Braxton Berrios Injury News & Updates
Keep up with the latest injuries from the Bills vs Texans game on Thursday with our National Football League injury report.Nov 16, 2025
Won't play against Tennessee
Berrios (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Berrios will observe Sunday's AFC South tilt in street clothes while the Texans go with five active wide receivers in Nico Collins, Jayden Higgins, Christian Kirk, Jaylin Noel and Xavier Hutchinson. Berrios' next opportunity to play is Thursday against Buffalo.
Nov 10, 2025
Minimal playing time in win
Berrios was untargeted and returned one kickoff for 32 yards in Sunday's 36-29 win over Jacksonville in Week 10.
ANALYSIS
Berrios, who battled through a chest injury during the preparation for Week 10, was on the field for one snap on offense and five on special teams. The return of injured wideouts have marginalized Berrios, who has played just one snap on offense that last two games.
Nov 6, 2025
Able to practice in full Thursday
Berrios (chest) was a full practice participant Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Berrios has been dealing with a chest injury since last week and logged a limited practice this Wednesday. However, he was able to return to a full session Thursday, suggesting that he'll be fine for Sunday's clash against Jacksonville. Berrios has worked as both a depth receiver and a kick/punt returner during the three games during which he has been active this season.
Nov 5, 2025
Back on injury report
Berrios (chest) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Berrios was on the injury report ahead of Sunday's game against the Broncos with the same injury. He managed to play after also starting the week with a limited practice, so his status for a Week 10 matchup against the Jaguars doesn't appear to be in significant jeopardy yet.
Nov 3, 2025
Given return duties only
Berrios returned two kickoffs for 49 yards and did not appear on offense in Sunday's 18-15 loss to Denver in Week 9.
ANALYSIS
After recording five catches Week 8, when Houston was without wideouts Nico Collins and Christian Kirk, Berrios was limited to special-teams-duty only with Sunday's returns of the top two wideouts. If the Texans' season slips away -- they are 3-5 and outside the playoffs for now -- any role for the veteran Berrios could disappear if the losses pile up in the second half of the season.
Oct 31, 2025
Green light for Week 9
Berrios (chest) does not carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
Berrios has been given the all clear to play Week 9 after logging a full practice Friday. He played a meaningful role on offense during the Texans' Week 8 win over the 49ers and finished with five catches on as many targets for 38 yards. However, Berrios will likely be limited to a return on special teams for Week 9 due to the imminent returns of Nico Collins (concussion) and Christian Kirk (hamstring).
Oct 31, 2025
Limited participant Thursday
Berrios (chest) was a limited participant at Thursday's practice.
ANALYSIS
That's two consecutive limited practices for Berrios leading up to Week 9 against Denver. He was a significant performer as a fill-in last week during a win over the 49ers, catching five of five targets for 38 yards, but a repeat effort appears unlikely. Even if healthy and ready to go Sunday, Berrios' usage as a receiver is expected to be curtailed. That's because injured wideouts Nico Collins (concussion) and Christian Kirk (hamstring), both of whom practiced fully Thursday, look like they'll be available.
Oct 29, 2025
Tending to chest issue
Berrios (chest) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
It's not obvious when Berrios hurt his chest, but that he was able to practice in some capacity Wednesday signals it's not too serious. He'll get two more chances to practice in full before Houston publishes its last practice report of the week Friday.
Oct 27, 2025
Increases production
Berrios secured all five targets for 38 yards in Sunday's 26-15 win over the 49ers in Week 8.
ANALYSIS
Berrios was active for the second time this season -- both coming in the last two weeks -- as the Texans navigate injuries to Nico Collins (concussion) and Christian Kirk (hamstring). His production against San Francisco was a vast improvement over last week, when Berrios caught one of three targets for minus-1 yard. Another difference from Week 7 to 8 is that he was replaced by Jaylin Noel as the team's punt returner against the 49ers. Berrios has extensive history as a returner and could eventually reclaim that role when Collins and Kirk are ready to go.
Oct 21, 2025
Makes season debut
Berrios caught one of three targets for minus-one yard and returned three punts for 25 yards in Monday's 27-19 loss to Seattle in Week 7.
ANALYSIS
Berrios joined the active roster for the first time this season, taking the roster spot of the inactive Christian Kirk (hamstring). It was a tough outing for Berrios against a raucous Seattle defense, which smothered Houston's offense. He also misjudged a punt, which he thought would be a touchback but resulted in the Texans' first possession beginning at their own 4-yard line. Berrios could get a chance at redemption Week 8, as top receiver Nico Collins (concussion) exited Monday's game, which could leave the team short on wideouts next week against San Francisco.
Sep 28, 2025
Inactive Sunday
Berrios (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Titans.
ANALYSIS
With Berrios a healthy scratch once again Sunday, Nico Collins, Christian Kirk, Xavier Hutchinson, Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel will handle Houston's Week 4 WR duties. Even when he's active on game days, Berrios is most likely to make his impact as a returner.
Sep 21, 2025
Inactive Sunday
Berrios (coach's decision) isn't suiting up Sunday against Jacksonville.
ANALYSIS
Berrios missed the first two weeks of the campaign due to a hamstring issue but wasn't given an injury designation heading into this weekend. With that in mind, his inactive status Sunday may be more tied to his depth role in the passing game and his lack of an opportunity to build chemistry within the offense thus far. It's also notable that fellow wideout Christian Kirk is active Week 3 after missing Houston's first two games with a hamstring injury of his own.
Sep 19, 2025
Cleared to play
Berrios (hamstring) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Berrios is set to make his season debut after missing the first two games with a hamstring issue. He's unlikely to see much action on offense, but Berrios could handle some kickoff and punt returns.
Sep 17, 2025
Starts week limited
Berrios (hamstring) was limited in Wednesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Berrios has missed both of the Texans' first two games of the season but is expected to return for Sunday's contest against the Jaguars. It remains to be seen what his role will be with the team, but he'll provide depth at wide receiver and as a return man.
Sep 16, 2025
Expected to play Week 3
Head coach DeMeco Ryans said Tuesday that he expects Berrios (hamstring) to be available for the Texans' Week 3 AFC South clash against the Jaguars on Sunday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios missed the first two games of the regular season due to a hamstring injury, but he is trending towards making his 2025 regular-season debut Sunday. The 2018 sixth-rounder signed a one-year contract with the Texans in March after spending the last two seasons with the Dolphins. When he does take the field, Berrios projects to serve in a rotational role on kickoff and punt returns and as a depth piece at wide receiver.
Sep 13, 2025
Missing Week 2
Berrios (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Monday night's contest against the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
Berrios' absence in Week 2 comes as no surprise, as the first-year Texan was unable to practice all week after missing the team's Week 1 loss to the Rams due to a hamstring injury. With Berrios set to miss his second consecutive game Sunday, Jaylin Noel will likely serve as Houston's top punt returner.
Sep 12, 2025
DNP again Friday
Berrios (hamstring) remained sidelined at Friday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Berrios has yet to practice this season and looks poised to miss his second straight game to open the 2025 campaign. With Christian Kirk (hamstring) also hobbled, the Texans once again may use a committee approach at wide receiver behind Nico Collins this coming Monday night versus Tampa Bay.
Sep 11, 2025
Not practicing Thursday
Berrios (hamstring) is not participating in Thursday's practice, Sam Warren of the Houston Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios' hamstring injury prevented him from suiting up Week 1 against the Rams, and he remains absent from practice heading into Monday's game against the Buccaneers. With Christian Kirk (hamstring) also still not practicing Thursday, the Texans' wide receiver corps could again be notably depleted Week 2.
Sep 5, 2025
Out for Week 1
Berrios (hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Rams.
ANALYSIS
According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, there's optimism from the team Berrios will be able to return relatively soon. With both Berrios and Christian Kirk (hamstring) out for Week 1, the Texans are expected to lean on Nico Collins and rookies Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel against the Rams. Veteran Justin Watson is also in line for an increased offensive role.
