Keep up with the latest injuries from the Spurs vs L.A. Lakers game on tomorrow with our National Basketball Association injury report.Dec 8, 2025
Remains locked in from deep
Hachimura notched 17 points (7-12 FG, 3-7 3Pt), six rebounds and one assist across 36 minutes during Sunday's 112-108 victory over the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura wasn't overly impressive in the scoring column Sunday, but he drilled three triples for a second straight matchup and is now 8-for-17 from downtown over his last three appearances. The Gonzaga product has been decent for the Lakers of late outside of a zero-point showing Dec. 1 against Phoenix, averaging 11.7 points and 3.8 rebounds in his last six games.
Dec 5, 2025
Nails game-winning shot
Hachimura racked up 12 points (4-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and one steal across 35 minutes during Thursday's 123-120 win over the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura drilled a corner three off a pass from LeBron James to win the game at the buzzer. The former Washington Wizard has started all but one game this season for the Lakers, averaging a career high 13.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, 0.9 assists, and 1.9 three-pointers in 33.2 minutes.
Dec 1, 2025
Posts 14 points in victory
Hachimura notched 14 points (6-14 FG, 2-8 3Pt) and two rebounds across 34 minutes during Sunday's 133-121 victory over the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Gabe Vincent slipped into the Lineup but was ineffective as LeBron James' (foot) replacement. Hachimura's production has been helpful during James' absences, and although he's averaging an eight-point drop in production over last season, his rebounding average (8.3 per game) is at a five-year high. His acumen off the glass is a great aid for those needing rebounds n category leagues.
Nov 26, 2025
Puts up 13 in win
Hachimura ended Tuesday's 135-118 win over the Clippers with 13 points (6-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt) and three rebounds over 31 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has cooled off offensively as of recent, failing to eclipse the 15-point mark since Nov. 10, but he has shot the ball well all season, averaging 14.9 points and 1.8 threes on a blistering 56.8 percent from the field and 48.3 percent from three. The Lakers have shown they will call on him to produce when their top offensive playmakers are unavailable, but even with everyone healthy Hachimura still has standalone fantasy value, and should be rostered in most formats.
Nov 17, 2025
Not listed on injury report
Hachimura (calf) isn't listed on the team's injury report ahead of Tuesday's game against the Jazz, Thuc Nhi Nguyen of the Los Angeles Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was held out of Saturday's matchup while nursing a calf injury, but he'll be back in action Tuesday evening. He's played well through the first half of November, averaging 16.3 points and 3.7 rebounds while hitting 56.4 percent of his field-goal attempts in seven appearances.
Nov 17, 2025
Expected to play vs. Jazz
Hachimura (calf) is likely to be available for Tuesday's game against the Jazz, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura missed Saturday's game against the Bucks with a calf injury, but he's expected to return Tuesday. His presence should eat into the minutes of Jake LaRavia and Dalton Knecht. Hachimura has averaged 15.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 34.6 minutes per contest over 13 games this season.
Nov 15, 2025
Won't play Saturday
Hachimura (calf) is out for Saturday's game against the Bucks, Khobi Price of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
With Saturday being the second part of the Lakers' back-to-back, Hachimura is getting a chance to catch a breather. Tuesday's tilt against the Jazz represents his next opportunity to suit up. Hachimura's absence frees up plenty of minutes, which should be picked up by the likes of Jake LaRavia, Jarred Vanderbilt and Dalton Knecht.
Nov 10, 2025
Scores 21 points in Monday's win
Hachimura contributed 21 points (9-12 FG, 3-3 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist and one steal over 36 minutes during the Lakers' 121-111 win over the Hornets on Monday.
ANALYSIS
It was another efficient outing for Hachimura, who connected on all three of his three-point attempts while finishing third on the Lakers in scoring behind Luka Doncic (38) and Austin Reaves (24). It was Hachimura's third game this season in which he's scored 20-plus points, and the seventh-year pro is averaging a career-high 16.3 points per game while connecting on 58.6 percent of his field-goal attempts to open the regular season.
Nov 4, 2025
Drops 28 in win
Hachimura provided 28 points (10-15 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 6-6 FT), four rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 38 minutes during Monday's 123-115 victory over the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura delivered a huge performance Monday with Luka Doncic (rest) and Austin Reaves (groin) sidelined, posting a season-high 28 points on efficient shooting, finishing just one point shy of DeAndre Ayton's team lead. Hachimura has been excellent to start the campaign, averaging 16.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists while shooting 59.3 percent from the field and 45.5 percent from three through eight games. Averaging 35.9 minutes per contest, the power forward should continue logging heavy minutes while the Lakers deal with a slew of injuries.
Nov 3, 2025
Chips in 15 points Sunday
Hachimura finished Sunday's 130-120 victory over the Heat with 15 points (6-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt), six rebounds and two assists across 31 minutes.
ANALYSIS
The 27-year-old forward continues to be a solid secondary option for the Lakers. Hachimura has scored in double digits in five of seven games to begin the season, falling just short with nine points in the other two, while averaging 15.3 points, 4.1 boards, 1.9 assists and 1,9 threes and shooting 57.7 percent from the floor and 44.8 percent (13-for-29) from beyond the arc.
Oct 27, 2025
Pops for 18 in win
Hachimura notched 18 points (7-10 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds, two assists and two steals in 40 minutes during Sunday's 127-120 win over the Kings.
ANALYSIS
After a fairly quiet season opener, Hachimura has seen increased usage the last two contests for a Lakers squad now missing both LeBron James (back) and Luka Doncic (finger), attempting double-digit FGs in back-to-back games and going a dazzling 17-for-23 (73.9 percent). Hachimura is averaging 16.7 points, 3.0 boards, 1.7 assists and 1.7 threes, and he could continue to surge in the short term until Doncic is cleared to return.
Oct 25, 2025
Bounces back in blowout win
Hachimura finished Friday's 128-110 win over the Timberwolves with 23 points (10-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and two rebounds during the Lakers' 128-110 win over the Timberwolves on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura had a quiet Opening Night against the Warriors on Tuesday, but the seventh-year pro had a nice bounce-back performance Friday to finish third on the Lakers in scoring behind Luka Doncic (49) and Austin Reaves (25). Hachimura didn't fill up the box score, but he'll remain in the Lakers' starting lineup and have an elevated workload for as long as LeBron James (sciatica) is sidelined.
Oct 22, 2025
Quiet in 35 minutes
Hachimura finished with nine points (3-6 FG, 3-6 3Pt), four rebounds and three assists over 35 minutes during Tuesday's 119-109 loss to Golden State.
ANALYSIS
Considering LeBron James (sciatica) was out, this was a quiet showing for Hachimura. Fantasy managers will be happy with the workload that he saw, but they will be hoping for more involvement in the offense going forward. During the 2024-25 regular season, Hachimura put up 13.1 points per game despite a small usage rate of 16.1 percent.
Oct 18, 2025
Accurate shooting in loss
Hachimura tallied 18 points (6-10 FG, 2-2 FT, 4-5 3Pt), a rebound, an assist and a steal across 30 minutes during Friday's 117-116 preseason loss to the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura's usage load will be massive as the season begins, as the team will rely on him to fill the gap left by LeBron James (sciatica). While a number of players will pitch in to make up for the scoring gap, Hachimura and Deandre Ayton will handle the duties inside, providing a stable core for the rest of LA's playmakers.
Oct 16, 2025
Solid game in starting role
Hachimura posted 19 points (9-18 FG, 0-1 FT, 1-6 3Pt), three rebounds and an assist across 31 minutes in Wednesday's 121-94 preseason loss to the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura should be in the starting limeup for the Lakers to begin the season, and his production will be sorely needed during LeBron James' (sciatica) absence. He wil likely remain with the first unit when James returns, but there will be increaed pressure for him to perform well over the first month of the season.
Oct 15, 2025
Starting Wednesday
Hachimura is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's preseason game against the Mavericks, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura, who rested Tuesday, will draw the start Wednesday with the Lakers' previous starters all sitting out the second half of the back-to-back. The forward started 57 of 59 regular-season appearances last year and is expected to open this season in the starting lineup while LeBron James (sciatica) remains sidelined.
Oct 15, 2025
Will play Wednesday
Hachimura will play in Wednesday's preseason game against the Mavericks, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura sat out Tuesday's loss to the Suns, though he'll return to game action against Dallas. The 27-year-old forward was a regular in Los Angeles' starting five last season and may see increased usage in the beginning of the 2025-26 campaign with LeBron James expected to miss time while dealing with Sciatica.
Oct 14, 2025
Won't play Tuesday
Hachimura (rest) won't play in Tuesday's preseason game against the Trail Blazers, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura, Gabe Vincent, Jarred Vanderbilt and Jaxson Hayes will all be in street clothes Tuesday, but Luka Doncic, Austin Reaves and Deandre Ayton are expected to be available. Hachimura has started every preseason game for the Lakers thus far, and he may see increased usage to start the regular season, as LeBron James (knee) will be sidelined for at least a few weeks.
Oct 13, 2025
Pops for 16 points in win
Hachimura finished with 16 points (6-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one steal in 27 minutes during Sunday's preseason win over the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura scored the ball efficiently, although his complementary production left a lot to be desired. With LeBron James (pinched nerve) likely to miss at least the first two weeks of the regular season, Hachimura will have an opportunity to step up on the offensive end of the floor. While he has proven he can be a reliable scorer, the coaching staff will also be hoping Hachimura can contribute on the defensive end, something he has previously struggled to do.
Apr 13, 2025
Won't play Sunday
Hachimura is out for Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers due to left patellar tendinopathy, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has missed 15 of the Lakers' last 22 games due to injuries, and the Lakers will aim to give the veteran forward as much rest as possible before the start of the playoffs April 19. Hachimura will end the regular season with averages of 13.1 points and 5.0 rebounds per game while being a regular starter for the Lakers when healthy.
Apr 9, 2025
Available to play Wednesday
Hachimura (knee) is available for Wednesday's game against the Mavericks, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura missed Tuesday's loss to the Thunder, but the forward should recover his regular role in the starting unit for this clash Wednesday. This means Dorian Finney-Smith would likely return to the bench. Hachimura has played in seven of the Lakers' last nine games (including five starts) as he continues to work through a left knee injury, averaging 11.3 points and 3.9 rebounds across 27.9 minutes per game in those contests.
Apr 7, 2025
Not playing Tuesday
Hachimura (knee) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against Oklahoma City, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has played in seven of the Lakers' last nine games (including five starts) as he continues to work through a left knee injury, and over that span he has averaged 11.3 points and 3.9 rebounds across 27.9 minutes. He'll be held out of Tuesday's game but could be available for the second leg of the Lakers' back-to-back set Wednesday against the Mavericks. Dorian Finney-Smith (ankle), Dalton Knecht, Gabe Vincent (knee) and Jordan Goodwin are candidates to enter the Lakers' starting five due to Hachimura's absence.
Apr 6, 2025
Will start vs. OKC
Hachimura will be in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Thunder, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After a one-game absence to manage a knee injury, Hachimura will be back on the floor Sunday in Oklahoma City while also being in the starting lineup with Dorian Finney-Smith set to come off the bench. In 54 games as a starter for the Lakers this season, the Gonzaga product is averaging 13.4 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game, shooting 50.9 percent from the floor and 42 percent from beyond the arc.
Apr 5, 2025
Removed from injury report
Hachimura (knee) has been cleared to play in Sunday's game against the Thunder, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After missing Friday's game against the Pelicans due to managing a knee injury, Hachimura will be back on the floor for the Lakers on Sunday in Oklahoma City. The veteran forward has averaged 11.3 points and 3.3 rebounds per game since returning from a 12-game absence.
Apr 4, 2025
Ruled out for Friday
Hachimura (knee) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Pelicans, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura scored 24 points Thursday against the Warriors but is sitting out Friday due to a minor knee injury. In his absence, the Lakers will likely ask for more out of Dorian Finney-Smith, Dalton Knecht, Jarred Vanderbilt and Jordan Goodwin.
Apr 4, 2025
Steps up with season-high 24 points
Hachimura closed with 24 points (9-15 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds and three assists over 34 minutes during Thursday's 123-116 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura logged his fourth consecutive start in the loss, and the forward his gradually working his way back to full speed after missing 12 games with a knee injury. He wasn't on a minute restriction, so it's possible that he'll stay in the starting lineup for both games of next week''s back-to-back set.
Mar 28, 2025
Absent from injury report
Hachimura (knee) isn't listed on the injury report for Saturday's game against the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
After missing the second half of the Lakers' back-to-back in Thursday's loss to the Bulls, Hachimura is set to be available Saturday. The veteran forward has averaged 8.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 0.7 steals and 1.7 three-pointers in 23.3 minutes over three games since returning from an extended absence with a left knee injury, so he's still building up his workload and should continue to see his playing time rise going forward.
Mar 27, 2025
Ruled out against Chicago
Hachimura (knee) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Bulls, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura continues to manage a left knee issue, which will keep him off the floor Thursday in Chicago. The Lakers will likely turn to Dorian Finney-Smith, Dalton Knecht, Jarred Vanderbilt and Jordan Goodwin to help shoulder the load against the Bulls.
Mar 26, 2025
Will start vs. Indiana
Hachimura will be in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pacers, Daniel Starkand of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura will be in the first unit for the Lakers for the first time since returning from his extended absence due to a knee injury. In 50 games as a starter for Los Angeles this season, the veteran forward is averaging 13.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game, shooting 50.6 percent from the floor and 41 percent from beyond the arc.
Mar 26, 2025
Will be available Wednesday
Hachimura (knee) is available for Wednesday's game against the Pacers, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was initially listed as probable, so it's not surprising to see him available for this contest, and he'll suit up for a third straight game following his 12-game absence due to left patellar tendinopathy. Hachimura has been limited to 18 and 24 minutes in his two games since his return to the hardwood.
Mar 25, 2025
Expected to play Wednesday
Hachimura (knee) is probable for Wednesday's game against the Pacers, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura is expected to suit up for a third consecutive contest following a 12-game absence due to left patellar tendinopathy. The 27-year-old forward was able to play 24 minutes during Monday's loss to Orlando after recording only 18 during his return in Saturday's loss to the Bulls. The Lakers will presumably continue to manage Hachimura's playing time.
Mar 24, 2025
Available with minutes restriction
Hachimura (knee) is available for Monday's game against Orlando, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
ANALYSIS
Monday will mark Hachimura's second appearance following a 12-game absence with a knee issue, and head coach JJ Redick says the veteran forward will have a minutes restriction against the Magic, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports. Hachimura logged 18 minutes in Saturday's game against Chicago, so fantasy managers should expect a similar workload in this one.
Mar 24, 2025
Upgraded to probable Monday
Hachimura (knee) is listed as probable for Monday's game against Orlando, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura had missed 12 games due to left knee patellar tendinopathy before returning for Saturday's loss to the Bulls. He was initially listed as questionable for Monday's game, but the 2019 first-round pick appears to be on track to play in a second straight contest. Hachimura was limited to 18 minutes of playing time in Saturday's contest, and he's expected to operate under a minutes restriction while working on his conditioning.
Mar 23, 2025
Iffy to play Monday
Hachimura (knee) is questionable for Monday's game against the Magic, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was able to return to game action during Saturday's blowout loss to the Bulls following a 12-game absence streak due to left knee patellar tendinopathy. He posted five points (2-6 FG, 1-4 3Pt), two rebounds and one steal across 18 minutes. The Lakers will likely continue to manage the forward's availability ahead of the playoffs, as Hachimura said postgame that he, "Can't really get back to 100 percent right away," per Daniel Starkand of LakersNation.com.
Mar 23, 2025
Poor production in return
Hachimura (knee) tallied five points (2-6 FG, 1-4 3Pt), two rebounds and one steal across 18 minutes Saturday in the Lakers' 146-115 loss to the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was back in action after missing the last 12 games due to left patellar tendinopathy, but his return was overshadowed by that of LeBron James (groin), who also suited up after sitting out the last seven contests. Unlike James -- who played 31 minutes before head coach JJ Redick pulled all of his starters with 6:42 remaining in the blowout loss -- Hachimura operated with a harder cap on his minutes in his first game back. Hachimura also came off the bench for the first time all season and may eventually supplant Dorian Finney-Smith, but expect the 27-year-old to play on the second unit for at least one more contest after struggling during his time on the court Saturday. Bringing Hachimura off the bench will also allow the Lakers to slowly ramp up his minutes, though the veteran forward probably shouldn't be counted on to reclaim the 30-plus-minute role he had regularly handled prior to suffering his knee injury.
Mar 22, 2025
Ready to play vs. Chicago
Hachimura (knee) is available for Saturday's game against the Bulls, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura is set to return for the first time since Feb. 27, although head coach JJ Redick stated the forward will be on a minutes restriction that should hover around 20 to 24 minutes, according to Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet. Hachimura is averaging 13.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.8 steals per game across 50 starts this season.
Mar 22, 2025
Now likely to play against Chicago
Hachimura (knee) is listed as probable for Saturday's game versus the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has been upgraded from questionable to probable after missing the Lakers' previous 12 outings due to a left knee injury. If Hachimura is ultimately upgraded to available, it wouldn't be surprising for him to operate on a minutes restriction.
Mar 21, 2025
Questionable for Saturday
Hachimura (knee) has been listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Bulls, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has missed the last 12 games for the Lakers while nursing a left knee issue, but he might be able to return to the floor Saturday. The 26-year-old forward is having a solid season, averaging 13.3 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game, shooting 50.6 percent from the floor and 41 percent from deep.
Mar 21, 2025
Could be back Saturday
Lakers head coach JJ Redick said Thursday that he's hopeful Hachimura (knee) will be available to play Saturday against the Bulls, Mark Medina of TheSportingTribune.com reports.
ANALYSIS
While he continues to recover from left patellar tendinopathy, Hachimura missed his 12th straight game in Thursday's 118-89 loss to the Bucks, but the veteran forward looks to be closing in on a return to action. Hachimura resumed taking part in 3-on-3 on-court work earlier this week, and if he's able to increase his activity Friday, the Lakers could give him the green light to suit up Saturday. If Hachimura plays against the Bulls, he'll likely be operating with a minutes restriction. He's started in all 50 of his appearances on the season, averaging 13.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.7 three-pointers and 1.5 assists in 32.1 minutes per contest while shooting 50.6 percent from the field and 76.5 percent from the free-throw line.
Mar 20, 2025
Another absence coming
Hachimura (knee) is out for Thursday's game versus the Bucks, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura's absence streak will extend to 12 games Thursday due to left patellar tendinopathy. While Hachimura has returned to 3-on-3 work, his next chance to suit up is Saturday's matchup with Chicago.
Mar 18, 2025
Remains out for Wednesday
Hachimura (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura will miss his 11th consecutive contest due to left patellar tendinopathy. The 27-year-old forward returned to 3-on-3 work Monday, per Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times, and his next chance to play will come Thursday against the Bucks.
Mar 17, 2025
Progressing in recovery
Head coach JJ Redick said Monday that Hachimura (knee), who has already been ruled out for Monday's game against the Spurs, has progressed to 3-on-3 work, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura will miss his 10th consecutive contest Monday due to left knee tendinopathy, though Redick has relayed that he can be considered day-to-day. Additionally, his progression to 3-on-3 work bodes well for his return in the near future. The 27-year-old's next chance to play will come Wednesday against the Nuggets, though he'll likely face restrictions whenever he returns.
Mar 17, 2025
Still out Monday
Hachimura (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Spurs, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura hasn't played since Feb. 27 and remains without a return timetable, though coach JJ Redick continues to describe Hachimura and LeBron James as day-to-day. Hachimura's next chance to suit up will come Wednesday against Denver.
Mar 15, 2025
Won't play Sunday
Hachimura (knee) is out for Sunday's game against the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura will miss a seventh consecutive game due to a nagging knee injury, but since his status continues to be day-to-day, it wouldn't be surprising if he returns to the court soon. His next chance to suit up will come against the Spurs on Monday in the second leg of another back-to-back set.
Mar 13, 2025
Labeled day-to-day
Hachimura (knee) was sent back to Los Angeles and has been marked day-to-day moving forward by head coach JJ Redick, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura joins LeBron James (groin) and Jaxson Hayes (knee) in returning to Los Angeles, and will miss the remaining games of the Lakers' road trip against the Bucks and Nuggets. Hachimura has missed his last six games, but is progressing through his recovery and may return as soon as Sunday against Phoenix.
Mar 8, 2025
Will miss road trip
Hachimura (knee) will miss the Lakers' current road trip, head coach JJ Redick said, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura will miss at least the next four games on the road for the Lakers. With the veteran forward on the mend, Dorian Finney-Smith, Dalton Knecht and Jarred Vanderbilt will likely continue to shoulder the load.
Mar 7, 2025
Ruled out vs. Boston
Hachimura (knee) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Celtics, Daniel Starkand of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura will miss a fifth straight game for the Lakers while dealing with a left knee issue. Dorian Finney-Smith has assumed the starting lineup in his absence, which will likely continue against the Celtics. Dalton Knecht and Jarred Vanderbilt also stand to see more time on the floor against Boston.
Mar 1, 2025
Out at least one week
Head coach JJ Reddick told reporters after Friday's 106-102 win over the Clippers that Hachimura has been diagnosed with left patellar tendinopathy, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura injured his left knee during Thursday's win against the Timberwolves, and further tests have resulted in a diagnoses of patellar tendinopathy. Hachimura will be re-assessed in a week, by which time the Lakers will have a better understanding of how the 27-year-old forward responds to the injury, per Buha. In the 10 games prior to his injury, Hachimuara had averaged 17.5 points on 53.2 percent shooting (including 39.0 percent from three on 5.9 3PA/G), 5.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists over 35.1 minutes per game. Dorian Finney-Smith started Friday and will likely remain in the Lakers' starting lineup for as long as Hachimura is sidelined, while Jordan Goodwin (ankle), Dalton Knecht and Jarred Vanderbilt should each have an opportunity to see their playing time off the bench increase.
Feb 28, 2025
No timetable on return
Hachimura does not have a clear timetable to return from a left knee strain that he suffered against the Timberwolves on Thursday, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Head coach JJ Reddick expressed optimism Friday that Hachimura's knee injury wasn't serious, but the 27-year-old forward has undergone imaging and will get further evaluation on the issue. Dorian Finney-Smith figures to be in the Lakers' starting lineup in Hachimura's absence while Jordan Goodwin, Dalton Knecht and Jarred Vanderbilt are candidates to see increased minutes off the bench.
Feb 28, 2025
Won't go Friday
Hachimura (knee) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Clippers, Daniel Starkand of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura will miss the second leg of the club's back-to-back set after sustaining a left knee strain during Thursday's win over the Timberwolves. With the 27-year-old sidelined, Dorian Finney-Smith and Jordan Goodwin are candidates for an uptick in playing time.
Feb 28, 2025
Won't return Thursday
Hachimura suffered a left knee strain during Thursday's game against the Timberwolves and will not return, according to the Sportsnet Live broadcast.
ANALYSIS
The Lakers are right back at it Friday against the Clippers, so consider Hachimura a question mark for the second half of the back-to-back. The forward was limited to 18 minutes before departing for good Thursday, putting up just five points and three rebounds on the night.
Feb 22, 2025
Returns to Saturday's game
Hachimura (back) checked back in at the 6:07 mark of the fourth quarter in Saturday's game against the Nuggets, Daniel Starkand of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura briefly left early in the fourth quarter of Saturday's game after appearing tweaking his back. He was evaluated by trainers in the locker room, but the injury doesn't appear to be severe enough for him to be sidelined for the rest of the contest.
Feb 22, 2025
Exits game due to back injury
Hachimura went to the locker room during the fourth quarter of Saturday's game against the Nuggets due to a back injury, Daniel Starkand of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura appeared to suffer the injury while guarding Aaron Gordon, and the former was seen clutching at the left side of his back while walking back to the locker room. Dorian Finney-Smith, Gabe Vincent and Jarred Vanderbilt would be in line to see increased playing time in the fourth quarter if Hachimura is unable to return.
Feb 21, 2025
Grabs 12 rebounds in victory
Hachimura contributed six points (3-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt), 12 rebounds, one assist and one block over 35 minutes during Thursday's 110-102 victory over Portland.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura drew the start with Luka Doncic (calf) on the sidelines, manning the off-guard spot, an atypical position for the 6-8 wingman. His usage in Thursday's victory further complicates speculation about the Lakers' first unit once Doncic and LeBron James are finally back on the court together. Since the team is thin up front, Hachimura's rebounding and scoring ability might be a necessary addition to the offensive formula, and that could curtail Austin Reaves' production.
Feb 20, 2025
Scores 17 points in loss
Hachimura provided 17 points (7-16 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 2-4 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and one steal in 39 minutes during Wednesday's 100-97 loss to Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was forced to embrace a more significant role on offense after Austin Reaves got ejected due to back-to-back technical fouls, but he flourished on offense and had another productive outing. Hachimura is going through his most productive stretch of the campaign, and the numbers back him up. He's averaging 18.7 points and 5.0 rebounds per game while shooting 57 percent from the floor across his last nine contests.
Feb 13, 2025
Leads team with 19 points
Hachimura closed Wednesday's 131-119 loss to the Jazz with 19 points (8-15 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 0-1 FT), three rebounds and one assist in 30 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Even with Luka Doncic and LeBron James in the lineup for the Lakers, it was Hachimura that led the team in scoring. The 27-year-old forward has been consistently productive of late, scoring in double digits in eight straight games since returning from a minor calf issue and averaging 18.9 points, 4.6 boards, 2.6 threes and 1.1 assists over that stretch while shooting 59.2 percent from the floor and a stunning 51.2 percent (21-for-41) from beyond the arc.
Feb 11, 2025
Goes for 21 points in win
Hachimura racked up 21 points (8-14 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and two steals in 29 minutes during Monday's 132-113 victory over the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura should be one of the biggest beneficiaries of the arrival of Luka Doncic, as he's going to get even more open looks on offense when sharing the floor with both the Slovenian and LeBron James (abdomen). Hachimura is going through a prolific stretch in recent weeks, notching at least 20 points in five of his last six games while averaging 19.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per game over that span.
Feb 8, 2025
Celebrates birthday with 24 points
Hachimura had 24 points (8-13 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT), nine rebounds and one steal over 33 minutes during Saturday's 124-117 victory over the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
The sixth-year forward celebrated his 27th birthday in style, setting a new season scoring high while dropping at least 20 points for the fourth time in the last five games, Hachimura has stepped up while the Lakers wait for Luka Doncic (calf) to make his debut with the team, and during that five-game stretch he's averaging 19.6 points, 5.2 boards, 2.8 threes and 1.4 assists.
Feb 7, 2025
Another double-digit scoring effort
Hachimura recorded 11 points (4-9 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-4 FT), four rebounds and three assists in 39 minutes during Thursday's 120-112 win over Golden State.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has now tallied double-digit points in sixth straight games, also accomplishing this feat in nine of his last 10 outings as well. Through these 10 appearances, the veteran forward has averaged 15.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1.9 threes in 31.3 minutes while shooting 41.3 percent from deep. That said, Hachimura's fantasy value could take a hit once Luka Doncic (calf) is in the fold, as he's set to be bumped back down to fourth in the pecking order when it comes the top scoring options in the Los Angeles offense.

