Shines defensively in return
Washington (ankle) registered 14 points (6-13 FG, 2-7 3Pt), seven rebounds, five steals, one assist and one block across 36 minutes in Saturday's 122-109 win over the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
The 9-16 Mavericks turned in one of their best games of the season while cruising to a win over the 15-6 Rockets, and Washington's performance on the defensive end was instrumental in the upset victory. Back in action after missing the previous four games due to a right ankle sprain, Washington faced no restrictions with his minutes and ended up establishing a new season high in steals. Washington was at his more natural power forward spot Saturday while Anthony Davis shifted over to center, but Washington could end up seeing more playing time on the wing if Daniel Gafford (ankle) returns for Dallas' next game Friday versus the Nets.
Dec 6, 2025
Available for Saturday
Washington (ankle) is available for Saturday's game against the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
After sitting out the past four games, Washington was able to shed his questionable tag for this contest. However, it's possible he could face some restrictions in his return to the rotation.
Dec 6, 2025
Questionable for Saturday
Washington (ankle) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Washington has missed the past four games for the Mavericks, and he'll essentially be a game-time call Saturday night with there not being a shootaround on the second leg of a back-to-back set. If he is able to get back out there, Naji Marshall would likely head back to the second unit.
Dec 5, 2025
Remains out Friday
Washington (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Thunder, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington will miss a fourth straight game and can be considered questionable for the second half of Dallas' back-to-back set Saturday against the Rockets. However, Washington has been initially listed as questionable for each of the past three games, so that designation doesn't offer a ton of optimism. Naji Marshall figures to draw another start in Washington's absence against Oklahoma City.
Dec 4, 2025
Questionable with ankle sprain
Washington is questionable for Friday's game against the Thunder with a right ankle sprain.
ANALYSIS
Washington is aiming to end a three-game absence with the issue. Naji Marshall has been the primary fantasy beneficiary of Washington's stay on the sidelines, so the former would figure to move to the bench if the latter is able to give it ago Friday.
Dec 3, 2025
Ruled out Wednesday
Washington (ankle) will not play in Wednesday's game against the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Washington will be sidelined for a third straight game Wednesday. He did participate in the morning shootaround, however, so a return appears to be on the horizon. His next chance to play comes Friday against the Thunder, the first leg of a back-to-back set.
Dec 3, 2025
Present at morning shootaround
Washington (ankle) was spotted at Wednesday morning's shootaround, Abby Jones of DLLS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
While Washington is deemed questionable to play Wednesday due to his ankle injury, his presence at the team's shootaround is an encouraging sign that he may play. Washington missed the last two games, but if he returns Wednesday, Naji Marshall may revert back to the bench as a result.
Dec 2, 2025
Iffy for Wednesday
Washington (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's game against Miami.
ANALYSIS
A right ankle sprain continues to plague Washington, who could be a true game-time decision for Wednesday. If the forward ends up missing a third consecutive game, the Mavericks would have longer leashes for the likes of Naji Marshall, Max Christie and Klay Thompson.
Dec 1, 2025
Won't play Monday
Washington (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Washington will miss his second consecutive contest due to a right ankle sprain. On a more positive note, the 27-year-old forward participated in Monday's shootaround, which bodes well for his chances of returning against the Heat on Wednesday. With Washington sidelined, Naji Marshall, Klay Thompson and Caleb Martin are candidates for increased minutes.
Dec 1, 2025
Active at shootaround
Washington (ankle) participated in Monday's shootaround, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington's presence at the session perhaps places him on the right side of the questionable tag for Monday's tilt in Denver. For the year, the veteran forward has averaged 16.0 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.2 blocks and 0.9 assists in 31.7 minutes per contest in 19 games.
Nov 30, 2025
Questionable for Monday
Washington (ankle) is questionable for Monday's game in Denver.
ANALYSIS
The ankle injury forced Washington to the sidelines for Saturday's win over the Clippers, which resulted in Naji Marshall drawing the start, and Caleb Martin saw an uptick in minutes. It'll be more of the same if Washington is out again Monday.
Nov 29, 2025
Won't play Saturday
Washington won't play in Saturday's game against the Clippers due to a right ankle sprain, Tim MacMahon of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington sustained the sprained ankle in pregame warmups and was removed from the starting lineup before eventually being ruled out. His status will be worth monitoring ahead of Monday's game against the Nuggets. With the 27-year-old forward joining Anthony Davis (calf), Daniel Gafford (ankle) and Dereck Lively (foot) on the sidelines, Naji Marshall, Klay Thompson and Caleb Martin are candidates for increased playing time.
Nov 29, 2025
Rolls ankle during warmups
Washington sustained an ankle injury during warmups before Saturday's game against the Clippers, Kevin Gray Jr. of AllDLLS.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington turned his ankle when the ball rolled up under him during warm-ups, and that was the reason why he was removed from the starting lineup. Naji Marshall replaced him in the first unit, and it's uncertain whether Washington will play at all Saturday.
Nov 24, 2025
Strong showing in Miami
Washington registered 27 points (10-20 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 34 minutes during Monday's 106-102 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Washington did his best to propel the Mavs to a victory by leading the way in scoring. However, he didn't get nearly enough help, as the next leading scorer was Max Christie with 15 points. Washington has stabilized his production on the boards and as a scorer lately, averaging 17.0 points and 8.4 rebounds in his last five appearances.
Nov 23, 2025
Not listed on report for Monday
Washington (back) isn't listed on the injury report for Monday's game against the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Washington exited Saturday's loss to the Grizzlies in the fourth quarter and didn't return due to a low-back issue. However, he's set to return to action Monday. Over his last five games, Washington has averaged 15.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks in 33.0 minutes per contest.
Nov 22, 2025
Doesn't return Saturday
Washington exited to the locker room in the fourth quarter of Saturday's 102-96 loss to Memphis due to a low back issue and didn't return, Noah Weber of TheSmokingCuban.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington checked out of the game with 4:54 remaining in the final quarter, and while he returned to the bench shortly thereafter, he didn't check back in. He finished with 15 points (7-17 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 0-1 FT), eight rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal across 32 minutes. The 27-year-old forward's status will be worth monitoring ahead of Monday's game against the Heat.
Nov 22, 2025
Sniffs double-double
Washington closed with 24 points (8-14 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 3-4 FT), nine rebounds, one assist and three blocks over 37 minutes during Friday's 118-115 victory over New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Washington finished just one rebound away from what would've been his first double-double since Nov. 5 -- coincidentally, he last achieved this feat in a game against the Pelicans. Washington has been a regular starter for Dallas despite filling in different roles throughout the season, and he remains productive. The inconsistency in the scoring column has been an issue, but Washington might be turning things around in that regard -- two of his three games with at least 20 points this season have come during his past four appearances.
Nov 17, 2025
Puts up 21 points in OT win
Washington notched 21 points (7-16 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 2-4 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and one steal in 38 minutes during Sunday's 138-133 overtime win over the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Washington returned after a one-game absence due to a shoulder injury and did it in style, co-leading the team in scoring and posting his second-best scoring mark of the campaign. If excluding the game in which he sustained the aforementioned injury, Washington has scored in double digits in his last six games and should remain one of the Mavs' go-to options on offense as long as Kyrie Irving (knee) and Anthony Davis (calf) remain sidelined.
Nov 16, 2025
Available Sunday
Washington (shoulder) is available for Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Washington will shed his probable tag due to a strained left shoulder and suit up Sunday. In his previous five appearances before sustaining the injury in Wednesday's loss to Phoenix, the 27-year-old forward averaged 17.6 points, 9.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.2 blocks in 31.6 minutes per contest.
Nov 15, 2025
On track to play Sunday
Washington (shoulder) is listed as probable for Sunday's game against Portland.
ANALYSIS
Washington missed his first game of the regular season Friday due to a left shoulder strain, but it appears likely that the seventh-year pro will be available for Sunday's Western Conference tilt. His return would likely revert Naji Marshall to the bench and result in less rotational minutes available for Klay Thompson and Caleb Martin. Washington is averaging 14.7 points, 7.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.3 blocks and 0.9 steals over 30.6 minutes per game to open the 2025-26 regular season.
Nov 14, 2025
Won't play Friday
Washington (shoulder) is out for Friday's game against the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Washington left Wednesday's game against the Suns due to a left shoulder strain, and he's sitting out for the first time this year. Sunday's matchup against the Trail Blazers marks his next chance to play. Naji Marshall and Klay Thompson should play significant minutes in Washington's absence.
Nov 13, 2025
Iffy for Friday
Washington (shoulder) will be listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Clippers, Christian Clark of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington left Wednesday's game against the Suns early due to a left shoulder strain, but the forward is considered day-to-day. Anthony Davis (calf) and Dereck Lively (knee) are also questionable for Dallas. If Washington is unable to play, Naji Marshall could see a sizable workload against the Clippers. The Mavericks may also utilize smaller lineups with so many injuries in the frontcourt as well.
Nov 12, 2025
Early exit Wednesday
Washington has been ruled out for the remainder of Wednesday's game against the Suns due to a left shoulder strain.
ANALYSIS
Washington sustained the injury during the first half. He'll finish the game with six points (3-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt), a steal and a block over five minutes. Klay Thompson, Naji Marshall and Caleb Martin could see an uptick in minutes due to Washington's absence. His next chance to play will come Friday against the Clippers.
Nov 8, 2025
Secures third double-double
Washington logged 14 points (4-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 6-6 FT), 10 rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block in 37 minutes during Saturday's 111-105 win over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Washington led the starters in scoring and rebounding and turned in his third double-double of the season, which is also his third double-double over his last four appearances. He continues to enjoy an uptick in opportunities to produce, especially during Saturday's matchup with both Anthony Davis (calf) and Dereck Lively (knee) out. Washington has also added value defensively by racking up at least one block and one steal in four straight games.
Nov 5, 2025
Fills box score in double-double
Washington registered 15 points (5-13 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-7 FT), 11 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal across 38 minutes during Wednesday's 101-99 loss to the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
That's now consecutive games with a double-double for Washington, who has come down with double-digit boards in three of his past four contests. The 27-year-old forward is taking on a more pronounced role in the frontcourt, given that Anthony Davis (calf) and Dereck Lively (knee) are both sidelined, and Washington deserves to be rostered in the majority of fantasy leagues. He's averaged 15.8 points, 8.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.4 blocks and 0.9 steals in 34.6 minutes per game over eight appearances this season.
Nov 3, 2025
Leads Dallas in defeat
Washington recorded 29 points (11-20 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 6-10 FT), 12 rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block across 36 minutes in Monday's 110-102 loss to the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Although he struggled from three-point range Monday, Washington delivered a bounce-back performance after shooting 23.8 percent from the field in Dallas' previous two games. He posted a game-high mark in points, scoring 20-plus for the first time this season. The 27-year-old forward also grabbed a game- and season-best 12 rebounds, securing his first double-double through seven regular-season outings.
Nov 2, 2025
Swats three shots
Washington provided six points (3-13 FG, 0-6 3Pt), five rebounds, five assists and three blocks across 36 minutes during Saturday's 122-110 loss to the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Washington turned in his lowest scoring output of the season, struggling to find his rhythm offensively but still making an impact defensively with three blocks. The forward's overall production through six games -- 13.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.3 blocks per contest -- has remained fairly consistent with last year's numbers, though he's off to a slow start from beyond the arc, shooting just 29.2 percent after coming up empty from deep Saturday.
Oct 25, 2025
Just short of double-double Friday
Washington supplied 18 points (8-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 0-1 FT), nine rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals over 39 minutes during Friday's 117-107 loss to the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
The veteran forward fell one board short of his first double-double of the season. Washington will be counted on to fill a supporting role for the Mavericks this season behind Anthony Davis and rookie phenom Cooper Flagg, and eventually Kyrie Irving (knee), and so far the former Hornet has done his part, averaging 17.5 points and 7.0 rebounds through two games with two steals, two blocks and four made threes.
Oct 23, 2025
Scores 17 in start
Washington ended Wednesday's 125-92 loss to San Antonio with 17 points (7-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one block in 29 minutes.
ANALYSIS
The Mavericks rolled out a jumbo lineup with Cooper Flagg as their starting point guard, allowing Washington to keep his spot in the starting lineup. The starters struggled mightily, however, so it will be interesting to see if coach Jason Kidd will give this group another look. Whether he starts or comes off the bench, Washington projects to be an integral part of the offense and defense.
Oct 16, 2025
Nets 13 points in starting role
Washington totaled 13 points (5-8 FG, 2-2 FT, 1-4 3Pt), five rebounds, six assists and two steals across 28 minutes in Wednesday's 121-94 win oveer the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Due to Dallas' recent additions, Washington's role is a bit cloudy. Since Anthony Davis will play the four alongside a crew of centers, Washington could end up as the odd man out with the remainig wing positions. Washington's likely role in the second unit deserves a downgrade in drafts, as there would need to be a major shakeup for him to earn first-unit minutes.
Oct 13, 2025
Starting sans Russell
Washington will start in Monday's preseason game against the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
With D'Angelo Russell (rest) sidelined, Cooper Flagg will start at point guard while Washington joins the starting lineup. The 27-year-old forward started 56 of his 57 regular-season games last year, during which he averaged 14.7 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.1 blocks and 1.1 steals across 32.2 minutes per contest.
Oct 7, 2025
Pours in 14 points from bench
Washington tallied 14 points (4-9 FG, 6-7 FT, 0-2 3Pt), three rebounds, an assist and a blocked shot across 14 minutes in Monday's preseason win over Oklahoma City.
ANALYSIS
With the Mavericks employing Anthony Davis and Dereck Lively in the first unit, Washington backed up the duo off the bench. Since Davis and Lively are both healthy, Washington may see reduction in production if the trend continues. Heavy usage of Cooper Flagg will also curb his potential.
Oct 6, 2025
Scores 14 in preseason win
Washington tallied 14 points (4-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 6-7 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one block across 14 minutes in Monday's 106-89 preseason win over the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Washington did much of his damage at the charity stripe Monday, helping pace the Mavericks offensively in the win. The forward started 56 of 57 regular-season games last year but could transition to a bench role this season with top pick Cooper Flagg in the fold.
Oct 5, 2025
Practices Sunday
Washington (head) participated in Sunday's practice, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington bumped his head during a recent practice but is expected to be available for Monday's preseason game against the Thunder. The 27-year-old forward is coming off a productive 2024-25 campaign, during which he averaged 14.7 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks across 32.2 minutes per game in 57 regular-season appearances (56 starts). However, he may see a slightly reduced role in 2025-26 with Cooper Flagg in the mix.
Oct 1, 2025
Bumps head, won't miss time
Washington bumped his head during a training camp practice, but he's expected to practice Friday, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington sustained a minor head injury at the start of training camp, but he won't be required to miss time due to the injury. He's expected to return to the hardwood Friday and be a full go for the Mavericks' matchup with OKC on Monday.
Sep 3, 2025
Lands $90 million extension
Washington and the Mavericks agreed to a four-year, $90 million extension Wednesday, ESPN's Shams Charania reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington had one year left on his deal for $14.1 million and will now be locked up in Dallas through the 2029-30 season. During the 2024-25 regular season, the 27-year-old averaged 14.7 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.1 blocks and 1.1 steals while shooting 38.1 percent from beyond the arc. His role is likely to be reduced in 2025-26, however, with the Mavericks adding Cooper Flagg into the mix. Washington still figures to play a pivotal role off the bench.
Apr 12, 2025
Not playing Sunday
Washington (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Washington will miss Sunday's regular-season finale as he continues to recover from a sprained left ankle, but he should be available to play against the Kings in the Play-In Tournament. Naji Marshall and Max Christie are candidates to see their minutes increase in Washington's absence.
Apr 5, 2025
Upgraded to available
Washington (ankle) is available for Saturday's game against the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Washington has missed three of the last six games for the Mavericks due to a sprained left ankle, but he's been upgraded to available here, which isn't surprising given his probable tag. Washington is averaging 17.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game across eight appearances and 30.6 minutes per contest since the beginning of March.
Apr 5, 2025
Likely to play against LAC
Washington (ankle) has been listed as probable for Saturday's game against the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Washington has missed three of the last six games for the Mavericks due to a sprained left ankle. However, he's trending toward playing in Los Angeles on Saturday, which will give Dallas a much-needed boost in the scoring column, as the veteran forward averages 14.7 points per game this season.
Apr 3, 2025
Cleared to play Friday
Washington (illness) is available for Friday's game against the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Washington was shut down for Wednesday's game against the Hawks due to illness, but he's been removed from the injury report heading into Friday. He'll presumably slot back into the starting lineup upon his return, averaging 20.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.2 blocks over his last five games.
Apr 2, 2025
Out with illness
Washington is out for Thursday's game against the Hawks due to an illness.
ANALYSIS
Washington had started in the Mavericks' previous two games, logging 32 and 31 minutes against the Bulls and Nets, respectively, but he'll miss this one due to an illness. His next chance to play will come against the Clippers on Friday in the first leg of a back-to-back set. Naji Marshall should take his place in the lineup against the Hawks.
Mar 29, 2025
Will play vs. Chicago
Washington (ankle) has been cleared to play in Saturday's game against the Bulls, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington will return to the floor Saturday after missing the last two games with an ankle injury. The 26-year-old veteran is averaging career-high numbers in points (14.8), rebounds (7.9), assists (2.3) and steals (1.2), shooting 44.7 percent from the floor and 37.8 percent from beyond the arc.
Mar 28, 2025
Questionable with ankle sprain
Washington is questionable for Saturday's game against the Bulls due to a left ankle sprain.
ANALYSIS
Washington is in jeopardy of missing a third consecutive game Saturday due to the injury. Naji Marshall would likely continue to start if Washington remains sidelined against Chicago. Over his last 11 starts, Marshall has averaged 22.5 points, 8.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.4 steals in 37.3 minutes.
Mar 26, 2025
Remains out for Thursday
Washington (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Washington will miss a second straight game for the Mavericks while nursing a sprained left ankle. Dallas will likely continue to lean on Naji Marshall to shoulder the load in the frontcourt in Orlando.
Mar 25, 2025
Won't play vs. New York
Washington (ankle) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Washington won't be in the lineup for the Mavericks on Wednesday while dealing with a sprained left ankle. Naji Marshall will likely get the starting nod in New York, with Max Christie, Klay Thompson and Kessler Edwards potentially getting more minutes on the floor to help pick up the slack.
Mar 25, 2025
Questionable against New York
Washington (ankle) has been listed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
After playing well in the last four games for Dallas following a seven-game absence, Washington might not be able to play Tuesday in New York due to a left ankle sprain. Naji Marshall will likely see a boost in minutes against the Knicks if Washington cannot play.
Mar 25, 2025
Efficient display in win
Washington notched 16 points (7-12 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, five assists and one steal over 31 minutes during Monday's 120-101 victory over the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Washington saw the end of his streak of games with over 20 points in this one, but that can be attributed to the fact that he had fewer touches on offense due to the return of Anthony Davis. Washington attempted only 12 shots in this game, compared to at least 16 in the previous three outings. Even if his numbers experience a slight decrease, Washington should remain one of Dallas' most reliable offensive options going forward, particularly with how depleted the team currently is in terms of depth and availability of players.
Mar 22, 2025
Goes for 27 points in win
Washington posted 27 points (9-16 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 4-6 FT), three rebounds, four blocks and two steals over 38 minutes during Friday's 123-117 victory over Detroit.
ANALYSIS
Washington was deadly from beyond the arc en route to hitting a season-high five threes, and the veteran forward finished just three points away from tying his previous season-high scoring mark. Washington has surpassed the 25-point mark in his three games since returning to the lineup following a seven-game absence due to a right ankle sprain.
Mar 16, 2025
Dominates in return to lineup
Washington (ankle) registered 29 points (11-17 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 7-9 FT), 12 rebounds, two assists and one steal across 32 minutes Sunday in the Mavericks' 130-125 loss to the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Suiting up for the first time since March 1 after missing the past seven games while recovering from a right ankle sprain, Washington took on a huge role right off the bat for a depleted Mavericks squad. The veteran forward handled a team-high 32.5 percent usage rate -- well above his season-long rate of 20.3 percent -- and he combined the extra touches on offense with an efficient shooting performance to turn in one of his better scoring performances of the season. Assuming he experiences no further setbacks with his ankle, Washington could be primed for a huge finish to the season for a Dallas squad that will likely be without Anthony Davis (adductor) through at least early April and Kyrie Irving (knee) for the remainder of the campaign.
Mar 15, 2025
Good to go for Sunday
Washington (ankle) isn't on the injury report for Sunday's game versus the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Washington will return to action Sunday after missing Dallas' previous seven contests due to a right ankle sprain. Washington is averaging 15.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.0 steals in 31.1 minutes across his last 10 appearances.
Mar 14, 2025
Ruled out Friday
Washington (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's game against Houston.
ANALYSIS
The 26-year-old forward will miss his seventh consecutive contest due to a right ankle sprain. His next chance to play will come Sunday against Philadelphia. Kessler Edwards and Dwight Powell are candidates for a bump in minutes due to Washington being sidelined.
Mar 13, 2025
Questionable for Friday
Washington (ankle) is questionable to play Friday against Houston.
ANALYSIS
Washington has missed six consecutive games due to his ankle injury, and is in danger of missing a seventh if ruled out. The Mavericks are currently dealing with a slew of injuries, and need players like Washington healthy if they want to salvage their season. If Washington is unable to play Friday, expect Kessler Edwards and Caleb Martin to see extended playing time.