Sep 4, 2025
Second straight DNP on Thursday
Berrios (hamstring) isn't practicing Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios and Christian Kirk have both sat out consecutive practices due to hamstring injuries, putting their availability in jeopardy for Sunday's regular-season opener against the Rams. Rookies Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel could be on track to operate in three-receiver sets alongside Nico Collins, and Noel could also get a chance to return punts if Berrios sits out.
Sep 3, 2025
Nursing hamstring injury
Berrios did not participate in Wednesday's practice due to a hamstring injury, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear when Berrios sustained the injury, but it was severe enough for him to miss Wednesday's practice. He'll have two more days to return to practice and fade an injury tag heading into Sunday's regular-season opener against the Rams in Los Angeles. Berrios signed a one-year deal with the Texans in March and is slated to see most of his playing time on special teams as a returner.
Aug 10, 2025
Scores lone TD in preseason opener
Berrios caught all three targets for 33 yards including a 14-yard touchdown reception in Saturday's 20-10 preseason loss to the Vikings. He also had a 24-yard kickoff return and nine-yard punt return.
ANALYSIS
Berrios did most of the work on a misdirection play, catching the ball near the line of scrimmage and scooting up field before lowering his shoulder at the goal line. His primary job for the Texans is expected to be that of a returner, but the touchdown catch was a significant moment in Berrios' first game back since tearing his ACL last season while with Miami.
Jul 23, 2025
Begins battle for roster spot
Berrios (knee) returned to practice Wednesday, Jonathan Alexander and Sam Warren of the Houston Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios made his practice debut Wednesday and played with the second and third-team quarterbacks. He reportedly had a good day, which he'll likely need to stack to make the roster. Berrios is also a good special teams contributor, which could be another path to him sticking with the team.
Mar 10, 2025
Going to Houston on one-year deal
The Texans are slated to ink Berrios (knee) to a one-year, $2 million contract, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios, who is recovering from a left ACL tear sustained Week 7 of the 2024 season, reaches agreement on a contract with Houston just days after the team's move to trade for former Jaguars wideout Christian Kirk (collarbone). He suited up for 16 regular-season games with the Dolphins back in 2023, securing 27 of 33 targets for 238 yards and one score. Berrios is capable of contributing both as a depth wideout and on special teams, including in the return game.
Dec 12, 2024
Recovering from ACL tear
The left knee injury that Berrios suffered in the Dolphins' Week 7 loss to the Colts was a torn ACL, Nick Pugliese of the Palm Beach Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Brandon Liguori of the Miami Herald, Berrios waited until Oct. 30 to undergo surgery, presumably so the inflammation in his knee could subside. He suffered the knee injury during a kick return in the Oct. 20 game and was placed on injured reserve a day later, ending his season with no receptions on four targets to go with 179 combined return yards over six appearances. Berrios will become a free agent this offseason and will likely be out through the entirety of the spring, but he could catch on with a team ahead of training camp if his rehab process has gone smoothly.
Oct 21, 2024
Lands on IR
The Dolphins placed Berrios (knee) on injured reserve Monday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios sustained a knee injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss to the Colts, and being placed on IR on Monday suggests the issue is significant. The 29-year-old will now be forced to miss the Dolphins' next four games, with his earliest possible return coming in Week 12 against the Patriots. After Berrios' placement on IR, the Dolphins have just four wide receivers on their active roster: Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Odell Beckham and rookie Malik Washington. Expect De'Von Achane and Washington to serve as Miami's top kick and punt returners, respectively, until Berrios can return.
Oct 20, 2024
Might have significant injury
Berrios' left-knee injury might be "significant," Josh Moser of WSVN-TV in Miami reports.
ANALYSIS
Miami's punt and kick returner will get an MRI on his knee Monday, per Moser. Berrios suffered the injury during Sunday's loss to the Colts. De'Von Achane and Malik Washington might be next in line to handle return duties for the Dolphins.
Oct 20, 2024
Won't return vs. Indy
Berrios (knee) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Colts.
ANALYSIS
Berrios was injured during a kickoff return in the fourth quarter. He'll end the day with 26 kick-return yards and 18 punt-return yards. De'Von Achane and Malik Washington are candidates to handle return duties for the rest of Sunday's game.
Oct 4, 2024
Will play Week 5
Berrios (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Patriots, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios practiced fully Friday after a pair of limited sessions to gain clearance for Sunday's showdown between AFC East cellar-dwellers. Berrios will play his usual role in the slot while returning both kickoffs and punts, but Miami's ceiling on offense remains low with Tyler Huntley set to start under center, and most of Huntley's throws will likely be directed to Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.
Oct 2, 2024
Limited Wednesday
Berrios (ankle) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios appears to have sustained an ankle injury during the Dolphins' Week 4 loss to the Titans, despite playing 26 total snaps (14 offensive and 12 on special teams) and logging 27 punt-return yards. The Miami product's participation Thursday and Friday will provide a better indication of his potential availability in Week 5, as the Dolphins travel to New England.
Oct 1, 2024
Not targeted in Week 4 loss
Berrios was not targeted during Miami's 31-12 loss to the Titans on Monday night.
ANALYSIS
Berrios logged his first game of the regular season without a target Monday. He remains without a catch through four appearances, though, despite having drawn four targets combined in the first three weeks of the season. Berrios, and the Dolphins' passing game as a whole, will look to bounce back Sunday in a road divisional matchup against the Patriots.
Sep 24, 2024
Can't secure only target Week 3
Berrios did not catch his only target during Sunday's 24-3 loss to the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
Berrios remains without a catch through three regular-season games, though he has been targeted four times. He made a bigger impact on special teams versus Seattle, returning one kickoff for 31 yards and one punt for 44 yards. He'll look to make more of his opportunities on offense versus Tennessee on Sunday.
Sep 13, 2024
Held without a catch again
Berrios could not secure his only target during Thursday's 31-10 loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Berrios has yet to record a catch through two contests this season, with three targets in that span. Notably, both Grant DuBose and Robbie Chosen (practice squad elevation) drew more targets than Berrios Thursday. He's dropped off the fantasy radar in even deeper formats heading into a Week 3 road matchup against Seattle.
Sep 8, 2024
Can't secure either of two targets
Berrios failed to secure either of his two targets during the Dolphins' 20-17 win over the Jaguars on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Berrios was unable to make an impact in the receiving game despite working as the No. 3 wideout behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. He did return two punts for two yards, though. Berrios' next chance to produce will come Week 2 on Thursday versus Buffalo, though his opportunities could dip if rookie Malik Washington (oblique) manages to get healthy enough to make his NFL debut.
Aug 19, 2024
Returns two kickoffs in win
Berrios (undisclosed) did not secure either of his two targets during Saturday's 13-6 preseason win over the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
Berrios didn't do much in the receiving game, but he did return two kickoffs for 41 yards (20 and 21 yards each). His lone punt return was a fair catch. Rookie sixth-round pick Malik Washington was also involved in the return game, as he brought back five punts for 35 yards. Berrios missed time due to an undisclosed injury earlier in training camp but is now demonstrably healthy.
Aug 7, 2024
Not practicing due to minor issue
Berrios is dealing with a minor, unspecified injury, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The slot receiver and return specialist didn't practice Wednesday and presumably won't play in Friday's preseason game against the Falcons. It sounds like Berrios should be ready well before the start of the regular season.
Mar 16, 2024
Returns to Miami
Berrios signed a one-year contract worth up to $3 million with the Dolphins on Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPNreports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios tallied just seven receptions for 44 yards in the Dolphins' final nine contests, which is surprising given he played at minimum 40 percent of the offensive snaps in every contest. Expect the veteran to primarily be the team's return man once again, a role that allowed him to tally nearly 700 total return yards last season.
Jan 11, 2024
Wraps regular season with two grabs
Berrios secured both of his targets for nine yards during Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Berrios ended the regular season with a minor role on offense, even with Jaylen Waddle (ankle) sidelined, as has been usual of late. The 28-year-old came on strong out of the gate, recording 146 of his 238 yards, and his only touchdown, during the Dolphins' first four games of the year, but down the stretch his best contributions came in the return game. In all. Berrios secured 27 of 33 targets for 238 yards and one score across 16 appearances for Miami, while also rushing once for 11 yards. With his one-year deal coming to a closes, Berrios has every incentive to try and impress during the playoffs, starting with Saturday's wild-card matchup against the Chiefs.
