the Lakers in Game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.
ANALYSIS
Jackson had to leave the game at one point, but he logged heavy minutes and thrived on both ends of the court as the Grizzlies recovered their home-field advantage in the series. Jackson has been a key player for Memphis all season long, and he might be tasked to do a bt more on offense in case Ja Morant (hand) misses Game 3 on Saturday.
Apr 17, 2023
Named Defensive Player of the Year
Jackson has been named the 2023 NBA Defensive Player of the Year.
ANALYSIS
Jackson takes home his first DPOY trophy and it was well-earned. Despite only playing in 64 games, he ranked third in total blocks (191), first in blocks per game (3.0), and was the anchor of Memphis' No. 3 ranked defense this past season. JJJ also held his opponents to an NBA-low 46.9 percent shooting at the rim, and at 23 years old, he became the second-youngest player ever to win the award.
Apr 16, 2023
Scores game-high 31 points
Jackson had 31 points (13-21 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal across 37 minutes during Sunday's 128-112 loss to the Lakers in Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was the lone bright spot for the Grizzlies, who struggled to gain any momentum in Game 1 before getting blown out in crunch time. His game-high 31 points gives the Defensive Player of the Year candidate seven 30-plus-point outings this season.
Apr 15, 2023
Good to go for Game 1
Jackson (elbow) will play in Game 1 of the Western Conference First Round against the Lakers on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Jackson, along with the rest of the Grizzlies' starting unit, sat out the regular-season finale but has been cleared for the team's playoff opener. Prior to his one-game absence, Jackson had recorded more than 30 points in three of his previous four appearances.
Apr 9, 2023
Out Sunday
Jackson (elbow) will sit out Memphis' regular-season finale versus the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
With JJJ watching from the sidelines Sunday, along with the rest of Memphis' regular starters, the Grizzlies will go with a starting five featuring Ziaire Williams, John Konchar, Vince Williams, David Roddy and Kenneth Lofton. Jackson won't play in the regular-season finale, but it would be shocking if this minor elbow issue impacted his status for the playoffs.
Apr 8, 2023
Doubtful for season finale
Jackson (left elbow soreness) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Jackson is joined by Santi Aldama (elbow) on the injury report as doubtful for Sunday's game, both of whom could sit with the Grizzlies locked into the No. 2 seed. If that's the case, Xavier Tillman, David Roddy, Kenneth Lofton and Ziaire Williams could all see massive frontcourt roles.
Apr 8, 2023
Phenomenal season continues
Jackson ended with 36 points (12-18 FG, 5-6 3Pt, 7-8 FT), four rebounds, two assists, three blocks and one steal over 27 minutes during Friday's 137-114 victory over the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Jackson dominated an understrength Bucks team, topping 30 points for the third time in the past four games. He is basically a first-round player for the season, averaging 18.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.0 steals, 3.0 blocks and 1.6 three-pointers. Outside of assists, he is pretty much a positive contributor across every major category, making him a solid second-round target next season and beyond.
Apr 6, 2023
Drops season-high 40 points in loss
Jackson finished Wednesday's 138-131 overtime loss to the Pelicans with a season-high 40 points (13-28 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 11-12 FT) to go with nine rebounds, four blocks, three assists and one steal in 41 minutes.
ANALYSIS
With Ja Morant (hip) sitting out and most of the Grizzlies' other options in the frontcourt sidelined or exiting early with injuries, Jackson was forced to play more minutes and take on a larger portion of the offensive burden than usual. He took on a massive 36.5 percent usage rate in the contest, and thanks to a heavy volume of shot attempts and some efficient shooting at the free-throw line, Jackson finished just three points shy of matching a career-best scoring total. He complemented in the scoring with his typical elite blocks production to produce what might have been the best fantasy line of the night across all eight NBA games.
Apr 2, 2023
Heats up from three
Jackson totaled 31 points (11-20 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and one block across 30 minutes during Sunday's 128-107 loss to Chicago.
ANALYSIS
Jackson led Memphis with 31 points, his fourth outing of the season with at least 30. Plus he set a season high with five made triples. It was a nice bounce-back performance after the 23-year-old scored just nine points Friday without making a three. Jackson only swatted one shot though, as it was just the 13th time in 60 games that he has not blocked multiple shots.
Mar 30, 2023
Off injury report
Jackson (calf) is off the injury report for Friday's game against the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
A handful of Grizzlies players rested during Wednesday's loss to the Clippers -- Jackson among them. He'll be back Friday and is coming off eight consecutive double-digit scoring efforts, averaging 24.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.8 blocks, 1.3 assists and 1.1 steals during this stretch.
Mar 29, 2023
Officially ruled out
Jackson (calf) won't play in Wednesday's game versus the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has been downgraded from doubtful to out due to left calf soreness. Santi Aldama and David Roddy are candidates to see increased minutes in his absence. Jackson's next chance to suit up is Friday's rematch with the Clippers.
Mar 29, 2023
Unlikely to play Wednesday
Jackson (calf) is doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson will take a seat for the second half of a back-to-back set after totaling 16 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks in 26 minutes during Tuesday's win over the Magic. His absence is expected to be precautionary, so it's safe to expect Jackson back in action Friday during a rematch against the Clippers, though fantasy managers should still confirm that's the case when the initial injury report for that contest is released.
Mar 29, 2023
Productive despite foul trouble
Jackson supplied 16 points (7-11 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 0-1 FT), 10 rebounds and three blocks across 26 minutes before fouling out of Tuesday's 113-108 win over the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Jackson picked up a few early fouls, limiting him to just 26 minutes in the win. Despite the reduced minutes, he turned in another strong performance, continuing what has been a breakout season for arguably the best shot blocker in the NBA. Currently putting up borderline first-round value for the season, Jackson has certainly been a difference-maker across a range of formats. Sneaking a peek toward next season, managers are likely going to have to target him in the second round of a lot of drats.
Mar 23, 2023
Huge game in key win
Jackson produced 37 points (14-20 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 8-11 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal across 35 minutes during Wednesday's 130-125 win over the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Jackson's stepped up big time while Morant missed time due to suspension, and his play was vital to the Grizzlies' success over that nine game run. Over that stretch Jackson averaged 22.7 points per game, up from his season long average of 17.7. He didn't miss a beat with Morant's return to the court, scoring a season-high 37 points in Wednesday's win over Houston. The Rockets are a favorable matchup for Jackson, and he will face them again Friday.
Mar 21, 2023
Another big offensive effort
Jackson provided 28 points (10-16 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 7-10 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one block over 23 minutes during Monday's 112-108 victory over the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Jackson led Memphis with 28 points in the win, marking his fourth straight contest of 25 points or more. Over that stretch, he's averaging 28.0 points per game on 60.3 percent shooting from the field. Jackson's output was especially impressive Monday because he battled foul trouble and played just 23 minutes.
Mar 20, 2023
Available Monday
Jackson (calf) is available for Monday's contest against Dallas, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
ANALYSIS
After being viewed as uncertain due to calf soreness, Jackson will officially suit up for his 19th consecutive appearance. The All-Star forward has recorded three straight games with at least 25 points, averaging 28.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.0 blocks across that stretch.
Mar 19, 2023
Questionable Monday
Jackson is questionable for Monday's game against the Mavericks due to left calf soreness.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has been on a tear recently, averaging 28.0 points and 7.0 rebounds in 33.3 minutes per game over his last three appearances. If he's unavailable Monday, David Roddy and Santi Aldama would be candidates to see increased playing time.
Mar 19, 2023
Tallies 31 points and four blocks
Jackson logged 31 points (12-22 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 4-5 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and four blocks in 29 minutes during Saturday's 133-119 win over the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was dominant in the victory, tying his season-high scoring mark with a strong shooting effort from the field. The big man didn't compromise his defensive effort, swatting four shots for the second straight night. Jackson has been on a roll over his past three games, averaging 28.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.0 blocks and 1.0 steals over 33.3 minutes per contest.
Mar 18, 2023
Contributes at both ends
Jackson accumulated 28 points (12-20 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-7 FT), five rebounds, one assist, four blocks and one steal in 43 minutes during Friday's 126-120 overtime win over the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was efficient from the field and active on the defensive end, as he posted his 23rd game with at least four swats. One of the best shot blockers in the league, Jackson is averaging a career-best 3.1 swats per game, but he's also scoring 17.2 points and grabbing 6.6 rebounds per game, meaning he's more than just a rim protector.
Mar 16, 2023
Misses out on double-double
Jackson finished Wednesday's 138-119 loss to the Heat with 25 points (10-15 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-3 FT), nine rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals in 28 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was one of Memphis' few bright spots in their blowout loss to Miami. He connected on at least four three-pointers for the first time since Feb. 15. Jackson continues to put up elite defensive numbers, as he leads the league in blocks per game at 3.1.
Mar 14, 2023
Rough night despite win
Jackson had seven points (2-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and one steal across 24 minutes during Monday's 104-88 win over the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Jackson battled foul trouble throughout the game, ending with one of his worst performances of the season. Up against a Mavericks team without its superstars, the Grizzlies were never really troubled despite Jackson playing well below par. This was a real downer for anyone starting off a playoff week, especially given Jackson failed to record a block for the first time in over a month.
Mar 8, 2023
Carries the load in loss
Jackson totaled 26 points (8-15 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 8-11 FT), eight rebounds, two blocks and one steal across 31 minutes during Tuesday's 112-103 loss to the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson led the team in scoring by a wide margin. The frontcourt is doing a lot of the heavy lifting with Ja Morant (suspension) out. Jackson and Xavier Tillman should get increased consideration while Morant's absence continues.
Mar 6, 2023
Posts 24 points in loss
Jackson finished Sunday's 135-129 loss to the Clippers with 24 points (8-18 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 6-7 FT), five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two steals in 35 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Jackson shared the rebounding duties with Xavier Tillman amid Steven Adams' (knee) continued absence, and had a fairly efficient shooting night that included two three-pointers. He also converted six of seven three-throw attempts, lifting his season percentage to 78.9 percent.
Mar 1, 2023
Racks up four more blocks
Jackson produced 16 points (7-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, four blocks and one steal in 32 minutes during Tuesday's 121-109 victory over the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson continues to be a dominating presence down low, as he has recorded exactly four blocks in three of his past four contests. Over the month of February, he swatted at least four shots in seven of his nine contests and averaged a hearty 3.6 swats per game. He's also been impactful in other ways, scoring at least 15 points in all but one of those outings and averaging 6.6 boards during the month.
Feb 24, 2023
Packs stat sheet
Jackson posted 18 points (5-16 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 7-7 FT), nine rebounds, one assist, four blocks and one steal across 33 minutes during Thursday's 110-105 loss to the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson fell one rebound shy of a double-double and swatted away four shots for his second straight game. The Michigan State product has added serious value across the board in February for fantasy managers, averaging 19.1 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 3.9 blocks through seven appearances.
Feb 15, 2023
Dominates defensively in win
Jackson posted 26 points (8-19 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 6-7 FT), nine rebounds, four blocks and five steals over 31 minutes during Wednesday's 117-111 win over the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Jackson made a strong case for Defensive Player of the Year, with five steals and four blocks. The first-time All Star also led the Grizzlies with 26 points, as he produced one of his best games of the season. It was a big bounce back for Jackson after he fouled out without blocking a shot against the Celtics on Sunday. If Jackson can combine his elite shot blocking with more good offensive games, he will help fantasy managers fighting for playoff seeding.
