Olivier-Maxence Prosper Injury News & Updates
Keep up with the latest injuries from the Jazz vs Grizzlies game on Friday with our National Basketball Association injury report.Nov 17, 2025
Absent from injury report
Prosper (quadriceps) is off the injury report for Tuesday's game against the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Prosper was unavailable for Saturday's game against Cleveland, but he appears to be recovered from a quadriceps issue. The forward has averaged 8.4 minutes per game over nine appearances in 2025-26, so he's not guaranteed to see meaningful playing time Tuesday.
Nov 15, 2025
Won't play Saturday
Prosper (quadriceps) is out against the Cavaliers on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Prosper is a fringe rotation player for the Grizzlies, so his absence doesn't carry a lot of fantasy implications. Plus, the Grizzlies are getting some reinforcements back Saturday in the form of Zach Edey.
Nov 14, 2025
Iffy for Saturday
Prosper is questionable for Saturday's game against the Cavaliers due to a left quad contusion.
ANALYSIS
Prosper played 26 minutes during Wednesday's blowout loss, but the third-year wing has picked up an injury since. A two-way player, Prosper had appeared in just three of the Grizzlies' previous eight games despite being healthy.
Nov 13, 2025
Logs 26 minutes in loss
Prosper closed with eight points (2-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one block in 26 minutes during Wednesday's 131-95 loss to the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
While it is likely Prosper only saw the court for an extended period of time due to the blowout status of the game, it is encouraging to see him take the court, especially with the Grizzlies dealing with the amount of injuries they have right now. Prosper will continue splitting time with the Grizzlies' G League affiliate, the Memphis Hustle.
Nov 3, 2025
Puts up six in loss
Prosper ended Sunday's 117-104 loss to the Raptors with six points (2-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and one steal across 12 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Despite being on a two-way contract, Prosper has seen the court for all but two games this season, but has had very limited playing time in those appearances. While he will likely split time with the Memphis Hustle of the G-League, Prosper is still a polarizing prospect and may be called up back to the Grizzlies in the event of injury.
Oct 18, 2025
Stuffs stat sheet in win
Prosper put up 11 points (3-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block over 24 minutes in Friday's 141-125 preseason win over MIami.
ANALYSIS
Prosper is on a two-way contract with the Grizzlies and will likely be with the team's G-League affiliate, the Memphis Hustle, to begin the season. However, his encouraging performance in the preseason finale could result in him being called up if the team wants to shake up their rotational depth later on in the season.

