Four straight with 100 total yards
Brown rushed 18 times for 99 yards and caught six of eight targets for 28 yards in Sunday's 34-12 loss to the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Brown has rushed for at least 73 yards in three of his last four games after failing to exceed 47 rushing yards in a game through Week 6. He handled a workhorse role in the absence of top backup Samaje Perine (ankle), as Brown set season highs with 24 touches and 127 scrimmage yards. After a slow start, Brown has started to deliver the gaudy production fantasy managers expected on the heels of his breakout 2024 campaign. New England's stout run defense will be tasked with trying to slow down Brown in Week 12.
Nov 2, 2025
Busy day as receiver in loss
Brown rushed 11 times for 37 yards and brought in eight of 14 targets for 75 yards in the Bengals' 47-42 loss to the Bears on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The wild back-and-forth nature of the game limited Brown's rushing opportunities against a vulnerable Bears run defense, but the third-year back made up for it with his work as a receiver. Brown's catch and target totals were both team and season highs, and he did manage to log double-digit carries for the third straight contest. Brown will face the Steelers' inconsistent run defense on the road when the Bengals return from the Week 10 bye on Sunday, Nov. 16.
Oct 26, 2025
Tops 100 total yards with two TDs
Brown rushed 12 times for 73 yards and a touchdown while catching all three of his targets for 32 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 39-38 loss to the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Brown's 19-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter marked his first trip to the end zone since he scored on the ground back in Week 1, and he tacked on a one-yard rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter. He also set a new season high with 105 scrimmage yards, topping his 100 against Pittsburgh in Week 7. Fellow Bengals running back Samaje Perine also had his best game of the season with 100 scrimmage yards and a touchdown, so Brown could face more competition for touches in a Bengals backfield that's trending up ahead of a Week 9 home game against the Bears.
Oct 17, 2025
Season-best yardage total in win
Brown rushed 11 times for 108 yards and brought in two of four targets for minus-8 yards in the Bengals' 33-31 win over the Steelers on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Brown left a mostly frustrating first six games of the season in the rearview mirror Thursday, posting a season high in rushing yards by a wide margin. Prior to Thursday, Brown hadn't even cracked 47 rushing yards in any contest, but he blew past that threshold on his way to his first 100-yard tally since Week 9 of last season, with the help of a season-long 37-yard run. Brown's overall workload still remained modest, however, but Cincinnati doesn't figure to have to take as much of a pass-heavy approach when the Bengals return to action in a Week 8 home matchup against the Jets on Sunday, Oct. 26.
Oct 12, 2025
Loses touch dominance
Brown rushed the ball nine times for 42 yards in Sunday's 27-18 loss to the Packers. He added two catches on two targets for seven yards.
ANALYSIS
Brown finally showed some efficiency on the ground thanks primarily to a 13-yard run shortly before halftime. However, his day was defined by a shift in touch allocation in the Cincinnati backfield, with Samae Perine earning eight total touches to Brown's 11. Game script may have dictated that late in the contest, but Perine drew the first Bengals' carry and only recorded two of his touches when the team was in a hopeless situation on the scoreboard. There's no obvious candidate to fully displace Brown in the Cincinnati backfield, but this was the team's first signal that it may be growing tired of his lack of efficiency.
Oct 6, 2025
Seven catches in comeback effort
Brown rushed the ball eight times for 27 yards in Sunday's 37-24 loss to the Lions. He added seven receptions on eight targets for 21 yards.
ANALYSIS
The Bengals were scripted out of the run game early on, as they were down by multiple scores for three quarters of the game. Brown had another uninspiring game as a rusher as a result, though he did earn his most involvement as a pass catcher this season. The end result won't provide any reassurance for fantasy managers moving forward, but Brown did deliver a serviceable performance in PPR formats.
Sep 29, 2025
Efficient with 13 touches in loss
Brown rushed 10 times for 40 yards and brought in all three targets for 31 yards in the Bengals' 28-3 loss to the Broncos on Monday night.
ANALYSIS
Brown's opportunities were limited by game script, but he turned in his most efficient performance of the season as both runner and receiver. Prior to Monday night, Brown hadn't averaged more than 2.9 yards per carry in his first three contests, and his 10.3 yards per catch versus Denver edged the 9.0 figure he'd mustered on two grabs Week 2 against the Jaguars. The Bengals offense appears stuck in the mud over its first two full games with Jake Browning at the helm, however, so Brown's fantasy prospects remain muted heading into a Week 5 home matchup against a tough Lions defense.
Sep 21, 2025
Disappears in Week 3 loss
Brown rushed 10 times for three yards and brought in four of five targets for 17 yards in the Bengals' 48-10 loss to the Vikings on Sunday. He also fumbled once but recovered.
ANALYSIS
Brown's final rushing line tells the tale of both limited opportunities due to game script and next to no running room against a talented Vikings front seven. The third-year back's rush attempts and rushing yardage totals were unsurprisingly season-low figures, and Brown could only very modestly make up for the shortfall with his work through the air. The Bengals will look for a reset in a Week 4 road matchup against the Broncos, but that presents as another extremely challenging matchup for Cincinnati's Jake Browning-led offense as a whole.
Sep 14, 2025
Inefficient again
Brown recorded 16 rushes for 47 yards in Sunday's 31-27 win over the Jaguars. He added two receptions on three targets for 18 yards.
ANALYSIS
Brown was the only running back to record a carry for the second straight game to begin the season. However, he was also extremely inefficient once again, averaging only 2.9 yards per attempt with a long of just 11 yards. This performance was a bit more justifiable, as Jake Browning entered the game halfway through the second quarter after Joe Burrow (toe) was sidelined, allowing the Jaguars to focus on short areas of the field defensively. The Bengals don't have strong alternatives to Brown to take carries, but he now has only 90 yards on the ground on 37 carries across the first two games of the campaign.
Sep 7, 2025
Dominates rushing workload
Brown rushed the ball 21 times for 43 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 17-16 win over the Browns. He added two receptions on three targets for eight yards.
