Thybulle's three-point shot has been a revelation in Portland, but fantasy managers should brace for regression at some point. Either way, the fourth-year pro's sizable role and defensive production makes him a quality stream option in category leagues.

Thybulle registered eight points (3-6 FG, 2-5 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals across 36 minutes before fouling out of Sunday's 131-114 win over Houston.

Thybulle has started all four games since being traded to Portland and is averaging 7.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.0 blocks in 29.8 minutes per game. During that stretch, he's shooting 45.8 percent from the field and 43.8 percent from deep. This is all very positive for the fourth-year forward, who saw his role dramatically dip in Philadelphia before being traded, but what puts Thybulle on fantasy radars is his strong production in the defensive categories. O.G. Anunoby currently leads the league with 2.0 steals per game, so if Thybulle can continue at his current pace, he may be one of the best streaming options for steals in category leagues during the fantasy playoffs.

Thybulle provided two points (1-4 FG, 0-3 3Pt), four steals, one rebound and one assist in 30 minutes in Tuesday's 126-101 loss to the Wizards.

Predictably, Thybulle's output on the offensive end took a step back in the second leg of the back-to-back set after he erupted for 14 points on 4-for-6 shooting from three-point range in his Trail Blazers debut Monday against the Lakers. Fantasy managers should take whatever they get from Thybulle in the scoring column as a bonus moving forward, but as long as he can hold down a 25-plus-minute role, he'll have some appeal as a specialist in the two defensive categories. On a per-36-minute basis, Thybulle has averaged 2.7 steals and 1.5 blocks for his career.

Thybulle ended with 14 points (5-9 FG, 4-6 3Pt), six rebounds, two assists, three blocks and one steal in 26 minutes during Monday's 127-115 win over the Lakers.

Thybulle played his first game for Portland since the team acquired him in a trade last week, and he got a starting assignment with Jerami Grant out with a concussion. While Thybulle's bread and butter is undoubtedly his defense, the former 76er unexpectedly showed off his shooting touch, drilling a campaign-high four three-pointers and finishing with double-digit points for just the fourth time this season. The fourth-year pro didn't let down on defense either, swatting three shots and notching one theft. Thybulle isn't likely to put up these type of offensive numbers on a frequent basis, as he's yet to average more than 5.7 points per game in any professional campaign.

Thybulle is starting in his Portland debut Monday night against the Lakers, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports.

Thybulle is set to make his first appearance as a Trail Blazer, and it'll be in a starting role due to the absence of Jerami Grant (concussion). The Washington product averaged 3.5 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.4 steals in his last 10 contests with Philadelphia.

Unless the 76ers decide to clear the way for Thybulle to play north of 20 minutes per game, he won't be someone who warrants much attention outside of deeper leagues.

Thybulle moved into the starting five in place of the injured De'Anthony Melton (back) and came through with an excellent shooting performance, but he didn't provide any defensive stats, which was likely the main reason any fantasy managers might have streamed him Tuesday. After averaging at least one block and steal per game over the previous two seasons, the 25-year-old is down to 0.2 blocks and 0.8 steals per contest in 2022-23.

Thybulle will start Tuesday's game versus the Kings.

Thybulle gets the spot start Tuesday with De'Anthony Melton (back) and Tyrese Maxey (foot) unable to take the floor. He figures to see additional minutes in the contest, averaging just over 24 minutes per game in his three starts this season.

With Thybulle unavailable, Danny Green and Georges Niang will likely pick up additional minutes.

The 76ers were able to keep this under wraps for almost the entire season, but some red flags were raised when Thybulle was listed as "ineligible" for a game at Toronto this past Thursday. As the higher seed, Philly will get Games 1, 2, 5 and 7 at home, but Thybulle projects to be eligible for Games 3, 4 and 6, should the series extend that far.

Thybulle's production can vary widely from game-to-game, but on balance he's one of the league's most dependable sources of blocks and steals. Over his last five games, he's averaging 2.0 steals and 1.0 blocks despite posting zero blocks/steals in last Monday's win over Miami.

Thybulle totaled 12 points (4-6 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, four blocks and three steals in 34 minutes during Sunday's 93-88 loss to the Raptors.

Thybulle's defensive production has been a little spotty of late, by his standards, but he demonstrated once again why he's one of the most unique players in fantasy basketball. Now in his third NBA season, Thybulle is on course to average a career-best 2.9 combined steals and blocks per game. The wing has recorded at least three steals in 19 of his 55 appearances.

Thybulle ended with nine points (4-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt), five rebounds, three assists, two blocks and six steals over 26 minutes during Monday's 114-110 loss to the Nuggets.

Thybulle scored more Monday night than he had in his last two contests combined, as he'd been held to just four total points over that stretch. It was also a positive sign to see the Washington product get involved on the glass, as he's not typically one to pull down more than a few boards. Thybulle has been a somewhat consistent source of blocks for fantasy managers of late, swatting a shot in five of his last seven matchups.

Thybulle finished with 10 points (4-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt), three blocks, two assists and one rebound across 25 minutes Wednesday in the 76ers' 123-108 win over the Knicks.

While the 10 points were a nice bonus, Thybulle did exactly what fantasy managers wanted from him in Wednesday in providing defensive stats. After two straight games of three steals, Thybulle switched it up and provided more of an impact in protecting the rim and contesting shots as the 76ers cruised to a comfortable win. With averages of 1.8 steals and 1.1 blocks per game for the season, Thybulle should remain a high-end asset in both areas the rest of the way.

Thybulle paid dividends for those that streamed him for steals over the weekend, as the third-year forward delivered six thefts between blowout wins against the Timberwolves and Knicks. The scoring and rebounding production he delivered Sunday are on the higher end of what he typically offers, but Thybulle should be viewed as an elite source of defensive stats so long as he continues to handle a 25-plus-minute role. Though he came up empty in the blocks category in the past two games, he's still averaging 1.0 per game on the season.

Unfortunately, his offensive game has not taken the steps forward we were hoping to see, capping his overall appeal in competitive leagues. Looking ahead, it's safe to say he will remain either an elite streaming option or a deeper league difference-maker.
