DeVries produced 22 points (8-14 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds and one steal in 32 minutes during Sunday's 77-51 victory over Bradley.

DeVries has been the leading scorer for Drake this season at 19.0 ppg and has also managed to improve upon that in the postseason, posting games of 27, 12 and 22 games (20.3 ppg) through three outings in the MVC Tournament. The son of head coach Darrian DeVries, Tucker is the only underclassmen in an experienced Drake starting lineup and will be the driving factor if the team is able to pull a first-round upset.

DeVries (elbow) logged 11 points (3-13 FG, 1-8 3Pt, 4-5 FT) and seven rebounds across 34 minutes during Drake's 88-81 win Wednesday versus Northern Iowa.

Fortunately for DeVries, he sat out only once because of his elbow's previous infection. The sophomore has 5.7 rebounds averaged since January. DeVries is expected to continue logging at least five boards per game while part of Drake's starting lineup.

DeVries will be out during the Bulldogs' game Sunday at Belmont because of an elbow infection.

According to a statement from the Bulldogs, DeVries was hospitalized after their game Tuesday versus Indiana State. The sophomore's hospital released him Sunday. Until further notice, DeVries is out indefinitely.

DeVries had 25 points (9-14 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 3-5 FT), six rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal over 38 minutes during Saturday's 77-64 victory over UIC.

DeVries was already an impact player as a freshman for Drake after averaging 13.9 ppg and nearly helping the Bulldogs earn a NCAA Tournament bid. He's taking his scoring to new heights this season, as he has yet to put up less than 14 points in a game and is currently averaging 21.3 ppg -- good for No. 12 in the nation entering Monday's slate of games. Drake is off to a 7-1 start due largely to his efforts and will again set its sights on a NCAA Tournament berth out of the Missouri Valley Conference.

DeVries (ankle) is available Wednesday versus IUPUI, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.

Fortunately for DeVries, his ankle was not damaged enough to prevent him from participating in the Bulldogs' first game of their 2022-23 season.

DeVries won't play in Thursday's exhibition game against Minnesota-Duluth, Alyssa Hertel of the Des Moines Register reports.

DeVries -- who was named the MVC's Preseason Player of the Year -- will be sidelined along with four other teammates for Thursday's exhibition. Provided the issue isn't serious, he should be available to take the floor when the regular season tips off against IUPUI on Nov. 9.

DeVries was selected as the Missouri Valley Conference Preseason Player of the Year on Wednesday, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

In his first season with Drake, DeVries earned MVC Freshman of the Year, All-MVC second team and All-MVC Newcomer team honors while leading the team with 13.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per game a season ago. The 6-foot-7 sophomore figures to pick up right where he left off as the team's focal point throughout the upcoming campaign.