Mar 12, 2025
Ruled out against San Antonio
Washington (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Spurs, Christian Clark of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington will miss a sixth straight game for the Mavericks while dealing with a right ankle sprain. Naji Marshall will likely get a boost in minutes in San Antonio.
Mar 11, 2025
Questionable against San Antonio
Washington (ankle) has been listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Washington has missed six of the last seven games while dealing with a sprained right ankle. However, there's a chance he returns Wednesday in San Antonio. If the veteran forward can't play, Naji Marshall will likely continue to get most of the minutes for Dallas.
Mar 10, 2025
Another absence coming
Washington (ankle) will not play Monday against the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Washington will miss a fifth straight game for the Mavericks due to a sprained right ankle, and it's unclear when he'll be able to return to action. Naji Marshall will likely continue to see a considerable boost in fantasy appeal in the short term.
Mar 8, 2025
Ruled out against Phoenix
Washington (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Washington will miss a fourth straight game for the Mavericks due to a sprained right ankle. Naji Marshall and Kessler Edwards could receive a boost in minutes Sunday against Phoenix.
Mar 6, 2025
Won't suit up Friday
Washington (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's game against Memphis, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington will miss his third consecutive contest due to a right ankle sprain, and his next chance to play will come Sunday against the Suns. Kessler Edwards and Naji Marshall will likely see an uptick in playing time due to Washington, Olivier-Maxence Prosper (wrist) and Kai Jones (quadricep) joining a long list of players that have already been ruled out.
Mar 4, 2025
Will remain out Wednesday
Washington (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Washington aggravated his right ankle sprain during Saturday's game against the Bucks, missed Monday's matchup against the Kings and will remain sidelined Wednesday, marking his third absence over Dallas' last four games. With Kyrie Irving (knee) done for the season, plus extended absences for Dereck Lively (ankle), Daniel Gafford (knee) and Anthony Davis (thigh), the Mavericks are running out of options. Washington's next chance to suit up will come Friday against Memphis.
Mar 2, 2025
Unavailable for Monday
Washington (ankle) is out for Monday's game against the Kings, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington suffered a reaggravation of his right ankle sprain during Saturday's game against the Bucks and will be forced to miss at least one game. Naji Marshall and Olivier-Maxence Prosper figure to see expanded roles with Washington out of the lineup.
Mar 1, 2025
Won't return Saturday
Washington won't return to Saturday's game against the Bucks due to right ankle soreness.
ANALYSIS
Washington experienced right ankle soreness and won't return to action for the rest of the game, finishing with four points (2-8 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 0-1 FT) and five rebounds across 15 minutes. His status for Monday's game against the Kings will be clarified further following Sunday's injury report.
Mar 1, 2025
Getting green light
Washington (ankle) is available for Saturday's game against the Bucks, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After scoring zero points (0-9 FG) during a 107-99 loss to the Lakers on Tuesday, Washington sat out Thursday's win over the Hornets with an ankle injury. However, he's been upgraded from questionable to available Saturday and will replace Naji Marshall in the starting lineup. Coach Jason Kidd said Washington will be limited to 25-30 minutes during Saturday's game.
Feb 28, 2025
Iffy to play Saturday
Washington (ankle) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Bucks, Christian Clark of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington is in danger of missing a second straight game due to a right ankle sprain, which caused him to miss six games earlier in February. Naji Marshall would likely remain in the Mavericks' starting lineup if Washington is not cleared to play Friday.
Feb 27, 2025
Won't play Thursday
Washington (ankle) is out for Thursday's game against the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Washington recently returned from a multi-game absence with a sprained right ankle, but he'll go back on the shelf Thursday. The star forward can be deemed day-to-day ahead of Saturday's tilt with the Bucks. The Mavericks could turn to either Dante Exum or Naji Marshall to replace Washington in the starting lineup against Charlotte.
Feb 26, 2025
Questionable for Thursday
Washington (ankle) has been listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Washington is coming off a forgettable performance in Tuesday's loss to the Lakers, where he went scoreless in 35 minutes on the floor. The veteran forward will attempt to bounce back in the scoring column if cleared to play Thursday against Charlotte. If he cannot play against the Hornets, Dallas will likely turn to Kessler Edwards and Naji Marshall to help shoulder the load in the frontcourt.
Feb 26, 2025
Goes scoreless with 10 rebounds
Washington closed with zero points (0-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt), 10 rebounds, five assists, four blocks and one steal across 35 minutes during Tuesday's 107-99 loss to the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Washington missed all nine of his shot attempts in the loss, giving Washington his second goose egg of the season. The team continues to struggle without Dereck Lively, and although Washington was able to work the rim to his advantage, the lack of scoring production limits the Mavericks' ability to relieve an overworked Kyrie Irving. Washington will look to get his shot back Thursday against the Hornets.
Feb 25, 2025
Available Tuesday
Washington (ankle) is available for Tuesday's matchup versus the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Washington will suit up for his third consecutive contest, shaking off a questionable tag due to a right ankle sprain. The 26-year-old forward has appeared in only three outings during February due to the ankle injury and personal reasons, during which he has averaged 15.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.0 steals in 27.0 minutes per contest.
Feb 24, 2025
Game-time call for Tuesday
Washington is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Lakers due to a right ankle sprain.
ANALYSIS
Washington is back on the injury report ahead of Tuesday's matchup, though he's been able to play in his team's last two contests after missing three straight games with an ankle sprain. The Dallas medical staff should have a better idea of his availability after he goes through shootaround and pregame warmups.
Feb 23, 2025
Efficient effort vs. Golden State
Washington registered 17 points (7-11 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 0-1 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one steal over 28 minutes during Sunday's 126-102 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Washington was able to play in his second straight game Sunday after missing six of the prior seven games due to an ankle sprain. He finished as the Mavericks' co-leader in scoring with Kyrie Irving, and Washington managed to connect on three triples for the seventh time this season. Washington didn't play in the fourth quarter, but that had to do with the Mavericks down by 25 points heading into the fourth quarter. He should continue to see plenty of playing time at the five in small-ball lineups due to the prolonged absences of Anthony Davis (abdomen), Dereck Lively (ankle) and Daniel Gafford (knee).
Feb 23, 2025
Cleared to play Sunday
Washington (ankle) is available for Sunday's game against the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Washington returned from a three-game absence Friday and finished with 24 points (8-17 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 5-8 FT), seven rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block across 37 minutes during a win over the Pelicans. He shouldn't have any limitations Sunday.
Feb 22, 2025
Questionable for Sunday
Washington is questionable for Sunday's game against the Warriors due to a right ankle sprain.
ANALYSIS
Washington returned from a three-game absence Friday and finished with a strong stat line of 24 points, seven rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block across 37 minutes. He's played in just two of Dallas' eight February contests, however, so the questionable tag might be a precaution more than anything else. If he's cleared to play Sunday, he should handle his regular workload.
Feb 21, 2025
Returns to score 24 points Friday
Washington tallied 24 points (8-17 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 5-8 FT), seven rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block over 37 minutes during Friday's 111-103 win over the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Washington was cleared to play Friday after missing six of Dallas' last seven games due to a right ankle sprain. The 2019 first-round pick came out of the gate strong by scoring 20 of his 24 points in the first half and finished as the Mavericks' second-leading scorer behind Kyrie Irving (35). Washington was able to play free of a minutes restriction, which indicates that he has progressed enough in his recovery that he won't need to sit out of Sunday's game against the Warriors due to injury management.
Feb 21, 2025
Playing with no restrictions Friday
Washington (ankle) is available for Friday's game against the Pelicans, Christian Clark of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington has been sidelined for six of the Mavericks' last seven games due to a right ankle sprain, but the sixth-year forward out of Kentucky will play Friday without a minutes restriction. Despite the Mavericks being without Anthony Davis (adductor), Dereck Lively (ankle) and Daniel Gafford (knee), head coach Jason Kidd said Friday that Washington will likely remain at the four while Kessler Edwards serves as the center, per Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News. Washington averaged 18.3 points, 10.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.9 blocks over 34.6 minutes per game prior to his ankle injury.
Feb 20, 2025
Questionable for Friday
Washington (ankle) has been listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Pelicans, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington has missed six of the last seven games for the Mavericks with a sprained right ankle. However, he could be trending toward playing in Friday's game against New Orleans. Dallas desperately needs healthy bodies, with several injuries taking a toll on the frontcourt, and the veteran forward returning to the floor would be a big boost for this team, as he's averaging a career-high 8.2 rebounds per game to go along with 14.2 points, 2.3 assists and a career-high 1.2 steals per game.
Feb 12, 2025
Won't play vs. Golden State
Washington (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Warriors, Kevin Gray Jr. of AllDLLS.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington has missed four of the last five games for the Mavericks while nursing a sprained right ankle. The veteran forward will miss a second straight game Wednesday against Golden State. Olivier-Maxence Prosper, Naji Marshall and Kessler Edwards will likely be tasked with shouldering the load for Dallas.
Feb 11, 2025
Questionable with ankle sprain
Washington (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Warriors, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington is in danger of missing consecutive outings due to a right ankle sprain. Given that Wednesday's contest is the front end of a back-to-back, the team could elect to play things safely with the veteran forward. If Washington is unable to go against Golden State, the depleted Mavericks frontcourt would be left with the likes of Kessler Edwards, Naji Marshall and Olivier-Maxence Prosper to handle the bulk of the center minutes.
Feb 10, 2025
Won't play Monday
Washington (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Kings, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The 26-year-old sprained his right ankle in Saturday's win over the Rockets and will join Anthony Davis (groin) on the shelf Monday. Naji Marshall, Kessler Edwards and Olivier-Maxence Prosper are all candidates for a bump in minutes with both Davis and Washington sidelined. His next chance to play will come Wednesday against Golden State.
Feb 9, 2025
Questionable to play Monday
Washington (ankle) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Washington sustained the right ankle sprain during Saturday's win over the Rockets and could miss his fourth game over the Mavericks' last five. If the 26-year-old joins Anthony Davis (thigh) on the shelf, Naji Marshall, Dante Exum and Kessler Edwards are candidates for an uptick in playing time.
Feb 8, 2025
Out for remainder of game
Washington (ankle) won't return to Saturday's game versus the Rockets due to a right ankle sprain. He will end the contest with six points (1-4 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, three blocks and one assist in 16 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Washington left Saturday's contest with 1:10 remaining in the second quarter and won't return due to a sprained left ankle. Naji Marshall, Dante Exum and Max Christie will likely receive increased playing time in his absence. Washington's next chance to suit up is Monday's matchup with Sacramento.
Feb 7, 2025
Returning Saturday vs. Houston
Washington (personal) is not on the injury report ahead of Saturday's game against the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Washington was away from the team for their last two games following the birth of his third child. He'll return Saturday for the start of the Mavericks' four-game home stand before the All-Star break, and he's expected to start on the wing as part of a new-look frontcourt with Anthony Davis (abdomen) and Daniel Gafford. Washington has averaged 17.1 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.2 steals over 33.5 minutes per game since the beginning of January.
Feb 6, 2025
Set to play on wing
Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd said prior to Thursday's game against the Celtics that he plans to have Washington (personal) start on the wing once he returns to action, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington will miss a third straight game Thursday following the recent birth of his third child. Once he rejoins the team, Washington will be part of a new-look starting frontcourt that now includes Anthony Davis (abdomen), who is expected to make his Mavericks debut as the team's power forward. Davis is likely to spell Daniel Gafford at center for stretches of games, so while Washington will have to adapt to playing at small forward more frequently, he's still likely to see some minutes at power forward when Gafford or Davis are off the floor. In addition to potentially presenting Washington with fewer rebounding and shot-blocking opportunities, Davis' arrival will likely cause Washington drop down a spot in the offensive hierarchy. Washington had recently been serving as the No. 2 option behind Kyrie Irving while Luka Doncic (calf) had missed extended time prior to being traded to the Lakers.
Feb 5, 2025
Ruled out for Thursday
Washington (personal) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Washington has missed the last two games for the Mavericks and now will miss a third straight game for Dallas due to personal reasons. Not having the veteran in the frontcourt will be costly against the defending NBA champions, as they are already without Dwight Powell (hip) and might not have Anthony Davis (abdomen) ready to make his debut with the team, as he is listed as questionable.
Feb 4, 2025
Out for personal reasons
Washington will miss Tuesday's game against the 76ers for personal reasons.
ANALYSIS
After missing Sunday's loss to the Cavaliers due to right knee soreness, Washington wasn't on the initial injury report, which suggests his knee issue is behind him. However, he'll be unavailable Tuesday, and it's unclear when he'll be back with the team. Olivier-Maxence Prosper is likely to play a significant role in Tuesday's game with Washington out of the picture.
Feb 3, 2025
Off injury report for Tuesday
Washington (knee) is off the injury report for Tuesday's game against Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
Washington will suit up Tuesday after missing Sunday's loss to the Cavaliers due to right knee soreness. Over his last five outings, the 26-year-old has averaged 21.0 points, 12.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.2 steals across 36.0 minutes per game. However, it wouldn't come as a surprise if Washington sees a slight decline in minutes with Anthony Davis (recently traded) questionable to make his Mavericks debut against the 76ers.
Feb 2, 2025
Won't go Sunday
Washington (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Cavaliers, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington will miss his first game since Dec. 28 due to right knee soreness, and his next chance to play will come Tuesday against the 76ers. With the 26-year-old forward joining Anthony Davis (abdomen) on the shelf, Olivier-Maxence Prosper and Naji Marshall are candidates for a bump in playing time.
Feb 1, 2025
Questionable against Cleveland
Washington (knee) has been listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Washington could be forced to watch from the sideline Sunday against the Cavaliers as he is dealing with right knee soreness. If Washington can't play, the Mavericks will be very thin in the frontcourt, with Dwight Powell (hip), Dereck Lively (ankle) and Maxi Kleber (foot) out. Daniel Gafford (ankle) is also questionable against Cleveland. Dallas may have to lean on Naji Marshall, Olivier-Maxence Prosper and Kylor Kelley to shoulder the load.
Jan 31, 2025
Continues to roll Friday
Washington accumulated 22 points (8-17 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 13 rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal over 36 minutes during Friday's 117-102 loss to Detroit.
ANALYSIS
Washington continues to roll for the Mavericks, tallying his 13th double-double of the season along with a full stat line Friday. Across his last seven outings, the veteran forward has averaged 21.1 points, 11.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.0 steals, 1.0 blocks and 2.0 three-pointers in 35.1 minutes per game. Washington should continue seeing a bump in usage in Dallas' lineup until Luka Doncic returns from a calf strain.
Jan 30, 2025
Season-high eight assists in win
Washington racked up 25 points (10-20 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 14 rebounds, eight assists and one block across 38 minutes during Wednesday's 137-136 victory over New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Washington has been helping shoulder the offensive load for the Mavericks, with Luka Doncic (calf) still on the mend. The 26-year-old had a sold overall performance in Wednesday's win against the Pelicans, finishing with a season-high eight assists to go along with 25 points, 14 rebounds and a block. The veteran will likely continue to be leaned on by Dallas, which increases his value from a fantasy perspective.
Jan 24, 2025
Piles up career-high 19 rebounds
Washington had 22 points (6-16 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 8-10 FT), 19 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and three steals in 41 minutes during Thursday's 121-115 win over the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
With Daniel Gafford missing some action with an apparent neck injury, Washington dominated on the glass against an undersized Thunder frontcourt with a career-high 19 rebounds on the heels of producing a season-high 30 points Wednesday. While Washington's role on Dallas' offense primarily as a spot-up shooter can yield inconsistent results at times, that hasn't prevented him from staying very productive for the Mavericks. Over his 10 games, the 26-year-old has averaged 17.0 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.4 three-pointers.
Jan 23, 2025
Season-high 30 points in loss
Washington put up 30 points (12-22 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-7 FT), seven boards and two assists in 36 minutes of action during Wednesday's 115-114 loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
On top of his season-best scoring performance, the big man also grabbed more offensive rebounds than defensive for the first time this season, collecting four of his seven boards on the offensive glass. With Dereck Lively (foot) out for multiple months, Washington and his fantasy value certainly stand to reap the benefits as he steps into a larger role.
Jan 20, 2025
Nears double-double in loss
Washington amassed 13 points (5-15 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, one assist and one steal in 30 minutes during Monday's 110-105 loss to the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Washington provided Dallas with a balanced effort in Monday's contest, ending second on the team in rebounds and as one of three Mavericks in double figures while finishing one board shy of a double-double. Washington has now tallied at least 10 points and nine rebounds in 12 outings this season, including in two of his last three appearances.
Jan 18, 2025
Efficient display Friday
Washington totaled 16 points (6-8 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal over 36 minutes during Friday's 106-98 victory over the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Washington has had a productive stretch over the last few weeks and has been a reliable presence on both ends of the court for Dallas. He's scored in double digits in six of his previous eight outings, a span in which he's racked up 15.0 points and 9.1 rebounds per game.
Jan 10, 2025
Brilliant down the stretch
Washington finished Thursday's 117-111 win over the Trail Blazers with 23 points (5-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 11-11 FT), 14 rebounds, one assist, one block and three steals over 35 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Washington was the primary catalyst of Dallas' comeback, converting two free throws and a three-pointer with time winding down. Thursday's game was one of Dallas' best performances amid Luka Doncic's (absence), and they won despite the addition of Kyrie Irving (back) to the injury report. Washington was one of several Mavericks to outperform their usual numbers, with the Kentucky product notching his second double-double over three games.
Jan 8, 2025
Hits for 22 in Tuesday's win
Washington ended Tuesday's 118-97 victory over the Lakers with 22 points (9-14 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight rebounds and one steal over 39 minutes.
ANALYSIS
With both Luka Doncic (calf) and Kyrie Irving (back) in street clothes, Washington has stepped up for the Mavs. During the three games both star guards have missed in January, Washington is averaging 18.0 points, 8.3 boards, 2.0 assists, 2.0 threes and 1.3 steals while seeing his usage skyrocket -- he's averaged 18.0 FG attempts and 6.0 three-point attempts during that stretch, volume well above his norm. irving could be back later this month, but Doncic is expected to be sidelined into February, so the door is open for Washington to continue seeing an elevated role in the short term.
Jan 7, 2025
Posts double-double in loss
Washington logged 17 points (7-22 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 10 boards, five assists and three steals during 32 minutes of action in the 119-104 loss to the Grizzlies on Monday.
ANALYSIS
The big man led his team in scoring and, although his efficiency left much to be desired, he stuffed the stat sheet nonetheless. With Daniel Gafford (ankle) playing just eight minutes before leaving the game and Luka Doncic (calf) and Kyrie Irving (back) already out, the offensive load fell on Washington, who took more shots Monday than he has all season. Since Doncic is shut down for the foreseeable future, Irving has been deemed out for one-to-two weeks and head coach Jason Kidd has called Gafford's future availability into question, Washington could remain the team's top option going forward.
Jan 3, 2025
Will play Friday against Cleveland
Washington (knee) is available for Friday's game against the Cavaliers, Brad Townsend of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington sprained his right knee in the second quarter of Wednesday's loss to the Rockets and did not return for the second half. He was initially listed as questionable for Friday's game, but the injury doesn't appear severe enough for the 26-year-old forward to be sidelined. Washington's availability is crucial for a Dallas team that will be without Luka Doncic (calf) and Kyrie Irving (illness) for Friday's tilt.
Jan 2, 2025
Iffy for Friday
Washington (knee) has been listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Washington suffered a right knee sprain in Wednesday's game against the Rockets. The veteran forward may be unable to take the floor on Friday against the Cavaliers, which would be a costly loss for Dallas. He averages 12.5 points and 7.4 rebounds per game this season. If Washington is ruled out, Maxi Kleber (oblique) is also listed as questionable, and Naji Marshall is serving a suspension, which means the Mavericks will be thin in the frontcourt and may have to turn to Klay Thompson and Olivier-Maxence Prosper or potentially Dwight Powell or Daniel Gafford to help out at power forward.
Jan 1, 2025
Suffers knee sprain
Washington has been ruled out for the remainder of Wednesday's game against Houston due to a right knee sprain.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear when Washington exactly sustained the injury, but he'll be unavailable for the rest of Wednesday's game. Maxi Kleber started the second half in Washington's place and should see extended action. Washington's next chance to play will come Friday against Cleveland.
Dec 31, 2024
Posts season-high 28 points
Washington had 28 points (8-20 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 8-10 FT), four rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal over 38 minutes during Monday's 110-100 loss to Sacramento.
ANALYSIS
Washington had a thunderous return to the lineup after serving a one-game suspension, although his season-high total wasn't enough to turn the tide against the Kings. Kyrie Irving's (shoulder) absence provided some additional shot opportunities for the rest of the starting five, and Washington attempted a season-high 20 shots, eclipsing his previous high by a wide margin. The big man also flashed his proficiency as a long-range threat, drilling a season-high four three-pointers during the loss.
Dec 28, 2024
Dealt one-game suspension
Washington has been issued a one-game suspension for his role in an on-court altercation during Friday's game against Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
Naji Marshall and Jusuf Nurkic initiated the altercation and exchanged strikes, prompting Washington to step in and push Nurkic to the floor. Washington will serve his suspension Saturday at Portland, meaning the next time he'll be available to take the floor will be Monday against the Kings. With Marshall also sidelined for Saturday's contest, Maxi Kleber, Olivier-Maxence Prosper and Quentin Grimes should see more minutes.
