Pours in 42 points with six treys
Pritchard contributed 42 points (15-22 FG, 6-11 3Pt, 6-6 FT), three rebounds and three assists in 31 minutes during Sunday's 117-115 win over Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
This was a nice bounce-back performance from Pritchard, who was held to just nine points on 4-for-14 shooting his last time out. The Celtics needed someone to step up with Derrick White (calf) unavailable, and Pritchard answered the call, notching the second, 40-plus-point performance of his career.
Nov 30, 2025
Shooting woes in defeat
Pritchard had nine points (4-14 FG, 1-8 3Pt), five rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal in 31 minutes during Saturday's 119-115 loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard delivered a lackluster performance from the field and shot 1-for-8 or worse from downtown for the first time since Oct. 31. He also scored in single digits for the first time since Nov. 11 after posting 15-plus points in five of his last six outings. On a more positive note, the 27-year-old grabbed five boards for a third consecutive contest.
Nov 23, 2025
Posts solid final line
Pritchard recorded 19 points (9-16 FG, 1-4 3Pt), five rebounds, eight assists and two steals across 34 minutes during Sunday's 138-129 win over the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard was calculated on the offensive end, scoring with efficiency while also finding his teammates for buckets. He was also active on the defensive end after failing to record either a block or steal in his previous four appearances. Pritchard has been producing across the board lately, averaging 21.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 5.6 assists over his last five games.
Nov 16, 2025
Erupts from downtown in win
Pritchard posted 30 points (10-16 FG, 8-13 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and two assists in 33 minutes during Sunday's 121-118 victory over the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
The 30 points and eight three-pointers were both season highs for Pritchard, who has drained at least one trey in all 14 games to begin the season. The 27-year-old guard has been productive in a bigger role for the Celtics this season, averaging 16.4 points, 5.0 assists, 3.9 boards and 2.5 threes in 31.9 minutes a contest.
Nov 12, 2025
Hands out nine dimes without one TO
Pritchard totaled 24 points (8-15 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds and nine assists over 30 minutes during Wednesday's 131-95 victory over the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard did a masterful job of orchestrating the offense in this one, finishing with zero turnovers to go with his nine dimes. Amongst players averaging at least 32 minutes per game this season, Pritchard ranks in the top-8 in assist/turnovers at 3.28.
Nov 12, 2025
Another quiet performance in loss
Pritchard racked up five points (2-9 FG, 1-5 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists and one steal across 31 minutes during Tuesday's 102-100 loss to the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard has now logged back-to-back performances scoring five points, shooting a meager 23.5 percent from the field and 18.2 percent from three in that span. Prior to those two games, Pritchard was averaging 16.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.0 threes made in 10 games, so he will look to bounce back Wednesday against the Grizzlies.
Nov 7, 2025
Connects on five threes vs. Orlando
Pritchard posted 27 points (8-16 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 6-8 FT), four assists, two rebounds and one steal over 27 minutes during the Celtics' 123-110 loss to the Magic on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard and Jaylen Brown each scored 14 points in the first half to help the Celtics keep pace with the Magic on Friday. Pritchard's five three-pointers is a season high and his most in a regular-season game since March 24 against the Kings. He opened the season connecting on just 18.0 percent of his three-point attempts on 7.1 3PA/G, but he has gone 11-for-25 (44.0 percent) over his last three outings while averaging 21.0 points over that span.
Nov 4, 2025
Sinks four triples in loss
Pritchard recorded 18 points (7-15 FG, 4-11 3Pt), five rebounds and three assists across 35 minutes during Monday's 105-103 loss to the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard notched an early season-high 4 threes Monday en route to 18 total points, but Boston was unable to beat the Jazz. Pritchard has also extended his double digit scoring streak to six and is averaging 15.0 points, 5.3 assists, 4.3 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 1.6 threes made on the season.
Nov 1, 2025
Good to go Saturday
Pritchard (ankle) is available for Saturday's game against the Rockets, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard sustained a sprained left ankle in Friday's win over the 76ers, though he'll shed his probable tag and suit up in the second leg of the team's back-to-back set. Over six regular-season appearances, the 27-year-old guard has averaged 14.7 points, 5.8 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 33.8 minutes per contest.
Nov 1, 2025
Likely available Saturday
Pritchard is probable for Saturday's game against the Rockets, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard twisted his ankle during Friday's 109-108 win over the 76ers, but he stayed in the game and finished with 15 points (7-17 FG, 1-9 3Pt), two rebounds, five assists, two steals and one turnover in 33 minutes. Derrick White (neck) is also probable for the second half of Boston's back-to-back set, but the Celtics should be at full strength, save for Jayson Tatum (knee).
Oct 31, 2025
Scores 15 points with five dimes
Pritchard tallied 15 points (7-17 FG, 1-9 3Pt), two rebounds, five assists, two steals and one turnover in 33 minutes during Friday's 109-108 win over the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
While Pritchard has been a midrange marksman this season, drilling 50 percent of his midrange attempts, he has been seriously struggling from beyond the arc. Through the first six games of the year, the career 39.5 percent three-point shooter has been converting just 17.4 percent of his long-balls, which is almost unfathomable. He should figure it out soon enough.
Oct 30, 2025
Drops double-double in win
Pritchard logged 10 points (4-13 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, 10 assists and two steals in 32 minutes during Wednesday's 125-105 victory over the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard notched his first 10 assist outing of the season Wednesday. Despite averaging 39.7 percent from the field and a measly 18.9 percent from three, Pritchard is averaging 6.0 assists, meaning that if his shot isn't falling, he will not hesitate to create shots for his teammates.
Oct 26, 2025
Double-double in Sunday's loss
Pritchard accumulated 21 points (8-16 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 3-5 FT), 10 rebounds and four assists across 34 minutes during Sunday's 119-113 loss to the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
The 27-year-old guard delivered his best performance yet on the young season, with the double-double being his first since April 9 against the Magic last season. Pritchard has seen a big increase in his usage with Jayson Tatum (Achilles) unavailable and the Celtics having shed plenty of talent in the offseason, and he's off to a solid start to what could easily be a career-best campaign, averaging 15.0 points, 6.7 boards, 4.0 assists, 1.3 threes and 1.0 steals in 35.7 minutes through three games.
Oct 23, 2025
Drops 16 in season opener
Pritchard tallied 16 points (6-14 FG, 1-7 3 Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, two assists and two steals over 37 minutes in Wednesday's 117-116 loss to Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard won the starting role over Anfernee Simons (as expected) and actually ended up leading the team in minutes. Although his efficiency from behind the three-point line wasn't great, he averaged an astounding 41.1 percent on 7.8 attempts (3.2 three-point shots made) in the 2024-25 regular season, so fantasy managers should expect his numbers to approach this baseline as the season progresses.
Oct 16, 2025
Double-doubles in win
Pritchard produced 10 points (1-11 FG, 0-8 3Pt, 8-8 FT), 10 assists, three rebounds and two steals in 32 minutes of Wednesday's 110-108 preseason win over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard was ice cold from the field, but he stepped up in other areas Wednesday. He appears to have locked up the starting point guard role, and now there's a chance for possibly more usage early on with Jaylen Brown tweaking his hamstring Wednesday.
Oct 10, 2025
Scores 19 points on 17 shots
Pritchard recorded 19 points (7-17 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, three assists, three triples, one steal and three turnovers across 26 minutes during Friday's preseason loss to the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
There will be a lot of offense to fill in Boston this upcoming season with Jayson Tatum (Achilles) watching from the sidelines, and Pritchard will be one of the key guys being asked to step it up. He was a top-80 player while averaging just 28.4 minutes per game last season, so he should see a boost with an expanded role in Boston.
Oct 10, 2025
Starting vs. Raptors
Pritchard is starting in Friday's preseason game against the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
The Celtics will give Pritchard a look in the first unit Friday. The sharpshooter wil likely open the regular season in a reserve capacity, but it's safe to say Pritchard will have a significant playmaking role for a Boston team that will be without Jayson Tatum (Achilles) for most of the season.
Apr 13, 2025
Shines with all-around showcase
Pritchard ended Sunday's 93-86 victory over the Hornets with 34 points (14-25 FG, 4-12 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, seven assists and one steal across 38 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard got his second start in three games with Boston sitting its regular starters in Sunday's regular-season finale, putting on a show by leading all Celtics in scoring and assists while finishing second on the team in rebounds. Pritchard tallied his second-highest scoring total of the season, recording his second outing with at least 15 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.
Apr 13, 2025
Starting Sunday
Pritchard is in Boston's starting lineup against Charlotte on Sunday, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard will make his second start in three games Sunday as the Celtics rest their top rotational players in the regular-season finale. Pritchard has averaged 14.2 points, 4.7 assists and 3.8 rebounds over 28.3 minutes per game over his last six outings.
Apr 12, 2025
Game-high 22 points Friday
Pritchard notched 22 points (9-11 FG, 4-5 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists and one steal across 22 minutes during Friday's 130-94 win over the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard reverted to his sixth-man role Friday after starting in Wednesday's loss to the Magic. The fifth-year guard out of Oregon proceeded to lead both teams in scoring, and he's connected on at least four triples 34 times this season. With the Celtics locked in as the No. 2 seed in the East, Pritchard will likely have his playing time limited in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Hornets.
Apr 11, 2025
Not starting Friday
Pritchard is not in the Celtics' starting lineup against the Hornets on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard made his second start of the season Wednesday against the Magic and registered his third double-double of the year in a loss. He'll return to his sixth-man role Friday with Jrue Holiday and Derrick White both back in the lineup. Pritchard has averaged 12.6 points, 5.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 0.8 rebounds over 29.6 minutes per game over his last five outings, though he's shot just 30.0 percent from three on 6.0 3PA/G over that span.
Apr 9, 2025
Top distributor in double-double
Pritchard finished with 15 points (7-17 FG, 1-7 3Pt), 10 assists, four rebounds and one steal over 35 minutes in Wednesday's 96-76 loss to Orlando.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard entered the starting lineup Wednesday with the Celtics shorthanded, going on to lead all players in assists while recording a team-high-tying point total in the lone double-double of the game. Pritchard matched a season-high assist mark, a total he has tallied on three occasions.
Apr 9, 2025
Will start vs. Orlando
Pritchard will be in the starting lineup for the Celtics on Wednesday against the Magic, Cody Taylor of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard will be in the first five for the second time this season, with Boston seemingly content resting players in Orlando. The last time the talented young guard was a starter, he finished with 16 points, five assists and four rebounds in a win against the Trail Blazers.
Apr 7, 2025
Erupts for 20 points
Pritchard amassed 20 points (8-18 FG, 4-11 3Pt), six rebounds, seven assists and two steals in 30 minutes during Sunday's 124-90 victory over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
This game was over in a hurry, allowing Pritchard to feast in garbage time. During the final week of the regular season, Pritchard could find himself with some fill-in starts if the Celtics opt to rest their key players ahead of the playoffs with the No. 2 seed locked up.
Mar 30, 2025
Available for Monday
Pritchard (hip) will play in Monday's game against the Grizzlies, Zack Cox of the Boston Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard missed Saturday's game against the Spurs due to left hip flexor tightness, but he will be available Monday. In his last five appearances, Pritchard holds averages of 14.6 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 31.6 minutes per contest.
Mar 29, 2025
Ruled out against San Antonio
Pritchard (hip) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Spurs, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard is having a career with the Celtics this season, but he won't be on the floor Saturday in San Antonio due to left hip soreness. Sam Hauser and Baylor Scheierman will likely be the players leaned on in the backcourt against the Spurs due to Pritchard's absence.
Mar 28, 2025
Iffy for Saturday
Pritchard is questionable for Saturday's game against the Spurs due to left hip flexor tightness, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The hip issue is a new concern for Pritchard, who hasn't missed an outing since Feb. 4. If the sharpshooter is sidelined against San Antonio, Baylor Scheierman and Sam Hauser could receive an uptick in playing time off the bench. Pritchard has averaged 14.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.4 three-pointers and 3.4 assists across 31.6 minutes per contest over his last five outings (one start).
Mar 24, 2025
Reverts back to bench Monday
Pritchard won't start in Monday's game against the Kings.
ANALYSIS
The sharpshooter will retreat to the second unit due to Jrue Holiday returning to game action. Over his last five outings (one start), Pritchard has averaged 15.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.2 steals across 31.6 minutes per game.
Mar 23, 2025
Starting Sunday
Pritchard will start Sunday's game against Portland, Sean Grande of NBC Sports Boston reports.
ANALYSIS
With Jrue Holiday (shoulder), Jaylen Brown (knee) and Kristaps Porzingis (illness) sidelined, Pritchard and Sam Hauser will slide into the starting lineup. This will be Pritchard's first start of the campaign, but he's played at least 30 minutes off the bench 30 times this season, averaging 18.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 0.9 steals in 33.4 minutes per game during those contests.
Mar 22, 2025
Scores 18 points off bench
Pritchard ended with 18 points (6-13 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 2-3 FT), two rebounds, four assists and one steal in 32 minutes during Friday's 121-99 victory over the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Jaylen Brown (knee) missed Friday's game, and Pritchard joined Sam Hauser as the key backup talent to prop up the adjusted first unit. The Oregon product has posted four consecutive double-digit scoring performances after shooting only 26.9 percent from the floor over three games earlier in the month. Pritchard usually delivers when he sees over 30 minutes of court time, and it happens enough to warrant some fantasy consideration.