Joins Memphis on two-way deal
Prosper (wrist) signed a two-way contract with the Grizzlies on Thursday, ESPN's Shams Charania reports.
ANALYSIS
The Mavericks were forced to let go of Prosper in order to sign Dante Exum. Charania notes that Prosper generated a lot of interest elsewhere before he ultimately agreed to join the Grizzlies. Because he's on a two-way deal, Prosper could spend a lot of time with the Memphis Hustle in the G League to open the season.
Aug 29, 2025
Being cut loose by Dallas
The Mavericks are waiving Prosper (wrist), Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Prosper missed the final month of last season after undergoing surgery for a right wrist injury, and he'll now look to find a home elsewhere ahead of the 2025-26 season. It's unclear how far along he is in his rehab, which could impact his value prior to training camp. After the calendar flipped to 2025, Prosper averaged 5.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 0.7 steals in 14.1 minutes per game over his final 30 regular-season appearances.
Mar 13, 2025
Undergoes successful surgery
Prosper has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2024-25 season after undergoing surgery to repair a right wrist injury.
ANALYSIS
A previous report noted that Prosper would likely remain sidelined for the rest of the year as a result of the injury, and the team confirmed Monday that the Marquette product will indeed be shut down for the season following a successful surgery. He averaged 3.9 points and 2.4 rebounds in 11.2 minutes per matchup over 52 appearances in his second NBA season.
Mar 7, 2025
Expected to miss rest of season
The Mavericks suffer another blow to their frontcourt with Prosper expected to undergo season-ending surgery on his right wrist, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Prosper becomes one of many players on the Mavericks dealing with a severe injury. Kyrie Irving (knee) has already been ruled out for the season, and the same might happen to Anthony Davis (thigh). If the 22-year-old big man does end up having season-ending surgery, he'll have finished his second season in Dallas, averaging 3.9 points and 2.4 rebounds per game, shooting 40.2 percent from the floor.
Mar 6, 2025
Out with wrist injury
Prosper won't play Friday against the Grizzlies due to a right wrist sprain, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear as to when Prosper picked up the injury, but it'll cost him at least one game. Look for Caleb Martin (hip) and Kessler Edwards to pick up a few extra minutes in Prosper's absence.
Feb 21, 2025
Back to bench Friday
Prosper is not in Dallas' starting lineup against New Orleans on Friday, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Prosper started in Dallas' two games prior to the All-Star break and averaged 8.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.0 steals over 23.5 minutes per game over that span. Kessler Edwards will draw the start at center Friday while Prosper slides back to the bench.
Feb 12, 2025
Starting Wednesday
Prosper is part of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Warriors, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
At 6-foot-8, Prosper is the tallest player in Dallas' starting five due to a slew of injuries at the center position. It'll be the second-year forward's third start of the season, and he averaged 7.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.0 steals across 28.0 minutes in his other two starts.
Feb 11, 2025
Scores 16 points off bench
Prosper notched 16 points (6-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one steal across 34 minutes during Monday's 129-128 overtime loss to Sacramento.
ANALYSIS
Anthony Davis (adductor) and P.J. Washington (ankle) were both sidelined Monday, and Davis is likely to miss extended time. Plus, Daniel Gafford left with a knee injury, so the Mavericks could potentially be very shorthanded going forward. Prosper made a strong impression Monday and is someone to watch in deeper formats in case he strings a few good games together.
Feb 4, 2025
Slides to bench Tuesday
Prosper will come off the bench in Tuesday's game against Philadelphia, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kessler Edwards will supplant Prosper in the starting five on Tuesday. The 22-year-old has received inconsistent playing time of late, and over his last 10 outings (two starts), he has averaged 7.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 17.3 minutes per game.
Feb 2, 2025
Balanced outing in second start
Prosper finished Sunday's 144-101 loss to the Cavaliers with 10 points (4-15 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, four assists and two steals in 31 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Prosper got the starting nod for the second time of the year Sunday with P.J. Washington (knee) sidelined, notching a team-high-tying pair of steals while leading all starters in assists and finishing as one of six Mavericks in double figures in scoring. Prosper has reached double-digits in scoring in four outings this year, doing so in three out of his last six appearances.
Feb 2, 2025
Starting sans Washington
Prosper will start in Sunday's game against Cleveland, Mavericks radio play-by-play broadcaster Chuck Cooperstein reports.
ANALYSIS
