To be re-evaluated in 2-4 weeks
Henderson (hamstring) will be re-evaluated in 2-4 weeks.
ANALYSIS
Henderson tore a tendon in his left hamstring back in September, and while he continues to make progress in his recovery, he still doesn't appear to be close. Henderson can safely remain on the waiver wire in re-draft formats.
Nov 19, 2025
Considered week-to-week
Henderson (hamstring) has been limited to stationary shooting and dribbling and is considered week-to-week moving forward, Jason Quick of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson tore his left hamstring in September and doesn't appear close to making his season debut. The third-year point guard also said he has yet to progress to jumping and will presumably have several more steps to clear in his rehab before being cleared to resume contact drills. Until Henderson can return, Caleb Love, Rayan Rupert and Sidy Cissoko are candidates for increased minutes in the backcourt behind Jrue Holiday (calf) and Shaedon Sharpe.
Nov 17, 2025
Out again Tuesday
Henderson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Suns.
ANALYSIS

Won't play Wednesday
Henderson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans.

Remaining out vs. Orlando
Henderson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Magic.

Oct 21, 2025
Team option picked up
The Trail Blazers picked up Henderson's (hamstring) team option for 2026-27 on Tuesday, Joe Freeman of The Oregonian reports.
ANALYSIS
This was a mere formality for the Trail Blazers. This was the fourth-year option on Henderon's deal. The point guard is currently sidelined by a torn hamstring and isn't expected to play until early-to-mid November.
Sep 26, 2025
Suffers torn hamstring
The Trail Blazers announced Friday that Henderson will resume basketball activities in four-to-eight weeks after suffering a torn left hamstring, Marc J. Spears of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson sustained the injury during an offseason workout, and the timeline for a return will likely sideline him for the start of the upcoming season. With Henderson on the shelf, Portland will likely lean on Jrue Holiday and Shaedon Sharpe in the backcourt. A clearer path to minutes in the early going should exist for Rayan Rupert as well.
Apr 13, 2025
Out for final game of season
Henderson (concussion) is out for Sunday's game against the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
A concussion will keep Henderson on the sidelines for the final game of the 2024-25 season. The second-year guard showed some flashes of brilliance throughout the campaign, but his fantasy upside was often limited by his role in the rotation. He ends the campaign with averages of 12.7 points and 5.1 assists per game, and aside from a slight regression compared to his rookie year, he also started in only 10 of his 66 regular-season appearances.
Apr 10, 2025
Unavailable Friday
Henderson (concussion) is out for Friday's game against Golden State.
ANALYSIS
Henderson hasn't suited up since March 27 while in the league's concussion protocol. He'll have one final opportunity to play during the regular-season finale Sunday against the Lakers.
Apr 8, 2025
Remaining out for Wednesday
Henderson (concussion) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Henderson will miss his sixth consecutive contest while going through the league's concussion protocol. The second-year guard's next chance to suit up will come Friday against Golden State, which is Portland's penultimate game of the season.
Apr 5, 2025
Remains out for Sunday
Henderson (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Henderson will miss a fifth straight game for the Trail Blazers due to a concussion. The second-year guard's next opportunity to get back on the floor for Portland will be Wednesday against the Jazz.
Apr 4, 2025
Ruled out for Friday
Henderson (concussion) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Henderson is set to miss his fourth consecutive game due to a concussion. In his absence, Dalano Banton has taken on a larger role in the backcourt, which is expected to continue with Henderson still out and Anfernee Simons (forearm) listed as questionable.
Apr 2, 2025
Won't play vs. Toronto
Henderson (concussion) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Henderson will miss a third straight game for the Trail Blazers due to a concussion. Portland will likely continue to lean on Dalano Banton to help shoulder the load in the backcourt off the bench until the former first-round pick returns.
Mar 31, 2025
Ruled out for Tuesday
Henderson (concussion) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Henderson will miss a second straight game due to a concussion he presumably suffered during last Thursday's loss in Sacramento. The backup point guard finished that contest with six points (2-8 FG) and six assists in 24 minutes off the bench. In his absence, Dalano Banton and Matisse Thybulle are candidates for increased playing time.
Mar 29, 2025
Ruled out for Sunday
Henderson (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Henderson is currently in concussion protocol and not ready to return for Portland. The Trail Blazers will likely turn to Dalano Banton, Shaedon Sharpe and Ryan Rupert on Sunday to help pick up the slack off the bench in the backcourt in New York.
Mar 26, 2025
Strong showing in loss
Henderson posted 18 points (6-12 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds and six assists in 30 minutes during Tuesday's 122-111 loss to the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
Henderson has had a pretty tough month overall, but Tuesday's game was a step in the right direction. Over his last 13 games, Henderson has shot 37.6 percent from the field to go with averages of 13.3 points, 4.2 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.7 three-pointers in 37.6 minutes per game.
Mar 21, 2025
Will start vs. Denver
Henderson is in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Henderson will move to the starting lineup due to the absence of Anfernee Simons (illness). Henderson is coming off a subpar performance in the win over the Grizzlies on March 19, but other than that, he's been playing well of late. He's averaging 13.5 points, 4.0 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game across 10 appearances off the bench this month.
Mar 20, 2025
Struggles with efficiency
Henderson produced five points (2-10 FG, 1-7 3Pt), three rebounds and five assists across 20 minutes during Wednesday's 115-99 victory over the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Henderson has now failed to score double-digit points in each of his last three contests. The second-year guard's 20 minutes of action against Memphis were his fewest since Feb. 22. Henderson has struggled mightily with his efficiency as of late, shooting just 38.1 percent from the field and 30.6 percent from three across his last 10 outings.
Mar 17, 2025
Falls flat Sunday
Henderson supplied five points (2-12 FG, 1-5 3Pt), five rebounds, five assists and one steal across 30 minutes during Sunday's 105-102 victory over Toronto.
ANALYSIS
After scoring 30 points (10-16 FG, 4-4 3Pt, 6-10 FT) against the Knicks on Wednesday, Henderson came crashing back to Earth with a horrible shooting performance Sunday. While the second-year guard remains too inconsistent to trust in fantasy, he's in the midst of a solid stretch. Since the All-Star break (13 games), Henderson has averaged 14.5 points, 4.5 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 28.3 minutes a night off the bench.
Mar 13, 2025
Huge night from second unit
Henderson registered 30 points (10-16 FG, 4-4 3Pt, 6-10 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one steal over 37 minutes off the bench during Wednesday's 114-113 overtime loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
The 30 points represented Henderson's best scoring performance since he rained 39 down on the Nets on Jan. 14. The third overall pick in the 2023 Draft has developed a little more consistency of late, scoring in double digits in 11 of the last 12 games and averaging 15.3 points, 4.4 assists, 3.0 boards, 2.1 threes and 1.0 steals over that span, but he's still a long way from living up to his pedigree.
Mar 8, 2025
Leads team with 22 points
Henderson supplied 22 points (8-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-5 FT), four rebounds and three assists across 25 minutes during Friday's 107-89 loss to the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Although Henderson is unlikely to supplant Anfernee Simons this season, the youngster is clearly Portland's point guard of the future. He was forced into a starting role for 36 games last season, and his numbers have dipped due to a reduced role with the second unit during the 2024-25 season. With Portland's playoff hopes all but eliminated, it would not be surprising to see Henderson take on an expanded role down the stretch.
Mar 5, 2025
Serviceable performance Wednesday
Henderson posted 13 points (4-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-5 FT), two rebounds, four assists and one steal in 26 minutes before fouling out of Wednesday's 128-118 loss to the Celtics.
ANALYSIS
Henderson continues to put up modest production, failing to make the most of his time on the floor. In eight games over the past two weeks, Henderson is averaging 13.1 points, 5.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.1 three-pointers, shooting 40.4 percent from the floor and 69.6 percent from the line. While his role could increase should the Trail Blazers opt to lean more into their youth, Henderson has a few rungs to climb before he can be considered a positive NBA contributor.
Mar 2, 2025
Provides spark off bench in OT loss
Henderson amassed 15 points (5-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 2-4 FT), four rebounds, six assists and one steal across 33 minutes during Sunday's 133-129 overtime loss to Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
Henderson provided a nice spark off the Portland bench Sunday, leading all second unit players in scoring, threes made and assists in an offensives showcase. Henderson has connected on three or more threes in 12 outings, nine of which have come off the bench. He has connected on three or more threes in four of his last five appearances.
Feb 28, 2025
Game-high nine assists Friday
Henderson totaled 12 points (4-9 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, nine assists, one block and three steals in 27 minutes during Friday's 121-102 win over the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Henderson supplied a full stat line Friday, also reaching double figures in scoring in his fifth straight game. Over his last eight contests, the 2023 lottery pick has averaged 11.6 points, 5.0 assists, 2.1 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 2.1 three-pointers in 25.7 minutes. Turnovers could remain an issue for the second year-guard, however, and Henderson's overall fantasy upside will remain capped while he consistently functions from Portland's second unit as long as Anfernee Simons is healthy.
Feb 21, 2025
Shooting woes in return Thursday
Henderson (ankle) finished Thursday's 110-102 loss to the Lakers with 12 points (4-13 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five assists, two rebounds and two steals across 30 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Henderson made his return to the hardwood after missing the club's final outing before the All-Star break due to a right ankle sprain. The second-year pro saw significant run off the bench during his return, though he struggled from the field in the loss. Henderson continues to serve as a key contributor for Portland off the bench, and he has averaged 13.8 points, 5.3 assists, 3.3 rebounds, 2.1 three-pointers and 1.4 steals in 26.6 minutes per contest over his last 10 outings (two starts).