Mar 15, 2025
Busts out of slump in win
Pritchard had 22 points (7-11 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds, three assists and two steals in 33 minutes during Saturday's 115-113 win over the Nets.
ANALYSIS
After shooting just 28.9 percent from the floor over his past four games, Pritchard broke out of his slump Saturday and stepped up for a short-handed Celtics team that was without Derrick White (knee). Jaylen Brown also went down with back spasms during this one, so Pritchard could be in line for an expanded role if the former cannot suit up for Tuesday's meeting with the Nets. Over his last eight games, Pritchard has averaged 15.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.1 steals and 3.8 three-pointers in 29.3 minutes while shooting 44.8 percent from deep.
Mar 7, 2025
Shines off bench Thursday
Pritchard finished with 19 points (6-13 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds, six assists and two steals in 32 minutes during Thursday's 123-105 victory over the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard didn't stand despite the fact the Celtics rested several key contributors in this game, but that didn't prevent him from delivering an elite performance off the bench. Even though Pritchard couldn't match the 43-point performance he delivered in the win over the Trail Blazers on Wednesday, it's worth noting that Pritchard has scored in double digits in six of his eight appearances since the All-Star break.
Mar 5, 2025
Drains career-high 10 triples
Pritchard recorded 43 points (14-20 FG, 10-16 3Pt, 5-5 FT), 10 rebounds and five assists in 43 minutes during Wednesday's 128-118 win over the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard was on fire in the win, landing a career-high 10 three-pointers en route to what was also a career-high 41 points. He combined with Derrick White to score 84 points, the first time a pair of Celtic teammates have each totaled 40 points. After a scorching start to the season, Pritchard had slowed down over the past month, making this a much-needed return to form.
Mar 5, 2025
Cleared to play against Portland
Pritchard (hip) is available for Wednesday's game against Portland, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard was probable due to left hip flexor tightness, so it's not a surprise that he'll be available Wednesday. With the Celtics missing three starters against the Blazers, the 2020 first-rounder should see a substantial boost in ball-handling duties off the bench. Pritchard has averaged 14.3 points, 2.7 assists, 2.5 rebounds, 0.7 steals and 3.8 three-pointers in 27.6 minutes through six games since the All-Star break.
Mar 4, 2025
Probable to face Portland
Pritchard is probable for Wednesday's game against Portland due to left hip flexor tightness, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The left hip flexor tightness is a new concern for Pritchard, who has missed only one outing this season. The sharpshooter is expected to suit up Wednesday, and he could see a significant bump in minutes due to Jrue Holiday (finger), Jaylen Brown (illness) and Jayson Tatum (shoulder) all being included on the club's injury report. Over his last five outings, Pritchard has averaged 11.6 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.0 three-pointers and 2.4 assists across 26.8 minutes per game.
Feb 26, 2025
Shines from deep off bench in loss
Pritchard tallied 18 points (6-10 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four assists, three rebounds and one steal over 31 minutes in Wednesday's 117-97 loss to Detroit.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard impressed from deep off the bench Wednesday, leading all Celtics bench players in scoring and assists while connecting on a team-high-tying mark from three in just over 30 minutes of action. Pritchard has buried five or more threes on 19 occasions this season, doing so for the third time in his last seven outings.
Feb 25, 2025
Pours in 20 points off bench
Pritchard tallied 20 points (8-17 FG, 4-13 3Pt), seven rebounds, two assists and two steals over 35 minutes during Tuesday's 111-101 win over Toronto.
ANALYSIS
He wasn't the most efficient from three-point range Tuesday, but Pritchard was able to weave his way to the paint effectively and finished as the Celtics' third-leading scorer behind Jaylen Brown (24) and Derrick White (22). Pritchard was also active on the glass, grabbing a team-high seven boards for the fourth time this season. Pritchard's scoring has been inconsistent as of late, but he has scored at least 20 points in four of his last seven games. He will likely have a big role in the second leg of the Celtics' back-to-back set Wednesday against the Pistons.
Feb 20, 2025
Erupts for game-high 28 points
Pritchard notched 28 points (10-18 FG, 8-15 3Pt) and four assists in 31 minutes during Thursday's 124-104 victory over the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard erupted for a game-high 28 points off the bench Thursday, falling one point short of his season high and draining eight three-pointers to match a season-best figure. The 27-year-old guard can be a streaky shooter, but overall, he's averaged a solid 13.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 1.0 steals and 3.3 three-pointers through his last eight outings while shooting 41.3 percent from beyond the arc.
Feb 11, 2025
Productive despite shooting woes
Pritchard ended with five points (2-9 FG, 1-8 3Pt), 10 rebounds, eight assists and two steals in 36 minutes off the bench during Monday's 103-85 victory over the Heat.
ANALYSIS
With Jrue Holiday (shoulder) and Jaylen Brown (knee) both unavailable, the Celtics deployed a tight rotation that featured Pritchard as the clear sixth man. While the fifth-year guard had trouble getting his shot off, he did pull down double-digit boards for only the second time this season while posting his best distribution numbers since he dished nine dimes against the Warriors on Jan. 20. Pritchard has played 27-plus minutes in seven of his last eight appearances, averaging 11.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 2.9 threes and 1.3 steals over that stretch while shooting 53.8 percent from the floor and 47.9 percent from beyond the arc.
Feb 9, 2025
Leads bench in win
Pritchard contributed 25 points (9-13 FG, 6-8 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds and four assists across 27 minutes during Saturday's 131-104 victory over the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard posted 20-plus points for the second consecutive outing, leading the bench in scoring in the blowout win. Moreover, the 27-year-old finished as the club's second-leading scorer behind Jayson Tatum (40 points). Pritchard was extremely efficient in his 25-point performance, and he also sank five or more triples for the 17th time this season. Over his last five appearances, the fifth-year guard has averaged 13.6 points, 4.0 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals across 28.0 minutes per game.
Feb 6, 2025
Extended run during garbage time
Pritchard finished Thursday's 127-120 loss to the Mavericks with 22 points (9-15 FG, 3-9 3Pt), six assists, six rebounds and one block over 33 minutes.
ANALYSIS
With Boston down by more than 20 points, head coach Joe Mazulla went with Pritchard and four other Celtics reserves for most of the fourth quarter. Pritchard scored 16 of his 22 points in the final frame, and it was the first time since Jan. 18 against Atlanta that the fifth-year guard reached the 20-point threshold. The Celtics will need that firepower from their Sixth Man of the Year candidate against the Knicks on Saturday.
Feb 3, 2025
Available for Tuesday
Pritchard (illness) will be available for Tuesday's game against the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
After missing Sunday's game against the 76ers for his first absence of the season, Pritchard is no longer appearing on the injury report. The guard holds averages of 10.8 points, 3.6 assists, 3.4 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 2.2 three-pointers over his last 10 appearances.
Feb 2, 2025
Out Sunday due to illness
Pritchard (illness) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the 76ers, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard was a late addition to the injury report and will miss his first game of the season. In his absence, Sam Hauser and Jaden Springer are candidates for extra minutes. Pritchard's next chance to suit up will come Tuesday in Cleveland.
Feb 2, 2025
Questionable Sunday
Pritchard (illness) is questionable for Sunday's game against the 76ers, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard is in jeopardy of missing his first game of the season due to the non-COVID illness. If the sharpshooter is sidelined Sunday, Sam Hauser and Jaden Springer could see an uptick in playing time. Over his last five outings, Pritchard has averaged 8.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.4 steals in 26.6 minutes per contest.
Jan 28, 2025
Scores 15 points in loss
Pritchard closed with 15 points (5-7 FG, 5-6 3Pt), four rebounds, three assists and one steal over 31 minutes during Monday's 114-112 loss to the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Derrick White (leg) was unavailable and Al Horford (toe) was later reported as a late scratch, allowing Pritchard to be a bit more involved than usual. This game could give Pritchard a confidence boost, as he was held to single-digit points in his previous three games while shooting a combined 8-of-27 from the field.
Jan 25, 2025
Quiet again Saturday
Pritchard finished with six points (2-4 FG, 2-4 3Pt), nine rebounds, four assists and one steal in 27 minutes during Saturday's 122-107 victory over the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard scored single digits for the seventh time in the past 11 games, continuing his downward trend after a red-hot start to the season. Although he continues to serve as the primary sixth-man for the Celtics, his contributions have taken a noticeable hit. Over the past month, he has averaged a modest 11.9 points, 3.8 assists and 2.4 three-pointers in 25.4 minutes per game.
Jan 21, 2025
Steps up for Boston
Pritchard registered 14 points (5-10 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, nine assists, one block and one steal across 22 minutes during Monday's 125-85 victory over the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard finished one assist shy of a double-double in one of his best all-around performances of the season. This game was over in a hurry, but only three of Pritchard's points came in garbage time in the fourth quarter. The guard is trending up with averages of 13.8 points, 4.2 assists, 2.6 rebounds and 2.6 three-pointers over his last five games.
Jan 19, 2025
Strikes for 20 off bench Saturday
Pritchard logged 20 points (7-12 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and one assist across 33 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 119-115 overtime loss to the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
It's the second time in the last three games Pritchard has hit for 20 points, although the fifth-year guard managed just four points in between. His role on the bench can make him feast or famine from game to game, but over his last 12 contests, Pritchard is averaging 12.8 points, 3.5 assists, 3.4 boards, 2.8 threes and 0.7 steals in 25.6 minutes.
Jan 16, 2025
Bounces back with 20 points in loss
Pritchard posted 20 points (7-11 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-3 FT), four assists, two boards and a steal in 31 minutes of action in the 110-97 loss to the Raptors on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
The fifth-year guard averaged just 5.8 points, 2.8 assists and 1.8 rebounds on 21.7 percent shooting from deep over the four games prior to Wednesday's contest, but was able to find his form against the Raptors. He finished as the team's leading scorer in the loss and came away with his second 20-point performance of the month to this point. Pritchard will look to build off this outing Friday against the Magic, although it's worth noting he only had seven points, three rebounds and one assist in their last meeting.
Jan 6, 2025
Sees just 11 minutes
Pritchard finished Sunday's 105-92 loss to the Thunder with zero points (0-5 FG, 0-3 3Pt), one rebound and one assist in 11 minutes.
ANALYSIS
The Celtics tightened up their rotation for this clash against the Thunder, resulting in a season-low 11 minutes for Pritchard. It obviously didn't help his case that he missed all five of his shots. His fantasy managers can chalk this up as a dud, as he's been pretty reliable this season with averages of 15.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 0.9 steals and 3.6 three-pointers.

Drains five more threes Tuesday
Pritchard posted 19 points (7-13 FG, 5-8 3Pt), six rebounds, four assists and three steals over 23 minutes off the bench during Tuesday's 125-71 victory over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
The fifth-year guard has caught fire to close out 2024. Pritchard has scored at least 18 points in three straight games, averaging 19.3 points, 6.0 boards, 5.7 assists, 4.7 threes and 1.3 steals in 27.7 minutes a contest while shooting 50.0 percent from the floor and a blistering 53.8 percent (14-for-26) from beyond the arc.
Dec 29, 2024
Leader from deep off bench in loss
Pritchard recorded 21 points (7-13 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and three assists in 28 minutes during Sunday's 123-114 loss to Indiana.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard provided a huge offensively lift off the Celtics bench Sunday, leading all players in threes made while concluding as one of three Boston players with 20 or more points in a losing effort. Pritchard posted his 14th game of the year with five or more threes made while surpassing the 20-point mark in 11 contests. Sunday's game marked the second straight outing that Pritchard has reached double figures in scoring to go along with four or more threes.
Dec 27, 2024
Bounces back with double-double
Pritchard closed Friday's 142-105 victory over the Pacers with 18 points (7-16 FG, 4-11 3Pt), eight rebounds, 10 assists, one block and one steal in 32 minutes.
ANALYSIS
After scoring in single digits in each of his past three outings, Pritchard broke out of that slump in a big way Friday, tallying his third double-double of the season while handing out a game-high 10 assists in Jrue Holiday's (shoulder) absence. While the streaky Pritchard has notched six 20-point games since Nov. 22, he's also logged six single-digit scoring outputs during this 16-game period, so he's proven to be a relatively inconsistent fantasy asset amid his breakout campaign as one of the league's premier sixth men off the bench. The 26-year-old sharpshooter is still playing a featured role for the Celtics, and although fantasy managers will have to deal with some poor shooting nights out of Pritchard, the guard has the ability to heat up in a hurry and score in bunches.
Dec 24, 2024
Quiet in loss
Pritchard finished with seven points (3-7 FG, 1-5 3Pt), three rebounds and one assist in 21 minutes during Monday's 108-104 loss to the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard was held to single-digit points for the second game in a row. His production can be sporadic when the Celtics are healthy, but he's had a strong December overall. Over his last 10 games, Pritchard is averaging 15.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 0.7 steals and 3.8 three-pointers.
Dec 16, 2024
Double-double off bench Sunday
Pritchard closed Sunday's 112-98 win over Washington with 15 points (5-12 FG, 5-10 3Pt), 11 rebounds and six assists over 37 minutes off the bench.