Jan 1, 2024
Little impact in blowout loss
Berrios secured both of his targets for 10 yards during Sunday's 56-19 loss to the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
Berrios also racked up 74 yards as a kick returner. He saw more opportunity for targets with Jaylen Waddle (ankle) sidelined, but it was Cedrick Wilson who found the end zone (two targets) while working behind top wideout Tyreek Hill. It's conceivable that Waddle misses Week 18's game against the Bills, in which case Berrios will once again be in position to handle a more notable depth role.
Dec 12, 2023
Draws two targets vs. Titans
Berrios secured both of his targets for 13 yards during Monday's 28-27 loss to Tennessee.
ANALYSIS
Berrios once again operated as Miami's top return man, but with Tyreek Hill (ankle) having to move between the field and the sideline Monday, he also saw a slight uptick of involvement on offense. In the event that Hill is forced to miss the Dolphins' divisional matchup against the Jets in Week 15, Berrios and fellow depth wideout Cedrick Wilson could both be thrust into larger roles behind Jaylen Waddle.
Nov 27, 2023
Held without a catch
Berrios failed to secure his only target during Friday's 34-13 win over the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Berrios made an impact in the return game, fielding both kickoffs and punts, but his involvement in the passing game remains marginal despite handling 54 percent of offensive snaps. He remains an ancillary option for Miami heading into a Week 13 matchup at Washington.
Nov 21, 2023
Likely to play in Week 12
Berrios (hamstring) was listed as a full participant on the Dolphins' estimated injury report Tuesday, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios was unable to play in Week 11 due to a hamstring injury, but he appears to be trending towards a return for Friday's matchup with the Jets. The wide receiver has reeled in three catches for 15 yards over the last three games he's appeared in.
Nov 19, 2023
Won't suit up Sunday
Berrios (hamstring) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
Berrios is one of two Dolphins depth receivers who will miss Sunday's contest, as Chase Claypool is also sidelined after undergoing a minor knee surgery while Miami was on bye Week 10. Though Miami listed Berrios as questionable heading into the weekend, he wasn't able to gain clearance after he managed nothing more than limited practice participation Wednesday through Friday. With Berrios and Claypool out of the mix for Week 11, the Dolphins will turn to Cedrick Wilson, River Cracraft and Robbie Chosen as their depth options behind starting wideouts Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.
Nov 17, 2023
Questionable for Week 11
Berrios (hamstring) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios logged limited practices Thursday and Friday after opening the week as a non-participant Wednesday. Per Wingfield, coach Mike McDaniel said earlier Friday that Berrios has a chance "for sure" to play Sunday, but there's a chance the team will keep the wide receiver out to be proactive about his recovery from the hamstring injury, through which Berrios played in the Week 9 loss to Kansas City prior to Miami's Week 10 bye.
Nov 16, 2023
Limited Thursday
Berrios (hamstring) was officially limited in Thursday's practice, Anthony Galaviz of The Fresno Bee reports.
ANALYSIS
It puts Berrios on track to play against the Raiders after he missed practice Wednesday. Berrios has appeared in all nine games this season, recording a 20-194-1 receiving line on 25 targets as an ancillary option behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.
Nov 16, 2023
Back on practice field
Berrios (hamstring) returned to practice Thursday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios missed Wednesday's session, but his return to the field a day later has him trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's game against the Raiders. The Dolphins' upcoming injury report will relay whether Berrios practiced fully or was limited Thursday.
Nov 15, 2023
Misses practice Wednesday
Berrios (hamstring) didn't practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Coming off the Dolphins' bye, Berrios continues to manage a hamstring injury ahead of Sunday's game against the Raiders. That said, Berrios' fantasy impact has been modest this season, apart from a six-catch effort in Week 4. Overall, he's caught 20 of his 25 targets for 194 yards and a TD in nine games.
Nov 7, 2023
Held without a catch
Berrios was not targeted during Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Chiefs.
ANALYSIS
Berrios managed to suit up and play through his hamstring injury despite being officially listed as questionable, but it was Cedrick Wilson who handled the majority of No. 3 receiver work for Miami. With just three catches for 15 yards on five targets across his last three games, it's clear that Berrios' role on offense has diminished with Wilson's emergence and the arrival of Chase Claypool. When the Dolphins take on the Raiders in Week 11, after a bye, Berrios will once again stand to do most of his damage on special teams.
Nov 5, 2023
Suiting up in Frankfurt
Berrios (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the Chiefs in Frankfurt, Germany.
ANALYSIS
A mid-week addition to the Dolphins' injury report, Berrios was a limited participant in practices Thursday and Friday before taking a questionable tag into the weekend. The Dolphins were ultimately encouraged enough by how Berrios looked during those practice sessions to keep him active Sunday, so he should be ready to handle his usual role as the No. 3 receiver behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Through the first nine games of the season, Berrios has recorded 20 receptions for 194 yards and a touchdown on 25 targets to go with 11 yards on his lone carry.
Nov 3, 2023
Questionable for Week 9
Berrios (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After missing practice Wednesday, Berrios was limited Thursday and Friday and will approach Sunday's 9:30 a.m. ET contest in Frankfurt with an official 'questionable' designation. Through eight games to date, Berrios has caught 20 of his 25 targets for 194 yards and a TD, a pace that limits his fantasy utility to deeper PPR formats.
Nov 2, 2023
Limited by hamstring Thursday
Berrios (hamstring) was limited in Thursday's practice, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It's a downgrade for Berrios after he practiced fully Wednesday. Mid-week injuries or downgrades are rarely a good sign for a player's Sunday availability, but Berrios will have a chance Friday to get back on the field. If Berrios would need to miss, Cedrick Wilson and Chase Claypool could see increased playing time against the Chiefs.
Oct 23, 2023
Lowest receiving yards of season
Berrios secured one of two targets for seven yards during Sunday's 31-17 loss to the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Berrios appeared to secede key No. 3 wide receiver reps to Cedrick Wilson against the Eagles, though he still made an impact on special teams with 105 kick return yards. After a strong start to the season Berrios has now logged three consecutive contests with just two targets per game, making him difficult to trust even in deep fantasy formats heading into a Week 8 divisional matchup against the Patriots.
Oct 16, 2023
Hauls in both targets
Berrios secured both of his targets for 20 yards during Sunday's 42-21 win over the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
Berrios continues to handle a valuable depth role for the Dolphins behind top wideouts Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, but aside Week 4 vs. Buffalo when he found the end zone, that hasn't to fantasy success. Except in the deepest of formats, he won't be in consideration as a streaming option for Miami's matchup against the Eagles in Week 7.
Oct 12, 2023
Logs full practice Thursday
Berrios (knee) returned to a full practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Berrios was limited Wednesday, but his full participation a day later has him on pace to play against the Panthers on Sunday. Through his first five games this season, Berrios has caught 15 of his 18 targets for 159 yards and a TD, numbers that give him modest PPR utility while working behind Miami's top WR duo of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.
Oct 11, 2023
Starts week with limited practice
Berrios (knee) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios also started the previous week with a limited practice before upgrading to full participation Thursday and avoiding the Week 5 injury report against the Giants. He'll look to follow the same pattern before Sunday's game against the Panthers, which would put Berrios on track to contribute as a return man and depth wide receiver again.
Oct 9, 2023
Targeted twice in Week 5 win
Berrios secured both of his targets for 13 yards during Sunday's 31-16 win over the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Berrios also contributed as a kick returner, but he wasn't utilized substantially on offense Week 5, with Cedrick Wilson instead handling the bulk of No. 3 WR opportunities. The Dolphins should be in line for another successful offensive performance Week 6 against the Panthers, but Berrios shouldn't be considered more than a flex option for desperate fantasy managers with both Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle healthy.