Feb 20, 2025
Getting green light
Henderson (ankle) has been cleared to play Thursday night against the Lakers, Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson sat out of his team's last matchup Feb. 12 against Denver due to an ankle sprain, but he'll be available off the bench in this one. He's averaging 12.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.6 steals in his last five appearances as a reserve.
Feb 19, 2025
Questionable for Thursday
Henderson (ankle) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Henderson missed the Trail Blazers' last game before the All-Star break due to an ankle sprain, and it seems the second-year guard has yet to recover completely from the injury. Henderson is averaging 11.3 points, 2.8 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game since the beginning of February.
Feb 11, 2025
Dealing with ankle sprain
Henderson has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets due to a right ankle sprain.
ANALYSIS
Henderson exited Monday's loss to the Nuggets with what has now been diagnosed as a right ankle sprain. The second-year point guard's next chance to play will come after the All-Star break against the Lakers on Feb. 20. With Henderson sidelined, Dalano Banton and Shaedon Sharpe are candidates for an uptick in playing time.
Feb 10, 2025
Exits with ankle injury
Henderson won't return to Monday's game against the Nuggets due to a right ankle injury. He totaled six points (2-5 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds and three assists in 25 minutes before leaving.
ANALYSIS
Henderson didn't do much with another chance in the starting lineup, and his night got even worse when he departed with an ankle issue. The Blazers will likely re-evaluate the injury in the morning to determine his availability for Wednesday's game in Denver.
Feb 10, 2025
Returning to starting role
Henderson will start Monday's game against the Nuggets, Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland reports.
ANALYSIS
The Blazers will be without Jerami Grant (knee), so Henderson will take his place in the lineup and will run the offense. Henderson has made eight starts this season, averaging 17.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 1.3 steals per contest in that span.
Feb 8, 2025
Good to go
Henderson (ankle) is available for Saturday's game against the Timberwolves, Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson has shaken off a questionable tag and will suit up for a 30th straight game. Over his last seven appearances (one start), he's averaged 15.4 points, 6.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.4 steals in 26.5 minutes per game.
Feb 7, 2025
Iffy for Saturday
Henderson (ankle) is questionable for Saturday's game against Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Henderson is in danger of missing his first contest since Dec. 6 due to right ankle soreness. If the second-year pro is sidelined, Shaedon Sharpe and Dalano Banton could see a bump in minutes. Over his last five outings (one start), Henderson has averaged 14.6 points, 7.0 assists, 3.8 rebounds, 2.0 three-pointers and 1.6 steals across 25.6 minutes per game. He has shot 43.5 percent from beyond the arc in that five-game span.
Feb 5, 2025
Pulls down eight boards
Henderson closed with 17 points (7-13 FG, 3-5 3Pt), eight rebounds, five assists and one steal across 28 minutes during Tuesday's 112-89 win over the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Henderson matched his career-best mark of eight rebounds as the Trail Blazers continued their hot streak -- the team has won nine of their last 10 games. During that stretch, Henderson has been a ninth-round value in nine-category formats with 14.5 points, 5.6 assists, 3.7 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 2.0 three-pointers.
Jan 31, 2025
Shines in starting role
Henderson registered 23 points (7-16 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 6-6 FT), five rebounds, seven assists and two steals across 32 minutes during Thursday's 119-90 victory over Orlando.
ANALYSIS
Henderson returned to the starting lineup due to the absence of Jerami Grant (ankle) and delivered an impressive stat line, evidencing a sizable improvement compared to the growing pains he endured in his rookie year. The second-year guard is averaging 14.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game across 16 appearances in January, including five starts.
Jan 30, 2025
Returning to starting five
Henderson is starting Thursday's game against the Magic, Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson will slot in as the starting point guard Thursday, bumping Anfernee Simons to shooting guard, Toumani Camara to small forward and Deni Avdija to power forward due to the absence of Jerami Grant (ankle). Henderson has shown serious firepower when given chances to start this season, as evidenced by his 39-point outing in a start Jan. 14 against the Nets.
Jan 26, 2025
Strong from deep off bench in loss
Henderson provided 25 points (7-17 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 6-6 FT), five rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal in 30 minutes during Sunday's 118-108 loss to the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Henderson did all he could to try and boost Portland in Sunday's contest, connecting on a team-high-tying mark from deep while leading all bench players in scoring and finishing as one of three Portland players with 20 or more points. Henderson connected on five or more threes in two outings this season, his other taking place Jan. 14 when he buried eight triples. Henderson has now recorded 25 or more points in three contests, all of which have taken place over the last eight games.
Jan 23, 2025
Slides back to bench Thursday
Henderson will come off the bench in Thursday's game against the Magic.
ANALYSIS
The second-year pro will retreat to the bench after starting in the club's last two outings with Anfernee Simons and Toumani Camara both missing a matchup. Henderson has started in four of the Trail Blazers' last five outings, during which he has averaged 22.4 points, 7.8 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 34.8 minutes per contest.
Jan 20, 2025
Comes close to triple-double
Henderson racked up 25 points (8-15 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 6-8 FT), seven rebounds, eight assists and two steals over 38 minutes during Sunday's 113-102 victory over the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Henderson moved to the starting lineup for this contest due to the absence of Anfernee Simons (elbow), and the second-year guard extended his impressive stretch of play. Since going scoreless in a loss to the Pistons on Jan. 7, Henderson has scored at least 20 points in four of his last seven contests, averaging 19.6 points, 6.1 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.3 steals per contest.
Jan 19, 2025
Will start Sunday
Henderson is in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Bulls, Danny Marang of 1080 The Fan Portland reports.
ANALYSIS
The Blazers won't have Anfernee Simons (elbow) available Sunday, so Henderson will return to the starting lineup as his replacement at point guard. Henderson has made five starts this season, averaging 16.2 points, 7.0 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game in those contests.
Jan 19, 2025
Logs team-high 21 points from bench
Henderson registered 21 points (6-11 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 6-6 FT), five rebounds, 11 assists, three blocks and one steal in 31 minutes during Saturday's 125-103 loss to Houston.
ANALYSIS
During a rare night of tepid totals from Portland's backcourt, Henderson stepped in and provided a much-needed spark to the offense. The 2023 first-round pick logged his second double-double of the season in the loss, and the youngster is excelling in a sixth-man role. It's only a matter of time before Henderson becomes a full-time starter, but barring a trade deadline move or a significant injury, he's unlikely to assume the role this season.
Jan 18, 2025
Back to bench Saturday
Henderson heads back to the bench Saturday against the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
After starting the last two games for the Trail Blazers, the second-year guard will come off the bench against Houston. The 20-year-old guard has started five games for Portland this season, averaging 16.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 7.0 assists per game in that role. He had been starting in place of Deni Avdija (ankle), who is still on the mend, but the team is going with Jerami Grant as a starter in his return Saturday.
Jan 17, 2025
Scores 16 points Thursday
Henderson amassed 16 points (6-14 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, six assists and one steal over 32 minutes during Thursday's 118-89 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Henderson finished Thursday's lopsided loss as the Blazers' second-best scorer behind Dalano Banton, who finished with 23 points across 25 minutes off the bench. Henderson has been playing well in recent weeks and has surpassed the 15-point mark in three of his last four appearances. He's averaging 14.0 points, 4.8 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game in January.
Jan 15, 2025
Posts career high in loss
Henderson supplied 39 points (13-18 FG, 8-10 3Pt, 5-8 FT), six assists, four rebounds and two steals across 39 minutes in Tuesday's 132-114 loss to the Nets.
ANALYSIS
Henderson was on fire the entire game, posting a career-high 39 points, albeit in a losing effort. The 20-year-old received the starting nod for the first time since Nov. 20 with Deni Avdija (ankle) sidelined. Henderson made the most of his opportunity and buried eight triples -- his previous high this season had been only three. The second-year pro has faced his fair share of struggles this year, though his production Tuesday is a step in the right direction for the No. 3 pick in the 2023 Draft.
Jan 14, 2025
Enters starting lineup Tuesday
Henderson is in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Nets, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
With Deni Avdija (ankle) sidelined Tuesday, Henderson will draw his first start for the Blazers since Nov. 20. The former lottery pick is averaging 8.7 points, 7.7 assists, 2.7 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 27.9 minutes over three games with Portland's first unit this year.
Jan 10, 2025
Hits for 20 points in reserve role
Henderson ended Thursday's 117-111 loss to the Mavericks with 20 points (3-7 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 12-12 FT), two rebounds, four assists and one steal in 26 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Henderson has bounced back effectively after going scoreless against the Pistons earlier in the week. Henderson is a key piece of Portland's future plans, but his fantasy outlook is capped due to excellent results from Anfernee Simons and Shaedon Sharpe. Although he's excelled with some encouraging numbers as a backup, he lacks the consistency needed for consideration in most fantasy formats.
Jan 7, 2025
Posts a dud
Henderson ended with zero points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one rebound and three assists over 19 minutes during Monday's 118-115 loss to the Pistons.
ANALYSIS
Henderson was held without a point for the first time this season in what was arguably his worst performance of the campaign. He had a strong end to December, but his performance in January has left a lot to be desired so far with averages of 7.0 points, 4.7 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 0.7 triples in his last three outings.
Jan 3, 2025
Dishes out eight dimes
Henderson accumulated 12 points (4-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, eight assists, one block and one steal across 32 minutes during Thursday's 114-106 loss to the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Henderson's 32 minutes played were his most since Nov. 27. The 20-year-old guard capitalized on this increased playing time by recording a team-high eight assists while coming off the bench. Even with Henderson's efficient outing, he is shooting just 38.0 percent from the field over his last 10 appearances.
