Hawkins underwent X-rays after sustaining the injury, which came back negative. Still, the Pelicans will refrain from putting the 22-year-old back into its final Summer League contest. Hawkins will finish the game with three points (0-3 FG, 3-4 FT) and a block across 11 minutes. It's unclear if the injury will impact Hawkins' availability for training camp.

Hawkins finished with three points (1-3 FG, 1-2 3Pt) and one rebound over 15 minutes during Monday's 124-111 loss to the Suns.

Since the All-Star break, the 21-year-old has averaged 3.7 points and 1.1 rebounds on 28.2 percent from the field. This is a serious decline from before the break, when Hawkins averaged 9.6 points and 2.7 rebounds in 20.1 minutes, nearly doubling his recent playing time. The Pelicans are fighting to stay out of the Play-In Tournament and with Jose Alvarado (oblique) anticipated to return soon, Hawkins is not expected to be a viable fantasy option nearing the end of the season.

Unless a serious backcourt injury occurs, a resurgence for Hawkins is unlikely.

Hawkins contributed eight points (2-10 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds and one assist in 29 minutes during Saturday's 141-117 loss to Milwaukee.

Hawkins streak of games with multiple made threes extends to five following Saturday's loss. While he wasn't at his sharpest, Hawkins has still rained in 52.0 percent of 5.6 threes per game across his last nine contests, amounting to 2.9 made threes per night. Hawkins earning 29 minutes for a healthy Pelicans' rotation Saturday bodes well for his rest-of-season outlook.

Hawkins totaled 21 points (7-12 FG, 6-9 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, one assist and one steal across 24 minutes during Wednesday's 132-112 win over the Hornets.

Hawkins drained six threes despite coming off the bench and reached the 20-point mark for the fifth time this season, which is impressive for a rookie who doesn't start regularly. Hawkins has improved regularly with each passing month and is going through his best stretch of the campaign of late, scoring in double digits in six of his nine appearances in January.

Comfortably outside the top 250 for the season, Hawkins should be viewed as a points and threes streamer, if and when his role escalates.

Hawkins saw all of his playing time in the fourth quarter with the Pelicans down by 24 points. He ended up leading the bench in scoring and finished tied for the leading scorer with Jonas Valanciunas. He won't get many minutes while Brandom Ingram and Trey Murphy are playing, but Hawkins' brief outing Friday is a good sign for the 2023 first-round pick out of Connecticut.

Hawkins went back to the bench to make room for Zion Williamson, but with Hawkins putting up 25 points in Saturday's start, the team may be missing out on a valuable opportunity. Dyson Daniels isn't getting it done at the point, and although the UConn product played off-guard in college, the team would do well to give the first-round pick a crack at point guard before CJ McCollum (chest) returns. An eventual lineup of McCollum, Hawkins, Ingram and Williamson could be the future setup, so consider stashing Hawkins on your bench if he's available.

Over three appearances, Hawkins has averaged 8.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 20.7 minutes for New Orleans.

Hawkins will start Monday's game against Golden State.

Hawkins will join the lineup for his first career NBA start. The rookie posted nine points and four rebounds while sinking three triples in Saturday's win over the Knicks.

Hawkins ended with nine points (3-7 FG, 3-6 3Pt), four rebounds and one assist in 18 minutes during Saturday's 96-87 win over New York.

Hawkins, who the Pelicans with the 14th pick of the 2023 NBA Draft, was able to see more action on the court thanks to the team's large lead in the fourth quarter with eight of his 18 minutes coming in the fourth quarter. He managed to shoot 50 percent from three on the evening and helped the team keep their large lead despite the Knicks clawing back to within single digits multiple times in the second half. Hawkins will look to build on his momentum Monday against the Warriors.

Hawkins scored a team-high 17 points (5-14 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 2-3 Ft) while adding two rebounds and an assist in 23 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 110-105 preseason loss to the Hawks.

The UConn product flashed the long-range shooting that made the Pelicans select him with the 14th overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. Hawkins could have trouble carving out a big role in the New Orleans backcourt as a rookie with CJ McCollum, Brandon Ingram and Jose Alvarado (ankle) all set for significant actiion, but if he keeps delivering as a second-unit scoring threat, he'll earn consistent minutes.

Hawkins produced seven points (1-12 FG, 1-6 3PT, 4-6 FT), six rebounds, two assists and two steals in 28 minutes of Tuesday's 82-73 Summer League victory over the Suns.

Through three Summer League appearances, Hawkins has shot a combined 5-of-22 from three-point range. Hawkins was a career 37.6 percent shooter at Connecticut, so he's due for some positive regression soon.

Hawkins finished with 16 points (7-15 FG, 1-6 3PT, 1-2 FT), five rebounds and one assist in 28 minutes of Sunday's 94-86 Summer League win over Golden State.

Hawkins, who is known for his perimeter shooting, is shooting just 25 percent from three through two Summer League games. With his efficiency from deep being so low, it is promising to see him still put together respectable scoring outputs, showing his versatility on the offensive end. It could be difficult for Hawkins to crack the Pelicans' rotation come the regular season, however, with the amount of talent they have on the wing.

Hawkins finished with 16 points (6-14 FG, 3-10 3PT, 1-6 FT), five assists, two rebounds and two steals in 29 minutes of Friday's 102-88 Summer League loss to Minnesota.

The Pelicans were outplayed for most of the game, but Hawkins and Dyson Daniels both had promising moments. The 14th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, Hawkins is known for his shooting and will have the green light from deep as evidenced by his 10 attempts. Unfortunately, minutes won't be easy to come by on the wings in New Orleans this season with guys like Brandon Ingram, Herb Jones and Trey Murphy around.
