After all, Poole has averaged at least 17.0 points per game in his last three seasons.

It's only been three games off the bench, and while that's too early to draw conclusions, he's averaging 23.3 points per game, and he's likely to remain in that role for the foreseeable future.

Poole has been one of the most underwhelming players in fantasy this season, but perhaps moving to the bench might spark him up, as he used to thrive as a bench alternative during his Golden State days. Poole will likely remain playing with the second unit when the Wizards take on the Thunder on Friday.

As expected coming into the season, Poole has largely been allowed to fire away, especially of late -- he's taken at least 20 field-goal attempts in three straight games and is averaging 26.7 points over that stretch. He's shooting just 41.8 over that span however, and fantasy managers who roster Poole should be well aware that the downside to his scoring potential is a poor field-goal percentage and limited production in categories outside of points and triples.

Poole finished Monday's 142-129 loss to the Bucks with 30 points (11-26 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 5-5 FT), one rebound and one assist over 33 minutes.

The 30 points was Poole's season-best mark, though it took a lot of shots to get there. Regardless, this should be a confidence booster after Poole was held to eight points against the Knicks on Friday. The Wizards have lost six straight games and just haven't looked competitive in several games this season.

Poole accumulated eight points (2-11 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), one rebound and four assists over 29 minutes during Friday's 120-99 loss to New York.

Poole's shooting woes continued Friday to the dismay of his fantasy managers. Over the last six games, Poole is shooting just 34.1 percent from the field. His counting stats haven't been much better, as he's averaging 12.5 points, 3.7 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.3 three-pointers in that same stretch.

Poole logged 14 points (6-16 FG, 2-6 3Pt), four rebounds, six assists, one block and three steals across 35 minutes during Monday's 111-107 loss to Toronto.

Poole was expected to be one of Washington's main scoring threats this season due to his projected usage rate and proven scoring ability, but his struggles have made him the clear second-best option behind Kyle Kuzma. Those struggles continued Monday, as Poole has now gone three straight games without reaching the 15-point mark while shooting 17-for-42 from the field in that span.

Poole had 12 points (5-12 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 0-1 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one block in 32 minutes before fouling out of Sunday's 102-94 loss to Brooklyn.

Poole failed to reach the 15-point mark for the third game in a row Sunday and continues to struggle in a lead role. He has reached the 20-point mark twice in nine outings, averaging 16.4 points per game and shooting a mere 41.7 percent from the field.

Poole produced 11 points (3-12 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 4-5 FT), two rebounds and one assist across 20 minutes during Wednesday's 132-116 victory over Charlotte.

Poole topped 20 points for the second time this season during Monday's loss to Philadelphia, but he was unable to replicate those results with an inefficient showing from the floor Wednesday. He also didn't have much production in secondary categories, but that can at least partially be attributed to playing just 20 minutes in the blowout win. He's averaging 17.4 points and 3.3 assists in 26.9 minutes per game and should have better performances in closer matchups.

Poole supplied 19 points (8-14 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 0-1 FT), one rebound, six assists and four steals in 28 minutes during Friday's 121-114 loss to the Heat.

Poole finished as Washington's second-leading scorer behind Kyle Kuzma, who tallied 22 points. Poole's production was more efficient than Kuzma's, however, as he made as many field-goals (eight) as Kuzma on five fewer attempts. Poole was particularly sharp from deep, knocking down three of four three-point tries. Given his efficiency and the fact that he added season-best marks in assists (six) and thefts (four), this was arguably Poole's finest game in a Wizards uniform thus far.

Poole logged 13 points (5-13 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), one assist and one steal in 20 minutes during Wednesday's 130-121 loss to the Hawks.

Poole entered the 2023-24 season with the expectation of being one of the Wizards' primary scoring weapons alongside Kyle Kuzma, but his shooting woes have reduced his upside in the early stages of the season. It's entirely possible that he's going through a slump and could bounce back as the season progresses, but as of now, the struggles are real. Through four games, Poole is shooting just 38.5 percent from the field and 24.1 percent from the field while averaging 17.3 points per contest.

Poole recorded 27 points (8-23 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 7-9 FT), four rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 36 minutes during Saturday's 113-106 win over the Grizzlies.

Poole didn't have his best shooting performance and was decidedly careless in his efficiency at some point in the second half when the Wizards were leading by a wide margin. However, he tightened things down the stretch and made some big plays in the fourth quarter to ice the win. Poole has scored 45 total points across his first two outings in a Wizards uniform, but the shooting woes are real -- he has made just 15 of his 41 shots from the field and four of his 18 three-point attempts in that span.

Poole registered 18 points (7-18 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), five assists, two rebounds, one steal and one block in 26 minutes during Wednesday's 143-120 loss to the Pacers.

Poole was traded by the Warriors on June 22 in exchange for Chris Paul in a move to add scoring alongside forward Kyle Kuzma, Poole had an up-and-down preseason that included a 41-point performance on Oct. 19, followed by a 1 of 15 shooting display just two days later. He was second on the team in scoring Wednesday behind Kuzma but missed all six of his three point attempts while turning the ball over four times, which was most on the team. He'll look to get his three-point stroke going Saturday when the Wizards host the Grizzlies in their home opener.