Dec 27, 2024
Gets tossed Friday vs. Phoenix
Washington was ejected in the third quarter of Friday's game against the Suns. He'll end the night with seven points (2-5 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds and two assists over 20 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Jusuf Nurkic and Naji Marshall got into a fight midway through the first quarter, and Washington joined the duo in being tossed after shoving Nurkic to the ground. The Mavericks will turn to Maxi Kleber, Spencer Dinwiddie, Quentin Grimes and Olivier-Maxence Prosper due to the ejections of Washington and Marshall.
Dec 25, 2024
Underwhelming performance in loss
Washington logged seven points (3-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 40 minutes during Wednesday's 105-99 loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Washington had one of his worst games of the season, scoring fewer than 10 points for the first time in the past 11 games. Although his offensive and defensive production can fluctuate from game to game, his value to this team cannot be overstated. When all is said and done, he provides the Mavericks with a viable threat on both ends of the floor, currently averaging 12.4 points and 7.9 rebounds to go with 2.4 combined steals and blocks.
Dec 14, 2024
Good to go Sunday
Washington (illness) isn't on the injury report for Sunday's game versus the Warriors, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington will return to action Sunday after missing Dallas' most recent outing due to an illness. The 26-year-old forward should reclaim his starting spot from Quentin Grimes against Golden State.
Dec 13, 2024
Returns to practice Friday
Coach Jason Kidd said that Washington (illness) was a participant at Friday's practice, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington sat out of Tuesday's NBA Cup Quarterfinals loss to the Thunder due to an illness, though he appears to be gearing up for a return to game action for Sunday's matchup against the Warriors. The 26-year-old continues to play a crucial role in the club's offensive scheme, and in his last five outings he has averaged 14.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.2 blocks and 0.8 steals while shooting 44.4 percent from beyond the arc across 33.6 minutes per game.
Dec 10, 2024
Officially ruled out
Washington (illness) won't play in Tuesday's NBA Cup Quarterfinal game against the Thunder, Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington has been downgraded from questionable to out Tuesday due to an illness. The 26-year-old forward's next chance to suit up will come Saturday if Dallas is able to advance in the NBA Cup.
Dec 10, 2024
Expected to sit out Tuesday
The Mavericks are expecting Washington (illness) to miss Tuesday's NBA Cup Quarterfinal game against the Thunder, NBA writer Marc Stein reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington is officially listed as questionable for Tuesday's contest but is now expected to sit out. Naji Marshall (illness) will likely receive increased playing time in his absence.
Dec 9, 2024
Iffy for Tuesday
Washington (illness) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Thunder, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Naji Marshall (illness) is also questionable, while Maxi Kleber (illness) has already been ruled out. Washington has a massive role for the Mavericks, so if he's unable to go, it's likely that coach Jason Kidds rolls with a committee approach to soak up his minutes.
Dec 6, 2024
Extends double-digit scoring streak
Washington chipped in 10 points (2-7 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and two blocks across 24 minutes during Thursday's 137-101 victory over Washington.
ANALYSIS
Although he didn't play in the fourth quarter of Thursday's rout, Washington was still able to put forth a modest effort and reach double digits in scoring in his eighth consecutive game before his night came to a close. Through his last 10 contests, Washington is averaging 16.2 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.3 blocks, 1.1 steals and 2.0 three-pointers while shooting a scorching 54.1 percent from deep. The 26-year-old stretch four has solidified himself as Dallas' starting power forward this season, and he should continue offering disruptive defense to the Mavericks while seeing plenty of open looks from downtown as opposing defenses focus on containing Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.
Nov 28, 2024
Comes close to triple-double
Washington produced 19 points (7-12 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT), 10 rebounds, seven assists, two blocks and one steal over 36 minutes during Wednesday's 129-114 victory over the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Even though Kyrie Irving, Naji Marshall and Quentin Grimes led the Mavericks on offense in this win, there's no question Washington had a massive impact on this victory due to his two-way contributions. The veteran forward finished just three assists away from a triple-double, and he continues to find ways to remain productive even if he's not scoring at a high rate. Washington is averaging 17.3 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.3 blocks per game across his last six outings while posting five double-doubles in that stretch.
Nov 25, 2024
Impresses with double-double
Washington notched 21 points (7-14 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 6-7 FT), 10 rebounds, three assists and two steals across 40 minutes during Sunday's 123-118 overtime loss to Miami.
ANALYSIS
Washington has really started to find his form with three double-doubles in his last four games. In that span, Washington has averaged 18.5 points, 11.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.0 three-pointers. With Luka Doncic sidelined by a wrist issue, there should be plenty of usage to go around in Dallas.
Nov 23, 2024
Double-double in Friday's win
Washington provided 22 points (8-15 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 6-7 FT), 13 rebounds, one assist and three steals over 36 minutes during Friday's 123-120 win over the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
It's the second double-double in three games for Washington since he returned to the Dallas starting lineup. The 26-year-old forward missed five games earlier this month with a knee injury and delivered an unimpressive four-point, six-rebound effort Tuesday against the Pelicans, but he's at least been consistent on the defensive end. In those three starts, he's recorded four steals and three blocks.
Nov 18, 2024
Career night on glass
Washington racked up 27 points (7-13 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 10-10 FT), 17 rebounds, two assists and two blocks over 28 minutes during Sunday's 121-119 win over Oklahoma City.
ANALYSIS
The 17 boards were a career high for the 26-year-old forward, who also produced a season-high scoring effort in the absence of Luka Doncic (knee). Washington missed five games himself earlier this month due to knee trouble, and he was making his first start since Nov. 4. Doncic isn't expected to be sidelined for long, but Washington could continue to see elevated usage as long as the Mavs' superstar is unavailable.
Nov 17, 2024
Back in starting lineup
Washington will start Sunday's game against the Thunder, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington returned to the lineup Friday in a limited role after missing five straight games due to a knee injury, but he will return to the starting lineup Sunday. With Luka Doncic (knee) out of the lineup, Washington may be called upon more often offensively.
Nov 17, 2024
Minutes capped in return
Washington (knee) came off the bench and recorded zero points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt), four rebounds, two assists and two steals across 19 minutes in Saturday's 110-93 win over the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Making his return from a five-game absence due to a sprained right knee, Washington was eased back into the Dallas rotation as a reserve after he had started in each of the Mavericks' first seven contests of the season. Once he's further removed from the injury, Washington should eventually move back to the top unit and take back a near-30-minute role, but he'll likely face some restrictions once again Sunday in Oklahoma City, if Dallas makes him active for the contest.
Nov 16, 2024
Will play on minutes restriction
Washington (knee) is available for Saturday's game against the Spurs, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Head coach Jason Kidd relayed Saturday that Washington -- who has missed the Mavericks' last five games due to a sprained right knee -- is unlikely to see heavy minutes in his return. Washington may be inserted back into the starting lineup if Naji Marshall is unable to play due to an illness.
Nov 16, 2024
Now likely to play Saturday
Washington (knee) is listed as probable for Saturday's game versus the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Washington has been upgraded from doubtful to probable Saturday after missing Dallas' last five contests with a sprained right knee. If Washington is ultimately deemed available against San Antonio, he could reclaim his starting spot from Maxi Kleber.
Nov 16, 2024
Upgraded to questionable
Washington (knee) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game versus the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Washington has missed Dallas' last five contests due to a right sprain. However, Washington's status being upgraded to questionable is a good sign that he is nearing a return to action.
Nov 15, 2024
Doubtful for Saturday
Washington (knee) is listed as doubtful for Saturday's game versus the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Washington has been a mainstay on the injury report due to a sprained right knee, and he is in jeopardy of missing his sixth consecutive outing. The 26-year-old was also ruled doubtful ahead of Thursday's loss to Utah, and if he is unable to suit up Naji Marshall and Maxi Kleber are candidates for an increased role.
Nov 14, 2024
Officially ruled out Thursday
Washington (knee) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Jazz, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington will miss his fifth consecutive outing due to a right knee sprain. The 26-year-old was deemed doubtful before being officially ruled out, and his next chance to suit up will come Saturday against the Spurs. With Washington out, Naji Marshall is expected to draw the start at power forward once again.
Nov 13, 2024
Deemed doubtful
Washington (knee) is listed as doubtful for Thursday's game against the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Washington has missed four consecutive games due to a right knee sprain and is on track to miss a fifth. Naji Marshall has started in Washington's place and should be expected to do so again Thursday if Washington can't go.
Nov 12, 2024
Officially ruled out
Washington (knee) won't play in Tuesday's game versus the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Washington will miss his fourth straight game after being downgraded from doubtful to out Tuesday due to a sprained right knee. Washington's next chance to suit up is Thursday's matchup with Utah.
Nov 11, 2024
Unlikely to play Tuesday
Washington (knee) is listed as doubtful for Tuesday's game against the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
It's likely that Washington will miss his fourth straight game Tuesday due to a right knee sprain. Naji Marshall and Jaden Hardy have seen an uptick in playing time off the bench while Washington has been sidelined.
Nov 10, 2024
Officially out vs. Denver
Washington (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Nuggets, Adam Mares of DenverStiffs.com reports.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Washington will miss a fourth straight game due to a right knee sprain. Naji Marshal and Olivier-Maxence Prosper will continue to see more minutes off the bench Sunday while Washington is sidelined. Washington's next chance at playing will be Tuesday against the Warriors.
Nov 9, 2024
Unlikely to play against Denver
Washington (knee) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game versus the Nuggets, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington is expected to miss his third straight contest Friday due to a sprained right knee. If Washington is ultimately ruled out yet again, Naji Marshall will likely draw another start.
Nov 7, 2024
Still out Friday
Washington (knee) won't play in Friday's game versus the Suns, Brad Townsend of The Dallas Morning News reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington will miss his second straight contest Friday while dealing with a sprained right knee. Naji Marshall should continue to start in his absence. Washington's next chance to suit up is Sunday's matchup with Denver.
Nov 5, 2024
Won't play against Chicago
Washington is out for Wednesday's game versus the Bulls due to a right knee sprain.
ANALYSIS
Washington appears to have injured his knee during Tuesday's loss to Indiana and will be held out Wednesday. In his absence, Naji Marshall will likely receive increased playing time. Washington's next chance to suit up is Friday's matchup with Phoenix.
Oct 29, 2024
Records double-double Monday
Washington accumulated 12 points (6-11 FG, 0-4 3Pt), 11 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and four steals over 33 minutes during Monday's 110-102 victory over the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Washington made his presence felt on both ends of the court Monday and posted his first double-double of the campaign. Even though he's scored in double digits in two of his first three appearances this season, his role in the Mavs' offensive scheme is secondary, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect massive contributions out of him on a game-to-game basis.
Oct 14, 2024
Back in starting lineup Monday
Washington will enter the starting lineup during Monday's preseason matchup against the Clippers, Justin Russo of the 'Clip & Roll' podcast reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington has been nursing a hip injury throughout the preseason, though he will slide back into the starting five in his first preseason game. The 26-year-old will replace Olivier-Maxence Prosper in the starting five, though Washington will likely be limited during his return.
Oct 14, 2024
Absent from injury report
Washington (hip) isn't listed on the injury report ahead of Monday's preseason game against the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Washington has been nursing a hip injury since the beginning of preseason play, but he was cleared for non-contact work Saturday and now appears poised to make his preseason debut Monday evening. It wouldn't be a surprise to see Dallas play it same with Washington in terms of playing time during Monday's exhibition with the regular season right around the corner.
Oct 12, 2024
Goes through non-contact practice
Washington (hip) participated in non-contact practice Saturday, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington continues to progress in his recovery from a hip injury. While Washington's status for Monday's preseason contest against the Clippers is uncertain, he should be good to go once the regular season rolls around.
Oct 11, 2024
Progressing to 3-on-3 drills
Washington (hip) has progressed to 3-on-3 contact drills during practice, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington has yet to play in the preseason, but his progression in practice bodes well for his availability on Opening Night. The 26-year-old's next chance to suit up will come Monday against the Clippers, though he may remain sidelined throughout the preseason.
Oct 10, 2024
Out once again
Washington (hip) will not play in Thursday's preseason game against the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Washington is set to miss a second consecutive preseason contest due to a hip issue. His next chance to play will come against the Clippers on Monday, but his focus is on getting ready for the start of the regular season against the Spurs on Oct. 24.
Oct 7, 2024
Dealing with hip issue
Washington will not play in Monday's preseason game against Memphis due to left hip tightness.
ANALYSIS
Presumably, the Mavericks are just being cautious with four starters getting the night off. Washington should be considered questionable for Thursday's preseason game against Utah. In 29 regular-season games for Dallas in 2023-24, Washington averaged 11.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.9 blocks.
Jun 18, 2024
Struggles in Game 5 loss
Washington ended Monday's 106-88 loss to Boston in Game 5 of the NBA Finals with four points (2-7 FG, 0-5 3Pt), six rebounds, three assists and two blocks across 34 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Washington produced one of his worst games of the playoffs in Game 5. Overall, he was a key part of Dallas' starting five, averaging 13.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.8 blocks and 0.7 steals in 22 starts. The Mavericks acquired the 25-year-old at the trade deadline, and he averaged 11.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.9 blocks across 29 regular-season games. Dallas has Washington under contract until the 2026-27 season and will look to return to the NBA Finals next season, likely keeping most, if not all, of their core group from this season.

Struggles in Game 5 loss
Washington ended Monday's 106-88 loss to Boston in Game 5 of the NBA Finals with four points (2-7 FG, 0-5 3Pt), six rebounds, three assists and two blocks across 34 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Washington produced one of his worst games of the playoffs in Game 5, during which he averaged 13.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.8 blocks and 0.7 steals in 22 starts. The Mavericks acquired the 25-year-old at the Feb. 8 trade deadline, and he averaged 11.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.9 blocks across 29 regular-season games. Dallas has Washington under contract until the 2026-27 season, and will look to return to the NBA Finals next season, likely keeping most, if not all, of their core group from this season.
Jun 13, 2024
Comes close to double-double
Washington finished with 13 points (3-9 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-6 FT), eight rebounds and two assists across 39 minutes during Wednesday's 106-99 loss to the Celtics in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.
ANALYSIS
Washington finished just two rebounds shy of recording what would've been his first double-double in the playoffs since May 15, when he recorded 10 points and 10 rebounds in the Game 5 win over the Thunder. He's been surprisingly consistent in the Finals despite Dallas' three straight losses, scoring in double figures and grabbing at least seven boards in each outing. He'll aim to keep this streak going in Game 4 on Friday.
Jun 10, 2024
Gets offense going inside arc
Washington notched 17 points (6-13 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one block across 40 minutes during Sunday's 105-98 loss to Boston in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.
ANALYSIS
Despite going 1-for-5 from three, Washington put together an efficient performance, playing physical in the paint. His 17 points were his most since May 13, which was Game 4 against the Thunder. Now, for a critical Game 3, Dallas goes home, where Washington is averaging 14.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.4 assists in the postseason.
Jun 6, 2024
Sniffs double-double in Game 1 loss
Washington closed Thursday's 107-89 loss to the Celtics in Game 1 of the NBA Finals with 14 points (5-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 4-6 FT), eight rebounds and one assist over 36 minutes.
ANALYSIS
The Mavericks struggled on offense all game long and didn't even reach the 90-point mark, but Washington was one of the few decent performers on a Dallas team that looked overmatched at times. Washington has looked comfortable being Dallas' third-best offensive player during this postseason run, but his efforts were not enough in this lopsided defeat. Washington has now scored in double digits in each of his last six playoff outings.
May 27, 2024
Comes close to double-double
Washington chipped in 16 points (5-10 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds and two assists across 40 minutes during Sunday's 116-107 win over the Timberwolves in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.
ANALYSIS
Washington finished just two rebounds shy of a double-double, meaning he's now gone four playoff contests without reaching that feat, but he's been remarkably consistent as a scoring alternative. Despite not being anything more than Dallas' third-best scoring option -- on his best games -- it's worth noting Washington has scored in double digits in all but one of his last 10 appearances, a span in which he's averaging 15.9 points per game while shooting 41.3 from beyond the arc.
May 14, 2024
Keeps scoring run alive
Washington accumulated 21 points (7-19 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 2-4 FT), 12 rebounds and one block over 41 minutes during Monday's 100-96 loss to the Thunder in Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
ANALYSIS
The Mavericks failed to protect their home court and had to settle for a tough loss in Game 4, but one of the few positives in Monday's loss was that Washington continues to perform well even when he commands more attention from the opposing defenses. Washington has been Dallas' second-best player in this series, reaching the 20-point mark in three straight appearances and recording two double-doubles in the series. Game 5 is scheduled for Wednesday at Oklahoma City.
May 11, 2024
Scores team-high 27 points
Washington contributed 27 points (11-23 FG, 5-12 3Pt), six rebounds and two assists in 40 minutes during Saturday's 105-101 win over the Thunder in Game 3 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
ANALYSIS
Washington enjoyed another splendid shooting night beyond the arc after draining seven shots from downtown in Game 2. His 23 shot attempts matched a season high for Washington, who is averaging 13.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 1.3 assists and 1.0 blocks in the playoffs. He's also converting 52.9 percent of his shots during the postseason.
May 10, 2024
Solid output in Game 2 victory
Washington produced 29 points (11-18 FG, 7-11 3Pt, 0-1 FT), 11 rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals across 40 minutes before fouling out of Thursday's 119-110 victory over the Thunder in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
ANALYSIS
Kyrie Irving didn't have his best performance Thursday, but Washington stepped up in a game where the Mavericks needed someone to carry the offensive load alongside Luka Doncic. This was Washington's best game of the current playoff run, as it was his first double-double since April 7. Washington is averaging 13.0 points and 6.1 rebounds per game in the playoffs, and he's scored in double digits in all but one of his eight appearances to date.
Apr 26, 2024
Ejected in Game 3 win
Washington chipped in 10 points (5-10 FG, 0-4 3Pt), five rebounds, one assist, one block and three steals over 34 minutes before getting ejected from Friday's 101-90 win over the Clippers in Game 3 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
ANALYSIS
Washington was ejected following a scuffle with Russell Westbrook, much to the delight of the home fans. While losing a player is never a good thing, his energy and willingness to not back down proved a hit with the Dallas faithful. Before his premature exit, Washington managed to put together another strong performance. He will look to maintain that energy heading into Game 4 Sunday.
Apr 21, 2024
Posts double figures in Game 1 loss
Washington racked up 11 points (4-10 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, one block and two steals over 37 minutes during Sunday's 109-97 loss to the Clippers in Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.
ANALYSIS
Washington connected on a pair of threes while ending three boards shy of a double-double and concluding Sunday's Game 1 as one of three Mavericks with a double-digit point total in a losing effort. Washington concluded the regular season by tallying 10 or more points in seven of his last 10 contests.
Apr 20, 2024
Ready for Game 1 on Sunday
Washington (ankle) is not in the official injury report and will be available with no limitations for Game 1 of the series against the Clippers on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Washington didn't play in the Mavericks' final game of the regular season, but he will be ready to go for the series opener Sunday. Expect him to handle his regular workload in the frontcourt in his regular starting role. Washington averaged 14.0 points and 7.2 rebounds per game over his last 10 regular-season appearances.
Apr 13, 2024
Won't play Sunday
Washington won't play Sunday against the Thunder due to a right ankle sprain.
ANALYSIS
This is a new issue for Washington, but the Mavericks are likely holding him out as a precaution. Coach Jason Kidd previously hinted that he would be holding out a lot of players, and most of the rotation is indeed getting the night off.
Apr 10, 2024
Held to one point
Washington racked up one point (0-7 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and one steal in 28 minutes during Tuesday's 130-104 victory over the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
This was a rare dud for Washington, and fantasy managers just need to chalk it up as a bad night. Despite this poor showing, Washington holds averages of 14.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.1 blocks over his last 10 games.
Apr 6, 2024
Steps up sans Doncic
Washington had 32 points (12-18 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 3-5 FT), five rebounds, three assists, two blocks and five steals across 40 minutes during Friday's 108-106 win over the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Luka Doncic (knee) didn't play in the contest, leaving a massive hole in the team's offensive attack. Washington stepped up to help fill the void, pouring in a team-leading 32 points, his most since joining Dallas via trade in early February. Washington's scoring has been up and down as a member of the Mavs, but he may be starting to find a groove in that regard, as he's scored at least 19 points in each of his past three games.
Apr 5, 2024
Hits five threes vs. Hawks
Washington supplied 19 points (6-11 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in 36 minutes during Thursday's 109-95 win over the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
His five threes Thursday marked the fifth time this season Washington has reached that mark. He's scored in double digits in five of his last six games and has settled into a complementary role on offense next to Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. As a starter with the Mavericks, Washington is averaging 11.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.0 blocks and 1.0 steals over 32.5 minutes per game.
Apr 3, 2024
Goes for 20 points Tuesday
Washington recorded 20 points (8-19 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, one block and three steals over 36 minutes during Tuesday's 104-100 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Washington has adjusted well to the Mavericks' offensive scheme, and he has already established himself as the starting power forward. Washington has found a way to produce despite playing a secondary role in Dallas' offensive scheme, scoring in double digits in four of his last five appearances. He's averaging 11.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game since joining Dallas from Washington before the trade deadline.
Mar 27, 2024
Records double-double in win
Washington registered 14 points (5-11 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 0-2 FT), 13 rebounds and two assists across 32 minutes during Tuesday's 132-96 win over the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Washington registered his first double-double in Dallas during the lopsided victory, further cementing his full-time role at the four. The former Hornet has come close to the milestone a couple of times, but if Daniel Gafford and Dereck Lively continue to post subpar stat lines, his opportunities to get sufficient rebound numbers should increase.