ANALYSIS
It was his second straight game with a double-double, although Thursday's effort came via assists and not boards. Pritchard has scored at least 15 points in eight of the last nine games while anchoring Boston's second unit, averaging 20.1 points, 5.6 boards, 4.9 threes 4.0 assists and 0.8 steals over that stretch while shooting 50.8 percent from the floor and 46.8 percent from beyond the arc.
Dec 12, 2024
Standout performance off bench
Pritchard notched 27 points (10-20 FG, 7-15 3Pt), four rebounds and 10 assists in 31 minutes during Thursday's 123-99 victory over the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard continues to cement himself as one of the league's premier sixth men off the bench in 2024-25, as he's now gone for at least 19 points in seven of his last eight games following his first double-double of the season in the absence of superstar Jayson Tatum (knee) in Thursday's rout. However, Pritchard was held scoreless over 24 minutes during a Dec. 6 win over the Bucks during this period, which sheds some light on how volatile the 26-year-old sharpshooter tends to be. Overall, Pritchard is converting 46.4 percent of three-point attempts across his last eight games and should remain a strong source of points and triples for fantasy managers ahead of Sunday's soft matchup against Washington.
Dec 8, 2024
Strong contributon from bench
Pritchard finished Saturday's 127-121 loss to Memphis with 22 points (7-12 FG, 6-11 3Pt, 2-4 FT), six rebounds, two assists and one steal across 30 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard drilled six three-pointers during the loss, marking his third-highest total in the category this season. Pritchard has often entered the game to prop up a struggling backcourt, but Jrue Holiday's superb line proved that Pritchard's production can shine even when the first unit doesn't need immediate support. Pritchard is having a breakout season, averaging 16.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists through 24 games.
Dec 2, 2024
Shines off bench in dominant win
Pritchard produced 25 points (10-17 FG, 5-12 3Pt), five rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block across 33 minutes during Monday's 108-89 win over the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard led the bench in scoring and totaled 20-plus points in his fourth consecutive outing. During this four-game span, he averaged 24.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.3 steals across 31.0 minutes per game off the bench. The Sixth Man of the Year candidate has recorded eight games with more than 20 points over 21 regular-season appearances, and he has provided an irreplaceable spark off the bench thus far. The 26-year-old sharpshooter has also contributed nine outings with more than five made three-pointers, and his efficiency from beyond the arc has been impressive during the 2024-25 campaign.
Dec 2, 2024
Steps up off bench again
Pritchard ended with 24 points (7-16 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 7-8 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and one block across 36 minutes during Sunday's 115-111 loss to Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard stepped up in a big way off the bench once again for the Celtics on Sunday against the Cavaliers, going for 24 points on the heels of a 29-point showing from the second unit in Friday's win over Chicago. The 26-year-old sharpshooter continues to put together a breakout season in 2024-25, averaging a career-high 16.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.1 steals and 3.7 three-pointers in 27.8 minutes per game while shooting 43.2 percent from deep over 20 contests as Boston's sixth man. Pritchard may have a tendency to run a bit hot and cold at times, but he should remain a strong source of triples for fantasy managers and could see some extra shots if Derrick White (foot) or Jaylen Brown (illness) remain out for Monday's clash with Miami.
Nov 30, 2024
Shines off bench Friday
Pritchard notched 29 points (10-16 FG, 7-11 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one steal over 29 minutes during Friday's 138-129 win over the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard has been one of the best bench performers this season, and this 29-point outing represented a new season-high mark for him. Pritchard has scored at least 20 points in six different games in 2024-25 and continues to have a career-best season while holding a prominent role in the Celtics' second unit.
Nov 26, 2024
Records 20 points
Pritchard logged 20 points (7-13 FG, 6-10 3Pt), two rebounds, four assists and two steals across 26 minutes during Monday's 126-94 win over the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
This was Pritchard's fifth game of the season with at least 20 points. He's been a key part of Boston's second unit offense, and he's had a terrific November with averages of 14.3 points, 3.1 assists, 2.3 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 3.1 three-pointers in 27.2 minutes across 13 appearances.
Nov 24, 2024
Shooting woes from deep in win
Pritchard recorded eight points (3-7 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds and three assists over 22 minutes during Sunday's 107-105 win over the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard struggled from outside while delivering his second consecutive matchup with fewer than 10 points. The sharpshooter has cooled down from outside, shooting 7-for-21 from three-point range in his last four games. However, Pritchard has delivered a spark off the bench throughout the season, and he has racked up 10 outings with 15-plus points in 17 regular-season appearances.
Nov 19, 2024
Cleared to play Tuesday
Pritchard (thumb) is available for Tuesday's game against the Cavaliers, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard will shake off a questionable tag and suit up despite a left thumb sprain. Over his last eight appearances, the backup guard has averaged 16.1 points, 2.9 assists, 2.3 rebounds and 0.9 steals in 28.5 minutes per game.
Nov 18, 2024
Dealing with thumb sprain
Pritchard is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Cavaliers due to a left thumb sprain, Justin Turpin of WEEI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard has yet to miss a game this season, but he's coming off a poor performance against the Raptors on Saturday. Before the dud, Pritchard averaged 17.3 points, 2.8 assists and 1.3 steals in 28.8 minutes per game across his prior 12 appearances. If he's sidelined, Jordan Walsh and Sam Hauser would be candidates for increased roles.
Nov 14, 2024
Bounces back in win
Pritchard finished Wednesday's 139-114 victory over Brooklyn with 23 points (8-13 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 2-4 FT), six rebounds, eight assists, one block and two steals in 36 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard shot just 2-for-8 from the field in his last appearance Tuesday against the Hawks, but he made up for it with a big night Wednesday. He led the Boston bench with 23 points and set top marks on the season in rebounds and assists. Pritchard has now reached the 20-point threshold three times in November.
Nov 13, 2024
Rough shooting night
Pritchard registered six points (2-8 FG, 2-8 3Pt), one rebound, two assists and three steals over 25 minutes during Tuesday's 117-116 loss to the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard struggled from the field, a blip on what has been an otherwise strong season thus far. Despite the talented roster surrounding him, Pritchard has established himself as one of the more reliable bench scorers in the NBA. While this was far from his best outing, his role is secure and he should look to bounce back against the Nets on Wednesday.
Nov 10, 2024
Shines from deep in win
Pritchard produced 18 points (6-10 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three assists and one rebound across 23 minutes during Sunday's 113-107 win over the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard is positioning himself for a Sixth Man of The Year campaign through 11 regular-season outings. The 26-year-old has drained three or more three-pointers in five consecutive games, during which he has also scored at least 16 points in each game. Pritchard continues to provide a crucial spark off the bench, and he has averaged 16.5 points, 3.9 three-pointers, 2.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 steals across 28.1 minutes per game.
Nov 8, 2024
Drops 20 points Friday
Pritchard finished Friday's 108-104 overtime win over the Nets with 20 points (6-11 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 5-5 FT), one rebound and one steal over 34 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard continues to be the Celtics' spark plug off the bench this season, as he logged 20 points Friday for the third time. With Jaylen Brown (hip) sidelined, Pritchard has stepped into a larger scoring role alongside Jayson Tatum, Derrick White and Jrue Holiday, and the fifth-year point guard has been particularly lethal from three-point range. Through the first 10 games of the 2024-25 regular season, Pritchard is averaging 16.4 points on 46.5 percent shooting (including 41.3 percent from three on 9.2 3PA/G), 2.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.1 steals over 28.7 minutes per game.
Nov 5, 2024
Extends impressive start to season
Pritchard finished with 18 points (7-12 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, four assists and one steal across 25 minutes during Monday's 123-93 victory over Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard has been one of the most productive bench players in the first two weeks of the regular season, and the numbers back him up. He's scored at least 15 points in all but one of his last seven outings, a span in which he's averaging 17.9 points per game while shooting an impressive 47.7 percent from three-point range.
Nov 2, 2024
Lethal from deep Saturday
Pritchard logged 22 points (8-15 FG, 6-12 3Pt), three rebounds and two assists over 29 minutes during Saturday's 113-103 victory over Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard continued his strong play off the bench Saturday, and he had the ball in his hands more due to Jaylen Brown (hip) being sidelined. Pritchard hit five of his six threes in the first quarter, and he finished Saturday's game as the Celtics' second-leading scorer behind Jayson Tatum (29). Through the first seven games of the regular season, Pritchard is averaging 15.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.3 steals across 27.9 minutes per contest.
Oct 30, 2024
On court during crunch time
Pritchard registered 16 points (5-14 FGT, 4-11 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one steal over 38 minutes during Wednesday's 135-132 overtime loss to Indiana.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard has bounced back from the 1-for-10 outing on Opening Night to score 15-plus points over his last four regular-season games. Interestingly, Pritchard found himself on the floor during the fourth quarter and overtime alongside Derrick White as Jrue Holiday watched from the bench. It may have been a matchup decision by head coach Joe Mazulla to have Pritchard on the floor instead of Holiday, but it's clear the Celtics trust Pritchard during high-pressure moments. Over his last four outings, Pritchard has averaged 19.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists across 28.4 minutes per game.
Oct 28, 2024
Ties franchise record in win
Pritchard racked up 28 points (10-14 FG, 8-12 3Pt), five rebounds, three assists and two steals in 28 minutes during Monday's 119-108 win over the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard tied Eddie House's franchise record for three-pointers made off the bench, hitting eight in the contest including a buzzer-beater to end the third quarter. The sharpshooter was a problem for Milwaukee all night long as he scored 19 of his 28 points in the first half, ending as the club's second-highest scorer behind Jaylen Brown (30). Pritchard will continue to provide a spark off the bench for the Celtics, and he has now tallied 15-plus points in three consecutive matchups.
Oct 27, 2024
Shines off bench once again
Pritchard recorded 19 points (5-8 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds and a steal across 19 minutes off the bench in Saturday's 124-118 win over the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard has scored at least 15 points while draining at least five threes in his last two outings off the bench, and the former Oregon standout is enjoying an excellent start to the campaign. His overall fantasy upside shouldn't be very high due to the uncertainty that comes with his bench role. That said, Pritchard is turning quite a few heads with his play as an elite three-point shooting threat in an already-stacked Boston roster.
Oct 25, 2024
Strong numbers off bench
Pritchard registered 15 points (5-11 FG, 5-10 3Pt), one rebound and two assists in 28 minutes during Thursday's 122-102 win over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
The Celtics cruised to an easy victory against the Wizards and Pritchard made his presence felt off the bench with his efficient shooting from beyond the arc. He was limited to just three points across 25 minutes in the season-opening win against the Knicks on Tuesday, but he bounced back admirably here. If Pritchard finds a way to score in double digits off the bench on a regular basis, he could play his way into fantasy relevancy in category-based leagues and deep formats.
Oct 23, 2024
Struggles from the field
Pritchard provided three points (1-10 FG, 1-9 3Pt), four rebounds and four assists over 25 minutes during Tuesday's 132-109 win over the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
FastPP was part of a messy fourth quarter where the Celtics missed their last 13 three-point attempts as they tried to break the single game record for most made threes. The game was well in hand for Boston by that point, so hunting for an NBA record was all in good fun. Expect Pritchard's shot to return Friday at Washington. Pritchard should continue his role as "scorer off the bench" for the near future.
Oct 22, 2024
Coming off bench Opening Night
Pritchard will come off the bench for Tuesday's game against the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard entered the starting lineup often during the preseason, though Jrue Holiday will reclaim his starting spot Opening Night. Pritchard will likely play a significant role off the bench, but he will have to compete for playing time with Sam Hauser and Jaden Springer on the wing.
Oct 16, 2024
Drains five threes Tuesday
Pritchard scored 15 points (5-11 FG, 5-10 3Pt) while adding three rebounds, two assists and two steals in 29 minutes during Tuesday's 119-118 preseason loss to the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Getting the start in place of Jrue Holiday (rest), Pritchard put on an impressive display from long range. The fifth-year guard will be the floor leader for Boston's second unit this season, with his primary fantasy value coming from beyond the arc -- Pritchard averaged a career-high 1.8 threes per game in 2023-24 on 38.5 percent shooting.
Oct 14, 2024
Hands out nine dimes
Pritchard delivered 19 points (7-13 FG, 5-11 3Pt), five rebounds and nine assists across 24 minutes in Sunday's 115-111 preseason win over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard had an excellent showing in this preseason win Sunday, and there's no question he took advantage of the opportunity after the Celtics decided to rest several players who featured in the win over the 76ers on Saturday. Pritchard has a strong grip as the backup point guard behind Jrue Holiday, but given how the Celtics' rotation is currently constructed, he's not expected to have a lot of fantasy upside outside of being a streaming alternative in deep formats.
Oct 13, 2024
Gets spot start
Pritchard will start Sunday's preseason game against the Raptors, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard steps into the starting lineup with Boston electing to rest the majority of their key players. Pritchard will likely be the focal point offensively for a very limited Celtics squad.
Oct 4, 2024
Scores game-high 21 points
Pritchard finished with 21 points (6-13 FG, 6-12 3Pt, 3-4 FT), four rebounds and six assists across 25 minutes in Friday's 107-103 preseason win over the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
There's no question Pritchard made the most of his opportunity in this preseason opener, carrying the Celtics in scoring and showing he's ready to handle a bigger role off the bench if called upon duty. Pritchard averaged a career-high 9.6 points per game in 2023-24 while making 38.5 percent of his threes, so he should be a reliable weapon off the bench for Boston, though his fantasy upside will be minimal if he continues to play almost exclusively off the bench.