Poole scored seven points (1-15 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 5-5 FT) while adding four assists, two rebounds and a steal in 20 minutes during Friday's 134-98 preseason loss to the Raptors.

After being acquired from the Warriors in the offseason to help fill the hole left by the Bradley Beal trade, Poole is expected to be the focal point of the Wizards' offense this year, but he ended the preseason on a sour note as he couldn't get anything to fall against a tough Toronto defense. The 41 points he poured in against the Knicks on Wednesday highlights his upside, however. Poole shot 35.3 percent (12-for-34) from three-point range over four preseason contests, and that increased volume from his Golden State days -- he averaged a career-high 7.8 attempts from beyond the arc last season -- bodes well for a 2023-24 breakout.

Poole exploded offensively in Wednesday's preseason win over New York, leading all players in the contest in scoring, threes made and three throws made en route to a 41-point showing. Poole has had a strong preseason for Washington, averaging 23.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 steals over three contests.

Poole posted 18 points (6-13 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two assists and one rebound over 20 minutes in Tuesday's 145-82 preseason win over Cairns.

Poole led all players in Tuesday's preseason contest in threes made while finishing second on the team in scoring and two points shy of the 20-point mark in a blowout win. Poole enters his first season with the Wizards this year after finishing a four-year tenure with the Golden State Warriors and should see plenty of playing time with Washington in his fifth NBA season.

Poole was traded from the Warriors to the Wizards on Thursday in exchange for Chris Paul, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

In addition to Poole, the Wizards will receive a protected first-rounder in 2030 and a second-rounder in 2027. While Poole was certainly better than his previous performance, his production Wednesday was still not up to scratch. Despite the victory, the Warriors are going to need Poole to get things going on the offensive end, be it in this series or the next, depending on the end result.

Poole registered 21 points (7-15 FG, 6-11 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six assists and one steal in 30 minutes during Tuesday's 117-112 loss to the Lakers in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals.

Poole was sharp and efficient all game long, but his ill-advised deep three with 10 seconds left soured his Game 1 performance. Either way, it was a nice bounce-back outing after he totaled just 15 points over the final two matchups of the opening-round series. Golden State will likely need similar offensive production from Poole moving forward, but maybe more importantly, they need him to play better defense on Dennis Schroder and D'Angelo Russell, who both scored 19 points Tuesday.

Poole isn't starting Sunday's Game 7 against the Kings, Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

After a major letdown at home in Game 6, the Warriors are reverting back to their standard starting lineup of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green and Kevon Looney. In his two games off the bench this series, Poole has averaged 10.5 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 19.0 minutes per game.

Since the start of March, the Michigan product has started just four of his 18 appearances, averaging 19.8 points, 4.3 assists and 2.4 rebounds with 42/35/89 shooting splits.

He should continue to be a primary source of second-unit scoring down the stretch and into the playoffs.

Poole (wrist) is available for Tuesday's game versus New Orleans.

Poole got hot from deep and scored a team-high 33 points off the bench, marking his highest-scoring game since March 2. With Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson healthy, Poole has come off the bench in 10 of his last 11 appearances, averaging 16.5 points and 4.5 assists during that stretch.

Poole racked up five points (1-8 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, eight assists, one block and one steal over 26 minutes during Monday's 121-108 win over the Rockets.

Poole was woeful from the field and failed to score in double figures for the first time since Feb. 4, when he posted just three points in a win over Dallas. The Sixth Man of the Year candidate salvaged his performance by dishing out a team-high eight assists, marking just the seventh time he's reached that plateau this season. Across 11 March appearances, Poole is averaging 16.8 points, 4.6 assists and 2.2 rebounds in 29.1 minutes, but he's shooting just 37.7 percent from the field and 33.8 percent from deep.

Poole came off the bench for the fourth time in his past five games, but that didn't stop him from having a nice offensive night. The dynamic guard finished third on the Warriors with 20 points and tied Stephen Curry for second on the squad with four triples. Poole has reached 20 points just twice in his past six games, but he's posted that mark 38 times in his 69 contests overall this season.

Poole will come off the bench Saturday against the Bucks, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.

He remains a clear must-roster player but as we have seen throughout the season, his numbers can fluctuate substantially from one night to the next.

Poole will join the first unit for Thursday's meeting with the Grizzlies, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.

Poole will claim the two-guard spot in the backcourt alongside Stephen Curry Thursday as Steve Kerr rolled out an ultra-small lineup featuring Klay Thompson at the four and Draymond Green at the five. In 41 starts this season, Poole has averaged 24.5 points, 4.7 assists and 3.1 rebounds across 33.1 minutes. However, most of those starts came with one or both of Curry and Thompson sidelined, so his typical starter production could decline with the pair healthy.

Poole was outstanding Thursday and carried the Warriors to a much-needed home win. Even though Poole's scoring ability is well-known around the league, his numbers are expected to decrease sooner than later with Stephen Curry (lower leg) expected to return in the coming days -- and possibly as early as Sunday against the Lakers. Poole is averaging 21.7 points pr game since the start of February.