Mar 24, 2024
Not listed on injury report
Washington (ankle) isn't named on the Dallas injury report ahead of Monday's game against the Jazz, Grant Afseth of NBAAnalysis.net reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington appeared to suffer a right ankle injury during Friday's game against Washington, but after being evaluated further, he'll be ready to go for Monday's clash. The 25-year-old has been held in check in the scoring column of late, averaging 7.0 points over his last seven appearances.
Mar 22, 2024
May have tweaked ankle Thursday
Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd said after Thursday's 113-97 win over the Jazz that Washington will be re-evaluated Friday after the big man appeared to suffer a right ankle injury late in the fourth quarter, Grant Afseth of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Kidd suggested that Washington may have inadvertently stepped on another player's foot, though Brad Townsend of The Dallas Morning News relays that the 25-year-old looked to have tweaked his right ankle when he slipped on a wet spot on the court. Whatever the case, Washington turned in another disappointing offensive performance before checking out of the game for good with 1:59 remaining, finishing with six points (3-9 FG, 0-4 3Pt), five rebounds, two steals, two blocks and one assist in 33 minutes. Over his last seven games, Washington is averaging 7.0 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.1 steals, 1.1 blocks, 1.0 assists and 0.7 three-pointers in 31.4 minutes per contest while shooting a dismal 32.8 percent from the field and 60 percent from the free-throw line. Though Washington's playing time appears stable and his shooting should improve in the games to come, fantasy manager in leagues with daily lineup moves likely can't afford to hold him at this stage of the season while he's in a massive slump and dealing with a
Mar 12, 2024
Cold streak continues
Washington produced seven points (3-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt), five rebounds, one block and two steals across 23 minutes during Monday's 127-92 victory over Chicago.
ANALYSIS
Washington has struggled to 3-for-12 shooting from beyond the arc over the last three games. He has started in 12 consecutive games for Dallas, so he appears locked into the starting role, although he has yet to deliver consistent fantasy production in his new setting.
Mar 2, 2024
Struggles offensively Friday
Washington had 17 points (7-16 FG, 3-9 3Pt), seven rebounds and one block across 35 minutes during Friday's 138-110 loss to the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Washington was unable to build off his impressive effort against the Raptors, when he posted 23 points (9-16 FG, 5-10 3Pt), six rebounds and three blocks in 31 minutes during a 136-125 win on Wednesday, though that was also because he faced stronger rivals here, with Boston featuring one of the best defenses in the entire league. Washington has adjusted well to life in Dallas and seems to have earned a regular starting role. He's averaging 11.0 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game over his last seven appearances, all starts, with the Mavs.
Feb 29, 2024
Impressive against Toronto
Washington finished Wednesday's 136-125 win over Toronto with 23 points (9-16 FG, 5-10 3Pt), six rebounds and three blocks in 31 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Washington had his best game since joining the Mavericks before the trade deadline, making his presence felt on both ends of the court and posting his best scoring output since Jan. 31, when he was still playing for the Hornets in a win over the Bulls. Washington seems to have settled into a starting role with the Mavericks, though he needs to be more consistent, particularly from a scoring perspective, to have more fantasy upside. To note, he has scored in single digits in three of his six starts with Dallas.
Feb 12, 2024
Enters starting five
Washington is starting Monday's game against the Wizards, Mark Followill of Bally Sports Southwest reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington came off the bench in his Dallas debut, and he's now set to make his first start since joining his new squad. He finished with 14 points, five boards, one assist and one steal in 24 minutes Saturday, so he'll likely shoulder around 30 minutes Monday now that he's better acclimated.
Feb 10, 2024
Serviceable performance Saturday
Washington accumulated 14 points (6-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one steal over 24 minutes during Saturday's 146-111 victory over the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Washington came off the bench in his Dallas debut, popping for 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting. Although he is unlikely to see as much playing time following the trade, he should still be on the floor enough to warrant attention in most fantasy formats. Given he played 24 minutes right out of the gate, managers shouldn't be surprised if he nudges 30 minutes per night moving forward.
Feb 10, 2024
Coming off bench in debut
Washington isn't in the starting lineup for Saturday's game versus the Rockets, Grant Afseth of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington is set to make his Mavericks debut Saturday against the Rockets. However, Washington will likely be eased into the rotation.
Feb 10, 2024
Set to make Mavericks debut
Washington (recently trade) is available for Saturday's game versus the Thunder, Grant Afseth of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington was traded from the Hornets to the Mavericks on Thursday. While he sat out against the Knicks, the 25-year-old forward will make his Dallas debut Saturday. Washington is expected to enter the starting lineup.
Feb 8, 2024
Dealt to Dallas
The Hornets are finalizing a trade to send Washington to the Mavericks in exchange for Grant Williams, Seth Curry and a first-round pick, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
After starting in all 73 appearances for Charlotte in 2022-23, Washington has started just 17 out of 44 games for the Hornets this season. In 2023-24, he is averaging 13.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 29.2 minutes. While Washington's 44.6/32.4/71.3 shooting splits aren't stellar, he will likely start in Dallas' frontcourt and provide another scoring option to support Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.
Feb 5, 2024
Drops 22 against Pacers
Washington amassed 22 points (9-16 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 3-5 FT), nine rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals in 32 minutes off the bench during Sunday's 115-99 loss to Indiana.
ANALYSIS
It's the third time in the last five games Washington has delivered more than 20 points. Over the last 10 contests, the fifth-year forward has played 30.9 minutes a game while bouncing between the bench and the starting five, averaging 17.7 points, 5.1 boards, 2.3 threes, 1.9 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.8 blocks over that stretch while shooting 54.8 percent from the floor and 41.1 percent from beyond the arc.
Feb 1, 2024
One-man second unit Wednesday
Washington ended with 26 points (10-17 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and one block across 36 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 117-110 loss to Chicago.
ANALYSIS
The fifth-year forward's strong numbers from the second unit look even better considering that the rest of the Charlotte bench combined for only 11 points and seven boards. Washington has filled a variety of roles of late, starting four of the last eight games, but that deployment seems to be agreeing with him -- he's averaging 18.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.8 threes, 2.0 assists and 0.9 blocks over that stretch while shooting 57.6 percent from the floor and 46.8 percent (22-for-47) from long distance in 31.4 minutes a contest.
Jan 31, 2024
Back to bench
Washington won't start Wednesday's game against the Bulls, Sam Perley of the Hornets' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The Hornets went big against the Knicks on Monday, with Washington, Miles Bridges, Nick Richards, Brandon Miller and Cody Martin starting. However, they'll roll out a more traditional lineup Wednesday, with Bryce McGowens replacing Washington. The latter should still handle a sizable role off the bench, as he's averaged 29.7 minutes over his last nine appearances (four starts).
Jan 29, 2024
Will start Monday
Washington will start Monday's game against the Knicks, Sam Perley of the Hornets' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington will replace Ish Smith in the starting lineup, with LaMelo Ball (ankle) still out. Washington is deserving of a starting spot after exploding for a season-high 43 points Saturday, but it's unclear how a frontcourt of Washington, Miles Bridges and Nick Richards will work for spacing purposes. Across 16 starts this season, Washington has averaged 14.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals-plus-blocks in 32.2 minutes per game.
Jan 28, 2024
Explodes for season-high 43 points
Washington recorded 43 points (17-22 FG, 7-9 3Pt, 2-3 FT), two rebounds, three assists and two steals across 36 minutes during Saturday's 134-122 loss to Utah.
ANALYSIS
Washington was a man on a mission Saturday, going off to the tune of 43 points. Given he had scored more than 20 points only three times all season before Saturday, it's safe to assume this was more of an outlier than what to expect moving forward. He is someone who should be rostered in most formats, at least while the Hornets are without a few key players, but this could also be viewed as a possible sell-high opportunity.
Jan 25, 2024
Productive off bench Wednesday
Washington had 12 points (4-6 FG, 4-6 3Pt), six rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal across 28 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 113-106 loss to the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
After starting the prior three games with Nick Richards sidelined by an ankle injury, Washington moved back to the second unit and supplied a solid all-around performance. The 25-year-old forward missed three games himself earlier in the month with a foot issue, but since returning he's seen at least 24 minutes in six straight contests regardless of his role, averaging 10.8 points, 5.5 boards, 2.0 threes, 1.8 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.7 blocks while shooting 50.0 percent from the floor and 44.4 percent (12-for-27) from long distance.
Jan 24, 2024
Returns to bench
Washington isn't in the starting five for Wednesday's game versus the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Nick Richards will replace P.J. Washington in the starting lineup Wednesday after missing the previous three games with an ankle injury. Washington is averaging 10.7 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 24.7 minutes across his last 10 appearances coming off the bench.
Jan 19, 2024
Moves into starting linueup
Washington will start Friday's game against the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
With Mark Williams (back) and Nick Richards (ankle) sidelined, the Hornets will go small with Miles Bridges and Washington in the frontcourt. Over his previous 13 starts this season, Washington has averaged 14.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.3 steals-plus-blocks in 32.9 minutes per game.
Jan 15, 2024
Limited production in return
Washington (foot) tallied five points (2-7 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 0-2 FT), six rebounds, one assist and one steal across 28 minutes in Sunday's 104-87 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Cleared return to action after a three-game absence due to a right foot sprain, Washington served as the Hornets' top big man off the bench, but he wasn't able to get much going during his time on the court. Washington will likely continue to pick up minutes behind both Miles Bridges and Nick Richards in the frontcourt in the short term, though his path to playing time at center will likely become blocked once Mark Williams (back) makes his return from an extended absence.
Jan 14, 2024
Upgraded to available
Washington (foot) is available for Sunday's game against Miami.
ANALYSIS
Surprisingly, Washington has been upgraded from doubtful to available and will make his first appearance since Jan. 5. Given the three-game absence, Washington may face a minute restriction Sunday, but he should still be one of the top forwards off Charlotte's bench. Over his last eight appearances before the injury, Washington averaged 13.8 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.4 steals in 28.5 minutes per game.
Jan 13, 2024
Unlikely to play Sunday
Washington (foot) is doubtful for Sunday's game against Miami.
ANALYSIS
It appears that Washington will sit out a fourth straight game. The Hornets will be very thin in the frontcourt, as Brandon Miller (back) is also doubtful. Guys like Bryce McGowens, JT Thor and Nick Smith could see increased roles Sunday.
Jan 12, 2024
Confirmed out Friday
Washington (foot) will not play in Friday's game against the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
No surprises here, as Washington was considered doubtful prior to this update. Washington should be considered questionable at best for Sunday's game against Miami, as he's yet to return to practice.
Jan 11, 2024
Unlikely to play Friday
Washington (foot) is doubtful for Friday's game against the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Washington continues to deal with a right foot sprain and will likely be forced to miss a third consecutive matchup. Assuming he's ruled out once again, Nathan Mensah, Nick Smith and JT Thor are candidates to see increased run.
Jan 10, 2024
Officially ruled out
Washington (foot) won't play in Wednesday's game versus the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Washington will miss his second straight game Wednesday after being downgraded from doubtful to out with a right foot sprain. Nathan Mensah, Nick Smith and JT Thor are candidates to receive increased minutes in his absence. Washington's next chance to suit up is Friday's matchup with San Antonio.
Jan 9, 2024
Doubtful to play Wednesday
Washington is listed as doubtful for Wednesday's game against Sacramento
ANALYSIS
Washington is at risk of missing his second consecutive game due to a right foot sprain. Nick Richards logged a whopping 38 minutes in his absence Monday, while JT Thor and Nick Smith played enlarged roles.
Jan 7, 2024
Won't play Monday
Washington has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Bulls due to a right foot sprain, Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington sprained his right foot Friday against the Bulls and will be unavailable for the rematch a few days later. JT Thor saw increased playing time during Friday's matchup and could see an uptick in usage once again Monday.
Jan 5, 2024
Unlikely to return
Washington suffered a right ankle injury during Friday's game against the Bulls and is unlikely to return.
ANALYSIS
Washington checked out after just six minutes played, finishing scoreless with three rebounds and two assists. Assuming his night is done, the Hornets will likely rely on JT Thor and Nathan Mensah to absorb a handful of minutes off the bench.
Jan 3, 2024
Bounces back with 17 points
Washington amassed 17 points (7-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt), four rebounds, four assists and one steal over 29 minutes during Tuesday's 111-104 victory over the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Washington posted a quiet six-point effort and attempted only five field goals Monday in Denver, but he was able to bounce back with a solid performance on the second night of a back-to-back. The fifth-year forward finished with his highest point total over his past four games and made more than half of his shot attempts for the first time during that span. Washington is coming off the bench after beginning the campaign as a starter, but he's continues to be reasonably productive on offense by notching double-digit points in 12 of his 16 games as a reserve.
Jan 2, 2024
Oddly unincorporated
Washington posted six points (2-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT) and six rebounds in 26 minutes during Monday's 111-93 loss to the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Washington logged a normal workload but finished with his second-fewest shots of the season for any game he logged more than five minutes. The 25-year-old was volatile throughout December, but finished with palatable averages of 12.7 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. LaMelo Ball (ankle) returning to health down the stretch of the season could improve Washington's prospectus, but his inability to provide consistent production for an injury-riddled Hornets team is concerning.
Dec 29, 2023
Quiet in decisive loss
Washington supplied nine points (4-11 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and six rebounds across 25 minutes during Thursday's 133-112 loss to the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Washington's performance was arguably his worst since Nov. 17 against the Bucks, where he provided only three points, three rebounds and one assist in 26 minutes. Even when Washington struggles shooting the rock, he often uplifts his statline through supplementary stats. Fantasy managers shouldn't worry about one poor performance against a quality Lakers frontcourt of Anthony Davis and Jarred Vanderbilt.
Dec 23, 2023
Boosts offense off bench in win
Washington finished Saturday's 102-95 loss to the Nuggets with 20 points (6-20 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 7-9 FT), eight rebounds, two assists, two blocks and four steals over 28 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Washington led all bench players in Saturday's contest in points and rebounds while notching a team-best steals mark and ending two boards short of a double-double. Washington has tallied 20 or more points in five games this season, hauling in eight or more boards in five outings. He has recorded at least four steals in two of his last three games.
Dec 20, 2023
Not starting Wednesday
Washington won't start Wednesday's game against the Pacers, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
With Charlotte shorthanded, Washington drew a start Monday but will return to a reserve role Wednesday. Either way, his total minutes shouldn't change much, as he's averaged 29.1 minutes as a reserve (eight games) and 32.9 minutes as a starter (13 games) this season -- excluding the game he left due to injury.
Dec 19, 2023
Fills stat sheet
Washington had 15 points (5-16 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and four steals in 39 minutes during Monday's 114-99 loss to the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Washington had missed back-to-back games coming into Monday due to a shoulder issue, but he looked spry against the Raptors and put together one of his best displays of the season. Miles Bridges was denied entry into Toronto for Monday's game due to legal reasons, so Washington took advantage of the increased usage and minutes. Bridges should be back for Wednesday against the Pacers, while Gordon Hayward's (illness) status is in the air.
Dec 18, 2023
Officially cleared
Washington (shoulder) is available for Monday's game in Toronto.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Washington has been upgraded from questionable to available and will suit up after missing back-to-back games due to a shoulder injury. With Miles Bridges (not injury related), Nathan Mensah (personal) and Mark Williams (back) all out, Washington should play 30-plus minutes against Toronto.
Dec 18, 2023
Expected to play
Washington (shoulder), who's officially listed as questionable, is expected to play in Monday's game in Toronto, Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ANALYSIS
With Miles Bridges (not injury related) and Nathan Mensah (personal) out and Mark Williams (back) doubtful, Washington's presence will be vital to Charlotte's frontcourt. Washington has missed the past two games due to a shoulder injury, but he was playing well before that, averaging 12.4 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.0 steals in 29.3 minutes per game over his previous seven appearances.
Dec 17, 2023
Questionable for Monday
Washington (shoulder) is questionable for Monday's game against Toronto.
ANALYSIS
Washington has missed the last two games due to a shoulder injury, and it's unclear whether he'll be able to return to action Monday. If he's unavailable, JT Thor and Nick Richards are candidates to see increased run.
Dec 16, 2023
Officially ruled out
Washington (shoulder) won't play in Saturday's game versus Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
Washington has been downgraded from doubtful to out Saturday due to a shoulder injury. His next chance to suit up is Monday's matchup with Toronto.
Dec 16, 2023
Deemed doubtful
Washington (shoulder) is considered doubtful for Saturday's game versus the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Washington missed Friday's game after injuring his shoulder earlier in the week and is trending towards missing both games of the back-to-back set. He has not officially been ruled out, but barring a quick turnaround, Charlotte could be without both Mark Williams (back) and Washington in the frontcourt. If that is indeed the case, Nick Richards would be the prime beneficiary, while JR Thor could also enter the rotation.
Dec 15, 2023
Won't play Friday
Washington (shoulder) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Washington sustained a left shoulder injury Wednesday against Miami and will be forced to miss at least one game. Bryce McGowens and JT Thor are candidates to see increased run against New Orleans, while it's unclear whether Washington will be available Saturday against the 76ers.
Dec 14, 2023
Questionable for Friday
Washington (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Friday's game versus the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Washington left Wednesday's contest versus Miami early due to a left shoulder injury and could be held out of Friday's contest. Bryce McGowens and JT Thor would likely continue to receive extended minutes if Washington is ruled out.
Dec 13, 2023
Unlikely to return against Miami
Washington is doubtful to return to Wednesday's game versus the Heat due to a left shoulder injury.
ANALYSIS
Washington tallied one assist and one steal in four minutes before exiting Wednesday's contest. JT Thor and Bryce McGowens will likely receive extended minutes if Washington is unable to return.
Dec 12, 2023
Solid in loss
Washington recorded 15 points (5-11 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and one block in 32 minutes during Monday's 116-114 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Washington has cooled since supplying 17.2 points in the season's first 10 games, dipping to 10.8 points on 36.3 percent shooting since. Averaging 12.3 points across six games since LaMelo Ball suffered a serious ankle sprain, Washington ceiling has been dented slightly, but he's still a key piece of Charlotte's offense.
Dec 1, 2023
Contributes across the board
Washington finished Thursday's 129-128 win over the Nets with 10 points (2-11 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 4-4 FT), eight rebounds, five assists, two blocks and three steals in 33 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Brandon Miller (ankle) sat out Thursday's game, and although Washington didn't get the start, he reached 33 minutes for the first time since Nov. 18. Miles Bridges is clearly the favored option at power forward for Charlotte, but Washington's ability to contribute across the box score will help to keep his fantasy value afloat as a key part of the second unit.
Nov 26, 2023
Cleared to play
Washington (foot) is available for Sunday's game against the Magic.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Washington and Terry Rozier (groin) have both been upgraded from probable to available. With Miles Bridges back in the mix, Washington is expected to come off the bench. In his only bench appearance this season, Washington posted 15 points (6-13 FG), one rebound, one assist, two steals and one block in 28 minutes.
Nov 25, 2023
Expected to play Sunday
Washington (foot) is listed as probable for Sunday's game versus the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Washington is expected to return to action Sunday after missing Wednesday's contest with right foot discomfort. With Miles Bridges part of the starting rotation, Washington should serve as one of Charlotte's first options off the bench in the frontcourt.
Nov 25, 2023
Won't play Sunday
Washington (foot) is out for Sunday's game versus the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Washington will miss his second straight game Sunday due to right foot discomfort. Mark Williams and JT Thor will likely continue to receive extended minutes in his absence. Washington's next chance to suit up is Tuesday's matchup with the Knicks.
Nov 22, 2023
Late scratch
Washington has been ruled out for Wednesday's matchup against the Wizards due to right foot discomfort.
ANALYSIS
Washington is a late scratch after not appearing on any of Charlotte's previous injury reports. He recently lost his starting spot to Miles Bridges, so in Washington's absence, JT Thor is a candidate for increased bench minutes behind Bridges and Mark Williams.
Nov 21, 2023
Productive despite bench role
Washington ended Monday's 121-118 overtime victory over the Celtics with 15 points (6-13 FG, 3-9 3Pt), one rebound, one assist, one block and two steals in 28 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Washington moved to the bench Monday, ceding his starting spot to Miles Bridges. After a couple of poor performances, Washington got things back on track in the victory, a welcome sign for anyone still holding him in standard formats. Despite the fact his role is likely to be scaled back slightly, he remains a viable asset, albeit one who could very well end up on a few waiver wires should his numbers dwindle once again.
Nov 20, 2023
Moves to bench
Washington won't start Monday's game against the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Washington started each of his 12 appearances to start the season but will revert back to a bench role now that Miles Bridges is fully integrated into Charlotte's rotation. Washington hasn't come off the bench since the 2021-22 season, when he averaged career-low numbers across the board, so the move will undoubtedly be a blow to his fantasy value.
Nov 19, 2023
Struggles badly vs. New York
Washington finished with three points (1-10 FG, 1-7 3Pt), six rebounds, two assists, a steal and two blocks across 33 minutes in Saturday's 122-108 loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Washington delivered a 32-point performance against the Heat on Nov. 14, but that might have been an isolated situation since he has failed to reach the five-point mark in three of his last four contests. However, Washington scored in double digits in his first eight appearances, so this is nothing more than a slump for him -- albeit a noticeable one given the shooting woes. The five-year veteran will try to bounce back Monday in a tough matchup against the Celtics.
Nov 15, 2023
Usage monster again
Washington supplied 32 points (12-23 FG, 6-11 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and one assist over 36 minutes during Tuesday's 111-105 loss to Miami.