With P.J. Washington (knee) sidelined, Prosper will receive the starting nod. Over his last 10 appearances (one start), the 22-year-old forward has averaged 7.0 points and 3.5 rebounds across 15.6 minutes per contest.
Jan 28, 2025
Shines off bench Monday
Prosper contributed 20 points (7-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-6 FT), five rebounds and one assist in 25 minutes during Monday's 130-108 victory over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Prosper has had a limited role all season long, but he's been stepping up his game lately and taking advantage of the uptick in minutes due to the rash of injuries that has affected the Mavs. This means he's cleared the 20-minute mark in three of his last four outings while scoring at least 14 points twice in that span. That's not enough to roster him in most formats, but Prosper could have some upside as a streaming alternative in deep formats as long as the Mavericks remain depleted.
Jan 24, 2025
Season-high 14 points off bench
Prosper recorded 14 points (4-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 5-9 FT), three rebounds and one steal in 21 minutes during Thursday's 121-115 win over the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Prosper may have lost his spot in Dallas' starting five to Spencer Dinwiddie against a smaller Thunder lineup, but that didn't stop him from scoring a season-high 14 points off the bench during a busy night at the foul line. Prosper has seen an uptick in playing time over his last six games, where he's averaging 7.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, 0.8 assists and 0.5 steals in 16.6 minutes. With the Mavericks' frontcourt dealing with several injuries at the moment, the 2023 first-rounder could continue witnessing a bump in minutes going forward.
Jan 23, 2025
Returns to bench Thursday
Prosper will come off the bench in Thursday's game against Oklahoma City, Mavericks radio play-by-play broadcaster Chuck Cooperstein reports.
ANALYSIS
Kessler Edwards will supplant Prosper in the starting five on Thursday. The 22-year-old received his second start over his two-year career in Wednesday's win over Utah with Klay Thompson (ankle) and Naji Marshall (illness) sidelined, during which he recorded four points (2-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt), four rebounds and two assists across 25 minutes.
Jan 22, 2025
Making second career start
Prosper is part of the Mavericks' starting lineup for Wednesday's game against Minnesota, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Prosper will make his first start since Apr. 14, 2024, stepping into a larger role due to the absences of Klay Thompson (ankle) and Naji Marshall (illness). The second-year forward has averaged 6.0 points and 4.0 rebounds in 13.0 minutes during his last four appearances.
Jan 16, 2025
Logs 10 minutes in loss
Prosper provided one point (0-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds and one assist across 10 minutes during Wednesday's 119-116 loss to the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Prosper played at least 10 minutes for the second straight game, assuming a larger role due to the recent injuries to other players. Despite featuring in the rotation on a relatively consistent basis, Prosper is producing averages of just 2.8 points and 2.3 rebounds in 9.1 minutes per game.
Dec 11, 2024
Plays 12 minutes
Prosper had six points (2-4 FG, 2-2 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist over 12 minutes during Tuesday's 118-104 loss to the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
With P.J. Washington (illness) out of the lineup, Prosper saw a small handful of extra minutes. He's been out of the rotation for most of the season, and he's rumored to be on the trade block if the Mavericks look to upgrade their roster at the deadline.
Nov 20, 2024
Garbage-time appearance
Prosper ended Tuesday's 132-91 win over the Pelicans with three points (1-1 FG, 1-2 FT), three rebounds and one steal across four minutes.
ANALYSIS
Prosper was rolled out during garbage time, a trend that seems unlikely to change anytime soon. As a player who is not an every-night part of the rotation, Prosper is averaging just 1.8 points and 1.4 rebounds in 6.1 minutes per game. Barring multiple injuries to players ahead of him, there is no reason to think he will be used in a meaningful role this season.
Oct 23, 2024
Has team option picked up
The Mavericks exercised Prosper's third-year rookie option for 2025-26, the team announced Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Prosper was quiet in his 40 regular-season appearances as a rookie, averaging 3.0 points and 2.0 rebounds across 8.4 minutes. However, the Mavericks have opted to keep him around for another season, picking up his team option for 2025-26. Prosper will compete with Maxi Kleber and Naji Marshall for minutes off the bench this season.
Oct 14, 2024
Retreats to bench Monday
Prosper will slide to the bench in Monday's preseason matchup against the Clippers, Justin Russo of the 'Clip & Roll' podcast reports.
ANALYSIS
Prosper got the spot start in Thursday's loss to the Jazz, and he amassed a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. However, the 22-year-old will slide back to the bench with P.J. Washington making his return to game action after nursing a hip injury to begin the preseason.