Poole (knee) is available for Thursday's game versus the Clippers.

Poole has been upgraded from probable to available Thursday with a left knee contusion. The 23-year-old guard is averaging 20.8 points, 5.8 assists and 3.0 rebounds in 31.9 minutes across his last 10 contests. Poole should continue to be a highly productive fantasy player while Stephen Curry (lower leg) remains sidelined.

His poor shooting makes him a risky play in category leagues, but he should remain a solid play in point leagues until Stephen Curry (lower leg) is cleared to return.

Poole logged 15 points (5-20 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 4-5 FT), three rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals across 35 minutes during Sunday's 109-104 win over Minnesota.

Poole was woeful from the field in the victory, shooting 4-of-20, including 1-of-9 from the three-point line. He has now shot under 40 percent in four of the past five games, placing him well outside the top 150 over that time. As a player whose fantasy value is heavily reliant on only a couple of categories, this is a good example of how players like Poole can quickly turn into a negative. He remains a must-roster player but for some, his strengths are simply not enough to outweigh his weaknesses.

Poole had 28 points (10-20 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 5-6 FT), two rebounds and six assists in 33 minutes during Tuesday's 134-124 loss to the Clippers.

Poole led the Warriors in scoring but was unable to carry them to victory. He returned to the starting lineup following the injury sustained by Stephen Curry (lower leg) and has been on a tear of late, reaching the 20-point plateau in four of his five contests since moving back to a starting role and averaging 26.0 points with 7.0 assists per game in that span.

Poole closed Saturday's 109-103 loss to the Lakers with 29 points (11-25 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, six assists, two blocks and one steal in 37 minutes.

Poole was once again a scoring machine with Stephen Curry (leg) out of the lineup. Poole's 25 shot attempts matched his second-highest total of the season, but his shots didn't really start to fall until the fourth quarter. Poole went 6-of-11 from the floor in the final stanza, scoring 17 of his 29 points.

Poole contributed 38 points (13-25 FG, 7-12 3Pt, 5-5 FT), one rebound and seven assists over 35 minutes during Wednesday's 125-122 loss to Portland.

Poole needs to step his game up with Stephen Curry (lower leg) sidelined, and that's precisely what he's done over the last two games, dishing out a career-high 12 assists against the Thunder on Monday and now delivering his third-best scoring mark of the campaign in a tight loss against the Blazers. Poole should remain a starter and a significant contributor to Golden State's offensive scheme ahead of Saturday's matchup against the Lakers.

Poole finished with 21 points (8-14 FG, 5-10 3Pt), 12 assists and four rebounds across 29 minutes in Monday's 141-114 win over the Thunder.

Poole had been expected to step into a heightened scoring role while re-entering the starting five in place of Stephen Curry (lower leg), and while he narrowly surpassed his season average in points (20.5 per game), the 23-year-old made his biggest impact Monday as a facilitator for Klay Thompson, who drilled a season-high 12 three-pointers. The 12 dimes were a new career-high total for Poole, whose previous spot starts in place of Curry had often been marred by low assist counts and inefficient, high-volume shooting. If he's willing to defer more to Thompson and turn his focus toward creating open looks for others while serving as more of a secondary scorer, Poole may be able to bring his fantasy value up a notch from where it was when Curry previously missed time in December and early January due to a shoulder injury.

Poole will move into the starting lineup for Monday's matchup with the Thunder, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.

This was the expected move with Stephen Curry (knee) going down, and with Curry not having a timetable and not likely to be back any time soon, it'll be a full-time Poole party moving forward. Over 30 starts this season, Poole has compiled averages of 24.9 points, 3.2 boards, 4.2 assists, 2.9 triples, 1.0 steal and 3.7 turnovers per contest on 44.1% shooting from the floor and 87.7% at the stripe.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said that Poole will re-enter the starting lineup beginning with Monday's game against the Thunder while Stephen Curry (lower leg) is sidelined indefinitely, Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Though he moved back to the bench in the Warriors' most recent game Saturday against the Mavericks after Kerr noted that big man Kevon Looney would play with the top unit moving forward, Poole won't have to wait long to get another extended look in a starting role. The Warriors haven't yet offered up a timeline for Curry to return to the court after he exited Saturday's game with the lower-leg injury, but multiple reports have suggested that the two-time league MVP will be out through the All-Star break, and likely additional games beyond that. Poole finished second on the Warriors with 22 points Thursday, and he got to that mark on an efficient 8-for-15 shooting line. The fourth-year guard scored over half of his points from three-point range, where he went 4-for-8. This was a nice bounce-back performance for Poole, as he had averaged just 14.0 points on 36.4 percent shooting over his previous three games.

Poole ended with 18 points (4-13 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 9-10 FT), seven rebounds and five assists over 32 minutes during Wednesday's 119-114 overtime loss to the Timberwolves.