Feb 8, 2023
Continues to rack up blocks
Jackson finished Tuesday's 104-89 win over the Bulls with 24 points (9-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-5 FT), five blocks, three rebounds, two steals and one assist in 32 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Jackson remained an imposing force near the rim in the Grizzlies' resounding win and now has a whopping 20 blocks over his past four games to bring his season-long average up to 3.3 per game. Despite missing the Grizzlies' first 14 games of the season while recovering from right foot surgery, Jackson has already tallied 123 blocks on the campaign, leaving him just nine behind the Nets' Nic Claxton for the NBA lead.
Feb 6, 2023
Solid two-way effort again
Jackson racked up 18 points (7-17 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 4-7 FT), eight rebounds and four blocks over 32 minutes during Sunday's 106-103 loss to Toronto.
ANALYSIS
Jackson needed 17 shots to score 18 points and missed all six of his three-point attempts, so he was far from efficient from the field, but he still salvaged his fantasy performance by putting up strong numbers as a rebounder and defensive presence. This was his fourth straight game with multiple swats, and the first-time All-Star is averaging 16.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per contest over his last 10 appearances.
Feb 5, 2023
Officially available Sunday
Jackson (thigh) is available for Sunday's game against the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Jackson dealt with a sore right thigh ahead of Sunday's matchup, but he was expected to play and will officially be able to suit up against Toronto. Santi Aldama should retreat to a bench role with Jackson back on the court.
Feb 5, 2023
Expected to play
Jackson Jr. (thigh) is expected to play Sunday against Toronto, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
ANALYSIS
JJJ was rested on the second leg of a back-to-back on Thursday, but he's fully expected to return to the floor for Sunday's game, which will shift Santi Aldama back to the second unit. Feel free to get Jackson Jr. active.
Feb 4, 2023
Questionable to face Toronto
Jackson has been listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Raptors due to right tight soreness.
ANALYSIS
Evan Barnes of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reported Jackson was moving well after practice Saturday, so it seems the questionable tag is a step in the right direction after the big man missed Thursday's contest against the Cavaliers. Jackson is averaging 19.2 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per game across his last five outings.
Feb 2, 2023
Won't suit up Thursday
Jackson (thigh) will not take the floor Thursday against the Cavaliers, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was labeled doubtful leading up to the contest, so it's not a surprise to see that the big man will indeed miss the tilt. Santi Aldama is set to replace him in the starting lineup Thursday, while Jackson will turn his sights toward Sunday against Toronto for his next opportunity to take the floor.
Feb 2, 2023
Unlikely to play Thursday
Jackson is doubtful for Thursday's game against the Cavaliers due to right thigh soreness.
ANALYSIS
Jackson hasn't missed a game since Dec. 5, but it appears likely that he'll be sidelined for the second half of a back-to-back set Thursday. Assuming he's unavailable, Santi Aldama, David Roddy and Ziaire Williams are candidates to see increased playing time.
Feb 1, 2023
Six rejections against Blazers
Jackson posted 18 points (9-14 FG, 0-3 3Pt), seven rebounds and six blocks in 34 minutes during Wednesday's 122-112 loss to the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
The fifth-year forward continues to terrorize the opposition on the defensive end. Jackson has recorded five or more blocks in five of 13 games since the beginning of January and produced multiple rejections in 11 of them, averaging 16.5 points, 7.3 boards, 3.5 blocks, 1.5 threes and 1.0 steals over that stretch.
Jan 29, 2023
Balanced outing on both ends in win
Jackson provided 28 points (12-19 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds, one assist, five blocks and one steal in 38 minutes during Sunday's 112-100 victory over Indiana.
ANALYSIS
Jackson led the team in scoring and blocks while finishing two rebounds shy of a double-double in Sunday's win. Jackson has tallied at least 20 points and five rebounds in eight games this season.
Jan 21, 2023
Stages another block party
Jackson finished with 12 points (3-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds, four blocks and one steal in 33 minutes in Friday's 122-121 loss to the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Despite getting off to a late start to his season while recovering from June surgery to address a right foot injury, Jackson is steadily climbing up the NBA leaderboard in blocks. With 97 on the season, Jackson currently ranks third behind Nic Claxton (115) and Brook Lopez (108), and Jackson's per-game average of 3.3 handily outpaces Claxton's mark (2.7) for the league lead. In addition to racking up the rejections with ease, Jackson is grabbing a career-high 6.8 boards per game, and his 50.9 percent mark from the field represents an increase of 9.4 percentage points from 2021-22.
Jan 17, 2023
Swats six shots Monday
Jackson notched 18 points (5-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 7-8 FT), eight rebounds, one assist, six blocks and two steals across 26 minutes during Monday's 136-106 victory over Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
Jackson is one of the best defensive big men in the league and showed it once again here. He's on a run of 14 straight games with two or more blocks, but he's also averaging 16.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per game in that span.
Jan 12, 2023
Double-doubles in win
Jackson provided 21 points (6-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 8-9 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist and two blocks over 27 minutes during Wednesday's 135-129 victory over the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was efficient from the field and active on the glass, and those two traits were enough to see him record his second double-double of his last four outings. The big man has been playing well of late, averaging 18.8 points on 56 percent shooting and adding 7.8 rebounds and 3.6 blocks per game across his last eight appearances.
Jan 9, 2023
Elite rim protection again Monday
Jackson supplied 16 points (5-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-6 FT), six rebounds, two assists and five blocks in 30 minutes during Monday's 121-113 win over the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Jackson blocked another five shots in the win, his sixth game in a row with at least three blocks. After missing the start of the season due to a knee injury, Jackson has been a revelation since returning, putting up first-round value on the season. The Grizzlies are primed for a deep playoff run this season, and securing a high seed is going to be key to their success. Outside of some sporadic rest, Jackson should be locked in for the remainder of the season, rewarding those who took a chance on him in their draft.
Jan 6, 2023
Grabs fourth double-double
Jackson registered 31 points (12-14 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 5-7 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist, three blocks and one steal across 32 minutes during Thursday's 123-115 win over Orlando.
ANALYSIS
Jackson had the hot hand all night, going 6-of-7 from the field in each half for a total of 31 points, including 5-of-5 in the fourth quarter. The Memphis power forward was the second-leading scorer in the game behind only Ja Morant and also recorded game highs with 10 rebounds and three blocks. It marked Jackson's fourth double-double of the season and his fourth consecutive game with at least three blocks.
Jan 5, 2023
Three more rejections Wednesday
Jackson ended with 17 points (6-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-5 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and three blocks across 24 minutes during Wednesday's 131-107 victory over the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
The fifth-year forward continued his defensive dominance, recording multiple blocks for the eighth straight game and the 11th time in the last 13 contests. Over that latter stretch, Jackson is averaging a massive 3.3 rejections a game along with 13.8 points, 5.9 boards, 1.3 assists, 1.3 threes and 1.1 steals while shooting 50.4 percent from the floor.
Dec 31, 2022
Likely to play Sunday
Jackson is expected to play Sunday against the Kings, Evan Barnes of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson logged 17 points (7-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, two assists, six blocks and three steals across 30 minutes during Saturday's 116-101 win over the Pelicans, and he has been looking good since missing the opening 14 contests of the season while rehabbing from a foot injury. If he ends up playing, then it'd be the first time Jackson plays on a back-to-back in quite a while.
Dec 28, 2022
Goes 2-for-12 from field Tuesday
Jackson finished Tuesday's 125-108 loss to Phoenix with six points (2-12 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, three blocks and two steals over 26 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Jackson came into the contest hitting 51.4 percent of his field-goal tries on the campaign, but that mark dropped to 49.2 percent after Tuesday's poor offensive showing. Of course, Jackson's value is about much more than offense, and his fantasy managers aren't likely to be entirely displeased given that the forward also pulled own eight rebounds, notched two steals and swatted three shots. He's now recorded multiple blocks in four straight games and is averaging an impressive 3.1 swats per contest on the campaign.
Dec 24, 2022
Drops double-double on Suns
Jackson had 24 points (9-17 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal over 28 minutes during Friday's 125-100 win over the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Jackson enjoyed one of his best offensive games of the season, tying for the team lead with 24 points and putting up his most shots in nine December contests. The talented forward added 10 boards to finish with his third double-double, and Jackson also swatted a pair of shots for his 11th multi-block performance this season. He missed Memphis' first 14 games of the campaign while recovering from last year's foot surgery, but since his return he's put up impressive numbers, averaging 16.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.7 three-pointers, 3.1 blocks and 1.0 steals across 15 contests.
Dec 21, 2022
Blocks five shots Tuesday
Jackson ended Tuesday's 105-91 loss to the Nuggets with eight points (3-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist, five blocks and three steals across 22 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was limited to just 22 minutes as a result of foul trouble but still managed to deliver managers a strong fantasy line. Since returning from injury, his offensive production has sputtered a bit, although his defensive contributions have been a real game-changer. The Grizzlies are going to need him to do more in terms of scoring should they hope to stay atop the Western Conference. Look for him to find some rhythm in the near future, starting with Friday's matchup against the Suns.
Dec 18, 2022
Shoots 10 free throws in loss
Jackson closed with 16 points (3-8 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 8-10 FT), eight rebounds and one assist across 28 minutes during Saturday's 115-109 loss to the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Jackson only attempted two shots in the first half, knocking down one of them for three while also hitting both of his free-throw attempts. He went just 2-of-6 from the field in the second half but still added another 11 points thanks to 6-of-8 shooting from the foul line. Jackson grabbed eight boards in the contest for just the fourth time this season, though his 37.5 percent shooting from the field marked his second-worst shooting performance of the 2022-2023 campaign.
Dec 12, 2022
Swats away eight shots
Jackson contributed 15 points (6-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and eight blocks in 24 minutes during Monday's 128-103 win over the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Jackson scored in double digits for his ninth straight game, but the real story was his eight blocks. He's now tied with Evan Mobley for most blocks in a contest this season, and he's racked up an eye-popping 17 blocks over his last three matchups. Jackson is now averaging 18.4 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.6 blocks in 11 appearances this year.
Dec 10, 2022
Defensively dominant again Friday
Jackson accumulated 20 points (8-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-4 FT), five rebounds, four blocks and two steals in 30 minutes during Friday's 114-103 victory over the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Jackson racked up another four blocks in the win, adding a pair of steals for good measure. Since returning from a knee injury, he has been simply outstanding, putting up top-15 value across standard leagues. He is logging career-high numbers in not only blocks but also points and rebounds. The fact he is still only playing 26.6 minutes per night means there is actually scope for him to increase his production moving forward. While that may or may not be the case, it does appear as though he could be in for a career-best year.
Dec 6, 2022
Off injury report
Jackson (foot) isn't listed on the injury report for Wednesday's game against the Thunder, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson will return to action Wednesday after missing Monday's game due to resting back-to-backs. Jackson should replace Santi Aldama in the starting five against the Thunder, as he has started in all eight of his games played this season.
Dec 5, 2022
Won't play Monday
Jackson (foot) won't play Monday against the Heat due to return from injury management.