Hachimura posted his third game of the season with four or more threes made, now having tallied 20 or more points in five outings this year.

ANALYSIS
After missing two games due to a calf issue, Hachimura returned to the Lakers' starting lineup Tuesday and posted 13 points (6-9 FG), two rebounds and one assist in 24 minutes during a 118-104 loss in Philadelphia. With Anthony Davis (core) sidelined for at least a week, Hachimura could see increased usage versus Washington if given the green light to suit up.

Jan 27, 2025

ANALYSIS
Hachimura was carrying a questionable tag prior to this update, but he will miss his second straight game Monday. It remains to be seen if he'll be able to return Tuesday against the 76ers. Dorian Finney-Smith is likely to draw another start in Hachimura's absence.
Jan 26, 2025
Iffy for Monday vs. Charlotte

Pops for 19 in Sunday's loss
Hachimura recorded 19 points (9-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 0-1 FT), seven rebounds and one assist over 33 minutes during Sunday's 116-102 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
The 26-year-old forward put together a solid performance, but sustained success continues to elude Hachimura. He's scored in double digits in three straight games, but his longest such streak of the season is only five contests. Over eight appearances in January, Hachimura is averaging 12.4 points, 4.8 boards, 1.6 assists and 1.4 threes while shooting 55.4 percent from the floor, and his usage isn't likely to increase as long as LeBron James and Anthony Davis remain healthy and the focal points of the Lakers' offense.
Jan 16, 2025
Ties season-high 23 points
Hachimura totaled 23 points (9-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and one steal across 33 minutes during Wednesday's 117-108 victory over the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura's team-high 23 points in Wednesday's win also tied his season high. While Hachimura isn't relied upon to score in bunches every night, his 42.5 percent shooting from three helps provide spacing for LeBron James and Anthony Davis in the paint.

Struggles in loss to Portland
Hachimura had six points (2-6 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and three assists across 23 minutes during Thursday's 114-106 win over the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
With Anthony Davis nursing an ankle injury in the first game of a back-to-back for the Lakers, Hachimura had an opportunity to prove his worth against the lowly Blazers. However, he failed to show up, hitting only two of the six shots he put up while also unable to be a force on the glass with four rebounds. He has had his moments as a starter for Los Angeles this season, but he can be very hot and cold from night to night.
Dec 29, 2024

ANALYSIS

The six-year veteran endured a rough stretch in mid-December but has been turning things around and has scored in double digits in four of his last five outings. He's averaging 13.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.3 steals per game since the beginning of the current month (12 appearances).

Firmly entrenched in a starting role this season, Hachimura is trending in the right direction after scoring in double digits in his last five outings. He's averaging 14.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.8 assists per game in that span.

Productive at both ends Friday
Hachimura posted 12 points (5-6 FG, 2-2 3Pt), nine rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two steals over 41 minutes during Friday's 134-132 overtime loss to Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
It was the first time this season Hachimura produced multiple steals and blocks in the same game, and the 26-year-old forward fell one board shy of his second double-double. Hachimura has been a useful complementary player for the Lakers since his late November return from an ankle injury, averaging 11.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.3 threes, 1.0 steals and 0.8 blocks over eight starts while shooting 60.0 percent from the floor.

ANALYSIS
Hachimura is slowly working his way back into the groove, although he 's yet to post numbers that reflect results prior to his four-game absence. He logged 40 minutes during Sunday's win and should be given every opportunity to get back on track, though it may take another game or two to see more customary numbers.

Struggles in loss
Hachimura amassed seven points (3-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt), one rebound and one assist across 23 minutes during Tuesday's 127-100 loss to the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura's two games since his return have fallen short of expectations. A return to his customary production may require some patience, as his ankle injury might still be a lingering issue. the Lakers went 3-1 during his absence, so the team can certainly afford to give him some additional days for rest and injury management.
Nov 24, 2024
Posts 10 points in return
Hachimura (ankle) scored 10 points (4-7 FG, 2-4 3Pt) and added three assists, two rebounds and one steal across 22 minutes in Saturday's 127-102 loss to the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
In his return from a five-game absence due to a left ankle sprain, Hachimura took back his spot in the starting five, with rookie Dalton Knecht moving to the bench as a result. Though Knecht (28 minutes) still outpaced him in playing time, the blowout nature of the game may have played a factor in Hachimura's lower minutes total. Prior to Saturday, Hachimura had been averaging 33.9 minutes per game over his 10 appearances on the season, so expect his playing time to pick up a bit as he becomes further removed from the ankle sprain.

ANALYSIS
Hachimura was a very late addition to the injury report and is expected to be held out Wednesday evening. If Hachimura does end up sitting as expected, it's likely that the Lakers will utilize smaller lineups with players such as Cam Reddish and Dalton Knecht benefitting.
Nov 5, 2024
Scores eight points
Hachimura registered eight points (2-6 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one block in 35 minutes during Monday's 115-103 loss to the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
This was a quiet night for Hachimura as his cold streak continues. He's now been held to single-digit points in three straight games. There is a chance that his usage could trend up, however, as Anthony Davis left Monday's game with an ankle injury and is considered day-to-day.
Nov 2, 2024
Quiet again Friday
Hachimura finished Friday's 131-125 victory over Toronto with nine points (3-12 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds and one assist over 33 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura managed just nine points in the loss, his second straight game scoring in single-digits. While it is frustrating, the positive is that his playing time has remained relatively consistent no matter his statistical output. He has exceeded 30 minutes in all but one game thus far, averaging 14.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.7 three-pointers. Despite his recent struggles, Hachimura should continue to serve as a key piece for the Lakers, making him a viable target.
Oct 27, 2024
Flirts with double-double in win
Hachimura ended Saturday's 131-127 victory over Sacramento with 18 points (5-13 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 6-6 FT), nine rebounds and three assists across 37 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was a great late-round option for fantasy managers, and he is paying huge dividends in LA's starting lineup. Although it's early in the season, he's blowing apart averages in previous seasons, sporting dramatic increases in points and rebounds.
Oct 23, 2024
Solid with 18 points in debut
Hachimura ended Tuesday's 110-103 win over the Timberwolves with 18 points (7-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, one assist, one block and two steals in 35 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura picked up where he left off in the preseason and delivered another impressive line in the victory. Jarred Vanderbilt (foot) will return to action soon, but it's unlikely that JJ Redick will adjust Hachimura's usage, especially at his current pace.

Head coach JJ Redick indicated that Hachimura would be rested along with the other Lakers' starters. He missed Los Angeles' previous preseason game due to calf tightness. It looks like the team is erring on the side of caution in order to ensure his health once the regular season commences.
Oct 17, 2024
Out due to calf injury
Hachimura is dealing with calf tightness and won't play in Thursday's preseason game against the Suns, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Lakers will be cautious and will sit out both LeBron James (rest) and Hachimura, meaning Cam Reddish and Max Christie will start as replacements. It remains to be seen if Hachimura will be able to feature in the preseason finale against the Warriors on Friday, but those chances are slim.
Oct 16, 2024
Flirts with double-double in loss
Hachimura recorded 15 points (5-14 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT). nine rebounds, an assist, a steal and a blocked shot across 28 minutes during Tuesday's 111-97 preseason loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
The Lakers' projected first unit received quality minutes during Tuesday's loss, and Hachimura is firming his hold on the top spot with Jarred Vanderbilt (foot) and Christian Wood (knee) sidelined. Although Vanderbilt should return soon and compete for minutes, Wood's knee surgery will result in a lengthy absence.
Oct 11, 2024
Leads team with 14 points
Hachimura totaled 14 points (6-12 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 0-1 FT), five rebounds, two steals and one assist across 24 minutes in Thursday's 107-102 win over the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura started once again in the frontcourt with Anthony Davis, a trend that could continue into the regular season. Although Jarred Vanderbilt and Christian Wood are still on the roster, Hachimura seems to have the definitive edge over this teammates and the confidence of new coach JJ Redick.
Oct 7, 2024
Scores 13 points Sunday
Hachimura totaled 13 points (6-8 FG, 1-1 3Pt), eight rebounds, one assist and one steal across 222 minutes during Sunday's 118-114 preseason loss to Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was one of five Lakers players Sunday to score in double digits, and he joined D'Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves as the three starters to play 20-plus minutes. Entering his sixth year in the league and his second full season with the Lakers, Hachimura will look to expand his role in the front court next to Anthony Davis and LeBron James.

