Becht completed 8 of 12 passes for 230 yards and three touchdowns during Saturday's 42-35 win against Kansas State.

Becht, a Florida-native, played in his first game ever involving snow. It didn't slow down the Iowa State offense at all as they rolled off 42 points and Becht tied a season-high with three touchdown passes. The redshirt freshman has been a pleasant surprise for the Cyclones this year and will have the opportunity to end it on a high note in a bowl game.

Becht completed 24 of 32 passes for 323 yards, two touchdowns and one interception during Saturday's 26-16 loss versus Texas. He also had five rushes for -14 yards.

Becht recorded his second 300-yard passing game of the season. He's been better than anticipated with 2,444 yards and 20 total touchdowns versus eight interceptions during the 2023 season. Iowa State will finish the regular season at Kansas State.

Becht was 15-for-23 passing for 203 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 45-13 win against Brigham Young. He also had five rushes for nine yards.

It was smooth sailing for Becht against the Cougars as Iowa State had no problems moving the ball on the road. Becht threw for multiple scores for the fifth time this season. Iowa State could have perhaps the best defense in the conference which makes life easier for Becht. It will not be easy next week as the Cyclones host a great Texas team.

Becht completed 20 of 26 passes for 216 yards and one interception during Saturday's 28-21 defeat to Kansas. He also had eight rushes for negative five yards with one touchdown.

If not for his third rushing touchdown of the season, it would have been one of Becht's worst performances of the year. He now has at least one interception in five of nine games, and it appears that better defenses are able to neutralize his impact on the game. Iowa State should be able to get back on track offensively at BYU next week.

Becht was 19-for-31 passing for 238 yards, one touchdown and one interception during Saturday's 30-18 win versus Baylor.

Becht had thrown at least one touchdown pass in eight straight games. Over the last few weeks, he has played more of a game manager role which has worked well for the Cyclones as they are 4-1 in the conference. Becht will likely be asked to do a bit more over the next month of the season as they play tougher competition. That starts this next week with Kansas.

Becht was 15-for-25 passing for 241 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 30-10 win against Cincinnati. He also had 10 rushes for 12 yards with one touchdown.

Becht added his second rushing score of the season and also has at least one passing score in all seven games this year. The redshirt freshman wasn't expecting to start this season but has been a pleasant surprise for the Cyclones and is getting better as the year goes on. Iowa State is on a bye next week before playing at Baylor.

Becht completed 16 of 28 passes for 138 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 27-14 win against TCU.

Becht extended his streak of games with at least one touchdown to six this year. The redshirt freshman has 11 total scores versus five interceptions and is starting to play more consistent football. Iowa State leaned more heavily on their run game against the Horned Frogs and it's something they are likely to do moving forward. They'll play at Cincinnati next week.

Becht completed 15 of 33 passes for 188 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions during Saturday's 50-20 defeat versus Oklahoma. He also had five rushes for 13 yards.

Just five plays into the game, Becht committed an interception which was returned for a touchdown by the Oklahoma defense. It was a tough day for the redshirt freshman against one of the best teams in the conference. Interceptions have been a problem on the season as he has five this year, all of them occurring over the last four weeks. He'll look to turn it around against TCU next week.

Becht completed 27 of 38 passes for 348 yards and three touchdowns during Saturday's 34-27 win over Oklahoma State.

Becht looked like an entirely different player with three touchdowns against the Cowboys. He didn't make any mistakes and the Iowa State offense had their best performance of the year. He particularly had chemistry with Jaylin Noel and Daniel Jackson as they combined for 14 catches for 236 yards and three touchdowns. Iowa State will play at Oklahoma next week which has one of the best defenses in the conference.

Becht was 17-for-24 passing for 233 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions during Saturday's 10-7 defeat against Ohio. He also had nine rushes for 31 yards.

Becht had a rough outing at Ohio and threw a late interception which sealed the game up for the Bobcats. In his last two contests, Becht has committed more turnovers (threes) than touchdowns scored (two). It could be a long year for the Cyclones. They'll start the conference season against Oklahoma State next week.

Becht was 23-for-44 passing for 203 yards, one touchdown and one interception during Saturday's 20-13 loss versus Iowa.

Becht had a rough afternoon against the Hawkeyes which was expected as Iowa has one of the best defenses in the nation. Prior to the game, Becht had never attempted more than 13 passes in any collegiate contest. He should have a much better performance at Ohio next week.

Becht completed 10-of-13 passes for 113 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 10 yards and a score on two carries in Saturday's 30-9 win over Northern Iowa.

Becht impressed in his start against the Panthers which means he'll likely get another opportunity against Iowa next week. That will be a much tougher test, so buyer beware for fantasy purposes.

Both Becht and JJ Kohl are expected to see the field in the game, but it appears Becht will get the first chance to prove his worth. In limited action last season, he completed seven of his 15 pass attempts for 65 yards and an interception.

Becht is listed as the co-starter on the team's Week 1 depth chart, CycloneFanatic.com reports.

Through fall camp it still is not clear to the coaches as to whether Becht or JJ Kohl will start Week 1. With an inferior opponent on top in Northern Iowa, no matter who actually starts the game, both should see playing time and then the position will likely be evaluated going into Week 2 against Iowa.

Becht is competing neck-and-neck with JJ Kohl for the Cylones' starting job under center Week 1 versus Northern Iowa, Rob Gray of Cyclone Fanatic reports.

Becht has the smallest of edges in terms of experience on his side, completing seven of his 15 pass attempts for 65 yards last season, but it's likely not enough to put much weight into. Kohl is a highly-touted freshman, and it's a competition that may not be officially settled until at least game week, if not the day of the opener.
