Despite maintaining a bench role, the 30-year-old has had consistent playing time and has been a reliable scorer for the Clippers.

Powell registered 20 points (7-13 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 2-6 FT), three assists and two rebounds over 31 minutes in Sunday's 105-101 loss to the Grizzlies.

His 20 points Sunday ties a season-high and was the second most on the team behind Paul George (26 points). Powell played just 11 minutes against the Mavericks on Friday, but played 31 minutes in Sunday's game and he's often been the first man off the bench for the Clippers this season.

With James Harden in town, Powell is inevitably going to lose some minutes and touches. He will still be a key part of the second unit, however, and he's likely to have streaming value when the stars in Los Angeles have their maintenance days.

Powell also led the team in three pointers made with four and has now scored over 25 points in back-to-back contests, shooting 59.2 percent from the floor over that brief stretch.

Powell posted 27 points (7-11 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 10-10 FT), four rebounds, four assists and two steals over 33 minutes during Tuesday's 108-103 victory over Chicago.

Powell turned things around in the victory, going off to the tune of 27 points including a perfect 10-of-10 from the line. After a rough week, it was nice to see Powell back doing what he does best. His role feels relatively secure, even if he does continue to come off the bench. His production can ebb and flow but when all is said and done, he remains a viable backend 12-team asset, especially for anyone simply needing points and threes.

His fantasy value is almost entirely reliant on his scoring numbers. When his shot isn't falling, he has very little to fall back on, making him a tough player to roster with any confidence.

Powell is averaging 27.2 minutes per game during the month of January.

Powell moved back to the bench with the return of Kawhi Leonard to the starting unit, but the versatile forward had an impressive performance once again. The former UCLA standout has scored in double digits in nine games in a row and is averaging 20.3 points per contest in that span, so he remains extremely valuable across all formats despite his regular bench role.

Powell's 27 points marked his third-best scoring total of the season. Since missing 10 games, his scoring numbers have jumped around a bit, but he's still managed to average 16.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists over the last 11 games.

Powell finished Friday's 128-115 loss to Minnesota with 21 points (9-14 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 0-1 FT), six rebounds and two steals across 25 minutes.

Powell dropped in a team-high 21 points in the loss, picking up the offensive slack with both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George resting on the second night of a back-to-back. Since returning from injury, Powell has barely been a top-150 player, averaging 16.0 points per game on 52.6 percent shooting. Unfortunately, he offers very little outside of scoring, making him a stream candidate in 12-team formats, as opposed to a must-roster talent.

It's unclear if this is going to be a continuing trend, but at the very least, it should keep DFS players from considering a two-player stack of Covington and Powell.

Powell emerged as a valuable asset while Toronto dealt with an onslaught of COVID-19-related absences and injuries, and the UCLA product's role as a starter is guaranteed as the team struggles to get out of the basement in the East. Toronto's infrastructure could get shaken up in the coming days, and if the trade rumors surrounding Kyle Lowry come to pass, expect Powell and the rest of Toronto's playmakers to receive a boost in production.

He is rolling right now and has been a top-20 player over the last month. It appears they are going to run with Powell in the starting lineup, even when the team is fully healthy. This bodes well for his immediate future and although we shouldn't expect scoring like this every night, he should be able to flirt with top-50 value the rest of the way.

Powell continued his impressive run lately and recored his second straight 30-point performance, as the guard highly benefited offensively with Fred VanVleet absent due to COVID-19 protocols. Since entering the starting lineup permanently on Jan. 22, Powell is averaging 22.3 points while shooting a fantastic 44.8 percent from three-point range entering Wednesday's outing. The UCLA product will look to keep things rolling when the Raptors travel to Boston on Thursday.

Powell and the Raptors won't play the Bulls on Sunday after the game was postponed due to positive COVID-19 test results and ongoing contact tracing among Toronto players and staff, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Toronto previously played Friday against Houston without head coach Nick Nurse and five of his assistants due to the NBA's health and safety protocols, but Pascal Siakam was the only player placed in the protocol at that time. The guard had really picked up his scoring because of an increased opportunity the last four games, averaging a team-high 23.7 points, but should return to scoring in the teens more consistently now with Lowry back. Powell is averaging a career-high 17.3 points per game this season and has also provided fantasy managers with a handful of rebounds, assists and steals per game.