ANALYSIS
Jackson scored 22 points in 30 minutes during the first half of Memphis' back-to-back set Sunday, but he'll take a seat Monday while managing his surgically repaired right foot. In his absence, Santi Aldama figures to enter the starting lineup.
Dec 3, 2022
Stays sizzling
Jackson closed Friday's 117-109 win over the 76ers with 22 points (7-12 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 6-7 FT), nine rebounds, four blocks and one steal across 26 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Another night, another signature two-way effort from Jackson. Jackson had 27 contests last season with 20-plus points -- hitting that scoring threshold in 34.6 percent of his games. He's boomed for 20-plus points in five of his first seven games since returning from foot surgery in 2022-23.
Nov 27, 2022
Strong effort despite zero blocks
Jackson amassed 21 points (8-19 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and one steal over 30 minutes during Sunday's 127-123 win over New York.
ANALYSIS
Jackson scored at least 20 points for the fourth consecutive game, continuing what has been a strong offensive start to the season. Unfortunately, he failed to record a block for the first time this season, although given he blocked a combined 16 shots in the four games prior, managers can certainly forgive this. Since returning from his knee injury, Jackson's minutes have continued to increase, culminating in his first 30-minute game of the season Sunday. Managers have to be thrilled with how he has looked thus far, with the draft day risk already paying dividends.
Nov 23, 2022
Looks to be in mid-season form
Jackson totaled 22 points (8-14 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-7 FT), three rebounds, one assist, five blocks and two steals across 27 minutes during Tuesday's 113-109 loss to the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Jackson received a night off Sunday after playing in his first two contests of the season, and he continues to show no signs of rust. He's scored 20-plus points in two of his first three games and has contributed on both ends of the court, racking up four steals and an eye-popping 13 blocks.
Nov 21, 2022
Not on injury report
Jackson (foot) isn't on the injury report for Tuesday's game against the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Jackson didn't play Sunday against the Nets due to right foot injury management, but he'll be able to return to the court two days later. Over his two appearances this year, he's averaged 16.0 points and 9.0 rebounds in 25.0 minutes per game.
Nov 19, 2022
Won't play Sunday
Jackson (right foot injury management) will miss Sunday's game versus the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Jackson is returning from a relatively severe foot issue, so the team is taking it easy with him, and the 23-year-old will get the day off Sunday. Santi Aldama seems the likely candidate to replace Jackson in Sunday's starting five, while he will rest up for a potential return to action Tuesday against the Kings.
Nov 18, 2022
Leads with double-double outing
Jackson closed Friday's 121-110 win over Oklahoma City with 25 points (7-16 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 8-11 FT), 12 rebounds, three blocks and two steals in 25 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Jackson posted his first double-double of the year in his second appearance for Memphis, leading the team in scoring and rebounding. Jackson set a new season high in both categories after making his season debut Tuesday against New Orleans.
Nov 16, 2022
Rusty in season debut
Jackson racked up seven points (3-14 FG, 0-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds and five blocks over 25 minutes during Tuesday's 113-102 loss to the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
A poor shooting night perhaps wasn't a surprise as the 23-year-old forward saw his first action of the season after recovering from foot surgery, but Jackson's defensive contributions helped soften the blow. His workload was encouraging, however, as he averaged 27.3 minutes a game over 78 contest in 2021-22. With Desmond Bane (toe) on the shelf, Memphis will need Jackson to shake off the rust on offense quickly.
Nov 15, 2022
Will start Tuesday
Jackson (foot) will take the floor and will start Tuesday versus the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Jackson indicated Tuesday that he was set for his season debut, and that will indeed be the case. He will presumably replace Santi Aldama in the starting five but could be on a minutes restriction, given the length of his absence.
Nov 14, 2022
Making season debut Tuesday
Jackson (foot) intends to make his season debut Tuesday versus the Pelicans, Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
If all goes well leading up to tipoff, Jackson will make his season debut in the nationally-televised contest against the Pelicans. It'll be the forward's first matchup since undergoing offseason foot surgery in late June. With the return of Jackson looming, Santi Aldama will presumably return to his normal role off the bench.
Nov 14, 2022
Questionable Tuesday
Jackson (foot) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Jackson hasn't yet played this year while recovering from offseason foot surgery, but he didn't have an injury designation higher than doubtful on any injury reports prior to Tuesday's matchup. He certainly seems to be trending in the right direction but will likely be eased into action once he's cleared to make his season debut.
Nov 13, 2022
Unavailable Sunday
Jackson (foot) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Washington.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was considered doubtful for Sunday's matchup, but he'll remain out as he continues to recover from offseason foot surgery. However, he returned to five-on-five action this week and seems to be trending in the right direction. His next chance to suit up will be Tuesday against the Pelicans, but he doesn't yet have a clear timetable to return.
Nov 12, 2022
Upgraded to doubtful
Jackson (foot) is doubtful for Sunday's game at Washington.
ANALYSIS
Jackson returned to five-on-five action earlier this week, suggesting he's nearing a return. Saturday's update hammers that home, with Jackson being upgraded from out to doubtful for the first time this season. From here on out, the Grizzlies will presumably take his status on a game-to-game basis, and fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised if he returns within the next week. He'll presumably be eased into action and may rest back-to-backs early on. The big man's return will probably mean fewer minutes for players like Santi Aldama, Brandon Clarke, Jake LaRavia and other frontcourt options. Last season, Jackson led the NBA in blocks per game (2.3) while also averaging 16.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 0.9 steals in 27.3 minutes.
Nov 9, 2022
Returns to 5-on-5 action
Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins said Jackson (foot) played in his first 5-on-5 drills this week and is making "baby steps", Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson continues to make progress in his return from offseason foot surgery. However, Jenkins' comment about baby steps does seem to indicate that Jackson isn't particularly close to returning.
Nov 4, 2022
Progressing well
Jackson has begun some 3-on-3 work and is in good condition, Drew Hill reports.
ANALYSIS
jackson has yet to take part in 5-on-5 drills, but is approaching that step in his recovery process. Although his timetable for return is still set to be the tail end of 2022, the fact that he is moving along on schedule is certainly encouraging.
Oct 17, 2022
Progressing well, still no 5-on-5
Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins said Monday that Jackson (foot) is progressing well, and the team hopes the talented big man returns to 5-on-5 drills in the next couple of weeks, Drew Hill of The Daily Memphian reports.
ANALYSIS
Jenkins continues to make progress while rehabbing from offseason foot surgery and has started doing occasional team reps, but he still isn't cleared for 5-on-5 work yet. This doesn't come as a surprise as the fifth-year forward is expected to return to game action sometime before the end of December. In his absence, Santi Aldama is expected to start at power forward, while Brandon Clarke and Ziaire Williams garner increased roles off the bench.
Sep 26, 2022
Remains on track during rehab
Grizzlies general manager Zach Kleiman said Monday that Jackson (foot) remains on track to return sometime between the initial 4-to-6 month timeline, Drew Hill of The Daily Memphian reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson underwent surgery to repair a stress fracture in his right foot at the end of June and remains on track to return sometime before the end of December. Last season, he posted 16.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.3 blocks and 1.1 assists across 27.3 minutes. In his absence, Brandon Clarke and Ziaire Williams are candidates for increased roles to start the season.
Jun 30, 2022
Out 4-6 months with foot fracture
Jackson underwent surgery Wednesday to repair a stress fracture in his right foot and is expected to be out for 4-to-6 months, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Injuries resulted in Jackson playing in just 126 games during his first three seasons. Last season he stayed healthy, playing in 78 games and averaging 16.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.3 blocks and 1.1 assists across 27.3 minutes. However, like clockwork, he's back on the shelf and won't return until November at the absolute earliest. While the 22-year-old is sidelined, Brandon Clarke and Ziaire Williams are strong candidates to step in at power forward, though it remains to be seen what Memphis does in free agency.
May 12, 2022
Leads balanced attack in Game 5 win
Jackson recorded 21 points (6-10 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT), eight rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal across 25 minutes during Wednesday's 134-95 win over Golden State.
ANALYSIS
The Grizzlies clearly weren't ready to see their season come to an end Wednesday, building a 52-point lead after three quarters despite the absence of Ja Morant (knee). Jackson was one of three Memphis players who tied for the team lead with 21 points, and the power forward nailed four three-pointers on six attempts. Jackson also swatted two shots in the game, marking the eighth time in 11 playoff contests that he has finished with multiple blocks. He'll likely need to put up another big performance if Memphis is to stave off elimination again in Game 6 on Friday.
May 10, 2022
Swats five shots in Game 4 loss
Jackson contributed 21 points (7-21 FG, 0-7 3Pt, 7-8 FT), five rebounds, five blocks and two steals in 34 minutes during Monday's 101-98 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was a force on the defensive end for the Grizzlies in the loss, racking up multiple blocks for the seventh time in 10 playoff contests. He also led Memphis with 21 points despite missing all seven of his three-point attempts and shooting just 7-for-21 from the field overall. Jackson will need to continue putting up big production if Memphis is to overcome its current 3-1 series deficit, especially if Ja Morant (knee) remains unable to play.
May 1, 2022
Erupts for 33 points, 10 boards
Jackson posted 33 points (10-18 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 7-9 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and one block in 31 minutes during Sunday's 117-116 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
One of the reasons Minnesota was able to hang around in Round 1 was Jackson's perpetual foul trouble. He picked up at least five fouls in five of the six games but was able to stay on the floor Sunday against Golden State's jumpshot-oriented attack. In 31 minutes of action, Jackson notched his second straight double-double (he had 18 points and 14 boards in Game 6 against Minnesota) and worked his way to the free-throw line nine times. The big man's six made threes tied his season high, which he originally set during Memphis' record-setting, 152-79 win over Oklahoma City back on Dec. 2.
Apr 20, 2022
Hits four triples
Jackson finished with 16 points (5-12 FG, 4-7 3PT, 2-4 FT), seven rebounds, one block and one steal in the 124-96 win over Minnesota on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Jackson recorded his second-highest three-point total of the season to help Memphis even the series. While his numbers haven't been off the charts, the fourth-year forward remains a defensive force for one of the league's best young teams.
Apr 10, 2022
Out Sunday
Jackson is out Sunday against the Celtics due to left thigh tightness.
ANALYSIS
Jackson, along with the majority of the Grizzlies' regulars, will be sidelined for the regular-season finale. In his absence, Kyle Anderson and Brandon Clarke (thigh) are candidates for increased roles.
Apr 6, 2022
Big game in OT loss
Jackson ended with 28 points (8-27 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 9-10 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, three blocks and one steal over 39 minutes during Tuesday's 121-115 overtime loss to the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Jackson set a new season high in minutes while falling one point short of matching his season best, which he set back in January against Milwaukee. While fantasy managers have been frustrated with Jackson's relatively low minutes load (27.4 MPG), he's remained one of the most valuable big men in the game, holding averages of 16.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 2.3 blocks and 1.7 threes per contest. Most importantly, Jackson has played in a career-high (by far) 76 games after battling significant injury issues in each of his first three NBA seasons.
Apr 4, 2022
Set to return Tuesday
Jackson (thigh) isn't on the injury report ahead of Tuesday's game against the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has missed two of his team's last three contests, but he'll be back in action Tuesday after a few days to rest. The former first-round pick out of Michigan State is averaging 15.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.0 steal and 2.6 blocks over his last seven contests.