ANALYSIS
The Bengals' offense was sluggish in their Week 1 win, and Brown's performance was a mix of positive and negative. He was very inefficient, averaging only 2.0 yards per carry with a long gain of eight yards. On the other hand, Brown was the only Bengals' running back to get a carry, and he also converted a one-yard touchdown at the goal line. While the stat line wasn't particularly strong, Brown's usage will keep him locked in as one of the best fantasy options at the position.
Aug 18, 2025
Scores TD on fourth down
Brown took five touches for 16 yards and a touchdown in Monday's preseason game against Cincinnati.
ANALYSIS
Brown played the opening drive and accounted for all five of Cincinnati's RB touches on the series, after getting all eight touches across two drives in the previous preseason game. His final carry was a one-yard TD plunge on fourth down, with Samaje Perine then taking over on the next drive. Perine may have a role on clear passing situations, but it looks like Brown will open the regular season handling most of Cincinnati's backfield snaps and a huge share of the carries. If it doesn't work out, the Bengals have Perine and rookie sixth-round pick Tahj Brooks as favorites for the second and third spots on the depth chart. They'll open the regular season with a road game against the Browns at 1 p.m. ET on Sun., Sept. 7.
Aug 7, 2025
Takes eight touches for 48 yards
Brown took five carries for 23 yards and three catches for 25 yards in Thursday's preseason game against the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
He was the only RB to get a touch on the first-team offense's two drives, getting the ball eight times on 15 plays. It was reminder of what Brown did last season in Weeks 9-17, recording eight straight games with at least 15 touches, 50 snaps and 91 total yards. The Bengals may ideally want Tahj Brooks and Samaje Perine to take some of the load off Brown's shoulders this season, but Brown could still end up dominating snaps if coach Zac Taylor decides there's too much of a drop off between the starter and his backups.
Jul 25, 2025
Primed for huge season?
Bengals offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher said Wednesday that he expects Brown to be "a household name" by the end of the season, Jori Epstein of Yahoo Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Pitcher even compared Brown to Austin Ekeler, highlighting Brown's receiving skills and versatility. After not playing much as a rookie, the 2023 fifth-round pick became one of the highest-volume backs in the league by the second half of last season, logging at least 50 snaps and 15 touches in each of his last eight games. He averaged 18.9 carries for 78.9 yards and 4.8 catches for 37.4 yards over that eight-game stretch, with three rushing TDs and three receiving scores. The Bengals probably want to reduce Brown's workload at least a little bit, but that partially depends on how things come along with their backups, namely Zack Moss (NFI - neck), Samaje Perine and rookie Tahj Brooks.

Working at OTAs
Brown (ankle) participated in Cincinnati's opening session of OTAs on Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Brown appears back to full health after an ankle injury forced him to sit out the Bengals' regular-season finale against Pittsburgh. The 25-year-old running back is fresh off a Year 2 breakout in which he rushed 229 times for 990 yards (4.3 YPC) and seven scores while adding an impressive 54 catches (on 65 targets) for 360 yards and four touchdowns. Brown's 2024 performance is particularly impressive considering that as a rookie fifth-rounder in 2023, he logged just 44 carries for 179 yards. Cincinnati opted to keep Zack Moss (neck) around via a reworked deal rather than significantly add to the backfield in free agency beyond Samaje Perine, or in the 2025 NFL Draft other than sixth-rounder Tahj Brooks. Those decisions imply confidence from the team in Brown's ability to reprise a significant starting workload, a role that he's already proven an ability to translate into high-end fantasy upside.

Officially inactive Saturday
Brown (ankle) is inactive for Saturday's game at Pittsburgh.
ANALYSIS
Brown suffered a right ankle sprain near the end of regulation of last Saturday's overtime win versus the Broncos. Despite the running back not practicing during Week 18 prep, there was some hope that he'd be available this Saturday, as offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher noted to Ben Baby of ESPN.com on Monday. Officially listed as questionable, Brown's availability was subject to a game-day decision, per Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer via coach Zac Taylor. During his pregame warmup, Brown's right ankle was heavily taped, per Bridget Condon of NFL Network, but his attempts to cut on the ankle seemingly didn't go well, according to Condon. With his lack of availability now confirmed for Saturday's contest, Brown will hand off the Bengals backfield to Khalil Herbert, who will be backed up by Trayveon Williams and Kendall Milton.
Jan 4, 2025
Trending toward absence Saturday
Brown (ankle) isn't expected to play Saturday at Pittsburgh, Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Brown emerged from last Saturday's overtime victory against the Broncos with a sprained right ankle, which didn't allow him to practice during Week 18 prep. Still, the Bengals gave him a chance to suit up this weekend by listing him as questionable on their final injury report Thursday. In the end, Brown went through a pregame workout that may not have gone well when he attempted to cut, per Bridget Condon of NFL Network. Cincinnati will confirm Brown's status once the team posts its inactive list about 90 minutes before an 8:00 p.m. ET kickoff, but it appears as if Khalil Herbert will be the Bengals' lead running back Saturday.
Jan 2, 2025
Gets questionable tag for Saturday
Brown (ankle) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
After suffering what's believed to be a mild right high-ankle sprain in last Saturday's 30-24 overtime win over the Broncos, Brown was listed as a non-participant for each of the Bengals' three practices in Week 18. Despite the lack of on-field activity this week, the Bengals aren't closing the door on him being available in a critical game in Saturday, as Cincinnati will need a win plus Broncos and Dolphins losses Sunday to punch their ticket to the postseason. Per Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer, head coach Zac Taylor suggested earlier Thursday that Brown is shaping up as a game-day decision for Saturday, with official word on the running back's status set to arrive when the Bengals release their inactive list 90 minutes prior to the team's 8 p.m. ET kickoff. If Brown can't play Saturday or is available only in a limited capacity, Khalil Herbert would likely be in store for a big role out of the backfield.

Works with trainers Thursday
Brown (ankle) was spotted working out with trainers during Thursday's practice, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Brown, who didn't participate in Tuesday's walk-through session and didn't practice Wednesday, thus is trending toward another 'DNP' listing Thursday. The Bengals' upcoming injury report will reveal the running back's game status for Saturday's game against the Steelers, which Cincinnati needs to win in order to have a chance to qualify for the postseason.
