Making progress
Reed (collarbone, foot) remains on IR and has not yet had his 21-day practice window opened, but he spent time on the rehab field Wednesday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed was spotted running on a side field Wednesday as well as working with a trainer and getting in some catching reps with a JUGs machine, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports. The third-year wideout is recovering from a pair of surgeries, one to address a broken collarbone sustained Week 2 against the Commanders and the other to repair a Jones fracture in his foot he had been playing through. Reed is eligible to have his 21-day practice window opened at any time and is already within the early stages of his 6-to-8 week recovery timetable, but Packers coach Matt LaFleur hasn't yet offered a tangible update on the wideout's expected return date.

Move to IR official
The Packers placed Reed (collarbone/foot) on injured reserve Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Reed was already playing through a Jones fracture in his foot when he sustained a broken collarbone early during a Week 2 win against the Commanders. He's since undergone surgeries for both health concerns and is facing a 6-to-8 week recovery timetable, meaning a move to IR was inevitable for Reed. For at least the next two games, the Packers' receiving corps will be composed of Matthew Golden, Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, Savion Williams and Malik Heath, while Christian Watson (knee) will be eligible for activation from the reserve/PUP list as soon as Week 6 following a Week 5 bye.

Gets foot, clavicle surgeries
Reed announced Tuesday via social media that he underwent successful surgeries to repair a fractured collarbone and a Jones fracture in his left foot.
ANALYSIS
Multiple reports had previously suggested that Reed would undergo surgery after fracturing the collarbone in last Thursday's win over the Commanders, but it wasn't known that he would get another procedure to address the foot fracture, which popped up during training camp. The multiple surgeries aren't expected to alter Reed's timeline for a return, which is estimated at 6-to-8 weeks. With Reed out of the picture for the next several games, the Packers will have more snaps at receiver available for the likes of Matthew Golden, Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, Savion Williams and Malik Heath.

Facing 6-to-8-week absence
Reed is expected to miss 6-to-8 weeks after fracturing his collarbone in Thursday's 27-18 win over the Commanders, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network previously reported Friday that Reed will undergo surgery next week to address the injury, and the estimated 6-to-8-week recovery timeline will keep him out through early-to-mid-November. The Packers will likely place Reed on injured reserve in the coming days to open up a spot on the 53-man roster. While Reed is sidelined, the Packers should have extra snaps available for all of the remaining members of their deep rotation of receivers (Matthew Golden, Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, Savion Williams and Malik Heath). Through Green Bay's first two games, Doubs is the only Packers receiver to play more than 70 percent of snaps (71 percent Week 1, 74 percent Week 2).
Sep 12, 2025
Hoping for November return
Reed (collarbone) will have surgery next week and hopes to return in November, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
The Packers diagnosed Reed with a broken collarbone not long after his exit from Thursday's win over Washington. He'll presumably be placed on injured reserve soon, which could open up more playing time for fellow Green Bay wideouts Matthew Golden, Dontayvion Wicks, Savion Williams and Malik Heath. The team may also get Christian Watson (knee) back before Reed, who was playing through a Jones fracture in his foot prior to the collarbone fracture.
Sep 12, 2025
Diagnosed with broken collarbone
Reed suffered a broken collarbone in the first quarter of Thursday's game against the Commanders, Zach Jacobson of 247Sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed fell hard on his shoulder in the end zone in the first quarter of Thursday's game and was quickly ruled out. Coach Matt LaFleur said that Reed will miss "a lot" of time, and that he will land on injured reserve. Reed is expected to return at some point during the regular season, but he'll be sidelined until at least late October and almost certainly longer.
Sep 11, 2025
Ruled out against Commanders
Reed (shoulder) has been ruled out for the rest of Thursday's game against the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
Reed exited the contest early in the first quarter after landing hard on his shoulder on a touchdown catch that was nullified by a penalty. There's no additional word on the severity of his injury, but he will presumably undergo imaging with updates to come either later Thursday or Friday.
Sep 11, 2025
Suffers shoulder injury
Reed is questionable to return to Thursday's game against the Commanders after suffering a shoulder injury in the first quarter, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official sitereports.
ANALYSIS
Reed made a catch in the corner of the end zone on Green Bay's first possession, but the score was nullified by a penalty. To make matters worse, he immediately grabbed his shoulder and was slow to get up. Reed was spotted walking into the locker room with trainers, clearly favoring his shoulder area.
Sep 10, 2025
Clear for TNF
Reed (foot) doesn't have a designation for Thursday's game against the Commanders, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Despite Reed and fellow WRs Matthew Golden (ankle) and Dontayvion Wicks (calf) being listed as limited at least once during Week 2 prep, all three will be available to Green Bay's offense Thursday. Reed himself is attempting to play through a Jones fracture in his left foot, but he was able to log a 38 percent snap share and run 12 routes on his way to a 3-45-1 line on five targets during Sunday's 27-13 win versus the Lions.
Sep 9, 2025
Reps capped in walk-through
Reed (foot) was a limited participant in Tuesday's walk-through practice.
ANALYSIS
After being gauged as a non-participant on Monday's practice estimate, Reed was determined to have increased his activity enough during the walk-through workout to garner a limited listing. Reed's practice reps will likely be restricted over the next few weeks while he works his way back from a Jones fracture sustained early in training camp, but barring any setbacks, he should continue to suit up on game days. Green Bay is facing a quick turnaround for Week 2 with a Thursday night matchup against the Commanders, so the team could look to manage Reed's snap count after he took the field for just 18 plays on offense in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Lions. The third-year wideout made an impact during his time on the field, producing a 3-45-1 receiving line on five targets while also gaining 21 yards on two punt returns.
Sep 8, 2025
Listed as DNP on Monday
Reed (foot) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's estimated injury report, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed likely will be operating under a maintenance program for as long as the Jones fracture in his left foot is bothering him, but he was able to suit up for Sunday's win against the Lions, logging 18 of 48 offensive snaps (38 percent) in the process. He was effective with his limited workload, hauling in three of five targets for 45 yards and one touchdown and taking two punt returns for 21 yards. Reed will have two more chances to practice this week ahead of Thursday's matchup with the Commanders.
Sep 7, 2025
Catches TD in Week 1 win
Reed (foot) caught three of five targets for 45 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Lions.
ANALYSIS
Reed was effective despite playing through a Jones fracture in his foot, finishing second on the team behind Romeo Doubs in receiving yards and scoring a 17-yard touchdown in the second quarter. The injury could impact Reed's practice participation levels throughout the season, but the speedy wide receiver proved Sunday that he's still capable of coming though on game day. He'll look to build on this strong start Thursday against the Commanders.
Sep 7, 2025
Suiting up Week 1
Reed (foot) is listed as active Sunday versus the Lions, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed is attempting to play through a Jones fracture in his left foot that capped him to just two limited practices during Week 1 prep and left him questionable for this contest. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported earlier Sunday that Reed was expected to play in the Packers' season opener, which has come to pass. With Reed available to Green Bay's offense, he'll join rookie first-round pick Matthew Golden, Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks (calf), Savion Williams (hamstring) and Malik Heath as the options at wide receiver for QB Jordan Love.
Sep 7, 2025
Slated to play Week 1
Reed (foot) remains listed as questionable but is in line to suit up Sunday against the Lions, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Among Packers skill-position players, Reed's status for Week 1 was the biggest lingering concern for the team, but the wide receiver will play through the Jones fracture in his left foot that has bothered him for roughly one month. Confirmation of his availability for Sunday's game will come in about 90 minutes before the contest's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff, when Green Bay will release its inactive list.
Sep 5, 2025
Listed as questionable
Reed (foot) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Lions.
ANALYSIS
Fellow Packers wideouts Dontayvion Wicks (calf) and Savion Williams (hamstring) also are listed as questionable, with the latter uncertain to have a role even if he's healthy enough to play. Reed, meanwhile, is hoping to fill his usual role as Green Bay's slot receiver, playing through a Jones fracture that may require surgery at some point. He was a limited practice participant Thursday and Friday, after opening the week listed as a non-participant. It's unclear if Reed will get the go-ahead from Green Bay's medical staff, potentially setting up a game-time decision in advance of the 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff this Sunday.