ANALYSIS
Washington stepped up with Gordon Hayward (hamstring), Brandon Miller (ankle) and Terry Rozier (groin) out. Washington's scoring isn't always conducive to Charlotte winning, but he's a huge part of the offense -- especially when he's connecting on threes at volume. It will be interesting to see the future allocation of Washington's minutes with Miles Bridges (suspension) returning Friday against Milwaukee.
Nov 13, 2023
Limited impact in loss
Washington closed Sunday's 129-107 loss to the Knicks with four points (1-8 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, three assists and one block across 22 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Washington saw fewer minutes than usual during Sunday's blowout loss, and he was held to single digits in the scoring column for the first time this year. While Sunday's inefficiency was discouraging, he's still shooting 47.5 percent from the floor this year and is averaging 15.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 32.7 minutes per game. However, he's also shooting just 26.8 percent from beyond the arc after converting 36.6 percent of his three-point attempts over his first four years in the league, so his scoring marks may improve slightly as the season progresses.
Nov 11, 2023
Double-double in win
Washington provided 11 points (5-15 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists and one steal in 38 minutes during Friday's 124-117 win over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Washington's double-double was his second of the season. However, he continues to struggle from beyond the arc, going 0-for-6, en route to a 27.8 percentage across eight games. Overall, he is averaging a career-high 17.0 points to go along with 5.9 rebounds, 2.1 rebounds, 0.5 steals, 0.6 blocks and 1.3 triples per contest.
Nov 2, 2023
Scores team-high 23
Washington had 23 points (8-13 FG, 5-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and three rebounds over 35 minutes during Wednesday's 128-119 loss to the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Washington caught fire from deep, which attests to his versatile scoring after posting 53 points through Charlotte's first three games while only making three triples and zero free throws. Logging three rebounds Wednesday is problematic as Charlotte continues losing games, but Washington still led the frontcourt in minutes played.
Oct 26, 2023
Booms for 25
Washington posted 25 points (12-18 FG, 1-6 3Pt), five rebounds and two assists over 32 minutes during Wednesday's 116-110 win over Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Washington got wherever he wanted in the paint, routinely overpowering defenders for dunks and beating opponents in the lane. His 25 points and 18 shots were both team-high marks. Washington leading Charlotte in volume shouldn't be a regularized expectation, but it's symbolic of a high nightly ceiling.
Oct 16, 2023
Surpasses 30 points in victory
Washington tallied 31 points (13-18 FG, 5-8 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 24 minutes in Sunday's 117-115 win over Oklahoma City.
ANALYSIS
Washington led all players in Sunday's preseason contest in scoring and shots made from three while finishing north of 30 points in just 24 minutes. Washington has averaged 17.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.0 blocks and 1.0 steals over three preseason games.
Aug 26, 2023
Re-signs with Charlotte
The Hornets signed Washington (foot) to a three-year, $48 million contract Saturday, Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington will remain in Charlotte after spending the first four years of his career with the franchise. In 2022-23, he averaged 15.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 blocks in 32.6 minutes across 73 appearances. Washington missed the final four games of last season with a foot injury but is set to begin the 2023-24 campaign as the Hornets' starting power forward.
Apr 8, 2023
Season over
Washington (foot) is out for Sunday's tilt against the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Washington will miss four straight games to conclude the season. The fourth-year big finishes the 2022-23 regular season with averages of 15.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 blocks in 32.6 minutes -- the points and minutes representing career marks.
Apr 6, 2023
Remains sidelined Friday
Washington (foot) is out for Friday's game versus Houston.
ANALYSIS
Washington will miss his third straight game Friday due to a right foot sprain. JT Thor has started in his absence. Washington's next chance to suit up is Sunday's matchup with the Cavaliers, although he could sit out that game, too with the Hornets already eliminated from playoff contention.
Apr 3, 2023
Sitting again Tuesday
Washington (foot) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against Toronto.
ANALYSIS
The Hornets will be without several players once again Tuesday, and Washington will sit for a second consecutive game. Kai Jones should continue to see increased run against the Raptors, while Washington's next chance to play will be Friday against Houston.
Apr 2, 2023
Will not play Sunday
Washington (foot) will not play Sunday against Toronto.
ANALYSIS
The Hornets will be missing a total of seven players for Sunday's contest, and that includes most of their key players. Coach Steve Clifford mentioned that he may experiment with Kai Jones as a power forward, so that is something to watch for Sunday.
Apr 1, 2023
Termed questionable for Sunday
Washington (ankle) is considered questionable for Sunday's game versus the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Washington departed Friday's game versus the Bulls prematurely due to a right ankle sprain, so the questionable tag is at least a decent sign. Even so, the Hornets will presumably take every possible precaution with the big man, given the team's position well outside of the playoff picture.
Apr 1, 2023
Still sporting limp Saturday
Head coach Steve Clifford indicated Saturday that Washington still has a limp after spraining his ankle Friday night, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington logged 12 minutes before leaving Friday's contest for good, racking up eight points, two boards and two assists. With only four games left in the regular season and the Hornets well out of the playoff picture, the team will likely err on the side of caution to ensure the big man doesn't further damage the ankle.
Mar 31, 2023
Won't return due to foot sprain
Washington suffered a right foot sprain and will not return to Friday's game against the Bulls according toRoderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer.
ANALYSIS
Washington lasted just 11 minutes Friday, finishing with eight points, two rebounds, two assists and two three-pointers. The Hornets have been super cautious with all their key players in recent weeks, and this could be another case of that. If Washington misses additional time, we could see a lot of JT Thor for the Hornets.
Mar 29, 2023
Explodes for career-high 43 points
Washington finished with 43 points (16-24 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 6-7 FT), six rebounds, five assists and one steal across 37 minutes during Tuesday's 137-134 victory over the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
With the Hornets down numerous regulars, Washington stepped up and was lights out en route to a career-high 43 points. The fourth-year forward also dished out his most assists since Dec. 7, when he posted a season-high seven dimes. Over his last 10 appearances, Washington has averaged 19.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.0 blocks, and he figures to remain the Hornets' go-to playmaker as long as Gordon Hayward (thumb), Kelly Oubre (shoulder), Terry Rozier (foot) and Dennis Smith (toe) are sidelined.
Mar 26, 2023
Double-double against Mavs
Washington posted 21 points (9-22 FG, 3-8 3Pt), 12 rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal over 31 minutes during Sunday's 110-104 victory over the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
It's his first double-double in over a month, and his third of the season. Washington has found some consistency lately, scoring in double digits in nine of the last 10 games and averaging 16.8 points, 5.7 boards, 2.1 assists, 1.9 threes, 1.2 blocks and 1.1 steals over that stretch.
Mar 17, 2023
Serviceable performance Friday
Washington ended with 12 points (5-16 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals over 31 minutes during Friday's 121-82 loss to Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
Washington chipped in across the board, filling all the major categories in what was a modest, yet serviceable performance. The Hornets were completely outclassed in this one, so managers should be thrilled with the fact he was able to play meaningful minutes. Unfortunately, he was a team-worst minus-36, rounding out a night that Hornets fans would like to forget.
Mar 9, 2023
Balanced outing in 20-point game
Washington provided 20 points (6-15 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 7-11 FT), five rebounds, one assist, three blocks and two steals in 28 minutes during Thursday's 113-103 victory over the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Washington was one three Hornets 20 or more points Thursday, leading the team in blocks and steals in just 28 minutes of action. Washington has surpassed the 20-point mark 19 times this season, adding five or more rebounds in 13 of those outings.
Mar 6, 2023
Struggles in return
Washington accumulated eight points (3-11 FG, 2-6 3Pt), eight rebounds and three assists over 36 minutes during Sunday's 102-86 loss to the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Washington was back in the lineup after missing four consecutive games due to a foot injury, playing 36 minutes in what was an ugly defeat. The Hornets are simply playing for lottery balls at this point, somewhat that could go one of two ways for Washington. With LaMelo Ball (ankle) done for the season, there are going to be more shots available moving forward. While Washington should feature a bit more on the offensive end, his lack of efficiency could be an issue down the stretch, especially for anyone not punting field goal percentage.
Mar 5, 2023
Available to play
Washington (foot) will be available to play Sunday against the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Washington is back after a four-game stint on the sidelines, and his return will likely result in JT Thor returning to the second unit and Nick Richards' minutes could dip. Washington may have his minutes monitored in his first game back, but he's safe to activate in season-long settings.
Mar 4, 2023
Probable Sunday
Washington (foot) is probable for Sunday's matchup against the Nets, Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ANALYSIS
After four missed games with a sprained right foot, Washington is expected back Sunday, which should push JT Thor to the bench. Before Washington's absence, he was on a seven-game stretch with averages of 19.3 points, 6.4 boards, 2.1 assists, 1.9 blocks and 1.0 steals in 34.3 minutes.
Mar 3, 2023
Ruled out Friday
Washington (foot) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Magic, Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington was considered doubtful for Friday's matchup, so his unavailability is unsurprising. Coach Steve Clifford said Washington could return during the Hornets' upcoming road trip but noted that Thursday's matchup against Detroit would be more likely than either of the team's matchups in New York early in the week.
Mar 2, 2023
Expected to sit Friday
Washington (foot) is doubtful for Friday's game versus Orlando.
ANALYSIS
Washington will likely miss his fourth straight game Friday with a right foot sprain. If the 24-year-old forward is ultimately ruled out, his next chance to suit up is Sunday's matchup with Brooklyn.
Mar 1, 2023
Downgraded to out
Washington (foot) has been ruled out for Wednesday's matchup against the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Washington will miss a third consecutive contest due to a right foot sprain. He was spotted Tuesday without a walking boot, so he appears to be making progress and may be back in the mix soon. JT Thor figures to remain in the starting lineup until Washington is cleared to return.
Feb 28, 2023
Unlikely to play against Phoenix
Washington (foot) is doubtful for Wednesday's game versus the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Washington will likely miss his third straight game Wednesday due to a right foot sprain. JT Thor will likely continue to start in his absence. If Washington is officially ruled out, his next chance to suit up will be Friday's matchup with Orlando.
Feb 28, 2023
Sheds walking boot
Washington was spotted at the Hornets' practice session Tuesday and wasn't sporting a walking boot to protect his sprained right foot, Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington's ability to ditch the boot seems like a positive sign, but it's unclear if he was able to do anything more than light shooting Tuesday, as he didn't appear to be wearing his usual practice gear. The Hornets should provide an updated injury report later Tuesday, which will shed more light on Washington's status heading into Wednesday's game against the Suns. The foot issue has sidelined Washington for both of Charlotte's last two games.
Feb 27, 2023
Officially out Monday
Washington (foot) has been ruled out for Monday's game against Detroit.
ANALYSIS
Washington was doubtful ahead of Monday's game, so it's not very surprising to see him unavailable for a second consecutive matchup. JT Thor should see increased playing time once again.
Feb 26, 2023
Unlikely to play Monday
Washington (foot) is doubtful for Monday's game against the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Washington was unavailable for Saturday's game against Miami, and he'll likely be forced to miss a second consecutive matchup Monday. Assuming he's sidelined, JT Thor should continue to see increased run.
Feb 25, 2023
Not playing Saturday
Washington (foot) has been ruled out of Saturday's game against the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Washington was listed as a game-time call to face Miami, but in the end, he's been ruled out due to a right foot strain. JT Thor will start in his place, while Washington's next chance to feature will come Monday against the Pistons.
Feb 25, 2023
Unlikely to play Saturday
Washington (foot) is doubtful for Saturday's matchup against the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Washington finished Friday's win over Minnesota with 20 points, eight rebounds, one steal and one block in 35 minutes, but it was announced after the game that he had suffered a right foot sprain. It appears like he'll miss at least one contest, but his status moving forward is unclear. If he's ultimately ruled out Saturday, his next chance to suit up would arrive Monday versus Detroit.
Feb 25, 2023
Suffers injury in victory
Washington sprained his right foot in Friday's 121-113 win over Minnesota, Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington recorded 20 points, eight rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 35 minutes before suffering his injury Friday. Fantasy managers should wait until an official injury report is released to learn his status ahead of Saturday's game versus Miami.
Feb 16, 2023
Stays hot vs. Spurs
Washington registered 22 points (8-14 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-6 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist, three blocks and one steal across 32 minutes during Wednesday's 120-110 victory over San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
Washington has been nearly unstoppable on the offensive end of late, scoring 22 points in three straight contests and reaching the 20-point threshold in four of his last five. He managed to put the cherry on top of Wednesday's performance by grabbing 10 rebounds, marking his first double-double since Nov. 18. The Kentucky product is averaging 16.0 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.5 blocks through eight February appearances.
Feb 14, 2023
Hits for 20 points again
Washington finished with 22 points (9-13 FG, 4-6 3Pt), seven rebounds and five assists across 36 minutes in Monday's 144-138 win over the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Washington was one of four Hornets to eclipse the 20-point mark on a night in which neither side was particularly interested in playing defense. Though inconsistency has been a hallmark of Washington's career, he's enjoyed a nice run of form of late. He's recorded at least 17 points in four straight games, doing so while shooting 53.4 percent from the field and 69.4 percent from the free-throw line to go along with averages of 5.8 boards, 2.8 assists, 2.5 three-pointers, 1.8 blocks and 1.0 steals.
Feb 11, 2023
Leads team in scoring
Washington closed Saturday's 119-105 loss to the Nuggets with 22 points (8-14 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-8 FT), four rebounds, one assist and two blocks across 33 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Washington scored 13 of his 22 points in the first half to help give Charlotte a lead going into the break. He ultimately ended with a decent scoring line which led the team while also adding a couple blocks, marking his fourth straight game with at least two. After some very poor shooting that began toward the end of January, the 24-year-old has recently found his shot again. Over his past four contests, he's averaging a solid 17.8 points on 49.1 percent from the field.
Feb 9, 2023
Stuffs stat sheet Wednesday
Washington recorded 20 points (7-17 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, three assists, two blocks and three steals in 36 minutes during Wednesday's 118-104 loss to the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Washington hit just three of 10 attempts from three-point range, but he was otherwise solid across the board for Charlotte. The fourth-year forward led the Hornets in scoring and tied for the team lead with three steals and two blocks. Washington has a steady role with at least 30 minutes in 15 of his past 16 games, though he can be frustrating to manage in fantasy due to his inconsistency.
Jan 29, 2023
Sees strong second half in victory
Washington contributed 27 points (11-19 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, five assists and one steal in 36 minutes during Sunday's 122-117 win over the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Washington tallied 17 of his 27 points in the second half while finishing three points shy of reaching the 30-point mark for the first time this season. Washington has scored 25 or more points in seven games this season.
Jan 25, 2023
Piles up defensive stats in loss
Washington finished with nine points (4-12 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four steals, two rebounds, two assists and one block across 33 minutes in Tuesday's 128-97 loss to the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Just when he looked to be establishing some rhythm on the offensive end with 16 consecutive double-digit scoring performances, Washington posted 12 points on 5-for-19 shooting from the field and 0-for-8 shooting from three-point range between the two games of the Hornets' back-to-back set to kick off the week. Washington was able to salvage his night to some extent with his production in the defensive categories, but the poor shooting game was another reminder of the consistency issues that have plagued him during the first four seasons of his career. The 24-year-old remains a much more palatable option for fantasy managers who are punting either the field-goal percentage and free-throw percentage categories and don't have to worry about his occasional bouts of inefficiency.
Jan 24, 2023
Falls flat in loss
Washington registered three points (1-7 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one steal over 27 minutes during Monday's 120-102 loss to the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Washington was ice cold during the loss to Utah and snapped a 16-game double-digit scoring streak. During that stretch, he posted 17.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.0 steals across 33.8 minutes. Monday's performance can likely be chalked up to an off night, which Washington has been susceptible to this season. The fourth-year forward is averaging a career-high 15.1 points per game, but he's scored 20-plus points 13 times and fewer than 10 points eight times.
Jan 22, 2023
Produces in multiple areas Saturday
Washington finished with 23 points (8-14 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds, six assists and one steal in 37 minutes during Saturday's 122-118 win over the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
With LaMelo Ball (ankle/hand) sitting out Saturday, Washington, Terry Rozier (34 points) and Mason Plumlee (25 points) seemed to be the biggest beneficiaries, with all three players attempting at least 14 field goals. Though Ball's potential absence for additional games beyond Saturday could provide a mild short-term boost for Washington's fantasy outlook, expect some inconsistency and inefficiency from the fourth-year big man, who is shooting 44.6 percent from the field for the season.
Jan 19, 2023
Sniffs double-double
Washington had 16 points (7-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 0-5 FT), eight rebounds, two assists, three steals and three blocks across 37 minutes in Wednesday's 112-117 road win over the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Washington ended just two rebounds shy of recording what would've been his second double-double of the season -- and first one since Nov. 18 -- but aside from that, he also delivered value as an all-around threat who contributed on both ends of the court. That versatility is quite valuable, and Washington remains a capable performer in all formats. He's averaging 15.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.1 steals per game in nine January appearances.
Jan 12, 2023
Subdued effort Thursday
Washington totaled 11 points (4-12 FG, 3-7 3Pt), six rebounds, one assist and one block over 35 minutes during Thursday's 124-114 loss to the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Washington wasn't terrible in the loss but was certainly not at his best. After a rough opening to the season, Washington has been able to slowly turn things around, putting up top-45 value in standard formats over the past month. He now sits as the 91st-ranked player in 12-cat leagues, right around where he was being drafted. No one is really coming for his minutes and so he should be locked into a similar role ROS.
Jan 7, 2023
Strong run continues in victory
Washington had 23 points (9-14 FG, 5-10 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists and two steals in 28 minutes during Friday's 138-109 win over Milwaukee.
ANALYSIS
Washington kept things moving in the right direction Friday, helping the Hornets to an improbable victory. After a slow start to the season, Washington is inside the top 40 over the past two weeks, thanks primarily to an increase in his efficiency. While this could be viewed as a bit of a sell-high opportunity, managers may simply want to wait things out to see if he can maintain solid production moving forward.
Jan 1, 2023
Struggles from field Saturday
Washington registered 12 points (5-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 33 minutes during Saturday's 123-106 loss to the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Washington needed 13 shots to score 12 points, and he didn't deliver strong numbers in other fantasy categories to salvage his fantasy day. Washington has failed to reach the 15-point mark in nine of his last 12 contests, and he's averaging 13.3 points while shooting 42.1 percent from the field in that span.
Dec 29, 2022
Posts another 20-point outing
Washington closed Thursday's 121-113 win over Oklahoma City with 25 points (10-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal in 31 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Washington finished second on the team in scoring, finishing as one of two players to score at least 25 points en route to posting his fifth straight game in double figures. Washington has scored 20 or more points in three of his last four contests.
Dec 27, 2022
Improved performance again Monday
Washington contributed 22 points (9-13 FG, 4-5 3Pt), six rebounds, one assist and three blocks over 33 minutes during Monday's 124-113 loss to Portland.
ANALYSIS
Washington put together another encouraging performance Monday, continuing to turn things around after what had been a rough stretch over the previous two weeks. He has now scored at least 20 points in two straight games, although more importantly, has shot at least 60 percent from the floor in both. Prior to his recent stretch, he had failed to shoot better than 40 percent in seven of nine games. If he was dropped in your league, adding him is not the worst idea in the world given he does have a proven ability to put up consistent top-100 production.
Dec 24, 2022
Bounces back in victory
Washington posted 24 points (8-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 5-7 FT), five rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals in 31 minutes during Friday's 134-130 victory over the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
After failing to impress for three straight games, Washington put together one of his better stat lines of the season. Without Anthony Davis (foot) in the lineup, the Lakers showed vulnerabilities inside and Washington took advantage. The imminent return of Miles Bridges may impede continued success for Washongton, but for now he is entrenched in the starting lineup.
Dec 19, 2022
Inefficient in Sunday's return
Washington finished Sunday's 119-115 loss to Denver with 10 points (4-12 FG, 2-6 3Pt), six rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 31 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Washington returned to the lineup after missing the previous game due to personal reasons but was unable to find his rhythm on the offensive end. Poor efficiency is something that has plagued him for the majority of the season, dragging his value outside the top 100. Thankfully, he has been a steady source of peripheral numbers, somewhat salvaging what has been an underwhelming season thus far.
Dec 17, 2022
Should play Sunday
Washington (personal) is not listed in the injury report and should be available to play Sunday against the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Washington missed Friday's game against the Hawks due to personal reasons, but it seems he's ready to resume his duties in the starting lineup when Charlotte takes on Denver on Sunday. He's averaging a career-high 15.0 points per game in 2022-23.
Dec 16, 2022
Ruled out Friday
Washington will miss Friday's game against Atlanta due to personal reasons.
ANALYSIS
Washington's absence comes as a surprise given he was not on the injury report prior to being ruled out. Fantasy managers can turn to Jalen McDaniels and Kai Jones as streaming options as they are likely to pick up his vacated minutes. Although no further information regarding the expected duration of Washington's absence has been released, his next opportunity to play will come Sunday in Denver.
Dec 8, 2022
Not on injury report
Washington (eye) isn't on the injury report for Friday's game against New York.
ANALYSIS
Washington exited Wednesday's game against the Nets due to a right eye injury that he sustained in the fourth quarter, but the issue won't impact his availability two days later. Over his last five appearances, he's averaged 15.0 points, 4.6 assists and 4.4 rebounds in 32.2 minutes per game.
Dec 7, 2022
Doubtful to return Wednesday
Washington is doubtful to return to Wednesday's game against Brooklyn due to a right eye injury.
ANALYSIS
Washington was hit in the right eye during the fourth quarter of Wednesday's matchup and likely won't return. It's unclear at the moment if Washington will be held out for Friday's game against New York. The Kentucky product posted 12 points (5-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-4 FT), seven assists, five rebounds and one steal in 30 minutes before exiting.
