Candidate for more work
Brooks had one carry for eight yards in Sunday's 27-20 victory over the Giants.
ANALYSIS
It was a typical appearance for Brooks, who got a few snaps -- five, even with starter Josh Jacobs (knee) leaving the game -- but hardly enough to make a fantasy impact. Jacobs is not believed to be facing an extended absence, but his status is uncertain for Green Bay's Week 12 matchup with the Vikings, and if he is unable to go Brooks could see a few more opportunities, particularly on passing downs. Fellow reserve Emanuel Wilson, though, would be the heavy favorite to be the lead back for the Packers if Jacobs misses one game or more.
Nov 12, 2025
Not involved against Eagles
Brooks failed to record a single rushing attempt or target in Monday's 10-7 loss to the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Brooks was a complete non-factor Monday night, playing just six of the Packers' 68 offensive snaps in the contest. The third-year running back has not handled a single carry for the past for games and is averaging a 12 percent offensive snap share this season. Brooks remains far off the fantasy radar based on his limited usage as the No. 3 running back behind starter Josh Jacobs and backup Emanuel Wilson. Next up for the Packers is a Week 11 matchup with the Giants.
Nov 3, 2025
Corrals two passes
Brooks was targeted twice and had two receptions for 24 yards in Sunday's 16-13 loss to the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
Brooks played 11 snaps in Week 9 -- the most he has recorded in a game since Week 2 -- and got a couple touches, but it was still only the second time all season he finished with more than one. He remains the third running back on the depth chart for the Packers.
Oct 27, 2025
Stuck at third string
Brooks did not record a touch in Sunday's 35-25 victory over the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Brooks did not get the ball for second time in as many games and was only on the field for a season-low three snaps. Josh Jacobs has had a lighter workload than usual in recent weeks, but Emanuel Wilson has soaked up the extra opportunities, leaving a clear pecking order in Green Bay's backfield.
Oct 20, 2025
Remains in bit role
Brooks was targeted once but did not record a touch in Sunday's 27-23 victory over the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
Fellow reserve running back Emanuel Wilson saw some extra snaps with top ball carrier Josh Jacobs spending less time on the field than usual due to an illness and calf injury, but there was no visible change to the workload for Brooks. The pecking order is pretty clearly defined in Green Bay's backfield, and Wilson -- who played 68 snaps to 25 for Brooks over the last four games -- would be the primary beneficiary should Jacobs sustain any sort of setback.
Oct 15, 2025
Handles one carry in Week 6
Brooks rushed once for one yard in Sunday's 27-18 win over the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
Brooks continued to operate as the No. 3 running back behind Josh Jacobs and Emanuel Wilson, playing just five of the Packers' 61 offensive snaps Sunday. The 25-year-old can be ignored for fantasy purposes going based on his extremely limited usage. Next up for the Packers is a road game against the Cardinals in Week 7.
Sep 30, 2025
Dropping down depth chart
Brooks had one reception for one yard in Sunday's 40-40 tie with the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Brooks played just five snaps on offense in Week 4, which put him well behind both starter Josh Jacobs and fellow reserve Emanuel Wilson, who was on the field for 25 plays. Brooks played over Wilson during the first two weeks of the season, but the latter tallied 17 touches to just one for Brooks over the last two weeks, so Brooks will reside in the third spot on the depth chart heading into Green Bay's Week 5 bye.
Sep 22, 2025
No touches in loss
Brooks did not record a touch in Sunday's 13-10 loss to the Browns.
ANALYSIS
The eight snaps Brooks played in Week 3 were not far off the 10 snaps he averaged over the first two weeks, but he did not get the football after racking up five touches beforehand. Brooks and Emanuel Wilson -- who finished with six carries Sunday -- will continue working situationally behind starting running back Josh Jacobs.
Sep 12, 2025
Three catches in Week 2 win
Brooks didn't record a carry but caught three of four targets for 27 yards in Thursday's 27-18 win over the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
Brooks played 13 snaps on offense to Emanuel Wilson's five, suggesting the former has established himself as the top backup to workhorse Josh Jacobs, at least until MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) reenters the picture. Barring an injury to Jacobs, none of Green Bay's backup running backs will have much standalone fantasy value.