Sep 4, 2025
Limited in return to practice
Reed (foot)) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed got back on the practice field after sitting out Wednesday's session, which may be his maintenance plan for the foreseeable future due to the Jones fracture in his left foot that he's been dealing with for roughly a month. Coach Matt LaFleur told Zach Jacobson of 247Sports.com that the Packers "absolutely" will give Reed a chance to make himself available Sunday against the Lions, but at this point he seems destined to head into the weekend with a questionable designation for that contest.
Sep 4, 2025
Back at practice
Reed (foot) is taking part in Thursday's practice, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After sitting out the first practice of Week 1 prep Wednesday, Reed was back on the field as he continues his management of what has been reported to be a Jones fracture in his left foot, which he intends to play through this season. He was working in individual drills Thursday, per Bill Huber of SI.com, so he appears as if he'll go down as a limited participant, at the very least.
Sep 3, 2025
DNP on Wednesday
Reed (foot) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed got back on the practice field last Wednesday and then took part in a competitive team scrimmage in pads Thursday, after which it was revealed that his absence for the preceding three weeks was due to a Jones fracture in his left foot, per Jason Wilde of CBS Madison. After last Wednesday's session, he acknowledged to Wood that he isn't able to run routes without discomfort, so his DNP this Wednesday may be just maintenance to ensure he's as healthy as possible for Sunday's matchup with the Lions. Reed's activity level, or lack thereof, Thursday and/or Friday may provide insight into his odds to suit up Week 1.
Aug 28, 2025
Fighting through Jones fracture
Reed (foot) has a Jones fracture in his left foot but plans to play through the injury this season, Jason Wilde of CBS Madison reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed returned to practice Wednesday after resting for three weeks, acknowledging afterward that he wasn't 100 percent and was still "working through" the injury. It's an issue that often requires surgery and a multi-month timeline for rehab/recovery in such a scenario. He'll thus try to avoid surgery, or at least delay it until the offseason, but his fantasy value plunges with the added injury risk (and possibility of reduced performance or limited workloads). Reed intends to play Week 1, although Green Bay's medical staff has a reputation for being cautious with injured players. He's participating in Thursday's padded practice scrimmage, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com.
Aug 27, 2025
Still dealing with some pain
Reed, who returned to practice Wednesday, said he can't run routes without discomfort after dealing with a foot injury for a good portion of training camp, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed had been sidelined since at least Aug. 7 due to a health concern that caused him to wear a walking boot for close to a week earlier this month. He relayed that he recently started running routes again and primarily feels some pain when he attempts to plant and cut, leaving his status for Week 1 unknown. Having said that, Reed's return to the field Wednesday is a step in the right direction as the Packers turn their focus to a season-opening matchup with the Lions on Sunday, Sept. 7.
Aug 27, 2025
Returns to practice
Reed (foot) practiced Wednesday, Bill Huber of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
This marks Reed's first visible on-field work since the first week of August after dealing with a foot injury in the meantime. Earlier Wednesday, GM Brian Gutekunst said the Packers were "hopeful" that Reed would be able to suit up Week 1 against the Lions, according to Zach Jacobson of 247Sports.com. Considering Reed looked crisp while running routes and catching passes from QB Jordan Love (thumb), there's a decent chance he goes down as a full participant when Green Bay is required to post its first practice report of the season next Wednesday.
Aug 27, 2025
Team 'hopeful" for Week 1 appearance
GM Brian Gutekunst said Wednesday that the Packers are "hopeful" that Reed (foot) will be available for a Week 1 matchup with the Lions on Sunday, Sept. 7, Zach Jacobson of 247Sports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed wore a walking boot to protect a foot injury for less than a week in mid-August, but even after shedding it, he hasn't returned to practice. He thus sat out the Packers' entire preseason slate and now is exactly a week away from the team beginning on-field prep for the season opener. Next Wednesday's practice report may provide the first indication that Reed is on course to suit up against Detroit.
Aug 14, 2025
Sheds walking boot, not practicing
Reed (foot) is not wearing a walking boot at Thursday's practice, though he is not participating in on-field activities, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed appears to be making incremental progress in his recovery from a lingering foot injury, though he still appears on track to sit out Saturday's preseason game against the Colts as the Packers continue to prioritize his availability for Week 1. Green Bay's passing offense is heavily depleted at Thursday's practice, with Jordan Love (thumb) sidelined, along with wideouts Reed, Romeo Doubs (back), Dontayvion Wicks (calf) and Christian Watson (ACL), the latter of whom remains on the active/PUP list.
Aug 9, 2025
Not certain to be ready for Week 1
Reed is wearing a walking boot, and his foot injury is not the same as the toe issue he dealt with entering training camp, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It had been presumed that Reed was dealing with a minor issue and was being held out of Saturday's preseason opener simply as a precaution, but there is more concern about his status now that he's wearing a walking boot. When head coach Mat LaFleur was asked about the talented wideout's potential availability for Week 1 after Saturday's loss to the Jets, he conveyed hope that Reed would be available but added "anytime you see a guy in a boot that's a concern." If Reed's injury carries into the regular season, Dontayvion Wicks (calf) could be asked to take on a bigger role early, and Matthew Golden could function as Green Bay's top wideout.
Aug 9, 2025
Not playing in first preseason game
Reed (foot) is not suiting up for Saturday's preseason contest against the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Reed's absence isn't a surprise since he's been dealing with a toe injury and a separate foot issue during training camp. There isn't reason to believe at this point that Reed will have any trouble being ready for Week 1 of the regular season, and he could suit up before the preseason comes to an end. Fellow wideout Dontayvion Wicks (calf) also isn't playing Saturday, leaving rookie Matthew Golden and veteran Romeo Doubs as the top pass-catching options for Jordan Love, who is slated to see some action.
Aug 9, 2025
Likely sitting out vs. Jets
Reed (foot) is not expected to suit up for Saturday's preseason opener against the Jets, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed has been on and off the practice field throughout the early stages of training camp, first with a toe injury and now due to a foot issue. Green Bay is expected to rest the third-year starter, meaning Reed's next opportunity to suit up for preseason action will come Aug. 16 on the road at Indianapolis. Dontayvion Wicks (calf) is also expected to sit out versus New York.
Aug 7, 2025
Sits out practice Thursday
Reed (foot) is not participating in Thursday's practice, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed logged brief stints away from the practice field due to a toe issue earlier in training camp, so it remains to be seen whether the foot injury he's dealing with Thursday is a related matter. By all appearances, though, the third-year wideout hasn't been dealing with any serious injuries. It remains to be seen whether Reed will be cleared to participate in Saturday's preseason opener against the Jets.
Aug 1, 2025
Practicing after all
Reed (toe) is doing full-team drills Friday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
It sounds like there was a miscommunication, as Reed made a spectacular catch in 11-on-11s just minutes after he was announced as a non-participant. In any case, this confirms that the toe injury he suffered Thursday is nothing serious.
Aug 1, 2025
Not practicing due to toe injury
Reed will miss Friday's practice with a toe injury, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed left Thursday's practice early, with Packers coach Matt LaFleur explaining Friday morning that the wideout had an issue with his cleats. The problem apparently led to some discomfort or pain that can't be immediately solved by new cleats, but this doesn't sound like anything that will keep Reed out for long.
May 28, 2025
Taking part in OTAs
Reed (shoulder) is participating in on-field positional drills at OTAs on Wednesday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed appears back to full health after having suffered a dislocated shoulder during Green Bay's 22-10 wild-card loss to the Eagles in January, an injury for which he didn't require surgery. The third-year pro has prioritized bulking up early in the offseason, with passing game coordinator Jason Vrable saying mid-May that Reed is currently 199 pounds after playing at 187 pounds in 2024. The Packers' selection of Matthew Golden in the first round of April's draft, plus Savion Williams in the third round, provides Jordan Love and the passing game the requisite tools to grow more dynamic in 2025, a development that could prove positive for Reed in Year 3 even if he faces increased target competition. Romeo Doubs (concussion) and newcomer Mecole Hardman (knee) are also practicing Wednesday.