Dec 6, 2022
Bounces back Monday
Washington recorded 26 points (11-21 FG, 4-10 3Pt), four rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal in 34 minutes during Monday's 119-117 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
The fourth-year forward stumbled to zero points in 33 minutes on 0-for-13 shooting against the Bucks on Saturday, but Washington shook off that awful performance and scored 20-plus for the fourth time in the last nine games. Over that stretch, he's averaging 18.1 points, 5.0 boards, 3.1 assists, 2.7 threes and 1.0 steals as he takes on a bigger role for a Hornets squad that's seen little of LaMelo Ball (ankle) or Gordon Hayward (shoulder) this season.
Dec 3, 2022
Hits five triples in win
Washington tallied 21 points (6-15 FG, 5-11 3PT, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block across 38 minutes in Friday's 117-116 victory over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Washington's five buckets from beyond the arc were a season-high. He has now scored in double figures in eight straight contests. The big man is averaging 19.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 0.7 steals, 0.6 rebounds and 2.9 triples across 33.5 minutes in his last seven games.
Nov 26, 2022
Back in double figures
Washington amassed 16 points (6-13 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds and one block over 20 minutes during Friday's 110-108 victory over the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Washington had a decent shooting night and swatted away a shot for the second time in three games. He's scored in double figures in each of his last six contests, averaging 19.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 34.3 minutes over that stretch.
Nov 19, 2022
Posts first double-double
Washington recorded 28 points (10-20 FG, 2-10 3Pt, 6-6 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists and four steals across 46 minutes during Friday's 132-122 double-overtime loss to the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Washington couldn't quite lock in from beyond the arc, but he shot well from the field and also racked up a season-high four steals. The Kentucky product has put up 20-plus points in back-to-back contests and has done so in an efficient manner, knocking down 17 of 36 field-goal attempts.
Nov 17, 2022
Hits four threes in loss
Washington chipped in 24 points (7-16 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 6-7 FT), four rebounds and four assists across 36 minutes during Wednesday's 125-113 loss to the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Washington missed his only two field goal attempts in the first quarter before hitting four straight shots to begin the second, two of which came off assists from LaMelo Ball. The Hornets power forward finished the first half with 14 points on 4-of-8 shooting, including 3-of-5 from three-point range while adding four assists and four rebounds. However, Washington would only knock down three more shots for another 10 points in the second half on 3-of-8 shooting as Ball exited the game with an ankle injury and the Pacers stormed ahead down the stretch. It was Washington's fourth time this season breaking the 20-point mark and his second time hitting four threes, but his effort would fall short as the Hornets lost their ninth game out of their last 10.
Nov 7, 2022
Drops 25 in Monday's loss
Washington ended with 25 points (11-18 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds and three steals in 30 minutes during Monday's 108-100 loss to the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
The fourth-year forward hit for at least 25 points for the third time in the last six games, but the Hornets have only one win to show for that productive stretch from Washington. His increased usage has him headed for a career-best season, and through 11 games he's averaging 16.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.0 threes, 1.5 assists and 1.4 blocks.
Nov 6, 2022
Records 18 points, four blocks
Washington chipped in 18 points (5-11 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 5-7 FT), three rebounds, two assists and four blocks across 34 minutes during Saturday's 98-94 loss to the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Ten of Washington's 18 points came in the fourth quarter on 3-of-4 shooting from the field as the Hornets jumped out to a double-digit lead late. After Cam Thomas gave the Nets a two-point lead with just under two minutes to go, Washington came right back down court to knock down a three and put the Hornets back up 92-91. However, that would be the last lead of the game for Charlotte, as Kevin Durant took things over and dealt the Hornets their fourth-consecutive loss. Washington has now scored in double figures in eight of 10 games this season, while his four blocks on the evening were a season-high.
Nov 5, 2022
Ugly shooting night Friday
Washington contributed 10 points (2-15 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 5-6 FT), four rebounds and one block over 27 minutes during Friday's 130-99 loss to Memphis.
ANALYSIS
Washington was terrible in the loss, shooting a woeful 2-of-15 from the floor. After a nice stretch of performances, he has now come crashing back to earth. Given his checkered past, some managers may be quick to pull the trigger on a buy-low trade. He is still adjusting to his new role and so there are likely going to continue to be some ups and downs over the coming weeks. Patience is the key here but if you think his manager could be a little trigger-happy, throw a trade out to see what happens.
Oct 31, 2022
Delivers team-high 28 points Monday
Washington supplied 28 points (12-21 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, three assists and two blocks over 37 minutes during Monday's 115-108 loss to the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Washington led the way once again for the Hornets, continuing to reward those managers who stayed patient through what was a mediocre first week. Coming off a 31-point explosion, his offensive game has come on in leaps and bounds, turning him into a threat from anywhere on the floor. Finally, in a position to succeed, it appears as though Washington could be primed for a breakout campaign.
Oct 30, 2022
Erupts in stunning victory
Washington finished Saturday's 120-113 overtime win over the Warriors with 31 points (13-23 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one steal across 40 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Washington was electric in the win Saturday, pouring in a season-high 31 points. After being viewed as a bit of a breakout candidate this season, Washington has taken a few games to get going. While this was clearly his best game thus far, he has scored in double-digits in five of six games, while chipping in with contributions on both ends of the floor.
Oct 27, 2022
Plays well in OT loss
Washington finished with 17 points (5-14 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one steal across 38 minutes during Wednesday's 134-131 overtime loss to New York.
ANALYSIS
Foul trouble and blowout losses have led to Washington seeing relatively limited minutes, but coach Steve Clifford leaned on the forward during Wednesday's close effort. Washington's rebounding (4.5 per game) isn't quite what fantasy managers were hoping for, and he's struggled a bit from the field (42.6 percent), but his 45.8 percent mark from distance is fantastic. Ultimately, Washington is expected to be a relatively low-usage option, but he's shown two-way upside.
Oct 20, 2022
Tasty performance Wednesday
Washington closed with 17 points (7-12 FG, 3-4 3Pt), seven rebounds, four assists and three blocks in 30 minutes during Wednesday's 129-102 victory over the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Washington was tremendous in the win, bringing comfort to those who were able to secure his services. With the Hornets down on troops, Washington could finally be about to break out after a couple of underwhelming campaigns. As long as he can log upwards of 28 minutes per night, he should be able to flirt with middle-round value thanks to a well-balanced fantasy skillset.
Oct 14, 2022
Practices Friday
Hornets head coach Steve Clifford said Friday that Washington (ankle) participated in Friday's practice session, Rod Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ANALYSIS
With the exception of LaMelo Ball (ankle), it sounds like every other player was able to get in some work during Friday's practice session. It's possible that Washington will draw another questionable tag ahead of next Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Spurs, but his return to practice is certainly encouraging in terms of his availability moving forward.
Oct 12, 2022
Officially out Wednesday
Washington (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's preseason game against the 76ers, Austin Krell of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington was considered doubtful ahead of Wednesday's preseason finale, so his status doesn't come as a major surprise. It's not yet clear whether his ankle injury will impact his availability to begin the regular season, but Jalen McDaniels and JT Thor should handle increased opportunities in the frontcourt Wednesday.
Oct 11, 2022
Doubtful Wednesday
Washington (ankle) holds a doubtful designation for Wednesday's reason finale versus the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Washington hasn't appeared in preseason action yet because of the bothersome ankle, and it seems he probably won't get in a tune-up tilt. Instead, the fourth-year forward will likely turn his sights toward the regular-season opener Oct. 19 versus the Spurs, though it's unclear if he would have any minutes limit if he plays, given his time off.
Oct 10, 2022
Unavailable Monday
Washington (ankle) is out for Monday's preseason game against the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Washington was doubtful for Monday's matchup due to a right ankle sprain, and he'll officially be held out against Washington. His final chance to play during the preseason will be Wednesday against Philadelphia.
Oct 10, 2022
Likely to sit with ankle sprain
Washington is tending to a right ankle sprain and is listed as doubtful for Monday's preseason game against the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Though Charlotte is expected to have Gordon Hayward (knee) available for the first time during the exhibition slate, the Hornets will likely be down three forwards in the penultimate game of the preseason while all of Washington, Cody Martin (knee) and Kelly Oubre (calf) are listed as doubtful. Washington will set his sights on getting back on the court for Wednesday's preseason finale in Philadelphia, and the Hornets haven't yet suggested that his injury is anything more than a day-to-day concern.
Apr 6, 2022
Solid production in blowout loss
Washington closed Tuesday's 144-115 loss to the Heat with 13 points (5-10 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds, four assists and one block in 33 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Washington was efficient from the field and extended his double-digit scoring streak to five games. During that stretch, the third-year forward has averaged 13.2 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 30.6 minutes per game.
Mar 28, 2022
Double-doubles in win Sunday
Washington produced 18 points (8-12 FG, 2-3 3Pt), 11 rebounds and five assists across 31 minutes during Sunday's 119-110 victory over the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Washington found some form at just the right time, putting up his first double-double in well over a month. While he has been able to carve out a consistent role, after a stop-start beginning to the season, Washington's productivity has continued to ebb and flow. With that being said, his defensive contributions are typically enough to buoy his value enough to make him a must-roster player across most formats.
Mar 19, 2022
Season-high scoring effort Saturday
Washington supplied 21 points (8-14 FG, 5-9 3Pt) and three rebounds over 29 minutes during Saturday's 129-108 victory over the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
The 21 points were a season high for Washington, while the five made three-pointers represented his best performance from long range since he went 6-for-10 against the Thunder on Jan. 21. The third-year big's focus on his shooting has come at a cost, however, as he's pulled down five boards or less in five straight games and eight of his last nine.
Mar 17, 2022
Chips in 16 points vs. Hawks
Washington registered 16 points (6-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT), one rebound, three assists, one block and three steals over 26 minutes during Wednesday's 116-106 victory over the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Washington had a solid all-around night Wednesday after only managing 12 total points over the previous two games. He also recorded his 13th multi-steal game of the 2021-22 season. Washington has been a reliable starter for the Hornets since he stepped in for Gordon Hayward (ankle) just before the All-Star break. He's averaging 9.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 26.6 minutes per game this season.
Mar 10, 2022
Scoring leader in lowly loss
Washington logged 17 points (7-12 FG, 3-8 3Pt), four rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 42 minutes during Wednesday's 115-101 loss to the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Washington co-led Charlotte in scoring with 17 points. Unfortunately, it comes in the context of Charlotte shooting 42.9 percent from the field as a team, scoring well below their season-average 114.2 points per game. Nonetheless, Washington bounced back from Tuesday's four-point dud. He is logging a hefty 36.1 minutes per game over four contests in March.
Mar 2, 2022
Fifth straight scoring double digits
Washington closed with 12 points (5-5 FG, 2-2 3Pt), three rebounds and one assist over 28 minutes during Wednesday's 119-98 win over the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
This was Washington's fifth straight contest scoring in double figures, as this is currently the forward's longest streak of the season recording at least 10 points per game. Since his superb double-double of 15 points and 14 rebounds against the Heat on Feb. 17, Washington is averaging 12.6 points and 6.4 rebounds per contest.
Feb 26, 2022
Does it all in win
Washington recorded 13 points (5-11 FG, 3-9 3Pt), five rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals across 27 minutes during Friday's 125-93 win over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Washington finished with at least 10 points, five rebounds and three assists for just the eighth time this season. He also registered multiple blocks and multiple steals in the same game for just the third time during the campaign. As long as Gordon Hayward (ankle) remains out, Washington figures to continue garner a large role for the Hornets.
Feb 18, 2022
Double-double in loss
Washington finished Thursday's 111-107 double-overtime loss to the Heat with 15 points (6-15 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 14 rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 48 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Washington had connected on a trey in 10 consecutive games prior to that streak being snapped Thursday. Washington saw heavy usage and was a factor in the Hornets holding the Heat to 29.2 percent shooting from beyond the arc. The 23-year-old has averaged 10.0 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.0 combined blocks/steals per game over 10 February contests.
Feb 16, 2022
Offers defense in starting role
Washington posted three points (1-5 FG, 1-5 3Pt), eight rebounds, four steals and one block across 33 minutes Tuesday in the Hornets' 126-120 overtime loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Washington saved his night with the production in the two defensive categories, but fantasy managers that streamed him were probably hoping for more production on the offensive end while he moved into the starting five. Kelly Oubre had started each of the past three games in place of the injured Gordon Hayward (ankle), so Washington's move to the top unit Tuesday may have just been designed to better counter the Timberwolves' sizable frontcourt of Karl-Anthony Towns and Jarred Vanderbilt.
Feb 15, 2022
Starting Tuesday
Washington is starting Tuesday's game against the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Charlotte is going big for Tuesday's game, and Kelly Oubre will come off the bench as a result of Washington's start. In Washington's four starts, he's averaged 13.8 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.0 steals.
Feb 13, 2022
Three blocks in 23 minutes
Washington had four points (1-4 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, three blocks and one steal in 23 minutes during Saturday's 125-118 loss to the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Washington didn't do much on the offensive end, but he salved a decent fantasy effort with the three blocks and one steal. The arrival on Montrezl Harrell, who played 29 minutes off the bench Saturday, hasn't seemed to affect Washington's role quite yet. But Washington could see fewer minutes once Gordon Hayward (ankle) returns to action sometime after the break.
Feb 8, 2022
Near double-double off bench
Washington logged 15 points (7-14 FG, 1-6 3Pt), nine rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 32 minutes during Monday's 116-101 loss to the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Jalen McDaniels (ankle) was sidelined again, and Gordon Hayward played just six minutes before leaving with an ankle injury, which opened the door for Washington to receive increased playing time off the bench. He scored in double figures for the fifth time over his last six games and fell on rebound shy of his first double-double since Dec. 5. If McDaniels and Hayward remain out for Wednesday's contest against the Bulls, Washington will be a likely candidate for an increased role once again.
Feb 5, 2022
Scores eight points off bench
Washington finished with eight points (3-4 FG, 2-3 3Pt), nine rebounds, one assist and one steal over 26 minutes during Friday's 102-101 loss to the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
With Gordon Hayward (conditioning) back, Washington returned to his bench role. He failed to score in double figures for the first time over his last four games, but he did grab nine boards, which was highest mark since Dec. 23. As a reserve this season, Washington is averaging 9.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.0 blocks in 22.9 minutes per game.
Feb 4, 2022
Back to bench
Washington will come off the bench Friday against the Cavaliers, Serena Winters of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
ANALYSIS
With Gordon Hayward (conditioning) back, Washington will return to a bench role. As a reserve last month, he averaged 7.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 21.4 minutes.
Feb 3, 2022
Scores 16 in start
Washington produced 16 points (6-11 FG, 4-9 3Pt), seven rebounds, one assist and two steals in 42 minutes during Wednesday's 113-107 loss to the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
With Gordon Hayward (COVID-19 protocols) sidelined, Cody Martin started five games in a row, but Washington took Martin's spot in the starting lineup Wednesday and didn't disappoint. In his first start since Dec. 1, Washington finished third on the team in scoring, second on the team in rebounding and snatched multiple steals for an eighth time this season. Over his last three games, the third-year pro has averaged 12.7 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists, but he could be in store for increased production if he holds onto a starting gig for the duration of Hayward's absence.
Feb 2, 2022
Starting Wednesday
Washington is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Washington is set to make just his fourth start of the season and his first since Dec. 1. As a result, Cody Martin will move to the bench. Washington is averaging 9.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 23.6 minutes per game this season.
Jan 25, 2022
Ejected Tuesday
Washington was ejected from Tuesday's game against the Raptors. He ended with three points (1-1 FG, 1-1 3Pt) in four minutes.
ANALYSIS
Washington and opponent Justin Champagnie got into a dust-up, leading to both players earning ejections. The altercation didn't seem serious enough to warrant a suspension, though fantasy managers rostering Washington should still be on their toes in case discipline is handed down by the league or by the team ahead of Wednesday's game against the Pacers.
Jan 21, 2022
Available Friday
Washington (hip) is available for Friday's game against Oklahoma City.
ANALYSIS
Washington was forced out of Wednesday's matchup against Boston due to a right hip contusion, but he'll be back on the court two days later. He's averaged 5.1 points and 6.0 rebounds in 21.6 minutes per game across his last seven appearances.
Jan 20, 2022
Questionable Friday
Washington (hip) is questionable for Friday's game against Oklahoma City.
ANALYSIS
Washington sustained a right hip contusion during Wednesday's win over Boston and is still dealing with the issue ahead of Friday's matchup. If he's unavailable against the Thunder, Nick Richards and Kai Jones should see increased work.
Jan 19, 2022
Exits with hip contusion
Washington sustained a right hip bruise and won't return to Wednesday's game against the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Washington played 19 minutes and had two points (1-4 FG, 0-3 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks before leaving with the injury. He should be considered questionable for Friday's matchup with the Thunder until his status is updated.
Jan 5, 2022
Near double-double in return
Washington posted 14 points (4-6 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-8 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and one steal across 24 minutes during Wednesday's 140-111 win over the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Washington fell two rebounds shy of a double-double during his return from a four-game absence. He didn't appear to have any limitations during his first game since Dec 23, as his 24 minutes was just one shy of his season average (25.2) heading into the game.
Jan 5, 2022
Available Wednesday
Washington (conditioning) is available for Wednesday's game against the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Washington was listed as questionable for Wednesday's matchup, but he'll be cleared to return to the court for the first time since Dec. 23. He averaged 11.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 25.2 minutes per game in his six appearances prior to his absence, and it's not clear whether he could have a minutes restriction against Detroit.
Jan 4, 2022
Clears COVID-19 protocols
Washington (conditioning) cleared the NBA's health and safety protocols Tuesday and is listed as questionable for Wednesday's contest against the Pistons, Rod Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ANALYSIS
It was reported that Washington had cleared protocols New Years Day, but the following day he apparently re-entered the protocols. While his status has been murky as of late, it appears he is getting close to making his first appearance since Dec. 23. On the season, the third-year pro is averaged 10.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 25.1 minutes.
Jan 3, 2022
Ruled out Monday
Washington (COVID-19 protocols) will remain out for Monday's game against the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
It's been more than a week since Washington entered protocols, but he's yet to test out, so he'll miss at least one more contest. Given the timetable, Washington should have a good chance to return for Wednesday's game against Detroit.
Jan 2, 2022
Unavailable Sunday
Washington (COVID-19 protocols) won't play Sunday against the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Washington cleared the COVID-19 protocols and was considered questionable for Sunday, but he'll end up sitting out due to conditioning concerns. He'll likely be questionable for the second half of the back-to-back set Monday at Washington.
Jan 1, 2022
Questionable Sunday
Washington (COVID-19 protocols) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Suns, Rod Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ANALYSIS
The big man exited protocols but could sit out due to conditioning concerns. Over his past 13 appearances, he's averaged 12.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.2 blocks in 28.7 minutes.
Dec 26, 2021
Placed into NBA protocols
Washington has entered the NBA's health and safety protocols Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Both Washington and Miles Bridges were simultaneously placed into the NBA's health and safety protocols Sunday, ruling them out for Monday's meeting against the Rockets. The 23-year-old Washington has been one of the team's top bench options, averaging 10.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 blocks in 25.1 minutes per game. Jalen McDaniels figures to slide into the starting five with both Washington and Bridges sidelined.
Dec 24, 2021
Excellent game off bench
Washington chipped in 13 points (5-6 FG, 3-4 3Pt), nine rebounds, five assists and two blocks in 27 minutes during Thursday's 115-107 victory over the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Washington has been playing off the bench most of the season and has looked quite productive, putting up double-digit points in five of his last six games despite not reaching the 30-minute plateau in any of those contests. Washington is averaging 11.5 points per game across 10 games this month.
Dec 13, 2021
Cleared to play
Washington (illness) is available for Monday's game against the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Washington has been cleared to run the floor Monday after missing Friday's game due to a non-COVID-19-related illness. He's averaging 12.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists over his last seven contests.
Dec 13, 2021
Upgraded to probable
Washington (illness) has been upgraded to probable for Monday's contest against the Mavericks, Rod Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington was held out of Friday's win over the Kings due to a non-COVID illness, but he will likely return Monday. In eight games before his absence, the third-year big man averaged 11.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.5 blocks across 28.5 minutes per game.
Dec 12, 2021
Questionable Monday
Washington (illness) is questionable for Monday's game against the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Washington was held out in Friday's win over the Kings due to a non-COVID illness, but he has a chance to return Monday. He'd provide a welcome boost to the Hornets' frontcourt since Mason Plumlee (COVID-19 protocols) remains sidelined.
Dec 10, 2021
Unavailable Friday
Washington (illness) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Washington's absence leaves the Hornets very shorthanded in the frontcourt since Mason Plumlee (COVID-19 protocols) and Nick Richards (illness) are also unavailable. Kai Jones and Vernon Carey should see increased playing time Friday.
Dec 10, 2021
Doubtful with non-COVID illness
Washington is doubtful for Friday's contest against the Kings due to a non-COVID illness, Rod Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington has taken on an expanded role lately in the wake of Charlotte's COVID-19 outbreak, and he's averaged 12.7 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.6 steals in 31.7 minutes across the past seven games. However, the Hornets figure to be even more shorthanded Friday, as Washington himself is not expected to play. That means center minutes may exclusively be in the hands of Nick Richards, Kai Jones and Vernon Carey.