Powell registered 24 points (9-19 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six assists, four rebounds and three steals across 35 minutes in Tuesday's loss against the 76ers.

Powell was coming off a subpar performance Sunday when he finished with only 11 points, but he bounced back admirably and led the Raptors in this one. He's now scored at least 24 points in three of his last four contests while shooting 50.8 percent from the field in that stretch, so the off day turned out to be nothing more than that for the UCLA product.

Powell has topped the 20-point mark in 11 of his last 14 games and is averaging a career-high 17.3 points and 2.5 treys on the campaign.

Powell has shot 56.3 percent from the field over his last two starts, but the Raptors have elected to shake up the starting five for Monday's contest.

The 27-year-old shooting guard has been inconsistent and mostly bad this year so far with his minutes fluctuating from game to game. Powell is averaging 8.5 points on just 30.8 percent shooting, 1.5 rebounds, 0.7 assists, 1.5 threes and 1.2 steals across 22.2 minutes per game so far.

Powell will come off the bench Saturday against the Pelicans.

Powell's status had been in limbo for a couple of days as the Raptors awaited word on contact tracing related to the coronavirus. In the end, Powell has been cleared to play and projects to fill a significant role off the bench. Last season, Powell turned in career-highs in minutes, points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, and three-pointers per game, as well field goal percentage and free throw percentage.

Head coach Nick Nurse said Powell's status for Wednesday's season opener versus the Pelicans remains uncertain while the Raptors wait for the swingman to clear the NBA's COVID-19 protocol, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports.

Nurse noted that Powell didn't necessarily test positive for COVID-19, as he may have just been deemed a close contact of an infected person. If Powell ends up sitting out the opener, the Raptors would likely turn to Matt Thomas, DeAndre' Bembry and Terence Davis as their primary reserve wings behind starters Fred VanVleet and OG Anunoby.

Powell had 16 points (6-15 FG, 4-11 3PT) off the bench in Monday's Game 5 loss to Boston.

Powell was one of the only Raptors to offer much on the offensive end in Game 5, as Toronto fell behind early and was never able to claw its way back into the game. Powell's 16 points marked his highest scoring total of the series, and his most in any game since he went for 29 in Game 4 against the Nets.

Powell compiled 29 points (9-14 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 6-6 FT), five rebounds, two steals, an assist and a blocked shot across 24 minutes in Sunday's 150-122 win over the Nets in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

Powell faced little resistance from the Nets as he deftly stroked in threes and slashed into the paint with relative ease. The Raptors came into the game with some question marks about how long their starters would stay on the floor. Powell and the rest of the bench contributed 100 of the team's 150 points. The 2019 champs are dialed in for the playoffs and will run their starters for 30-35 minutes. Barring a second-round blowout or injury, Powell will pop with short bursts of production but won't show up with totals like these. If his salary stays low, he could still provide some value in DFS formats.

Powell had 24 points (11-17 FG, 1-6 3PT, 1-2 FT) and six rebounds in Wednesday's Game 2 win over Brooklyn.

On an afternoon when the Raptors shot poorly from the field (43.7%) and from three (25.7%) as a team, Powell was the saving grace off the bench. He converted 10-of-11 attempts from two-point range, while adding two assists and a steal in 32 minutes.

Powell registered 15 points (6-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt), six rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 23 minutes during Friday's win over the Nuggets.

Powell got the start at small forward and posted a strong effort on both ends of the court ,and that has been a trend for him all season long. Powell has started nine of Toronto's last 14 regular season games dating back to Feb. 28 and should have a sizable role -- either starting or off the bench -- for Toronto during the playoffs.

Powell finished with 21 points (7-13 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 3-5 FT), eight boards, one assist, three blocks and two steals in 27 minutes of a 114-106 win against Milwaukee on Monday.