May 14, 2025
Bulks up in offseason
Packers passing game coordinator Jason Vrable said Wednesday that Reed (shoulder) has bulked up to 199 pounds this offseason and is acting as a leader in the wide receiver room, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed's playing weight was listed at 187 pounds last season, so if he's able to retain his quickness despite adding bulk, additional muscle will boost his odds of managing a Year 3 breakout. General manager Brian Gutekunst said that the team still views Reed as its "top receiver" despite drafting Matthew Golden (23rd overall) and Savion Williams (87th overall) in the first three rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft, but it's nonetheless difficult to project exactly how much target volume the slot specialist will be able to demand in what now looks like one of the league's more crowded WR rooms. Reed has managed to lead Green Bay in both receptions and receiving yards in his first two seasons in the league, but he's not yet strung together a 1,000-yard season. He was forced out of the team's playoff loss to Philadelphia early due to a dislocated shoulder, but Reed was able to avoid surgery and offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich said he "looks great" at voluntary practices.
Jan 13, 2025
Says he won't need surgery
Reed said Monday that he won't need surgery on his dislocated shoulder, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
He missed the end of Sunday's playoff loss to the Eagles but should be ready for OTAs in the spring. It was a disappointing end to a disappointing season in which 72.3 percent of Reed's receiving yards came in the first nine games. He appeared well on his way to a 1,000-yard campaign for much of the season, before averaging 29.6 receiving yards and 3.6 targets after a Week 10 bye, ultimately finishing with a 55-857-6 receiving line and 20-163-1 on the ground. Reed offers an unusual combination of rushing contributions and big receiving plays from the slot, but it's hard to say if/when he'll progress beyond boom/bust-WR3 status for fantasy.
Jan 13, 2025
Suffers dislocated shoulder Sunday
Reed said after Sunday's 22-10 wild-card loss to the Eagles that he sustained a dislocated shoulder in the third quarter of the contest, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Already down Christian Watson (knee) due to a torn ACL heading into the postseason, the Packers then lost Reed and Romeo Doubs (concussion) to injuries Sunday to further thin the receiver ranks. Before checking out the contest in the third quarter, Reed recorded four catches for 46 yards on four targets and brought back two punts for 26 yards. Reed could need surgery to address the dislocated shoulder, but he should be back to full health in advance of training camp in late July.
Jan 12, 2025
Hurts shoulder in wild-card game
Reed is questionable to return to Sunday's wild-card matchup against Philadelphia due to a shoulder injury, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed took a hard hit to his shoulder after making a catch in the third quarter. Fellow wideout Romeo Doubs has also exited to be evaluated for a concussion, leaving Dontayvion Wicks as the Packers' presumptive top wideout for the time being. Bo Melton and Malik Heath are also wide-receiver options for Jordan Love, and tight end Tucker Kraft could be an even more important part of the team's passing game.
Jan 5, 2025
Two catches in Week 18 loss
Reed caught both of his targets for 48 yards in Sunday's 24-22 loss to the Bears. He also rushed three times for three yards and lost a fumble.
ANALYSIS
The Packers like to get the speedy Reed involved in the run game, but he had a pair of lowlights on the ground in this one, as he fumbled at the end of a four-yard run in the second quarter and was stuffed for minus-2 yards on a fourth-down carry to start the fourth quarter. Reed slumped down the stretch, as this was only the second time he exceeded 35 receiving yards in the last eight games. He finishes the regular season with 55 catches for 857 yards and six touchdowns on 75 targets, as well as 163 yards and a touchdown rushing. Reed will try to get back on track when the Packers travel to Philadelphia in the wild-card round, likely without fellow wide receiver Christian Watson (knee).
Dec 29, 2024
Shut down by Minnesota
Reed recorded one reception on four targets for six yards in Sunday's 27-25 loss to the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Targets were projected to condense in the Green Bay offense with Christian Watson (knee) sidelined, making Reed's stat line even more disappointing. His biggest impact on the game came midway through the second quarter when he dropped a pass that would have been a conversion on fourth down. Since Green Bay's Week 10 bye, Reed has failed to reach 35 receiving yards in six of seven games.
Dec 23, 2024
Leading receivier on MNF
Reed had three receptions on four targets for 76 yards while taking his lone carry for five yards in Monday's 34-0 rout of the Saints.
ANALYSIS
Reed wound up finishing as the game leader in yards from scrimmage for either side in what turned out to be a one-sided matchup. Dontayvion Wicks hauled in the only passing touchdown of the night, but it was an otherwise strong showing from Reed. It was the 24-year-old's highest yardage total since recording 113 receiving yards against the Lions in Week 9. Reed remains a hit or miss asset in fantasy ahead of Sunday's tilt against Minnesota.
Dec 15, 2024
Five catches, three carries in win
Reed caught five of six targets for 34 yards and rushed three times for 27 yards in Sunday's 30-13 win over the Seahawks.
ANALYSIS
Reed was more involved after seeing just one target in Week 14 against the Lions, as he tied Christian Watson for the team lead in targets and led the Packers in catches, though four teammates had at least 34 receiving yards as well. Reed also produced 10 yards on two punt returns, one of which he muffed for a fumble but managed to get back on top of the ball. The slumping wide receiver will be a touchdown-dependent fantasy option in Week 16 against the Saints given his sporadic recent usage, but Reed's a perennial threat to score considering he has 17 total touchdowns through 30 career regular-season games.
Dec 6, 2024
Gets just one target
Reed got one target and finished without a catch in Sunday's 34-31 loss to the Lions.
ANALYSIS
Reed played 50 percent of snaps, which ties for his lowest share this season but doesn't fall outside the normal range. It's the seventh time he's logged 50-59 percent of snaps, as he still doesn't get much playing time in formations with fewer than three wide receivers. Reed has just one game all year with more than six targets, making him highly dependent on touchdowns and big plays, especially relative to other WRs that primarily man the slot. He has 12 targets and 73 receiving yards over the past four games, but with three of his eight catches in that span going for touchdowns. Reed will be a high-risk, high-reward lineup option once again Week 15 at Seattle, facing a defense that often uses top cornerback Devon Witherspoon in the slot.
Nov 29, 2024
Makes most of three catches
Reed recorded three receptions on six targets for 24 yards and two touchdowns in Thursday's 30-17 win over the Dolphins. He added one rush for 23 yards.
ANALYSIS
Reed got the job done early in the game, recording receiving scores of three and 12 yards by halftime. The Packers played from ahead by multiple scores for most of the contest, which limited Reed to only two targets in the second half. His lack of volume isn't unusual, and he now has under 30 receiving yards in three straight games. Reed is capable of big performances, but he's reliant on either big plays or reaching the end zone, leaving him as a boom or bust fantasy option.
Nov 24, 2024
Takes three receptions for 26 yards
Reed corralled all three of his targets for 26 yards in Sunday's 38-10 win over the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Unlike last week's two-catch effort, Reed was unable to hit pay dirt against the 49ers and left fantasy managers with paltry production. The speedy sophomore did not record a rushing attempt, and hasn't had a positive gain as a runner since back in Week 5. Reed still has enough upside on any given week to be worth considering, but he is likely more of a deep-league asset due to his propensity for posting duds heading into Thursday's matchup against the Dolphins.
Nov 17, 2024
Scores TD on two catches
Reed secured both targets for 23 yards and a touchdown and rushed once for minus-5 yards in the Packers' 20-19 win over the Bears on Sunday. He also returned one punt for 16 yards.
ANALYSIS
Reed seemed to be on his way to a big day when he capped off the opening drive of the contest with a 15-yard touchdown grab, but he drew only one additional target on the afternoon. Reed's two-catch tally was his third in the last four games, but the TD catch snapped a three-game scoreless drought for the second-year wideout. Reed's volume is difficult to trust in a Packers offense that typically feeds a significant number of targets, making him a risky fantasy option heading into a tough Week 12 home matchup against the 49ers.
Nov 3, 2024
Tops 100 yards
Reed recorded five receptions on six targets for 113 yards in Sunday's 24-14 loss to the Lions.
ANALYSIS
The entire Green Bay offense was bogged down by rainy conditions and otherwise sloppy play in the loss, though Reed was a bright spot. He accounted for three of the team's four longest plays from scrimmage with receptions that went for 41, 32 and 28 yards. The end result was his third game this season in which he topped 100 receiving yards, and he continues to perform very efficiently on relatively limited targets.