Oct 5, 2023
Upgraded to full practice Friday
Berrios (knee) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios was limited in Wednesday's session, but the full practice Thursday should clear him to play Sunday against the Giants. The slot man has played roughly half of the offensive snaps for Miami and is coming off a season-best 6-43-1 receiving line on six targets against the Bills last week.
Oct 4, 2023
Starts week with limited sessin
Berrios (knee) was limited in practice Wednesday, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios scored his first touchdown as a member of the Dolphins in the 48-20 Week 4 loss to Buffalo, but he's nursing a knee injury in the aftermath of that game. Miami's No. 3 wide receiver and return man on special teams will have two more opportunities to return to full participation before Sunday's game against the Giants.
Oct 2, 2023
Scores in blowout loss
Berrios secured all six of his targets for 43 yards and one score during Sunday's 48-20 loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Berrios carried the ball once for 11 yards. With River Cracraft (shoulder) out until Week 8 at the earliest, Berrios is clearly Miami's best option as a No. 3 wideout behind Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, putting him in the mix as a weekly flex option in deeper fantasy formats. Miami's offense could find better success against the Giants in Week 5, though normally targets will be more narrowly funneled between Hill and Waddle.
Sep 18, 2023
Catches two passes in win
Berrios secured two of three targets for 28 yards during Sunday night's 24-17 win over the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Berrios also operated as Miami's top punt returner, handling two returns for a total of 27 yards. Behind target leaders Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle (concussion), Berrios retains enough involvement in his rotational offensive role to warrant some fantasy consideration in deep formats. If Waddle remains in the concussion protocol Week 3 versus the Broncos, it would pave the way for Berrios to handle an expanded gig.
Sep 11, 2023
Makes three grabs Week 1
Berrios secured three of five targets for 42 yards in Sunday's 36-34 win over the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Berrios clearly played behind both Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, as expected, but he managed fair production in his Dolphins regular-season debut. River Cracraft also had three grabs on five targets, going for 40 yards and a score. More surprising, though, is that TE Durham Smythe finished second on the team in targets with seven. In games where Miami doesn't have to play catch-up, Berrios and Cracraft likely won't see so many opportunities.

Scores in preseason win
Berrios (head) secured three of four targets for 33 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's exhibition win over the Texans.
ANALYSIS
Berrios returned to action after having suffered a head injury on a punt return Aug. 13, and in impressive fashion. He began the game with one catch from starter Tua Tagovailoa, with his final two grabs, including an 18-yard touchdown to end the second quarter, coming from Skylar Thompson. He looks slated to operate as the Dolphins' top return man this season, while also handling a depth role at wideout.

Gets stitches, set to miss time
Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said Sunday that Berrios needed stitches after injuring his head on a punt return and will be forced to miss some time, Adam H. Beasley of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Beasley, Berrios can't put a helmet on until he gets the stitches removed, but it's unclear how long they'll have to stay in. The returner's next chance to suit up for game action will come next Saturday in Houston, but Miami may keep him sidelined for the remainder of preseason action to ensure he's healthy for Week 1 of the regular season.
Aug 11, 2023
Picks up injury Friday
Berrios (undisclosed) went to the locker room with a Dolphins trainer during Friday's preseason game against the Falcons, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios was on the receiving end of a big collision during a punt return in the second quarter. If he's unable to return Friday, he'll finish Miami's exhibition opener with two catches (on four targets) for 11 yards and two punt returns for eight yards.
Mar 16, 2023
Signing with Dolphins
The Dolphins are slated to sign Berrios, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
The 27-year-old will provide the Dolphins with added wide receiver depth behind top options Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, as well give the team a capable option in the return game. in 17 games for the Jets in 2022, Berrios logged a modest 18-145-0 receiving line while adding two rushing touchdowns, but if he's able to secure steady snaps out of the slot with Miami, the 5-foot-9, 190-pounder could see an uptick in production this coming season.
Mar 9, 2023
Cap casualty with Jets
New York informed Berrios on Tuesday of his coming release, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios will be officially released at the start of the new league year, after he and the Jets were unable to come to terms on a contract restructure. The depth wideout saw his production dip to an 18-145-0 receiving line with an added two rushing touchdowns in 2022, but he's shown enough in his career to find another reserve spot on the open market. The 27-year-old is also able to contribute in the return game.
Jan 11, 2023
Two rushing TDs in 2022
Berrios wasn't targeted in Sunday's season finale against the Dolphins. He finishes the season with 18 catches for 145 yards on 32 targets.
ANALYSIS
Berrios took a major step back as a receiver after totaling 825 yards and five touchdowns over the previous two seasons, but the gadget player contributed in other ways. He rushed nine times for 91 yards and two touchdowns, in addition to throwing a two-yard touchdown. Berrios also had 600 kick return yards and 240 yards on punt returns. The 27-year-old receiver has one more year left on his contract with the Jets and should reprise his role as the return man and part-time player on offense in 2023.
Jan 2, 2023
One catch in Week 17
Berrios caught his only target for 24 yards in Sunday's 23-6 loss to the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
Berrios added a pair of kickoff returns for 51 yards and two punt returns for eight yards. He has caught multiple passes in only three games this season after notching at least five receptions five times in 2021.
Dec 23, 2022
Not targeted in Week 16
Berrios wasn't targeted in Thursday's 19-3 loss to the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Berrios is usually used on gadget plays, and the Jets didn't have the luxury of getting fancy when Zach Wilson couldn't even hit the simple stuff. As a result, Berrios' Week 16 contributions were limited to three kick returns for 80 yards.
Dec 18, 2022
Catches one of six targets
Berrios caught one of six targets for 14 yards in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Lions.
ANALYSIS
Zach Wilson tried to find Berrios deep downfield on a few occasions, but the quarterback and receiver couldn't get on the same page. Berrios' six targets tied his Week 1 season high, and he has yet to match his five catches or 37 receiving yards from the season opener.
Dec 11, 2022
One catch in Week 14
Berrios caught one of three targets for 25 yards in Sunday's 20-12 loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
After failing to come down with what would have been the winning touchdown in the previous game, Berrios made a nice catch over his shoulder in this one, albeit in a far less important situation. He also returned two kickoffs for 23 yards and four punts for 88 yards in addition to diving out of the way of a punt that missed hitting him by a hair.
Dec 5, 2022
Drops game-winning TD
Berrios caught two of three targets for nine yards in Sunday's 27-22 loss to the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Berrios will be remembered for the ball he didn't catch in this one. On fourth down from Minnesota's one-yard line with less than two minutes to play, Mike White fit the ball into a tight window to a sliding Berrios in the end zone, but the wide receiver failed to secure the catch, allowing the would-be winning touchdown to hit the ground. Berrios is a nice gadget player, but the costly drop showed why the Jets are loath to deploy him as a consistent part of the offense.
Nov 27, 2022
Three touches on offense in win
Berrios caught his only target for four yards and rushed twice for nine yards in Sunday's 31-10 win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Berrios played a limited role on offense as usual. He added 38 yards on a pair of punt returns and did well to handle the ball cleanly in wet conditions. Up next for the Berrios and the Jets is a Week 13 trip to Minnesota.
Nov 20, 2022
Targeted once in Week 11
Berrios didn't catch his only target in Sunday's 10-3 loss to New England.
ANALYSIS
Berrios added a 21-yard kick return and nine yards on two punt returns. He narrowly avoided disaster when he muffed a punt with less than two minutes remaining and the game tied at three, but Berrios' fumble rolled out of bounds. It turned out to be only a matter of time until disaster struck on special teams for the Jets, as New England scored the game-winning touchdown on a punt return in the final minute. Berrios has played more on special teams than offense of late, though it's worth noting that the Jets' Week 12 opponent will be a Bears team that just allowed a kickoff return touchdown to Atlanta's Cordarrelle Patterson.
Nov 7, 2022
One catch in win
Berrios caught one of two targets for six yards in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Berrios put together an impressive touchdown streak earlier in the season, but sustaining that momentum was always going to be a challenge given his limited opportunities on offense. He remains an integral player on special teams, where Berrios totaled 40 yards on two kickoff returns in the Week 9 win.
