Alexander-Walker logged zero points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and two rebounds over nine minutes during Sunday's 110-102 victory over the Clippers.

Alexander-Walker has played fewer than 10 minutes in six of his seven appearances this season. Barring a trade of Mike Conley and/or Jordan Clarkson, Alexander-Walker will likely remain on the outskirts of Utah's rotation.

The Trail Blazers are expected to finalize a deal Tuesday to acquire Alexander-Walker, Josh Hart, Tomas Satoransky, Didi Louzada (knee), a future first-round pick and two future second-round picks from the Pelicans in exchange for CJ McCollum, Larry Nance (knee) and Tony Snell, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

A popular sleeper heading into fantasy drafts this season, Alexander-Walker opened the season in a starting role for New Orleans, but a string of wretched shooting performances resulted in a move to the second unit. He came off the bench in 31 of his last 32 appearances and averaged 11.8 points, 2.9 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 1.8 three-pointers in 24.2 minutes per contest, but Alexander-Walker still only shot 37.6 percent from the field and 69.1 percent from the free-throw line. Though the 23-year-old hasn't provided much evidence that he's worthy of a big-minute role at the NBA level, the rebuilding Trail Blazers will likely give him an extended look over the final few months of the season to see if he's worthy of including in their long-term nucleus. The 2019 first-round pick is under contract through next season after the Pelicans exercised his $5.01 million team option for 2022-23 in October.

Alexander-Walker ended with 18 points (5-14 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 6-6 FT), three rebounds, four assists and one block over 34 minutes during Friday's 116-105 loss to the Nuggets.

With Josh Hart (ankle) back in the action, Alexander-Walker was relegated to the bench. However, Brandon Ingram (ankle) was still sidelined, so he still garnered a sizable role as a reserve. He was inefficient from the field, but his scoring production was salvaged by six trips to the free-throw line. Devonte' Graham had to leave the contest in the fourth quarter, so if he's forced to miss any time, Alexander-Walker could be in line for increased run moving forward.

Back in action after a three-game absence, Alexander-Walker didn't look to have a playing-time restriction in his return to the lineup. Brandon Ingram (Achilles) could rejoin the Pelicans' starting five as soon as Monday's game against the Jazz, but his impending return is likely a greater threat to Garrett Temple's playing time than Alexander-Walker's. Before entering the protocols, Alexander-Walker had averaged 25.6 minutes per game since exiting the starting five and moving into a bench role Nov. 22.

The 2019 first-rounder has a clear knack for scoring, but he's shooting just 36.4 percent from the field on the year, including a disappointing 30.9 percent from deep. A year ago, Alexander-Walker was a 34.7 percent three-point shooter. For now, he's probably best left on waivers in most roto leagues.

Out of nowhere, Alexander-Walker finally found his rhythm, torching the Thunder with a career-high scoring night. He put the icing on the cake by also recording a double-double while also filling up the boxscore. All things considered, this could very well be the best game of the season for the third-year star and so selling high might be something to consider.

Alexander-Walker has struggled to take a leap in year 3. After shooting 41.9 percent from the field on 10.0 field goals per game last season, he is shooting 35.5 percent on 15.4 shots per game this campaign. Held back by knocking down just 25.3 percent of his threes, perhaps the looming return of Brandon Ingram (hip) will free up better opportunities for Alexander-Walker.

Alexander-Walker has scored in double figures in six of seven games thus far, but he's struggled to do so efficiently, having shot under 50 percent form the field in each of his last six outings. The good news for fantasy owners is that he continues to see starter's minutes next to Devonte' Graham in the backcourt, but Alexander-Walker's field goal percentage is a glaring minus. Saturday marked the first time this season that he didn't record a steal or block.

Alexander-Walker tallied 14 points (6-24 FG, 2-13 3Pt), 14 rebounds, two assists and two steals in 36 minutes during Saturday's 96-89 loss to the Timberwolves.

Alexander-Walker struggled mightily from the field, shooting a woeful 25 percent on 24 shots. However; he did manage to pull down a career-high 14 rebounds while recording another two defensive counters. He appears as though he is locked into heavy minutes and has a green light to shoot the ball. He is going to be a standard league asset the rest of the way but the efficiency could be a problam.

Alexander-Walker recorded 15 points (4-9 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, four steals, two blocks and one assist across 32 minutes during a 128-112 loss Friday at Chicago.

Though his points tally was pedestrian, Alexander-Walker's multiple steals and blocks were excellent. He could remain a valuable player if unable to score consistently. The guard averaged 2.2 steals-plus-blocks across his last 17 games.

Alexander-Walker had 23 points (9-16 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, an assist, a steal and a block across 34 minutes in Wednesday's loss against the Sixers.

Alexander-Walker earned the starting role to begin the season and lived up to the expectations, as he was the team's second-best scorer behind Brandon Ingram, who finished with 25 points. Expect the former Virginia Tech standout to handle a big scoring load to begin the season, as he could easily operate as the team's second-best offensive option until Zion Williamson (foot) is cleared to return.

Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry said Monday that Alexander-Walker (wrist) is completely healthy and will be ready to go for the resumption of the 2019-20 season in Orlando, Christian Clark of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.

Alexander-Walker suffered a hairline fracture of his right wrist in early March and was ruled out indefinitely, but the NBA's four-month shutdown afforded the rookie guard ample recovery time.