Oct 27, 2024
Gains 55 yards on three touches
Reed had two receptions (three targets) for 55 yards and did not gain any yards on his lone carry in Sunday's 30-27 win over the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Reed did most of his damage on a 51-yard reception Sunday, but he finished with just three touches in the win. The dynamic wideout saw his stats tail off after quarterback Jordan Love (groin) exited the game in the third quarter. Reed's big-play ability should keep him a viable fantasy option heading into next Sunday's tilt against the Lions, but Love's presence would certainly be a boost to the receiver's projections.
Oct 25, 2024
Good to go for Sunday
Reed (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed cleared up any concern about his health heading into Sunday's contest after he logged a full practice Friday following limited sessions Wednesday and Thursday. Though he's been held under 30 total yards in both of the Packers' last two contests, Reed still paces all Green Bay position players with 562 yards from scrimmage through seven games.
Oct 24, 2024
Remains limited in practice
Reed (ankle) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Reed continues to deal with the ankle injury that forced a brief exit during a Week 6 win against the Cardinals. He hasn't been too productive the last two games, turning 10 touches into 38 yards from scrimmage and one receiving TD, but he has a nice on-paper matchup Sunday against a Jaguars defense that has yielded the second-most YPT (8.7) to opposing wide receivers this season. Friday's practice report will reveal whether or not he carries a designation into the weekend.
Oct 23, 2024
Limited Wednesday
Reed (ankle) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Both Reed and fellow WR Christian Watson continue to be impacted by their respective ankle issues, but the former hasn't experienced much of a downturn in his workload on game days. Reed is coming off a season-low three touches for just 10 yards from scrimmage (all through the air) this past Sunday against the Texans, so he'll be looking to bounce back Sunday at Jacksonville, assuming he's able to suit up.

Quiet in Week 7 win
Reed caught two of four targets for 10 yards and rushed once for no gain in Sunday's 24-22 win over the Texans. He added one punt return for five yards.
ANALYSIS
Reed played through the ankle injury he sustained in the Week 6 win over the Cardinals and didn't have an injury designation for the game but lacked his usual explosiveness. After posting at least 97 yards of offense in each of his first three games with Jordan Love under center this season, Reed has only 38 yards over the last two such games combined. A Week 8 home game against the Jaguars presents a nice opportunity for Reed to get back on track, but it will be worth monitoring whether his name continues to pop up on the Packers' injury report in practice.
Oct 18, 2024
Avoids injury designation
Reed (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's matchup with the Texans.
ANALYSIS
A limited practice participant all week, Reed never seemed in danger of missing the game. He hurt his ankle on a punt return in a 34-13 win over the Cardinals this past Sunday, but he returned to the game in short order and ended up coming pretty close to his normal workload shares, finishing with 53 percent snap share and 66 percent route share (compared to season-long marks of 65 percent and 76 percent, respectively).
Oct 17, 2024
Stays limited at practice
Reed (ankle) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, Bill Huber of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed has opened Week 7 prep with back-to-back capped sessions, the result of injuring his ankle during this past Sunday's win against the Cardinals. He was able to finish out the contest on his way to six catches (on six targets) for 28 yards and one touchdown on a 53 percent snap share. Reed has one more practice this week to get back to full participation or potentially risk heading into the weekend with a designation for Sunday's game versus the Texans.
Oct 16, 2024
Limited Wednesday
Reed (ankle) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed injured his ankle this past Sunday against the Cardinals on a punt return that ultimately was negated by offsetting penalties. Overall, he managed a season-low 53 percent snap share, but he still hauled in all six of his targets for 28 yards and one touchdown. All of Reed, Christian Watson (ankle) and Dontayvion Wicks (shoulder) were limited to kick off Week 7 prep, so the situation bears watching to see if any of the trio are in danger of being inhibited or sidelined Sunday versus the Texans.
Oct 13, 2024
Quiet after early TD
Reed caught all six of his targets for 28 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-13 win over the Cardinals. He added one rush for no gain and an eight-yard punt return.
ANALYSIS
Reed's five-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter was his fourth total touchdown in four games with Jordan Love under center. The versatile wideout caught a lucky break on a second-quarter punt return, as he lost a fumble but the play was erased by offsetting penalties. Reed hurt his ankle on that play and was deemed questionable to return but managed to play through the injury. This was the first of Love's four starts this season in which Reed failed to record at least 97 scrimmage yards, and when you factor in the possible lingering impacts of Sunday's ankle injury, Reed's fantasy value is trending down in the short term heading into a Week 7 home game against the Texans.
Oct 13, 2024
Back in Sunday's game
Reed (ankle) returned to Sunday's contest versus the Cardinals, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The Packers deemed Reed questionable to return after he seemed to get banged-up on a punt return that eventually was negated by offsetting penalties. Green Bay had a quick strike TD to fellow WR Christian Watson on the ensuing possession, so Reed had a bit of time to test out his ankle and receive clearance to get back on the field.
Oct 13, 2024
Hurts ankle Sunday
Reed suffered an ankle injury during Sunday's contest against the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
Reed appeared to get injured on a punt return in which he lost a fumble that ultimately was negated by offsetting penalties. Prior to his exit in the second quarter, he recorded five catches (on five targets) for one touchdown and one carry for no yards.
Oct 6, 2024
Big play against Rams
Reed recorded four catches on six targets for 78 yards in Sunday's 24-19 win over the Rams. He added two rushes for 19 yards.
ANALYSIS
Reed had a relatively quiet game as a pass catcher, particularly because he hauled in a 53-yard catch on Green Bay's second offensive possession. However, he still led the team in yards from scrimmage as the team got the ball in his hands twice as a rusher. Though Reed won't ever command traditional targets of a top wide receiver, he has exceptional big-play ability and is an integral part of the Packers' offense heading into a Week 6 matchup against the Cardinals.
Sep 29, 2024
Leads air attack in close loss
Reed secured seven of eight targets for 139 yards and a touchdown and rushed once for two yards in the Packers' 31-29 loss to the Vikings on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Reed led the Packers in receptions and receiving yards on the afternoon while checking in third in targets. Reed's versatile skill set was on display as usual even though he only logged one rush attempt, as his catch, yardage tallies and targets were all season highs. Reed also got into the end zone for the first time since his other 100-yard performance back in Week 1, as he found the end zone from 15 yards out just before halftime Green Bay's first points. Reed also contributed grabs of 21 and 42 yards on back-to-back plays in the Packers' final drive, making it a stellar all-around effort. The second-year wideout next takes aim at the vulnerable Rams secondary on the road in a Week 5 matchup.
Sep 27, 2024
Cleared to face Minnesota
Reed (calf/quad) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Reed was a full practice participant Friday after limited sessions the previous two days. The big question is whether QB Jordan Love (questionable - MCL) will be active ahead of the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff -- a particularly crucial point for Reed's fantasy value because the Green Bay offense has been extremely run-heavy with Malik Wills under center.
Sep 26, 2024
Remains limited Thursday
Reed (calf/quad) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Bill Huber of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
For the second day in a row, Reed had his reps capped while he contends with a pair of injuries. The wideout will likely need to upgrade to full participation in the Packers' final practice of the week Friday to avoid taking a designation into Sunday's game versus the Vikings.
Sep 25, 2024
Limited with pair of injuries
Reed (calf/quadriceps) was limited at Wednesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Reed first showed up on a Packers practice report on the final version ahead of Week 2 action, and a calf injury has been listed on every report in the meantime. A quad issue also made an appearance this Wednesday, but there hasn't been any worry that his availability is in question for Sunday's NFC North showdown with the Vikings. In the last two games with Malik Willis at quarterback in place of Jordan Love (knee), Reed has gathered in six of eight targets for 59 yards and turned four carries into 56 yards. Reed, if active this weekend, would experience a notable boost in fantasy appeal if Love is able to reclaim the starting role, but the QB again was limited to begin Week 4 prep.
Sep 22, 2024
Four catches against Titans
Reed recorded four catches on six targets for 50 yards in Sunday's 30-14 win over the Titans. He added two rushes for 19 yards.
ANALYSIS
Given the context of both having Malik Willis under center and the Packers having a comfortable lead for the majority of the game, this was a decent performance for Reed. He operated clearly as Green Bay's top wide receiver, as he was schemed a target on the first offensive play of the game -- which he converted for a 30-yard catch -- and was the only player in the position group to command more than two targets. That bodes well for his production once Jordan Love (knee) can return, which could come as early as a Week 4 matchup against Minnesota.