Healthy to start training camp
General manager Rob Pelinka said Wednesday that Hachimura is medically cleared for the start of training camp, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
This doesn't come as a surprise, as Hachimura was healthy at the end of last season and starred for Japan during the Paris Olympics. However, he did deal with multiple injuries to begin the 2023-24 campaign, missing 14 of the first 39 games. When healthy, Hachimura is a dynamic scorer who can fill up the box score quickly, and he's expected to open the 2024-25 campaign as a starter in the Lakers' frontcourt next to LeBron James and Anthony Davis, per Evan Sidery of Forbes.com.
Jul 27, 2024
Double-double in blowout defeat
Hachimura chipped in 20 points (4-19 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 10-12 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and one block across 36 minutes in Japan's 97-77 loss to Germany in the Paris Olympics on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
While Hachimura did rack up a double-double and score a team-high 20 points, he lived from the charity stripe as he struggled to hit shots from the field Saturday. The 26-year-old played nearly the whole game, and he will likely continue to serve as Japan's main offensive option moving forward. Hachimura will look to solve his shooting woes against a tough opponent in France on Tuesday.
Apr 30, 2024
Ends season on high note
Hachimura chipped in 15 points (6-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds and one assist across 34 minutes during Monday's 108-106 loss to the Nuggets in Game 5 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura scored in double figures for the first time during the opening-round series, but it wasn't enough as the Lakers were bounced from the playoffs by the Nuggets for a second consecutive season. From Feb. 9 through April 16, Hachimura averaged 16.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 steals-plus-blocks in 31.4 minutes. He excelled as a starter during the regular season, but Hachimura's poor postseason may impact his role next season. He signed a three-year, $51 million deal with the Lakers last summer.
Apr 10, 2024
Shores up interior in loss
Hachimura produced 20 points (7-21 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 11 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal in 31 minutes during Tuesday's 134-120 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was a valuable piece up front amid Anthony Davis' (head) absence, but his fourth double-double of the season wasn't enough to stave off the Warriors. All four of Hachimura's double-doubles have occurred over the last nine games, making the Gonzaga product a more consistent fantasy producer down the stretch. Over the nine-game span, Hachimura averaged 19.1 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists.
Apr 8, 2024
Leads ream with 30 points in loss
Hachimura recorded 30 points (11-17 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds and one assist over 36 minutes during Sunday's 127-117 loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura tallied one of his best games of the season due to LeBron James' (illness) absence and an early exit from Anthony Davis (eye). Hachimura and Jaxson Hayes stepped up after Davis' exit, further highlighting the depth available to the Lakers as they try to keep pace in the West. Davis' injury isn't considered serious, so Hachimura could experience a slight regression Tuesday agains the Warriors.
Apr 4, 2024
Tallies 19 points Wednesday
Hachimura provided 19 points (9-12 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 0-1 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one block in 27 minutes during Wednesday's 125-120 victory over Washington.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura finished third on the Lakers in scoring Wednesday behind Anthony Davis and LeBron James. Hachimura is averaging 13.3 points per game this season, but since March 1 he's upped that to 17.2 points on 60.8 percent shooting (including 47.5 percent from three on 3.8 3PA/G) to go along with 5.0 rebounds and 1.6 assists over 31.0 minutes per game.
Mar 28, 2024
Rides red-hot hand to 32 points
Hachimura finished with 32 points (11-14 FG, 7-8 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist and two blocks across 36 minutes during Wednesday's 136-124 win over the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura entered Wednesday having gone just 3-for-13 from three-point range over his previous five games, but he caught fire against Memphis to drain a season-best seven triples on just eight attempts. In addition to his offensive impact, the power forward grabbed 10 boards to notch his second double-double of the season -- both of which have come in his past two contests. Hachimura featured more prominently with Anthony Davis (knee) out of action, and the former could continue to take on a more central role if Davis needs to miss additional time.
Mar 27, 2024
Steps up sans LeBron
Hachimura amassed 16 points (7-14 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 14 rebounds and one assist in 39 minutes during Tuesday's 128-124 double-overtime victory over Milwaukee.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura's energy pounding the glass was critical for a Lakers team that ranks 13th in defensive rebounding and last in offensive rebounding league-wide. Coach Darvin Ham opted to roll with Hachimura over Taurean Prince during overtime, so he has the trust to perform and is capable of delivering production similar to Tuesday on nights when LeBron James (ankle) is inactive in the future.
Mar 25, 2024
Quiet in 30 minutes
Hachimura ended with nine points (4-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt), five rebounds, one assist and one block in 30 minutes during Sunday's 150-145 win over Indiana.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura had scored in double digits in his previous seven games, so it's surprising that his streak ended in a game in which the Lakers produced 150 points. He's been terrific in March, posting averages of 16.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.6 three-pointers.
Mar 17, 2024
Efficient in loss to Warriors
Hachimura produced 14 points (7-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt), four rebounds, two assists and one block in 30 minutes during Saturday's 128-121 loss to Golden State.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura only missed three of his 10 shots form the field. Still, his contributions on both ends of the court were not enough to lift the Lakers past Golden State in this pivotal matchup with potential playoff-seeding implications. Hachimura has scored in double digits in each of his last five appearances, averaging 18.0 points and shooting 60.9 percent from the field in that five-game stretch.
Mar 14, 2024
Posts 20-point outing
Hachimura accumulated 20 points (9-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt), three rebounds and one assist in 36 minutes during Wednesday's 120-107 loss to the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura struck with precision Wednesday. His extremely efficient outing pushed his recent performance in 19.0 points on 59.3 percent shooting off 13.5 shots across his last four games. Cam Reddish (ankle) has yet to consistently re-enter the rotation, but that is a potential factor in Hachimura's role moving forward.
Mar 7, 2024
Excels with 29 points
Hachimura ended Wednesday's 130-120 loss to the Kings with 29 points (13-17 FG, 3-5 3Pt), two rebounds, one block and two steals across 33 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Hachmura is productive but unpredictable, as there's often no rhyme or reason for the wild differential in utilization. His return to the starting lineup in early February has reaped benefits for the Lakers, but Anthony Davis can be selfish in the frontcourt, allowing less opportunities for Hachimura to produce. He's still a viable fantasy candidate as long as he continues to start.
Feb 29, 2024
Solid contribution in victory
Hachimura registered 17 points (8-15 FG, 1-5 3Pt), two rebounds and one steal in 29 minutes during Wednesday's 116-112 win over the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura delivered as a scoring threat during Wednesday's win, but the team could use a little more help from him in secondary categories. It's hard to carve a significant role with LeBron James and Anthony Davis carrying the load, and while the 6-8 Gonzaga product pops for a decent number often enough, he's only averaging 3.8 rebounds per game. Activity off the glass is largely missing from Hachimura's game since joining the Lakers last season.
Feb 24, 2024
Puts up 17 in win
Hachimura racked up 17 points (7-11 FG, 3-4 3Pt), seven rebounds, one block and two steals over 32 minutes during Friday's 123-118 victory over San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura saw the fourth most minutes for Los Angeles behind D'Angelo Russell (35), LeBron James (34) and Austin Reaves (33). He has now started eight straight games and reached double-digit scoring figures four times. The big man is averaging 14.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 0.5 steals, 0.8 blocks and 1.6 triples across 31.3 minutes during that span.
Feb 15, 2024
Dominates from deep in season high
Hachimura chipped in 36 points (13-19 FG, 6-8 3Pt, 4-5 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one block in 34 minutes during Wednesday's 138-122 victory over the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura posted his best offensive performance of the season while picking up the gap left behind by LeBron James (ankle) and other Lakers players who were inactive, connecting on a half-dozen threes while ending as one of two players with 35 or more points. Hachimura surpassed the 30-point mark for the first time this season, setting season-best marks in both scoring and threes made in an impressive showcase.
Feb 10, 2024
Turns in 21 points
Hachimura provided 21 points (9-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one block across 37 minutes during Friday's 139-122 win over the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
The Lakers chose to stand pat at the trade deadline, confirming their faith in Hachimura, who represented one of the team's best moves last season. Jarred Vanderbilt (foot) is expected to miss at least three weeks, and while Hachimura already had a leg up on his teammate, he'll likely see a steady lift his minute total for the next few weeks. The Gonzaga product is proving to be a better fit for the starting lineup, as Taurean Prince has struggled with the first unit.
Feb 3, 2024
Nabs another start
Hachimura will start Saturday's game against the Knicks, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura will replace Taurean Prince in the first unit Saturday for his eighth start of the campaign. In his previous seven starts, Hachimura averaged 13.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists.
Jan 25, 2024
Back in bench role
Hachimura will come off the bench Thursday against the Bulls, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura drew a pair of starts Sunday against the Trail Blazers and Tuesday against the Clippers, but the Gonzaga product will retreat to the bench now that LeBron James and Taurean Prince are back at full strength. Hachimura is averaging 19.0 minutes in his last four contests as a reserve.
Jan 21, 2024
Joins starting lineup
Hachimura is starting Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has come off the bench in his four appearances since returning from a calf injury, but he'll make his sixth start of the season Sunday with Taurean Prince (knee) sidelined. Over his previous five starts this year, Hachimura has averaged 14.2 points and 4.2 rebounds in 25.4 minutes per game.
Jan 20, 2024
Delivers donut Friday
Hachimura notched zero points (0-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist over 15 minutes during Friday's 130-112 loss to the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura failed to score in 15 minutes, highlighting why he should not be considered a viable long-term fantasy asset. He is currently averaging 11.2 points in 22.9 minutes per game, placing him well outside the top 200 in standard leagues. Other than limited value as a points streamer, Hachimura can be overlooked in all competitive formats.
Jan 14, 2024
Returns to action with 17 points
Hachimura registered 17 points (6-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one steal over 19 minutes during Saturday's 132-125 loss to Utah.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura missed five games with a calf injury and was called into action due to a scratch from LeBron James (knee). The Lakers had difficulty containing Lauri Markkanen and John Collins, so they implemented Hachimura to even the height advantage after Cam Reddish (knee) exited the game. Hachimura and Jarred Vanderbilt are difficult players to project due to their spotty results this season, and although they will occasionally pop up with good totals, they are outside the realm of consideration in most fantasy formats.
Jan 12, 2024
Not listed on injury report
Hachimura (calf) isn't listed on the injury report for Saturday's game against Utah, Khobi Price of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura is cleared to suit up following a five-game absence due to a calf injury. With Cam Reddish (knee), D'Angelo Russell (knee) and LeBron James (ankle) all questionable, Hachimura could be looking at 20-plus minutes in his first game back.
Jan 11, 2024
Ruled out Thursday
Hachimura (calf) will not play in Thursday's game against the Suns, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNetreports.
ANALYSIS
Lakers coach Darvin Ham said Hachimura continues to make progress, but the forward will miss his fifth straight game Thursday. From what it sounds like, Hachimura has a good chance of returning for Saturday's game against Utah.
Jan 10, 2024
Doubtful for Thursday
Hachimura (calf) is doubtful for Thursday's game against the Suns, ESPN's Dave McMenamin reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura is expected to miss his fifth straight game, but coach Darvin Ham did say at the beginning of the week that the forward was making good progress. Assuming Hachimura sits, Christian Wood will likely continue to see a bump in playing time off the bench.
Jan 9, 2024
Will not play Tuesday
Hachimura (calf) will not play in Tuesday's game against the Raptors, ESPN's Dave McMenamin reports.
ANALYSIS
Although Hachimura will sit for a fourth straight game, coach Darvin Ham said the forward made some positive steps in injury rehab Monday. He remains day-to-day, so it's possible he could be back in time for Thursday's game against the Suns.
Jan 8, 2024
Upgraded to doubtful
Hachimura (calf) has been upgraded to doubtful for Tuesday's game against Toronto, ESPN's Dave McMenamin reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura is expected to miss his fourth straight game, but the forward is progressing towards a return in the near future. In the meantime, it's likely that Christian Wood will continue to pick up a handful of minutes off the bench.
Jan 6, 2024
Remains out Sunday
Hachimura (calf) is out to face the Clippers on Sunday, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura picked up a Grade 1 calf strain against the Pelicans on Dec. 31, and the issue is severe enough to keep him out for a third straight game. His next chance to feature will come against the Raptors on Tuesday.
Jan 4, 2024
Won't play Friday
Hachimura (calf) will not play in Friday's game versus Memphis, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura picked up a Grade 1 calf strain on Sunday versus the Pelicans, but the Lakers announced Wednesday that he is considered day-to-day. He will miss his second game in a row Friday, however, so Christian Wood could get another opportunity after scoring 13 points with eight rebounds, three assists and one block in 24 minutes against the Heat on Wednesday.
Jan 3, 2024
Tabbed day-to-day with calf strain
Hachimura is dealing with a Grade 1 calf strain and is considered day-to-day moving forward, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura sustained the injury Sunday against the Pelicans and was ruled out on the Lakers' initial injury report. However, it appears the forward avoided serious injury. Regardless, he should be considered questionable at best for Friday's game against Memphis.
Jan 2, 2024
Won't play play against Miami
Hachimura (calf) is out for Wednesday's game versus the Heat, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura will miss Wednesday's contest after suffering a left calf strain against the Pelicans. Max Christie, Cam Reddish (groin) and Taurean Prince are candidates to receive extended minutes in his absence.
Dec 31, 2023
Suffers calf strain Sunday
Hachimura suffered a left calf strain during Sunday's game versus the Pelicans and will not return, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports. He finished with four points, one rebound, one assist and one steal in eight minutes.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura moved into the starting lineup for Sunday's game, and coach Darvin Ham said the forward would stay there for the foreseeable future. However, this latest injury could put that plan in jeopardy. The Lakers do have a couple days off until they play the Heat on Wednesday, but Hachimura should be considered questionable for now.
Dec 31, 2023
Starting against Pelicans
Hachimura will move into the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Pelicans, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
ANALYSIS
The Lakers are missing Cam Reddish (groin), but coach Darvin Ham was planning to make this lineup switch anyways. According to Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times, coach Ham said the starting unit used Sunday night will be together for the foreseeable future.
Dec 30, 2023
Moves to bench Saturday
Hachimura is not in the starting lineup to face the Timberwolves on Saturday, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura will return to the bench with Cam Reddish (groin) in the starting lineup. He's averaging 11.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game while shooting 37.5 percent from three when playing off the bench this season.
Dec 29, 2023
Pops for 17 in Thursday's start
Hachimura notched 17 points (7-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds, one assist and one steal in 28 minutes during Thursday's 133-112 victory over Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
The former Wizard has struggled to find consistency in his first full season with the Lakers, but Hachimura appears to be getting comfortable with his role. He's scored in double digits in four straight games, starting two of them, and the 25-year-old forward is averaging 17.0 points, 4.5 boards and 1.8 threes over that stretch while shooting 51.9 percent from the floor. Hachimura's lack of secondary production does limit his fantasy appeal, but he could be emerging as an effective scoring complement to LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
Dec 28, 2023
Starting against Hornets
Hachimura will draw the start against the Hornets on Thursday, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Cam Reddish is sitting out Thursday with a groin issue, but he's considered day-to-day. Hachimura has three starts to his name this season with averages of 16.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.3 three-pointers.
Dec 25, 2023
Will suit up
Hachimura (wrist) is available for Monday's game against the Celtics, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was previously carrying a probable tag due to some soreness he's experienced in his wrist for the past week. In 10 December outings, Hachimura has averaged 12.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 1.2 three-pointers.
Dec 24, 2023
Tending to wrist injury
Hachimura is listed as probable for Monday's game against the Celtics due to a wrist injury.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has been dealing with wrist soreness for the last week, but he will likely be able to suit again Monday. The fifth-year pro is averaging 14.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 26.0 minutes over his last five appearances.
Dec 24, 2023
Scores 21 points off bench
Hachimura accumulated 21 points (8-14 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, two assists and one steal in 30 minutes during Saturday's 129-120 victory over the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura moved back to a reserve role after starting against Minnesota in the Lakers' previous contest, but he still logged 30 minutes. The forward earned his time on the court with a strong offensive showing that included his fourth effort of at least 20 points on the campaign. Hachimura's production and minutes have fluctuated at times this season, and he's missed some time with different injuries, but he's been a key part of Los Angeles' bench and is averaging 12.3 points, 4.0 boards, 1.4 assists, 1.2 three-pointers and 0.6 steals over 25.0 minutes across nine games in December.
Dec 23, 2023
Upgraded to probable
Hachimura (wrist) is now probable for Saturday's matchup with the Thunder, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was initially tabbed questionable for Saturday's tilt, but he's now trending toward being available after being upgraded to probable. If Hachimura ends up playing, keep an eye on the status of LeBron James (ankle). The last time James was sidelined, Hachimura started and logged 18 points across 33 minutes.
Dec 22, 2023
Dealing with wrist soreness
Hachimura is questionable for Saturday's game against the Thunder due to left wrist soreness.
ANALYSIS
With LeBron James (ankle) sidelined, Hachimura drew a spot start against Minnesota on Thursday, totaling 18 points, five rebounds and a steal in 33 minutes. However, he has emerged from that contest with a wrist injury and may be sidelined for the first time since Dec. 2. Hachimura is one of six Lakers listed on the initial injury report, so it's difficult to project what Los Angeles' lineup will look like.
Dec 22, 2023
Hits for 18 in Thursday's start
Hachimura finished Thursday's 118-111 loss to the Timberwolves with 18 points (7-12 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-6 FT), five rebounds and one steal across 33 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Getting the start in place of LeBron James (ankle), Hachimura scored in double digits for the fourth time in the last seven games, a stretch in which he's averaging 11.9 points, 4.0 boards, 1.4 assists and 1.0 threes in 24.9 minutes a contest. The 25-year-old's erratic role and court time limit his ceiling in season-long formats, but Hachimura has some DFS utility on nights when he's likely to see a bigger workload than usual.
Dec 21, 2023
Starting against Minnesota
Hachimura will start against the Timberwolves on Thursday, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
LeBron James (calf) is sitting out Thursday, so Hachimura will start alongside Anthony Davis in the frontcourt. In two previous starts this season, Hachimura averaged 16.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 three-pointers.
Dec 16, 2023
Scores 20 from second unit
Hachimura provided 20 points (8-15 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 4-5 FT), five rebounds, four assists and one block over 34 minutes off the bench during Friday's 129-115 loss to the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
After getting the start in the Lakers' last game while LeBron James (calf) was unavailable, Hachimura moved back to the bench Friday, but with Anthony Davis (hip/groin) getting his turn for a maintenance day, he saw a season high in minutes while reaching 20 points for the first time since Nov. 14. The former Wizard hasn't seen his role increase significantly in Los Angeles, at least on a regular basis, but he's a capable DFS option when one of the Lakers' frontcourt stars needs a night off.
Dec 15, 2023
Moves to bench
Hachimura will come off the bench for Friday's game against the Spurs, Khobi Price of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
LeBron James is back in the lineup Friday after missing Wednesday's contest. The Lakers will be without several players Friday, however, so we could see Hachimura get extended run with the second unit.
Dec 14, 2023
Decent output in spot start
Hachimura racked up 13 points (6-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt), seven rebounds, one assist and one block in 24 minutes during Wednesday's 122-119 victory over San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
The Lakers were without LeBron James (calf) for this one, so Hachimura had to step into a starting role. Still, he did a good job, showing efficiency with his shooting and ending close to a double-double. Hachimura is expected to revert to a bench role in Friday's rematch against the Spurs if James is available for that contest.
Dec 13, 2023
Gets starting nod
Hachimura is in the starting five for Wednesday's game versus the Spurs, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura will replace LeBron James (calf) in the starting lineup Wednesday. Hachimura tallied 19 points, five rebounds, two assists and two steals in 33 minutes during his only other starting appearance this season.
Dec 13, 2023
Adds seven points in loss
Hachimura provided seven points (3-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and a steal through 29 minutes in a 127-125 heartbreaker to the Mavericks on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has been solid for the Lakers in his three games back from injury (nose), averaging 8.7 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 0.3 steals over 23.7 minutes in that span. His role as the backup power forward behind LeBron James seems to be established, so expect him to continue producing similar numbers barring injury or sudden lineup changes.
Dec 6, 2023
Gets 21 minutes in return
Hachimura (nose) posted seven points (3-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt), two rebounds and one assist across 21 minutes in Tuesday's 106-103 win over the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura missed four consecutive games with a nasal fracture before being upgraded to available ahead of the Lakers' previous contest Saturday against the Rockets, but the fifth-year forward ultimately went unused after head coach Darvin Ham elected to exercise some additional caution with him. The 25-year-old slotted back into the rotation for the quarterfinal round of the In-Season Tournament, serving as a backup big man along with Jarred Vanderbilt and Jaxson Hayes while Christian Wood fell out of the rotation. Given the crowding in the Los Angeles frontcourt, Hachimura likely won't see his playing time expand much from what he received Tuesday so long as Anthony Davis and LeBron James are both available.
Dec 5, 2023
Set to play Tuesday
Hachimura (nose) is available for Tuesday's game versus the Suns, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura will return to action Tuesday after not playing in the Lakers' five previous outings due to a nasal fracture. The 25-year-old forward will likely come off the bench and be on a minutes restriction against Phoenix.
Dec 4, 2023
Expected to play Tuesday
Hachimura is expected to get some minutes in Tuesday's game against the Suns, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was available for Saturday's game against the Rockets, but he did not see the floor with the Lakers opting to give him one more game off. Hachimura is expected to wear a face mask to protect his nasal fracture and will likely see limited minutes in his return.
Dec 1, 2023
Available for Saturday
Hachimura (nasal fracture) is available for Saturday's game against the Rockets, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura last played on Nov. 22 and finally has the green light to play after undergoing a procedure to address his nasal fracture. The Lakers are starting to get healthier, as Jarred Vanderbilt (heel) is expected to make his season debut Saturday. That may not be good news for Hachimura's fantasy appeal, as the frontcourt is going to be very crowded moving forward.
Nov 24, 2023
Out at least one week
Hachimura underwent a procedure Friday to repair a nasal fracture and will be reevaluated in one week, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura sustained the facial injury during the Lakers' matchup with the Mavericks on Wednesday. With his reevaluation coming in one week, it looks like his earliest opportunity to return will come next Saturday versus Houston. In his absence, Taurean Prince and Jarred Vanderbilt (heel) are candidates to see increased run providing depth at power forward.
Nov 15, 2023
Erupts for 23 points off bench
Hachimura scored 23 points (8-10 FG, 3-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT) to go with three rebounds in 24 minutes in Tuesday's 134-107 win over the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