Dec 29, 2024
Steals five balls in victory
Henderson produced 19 points (8-15 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-3 FT), four rebounds, six assists, one block and five steals in 29 minutes during Saturday's 126-122 victory over the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
It's only a matter of time before Henderson earns a leading role in Portland, but fantasy managers in a dynasty setup will have to settle for a second-unit role for the time being. Despite encouraging reserve numbers for the Trail Blazers, Henderson has a very talented backcourt ahead of him on the depth chart, making it difficult for him to break 30 minutes consistently.
Dec 27, 2024
Sinks go-ahead jumper for win
Henderson finished Thursday's 122-120 win over Utah with 18 points (6-12 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 10 assists, one block and two steals across 30 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Henderson's fadeaway jumper with less then a second remaining sealed the win for the Trail Blazers. The former first-round pick notched his first double-double of the season and matched a season high with with three three-pointers. He has accumulated double-digit scoring in three consecutive games and is serving the team well as the first man up with the second unit.
Dec 24, 2024
Posts solid numbers in backcourt
Henderson chipped in 14 points (4-11 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, four assists and one steal over 26 minutes during Monday's 132-108 loss to the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Henderson was a valuable reservist amid mediocre results from Anfernee Simons and Shaedon Sharpe. Although Simons and Sharpe are locked into first-unit roles, the former first-round pick is proving his worth as a backup. The youngster skipped college and went pro right out of high school, and his coronation as Damian Lillard's heir apparent was a bit premature. He's a key piece of Portland's future plans, but he's only on the cusp of fantasy consideration as he develops with the second unit.
Dec 9, 2024
Flawless from FT line in return
Henderson (quadricep) provided 13 points (3-6 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 6-6 FT), two rebounds and one steal across 21 minutes in Sunday's 107-98 loss to the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Henderson returned to the court after missing the last four games with a left quad contusion, which came after a recent three-game absence due to a back strain. The second-year guard was the first player off the bench for Portland and came through with an efficient scoring performance, highlighted by a perfect showing from the free-throw line. Though he ate into fellow reserve guard Dalano Banton's minutes in his return, Henderson may not see his playing time pick up dramatically in competitive contests if the Trail Blazers continue to run with backcourt starters Anfernee Simons and Shaedon Sharpe in 30-plus-minute roles.
Dec 8, 2024
Gets green light
Henderson (quadriceps) will play Sunday against the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Henderson will return to action after missing his team's last four matchups while on the mend from a bruised left quad. He's expected to be deployed off the bench Sunday evening.
Dec 7, 2024
Questionable to face LAL
Henderson (quadriceps) is questionable to play Sunday against the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Henderson has missed the Trail Blazers' last four games due to a left quadriceps contusion. Even though the questionable tag is encouraging, it wouldn't be surprising if he's not ready to return. Dalano Banton is expected to continue to see increased playing time off the bench if Henderson is unable to suit up.
Dec 6, 2024
Not playing Friday vs. Jazz
Henderson (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Friday night's game against the Jazz, Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson will be sidelined for a fourth straight game due to a left quadriceps contusion, and his next opportunity to play will be Sunday against the Lakers. Rayan Rupert and Dalano Banton will continue to see increased playing time off the bench due to Henderson's injury.
Dec 5, 2024
Iffy for Friday vs. Utah
Henderson (quadriceps) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Henderson is in jeopardy of missing his fourth consecutive outing due to a left quad contusion. If the second-year guard remains sidelined, Dalano Banton and Rayan Rupert should continue seeing an uptick in playing time.
Dec 3, 2024
Ruled out Tuesday vs. LAC
Henderson (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Clippers, independent NBA writer Justin Russo reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson will miss his third consecutive outing due to a left quad contusion. Dalano Banton should continue to receive an increased role off the bench with Henderson sidelined. The second-year guard's next opportunity to feature will come Friday against Utah.
Dec 2, 2024
Questionable for Tuesday
Henderson (quadriceps) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Henderson has missed his team's last two matchups while tending to a left quad contusion, but he has a chance to return in time for Tuesday's clash. Dalano Blanton would continue to see extended minutes as the backup point guard if Henderson remains sidelined.
Dec 2, 2024
Considered day-to-day
Henderson (quadriceps) remains day-to-day after an MRI confirmed a contusion Monday, Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson has missed the past two games for Portland, but could return as soon as Tuesday against the Clippers. The second-year guard has had a quiet start to the campaign, averaging 11.7 points, 5.4 assists, 2.9 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 1.0 three-pointers.

Won't play Sunday vs. Dallas
Henderson (quadricep) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Dallas, Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson will miss his second consecutive game due to a left quadricep contusion. With the second-year guard sidelined, the team will likely take an extended look at Dalano Banton off the bench. Henderson's next chance to feature will come in Tuesday's matchup versus the Clippers.
Nov 30, 2024
Questionable to play Sunday
Henderson (quadriceps) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Henderson has been sidelined due to a left quadriceps contusion, and he's in danger of missing his fifth game out of Portland's last six contests Sunday. If Henderson is unable to play, Dalano Banton would see increased minutes in a reserve role behind starting guards Anfernee Simons and Shaedon Sharpe.
Nov 29, 2024
Won't play Friday vs. Kings
Henderson (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Friday's game against Sacramento.
ANALYSIS
Henderson will be sidelined for the fourth time in five games, this time due to a left quadriceps contusion. Dalano Banton and Rayan Rupert should see additional playing time off the bench Friday due to Henderson's injury. Henderson's next chance to play will be Sunday against the Mavericks.
Nov 29, 2024
Late addition to injury report
Henderson is listed as questionable for Friday's game versus the Kings due to a left quadriceps contusion.
ANALYSIS
Despite not being on the injury report all day, Henderson is now in danger of missing his fourth out of Portland's last five contests Friday. With Dalano Banton (knee) also questionable, Rayan Rupert could be in store for increased playing time.
Nov 27, 2024
Season-high minutes count in return
Henderson (back) tallied 17 points (6-11 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-6 FT), nine assists, two rebounds and one block in 35 minutes Wednesday in the Trail Blazers' 121-114 loss to the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
The Trail Blazers showed no concern about easing Henderson back into the mix after he had missed the last three games with a back strain, as his 35 minutes were a new season high. While Henderson turned in quality production in the points, three-pointers and assists columns, a rough showing from the foul line lessened the value of his fantasy line in category leagues. Henderson benefited from Portland being shorthanded on healthy players Wednesday, so he could be a candidate to lose out on some minutes if Jerami Grant (knee) and (to a lesser extent) Robert Williams (concussion) are able to play in the Trail Blazers' next game Friday versus the Kings.
Nov 27, 2024
Getting green light
Henderson (back) is available for Wednesday's game against the Pacers, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson will shake off a questionable tag and return to action after missing three straight games due to a back strain. With Anfernee Simons and Shaedon Sharpe healthy and playing well, Henderson is slated for a reserve role. In 12 games off the bench this season, Henderson has averaged 12.0 points, 4.6 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 25.4 minutes per game.
Nov 26, 2024
Questionable against Indiana
Henderson (back) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game versus the Pacers.
ANALYSIS
Henderson is in danger of missing his fourth straight contest Wednesday due to a back strain. If the second-year guard is forced to sit out yet again, Dalano Banton and Rayan Rupert should continue to receive increased playing time.
Nov 25, 2024
Out vs. Grizzlies
Henderson (back) won't play Monday night against Memphis.
ANALYSIS
Henderson will miss his third consecutive game due to a back strain. His next chance to suit up will arrive Wednesday against the Pacers.
Nov 24, 2024
Questionable for Monday
Henderson (back) is questionable for Monday's game against the Grizzlies.
ANALYSIS
Henderson has missed the last two games due to a back strain that now has his status for Monday's game in question. Delano Banton would serve as backup to Anfernee Simons if Henderson is held out again.
Nov 23, 2024
Won't play Saturday
Henderson was involved in a minor car accident and will be out for Saturday's game versus the Rockets due to a back strain and is considered day-to-day moving forward, Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson missed Portland's previous contest due to a left quad contusion but will sit out Saturday due to a back strain. While the second-year guard appears to have avoided a serious injury, his next chance to suit up is Monday's matchup with Memphis.
Nov 22, 2024
Ruled out Friday vs. HOU
Henderson (quadricep) has been ruled out for Friday's game versus the Rockets, Ben DuBose of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson suffered a left quadricep contusion in Wednesday's loss to the Thunder and was ruled out shortly after limping to the bench. With the second-year guard sidelined, Dalano Banton will likely see an uptick in playing time. Henderson's next chance to play will come on the second leg of a back-to-back set against the Rockets on Saturday.
Nov 21, 2024
Questionable for Friday
Henderon (quadricep) is listed as questionable for Friday's game against the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Henderson suffered a left quadricep contusion in Wednesday's loss to the Thunder and was ruled out shortly after limping to the bench. If the second-year guard is unable to play Friday, Dalano Banton will likely see an increased role with Anfernee Simons (hand) also deemed questionable.
Nov 20, 2024
Early exit Wednesday
Henderson was forced to exit Wednesday's game against Oklahoma City due to a left thigh contusion, Sean Highkin of Rip City Radio 620 Portland reports.
ANALYSIS
Herderson had a minor collision while chasing an offensive rebound in the third quarter of Wednesday's contest, promptly limping to the bench and being ruled out shortly after. Portland begins a back-to-back against Houston on Friday, so Henderson's status will need to be monitored.
Nov 18, 2024
Hands out 10 assists
Henderson closed with six points (3-11 FG, 0-4 3Pt), one rebound, 10 assists, one block and one steal in 30 minutes during Sunday's 114-110 win over the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
Henderson struggled badly from the field, as evidenced by his scoring output, but he made an impact in the playmaking department. It was the first time Henderson dished out 10 dimes this season, and with 15 assists in his last two appearances as a starter, he might continue to experience an uptick in his numbers as long as he remains in the first unit. That will ultimately depend on the return of Anfernee Simons, who's sidelined with an illness.