Sep 20, 2024
Good to go for Week 3
Reed (calf) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game in Tennessee, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed was held out of drills Wednesday due to the calf injury that showed up on last Friday's practice report, but after capping this week with back-to-back limited sessions, he's good to go for Week 3. The Packers may have Jordan Love (knee) back under center Sunday, which would be a boon to Reed and the rest of the receiving corps. But even with Malik Willis manning quarterback this past Sunday against the Colts, Reed notched two catches (on two targets) for nine yards and two carries for 37 yards, displaying his versatility.
Sep 19, 2024
Limited in return to practice
Reed (calf) was a limited practice participant Thursday.
ANALYSIS
After sitting out Wednesday's session due to a calf injury, Reed took a step forward with some on-field reps one day later. He'll have one more chance to return to all activity Friday before the Packers potentially give him a designation ahead of Sunday's game in Tennessee. Elsewhere in the offense, Jordan Love (knee) has cobbled together back-to-back limited practices, and coach Matt LaFleur noted Thursday that the quarterback may be a game-time decision this weekend, per Ryan Wood of USA Today. If Love is able to complete his recovery from a sprained MCL early and relegate Malik Willis to clipboard duty Sunday, an active Reed likely would regain the fantasy sway that he lost with Willis under center Week 2.
Sep 19, 2024
Back at practice Thursday
Reed (calf) returned to practice Thursday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed remained inside while his teammates took the practice field outside Wednesday, implying that he was focusing on rehab of the lower-body issue that first impacted him at practice last Friday. He still was able to handle a 56 percent snap share during this past Sunday's win against the Colts on his way to four touches for 46 yards from scrimmage. Now that he's logging drills this week, Reed's listing on Thursday's injury report will provide a sense of where he's at health-wise.
Sep 18, 2024
Officially DNP on Wednesday
Reed didn't practice Wednesday due to a calf injury.
ANALYSIS
Reed showed up on the Packers' Week 2 injury report Friday as limited due to calf and shin issues, but a questionable designation didn't stop him from suiting up this past Sunday against the Colts. A run-heavy game plan and a lesser snap share (56 percent) somewhat capped his production, but he still turned his four touches into 46 yards from scrimmage. With a DNP under his belt to begin this week, Reed's status will be one to monitor in the coming days to get a sense of his potential to play Sunday at Tennessee.
Sep 18, 2024
Not seen at practice Wednesday
Reed (undisclosed) wasn't present at the part of Wednesday's practice open to the media, Bill Huber of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed was tacked on to the Packers' final Week 2 practice report Friday as limited due to calf and shin injuries and entered the weekend as questionable. He ended up suiting up this past Sunday against the Colts and logged 39 of 70 offensive snaps (56 percent), but his production fell off with Malik Willis and not Jordan Love under center as Green Bay employed a run-heavy game plan. Still, Reed turned four touches (two catches, two rushes) into 46 yards from scrimmage. His current health concern isn't known but very well may be the same lower-body issues that he dealt with last week.
Sep 15, 2024
Productive as rusher in win
Reed secured both targets for nine yards and rushed twice for 37 yards in the Packers' 16-10 win over the Colts on Sunday. He also returned a punt for no gain and committed a fumble recovered by Green Bay.
ANALYSIS
Reed once again flashed impressive skills in space, but his most productive touches by far came as a runner. The versatile second-year pro rattled off gains of 22 and 15 yards on his pair of carries, while his receiving line was unsurprisingly subdued with Malik Willis being asked to run a very conservative gameplan in place of Jordan Love (knee). Reed's receiving numbers are almost certainly going to continue taking a hit for what is expected to be a multi-game absence for Love, although it's certainly possible Willis is tasked with more downfield passing in a Week 3 visit to the Titans.
Sep 15, 2024
Active in Week 2
Reed (calf/shin) is active for Sunday's game against the Colts, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed made a surprise appearance on the Packers' Week 2 practice report Friday as limited due to calf and shin issues. On occasion, such a situation eventually leads to an absence, but that won't be the case for the second-year wide receiver. Sunday will mark Reed's first game action without Jordan Love, who is missing the first of what likely will be multiple games due to a sprained MCL. As a result, he'll be on the receiving end of passes from Malik Willis, which on paper is a significant downgrade for Reed and the rest of Green Bay's pass catchers.
Sep 15, 2024
Expected to play
Reed (calf/shin), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts, is expected to play, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed didn't show up with an injury on the practice report until Friday, so it sounds like this issue is minor. However, his status won't be confirmed, one way or another, until about 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 pm ET start when inactives are announced.
Sep 13, 2024
Status in question for Week 2
Reed (calf/shin) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
This follows Reed showing up on the Packers' Week 2 practice report Friday as limited by a pair of lower-leg injuries. His status will confirmed, one way or another, about 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p..m. ET kickoff. Meanwhile, Green Bay has yet to rule out Jordan Love (MCL sprain) for this upcoming contest, also calling him questionable, so there seems to be a chance Reed will be on the receiving end of passes from his typical signal-caller, assuming the pair are active this weekend.
Sep 13, 2024
Logs limited practice Friday
Reed practiced in a limited fashion Friday due to shin and calf injuries, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed is making a late appearance on the Packers' Week 2 practice report after avoiding it entirely Wednesday and Thursday. His listing for Sunday's game against the Colts remains to be seen, but for the time being, another cloud is hanging over the Packers offense in addition to QB Jordan Love (knee) and RBs Josh Jacobs (back) and MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring).
Sep 7, 2024
Opens campaign with big performance
Reed caught four of six targets for 138 yards and a touchdown and added one rush for a 33-yard touchdown in Friday's Week 1 loss to Philadelphia.
ANALYSIS
Reed had two huge plays in the second quarter -- a 33-yard TD run and a 70-yard reception for his second score. The second-year wideout had only three other catches, but two of them went for big gains of 26 and 33 yards, respectively. Quarterback Jordan Love spread the ball around pretty evenly Friday, with eight different players receiving at least two targets and all three of the team's top wideouts -- Reed, Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson -- getting at least five looks. That could continue throughout the campaign, as all three figure to play a big role in the Packers' passing game, but Reed has shown a knack for producing even without being the clear-cut No. 1 receiver during his time in the NFL. He'll likely be a key part of the team's offense again in Week 2 against Indianapolis, though his outlook will dampen if Love, who left the contest in the final seconds of the fourth quarter with an apparent leg injury, ends up missing time.

Returns to practice
Reed (calf) is practicing Thursday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Matt LaFleur apparently wasn't kidding when he said there was no long-term concern about Reed's calf injury -- the wideout is back at practice after missing just one day. Reed is locked in as Green Bay's slot man in three-wide formations, but there is some question about how much playing time he'll get in 12 personnel with two tight ends. The good news for fantasy managers is that Reed was a clear priority whenever he was on the field last year, drawing targets on a team-high 23.1 percent of routes and taking 11 carries for 119 yards and two TDs. If that kind of usage continues (or improves), he'll stay relevant for fantasy even without the two-wide snaps.
Aug 8, 2024
No concern about calf injury
Coach Matt LaFleur said Thursday that there's no long-term concern about Reed's calf injury, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
It sounds like Reed won't be out for long, after first missing practice Wednesday. That said, the Packers have a well-earned reputation for being cautious with injuries, so Reed figures to miss additional practices even if his calf issue doesn't elevate to the level that would cause him to miss a game in the regular season. He's locked in as Green Bay's slot man in three-wide formations, but there is some question about how much playing time he'll get in 12 personnel with two tight ends.

Managing calf injury
Reed (calf) is not practicing Wednesday, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed missed the start of training camp due to a toe injury, and the second-year pro is now dealing with a calf issue. There's not yet any reason to believe that Reed is facing anything too significant, but it could be enough to prevent him from taking the field with Jordan Love and the rest of the starting offense to kick off Saturday's road exhibition matchup against the Browns. Of note, any time Reed spends sidelined will provide a clearer path for Dontayvion Wicks and Bo Melton to take regular reps with the first-team.
