Impressive on 19th Birthday
Arnold was 11-for-11 passing for 114 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 73-0 victory versus Arkansas State. He also had five rushes for 39 yards with one touchdown.
ANALYSIS
Arnold was able to see his first significant action as a collegiate player as Oklahoma was blowing out their opponent. Arnold played for the majority of the second half on his 19th birthday. He was perfect passing and accumulated two touchdowns in his first game. He'll be looming all season and will play if Dillon Gabriel ever struggles. With that said, Gabriel had a monster performance against the Red Wolves, so it won't be happening anytime soon. Oklahoma will play SMU next week in a game that should have a ton of points.