Oct 10, 2024
Takes advantage of spot start
Prosper delivered 10 points (3-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 10 rebounds and an assist across 33 minutes in Thursday's 107-102 preseason loss to the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Prosper got the start in the frontcourt alongside Dereck Lively, and there's no question the second-year forward took advantage of the opportunity. As good as he looked alongside Lively, Prosper's path at regular minutes in the regular season is blocked, meaning he shouldn't have any value in most fantasy formats regardless of how good he looks during his brief preseason cameos.
Oct 10, 2024
Gets starting nod
Prosper is in the starting lineup for Thursday's preseason game against the Jazz, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Mavericks are tweaking their starting lineup for this contest, and that means mixing things up down low. Prosper will start alongside Dereck Lively in the frontcourt.
Oct 8, 2024
Three swipes vs. Memphis
Prosper logged 14 points (4-12 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 6-9 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one block over 31 minutes in Monday's 121-116 preseason loss to the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Prosper got an extended look in the Mavericks' preseaon opener as multiple starters sat out of Monday's contest. He was one of four reserve players to score in double digits, and his three steals were second on the team behind Jazian Gortman (four). Prosper saw inconsistent playing time during the 2023-24 regular season, and he only appeared in two playoff games, both of which occurred during garbage time.
Jun 15, 2024
Gets garbage-time run in Game 4
Prosper posted zero points (0-2 FG), two rebounds and one assist in five minutes Friday in the Mavericks' 122-84 win over the Celtics in Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
ANALYSIS
Prosper sprained his ankle in a practice prior to Game 4 of the Mavericks' first-round series with the Clippers and had been sidelined for multiple weeks before being cleared to play ahead of Game 1 of the NBA Finals. He didn't see any action in either of the first three games of the series, but with Friday's contest turning into a rout by the end of the third quarter, Prosper was able to make his NBA Finals debut in garbage time.
Jun 6, 2024
Available for Game 1 of Finals
Prosper (ankle) is available for Game 1 of the 2024 NBA Finals against the Celtics on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Prosper used the break between the Conference Finals and the NBA Finals to recover from his injury, and he's ready to step on the hardwood for the first time since April 21. He's logged just one minute this postseason, so he's not expected to play a prominent role in the series.
Jun 5, 2024
Upgraded to questionable
Prosper (ankle) is questionable for Game 1 of the NBA Finals against Boston on Thursday, Mike Curtis of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
Prosper has been ruled out ahead of every postseason game thus, so his upgrade to questionable is noteworthy. While he's unlikely to play a significant role in the NBA Finals, the rookie could be another body to throw at Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, as Prosper's 6-foot-7 frame allows him to cause havoc defensively.
May 29, 2024
Still sidelined for Game 5
Prosper (ankle) has been ruled out for Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals against Minnesota on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Prosper continues to deal with an ankle injury and will be unavailable for a 16th consecutive game. It's unclear when he'll be able to return.
May 27, 2024
Remains out for Game 4
Prosper (ankle) will not play in Tuesday's Game 4 against Minnesota, Grant Afseth of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
This will be the 15th straight game on the shelf for Prosper. He's yet to be cleared to practice and remains without a timetable for a return.
May 25, 2024
Won't play Sunday
Prosper (ankle) won't play in Sunday's matchup with the Timberwolves in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.
ANALYSIS
This will be the 14th straight game on the sidelines for Prosper, and he remains without a timetable for a return.
May 24, 2024
Sitting out Game 2
Prosper (ankle) won't play in Friday's matchup with the Timberwolves in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals.
ANALYSIS
Prosper hasn't been available since Game 3 of the Mavericks' first-round series with the Clippers after spraining his left ankle in a practice leading up to that contest. The rookie first-round pick hadn't been a regular part of the rotation during the regular season, so his continued absence should go largely unnoticed.
May 21, 2024
Another absence coming
Prosper (ankle) is out for Wednesday's Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals against the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Prosper's absence streak will extend to 12 games Wednesday due to a left ankle sprain. There is no timetable for the rookie forward's return.
May 17, 2024
Remains out
Prosper (ankle) won't play in Saturday's Game 6 against the Thunder.
ANALYSIS