Jul 27, 2024
Back participating in practice
Reed (toe) is practicing with the team Saturday, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed was activated off the NFI list earlier this week after recovering from a minor toe injury suffered earlier in the summer. The second-year wideout joins the newly minted highest-paid player in the NFL, Jordan Love, who also made his triumphant return to practice Saturday after signing his massive extension Friday. Reed is primed to be one of the team's most explosive options in a wideout group brimming with potential.
Jul 24, 2024
Activated from NFI list
Reed (toe) will be activated from the non-football injury list and practice in a limited capacity Wednesday, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed was on the NFI list for just a couple days, after suffering a seemingly minor injury during his youth camp earlier this summer. He finished his 2023 rookie season as the team leader in catches (64), receiving yards (793), yards from scrimmage (912) and total touchdowns (10), and his success working out of the slot hints at role security even though the Packers have a deep group of pass catchers that also includes WRs Romeo Doubs, Christian Watson, Dontayvion Wicks and Bo Melton. It is possible that depth impacts Reed's target volume as well as his playing time in two-wide formations, but there's no doubt he'll be a regular presence and priority when the Packers have three WRs on the field.
Jul 22, 2024
Should practice soon
Reed (undisclosed) is dealing with a minor injury and shouldn't be on the non-football injury list for long, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Packers GM Brian Gutekunst told reporters Monday that Reed "tweaked something" during his youth camp this summer. The Packers' leading receiver from 2023 won't practice at the start of training camp, but it doesn't sound like there's any concern about his Week 1 status. Reed mostly worked the slot as a rookie and figures to again get most of his playing time inside, perhaps insulating him from competition while Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks and Bo Melton battle for perimeter snaps.
Jul 21, 2024
Unavailable for start of camp
Reed (undisclosed) will open the Packers' training camp on the active/non-football injury list, Bill Huber of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed will be on the sidelines as Green Bay kicks off their training camp Monday, dealing with an undisclosed non-football injury. The wide receiver is eligible to return to practice at any point and ultimately play this preseason, which the Packers will begin on the road at Cleveland on Aug. 10.
Jan 21, 2024
Four catches in divisional round
Reed recorded four receptions on four targets for 35 yards in Saturday's 24-21 loss to the 49ers. He added one rush for nine yards.
ANALYSIS
The Packers had all of their top pass-catching options available, so targets were spread widely. That limited Reed's volume, and he was also primarily limited to opportunity in the short areas of the field, with the exception being a 29-yard catch deep down the right sideline early in the second quarter. After ending the regular season as the team's most productive pass catcher, Reed was overshadowed by Romeo Doubs in the postseason and was shut out from the stat sheet in the wild-card round. Nevertheless, it was a promising rookie season for Reed overall -- he found the end zone 10 times in 16 regular season games -- but target volume will remain an issue in 2024 due to the number of young receivers on the roster.
Jan 18, 2024
Ready for Saturday
Reed (chest) doesn't have an injury designation for Saturday's divisional-round contest in San Francisco, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed has tended to a chest injury most weeks since Week 12, but he's sat out only one time in the last eight games. In seven appearances during that stretch, he hauled in 32 of 46 targets for 330 yards, had six carries for 54 yards and scored five total touchdowns. With his status cleared ahead of the weekend, Green Bay's receiving corps will be intact Saturday after Christian Watson (hamstring) also avoided a game-day designation on the team's final practice report.
Jan 17, 2024
Logs limited practice listing
Reed (chest) was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's walk-through.
ANALYSIS
Reed was also listed as limited on Tuesday's practice estimate, so the wideout will have one more chance to upgrade to full participation ahead of Saturday's divisional round playoff game against the 49ers. In Green Bay's 48-32 wild-card win over the Cowboys this past Sunday, Reed logged 26 of a possible 56 snaps on offense and didn't haul in any of his three targets.
Jan 16, 2024
Still dealing with chest injury
The Packers listed Reed as a limited participant on Tuesday's practice estimate, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed suffered a chest injury in Green Bay's Week 17 victory over the Vikings, and has subsequently drawn back-to-back questionable tags that he ultimately played through. He seemingly served as a decoy in the Packers wild-card win over the Cowboys, as he failed to record a catch on three targets. However, it is unclear if perhaps his chest issue had anything to do with the lack of production. The rookie pass catcher will now focus on recovering in time for Saturday's showdown in San Francisco.
Jan 15, 2024
Shut out Sunday
Reed was targeted three times but did not catch a pass in Sunday's 48-32 victory over the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Reed ended the regular season on a hot streak, but he served mainly as a decoy Sunday with the Packers and quarterback Jordan Love simply taking what the Dallas defense was giving them. Reed still finished third among Packers wideouts in snaps, and even with Green Bay having all its pass catchers available, he remains a high-upside option after scoring 10 times between Weeks 2-18.
Jan 7, 2024
First 100-yard game
Reed recorded four receptions on four targets for 112 yards in Sunday's 17-9 win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Reed entered the game having at least eight targets in three straight games, so he took a step back from a volume perspective. However, he used lengthy catches of 59 and 32 yards to post the first 100-yard game of his career despite the limited opportunity. Reed entered the contest dealing with a chest injury, but assuming he's able to suit up in a wild-card round matchup against the Cowboys, he's a good bet to lead the receiving corps once again. He concludes his first regular season with 793 receiving yards and eight touchdowns on 64 catches.
Jan 7, 2024
Playing in Week 18
Reed (chest) is listed as active Sunday against the Bears, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Since showing up on the Packers' Week 12 practice report with a chest injury, Reed also has dealt with ankle, toe and rib issues. During the ensuing six-game stretch, he sat out Week 16 due to the toe concern but still posted 28 catches (on 39 targets) for 218 yards and four touchdowns and turned six carries into 54 yards and one more score in the other five contests. The Packers are looking to hold on to the No. 7 seed in the NFC, and while Reed and Dontayvion Wicks (chest) are giving it a go Week 18, fellow wide receiver Christian Watson (hamstring) remains sidelined.
Jan 5, 2024
Questionable for Week 18
Reed (chest) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bears, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed was listed with a chest injury for much of December but missed a game Week 16 with a toe issue. He returned for Week 17 and caught six passes for 89 yards and two touchdowns before halftime but then left in the second quarter (and didn't return) with a chest/rib injury. The Packers listed Reed as a limited practice participant Wednesday and Thursday, and with a playoff spot on the line it won't be surprising if he suits up even if that means playing through pain. The Packers have a reputation for being cautious with injuries, but this might be an exception given that it's not a lower-body issue and the team has so much on the line. Reed enters the weekend with a chance to suit up and avoid the inactive list ahead of a 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff. Fellow wide receivers Christian Watson (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (chest) also are listed as questionable, though the latter's full practice participation earlier this week suggests he may not be truly questionable but rather on track to return after missing Week
Jan 4, 2024
Still limited Thursday
Reed (chest) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Though Reed wasn't able to return to this past Sunday's 33-10 win over the Vikings after suffering a chest injury in the second quarter, his limited listings on the Packers' first two Week 18 injury reports inspires hope that he'll be back on the field for Sunday's regular-season finale versus the Bears. Whether Reed approaches that contest with a designation will likely hinge on him upgrading to full activity at Friday's practice. If Reed remains limited Friday, he'll most likely be listed as questionable for Sunday's contest.
Jan 3, 2024
Limited to begin Week 18 prep
Reed (chest) was limited in Wednesday's walkthrough.
ANALYSIS
Reed made an early exit from this past Sunday's win at Minnesota due to a chest injury, but not before putting up six catches (on eight targets) for 89 yards and two touchdowns. In the aftermath of the game, he had X-rays in his ribs, which were returned negative. Reed confirmed as much Wednesday, telling Matt Schneidman of The Athletic, "Everything was fine. Went in and got the X-rays, scanned and everything was good. ... I feel pretty good." Still, the overly cautious Packers likely will continue to place practice restrictions on Reed as the week goes on with an aim toward having him as a healthy as possible Sunday against the Bears.
Jan 3, 2024
Seen at practice Wednesday
Reed (chest) was present at practice Wednesday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Prior to exiting the Packers' Week 17 win in Minnesota at halftime, Reed was cooking to the tune of six catches (on eight targets) for 89 yards and two touchdowns. While the listed reason for his departure was a chest injury -- something that he's been dealing with since Week 12 prep -- he subsequently underwent X-rays on his ribs Monday that were returned negative. Green Bay's upcoming injury report will reveal how much work, if any, Reed was able to handle.