Jun 18, 2024
Drains clutch 3 in Game 5 win
Pritchard posted three points (1-1 FG, 1-1 3Pt) in under one minute of run in Monday's 106-88 Game 5 Championship-clinching win over the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
As he did periodically during the season and post-season, Pritchard once again drained a half-court end-of-quarter three just when the Celtics needed a boost. In Game 5, he heaved a half-court triple with under four seconds to help Boston take a 21-point lead into halftime. It was a lead the Celtics would never relinquish and earned Boston its 18th banner. Pritchard hit three triples over five 2024 NBA Finals games. FastPP has three more years remaining on his current contract, so expect more off-the-bench heroics moving forward.
Jun 18, 2024
Drains clutch 3 in Game 5 win
Pritchard posted three points (1-1 FG, 1-1 3Pt) in under one minute of playing time during Monday's 106-88 win over Dallas in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
ANALYSIS
As he did periodically during the regular season and postseason, Pritchard once again drained a half-court end-of-quarter three just when the Celtics needed a boost. In Game 5, he heaved a half-court triple with under four seconds to help Boston take a 21-point lead into halftime. It was a lead the Celtics would never relinquish as Boston earned its 18th banner. Pritchard hit three triples over five 2024 NBA Finals games. He has three years remaining on his current contract, so expect more off-the-bench heroics moving forward.
May 22, 2024
Records eight points off bench
Pritchard logged eight points (3-4 FG, 2-3 3Pt) and two assists over 23 minutes during Tuesday's 133-128 overtime win over the Pacers in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
ANALYSIS
The Celtics are using a very tight eight-man rotation right now, but Pritchard is pretty clearly the sixth man for the foreseeable future. He's been excellent through 11 playoff appearances, averaging 7.8 points, 2.5 assists and 2.3 rebounds while hitting 47.0 percent from the field and 44.7 percent from beyond the arc.
May 9, 2024
Leads bench again in Game 2
Pritchard notched 13 points (6-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt), four assists, two rebounds and one steal over 20 minutes in Thursday's 118-94 loss to the Cavaliers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard once again provide a spark off the Celtics bench in Thursday's contest, leading all Boston bench players in scoring and assists while ending as one of five Celtics in double figures in scoring in a losing effort. Pritchard has had a strong semifinals series through two games, reaching double figures in both games while playing at least 20 minutes off the bench in both contests. It will be key for the Celtics to get contributions from Pritchard and the rest of the bench this series, and we will likely continue to see Pritchard earn a large chunk of minutes on the second unit.
Apr 21, 2024
Returning to second unit
Pritchard will come off the bench for Sunday's Game 1 against Miami.
ANALYSIS
After starting the final two regular season contests, Pritchard will return to his typical bench role while Jrue Holiday and Derrick White anchor the backcourt. In addition to the aforementioned guards, Boston will roll with it's fully healthy starting lineup Sunday, featuring Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and Kristaps Porzingis.
Apr 15, 2024
Flirts with triple-double
Pritchard recorded 38 points (15-21 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), nine rebounds and 12 assists across 44 minutes during Sunday's 132-122 victory over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Two days after scoring a career-high 31 points, Pritchard followed that up with a 38-12-9 line Sunday. He was one rebound shy of notching the first triple-double of his career, and he played a season-high 44 minutes with the Celtics resting all of their starters plus Al Horford (rest). Pritchard ends the regular season notching career highs across most statistical categories, and in April he averaged 18.8 points on 55.9 percent shooting, 3.6 rebounds and 7.0 assists over 29.4 minutes per game.
Apr 13, 2024
Career night versus Charlotte
Pritchard notched 31 points (14-22 FG, 3-8 3Pt), three rebounds, 11 assists and one steal in 31 minutes during Friday's 131-98 victory over Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard scored a career-high 31 points Friday and was the main guy for the Celtics with the team sitting all five of their starters plus Al Horford (toe). It was the third double-double of the season for Pritchard, and the fourth-year guard out of Oregon has played a key role off the bench for Boston this season. Pritchard is averaging 16.0 points on 52.2 percent shooting, 2.9 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.0 steals over 27.3 minutes per game in April.
Apr 12, 2024
Draws start Friday
Pritchard is starting Friday's game against the Hornets, John Karalis of BostonSportsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Celtics are resting their entire usual group of starters Friday, so Pritchard will enter the starting lineup for the penultimate game of the regular season. Over three starts this year, he's averaged 18.0 points, 8.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds in 35.3 minutes per game.
Apr 7, 2024
Boosts offensively off bench in win
Pritchard finished with 20 points (9-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt), three rebounds, eight assists and one steal in 26 minutes during Sunday's 124-107 victory over the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard led all Celtics bench players in scoring and assists while ending two dimes shy of the double-digit mark to provide an offensive lift on the Boston second unit. Pritchard has handed out at least eight assists in seven games this season, adding 20 or more points in two of those outings. He has now surpassed the 20-point mark in nine appearances, including in two straight games.
Apr 4, 2024
Hands out eight dimes off bench
Pritchard produced 11 points (4-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, eight assists and two steals over 28 minutes during Wednesday's 135-100 victory over Oklahoma City.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard seemed to have cooled off in his last three games, but he delivered another quality showing here, taking advantage of the uptick in minutes and finishing just two assists away from a double-double. Despite coming off the bench, Pritchard has now scored in double digits in seven of his last 10 appearances, a span in which he's averaging 13.0 points, 6.1 assists and 3.4 rebounds per contest.
Mar 26, 2024
Quality play continues
Pritchard accumulated 15 points (7-12 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 0-2 FT), five rebounds and six assists over 28 minutes during Monday's 120-118 loss to the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard lead Boston with the six assists Monday, doing so without committing a turnover. Additionally, it's an encouraging sign to see Pritchard score efficiently on a night when his three-point shot was cold. The 26-year-old is averaging 18.4 points and 6.6 assists while making 3.4 triples in 33.8 minutes across his last five games, and he profiles as a strong option if Jrue Holiday (shoulder) and Derrick White (hand) continue missing time in the future.
Mar 23, 2024
Back to bench
Pritchard will return to a reserve role in Saturday's game versus the Bulls, Sean Grande of NBC Sports Boston reports.
ANALYSIS
The Celtics are opting to go with a big frontcourt against the Bulls, so Pritchard will come off the bench. However, Jrue Holiday (shoulder), Jaylen Brown (ankle) and Kristaps Porzingis (hamstring) are all out, so the point guard could still see a healthy workload as a reserve.
Mar 23, 2024
Pops for 20 in Friday's start
Pritchard accumulated 20 points (8-15 FG, 4-9 3Pt), two rebounds and nine assists across 38 minutes during Friday's 129-102 victory over the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Getting his third start of the season, Pritchard has another strong performance from long distance. The fourth-year guard has played more than 30 minutes in four straight games due to a shoulder injury to Jrue Holiday and drained multiple threes each time, going 16-for-31 (51.6) from three-point range. Pritchard has averaged 19.0 points, 8.0 assists, 4.0 threes and 3.8 boards during that run of increased usage, and while Holiday's shoulder bruise isn't thought to be serious, he could miss another game or two as the Celtics focus on keeping him fully healthy for the postseason.
Mar 22, 2024
Moves into starting lineup
Pritchard will start Friday's game against the Pistons, Sean Grande of NBC Sports Boston reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard will draw his third start of March as the Celtics continue to rest players with the No. 1 seed essentially locked up. Over his last seven appearances (two starts), Pritchard has averaged 12.9 points, 5.0 assists and 4.0 rebounds in 28.7 minutes per game.
Mar 20, 2024
Provides spark off bench vs. Bucks
Pritchard chipped in 19 points (7-11 FG, 5-8 3Pt), six rebounds and three assists over 31 minutes in Wednesday's 122-119 win over the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard shifted back to the bench Wednesday with Jayson Tatum returning from a one-game absence. Pritchard provided heavy minutes with Jrue Holiday (shoulder) sidelined, with the former playing particularly well in the second quarter to help Boston enter halftime with a double-digit lead. He's now scored in double digits in six of his last seven games and has hit five threes over his last two appearances. There were plenty of questions in the offseason regarding the Celtics' role players, but Pritchard has carved a decisive role for himself on the top team in the NBA.
Mar 20, 2024
Shifts back to bench
Pritchard will retreat to the second unit for Wednesday's game against the Bucks, Sean Grande of NBC Sports Boston reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard had started in each of the last two games that Jrue Holiday (shoulder) has missed, however, he'll be part of the reserves against Milwaukee despite Holiday's absence. Instead, Derrick White will handle point guard duties alongside Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Al Horford and Kristaps Porzingis. Pritchard should still see a hefty workload behind White on Wednesday.
Mar 19, 2024
Booms for 23 points
Pritchard totaled 23 points (8-14 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and seven assists in 38 minutes during Monday's 119-94 win over Detroit.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard entered Monday's contest averaging just 7.5 points across six contests in which Jrue Holiday (shoulder) has been unavailable this season, but Detroit offered a prime matchup to capitalize on the extra usage available -- especially since Jayson Tatum (ankle) was also inactive. Pritchard continued his trend of being a dangerous shooter at home this season, where he's connecting on 41.8 percent of 4.4 threes per game.
Mar 18, 2024
Back with first unit
Pritchard is starting Monday's game against the Pistons, Sean Grande of NBC Sports Boston reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard is set to start at point guard due to the absence of Jrue Holiday (shoulder). This marks Pritchard's second start of the month, as he finished with 11 points, eight rebounds and eight assists in 30 minutes March 11 in a spot start against the Blazers.
Mar 17, 2024
Spark off bench in season high game
Pritchard ended with 14 points (6-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt), 13 assists, five rebounds and one steal over 35 minutes in Sunday's 130-104 win over Washington.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard lifted Boston on the second unit, leading all players in Sunday's contest in assists to go along with a bench-high-tying point total en route to recording the lone double-double in the contest. Pritchard set a new season high in assists, his first double-digit total of the year. He has played well off the Celtics bench as of late, recording 10 or more points in four of his last five outings.
Mar 12, 2024
Moves back to bench
Pritchard isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
The Celtics made a last-minute lineup swap, with Sam Hauser starting over Pritchard. Pritchard is averaging 8.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 18.0 minutes across his last five appearances coming off the bench.
Mar 12, 2024
Well-rounded numbers in start
Pritchard finished with 11 points (5-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt), eight rebounds and eight assists across 30 minutes in Monday's 121-99 win over the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Starting for the first time all season, Pritchard predictably took on a heightened minutes count and was able to come through with a useful all-around line for fantasy managers who streamed him in. Jrue Holiday (knee) has already been cleared to play Tuesday against the Jazz after sitting out Monday to facilitate Pritchard's move into the starting five, but with Jaylen Brown (back) idle for the second leg of the back-to-back set, Pritchard could still have a path to seeing more minutes than usual even if he moves back to the bench.
Mar 11, 2024
Draws spot start
Pritchard is starting Monday's game against the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard will get the nod at point guard with Jrue Holiday (knee) listed out for Monday's matchup. This marks Pritchard's first start of the 2023-24 campaign.
Mar 3, 2024
Shines off bench in blowout win
Pritchard registered 19 points (8-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt), six rebounds, six assists and two steals over 27 minutes during Sunday's 140-88 win over Golden State.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard led all bench players in Sunday's contest in scoring while hauling in a half-dozen rebounds and assists to go along with a team-high-tying pair of steals in a well-rounded outing off the bench. Pritchard has tallied 15 or more points in eight games this year, recording at least six boards and six dimes in three appearances.
Feb 15, 2024
Season-high 28 points vs. Nets
Pritchard recorded 28 points (11-16 FG, 6-9 3Pt), four rebounds and three assists over 32 minutes during Wednesday's 136-86 victory over the Nets.
ANALYSIS
With the Celtics up by as many as 56 points, Pritchard saw 30-plus minutes of playing time for the first time since Jan. 11 against the Bucks. It was the second time this season that the fourth-year guard tallied six threes in a game. Pritchard is averaging 20.7 minutes per game this season and will have opportunities to contribute more on the offensive end on nights where Derrick White and Jrue Holiday are struggling from the field or sitting out.
Feb 13, 2024
Poor production continues
Pritchard recorded three points (1-6 FG, 1-5 3Pt), three rebounds and one assist in 15 minutes during Tuesday's 118-110 win over the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard scored single digits for the seventh time in the past eight games, continuing his mediocre season. Despite averaging 20.4 minutes per contest, Pritchard is well outside the top 200 in standard formats. Outside of incidental streaming opportunities, he has no real fantasy value.
Feb 5, 2024
Can't connect from deep
Pritchard racked up six points (2-8 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, three assists and one steal over 15 minutes during Sunday's 131-91 win over the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard has scored in single digits in four straight games, shooting just 34.8 percent from the field during that stretch. He's averaging career highs across the board, but he still isn't relevant in standard fantasy leagues, even with a guy like Jaylen Brown (back) sidelined.