Oct 30, 2022
Quiet in Week 8 loss
Berrios didn't catch his only target in Sunday's 22-17 loss to the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Berrios was a non-factor on offense, as the Jets didn't try any jet sweeps or trick plays. He added 36 yards on two kick returns.
Oct 24, 2022
Five touches in Week 7 win
Berrios caught three of four targets for 15 yards and rushed twice for 27 yards in Sunday's 16-9 win over Denver.
ANALYSIS
Berrios' touchdown streak came to an end, but he still contributed noticeably in a game that didn't feature much offense from either side. He was decent down the stretch last season as New York's starting slot receiver after injuries piled up, and Berrios could be in line for similar usage in Week 8 against the Patriots with uncertainty around the status of both Corey Davis (knee) and Elijah Moore (personal).
Oct 21, 2022
Cleared of injury designation
Berrios (back) logged a full practice Friday and doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's matchup with the Broncos, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios began the week with two limited practice sessions after picking up a back injury, the but the issue doesn't appear to be serious since he was able to practice in full Friday. The kick returner and wide receiver will thus be able to participate in Sunday's contest, and he'll look to extend a two-game touchdown-scoring streak. Despite the recent success finding the end zone, Berrios has only two touches (one catch and one carry) in each of his past two contests, so he's a very risky fantasy play.
Oct 19, 2022
Picks up injury
Berrios (back) was a limited participant in the Jets' practice Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios is dealing with a back issue following Sunday's win over the Packers, though it's unclear when the injury first arose. While the All-Pro kick returner has played more than 30 percent of the Jets' offensive snaps just once this season, he did record a rushing touchdown for the second game in a row against Green Bay. Berrios has also handled punt returns during his time with New York, and he will have two more practices to increase his activity before Sunday's contest against Denver.
Oct 16, 2022
Extends TD streak in Week 6
Berrios scored a 20-yard touchdown on his only rushing attempt and caught his only target for six yards in Sunday's 27-10 win over Green Bay.
ANALYSIS
Berrios took an end-around to the house for his second rushing touchdown in as many weeks. While he's used sparingly, Berrios has excelled in his role as a gadget guy in the creative Jets offense. His two-game rushing touchdown streak was preceded by a passing touchdown to quarterback Zach Wilson. Berrios added three punt returns for 34 yards and a 29-yard kickoff return.
Oct 9, 2022
Notches rushing TD in Week 5 win
Berrios scored a 15-yard touchdown and caught his only target for minus-1 yard in Sunday's 40-17 win over the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
After throwing a touchdown in the Week 4 win over the Steelers, Berrios found the end zone again, this time with his legs. Berrios continues to play sparingly on offense, but the All-Pro return man has proven he can provide an occasional spark outside of his role on special teams. He added 61 yards on two kick returns.
Oct 2, 2022
Throws TD in win
Berrios caught his only target for six yards and threw a two-yard touchdown pass in Sunday's 24-20 win over the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Berrios got the ball on a reverse, but rather than run it, he threw a two-yard touchdown pass to wide open quarterback Zach Wilson as the Jets perfectly executed a trick play to take a 10-0 lead. While Berrios provided a highlight in the Week 4 win, his usage remains modest as New York's No. 4 wide receiver.
Sep 25, 2022
Role remains minimal
Berrios didn't catch his only target and rushed once for minus-2 yards in Sunday's 27-12 loss to the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
Berrios' usage on offense has been minimal with the Jets relying on Garrett Wilson, Elijah Moore and Corey Davis in three-receiver sets. Wilson missed part of the game after taking a hit to the ribs, but Berrios didn't see an uptick in opportunities prior to the rookie's return. Berrios also had a 10-yard punt return and a 20-yard kickoff return.
Sep 18, 2022
No targets in Week 2
Berrios (heel) wasn't targeted but rushed twice for 22 yards in Sunday's 31-30 win over the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Berrios didn't play much of a role on offense while Garrett Wilson, Corey Davis and Elijah Moore combined for 23 targets. The All-Pro return man had three kickoff returns for 75 yards and a 16-yard punt return, so Berrios' reduced role didn't seem linked to the heel injury he battled in practice throughout the week. Berrios is the Jets' No. 4 wide receiver heading into a Week 3 visit from the Bengals.
Sep 18, 2022
Active against Cleveland
Berrios (heel) is active for Sunday's game against Cleveland.
ANALYSIS
Berrios remained on the injury report despite consecutive full practices this week, but his "questionable" status won't prevent him from suiting up against the Browns. The return specialist -- who also caught five passes in the opener -- shouldn't have any limitations for the Week 2 matchup.
Sep 16, 2022
Questionable despite full practices
Berrios (heel) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Browns, Rich Cimini of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios is likely to suit up considering he put in consecutive full practices Thursday and Friday after a limited session Wednesday, but the slot receiver and return man didn't have his name taken off the injury report, so fantasy managers relying on his services should check in on Berrios' status prior to Sunday's 1 pm EDT kickoff.
Sep 15, 2022
Puts in full practice
Berrios (heel) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios had been limited in the Jets' first Week 2 session Wednesday due to the heel issue, but his upgrade to full activity a day later puts him in the clear for Sunday's game in Cleveland. Though he faces more competition for reps at receiver in 2022 with the addition of rookie first-round pick Garrett Wilson and with Corey Davis and Elijah Moore healthy again after injury-plagued 2021 campaigns, Berrios still saw a decent amount of involvement in the Jets' Week 1 loss to Baltimore. He played 47 percent of the Jets' offensive snaps and finished with five receptions for 37 yards on six targets.
Sep 14, 2022
Limited at practice Wednesday
Berrios (heel) was listed as a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios caught five of six targets for 37 yards and returned two punts for 30 yards during Sunday's season-opening loss. However, he presumably picked up a heel injury as well. The extent of the issue is unclear, but if he remains limited Thursday, his availability for Week 2 could be in doubt.
Sep 11, 2022
Five catches in pass-heavy loss
Berrios caught five of six targets for 37 yards in Sunday's 24-9 loss to the Ravens. He added two kickoff returns for 48 yards and two punt returns for 30 yards.
ANALYSIS
The Jets were able to get each of their top four wide receivers involved as Joe Flacco aired it out 59 times, but New York's unlikely to go that pass-heavy often moving forward. Berrios finished fourth among the team's wideouts in both targets and receiving yards, and he was seventh on the team overall in targets. Barring an injury to Elijah Moore, Corey Davis or Garrett Wilson, Berrios will remain limited to a part-time role in Week 2 against the Browns and beyond.
Aug 29, 2022
Caps preseason with TD
Berrios caught both of his targets for 36 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-27 preseason win over the Giants. He also had a 15-yard punt return.
ANALYSIS
In addition to being an All-Pro return man on special teams in 2021, Berrios also had his best season offensively, setting career highs in catches (46) and receiving yards (431). New York added 2022 first-round pick Garrett Wilson to Corey Davis and Elijah Moore at the wide receiver position, but Berrios is more than capable of filling in effectively should any of them get hurt. Berrios showed off his burst in this one, making a man miss before outracing the entire Giants defense down the sideline for a 21-yard touchdown.
May 2, 2022
Likely to open as fourth WR
Berrios is likely to open the season fourth on the Jets' wide receiver depth chart after the team added Garrett Wilson in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, Connor Hughes of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Wilson's likely to start on the outside opposite Corey Davis, moving Elijah Moore predominantly into a slot role. With Moore starting in the slot, Berrios will be relegated to a reserve role, though he'll likely see the field in four-wide sets and on various gadget plays that make the most of Berrios' quickness and abilities in the open field. Berrios is also one of the league's top return men on special teams, so he should remain a significant contributor for the Jets.