Nov 14, 2024
Posts 11 points in starting role
Henderson logged 11 points (4-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, five assists and two steals over 27 minutes during Wednesday's 106-98 win over the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Henderson logged his first start of the season with mixed results. It's difficult to break into the starting five with Anfernee Simons (illness) and Shaedon Sharpe playing at a high level, and Sharpe's 33 -point performance in the win clouds Henderson's outlook even further. Henderson was drafted as the presumptive heir to Damian Lillard's role last season, but first-unit minutes aren't coming his way.
Nov 13, 2024
Part of first unit
Henderson will start Wednesday's game against the Timberwolves, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson will fill in at point guard for Anfernee Simons (illness), marking the second-year guard's first start of the 2024-25 campaign. Through 12 games, Henderson is averaging 12.0 points, 4.6 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 steals across 25.4 minutes.
Nov 9, 2024
Strong showing off bench Friday
Henderson finished Friday's 127-102 loss to the Timberwolves with 16 points (6-14 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one steal in 32 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Henderson has been relatively inconsistent as a scoring weapon coming off the bench for the Blazers, failing to reach the 10-point mark in four of his 10 appearances. The nature of that role, especially in a rebuilding team, limits his upside considerably. During those 10 appearances, Henderson is averaging 12.5 points and 4.5 assists per game, although he's only shooting 40.9 percent from the field and 26.7 percent from deep.
Nov 5, 2024
Shooting woes in win
Henderson racked up five points (2-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five assists, two rebounds and two steals over 25 minutes during Monday's 118-100 win over the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Henderson struggled from the field Monday, though he did post five-plus assists for the sixth time this season. The 20-year-old has shot only 32.0 percent across the last three games, during which he also saw a slight decrease in playing time. Henderson has averaged 12.3 points, 4.9 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 0.8 steals while shooting 40.5 percent across 25.6 minutes per game over eight regular-season outings.
Oct 29, 2024
Scores 18 in defeat
Henderson ended with 18 points (5-12 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 7-8 FT), five assists and four rebounds across 28 minutes during Monday's 111-98 loss to the Kings.
ANALYSIS
The second-year point guard finished as the club's second-leading scorer behind Deandre Ayton (20) in the low-scoring defeat. Henderson has produced a decent start to the year, and through four regular-season outings he has averaged 16.0 points, 5.5 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 0.8 steals across 28.8 minutes per game. The 20-year-old has come off the bench in four-straight contests behind Anfernee Simmons. However, if injury concerns arise in the backcourt, or if Simmons slides to the two-guard over Toumani Camara, Henderson is seemingly a candidate to join the starting lineup.
Oct 24, 2024
Leads team from bench
Henderson registered 22 points (7-18 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 8-9 FT), four rebounds and four assists in 28 minutes during Wednesday's 139-104 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
It was surprising to see Henderson on the bench to begin the game, but the team elected to start Anfernee Simons and Toumani Camara in the backcourt. The Trail Blazers made a huge investment with Henderson, and it seems unlikely that he'll be on the bench for long. Coming straight out of high school, Henderson is still developing, but Portland has a better chance at notching some wins with Henderson as a starter.
Oct 23, 2024
Not starting opener
Henderson isn't part of the Trail Blazers' starting lineup for Wednesday's regular-season opener against Golden State, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson's absence from the starting lineup comes as a little bit of a surprise, as the second-year guard was speculated to start alongside Anfernee Simons in the Portland backcourt. However, the Trail Blazers' are opting to slide Simons to the point guard spot while Toumani Camara fills the two-spot. Despite his reserve status, Henderson should see 20-plus minutes against the Warriors. It's unclear if Henderson will come off the bench regularly or if his omission from the first unit was due to the matchup against Golden State.
Oct 19, 2024
Option picked up
The Trail Blazers picked up Henderson's third-year team option Saturday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
ANALYSIS
No surprise here, as the No. 3 pick in last year's NBA Draft remains a pillar in Portland's plans going forward. However, he did struggle during his rookie campaign, shooting below 39 percent from the field and committing 3.4 turnovers per game. Still, the point guard flashed promising signs as the season progressed, averaging 18.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, 7.9 assists, 1.4 steals and 2.3 triples across the final 14 games of the regular season. He is expected to start alongside Anfernee Simons in the backcourt this season.
Oct 18, 2024
Not starting Friday
Henderson is not in the starting lineup for Friday's preseason finale versus the Jazz, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Portland is going with Anfernee Simons at point guard alongside Toumani Camara to complete its starting backcourt. Once the regular season tips off, Hendrson is expected to start at point, while Simons plays the two-guard.
Oct 17, 2024
Leads Portland to victory
Henderson scored 23 points (10-14 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT) while adding five rebounds, six assists and two steals across 32 minutes in Wednesday's 111-100 preseason win over Ratiopharm Ulm.
ANALYSIS
Henderson is locked in at the starting point guard role for the start of the 2024-25 season, though the injuries of Anfernee Simons (ankle) and Shaedon Sharpe (shoulder) have played a role in that, too. Regardless, Henderson has looked sharp in preseason and could be poised to have a breakout season, or at least, he should improve the numbers he delivered as a rookie in 2023-24, when he averaged 14.0 points, 5.4 assists and 3.1 rebounds per game while shooting a meager 38.5 percent from the field across 62 regular-season contests.
Oct 14, 2024
Strong performance Sunday
Henderson delivered 17 points (5-13 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 6-8 FT), four rebounds, seven assists and two steals across 25 minutes in Sunday's 108-85 preseason win over the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Henderson led the Trail Blazers in scoring, and even though his final shooting line wasn't encouraging, he still posted a solid all-around outing. Henderson will open the regular season as the Blazers' starting point guard, and a strong showing in the first few weeks of the campaign could boost his upside considerably due to Shaedon Sharpe's shoulder injury.
Oct 12, 2024
Struggles with shot Friday
Henderson scored 13 points (4-16 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-6 FT) while adding four rebounds and three assists in 30 minutes during Friday's 101-99 preseason loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
The third overall pick in the 2023 Draft also committed seven turnovers in a shaky start to his preseason. Henderson's rookie campaign didn't go as planned as he shot just 38.5 percent from the floor and 32.5 percent from beyond the arc, and while he finished the 2023-24 season by scoring in double digits in 16 straight games, the 20-year-old point guard's offense still appears to be a work in progress.
Sep 30, 2024
Good to go
Portland general manager Joe Cronin said Monday that Henderson (hip) will be a full go for training camp this week, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson missed the regular-season finale on April 14 with a minor hip issue, but it's widely believed that the franchise was just being cautious in a meaningless game. Entering his second NBA campaign, Henderson will have high expectations after showing some serious promise to end his rookie season. He ended up making 62 regular-season appearances with averages of 14.0 points, 5.4 assists, 3.1 rebounds, 1.4 triples and 0.8 steals across 28.5 minutes.
Apr 14, 2024
Out against Kings
Henderson (hip) will not play in Portland's regular-season finale in Sacramento.
ANALYSIS
With Portland out of playoff contention, Henderson's rookie season has come to an end. It was an up-and-down year for the No. 2 overall pick due to inneficiency and injuries. He will finish with averages of 14.0 points, 3.1 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.4 triples across 28.5 minutes in 62 games. The 20-year-old shot 38.5 percent from the field and 32.5 percent from beyond the arc.
Apr 13, 2024
Iffy for Sunday
Henderson is questionable for Sunday's game against the Kings due to a left hip injury.
ANALYSIS
This is a new issue for Henderson, and Portland could be tempted to err on the side of caution for the season finale. If Henderson ends up playing, he would likely continue to see heavy usage. During Friday's loss to Houston, Henderson logged 30 points (10-23 FG, 6-7 3Pt, 4-5 FT), seven assists, five rebounds, one block and one steal in 34 minutes.
Apr 13, 2024
Pours in 30 pooints during loss
Henderson had 30 points (10-23 FG, 6-7 3Pt, 4-5 FT), five rebounds, seven assists, one block and one steal in 34 minutes during Friday's 116-107 loss to Houston.
ANALYSIS
Although Portland's lost season is a disappointment, the team should be happy with Henderson's progression after naming him Damian Lillard's heir apparent. The team made a four-year, $44M investment in the rookie, and although injuries thwarted him at various points, he finished as one of the league's best freshmen.
Apr 12, 2024
Collects 12 assists in loss
Henderson amassed 18 points (7-20 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 2-3 FT), three rebounds, 12 assists and two steals in 40 minutes during Thursday's 100-92 loss to the Warriors.
ANALYSIS
Henderson is Portland's point guard of the future, and he's able to fully realize his potential amid absences from Anfernee Simons (knee) and Malcolm Brogdon (elbow). Portland has cash invested in Henderson as part of a youth-based rebuild with Henderson, Deandre Ayton and Simons as centerpieces. Portland had only eight players in the rotation Thursday, so the rookie's usage will be substantial as the season draws to a close.
Apr 10, 2024
Sets new high in dimes
Henderson provided 19 points (7-18 FG, 2-10 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds, 15 assists and one steal across 41 minutes during Tuesday's 110-100 loss to New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
The 15 assists were a career high for the rookie guard, who is having a strong finish to the season. Henderson has started 12 straight games, and over that stretch he's averaged 18.0 points, 7.6 assists, 3.5 boards, 2.0 threes and 1.3 steals while shooting a respectable 36.4 percent from beyond the arc. There are still some shooting concerns with the third overall pick in the 2023 Draft, but Henderson appears to be setting himself up to take a big leap forward in 2024-25.
Apr 7, 2024
Near double-double in defeat
Henderson posted 15 points (3-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 6-6 FT), one rebound, eight assists and two steals across 36 minutes during Sunday's 124-107 loss to Boston.