Jan 23, 2024
Unimpressive in win
Pritchard totaled five points (2-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt), seven rebounds, six assists, one block and one steal in 24 minutes during Monday's 119-110 victory over the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard's workload was typical, although no momentum was on display despite posting 6-for-10 shooting from deep across three prior contests. He co-led Boston in assists while looking comfortable on-ball, but he remains merely a streaming candidate for fantasy purposes when Boston is resting key contributors.
Jan 14, 2024
Impresses off bench once again
Pritchard logged 19 points (7-10 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and three assists in 23 minutes during Saturday's 145-113 victory over the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard has scored in double digits in three of his last four outings off the bench, though the last two contests have been blowouts where he's benefited from extra minutes. In regular circumstances, however, he doesn't carry a lot of upside, and he should be better left on the wire outside of deep formats. Even in those circumstances, he offers little outside of three-point shots and a few assists here and there.
Jan 12, 2024
Ties season high off bench in loss
Pritchard amassed 21 points (6-13 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 7-7 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one block in 31 minutes during Thursday's 135-102 loss to Milwaukee.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard led all Celtics in scoring while tying a season high mark in points scored in extended time off the bench due to the blowout nature of Thursday's game. Pritchard, who also finished perfect at the free throw line, has surpassed the 20-point mark in four contests this year.
Jan 9, 2024
Scores in double figures
Pritchard amassed 14 points (5-6 FG, 4-5 3Pt), seven rebounds and three assists across 23 minutes during Monday's 133-131 loss to the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard made at least four three-pointers in a game for just the fourth time this season en route to his highest-scoring output since Dec. 20. He also tied his season high with seven rebounds. Since the beginning of January (18 appearances), Pritchard has averaged 8.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 20.6 minutes per game.
Dec 29, 2023
Modest production off bench
Pritchard finished with nine points (4-11 FG, 1-6 3Pt), four rebounds, two assists and one steal over 24 minutes during Thursday's 128-122 overtime win over Detroit.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard topped 20 minutes of playing time for the fifth time in the last seven matchups, but he was inefficient from beyond the arc and was unable to post a double-digit scoring total. Across his last seven outings, he's averaged 12.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 22.4 minutes per game.
Dec 16, 2023
Impresses off bench Friday
Pritchard had 21 points (7-10 FG, 6-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, five assists and one steal across 28 minutes during Friday's 128-111 win over the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard tied his best scoring mark of the campaign, and while the nature of his role off the bench limits his upside considerably, he is prone to have scoring exploits from time to time due to his shooting ability. Even though Pritchard has scored in double digits in five of his last 11 contests, his upside is not very high even in the deeper formats.
Dec 15, 2023
Tallies three rebounds off bench
Pritchard ended with zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and one block over 14 minutes during Thursday's 116-107 victory over the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard had minimal shot volume Thursday and was held scoreless for the second time in the last four matchups. He's still managed to make some contributions through rebounds and assists during that time, but those results haven't been enough to make him a reliable fantasy consideration. Over five appearances this month, the 25-year-old has averaged 4.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 16.6 minutes per game.
Dec 5, 2023
Held scoreless across 15 minutes
Pritchard ended with zero points (0-5 FG, 0-4 3Pt), four rebounds and two assists across 15 minutes during Monday's 122-112 loss to the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Coming into the contest, Pritchard had averaged 10.0 points on 47.8 percent shooting over his previous six appearances. However, he fell flat during the In-Season Tournament loss, missing all five of his shots en route to his first scoreless outing since Nov. 8. Pritchard is averaging a career-high 20.5 minutes per game this season, but he's not delivering consistent production.
Nov 27, 2023
Hits two triples in win
Pritchard posted six points (2-6 FG, 2-6 3Pt) and two rebounds and zero turnovers over 20 minutes in Sunday's 113-103 home win over the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Sunday marked Jrue Holiday's (ankle) second consecutive missed game. Unfortunately, Pritchard once again was not able to seize the opportunity to earn extra minutes at point guard. Coach Joe Mazzulla decided to shift Derek White to the point and started Dalano Banton at shooting guard. Pritchard continues to struggle with his three-point shot. He is now shooting 32.2 percent this season from behind the arc.
Nov 21, 2023
Goes off in loss
Pritchard notched 21 points (8-14 FG, 5-8 3Pt), six rebounds, three assists and two steals across 33 minutes during Monday's 121-118 overtime loss to Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard dropped a season-high 21 points Monday, taking advantage of the absence of Derrick White (personal). While this was a great performance, managers should take note that prior to Monday, Pritchard had scored double-digits only twice. Viewing this as an outlier, he is not worth adding outside of very deep formats.
Nov 4, 2023
Shooting woes continue
Pritchard eked out zero points (0-4 FG, 0-4 3Pt) and two assists over 19 minutes in Saturday's 124-114 win in Brooklyn.
ANALYSIS
On a night with fellow guard Derrick White (personal) out, Pritchard had an opportunity to see big minutes. But, unfortunately, FastPP's shooting woes continued despite Brooklyn's poor defense. The reserve guard is now shooting 29.6 percent from the field over Boston's first five games. On Saturday, he generated a minus-10 point differential. Expect Pritchard to eventually break out of his slump, but his minutes will stay minimal until he does so. Maybe he'll turn things around Monday night in Minnesota.
Nov 2, 2023
Just misses double-double
Pritchard racked up 15 points (6-10 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds and nine assists over 26 minutes during Wednesday's 155-104 win over the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
The game was effectively over at halftime, and Boston's key bench players wound up seeing extra run as the team rested starters in the fourth quarter. Pritchard took advantage, nearly recording his second career double-double while scoring in double digits for the first time in 2023-24. The fourth-year guard won't see consistent usage in a deep Celtics' backcourt, but as he showed at the end of last season, Pritchard has the ability to post strong fantasy numbers when he gets the opportunity.
Oct 31, 2023
Struggles from field
Pritchard amassed zero points (0-8 FG, 0-6 3Pt), seven rebounds, six assists and one steal in 25 minutes during Monday's 126-107 victory over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
After playing an average of 12.0 minutes in his previous two games, Pritchard saw extended run Monday due to the lopsided score. While he rebounded and did a solid job facilitating, Pritchard going 0-of-8 from the field was disappointing considering how hot he was in the preseason.
Oct 17, 2023
Heads to second unit
Pritchard will come off the bench for Tuesday's preseason game against New York, John Karalis of BostonSportsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard returns to his designated role off the bench. Jrue Holiday and Derrick White start in the backcourt alongside Boston's full cast of key contributors.
Oct 12, 2023
Another strong performance
Pritchard notched 17 points (7-15 FG, 3-9 3Pt), a rebound, three assists and a steal across 24 minutes off the bench in Wednesday's 112-101 preseason win over the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard has been one of the best players in the preseason and is making a solid case to earn a more prominent role off the bench by the time the regular season begins. Through three preseason contests, the guard, who recently signed a four-year extension with Boston worth $30 million, is averaging 21.3 points per game.
Oct 11, 2023
Returns to bench
Pritchard isn't in the starting five for Wednesday's preseason game versus the 76ers, Tim Bontemps of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard will return to the bench, with Derrick White and Jrue Holiday returning to the starting lineup. Pritchard is expected to serve as Boston's backup point guard this season.
Oct 10, 2023
Strong outing against NYK
Pritchard recorded 21 points (7-15 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds, five assists and three steals across 29 minutes in Monday's 114-107 preseason loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard recently signed a four-year, $30 million extension before the preseason opener, and he has backed that up with 20 or more points in each of his first two preseason contests as well. While he's not expected to become a regular starter overnight, Pritchard should see a bigger role off the bench compared to previous seasons, presumably as Jrue Holiday's or Derrick White's backup. To note, Pritchard averaged a career-low 13.4 minutes per game in 2022-23.
Oct 9, 2023
Moves into starting lineup
Pritchard will start Monday's game against the Knicks, Abby Chin of NBC Sports Boston reports.
ANALYSIS
Fresh off a 26-point performance in the preseason opener Sunday, Pritchard will now get a shot in the starting lineup, as Boston is resting its usual starters for the second night of a back-to-back set. Pritchard will be joined by Sam Hauser, Oshae Brissett, Dalano Banton and Luke Kornet.
Oct 9, 2023
Shines after signing extension
Pritchard registered 26 points (9-14 FG, 6-11 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four assists, two rebounds and one steal in 23 minutes during Sunday's 114-106 win over Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard signed a four-year, $30 million extension before the preseason opener and then scored a team-high 26 points on elite shooting efficiency. It was certainly an eventful day for the offensive-minded point guard, who's slated for a bigger role this year after Boston made numerous offseason changes. After seeing 19.2 minutes per game as a rookie, Pritchard's playing time has dropped in back-to-back campaigns. However, Marcus Smart and Malcolm Brogdon are no longer in the picture, and Boston only added one guard -- Jrue Holiday -- in return, leaving Pritchard as the top guard behind Holiday, Jaylen Brown and Derrick White. It's still unclear how the starting lineup will shake out, but Pritchard has clearly moved up a notch on the depth chart and may get to play closer to 20 minutes per game again, especially if he continues to shoot like he did Sunday.
Oct 8, 2023
Earns multi-year extension
Pritchard signed a four-year, $30 million extension with Boston on Sunday, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard has been a rotational contributor for Boston across three seasons in the league, bottoming out at 13.4 minutes per game last year, but he's due for an expanded role in 2023-24. The 25-year-old has rained in 40.0 percent of 3.5three-point attempts in his career, and he profiles as the third guard behind Jrue Holiday and Derrick White. Boston's confidence signing him to a long-term deal bodes well for his expected usage moving forward.
Apr 15, 2023
With second unit for Game 1
Pritchard will come off the bench for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference First Round on Saturday versus Atlanta, Sean Grande of NBC Sports Boston reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard drew the starting nod in the Celtics' regular-season finale and logged a 30-point triple-double in 46 minutes. However, he is expected to retreat to his usual role as a depth piece in the backcourt and will likely struggle to crack Boston's playoff rotation.
Apr 9, 2023
Historic triple-double as starter
Pritchard closed Sunday's 120-114 victory over Atlanta with 30 points (10-21 FG, 9-16 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 14 rebounds and 11 assists across 46 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard got a starting nod Sunday due to Boston resting numerous regular starters in the regular-season finale, finishing the win with a 30-point triple-double while leading all players in scoring, rebounds, assists and threes made. Pritchard posted a career-high point total in his first-ever triple-double, becoming the third player in franchise history to score 30 points with at least 13 rebounds and 11 assists, joining John Havlicek and Larry Bird.
Apr 9, 2023
Will start regular-season finale
Pritchard will start Sunday against the Hawks, Jared Weiss of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The Celtics are resting numerous regulars after locking up the No. 2 seed, so Pritchard draws the start at shooting guard and will be joined by Derrick White, Sam Hauser, Mike Muscala and Blake Griffin. Across his previous two starts this season, Pritchard has averaged 6.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists in 29.5 minutes per game.
Apr 8, 2023
Scores 22 off bench
Pritchard posted 22 points (9-14 FG, 4-8 3Pt), four rebounds and five assists across 24 minutes during Friday's 121-102 win over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
With Marcus Smart sitting out Friday (neck), Pritchard saw solid minutes in his return after missing the last 11 games with a heel injury. Any concerns of looking rusty quickly went away as he led all reserves with 22 points, hitting four shots from deep, and added some nice assist and rebound numbers. The third-year guard is seeing incremental improvements in his season averages. Most noteworthy might be his playing time, as he's seen 19.2 minutes per game, five minutes better than last year.
Apr 7, 2023
Set to play Friday
Pritchard (heel) is available for Friday's game versus the Raptors, Jay King of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard has been upgraded from questionable to available Friday despite some left heel soreness. While he has barely seen any playing time the past two months, Marcus Smart's (neck) and Malcolm Brogdon's (back) absences should open up room in the rotation for Pritchard.
Apr 7, 2023
Takes part in shootaround
Pritchard (heel) was on the floor for monring shootaround Friday, Bobby Manning of the Boston Sports Journal reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard was listed as questionable for Friday's contest but is seemingly on track to join in on the action if shootaround is any indication. Neither Marcus Smart (neck) nor Malcolm Brogdon (back) was spotted, which could line Pritchard up for more minutes than usual if he gets the green light.
Apr 6, 2023
Iffy for Friday
Pritchard (heel) is questionable for Friday's game against the Raptors, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard continues to deal with a lingering heel issue and is in danger of missing a third straight game. However, even when he's been available, he hasn't been a regular part of Boston's rotation lately.
Apr 5, 2023
Downgraded to out
Pritchard (heel) won't play in Wednesday's game versus the Raptors, Sean Grande of NBC Sports Boston reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard will miss his second straight game Tuesday after being downgraded from questionable to out with left heel pain. His next chance to suit up is Friday's rematch with Toronto.
Apr 5, 2023
Questionable Wednesday
Pritchard (heel) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard was unavailable Tuesday against Philadelphia due to left heel pain, and it's unclear whether he'll be available for the second half of the back-to-back set. If he sits out again Wednesday, Derrick White should continue to see increased run.
Apr 4, 2023
Officially ruled out
Pritchard (heel) won't play in Tuesday's game versus the 76ers, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard has been downgraded from questionable to out Tuesday due to left heel soreness. His next chance to suit up is Wednesday's matchup with Toronto.