Sep 8, 2025
Operates as backup
Brooks had one carry for one yard and one reception for two yards in Sunday's 27-13 victory over the Lions.
ANALYSIS
Josh Jacobs started at running back and handled all but three of the 23 touches racked up by Green Bay ball carriers, but Brooks was next in line, finishing with nine snaps and two touches compared to the two plays and one carry logged by fellow reserve Emanuel Wilson. The latter is a more effective runner and -- depending on the status of MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) -- could be the favorite for carries if Jacobs were to go down, but as things stand consider Brooks the No. 2 option thanks to his superiority in the passing game, both as a receiver and blocker.
Aug 23, 2025
Works behind Jacobs
Brooks recorded four carries for 15 yards in Saturday's 20-7 preseason win over the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
Brooks was the second back into the game behind Josh Jacobs, though he did rotate carries with Emanuel Wilson for a few drives. Wilson was the more efficient back but played deeper into the game, suggesting Brooks could be either second or third on the depth chart depending on Marshawn Lloyd's (hamstring) status for a Week 1 matchup against the Lions.
Aug 11, 2025
Finishes with five carries
Brooks had five carries for 17 yards in Saturday's 30-10 preseason loss to the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Roles remain unsettled behind starting running back Josh Jacobs, but with fellow ball carriers Emanuel Wilson (knee) and MarShawn Lloyd (groin) absent for the exhibition opener, Brooks worked as the No. 2 option -- and essentially the top back with Jacobs playing only one snap. Expect Brooks, Wilson and Lloyd to continue competing for snaps -- and perhaps a roster spot -- all the way up until cutdown day.
Aug 7, 2025
Taking some first-team snaps
Brooks has been getting some first-team snaps while fellow running backs Emanuel Wilson (knee) and MarShawn Lloyd (groin) recover from injuries, Wes Hodkiewicz of packers.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Some may have assumed that Lloyd, a 2024 third-round pick, would settle in as the No. 2 running back after an injury-plagued rookie season. It instead seems Wilson was putting up a good fight to keep the job, at least until he left practice early last Friday with a knee injury, four days after the groin issue forced Lloyd out of action. Neither has returned yet, leaving Brooks as the No. 2 RB in training camp after he handled the No. 3 role for most of last year. He'll presumably have a spot on the practice squad, if nothing else, with a chance to get involved on offense if Josh Jacobs misses time.
Jan 14, 2025
Minimal production against Eagles
Brooks caught two of three targets for nine yards in Sunday's 22-10 wild-card loss to the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Brooks failed to record a single carry for the sixth time this season. The 25-year-old running back played just 16 of the Packers' 66 offensive snaps Sunday, behind Josh Jacobs (41) and ahead of Emanuel Wilson (11). Brooks finished the 2024 regular season with 36 carries for 183 yards and a touchdown, adding 11 receptions for 69 yards on 13 targets. The BYU product is under contract for the 2025 season before becoming a restricted free agent in 2026. Brooks will likely continue to compete with Wilson for backup duties behind Jacobs next season.
Jan 6, 2025
Effective in Week 18
Brooks had eight carries for 59 yards in Sunday's 24-22 loss to the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Although the Packers ended the regular season on a down note, Brooks ended it on a high one, setting season highs in both the rushing attempts and yards categories. Brooks averaged a quality 5.1 YPC during the regular season, but it's unlikely he will be much of a factor in the postseason, as starting running back Josh Jacobs will be at full speed and fellow reserve Emanuel Wilson took 31 carries to Brooks' 14 over the last three weeks.
Jan 3, 2025
Cleared to play Sunday
Brooks (ankle) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Brooks was limited in practice Wednesday and Thursday but is good to go for the regular-season finale against Chicago. With Green Bay likely (73.9 percent) ticketed for the No. 7 seed in the NFC, there's a chance Brooks sees an uptick in playing time against the Bears, as Josh Jacobs has already stated he doesn't believe he's going to play his full workload. Green Bay could use more of Emanuel Wilson and Brooks out of the backfield, allowing Jacobs to rest a bit more ahead of next weekend's playoff opener.