ANALYSIS
Henderson led all Portland starters in assists while connecting on a team-high-tying trio of threes and concluding as one of three players with 15 or more points in a near double-double outing. Henderson has distributed eight or more assists in 12 games this season, adding 15 or more points in 10 of those contests. He has now tallied at least 15 points in nine of his last 10 appearances.
Apr 4, 2024
Double-double in Charlotte
Henderson notched 22 points (9-16 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 0-2 FT), one rebound, 10 assists and one steal across 37 minutes during Wednesday's 89-86 win over the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Matched up against Brandon Miller, the player taken one pick ahead of him in the 2023 NBA Draft, Henderson had one of the best games of his young career. The 20-year-old guard produced his sixth double-double of the season, and while starting nine straight games, Henderson has averaged 18.1 points, 6.8 assists, 3.9 boards, 1.9 threes and 1.3 steals.
Mar 30, 2024
Pops for 20 in rout
Henderson accumulated a team-high 20 points (8-18 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 3-5 FT), six rebounds, six assists, one block and two steals over 41 minutes during Friday's 142-82 loss to the Heat.
ANALYSIS
The rookie guard was the only Portland player to put up much of a fight in the largest win in Miami franchise history. Henderson has begun to look more like the third overall pick in the 2023 Draft, and over seven straight starts he has averaged 18.3 points, 6.0 assists, 3.7 boards, 1.7 threes and 1.6 steals.
Mar 28, 2024
Scores 15 with 16 shots
Henderson ended Wednesday's 120-106 loss to Atlanta with 15 points (6-16 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, six assists and two steals across 32 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Henderson didn't have his best shooting performance Wednesday, and just like the rest of the Trail Blazers offense, he struggled in yet another loss. Henderson has now scored in double figures in eight games in a row and seems to be adjusting better to the pace of the NBA, but he won't go far in fantasy -- especially category-based leagues -- if he continues to shoot under 40 percent from the field. He's making just 39.7 percent of his shots during that eight-game span.
Mar 26, 2024
Posts 15 points in loss to HOU
Henderson amassed 15 points (6-14 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and four assists across 25 minutes during Monday's 110-92 loss to Houston.
ANALYSIS
The Trail Blazers are dealing with a rash of injuries in the backcourt, and that should allow Henderson to remain in a starting role for the time being, although the fact that the team is not playing for anything except a high pick in the 2024 NBA Draft should boost his chances of seeing extended minutes. Henderson has been doing a good job of late since he's averaging 18.6 points, 6.0 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game over his last five appearances, but the efficiency continues to be an issue, as he's shooting 39.3 percent from the field in that span.
Mar 24, 2024
Posts 22 points in defeat
Henderson racked up 22 points (9-20 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, six assists and two steals in 28 minutes during Saturday's 114-111 loss to the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Absorbing Anfernee Simons' (knee) output is no easy task, but Henderson proved his worth in the narrow loss. Now that the rookie is fully healthy, Henderson will have a firm hold of the starting role at point guard regardless of how the injury situation shakes down moving forward. The Blazers plan on making Henderson their floor general of the future, and they are unlikely to give Malcom Brogdon (elbow) the role upon his return.
Mar 23, 2024
Double-doubles in loss to LAC
Henderson supplied 24 points (8-18 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 5-5 FT), four rebounds, 10 assists and two steals across 35 minutes during Friday's 125-117 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Henderson has had a rough rookie season, or at least much more complicated when comparing his numbers to the ones of other top rookies such as Victor Wembanyama and Brandon Miller. However, this was one of his best displays of the entire campaign. Henderson seems to be finding his groove of late, and he has scored in double digits in all but one of his last eight outings since returning from an adductor injury in early March. He's averaging 13.4 points, 5.5 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game in that stretch.
Mar 21, 2024
Paces squad in scoring Wednesday
Henderson ended with 18 points (6-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-6 FT), two rebounds, five assists and two steals in 35 minutes during Wednesday's 116-103 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Henderson didn't post a particularly impressive shooting line, but he still managed to lead the Blazers in scoring while finishing second on the squad in assists. The rookie guard also logged a team-high 35 minutes, providing further evidence that he's past the adductor injury that caused him to miss eight straight games between late February and early March. This was Henderson's highest scoring effort since his return from that issue.
Mar 19, 2024
Solid numbers against Bulls
Henderson recorded 14 points (4-17 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 5-6 FT), six rebounds, five assists and one steal over 30 minutes during Monday's 110-107 loss to Chicago.
ANALYSIS
The rookie guard is beginning to show a little consistency. Over six games (three starts) since returning from an adductor strain, Henderson has scored in double digits five times, averaging 10.8 points, 4.8 assists, 3.8 boards and 1.0 steals in 26.0 minutes a contest, although his 34.3 percent shooting from the floor and 18.2 percent shooting from beyond the arc still need a lot of work.
Mar 18, 2024
Will start with no restrictions
Henderson will start Monday's game against the Bulls and won't face any restrictions, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson will start for the third time over Portland's last five games. Across his last five appearances, the rookie point guard has averaged 10.2 points, 4.8 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 25.2 minutes per game, but he should eclipse 30 minutes versus the Bulls.
Mar 16, 2024
Remains on minutes restriction
Henderson is on a minutes restriction for Saturday's game versus the Pelicans, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson is expected to make his second straight Saturday but will remain on a minutes restriction. The rookie guard should play a comparable amount to the 26 minutes he logged against the Knicks.
Mar 15, 2024
Productive in starting role
Henderson ended with 12 points (4-13 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds, six assists and one steal over 26 minutes during Thursday's 105-93 loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Henderson got the starting nod since Anfernee Simons (knee) was ruled out, and he delivered a decent performance, though the shooting woes continue to plague the rookie. Henderson is now shooting just 39.3 percent from the field, as well as 31 percent from three-point range, over his last 10 games.
Mar 14, 2024
Starting against Knicks
Henderson will start Thursday's game against the Knicks, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Anfernee Simons (knee) is taking the night off, but coach Chauncey Billups expects him back for Saturday's game against the Pelicans. As a starter this season, Henderson holds averages of 13.6 points, 5.6 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.3 three-pointers.
Mar 14, 2024
Struggles badly despite win
Henderson registered two points (1-8 FG, 0-4 3Pt), one rebound, three assists and one steal across 17 minutes during Wednesday's 106-102 win over the Hawks.
ANALYSIS
The Trail Blazers came out on top Wednesday, but Henderson had another woeful performance, and the rookie continues to alternate good performances with some really poor ones. The play of other rookies from this class has done nothing but single out Henderson's struggles even more, and it's safe to say he hasn't lived up to his status of being the third overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. He's averaging 13.0 points and 4.8 assists, though shooting a mere 37.5 percent from the field, since the beginning of January, a span in which he's also missed 10 games due to injuries.
Mar 13, 2024
Under minutes limit, won't start
Henderson will be under a minutes restriction and will come off the bench Wednesday against the Hawks, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson will be limited for the opening leg of Portland's back-to-back set and will be replaced by Dalano Banton in the starting lineup. While it's unclear exactly how many minutes Henderson will see Wednesday, it's likely that he'll end up in the mid-20s.
Mar 12, 2024
Eight dimes in Monday's start
Henderson totaled 13 points (5-12 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and eight assists across 33 minutes during Monday's 121-99 loss to Boston.
ANALYSIS
Making just his second start since Jan. 14, Henderson led the Blazers in assists, although he also led the team with five turnovers. The third overall pick in the 2023 has had a bumpy rookie campaign due to injuries, but when he's been on the court of late he's been productive. He's scored in double digits in eight straight contests dating back to Jan. 29, averaging 17.0 points, 5.6 assists, 3.0 boards and 1.5 threes over that stretch.
Mar 11, 2024
Unrestricted Monday
Henderson (adductor) will not have a minute restriction in Monday's game against Boston, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson posted 13 points and five assists in 26 minutes during his return to action in Saturday's win over Toronto. The rookie can be expected to build on that usage Monday. Henderson averaged 17.6 points, 3.0 rebounds and 5.6 assists in 31.4 minutes across five appearances prior to a multi-week absence due to his adductor injury.
Mar 10, 2024
Returns to action with 13 points
Henderson closed Saturday's 128-118 overtime win over Toronto with 13 points (5-12 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, five assists and one steal over 26 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Henderson returned after an eight-game absence and showed no ill effects from the thigh injury that sidelined him. The rookie began the season branded as Portland's point guard of the future, and although the season hasn't worked out as planned, it makes sense for for the team to give Henderson every opportunity to prove his worth. A promotion back to the starting lineup could be imminent, but Delano Banton's recent string of successful games may delay that move.
Mar 9, 2024
Available off bench
Henderson (thigh) will come off the bench for Saturday's game against the Raptors, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson missed the past eight games for Portland, and while there are no restrictions reported, it's likely that the Trail Blazers will ease him back into things. In his last four appearances before his injury, Henderson averaged 18.3 points, 6.0 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.5 three-pointers.

Probable Saturday
Henderson (thigh) has been given a probable designation for Saturday's game against the Raptors.
ANALYSIS
Although he has not officially been cleared, Henderson appears on track to return from an eight-game absence. Should he indeed get the green light, the rookie would likely be facing some type of minutes limit given his length of time on the sidelines. More clarity on his status should come closer to tipoff.
Mar 8, 2024
Out for Friday
Henderson (thigh) will not play in Friday's game against the Rockets, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson was considered doubtful before this update, and he'll now miss his eighth straight contest. Henderson previously expressed some optimism about returning Saturday versus the Raptors, so his fantasy managers may have him back in their lineups soon.
Mar 7, 2024
Doubtful for Friday
Henderson (thigh) is doubtful to play Friday against the Rockets.