Poole managed to put up 18 points in the loss, but he needed 13 attempts from the field and 10 shots from the charity stripe to do it. He's knocked down only eight of 25 attempts from the field over his last two contests. However, this appears to be a slight bump in the road for Poole, who shot 44.6 percent from the field through 13 January appearances.

Poole registered 21 points (8-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, seven assists and one steal over 31 minutes during Wednesday's 122-120 victory over the Grizzlies.

Poole was in the starting lineup for the fifth game in a row Wednesday. He is averaging 25.2 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 2.2 steals per game over that stretch. He stayed hot against Memphis, hitting a game-winning layup and putting up his highest assist total since December 7. Kerr said Poole will stay in the starting lineup "for time being", and he will remain even more fantasy relevant than normal, as long as that holds.

Poole finished with 17 points (5-11 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, four steals, three assists and one block across 29 minutes in Sunday's 120-116 loss to the Nets.

Though most of Poole's fantasy value typically derives from the points, three-pointers, free-throw percentage and assists categories, he's been delivering his biggest impact in the steals column of late. He's now recorded at least one steal in seven consecutive games and is averaging 2.0 per game over that stretch.

Poole ended Friday's 120-114 victory over the Cavaliers with 32 points (10-23 FG, 5-12 3Pt, 7-8 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one steal across 41 minutes.

Poole did damage from beyond the arc, scoring 15 of his 32 points from deep. He also registered a steal for his sixth straight contest, though he also committed a team-high five turnovers.

Things went downhill from there, however, as the shooting guard connected on just one of eight shot attempts between the fourth quarter and overtime before finishing with 24 points on the night. Poole has broken the 20-point mark in all but one game this month and has recorded at least two steals in three straight.

Poole continues to produce for the Warriors, and even though he's now expected to come off the bench with Stephen Curry back in the lineup, that shouldn't affect his numbers heavily. Poole has scored 20 or more points in eight straight games for the second-longest 20-point streak in his career.

Even so, the Michigan product should see plenty of looks at point guard going forward with Curry expected to remain out for the next month. Poole is averaging 29.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.0 steals over his last four contests.

Poole provided 43 points (14-23 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 10-11 FT), one rebound, six assists and one steal in 35 minutes during Sunday's 126-110 victory over the Raptors.

Poole had a more prominent role on offense with both Stephen Curry (shoulder) and Andrew Wiggins (groin) sidelined, and this resulted in the guard posting the best scoring output of his NBA career. Poole has jumped into the starting unit due to all the absences the Warriors have been dealing with of late, but he has adjusted well and should remain one of the team's go-to players on offense, at least while Wiggins and Curry are sidelined. He's averaging 26.7 points per game in December.

Poole finished Friday's 118-106 loss to the 76ers with 29 points (10-20 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 5-6 FT), one rebound, four assists and one steal in 37 minutes.

Poole took on a more significant role on offense with Stephen Curry (shoulder) and Andrew Wiggins (groin) sidelined, and he made the most of the opportunity. It remains to be seen if Poole will remain as a starter once the likes of Wiggins and Draymond Green (quadriceps) return to the starting unit, but even if he comes off the bench, he should remain valuable across all formats due to his scoring ability, something that will be even more important with Curry sidelined for, at least, a couple of weeks.

Poole has now scored 20 or more points in five straight games to begin the month but is shooting just 23.3 percent from three over his last three.

Poole accumulated 36 points (10-23 FG, 4-13 3Pt, 12-13 FT), four rebounds and eight assists across 37 minutes during Wednesday's 124-123 loss to Utah.

Poole started at the point in place of Stephen Curry (ankle) after drawing a start for Andrew Wiggins (groin) in the previous game. He matched a season high in the loss, continuing an impressive four-game scoring run to begin the month. The adjusted role also allowed Poole to post his second-highest assist total of the season. One should expect Poole's production to remain high if the current injury scenario continues.

Poole has yet to miss a game this season, but his availability is up in the air for Monday's contest.

Poole looked much like the player we saw at the end of last season, appearing unstoppable at times with efficient shooting and a season-high seven-three pointers. He added very little in terms of peripheral stats, but it was an impressive scoring outburst nonetheless, especially considering that he played only 23 minutes. Poole has been a mild fantasy disappointment thus far, but he's shown the ability to break out offensively on occasion, producing three games of 30 or more points.

Poole had nine points (3-9 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, nine assists and one steal in 27 minutes during Tuesday's 116-113 loss to Dallas.

Poole continued to struggle with his shot in the loss but was able to salvage his night with a season-high nine assists. An element of his game that has certainly developed over the past 12 months, Poole is now quite comfortable playing as a primary facilitator. While managers would love for him to find some momentum on the offensive end, it is nice to see him adding some other elements to his game.

Poole notched 24 points (9-17 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds and six assists over 27 minutes during Sunday's 137-114 win over Minnesota.

Poole scored 14 of his 24 points in the first half and went 6-for-10 from the field before halftime. It was his first time scoring more than 20 points as a reserve since Oct. 29. Even with Sunday's strong performance, he's made just 37.9 percent of his shots and 21.7 percent of his three-point tries over the last seven games.