Jan 2, 2025
Remains limited Thursday
Brooks (ankle) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Brooks has opened the week with consecutive limited practices due to an ankle injury he likely picked up during the Packers' Week 17 loss against the Vikings. He didn't register a carry across seven offensive snaps in that game, but in the five games prior he turned 15 carries into 71 yards and a touchdown while adding five catches on as many targets for 27 yards. Brooks could have a larger role on offense in Sunday's regular-season finale against the Bears if Josh Jacobs (wrist) is limited or unable to play.
Jan 1, 2025
Dealing with ankle injury
Brooks was limited in Wednesday's practice due to an ankle issue, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Brooks logged seven offensive snaps and 12 special-teams snaps Sunday in a loss to Minnesota, and he appears to have come out of the contest with an ankle injury. The 24-year-old tallied a season-high seven touches Week 16 in a blowout win over New Orleans but didn't get any touches versus the Vikings in Week 17. Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur said Monday that the Packers will play their starters while being "mindful" of injured players in the team's season finale, per Zach Jacobson of 247Sports.com, so if Brooks is able to suit up he could see a bit more work than usual with starting RB Josh Jacobs currently managing a wrist injury.
Jan 1, 2025
No touches in Week 17
Brooks failed to record a single carry or target in Sunday's 27-25 loss to the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Brooks was held without a touch for just the fourth time all season. The second-year running back played just eight of the Packers' 63 offensive snaps Sunday, behind both Josh Jacobs (40) and Emanuel Wilson (20). Brooks remains far of the fantasy radar as Green Bay's No. 3 running back heading into a Week 18 matchup against the Bears.
Dec 24, 2024
Tallies first touchdown
Brooks had six carries for 23 yards and a touchdown and one reception for two yards in Monday's 34-0 victory over the Saints.
ANALYSIS
Brooks came close to picking up his first score a couple times earlier in the season, and he finally found paydirt in Week 16. Both Brooks and Emanuel Wilson were more involved than usual Monday, but that's because the Packers ran away on the scoreboard and conserved starter Josh Jacobs. In a key matchup for both the Packers and Vikings in Week 17, it seems likely Jacobs will reprise his role as the bell cow back.
Dec 18, 2024
One carry in Week 15
Brooks rushed once for six yards and caught his lone target for nine yards in Sunday's 30-13 win over the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
Operating as the Packers' No. 2 running back, Brooks played just 16 of Green Bay's 64 offensive snaps Sunday, well behind starter Josh Jacobs (48). The 24-year-old Brooks continues to handle a small workload, but he is the preferred backup over Emanuel Wilson based on the fact that he continues to see more playing time than Wilson. With that said, the Packers have relied heavily on Jacobs as he continues to have success out of the backfield. Brooks should be considered a solid insurance policy going forward, but holds little standalone fantasy value. The Packers will host the Saints in Week 16.
Dec 6, 2024
Role remains consistent
Brooks had one carry for three yards in Thursday's 34-31 loss to the Lions.
ANALYSIS
The Packers leaned heavily on starting running back Josh Jacobs again, and both Brooks and fellow reserve Emanuel Wilson finished with only one carry apiece. Brooks and Wilson continue seeing a similar number of touches, but Brooks has been spending more time on the field, out-snapping Wilson in six straight contests -- and quite comfortably in each of the last four.
Dec 2, 2024
Stays involved Thursday
Brooks took three carries for 28 yards and caught both of his two targets for one yard during Thursday's 30-17 win versus the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
Brooks continued to be more involved in the offense than teammate Emanuel Wilson in Week 13, and he collected five touches for the second straight contest. Even still, Josh Jacobs continues to see the lion's share of the Packers' backfield work both on running and passing downs, so Brooks' path to fantasy relevance in 2024 probably requires Jacobs missing time.