Apr 1, 2022
Officially out Friday
Jackson (thigh) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was doubtful ahead of Friday's matchup, and he'll be unavailable for the second time in the last three games. Kyle Anderson and Brandon Clarke should see additional run against Phoenix.
Mar 31, 2022
Unlikely to play Friday
Jackson (thigh) is doubtful Friday against the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Jackson is one of four starters expected to be sidelined Friday. Extra frontcourt minutes should be available for Brandon Clarke, Xavier Tillman, Santi Aldama and Kyle Anderson.
Mar 30, 2022
Playing, starting Wednesday
Jackson (thigh) is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's matchup with the Spurs, Rob Fischer of Bally Sports Southeast reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson is set to retake the court following a one-game absence due to a sore right thigh. As a result, Kyle Anderson will shift to the bench. The 22-year-old is averaging 16.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 2.3 blocks across 27.3 minutes per game this season.
Mar 29, 2022
Questionable at San Antonio
Jackson (thigh) is listed as questionable Wednesday at San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
After missing Monday's blowout win over Golden State, Jackson remains on the injury report due to soreness in his right thigh. The injury doesn't look to be overly concerning, but the Grizzlies -- owners of the No. 2 seed in the West -- could exercise caution with the playoffs approaching.
Mar 28, 2022
Won't go Monday
Jackson (thigh) has been ruled out for Monday's game against Golden State.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was previously added to the injury report as questionable due to soreness in his right thigh, and the team has since announced that he won't go Monday evening. Expect Kyle Anderson and Ziaire Williams to see more opportunities in Jackson's absence.
Mar 27, 2022
Questionable Monday
Jackson is questionable for Monday's game against the Warriors due to right thigh soreness.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has missed just one game this year, but he's dealing with a thigh injury ahead of Monday's matchup. If he's unable to play against Golden State, Kyle Anderson and Brandon Clarke (hip) could see additional run.
Mar 24, 2022
Blocks four shots in win
Jackson closed with 13 points (4-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five rebounds, two assists and four blocks over 33 minutes during Wednesday's 132-120 win over the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Jackson struggled from the field but still scored in double figures for a seventh consecutive game and blocked at least four shots for the 14th time this season. Across 10 contests in March, the talented big man has averaged 15.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.6 blocks and 1.1 assists in 25.4 minutes per game.
Mar 20, 2022
Limited run, gaudy stats
Jackson finished Sunday's 122-98 win over Houston with 15 points (4-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one steal in 21 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Jackson racked up five fouls across just 21 minutes, but he still compiled a big stat line, recording multiple blocks for the fifth time in his past six games. Luckily for Jackson, Memphis controlled the game from the tip. He'll look to stay out of foul trouble Wednesday versus Brooklyn.
Mar 19, 2022
Decent all-around effort
Jackson amassed 15 points (5-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal over 24 minutes during Friday's 120-105 loss to the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was efficient from the floor while filling the stat sheet in a game where the entire Memphis offense struggled. He's lacked consistency at times this season but seems to be trending in the right direction of late, and he has scored in double digits in each of his last five appearances.
Mar 15, 2022
Dominates in blowout win
Jackson notched 19 points (8-16 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds, one assist, three blocks and two steals over 21 minutes during Tuesday's 135-102 victory over the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson did his damage quickly in the blowout win, putting on an impressive two-way performance against Indiana's soft frontcourt. Notably, the performance marked his 13th straight with at least one block, and he's scored at least 18 points in three of the past four games.
Mar 14, 2022
Scores 18 points in win
Jackson notched 18 points (5-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 6-6 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one block over 30 minutes during Sunday's 125-118 victory over Oklahoma City.
ANALYSIS
Jackson didn't have his best shooting performance, but he still delivered a solid stat line. It seems as if it would be fair to treat him as Memphis' second-best scoring weapon behind Ja Morant and Desmond Bane at the moment. He's averaging 13.6 points per game over his last 10 contests, though he's shooting 40.2 percent from the field and a meager 25 percent from three in that span.
Mar 9, 2022
Blocks three shots Tuesday
Jackson totaled 22 points (7-13 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 6-6 FT), three rebounds, three blocks and one steal across 24 minutes during Tuesday's 132-111 victory over the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Jackson turned things around after a poor showing in his previous performance, making the most of his time on the floor despite the blowout. Outside of a few subpar efforts, Jackson has been able to successfully rebuild his reputation after sitting out the majority of the 2020-21 season. With the Grizzlies pushing hard down the stretch, his production should be sustainable ROS.
Mar 3, 2022
Solid all-around production
Jackson ended Thursday's 120-107 loss to the Celtics with 20 points (9-18 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one block in 36 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Jackson had been held to just 14 total points over his last two games coming into Thursday's matchup, but he was able to bounce back in Boston, finishing second on the team in scoring. He also produced for fantasy managers on the glass, turning in his best rebounding total since Feb. 24 against Minnesota. It's also worth mentioning that the Michigan State product has now swatted at least one shot in seven consecutive contests.
Feb 25, 2022
Strong double-double
Jackson recorded 21 points (6-15 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 9-11 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist, three blocks and two steals over 32 minutes during Thursday's 119-114 loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Jackson put forth an average shooting night, but thrived inside, racking up five offensive rebounds and attempting a season-high 11 free throws. Jackson's physicality this season has yielded a career-high 4.6 free throws per contest, and he's connecting at an 80.3 percent clip. He ranks as a top-8 asset at the power forward position.
Feb 16, 2022
All-around performance in win
Jackson racked up 23 points (8-20 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 4-5 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 25 minutes during Tuesday's 121-109 victory over New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Jackson scored 20-plus points for the 22nd time this season and registered at least one block and one steal for the eighth time over his last nine games. During that stretch, the fourth-year big man has averaged 19.1 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.8 blocks, 1.4 assists and 1.1 steals in 28.6 minutes per game.
Feb 13, 2022
Another double-double
Jackson supplied 18 points (5-17 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 4-6 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal in 31 minutes before fouling out of Saturday's 125-118 win over Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has been operating as Memphis' third-best scoring option behind Ja Morant and Desmond Bane, but he's finding other ways to make an impact. The big man has three double-doubles over his last five appearances and continues to show consistency on offense, putting up 10 or more points in each of his last 13 contests.
Feb 9, 2022
Records double-double Tuesday
Jackson posted 26 points (8-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 9-9 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal over 26 minutes during Tuesday's 135-109 win over the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson surpassed the 20-point mark for the third game in a row, and he also has two double-doubles in that span. The big man is firmly entrenched as Memphis' second-best scoring option behind Ja Morant, but he has been thriving in that role and should continue being a valuable fantasy asset across all formats. He's averaging 17.9 points and 7.2 rebounds per game since the beginning of January.
Feb 6, 2022
Turns in 21 points
Jackson notched 21 points (8-19 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 3-5 FT), six rebounds, one block and one steal across 29 minutes during Saturday's 135-115 victory over the Magic.
ANALYSIS
During Saturday's blowout win, Ja Morant was the best producer in the paint, but Jackson chipped in with 21 points after posting a 26/10 double-double in his previous contest. Although he is averaging 16.7 points per game this season, Jackson has popped for huge scoring totals over the past few weeks, including a 29-point showing against the Bucks.
Feb 3, 2022
Phenomenal performance in win
Jackson chipped in 26 points (8-14 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 6-7 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal across 34 minutes during Wednesday's 120-108 victory over New York.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was efficient from the field en route to his eighth outing with at least 25 points and grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds, notching his first double-double since Jan. 11. The talented big man also blocked multiple shots for a fifth straight game. Over his last eight contests, Jackson has averaged 19.1 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.1 blocks and 1.1 assists in 31.0 minutes.
Jan 29, 2022
Well-rounded contributor in win
Jackson registered 18 points (8-11 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, three assists, six blocks and two steals in 30 minutes during Friday's 119-109 win over the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was highly efficient from the floor during Friday's victory, but he also generated production on both ends of the floor while blocking six shots for a second consecutive game. The 22-year-old has now scored in double figures in each of the last six games, and he's averaged 18.8 points, 6.2 rebounds and 4.2 blocks in 30.2 minutes per contest across that span.
Jan 27, 2022
Flirts with double-double
Jackson ended with 22 points (9-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-7 FT), nine rebounds and six blocks in 32 minutes during Wednesday's 118-110 win over the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Johnson recorded six blocks in the win, matching a season-high for the former Michigan State standout. Jackson also kept the ball rolling in the scoring column after posting a season-high 29 points in the previous game. The Grizzlies extended their win streak to seven games with Wednesday's victory, and excellent interior performances from Jackson are a crucial part of that effort.
Jan 20, 2022
Scores season-high 29 points
Jackson finished with 29 points (9-20 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 9-10 FT), nine rebounds, one assist and four blocks across 31 minutes during Wednesday's 126-114 loss to the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Jackson scored a season-high 29 points and fell just one rebound shy of his fourth double-double of the season. He also blocked multiple shots for the seventh time in his last eight games and is averaging 3.9 blocks per contest during that stretch. On the season, the talented big man is averaging 16.4 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.2 blocks and 1.0 steals in 27.5 minutes.
Jan 17, 2022
Swats five shots in win Monday
Jackson notched 14 points (6-11 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds and five blocks in 25 minutes during Monday's 119-106 win over the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Jackson played just 25 minutes in the victory, as the Grizzlies took control early over an undermanned Bulls team. His offensive production was a little subdued but he more than made up for it, racking up another five blocked shots. Over the past six games, Jackson is averaging an insane 4.2 blocks per game, scoring in double-digits in five of those games. The Grizzlies are rolling right now and Jackson is in the midst of a mini-breakout, much to the delight of his fantasy managers.
Jan 17, 2022
Returns to Monday's contest
Jackson (calf) has returned to Monday's contest against the Bulls, Drew Hill of The Daily Memphian reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson briefly went to the locker room after appearing to bang knees with the Bulls' Alfonzo McKinnie, but he quickly returned to the Grizzlies' bench after being diagnosed with a bruised calf. Not to long after that, the 6-foot-11 forward was back at the scores table. He's expected to garner his usual role for the rest of the contest.
Jan 17, 2022
Heads to locker room
Jackson left Monday's contest against the Bulls after appearing to bang knees with Alfonzo McKinnie, Drew Hill of The Daily Memphian reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson totaled five points, three rebounds and one block in eight minutes. Brandon Clarke would likely be the primary beneficiary if Jackson is unable to return to the contest.
Jan 14, 2022
Blocks five shots in win
Jackson accumulated 20 points (6-10 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 6-10 FT), five rebounds, one assist, five blocks and one steal in 33 minutes during Thursday's 116-108 win over the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Jackson scored at least 20 points for the fourth time in his last six games and is averaging 18.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 blocks and 1.5 steals in 28.3 minutes during those contests. The 6-foot-11 forward also blocked five-plus shots for the fourth time this season. Steven Adams has been sidelined for the past four games due to COVID-19 protocols and then an illness, so when he returns, it might diminish some of Jackson's shot blocking chances, but Adam's presence shouldn't affect Jackson's offensive production.
Jan 10, 2022
Racks up six blocks in win
Jackson contributed 21 points (7-14 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 6-7 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist, six blocks and one steal over 29 minutes during Sunday's 127-119 victory over Los Angeles.