Jan 1, 2025
Not practicing
Brown (ankle) isn't practicing Wednesday, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Brown also missed a walk-through practice Tuesday, after injuring his ankle late in the fourth quarter of an eventual overtime win over the Broncos on Saturday. Khalil Herbert played every snap on offense after Brown's departure and could now get a big workload this Saturday against Pittsburgh if Brown doesn't play.
Dec 31, 2024
Sits out walk-through practice
Brown (ankle) didn't participate Tuesday in the Bengals' walk-through practice, Jay Morrison of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Brown is tending to what's believed to be a mild right high-ankle sprain, which he suffered late in this past Saturday's 30-24 overtime win over the Broncos. Bengals offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher said Monday that he's hopeful that Brown will be ready to play in Saturday's regular-season finale in Pittsburgh, but the running back may need to resume practicing in some fashion by Thursday in order for that to become a possibility. If Brown is forced to sit out the Week 18 contest, Khalil Herbert would likely serve as the Bengals' top option out of the backfield.
Dec 30, 2024
Team hopeful he can play Saturday
With regard to the status of Brown (ankle) for this coming Saturday's game against the Steelers, Bengals offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher noted Monday that he's "hopeful' that the running back will be available, Ben Baby of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Pitcher added that he believes that Brown, who sprained his ankle in this past Saturday's overtime win over the Broncos, is "going to work really hard to be out there for us." The 8-8 Bengals head into Week 18 still in contention for a playoff spot, so having Brown available would be a major boost to the team's offense in a must-win scenario. If, however, Brown is limited or out this weekend, Khalil Herbert would be in line for added opportunities versus Pittsburgh.
Dec 29, 2024
Could play in Week 18
Brown, who is dealing with a right ankle sprain, has a chance to play next weekend against the Steelers, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Brown was hurt during Saturday's 30-24 overtime win over the Broncos, but according to Rapoport, the running back's ankle injury is not considered major. Added context regarding Brown's Week 18 status will arrive once the Bengals resume practice, but in the event that he's limited or out versus Pittsburgh, Khalil Herbert would be next in line for work in Cincinnati's backfield.
Dec 28, 2024
Dealing with sprained ankle
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said following Saturday's 30-24 overtime win over Denver that Brown is dealing with a right ankle sprain, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Brown's injury occurred late in the fourth quarter as he slid near the Broncos' goal line in an attempt to avoid the end zone in order to run time off the clock. Cincinnati was able to pull out the must-win game in OT, but Brown was ruled out before the the final points were scored. When asked about Brown's injury after the game, Taylor stated, "I just know it's an ankle sprain, we'll see from there," per Pelissero. The Bengals remain alive in the playoff race, but it's unclear if they'll have their No. 1 running back for next weekend's regular-season finale versus Pittsburgh.
Dec 28, 2024
Ruled out of Saturday's game
Brown won't return to Saturday's game against the Broncos due to a right ankle injury.
ANALYSIS
Brown had his right leg bent under him as he slid just before the goal line inside of the two-minute warning in the fourth quarter. He got to his feet but took only a few steps before falling back to the turf. After a few minutes, Brown made his way to the sideline but had a clear limp as he moved about before being ruled out. Khalil Herbert will man the backfield for the Bengals for the rest of overtime.
Dec 22, 2024
Over 100 total yards in win
Brown rushed 18 times for 91 yards and brought in all three targets for 18 yards in the Bengals' 24-6 win over the Browns on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Brown was the only Bengals running back to log a carry and was typically efficient while also carrying out a modest role in the passing game. The standout second-year pro has at least 70 rushing yards in four of the last five games and multiple receptions in all but one game this season, affording him a very safe fantasy floor heading into a Week 17 home matchup against the Broncos on Saturday afternoon.
Dec 15, 2024
Rushing and receiving TD in Week 15
Brown rushed 25 times for 97 yards and a touchdown while catching all three of his targets for 16 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 37-27 win over the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Brown scored his fourth receiving touchdown of the season on a six-yard catch in the first quarter and added his seventh rushing touchdown on a five-yard run with 1:09 remaining in the fourth quarter. The 2023 third-round pick also came just three yards shy of his second career 100-yard rushing performance. Brown has excelled in the lead role with seven total touchdowns in his last seven games, and he'll look to keep rolling in Week 16 against the Browns.
Dec 9, 2024
Scores ninth TD Monday
Brown rushed 14 times for 58 yards while catching six of eight targets for 65 receiving yards and a touchdown in Monday's 27-20 win over Dallas.
ANALYSIS
Brown scored his ninth touchdown of the season off a lengthy reception Monday, but the play needed a successful challenge to overrule the referees marking the back out at the three-yard line. The 24-year-old got a highlight moment by leaping into the Salvation Army holiday pot at AT&T Stadium, paying homage to Ezekiel Elliott's touchdown celebration back in 2016. Brown has scored all nine of his touchdowns over the Bengals' last 10 games, making him a strong fantasy asset heading in to a soft matchup against the Titans on Sunday.
Dec 1, 2024
Solid game on limited touches
Brown rushed the ball 12 times for 70 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 44-38 loss to the Steelers. He added three receptions on three targets for 30 yards.
ANALYSIS
Brown looked to be in for a huge game as he accounted for 54 rushing yards and a score on the Bengals' second offensive possession. However, Cincinnati found itself chasing the lead for much of the second half, which led to Brown getting only four carries in the final two quarters. Nevertheless, he remains the clear lead back and has now found the end zone or topped 100 yards from scrimmage in five consecutive matchups.
Nov 18, 2024
Goes for 143 yards on 27 touches
Brown carried the ball 22 times for 86 yards while catching five of seven targets for 57 yards in Sunday's 34-27 loss to the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Brown continues to be the bell cow for Cincinnati's backfield, surrendering no carries to fellow running backs while producing 143 yards on 27 total touches. The sophomore out of Illinois failed to extend a modest three-game touchdown streak, but its hard to scoff at this kind of production from a player that was likely snagged off the wire early in the fantasy season. Brown will enter Cincinnati's bye week with 957 yards from scrimmage and seven total touchdowns in as many games played (12) as his rookie season.
