More carries as secondary rusher
Love received seven carries for 47 rushing yards in Notre Dame's 56-23 win at Stanford on Nov. 25.
ANALYSIS
After Audric Estime, Love has been the Irish's next reliable ball carrier. If Estime decides to declare for the NFL draft, the freshman could be considered the number one running back for 2024. Love might get an audition in that role in this season's bowl game if Estime does to opt out.

Getting touches
Love only had 11 rushing yards on three carries in the 31-23 loss at Clemson on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Love has 284 rushing yards on 45 carries so far in 2023. Unless Audric Estime gets injured, the freshman will be battling for touches in the final games of the season behind Estime. If Estime opts to enter the NFL draft, Love will be one of the prime beneficiaries next season for carries.

Leads Irish ground game
Love continues to show off the Notre Dame future by running for 37 yards on five carries in leading an Irish ground attack that was limited in the 33-20 loss to Louisville on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Love also had two catches for 16 yards against the Cards. The freshman is still behind junior Audric Estime in the running back depth chart, but it would not be a shock that in one of the final six games (including a bowl game) where Love leads the running game again. The freshman has a good chance to add to his resume against Southern California on Saturday, Oct. 14. The Trojans run defense is at the bottom third in the country against the ground game.

ANALYSIS
The freshman is second on the depth charts for the Irish only behind Audric Estime. Love has 220 yards on 31 carries in the six games in 2023. Love is showing some inklings of a possible key running back later this season and for the future. The freshman has only one touchdown on the season, that coming against Tennessee State on Sept. 2.