May 14, 2024

ANALYSIS
Prosper will miss his tenth straight game with a sprained left ankle. HIs next chance to suit up will be Saturday.
May 12, 2024

ANALYSIS
Prosper has missed nine straight games with a sprained left ankle. His next chance to play will come Wednesday.
May 10, 2024
Another absence coming
Prosper (ankle) is out for Saturday's Game 3 against the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Prosper will miss his eighth straight contest Saturday due to a left ankle sprain. The rookie forward's absence won't impact Dallas' rotation.
May 9, 2024
Still out for Game 2
Prosper (ankle) will remain on the sidelines for Thursday's Game 2 matchup with the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Prosper has been out ever since tweaking his ankle in Game 1 of Dallas' First Round series, and considering we haven't heard any positive updates, it's safe to assume he's still not close. For now, we would consider him doubtful for Game 3 on Saturday.
May 6, 2024
Remains out for Game 1
Prosper (ankle) won't play in Game 1 against the Thunder on Tuesday, Mike Curtis of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
This will be the fifth game in a row on the shelf for Prosper, and he remains without a timetable for a return.
May 2, 2024
Still sidelined
Prosper (ankle) won't play in Friday's Game 6 against the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Prosper's absence streak will extend to four games Friday due to a. left ankle sprain. However, the rookie forward is unlikely to be a significant factor in Dallas' playoff rotation when healthy.
Apr 30, 2024
Remains out
Prosper (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's Game 5 against the Clippers, Mike Curtis of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
Prosper will miss a third straight game due to a left ankle sprain. He played only one minute during Game 1 and didn't see the court in Game 2, so his prolonged absence hasn't impacted Dallas' rotation.
Apr 27, 2024
Out for Game 4
Prosper (ankle) will not play in Sunday's Game 4 versus the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Prosper will sit out for a second straight game Sunday. He's not typically in the rotation for Dallas, so there aren't many fantasy implications here.
Apr 25, 2024
Won't play Friday
Prosper is out for Friday's Game 3 against the Clippers due to an ankle sprain he suffered in Thursday's practice, Mike Curtis of The Detroit News reports.
ANALYSIS
Prosper's absence shouldn't significantly affect Dallas' playoff rotation. The rookie forward's next chance to suit up is Game 4 on Sunday.
Apr 21, 2024
Back to bench
Prosper won't start Game 1 against the Clippers on Sunday, Law Murray of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
With Dallas resting its regulars, Prosper drew a spot start during the regular-season finale and posted 15 points (5-14 FG) and eight rebounds in 37 minutes during a loss to the Thunder. The Mavericks are at full strength to start the postseason, so the rookie isn't guaranteed playing time.
Apr 15, 2024
Posts 15 points in finale
Prosper ended with 15 points (5-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-5 FT), eight rebounds and one assist in 37 minutes during Sunday's 135-86 loss to Oklahoma City.
ANALYSIS
Prosper has quickly made a name for himself in the final week of the season. Although the Mavericks plan to have their first unit intact for the playoffs, the team opted to play it safe with their starters in the final week. Prosper stepped in and showed his worth as a former first-round pick. Although his playoff usage will be minimal, the Marquette product will probably make the 15-man roster for the postseason.
Apr 14, 2024
Set for first career start
Prosper is in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against Oklahoma City.
ANALYSIS
Prosper logged his fifth contest of the season with at least 20 minutes of action in Friday's loss to Detroit, cracking double-digit scoring for the third time in his young career. He is in position to deliver similar output Sunday, with Dwight Powell, Josh Green, Tim Hardaway and Jaden Hardy joining him in the first unit.
Apr 13, 2024
Productive off bench
Prosper finished with 16 points (6-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals in 29 minutes during Friday's 107-89 loss to the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
With Luka Doncic (ankle) and Kyrie Irving (hamstring) out, Prosper received increased playing time against Detroit on Friday. The rookie forward capitalized by recording just his second game of the season with at least one block and a steal, while also scoring his second-most points in a game. Prosper should continue to receive increased opportunities against the Thunder on Sunday with Dallas' two starts remaining sidelined.
Mar 31, 2024
Recalled to Dallas
Dallas recalled Prosper from the G League's Texas Legends on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Prosper is set to rejoin the Mavericks in advance of Sunday's game against the Rockets, although he has compiled no NBA production since March 1. He has been excellent across 24 G League contests, however, generating 1.065 points per possession off 16 possessions per game -- ranking in the 93rd percentile league-wide.

Mar 3, 2024
Recalled to Dallas

Though Prosper will be active for Sunday's game against the 76ers, he's unlikely to be included in head coach Jason Kidd's rotation.
Mar 3, 2024
Recalled to Dallas
Dallas recalled Prosper from the G League's Texas Legends on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Prosper dropped 23 points, 10 rebounds, three steals and two blocks in a Saturday night victory for the Legends. He's unlikely to factor into the Mavericks' rotation, however, especially with Dante Exum (knee) back in action.
Feb 28, 2024
Recalled by Dallas
The Mavericks recalled Prosper from the G League's Texas Legends on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Prosper was sent to the G League last week, but he'll rejoin the parent club ahead of Wednesday's game against Toronto. It seems unlikely that he'll see much playing time, even with Wednesday's matchup being the second half of a back-to-back set.
Feb 5, 2024
Rejoins NBA team
Dallas recalled Prosper from the G League's Texas Legends on Monday.
ANALYSIS
The Mavericks have a back-to-back set that begins Monday in Philadelphia, so Prosper will provide some emergency depth while Dallas has a lengthy injury report.