Apr 4, 2023
Late addition to injury report
Pritchard is questionable for Tuesday's game against the 76ers due to left heel pain, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Despite not showing up on the injury report, Pritchard hasn't appeared in back-to-back games, so his potential absence Tuesday shouldn't impact Boston's rotation.
Mar 31, 2023
Cleared for action
Pritchard (heel) is available for Friday's game against the Jazz, Jared Weiss of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard has been upgraded from questionable to available, but he's not guaranteed to see any playing time with Boston's backcourt fully healthy. Over his last four appearances, he's averaging 3.0 points and 2.0 rebounds in 9.0 minutes per game.
Mar 31, 2023
Questionable vs. Utah
Pritchard (heel) is questionable for Friday's game against the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard has missed 10 of the last 11 games due to left heel pain, and it's unclear whether he'll be able to suit up Friday. However, his status shouldn't have a major impact on Boston's rotation.
Mar 30, 2023
Won't play Thursday
Pritchard (heel) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard will be unavailable for the 10th time in the last 11 matchups due to his left heel pain. It's unclear whether he'll suit up for Friday's matchup against the Jazz, but his status shouldn't significantly impact Boston's rotation.
Mar 29, 2023
Iffy against Milwaukee
Pritchard is questionable for Thursday's game versus the Bucks due to left heel pain, Taylor Snow of the Celtics' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard has already missed nine of the Celtics' last 10 games with a heel injury. The Celtics may hold him out of either leg of the team's back-to-back on Thursday and Friday.
Mar 29, 2023
Gets nine minutes in blowout
Pritchard (heel) logged five points (2-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist across nine minutes in Tuesday's 130-111 loss to the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard was cleared to play for the first time since March 6 following a nine-game absence due to left heel soreness, but he wasn't a part of head coach Joe Mazzulla's rotation. The third-year guard didn't check into the game until 9:21 remained in the fourth quarter, when Boston was already facing a 22-point lead and essentially conceding defeat. In competitive games in which Boston has all of Marcus Smart, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Derrick White and Malcolm Brogdon available, Pritchard doesn't look as though he'll be in store for playing time.
Mar 28, 2023
Says he'll play Tuesday
Pritchard (heel) said he'll play Tuesday against the Wizards, Jared Weiss of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard has missed nine straight games due to plantar fasciitis and a bone bruise in his heel, but he's expected to return to action Tuesday. However, he's not guaranteed any playing time in Boston's crowded backcourt, especially with everyone healthy.
Mar 27, 2023
Listed as probable
Pritchard (heel) is probable for Tuesday's game against the Wizards, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard has missed nine straight games due to left heel soreness, but he's on track to suit up Tuesday. However, even if he's cleared, he's not guaranteed to see any playing time in Boston's crowded backcourt.
Mar 26, 2023
Downgraded to out
Pritchard (heel) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Spurs, John Karalis of BostonSportsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard will miss a ninth straight game due to heel soreness. The backup point guard has appeared in just three games since mid-February, so his prolonged absence shouldn't change the way the Celtics have been playing recently.
Mar 25, 2023
Could be available Sunday
Pritchard (heel) is questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard has been out since early March but could make his return Sunday. That said, his presence shouldn't impact the rotation or fantasy much, especially when the rest of Boston's guards are healthy.
Mar 24, 2023
Officially ruled out
Pritchard (heel) won't play in Friday's game versus the Pacers, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard has been downgraded from doubtful to our Friday with left heel soreness. His next chance to suit up is Sunday's matchup with the Spurs.
Mar 23, 2023
Unlikely to play Friday
Pritchard (heel) is doubtful for Friday's game against Indiana.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard participated in a live workout Thursday and could return prior to the end of the regular season, but he's unlikely to suit up Friday. However, it's encouraging to see him listed as doubtful rather than being immediately ruled out. Following Friday's matchup, the Celtics have eight games remaining before the end of the regular season, and it's certainly possible Pritchard sees some game action ahead of the playoffs.
Mar 23, 2023
Gearing up for return
Coach Joe Mazzulla said Pritchard (heel) went through live workout Thursday and may return before the regular season ends, Jared Weiss of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard hasn't played since Mar. 6 due to left heel soreness. While Mazzulla's comments are encouraging, they also indicate that the 24-year-old guard is set to miss more time before retaking the court. Derrick White and Malcolm Brogdon should continue to see the majority of the backcourt minutes off the bench with Pritchard out.
Mar 20, 2023
Out Tuesday
Pritchard (heel) is ruled out for Tuesday's contest against the Kings,John Karalis of BostonSportsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Oregon product will officially miss his seventh consecutive game as he continues to tend to a heel issue. Pritchard's next chance to return to Boston's lineup comes Friday against the Pacers.
Mar 18, 2023
Out Saturday
Pritchard (heel) will not play in Saturday's game against the Jazz, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard will miss a sixth straight game Saturday with left heel soreness. Although he could return Tuesday against Sacramento, Joe Mazzulla has indicated that Pritchard may be out for the entirety of the Celtics road trip, so Friday against Indiana could be a more feasible deadline.
Mar 16, 2023
Still sidelined
Pritchard (heel) will not play in Friday's game against the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard will miss his fifth straight game with a sore left heel. He will have another chance to suit up Saturday against Utah, however, coach Joe Mazzulla indicated he could miss the remainder of the Celtics' road trip, meaning Pritchard may be out until March 24.
Mar 14, 2023
Out again
Pritchard (heel) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game in Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Pritchard remains sidelined due to left knee soreness. Head coach Joe Mazzulla previously said that the backup point guard could miss the Celtics' entire six-game road trip, which ends March 21, so barring a new update, fantasy managers should steer clear of Pritchard for the time being.
Mar 13, 2023
Listed out for Monday
Pritchard (heel) is listed as out for Monday against Houston.
ANALYSIS
Based on previous reporting, Pritchard could miss the entire road trip which ends on March 21. His absence will have minimal impact on the rotation.
Mar 9, 2023
Status uncertain for road trip
Coach Joe Mazzulla said Prtichard may miss the Celtics' upcoming road trip due to heel pain, Jared Weiss of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard hurt his heel going for a game-winner against Cleveland and then missed Wednesday's game. If he is out for the entire road trip, his next chance to return would be Mar. 24 against the Pacers. Sam Hauser and Malcolm Brogdon are candidates to see extended minutes in Pritchard's potential absence.
Mar 8, 2023
Out Wednesday
Pritchard (ankle) will not play Wednesday against the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Sam Hauser might be able to earn minutes in the teens with Pritchard on the sidelines Wednesday evening, but that doesn't mean much in fantasy hoops. As long as Derrick White and Marcus Smart are healthy, it'll be tough for the reserve guards in Boston to earn enough minutes to make a difference.
Mar 7, 2023
Iffy for Wednesday
Pritchard (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's game against Portland.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard suffered a left ankle sprain during Monday's overtime loss to Cleveland and may be sidelined for at least one additional contest. However, with Boston's backcourt at full strength, his potential absence shouldn't have a major impact.
Mar 6, 2023
Suffers injury on final play
Pritchard injured his left ankle during the last play of Monday's game against the Cavaliers, Gary Washburn of The Boston Globe reports.
ANALYSIS
The team has yet to reveal any details on the severity of Pritchard's injury, but he was examined by Cleveland's team doctors after the contest, per Washburn. He'll be considered day-to-day until more information comes to light.
Feb 13, 2023
Scores efficiently off bench
Pritchard provided 12 points (4-7 FG, 4-7 3Pt), three assists and one rebound in 18 minutes off the bench in Sunday's 119-109 win over the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Though he's typically on the fringe of head coach Joe Mazzulla's rotation when Boston is at full strength, Pritchard has now taken on 21- and 18-minute workloads over the past two games while Boston was without Jaylen Brown (face), Marcus Smart (ankle), Malcolm Brogdon (Achilles) and Al Horford (knee) for at least one of those contests. Horford is good to go moving forward after returning Sunday, but the other three guards could all be at risk of missing both legs of the Celtics' Tuesday/Wednesday back-to-back set versus Milwaukee and Detroit to close out the pre-All-Star-break schedule. As a result, Pritchard looks like a good bet to continue seeing double-digit minutes for at least one more week.
Feb 10, 2023
Scores seven points in 21 minutes
Pritchard logged seven points (3-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and one steal over 21 minutes during Friday's 127-116 victory over Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard played at least 20 minutes for the first time in over two weeks, although his production left a lot to be desired. Despite an ankle injury to Marcus Smart, Pritchard has been unable to up his production, sitting well outside the top 300 over the past two weeks. Even those in deeper formats would be better off scouring the waiver wore for more upside.
Jan 26, 2023
Heads back to bench
Pritchard will not start Thursday's game against the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard received the starting nod in Tuesday's contest with Marcus Smart (ankle), Malcolm Brogdon (personal) and Al Horford (back) sidelined, notching 42 minutes of action. However, with Brogdon and Horford healthy, the Celtics will opt for a lineup of Derrick White, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Horford and Robert Williams. It's unclear how much playing time Pritchard will receive considering he appears to be the third point guard option even with Smart out.
Jan 24, 2023
Starting against Miami
Pritchard is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard will get the nod at point guard with Marcus Smart (ankle) sidelined, and he will start in the backcourt next to Derrick White. He's made just one start this season, logging 17 minutes and recording three points, two rebounds and four assists in a loss to the Pacers on Dec. 21.
Jan 4, 2023
Garbage time special Tuesday
Pritchard ended with 17 points (7-13 FG, 3-4 3Pt) across 15 minutes during Tuesday's 150-117 loss to Oklahoma City.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard took full advantage of what was an ugly loss Tuesday, serving up a garbage time special of 17 points including three triples. The Celtics were simply embarrassed by an undermanned Thunder, affording guys like Pritchard a crack at more playing time. Despite a proven ability to hit the long ball, Pritchard's role is typically far too small to warrant attention, even in deeper formats.
Dec 28, 2022
Not on injury report
Pritchard (thigh) isn't on the injury report for Thursday's game against the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard was a late scratch for Tuesday's game against Houston due to a right thigh contusion, but he should be back in action two days later. He's averaged just 1.8 points in 6.3 minutes per game over his last four appearances.
Dec 27, 2022
Ruled out
Pritchard (thigh) has been ruled out for Tuesday's matchup against the Rockets, Jay King of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard was a late addition to the injury report Tuesday morning with a right thigh contusion and will ultimately be held out after initially being listed as questionable. The backup point guard has played fewer than five minutes in three of his past four appearances, so his availability shouldn't have a major impact on Boston's rotation.
Dec 27, 2022
Late addition to injury report
Pritchard is questionable for Tuesday's game against Houston due to a right thigh contusion.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard was a late addition to the injury report, which doesn't bode well for his availability Tuesday. However, he's played fewer than five minutes in three of his past four appearances, so his availability shouldn't have a major impact on Boston's rotation.
Dec 24, 2022
Plays one minute in win
Pritchard played just one minute and failed to record any statistic during that time in Friday's 121-109 victory over the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard continues to go in-and-out of the rotation and is out of it more often than not. He has played more than 20 minutes just once this season and not since Nov. 16. He is not worth rostering at this point unless any injuries occur ahead of him in the rotation.
Dec 23, 2022
Back to bench
Pritchard will come off the bench Friday against Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard drew a spot start Wednesday with Marcus Smart out with an illness, but Smart's return to the starting lineup Friday will push Pritchard back to his usual bench role. Across 18 appearances as a reserve, Pritchard has averaged 4.7 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 11.0 minutes.
Dec 21, 2022
Starting for Smart
Pritchard will start Wednesday's game against the Pacers, Celtics play-by-plan man Sean Grande reports.
ANALYSIS
Marcus Smart (illness) will not play, so Pritchard will slide into the lineup at point guard for his first start of the season. For the most part, Pritchard has been on the fringes of the Celtics' rotation this season, taking a backseat to Derrick White and offseason addition Malcolm Brogdon. The Oregon product should be set for a tangible increase in minutes Wednesday, making him a decent, low-cost DFS target.
Nov 12, 2022
Posts efficient shooting night
Pritchard finished with 11 points (5-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds and one steal across 16 minutes during Friday's 131-112 win over the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard has recently re-entered the fold for the Celtics after failing to see any playing time in four of his last six matchups. He's been given an opportunity to play in each of his last two contests, shooting a combined 7-for-12 from the field while collecting eight total rebounds and an assist in 24 minutes. However, he could see his recent playing time diminish once Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) is cleared to return, which could happen over the weekend.
May 20, 2022
Third straight in double figures
Pritchard amassed 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-6 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and one steal across 23 minutes during Thursday's 127-102 victory over the Heat in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard scored in double figures for a third straight game off the bench. During that stretch, the second-year point guard has averaged 14.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 23.3 minutes per game.
May 18, 2022
Scores 18 points off bench
Pritchard supplied 18 points (6-16 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, four assists and one steal over 30 minutes during Tuesday's 118-107 loss to the Heat in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard saw an increased role in the absence of Marcus Smart (foot) and made the most of his opportunity by scoring a playoff-high 18 points. If Smart returns for Game 2, Pritchard's role will likely be reduced, but the sharpshooter can still put up solid numbers in limited minutes.
