Tomlin won't start against the Warriors on Saturday.

With Darius Garland (toe) back in action, Tomlin will slide to the second unit against Golden State. Over his last five outings off the bench, the second-year forward has averaged 7.8 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks across 21.6 minutes per game.

Tomlin is in the starting lineup for Friday's game versus the Spurs, Serena Winters of FanDuel Sports Network Ohio reports.

Joining Tomlin in the starting unit for Friday's game will be Donovan Mitchell, Jaylon Tyson, De'Andre Hunter and Evan Mobley. In Tomlin's previous start this season, he finished with 10 points and two rebounds over 20 minutes.

Tomlin registered six points (2-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, one assist, four blocks and two steals in 27 minutes during Monday's 135-119 win over the Pacers.

Tomlin was a force defensively for Cleveland, recording a season-high four blocks and tying his season high in steals Monday. Tomlin has risen to the occasion and has become one of Cleveland's main second unit contributors despite being on a two-way contract, averaging 7.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, 0.5 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.0 blocks in his last 11 games.

Tomlin contributed 14 points (6-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt), four rebounds and one steal in 32 minutes during Monday's 110-99 loss to the Raptors.

Tomlin recorded a season high in minutes Monday, primarily due to the slew of injuries that held out a lot of Cleveland's key contributors. When the team inevitably gets healthier, it is unclear whether Tomlin will still have a role, but he has done well with the opportunity, averaging 8.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.8 blocks across 19.5 minutes in his last eight games.

Tomlin will return to the bench for Friday's game against the Pacers, Spencer Davies of SI.com reports.

Jaylon Tyson is back and starting, so Tomlin will shift to the second unit and his minutes will dip. As a reserve this season, Tomlin owns averages of 6.2 points and 3.3 rebounds per game.

Tomlin is part of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockets, Serena Winters of FanDuel Sports Network Ohio reports.

Tomlin has stepped into a larger role over the last four games due to the absences of Darius Garland (toe) and Jaylon Tyson (concussion). Now, with Sam Merrill (hand) out, Tomlin will join the first unit. The two-way forward is averaging 7.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks across 17.6 minutes during his last four outings.

Tomlin posted 18 points (8-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and two steals over 22 minutes during Cleveland's 126-113 loss to Toronto on Thursday.

Tomlin was a healthy DNP for nine of the first 11 games of the regular season, but he saw extended playing time Wednesday against the Heat due to the absences of Donovan Mitchell (rest), Evan Mobley (rest), Darius Garland (toe) and Jaylon Tyson (concussion). Even with Mitchell and Mobley returning Thursday, Tomlin still saw meaningful minutes off the bench, and he ended up finishing as the Cavaliers' second-leading scorer behind Donovan Mitchell (31). Tomlin's recent outings could earn him a more consistent role in the Cavaliers' rotation, especially for as long as Tyson is sidelined.

Tomlin totaled nine points (2-7 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals in 18 minutes during Wednesday's 130-116 win over the Heat.

The absence of Donovan Mitchell (rest), Evan Mobley (rest), Darius Garland (toe) and Jaylon Tyson (concussion) allowed Tomlin to triple his previous high in minutes. However, he should return to the fringe of the rotation with Mobley and Mitchell returning to action Thursday.

Tomlin racked up 17 points (6-21 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, three steals and two assists across 24 minutes in Saturday's 82-71 Summer League loss to the Warriors.

Tomlin finished as Cleveland's leading scorer, though he struggled with efficiency. The 24-year-old also matched the team-high mark in steals. The Memphis product landed a 10-day contract with Cleveland in February and later signed a two-year, two-way contract with the team in March. He averaged 7.2 points and 4.2 rebounds in 12.6 minutes per game over five regular-season appearances (one start) with the parent club.

Tomlin closed with 18 points (7-17 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 12 rebounds, three assists, one steal and two blocks in 29 minutes during Wednesday's 96-84 Summer League loss to the Kings.

A whopping 10 of Tomlin's boards came on the offensive side of the floor, and he even produced a full stat line Wednesday. The two-way player does give the Cavaliers some additional frontcourt depth, but he figures to spend most of his time in the G League in 2025-26 while Jarrett Allen, Evan Mobley and Larry Nance are all healthy.

Tomlin posted 22 points (9-12 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT), 13 rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block across 28 minutes in Saturday's 93-83 Summer League win over the Bucks.

Tomlin posted game highs in points and rebounds in an efficient outing Saturday. The 24-year-old big man has been impressive through two Summer League appearances, totaling 52 points, 18 rebounds, six assists and three steals over 55 minutes. Tomlin appeared in five regular-season games (one start) for Cleveland in 2024-25, averaging 7.2 points and 4.2 rebounds in 12.6 minutes per game.

Tomlin racked up 30 points (12-16 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal across 27 minutes in Thursday's 116-115 Summer League loss to the Pacers.

Tomlin led all scorers in Thursday's game with an efficient 30 points, going a perfect 12-for-12 on two-point attempts. He saw limited action as a rookie during the 2024-25 regular season, appearing in just five games for the Cavaliers, but made the most of his lone start April 13 against the Pacers, posting 24 points and 12 rebounds in 47 minutes.

Tomlin fouled out of Sunday's 126-118 double-overtime loss to the Pacers after recording 24 points (8-21 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 6-8 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists and one block in 47 minutes.

Making just the fifth appearance of his rookie campaign, Tomlin set multiple career highs with the Cavaliers sitting most of their top rotational players. Tomlin has spent the bulk of his time in the G League with the Cleveland Charge this season, averaging 20.7 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.2 steals, 1.7 blocks and 1.9 three-pointers.

Tomlin is in Cleveland's starting lineup against Indiana on Sunday.

With Cleveland resting several players for the regular-season finale, Tomlin will make his first NBA start Sunday alongside Jarrett Allen and Jaylon Tyson in the frontcourt. Tomlin has averaged just 4.3 minutes per game across four outings for the Cavaliers this season but should get an extended run against the Pacers.

Tomlin is expected to sign a two-way contract with the Cavaliers, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reports.

Tomlin recently signed a 10-day contract with Cleveland, but the team is happy enough with what he's shown that will sign him to a two-way deal. That said, he's likely to see most of his playing time with the Charge in the G League, and not with the Cavaliers at the NBA level.

Tomlin supplied five points (2-4 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT) and three rebounds across seven minutes during Friday's 142-105 victory over the Knicks. Prior to Friday's contest, the Cavaliers assigned and subsequently recalled Tomlin from the G League's Cleveland Charge.

Tomlin has now made two straight appearances for the Cavaliers since joining on a 10-day contract. However, if Tomlin is to receive significant playing time, it will most likely come in the G League.

The Cavaliers already have some familiarity with the undrafted rookie out of Memphis, who joined the club for the Las Vegas Summer League and then signed an Exhibit 10 deal with Cleveland in September before being waived a day later. He's spent the entire 2024-25 campaign with in the G League with the Cavaliers' affiliate, the Cleveland Charge, averaging 15.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.5 three-pointers, 1.4 blocks and 0.7 steals in 28.6 minutes per game while shooting 54.6 percent from the field over 35 appearances. The 6-foot-10, 210-pound big man will add depth to the frontcourt but is unlikely to be a factor in the Cavaliers rotation.

The Cavaliers waived Tomlin on Tuesday.

Tomlin had joined Cleveland on an Exhibit 10 contract earlier this offseason. The Cavaliers retain Tomlin's G League rights, so he'll presumably join the Cleveland Charge to begin the 2024-25 campaign.