Jan 1, 2024
X-rays return negative
Reed had X-rays on his ribs return negative, but he'll undergo further testing Monday and remains "pretty sore," Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed enjoyed the best performance of his career in Sunday's victory versus Minnesota, catching six of eight targets for 89 yards and two touchdowns. All of that production came in the first half, as a chest injury kept him from returning to action after halftime. The results of further tests as well as Reed's practice activity during Week 18 prep are certainly worth monitoring, as he appears to be in some danger of missing Sunday's key clash against Chicago.
Jan 1, 2024
Undergoes imaging on chest
Reed underwent CT scans on his chest following Sunday's 33-10 win over the Vikings, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed delivered six catches for 89 yards and two touchdowns in the first half of Sunday's win. He was unable to play in the final two quarters due to the injury, and his availability for a pivotal Week 18 matchup against the Bears is currently unclear.
Dec 31, 2023
Won't return against Vikings
Reed (chest) will not return to Sunday's game against the Vikings, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed was not spotted on the sideline coming out of the locker room for the second half and has now been ruled out. Prior to exiting, he delivered six receptions for 89 yards and two scores, helping the Packers build an extensive lead over their division rival. Reed will now turn his attention to a pivotal Week 18 matchup against the Bears.
Dec 31, 2023
Exits with chest injury
Reed left Sunday's game at Minnesota due to a chest injury.
ANALYSIS
Reed was in the midst of putting together his best performance of the season prior to the Packers deeming him questionable to return at the start of the third quarter. On eight targets, he'd hauled in six passes for 89 yards and two touchdowns (33 and 25 yards). Considering Green Bay already is down Christian Watson (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (chest/ankle) on Sunday, the receiving corps has been whittled down to Romeo Doubs, Malik Heath, Samori Toure and Bo Melton.
Dec 29, 2023
Cleared for Sunday night
Reed (toe/chest) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against Minnesota, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Meanwhile, WR Christian Watson (hamstring) is doubtful and Dontayvion Wicks (chest) is listed as questionable but appears less than 50/50 to play. Reed has been a key part of Green Bay's passing game in any case, and he and Romeo Doubs figure to be the two top options for Jordan Love come Sunday night. Reed's chest injury has been lingering for a while without threatening his availability, whereas the toe injury forced him to the inactive list for last week's 33-30 win over Carolina.
Dec 28, 2023
Limited Thursday
Reed (toe/chest) was limited at practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Reed received the same listing on Wednesday's estimated practice report due to the pair of injuries that have impacted his on-field reps since Week 12 prep. The toe issue forced the rookie second-round pick to miss this past Sunday's game in Carolina, but he seems to be closing in on active status again, which could be revealed as soon as the Packers post their final injury report of the week Friday. Meanwhile, Christian Watson (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (chest/ankle) have yet to mix into drills this week, so a returning Reed could be in line for a large workload alongside Romeo Doubs if he's able to suit up.
Dec 27, 2023
Officially limited Wednesday
Reed (toe/chest) was limited in Wednesday's walkthrough, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Among the Packers' banged-up wide receivers, Reed was the only one to log on-field work to begin Week 17 prep, while Christian Watson (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (chest/ankle) went down as non-participants. Reed wasn't able to practice at all last week before being inactive this past Sunday in Carolina, so he's in a better spot this time around. Still, his activity level will be monitored as the week goes on to ascertain his odds to return to action Sunday at Minnesota.
Dec 27, 2023
Returns to practice Wednesday
Reed (toe/chest) took part in Wednesday's practice, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
After failing to practice at all last week due to a toe injury suffered Week 15, Reed unsurprisingly was among the Packers to be inactive this past Sunday at Carolina. Fellow wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks was ruled out with a chest issue in the second half of that contest, but he was able to mix into drills with Reed on Wednesday. Ultimately, Green Bay's first practice report of Week 17 prep will reveal the activity levels of both players.
Dec 24, 2023
Sitting out in Week 16
Reed (toe/chest) is listed as inactive Sunday at Carolina, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed has been banged up the last five weeks with a variety of injuries, with a toe issue not allowing him to practice during Week 16 prep. Despite carrying a questionable designation into the weekend, he'll join fellow wide receiver Christian Watson (hamstring) in street clothes Sunday. The Packers thus will roll with Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks (ankle), Malik Heath, Samori Toure and Bo Melton at the position.
Dec 22, 2023
Listed as questionable after DNP
Reed (toe) didn't practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Carolina, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed was outside with his teammates for Friday's practice but ultimately didn't participate, marking his third consecutive absence following a late exit from the 34-20 loss to Tampa Bay in Week 15. With Christian Watson (hamstring) listed as doubtful and his replacement (Dontayvion Wicks) now questionable due to an ankle injury, the Packers have just Romeo Doubs at full strength among their top four options at wide receiver. It's still possible both Reed and Wicks play, in which case they'd form the top trio along with Doubs. If one or both are inactive, Malik Heath and/or Samori Toure will fill in (Heath benefitted from Reed's absence at the end of last Sunday's loss). The lack of practice participation this week suggests Reed will be a game-time decision, at best, ahead of the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff Sunday, whereas Wicks was able to practice on a limited basis this week and thus appears in less danger of missing the game.
Dec 21, 2023
Doesn't practice Thursday
Reed (toe/chest) didn't practice Thursday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed has been playing through a chest injury the last four games, but an ankle issue also impacted his practice reps last week, and now a toe injury appears to be the primary concern during Week 16 prep. With just one more chance for him and Christian Watson (hamstring) to practice by week's end, the Packers may be in danger of being down two of their top four wide receivers Sunday in Carolina. Friday's injury report may seal their fate for that contest.
Dec 20, 2023
Starts week with practice absence
Reed (toe) isn't practicing Wednesday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed dealt with chest and ankle injuries earlier this month, but it was a new toe injury that knocked him out of Sunday's loss to Tampa Bay in the fourth quarter. An absence from practice to start the week suggests he's in at least some danger of missing Sunday's game at Carolina.
Dec 17, 2023
Hurts toe Sunday
Reed suffered a toe injury during Sunday's game against the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
Prior to his departure late in the fourth quarter, Reed had hauled in six of eight targets for 52 yards and one touchdown. Considering Christian Watson (hamstring) and Samori Toure (coach's decision) are inactive, the Packers are left with Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, Malik Heath and Bo Melton at wide receiver.
Dec 15, 2023
Set to play Sunday
Reed (ankle) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game against the Buccaneers, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
After dealing with a chest injury during preparation for Weeks 12-14, Reed operated with a cap on his reps this week due to an ankle issue. It won't stop him from suiting up Sunday, though, and he likely won't have to contend with fellow wide receiver Christian Watson (hamstring, doubtful) for reps this weekend. Rookie WR Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) also is questionable for Week 15, leaving Reed, Romeo Doubs, Malik Heath and Samori Toure as the healthy options at the position on the Packers' active roster.
Dec 14, 2023
Logs limited session Thursday
Reed (ankle) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday.
ANALYSIS
After beginning Week 15 prep as limited on Wednesday's estimated injury report, Reed had a cap on his reps during the limited time the Packers were on the field Thursday. His activity level at Friday's longer session thus will be key for his potential to avoid a designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Buccaneers. With Christian Watson (hamstring) not practicing for a second week in a row, Reed may have a bigger role than normal this weekend if he's able to play through his current ankle issue.
Dec 13, 2023
Dealing with ankle issue
Reed was listed as limited on Wednesday's practice estimate due to an ankle injury, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
For the previous three weeks of game prep, Reed tended to a chest injury, but he's swapped that out for a new health concern to kick off Week 15 prep. He at least seems to be healthier than fellow wide receivers Christian Watson (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (ankle), both of whom were listed as non-participants Wednesday. The next two days of practice likely will determine who among the trio join Romeo Doubs, Malik Heath and Samori Toure as the Packers' options at the position Sunday versus the Buccaneers.
Dec 12, 2023
Garners 12 touches Monday
Reed brought in eight of his 10 targets for 27 yards and rushed four times for 38 yards and a touchdown in the Packers' 24-22 loss to the Giants on Monday night.