ANALYSIS
Jackson needed only 29 minutes to put on a sterling fantasy performance, pairing just his second double-double of the season with his best shot-blocking performance of the campaign. Over the last two games alone -- both of which Steven Adams (COVID-19 protocols) missed -- Jackson has totaled 47 points, 20 rebounds, four assists, four steals and 11 blocks.
Jan 8, 2022
Monster two-way performance
Jackson had 26 points (7-17 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 10-10 FT), eight rebounds, three assists, five blocks and three steals over 29 minutes during Saturday's 123-108 victory over the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson helped carry the burden on both ends of the floor with Ja Morant (thigh) out and Dillon Brooks (ankle) suffering an injury midway through the contest. The performance was one of the best of Jackson's career. His statline -- 26 points, eight boards, three assists, five blocks and three steals -- has only been achieved 77 other times in NBA history, most recently by Anthony Davis.
Dec 31, 2021
Double-doubles with three blocks
Jackson totaled 12 points (5-17 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 11 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals in 31 minutes during Friday's 118-105 victory over San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
Despite the poor shooting which has been an ongoing issue, Jackson filled the boxscore Friday, delivering one of his best all-around performances of the season. All in all, it has been a successful campaign thus far for Jackson, with fantasy managers simply enjoying the fact he has been relatively healthy. While he does lack in a couple of areas typically linked to big men, his unique skillset is priceless when it comes to fantasy upside.
Dec 30, 2021
Displays shooting woes in win
Jackson ended Wednesday's 104-99 victory over the Lakers with 15 points (5-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-6 FT), four rebounds, one assist, one block and three steals across 33 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has scored at least 15 points in four of his last five appearances and has recorded double-digit scoring efforts in each of his last seven contests, but he hasn't been very efficient in that span. While the stat lines continue to look decent, Jackson has only made 36.3 percent of his shots and 22.6 percent of his three-point attempts during that aforementioned seven-game stretch.
Dec 28, 2021
Struggles with shot in win
Jackson produced 11 points (3-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, one assist and two blocks over 29 minutes during Monday's 114-113 victory over the Suns.
ANALYSIS
The Grizzlies pulled off a huge upset, but Jackson did not do his team any favors along the way. He only shot 27.2 percent from the floor and logged an uncharacteristically-low three rebounds in the narrow win.
Dec 24, 2021
Strong performance in loss
Jackson chipped in 20 points (6-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 7-9 FT), five rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 29 minutes during Thursday's 113-104 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Jackson posted his 10th 20-point performance while also chipping in across the board. His efficiency has increased significantly over the past 16 games, and he's averaging 18.8 points on 46.8 percent shooting during this span. Prior to Nov. 22, he was shooting just 38.0 percent.
Dec 14, 2021
Surpasses 20-point mark once again
Jackson (knee) recorded 22 points (8-17 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT), four rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal over 26 minutes during Monday's 126-91 win over the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson returned from a brief one-game absence and delivered a huge game, contributing across the board and clearing the 20-point mark once again. The power forward has notched at least 20 points in three straight games and in five of his last seven appearances.
Dec 13, 2021
Cleared from injury report
Jackson (knee) will be available Monday against the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
A minor knee issue kept Jackson out of Saturday's win over the Rockets, but he'll be back in action and starting at his usual power forward spot Monday with Memphis seeking its third straight victory. Jackson has been on a nice run of late, averaging 19.4 points (47.9% FG), 5.3 rebounds, 2.3 threes, 1.9 blocks and 0.9 steals over his last 12 appearances.
Dec 12, 2021
Questionable against Philadelphia
Jackson (knee) is questionable for Monday's game against the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was sidelined for the first time this season in Saturday's game against the Rockets. Although he continues to deal with left knee soreness, he has a chance to return Monday. Xavier Tillman and Killian Tillie would likely see increased playing time if Jackson is unable to play.
Dec 11, 2021
Ruled out vs. Rockets
Jackson (knee) won't play Saturday against the Rockets, Evan Barnes of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson will miss his first game of the season Saturday. He's played especially well over the past six games, with averages of 21.7 points on 51.7 percent shooting, 4.8 rebounds, 1.8 blocks, 1.2 steals and 1.0 assists. In his absence, with Brandon Clarke (knee) and Ziaire Williams (ankle) also out in the frontcourt, more minutes could be available for Xavier Tillman, Killian Tillie and Santi Aldama.
Dec 11, 2021
Unlikely to play Saturday
Jackson is doubtful for Saturday's game against the Rockets due to left knee soreness.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was a late addition to the injury report Saturday, and it appears as though he'll be held out against Houston. His likely absence should lead to more opportunities for Kyle Anderson, Santi Aldama and Xavier Tillman.
Dec 10, 2021
Impactful again in victory
Jackson produced 25 points (9-18 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five rebounds and three steals over 29 minutes during Thursday's 108-95 win over the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson led Memphis in scoring in the contest and set a season high with three steals. The 6-foot-11 forward posted his fourth game of 25-plus points in his past six contests -- a stretch during which he is averaging 21.7 points, 4.8 boards, 3.0 three-pointers and 1.8 swats. Jackson's well-rounded skill set has provided top-40 value in nine-category fantasy leagues.
Dec 8, 2021
Scores 26 but Grizz fall
Jackson racked up 26 points (9-19 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 6-8 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal across 34 minutes during Wednesday's 104-96 loss to the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was able to bounce back from a pair of subpar offensive efforts to post his sixth 20-point effort of the season. While his production can vary widely from night to night, it's been a solid start to the season for the Michigan State product, who appeared in just 11 games in 2020-21 while recovering from a torn meniscus. Through 25 contests, Jackson is yet to miss a single game.
Dec 6, 2021
Contributes 14 points in win
Jackson accumulated 14 points (6-16 FG, 2-7 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal over 33 minutes during Monday's 105-90 victory over the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Jackson finished with a relatively moderate outing during Monday's win, though the forward continued to contribute consistently on the offensive end of the floor. It was the Michigan State product's 11th straight outing in double digits, as Jackson is averaging 18.2 points across his past 11 games played.
Dec 1, 2021
Scores team-high 25
Jackson supplied 25 points (8-14 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds, five blocks and an assist during a 98-91 win over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
In a defensive battle, Jackson was a dominant force inside and a catalyst offensively. His five blocks marked a season high. Jackson also refound his stroke from beyond the arc after shooting 7-for-26 over his previous five contests. With Ja Morant (knee) lacking a timeline to return, Jackson is due for a continued uptick in production and can be regarded as a strong DFS play most nights.
Nov 29, 2021
Nears double-double in win
Jackson finished with 17 points (6-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-5 FT), nine rebounds and two blocks in 22 minutes during Sunday's 128-101 win over the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Jackson's nine rebounds in Sunday's win matched his highest total of the season, and he came within one board of a double-double against Sacramento. He's scored in double figures in each of his last seven appearances and has averaged 17.3 points and 5.9 rebounds in 26.1 minutes per game during that time.
Nov 27, 2021
Struggles from field in loss
Jackson chipped in 14 points (5-15 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, one block and one steal in 23 minutes during Friday's 132-100 loss to the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Jackson might have ended with 14 points in order to record his sixth straight game with 10 or more points, but he didn't have a good shooting performance. It's worth noting Jackson remains one of Memphis' main scoring threats, though, and he's averaging 15.8 points per game through 13 games this month.
Nov 23, 2021
Plays hero against Jazz
Jackson registered 26 points (9-19 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 4-5 FT), eight rebounds, two blocks and two steals across 34 minutes during Monday's 119-118 win over the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Jackson finished with his highest scoring total of the campaign and also contributed as a rebounder and defender. His impact was most strongly felt in the waning seconds of the fourth quarter, when Jackson won a jump ball against Rudy Gobert and proceeded to knock down the game-winning three-pointer on a dish from Ja Morant. The triple was the fourth of the game for Jackson, a mark he has surpassed only once this season
Nov 16, 2021
Turns in 18 points in blowout
Jackson produced 18 points (7-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots across 24 minutes in Monday's 136-102 win over the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Jackson is an excellent example of why Memphis is one of the most frustrating teams in fantasy. The Grizzlies employ a massive 15 -player rotation, and aside from Ja Morant, most of the team struggles to see more than 30 minutes on the floor. Now that Jackson is fully healthy, the Grizzlies should be running him for a full complement of minutes and realize his full potential, but he's only eclipsed 30 minutes on the court five times this season. Despite those limitations, he does a lot with what he's given and is a solid source of rebounds for the team.
Nov 11, 2021
Puts up 19 points in loss
Jackson mustered 19 points (8-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt), six rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal in 30 minutes during Wednesday's 118-108 loss to the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Jackson scoring in double digits shouldn't be anything impressive since he's done that in all but two games this season, but he surpassed the 15-point mark just for the third time in the campaign. He also grabbed at least six boards for the fourth straight contest and has been getting it done on both ends of the court of late, averaging 15.8 points and 7.0 rebounds through five November appearances.
Nov 8, 2021
Nears double-double Monday
Jackson amassed 14 points (6-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt), eight rebounds, three blocks and one steal during Monday's overtime win over Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has now managed at least 13 points and eight rebounds in four straight matchups. The former Michigan State star has scored in double digits in all but two games so far this season while grabbing 6.0 rebounds per game. Although coming close numerous times, Jackson hasn't posted a double-double yet. If he does, it'll be his first since the 2019-20 campaign, as Jackson failed to accomplish the feat across 18 games played last year.
Nov 6, 2021
Scores team-high 13 points
Jackson delivered 13 points (4-14 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks and a steal across 25 minutes in Friday's loss against the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
The fact that Jackson led the Grizzlies with 13 points suggests how poor Memphis looked on the offensive side of the ball. Jackson has scored in double digits in all but one of his nine appearances this season and has come two rebounds or fewer away from a double-double in three of his last five contests, so he's managed to stay productive while operating as the Grizzlies' second-best scoring option behind Ja Morant.
Nov 3, 2021
Leads team with 22 points
Jackson posted 22 points (7-14 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds, three blocks and two assists during Wednesday's 108-106 win over Denver.
ANALYSIS
Jackson recorded a new season high offensively across 30 minutes of action, as the forward also led the Grizzlies for the first time this year in what was a balanced scoring attack to defeat the Nuggets. Although Jackson is relatively off to a slow start on the offensive end, the 22-year-old is shooting better from three and at the charity stripe than last season. Actually, Jackson missed his first free-throw attempt during Wednesday's loss, as he was previously 18-of-18 to begin the 2021-22 campaign.
Oct 29, 2021
Excels in OT win
Jackson produced 15 points (5-16 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, an assist, a steal and a blocked shot across 32 minutes in Thursday's 104-101 OT win over the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
A key component to Jackson's success Thursday was Ja Morant's ability to send the ball his way, which resulted in some nifty, highlight-worthy exchanges. Although his career in Memphis has been plagued with injuries, the 22-year-old is poised to make a huge impact in his fourth year with the team. Steven Adams has arrived to take Jonas Valanciunas' place, and Jackson will be critical in providing much-needed frontcourt support.