Nov 8, 2024
Logs 22 touches in loss
Brown rushed 13 times for 42 yards and a touchdown and secured nine of 11 targets for 52 yards in the Bengals' 35-34 loss to the Ravens on Thursday night. He also lost a fumble.
ANALYSIS
Brown once again filled the lead-back role and was the only Bengals running back to record a rush attempt, but he was nearly as involved as a receiver due to game script. The second-year back finished second in receptions, receiving yards and targets behind Ja'Marr Chase, and he was able to post his fifth rushing touchdown of the season on a one-yard run to cap off the opening possession of the game. Brown will eventually begin sharing touches with the recently acquired Khalil Herbert, but he should continue spearheading the ground attack in a Week 11 road battle against the Chargers on Sunday night, Nov. 17.
Nov 5, 2024
Gets new backfield complement
Brown will remain the Bengals' starting running back for Thursday's game against the Ravens, though he'll have a new backup in the mix for Week 10 after Cincinnati acquired Khalil Herbert from Chicago on Tuesday, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
ANALYSIS
Through the Bengals' first eight games of the season, Brown had been working in a timeshare out of the backfield with Zack Moss, but Brown dominated the snaps and touches in the Week 9 win over the Raiders after Moss was ruled out for the contest due to a neck injury. In the 41-24 victory, Brown played 79 percent of the snaps and amassed a career-high 120 yards on the ground while taking on all of the running-back usage (27 carries, five receptions), as reserves Trayveon Williams (seven snaps) and Kendall Milton (five snaps) didn't log any touches. Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reported Tuesday that Moss is slated to miss at least the rest of the regular season due to the injury, but the addition of Herbert -- who has averaged 4.8 yards per carry over 48 career games -- provides more formidable competition for supplementary work behind Brown than Williams or Milton. With Herbert in the fold, Brown shouldn't be expected to handle 100 percent of the backfield usage like he did in Week 9, but Brown still has a fa
Nov 4, 2024
Estimated as full participant
Brown (rib) was listed as a full participant on Monday's practice estimate.
ANALYSIS
Per Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network, Brown suffered a bruised rib in Sunday's win over the Raiders, but the running back's listed full participation a day later indicates that his availability for Thursday night's game against the Ravens is not in danger. With Zack Moss on track to miss time with a neck injury, Brown appears poised to maintain a heavy workload versus Baltimore and likely beyond, after logging a career-high 27 carries against Las Vegas.
Nov 4, 2024
Bruised rib in win over Las Vegas
Speaking Monday, coach Zac Taylor said Brown suffered a bruised rib in Sunday's win over the Raiders, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Brown briefly exited Sunday's win but quickly returned and went on to set career highs in carries (27), rushing yards (120) and receptions (five), totaling 157 yards and one touchdown on his 32 touches. Meanwhile, Trayveon Williams didn't handle a single carry or target as the backup. With Zack Moss (neck) now out indefinitely, according to Taylor via Adam Schefter of ESPN, Brown looks like a locked-in every-down back moving forward, assuming his rib injury isn't serious. The Bengals have a quick Week 10 turnaround with a road game against the division-rival Ravens on tap for Thursday night.
Nov 3, 2024
Capitalizes on lead-back role
Brown rushed 27 for 120 yards and brought in all five targets for 37 yards and a touchdown in the Bengals' 41-27 win over the Raiders on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
With Zack Moss (neck) sidelined, Brown essentially had the Bengals' backfield to himself. The second-year back mustered career highs in both rush attempts and rushing yardage, and he recorded his second receiving touchdown of the campaign on an impressive one-yard catch in the back of the end zone late in the first quarter. Brown had already been trending toward the No. 1 back role -- Sunday marked his sixth straight game with double-digit carries -- and given the returns he provided against the Raiders, Brown should remain atop the ground attack irrespective of Moss's status for a Week 10 road matchup against the Ravens on Thursday night.
Nov 3, 2024
Three-down role likely awaits
Brown is expected to take on the majority of the snaps out of the Cincinnati backfield in Sunday's game against the Raiders with Zack Moss (neck) inactive for the contest, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Brown had already played 48 percent of the snaps or more in each of the last three games while outproducing Moss and seemingly emerging as Option 1A in Cincinnati's backfield timeshare, but the absence of Moss for Week 9 should pave the way for Brown to see his most significant playing time to date. Cincinnati's other active running backs include special-teams standout Trayveon Williams and practice-squad call-up Kendall Milton, neither of whom have logged a snap on offense in 2024. Expect the backups to be sprinkled in lightly while Brown likely handles a three-down role, at least for as long as Sunday's contest stays competitive.
Nov 1, 2024
Added touches likely with Moss hurt
Brown is likely to see the lion's share of touches in the Bengals backfield Sunday against the Raiders, as Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports that Zack Moss (neck) is doubtful.
ANALYSIS
Brown stands to benefit from Moss's surprise addition to the injury report Friday. While Moss has been on hand to split backfield duties, Brown has played more than half of Cincinnati's offensive snaps only twice this season, and Brown was on the field for 48 percent of snaps in Week 8 against the Eagles compared to Moss's 52 percent. If the Bengals continue to distrust Brown's pass protection, that could create an opportunity for Trayveon Williams to play a meaningful role against the Raiders as well.
Oct 27, 2024
Salvages day with TD
Brown rushed 12 times for 32 yards and a touchdown and brought in two of four targets for four yards in the Bengals' 37-17 loss to the Eagles on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Brown outpaced Zack Moss by seven carries as the clear lead back, but neither player found much success on the ground. However, Brown did record his fourth rushing touchdown of the season on a four-yard run in the latter portion of the third quarter, and he also managed double-digit carries for the fifth straight game. Brown projects to remain atop Cincinnati's ground attack in a favorable Week 9 home matchup against the Raiders.