ANALYSIS
Henderson is expected to return this weekend, but it sounds like it'll be Saturday and not Friday. Anfernee Simons, Kris Murray and Ashton Haggans will continue to pick up the slack in his absence.
Mar 6, 2024
Targeting weekend for return
Henderson (thigh) is progressing in his recovery and is hopeful to return to action this weekend, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson has already been ruled out for Wednesday's contest due to a left thigh strain, marking his seventh straight absence. While the rookie guard's next chance to suit up is Friday's matchup with Houston, he could operate under a minutes restriction early on.
Mar 5, 2024
Out again for Wednesday
Henderson (thigh) will not play in Wednesday's game against the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
This will be the seventh game in a row on the shelf for Henderson, and his timetable remains murky at best. Given Portland's place in the standings, they are not in a position to rush him back to the floor. Henderson's next chance to play will be Friday against Houston.
Feb 27, 2024
Will miss next three games
Coach Chauncey Billups said Tuesday that Henderson (adductor) won't play in Portland's upcoming three-game road trip, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson has already been ruled out for Tuesday's game against Miami, marking his third straight absence. However, the rookie guard is now expected to be sidelined at least until March 4 against Minnesota. Ashton Hagans, Kris Murray and Shaedon Sharpe should continue to receive increased minutes in Henderson's absence.
Feb 26, 2024
Won't play Tuesday
Henderson (adductor) will not play Tuesday against Miami.
ANALYSIS
Henderson will miss his third consecutive game due to a left adductor strain, although further testing ruled out a long-term absence for the rookie. Nonetheless, missing Portland's first three games following the All-Star break is a discouraging development, and his next opportunity to take the court comes Friday versus Memphis.
Feb 24, 2024
Won't play Sunday
Henderson (thigh) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Hornets.
ANALYSIS
Henderson was healthy before the All-Star break, so chances are this injury happened during the break, and his absence Sunday represents the second consecutive game he'll miss. Henderson's next chance to play will come against the Heat on Tuesday. The injury comes at an unfortunate time for the rookie, as he was averaging 18.3 points per game over his previous six appearances before suffering the injury.
Feb 22, 2024
Ruled out for Friday
Henderson has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Nuggets due a left adductor strain, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson was healthy going into the All-Star break, so he must have tweaked his adductor at practice. Unfortunately, he will miss Friday's game, and for now, he should be considered questionable for Sunday's matchup with the Hornets. Ashton Hagans and Dalano Banton will have the opportunity for some extended run while Scoot is sidelined.
Feb 16, 2024
Joins first unit with 15 points
Henderson logged 15 points (5-12 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 5-6 FT), one rebound, four assists and one steal across 31 minutes during Thursday's 128-91 loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Henderson is Portland's point guard of the future, and although injuries derailed a promising rookie season, he's worked his way back into the top spot thanks to productive nights off the bench. Malcom Brogdon (elbow) should return after the All-Star break, which could send Henderson back to the bench.
Feb 15, 2024
Cleared and starting
Henderson (foot) is starting Thursday's game against the Timberwolves, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson was added to the injury report as probable due to a left foot sprain, and he's since been given the green light to participate in Thursday's contest. He's also in line for his first start since Jan. 14, with head coach Chauncey Billups stating in pregame that Henderson deserves the start due to how well he's been playing of late.
Feb 14, 2024
Expected to play against Minnesota
Henderson is listed as questionable for Thursday's games versus game versus the Timberwolves due to a left foot sprain.
ANALYSIS
Henderson is expected to play in his second straight contest Thursday after sitting out Portland's two prior games due to a left foot sprain. If he's upgraded to available, the rookie guard should serve as Portland's primary option off the bench in the backcourt.
Feb 14, 2024
Collects nine assists in return
Henderson logged 14 points (4-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 5-5 FT), one rebound and nine assists in 34 minutes during Tuesday's 121-109 loss to the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Henderson and Anfernee Simons were back in action during Tuesday's loss, and after a poor showing from Matisse Thybulle, Henderson may find his way back into the starting lineup. His nine assists led the team, and he showed no ill effects from the foot injury that forced him to miss two games.
Feb 13, 2024
Will play Tuesday
Henderson (foot) will return to action for Tuesday's game against the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Henderson will be returning from a two-game absence, and there's no word of any restrictions. Anfernee Simons (ankle) has also been cleared to play, and both players could see increased usage with Malcolm Brogdon (elbow) out for at least the next two weeks.
Feb 12, 2024
Handed questionable tag
Henderson (foot) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Timberwolves.
ANALYSIS
Henderson is in danger of missing his third straight matchup while dealing with a left foot sprain. He'll likely be monitored closely throughout the day to determine his status for Tuesday evening.
Feb 10, 2024
Ruled out Saturday
Henderson (foot) has been ruled out to play against the Pelicans on Saturday, Aaron J. Fentress of The Oregonian reports.
ANALYSIS
The rookie floor general has been struggling with a foot injury and is set to miss a second consecutive game -- quite an issue for Portland since Anfernee Simons (ankle) and Malcolm Brogdon (illness) have been ruled out as well. Henderson's next chance to play will come against the Timberwolves on Tuesday.
Feb 9, 2024
Questionable to play
Henderson (foot) is questionable for Saturday's game versus the Pelicans.
ANALYSIS
Henderson and Malcolm Brogdon (illness) missed Thursday's game against Detroit, but now they are both questionable. Portland could need them to soak up a ton of minutes if they get the green light, as Anfernee Simons (ankle) has already been ruled out.
Feb 8, 2024
Will not suit up
Henderson (foot) will not play in Thursday's game against Detroit.
ANALYSIS
Henderson is considered day-to-day with his next chance coming to play on Saturday versus the Pelicans. With Malcolm Brogdon (illness) also out, the Trail Blazers could turn to guys like Rayan Rupert, Matisse Thybulle and Toumani Camara.
Feb 7, 2024
Iffy for Thursday
Henderson is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against Detroit due to a left foot contusion.
ANALYSIS
Henderson appears to have picked up a bone bruise in his left foot and will be at risk of missing his first game since Nov. 21. He's logged 30 or more minutes in back-to-back games, averaging 22.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists over 35.0 minutes. If he ends up missing, Rayan Rupert and Matisse Thybulle could pick up extra minutes.
Feb 6, 2024
Troubling scoring performance
Henderson finished with 14 points (3-16 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 6-6 FT), eight rebounds and nine assists in 33 minutes during Sunday's 112-103 loss to the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Henderson posting 1-for-10 shooting from inside the arc Sunday is the antithesis of efficiency, but it aligns with the rookie's 44.9 percent shooting at the rim , which ranks last out of 117 players with at least 150 attempts at the basket this season. Patience is warranted as Henderson acclimates to the physicality of the league, and he salvaged his fantasy performance by chipping in on the glass while posting his sixth game of the season with at least nine assists.
Feb 3, 2024
Explodes for 30 points
Henderson accumulated 30 points (8-15 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 11-12 FT), five rebounds and two assists over 37 minutes during Friday's 120-108 loss to the Nuggets.
ANALYSIS
Henderson did most of his damage in the second quarter after Toumani Camara faded into the woodwork. Portland found the most success with a small-ball lineup of Henderson, Malcom Brogdon and Anfernee Simons as they tried to stay competitive without Jerami Grant (back) in the lineup. The wheels fell off when Henderson took a seat in the third quarter, and although he helped the team get back on track with seven points in the fourth quarter, Grant's absence was sorely felt despite masterful efforts from the backcourt.
Jan 30, 2024
Posts 22 points from bench
Henderson produced 22 points (5-9 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 9-9 FT), two rebounds, four assists, one block and two steals over 22 minutes during Monday's 130-104 victory over Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
Henderson was bale to play both ends of the back-to-back despite suffering a quad injury Friday evening, anf although he barely made an impact Sunday, he bounced back with an excellent total against the Sixers. While Henderson's fortunes have increased amid Portland's injury woes, the projected point guard of the future has been the odd man out of late, as Malcolm Brogdon's standout play has kept him relegated to the bench.
Jan 28, 2024
Officially available Sunday
Henderson (quadriceps) will play in Sunday's game against the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Henderson was questionable coming into Sunday due to a left quadriceps contusion that caused him to leave Friday's game against the Spurs early. The rookie has averaged 11.3 points, 4.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds in 24.3 minutes per game over his last three complete games.
Jan 27, 2024
Status in question Sunday
Henderson (quadriceps) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Bulls.
ANALYSIS
Henderson exited Friday's game against the Spurs due to a left quad bruise that now has his status for Sunday in the air. If he is unable to go, the already shorthanded Blazers will likely rely on Matisse Thybulle and Rayan Rupert for extra minutes.
Jan 26, 2024
Will not return Friday
Henderson will not return to Friday's game against the Spurs due to a left quad contusion. He finished with six points (1-2 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT) and one rebound in six minutes.
ANALYSIS
Henderson went to the locker room with a trainer with 11:39 left in the second quarter and was ruled out for the remainder of the game during halftime. Toumani Camara started the second half with Jerami Grant (back) also done for the night, and we could also see more of Kris Murray in the short term. It's unclear if Henderson will be able to play Sunday against the Bulls.
Jan 26, 2024
Questionable to return
Henderson is questionable to return to Friday's game against the Spurs due to a left quad contusion.
ANALYSIS
Henderson went to the locker room with a trainer with 11:39 left in the second quarter. Portland is already very thin in the backcourt with Malcolm Brogdon (knee) sitting out, so Anfernee Simons could have a lot on his plate the rest of the evening.
Jan 24, 2024
Productive off bench
Henderson totaled 19 points (7-18 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), four rebounds, seven assists and one steal in 26 minutes during Tuesday's 111-109 loss to the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
Henderson struggled from the field, but managed to put together a solid stat line. The rookie point guard has produced averages of 12.8 points, 4.9 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.3 three-pointers in January, but his overall fantasy value is being watered down by poor shooting percentages and a lack of defensive stats.