Oct 24, 2021
Scores 21 points Saturday
Jackson tallied 21 points (6-11 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 6-6 FT), seven rebounds, one steal and one blocked shot over 31 minutes in Saturday's 120-114 victory over the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was Memphis' third-leading scorer in a balanced attack in which every starter posted at least 17 points. The fourth-year forward couldn't replicate the four blocks he produced in the season-opener, but he was much more efficient from the field and did manage to swat one shot. Jackson is producing 17.0 points and 6.5 boards through two contests following an injury-plagued 2020-2021 campaign.
Oct 18, 2021
Inks long-term deal with Memphis
Jackson and the Grizzlies agreed Monday on a four-year, $105 million contract extension, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Though durability concerns and a lack of consistent rebounding (career average of 4.7 boards in 26.9 minutes per game) are blemishes on his resume, Jackson has otherwise looked like one of the NBA's best young big men since entering the league as the No. 4 overall pick in 2018. Not only has the 22-year-old been a dynamic shot blocker (1.5 per game), but he's also been a potent inside-out threat, converting at a 37.4 percent clip from downtown on 4.5 attempts per contest. As the lavish extension illustrates, the Grizzlies view Jackson as a cornerstone piece in both the near- and long-term along with star point guard Ja Morant. Assuming better health prevails in 2021-22 after he was limited to just 68 games between the past two seasons, Jackson could make a legitimate push for his first All-Star Game appearance.
Oct 15, 2021
Caps preseason with 29 points
Jackson finished Friday's preseason game against the Bulls with 29 points (10-18 FG, 7-12 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds and two assists.
ANALYSIS
Starting up front alongside Steven Adams and Kyle Anderson, Jackson led the Grizzlies in points, field goal attempts and three-pointers in 29 minutes of action. A longer-than-expected recovery from a torn meniscus limited Jackson to just 11 appearances in 2020-21, but when healthy he's a proven scorer and shot-blocker who also hits three-pointers at an elite clip. Fantasy managers have to account for the injury concerns, but Jackson could easily be set for a breakout fourth NBA season.
Oct 12, 2021
Won't play Wednesday
Jackson (rest) won't play in Wednesday's preseason contest against the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson, along with the majority of the Grizzlies starters, will rest during Memphis' second-to-last preseason contest. His absence should allow Brandon Clarke and Xavier Tillman to see some increased playing time against the Pacers.
Oct 11, 2021
Flirts with double-double
Jackson finished with 20 points (7-14 FG, 3-6 3PT, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds, two steals, one assist and one block in 26 minutes during Monday's preseason game against Detroit.
ANALYSIS
Jackson turned in a solid all-around line, contributing on both ends of the court. He's been a force on the glass so far this preseason, coming down with seven or more boards in each of the three exhibitions. Jackson is averaging 11.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.0 assist over that stretch.
Oct 8, 2021
Will not play Saturday
Jackson is out for Saturday's preseason contest against the Hawks due to rest.
ANALYSIS
Jackson and other key players for the Grizzlies are getting Saturday's game off for rest. He'll presumably suit back up Monday against the Pistons.
Oct 5, 2021
Strong defensive effort Tuesday
Jackson provided seven points (3-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt), seven rebounds, four blocks, two assists and one steal in 33 minutes during Tuesday's preseason win over the Bucks. The game was suspended after the third quarter due to a fire alarm.
ANALYSIS
Jackson's usage and efficiency on offense was quite low, but he was dominant on the other end of the court. If he can stay healthy, Jackson could be on the verge of a breakout campaign.
Jun 1, 2021
Aggressive performance Monday
Jackson tallied 21 points (9-18 FG, 3-10 3Pt), six rebounds, one assist and one steal in 26 minutes during Monday's 120-113 loss to the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Jackson continues to look better with every game for the Grizzlies, turning in arguably his best performance since returning from a lengthy injury layoff. The lack of blocked shots is disappointing; however, he was second only to Ja Morant with 18 shot attempts, something he is going to need to do if we are to look ahead to next season. Now trailing 3-1 in the series, it would appear as though the Grizzlies' season is drawing to a close but you can rest assured they will be giving it their all on Wednesday when they look to extend things another game.
May 27, 2021
Plays 31 minutes in Game 2
Jackson had 16 points (3-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 9-11 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one block in Wednesday's Game 2 loss to Utah.
ANALYSIS
Jackson's production has been all over the map since he returned from a torn meniscus, but this was one of his better offensive showings, despite the fact that he attempted only six shots in 31 minutes. Jackson did most of his damage at the free throw line, where his nine makes marked his highest total in any game since Dec. 2 of 2019. Fantasy-wise, Jackson can be a tough player to figure out. He's proven capable of strong scoring, three-point shooting and shot-blocking numbers, but he's an extremely poor rebounder for his position, and he rarely hands out more than one or two assists.
May 24, 2021
Scores seven in 23 minutes
Jackson managed seven points (2-8 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, three steals and one block in 23 minutes during Sunday's 112-109 win over the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
The 21-year-old struggled from the field for the second game in a row, totaling just 17 points while shooting 21.4 percent from the field. Jackson salved his off-shooting night with three swipes and a block in Monday's upset win over Utah. The third-year forward will look to bounce back Wednesday on the road against the top-seeded Jazz.
May 17, 2021
Solid all-around effort
Jackson mustered 14 points (5-13 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, three steals, two assists and two blocks across 31 minutes in Sunday's loss against the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Jackson finished just three boards away from notching a double-double, but he still found a way to make a big impact across the board with multiple tallies in each of the five biggest statistical categories. The former Michigan State standout has ended the season as part of the starting lineup and that might be his role once the play-in tournament starts Tuesday.
May 15, 2021
Ready to go Sunday
Jackson (injury management) isn't listed on the injury report for Sunday's game against the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Memphis sat out most of its rotation Friday against the Kings, and all but Grayson Allen (abdomen) and Sean McDermott will be available Sunday. Jackson has started in his last three appearances and averaged 14.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.3 blocks, 1.7 assists and 1.3 steals in 24.3 minutes.
May 14, 2021
Won't play Friday
Jackson (injury management) is unavailable Friday against the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Jackson had 12 points (5-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 0-1 FT), six rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 20 minutes Thursday, but he won't play in the second half of the back-to-bac set. Memphis will be without all five starters plus Brandon Clark (thigh), so the reserves will run the show Friday.
May 12, 2021
Not on injury report
Jackson (injury management) is not on the injury report ahead of Thursday's contest against the Kings.
ANALYSIS
After sitting out Tuesday's game for rest, Jackson should be back in the lineup Thursday for the Grizzlies' third-to-final game of the regular season. Since returning from his meniscus tear, Jackson has averaged 14.7 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 23.0 minutes.
May 11, 2021
Won't play Tuesday
Jackson (injury management) will not play Tuesday against the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Jackson went for 12 points, seven boards and four blocks in Monday's win over New Orleans, but he will get the night off in the second half of a back-to-back. He may also only be available for one half of the team's upcoming back-to-back games Thursday and Friday.
May 11, 2021
Swats four shots in win
Jackson collected 12 points (4/8 FG, 1/5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), seven rebounds, four blocks, one assist and one steal in a 115-110 victory over the Pelicans on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Jackson had another superb defensive performance, as he recorded four-plus defensive stats for the third consecutive game. The forward has also scored in double figures in eight of his first nine games since making his season debut on April 21. Over that stretch, Jackson has averaged 14.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.6 blocks and 1.0 steals per game.
May 8, 2021
Scores game-high 20 points
Jackson tallied 20 points (7-17 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds, three steals, two assists and one block in 25 minutes during Saturday's 109-99 win over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
The 21-year-old made his first start of the season Saturday on his way to posting a solid all-around game. Jackson hasn't played above 25 minutes in all eight appearances since returning from a meniscus tear on April 21, but it's possible he sees an increased workload moving forward. The third-year center will look to make it two wins in a row for the ninth-seeded Grizzlies Monday at home against the Pelicans.
May 8, 2021
Making first start of season
Jackson will make his first start of the season Saturday against the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Since returning from a meniscus tear on April 21, Jackson has been coming off the bench. In seven appearances, he's averaged 14.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 22.0 minutes. With his start Saturday, Jackson could also see an increased workload. He has yet to see more than 25 minutes in a game.
May 7, 2021
Scores 17 points off bench
Jackson mustered 17 points (4-12 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 6-6 FT), five rebounds and four steals across 25 minutes off the bench in Thursday's loss to the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has only played seven games this season but has been highly productive, scoring in double digits six times and putting up at least 15 points in four of those contests. His upside isn't very high as a bench threat, but he's doing enough to receive consideration in deep formats as a streaming alternative for managers looking for a scoring punch.
May 6, 2021
Not on injury report
Jackson is not on the injury report in advance of Thursday's game against the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
The big man was held out of Wednesday's win over Minnesota for rest purposes, but all indications are that he'll be back in the fold Thursday night. Jackson has appeared in six games off the bench since making his season debut on April 21, and at this stage it appears likely that Memphis will keep him in a reserve role through at least the rest of the regular season. Jackson is coming off of a 15-point, three-rebound effort in 20 minutes against New York on Monday.
May 4, 2021
Out for rest Wednesday
Jackson is out Wednesday against the Timberwolves due to return from injury management.
ANALYSIS
The Grizzlies will give Jackson a game off to rest his surgically-repaired left knee. In his absence, Brandon Clarke and Justise Winslow could see more minutes.
May 4, 2021
Scores well in 20 minutes
Jackson scored 15 points (4-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT) to go along with three rebounds across 20 minutes in Monday's loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Jackson continued to hover in the 20-minute range, as he's played a minimum of 18 minutes while never surpassing 24 since returning from a knee injury that cost him most of the season. He had his shot working Monday, connecting on multiple triples for only the second time despite averaging 4.5 attempts per game. Due to his minutes restrictions, Jackson has put together modest stat lines, though he is still averaging 13.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per contest.
May 1, 2021
Will play Saturday
Jackson (injury management) is off the injury report for Saturday's contest against the Magic.
ANALYSIS
As expected, following a one-game absence due to rest, Jackson will return to the court Saturday. He's come off the bench for each of his first four appearances and has averaged 15.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and 1.3 assists in 22.0 minutes.
Apr 29, 2021
Won't play Friday
Jackson (injury management) will not play Friday against the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Friday's game comes on the front end of a back-to-back, so it's not overly surprising that Jackson will be sidelined. The 21-year-old power forward likely has a good chance to play Saturday against Orlando.
Apr 29, 2021
Struggles from three continue
Jackson posted 13 points (4-15 FG, 2-10 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 24 minutes during Wednesday's 130-109 loss to the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson hasn't yet found his shooting touch from deep. In his four appearances this season, he's shooting just 19.0 percent from three on 5.3 attempts per game. However, he's making up for it in the other areas of his game. On a per-36 minute basis, Jackson is on pace to set career highs nearly across the board. Once his threes start to fall, Jackson could be in line for a huge finish to the season, even if most fantasy managers won't reap the benefits.
Apr 26, 2021
Shooting falls off
Jackson scored 10 points (3-10 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 3-6 FT) to go along with seven rebounds and one assist across 21 minutes in Monday's loss to the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Jackson returned from a one-game absence as the team continues to manage him in his return from knee surgery. As could be expected, he's shown some signs of rust early on, as he's shot poorly from the field in two of his three games. In other areas of his game, however, Jackson has appeared well prepared to contribute, highlighted by his ability to rack up five blocked shots in only three contests while also averaging 6.0 rebounds per game.