Powell was on from deep in the contest while also grabbing a season-high eight boards in the contest against the top seed in the Eastern Conference. The performance was Powell's strongest since the restart, aided in part by both teams sitting key players, but the UCLA product showed he's not afraid of stepping up when his number is called. He'll face the 76ers on Wednesday.

Powell totaled 11 points (4-11 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five rebounds and one steal in 29 minutes during Friday's 122-100 loss to Boston.

Powell continues to be one of the more disappointing players thus far, turning in another underwhelming performance. After a breakout season, Powell was expected to regress somewhat, with the Raptors getting back to full strength. However, the drop-off has been more evident than we had hoped and he is certainly on the fringe when it comes to must-roster players.

Powell produced 14 points (6-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt), two rebounds and two assists across 22 minutes in Tuesday's 117-106 loss to the Suns.

Coach Nick Nurse will find it challenging to keep Powell on the bench after his success during the scrimmages. One look at his numbers before the shutdown shows that Powell was the offensive engine for the Raptors when they lost Fred VanVleet to injury. He's continued that run in a reserve role in Orlando and will continue to be the first man up with the second unit.

Powell recorded 12 points (5-12 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, two assists and three steals across 18 minutes in Friday's 94-83 scrimmage win over the Rockets in Orlando.

After missing nine games due to an ankle injury, Powell started in five consecutive games and averaged 28 points per game before play halted in March. Although he was Fred VanVleet's replacement during that time, he could easily find himself on the wing in place of OG Anunoby, depending on the matchup. He's in the midst of his season as a pro, averaging 16.4 points per game with an average of 27 minutes on the floor.

Powell (ankle) noted his ankle is "fine" and he would have played Saturday, Mar. 14 if that game had happened, Eric Koreen of The Athletic reports.

Powell sustained an ankle injury prior to the shutdown of the season, but it was apparently minor. Powell also said that the Raptors sent him a hoop for practice, and the strength team sent him dumbbells and a workout plan.

Powell hasn't needed any time to rediscover his touch from the field over from distance since returning in late February from a nine-game absence due to a fractured finger. He's cleared 20 points in each of his first five appearances back in action, achieving that production on efficient 52.7/83.3/39.5 percent shooting splits from the field, free-throw line and three-point line, respectively. It's worth noting that Fred VanVleet (shoulder) has been out for all five of those games, so Powell's minutes and usage will likely take at least a slight hit once Toronto is back to full strength in the backcourt.

Powell's been electric since returning from a nine-game absence due to a finger injury. In the three games since, he's totaled 72 points, while hitting 25-of-51 shots from the field. The 26-year-old's having a resurgent season and has contributed career-bests of 15.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.0 threes, 1.7 assists and 1.2 steals in 29.0 minutes thus far.

Powell tallied 24 points (9-17 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds and one block in 40 minutes during Sunday's 133-118 loss to the Nuggets.

Powell has looked great since returning from injury, putting up back-to-back 20 point games. The Raptors are without a number of regular pieces which has certainly resulted in Powell being thrown straight into the fire. He is having a breakout season and even when the injured starters begin to return, Powell should have 12-team value.

The Raptors didn't ease Powell back in from a nine-game absence due to a fractured finger, as he handled a heavy minutes load and served as a key scorer for a Raptors squad that was without three key rotation players in Fred VanVleet (shoulder), Serge Ibaka (knee) and Marc Gasol (hamstring). Both VanVleet and Ibaka could be back Sunday in Denver, but Powell should still something in the neighborhood of a 25-minute role as the Raptors' sixth man. He's a viable option in 12-team leagues for fantasy managers looking for help in points and three-pointers.

With Fred VanVleet returning from a five-game absence due to a hamstring issue in this one, Powell will likely be pushed back down the Raptors' workload ladder a bit, but he's worth owning in most leagues due to his solid points, threes and percentages.

Powell has scored at least 20 in three straight games and in six of his last seven appearances. This is the seventh time this season he has hit at least four threes, and Powell has been incredibly impressive, maintaining career highs across every statistical category through 30 appearances in 2019-20.

Powell had a team-high 23 points (9-11 FG, 3-4 3PT, 2-2 FT) and also grabbed two rebounds in 27 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 130-121 win at the Thunder.