Poole closed with 26 points (9-18 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 6-7 FT), one block and one steal across 27 minutes during Monday's 128-83 loss to New Orleans.

The Warriors rested all of their starters in the second half of a back-to-back set, so this led several reserves to see more playing time in a game where the team suffered a blowout loss. Under that scenario, it was not a surprise to see Poole leading the team in scoring and operating as the go-to player on offense. The Warriors are expected to play at full strength Wednesday against the Clippers, however, so Poole should return to his bench role in that contest.

Poole will start at point guard Monday against the Pelicans.

Poole will get an opportunity to start with the Warriors electing to give the majority of the first unit a night off. He'll start alongside Donte DiVincenzo, Anthony Lamb, Jonathan Kuminga and Kevon Looney.

Poole was woeful from the field once again Friday, something that is becoming an unwanted trend. He now sits outside the top 170 this season, well below where he was being drafted. He obviously won't be this bad but managers should certainly look to reevaluate when it comes to projecting his season-long value.

Poole was dreadful in the loss, extinguishing memories of his previous performance quite quickly. Coming off a season-best effort, he regressed hard, remaining everyone just what a struggle it has been thus far this season. While the assist numbers are nice, he now sits outside the top 160 for the season, making him an early-season bust candidate, that's for sure.

Poole will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against the Suns.

The Warriors avoided going 0-3 with Poole in the starting lineup, and Poole's performance was easily his season-high.

He remains a hold in standard formats but currently sitting outside the top 200, he needs to turn things around in a hurry.

Poole chipped in two points (1-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 0-1 FT), one rebound and three assists over 22 minutes during Monday's 116-113 victory over Sacramento.

After making a spot start against New Orleans on Friday, Poole was back in his usual bench role but struggled to make much of an impact in 22 minutes -- his second-lowest total of the season. The Michigan product is off to an up-and-down start, having scored at least 20 points four times while also putting up 11 or fewer points five times in 11 games. Overall, Poole is averaging 15.2 points, 4.9 assists, 1.5 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 2.0 made threes with a 41/30/81 shooting line.

Poole will come off the bench Monday against the Kings.

Poole will head back to the bench with Stephen Curry (elbow) cleared to start Monday evening. Poole has seen plenty of chances off the bench so far this season, so this role change is unlikely to impact his production much.

Poole performed extremely well in his first start of the season Sunday, posting 30 points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals in 36 minutes. However, Poole also played 36 minutes off the bench Saturday, so this lineup change shouldn't affect his production much.

One day after injuring his ankle, Poole started and a season-high 30 points. He scored 18 in the third quarter, going 5-for-6 from beyond the arc. Sunday was his first start of the season after making 51 starts a year ago. The 24-year-old has scored at least 24 points in three of his last five contests, bringing his season average up to 17.9 points per game.

Poole (ankle) will start Sunday's game against the Pistons, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.

Poole was listed as questionable after tweaking his right ankle late in Saturday's loss to the Hornets, but he'll be good to go Sunday and will draw the start in the absence of Klay Thompson (rest). Poole acknowledged after Saturday's 120-113 loss to the Hornets that he twisted his right ankle late in the overtime period, but he feels like he'll be able to play in the second leg of a back-to-back set Sunday in Detroit, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.

Before picking up the ankle injury, Poole tied his season-high total with 24 points (10-20 FG, 4-11 3Pt) and chipped in four assists, two rebounds, two steals and one block across 36 minutes. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr hasn't been shy in the past about holding out key players for rest purposes back-to-back sets, and with a matchup on tap against the 1-5 Pistons and Poole nursing a legitimate injury, it wouldn't be surprising if the 23-year-old guard ends up getting Sunday off. Even if that ends up being the case, Poole at least sounds like he'll have a good chance at being ready to go for Tuesday's game in Miami.

Thus far, it's been a little bit of everything when it comes to production, often reliant on how much time he is spending on the floor. The Warriors play again on Sunday and Poole will look to ride this momentum. However, he did suffer an ankle injury late Saturday, so managers will want to keep an eye on the injury report.

Poole picked up a minor ankle injury but is not expected to be something serious, C.J. Holmes of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

There wasn't a sight of Poole picking up any injury during the Warriors' loss to the Hornets on Saturday, but it was the player himself who spoke about the injury with some reporters outside of Golden State's locker room. However, Poole also stated he was fine and that he only rolled his ankle in the final minute of the game while also saying he fully expects to play Sunday against the Pistons. Either way, he should be considered questionable until the Warriors reveal his official injury report for the upcoming game against Detroit. Poole finished Saturday's loss with 24 points (10-20 FG, 4-11 3Pt), two rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals over 36 minutes off the bench.

Poole notched 11 points (4-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, seven assists and one steal across 21 minutes during Thursday's 123-110 victory over the Heat.

Poole has been forced to come off the bench with Klay Thompson being healthy, so his numbers have taken a regression compared to the 2021-22 campaign. That said, he's firmly entrenched as Golden State's sixth man and top scoring threat off the bench, as evidenced by the fact that he's scored in double digits in four of his first five outings of the campaign. He should remain valuable in most formats, but he's not going to produce the excellent numbers he posted one season ago.