With LeBron James (calf) making his return from a one-game absence, Hachimura was able to remain productive while coming off the bench. However, Hachimura needed some unsustainably hot shooting to get to clear the 20-point plateau, and he offered little in the way of production in other areas to support his scoring. The Lakers are listing James as questionable for the second leg of a back-to-back set Wednesday against the Kings, and if James sits out, Hachimura could at least have another opportunity to make a spot start.
Nov 14, 2023
Moves back to bench
Hachimura isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Grizzlies, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
With LeBron James (calf) returning to the starting lineup, Hachimura will head back to the bench unit. Hachimura is averaging 11.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 18.0 minutes across his first five appearances coming off the bench this season.
Nov 13, 2023
Haevily involved in win
Hachimura chipped in 19 points (6-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT), five rebounds, two assists and two steals in 33 minutes during Sunday's 116-110 victory over the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura stepped in for LeBron James (calf) and enjoyed a productive game. He spurred a late rally in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach, and his performance might be enough to get him into the starting lineup alongside James and Anthony Davis when he returns. The Lakers have been one of the slowest teams in history in the first quarter, and they could use an immediate spark like Hachimura to begin games.
Nov 12, 2023
Starting Sunday
Hachimura is starting Sunday against the Trail Blazers, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura will join the starting lineup for the first time this season with LeBron James (shin) unavailable Sunday. Hachimura has averaged 11.0 points and 4.0 rebounds in 18.0 minutes per game over five appearances this season.
Nov 9, 2023
Returns with big scoring effort
Hachimura accumulated 24 points (10-14 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-5 FT), eight rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals across 26 minutes during Wednesday's 128-94 loss to the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Los Angeles was blown out Wednesday, but Hachimura was a bright spot in his return from a four-game absence while in the league's concussion protocol. The forward led the Lakers in scoring despite coming off the bench, and he also tied for the team lead with eight boards. Hachimura hadn't played more than 17 minutes in any game prior to Wednesday, and his increased opportunity was partially due to both the absence of Anthony Davis (groin) and the blowout nature of the score, but the big performance could earn him more minutes for a Lakers team that is struggling to begin the campaign.
Nov 8, 2023
Cleared to play
Hachimura (concussion) is available to play against the Rockets on Wednesday, ESPN's Dave McMenamin reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura is officially back after missing the past four games for the Lakers. His return will be a welcome sight for the Lakers, as Anthony Davis is questionable to play due to a hip issue. For now, there's no word of any restrictions for Hachimura.
Nov 7, 2023
Likely to play Wednesday
Hachimura (concussion) is listed as probable for Wednesday's game versus the Rockets, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura is expected to return to the lineup Wednesday after missing the previous four games while in concussion protocols. Max Christie, Cam Reddish and Christian Wood could all see reduced minutes once Hachimura returns.
Nov 6, 2023
Gradually progressing
Hachimura (concussion) is considered day-to-day, Khobi Price of The Orange County Register reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has missed the Lakers' past three games, but he appears to be on the mend. Returning Wednesday against Houston is a possibility, but Los Angeles may opt to exercise and abundance of caution with Hachimura.
Nov 5, 2023
Out again Monday
Hachimura (concussion) will be inactive for Monday's game against Miami.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura's eye contusion was removed from the injury report, leaving concussion protocol as his only infliction. Nonetheless, he will miss Monday's game and his next opportunity to play will be Wednesday against Houston.
Nov 3, 2023
Remains out
Hachimura (eye) has been ruled out for Saturday's matchup against the Magic, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura will miss a third straight game due to a left eye contusion. His next chance to suit up will come Monday in Miami. In Hachimura's absence, Christian Wood and Jaxson Hayes remain candidates for slightly increased roles.
Nov 1, 2023
Officially ruled out
Hachimura (eye) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Hachimura has been downgraded from doubtful to out and will miss a second straight game due to a left eye contusion. Christian Wood and Jaxson Hayes remain candidates for slightly increased bench roles until Hachimura is cleared to suit up.
Oct 31, 2023
Unlikely to play Wednesday
Hachimura (eye) is doubtful for Wednesday's game versus the Clippers, Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura will likely miss his second straight game Wednesday due to a left eye contusion. Christian Wood and Jaxson Hayes should continue to see extended minutes if Hachimura is ruled out.
Oct 30, 2023
Officially out
Hachimura (eye contusion) will miss Monday's game against Orlando, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports
ANALYSIS
Hachimura went from probable to doubtful to inactive throughout the course of the evening. He's a candidate to return Wednesday against the Clippers.
Oct 30, 2023
Downgraded to doubtful
Hachimura (eye contusion) is unlikely to play versus Orlando on Monday, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura suffered an eye contusion in Sunday's overtime loss to the Kings, and the injury is proving cumbersome enough to make him doubtful Monday. If he is officially ruled out, Gabe Vincent and Cam Reddish are candidates to step up
Oct 30, 2023
Probable Monday
Hachimura is probable for Monday's game against the Magic due to a left eye contusion, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Despite his injury, Hachimura will likely be able to suit up for the second half of the Lakers' back-to-back set Monday. He's seen consistent minutes off the bench early in the year, averaging 8.0 points and 3.0 rebounds in 14.7 minutes per game over three appearances.
Oct 19, 2023
Back to bench
Hachimura will return to the bench for Thursday's preseason game against the Suns, according to Lakers sideline reporter Mike Trudell.
ANALYSIS
No surprise here, as LeBron James is back after resting Sunday against the Bucks. While there is still no official word on who the fifth starter will be for the Lakers on Opening Night, Taurean Prince seems to be gaining some momentum.
Oct 11, 2023
Gets starting nod
Hachimura is in the starting five for Wednesday's preseason game against the Kings, Ryan Ward of LakersNation.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura will replace LeBron James (rest) in the starting lineup Wednesday. Hachimura is expected to compete with Jarred Vanderbilt (heel) and Taurean Prince for a starting forward spot this season.
Oct 10, 2023
Posts 19 points off the bench
Hachimura tallied 19 points (8-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds and an assist across 19 minutes in Monday's 129-126 win over the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Although Jarred Vanderbilt and Taurean Prince are in the running for power forward with the first unit, Hachimura appears to be the player with the best chance to garner the full-time role. Hachimura's move to Los Angeles suited him well last season, averaging 9.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, 0.7 assists and 0.6 three-pointers after joining the team. His best moments occurred during the playoffs, where he scored 20-plus points three times. There's a good chance he'll share time at the four, but he'll still be a candidate for substantial fantasy impact.
Oct 8, 2023
Comes close to double-double
Hachimura scored 12 points (5-12 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT) while adding seven rebounds, an assist and a block across 21 minutes in Saturday's 125-108 preseason loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura is reportedly competing with Jarred Vanderbilt and Taurean Prince for the Lakers' final starting spot, and he made a strong case for earn that role in this preseason opener. Hachimura would slot as the team's power forward, and he's coming off a 2022-23 season in which he averaged 9.6 points and 4.7 rebounds while shooting 48.5 percent from the field across 33 appearances since joining the Lakers via trade.
Oct 6, 2023
Vying for starting spot
Hachimura is competing with Jarred Vanderbilt and Taurean Prince for the Lakers' final starting spot, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Austin Reaves and D'Angelo Russell are locked into starting spots to begin 2023-24, but the Lakers are still trying to figure out who would complement that group the best. Vanderbilt, Prince and Hachimura all have different skill sets, so it'll be interesting to see how they're each deployed during preseason action. Hachimura has a higher offensive upside than Prince and Vanderbilt, but he's not as adept defensively.
Jun 30, 2023
Staying with Lakers
Hachimura agreed to a three-year, $51 million contract to remain with the Lakers on Friday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was a restricted free agent but the Lakers aren't going to waste any time. They clearly prioritized this agreement and it's safe to expect Hachimura to play a big role in their frontcourt. In 33 appearances for the Lakers last season, Hachimura averaged 9.6 points and 4.7 rebounds on 48.5 percent shooting from the field.
Jun 27, 2023
Qualifying offer extended
The Lakers extended a qualifying offer to Rui Hachimura Tuesday, ensuring he will become a restricted free agent, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The Lakers will now have the opportunity to match any offer to Hachimura this offseason. The 24-year-old forward will likely receive a sizable contract after averaging 12.2 points and 3.6 rebounds on 55.7/48.7/88.2 splits across 16 games in the 2022-23 playoffs.
May 22, 2023
Gets starting nod Monday
Hachimura is in the starting lineup for Monday's Game 4 against Denver, Chris Haynes of Turner Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura will replace D'Angelo Russell in the starting five Monday. Hachimura is averaging 12.3 points and 3.4 rebounds in 23.0 minutes across the first 15 games of the playoffs.
May 19, 2023
Scores 21 points off bench
Hachimura totaled 21 points (8-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 30 minutes during Thursday's 108-103 loss to Denver in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura went a perfect 7-for-7 from the field en route to a game-high 17 first-half points. Despite a lack of aggression in the second half, the fourth-year forward still finished one point shy of tying LeBron James and Austin Reaves for the team high in points and led all bench scorers from either team in scoring. Hachimura has proven capable of being a dynamic offensive threat off the bench in the playoffs thus far and is off to a hot start in the Western Conference Finals, posting 19.0 points per game while shooting 76.2 percent from the field.
May 17, 2023
Plays key role in Game 1 loss
Hachimura contributed 17 points (8-11 FG, 1-1 3Pt), one assist and one block across 28 minutes during Tuesday's 132-126 loss to the Nuggets in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura played an important role Tuesday, scoring an efficient 17 points, while also providing serviceable defense, matched up against Nikola Jokic at times. While this was an encouraging performance, we have seen Hachimura move up and down in the rotation throughout the playoffs, depending on the state of the game. He will likely get another shot at meaningful minutes in Game 2, but will need to perform adequately should he hope to maintain that role.
May 5, 2023
Scores 21 points off bench
Hachimura produced 21 points (8-14 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds and one steal in 22 minutes during Thursday's 127-100 loss to Golden State in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura went 4-for-4 from deep in the first half en route to 14 points and finished second on the team in scoring behind LeBron James (23). In a night that was overwhelmingly disappointing for the Lakers, Hachimura's performance was one of the few bright spots. He had failed to score in double figures in four consecutive games after posting 21.7 points through his first three playoff matchups against Memphis in Round 1, so Thursday's outing was definitely a nice bounce-back effort. The Lakers will likely need Hachimura to stay hot to avoid losing home-court advantage as the series shifts to Los Angeles for the next two games.
Apr 23, 2023
Contributes 16 points from bench
Hachimura closed Saturday's 111-101 victory over the Grizzlies in Game 3 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals with 16 points (6-10 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds and one steal over 22 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura continues to put up solid stat lines in relief. He came into Game 3 of this series averaging 24.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists over two contests against the Grizzles and averaged 31 minutes on the floor during that span.
Apr 20, 2023
Strong effort off bench
Hachimura posted 20 points (7-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 4-6 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal across 32 minutes during Wednesday's 103-93 loss to the Grizzlies in Game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.
ANALYSIS
For the second game in a row, Hachimura looked impressive off the bench and was one of the Lakers' top players despite the loss. He's scored at least 20 points in both playoff contests and should remain a reliable offensive threat ahead of Game 3 at home Saturday. To note, he's also scored at least 20 points in three of his last eight outings while reaching double-digit figures in his previous five appearances dating back to the regular season.
Apr 16, 2023
Scores game-high 29 points
Hachimura registered 29 points (11-14 FG, 5-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and one assist across 30 minutes during Sunday's 128-112 victory over the Grizzlies in Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.
ANALYSIS
In his first career playoff game, Hachimura came off the bench and got hot from deep in the second half. He finished with a team-high 29 points, his most since joining the Lakers.
Apr 5, 2023
Pops for 17 points off bench
Hachimura ended with 17 points (7-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT), six rebounds and one assist across 25 minutes during Tuesday's 135-133 overtime win over the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura led all bench scorers with 17 points and finished with at least six rebounds for a third straight contest. During that stretch, the fourth-year forward has averaged 13.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 1.3 blocks and 1.0 assists in 23.7 minutes per game.
Apr 3, 2023
Sneaky double-double Sunday
Hachimura posted 20 points (10-14 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 0-2 FT), 12 rebounds, one assist and three blocks in 25 minutes during Sunday's 134-109 win over Houston.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura quietly recorded just his second double-double of the season in the win and his first as a member of the Lakers. Given what we have seen from him since arriving in Los Angeles, managers should be viewing this as an outlier as opposed to what we can expect moving forward. The fact they were up against the Rockets should also be factored in when analyzing his performance.
Mar 23, 2023
Minimal production Wednesday
Hachimura accumulated zero points (0-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and two rebounds across 13 minutes during Wednesday's 122-111 win over Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura came off the bench for a third consecutive matchup Wednesday, and he was held scoreless for just the second time this season during the victory. The 25-year-old has operated as a reserve in 14 of his last 15 appearances and has averaged 8.4 points and 3.2 rebounds in 20.1 minutes per game during that time.
Mar 17, 2023
Moves to bench
Hachimura will return to the bench Friday against Dallas.
ANALYSIS
No surprises here with Anthony Davis (foot) back from a one-game absence. Hachimura failed to make the most of his opportunity Wednesday, scoring five points in 17 minutes.
Mar 15, 2023
Starting Wednesday
Hachimura will join the starting unit for Wednesday's game against the Rockets with Anthony Davis (rest) unavailable, Jovan Buha of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Joining Hachimura in the first unit for Wednesday's game will be D'Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, Troy Brown and Jarred Vanderbilt. Through eight starts with the Lakers this season, Rui has put in averages of 12.0 points, 6.6 rebounds and 0.9 triples per contest on 47.4 percent shooting from the field and 63 percent at the stripe.
Mar 6, 2023
Scores two points in 20 minutes
Hachimura registered two points (1-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt) and three rebounds across 20 minutes during Sunday's 113-105 win over Golden State.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was invisible in the win, scoring just two points to go with basically nothing else. Despite having a nice opportunity to contribute, he is yet to produce anything close to 12-team value. In fact, he is well outside the top 250 over the past month, averaging 8.3 points per game. At this point, he doesn't even deserve a roster spot in deeper formats.
Feb 16, 2023
Limited results off bench
Hachimura produced four points (2-6 FG, 0-4 3Pt) and four rebounds across 16 minutes during Wednesday's 120-102 victory over New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura came off the bench Wednesday after starting in the Lakers' previous eight games, and he didn't have much of an impact in the comfortable win. The 25-year-old was relatively successful as a starter with his new team, averaging 12.0 points and 6.6 rebounds in 28.3 minutes per game. It's not yet clear whether Hachimura will continue to come off the bench following the All-Star break, but his fantasy upside will be limited if he's in a reserve role on a consistent basis.
Feb 15, 2023
Coming off bench Wednesday
Hachimura will not start Wednesday's game against the Pelicans, Mike Trudell of Spectrum SportsNet reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura will join the reserves after starting the Lakers' last eight games. Over that stretch, he averaged 12.0 points and 6.6 rebounds across 28.4 minutes. It's unclear if Coach Darvin Ham is just testing a new lineup or if Hachimura will continue to come off the bench moving forward. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on his status following the break.
Feb 1, 2023
Pops for 19 in OT win
Hachimura finished with 19 points (8-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds and one block over 40 minutes during Tuesday's 129-123 overtime victory over the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
It was an encouraging outing for the former Wizard considering both LeBron James and Anthony Davis were back in the starting five. Hachimura figures to get bumped to the bench once Patrick Beverley (knee) is available too, although it's possible Troy Brown loses his starting spot instead. In four games since joining the Lakers, Hachimura is averaging 13.3 points, 5.8 boards and 1.0 threes in 28.5 minutes a night while shooting 52.5 percent from the floor.
Jan 30, 2023
Starting Monday
Hachimura will start in Monday's contest against the Nets, Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News reports.
ANALYSIS
The newly-acquired forward will make his first start in a Lakers' uniform with both LeBron James (ankle) and Anthony Davis (foot) ruled out. Across Hachimura's first two games with Los Angeles, the 24-year-old is averaging 9.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists across 23.0 minutes per game.
Jan 26, 2023
Contributes right away
Hachimura registered 12 points (4-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-6 FT), six rebounds, one assist and one steal over 22 minutes during Wednesday's 113-104 victory over San Antonio.
ANALYSIS
If Wednesday's win was any indication, we will be seeing a lot more from Hachimura as the season progresses. Not only did Hachimura distinguish himself under the basket, he offered a slash-and-shoot style that provided an added dimension to the offense. His arrival is bad news for fantasy managers who are riding Troy Brown for production, as it appears coach Darvin Ham is grooming Hachimura for a starting role.
Jan 25, 2023
Ready to go Wednesday
Hachimura (not injury related) will be available to play Wednesday against the Spurs, Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has completed his physical after being dealt to the Lakers on Monday, and head coach Darvin Ham stated after Tuesday's matchup that he'll be ready to roll Wednesday. The Gonzaga product averaged 11.3 points and 2.7 rebounds in his last seven matchups with Washington.
Jan 23, 2023
Won't debut Tuesday
Hachimura (not injury related) is listed out for Tuesday's game against the Clippers, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was dealt from the Wizards to the Lakers early in the day Monday, and he'll need more time to settle in before making his Los Angeles debut. His next chance to take the court will arrive Wednesday against the Spurs.
Jan 23, 2023
Heading to Los Angeles
The Wizards are finalizing a deal sending Hachimura (personal) to the Lakers in exchange for Kendrick Nunn and three second-round picks Monday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was linked to multiple teams via the trade market, but the Lakers and Wizards were ultimately able to reach an agreement. The 24-year-old will likely benefit from a change of scenery, as he's had a somewhat inconsistent role off the bench for Washington in recent weeks. He's averaging 13.0 points and 4.3 rebounds in 24.3 minutes per game this year. Hachimura didn't practice with the Wizards on Monday due to personal reasons, but his absence was likely related to the trade. Whether he's able to suit up in time for Tuesday's game against the Clippers remains to be seen, but he'll provide another frontcourt piece for the Lakers over the second half of the season.
Jan 23, 2023
Misses practice Monday
Head coach Wes Unseld said Hachimura missed Monday's practice due to personal reasons, Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington reports.
ANALYSIS
The reasoning behind Hachimura's absence is unclear, but it could be due to a potential trade, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. Given the missed practice, Hachimura can be considered questionable for Tuesday's matchup in Dallas, but his official status for that game remains unclear. More information will likely be available when Washington releases its next injury report, or a trade is made official. If Hachimura is ruled out or traded, the Wizards would be down two of their top frontcourt members moving forward, as Kristaps Porzingis (ankle) is considered week-to-week after leaving Saturday's win over the Magic early.
Jan 22, 2023
Steps up after Porzingis' early exit
Hachimura finished Saturday's 138-118 win over the Magic with 30 points (13-22 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds and two blocks in 30 minutes.
ANALYSIS
With Kristaps Porzingis (ankle) exiting early Saturday, Hachimura stepped into an expanded role in the frontcourt and came up big with his second 30-point outing of the season. A 32.2 percent usage rate along with better-than-usual efficiency played a big part in Hachimura's success, and even if Porzingis misses additional time, the fourth-year forward out of Gonzaga won't necessarily free reign to put up as many shots as he did Saturday while both Bradley Beal and Kyle Kuzma are healthy. The two rejections also don't seem replicable, given that Hachimura entered the contest with an average of 0.3 blocks per game for the season.
Jan 19, 2023
Held in check Wednesday
Hachimura notched zero points (0-7 FG, 0-6 3Pt), one rebound and one assist across 20 minutes during Wednesday's 116-105 victory over New York.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has been an inconsistent scorer recently, but he was held scoreless for the first time this season during Wednesday's win. He's been held below 10 points in four of his last six appearances and has averaged 8.2 points and 2.3 rebounds in 22.8 minutes per game during that time.
Jan 17, 2023
Productive off bench Monday
Hachimura accumulated 16 points (7-9 FG, 2-3 3Pt), one rebound and two assists across 26 minutes off the bench during Monday's 127-118 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
He was the only player on the Wizards bench to score in double digits. Hachimura hadn't scored more than 10 points in any of the four games prior as the 24-year-old forward continues to struggle with consistency, but in 10 games since Christmas he has managed to average 14.7 points, 3.3 boards, 1.2 assists and 1.2 threes across 25.2 minutes.
Jan 10, 2023
Incredibly inefficient night
Hachimura contributed nine points (4-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt), three rebounds, one assist and one block over 27 minutes during Monday's 132-112 loss to New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura led the Washington bench with 27 minutes but still only managed nine points and very little else. It's been an inconsistent season for the young forward and he just isn't reliable enough to count on for more than a streaming spot for points or rebounds on occasion.
Dec 29, 2022
Ties career scoring high
Hachimura totaled 30 points (11-13 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 7-8 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one block in 28 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 127-102 victory over the Suns.
ANALYSIS
With Bradley Beal out due to a hamstring injury, Hachimura stepped up to fill the void and tied his career high in scoring with an extremely efficient performance. The 24-year-old forward has regained his form quickly after missing more than a month due to an ankle injury, averaging 21.7 points on 65.8 percent shooting over the last three games, but his lack of consistent contributions in secondary categories still puts a cap on his fantasy value.
Dec 24, 2022
Efficient in victory
Hachimura accumulated 21 points (9-15 FG, 3-7 3Pt), five rebounds and four assists in 27 minutes during Friday's 125-111 victory over the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura attempted a season-high 15 field-goal attempts and scored his second-most points. The 24-year-old forward has received consistent playing time since returning from his ankle injury.
Dec 23, 2022
Plays 24 minutes in return
Hachimura provided seven points (3-4 FG, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, one assist and one steal across 24 minutes during Thursday's 120-112 loss to the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura returned to action Thursday after missing the previous five weeks due to an ankle injury. He assumed his typical role off the bench, logging what could also be seen as a typical amount of playing time. Prior to going down, his minutes were in the mid-20s, placing him well outside the realms of standard league relevance. Barring a major shift in philosophy, it is unlikely anything changes moving forward.
Dec 21, 2022
Set to return Thursday
Hachimura (ankle) is available for Thursday's matchup with the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura hasn't played since Nov. 18 due to a right ankle contusion. The 24-year-old forward will likely come off the bench Thursday, as he was averaging 11.6 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 23.5 minutes across 16 games before going down to injury.
Dec 18, 2022
Remains out, set to miss more time
Hachimura (ankle) is listed as out for Sunday's game against the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
According to Josh Robbins of The Athletic, Wizards head coach Wes Unseld Jr. said Tuesday that Hachimura has progressed to 1-on-1 work while he contends with a bone bruise in his right ankle, but a return to game action doesn't appear imminent just yet. Hachimura will need to advance to full-court, 5-on-5 participation in scrimmages during practice before the Wizards clear him to play, so expect him to remain out for Tuesday's game in Phoenix, if not the rest of Washington's road trip, which concludes Friday in Sacramento.
Dec 16, 2022
Still sidelined Saturday