Nov 26, 2024
Finishes with five touches
Brooks had four carries for 11 yards and one reception for 15 yards in Sunday's 38-10 victory over the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Brooks finished second among Packers running backs in snaps for the fourth time in as many chances, but he was the third Green Bay running back to get a touch in Week 12, and he finished with five touches compared to Emanuel Wilson's nine. Both running backs figure to continue working in behind starter Josh Jacobs, who is handling the lion's share of the work in Green Bay's backfield.
Nov 18, 2024
Snap counts stay favorable
Brooks was targeted twice and had two receptions for 13 yards in Sunday's 20-19 victory over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Brooks did not tally a carry Sunday and was the third Packers running back to enter the contest, but for the third time in as many he finished with more snaps than fellow reserve Emanuel Wilson, who was on the field for only three offensive plays in Week 11. One of the two remains the backup behind Josh Jacobs with the return of MarShawn Lloyd (ankle/appendix) again delayed, but it's tough to say to pinpoint exactly which is the No. 2 back.
Nov 4, 2024
Continues making impact
Brooks had two carries for 13 yards and three receptions for 28 yards in Sunday's 24-14 loss to the Lions.
ANALYSIS
Brooks made some noise for the third time in four games, and although he finished relatively even with fellow backup Emanuel Wilson in both the snaps and touches categories, he was the first running back to enter the game behind starter Josh Jacobs, and he could have matched Wilson in the touchdown column had he and quarterback Jordan Love connected on a short pass in the first quarter. Brooks is gaining momentum, but the Packers are on bye in Week 10 and could get back rookie MarShawn Lloyd (ankle) before they take the field again, so Brooks may not be a priority addition quite yet.
Oct 28, 2024
Gets involved in win
Brooks had four carries for 16 yards and one reception for one yard in Sunday's 30-27 victory over the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Brooks was the third Packers running back to get work Sunday, but he finished with just one fewer touch than fellow reserve Emanuel Wilson, and he also wound up playing 17 snaps to Wilson's 12. There has not been an official changing of the guard behind starter Josh Jacobs, and another ball carrier -- MarShawn Lloyd (ankle) -- could be back soon, but Brooks is more than an afterthought in the Green Bay backfield at this point.
Oct 14, 2024
Gets work in easy win
Brooks had four carries for 21 yards in Sunday's 34-13 victory over the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
The Packers gave Brooks some work while holding a comfortable lead in the fourth quarter of Sunday's contest, and he responded with a couple nice runs. His spot on the roster will be in jeopardy when fellow running back MarShawn Lloyd (ankle) returns, but he figures to remain Green Bay's third running back until then.
Sep 23, 2024
Makes Packers debut
Brooks had three carries for three yards in Sunday's 30-14 victory over the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Brooks saw his first work since joining the Packers in early September, but he did not take a carry until Green Bay's final drive when the outcome was all but decided. Brooks will operate as the third running back in Green Bay until MarShawn Lloyd (ankle) is ready to return, but he will presumably be a distant third option given the way fellow ball carriers Josh Jacobs and Emanuel Wilson have performed to date.
Sep 17, 2024
Inks to active roster
The Packers signed Brooks to the active roster from the practice squad Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Brooks bumps up to the 53-man roster following the placement of rookie MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) on injured reserve. He figures to work as Green Bay's third-string running back behind Josh Jacobs and Emanuel Wilson during Sunday's road matchup against the Colts.
Sep 3, 2024
Signs with Green Bay
The Packers signed Brooks to their practice squad Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Brooks has seemingly recovered from the concussion that landed him on Miami's injured reserve before his subsequent release Monday, and he will now head to Green Bay. With MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) and Emanuel Wilson (hip) both dealing with injuries, Brooks could end up being elevated to the active roster for the team's Week 1 game versus the Eagles on Friday.
Sep 2, 2024
Gets cut loose
Brooks (concussion) reached an injury settlement with the Dolphins on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
Brooks will now have the opportunity to sign with another team once he can clear the league's concussion protocols, instead of spending the 2024 campaign on injured reserve. The BYU product appeared in nine regular-season games for Miami last season, gaining 106 yards on 19 carries.