Poole posted 24 points (7-14 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 7-9 FT), four assists and one steal in 27 minutes during Sunday's 130-125 win over Sacramento.

Poole led the Warriors off the bench with a team-high scoring mark among the second unit. Poole, who has surpassed the double-digit mark in two of three games this year, recorded a new season-high point total in the win.

Poole was hunted by the Celtics defensively, which resulted in lessened playing time across the finals. Still, he was able to make solid offensive contributions and was a key factor in the Warriors regular season success. His emergence was one of the biggest stories in the NBA this season. The 22-year-old likely has an enormous future in store.

His assist-to-turnover ratio is lackluster, but the 22-year-old stud sixth man may be heating up from deep.

Poole closed Thursday's 120-110 victory over Dallas in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals with 16 points (6-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds, six assists and two steals across 28 minutes.

Poole scored in double figures for a sixth straight game and finished with at least six rebounds and six assists in the same game for the second time during the postseason. Poole will not be subject to any disciplinary action from the NBA following his swipe at Ja Morant's right knee during Saturday's Game 3, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.

The controversial play, which Morant and Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins maintain led to the star point guard departing the game midway through the fourth quarter, has developed into the primary storyline coming out of Saturday's 142-112 blowout. While Memphis clearly believes Poole was in the wrong, the fact that the league will not fine, suspend or upgrade the foul to a flagrant indicates that no malicious intent was found. With that being the case, Poole will be a full go for Monday's Game 4 as the Warriors look to take a 3-1 series advantage. Morant, meanwhile, is expected to miss Game 4.

Poole provided 27 points (11-17 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and two assists across 31 minutes during Saturday's 142-112 win over the Grizzlies.

Payton is a more valuable asset with Gary Payton (elbow) out of the lineup. He came into Saturday's game averaging 22.3 points, 5.9 assists and 3.3 rebound over seven playoff games, and despite coming off the bench, he averaged 33.4 minutes on the court over that span. He maintained his offensive impact Saturday, sinking 64.7 percent of his 17 shot attempts.

Poole had 20 points (8-16 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds and five assists over 34 minutes during Tuesday's 106-101 loss to Memphis.

Poole and Stephen Curry led the offense once again in Game 2, although Poole experienced a significant regression after his superb 31-point performance in Game 1. The Grizzlies needed a game to get a handle on Golden State's small-ball lineup, and although they didn't contain Poole completely, they were successful in limiting his success at the perimeter, where he only drained one three-pointer in six attempts.

Poole chipped in 31 points (12-20 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, nine assists and two blocks across 37 minutes during Sunday's 117-116 victory over the Grizzlies.

With Klay Thompson (15 points, 6-19 FG) and Stephen Curry (24 points, 8-20 FG) both having good-not-great games, it was Poole who took center stage for the Warriors, leading the team in both scoring and assists while tying for the team high in rebounds and made threes. The Michigan product continues to assert himself as much more than a spark plug off the bench, as he's now scored at least 27 points in four of the Warriors' six postseason games, to date.

Poole started the second half of Sunday's Game 1 against the Grizzlies in place of Gary Payton, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.

Payton drew his first start of the playoffs, but with Draymond Green ejected at the end of the first half, he'll retreat to the bench in favor of Poole, who has been stellar as a starter this season. Over his last 20 games (all starts), Poole has averaged 24.6 points, 5.6 assists and 4.1 rebounds in 34.4 minutes.

Stephen Curry has been working his way back from injury and the Warriors have not rushed their start point guard out, a move that has allowed Poole to stay in the starting lineup for the first three games of the series. While he should head back to a bench role sooner than later, Poole has done more than enough to stick as a starter for the long run. He's averaging 28.7 points per game while shooting 66.7 percent from the field and 59.1 percent from deep during the current series.

Poole ended with 29 points (10-16 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, eight assists, one block and two steals across 34 minutes during Monday's 126-106 win over the Nuggets.

Poole started over Stephen Curry for the second straight postseason contest and once again proved his worth with a superb all-around effort. He ranked second on the team behind Curry with 29 points, led the Warriors in assists and tied for second in rebounds. Poole's big scoring effort came on a 10-for-16 shooting line (including a 5-for-10 mark from deep), and he has gone 19-for-29 (65.5 percent) from the field overall while knocking down 10 total triples over the first two games of the series. Poole's strong play has given the Warriors the luxury of bringing Curry -- who played just 23 minutes Monday -- off the bench while he ramps back up following a monthlong absence due to a foot injury, though it stands to reason that the roles will eventually be switched once Curry is ready to handle a full workload.

Poole notched 30 points (9-13 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 7-8 FT), one rebound and three assists in 30 minutes during Saturday's 123-107 victory over the Nuggets.