Jan 7, 2024
Recalled to Dallas

ANALYSIS

Jan 6, 2024
Returns to G League
The Mavericks assigned Prosper to the Texas Legends of the G League on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Prosper is averaging 4.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 9.7 minutes across his last three NBA appearances. However, the rookie forward should receive increased playing time in the G League.

ANALYSIS
Prosper was sent to the G League on Thursday but will return to the parent club a day later. He's appeared in each of the Mavericks' last two games, totaling five points, seven rebounds, one assist and one block in 15 minutes.
Dec 23, 2023
Takes advantage of opportunity
Prosper posted 20 points (6-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 7-9 FT), six rebounds, two assists and one steal over 30 minutes during Friday's 122-96 loss to the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
For the first time this season, Dallas played without both Luka Doncic (quadriceps) and Kyrie Irving (heel), giving the team's role players a chance to grab the spotlight. Prosper did just that, playing a team-high 30 minutes and leading the Mavericks in scoring, nearly doubling his previous career-best mark of 11 points. The strong performance could lead to the rookie seeing a bit more court time moving forward, but it should be noted that his extended run came in a game during which Dallas was routed. Prosper had logged six or fewer minutes in four of his previous five games coming into Friday, so he isn't considered a significant part of the team's rotation at this point.
Dec 19, 2023
Quiet in 20 minutes
Prosper racked up two points (1-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt), four rebounds and three assists over 20 minutes during Monday's 130-104 loss to Denver.
ANALYSIS
This was Prosper's largest workload since Dec. 6, as the Mavericks were blown out by the Nuggets. Prosper hasn't done much with his limited minutes recently, as he's shooting 36.4 percent from the field and 28.6 percent from beyond the arc in seven December outings.
Dec 1, 2023
Good to go against Memphis
Prosper (ankle) is available for Friday's game versus the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Prosper has been upgraded from questionable to available Friday despite dealing with a right ankle sprain. With Luka Doncic (personal) out and Tim Hardaway (back) questionable, the rookie forward could see an increase in minutes.
Nov 30, 2023
Questionable for Friday
Prosper is questionable for Friday's game against the Grizzlies due to an ankle sprain, Grant Afseth of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Prosper has been on the fringes of the Mavericks' rotation this season, and it's unclear whether he'll be able to suit up Friday. His status shouldn't significantly impact the team's plans.
Nov 12, 2023
Promoted Sunday

Gets start in preseason opener
Head coach Jason Kidd said Prosper will serve as one of the Mavericks' starting forwards in Thursday's preseason opener versus the Timberwolves in Abu Dhabi, Grant Afseth of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Prosper and fellow rookie first-round pick Dereck Lively will both get looks on the top unit to begin the preseason, joining Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving and Grant Williams. The latter three players are locked into starting roles to begin the regular season, but Prosper and Lively will have to earn their spots through their performance in the preseason. While the Mavericks' willingness to give Prosper an opportunity to prove he's worthy of a starting gig is a positive development, he's unlikely to emerge as a major fantasy contributor as a rookie while high-usage players like Doncic and Irving are both available. Even if one or both Doncic and Irving miss time, Prosper profiles as more of a 3-and-D forward who's not expected to be asked to shoulder a heavy burden on the offensive end.

Efficient in victory
Prosper amassed 18 points (7-12 FG, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one steal in 29 minutes during Friday's 112-91 Summer League win over the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Prosper has improved his scoring output throughout the Summer League but continues to be inconsistent with his outside shot. However, his primary path to playing time as a rookie will likely be on the defensive end, as he brings impressive size and instincts.

Aggressive against Warriors
Prosper tallied 17 points (3-7 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 8-10 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists and one steal in 33 minutes during Wednesday's 98-96 overtime Summer League win over Golden State.
ANALYSIS
Prosper had his best offensive game of the Summer League, as he was efficient from the outside and earned numerous trips to the free-throw line. While his defensive abilities will likely be the reason he sees minutes early on, the rookie forward could see wide-open looks from the three-point line due to the defensive attention that Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving will receive.

Flashes defensively
Prosper recorded 10 points (2-8 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 6-9 FT), seven rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 24 minutes during Monday's 111-103 Summer League win over the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Prosper is still very raw on offense, as he struggled with his efficiency. While he is unlikely to receive a major role for the Mavericks right out the gate, his defensive potential is exactly what Dallas needs next Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic long-term.