Apr 24, 2021
Out Sunday
Jackson is out Sunday against the Trail Blazers due to left knee injury management.
ANALYSIS
Unsurprisingly, Jackson will be rested on the front end of Sunday's back-to-back with hopes of playing Monday against the Nuggets. Jonas Valanciuans (concussion) is questionable, so the Grizzlies frontcourt could end up very shorthanded once again.
Apr 24, 2021
Makes strong impression off bench
Jackson totaled 23 points (10-14 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, two assists, a steal and a blocked shot over 25 minutes in Friday's 130-128 victory over Portland.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has already made a big impact for the club in his first two games after returning from knee surgery. After going for 15 points and four blocked shots in his season debut, Jackson provided 23 points on only 14 shots off the bench Friday. He also upped his minutes count to 25, and it wouldn't be surprising if he moves into the starting lineup soon given his standout performances thus far.
Apr 22, 2021
Blocks four shots in season debut
Jackson finished with 15 points (4-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 6-6 FT), eight rebounds and four blocks in 18 minutes during Wednesday's 117-105 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
After months of uncertainty, Jackson finally made it back on the floor for the Grizzlies and despite some obvious rust, his season debut could not really have gone any better from a production standpoint. The team is likely to play it very safe moving forward and so his upside is going to be somewhat limited. That said, his ability to block shots and hit three-pointers make him an intriguing target. If you can take the ups and downs, he is worth grabbing to see if he can ramp things up.
Apr 21, 2021
Coming off bench in season debut
Jackson (knee) will make his season debut Wednesday against the Clippers and come off the bench, Drew Hill of The Daily Memphian reports.
ANALYSIS
The 21-year-old has yet to see the court this season while recovering from knee surgery, but he'll make his 2020-21 debut Wednesday in Los Angeles. Coach Taylor Jenkins said the team will "be smart" with Jackson's minutes, so the 2018 first-round pick figures to be on a tight leash in his first action of the season.
Apr 20, 2021
Could return Wednesday
Jackson (knee) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson's return from knee surgery is imminent and could come as soon as Wednesday. He's missed the whole season up to this point, so we shouldn't be surprised if he's on a minutes limit when he finally does take the court. Once he's fully up to speed, he could move into the starting lineup at power forward.
Apr 19, 2021
Ruled out Monday
Jackson (knee) will not play Monday against Denver, Marc J. Spears of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson is not quite ready to make his season debut, but he appears to at least be getting closer after he had been listed as "doubtful" for the first time all season. The team has previously suggested that Jackson will make his return before the end of April.
Apr 18, 2021
Listed as doubtful for Monday
Jackson (knee) is listed as doubtful for Monday's game against the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
While Jackson almost certainly won't play, the move from "out" to "doubtful" represents a significant step in the right direction for the third-year big man. Jackson is yet to play this season as he works back from a torn meniscus. The recovery process is taking much, much longer than initially expected, but it looks as though Jackson will have a good chance to make his debut within the next week or two.
Mar 26, 2021
Will return by end of April
Jackson (knee) will make his return by the end of April, Evan Barnes of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
ANALYSIS
The Grizzlies have been kicking the can down the road with Jackson's status all season, but it finally appears like we're getting something definitive. In a best-case scenario, Jackson might be able to play 20 games for the Grizzlies before the end of the year. However, for fantasy purposes, the bulk of that could be after the fantasy playoffs. Make sure to check your league's schedule before making a move to potentially add Jackson.
Mar 11, 2021
Update coming later this month
Jackson's (knee) status will be updated again later this month or early next month, Chris Herrington of The Daily Memphian reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson's absence will last a few more weeks at minimum, which isn't surprising given that the team revealed Wednesday that the big man has yet to take contact in practice. Fantasy managers will have to continue a wait-and-see approach with Jackson. At this point, however, it's important to check when your league's fantasy playoffs are and if Jackson would even be available for them.
Mar 10, 2021
Has yet to take contact in practice
Jackson (knee) has not been involved in live contact activity in practice over the past week, Peter Edmiston of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The Grizzlies have been as vague as possible when discussing Jackson's recovery, and his return timetable remains cloudy. Jackson himself said in January that his return "is not that far" and "will probably sneak up on you." That certainly hasn't been the case, so it's not clear if he was told differently or suffered a setback. Until the team comes out with something definitive, we'll have to continue guessing.
Mar 9, 2021
Won't play Wednesday
Jackson (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
The Grizzlies previously expressed optimism the 21-year-old would be able to return after the All-Star break, but he won't be available for the first game of the second half. Jackson has yet to play this season while recovering from surgery to repair a torn meniscus in August. No setbacks have been reported for the young forward, so he could still end up making his season debut in the near future.
Feb 16, 2021
Likely back after All-Star break
The Grizzlies are optimistic that Jackson (knee) will be ready to make his season debut sometime after the All-Star break, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. "I think there's optimism, there's hope that we will see him...sometime after the second half of the season," Wojnarowski said in his televised appearance. "That midseason break of March 5 to March 10. Sometime after that."
ANALYSIS
Memphis has been tight-lipped about Jackson's potential return date while the third-year big man continues to recover from August surgery to repair a torn left meniscus. While Wojnarowski's report provides some level of clarity about when Jackson might play again, the news still probably registers as a disappointment for fantasy managers who had already been stashing the 21-year-old for the first two months of the season, hoping that his return was imminent. Wojnarowski noted that Jackson is back on the court and ramping up his activity, which at least suggests he's been able to steer clear of a major setback in the recovery process.
Feb 1, 2021
Without firm timetable
The Grizzlies plan to "ramp up" Jackson's (knee) recovery "over the next month or so" as he works back from a torn meniscus, Chris Herrington of The Daily Memphis reports.
ANALYSIS
Considering Jackson implied a few weeks ago that he was close to returning, this is not the most encouraging development from the Grizzlies, who appear content to take a longer-term approach with their young star. At this juncture, it's extremely unclear when Jackson could make his season debut, but it sounds like it will be at least a few more weeks until he's back in action.
Jan 31, 2021
Remains out Monday
Jackson (knee) will remain out for Monday's game against the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Earlier in January, Jackson teased that he was close to returning from a torn meniscus, but it's been more than two weeks and it's still extremely unclear when he'll make his season debut. The Grizzlies travel to Indiana on Tuesday, so Jackson will likely remain out for that contest, as well.
Jan 29, 2021
Ruled out for Saturday
Jackson (knee) won't take the floor Saturday against the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has yet to don the Grizz's uniform during the 2020-21 campaign and remains without a specific target date for his season debut. However, Jackson indicated earlier in the month that his return isn't too far off, so it's worth monitoring his status on a nightly basis.
Jan 24, 2021
Wednesday's game postponed
Jackson and the Grizzlies will not play Wednesday against the Bulls after the game was postponed.
ANALYSIS
Jackson is believed to be very close to making his season debut, but he'll have to wait a bit longer, as the Grizzlies will have a fourth consecutive contest postponed. Their next scheduled game arrives Saturday in San Antonio.
Jan 21, 2021
Next three games postponed
Jackson (knee) and the Grizzlies' next three games against Portland (Friday) and Sacramento (Sunday and Monday) have been postponed, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
There was some hope that Jackson would make his season debut sometime this week, but with the next three games postponed, his next chance to play will arrive Wednesday against Chicago.
Jan 19, 2021
Remains out Wednesday
Jackson (knee) won't play Wednesday against the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
It sounds like Jackson is on the verge of a return, but it won't come Wednesday. His next chance to play arrives Friday against the Blazers.
Jan 17, 2021
Still sidelined Monday
Jackson (knee) was ruled out for Monday's game against the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Jackson recently said that his return "is not that far" away, but he won't return to the floor against Phoenix on Monday. His next chance to play will be Wednesday against Portland, while Brandon Clarke, Kyle Anderson and Xavier Tillman should continue to see increased run in his absence.
Jan 16, 2021
Timetable for return 'not that far'
Jackson said in a recent interview that his timetable for a return to playing "is not that far, believe me. It will probably sneak up on you," Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated reports.
ANALYSIS
The Grizzlies have been quiet regarding Jackson's progress, but it sounds like a return isn't too far off. Once he does return, Brandon Clarke, Kyle Anderson and Jonas Valanciuas are all candidates to see a reduced workload.
Dec 30, 2020
Remains out
Jackson (knee) is listed as out for Wednesday's game against the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
The Grizzlies haven't provided any indication that Jackson is nearing a return to full-contact, full-court work in practice, so he's presumably week-to-week in his recovery from meniscus surgery than day-to-day. He'll be one of seven players sidelined Wednesday for the banged-up Grizzlies.
Dec 16, 2020
Grizzlies exercise option
Memphis exercised Jackson's (knee) club option for the 2021-22 season Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has been productive over his first two years in the NBA, so it's no surprise the Grizzlies want him under contract through at least the end of next season. The 21-year-old averaged 17.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.6 blocks in 28.5 minutes during the 2019-20 campaign, but he underwent surgery for a torn meniscus in August and will be sidelined for the start of the upcoming season.
Nov 19, 2020
Won't be ready to start season
Grizzlies executive Zach Kleiman revealed Thursday that Jackson (knee) will not be ready to play when the regular season begins, Mark Giannotto of the Memphis News reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson underwent surgery to repair a torn left meniscus back in late-August, and while he's without a firm timetable, the implication is that the Grizzlies expect him to miss a decent chunk of time. Kleiman did not get into specifics, but he confirmed that the team does not expect Jackson to be ready "early in the season".
Aug 19, 2020
Undergoes successful surgery
Jackson (knee) has undergone successful surgery to repair his torn left meniscus, Evan Barnes of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
ANALYSIS
It was announced Aug. 4 that Jackson suffered a torn meniscus and would be out for the remainder of the season. Without him, the Grizzlies were not able to hold onto a playoff spot and were eliminated during the play-in, losing to the Trail Blazers during the first game of a possible two. A firm timetable for Jackson's return has not been established, but it seems likely the big man will be ready in time for the 2020-21 season. Early estimates are that the campaign will begin sometime between January and March. In 2019-20, as a second-year player, he averaged 17.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.6 blocks and 1.4 assists. Jackson also emerged as a legitimate three-point threat, hitting 2.5 per game at 39.4 percent.
Aug 4, 2020
Done for season with torn meniscus
Jackson suffered a torn meniscus in his left knee and will miss the remainder of the 2019-20 season, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
This is a crushing blow for the Grizzlies, who will now attempt to hang on to the final playoff seed in the West without one of their best young players. It's unclear when the injury occurred, but Jackson appeared to emerge healthy from Monday's 109-99 loss to the Pelicans, in which he posted 22 points and two blocks in 32 minutes of action. The Grizzlies have not announced a recovery timetable, but the hope is that Jackson will be fully healthy by the start of the 2020-21 campaign.
Aug 3, 2020
Scores team-high 22 points
Jackson posted 22 points (7-17 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 6.8 FT), two rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal in 32 minutes during Monday's loss to the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was coming off a 21-point performance against the Spurs, but he bested himself in this pivotal contest against New Orleans. The power forward has been Memphis' biggest offensive threat since the restart, averaging 25.3 points per game in three games since the league resumed July 31.
