Turner had one of his best offensive performances of the year Saturday night, eclipsing the 30-point mark for the first time since November. The former Texas Longhorn is having a fantastic year overall, averaging career highs in points (16.7), rebounds (7.8) and field-goal percentage (54.8).

For now, simply sit back and enjoy the ride.

Turner finished with his seventh double-double of the campaign while also recording a season-high mark in assists.

Turner is shooting 64.5 percent from the field across his last seven contests, en route to 20.0 points per game. The 26-year-old is receiving consistent usage and paying elite dividends in scoring, rebounding and shot blocking.

Turner closed with 31 points (12-17 FG, 7-9 3Pt), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and four steals across 33 minutes during Wednesday's 115-101 loss to the Timberwolves.

While Turner did not score in the first quarter, he still managed to score 31 points and make seven three-pointers. It was the first time this season and second time in his career that he made more than five threes in a game. It's been an impressive start to the season for the 26-year-old as he's setting personal bests in points, shooting percentage, three-point percentage, free-throw shooting and rebounds all while blocking 2.8 shots per game.

Turner totaled 20 points (8-13 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 11 rebounds, one block and one steal in 34 minutes during Saturday's 114-113 victory over the Magic.

Turner had a quiet first quarter before grabbing seven rebounds in the second, along with a steal, a block and six points on 2-of-4 shooting from the field. The Pacers center added another 11 points over the final two quarters on 5-of-8 shooting, but was quiet on the defensive end with just three second-half rebounds. He tied Bol Bol with a game-high 11 boards on the night and Turner has now recorded a double-double in five of his last six contests. He also has at least one block in every game this season.

Turner posted 20 points (7-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists, three blocks and one steal over 31 minutes during Wednesday's 125-113 win over the Hornets.

Turner scored 16 of his 20 points in the first half on 6-of-9 shooting from the field to go along with seven rebounds. He was quiet after that outside of his two blocks on Kelly Oubre in the third quarter, going just 1-of-1 from the field while also making both of his free-throws for four second-half points. Turner has now recorded a double-double in four consecutive games while also reaching the 20-point mark in two of those contests.

Turner only has two double-doubles on the season, and while he's never an elite presence on the glass, he's shown improvement in that department while also looking like his productive self in the scoring and shot-blocking categories. The consistency on a game-to-game basis is still missing, but he's posting career-best numbers in the early stages of the season. Through eight games, the big man is averaging 18.4 points, 8.0 rebounds and 3.4 blocks per game while shooting 50 percent from the field.

While he's not expected to deliver these numbers on a game-to-game basis going forward, there's no question Turner will be one of Indiana's go-to players as long as he's able to remain healthy.

Despite the constant trade rumors, Turner looks set to start the season as the starting center for the Pacers. Many have shown hesitation when it comes to drafting him thus far, something that has resulted in many GMs snapping up a bargain in the middle rounds. Given the lack of elite shot-blockers this season, Turner certainly makes sense as a solid option in the third or fourth round.

That said, the Pacers still have two developmental centers on the roster in recent first-round picks Isaiah Jackson and Goga Bitadze (foot) on the books for 2022-23, so Turner might not be the core piece for Indiana that he once was.

Ultimately, shooting 19.4 percent from deep and 65.0 percent from the free-throw line as a team Wednesday were averages too difficult to overcome for Indianapolis. Another tough task awaits when the Suns come to town Friday.

With nine -double-doubles on the season, Turner's synergy with Domanta sSabonis is much-improved from seasons past, as both big men have shown the ability to amass decent totals together. While the veteran's numbers have remained somewhat consistent over his seven-year career, the correlation between him and Sabonis has eased somewhat, allowing both players to have a powerful fantasy impact.

Turner has also recorded multiple blocks in three straight games and in eight of his last nine, so he's a player that can be counted to produce on both ends of the court -- even if his scoring numbers are not very high.

His offensive game continues to be a bit inconsistent, but Turner has still found a way to contribute -- he has scored in double digits in four of his last six appearances.

Turner continued his phenomenal play on defense and has now recorded 3-plus blocks in five consecutive games. The center hasn't been great offensively, averaging just 9.9 points in the nine games he's played since the All-Star break. His inconsistency on offense hasn't affected his production on defense, as he is averaging 4.1 blocks over that same stretch and is still the NBA's leading shot blocker at 3.5 per game this season.

Turner's upside would be greatly benefited if he can find some sort of consistency on offense, but he has been doing enough defensively to still provide value -- especially in category-based leagues -- even when his offensive game abandons him, something that has happened quite often with Turner this season. The big man has scored nine or fewer points in four of his last six contests.

The 24-year-old extended his block streak to 33 games and has been one of the most dominant defenders through the first half of the season. Turner delivered his third straight efficient outing, averaging 15.0 points while shooting 57 percent from the field in that span. Turner should continue providing elite blocks along with modest points, rebounds, three-pointers and steals for fantasy teams the rest of the way.

Nevertheless, Turner still has a tendency to bite on pump fakes as well as be overly aggressive with his hands at times. With that being said, he was averaging a career-low 2.5 fouls per game prior to this one. He'll look to bounce back during Monday's matchup versus the Jazz.