Aug 29, 2024
Reverts to IR
Brooks (concussion) reverted to injured reserve with the Dolphins on Wednesday, per the NFL's official transaction log.
ANALYSIS
Brooks was waived with an injury designation Tuesday after suffering a concussion at practice Aug. 19. The running back will now be forced to miss the entirety of the 2024 season unless he reaches an injury settlement with the Dolphins down the road.
Aug 27, 2024
Waived/injured by Miami
The Dolphins waived/injured Brooks (concussion) on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Brooks entered the concussion protocol eight days ago. If he clears waivers, he'll likely be cut with an injury settlement, allowing Brooks to find a new home once healthy. As a rookie last season, Brooks rushed 19 times for 106 yards but wasn't targeted in the passing game.
Aug 19, 2024
Dealing with concussion
Brooks entered concussion protocol after Monday's practice session, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The second-year running back out of BYU was likely on the outside looking in at Miami's 53-man roster, and this concussion further diminishes his chances. Once Brooks returns to the field, he's expected to compete for a depth role in the team's RB room, most likely on the Dolphins' practice squad.
Jan 11, 2024
Modest production in rookie season
Brooks played seven snaps on special teams during Sunday's 21-14 loss to Buffalo. Across nine appearances as a rookie this season, he rushed 19 times for 106 yards (5.6 YPC).
ANALYSIS
Brooks only handled offensive snaps in four of nine appearances as a rookie, but he looked competent in Miami's rushing scheme in limited action. A stint on IR due to an ankle injury suffered Week 6 briefly halted Brooks' progress, but he'll remain available as a depth option for Miami's hopeful playoff run. In deeper dynasty formats, the age of Raheem Mostert (knee) and Jeff Wilson ahead of Brooks on the depth chart makes him an interesting long-term stash.
Dec 19, 2023
Joins active roster
Brooks (ankle/knee) was activated from injured reserve Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Brooks hasn't played since Week 6 against the Panthers when he suffered an ankle sprain that led to his stint on IR. The return of the BYU product will bolster the depth of the Dolphins' backfield, where he'll slot in behind Raheem Mostert, De'Von Achane and likely, Jeff Wilson.
Dec 16, 2023
Won't return from IR in Week 15
Brooks (ankle/knee) is officially out for Sunday's game versus the Jets, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Brooks was designated to return from injured reserve Nov. 29, but he hasn't yet been activated. The rookie running back logged a trio of limited practices during Week 15 prep, though it's unclear how close he is to be able to return. Brooks' practice windows closes this coming Tuesday, and if Miami doesn't activate him by then, he'll be forced to sit out the remainder of the season.
Dec 11, 2023
Will remain on IR
Brooks (ankle) will not be activated off of injured reserve before Monday's game against the Titans, Alain Poupart of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Brooks was able to log full practices this week, but he'll remain sidelined for Week 14. The BYU product is still in the middle of his 21-day practice window with the team since being designated to return from IR on Nov. 29. His next opportunity to suit up will be Week 15 against the Jets.
Dec 9, 2023
Questionable against Tennessee
Brooks (ankle) is listed as questionable ahead of Monday's game against the Titans, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Brooks was designated to return from injured reserve Nov. 29 after he sprained his right ankle in Week 6 against the Chargers. He was limited in practice leading up to Week 13 but was able to fully participate in sessions this week and has a chance to return to action Monday. Brooks has 15 carries for 94 yards in six games this season.
Dec 2, 2023
Will not return Week 13
Brooks (ankle) will not return from IR against the Commanders, as the Dolphins have downgraded him to out, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Brooks was designated to return from IR earlier in the week, which opened a 21-day window for him to be activated. With the Dolphins opting to err on the side of caution, his next opportunity to be activated will come in Week 14's tilt against the Titans. The 23-year-old has been sidelined since Week 6 due to an ankle injury.