Aug 2, 2020
Goes for 21 in loss to Spurs
Jackson finished with 21 points (8-13 FG, 2-5 3PT, 3-3 FT, three rebounds, two steals and two blocks in Sunday's loss to the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
After going for 33 points in Friday's opener against Portland, Jackson came back down to earth Sunday, though he was still efficient in his 35 minutes of action. The second-year forward is a poor rebounder for his size, but he makes up for it with contributions in the defensive categories, and from beyond the arc.
Jul 31, 2020
Pours in 33 points, six treys
Jackson produced 33 points (10-22 FG, 6-15 3Pt, 7-9 FT), three rebounds, one steal and one block in 43 minutes during Friday's 140-135 overtime loss to the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson was on fire from beyond the arc and also showed off impressive handles while attacking the basket. The 20-year-old big man is a prolific outside shooter with elite defensive potential. He did commit five fouls but that didn't stop him from logging heavy minutes. Apart from his tendency to get into foul trouble, Jackson's rebounding numbers leave plenty to be desired. Nevertheless, he remains a very compelling option for fantasy purposes, thanks in no small part to the team's fast-paced style of play.
Jul 27, 2020
Scores 10 points in scrimmage
Jackson finished with 10 points (3-10 FG, 2-4 3PT, 2-4 FT) and six rebounds in Sunday's scrimmage against Houston.
ANALYSIS
Starting at power forward, Jackson played 21 minutes and added a pair of steals and a pair of blocks on the defensive end. Jackson missed the Grizzlies' final nine games before the shutdown with a knee injury, but he's fully healthy as the team's first seeding game (Friday vs. POR) approaches.
Jul 24, 2020
13 points in scrimmage
Jackson posted 13 points (4-12 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-6 FT), three rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in 27 minutes during Friday's 90-83 scrimmage loss to the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson wasn't efficient from the field, but he was aggressive in getting to the free-throw line and provided a balanced box score, which helped make up for his poor shooting. In his career, Jackson has seven regular-season performances with at least three rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block.
Jul 3, 2020
Feels '110 percent'
Jackson said he feels "110 percent" in recovery from his knee injury suffered against the Lakers in February and confirmed he will be playing in the bubble, Evan Barnes of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Jackson is healthy and ready to go when the Grizzlies resume their season in Orlando. He missed Memphis' final nine games before the suspension of the season. Jackson is in the midst of a quality sophomore campaign, seeing 28.0 minutes per game and averaging 16.9 points on 13.0 shots, 4.7 rebounds, 1.6 blocks and 1.4 assists.
Apr 5, 2020
Presumably healthy again
Jackson (knee) is expected to be available to play whenever the NBA's hiatus ends, Omari Sankofa II of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson already appeared to have an outside shot of returning from a nine-game absence March 12 in Portland, but any hope of that happening was nixed when the NBA suspended its season earlier that day. With the benefit of three extra weeks of recovery time -- and most likely, at least another two months of time off to come -- Jackson shouldn't face any restrictions by the time the Grizzlies are cleared to resume training. Prior to getting hurt, the second-year big man was averaging 16.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.5 three-pointers, 1.6 blocks, 1.4 assists and 0.7 steals in 28 minutes per game over his 54 appearances.
Mar 10, 2020
Expected back 'within week'
Memphis announced Monday that it expects Jackson (knee) to return to game action "within the next week," Chris Herrington of The Daily Memphian reports.
ANALYSIS
Jackson's sprained left knee will keep him sidelined for a ninth straight game Tuesday versus the Magic, but based on the timeline provided by the team, the second-year big man could be available as soon as Thursday in Portland. Whenever he gets the green light to play, Jackson should immediately settle back in as the starting power forward for Memphis, which has remained competitive during his absence to maintain its lead for the eighth seed in the Western Conference.
Feb 23, 2020
Out at least two weeks
Jackson was diagnosed with a left knee sprain Sunday and will be reevaluated in two weeks.
ANALYSIS
The 20-year-old exited Friday's loss to the Lakers with left knee soreness, and an MRI revealed he sustained a sprain. Jackson is set to miss at least eight games before being reevaluated by the team. Brandon Clarke and Josh Jackson are likely candidates to see increased run during his absence.
Feb 22, 2020
Exits with knee soreness
Jackson left Friday's 117-105 loss to the Lakers early due to left knee soreness.
ANALYSIS
Jackson provided seven points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3PT, 5-8 FT), four rebounds, one assist and a steal across 16 minutes before exiting the contest. The severity of his knee soreness is not known at this time, so he should be considered day-to-day ahead of Monday's matchup with the Clippers. Brandon Clarke and Kyle Anderson would presumably see increased workloads should the second-year big man miss any more time.
Feb 21, 2020
Puts up 16 in loss
Jackson totaled 16 points (6-12 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 0-0 FT), two rebounds and two assists in 33 minutes during Thursday's 129-125 loss to the Kings.
ANALYSIS
It was Jackson's best-scoring game over his last four after having failed to get to 10 points in two of his last three prior to the break. The 20-year-old has indeed seen more playing time since the Andre Iguodala trade, seeing at least 30 minutes in his third consecutive game. That trend should continue Friday night against the Lakers.

Double-doubles in victory
Jackson contributed 14 points (6-16 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist and one block in 30 minutes during Sunday's 106-99 win over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
It wasn't an outstanding night for Jackson by his standards, but he did enough to help his team get the win. Considering that 45 percent of the 20-year old's minutes come at power forward, there's a chance the departures of Jae Crowder and Solomon Hill could increase Jackson's workload and fantasy output. Fantasy owners will hope his 28.0 minutes per game will come up a bit now because Jackson is a per-minute beast, and someone will have to pick up the 48.2 vacated minutes per game left by Crowder and Hill. It will likely be a combination of players to take on the extra load, but, as one of the Grizzlies' franchise cornerstones, Jackson should see at least a slight bump.

Solid production in return
Jackson finished with 14 points (3-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 8-9 FT), five rebounds, three blocks, two assists and one steal in 30 minutes during Monday's 96-82 victory over the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Jackson returned after missing the previous game due to a suspension. He managed to avoid foul trouble throughout, ending with a well-rounded performance. He has been a top-40 player over the past month and certainly looks as though he is only scratching the surface when it comes to his fantasy ceiling.

Suspended for one game
Jackson was handed a one-game suspension for his role in an altercation Wednesday night against the Knicks, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Marko Guduric and Elfrid Payton were also handed a one-game ban by the NBA following the contest. He'll miss Friday's game against the Pelicans as a result, likely resulting in more playing time for Brandon Clarke and Solomon Hill.

Career-high seven swats
Jackson tallied 10 points (4-10 FG, 2-8 3Pt), seven blocks, two rebounds and one assist across 31 minutes in Tuesday's 104-96 win over the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Jackson's scoring output was tied for his lowest mark in more than five weeks, but that was easy enough for fantasy managers to ignore thanks to the career-high block total. The second-year big man has recorded multiple blocks in five straight games and is averaging 1.6 per game for the season.

Blocks four shots
Jackson had 13 points (5-15 FG, 3-8 3PT), five rebounds, four blocks and one assist in 26 minutes during Wednesday's 119-95 loss at Boston.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has registered mutiple blocks in four of his last five games, and he has emerged as a reliable rim protector since he is averaging 1.5 blocks per game this season. His duality as both an interior presence and a long-range threat -- mostly due to his 40.6 three-point shooting percentage -- allows him to be an integral piece of Memphis' offensive puzzle even when his shot isn't falling on a consistent basis.

Scores 19 points
Jackson Jr. had 19 points (7-15 FG, 3-8 3PT, 2-4 FT), six rebounds, two blocks and one assist in 30 minutes during Monday's 126-116 loss against the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has scored 15 or more points in all but one of his January outings thus far, and he bounced back nicely from a 10-point outing last week -- despite ending with five fouls for the third time in his last five appearances. An excessive amount of fouls might be Jackson's lone issue so far in 2020 -- he is averaging 4.4 fouls per game while scoring 18.6 points per game on 51.2 percent shooting during the first month of 2020.

Battles foul trouble Friday
Jackson ended with just 10 points, one rebound and one steal in 20 minutes during Friday's 113-109 victory over the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Jackson struggled in just 20 minutes, racking up three early fouls on a disappointing night. Jackson has been a second-round player over the past month and for the most part, has been able to avoid foul issues. The Grizzlies went with Jonas Valanciunas and Brandon Clarke to close this one out but owners need not worry moving forward.

Mediocre in win
Jackson supplied 15 points (6-15 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three steals, two blocks, two rebounds and an assist during the Grizzlies' 121-110 victory against the Rockets on Tuesday night. He fouled out after 30 minutes of action.
ANALYSIS
Jackson struggled with his shot but racked up defensive stats to help mitigate the inefficiency. The second-year player has seen a bump in almost all major categories while evolving into one of the premier three-point shooters in the league (41.8 percent). He is averaging just under 21 points, along with six rebounds and two blocks per game in the month of January.
Jan 12, 2020
Scores 21 in 28 minutes
Jackson provided 21 points (8-15 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal in 28 minutes during Sunday's 122-102 win over the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Jackson has scored at least 20 in eight of the last 12 games, this after doing so only 10 times through his first 27 appearances this season. While his rebounding numbers continue to leave plenty to be desired, he possesses elite defensive potential and continues to showcase solid improvement here in his sophomore campaign.

Leads team to victory
Jackson scored 24 points (8-11 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT) and added three rebounds in 25 minutes during Friday's 134-121 win over the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Jackson paced the team in scoring and must love the number 24, as it's the fifth time this season he's banked exactly that many. On the season, the 20-year-old is averaging 18.0 points and 4.9 boards across 38 games.

Could be back Wednesday
Jackson (knee) will likely be a game-time call Wednesday against the Timberwolves, Chris Herrington of The Daily Memphian reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Taylor Jenkins didn't say much about Jackson's status at practice Tuesday, but he hinted that the forward is trending in the right direction after missing Monday's game against Houston. The second-year big man has been battling a sore knee, which he initially picked up during Saturday's loss to the Suns.

Won't play Monday
Jackson (knee) will not play Monday against the Rockets, Anthony Sain of Sports Illustrated reports.
ANALYSIS
The good news is Jackson avoided any structural damage to his right knee, but the team will hold him out Monday night after he initially suffered a knee injury during Saturday's loss to Phoenix. Memphis is calling Jackson day-to-day, so consider him questionable for Wednesday's matchup with the Timberwolves.
Nov 3, 2019
Doubtful Monday
Jackson (knee) is considered doubtful for Monday's game against Houston.
ANALYSIS
Jackson is dealing with soreness in his right knee, which appeared to hamper him during Saturday's loss to the Suns. In that game, Jackson had just seven points and one rebound in 22 minutes, though he did record three blocks. Assuming he sits Monday, rookie Brandon Clarke could be in line for an increased role.
Nov 2, 2019
Dealing with knee injury
Jackson is questionable to return to Saturday's game against the Suns with a right knee injury.
ANALYSIS
Jackson sustained the injury during the third quarter and limped his way to the locker room. Brandon Clarke figures to see increased run while he's sidelined.