Dec 6, 2021
Knocks down four triples
Washington recorded 16 points (6-17 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 0-1 FT), eight rebounds, four assists, three blocks and one steal across 32 minutes during Monday's 127-124 OT loss to Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
Washington struggled to shoot from the field in the loss, but he did knock down four shots from beyond the arc, which is where he's done a good chunk of damage lately. He's drained three or more triples in four of his last six games, averaging 13.8 points over that brief stretch. Washington has also shown up on the defensive end, swatting a shot in each of his last five matchups.
Dec 5, 2021
Coming off bench at Atlanta
Washington is not starting against the Hawks on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The Hornets are starting Nick Richards on Sunday. However, the lineup change should not affect fantasy managers benefiting from Washington's recent statistical output. He averaged 13.5 points and 6.0 rebounds across his last four games. Washington came off the bench during one of those matchups, during which he logged a 15-point stat line at Chicago on Nov. 29.
Dec 1, 2021
Starting Wednesday
Washington will start in Wednesday's game against the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
With Mason Plumlee (calf) still out, Washington will get the start at center for the Hornets on Wednesday, shifting Nick Richards back to a reserve role. Washington is averaging 10.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 22.3 minutes per game this season.
Nov 29, 2021
Returns to bench
Washington will come off the bench Monday against the Bulls, Rod Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington started the past two games with Mason Plumlee (calf) out, but Nick Richards will take his place in the starting five Monday. Washington should still be plenty involved off the bench, though he likely won't replicate the 35 minutes he played Saturday.
Nov 26, 2021
Starting for injured Plumlee
Washington will start Friday against the Timberwolves, Rod Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ANALYSIS
With Mason Plumlee (calf) sitting out for the first time this season, Washington will be getting his first start of the year. In the four games he's seen 20-plus minutes, he's averaged 9.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks.
Nov 24, 2021
Ready to play Wednesday
Washington (elbow) is available for Wednesday's game against the Magic, Rod Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington has been sidelined the past 10 games with the elbow injury, but he'll retake the court Wednesday. The 23-year-old has averaged 9.9 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.0 blocks in 21.1 minutes across his seven appearances this season.
Nov 24, 2021
Upgraded to questionable
Washington (elbow) has been upgraded to questionable ahead of Wednesday's game against the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Washington was initially listed as doubtful for Wednesday's matchup but is trending in the right direction. Even if he's able to suit up against Orlando, he'll likely be on a minutes restriction since he's missed the last 10 games with left elbow soreness.
Nov 23, 2021
Unlikely to play Wednesday
Washington (elbow) is doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Washington will likely miss his 11th consecutive game as he continues to deal with a sore left elbow. Miles Bridges and Mason Plumlee should continue to see extended minutes in the starting lineup if Washington remains unavailable.
Nov 22, 2021
Ruled out Monday
Washington (elbow) will not play Monday against the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Washington will remain sidelined for a 10th consecutive game as he continues to deal with a sore left elbow. He was doubtful coming into the day, so it doesn't appear as though a return is overly imminent. Nonetheless, consider Washington day-to-day ahead of Wednesday's game at Orlando.
Nov 21, 2021
Listed as doubtful
Washington (elbow) is doubtful for Monday's game against the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Washington has missed the last nine games due to a hyperextended left elbow and seems to be in line to miss yet another Monday. Miles Bridges and Mason Plumlee should continue to see extended minutes in the starting unit if Washington remains unavailable.
Nov 20, 2021
Out at Atlanta
Washington (elbow) is out against the Hawks on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Washington will have sat out nine games due to ongoing soreness concerning his left elbow. Jalen McDaniels and Nick Richards each averaged more than 12 minutes of playing time since the injury.
Nov 18, 2021
Still sidelined Friday
Washington (elbow) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Although Washington returned to practice Tuesday, he'll be sidelined for an eight straight contest Friday. His next chance to suit up will be Saturday against Atlanta.
Nov 16, 2021
Returns to practice Tuesday
Washington (elbow) returned to practice Tuesday, but he will still be listed as out for Wednesday's matchup against the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Washington will miss his seventh straight game Wednesday, but his return to action appears to be on the horizon. Before his injury, the 6-foot-7 forward was averaging 9.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists across 21.1 minutes per game.
Nov 8, 2021
Out at least one week
Washington (elbow) will be re-evaluated in one week.
ANALYSIS
Washington suffered the elbow injury Nov. 3 against Golden State. Per the Hornets, he'll continue to take part in individual work at practice until he's re-evaluated. It's safe to assume Washington will miss at least the next four games while on the mend, with a possible return date of Nov. 17 against Washington if all goes well during his next evaluation.
Nov 8, 2021
Remains out Monday
Washington (elbow) is out for Monday's contest against the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Washington will miss his third straight game as he deals with an elbow injury. With the 23-year-old sidelined Monday, Nick Richards will likely see increased minutes for the third straight contest.
Nov 5, 2021
Will miss next two games
Washington (elbow) will miss the Hornets' next two games, Rod Boone of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington has reportedly be diagnosed with a left elbow hyperextension which he suffered during Wednesday's loss to Golden State. The Hornets have stated that Washington will be reevaluated early next week and will be out for the team's contests against the Kings on Friday and the Clippers on Sunday. Thus, expect Jalen McDaniels and possibly Nick Richards to see increased run in both matchups.
Nov 4, 2021
Unlikely to play vs. Kings
Washington (elbow) is doubtful for Friday's tilt against the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Washington hyperextended his elbow during Wednesday's loss to the Warriors. Assuming he's sidelined, more minutes should be available for Jalen McDaniels, Mason Plumlee and Kelly Oubre.
Nov 4, 2021
Will not return Wednesday
Washington (elbow) will not return to Wednesday's contest against the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Washington exited the game in the forth quarter and was later said to have hyperextended his left elbow. He will not return to the game Wednesday and his next chance to retake the court will be Friday against the Kings.
Oct 31, 2021
Scores efficient 17 points
Washington finished Sunday's win over Portland with 17 points (8-8 FG, 1-1 3Pt), three assists, two rebounds and two blocks.
ANALYSIS
Washington got off to a sluggish start to the season, but he's started to look more like himself of late. After going for nine points, five boards, two blocks and two steals against Miami on Friday, Washington followed up with an ultra-efficient 17 points in 21 minutes off the bench. While he continues to see reduced action behind Miles Bridges and Mason Plumlee, Washington still has plenty of upside after averaging 12.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.2 blocks (30.5 MPG) last season.
Oct 29, 2021
Available Friday
Washington (knee) is available for Friday's contest against the Heat.
ANALYSIS
This comes as a surprise considering Washington was previously listed as doubtful. In his three appearances this season, he's averaged 6.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 23.0 minutes.
Oct 29, 2021
Charlotte exercises rookie option
The Hornets exercised the fourth-year option on Washington's (knee) rookie contract Friday.
ANALYSIS
Washington averaged at least 12.0 points and 5.0 rebounds through his first two seasons in the NBA. However, he is off to a rough start this year, as a knee injury has caused him to miss his last two contests. The 23-year-old forward is now locked in with Charlotte through the 2022-23 season.
Oct 28, 2021
Unlikely to play Friday
Washington (knee) is doubtful for Friday's game against the Heat.
ANALYSIS
The big man is expected to miss a third straight game as he recovers from right knee soreness. Assuming he's out, his next chance to play is Sunday against the Trail Blazers.
Oct 26, 2021
Won't play Wednesday
Washington (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's contest against the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Washington will miss his second straight contest due to the knee injury. Jaden McDaniels played a season-high 22 minutes during Washington's absence Monday, and he will likely see a similar workload Wednesday with 23-year-old forward sidelined again.
Oct 25, 2021
Downgraded to out
Washington (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Washington dealt with right knee discomfort ahead of Monday's matchup, and he's considered day-to-day after being ruled out against Boston. Jalen McDaniels and Kai Jones should see increased run Monday.
Oct 25, 2021
Questionable vs. Boston
Washington is listed as questionable for Monday's game against Boston due to discomfort in his right knee.
ANALYSIS
It's been a quiet start to the season for Washington, who looks to have lost his spot in the starting lineup as the Hornets have rolled out Miles Bridges and Mason Plumlee up front in each of the first three games. While Washington is still averaging north of 20 minutes per game off the bench, he's putting up just 6.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 0.7 threes per game thus far. Washington finished Sunday's win over Brooklyn with five points (2-7 FG, 1-5 3Pt), six boards, one assist and two steals in 26 minutes.
Oct 20, 2021
Clutch in win
Washington had five points (1-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, three assists and a block Wednesday night across 19 minutes of action during the Hornets' 123-122 win over the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Washington salvaged a forgettable night by knocking down two free throws to take the lead, then clamping Domantas Sabonis on Indiana's final possession to secure the victory. Unfortunately, this doesn't carry much fantasy merit. Washington will look to rebound in Friday's outing with the Wizards.
Oct 13, 2021
Coming off bench
Washington isn't starting Wednesday's exhibition game against the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Washington will play a depth role in Wednesday's preseason finale with Mason Plumlee returning to action following a two-game absence. However, the 23-year-old could see some starts during the regular season if coach James Borrego alternates between Plumlee and Washington based on matchups.
Oct 4, 2021
Scores 14 points off bench
Washington finished Monday's preseason win over the Thunder with 14 points (5-7 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, a steal and a block.
ANALYSIS
In a somewhat-surprising decision, the Hornets started Miles Bridges and Mason Plumlee up front and brought Washington off the bench. The move did not seem to affect Washington, who drained three three-pointers and contributed a strong all-around effort in 20 minutes of action. The minutes breakdown between Washington, Plumlee and Bridges will be something worth monitoring throughout the preseason. Even if coach James Borrego opts to use Washington in a reserve role, his ability to play both power forward and center would help preserve his fantasy value.
Oct 4, 2021
Not starting Monday's exhibition
Washington isn't starting Monday's preseason game against the Thunder, Sam Perley of the Hornets' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Miles Bridges and Mason Plumlee will start in the frontcourt for Charlotte, while Washington is likely to be the first option off the bench. Regardless of whether or not Washington opens the season as a starter or the sixth man, he'll have a significant role for the Hornets again this season.
Jul 8, 2021
In protocols at USA Camp
Washington entered COVID-19 protocols at Team USA camp after Thursday's practice, Brian Windhorst of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington, along with Miles Bridges and Immanuel Quickley, entered protocol Thursday. The exact reason that they're in protocol is unknown, whether it be due to a positive test or contact tracing.
May 14, 2021
Collects four steals in loss
Washington totaled seven points (3-13 FG, 1-5 3Pt), five rebounds, four steals and one assist in a 113-90 loss to the Clippers on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Washington was very inefficient with his scoring opportunities but collected four steals for the second consecutive game. The forward has been phenomenal on the defensive end, recording multiple defensives stats in eight consecutive games. Over that stretch, Washington has averaged 16.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.1 steals and 1.1 blocks per game.
May 11, 2021
Double-doubles with three blocks
Washington tallied 13 points (4-16 FG, 0-9 3Pt, 5-6 FT), 11 rebounds, five steals, four assists and three blocks in 40 minutes during Tuesday's 117-112 loss to the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
The 22-year-old has been on a roll since missing a game back on May 4 due to personal reasons, averaging 18.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3.0 three-pointers, 2.2 steals and 1.3 blocks over his last four games. Washington has taken a step forward in virtually every category in his sophomore season, and he'll look to keep it going Thursday at home against the Clippers.
May 9, 2021
Double-double in close loss
Washington had 14 points (6-16 FG, 2-6 3Pt) and 12 rebounds in Sunday's loss to the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Washington missed a game last week due to the birth of his child, but since then he's shown well, following up a pair of 20-plus-point efforts with a double-double in 36 minutes Sunday. Washington also added a steal and a block to his line, giving him seven steals over the last four contests.
May 8, 2021
Drops 23 in Friday's win
Washington scored 23 points (8-14 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT) while adding nine rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 38 minutes during Friday's win over the Magic.
ANALYSIS
The second-year big just missed recording his ninth double-double of the season while scoring more than 20 points for the third straight game. Washington has been plenty productive since rejoining the starting lineup in late April, averaging 21.0 points, 6.4 boards, 3.5 threes, 2.1 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.9 blocks over his last eight contests.
May 6, 2021
Scores team-high 24 in return
Washington collected 24 points (9-14 FG, 6-8 3Pt), six rebounds, two assists and two steals in a 120-99 loss to the Bulls on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Washington was the Hornets' leading scorer in his return to the lineup after missing just one contest for personal reasons. The forward has scored 16-plus points in nine of his last 10 games and 20-plus points six times over that span. Washington has averaged a team-high 19.6 points over that stretch and has also added 5.5 rebounds, 1.1 blocks and 1.0 steals per game.
May 5, 2021
Not on injury report Thursday
Washington (personal) is not on the injury report for Thursday's game against the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Washington was held out of Tuesday's game due to a personal matter, but it looks like he's on track to make his return to action Thursday. He'll likely step back into the starting lineup at center, sending Bismack Biyombo to the bench.
May 4, 2021
Out Tuesday for personal reasons
Washington will not play in Tuesday's game against Detroit due to personal reasons, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Not only with the Hornets be without Miles Bridges (COVID-19 protocols) for the next 10-to-14 days, but they also won't have the services of Washington on Tuesday. It's unclear why, exactly, he's away from the team, but his absence should open the door for Bismack Biymobo, and perhaps Cody Zeller and/or Vernon Carey, to see more minutes at the five.
May 3, 2021
Top scorer in loss
Washington tallied 21 points (9-13 FG, 3-6 3Pt), six rebounds and three steals in Sunday's 121-111 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Washington has rejoined the starting lineup in each of the last six games and has played at least 30 minutes in each of those appearances. The 22-year-old led the Hornets with 21 points Sunday and has now averaged 20.2 points and 6.0 rebounds in 35.7 minutes per game across his last six appearances.
Apr 29, 2021
Fills stat sheet in loss
Washington had 19 points (8-16 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block across 39 minutes in Wednesday's loss against the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Washington had a dreadful night from three-point range, but that was the only blemish in what was another strong all-around performance from the second-year big man. The former Kentucky standout has scored at least 18 points in six of his last seven games since returning from a three-game absence earlier this month.
Apr 25, 2021
Double-doubles in win
Washington accumulated 22 points (8-12 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 2-3 FT), 12 rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block in 38 minutes during Sunday's 125-104 win over the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
The 22-year-old has bounced back nicely since posting a two-point dud Thursday, averaging 23.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.5 three-pointers, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks over his past two games. Washington should continue starting and playing 35-40 minutes the rest of the way for the eighth-seeded Hornets. He'll look to make it three efficient games in a row Tuesday at home against the Bucks.
Apr 24, 2021
Drops 25 in win
Washington scored 25 points (9-18 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 2-3 FT) while adding five rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 37 minutes during Friday's win over the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Three different Hornets led the team with 25 points each, with Washington being one of them in his return to the starting five. The second-year big has produced at least 23 points in three of four games since recovering from an ankle sprain, draining at least five threes in all three, and he should be a key part of the Hornets' offense moving forward.
Apr 23, 2021
Starting Friday
Washington will start Friday's game against the Cavaliers, Sam Perley of the Hornets' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach James Borrego is going small-ball, and he's starting Washington at center over Vernon Carey. In 48 starts this season, Washington has averaged 11.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.3 blocks and 1.0 steals in 29.5 minutes.
Apr 20, 2021

ANALYSIS
The 22-year-old has been on a roll since returning from a three-game absence due to a sprained right ankle, averaging 24.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.5 three-pointers, 2.0 blocks and 1.0 steals over his last two games. Washington's scoring had been a roller coaster in his previous eight games before going down with an injury, as he posted zero, five, eight, 13, three, 12, 18 and eight points. The second-year forward will look to build on Tuesday's impressive performance on Thursday on the road against the Bulls.
Apr 19, 2021
Stuffs stat sheet off bench
Washington had 23 points (8-17 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 2-4 FT), eight rebounds, four blocks and a steal across 34 minutes off the bench in Sunday's win over Portland.
ANALYSIS
Washington returned from a three-game absence due to a right ankle sprain but logged starter-like minutes, as he was one of four Charlotte players that logged 30-plus minutes -- and the starting center, Vernon Carey, only played eight minutes. Washington looked healthy and ended just two rebounds shy of a double-double, and he is widely expected to move back to the starting five Tuesday at New York given his involvement in this game.
Apr 18, 2021
Not starting against Portland
Washington isn't starting Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Washington will be back on the court Sunday after he missed the last five games due to a right ankle sprain, but he'll come off the bench for the first time this season. Vernon Carey will serve as the Hornets' starting center once again Sunday.
Apr 18, 2021
Available Sunday
Washington (ankle) is available for Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers, Rick Bonnell of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington had missed the last five games due to a right ankle sprain but will likely rejoin the starting lineup Sunday. He's averaged 10.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 27.4 minutes per game in his last five appearances. It's not clear whether Washington will have any minutes restrictions during his first game back on the court.
Apr 17, 2021
Questionable Sunday
Washington (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Washington has missed the past three games due to a sprained right ankle, but it appears a return is imminent. Once he's back, he should rejoin the starting five. He's started every game he's appeared in this season, and since the start of March, he's averaged 9.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.5 blocks in 29.7 minutes.
Apr 16, 2021
Out Friday
Washington (ankle) won't play Friday against the Nets.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Washington will miss a third straight game due to a sprained right ankle. Cody Zeller and Bismack Biyombo should continue seeing almost all the minutes at center. Jalen McDaniels should continue to see more action as well.
Apr 15, 2021
Doubtful Friday
Washington (ankle) is doubtful for Friday's game against the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Washington has missed the last two games due to a right ankle sprain, and he's unlikely to return to the court Friday. If he's held out once again, Cody Zeller and Bismack Biyombo should see increased run for Charlotte.
Apr 14, 2021
Remains out Wednesday
Washington (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Washington suffered a right ankle sprain in Sunday's loss to Atlanta, and he'll miss a second straight contest as a result. Cody Zeller and Bismack Biyombo should be in line for increased roles Wednesday. Washington's next chance to return will be Friday against the Nets.
Apr 13, 2021
Downgraded to out Tuesday
Washington (ankle) will not play Tuesday against the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Washington had been listed as probable for Tuesday's game, but he apparently suffered a setback and has now been ruled out. He picked up the right ankle sprain he is currently dealing with in Sunday's loss to Atlanta. With Washington sidelined, Cody Zeller and Bismack Biyombo should be in line for increased workloads Tuesday.
Apr 12, 2021
Expected to play Tuesday
Washington (ankle) is considered probable for Tuesday's game against the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
A sprained ankle forced Washington out of Sunday's loss to Atlanta after 24 minutes, but it doesn't look to be anything that will cause him to miss time. Prior to Sunday, Washington averaged 11.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.0 steal over his last four games.
Apr 11, 2021
Doubtful to return Sunday
Washington is doubtful to return to Sunday's game against the Hawks after he sprained his right ankle.
ANALYSIS
Washington had to leave the game in the third quarter due to the sprain, and he doesn't look likely to return. It would be a tough blow for Charlotte if Washington is forced to miss time, with LaMelo Ball (wrist), Gordon Hayward (foot) and Malik Monk (ankle) already sidelined.
Apr 10, 2021
Drops 18 against Bucks
Washington scored 18 points (6-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT) while adding seven rebounds, four assists and a block in 31 minutes during Friday's win over the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Every member of Charlotte's starting five scored at least 18 points, but it's the first time Washington has reached that mark since March 18. The second-year big has lined up at center the last two games with Bismack Biyombo bumped from the rotation, averaging 15.0 points, 7.0 boards, 3.0 assists, 2.5 threes, 2.0 blocks and 1.0 steals, and with the Hornets having won both games, it's a move that might stick for a while.
Apr 8, 2021
Poor shooting continues
Washington totaled 12 points (3-13 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, three blocks, two assists and two steals over 31 minutes in Wednesday's win over the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Since March 26, Washington has shot 27.7 percent from the floor. Over that span, he has just two games where he has scored in double figures. Looking at the positives, Washington has recorded a block in six contests and a steal in five over those seven games. Still, his poor shooting and inconsistent scoring during the second half of the season could be a potential liability with a month and a half left to go in the season.
Apr 1, 2021
Shooting woes continue
Washington posted eight points (3-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds, one assist, one steal and two blocks across 26 minutes during Thursday's 111-89 loss to Brooklyn on Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Washington shot 40 percent or worse from the field for the sixth time across the last seven games as the team got blown out by the Nets. The 22-year-old is still contributing in other areas, but the recent shooting struggles remain a concern after he had been shooting 44.0 percent from the floor this year. Washington has scored in single digits in four games in a row, which is his second-longest such streak of the season.
Mar 31, 2021
Struggling with shot
Washington posted five points (2-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and five rebounds in 23 minutes during Tuesday's 114-104 win over the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
Washington's playing time and performances remain inconsistent. His shooting has been especially poor over the past six games, where he's converted only 31.5 percent of his shots from the field, 18.2 percent of his threes and 42.9 percent of his free throws.
Mar 28, 2021
Produces everywhere but points
Washington was held scoreless (0-7 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 0-2 FT) in Sunday's loss to Phoenix, but contributed 12 rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks in 44 minutes.
ANALYSIS
The 22-year-old was held off the scoreboard for the first time in his young career on Sunday. Despite the poor shooting effort, Washington managed to find other ways of impacting the game, pulling down 12 rebounds on top of collecting two steals and two blocks. The second-year forward now has at least one block in seven-straight games. Before Sunday's game, Washington was averaging 12.2 points a game this season, and he'll look to get back in the scoring column Tuesday on the road against the Wizards.
Mar 28, 2021
Available Sunday, as expected
Washington (lower leg) is available for Sunday's game against the Suns.