May 16, 2022
Scores 14 points off bench
Pritchard finished Sunday's 109-81 win over Milwaukee in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with 14 points (5-7 FG, 4-6 3Pt), five rebounds and three assists across 17 minutes.
ANALYSIS
After scoring just four total points over the last four games, Pritchard notched a playoff-high 14 points during the critical Game 7 win. With Marcus Smart (foot) questionable for Game 1, it's possible Pritchard sees an increased role during the Eastern Conference Finals.
May 10, 2022
Contributes to win
Pritchard accumulated zero points (0-2 FG, 0-2 3Pt), three rebounds, four assists and one steal over 13 minutes during Monday's 116-108 victory over Milwaukee.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard logged a plus-14 in the box score across his limited court time. Despite failing to score, the 24-year-old supplied four assists without a turnover, as well as chipped in a steal. He's shot just 4-for-16 from beyond the arc against Milwaukee thus far, but Pritchard connected on 41.2 percent of his threes in the regular season.
Apr 21, 2022
Plays key role in fourth quarter
Pritchard finished with 10 points (5-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt), four rebounds and one assist in 16 minutes during Wednesday's 114-107 victory over the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard only played 16 minutes during the win, but he garnered a vital role down the stretch and hit some big shots to help Boston grow its lead late in the fourth quarter. The backup point guard only played eight minutes during Game 1, but after a strong showing Wednesday, it seems likely he'd get another shot to replicate his performance in Game 3.
Apr 11, 2022
Leads bench with 12 points
Pritchard recorded 12 points (4-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one steal in 15 minutes during Sunday's 139-110 win over the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard came off the bench and scored in double figures for a third time over Boston's last four games. During that stretch, he's averaged 11.8 points, 2.5 assists and 2.3 rebounds in 17.5 minutes per game.
Apr 8, 2022
Scores 12 points off bench
Pritchard closed with 12 points (5-10 FG, 2-7 3Pt), four rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 19 minutes during Thursday's 127-121 loss to the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard scored in double figures off the bench for the ninth time over his last 12 games. During that stretch, he's averaged 11.3 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 20.0 minutes per game.
Mar 21, 2022
Impressive game off bench Sunday
Pritchard accumulated 17 points (6-6 FG, 5-5 3Pt), two rebounds, three assists and one steal over 19 minutes during Sunday's 124-104 win over Denver.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard recorded his third straight game with double-digit points, making it the first time this season he's reached that streak. However, he continues to play off the bench and his role varies from game-to-game basis, so it's hard to trust him on a regular basis outside of single-day slates or very deep formats.
Mar 19, 2022
Drops 14 and eight off bench
Pritchard had 14 points (5-5 FG, 4-4 3Pt), five rebounds, eight assists and one steal over 21 minutes during Friday's 126-97 win over the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard took advantage of a blowout situation to see increased minutes in the second half, resulting in his second consecutive double-digit scoring effort. The second-year guard hasn't been fantasy-relevant, for the most part, this season, but he remains a key cog in Ime Udoka's nightly rotation.
Feb 27, 2022
Lightning strikes twice
Pritchard amassed 14 points (5-9 FG, 4-8 3Pt), six rebounds and two assists in 17 minutes during Sunday's 128-107 loss to Indiana.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard has now had back-to-back strong outings after being buried deeper on the bench since the beginning of January. He's an unsustainable 7-of-13 from beyond the arc over this two game heater, but Pritchard can be a microwave scorer when called upon. He'll look to carry his momentum into Tuesday's game against Atlanta.
Feb 27, 2022
Generates 19 points in win
Pritchard produced 19 points (8-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt), six assists and two rebounds across 27 minutes in Saturday's 113-104 win in Detroit.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard hadn't taken 12-plus field goal attempts since a December 27th loss at Minnesota. It's been an up-and-down season for the second-year guard, but he's recently settled into a nice, steady bench role as Coach Ime Udoka has stuck with essentially an eight-man rotation. Over his last seven games, Pritchard has averaged 6.6 points, 3.0 assists and 1.1 treys over 15.7 minutes per game. Boston has won 11 of their last 12 contests. They'll look to continue their winning ways Sunday at Indiana.
Feb 16, 2022
Notches season-high seven dimes
Pritchard posted five points (2-4 FG, 1-2 3Pt), two rebounds and seven assists over 19 minutes during Tuesday's 135-87 victory over the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Marcus Smart left in the second quarter with a sprained right ankle, which opened the door for Pritchard to play his most minutes off the bench since Jan. 14. The backup point guard may be in store for another increased role Wednesday, as Smart has been deemed doubtful for the Celtics' final contest before the All-Star break.
Jan 15, 2022
Scores 17 points off bench
Pritchard recorded 17 points (7-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt), three rebounds, four assists and one steal over 24 minutes during Friday's 111-99 loss to the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard led all bench scorers with 17 points and notched his seventh double-digit scoring performance of the season. After a promising rookie campaign, the Oregon product has struggled in his second year, but he's certainly still capable off an occasional offensive outburst. With Marcus Smart (thigh) likely to return to the lineup soon, Pritchard will once again have to compete with Dennis Schroder as the top guard off the bench.
Jan 12, 2022
Returning Wednesday
Pritchard (COVID-19 protocols) is available for Wednesday's contest against the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
After four missed games due to protocols, Pritchard will make his return. With Marcus Smart (thigh) out, Pritchard could see a decent role. Since the start of December, he's averaged 9.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 20.2 minutes.
Jan 11, 2022
Listed as questionable
Pritchard (COVID-19 protocols) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's contest against the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard has missed four consecutive games due to COVID-19 protocols, but he could possibly return Wednesday. With Marcus Smart (thigh) doubtful, the second-year point guard could be in line for an increased workload during his potential return to action.
Jan 9, 2022
Sitting out fourth straight game
Pritchard (COVID-19 health and safety protocols) won't be available for Monday's game against the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard is apparently still exhibiting symptoms of the virus after entering the protocols Wednesday, so he'll be sidelined for a fourth consecutive game.
Jan 5, 2022
Enters health and safety protocols
Pritchard was placed in the league's health and safety protocols Wednesday, Tim Bontemps of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It's not yet clear whether Pritchard has tested positive for COVID-19, but he'll be required to spend some time away from the team. Dennis Schroder should see increased playing time in his absence.
Dec 31, 2021
Coming off bench Friday
Pritchard will come off the bench Friday against the Suns, Tim Bontemps of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
With Marcus Smart back from a hand injury, Pritchard will return to the bench. In his past four games as a reserve, he's averaged 13.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 25.3 minutes.
Dec 28, 2021
Solid all-around game
Pritchard recorded 24 points (8-22 FG, 5-14 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds, six assists and one steal across 45 minutes during Monday's 108-103 loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard took advantage of the many absences the Celtics are dealing with and posted one of the best performances of his career. Expecting this kind of output on a regular basis will be tough, especially if the Celtics start getting healthier as the season progresses, but he can be a solid short-term asset if he remains as the team's starting point guard.
Dec 27, 2021
Will start for Smart
Pritchard will start Monday's game against Minnesota, Jay King of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
With Marcus Smart (hand) ruled out, and several other Celtics in COVID-19 protocols, Boston will turn to Pritchard as the fill-in starting point guard. This will be the first start of the season for the second-year guard, who finished Saturday's win over Milwaukee with 16 points, five rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block in 30 minutes off the bench.
Dec 19, 2021
Tallies 16 points in win
Pritchard posted 16 points (6-10 FG, 4-7 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists and one block in 28 minutes during Saturday's 114-107 win over the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard played a season-high 28 minutes for the shorthanded Celtics on Saturday and scored in double figures for the second time this year. Although the 23-year-old had been limited to just three points across his three appearances prior to Saturday's matchup, he could continue to see increased run while Boston deals with several absences.
Dec 5, 2021
Drains five triples in big win
Pritchard closed with 19 points (6-12 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, three assists and one steal in 18 minutes during Saturday's 145-117 win over the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard needed only 18 minutes to tally a season-best 19 points in what was by far his best performance of the campaign. In fact, heading into Saturday, Pritchard had totaled only 30 points and seven treys combined over 18 contests. His expanded playing time Saturday was largely due to the blowout nature of the contest -- in fact, 16 of his 19 points came in a torrid three-minute fourth-quarter stretch -- so the outlier performance isn't likely to significantly change his fantasy outlook moving forward.
Nov 22, 2021
Sees limited action in win
Pritchard chipped in zero points (0-3 FG) and one assist in six minutes during Monday's 108-90 victory over the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
The second-year guard continues to hold only a small role under coach Ime Udoka's, as he's now seen double-digit minutes in just three of the last 11 contests. Pritchard was surprisingly productive as a rookie, but the addition of Dennis Schroder has kept him on the fringes of the rotation.
Nov 1, 2021
Gets third-year option picked up
The Celtics exercised Pritchard's $2.24 million team option for 2022-23 on Monday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
After getting off to a hot start to his NBA career last season, Pritchard's productivity took a hit over the final few months of the campaign, but his stellar 58.2 true-shooting percentage made it an easy decision for the Celtics to keep him on board through 2022-23. Though Boston has lost Kemba Walker from last season's roster, the additions of Dennis Schroder and Josh Richardson have resulted in Pritchard losing out on some playing time in the early stages of 2021-22. He's averaging 15.0 minutes per game through five appearances, down from 19.2 as a rookie.
Oct 17, 2021
Available during season opener
Pritchard (nose) will be available at New York on Wednesday, according to Brian Robb of The Springfield Republican.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard will wear a face mask if he is utilized Wednesday against the Knicks. He could have it on for some games while backing up Dennis Schroder.
Oct 15, 2021
Should be back for season opener
Coach Ime Udoka said Friday that Pritchard (nose) should be good to go for the season opener on Oct. 20, Clevis Murray of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard broke his nose during Wednesday's exhibition contest and has already been ruled out for the Celtics' preseason finale. When healthy, the 6-foot-1 guard projects to have a substantial role off the bench for Boston during the regular season.
Oct 14, 2021
Ruled out Friday
Pritchard (nose) has been ruled out for Friday's preseason game against the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard sustained a nasal fracture in Wednesday's exhibition matchup and will miss at least one game as a result. It's not yet clear whether he'll be available for Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Knicks.
Oct 13, 2021
Will not return Wednesday
Pritchard (nose) suffered a nose injury and will not return to Wednesday's preseason game against the Magic, Clevis Murray of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
It is unknown how serious the injury is, so Pritchard should be considered questionable for the Celtics' preseason finale on Friday. If he cannot go Friday, he will likely have another five days to recover for the regular season opener next Wednesday.
Aug 17, 2021
Trending toward playing
Pritchard is trending toward playing in Tuesday's Summer League championship game against the Kings, Chris Grenham of Forbes Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
The second-year guard has been among the top performers in Las Vegas -- so much so that the Celtics have been lobbying for Pritchard to be held out of what's ultimately a meaningless final game. However, Pritchard has reportedly pushed to play in the title game, and as of Tuesday morning it appears he may get his wish. With that said, a final call is yet to be made, so keep an eye on Pritchard's status throughout the day before deploying him in Summer League DFS contests.
Aug 16, 2021
Status iffy for Summer League final
Pritchard's status remains clouded for Tuesday's Summer League championship game against Portland, MassLive.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It appears as though Pritchard is pushing to play in Tuesday's finale, but the Celtics would prefer the second-year guard sit out for precautionary reasons. Pritchard, himself, tweeted Sunday night that he plans to suit up, but Celtics Summer League head coach Joe Mazzulla said Pritchard did not take part in Monday's practice. "I know everyone saw what he tweeted and we're in discussions about whether it makes sense for him to come back," Mazzulla said Monday afternoon. "We're still communicating and working through that. As a coach obviously you want him there, I think we'll know more in the morning." Pritchard was excused from the Celtics' previous Summer League game due to a prior commitment, but in three appearances in Las Vegas, he's averaged 20.3 points and 8.7 assists per game.
Aug 13, 2021
Done with summer league
Pritchard's summer league season is over due to a private prior engagement he discussed with the team, John Karalis of BostonSportsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard had a strong start to the Summer League season as he neared a triple-double against the Nuggets on August 10, finishing with 21 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds. The point guard will miss the rest of the Summer League but is in line for a big role off the bench for the Celtics this upcoming season.
May 15, 2021
Starting Saturday
Pritchard will start Saturday's game against the Timberwolves, Keith Smith of Yahoo Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Kemba Walker (neck) and Marcus Smart (calf) are done for the regular season, and Pritchard will make his first start since April 19. In his two previous starts, he's averaged 8.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 30.0 minutes.
May 12, 2021
Scores 15 off bench
Pritchard registered 15 points (5-13 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and one steal in 25 minutes during Wednesday's 102-94 loss to the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
The 23-year-old bounced back after totaling just nine points over his last three games to post his 21st double-digit scoring output of the season. Before Wednesday's game, Pritchard was averaging just 6.7 points, 2.0 rebounds, 0.9 assists in 15.9 minutes over his last seven games, so the rookie's 15-point performance was an encouraging sign from a developmental standpoint. He'll look to keep it going Saturday on the road against the 13th-seeded Timberwolves.