ANALYSIS
Hachimura will miss at least a sixth consecutive game because of his ankle issue, and it's unclear exactly how close he is to retaking the floor. The fact that he hasn't been ruled out beyond Wednesday is at least a good sign, so it will be worth monitoring his status on the injury report for Friday's contest in Charlotte.

Hachimura (ankle) received a questionable designation for Friday's game versus the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura is one of three regulars, joining Bradley Beal (quad) and Monte Morris (ankle), who missed the last contest due to injury. Nov 20, 2022
Questionable for Sunday
Hachimura is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest against the Hornets due to right ankle soreness.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has been a new addition to Washington's injury report, and his potential absence would hurt the depth of a team that's already dealing with quite a few absences. Hachimura has been a steady contributor off the bench for Washington this season, averaging 11.6 points and 4.8 rebounds across 23.5 minutes per game.
Nov 19, 2022

The 23 points were a season-high for Hachimura after tying his previous season-high with 16 points in Dallas' last contest.
Nov 6, 2022
Turns in solid scoring night
Hachimura accumulated 15 points (7-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 0-1 FT) and three rebounds over 22 minutes during Sunday's 103-97 loss to Memphis.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura managed just two points and two boards in his team's last matchup Friday agains the Nets, but he responded to that performance in a positive way Sunday. Hachimura has now scored in double figures in eight of his first 10 games of the 2022-23 campaign.
Nov 2, 2022

It was his first double-double of the season and he's now averaging 5.8 boards per game. After making 44.7 percent of his three-point tries last season, he's just 4-for-16 in the early going this year.
Oct 30, 2022
Near double-double in loss
Hachimura had 13 points (5-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and one block across 22 minutes during Sunday's 112-94 loss to Boston.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura scored nine of his 13 points in the second quarter, going 4-for-5 from the field and hauling in three rebounds. He's come off the bench in all six contests this season and has scored at least 10 points in five straight. His nine rebounds and three assists were both his best marks of the season.
Oct 24, 2022
Strong output off bench
Hachimura registered 16 points (7-12 FG, 2-3 3Pt), three rebounds and one assist over 20 minutes during Sunday's 117-107 overtime loss to the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
For the first time in three games this season, Hachimura managed to outplay Kyle Kuzma and posted better numbers despite coming off the bench. The four-year pro has now scored in double digits in each of his last two contests while also showing efficiency -- he has made 50 percent of his shots from the field and from three-point range thus far.
Oct 15, 2022
Looks sharp in preseason finale
Hachimura boomed for 20 points (7-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), eight rebounds and two assists during the Wizards' 105-89 loss to the Knicks on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura co-led the Wizards with 30 minutes played, while logging a plus-14 in the box score despite the ugly outcome for Washington. The 24-year-old looked spry, completing multiple acrobatic finishes en route to his best scoring performance of the preseason. He'll look to carry momentum into Washington's season opener against Indiana on Wednesday.
Oct 11, 2022
Scores 15 points in win Monday
Hachimura totaled 15 points (6-12 Fg, 0-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT) and three rebounds in 25 minutes during Monday's win over Charlotte.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura came off the bench in the victory, a role that he is likely to maintain, at least to begin the season. While he can be a steady source of points, he offers very little in terms of across-the-board production. Until he can add some juice to his game, he should be viewed as a final-round consideration for anyone in need of points.
Oct 2, 2022
Double-double Sunday
Hachimura produced 11 points (4-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals in 26 minutes in a 104-95 loss Sunday against Golden State in a preseason contest in Japan.

He's averaging 12 points and 9.5 rebounds in 25.5 minutes in two preseason games while going 9-for-19 from the field. The 24-year-old missed the first 39 games of last season and came off the bench in 29 contests before starting the final 13 games of the season. He averaged 14.2 points and 5.1 rebounds as a starter but will have to compete against Kyle Kuzma, Deni Avdija and Will Barton for minutes on the wing this year.

Posts near double-double
Hachimura tallied 13 points (5-9 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 3-7 FT), nine rebounds and one steal in 25 minutes during Friday's preseason matchup with the Warriors in Japan.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura only played in 42 games last season for the Wizards, so this is an important season to prove he is part of the team's long-term plans. The 6-foot-8 forward led the team in scoring and rebounding. However, he will have to improve on his poor outside shooting if he wants to overtake Kyle Kuzma in the starting lineup.

ANALYSIS
Hachimura only played 42 games last season for the Wizards, so this is a crucial season to prove he is part of the team's long-term plans. The 6-foot-8 forward led the team in scoring and rebounding. However, he will have to improve on his outside shooting if he wants to overtake Kyle Kuzma in the starting lineup.

Leads team in loss
Hachimura recorded 21 points (9-19 FG, 1-4 3PT, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists and one steal in a 124-108 loss to Charlotte on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura reached 21 points for the second straight game including the fifth time in his last eight. The third-year forward has grabbed more than seven rebounds just twice this season but is shooting a career-best 49.2 percent from the field and 45.4 percent from deep.
Apr 9, 2022
Drops another 21
Hachimura put up 21 points (8-14 FG, 3-5 3PT, 2-4 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one block in the 114-92 loss to New York on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has scored exactly 21 points in four of his last seven games. While the rebounding numbers could be better, the third-year forward is in the midst of a solid scoring run.
Apr 5, 2022
Another 21-point outing
Hachimura chipped in 21 points (8-15 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-6 FT), five rebounds and four assists in 37 minutes during Tuesday's 132-114 win over the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
21 must be Hachimura's magic number, as the forward has now scored exactly 21 points in three of his past five performances. Since posting just three points against the Pacers on March 6, Hachimura has scored in double figures in all but two matchups, and he is averaging 12.8 points during that span.
Apr 2, 2022
Scores 21 again
Hachimura amassed 21 points (8-14 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal in 29 minutes during Friday's 135-103 victory over the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has now scored exactly a season-high 21 points in three of his past four games. After a slow start to the season, he's found himself in a starting role since March 19. During this stretch, he's averaged 14.0 points on 52/39/64 shooting, 5.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists. On the season as a whole, he's shooting an impressive 47.1 percent from deep.
Mar 30, 2022
Tops Wizards with 21 points
Hachimura provided 21 points (8-10 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT) and four rebounds across 31 minutes during Tuesday's 107-94 loss to the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura put up a season-high 21 points in the loss, scoring at least 20 points for just the second time this season. While the offensive production was nice, he once again failed to deliver meaningful contributions outside of the points column. Despite a consistent role, Hachimura should be viewed as nothing more than a streaming option for those in need of a points boost.
Mar 22, 2022
Fills in with 16 points
Hachimura contributed 16 points (7-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt), eight rebounds and two assists over 30 minutes during Monday's 115-97 loss to the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura started once again in place of Kyle Kuzma and came very close to a double-double. His eight rebounds matched a season-high for Hachimura, who continues to regain his footing after missing the first three months of the season. Hachimura is unlikely to make a return to the starting lineup without some help from the injury report, but his return has provided Washington with much-needed frontcourt depth.
Mar 19, 2022
Starting for Kuzma
Hachimura will start Saturday's game against the Lakers, Ava Wallace of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
With Kyle Kuzma (knee) scratched from the lineup due to right knee tendinitis, Hachimura will make his first start of the season. The 23-year-old is averaging 10.0 points and 3.2 rebounds across 19.7 minutes per game in his third year.
Mar 17, 2022
Extends scoring streak
Hachimura supplied 12 points (6-15 FG, 0-5 3Pt), seven rebounds, three assists and two steals over 27 minutes during Wednesday's 127-109 loss to the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has hit double-digit scoring in five straight games, despite Washington losing all five contests. Wednesday, Hachimura led Washington in shots and matched his season-high 27 minutes. His player efficiency rating of 15.77 places him slightly above league average across 28 appearances this campaign
Mar 10, 2022
Scores 18 in loss
Hachimura finished with 18 points (7-10 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one steal across 24 minutes during Wednesday's 115-109 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura finished as the team's second-leading scorer in the contest behind Kristaps Porzingis (19 points). Hachimura accomplished that feat on just 10 shot attempts, making all six from two-point range and going 1-for-4 from beyond the arc. The third-year forward is averaging 12.7 points, 2.3 boards, 0.9 steals and 1.9 three-pointers over his past seven games.
Mar 5, 2022
Prolific scorer off bench
Hachimura closed Friday's 117-114 loss to the Hawks with 19 points (7-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, one assist and one steal over 26 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura continued to play a bench role Friday, but he scored in double figures for the fourth time in the last five games during the narrow loss. Across his last nine appearances, he's scored in double figures in each of his outings in which he's played at least 20 points. During that time, he's averaged 12.2 points and 2.2 rebounds in 21.8 minutes per game.
Feb 27, 2022
Goes for 10 points off bench
Hachimura provided 10 points (4-8 FG, 2-2 3Pt), one rebound, one assist and one steal across 22 minutes during Saturday's 92-86 loss to the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
His final stat line didn't impress too much, but Hachimura looked productive off the bench in a game where the Wizards struggled badly on offense all season long. He continues to play off the bench and that role might not change any time soon, but he's adjusting well. The second-year forward is averaging 10.3 points per game across 10 appearances this month.
Feb 18, 2022
Fuels Washington victory
Hachimura provided 20 points (8-15 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, one assist and one steal across 27 minutes during Thursday's 117-103 victory over the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura scored 11 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter -- a frame that opened as a tie and concluded with the Wizards winning by 14. Hachimura will carry this season high in scoring and made field goals into the All-Star break. The Wizards play three games in five days beginning a week from Friday.
Feb 17, 2022
Available Thursday
Hachimura (ankle) will play Thursday against the Nets, Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was considered questionable after sitting out Wednesday's loss to the Pacers with a sprained right ankle, but he's good to go for the second half of the back-to-back set. The 24-year-old has averaged 9.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.2 steals in 21.0 minutes over his past five games.
Feb 17, 2022
Questionable Thursday
Hachimura (ankle) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura sat out Wednesday's loss to the Pacers but could return for the Wizards' final matchup before the All-Star break. If he sits out again, more minutes could be in store for Deni Avdija, Corey Kispert and Anthony Gill.
Feb 16, 2022
Won't play Wednesday
Hachimura (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's contest against the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura exited Monday's win over the Pistons with a right ankle sprain and was initially listed as questionable for Wednesday. However, after being limited during the team's morning shootaround, he's officially been ruled out. In his absence, Deni Avdija, Anthony Gill and Thomas Bryant are all candidates for increased roles.
Feb 16, 2022
Limited in shootaround
Hachimura (ankle), who is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game at Indiana, was a limited participant in shootaround, Kareem Copeland of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington may not provide another update on Hachimura's status until closer to the 7:30 p.m. ET opening tip, but based on his activity in shootaround, the third-year forward could be trending toward an absence. If that's the case, Deni Avdija and Anthony Gill could take on elevated roles as the top forwards available off the bench.
Feb 15, 2022
Questionable Wednesday
Hachimura (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura exited Monday's game against the Pistons due to an ankle sprain, and he'll have a chance to return in the Wizards' final two games before the All-Star break. While his workload has been significantly reduced compared to his first two seasons, he's shooting a career-high 43.2 percent from beyond the arc.
Feb 14, 2022
Exits with ankle injury
Hachiumura won't return to Monday's game against the Pistons after suffering a right ankle sprain, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura suffered the injury in the first half and was spotted making his way to the locker room immediately after. Deni Avdija and Thomas Bryant are candidates to see more run in Hachimura's place.
Feb 13, 2022
Goes for 13 off bench
Hachimura accumulated 13 points (5-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds and three steals across 22 minutes during Saturday's 123-110 loss to Sacramento.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura missed the first few months of the season but has been ramping up his activity of late and is gaining a bigger role of late, playing more than 20 minutes in each of his last four appearances. The fact that he's scored in double digits in each of his last three contests suggests his fantasy upside will only get bigger if he keeps seeing more minutes with the second unit.
Feb 7, 2022
Plays season-high 27 minutes
Hachimura chipped in 11 points (4-10 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one steal across 27 minutes during Monday's 121-100 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura wasn't anything to write home about, but the 23-year-old is taking baby steps in reacclimatizing to a role in Washington's rotation. Although it may feel long ago, Hachimura averaged 13.8 points on a 47.8 percent clip across 57 games last season. Hachimura's ramping up is worth monitoring, as he remains a pedigree prospect.
Jan 22, 2022
Strong output off bench
Hachimura totaled 11 points (5-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt) and eight rebounds in 20 minutes during Friday's 109-105 loss to the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has been playing off the bench this season but made the most of his minutes in this one. Despite the fact that he needed 12 shots just to score 11 points, he ended just two boards away from putting up a double-double off the bench and managed to leave his mark on both ends of the court. Hachimura is averaging just 8.1 points and 3.7 rebounds per game, but the fact that he's scored 10-plus points while grabbing five or more boards in each of his last three appearances is certainly encouraging.
Jan 20, 2022
Season-best performance
Hachimura closed with 14 points (5-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds and one block over 17 minutes during Wednesday's 119-118 loss to the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura co-led the Washington bench in scoring, while also recording a team-high plus-7 in the box score. Wednesday marked Hachimura's sixth game since returning from an extended absence. He has now scored double-digit points in back-to-back games as he continues to shake off rust.
Jan 11, 2022
Will remain on minute restriction
Coach Wes Unseld said Hachimura (conditioning) will remain limited to 15-16 minutes during Tuesday's contest against the Thunder, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura made his season debut Sunday and totaled six points and three rebounds in 14 minutes. He's expected to garner a similar role off the bench Wednesday.
Jan 9, 2022
Plays 14 minutes in debut
Hachimura ended Sunday's 102-100 victory over the Magic with six points (2-8 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-4 FT), three rebounds and one assist across 14 minutes.
ANALYSIS
After a lengthy personal absence, which included a stint in COVID protocols, to begin the season, Hachimura finally made his debut Sunday. The big man saw fairly limited action, as the Wizards will likely make an effort to bring him along slowly. Going forward, Hachimura will probably play off the bench behind Kyle Kuzma and Daniel Gafford. He did start all 57of his appearances a season ago, however.
Jan 9, 2022
On track to make season debut
Hachimura (conditioning) will be available to make his season debut Sunday against the Magic, Quinton Mayo of Audacy.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After missing all of training camp while tending to a personal matter and then requiring multiple weeks to get back in basketball shape while also briefly succumbing to a bout with COVID-19, Hachimura is finally ready to take the court for the first time in 2021-22. According to Mayo, the Wizards will ease Hachimura back into the mix with a bench role, and he'll presumably be limited to fewer than 20 minutes. Once Hachimura gets time to fully ramp up, he could push Kyle Kuzma for the starting job at power forward. Hachimura averaged 13.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.8 three-pointers in 31.5 minutes per game last season.
Jan 8, 2022
Questionable Sunday
Hachimura (conditioning) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has been working on his conditioning for a long time, and it seems like he's finally on the verge of returning. If he does play Sunday, he'll likely see limited minutes.