Dec 1, 2023
Could play Week 13
Brooks (ankle) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Commanders, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
The rookie running back out of BYU was able to log a week of limited practice sessions, and he's got a chance to appear in his first game since Week 6 this Sunday. The Dolphins have yet to activate Brooks to their active roster though, which must be done in order for the 23-year-old to play in Week 13.
Nov 29, 2023
Set to return to practice
The Dolphins designated Brooks (ankle) for return from their injured reserve list Wednesday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
The move starts the clock on a 21-day period during which Miami can officially activate Brooks from its injured reserve list before it would be forced to shut him down for the rest of the season. The Dolphins' injury reports this week will provide insight into whether he'll be able to play in Week 13 at Washington.
Oct 20, 2023
Moved to IR on Friday
Brooks (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Friday.
ANALYSIS
Brooks sprained his ankle in Week 6 against Carolina, and he will be sidelined until at least Week 12 against the Jets as a result of the injury (four games plus Miami's Week 10 bye). Miami didn't announce a corresponding roster move, but it's possible that the roster spot opened up by Brooks' placement on IR will go to fellow running back Jeff Wilson (ribs/finger), who is in the second week of his 21-day window to be activated from IR.
Oct 18, 2023
Misses practice Wednesday
Brooks (ankle) did not participate at practice Wednesday, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Brooks sustained a sprained ankle during Sunday's win versus Carolina, so it's no big surprise that he was unable to practice Wednesday. He'd likely have to practice in some capacity Thursday or Friday to have a chance at suiting up in Week 7.
Oct 16, 2023
Week-to-week with ankle sprain
Coach Mike McDaniel said Monday that Brooks is week-to-week with an ankle injury he sustained in the Week 6 win over the Panthers, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Active as the Dolphins' RB3 against Carolina with De'Von Achane (knee) and Jeff Wilson (abdomen, IR) out, Brooks played 11 snaps and rushed six times for 28 yards behind Raheem Mostert and Salvon Ahmed. With Brooks likely to be sidelined, it's possible Wilson is cleared to make his season debut next Sunday night against the Eagles.
Oct 15, 2023
Leaves Sunday with ankle injury
Brooks was ruled out in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the Panthers due to an ankle injury, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Wolfe notes that Brooks was avoiding putting pressure on his right leg and that his teammates came over to console him while on the cart. The Dolphins haven't provided an update on the extent of Brooks' injury, but he looks like he could be at risk of missing time. With De'Von Achane (knee) moving to injured reserve earlier this week, Brooks and Salvon Ahmed stepped into larger backup roles behind lead back Raheem Mostert. Brooks had a 28-yard run before leaving the game, but he combined for zero yards on his other five carries.
Sep 25, 2023
Efficient in reserve role
Brooks carried six nine times for 66 yards during Sunday's 70-20 blowout win over the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
Brooks got a chance to operate as the No. 3 back behind Raheem Mostert (142 scrimmage yards, four total TDs) and De'Von Achane (233 scrimmage yards, four total TDs) with Salvon Ahmed (groin) sidelined. Though he couldn't match the otherworldly production of Achane and Mostert, Brooks recorded an efficient 7.3 YPC against an outmatched and gassed Broncos defense, an impressive showing in his debut handling offensive work at the NFL level. Even if Ahmed misses more time, though, Brooks will likely revert back to a true reserve role Week 4 versus the Bills.
Aug 31, 2023
One of two
Brooks and Raheem Mostert are currently the only healthy running backs on the Dolphins' roster, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
ANALYSIS
Brooks was able to make the team as an undrafted free agent out of BYU, possibly due to injuries, but he was still able to beat out Myles Gaskin for a spot on the 53-man roster. Although it is likely that De'Von Achane (shoulder) and Salvon Ahmed (neck) will both be healthy by the time the season opener against the Chargers rolls around, Jeff Wilson (abdomen), who will miss at least the first four games of the season after being placed on injured reserve Thursday, will not be. Brooks ran for 817 yards on 130 carries and six touchdowns in his final season of college and depending on how the injuries in the Miami backfield shake out, could end up working a third-down role when Week 1 comes around.