Jan 21, 2024
Available Sunday
Henderson (nose) will play Sunday against the Lakers.
ANALYSIS
Henderson was deemed a game-time decision ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Lakers, but he has been upgraded to available after testing out his condition pregame. The rookie has been playing well of late, averaging 14.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 25.4 minutes per game over his last five appearances.
Jan 21, 2024
Game-time decision Sunday
Henderson (nose) will be a game-time decision Sunday against the Lakers, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson is uncertain to play Sunday due to a nasal contusion he suffered in Friday's game against the Pacers. The rookie is going to test out how he feels ahead of game time to determine his availability.
Jan 20, 2024
Questionable for Sunday
Henderson (nasal contusion) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Lakers, Danny Marang of 1080 The Fan Portlandreports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson suffered this injury Friday against the Pacers and was unable to return for the second half. However, it appears to be a day-to-day issue, and there will likely be more clarity on his status following the morning shootaround. In addition to Henderson, Anfernee Simons (illness) is also questionable.
Jan 20, 2024
Suffers nasal contusion
Henderson suffered a nasal contusion during Friday's game against the Pacers and will not return. He finished with 10 points (4-4 FG, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one block in eight minutes.
ANALYSIS
Henderson was having a terrific first half before he caught a Myles Turner elbow to the face. With Anfernee Simons (illness) out Friday, Portland has been relying heavily on Malcolm Brogdon. Henderson should be considered questionable to play in Sunday's game against the Lakers.
Jan 17, 2024
Retreats to bench
Henderson isn't in the starting five for Wednesday's game versus the Nets, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson will be replaced by Malcolm Brogdon in the starting lineup Wednesday. The rookie guard is averaging 11.2 points, 4.4 assists and 2.2 rebounds in 25.8 minutes across his previous five appearances coming off the bench.
Jan 15, 2024
Scores career-best 33 points
Henderson finished Sunday's 127-116 loss to the Suns with 33 points (11-31 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 7-9 FT), seven rebounds, nine assists and three steals in 40 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Henderson has had a rough start to his NBA career -- at least considering the expectations that carry with being the second overall pick in the draft -- but this was his best outing of the season by a wide margin. This 33-point outing was a season-high mark for the rookie, and Henderson is averaging 16.0 points, 6.1 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game in 10 appearances since moving back to the first unit.
Jan 12, 2024
Score 13 points in woeful showing
Henderson chipped in 13 points (4-21 FG, 1-9 3Pt, 4-6 FT), six rebounds, two assists and one steal in 31 minutes during Thursday's 139-77 loss to the Thunder.
ANALYSIS
The Trail Blazers suffered one of the biggest defeats in NBA history and the entire team struggled on both ends of the court. Even though Henderson's fantasy stat line looks decent on paper, the fact that he needed 21 shots to score 13 points isn't encouraging. Even worse for him is the fact that the rookie is already having a rough season in terms of shooting efficiency. Through 28 appearances (13 starts), the third pick of the 2023 NBA Draft is making 36 percent of his shots and just 29.3 percent of his three-point attempts.
Jan 10, 2024
Struggles with shot once again
Henderson contributed eight points (3-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, four assists and one steal in 25 minutes during Tuesday's 112-84 loss to the Knicks.
ANALYSIS
Henderson has not lived up to the hype of being one of the top picks in the 2023 NBA Draft, and he has evidenced problems adjusting to the next level due to the pace of the game while also having issues with his decision-making. Henderson has enough talent to bounce back and should only get better as he matures, but right now, he's well behind some other rookies from the same class. Since recovering his starting role on Dec. 28, Henderson is averaging 15.1 points, 6.6 assists, and 3.9 rebounds per game, but he's also shooting a woeful 37.5 percent from the field.
Jan 6, 2024
Records double-double in loss
Henderson notched 17 points (7-15 FG, 3-7 3Pt), three rebounds, 10 assists and one steal across 33 minutes during Friday's 139-103 loss to the Mavericks.
ANALYSIS
Henderson registered his fourth double-double in Friday's blowout loss. He was the second leading scorer for the Trail Blazers behind Jerami Grant. Henderson re-entered the starting lineup Dec. 28, and in his five games since is averaging 17.6 points on 42.3 percent shooting from three, 4.2 rebounds and 7.6 assists over 34.6 minutes per game.
Jan 2, 2024
Scores 17 points in loss
Henderson supplied 17 points (7-18 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-4 FT), three rebounds, six assists, two blocks and one steal in 34 minutes during Monday's 109-88 loss to the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Henderson started alongside Malcolm Brogdon despite the return of Shaedon Sharpe, although it's worth noting that Sharpe had heavy restrictions. Henderson's NBA career got off to a slow start, but he has shown a lot of growth in recent games. In his last four appearances, the rookie averaged 20.3 points, 8.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 2.0 three-pointers.
Dec 30, 2023
Hits 20-point mark again
Henderson contributed 22 points (9-21 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, 11 assists, one block and one steal across 37 minutes during Friday's 134-128 victory over the Spurs.
ANALYSIS
Henderson has started Portland's last two games, both against the Spurs, and he has hit the 20-point mark in both contests. Even though he's looked raw at times, he seems to be finding his footing at the NBA level, though his path to a starting role is likely blocked as long as Malcolm Brogdon remains on the roster. Henderson averages 15.8 points per game over his last 10 appearances (two starts).
Dec 29, 2023
Drops career-high 25
Henderson closed Thursday's 118-105 loss to the Spurs with 25 points (8-23 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 6-6 FT), three rebounds, four assists and one steal over 36 minutes.
ANALYSIS
Making his first start since Nov. 1 with both Anfernee Simons (illness) and Shaedon Sharpe (thigh) in street clothes, Henderson rose to the occasion in a matchup with 2023 first overall pick Victor Wembanyama. Henderson, who was selected two picks later, set a new career scoring high while continuing a strong run from three-point range that has seen him shoot 40.6 percent (13-for-32) from beyond the arc over the last nine contests. The 19-year-old still has plenty of rough edges to his game -- he committed five fouls and six turnovers Thursday -- but Henderson's beginning to flash his upside on a more frequent basis.
Dec 28, 2023
Starting against Spurs
Henderson will draw the start against the Spurs on Thursday, Danny Marang of 1080 The Fan Portland reports.
ANALYSIS
Anfernee Simons will not play Thursday due to an illness, allowing Henderson to make his sixth start of the season. In five previous starts, Henderson averaged 8.8 points, 4.6 assists, 2.2 rebounds and 4.0 turnovers on 34.6 percent shooting from the field and 85.7 percent from the line.
Dec 27, 2023
Records double-double from bench
Henderson supplied 17 points (6-15 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), one rebound and 11 assists across 28 minutes during Tuesday's 130-113 victory over the Kings.
ANALYSIS
With Shaedon Sharpe (groin) sidelined, Henderson stepped up with sublime second-unit support. Exemplary play from Malcolm Brogdon has kept Hendersion trapped on the depth chart since his return from injury, but the team still views Henderson as the point guard of the future. He's shown his skills as a ball distributor with two consecutive double-digit assist totals.
Dec 23, 2023
Leads bench in scoring in loss
Henderson ended with 12 points (4-9 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-4 FT), one rebound, two assists and three steals in 23 minutes during Saturday's 126-106 loss to Golden State.
ANALYSIS
Henderson led the Portland bench in scoring and minutes played while recording a team-high-tying steals mark and connecting on a pair of threes in a losing effort. Henderson, who set a season high in steals, has recorded 10 or more points in 12 games this year.
Dec 17, 2023
Leads bench in scoring in loss
Henderson chipped in 13 points (5-10 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, two assists and one block in 24 minutes during Saturday's 131-120 loss to Dallas.
ANALYSIS
Henderson led all Portland bench players in scoring, shots made and minutes played while ending as one of four players with a double-digit point total. Henderson has provided a nice lift offensively this season, reaching double figures in scoring on 10 occasions including in five of his last six outings.
Dec 15, 2023
Double-double off bench
Henderson chipped in 23 points (9-21 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds, 10 assists and one steal across 35 minutes off the bench during Thursday's 122-114 loss to the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
The Blazers trailed by 27 points heading into the fourth quarter, allowing both teams to give plenty of run to their second units, but Henderson rallied the troops for a late surge to make the final score respectable. It's the first career double-double for the rookie, and now that he's healthy, Henderson is beginning to look like the third overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. Over his last eight games he's averaging 13.3 points, 4.4 assists, 3.0 boards and 1.5 threes, and those numbers could improve further as he grows more comfortable being the leader of Portland's bench crew.
Dec 12, 2023
Wakes up with 19 points
Henderson chipped in 19 points (8-16 FG, 3-4 3Pt), four rebounds, six assists and two blocks over 30 minutes during Monday's 132-127 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Henderson faded into the woodwork after returning from injury due to Malcolm Brogdon's (knee) effective play, but his proficient bench play is making a strong case for a return to the starting five. The rookie's box scores continue to improve since his return, and his 19 points marked his best scoring total since coming back to action.
Dec 3, 2023
Logs best game since injury
Henderson totaled 17 points (6-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, three assists and one steal in 21 minutes during Saturday's 118-113 overtime loss to the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Henderson's shot volume increased dramatically Saturday His return from the ankle injury is coming along, but he'll need to show dramatic improvement to get back into the starting lineup. Malcolm Brogdon's stint with the first unit has yielded superb results, and although the team views Henderson as the point guard of the future, the Trail Blazers also desperately need to string some wins together.
Dec 1, 2023
Comes off bench again in win
Henderson put up two points (1-8 FG, 0-5 3Pt), seven assists and one rebound in 22 minutes during Thursday's 103-95 win over the Cavaliers.