Out yet again Friday
Hachimura (conditioning) remains out Friday against Chicago.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura cleared protocols Wednesday but was held out of the night's game against Houston and will now miss another contest as he works on his conditioning. Hachimura, of course, is yet to appear in a game this season after his arrival to Washington D.C. was delayed due to a personal matter that extended into November.

Clears protocols, out Wednesday
Hachimura has cleared the league's health and safety protocols but won't play Wednesday against the Rockets, Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was one of several Wizards who cleared the league's COVID-19 protocols Wednesday, but he'll remain out yet again. He missed the start of the year for personal reasons but is nearing his season debut. His next chance to play will be Friday against Chicago.
Dec 28, 2021
Lands in COVID-19 protocols
Hachimura was placed in the league's health and safety protocols Tuesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was on the cusp of making his 2021-22 debut after a personal issue kept him away from the team for the start of the season. However, after his latest setback, the 2019 first-round pick likely won't see the court until the calendar flips to 2022.
Dec 27, 2021
Could debut Tuesday
Wizards head coach Wes Unseld Jr. said Hachimura (conditioning) will be available for Tuesday's game against the Heat, but it's "questionable" whether the 23-year-old actually plays, Ava Wallace of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Unseld still appears to be weighing the right scenario in which to work Hachimura into the mix while the third-year forward is the process of building up his conditioning after he was away from the team for an extended period of time to tend to a personal matter. Whether Hachimura debuts Monday or at a later date, expect him to receive light minutes off the bench, at least initially.
Dec 26, 2021
Will dress, not expected to play
Hachimura (rest) will dress for Sunday's game against the 76ers but is still not expected to play, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura is still working to build back up his conditioning after spending some time away from the team for personal reasons. He appears to be nearing a return, although it's unclear when he'll get the green light to actually play in a game. The Wizards will have three games during this upcoming week and it will be worth monitoring to see if the 22-year-old can make his season debut. Kyle Kuzma, Davis Bertans, Daniel Gafford and Montrezl Harrell should remain as the team's primary frontcourt options while Hachimura remains out.
Dec 25, 2021
Questionable, unlikely to play
Hachimura (conditioning) is questionable Sunday against the 76ers but is not expected to play, Neil Dalal of Hoop District reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura still needs to work on his conditioning. Even though he probably won't play Sunday, it seems that he's on the verge of a return.
Dec 23, 2021
Will dress, won't play
Hachimura will technically be available for Thursday's game against the Knicks, but he will not play, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear why the Wizards will have Hachimura dress if he's not truly available, but this looks to be a small step in the right direction as he appears to be nearing his debut. The third-year forward is yet to see any action this season due to a personal matter.
Dec 22, 2021
Conflicting info on availability
Coach Wes Unseld Jr. said Hachimura (conditioning) would not play Thursday against the Knicks, but the team's injury report has him listed as questionable, Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington reports.
ANALYSIS
There's conflicting information regarding Hachimura's availability for Thursday. More updates could arrive after the team's pregame activities. Fantasy managers in daily lineup leagues that are rostering Hachimura should pay extra attention to his status.
Dec 22, 2021
Will travel, won't play
Coach Wes Unseld said Wednesday that Hachimura (personal, conditioning) will travel with the Wizards to New York, but he won't play in Thursday's contest against the Knicks, Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has yet to play this season and still remains without a firm timetable for a return to NBA action, but he does appear to be close to stepping back on the court. Once he does, he'll be competing for minutes with Kyle Kuzma, Deni Avjija and Davis Bertans.
Dec 10, 2021
Will travel on road trip
Hachimura (personal, conditioning) will travel with the Wizards on the upcoming road trip with the hopes of participating in contact work and 5-on-5, Ava Wallace of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
This is a significant step in the right direction for the third-year forward, who has yet to play a game this season and missed all of training camp due to a personal matter. While Hachimura doesn't have a timetable for a return, it appears he's drawing quite close to stepping back on the court. Once he does, he'll be competing for minutes with Kyle Kuzma, Deni Avdija and Davis Bertans.
Dec 6, 2021
Could practice this week
Hachimura (personal) may be able to return to practice later in the week, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura remains without a firm timetable as he continues to miss time due to a personal matter, but over the weekend it was reported that he's still in "Phase 1" of his return-to-play plan. GM Tommy Sheppard indicated that the big man could begin practicing with the team later this week after it returns from its three-game road trip, which concludes Wednesday night at Detroit. If that's the case, Hachimura will likely need to log multiple full-contact practices before he's cleared to make his 2021-22 debut.
Dec 3, 2021
Could be out until January
Hachimura (personal) is still in "Phase 1" of his return to play and hasn't started 5-on-5 contact work, Wizards Insider Quinton Mayo reports. He may not return until the end of 2021 or January.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura's situation and progress have been kept relatively under wraps since it began before training camp. It sounds like his conditioning is a serious issue, and it's taking him a long time to get back into NBA shape.
Nov 30, 2021
Remains out Wednesday
Hachimura (personal) won't play Wednesday against the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura didn't travel with the Wizards on their four-game road trip, and he will remain out when they return home Wednesday. There is still no timetable for when he may be back on the court, although he has began practicing at team facilities, which is considered a good sign. His next chance to suit up will come Friday against the Cavaliers.
Nov 24, 2021
Doesn't travel with team
Hachimura (personal) didn't travel with the Wizards for their four-game road trip, Ava Wallace of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura participated in practice with the Wizards on Tuesday but doesn't yet have a timetable to return to game action. If he's held out through the road trip, his next chance to play would be Dec. 1 against Minnesota.
Nov 23, 2021
Present at practice Tuesday
Hachimura (personal) took part in Tuesday's practice, Ava Wallace of the Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura practiced with the Wizards' G League affiliate Monday, but he's since returned to the NBA club and went through Tuesday's session, which did not include any contact. It remains unclear when the forward will make his season debut, but the fact that he's back with the team on a daily basis looks to be a major step in the right direction.
Nov 22, 2021
Practicing with G League team
Hachimura was assigned to the Wizards' G League affiliate Monday to participate in practice, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The Wizards play host to the Hornets on Monday night, so with no practice on the schedule, Hachimura will join the Capital City GoGo to get some contact work in. It remains very much unclear when the forward will be re-integrated into the Wizards' rotation, but the fact that he's on the practice floor, and that he also participated in a shootaround over the weekend, is a significant step in the right direction. Hachimura is yet to play this season due to a personal matter.
Nov 20, 2021
Participates in shootaround
Hachimura (not injury related) participated in Saturday's morning shootaround, Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington reports.
ANALYSIS
Saturday marked the first time this season that Hachimura has been seen in person by Wizards media members. Reports earlier in the month suggested he could return in late November, but there's still nothing definitive. Given that he's only now starting to go through shootarounds, it wouldn't be surprising to see his absence extend into December.
Nov 8, 2021
Expected to return in two weeks
Hachimura (not injury related) has resumed team activities and is expected to be fully reintegrated over the next two weeks, Shams Charania of the Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura rejoined the team last Tuesday, but at that point, coach Wes Unseld wasn't prepared to set a timetable for his return to the court. Now, Charania reports that the Wizards will send the third-year pro through the proper ramp-up process before he returns to game action over the next two weeks. When Hachimura is able to play, it's unclear what his role will be. The Wizards are off to a 7-3 start, so they will likely ease the 6-foot-8 forward back into the lineup.
Nov 2, 2021
Back with team
Hachimura (not injury related) was back at the Wizards facility Tuesday, Washington Wizards insider Quinton Mayo reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has been away from the team after receiving an excused absence due to personal reasons in September. Coach Wes Unseld is still adamant that there is no timetable for the third-year pro to return to the court, but his presence at the team facility is a step in the right direction. Hachimura averaged 13.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game last season and was expected to be a core piece for the Wizards this season. However, the Wizards are off to a 5-2 start, so if he returns, he will likely be eased back into action.
Oct 29, 2021
Still not with team
Hachimura remains away from the team and will not play in Saturday's contest against the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has yet to play this season. Expect Kyle Kuzma to continue to draw starts during his absence.
Oct 28, 2021
Ruled out Thursday
Hachimura (conditioning) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was unavailable for the first four games of the regular season, and he'll remain sidelined Thursday. Kyle Kuzma should draw another start in his absence.
Oct 24, 2021
Out for two-game road swing
Hachimura (conditioning) won't be available for the Wizards' two-game road trip Monday in Brooklyn and Wednesday in Boston, Ava Wallace of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
After missing all of training camp and the preseason while tending to a personal matter, Hachimura will need further time to get himself back into game shape. He's already missed the Wizards' first two games of the regular season, and he'll add two more absences to his ledger this week while he remains in Washington to continue individual workouts. Since he has yet to even resume practicing with the team, Hachimura seems likely to miss additional time beyond the two-game road trip. independent Wizards reporter Quinton Mayo speculates that Hachimura might not be fully integrated until late November or early December, but the 23-year-old should be ready to play in some capacity well before then.
Oct 20, 2021
Ramping up workouts
Hachimura (conditioning) has started individual workouts against coaches with some contact but remains without a timetable for a season debut, Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura didn't join the team for the start of training camp due to a personal matter, and then he had to sit out due to COVID-19 protocols, so his conditioning isn't up to speed. It's not clear when he'll return, but it's a good sign that he's starting contact workouts. He's seen 30-plus minutes per game in each of his first two seasons, though he'll now be competing with Kyle Kuzma for minutes at forward.
Oct 17, 2021
Option picked up
The Wizards exercised Hachimura's (COVID-19 health and safety protocols) fourth-year team option for 2022-23 on Sunday, Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington reports.
ANALYSIS
Though Hachmiura is unlikely to be ready for the start of the regular season while he waits to clear COVID-19 protocols and regain conditioning after missing all of the preseason while tending to a personal matter, the Wizards still view the 23-year-old power forward as a cornerstone player. In his second season in 2020-21, Hachimura took a modest step forward statistically, averaging 13.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.8 three-pointers in 31.5 minutes per contest over 57 appearances. Once deemed ready to go, Hachimura will likely step into a starting role in the Washington frontcourt.
Oct 17, 2021
Looks doubtful for start of season
The Wizards haven't officially ruled Hachimura (COVID-19 health and safety protocols) out for Wednesday's season opener at Toronto, but his chances of suiting up and playing are "remote at best," David Aldridge of The Athletic reports. "I have no timetable, to be honest with you," head coach Wes Unseld Jr. said Thursday, when asked when Hachimura might make his 2021-22 debut. "I think it'll play itself out. We're going to be patient, to an extent. But when he's ready, we'll be ready."
ANALYSIS
Hachimura is fully healthy, but he'll need more time to get himself back in playing shape after missing all of training camp and the preseason while tending to a personal matter. Since reporting to Washington a few days ago, Hachimura has yet to rejoin the team for workouts while he awaits clearance of the NBA's health and safety protocols. The Wizards will likely turn to Kyle Kuzma, Deni Avdija and Davis Bertans to fill minutes in the frontcourt while Hachimura is out.
Oct 17, 2021
Out of protocol
Hachimura (COVID-19) cleared the Wizards' COVID-19 protocol Sunday and will start some individual work this week, Ava Wallace of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura missed all of preseason after he was away from the team for personal reasons and then took some additional time to clear COVID-19 protocol. The 23-year-old will need to get back into playing shape and integrate himself back into practice before he can even think about playing in a game.
Oct 14, 2021
No timetable for season debut
Hachimura (COVID-19 protocols) will be in protocols for "a few more days," and there's no definite timetable regarding when he might appear in a game, Ava Wallace of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
While Hachimura hasn't been definitively ruled out for Wednesday's season opener, coach Wes Unseld was using some relatively pessimistic language regarding the forward's return. Hachimura missed training camp and preseason while attending to a personal matter and is now in protocols after recently returning. He and Kyle Kuzma are presumably battling for the starting power forward spot, but Kuzma clearly has the advantage at this point.
Oct 5, 2021
Yet to report to camp
Hachimura (personal) is yet to report to training camp, Wizards insider Quinton Mayo reports.
ANALYSIS
The nature of Hachimura's absence remains unclear, as the Wizards have only revealed that he is not with the team due to "personal reasons." At this stage, it's safe to rule Hachimura out of Tuesday's preseason opener, and if he doesn't rejoin the team in the near future, it's very possible he could miss games to begin the regular season. Washington opens the season Wednesday, Oct. 20 at Toronto.
Sep 25, 2021
Out indefinitely, personal reasons
Hachimura is out indefinitely due to an excused absence for personal reasons, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Wizards' training camp begins Tuesday, so this is relatively short notice. The forward's status is certainly in question for the team's first preseason game Oct. 5 against the Rockets, and it's not clear if he'll be back for the start of the regular season Oct. 20 against the Raptors. If Hachimura's absence extends into the season, more minutes would become available for Deni Avdija and rookie Corey Kispert.
Jun 2, 2021
Scores 21 points in loss
Hachimura accumulated 21 points (8-13 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-5 FT), six rebounds and two assists in 42 minutes during Wednesday's 129-112 loss to the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
The 23-year-old posted his 15th straight double-digit scoring effort dating back to April 26 in Wednesday's series-clinching loss. Hachimura fared well in his first taste of playoff basketball, averaging 14.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 1.8 three-pointers on 62.1 field-goal shooting over five postseason games. The second-year forward will look to build on his sophomore averages of 13.8 points and 5.5 rebounds through 57 regular-season games heading into the 2021-2022 season.
Jun 1, 2021
Delivers double-double
Hachimura recorded 20 points (8-12 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 13 rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block across 42 minutes in Monday's Game 4 win over the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura had scored in double digits in every game of the series, but he delivered his best performance so far while also posting his first double-double since March 21, when he finished with 20 points and 10 boards in a loss at Brooklyn. Hachimura is averaging 13.3 points and 7.5 rebounds across 32.8 minutes per game during the current series against Philadelphia.
May 23, 2021
Scores 12 in Game 1
Hachimura had 12 points (5=8 FG, 2-2 3Pt) and five boards in Sunday's Game 1 loss to the Sixers.
ANALYSIS
It wasn't an overly remarkable night for the second-year forward, but he drilled a pair of three-pointers and saw 36 minutes as the primary option at power forward. Dating back to April 26, Hachimura has now scored in double figures in 12 of his last 13 contests.
May 21, 2021
Solid effort with 18 points
Hachimura posted 18 points (6-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds and two assists across 25 minutes in Thursday's 142.115 win over the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
After falling into foul trouble against the Celtics, Hachimura kept his hands to himself and only committed one foul in the blowout win. Although the Wizards have a host of capable big men, Hachimra has an advantage in that he doesn't have a timeshare with other players at the four, although the re-emergence of Chandler Hutchison could alter the scenario somewhat. Depending on how well the Sixers contain him, he's a reasonable candidate to be the team's third-best scorer in the first round of the playoffs.
May 13, 2021
Goes for 11 points
Hachimura scored 11 points (5-11 FG, 1-2 3Pt) with six rebounds and three assists in a 120-116 loss to the Hawks on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura had another solid offensive game, scoring in double figures for the eighth consecutive contest. Over that span, the forward has averaged 15.6 points (on 53.1 percent shooing from the field and 40.0 percent shooting from three) and 4.5 rebounds per game.
May 9, 2021
Logs 35 minutes in OT win
Hachimura compiled 13 points (6-13 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, an assist and a blocked shot across 35 minutes in Saturday's 133-132 OT win over the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Although a minute restriction was announced before Saturday's contest, Hachimura showed no ill effects from his recent illness, and he played a full complement of minutes. Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal are the heart and soul of this squad, and in contrast, the team's frontcourt has been notoriously weak all season. Hachimura has played only 52 games, but the team's front-line production ticks up significantly when the Gonzaga product is available.
May 8, 2021
Starting, on minutes limit
Hachimura (illness) will start Saturday's game against the Pacers but will be on a minutes restriction, Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington reports.
ANALYSIS
After a two-game absence, Hachimura will return to the lineup. He typically sees minutes in the high-20s to low-30s, so we shouldn't be surprised if he fails to reach that threshold Saturday.
May 7, 2021
Will play Saturday
Hachimura (illness) will play Saturday against the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
After a two-game absence due to an illness, Hachimura will presumably return to the starting five Saturday, which will push Anthony Gill to the bench. Over Hachimura's past five appearances, he's averaged 16.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 29.0 minutes.
May 6, 2021
Officially out on back-to-back
Hachimura (illness) will not play in Thursday's game against Toronto.
ANALYSIS
An illness kept the forward out of Wednesday's narrow loss to Milwaukee, and he'll miss at least one more game as Washington completes a back-to-back set. Anthony Gill filled in as the starting power forward Wednesday night while Davis Bertans saw a slightly increased role off the bench.
May 5, 2021
Will miss Thursday's contest
Hachimura (illness) is expected to miss Thursday's game against the Raptors, Ava Wallace of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura will miss both of the Wizard's back-to-back games Wednesday and Thursday as he deals with an undisclosed (non-COVID-19) illness. The forward has been an important part of his team's offense recently, so Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook will likely carry even more of the load offensively. Expect Davis Bertans and Chandler Hutchison to takeover Hachimura's playing time.
May 5, 2021
Out with illness
Hachimura is out Wednesday against the Bucks due to a non-COVID illness.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura is coming off a great 27-point performance Monday against the Pacers, but he picked up an illness afterward and will not play Wednesday. In his absence, more minutes should be available for Davis Bertans, Anthony Gill and Isaac Bonga.
May 3, 2021
Goes for 27 points in win
Hachimura ended with 27 points (12-19 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and one block in 31 minutes during Monday's 154-141 victory over Indiana.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura thrived in what was basically a track meet for both teams. His scoring continues to trend in the right direction and while that can be valuable, his lack of peripheral numbers typically puts a cap on his overall value. His role appears locked in at this point and so GMs should feel comfortable trotting him out there on a nightly basis as long as points are what you are looking for.
May 2, 2021
Goes for 18 points Saturday
Hachimura recorded 18 points (7-11 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-5 FT) and two rebounds across 29 minutes in Saturday's loss against the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura missed four games in late April but has looked good upon his return, posting four straight double-digit scoring efforts and hovering around the 30-minute mark on a regular basis. He's averaging just 11.0 points per game across his last 10 appearances, but he's trending in the right direction of late.
Apr 30, 2021
Minutes limit increased
Hachimura is having his minutes limit increased for Friday's contest against the Cavaliers, Fred Katz of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura played 32 minutes and 30 minutes, respectively, in his first two games back from a knee injury. He may see north of 35 minutes in Friday's contest if necessary.
Apr 26, 2021
Plays 32 minutes in OT loss
Hachimura had 13 points (5-7 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six boards, a steal and a block in Monday's overtime loss to the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Making his return from a four-game absence, Hachimura was said to have a minutes restriction, but it was apparently a soft one as he played 32 minutes with the game going into overtime. For the most part, Hachimura let Russell Westbrook (22 points, 14 assists, 13 rebounds) and Bradley Beal (45 points) do the heavy lifting, but the fact that he did not appear bothered by his knee is an encouraging sign for fantasy managers.
Apr 26, 2021
Will start, have minutes restricted
Hachimura will start Monday's game against the Spurs, but he'll face a minutes restriction, Ava Wallace of the Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear exactly how many minutes Hachimura will be cleared to play, but the Wizards will keep a close eye on his workload as he returns from a four-game absence due to a sore knee. Hachimura struggled prior to the injury, averaging just 6.8 points (33.3% FG) and 4.4 rebounds over his last five appearances (31.0 MPG).
Apr 26, 2021
Not on injury report
Hachimura (knee) is not on the injury report for Monday's game against the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Coming off of a four-game absence, Hachimura appears set to return to action as the Wizards finish out a Sunday/Monday back-to-back set. Hachimura had struggled prior to the injury, averaging just 6.8 points (33.3% FG) and 4.4 rebounds over his last five appearances (31.0 MPG).
Apr 24, 2021
Out Sunday
Hachimura (kneecap) is out Sunday against the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
The sophomore forward will sit out a fourth game in a row while dealing with left knee soreness. His next chance to play arrives Monday against the Spurs.
Apr 22, 2021
Out Friday
Hachimura (knee) is listed as out for Friday's game against the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura will miss his third game in a row while dealing with soreness in his left knee. Davis Bertans, Isaac Bonga and Jordan Bell could see increased workloads with Hachimura and Deni Avdija (ankle) out.
Apr 20, 2021
Out Wednesday
Hachimura (knee) did not practice Tuesday and won't play Wednesday against the Warriors, Ava Wallace of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura did not play Monday against Oklahoma City and he continues to be on the sidelines as he also missed Tuesday's practice due to left knee soreness. The 23-year-old's next chance to play will be Friday against the Thunder. Davis Bertans and Isaac Bonga could see increased minutes with Hachimura out.
Apr 18, 2021
Out Monday with sore knee
Hachimura (knee) will not play Monday against the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was involved in a knee-to-knee collision during Saturday's game against Detroit, so the hope is that he's simply dealing with a bruised kneecap. Either way, he'll be held out Monday with his next chance to play arriving Wednesday versus the Warriors.
Apr 17, 2021
Leaves with knee injury
Hachimura won't return to Saturday's game against the Pistons due to soreness in his left knee.
ANALYSIS
The 23-year-old suffered the injury during the second half and won't retake the court Saturday. Hachimura had six points (2-7 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), two rebounds, one steal and one block in 23 minutes before exiting the contest.
Apr 10, 2021
Paces Washington in scoring
Hachimura scored 22 points (9-16 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT) and corralled five rebounds Friday in a 110-107 victory over Golden State.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura started strong in the contest, posting 13 points in the first quarter -- more than he had totaled in either of his previous two full games. The sophomore forward quieted down thereafter but still led Washington in scoring for the contest. Hachimura has increased his fantasy appeal with per-game averages of 18.4 points and 7.3 rebounds over his past 12 games, though he recently missed a pair of contests with a shoulder injury.
Apr 8, 2021
Gets 30 minutes in return
Hachimura (shoulder) tallied nine points (3-9 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds, three steals and two assists across 30 minutes Wednesday in the Wizards' 131-116 win over the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Back in action after a two-game absence due to right shoulder soreness, Hachimura recaptured his starting role at power forward and received a normal minutes load. While he came away with his fewest points since March 12, Hachimura made up for it to some extent with the three steals -- a rare contribution for a player who had three steals combined over his last eight outings.
Apr 7, 2021
Cleared to return
Hachimura (shoulder) has been cleared to play in Wednesday's game against the Magic, Ava Wallace of the Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Following a two-game absence due to a shoulder issue, Hachimura will return to action as the Wizards continue their six-game road trip. It's not clear if Hachimura will return to the starting five, but prior to the injury he had averaged 34.9 minutes per game since the All-Star break. In that span Hachimura posted 17.8 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists.
Apr 6, 2021
Questionable Wednesday
Hachimura (shoulder) is questionable for Wednesday's contest against the Magic.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has been sidelined for two straight games due to right shoulder soreness. Davis Bertans has started in his place. If Hachimura is able to play Wednesday, he'll likely rejoin the starting five, where he's been great lately. Over his past 11 appearances, Hachimura has averaged 19.3 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 37.1 minutes.
Apr 5, 2021
Missing second straight game
The Wizards ruled Hachimura (shoulder) out for Monday's game against the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
After being scratched ahead of Saturday's 109-87 loss to the Mavericks, Hachimura will end up missing a second straight game due to right shoulder tightness. With the Wizards now three games behind the Bulls for the Eastern Conference's 10th seed (and final spot in the play-in tournament), the team could be inclined to take a cautious approach with Hachimura while he looks to move past the injury. Hachimura's availability for the Wizards' remaining three games of the week after Monday remains murky, so fantasy managers in shallower leagues may be better off using other options this week for their lineups.
Apr 3, 2021
Surprise scratch Saturday
Hachimura is out for Saturday's game against the Mavericks due to right shoulder tightness.
ANALYSIS
In a trend that's becoming all-too-familiar for DFS managers and those in daily-lineup leagues, Hachimura has been scratched without warning after he was confirmed to be in the starting five. In his absence, Chandler Hutchison and Isaac Bonga could see increased run.
Mar 30, 2021
Matches career-high with 30 points
Hachimura scored 30 points (12-25 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 5-5 FT) to go along with four rebounds and three assists across 40 minutes in Tuesday's loss to the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura led the Wizards in field-goal attempts and matched a previous career-high of 30 points in a game. He has taken a combined 49 shots from the field in his last two games and has also reached 40 minutes in three of his last six contests. Hachimura will clearly have a large role on the team to close the campaign, though he has yet to translate that opportunity into consistent production in any area of the box score other than points and rebounds.
Mar 30, 2021
Totals 26 points in victory
Hachimura scored 26 points (12-24 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go along with eight rebounds and three assists in a 132-124 victory over the Pacers on Monday.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura took advantage of an increased role on offense with Bradley Beal (hip) out of the lineup. The forward attempted the second-most shots on the team which also happened to be a season high. Hachimura has scored in double figures in 10 of his last 11 contests and is averaging 17.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per game over that stretch. Expect the second-year man to continue to see more opportunities on offense if Beal is to miss extended time.