Mar 14, 2022
Staying in New York
Berrios is re-signing with the Jets on a two-year contract that includes $7 million guaranteed, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Initial reports have it as a two-year, $12 million deal for the 26-year-old slot receiver, following a strong finish to his third NFL season. Berrios missed Week 18 with a quad injury that's likely healed by now, but prior to that, he had a four-game stretch (Weeks 14-16) with 20 catches for 180 yards and a touchdown and five carries for 25 yards and another two scores. He even added a kick-return TD in that stretch, which helped him earn a spot as a return specialist on the All-Pro team. The new contract suggests Berrios will have a steady role on offense going forward, in addition to his strong work on special teams. It's also a strong hint the Jets don't plan to re-sign fellow slot receiver Jamison Crowder.
Jan 7, 2022
Moves to injured reserve
Berrios (quadriceps) was placed on injured reserve Friday.
ANALYSIS
The 26-year-old was labeled doubtful for Sunday's matchup with the Bills earlier in the day, and the Jets opted to open a roster spot by moving him to injured reserve. It was a strong year for Berrios, as he caught 46 passes for 431 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing seven times for 40 yards and two additional scores. He was also an effective return man and averaged 30.4 yards on kickoffs and 13.4 yards on punts, plus one return touchdown. Berrios is scheduled to become a free agent at the start of the new league year in March.
Jan 7, 2022
Officially doubtful Sunday
Berrios (quadriceps) is doubtful for Sunday's game at Buffalo, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Robert Saleh said Friday morning it wasn't "looking good" for Berrios to play Week 18, and the 26-year-old is now officially doubtful. Jamison Crowder is poised to take over in the slot after missing the past two games. Assuming he's inactive Sunday, Berrios will finish 2021 with 46 receptions for 431 yards and two touchdowns plus seven carries for 40 yards and two additional scores. He also scored one return touchdown and averaged 30.4 yards on kick returns and 13.4 yards on punt returns.
Jan 7, 2022
Trending toward Week 18 absence
Coach Robert Saleh said it's "not looking good" for Berrios (quadriceps) to play Sunday against the Bills, Connor Hughes of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios was unable to practice Wednesday and Thursday due to the quadriceps issue, and it appears his outlook hasn't improved Friday. The 26-year-old had his best game of the season Week 17 against the Buccaneers with eight catches for 65 yards and a touchdown plus 12 rushing yards and another touchdown, but it appears that will be his final game of the 2021 campaign.
Jan 6, 2022
Misses another practice
Berrios (quad) missed practice again Thursday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Cimini notes that coach Robert Saleh Saleh didn't seem overly concerned about Berrios' quad contusion Wednesday, but back-to-back missed practices place the focus on what the wideout is able to do during Friday's practice. Berrios is coming off a fantasy-friendly effort in Week 17 in which he logged catches for 65 yards and a touchdown on 12 targets to go along with two carries for 12 yards and rushing score in the Jets' loss to Tampa Bay.
Jan 5, 2022
Set to miss practice Wednesday
Berrios is dealing with a quad contusion and won't practice Wednesday, Rich Cimini of ESPN.comreports.
ANALYSIS
That said, the report notes that coach Robert Saleh indicated that he "isn't overly concerned" about Berrios' quad issue, with the wide receiver's Wednesday absence being more of a maintenance day. A return to practice Thursday by Berrios, in any capacity, would presumably put him on track to play Sunday against the Bills.
Jan 2, 2022
Makes Jets history in loss
Berrios caught eight of 12 targets for 65 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 28-24 loss to Tampa Bay. He added 12 yards and a touchdown on two rushing attempts but also lost a fumble.
ANALYSIS
Berrios opened the scoring with a one-yard rushing touchdown on a reverse, then displayed excellent balance along the sideline to score on a nine-yard catch in the second quarter and restore New York's seven-point lead. Remarkably, Berrios became the first wide receiver in Jets history to score a rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown in the same game. He also led the team in targets, catches and receiving yards. Berrios is making the most of his featured role in the injury-riddled Jets offense, and he'll have some fantasy appeal in the Week 18 season finale against the Bills.
Dec 26, 2021
Five catches, kick return TD in win
Berrios caught five of six targets for 37 yards in Sunday's 26-21 win over the Jaguars. He added three yards on one rushing attempt and scored a kickoff return touchdown.
ANALYSIS
Berrios led New York's depleted receiving corps in catches, targets and receiving yards. In addition to his contributions on offense, Berrios scored a 102-yard kickoff return touchdown in the second quarter. Elijah Moore (quadriceps) -- who is also on the reserve/COVID-19 list -- and Jamison Crowder (calf) both have a chance to return in Week 17 against the Buccaneers, but even one of those two sitting should be enough for Berrios to maintain a prominent role on offense to go with his usage in the return game on special teams.
Dec 24, 2021
Replacing Crowder in slot
Berrios likely will replace Jamison Crowder (doubtful/calf) as the Jets' primary slot receiver this Sunday against Jacksonville, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios has mostly been the Jets' fourth/fifth receiver this year but did top 50 percent snap share in each of the first three games of the season. During that stretch, he averaged 4.7 catches for 50.0 yards on 7.0 targets, in addition to returning kicks and punts. He'll have a big role for the Jets this Sunday but still doesn't have great odds to pile up yardage or score a TD.
Dec 19, 2021
Finds end zone in loss
Berrios caught his only target for 26 yards while rushing twice for 10 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-24 loss to the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
After leading the team with 10 targets last week, Berrios remained involved in the game plan early, capping New York's first drive with a two-yard touchdown run. He didn't make much of an impact after that point, but neither did any other Jets receiver, as Jamison Crowder led the team with 40 receiving yards and New York didn't score a touchdown through the air. Given the dearth of passable alternatives in New York's passing game, Berrios will have some fantasy appeal in Week 16 against the Jaguars, even if that appeal is primarily limited to deeper formats.
Dec 12, 2021
Steps up for injury-riddled Jets
Berrios caught six of 10 targets for 52 yards in Sunday's 30-9 loss to New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
Berrios led the Jets in targets, catches and receiving yards, as he took on a more prominent role with Corey Davis (groin) and Elijah Moore (quadriceps) both sidelined. Davis is done for the season and Moore won't be back until Week 17 at the earliest, so Berrios should continue to serve as one of the top targets for scuffling rookie quarterback Zach Wilson in Week 15 against Miami.
Dec 6, 2021
Nice return sets up team's first TD
Berrios caught his only target for 11 yards in Sunday's 33-18 loss to Philadelphia. He also returned three kickoffs for 139 yards.
ANALYSIS
Berrios bookended the contest with his two biggest contributions. He set up New York's opening-drive touchdown by taking the opening kickoff 79 yards down to the Eagles' 21-yard line, and Berrios' lone catch of the afternoon came on the game's final play. Berrios is a solid back of the roster guy for the 3-9 Jets, but that's not a fantasy-friendly role.
Nov 28, 2021
Makes 46-yard catch
Berrios caught two of three targets for 47 yards in Sunday's 21-14 win over Houston.
ANALYSIS
Berrios actually led the Jets in receiving yards, topping Elijah Moore by one. He flipped field position with a 46-yard catch in the third quarter, but the play was wasted when Matt Ammendola missed a 42-yard field-goal attempt to cap the drive. Berrios hasn't reached 50 yards in a game since Week 2.
Nov 21, 2021
Blanked by Dolphins
Berrios failed to catch his only target in Sunday's 24-17 loss to Miami.
ANALYSIS
Berrios rarely features on offense but has a prominent role on special teams. He returned two punts for 28 yards and added a 31-yard kickoff return.
Nov 14, 2021
Three catches in Week 10
Berrios caught all three of his targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 45-17 loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Berrios hasn't been targeted more than three times in a game since Week 2. The reserve receiver's role won't grow barring injuries ahead of him on the depth chart.
Nov 5, 2021
Just five receiving yards Thursday
Berrios caught two of three targets for five yards in Thursday's 45-30 loss to Indianapolis.
ANALYSIS
Berrios failed to make much of an impact after scoring his first touchdown of the season last week. The Jets' offense has picked it up, averaging 32 points over the past two games, but Berrios doesn't see the field enough to capitalize on that improvement consistently.