Oct 20, 2024
Leads Cincy backfield
Brown rushed the ball 15 times for 44 yards in Sunday's 21-14 win over the Browns. He added two receptions on two targets for nine yards.
ANALYSIS
Brown seemed to flip the Cincinnati backfield in his favor in Week 6 after Zack Moss lost a fumble, and that usage continued in Sunday's win. He saw 17 total touches to Moss' nine, and he out-gained Moss on the ground 44-7. While Brown's usage was positive, he left plenty to be desired in terms of efficiency, as 11 of his 15 carries went for three yards or fewer. Despite the disappointing performance, he looks to be in line for plenty of volume heading into a Week 8 matchup against the Eagles.
Oct 14, 2024
Gets extra work in win
Brown rushed the ball 10 times for 53 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 17-7 win over the Giants. He added two receptions on three targets for 11 yards.
ANALYSIS
Brown split work evenly with Zack Moss throughout the first half, and neither back was effective. However, Moss began the third quarter on the field and lost a fumble, leading to him being benched for the rest of the game. Brown remained unimpressive for the majority of the time with the backfield to himself, including coughing up the ball as Cincinnati was attempting to close out the win. He did manage to redeem himself with a game-clinching 30-yard scamper one play later, and things continue to point to Brown gaining a larger role in the backfield moving forward.
Oct 13, 2024
Suiting up Sunday
Brown (quadricep) is listed as active for Sunday's game at the Giants, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
ANALYSIS
Though coach Zac Taylor noted Friday that Brown would be good to go for the contest, the running back was ultimately deemed questionable ahead of Week 6 action after logging his second straight limited practice. While Brown's availability versus New York didn't really appear in danger, his official injury report listing nonetheless made his status worth confirming. Now that he's been made active, Brown is in a position to continue to share backfield duties with Zack Moss. With that arrangement in play, during Cincinnati's first five contests this season, Brown has carried 41 times for 230 yards and two TDs and added 10 catches for 39 yards and another score, while Moss has recorded 57 carries for 211 yards and two touchdowns and caught 15 passes for 124 yards and a TD.
Oct 12, 2024
Should play Sunday night
Brown (quadricep), who is listed as questionable for Sunday night's contest against the Giants, is expected to play, Jordan Schultz of FOX Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Head coach Zac Taylor confirmed as much talking with the media Friday, but it's still a sigh of relief for fantasy managers given the 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff could have complicated some decisions. Expect Brown and Zack Moss to continue operating in the tandem that has seen both running backs total three touchdowns on the young campaign.
Oct 11, 2024
Questionable for Sunday
Brown (quadricep) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Brown was a midweek addition to the Bengals' practice report Thursday as limited due to a quad injury. On Friday, coach Zac Taylor relayed to Geoff Hobson of the team's official site that both Brown and fellow RB Zack Moss (foot) were good to go for Week 6 action, but Brown won't avoid a designation heading into the weekend. While Brown seemingly is in line to be available Sunday, his status won't be confirmed until about 90 minutes before an 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff.
Oct 11, 2024
Ready for Week 6 action
Coach Zac Taylor noted Friday that Brown (quadricep) is good to go for Sunday night's game against the Giants, Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site and Ben Baby of ESPN.com report.
ANALYSIS
The quad injury that limited Brown on Thursday was evidently very minor, and he's in line to continue to share backfield duties with Zack Moss (foot), who is also set to be available this weekend, per Taylor. Through Cincinnati's first five contests, Brown has carried 41 times for 230 yards and two TDs and added 10 catches for 39 yards and a lone receiving score, while Moss has logged 57 carries for 211 yards and two TDs and caught 15 passes for 124 yards and a receiving score.

Added to injury report
Brown was added to the injury report Thursday as a limited practice participant due to a quadriceps injury, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
ANALYSIS
With Zack Moss recovering from a foot injury, there's been some thought Brown could take on a huge workload this Sunday against the Giants. That's still a possibility, only now there's another variable. The Bengals' No. 3 running back, Trayveon Williams, has largely been a special teams player throughout his six-year pro career.

Leading rusher in OT loss
Brown carried the ball 12 times for 46 yards and caught all three of his targets for eight yards in Sunday's 41-38 overtime loss to the Ravens. He also ran in a two-point conversion.
ANALYSIS
The second-year RB led the Bengals in rushing yards while seeing 15 or more touches for the second straight game. While Brown's usage is already on the upswing, he could have the backfield to himself in Week 6 against the Giants, as Zack Moss suffered an ankle injury late in the fourth quarter Sunday and didn't get another touch the rest of the way.

Draws even split in backfield
Brown rushed the ball 15 times for 80 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 34-24 win over the Panthers. He added two receptions on three targets for 12 yards.
ANALYSIS
After showcasing strong efficiency on limited touches through three games, Brown managed to match Zack Moss' workload in Week 4. That began early on near the goal line when Brown replaced Moss and punched in the team's first touchdown of the day from three yards away. With the team in positive game script for much of the second half, Brown split carries evenly and tallied another touchdown from one yard out while also recording a long run of 20 yards. It's unclear whether Brown has secured this role consistently moving forward, but his usage Sunday was a significant step forward for his fantasy utility.
Sep 23, 2024
Leading rusher on seven totes
Brown rushed seven times for 62 yards and caught two of three targets for seven yards in Monday's 38-33 loss to the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
Brown continued to excel in his current change-of-pace role behind starter Zack Moss (12-58-1) in Monday's primetime loss. The sophomore rusher wound up leading the Bengals in rushing yards despite receiving five less carries than the team's incumbent starter. Brown would need a promotion or an injury to open up playing time to become a trustworthy fantasy option in standard leagues. That said, his strong production on a per-touch basis this season highlights a potential stash option as the season progresses. Those in deeper formats can give the 2023 fifth-round pick a look against the Panthers in Week 4.
Sep 16, 2024
Limited impact in loss
Brown rushed four times for 31 yards while also returning a kick for 28 yards in Sunday's 26-25 loss to Kansas City.