Mar 27, 2021
Scores 14 points Saturday
Hachimura delivered 14 points (6-11 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and a steal across 35 minutes in Saturday's win over the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura continues to prove his worth as the Wizards' third-best offensive option -- he has now scored in double digits in eight games in a row while reaching the 20-point plateau four times during that stretch. The second-year forward is averaging 18.3 points per game in that eight-game span.
Mar 26, 2021
Sniffs double-double in loss
Hachimura recorded 21 points (9-16 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-4 FT), nine rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 41 minutes during Thursday's loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
The 23-year-old has now scored 20-plus points in five out of his last seven games. Hachimura has averaged 18.9 points and 8.6 rebounds while shooting 55 percent from the field during that seven-game stretch. While he doesn't provide consistent defensive stats, the second-year forward should continue scoring and rebounding at a high clip for fantasy managers the rest of the way.
Mar 22, 2021
Goes for 20 and 10
Hachimura had 20 points (9-11 FG, 2-2 3Pt) and 10 rebounds in Sunday's loss to the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura posted his second double-double since the All-Star break and scored in double figures for the fifth straight game. The Gonzaga product has been a strong points/rebounds contributor for much of the year, but he adds very little in terms of assists, blocks and steals.
Mar 18, 2021
Modest performance in win
Hachimura totaled 12 points (5-10 FG, 2-3 3Pt), and seven rebounds in 39 minutes Thursday during the win over the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has grabbed five or more boards in four consecutive games though his scoring output has dropped in four straight. Still, he is averaging 20.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals over that span while shooting 52.5 percent from the floor. Hachimura did see his consecutive games with a steal come to and end Thursday at four.
Mar 17, 2021
Steals keep coming
Hachimura scored 17 points (7-15 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT) to go along with nine rebounds and two steals across 38 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura couldn't continue his strong shooting from three-point range, as he went cold from deep. However, he tallied multiple steals for the third time in his last four games, after logging more than one steal only three times in his first 28 games this season. While this string of defensive performances hardly means Hachimura has turned a corner, adding consistent defensive contributions would go a long way to complementing his largely otherwise empty scoring skillset.
Mar 16, 2021
Hits career-high four triples
Hachimura registered 22 points (9-18 FG, 4-9 3Pt), seven rebounds, five assists and one steal in 36 minutes during Monday's 133-122 loss to the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
The 23-year-old has now posted three efficient games in a row. Coming out of the All-Star break, Hachimura is averaging 20.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 2.3 three-pointers and 2.0 steals over his past three games. The three-pointers and steals are nice considering he was only averaging 0.8 three-pointers and 0.7 steals over the first half of the season. Hachimura has always been a reliable scorer and rebounder, but he'll have a chance to prove his newfound three-point stroke and steals aren't a fluke when the Wizards host the Kings Wednesday.
Mar 14, 2021
Enjoys career night against Bucks
Hachimura finished with 29 points (11-18 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 11 rebounds, three steals and and one assist across 38 minutes Saturday in the Wizards' 125-119 loss to the Bucks.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura delivered season highs in points and rebounds, with both totals one of the career-best marks he set in both categories during his rookie season in 2019-20. The breakout performance was aided in large part by the absence of Bradley Beal (knee) and Davis Bertans (calf), which allowed Hachimura to step in as the No. 2 option on offense behind Russell Westbrook. Considering Hachimura had averaged 7.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.5 three-pointers in 25.7 minutes per game over his previous six outings, he shouldn't be viewed as a must-roster player in spite of his big outing against Milwaukee.
Mar 11, 2021
Scores 11 in loss
Hachimura scored 11 points (3-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT) with six rebounds in a 127-112 loss to the Grizzlies on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Despite shooting only 30 percent from the field, Hachimura was able to score in double figures thanks to four made free throws. The forward had failed to score double-digit points in his last four games before the All-Star break. Hachimura has taken a slight step back in his second season, averaging 12.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
Mar 3, 2021
Continues scoring in single-digits
Hachimura posted seven points (2-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-4 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal in 25 minutes during Tuesday's 125-111 loss to the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
After a 10-game streak of double-digit scoring (14.8 PPG), Hachimura has crashed over the past three games, scoring a combined 15 points on 6-of-21 shooting. This slump won't be easy to break out of Thursday, as the Wizards will play the title-contending Clippers.
Feb 25, 2021
Scores 20 in win over Denver
Hachimura had 20 points (9-16 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds and two assists in Thursday's win over the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura saw 38 minutes of action, as he continues to play a major role for the Wizards since returning from an injury absence at the end of January. He scored in double-figures for the 10th straight contest and hit at least one three-pointer for the fourth time in five games.
Feb 23, 2021
Puts up 15 and 6 in win
Hachimura had 15 points (6-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT), six rebounds and one steal in Monday's overtime win over the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
The Wizards erased a double-digit second-half deficit and Hachimura hit some key shots down the stretch to help Washington to its fifth straight victory. The second-year forward has now scored in double-digits in eight straight games, averaging 14.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals in that span.
Feb 21, 2021
Contributes 17 points in victory
Hachimura finished with 17 points (5-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 7-8 FT), seven rebounds and three steals in Saturday's win over Portland.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was on the court for 37 minutes and played a key role in helping Washington earn its fourth straight win. He has been coming on strong of late, posting per-game averages of 14.7 points, 6.6 boards and 1.3 steals over his past seven contests. Hachimura is shooting 46.2 percent from the field and 90.3 percent from the charity stripe over that span.
Feb 15, 2021
Just misses on double-double
Hachimura totaled 13 points (4-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 5-6 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and three steals over 37 minutes in Monday's win over the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Despite seeing the most time on the court, Hachimura finished fifth among scorers, one of whom was Davis Bertans, who came off the bench. While he wasn't lighting up the scoreboard, Hachimura has now scored in double figures in five straight games and eight of nine to start the month of February.
Feb 14, 2021
Solid effort in win
Hachimura scored 15 points (5-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 5-5 FT) while adding four rebounds, one assist and one steal in 22 minutes during Sunday's 104-91 win over the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
While it wasn't an overly impressive line, the second-year big was the second-leading scorer for the Wizards on the afternoon, although he was well back of Bradley Beal's 35. Hachimura has scored in double digits in four straight games and seven of the last eight, averaging 13.9 points, 6.0 boards, 1.6 assists and 1.0 threes to begin the month of February.
Feb 12, 2021
Plays 33 minutes in loss
Hachimura scored 10 points (4-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and added five rebounds over 33 minutes in the Wizards' 109-91 loss to the Knicks on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Only one Wizards player shot better than 50 percent in Friday's defeat and that was Alex Len, who attempted just seven shots. For Hachimura, his scoring has gone down in three straight games and he continues to struggle shooting the ball from distance. He's hitting on just 26.3 percent of his three-point attempts over his last his last six games.
Feb 10, 2021
Struggles from distance
Hachimura scored 15 points (6-14 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT) while adding seven rebounds, three assists and one steal during the loss to the Raptors on Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Since scoring a season-high 24 points on Feb. 2, Hachimura has scored 15 points or less four times in five games. He's also struggled to find his shot from deep, going 5-for-16 from distance in those games. While he's struggled shooting, he has contributed on the glass, pulling down an average of 6.8 boards per game in his last five games.
Feb 8, 2021
Double-doubles in win
Hachimura scored 19 points (7-13 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-5 FT) to go along with 10 rebounds across 36 minutes in Monday's win over the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura posted his second-best scoring night of the season, primarily converting well around the basket. He also rebounded the ball well to record his first double-double of the campaign. However, his contributions stopped there as he failed to contribute any assists or defensive stats. That falls in line with his season-long stat line, as he's managed only 2.0 assists, 0.4 steals and 0.1 blocks per game.
Feb 7, 2021
Hauls in six rebounds
Hachimura recorded five points (1-6 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and one steal over 23 minutes in Sunday's 119-97 loss to the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura had posted double figures on the scoreboard in each of the last three contests, but he failed to replicate the feat Sunday. He only shot 16.7 percent from the floor in the loss, but he contributed six boards, which ranked second on the team.
Feb 3, 2021
Comes close to double-double
Hachimura registered 11 points (3-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 5-9 FT), nine rebounds, five assists and a steal across 35 minutes in Wednesday's win over the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura ended just one rebound shy of what would've been his first double-double of the season, though the fact that he struggled from the field can't be overlooked. The second-year forward is making just has made three or fewer shots in three of his four games since returning from a three-game absence, and he needs to find a way to improve his shooting figures on a steady basis.
Feb 3, 2021
Scores season-high 24 points
Hachimura registered 24 points (10-12 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, an assist and a block across 34 minutes in Tuesday's loss against the Trail Blazers.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura ended as the Wizards' second-best scorer behind Bradley Beal, and in fact, this was his best scoring output of the campaign. Hachimura was coming off back-to-back nine-point performances since missing three games last month, and this performance should boost his confidence going forward.
Jan 29, 2021
Starting in return
Hachimura will start Friday's game against the Hawks, Fred Katz of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
After clearing health and safety protocols, Hachimura will be back in the starting five for his return. He won't play "full minutes," but we shouldn't be surprised if Hachimura sees time in the mid-20s.
Jan 28, 2021
Expected to return Friday
Hachimura (COVID-19 protocols) is off the injury report ahead of Friday's game against the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Due to health and safety protocols, Hachimura hasn't played since Jan. 11, but he should be able to return Friday. In 27.7 minutes per game this season, he's averaging 13.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 27.7 minutes.
Jan 27, 2021
Will remain out Wednesday
Hachimura (COVID-19 protocols) will remain out for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Washington will still be without several regulars Wednesday due to the league's health and safety protocols. Hachimura has not played since Jan. 11, and his next chance to return will come Friday against Atlanta.
Jan 25, 2021
Remains out Tuesday
Hachimura (COVID-19 protocols) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Washington returned from a nearly two-week hiatus Sunday against San Antonio, but Hachimura missed that contest and will be sidelined again Tuesday. Six other players are unavailable due to the COVID-19 protocols for the Wizards.
Jan 23, 2021
Out Sunday
Hachimura (COVID-19 protocols) is out Sunday against the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura will continue to be sidelined due to the league's health and safety protocols. Washington is expected to have between eight and 11 players available for Sunday's action.
Jan 20, 2021
Out Friday
Hachimura (COVID-19) won't play in Friday's game against Milwaukee.
ANALYSIS
The Wizards are currently plagued with COVID-19 related issues within their program and Hachimura just happens to be one of the players. The second-year forward may be able to return in time for Sunday's date with the Spurs. With Davis Bertans (COVID-19) out as well Friday, Isaac Bonga could likely garner a start.
Jan 18, 2021
Wednesday's game postponed
Hachimura and the Wizards will not play Wednesday against the Hornets after the game was postponed, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
It'll be the fifth consecutive postponement for Washington, which has not played a game since Jan. 11. As of now, the Wizards next scheduled game is Friday against Milwaukee.
Jan 15, 2021
Games Sunday, Monday postponed
Hachimura (COVID-19 protocols) and the Wizards have had the two-game series against the Cavaliers postponed Sunday and Monday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Washington does not have the needed eight available players for the matchup to take place. The next chance for the Wizards to play is Wednesday against the Hornets.
Jan 13, 2021
Matchup with Detroit postponed
Hachimura (COVID-19 protocols) and the Wizards won't play the Pistons on Friday since the game was postponed, Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
The Wizards won't have the required eight players available for Friday, leading to a second straight postponement. Washington's next chance to play will be Sunday against Cleveland, though it's unclear if Hachimura will be available due to the COVID-19 protocols.
Jan 12, 2021
Wednesday's game postponed
The game between the Wizards and the Jazz on Wednesday has been postponed, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The Wizards will not have the available eight players needed for the contest. Washington's next chance to play is Friday against the Pistons.
Jan 12, 2021
Questionable for Wednesday's game
Hachimura (COVID-19 protocols) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was added to injury report along with Moritz Wagner (COVID-19 protocols) for Washington and his status for Wednesday's game is now uncertain due to his placement into the league's health and safety protocols. The 22-year-old center has scored in double figures in six of seven games this season.
Jan 11, 2021
Just misses double-double in win
Hachimura scored 10 points (4-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-3 FT) while adding nine rebounds, three assists and a block in 28 minutes during Monday's 128-107 win over the Suns.
ANALYSIS
After not recording more than five boards in any of his first six games this season, Hachimura stepped up as a rebounder in the Wizards' first game without Thomas Bryant (knee) and nearly came away with his first double-double of the year. Robin Lopez was also surprisingly productive on the glass Monday, but the veteran center's utility as a floor-spacer could end up making Hachimura the more important player for Washington in the long run with regard to replacing Bryant's rebounding presence.
Jan 10, 2021
Leads team in shots
Hachimura had 17 points (8-18 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds and two assists in Saturday's 128-124 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura's 18 shots marked a season high for the 22-year-old sophomore. Bradley Beal, Russell Westbrook and Thomas Bryant's absences meant Hachimura was given the reins to Washington's offense. He will likely continue receiving these chances if all three players remain out.
Jan 8, 2021
Matches season-high with 17 points
Hachimura scored 17 points (7-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go with five rebounds, three assists and two steals across 37 minutes in a 116-107 loss to Boston on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has scored in double digits in four of his five appearances this season, providing impressive minutes as he's shot his best mark from deep at 50 percent from three. The forward exploded in the second half, scoring six of his field goals after halftime on eight attempts. Hachimura has gotten off to a slow start this season as he works back from an eye injury that's kept him out of the first four games of the year. The 22-year-old has provided consistent scoring in his return as he looks like a solid third scoring option in Washington.
Jan 7, 2021
Scores eight points in loss
Hachimura scored eight points (2-4 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT) while adding two rebounds across 24 minutes in Wednesday's loss at Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
The second-year forward enjoyed a strong start to the season with three straight double-digit scoring appearances, but he was unable to repeat that against one of the best teams in The Association thus far. Hachimura should remain in the starting five for Friday's game at Boston, but he clearly holds a secondary role in an offense led by Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal.
Dec 31, 2020
Strong in return
Hachimura scored 17 points (5-8 FG, 2-2 3PT, 5-8 FT) to go along with five rebounds, three assists and one steal across 25 minutes in Thursday's win against the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura played in his first regular-season contest, returning from an eye injury ahead of schedule. He wasn't among the usage leaders on the team, but did shoot efficiently from the field -- particularly from three-point range -- to turn in a strong effort. Hachimura should continue to see an uptick in minutes as he returns to game shape, as he came into Thursday's contest with roughly a 20-minute limit.
Dec 30, 2020
Set to return Thursday
Hachimura (eye) will return to action Thursday night against Chicago, Fred Katz of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was expected to miss the first few weeks of the regular season, but he's well ahead of schedule in his return from an eye issue that's kept him sidelined since the end of the preseason. Coach Scott Brooks said Hachimura will be back on the floor Thursday, and he'll likely see around 20 minutes.
Dec 29, 2020
Plays 3-on-3 Tuesday
Hachimura (eye) played 3-on-3 at Tuesday's practice, Fred Katz of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Scott Brooks said Hachimura is "getting close" to making his season debut, but it remains unclear when, exactly, that might come. Last week, it was reported that Hachimura would miss three weeks, but it's possible he could beat that timetable. Brooks said Hachimura may progress to 5-on-5 work Wednesday.
Dec 21, 2020
Expected to miss three weeks
Hachimura (eye) is expected to miss roughly the next three weeks, Fred Katz of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was held out of the team's final preseason game over the weekend, and we've since learned that he's dealing with a case of conjunctivitis. The three-week timetable will likely rule Hachimura out of the first 10 games of the season, which begins for Washington on Dec. 23 against the 76ers. Coach Scott Brooks said the team will likely take a by-committee approach to filling Hachimura's spot at power forward, but Davis Bertans, Deni Avdija, Troy Brown and Mo Wagner could all benefit.
Dec 18, 2020
Remains out due to eye
Hachimura (eye) is out for Saturday's preseason game against the Pistons, Ava Wallace of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura will miss the team's final preseason game as he is still being bothered by eye irritation. The 22-year-old's status Wednesday's regular season opener against the 76ers is in question at this point.
Dec 17, 2020
Out Thursday
Hachimura (eye) is out Thursday against the Pistons, Fred Katz of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The sophomore has been diagnosed with conjunctivitis, and he'll miss Washington's second-to-last preseason contest, with one more chance to play Saturday against the Pistons. The Wizards' regular-season opener is Wednesday against the 76ers.
Dec 17, 2020
Uncertain for Thursday
The Wizards list Hachimura (eye) as questionable for Thursday's preseason game against the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was unable to practice Wednesday due to the eye issue, so he may need to show some improvement in the Wizards' game-day shootaround or during pregame warmups in order to suit up Thursday. The Wizards have ruled out Davis Bertans (rest) for the exhibition, so Hachimura could pick up the bulk of the minutes at power forward if he gains clearance to play.
Dec 16, 2020
Held out of practice again
Hachimura (eye) was held out of Wednesday's practice, Fred Katz of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was held out of practice for a second straight day due to an eye issue. He should be considered questionable at best for Thursday's preseason game.
Dec 15, 2020
Held out of practice
Hachimura (eye) was held out of practice Tuesday due to an eye issue, Ava Wallace of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Scott Brooks said he didn't think the issue was serious, but he didn't want to chance contact for the 22-year-old during practice. Hachimura looked good during the Wizards preseason debut on Sunday, posting 18 points (7-16 FG, 3-4 3PT, 1-1 FT) and four rebounds across 23 minutes.
Aug 13, 2020
Out for finale
Hachimura (quad) is out for Thursday's finale against the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura's rookie season has come to an end, as he's sitting out the Wizards' final seeding game. He was about as productive inside the bubble as he was during the first portion of the regular season, and the forward will finish the campaign with averages of 13.5 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 30.1 minutes. Hachimura also finished with one 30-point performance, 10 performances with at least 20 points, and three double-doubles.
Aug 12, 2020
Stays hot against Bucks
Hachimura finished with 20 points (6-18 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five boards, and one assist in 29 minutes of a 126-113 loss to Milwaukee on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura kept his recent scoring run going with his third consecutive game in double figures. However, it came on a rather inefficient night for the rookie who shot less than 40 percent from the field for the fifth time in the last six games. He'll face the Celtics on Thursday.
Aug 8, 2020
Leads team in loss
Hachimura scored 23 points (10-16 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and added six rebounds and two assists in 38 minutes during Friday's 118-107 loss to the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
The point total tied Hachimura's third highest all year and was just his second double-digit scoring game since the restart. All told, the 22-year-old is averaging 13.4 points and 6.1 rebounds on the season. With Washington having little to play for at this point, the rookie should get ample opportunity to improve those numbers in the three games that remain.
Aug 1, 2020
Scores team-high 21 points
Hachimura produced 21 points (8-15 FG, 5-5 FT), eight rebounds, one assist and one steal in 30 minutes during Friday's 125-112 loss to Phoenix.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura continues to put up strong scoring numbers and appears to basically have the green light on offense. With no Bradley Beal (personal), Hachimura is one of the proven scoring options for the Wizards. Despite being just a rookie, he has demonstrated his offensive enthusiasm on many occasions and this should be able to transfer into mid-round value over the next two weeks of action.
Jul 27, 2020
Goes for 19 in scrimmage
Hachimura had 19 points (7-13 FG, 1-1 3PT, 4-4 FT) and three boards in Monday's scrimmage against the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
The rookie had another productive outing, leading the team in scoring in 28 minutes of action. Hachimura closed out the scrimmage portion of the Orlando restart with his third consecutive double-figure scoring game.
Jul 26, 2020
Puts up double-double in loss
Hachmura provided 15 points (6-17 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-5 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists and two steals across 27 minutes in Saturday's 105-100 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
The 2019 first-round pick was installed as the Day One starter this season and never relinquished that role, save the 23-game span where he was out with a groin injury. Over 41 games played, he averaged 13.4 points and six rebounds before the cessation of play, and he'll be called upon to serve a more substantial role as the team enters August without Bradley Beal (shoulder) and Davis Bertans (personal).
Jul 23, 2020
Shines during scrimmage
Hachimura generated 18 points (6-14 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 5-6 FT), nine rebounds and one assist across 26 minutes in Wednesday's 89-92 scrimmage loss to the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura led Washington in scoring and field goal attempts on Wednesday. During the Orlando restart, expect the Wizards to turn to the rookie for extra scoring, as Washington will be missing the services of team star Bradley Beal (shoulder). Prior to the season suspension, Hachimura averaged 13.4 points from 11.1 attempts per contest over 41 games for the Wizards. Those numbers will probably rise in Orlando.
Mar 4, 2020
Scores 20 points in loss
Hachimura recorded 20 points (6-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 7-8 FT), six rebounds, three assists and two steals in 30 minutes during Tuesday's 133-126 loss to Sacramento.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura cracked the 20-point mark for only the second time since early December. He did have an injury during that period which cost him a lengthy amount of time. However, since returning, he has added an element of consistency to his game. He has scored in double-digits in seven straight games, adding nine combined steals. Despite a couple of flaws in his overall production, Hachimura is worth considering in most formats given his assured role moving forward.
Mar 2, 2020
Goes for 15 points
Hachimura notched 15 points (4-8 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 6-7 FT), eight rebounds and one assist in 30 minutes during Sunday's 124-110 win at Golden State.
ANALYSIS
The rookie out of Gonzaga extended his double-digit scoring streak to six games, and he has scored at least 15 points in five of those contests. Hachimura has been very efficient as well, hitting 50.8 percent of his shots and 50.0 percent of his three-point attempts during that stretch.
Feb 29, 2020
Extends productive streak
Hachimura scored 15 points (6-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT) while adding seven rebounds and three steals in 32 minutes during Friday's 129-119 loss at Utah.
ANALYSIS
The rookie out of Gonzaga has established himself as Washington's second-best scoring option for the Wizards and extended his run of double-digit scoring performances to five games. Hachimura has scored 10 or more points in nine of his 10 outings since returning from injury and is averaging 13.9 points -- while shooting 51.4 percent from the field -- during that stretch.
Feb 27, 2020
Scores 17 against Brooklyn
Hachimura had 17 points (6-10 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 3-5 FT) and four rebounds in 27 minutes during Wednesday's 110-106 win over the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has reached double figures in scoring in four straight games following the All-Star break. Moreover, the rookie has scored in double digits 16 times through 18 appearances in January and February. He'll look to keep it rolling during Friday's matchup versus a Jazz team that's struggling of late but is still known for defending at a high level far more often than not.
Feb 24, 2020
Nears double-double
Hachimura registered 10 points (4-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, four assists and one steal in 28 minutes during Sunday's 126-117 loss against the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has scored in double figures in six of the seven games he's played following a lengthy absence, and the rookie out of Gonzaga has been scoring with efficiency as well. Through that seven-game stretch, Hachimura is averaging 13.6 points per game while shooting 52.1 percent from the field.
Feb 12, 2020
Drops 20 against Bulls
Hachimura scored 20 points (7-12 FG, 6-6 FT) while adding four rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks in 32 minutes during Tuesday's 126-114 win over the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
The rookie put together one of his best performances of the season, setting a new career high for combined steals and blocks in a game while scoring 20 or more for the first time since Dec. 5, although he missed most of the time in between with a groin injury. Hachimura is averaging 15.0 points, 7.3 boards, 1.3 assists and 1.0 steals in four games since returning to the lineup, and he'll likely need a big second half if the Wizards are going to continue their improbable push into playoff contention.
Feb 9, 2020
Double-doubles in loss
Hachimura contributed 12 points (5-13 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 11 rebounds and one assist in 25 minutes during Sunday's loss to the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
As one of only two Wizards to have scored in double figures by half-time (the other being Bradley Beal), Hachimura had 10 points, four boards and a triple through his first 11 minutes of play in this one, while also shooting 66.7 percent from the field in that span. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to find the net nearly as much in the second half. The 22-year old is producing a fringe standard-league level of fantasy value in 28.9 minutes per game, averaging 13.9 points and 6.1 boards on 48.5 percent shooting from the field, and 81.7 percent from the line, but the rookie doesn't offer much more outside of that.
Feb 8, 2020
Goes for 17 points
Hachimura registered 17 points (7-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, two steals and one assist in 29 minutes during Friday's 119-118 win over the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has looked impressive in his first two games since returning from a multi-week absence, and he has notched 28 points and 14 rebounds in his two starts since coming back. Given the lack of offensive weapons on the current Wizards roster, Hachimura should be one of the team's main scoring assets moving forward as long as he can remain healthy.