Nov 1, 2021
Finds end zone in upset win
Berrios caught both of his targets for 13 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-31 win over Cincinnati.
ANALYSIS
Berrios gave the Jets hope heading into halftime by securing an eight-yard touchdown with 15 seconds remaining in the second quarter to cut the Bengals' lead to three points. It was the reserve receiver's first touchdown of the season.
Oct 3, 2021
Limited involvement with Crowder in
Berrios caught his only target for no gain and added 15 yards on two rushing attempts in Sunday's 27-24 overtime win over the Titans.
ANALYSIS
As expected, Berrios' role shrank significantly with starting slot receiver Jamison Crowder back in the fold after missing the first three games of the season due to a groin injury. Berrios' impact will come primarily as a return man on special teams moving forward, as Crowder's presence should continue to limit Berrios' usage on offense.
Sep 27, 2021
Regresses in Week 3
Berrios caught two of three targets for 26 yards in Sunday's 26-0 loss to Denver.
ANALYSIS
The one ball Berrios didn't catch bounced off his hands for an interception. He had done an admirable job filling in for Jamison Crowder (groin) in the slot in the first two games, but this forgettable performance coupled with the possibility of Crowder returning in Week 4 have Berrios' fantasy value trending in the wrong direction.
Sep 19, 2021
Leading receiver in Week 2 loss
Berrios caught seven of 11 targets for 73 yards in Sunday's 25-6 loss to New England.
ANALYSIS
Berrios led the Jets in targets, catches and receiving yards as Zach Wilson shied away from pushing the ball downfield after being picked off four times and peppered the slot receiver underneath. While Berrios has filled in admirably for Jamison Crowder (groin) in the slot over the first two games, piling up 12 catches for 124 yards, his role will diminish substantially if Crowder's able to return in Week 3 against the Broncos.
Sep 12, 2021
Involved in opener
Berrios caught five of seven targets for 51 yards in Sunday's 19-14 loss to the Panthers. He added a 15-yard punt return.
ANALYSIS
Berrios filled in admirably for Jamison Crowder (illness) in the slot. He tied for the team lead in targets with Corey Davis, though Davis did much more with his opportunities, scoring both of the Jets' touchdowns. Berrios -- who is a former Patriots cast-off -- could get an opportunity to exact some revenge on his former team in Week 2 if Crowder isn't cleared by then.
Aug 22, 2021
Four targets in return
Berrios caught two of four targets for 17 yards in Saturday's 23-14 preseason win over the Packers. He added two yards on a punt return.
ANALYSIS
Berrios returned to action after missing the preseason opener against the Giants due to a groin injury. His production in this one was nothing to write home about, but Berrios actually ranked second in targets behind Corey Davis (six), while no other teammate was thrown to more than twice. Berrios has the inside track on securing a roster spot due to his contributions as a return man on special teams and ability to fill in capably in the slot on offense, but a strong performance in the preseason finale against the Eagles would help put any doubt about his future with the Jets to bed prior to final cuts.
Aug 19, 2021
Returns to practice
Berrios (groin) returned to practice Thursday, Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios missed the Jets' preseason opener against the Giants due to a groin issue, but the issue wasn't considered serious. The 25-year-old took part in Thursday's joint practice with the Packers and was on the field during the team's two-minute drill. Berrios should be available to make his preseason debut Saturday against Green Bay.
Aug 12, 2021
Won't play Saturday
Berrios (groin) is ruled out for Saturday's preseason contest against the Giants, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Robert Saleh said he expects Berrios back in action for the Jets' exhibition matchup against the Packers on August 22, so it appears the wideout isn't dealing with too serious an injury. Still, Berrios is competing for a depth role in New York's revamped receiving corps, and missing any amount of time before Week 1 could hurt his chances of making the final roster.
Jan 3, 2021
Finishes with three TDs in 2020
Berrios caught all three of his targets for 20 yards and rushed twice for 16 yards in Sunday's season-ending 28-14 loss to New England.
ANALYSIS
Berrios finishes the season with 37 catches for 394 yards and three touchdowns. New York's No. 4 receiver frequently bumped up the depth chart due to injuries above him, and Berrios is well positioned to maintain his depth role next season, as he also brings value as a special teams option in the return game. A starting role on the outside could open up if Breshad Perriman doesn't re-sign with the Jets, but the team will almost certainly fill such a vacancy via free agency or the draft given its dearth of effective wide receivers.

Scores first TD since Week 3
Berrios caught all three of his targets for 60 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-16 win over the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Berrios scored from 43 yards out on a pass thrown by fellow wide receiver Jamison Crowder. The touchdown was Berrios' third of the season and first since Week 3. His contributions have been sporadic despite ample opportunities due to injuries to New York's other wide receivers, but Berrios should continue to run some routes on offense while also working as a return man on special teams in Week 17 against the Patriots team that originally selected him in the sixth round of the 2018 draft.
Dec 21, 2020
Two catches and end zone drop in W
Berrios caught two of three targets for nine yards in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Berrios' lone miss was more memorable than either of his short connections, as the ball clanked off his hands in the end zone after a strong effort from quarterback Sam Darnold to escape pressure and deliver an accurate pass on the run. Had Berrios caught the ball, it would have been his third touchdown of the season. Up next for the no-longer winless Jets is a Week 16 date with the Browns.
Dec 13, 2020
Leading receiver in rout
Berrios caught three of five targets for 49 yards in Sunday's 40-3 loss to the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
He took advantage of the absence of Denzel Mims (personal) and led the Jets in receiving yards on a day when Sam Darnold only completed 14 passes. This was Berrios' best performance since Week 3, but he'll likely return to a depth role in Week 15 against the Rams.
Dec 6, 2020
Two catches in latest loss
Berrios caught both of his targets for 33 yards in Sunday's 31-28 loss to the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
Berrios hasn't found the end zone since Week 2 while surpassing two catches only twice since that point. He's an afterthought in the Jets' unimpressive passing attach with the team's receiving corps healthy.
Nov 29, 2020
Another week without a target
Berrios wasn't targeted in Sunday's 20-3 loss to Miami.
ANALYSIS
He netted six yards between a kick return and a punt return but watched Corey Ballentine return a pair of kickoffs for 50 yards. Berrios' role on offense in nearly nonexistent and his special teams contributions are shrinking.
Nov 22, 2020
No targets in Week 11
Berrios wasn't targeted in Sunday's 34-28 loss to the Chargers. He had three punt returns for 60 yards and one kick return for 16 yards.
ANALYSIS
Berrios made a peculiar choice on the game's final play with the Chargers kicking the ball away after a safety. Rather than trying to lateral the ball to give his team a chance, he ran a conventional return and was easily tackled to end the game. With starting slot receiver Jamison Crowder healthy, Berrios' recent contributions have come almost exclusively on special teams.
Nov 10, 2020
One catch as Crowder returns
Berrios caught his lone target for 13 yards in Monday's 30-27 loss to New England.
ANALYSIS
Berrios retreated back to a depth role with starting slot receiver Jamison Crowder (groin) back after a two-week absence. While Berrios has soaked up significant volume whenever Crowder has sat this season, he has just two catches in the five games Crowder has played.
Nov 1, 2020
Just 34 yards on eight catches
Berrios caught eight of 11 targets for 34 yards in Sunday's 35-9 loss to Kansas City.
ANALYSIS
Berrios got a steady diet of screens and short passes, but he couldn't replicate Jamison Crowder's (groin) ability to make defenders miss after the catch. Coach Adam Gase's love for short passes to the slot receiver should give Berrios some PPR value against the Patriots in Week 9 if Crowder's not ready to return. Should Crowder suit up, Berrios would return to a bench role.
Oct 25, 2020
Four catches in slot role
Berrios caught four of seven targets for 35 yards in Sunday's 18-10 loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Berrios tied with Denzel Mims for the team lead in catches and targets while finishing seven receiving yards behind Mims' team-high total. The highlight of Berrios' night was a 22-yard catch to convert a 3rd-and-20 late in the first quarter, but that ended up being New York's longest play of the day as quarterback Sam Darnold threw for just 120 yards. Berrios has played well in the slot when Jamison Crowder (groin) has missed time this season, and he'll continue to fill in if Crowder doesn't heal up in time to face the Chiefs in Week 8.