ANALYSIS
Brown was limited to just four touches while playing 13 of the team's 64 offensive snaps, most notably scampering for a 12-yard rush in the fourth quarter. The running back is firmly behind Zack Moss as Cincinnati's No. 2 option in the backfield in the early going as Moss played 51 snaps with the offense. Through two games, Brown has turned seven carries into 42 rushing yards while securing all three of his targets for 12 yards. His 6.0 yards per carry is promising compared to Moss's 3.7 and Brown will likely see his workload increase as the season goes on. After a pair of tough matchups to open the season, Brown will look to get loose against the Commanders' defense that has allowed 241 rushing yards through two games.
Sep 11, 2024
Six touches in loss
Brown rushed three times for 11 yards and caught all three of his targets for 12 yards in Sunday's 16-10 loss to the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Brown was on the field for just 17 of the Bengals' 51 offensive snaps Sunday, roughly half of teammate Zack Moss who finished with 33 snaps in the contest. The split between the two backs was unclear entering the contest, but Moss seemed to be the preferred option while carrying the ball nine times and seeing four targets through the air. Though Brown's role left much to be desired for fantasy managers hoping he could take a step forward this season, there is certainly room to grow as the more explosive option on a team that struggled offensively in Week 1. The 24-year-old will look to take on a larger share of Cincinnati's split backfield when the Bengals visit the Chiefs in Week 2.
Sep 4, 2024
Set to share work with Moss
The nature of Cincinnati's backfield split between Brown and Zack Moss remains somewhat unclear ahead of Sunday's game against New England, Paul Dehner of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
There's agreement from Bengals beat writers that both RBs will be heavily involved, and the good news for fantasy is that there may even be room for both to thrive with the team opening its season at home as a heavy favorite. The Bengals won't always be favored by more than a touchdown, of course, and there will be plenty of weeks in which WRs Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins comfortably outproduce the running backs. It'll thus be important to keep close tabs on how the Bengals deploy Moss and Brown in various situations, although there's some chance it's more of a hot-hand approach than anything else. Brown is much faster and more dangerous in the open field, but Moss is viewed as a superior blocker and could thus take a lot of playing time in pass situations even if he's less threatening on screens and dump-offs. And while Moss is a logical favorite for goal-line carries, it's possible even those opportunities are split between the two RBs to some degree.

Heavy workload on opening drive
Brown rushed five times for 10 yards and brought in his only target for no gain in the Bengals' 17-14 preseason loss to the Buccaneers on Saturday night.
ANALYSIS
With Zack Moss (illness) sidelined, Brown got the starting nod and saw a hefty workload on the opening possession. Brown logged three straight carries starting with the second play from scrimmage, with his game-long run of six yards coming on the final touch in that sequence. The second-year back added a five-yard gain later in the drive as he prepares to handle what will presumably be a markedly larger volume of touches than the 58 he logged across 12 regular-season games as a rookie while sharing the backfield with the departed Joe Mixon.
Jul 27, 2024
Working with starters a lot
Brown took a majority of first-team reps during the first three practices of training camp, Charlie Clifford of NBC 5 Cincinnati reports.
ANALYSIS
Free-agent signing Zack Moss is healthy and also getting some first-team work, but apparently not quite as much as Brown, a 2023 fifth-round pick who averaged 8.8 touches for 53.7 yards over the final six weeks of last season. It was a promising finish to his rookie year, with the stipulation that Brown's production came from a few big plays rather than snap-to-snap consistency (he also played only eight snaps on offense before Week 13). There are some other positives in his profile, including a 4.43 40-yard dash (at 5-foot-10, 209 pounds) and a senior season at Illinois with 355 touches for 1,883 yards and 13 TDs. The question now is whether Brown shows enough skill development to earn a starting job over the steady-but-boring Moss.

Looks set for No. 2 role
Brown appears primed to work as the top backup to Zack Moss following the 2024 NFL Draft, Paul Dehner of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The Bengals didn't select a single running back across 10 picks in this year's draft, so even if the team brings in a handful of talented UDFAs, Brown looks like a notable winner for fantasy purposes. He flashed across 12 appearances as a rookie last season, and while Moss' experience with a large workload and on third downs may make him the favorite for the No. 1 role, Brown's short-area burst could make him an effective complementary option. If Brown can put together a solid offseason and push for increased touches, he could be an interesting late-round sleeper in 2024 drafts.

Opportunity knocks as Mixon traded
Brown bumps up to the No. 2 spot on Cincinnati's depth chart behind Zack Moss, with Joe Mixon being traded to the Texans on Tuesday, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Brown earned a larger role in Cincinnati's offense during the second half of his rookie season, securing the No. 2 gig for himself during the final six games of the campaign, but he ended the year with just 44 carries for 179 yards, plus 14 catches for 156 yards and a score. Though Moss is coming off an impressive season in Indianapolis, Brown could offer him real competition for touches, depending on what other additions the Bengals make to the running back depth chart.
Jan 10, 2024
Handles 12 touches in Week 18
Brown rushed 11 times for 43 yards and caught one of two targets for 10 yards in Sunday's 31-14 win over the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Brown continued to operate as the No. 2 running back behind starter Joe Mixon in the season finale, with the rookie's 11 carries marking his highest total of the campaign. Though he saw a larger role over the second half of the season, Brown's opportunities were fairly limited in 2023, as he totaled 44 carries for 179 yards and added 14 catches for 156 yards and a touchdown over 12 games. Though Mixon is under contract for 2024, he's owed a $3 million roster bonus March 16, so Brown's role heading into next season should come into focus by that date. Even if the Bengals elect to keep Mixon in the fold next season, it's possible that the 23-year-old Brown earns a larger role as part of a timeshare after Mixon continued to demonstrate middling efficiency as a rusher in 2023. Mixon has now finished with 4.1 yards per carry or fewer in each of the last five seasons.
Jan 3, 2024
Five touches against Chiefs
Brown rushed three times for five yards and caught both of his targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 25-17 loss to the Chiefs.