Poole remained in the starting lineup despite the return of Stephen Curry (foot), who came back from a month-long absence and was on a minutes limit. It was the first playoff appearance of Poole's career, and he was undaunted by the spotlight, scoring a team-high 30 points on just 13 field-goal attempts. The third-year guard scored half of his points from beyond the arc, going 5-for-7 from three-point range in a Curry-esque performance. Poole took his game to another level while Curry was out, averaging 25.8 points over the final 12 contests of the regular season. Even when Curry eventually makes his way back into the starting lineup, Poole should continue to see major minutes given his late-season emergence.

Poole will start at point guard for Saturday's Game 1 against the Warriors, while Stephen Curry (foot) comes off the bench on a minutes limit.

Coach Steve Kerr will opt to ease Curry back into game action by bringing him off the bench, so Poole remains in the starting five. Over his past 15 starts, he's averaged 25.9 points, 5.7 assists and 4.7 rebounds in 35.0 minutes.

Poole provided 18 points (3-19 FG, 1-11 3Pt, 11-11 FT), six rebounds and eight assists across 34 minutes during Saturday's 100-94 win over the Spurs.

Poole tied for the team lead in scoring in the win, but he had a miserable day from the field, going 1-for-11 from three-point range and 3-for-19 overall. The talented guard somewhat redeemed himself with a perfect 11-for-11 mark from the charity stripe while dishing eight dimes and grabbing six boards. Poole is usually much better than this -- he came into the contest shooting 49.5 percent from the field and 44.6 percent from beyond the arc since March 3 -- so it's likely that a sore right hand that caused him to be questionable for the contest played a part in his struggles. It will be interesting to see how Golden State manages his workload Sunday, as the Warriors need a win or a Dallas loss to cement the third seed in the Western Conference.

Poole and Klay Thompson (36 points) combined for over half of the Warriors' scoring output in the victory, and the pair of guards knocked down 14 of the team's 20 three-pointers. Poole finished with his second straight game of 30-plus points and has scored at least 20 points in 16 consecutive contests. Over that stretch, he is posting per-game averages of 26.6 points, 5.1 assists, 4.1 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 4.5 treys.

Poole has been exceptional in Stephen Curry's (foot) absence over the past seven games, posting per-game averages of 28.1 points, 5.7 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 4.4 three-pointers. He is likely to be a league-winner for many fantasy managers who nabbed him off the waiver wire earlier this season.

Poole chipped in 25 points (7-17 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 8-8 FT), five rebounds and three assists over 28 minutes during Monday's 123-95 loss to the Grizzlies.

The Warriors played without many of their veteran regulars Monday, handing Poole the reigns on offense. The 22-year-old didn't disappoint, leading the Warriors in scoring and finishing with his 14th straight game of 20-plus points. Poole has looked like a superstar over that stretch, averaging 25.5 points, 4.9 assists, 3.6 rebounds and a Stephen-Curry-like 4.2 three-pointers over that stretch.

Poole recorded 26 points (8-25 FG, 1-10 3Pt, 9-11 FT), six rebounds, two assists and three steals in 39 minutes during Sunday's 123-115 loss to Washington.

Poole fired a career-high 25 shots Sunday, en route to a volume-based scoring performance. Overall inefficient, Poole was especially cold from beyond the arc. Stepping back, it's apparent that Poole has blossomed into a go-to option for the Warriors. With Stephen Curry (foot) expected to miss at least another week, Poole's late-season boom has no immediate end in sight.

Poole closed with 30 points (10-18 FG, 7-13 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds and nine assists in 39 minutes during Wednesday's 118-104 win over Miami.

Poole was dynamic again Wednesday, dropping a game-high 30 points as the Warriors upset the Heat. It's been a breakout season for Poole, capped off by his recent stretch of production. He has now scored at least 20 points in 11 consecutive games dating back to early March. Over the past two weeks, he has been on fire, averaging 26.3 points per game on 52 percent shooting from the floor. To say he has found his groove is an understatement and for those lucky enough to have him on their fantasy roster, it's certainly been a fun couple of weeks.

Poole produced 26 points (9-23 FG, 5-13 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds and six assists across 40 minutes during Tuesday's 94-90 loss to the Magic.

Tuesday marked Poole's 10th straight game with at least 20 points and his fifth performance with at least five assists during this stretch. He'll need to continue stepping up for the Warriors in the absence of Stephen Curry (foot), who will be out for most of the rest of the regular season.

Poole finished with 29 points (10-20 FG, 6-13 3Pt, 3-4 FT), two rebounds, three assists, one block and two steals over 34 minutes during Wednesday's 110-88 loss to the Celtics.

Poole drilled six three-pointers o the way to a brilliant stat line. Poole has been the perfect antidote to a Stephen Curry (foot) absence, so it's no surprise that he stepped up in the backcourt after Curry went down in the first half. If Curry misses extended time, Poole immediately becomes a top-shelf fantasy streamer.

Poole was nominated for the Player of the Week award for games between March 7 and March 13, and he continues to play at a very high level with Andrew Wiggins (illness) being out. He's now scored at least 20 points in seven games in a row, averaging 24.1 points while shooting 59.4 percent from the field and 54.7 percent from deep in that span. Those numbers are not sustainable going forward, but fantasy managers should ride Poole's hot hand as long as they can.

