Loftis was 20-for-37 passing for 248 yards, two touchdowns and one interception during Saturday's 30-19 win against Pittsburgh.
ANALYSIS
The freshman quarterback threw his fourth passing touchdown pass after connecting with Jalon Calhoun on a 15-yard pass. Loftis has gotten four starts while filling in for Riley Leonard (ankle), completing 54.3 percent of his passes for 793 yards and eight touchdowns (three interceptions).

Loftis completed 26 of 45 passes for 278 yards, two touchdowns and one interception during Saturday's 30-27 loss versus Virginia.
ANALYSIS
Loftis has filled in for starter Riley Leonard (ankle) the last few weeks and finished with his highest passing yards total across his last three outings. The 6-foot-3 quarterback will likely get another start against Pittsburgh next week. He has thrown for six touchdowns and two interceptions in his three starts.

Solid performance in 2OT loss
Loftis completed 16 of 28 passes for 189 yards and three touchdowns during Saturday's 47-45 overtime defeat to North Carolina. He also had six rushes for eight yards with one touchdown.
ANALYSIS
With Riley Leonard continuing to battle an ankle injury, Loftis was called upon for his second start. Loftis was much better on Saturday than previously in his start against Wake Forest. Loftis accounted for four total touchdowns and kept the Blue Devils in the game until the very end narrowly coming up short after failing to convert a 2PT-conversion to send the game to 3OT.

The true freshman has appeared in several games this season, but attempted his first career passes last week against Duke, going 3-of-5 for 30 yards. With starter Riley Leonhard set to miss several weeks,Loftis has been handed the keys for the foreseeable future. The quarterback was a three-star prospect coming out of high school.