Apr 27, 2021
Scores 28 off bench
Pritchard played 33 minutes off the bench and registered 28 points (9-16 FG, 4-10 3Pt, 6-7 FT), four assists, three rebounds and a steal Tuesday in the 119-115 loss to the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard and Jaylen Brown were the only two players to score more than 14 points and make greater than five shots in Tuesday's outing. Pritchard has seen an uptick in his performance over his last seven games, scoring in double figures six times including two 20-point performances in his last three contests. The rookie from Oregon has also topped 20 minutes six times in that span after doing so just five times in 14 March contests.
Apr 23, 2021
Adds 22 points off bench
Pritchard played 24 minutes off the bench and added 22 points (8-12 FG, 6-7 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and a block during Friday's 109-104 loss to the Nets.
ANALYSIS
The rookie out of Oregon registered his third 20-point performance of the season and first since Feb. 11 while tying his season best with six triples. Pritchard's gone for double figures in scoring in five straight outings while averaging 3.2 treys in that span. His value doesn't expand outside of the occasional scoring burst and ability to knock down shots from beyond the arc.
Apr 22, 2021
Leads bench with 10 points
Pritchard recorded 10 points (3-8 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and one steal across 21 minutes during Thursday's 99-86 win over the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard reverted back to his usual bench role with the return of Kemba Walker (illness) and led the bench in terms of minutes played and points. The rookie has scored in double figures in four-consecutive games, his longest such streak of the season.
Apr 22, 2021
Returns to bench
Pritchard will come off the bench Thursday against the Suns, Sean Grande of 98.5 The Sports Hub reports.
ANALYSIS
With Kemba Walker (illness) back in the starting five, Pritchard will return to the bench. This month, he's averaged 6.2 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 16.4 minutes.
Apr 19, 2021
Scores 14 in start
Pritchard posted 14 points (5-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three assists, one rebound and one steal in 31 minutes during Monday's loss to the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
The 23-year-old drew his first career start with Kemba Walker and Marcus Smart both out due to an illness. Pritchard has delivered useful fantasy lines over his past three games, averaging 13.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.7 three-pointers and 2.3 assists in that span. Until Walker and Smart return to the lineup, feel free to stream Pritchard in deeper formats if you need three-pointers along with low-end points, rebounds and assists.
Apr 19, 2021
Moving into starting five
Pritchard will move into the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Bulls, Celtics play-by-play man Sean Grande reports.
ANALYSIS
With Kemba Walker and Marcus Smart both out due to an illness, the rookie will move into the lineup for his second start of the season. Pritchard should be in position for a sizable minutes boost over his average of 14.8 minutes per game in the month of April.
Apr 16, 2021
Sinks three three-pointers
Pritchard logged 15 points (5-11 FG, 3-6 3PT, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds and three assists in a 121-113 victory over the Lakers on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
In a game where the Celtics held a commanding lead over their opponent the entire matchup, Pritchard had one of his best games of the season. The rookie had an all-around night offensively, grabbing three offensive rebounds, dishing three assists and hitting 3-of-6 from behind the three-point arc. While the guard is in no position to gain a lot of additional minutes unless there's an injury, it's pretty apparent he's locked up the team's backup point guard role behind Kemba Walker.
Mar 29, 2021
Second straight in double figures
Pritchard tallied 11 points (4-6 FG, 3-4 3Pt), five rebounds, one steal and one block during Monday's loss to New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard recorded double figures for a second straight contest in this one, as the rookie has now reached at least 10 points in 12 games this year. The former Oregon Duck also knocked down at least three threes for the first time since March 14 against Houston. Over Pritchard's last three outings now, he's averaging 10.0 points and 5.0 rebounds.
Mar 3, 2021
Drains four treys in win
Pritchard had 15 points (5-8 FG, 4-7 3Pt), three assists, two rebounds and one steal in 23 minutes during Tuesday's 117-112 win over the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
The 23-year-old hadn't made multiple three-pointers in a game since drilling six Feb. 11, so it was a welcome shooting display for the Celtics. Pritchard was averaging 5.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists while shooting 32.4 percent from the field over the previous six games, so hopefully Tuesday's game marks the end of his slump.
Feb 16, 2021
Racks up seven assists
Pritchard scored eight points (3-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT) to go along with one rebound and seven assists across 23 minutes in Tuesday's win over the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard played over 20 minutes for the fourth time in his last seven games. Though he didn't provide a standout line, he put up the second-best assist total of his rookie season and his most since Jan. 4. While he's had splashes of production, Pritchard has scored in double-digits only twice in that same seven game span and never posted more than five rebounds or two assists -- prior to Tuesday's effort. Given that he provides hardly any defensive statistics, Pritchard is playing largely empty minutes from a fantasy perspective.
Feb 11, 2021
Drains six three-pointers in win
Pritchard posted 20 points (6-10 FG, 6-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and one assist over 29 minutes in Thursday's 120-106 win over Toronto.
ANALYSIS
The rookie drained a career-high six three-pointers, often off of sweet assists from Jayson Tatum. Toronto made a point of double-teaming both Tatum and Jaylen Brown, which created lots of open corner threes for FastPP and Semi Ojeleye (24 points). Maybe more important for Pritchard is that fellow point guard back-up Jeff Teague received a DNP-Coach's Decision. A case can be made that Pritchard is, so far, the third-best rookie in the Association, after LaMelo Ball and Tyrese Haliburton. Expect more big minutes from Pritchard on Friday as the C's rest Kemba Walker for the back-half of the back-to-back.
Feb 6, 2021
Plays 19 minutes in return
Pritchard delivered eight points (3-4 FG, 2-3 3Pt), four boards, two assists and no turnovers over 19 minutes in Friday's 119-115 road win over the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
After missing six games due to a sprained knee, the rookie picked up exactly where he left off before the injury. FastPP again delivered efficient scoring and wise decision making that belies his rookie status. With Jeff Teague continuing to struggle (0-4 from the field Friday), Pritchard should be Boston's primary back-up point guard moving forward. Through 15 games, the Oregon product is shooting 44.2 percent from behind the arc.

Available Friday
Pritchard (knee) is available Friday against the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard hasn't played since Jan. 22 while recovering from a sprained knee. His availability is especially impactful Friday, as the Celtics will be without Jaylen Brown (knee).
Feb 4, 2021
Upgraded to questionable
Pritchard (knee) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Clippers, Chris Forsberg of NBC Sports Boston reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard has missed Boston's last six games due to a lingering right knee issue, but the rookie is reportedly considered day-to-day, so he could be nearing a return. Kemba Walker (rest) is expected to return Friday after having missed two contests, though Jaylen Brown (knee) is also questionable.
Feb 3, 2021
Remains out Wednesday
Pritchard (knee) will not play in Wednesday's game against the Kings.
ANALYSIS
A sprained right knee will keep the rookie out of a sixth consecutive contest, though he does appear close to making his return. With Kemba Walker (rest) and Marcus Smart (calf) also out, Jeff Teague should be set for a boost in minutes Wednesday.
Feb 2, 2021
Wednesday return possible
Coach Brad Stevens said Pritchard (knee) is considered day-to-day and could return to action as early as Wednesday at Sacramento, Marc D'Amico of the Celtics' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The 23-year-old was expected to be sidelined two weeks after being diagnosed with a Grade 1 MCL sprain in his right knee Jan. 23, but he's apparently ahead of schedule in his recovery. The Celtics figure to remain cautious with their rookie guard, but it's good sign regardless of whether or not he suits up Wednesday. The team may be able to offer more information after Tuesday's matchup with the Warriors.
Jan 23, 2021
Out two weeks
Pritchard has been diagnosed with a Grad 1 MCL sprain in his right knee and is expected to return to on-court activities in two weeks, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The rookie suffered the injury during Friday's game against the 76ers. He's been a surprise for the Celtics this season, and Brad Stevens has put trust in Pritchard, playing him 22.2 minutes per game before the injury. Until he returns, Jeff Teague, Javonte Green and Tremont Waters could see more playing time.
Jan 22, 2021
Won't return Friday
Pritchard (knee) won't return to Friday's game against the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard was helped off the floor late in the first quarter and appeared to be in considerable pain as he was helped to the locker room. He was ruled out for the remainder of the contest shortly after leaving the game and initially diagnosed with a right knee sprain. It's not yet clear when he'll be able to return to play.
Jan 22, 2021
Helped to locker room
Pritchard was helped to the locker room late in the first quarter of Friday's game against the 76ers with an apparent right knee injury, Jared Weiss of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard went down after teammate Jaylen Brown fell into his right knee, and he appeared to be in considerable pain. He put very little weight on his right leg as he was helped to the locker room by trainers. It's not yet clear whether he'll be able to return to the contest.
Jan 17, 2021
Grabs five boards
Pritchard finished with three points (1-3 FG, 1-3 3Pt), five boards and one block in 17 minutes in a 105-75 loss to the Knicks on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard took only threes in the game, as the Celtics struggled offensively to keep pace with an inspired Knicks squad. His five boards tied him for fourth on the team. He'll face the 76ers on Wednesday.
Jan 9, 2021
Contributes 11 points in win
Pritchard scored 11 points (3-4 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go with three rebounds, two steals and one assist across 23 minutes in a 116-107 win over Washington on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard replicated his December 27 performance where he made all three of his attempts from behind the arc, upping his three-point percentage to 47.8 percent on the season. The guard averages 11.6 points per game when playing 23 or more minutes as he's dove into minutes with Kemba Walker still absent. Pritchard has come into a significant bench role over the past few games, shooting 50.0 percent from the field during his 22.9 minutes per game in his rookie season.
Jan 4, 2021
Scores 23 in win
Pritchard generated 23 points (8-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), eight assists and two boards across 32 minutes in Monday's 126-114 road win over Toronto.
ANALYSIS
The rookie set career highs in both points and minutes played during the eighth game of his career. Boston was missing guards Kemba Walker (knee), Jeff Teague (ankle) and Marcus Smart (thumb) on Monday. That led to Tremont Waters getting a rare start at point guard, but it was Pritchard who really shined. FastPP's eight dimes led the Celtics. His 23 points were second for Boston, behind Jayson Tatum's 40 points. The Oregon product has quickly proven he deserves his minutes and has quickly become a fan favorite. Pritchard will try to continue his winning ways Wednesday night at Miami.
Jan 4, 2021
Set for increased minutes Monday
Pritchard could see increased minutes in Monday's game against Toronto with Jeff Teague (ankle) sidelined.
ANALYSIS
It's no guarantee, but Pritchard is the natural option to pick up some more minutes off the bench with Teague out. Marcus Smart (thumb) is also questionable for the Celtics, so if he, too, sits out, then Pritchard would have a chance to perhaps make his first NBA start. The rookie out of Oregon played a career-high 28 minutes Sunday against Detroit, finishing with five points, four rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block.
Dec 30, 2020
Sparks comeback win
Pritchard posted 10 points (4-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds, five assists and one steal across 27 minutes in Tuesday's 116-111 win over at Indiana.
ANALYSIS
The rookie point guard sparked Boston's fourth-quarter comeback with exciting drives to the bucket and pesky defense. Pritchard and Marcus Smart led Boston with five assists each. The Oregon product has become the main beneficiary in minutes due to the absence of Kemba Walker (knee). Pritchard is making the most of his opportunity and playing with surprising confidence. In his post-game presser, Jaylen Brown half-jokingly called FastPP "the Goat" for leading the comeback. Pritchard has appeared in all four Boston's games and is averaging 22.0 minutes per game. The Celtics now return to Boston for the second of a back-to-back and face the Grizzlies Wednesday night.
Dec 28, 2020
In early-season rotation
Pritchard played 23 minutes and finished with 13 points (5-5 FG, 3-3 3PT) in Sunday night's loss to the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
The rookie out of Oregon has been an immediate contributor for the Celtics, who are in need of point guard depth with Kemba Walker (knee) on the shelf. Through three games, Pritchard is averaging 7.7 points, 1.0 rebound, 1.0 assist and 1.7 made threes in 20.3 minutes.
Dec 15, 2020
Goes for 16 off bench
Pritchard had 16 points (6-10 FG, 2-6 3PT, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and two assists in Tuesday's preseason game against the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard saw extended time off the bench, playing 22 minutes on a night when 13 Celtics saw at least 10 minutes of action. The rookie may have a difficult time holding a consistent role to begin the regular season, but his chances to earn backup minutes will increase as long as Kemba Walker (knee) continues to battle injury.
Dec 14, 2020
Not on injury report
Pritchard is not on the Celtics' injury report ahead of Tuesday's preseason game against the Sixers.
ANALYSIS
Pritchard suffered a disclosed finger during Saturday's practice, but he was able to participate in Sunday's session and will be good to go for Tuesday's exhibition opener.
Dec 13, 2020
Practicing after finger dislocation
Pritchard practiced Sunday after suffering a dislocated finger on Saturday, Jared Weiss of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Given that the injury was apparently quite minor and an x-ray came back negative, Pritchard seems to be on track to play for the Celtics in their first preseason game, which comes Tuesday.
Dec 12, 2020
Dislocates finger
Pritchard dislocated a finger during Saturday's practice, Jay King of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Medical staff was able to pop the rookie's finger back into place, and coach Brad Stevens is hoping Pritchard's timeline for a return is "sooner rather than later."