Nears double-double in return
Hachimura (groin) started at power forward and supplied 11 points (5-8 FG, 1-2 FT) and eight rebounds across 26 minutes Monday in the Wizards' 125-117 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
The Wizards welcomed both Hachimura and Moritz Wagner (ankle) back from multi-week absences, with the former being subjected to fewer restrictions with his playing time in his return. Hachimura could push up to around 30 minutes as soon as the Wizards' next contest Friday versus the Mavericks, but he's doesn't offer the most fantasy-friendly profile. He's averaging just 1.5 assists, 0.7 steals, 0.4 three-pointers and 0.1 blocks this season and isn't especially efficient (48.6 percent mark from the field) for a frontcourt player who doesn't shoot much from the outside.

Back in starting five
Hachimura will start Monday's game against the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
The rookie will make his long-awaited return from a groin injury, which has kept him on the sideline since mid-December. He'll be thrown directly back into the starting lineup Monday night, though he'll face a minutes limit that will cap his fantasy upside. Fred Katz of The Athletic notes that coach Scott Brooks said Hachimura likely won't get close to 20 minutes, so he's best avoided in DFS contests.
Feb 2, 2020
Not on report
Hachimura is not on the injury report ahead of Monday's game against the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura hasn't played since back in mid-December, but it looks as though he'll have a chance to get back on the floor Monday night. Given the long layoff, if Hachimura does play, he'll likely face a minutes limitation for at least a few games.

Not yet ready to return
Hachimura (groin) will not return to action for Saturday's game against the Nets, Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has been practicing fully for a week, but the Wizards want him to knock off a bit more rust before he returns, according to coach Scott Brooks. His return appears to be close, but for now, his absence will stretch to 23 games.
Jan 31, 2020
Will be on minute restriction
Hachimura (groin) will be kept around 15-to-20 minutes if he's cleared to play Saturday against Brooklyn, Fred Katz of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura reportedly has a "great chance" to return to action Saturday, and as expected, the team will monitor his minutes closely as he eases back into the swing of things. He hasn't taken the court since Dec. 16 due to a groin injury.

'Great chance' of playing Saturday
Hachimura (groin) has a "great chance" to make his return Saturday against the Nets, Candace Buckner of The Washington Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura has been sidelined since Dec. 18 with a groin contusion that later required surgery, but it seems like he'll finally step back on the court soon, possibly as soon as Saturday. More information should arrive in the coming days regarding his availability and if he'll be on a minutes restriction.
Jan 25, 2020
Goes through full practice Saturday
Hachimura (groin) was able to practice in full Saturday and could return as early as late next week according to coach Scott Brooks, Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura, who continues to build fitness through practice, appears to be on the verge of making a return. Thursday's game against Charlotte of Saturday's tilt with Brooklyn are both realistic possibilities for the rookie forward, who was averaging 13.9 points and 5.8 rebounds in 29.3 minutes per game prior to suffering the injury.
Jan 22, 2020
Cleared for 'all activities'
Hachimura (groin) has been cleared for "all activities" but has to get back into game shape before playing, Fred Katz of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
A groin injury has kept the rookie out since Dec. 18, but his return is on the horizon. He'll work his conditioning back up before taking the floor, and it's possible he'll be on a minutes limit during his first few games. Still, this is a great step for Hachimura, who is having a productive season. In 29.2 minutes per game, he's averaged 13.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists.
Jan 19, 2020
Progressing, but not practicing
Hachimura (groin) has been able to do some light work under the supervision of team trainers in recent days, but he has yet to receive clearance to practice, Chris Miller of NBC Sports Washington reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Fred Katz of The Athletic, Hachimura has been able to do some light shooting without jumping as of Tuesday, and while it sounds as though the rookie might have been able to do some more since then, he's still realistically at least a few weeks away from playing again. According to Candace Buckner of The Washington Post, coach Scott Brooks suggested Friday that he wasn't certain if Hachimura would be back until February, so the forward would likely need to resume practicing by late next week to keep hope alive for a January return. Hachimura hasn't played since Dec. 16 due to a groin contusion that later necessitated a procedure.
Jan 4, 2020
Re-evaluated in two weeks
Hachimura (groin) will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
ANALYSIS
A groin issue has kept Hachimura out since mid-December, causing him to miss nine games so far and eventually requiring a surgical procedure. His target return date won't become clear until after the re-evaluation is complete.
Dec 31, 2019
Out several more weeks
Coach Scott Brooks said Tuesday that Hachimura (groin) will remain out several more weeks after recently undergoing surgery, Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura hasn't played since Dec. 16 with what was initially deemed to be a groin contusion, but the fact that he required surgery suggests the issue was more severe than the Wizards anticipated. With Hachimura now unlikely to be ready to play again until late January at the earliest, he'll miss out on the opportunity to handle a more pronounced role on offense while Davis Bertans (quadriceps), Thomas Bryant (foot) and Moritz Wagner (ankle) are all sidelined. At this stage, all three of those players appear likely to return to action before Hachimura does.
Dec 28, 2019
Likely won't play next week
Hachimura (groin) is not expected to play next week, Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington reports.
ANALYSIS
A bruised groin continues to keep Hachimura on the shelf, and the rookie could miss three to five contests. More information on his timetable for a return should emerge as he completes various milestones in his recovery.
Dec 27, 2019
Remains out Saturday
Hachimura (groin) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Knicks and will be reevaluated this weekend, Fred Katz of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was originally ruled out for five games when he first suffered the groin contusion Dec. 16, but that absence will extend to six contests Saturday. Admiral Schofield should continue seeing an expanded role in the frontcourt since Davis Bertans (quadriceps), Moritz Wagner (ankle) and Thomas Bryant (foot) are also out with injury.
Dec 17, 2019
Will miss at least five games
Hachimura (groin) has been ruled out for the next five games and will be re-evaluated when Washington returns from it's road trip Dec. 26.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura suffered the injury during Monday night's matchup against the Pistons, and it'll cost him at least the next five matchups. Davis Bertans started the second half of Monday's clash and figures to fill in while Hachimura returns to health.
Sep 26, 2019
Recovered from knee injury
Hachimura (knee) is back at full strength after missing the end of the FIBA World Cup, Chase Hughes of NBC Sports Washington reports.
ANALYSIS
Hachimura was held out of Team Japan's final two games in the World Cup due to a sore knee and general fatigue, but according to Wizards' GM Tommy Sheppard, Hachimura played 90 minutes of pickup ball Wednesday and "did not leave the court." The knee ailment was never believed to be anything serious, but this is nonetheless a positive indication as training camp approaches. The No. 9 overall pick could step into a significant role right away for a shallow Washington team.