Oct 25, 2020
More slot work on tap
Berrios is expected to play the majority of the Jets' offensive snaps at slot receiver Sunday against Buffalo, Chris Brown of the Bills' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Jamison Crowder (groin), will be sidelined for the third time this season, leaving plenty of looks up for grabs after he averaged 11.5 targets per game on the four occasions he's suited up this season. While Crowder was sidelined Weeks 2 and 3, Berrios served as the primary replacement and took advantage of the opportunity, producing 10 catches for 123 yards and two touchdowns on 12 targets between the two contests. Berrios may face more competition for snaps this time around, however. Starting wideout Breshad Perriman was sidelined in Week 3, while Jeff Smith and Denzel Mims are also healthy again after sitting out both of the prior games Crowder missed.
Oct 19, 2020
One catch in Week 6
Berrios had an 18-yard catch on three targets in Sunday's 24-0 loss to Miami.
ANALYSIS
Berrios has slipped down the depth chart with New York's receiving corps starting to heal up. Most of the Jets' starters struggle to maintain fantasy viability in an offense that's averaging 12.5 points per game, so this performance should be about par for the course for Berrios in a depth role.
Oct 12, 2020
Another quiet performance
Berrios failed to haul in either of his two targets and had a 13-yard run in Sunday's 30-10 loss to the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
Berrios continues to see a minimal role on offense with Jamison Crowder healthy and manning the slot. The 25-year-old receiver was also involved on special teams, tallying a 13-yard kick return and a nine-yard punt return.
Oct 2, 2020
Fades back into obscurity
Berrios failed to catch any of his three targets in Thursday's 37-28 loss to Denver.
ANALYSIS
Berrios' run as New York's slot receiver came to an end with Jamison Crowder back from a hamstring injury, and it's no coincidence that his production dried up with the demotion back into a depth role. While Berrios' value will likely remain minimal as long as Crowder's healthy, the 24-year-old Miami product showed that he's capable of filling in admirably when called upon.
Sep 27, 2020
Finds end zone in Week 3
Berrios caught all four of his targets for a team-high 64 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 36-7 loss to the Colts.
ANALYSIS
He hauled in his second TD of the season, and second in as many games, after Sam Darnold escaped pressure in the pocket and found Berrios in the front corner of the end zone, tying the score at 7-7 midway through the first quarter before things fell apart for the Jets. As long as Breshad Perriman (ankle) and Jamison Crowder (hamstring) remain sidelined, Berrios could continue to be productive as the only option Darnold seems to trust.
Sep 27, 2020
In uniform Sunday
Berrios (hamstring) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Colts.
ANALYSIS
Assuming no setbacks with his hamstring, Berrios figures to see his share of slot reps Sunday alongside Chris Hogan and Josh Malone, with fellow wide receivers Breshad Perriman (ankle) and Jamison Crowder (hamstring) both sidelined this week.
Sep 25, 2020
Joins long list of injured WRs
Berrios (hamstring) was a new addition to the injury report Friday and is questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts, Ralph Vacchiano of SNY.tv reports.
ANALYSIS
So much for Berrios being one of the last healthy bodies in New York's receiving corps. If he plays through this injury, he's still in an appealing spot due to the lack of available alternatives, but a backup slot receiver battling an injury isn't usually the type of player you should be relying on in fantasy.
Sep 25, 2020
Another expanded role on tap
Berrios is expected to start Sunday's game against the Colts with both Breshad Perriman (ankle) and Jamison Crowder (hamstring) sidelined, Chris Ryan of NJ.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios had 59 yards and a touchdown with Crowder out last week, and the fill-in slot receiver should continue to get plenty of attention from quarterback Sam Darnold. With Chris Hogan and Josh Malone starting on the outside, Berrios and tight end Chris Herndon should be heavily relied upon in the short and intermediate passing game.
Sep 20, 2020
Scores late TD in blowout loss
Berrios caught six of eight targets for 59 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-13 loss to the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Berrios worked as the slot receiver with Jamison Crowder (hamstring) inactive, and he turned into Sam Darnold's de facto top target when both Breshad Perriman (ankle) and Chris Hogan (ribs) joined the ranks of injured Jets wide receivers. The 24-year-old Miami product caught a 30-yard touchdown on the Jets' final drive, finding the end zone for the first time in his career. If Crowder's not ready to return against the Colts in Week 3, Berrios will be a candidate to lead the team in targets.
Sep 18, 2020
Stepping into slot role
Berrios will work as the Jets' primary slot receiver Week 2 with Jamison Crowder (hamstring) sidelined, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Crowder was officially ruled out for Week 2 by coach Adam Gase on Friday, and he named Berrios as the replacement in the slot. Berrios rarely saw the field with the Jets last season, catching six passes for 115 yards and zero touchdownsin 16 games, but he should be in line for heavy playing time with Breshad Perriman and Chris Hogan representing the only other healthy wideouts on the roster. Despite the expected increased field time, he's not guaranteed to be a significant factor in the passing game.
Sep 17, 2020
Could start Week 2 if Crowder sits
Berrios could serve as the Jets' primary slot receiver if Jamison Crowder's hamstring injury prevents him from playing in Sunday's game against the 49ers, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Crowder is trending in the wrong direction for the Week 2 contest, as he failed to participate in practice Thursday after picking up the hamstring injury Wednesday, resulting in him logging a "limited" showing that day. Unless Crowder can get back on the field in some capacity in the Jets' final practice of the week Friday, he'll likely be in store for an inactive status Sunday, leaving New York with just three healthy receivers. Berrios has the benefit of a full season of residence in coach Adam Gase's system, but he rarely saw use as a receiver in 2019, logging only 85 offensive snaps and recording six receptions for 115 yards on 13 targets. While Crowder's potential absence would pave the way for Berrios to handle perhaps the biggest snap share of his career, the 24-year-old might only be a tertiary option in the passing game behind Breshad Perriman, Chris Hogan and Chris Herndon.
Sep 14, 2020
No targets in Week 1 loss
Berrios wasn't targeted in Sunday's 27-17 loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
It's not a good sign that Berrios wasn't able to make an impact with rookie Denzel Mims (hamstring) sidelined and the combination of starting outside receivers Breshad Perriman and Chris Hogan combining for 17 yards on four catches. Berrios is buried deep down the depth chart on offense, but he's still slated to serve as New York's punt returner, though the Jets didn't get any return opportunities in the opener.
Sep 2, 2020
Injury specified
Berrios is dealing with a lower back issue that has forced him to miss practice, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Berrios exited practice Tuesday with "tightness", and it's now clear as to the specifics of the injury. It's unclear how long the injury is expected to keep Berrios out, but it certainly won't help his chances to make the roster in a depth role for 2020.
Sep 1, 2020
Exits practice early
Head coach Adam Gase said Berrios left practice early due to "tightness," Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Gase didn't elaborate on what Berrios was dealing with, but there's no reason to believe it's too serious right now. A quick return to practice would be quite beneficial for Berrios' chances of making the roster since the Jets' top-five wide receivers are all dealing with injuries.
Jul 23, 2020
Headed for expanded role?
The Jets could design some packages to put Berrios on the field more often this season, Connor Hughes of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Released by New England last preseason, Berrios caught on with the Jets and played all 16 games, averaging 11.4 yards on 21 punt returns but catching only six passes for 115 yards. He did show some potential in his limited playing time on offense, but there's only so much room for growth for a slot specialist on the same team as Jamison Crowder. Given their potential shortcomings at the outside receiver spots, the Jets could try a few different tricks to put Crowder and Berrios in the slot at the same time, including four-receiver sets or lining up TE Chris Herndon on the perimeter. Even so, it's hard to imagine Berrios pushing for mainstream fantasy utility in any scenario that doesn't involve a Crowder injury.