Poole amassed 30 points (9-16 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 7-7 FT), six rebounds, five assists and one steal in 35 minutes during Saturday's 122-109 win over the Bucks.

With Stephen Curry having a rare off night by scoring only eight points, the Warriors needed someone else to step up in the backcourt and Poole answered the call. The third-year guard has scored at least 30 points in each of his last two starts and has delivered at least 20 in six straight games as he bounces between the first and second units, averaging 24.8 points, 5.0 assists, 4.7 threes, 3.5 boards and 1.2 steals over that stretch.

Poole will start for the Warriors against Milwaukee on Saturday, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.

Poole will replace Moses Moody -- who started each of Golden State's previous three games -- in the lineup against the defending champion Bucks. This marks the first time that the Warriors will start each of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Poole in the same contest. Poole is averaging 18.7 points, 3.6 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 2.9 three-pointers as a starter this season.

Poole provided 21 points (8-13 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds and seven assists in 34 minutes during Thursday's 113-102 win over the Nuggets.

Poole continues to see plenty of playing time off the bench, as he logged more minutes than any Warrior aside from Stephen Curry against Denver. The third-year guard earned the heavy load with another efficient and productive scoring effort that saw him score 20-plus points for the fifth straight game. Over that stretch, Poole is averaging 23.8 points, 5.0 assists, 3.0 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 4.6 three-pointers. Even in a reserve role, he is making a strong impact for fantasy managers who roster him.

Poole racked up 20 points (8-13 FG, 4-6 3Pt), three rebounds, four assists and two steals in 30 minutes during Tuesday's 112-97 win over the Clippers.

The return of multiple Warriors didn't hurt Poole's numbers one bit. He's enjoying a tremendous five-game run, averaging 22 points, 4.2 assists, 2.4 rebounds and 1.2 steals over that span. These numbers make him fantasy-relevant despite his status in the second unit.

Poole will come off the bench Tuesday against the Clippers, Kendra Andrews of ESPN.com reports.

With the Warriors' regulars back in the fold, Poole will resume his usual bench role. In his past five games as a reserve, he's averaged 15.4 points, 3.4 assists and 2.8 rebounds in 26.0 minutes.

Golden State held back four starters Monday, giving Poole an opportunity to take up the lead role on offense. The Warriors will likely have their usual starting lineup intact for Tuesday's home game against the Clippers, so Poole should drop back to a reserve role; however, he's shown that he can be productive in any capacity during this year's breakout campaign.

Nonetheless, Poole continues to be the most reliable contribute off the bench in Golden State.

Poole played only 19 minutes in the loss, well down from what he has been doing of late. When probed following the game, head coach Steve Kerr said it was simply because Poole was not playing well. This was certainly a shame given the fact Poole had a nice opportunity to fire up with Klay Thompson sidelined due to an illness. Prior to this game, Poole has been playing well in his sixth-man role and he remains a 12-team worthy target.

Poole ended with 18 points (5-14 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds, three assists and one steal over 32 minutes during Wednesday's 111-85 loss to the Jazz.

Poole got the start with Klay Thompson (rest) out of action, and he led Golden State in scoring in the lopsided loss. The third-year guard wasn't particularly efficient as a shooter, though he did tie for the team lead with three triples. Poole has started only twice over his past eight games, but he is averaging nearly 30 minutes per contest over that span and is producing enough on a near-nightly basis to remain fantasy-relevant.

Poole will start Wednesday's game against Utah, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.

Poole is taking the place of Klay Thompson (rest) in the starting five. This will be Poole's 35th start of the season, and in those games, the guard averaged 18.4 points, 3.5 assists and 3.3 rebounds.

Poole registered 11 points (5-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt), eight rebounds, eight assists and two steals over 30 minutes during Monday's 110-98 victory over the Thunder.

Poole put up only eight shots against the Thunder, but he was efficient with five makes. Even more promisingly, the third-year guard filled out his stat sheet with eight dimes and eight boards (both second on the team to Stephen Curry) while collecting a pair of steals. Poole ranked third on the Warriors with 30 minutes in the victory, and he has logged at least 24 minutes in each of his past 10 contests. Though he has mainly played as a reserve since Klay Thompson returned to action, Poole has produced well enough over that time (15.3 points, 3.2 assists, 2.7 rebounds, 2.2 three-pointers over 15 games) to hold fantasy value in most formats.

Poole got the starting nod considering the Warriors were extremely shorthanded, and he carried the team offensively against one of the weakest teams in the Western Conference. Don't expect Poole to remain in the starting lineup for an extended stretch, however, as Stephen Curry (toe) and/or Klay Thompson (rest) could return to the starting five against Sacramento as soon as Thursday.

Poole will start Tuesday's matchup against the Spurs, Kendra Andrews of ESPN.com reports.

Aside from the poor field-goal percentage, Poole turned in his third straight quality outing off the bench in a row since Klay Thompson (knee) returned to the starting five following a two-game absence.