ANALYSIS
The 22-year-old was considered probable for Sunday's contest with a bruised right lower leg, so it's now surprise he's good to go versus Phoenix. Washington has averaged 10.8 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 2.2 rebounds while shooting 40.7 percent from the field over the past five games.
Mar 27, 2021
Likely to play Sunday
Washington is probable for Sunday's matchup against Phoenix due to a right lower leg contusion.
ANALYSIS
Washington likely picked up the injury sometime during the Hornets' win over the Heat on Friday, as the forward logged 26 minutes of action and posted eight points, five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal. Barring any major setbacks however, Washington should make his 17th straight start.
Mar 24, 2021
Second straight double-double
Washington totaled 12 points (5-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 12 rebounds, four assists and one block during Wednesday's win over Houston.
ANALYSIS
This was Washington's second straight double-double and seventh one this season, as the forward managed a solid overall shooting night after struggling during the past two while grabbing at least 12 rebounds again. Although his minutes are nearly the same has last season, Washington is averaging career highs in almost every major statistical category this year including points, rebounds, assists and blocks.
Mar 23, 2021
Across the board numbers in win
Washington finished with 10 points (4-14 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 13 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and one steal in 42 minutes during Monday's 100-97 victory over the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Washington continues to log heavy minutes for the Hornets and came through with a double-double in the win. He certainly looked healthy after appearing to injure his ankle in their previous game and with Cody Zeller (shoulder) battling an injury of his own, Washington is a must-roster player across just about every format.
Mar 19, 2021
Great two-way effort
Washington had 18 points (7-12 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds, four blocks, one assist and one steal in Thursday's 116-105 loss to the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Washington may be averaging 29.5 minutes but played and benefited from 39 against the Lakers. Washington's stat line Thursday was only his second this season in which he reached a 15-point, three-block mark. Washington is not an elite option on both ends but does have moments of brilliance that make him more valuable the deeper leagues are.
Mar 11, 2021
Comes close to double-double
Washington tallied 20 points (6-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 6-6 FT), nine rebounds, two blocks and one steal in 32 minutes during Thursday's win against the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
The 22-year-old picked up right where he left off, contributing elite numbers across the board. In the seven games leading up to the All-Star Break, the sophomore forward was averaging 16.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.3 three-pointers and 1.7 steals in 31.3 minutes in the span. Washington is locked in as the starter and should continue to hover around 30 minutes a night moving forward.
Mar 10, 2021
Not on injury report
Washington (ankle) is not on the injury report ahead of Thursday's game against the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Washington departed the Hornets' final game before the break with a sprained right ankle, but it looks like it was nothing serious. The Kentucky product closed the first half with six double-digit scoring performances in his final seven games, headlined by a 42-point eruption in a win over the Kings on Feb. 28.
Mar 3, 2021
Leaves with ankle sprain
Washington won't return to Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves after suffering a right ankle sprain.
ANALYSIS
The 22-year-old sustained the injury during the fourth quarter and may not have played much down the stretch regardless with the Hornets leading comfortably. Washington had 16 points (6-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt), 2-3 FT), nine rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block in 32 minutes before the injury. He'll now have a week to rest up during the All-Star break before the March 11 matchup with the Pistons.
Mar 2, 2021
Follows up big night with dud
Washington had just three points (1-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, two assists and a block in Monday's loss to Portland.
ANALYSIS
One night after having easily the best game of his career in a win over the Kings -- 42 points, nine rebounds, two assists, two blocks, two steals, five three-pointers -- Washington followed up with a complete dud, hitting just one field goal and only pulling down three boards in 30 minutes. He'll be tough to trust in DFS contests, but if Gordon Hayward (hand) and/or Cody Zeller (hip) miss another game Wednesday at Minnesota, Washington could again be set for an elevated role.
Mar 1, 2021
Puts up career-high 42 points
Washington tallied 42 points (15-23 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 7-7 FT), nine rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocked shots in Sunday's 127-126 win over the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Washington's previous career high for points in a game was 27 against Chicago in October of 2019, and he had notched only two games of 20-plus points this season entering Sunday. The second-year forward dominated Sacramento in the narrow victory, making all seven of his free-throw attempts and 15-of-23 shots from the field, including 5-of-8 from deep. He also pulled down nine boards and made an impact on defense with a pair of steals and blocks. Washington doesn't figure to be this good most nights -- he entered the game shooting only 43.7 percent from the field -- but his ability to supplement adequate offense with strong numbers on the boards and on defense make him a decent option in fantasy leagues.
Feb 27, 2021
Collects double-double in loss
Washington finished with 15 points (3-7 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 7-8 FT), 10 rebounds, four assists and four steals in Friday's loss to Golden State.
ANALYSIS
Washington picked up his first double-double since Jan. 16 in defeat, and he also racked up four steals for the second time in his past three games. His performances have been up-and-down of late, however, and his overall offensive numbers this season -- Washington is averaging 11.6 points on 43.7 percent shooting from the field -- are slightly down compared to his rookie campaign.
Feb 22, 2021
Impactful at both ends of court
Washington registered 17 points (5-9 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, four assists and four steals across 31 minutes in Monday's loss against the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Washington was one of three starters that recorded at least 15 points in this game, but he also made an impact on defense with a season-high four steals. The second-year forward has scored at least 15 points in his last two games following a two-game absence earlier this month due to his COVID-19 diagnosis.
Feb 21, 2021
Effective performance Saturday
Washington had 15 points (6-8 FG, 3-5 3Pt), five rebounds, two assists and a block across 32 minutes in Saturday's win over the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Washington ended as Charlotte's second-best scorer in his return to the lineup, but he also played a pivotal role down the stretch -- his screen allowed Terry Rozier to create enough separation to drill the game-winning shot. The second-year forward had missed four games this game but this was a strong bounce-back performance, as he was on a run of five straight contests scoring six or fewer points.
Feb 20, 2021
Starting Saturday
Washington (COVID-19 protocols) is starting Saturday's matchup against the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Washington will return to the starting five following a two-game absence due to health and safety protocols. He has struggled across his past nine appearances, as he's averaged 7.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.1 blocks and 1.0 steals in 28.2 minutes.
Feb 19, 2021
Off injury report
Washington (COVID-19 protocols) is off the injury report for Saturday's game against the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Washington missed the Hornets' most recent two games due to health and safety protocols, but it looks like he'll be back in action Saturday. He's struggled across his past five appearances, with the forward averaging just 4.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.4 blocks in 26.4 minutes.
Feb 14, 2021
Officially out Sunday
Washington (COVID-19 protocols) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Washington was listed as doubtful leading up to Sunday's matchup, so it's not very surprising to see him miss a second straight game due to the league's health and safety protocols. Miles Bridges will start against San Antonio, while Devonte' Graham will also enter the starting five once again.
Feb 13, 2021
Doubtful Sunday
Washington (COVID-19 protocols) is doubtful for Sunday's action against the Spurs, Rick Bonnell of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington missed Friday's game due to protocols, and he'll likely sit out again Sunday. In his absence, coach James Borrego went with a three-guard lineup featuring LaMelo Ball, Terry Rozier, Devonte' Graham, Gordon Hayward and Cody Zeller.
Feb 12, 2021
Out due to protocols
Washington is out for Friday's game against the Timberwolves due to health and safety protocols.
ANALYSIS
Washington, along with the Martin twins, won't play Friday. In Washington's stead, Miles Bridges is a strong candidate to see more action.
Feb 7, 2021
Good to go Sunday
Washington (foot) is available Sunday against the Wizards.
ANALYSIS
The 22-year-old sat out the last two games with a sprained right foot, but he'll return to the court Sunday versus Washington. Washington was averaging 10.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.2 blocks in 28.7 minutes in the six games prior to the injury.
Feb 6, 2021
Questionable Sunday
Washington (foot) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Washington has missed the past two games due to a sprained right foot, but he may be able to return Sunday. If he does, there's a good chance he'll return to the starting five, which could push Miles Bridges back to the bench.
Feb 4, 2021
Out Friday
Washington (foot) is out Friday against the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Washington will miss a second consecutive game due to a sprained right foot. Miles Bridges should get the start again.
Feb 4, 2021
Doubtful for Friday
Washington (foot) is doubtful for Friday's game against the Jazz, Sam Perley of Hornets.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington is expected to miss a second straight game Friday. Assuming that's the case, Miles Bridges should draw another start at power forward.
Feb 2, 2021
Out Wednesday
Washington (foot) will not play in Wednesday's game against the 76ers, Rod Boone of The Hive Vibes reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington is set to miss his first game of the season after he had to exit Monday's contest against the Heat due to a right foot sprain. Miles Bridges will likely take on a starting role while Washington remains sidelined.
Feb 1, 2021
Exits with foot injury
Washington won't return to Monday's game against the Heat after suffering a right foot sprain.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear as to how much time Washington will miss following the injury, but the team should reveal more details on his return in the coming days. Miles Bridges should be in line to see more playing time in Washington's absence.
Jan 29, 2021
Just misses on double-double
Washington added 19 points (7-8 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), nine rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block in 35 minutes during Friday's 108-105 win over the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
After scoring fewer than 10 points in both games against the Magic, Washington has scored 18 and 19 points respectively against the Pacers. His 19 points were just three shy of his season high while both his overall field goal percentage (87.5) and three-point shooting percentage (75.0) were the best he's shot this campaign.
Jan 27, 2021
Strong effort against Pacers
Washington scored 18 points (6-14 FG, 1-6 3PT, 5-5 FT) to go along with eight rebounds and four assists across 32 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
The Hornets clarified their rotation of big men Wednesday, with Bismack Biyombo left as the odd-man out. That provided more minutes to Washington, who took advantage by reaching double-digit points for the first time in three games. Assuming his minutes remain stable, Washington has the chance to contribute in points, boards, as well as blocks and steals moving forward this season.
Jan 22, 2021
Struggles from deep
Washington scored 16 points (7-14 FG, 0-6 3PT, 2-2 FT) to go along with four rebounds, two assists and one block in Friday's loss to the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Washington scored in double-digits for the sixth consecutive game despite his inability to hit a shot from three-point range. Instead, he converted all but one of his shots from the paint. After starting the season by blocking only four shots in seven games, Washington has at least one block in seven of his last eight contests to supplement his scoring and rebounding ability.
Jan 13, 2021
Double-double in loss
Washington went for 16 points (6-17 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, six assists and one steal across 32 minutes in Wednesday's 104-93 loss to the Mavs.
ANALYSIS
Washington recorded his second double-double of the season while also recording a season-high in assists. Since posting back-to-back nine-point games, he has gone for 22, 13, and 16 points
Jan 9, 2021
Scores season-best 22 points
Washington registered 22 points (7-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 6-6 FT), seven rebounds, six blocks and an assist across 36 minutes in Saturday's win over the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Washington delivered one of his best performances of the season Saturday, reaching a season-high mark in points and posting a career-high in blocks. He was coming off back-to-back nine-point efforts, and it's safe to say he seems to have left those scoring woes in the rearview. This was also Washington's first 20-point game of the season after reaching this tally in seven different contests during the 2019-20 campaign.
Jan 4, 2021
Not on injury report
Washington (thumb) is not listed on the Hornets' injury report ahead of Monday's game against the Sixers.
ANALYSIS
A bruised thumb limited Washington during the second half of Saturday's loss to Philly, but it appears as though he'll play through the issue Monday night. Washington has started all six games to begin the season, and he's coming off of a nine-point, five-rebound, two-assist, two-steal performance in 22 minutes Saturday.
Jan 3, 2021
Limited by thumb bruise
Washington played only eight minutes during the second half Saturday against the Sixers due to a thumb contusion, Rick Bonnell of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ANALYSIS
The 22-year-old finished the contest with nine points (2-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, two assists and two steals in 22 minutes, and the severity of the injury remains unclear. Washington should be considered questionable for Monday's rematch with Philadelphia until his status is updated.
Dec 29, 2020
Practices Tuesday
Washington (ankle) was able to practice Tuesday, Rick Bonnell of The Charlotte Observer reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington is apparently dealing with an ankle sprain despite not missing any time so far this season. Through three games for the Hornets, Washington has posted averages of 12.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 2.0 triples, 1.3 steals and 1.3 blocks per game. Considering he was able to practice, it seems likely that he will be available to play Wednesday against the Mavericks.
Dec 27, 2020
Puts up double-double Sunday
Washington recorded 14 points (6-16 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-6 FT), 12 rebounds, five assists and two steals across 35 minutes in Sunday's win over the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Washington delivered a disappointing performance in the season opener but has bounced back quickly, surpassing the 13-point mark and grabbing at least eight boards in the subsequent two games. Washington might bounce between power forward and centre depending on coach Borrego's lineup tendencies, but he has proven to be a reliable fantasy asset across most formats due to his two-way impact.
Dec 27, 2020
Swats three shots
Washington scored 18 points (7-15 FG, 1-3 3PT, 3-6 FT) to go along with eight rebounds, one assist, one steal and three blocks across 29 minutes in Saturday's loss to the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
While Bismack Biyombo was the most obvious beneficiary of Cody Zeller's (hand) absence, Washington played well with an increased role. His minutes jumped by eight from the opener, and he took advantage by racking up defensive stats and boards. Washington will look to build on this effort Sunday against the Nets.
Dec 20, 2020
Struggles with shot Saturday
Washington scored nine points (4-17 FG, 0-3 3PT, 1-2 FT) to go with two rebounds, an assist, and a block in 25 minutes of Saturday's 120-117 preseason loss to Orlando.
ANALYSIS
Washington struggled with his shot posting a poor 24 percent from the floor while missing all three attempts from three point land. Coming off an All-Rookie Second team selection, the big man is expected to spend a lot more time at center this year and is a viable late round pick in fantasy.
Dec 1, 2020
To spend time at center
Hornets coach James Borrego said Tuesday that he plans to use Washington at center "a lot" this season, Hornets reporter Rod Boone reports.
ANALYSIS
As a rookie, Washington spent most of his time at the four, but he offers versatility and floor-spacing (37.4% 3PT) that the Hornets' other centers do not. For now, Washington is penciled in at the 4, with Cody Zeller at the 5, but Borrego indicated that Charlotte will do plenty of experimenting with smaller lineups. He also noted that Miles Bridges will likely shift up to power forward when Washington is at center.
Mar 12, 2020
Scores 17 points in win
Washington went for 17 points (7-17 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 0-2 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 36 minutes during Wednesday's 109-98 win at Miami.
ANALYSIS
Washington bounced back nicely from a two-point effort against the Hawks, and he has scored in double digits in seven of his last eight games now. The rookie out of Kentucky has been playing at a high level ever since the league resumed after the All-Star break -- he is averaging 14.6 points per game in his last 11 contests.
Mar 5, 2020
Scores 20 against Nuggets
Washington accumulated 20 points (6-15 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds, three assists and one steal in 32 minutes during Thursday's 114-112 loss to the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Washington scored 20 for the first time since Jan. 13, and he has now poured in 20-plus points six times through 55 games. He has been one of the team's best and most consistent players this season, as Washington has showcased an extremely versatile two-way skillset.
Mar 3, 2020
Scores 19, sinks five treys
Washington pitched in 19 points (6-13 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 2-4 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one block in 35 minutes during Tuesday's 104-103 loss to the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Washington has reached double figures in scoring in six of seven tilts since the All-Star break, with the lone exception being a nine-point effort in 25 minutes against the Pacers on Feb. 25. The 21-year-old rookie has earned 30-plus minutes in each of those other six matchups after the break, and Washington is likely to continue playing plenty of minutes down the stretch this season.
Feb 21, 2020
Scores 17 to go with full line
Washington went for 17 points (6-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-5 FT), five rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block in 30 minutes during Thursday's 103-93 win over the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Washington provided a bit of everything in this one while snapping a four-game streak of single-digit scoring. In fact, he equaled his scoring total from the last three games combined. Those who picked up Washington earlier in the year will have to hope that this is a sign that he's refreshed and revitalized following the All-Star break, and the 21-year-old rookie will try to build on this performance heading into Saturday's matchup versus the Nets.
Feb 8, 2020
Starting Saturday
Washington will return to the starting five Saturday against the Mavericks, Bobby Karalla of the Mavericks' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington came off the bench in his last game after missing the previous two with an ankle injury. In home games this season, he's averaging 11.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.1 blocks in 29.6 minutes.
Feb 4, 2020
Logs 24 minutes versus Rockets
Washington had eight points (4-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt), six rebounds and three assists in 24 minutes during Tuesday's 125-110 loss to the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Washington returned to the rotation following a two-game absence with an ankle injury. He posted a modest stat line off the bench, with Cody Martin sliding into the starting five and logging 36 minutes. Still, Washington will likely reclaim the starting role eventually, and he'll have a few days to rest and recover in advance of Saturday's matchup versus the Mavericks.
Feb 4, 2020
Not starting Tuesday
Washington (ankle) isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
According to Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle, Washington will be available but will come off the bench for the first time this season.. Cody Martin receives the spot start in his place.
Feb 4, 2020
Appears set to play
Washington (ankle) will go through warmups for Tuesday's game against the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Washington was unable to play Monday and was considered questionable to play Tuesday, but he now appears likely to suit up in Houston. The Hornets didn't officially announce the 21-year-old will be available, but it seems likely if he can avoid a pregame setback.

Gets questionable tag for Tuesday
The Hornets list Washington (ankle) as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
After missing Saturday's 114-90 loss to the Spurs with a right ankle sprain, Washington was initially labeled as doubtful, then upgraded to questionable before being ruled out ahead of Monday's 112-100 loss to the Magic. He'll presumably have a better shot at gaining clearance for the second half of the back-to-back set, but it wouldn't be surprising if the Hornets erred on the side of caution with the rookie. After Tuesday's game, the Hornets will have three days off before they play again Saturday versus the Mavericks, so that contest may represent a more realistic target for Washington's return.

Unable to go Monday
Washington (ankle) will not play Monday against the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Washington was listed as doubtful as of Sunday night, but the Hornets shifted him up to questionable on Monday morning. In the end, Washington will be held out of action for a second straight game as he battles a sprained right ankle. Veteran Marvin Williams started in Washington's place on Saturday against the Spurs.

Upgraded to questionable
Washington (ankle) was able to participate in shootaround ahead of Monday's game against Orlando and has been upgraded to questionable.
ANALYSIS
While there's still a solid chance that Washington will be held out, he's clearly making progress in his recovery from a right ankle sprain. An official update later in the day should provide clarity on Washington's final status. In the event he sits, Marvin Williams figures to make a second straight start.

Unlikely to play Monday
Washington (ankle) is doubtful for Monday's contest versus Orlando.
ANALYSIS
It appears as though the rookie will miss a second consecutive matchup, as Washington continues to recover from a right ankle sprain. Marvin Williams earned the start in place of Washington on Saturday and will presumably once again fill that role. Washington's next opportunity to return to the court will be Tuesday in Houston, which is Charlotte's second contest of the upcoming back-to-back.

Downgraded to out
Washington (ankle) has been downgraded to out for Saturday's game against the Spurs.

Washington (ankle) has been upgraded to probable for Saturday's game against the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Washington picked up an ankle sprain Thursday against the Wizards, but it doesn't appear that he'll wind up missing any time. He's averaged 12.3 points on 28.7 minutes over his last six games, though it's possible his role is reduced if he plays at less than 100 percent.

Questionable with ankle sprain
Washington has a right ankle sprain and is questionable for Saturday's game against the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
The 21-year-old apparently picked up the ankle sprain during Thursday's loss to the Wizards, as he had 15 points, one rebound, one assist and one steal in 23 minutes. Marvin Williams likely will have an increased role Saturday should Washington be unable to play in San Antonio.

Marred by foul trouble
Washington logged three points (1-5 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), and three assists in 20 minutes Friday, during Charlotte's 116-103 loss to the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Washington picked up his fourth foul immediately after halftime and didn't attempt a shot until the fourth quarter. Washington had made 19-of-34 shots en route to 53 points over his prior three contests. The promising rookie will look to reestablish himself when the Knicks come to Charlotte on Tuesday.

Makes four threes
Washington had 19 points (7-12 FG, 4-8 3PT, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds and one assist in 35 minutes during Monday's 106-86 loss against the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Washington has scored 14 or more points -- while making multiple threes -- in each of his last three starts, but he is also adding 7.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and a combined 2.0 steals/blocks per game during that three-game stretch. He has been solid across the board in his rookie year, averaging 12.6 points, 5.5 rebounds and a combined 1.8 steals/blocks while shooting 48.3 percent from the field and 42.1 percent from three-point range.

Double-doubles with defensive stats
Washington posted 20 points (6-15 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 5-5 FT), 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks in 33 minutes Monday in the Hornets' 115-112 loss to the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
After a pair of lackluster outings in Utah and Phoenix over the weekend, Washington bounced back swiftly in the third contest of Charlotte's four-game Western Conference swing. The 20 points marked his best output since Dec. 8, while the four combined steals and blocks were a nice sight after his production in the defensive categories had been a little lean in recent games. Washington's ability to contribute in multiple areas across the stat sheet helps to offset his volatile scoring, making him worth holding in 12-team and perhaps even 10-team fantasy leagues.

Grabs double-double against Raps
Washington scored 12 points (4-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-5 FT) while adding 12 rebounds, six assists and two blocks in 40 minutes during Wednesday's 112-110 overtime loss to the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
The double-double was Washington's third of the year, and his first since he returned to the court from a broken finger in late December. The rookie is averaging 13.7 points, 6.7 boards, 2.9 assists, 1.3 threes and 1.0 blocks in seven games since rejoining the lineup.