ANALYSIS
Brown continued to operate as the Cincinnati's No. 2 running back, playing 11 of the Bengals' 74 offensive snaps Sunday. With little usage behind veteran Joe Mixon, the rookie's fantasy utility is limited in the Bengals' offense. Brown remains far off the fantasy radar as the Bengals host the Browns in Week 18.
Dec 27, 2023
Handles six touches
Brown rushed four times for 16 yards and secured both of his targets for eight yards in Saturday's 34-11 loss to the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Brown operated as the Bengals' No. 2 running back Saturday, playing 14 of Cincinnati's 64 offensive snaps. Meanwhile, starter Joe Mixon played 38 snaps and carried the ball 11 times in the contest. Brown has earned extra opportunities in recent weeks, but he saw a dip in his recent usage on a day when the Bengals struggled to get much going on offense. The rookie will look to get more involved behind Mixon in a Week 17 matchup with the Chiefs.
Dec 20, 2023
Upgrades to full practice
Brown (sternum) was a full participant in practice Wednesday, Jay Morrison of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Brown thus is set to reprise his role as the No. 2 RB, following three straight games with at least nine touches on 18 or fewer snaps. Joe Mixon is still dominating the playing time in Cincinnati's backfield, but Brown also has emerged as a significant piece of the offense, remarkably touching the ball on 71.4 percent of his snaps over the past three weeks. He should stay involved Saturday against Pittsburgh, though the limited playing time does imply a rather low floor for fantasy production.
Dec 19, 2023
Dealing with injured sternum
Brown was limited at Tuesday's practice due to a sternum injury, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Brown entered Week 13 with five touches in the first six appearances of his career, but the rookie fifth-round pick has come on the last three games, combining for 30 touches for 217 yards from scrimmage and one receiving TD. Assuming he gets through Week 16 prep and is able to play Saturday in Pittsburgh, he'll be a decent enough option for managers in need of an RB option.
Dec 16, 2023
Role continues to increase
Brown ran for 23 yards on seven carries against Minnesota on Saturday, adding three receptions for 28 yards on three targets.
ANALYSIS
It was a modest showing for Brown overall, but the interesting development is that he nearly matched the carry count of starter Joe Mixon (10). Brown's three targets also matched Mixon's target count. Brown will continue to play off the bench for the Bengals, but it appears he's gaining on Mixon on the Cincinnati depth chart.
Dec 11, 2023
Breakout performance
Brown had three catches for 80 yards and a touchdown to go along with eight carries for 25 yards in the Bengals' win over the Colts.
ANALYSIS
Brown was an afterthought early on in the season, but he's had big plays each of the last weeks after finally recovering from a hamstring injury that sidelined him for four games. Joe Mixon is still the man, but Brown is becoming a reliable second back for the Bengals.
Dec 7, 2023
Takes full reps Thursday
Brown (hamstring) was a full practice participant Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Brown opened Week 14 prep as a limited participant, though his ability to take every rep a day later likely confirms that his reps were capped Wednesday mainly for maintenance purposes after he took a season-high nine carries for 61 yards over his 11 snaps in Monday's 34-31 overtime win over Jacksonville. Meanwhile, lead back Joe Mixon scored two touchdowns but averaged fewer than 4.0 yards per carry for the second game in a row, which could prompt the Bengals to carve out a consistent role on the ground for Brown moving forward as the team seeks more efficiency for its rushing attack. Mixon should continue to rank as Cincinnati's clear top back on passing downs even if the coaching staff elects to lighten his workload as a ball carrier in future weeks.
Dec 6, 2023
Limited on Wednesday's estimate
Brown (hamstring) was listed as limited on Wednesday's practice estimate, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
ANALYSIS
Brown will look to return to full practice participation Thursday or Friday to avoid the injury report heading into Sunday's clash with the Colts. Cincinnati held a walkthrough Wednesday after Monday's 34-31 win in Jacksonville, during which Brown rushed nine times for 61 yards. The 2023 fifth-round draft pick came into Monday's win with only two carries all season, but he could be a larger part of the offense moving forward, assuming Brown's healthy enough to play.
Nov 29, 2023
Plays on special teams in return
Brown failed to record a single carry or target in Sunday's 16-10 loss to the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Brown returned to the field Sunday after four weeks on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, but he failed to play a single snap on offense. Instead, the rookie running back was used on special teams, playing just 11 snaps. Brown sits behind both Joe Mixon and Trayveon Williams on the depth chart, and he'll be far off the fantasy radar when the Bengals visit the Jaguars in Week 13.
Nov 26, 2023
Back in action Sunday
Brown (hamstring) is active for Sunday's game against the Steelers, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
ANALYSIS
Brown was activated from IR on Saturday, and he'll be in uniform for the first time since Week 6. In five games prior to landing in IR, the 2023 fifth-rounder carried just twice for six yards and caught three passes for seven yards, so until the rookie carves out a steady role behind top back Joe Mixon in a backfield that also includes Trayveon Williams, he'll be off the fantasy radar.
Nov 25, 2023
Activated off IR
The Bengals activated Brown (hamstring) off injured reserve Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Brown was nearing the end of his 21-day window to be activated before this move. He is now on the active roster, but it remains to be seen if he will be active for Sunday's tilt against the Steelers. When healthy, he is expected to provide depth at running back, while also being an option to contribute on special teams.
Nov 24, 2023
Questionable after full practices
Brown (hamstring) is still on injured reserve but is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Brown will need to be activated from injured reserve by 4 p.m. ET on Saturday to play Sunday. The rookie running back had his 21-day window to return from injured reserve opened Monday and subsequently participated fully in all three of Cincinnati's practices. If he's activated for Sunday's game, Brown could split the opportunities behind Joe Mixon with Trayveon Williams and Chris Evans in a Bengals offense that may become more run-heavy after Joe Burrow's season-ending wrist injury.
Nov 20, 2023
Designated to return from IR
The Bengals designated Brown (hamstring) to return from injured reserve Monday.
ANALYSIS
The move opens Brown's 21-day practice window after he was initially sent to injured reserve on Oct. 28. The fifth-round rookie has appeared in five games, rushing two times for six yards and catching three passes for seven yards.