ANALYSIS
In his four appearances since returning to action from his nine-game absence, Henderson has come off the bench, averaging 22.0 minutes, 7.8 points, 4.0 assists, 2.8 rebounds and 0.3 steals while shooting a paltry 31.4 percent from the floor. The highly touted rookie has certainly endured some inconsistency to start the season, but it's possible the Trail Blazers could insert him back into the starting lineup as they prioritize their future.
Nov 24, 2023
Dishes seven assists in return
Henderson (ankle) finished with three points (1-7 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven assists and three rebounds across 17 minutes in Wednesday's 121-105 win over the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
After getting in some conditioning work in the G League on Tuesday, Henderson somewhat surprisingly returned to action for the Trail Blazers on Wednesday after missing the previous nine contests with a right ankle sprain. The Trail Blazers still elected to ease Henderson back into the fold in a bench role, and while the rookie was able to dish out seven assists in his limited minutes, he struggled with his shooting and turned the ball over three times. Henderson should see his minutes creep up in the Trail Blazers' upcoming games and will eventually recapture a spot in the starting lineup, but fantasy managers should still expect some inefficiency from the young point guard. Because of his poor shooting, Henderson will likely continue to retain far more value in points leagues than category leagues.
Nov 22, 2023
Coming off bench Wednesday
Henderson (ankle) is available for Wednesday's game versus the Jazz but won't start, Aaron J. Fentress of The Oregonian reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson has been upgraded from questionable to available Wednesday after missing the previous nine contests due to a right ankle sprain. The rookie guard was averaging 8.8 points, 4.6 assists and 2.2 rebounds in 28.2 minutes across his first five appearances before going down to injury. Malcolm Brogdon and Shaedon Sharpe will likely remain as Portland's starting backcourt, and it wouldn't be surprising for Henderson to operate on a minutes restriction against Utah.
Nov 22, 2023
Upgraded to questionable
Henderson (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Jazz.
ANALYSIS
Henderson sprained his right ankle Nov. 1 and has been sidelined since. He recently went to the G League for conditioning purposes, and it appears he responded well to the increased activity. Even if Henderson doesn't suit up Wednesday, his return to game action seems imminent, though he'll presumably be subject to restrictions at first.
Nov 21, 2023
Returns to NBA
The Trail Blazers recalled Henderson (ankle) from the Rip City Remix of the G league on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Henderson's stint in the G League was a short one, as the rookie guard likely practiced with the Rip City Remix as he gears up for a return from his ankle injury that has sidelined him since Nov. 1. Henderson won't be available for Portland's next two contests but will have his first chance to suit up in Sunday's matchup with Milwaukee.
Nov 21, 2023
Heads to G League for conditioning
Portland assigned Henderson (ankle) to the G League's Rip City Remix on Tuesday for conditioning purposes.
ANALYSIS
Henderson has been sidelined since spraining his right ankle against the Pistons on Nov. 1, but it appears he's nearing a return to game action. He'll presumably get a few practices in with the G League affiliate, and if everything goes well, the 2023 No. 3 overall pick could suit up again soon. Before the injury, Henderson was off to a rough start, averaging just 8.8 points, 4.6 assists, 2.2 rebounds and 4.0 turnovers per game while shooting 34.6 percent from the field, but he'll get plenty of opportunities to change that narrative once he's back to full strength.
Nov 10, 2023
Out two more weeks
Henderson (ankle) is expected to miss at least two more weeks, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson sprained his ankle against the Pistons on Nov. 1 and has been diagnosed with a bone bruise. He's now facing a multi-week absence that will likely keep him off the court until at least late November, but he'll continue to rehab over the next few weeks ahead of his return to action.
Nov 7, 2023
Remains out against Sacramento
Henderson (ankle) won't play in Wednesday's game versus the Kings.
ANALYSIS
Henderson's absence streak will extend to three games while dealing with a right ankle sprain. Malcolm Brogdon will likely remain in the starting lineup during the rookie guard's absence. Henderson will have extra time to recover ahead of Sunday's contest versus the Lakers.
Nov 4, 2023
Won't play against Memphis
Henderson has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Grizzlies, Sean Highkin of RoseGardenReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson is set to miss a second straight game with an ankle sprain, and there's no clarity on when he'll return to the hardwood. Malcolm Brogdon should remain as the starting point guard while Henderson is out.
Nov 2, 2023
Won't play Friday
Henderson (ankle) will not play in Friday's game against Memphis.
ANALYSIS
Henderson picked up his ankle sprain during Wednesday's game against the Pistons, but there hasn't been any information regarding the severity yet. Henderson's next chance to play will be Sunday in a rematch against Memphis. Look for Malcolm Brogdon to hold down the fort at point guard in the meantime.
Nov 1, 2023
Out for remainder of game
Henderson won't return to Wednesday's game versus the Pistons due to a right ankle sprain, Casey Holdahl of the Trail Blazers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson left Wednesday's game with 5:35 remaining in the third quarter with a right ankle sprain. The rookie guard had tallied 11 points and seven assists before exiting. Henderson's status for Friday's matchup with Memphis is uncertain.
Oct 30, 2023
Struggles once again
Henderson posted four points (2-7 FG, 0-4 3Pt), one rebound, three assists and one block over 26 minutes during Sunday's 126-98 loss to the 76ers.
ANALYSIS
Henderson didn't look good in his NBA debut despite the 11-point, four-assist performance, but things have gone downhill since then for the third overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. Henderson has failed to score in double digits in his last two games, but what's even worse is that he has posted a 9:13 assist-to-turnover total. He has enough talent in the world to bounce back and adjust, but this is not the start of the season many expected from him.

Scores 11 in NBA debut
Henderson racked up 11 points (5-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds and four assists in 36 minutes during Wednesday's 123-111 loss to the Clippers.
ANALYSIS
Although Henderson was unable to connect on any of his three-point attempts during Wednesday's regular-season opener, he still scored in double figures during his first taste of NBA action. The 19-year-old is tasked with replacing Damian Lillard in the Trail Blazers' backcourt this year, and while Henderson has the long-term potential to succeed, he could experience some growing pains as a rookie. He led the team in playing time Wednesday, but Portland also has Shaedon Sharpe and Malcolm Brogdon available off the bench to help take some of the pressure off the No. 3 overall pick.

Records eight points in loss
Henderson posted eight points (3-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five assists and a steal across 30 minutes during Monday's 117-106 loss to the Suns.
ANALYSIS
Replacing Damian Lillard is a tall order, but that's exactly what's expected of Henderson this season. The first-round pick is only 19 years old and doesn't have the advantage of seasoning at the college level, but he put in time with the G League Ignite and has all the skills to be Portland's long-term answer at the position. Monday's tepid shooting night is a good example of the growing pains he might experience in his rookie campaign. Shaedon Sharpe, Anfernee Simons and Malcolm Brogdon are all in the fold to carry the load in the backcourt, giving Henderson plenty of time to develop.

Impresses in second preseason game
Henderson tallied 22 points (8-14 FG, 2-5 3pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds and four assists over 31 minutes against Phoenix in a preseason loss Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Henderson posted a solid 7-6-1 line across 19 minutes in his NBA preseason debut Tuesday, and he was even more impressive against the Blazers on Thursday. The rookie point guard led Portland in scoring in the contest and contributed as a rebounder and distributor as well, though he also committed six turnovers and fouled out of the game. Like almost all rookies, Henderson will likely experience some growing pains as he adjusts to the NBA game, but he should get ample opportunity to produce and has already shown tremendous upside through two exhibition contests.

Solid in NBA preseason debut
Henderson tallied seven points (3-6 FG, 1-2 3PT), six assists and one rebound over 19 minutes Tuesday in a 106-66 exhibition win against New Zealand.
ANALYSIS
Henderson started at point guard and logged a team-high 19 minutes in the Blazers' first preseason contest of the campaign. The third overall pick in the 2023 draft played under control in his first taste of the NBA spotlight, making half his field-goal attempts and posting six assists to just one turnover, though he also committed four fouls during his limited time on the court. Henderson may defer primary scoring duties to Anfernee Simons -- who put up 14 points Tuesday -- throughout the campaign, but the rookie has the potential to be an impactful offensive player out the gate, especially with Damian Lillard now in Milwaukee.

Good to go for camp
General manager Joe Cronin said Monday that Henderson (shoulder) is good to go for the start of training camp, Danny Marang of 1080 The Fan Portland reports.
ANALYSIS
Henderson missed some time during Summer League play due to a shoulder issue, but he's moved past the issue for the start of training camp. The No. 3 overall pick in this year's draft should be available when the Trail Blazers begin preseason action on Oct. 12.

Remains out against Charlotte
Henderson (shoulder) is out for Tuesday's Summer League game against the Hornets, Sam Perley of the Hornets' official site reports.

Sidelined due to shoulder injury
Henderson (shoulder) won't play in Sunday's game against the Spurs, Chris Haynes of Turner Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
The matchup was highly anticipated, as No. 3 pick Henderson was slated to go head-to-head with No. 1 pick Victor Wembenyama. However, after Henderson tweaked his shoulder in Friday's Summer League opener, the Trail Blazers are going to give the point guard some extra time to rest and recover from the injury. Henderson's next chance to play will come Tuesday against No. 2 pick Brandon Miller and the Hornets.

Tweaks shoulder Friday
Henderson suffered a right shoulder injury during Friday's Summer League game against Houston and will not return.
ANALYSIS
Henderson was putting on quite the show before picking up the injury, producing 15 points, six assists, five rebounds, one steal and one three-pointer in 21 minutes of action. Hopefully he will recover in time for Sunday's showdown against Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs, but no specifics about the injury are known just yet.
