Not starter for Week 2
Barnett will not be the Dukes' starting quarterback for their game Saturday at Virginia, Mike Barber of the Richmond Times-Dispatch reports.
ANALYSIS
Dukes head coach Curt Cignetti announced Monday that Jordan McCloud would be their starting quarterback for Week 2. Barnett will be demoted to backup duty after completing less than 30 percent of his passes for 15 yards and an interception Saturday.

Splits time in opener
Barnett was 3-for-11 passing with 15 yards and an interception and rushed five times for 28 yards and a touchdown on the ground during Saturday's win over Bucknell.
ANALYSIS
After initially being listed as a co-starter with Jordan McCloud and Brett Griffis, Barnett was eventually handed the starting bid but was entirely lackluster Saturday. He completed just 27 percent of his pass attempts and threw an interception prior to being replaced by McCloud mid-way through the third. Considering Barnett's ineffectiveness and the timeshare under center, Barnett should remain out of fantasy considerations for next week's game against Virginia.

Set to start opener
Barnett will start Saturday's season opener versus Bucknell.
ANALYSIS
Barnett was listed as a co-starter alongside Jordan McCloud and Brett Griffis, but he was seemingly the favorite to win the gig. The redshirt freshman has attempted just one pass so far in his college career, completing for 14 yards, and he rushed four times for 15 yards over his two appearances last year.

Listed as co-starter
Barnett III is listed as a co-starter for Saturday's game against Bucknell, Dave Riggert of Harrisonburg Radio Group reports.
ANALYSIS
Barnett III is one-of-three quarterbacks listed as a co-starter, running alongside Jordan McCloud and Brett Griffs. The redshirt freshman quarterback appeared in two games last season, throwing for 14 yards (1-for-1) while adding on four carries for 15 rushing yards. It remains to be seen what utilization level James Madison intends for the three listed co-starters.