Oct 28, 2023
Moved to IR
The Bengals placed Brown (hip) on injured reserve Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Head coach Zac Taylor noted via Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site Friday that Brown picked up the injury in practice earlier in the week. He'll be forced to sit out for the next four games and will be eligible to return against the Steelers on Nov. 26. In the meantime, Trayveon Williams and Chris Evans will be in line for an increased workload behind starter Joe Mixon.
Oct 27, 2023
Ruled out for Week 8
Brown (hamstring) won't play Sunday against San Francisco and is week-to-week, per coach Zac Taylor, Geoff Hobson of the Bengals' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Taylor confirmed that Brown injured his hamstring in practice earlier in the week. With the rookie running back sidelined, Trayveon Williams and Zach Evans will be on hand as backup options behind workhorse Joe Mixon against the 49ers on Sunday.
Oct 26, 2023
Tending to hamstring injury
Brown (hamstring) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Brown and the Bengals are coming off a bye, so it would seem he picked up the hamstring issue at practice during the week. If he can't log a full practice Friday, he figures to carry an injury designation into the weekend.
Oct 18, 2023
Two touches in win
Brown rushed once for four yards and secured his only target for eight yards in Sunday's 17-13 win over the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
Brown operated as Cincinnati's No. 3 back, playing just four of the Bengals' 54 offensive snaps Sunday. The rookie's one rushing attempt was his first since Week 2 while he has earned just one target through the air in each of the last three games. Barring an injury to starter Joe Mixon or primary backup Trayveon Williams, Brown will likely continue to see extremely limited usage in the Bengals' offense. Cincinnati heads into a Week 7 bye before returning to visit the 49ers in Week 8.
Oct 1, 2023
Suiting up again
Brown is active for the second consecutive game Week 4 against the Titans, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
ANALYSIS
Brown got the chance to make his season debut last week and played a few snaps on special teams, in addition to getting his first career carry. The reason for that was largely assumed to be fellow running back depth option Chris Evans sitting out with a hamstring injury, but Evans is back this week, and Brown remains active. Still, both options will presumably be working behind Joe Mixon and Trayveon Williams. While it represents progress for Brown, the rookie still has several hurdles to climb before obtaining fantasy relevance.
Sep 19, 2023
First NFL carry
Brown played one offensive snap in the Week 2 loss to the Ravens and had one carry for two yards.
ANALYSIS
Brown also played seven snaps on special teams. He was active after sitting out the week before thanks to Chris Evans's injury, but he's also currently behind Trayveon Williams in the Bengals RB pecking order.
Sep 17, 2023
Will make debut
Brown is active Sunday against the Ravens, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Brown was a healthy scratch Week 1, but with No. 3 running back Chris Evans (hamstring) inactive, the Illinois product will get the chance to operate in that role Sunday.
Sep 10, 2023
Won't debut Week 1
Brown (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's matchup against the Browns.
ANALYSIS
A rookie fifth-round pick, Brown had an underwhelming preseason but still landed a spot on the Bengals' 53-man roster. However, it appears the Illinois product is still buried on the depth chart, as Trayveon Williams and Chris Evans will operate as the primary backups to Joe Mixon in Week 1.
Aug 26, 2023
Looking good for roster spot
Brown had 11 carries for 39 yards and two catches for a loss of one yard in Saturday's 21-19 preseason loss to the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
Th Bengals didn't have Joe Mixon (rest), Chris Evans (undisclosed) or Trayveon Williams (ankle), leaving Brown to make the start and dominate playing time early in the game with the second-team offense. Cincinnati then turned things over to undrafted rookies Jacob Saylors and Calvin Tyler, neither of whom did anything to unseat Brown, a fifth-round pick. Reports suggest Evans is the favorite to spell Mixon on third downs, but Brown at least appears in good position for a roster spot heading into Week 1 at Cleveland.
Aug 18, 2023
Punches in late score
Brown rushed the ball nine times for 18 yards with a touchdown in Friday's 13-13 tie against the Falcons in preseason action.
ANALYSIS
Brown was the second back on the field for Cincinnati behind Chris Evans, though he still played late on the team's opening possession. He hasn't found much room to run in his first two games as a pro, tallying only 30 yards on 17 carries. On the bright side, Brown did manage to punch in a goal-line carry from three yards away late in the fourth quarter. Brown appears to be behind Evans on the depth chart at this point in the preseason, though he'll have one more opportunity to impress the team in game action prior to the regular season kicking off.
Aug 11, 2023
Struggles rushing in debut
Brown rushed eight times for 12 yards and caught all three of his targets for 33 yards in Friday's 36-19 preseason loss to the Packers.
ANALYSIS
Brown came into the game after Chris Evans, who was far more effective on the ground, with 49 yards on seven carries. The rookie fifth-round pick salvaged his debut with a decent performance as a pass catcher, but Brown appears to be trailing Evans in the competition for the No. 2 spot on the running back depth chart behind Joe Mixon. Trayveon Williams (ankle) is also in the mix despite sitting this game out, and all three will have a chance to improve their standing in the team's next preseason game, Aug. 18 at Atlanta.
Apr 29, 2023
Added to Cincinnati backfield
The Bengals selected Brown in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, 163rd overall.
ANALYSIS
Brown (5-foot-10, 209 pounds) took mammoth workloads at Illinois but on that frame probably can't take up a workhorse role for more than a few games at a time at the NFL level. He should still emerge as fantasy-relevant at some point in the next couple years, though, because he clearly possesses above-average athleticism and no worse than an average skill set. That Brown's production at Illinois was mostly driven by volume could be an indication that he lacks upside in terms of skill, but he's adept at passing down functions and can credibly compete for a variety of tasks. Throw in a 4.43-second 40, 40-inch vertical and 127-inch broad jump and Brown's broader prospect profile still tilts toward above average sooner than the contrary. As much as Brown won't be challenging Joe Mixon as the Bengals' starting running back, expect him to do well with whatever opportunities he gets, and he could quickly move past Trayveon Williams and Chris Evans on the depth chart.