ANALYSIS
Reed led the Packers in receptions and targets on the night while also serving as the team's second-most productive rusher. The rookie struck for his second rushing touchdown of the season on a 16-yard run late in the first quarter, and he built up to a new career best in receptions with constant short catches throughout the night. Reed's overall volume is certainly very encouraging for fantasy managers entering the postseason in their leagues, and it gives the 2023 second-round pick a nice floor going into a Week 15 home date against the Buccaneers.
Dec 9, 2023
No injury designation for Monday
Reed (chest) does not carry an injury designation into Monday's contest against the Giants, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radioreports.
ANALYSIS
Reed was a limited participant in practice all week, but that was evidently enough to escape an injury designation Saturday. Christian Watson (hamstring) was predictably ruled out ahead of Monday's contest, which means Reed will likely be relied on to stretch the field and make explosive plays, something he did reliably in the beginning of the season. The rookie has tallied at least four receptions in all but one game dating back to Week 7, but he's averaging just 11.2 yards per reception after registering an eye-popping 16.9 yards per catch through the first four games of the season.
Dec 8, 2023
Logs another limited practice
Reed (chest) was a limited practice participant Friday, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed likely will play through the injury for a third straight week, and this time he may do so without Christian Watson (hamstring) in the lineup commanding targets. There's still some cause for concern -- even in a friendly matchup against a Giants defense that's allowed the fourth most points to wide receivers -- as Reed played fewer snaps than usual last week (47 percent) and wouldn't automatically get a lot more playing time in Watson's absence (Reed has taken 65 percent of his snaps from the slot this year, whereas Watson has worked the perimeter 63 percent of the time). Fellow rookie wideout Dontayvion Wicks could end up picking up most of the slack if Watson is inactive Monday night, though Reed might be more emphasized in the gameplan from a targets standpoint even if he's still only getting regular snaps in three-wide formations.
Dec 7, 2023
Still dealing with chest injury
Reed (chest) practiced in a limited fashion Thursday.
ANALYSIS
For a third consecutive week, Reed's on-field work is being impacted by chest soreness, but he's still been able to suit up for the Packers' last two games, reeling in eight of 13 targets for 50 yards and a touchdown and notching two carries for 16 yards during that stretch. With Christian Watson's status up in the air for Week 14 due to a new hamstring injury, Reed may be in line for increased volume from quarterback Jordan Love alongside Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks and Malik Heath.
Dec 4, 2023
Targeted five times on SNF
Reed (chest) caught four of five targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 27-19 win over Kansas City.
ANALYSIS
Reed overcame a nagging chest injury for the second week in a row in order to suit up against the Chiefs on Sunday. The versatile rookie finished without a touchdown or rushing attempt for the first time since Week 8, highlighting his useful production over that span. Reed still garnered five targets despite Sunday's meager fantasy production, keeping him relevant in deeper formats for next Monday's tilt against the Giants.
Dec 3, 2023
Active in Week 13
Reed (chest) is listed as active Sunday versus the Chiefs, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed has been dealing with a chest injury for two weeks in a row, but it won't stop him from suiting up on either occasion, despite being capped at one limited session (Friday) during Week 13 prep. He thus should slot into his typical role as one of the Packers' top three wide receivers alongside Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs. Reed has been in a nice groove over the last five games, gathering in 20 of 28 targets for 266 yards and two touchdowns and turning six carries into 83 yards and another score.
Dec 3, 2023
In line to play Sunday
Reed (chest), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, is trending toward playing, Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com reports.
ANALYSIS
According to Schultz, Reed is scheduled to go through a pregame workout as a final check of his health, but the expectation is that he'll avoid the Packers' Week 13 inactive list, which will be released 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff. The rookie wideout has seen an uptick in involvement in the passing game of late, having accrued a 13-164-2 receiving line on 19 targets while also carrying five times for 62 yards and another score over Green Bay's last three games.
Dec 1, 2023
Questionable for Week 13
Coach Matt LaFleur said Friday that Reed (chest) is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest against the Chiefs, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed opened Week 13 prep with back-to-back absences due to a chest injury that has lingered since a Week 11 win against the Chargers, but his return to the field in some capacity Friday has him in a position to miss no game action as a result. He was able to play through the issue during the Packers' win in Detroit on Thanksgiving, hauling in four of eight targets for 34 yards and one touchdown and taking two carries for 16 yards. Reed's availability won't be confirmed until about 90 minutes before Sunday's 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff.
Dec 1, 2023
Returns to practice
Reed (chest) returned to practice Friday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After back-to-back missed practices, Reed's return at the end of the week seemingly gives him a shot to play Sunday night against the Chiefs. He's still only third among Packers WRs in snaps and routes most weeks -- behind Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson -- but the rookie nonetheless is averaging 5.4 targets per game and took five carries the past two weeks (in addition to 14 targets).
Nov 30, 2023
Still not practicing
Reed (chest) remained sidelined at practice Thursday, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed missed Wednesday's session, so what he's able to do Friday will be pivotal with regard to his chances of suiting up Sunday night against the Chiefs. If Reed is unavailable this weekend, Dontayvion Wicks (knee), Malik Heath and Samori Toure would be candidates for added Week 13 WR snaps.
Nov 29, 2023
Still dealing with chest issue
Reed didn't practice Wednesday due to a chest injury, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed was a midweek addition to the Packers' Week 12 injury report as limited due to the same issue last Tuesday, but a full listing one day later and no designation allowed him to suit up on Thanksgiving in Detroit. He proceeded to gather in four of eight targets for 34 yards and one touchdown and take two carries for 16 yards. Reed will have two more opportunities this week to get back to all on-field work before the team potentially tags him with a designation for Sunday's contest against the Chiefs.
Nov 23, 2023
Finds end zone again Thursday
Reed caught four of eight targets for 34 yards and a touchdown and added 16 rushing yards on two carries in Thursday's 29-22 win over the Lions.
ANALYSIS
While it wasn't the most efficient performance, Reed scored a TD for the third straight game, opening the scoring on Green Bay's first possession with a 10-yard strike from Jordan Love. The 2023 second-round pick has totaled 226 scrimmage yards over his three-game touchdown streak, and with the Packers committed to getting him the ball in a variety of ways, Reed appears poised for a big finish to the season.
Nov 22, 2023
Clear for Thursday's game
Reed (chest) was listed as a full participant on Wednesday's injury report and doesn't have a designation for Thursday's contest at Detroit, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed showed up suddenly on Tuesday's report as limited due to a chest injury, which coach Matt LaFleur told Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel stemmed from feeling soreness that become a bigger issue as the week went on. But it didn't impact Reed at Wednesday's walkthrough, and he'll now be available Thursday versus a Lions defense that has given up the fifth-most touchdowns (12 to opposing wide receivers in 10 games this season.
Nov 21, 2023
Tending to chest injury
Reed was added to the Packers' Week 12 practice report Tuesday as limited due to a chest injury.
ANALYSIS
LaFleur elaborated on Reed's status, telling Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that the rookie wide receiver dealt with soreness in his chest after Sunday's win against the Chargers that had become a bigger issue as of Tuesday. Reed's listing on Wednesday's injury report thus will need to be monitored to get a sense of his potential to play Thursday in Detroit. As for the rest of Green Bay's receiving corps, Christian Watson (shoulder) was listed as full Tuesday, while WR Dontayvion Wicks (concussion/knee) and TEs Luke Musgrave (abdomen) and Josiah Deguara (hip) were DNPs.
Nov 19, 2023
Leads Green Bay in rushing
Reed caught four of six targets for 46 yards and rushed three times for 46 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Reed's day was highlighted by a 32-yard touchdown on an end-around to begin the second quarter. With the help of that score, the rookie actually led the Packers in rushing yards Sunday, when top tailback Aaron Jones went down with a knee injury. If Jones is sidelined going forward, Reed could continue to see occasional carries on motion plays from his wideout position, where he entered Sunday leading the team in receiving yards.
Nov 12, 2023
Leads Packers in receiving
Reed caught all five of his targets for 84 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-19 loss to the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Reed turned in an excellent performance, pacing Green Bay in both catches and receiving yards. His totals included a 35-yard touchdown during the second quarter, then Reed helped put the team in scoring position with a 46-yard grab on its last drive. Although the Packers' offensive inconsistencies impact Reed's stock, he's now topped 80 yards in two of his last three outings, continuing a quality rookie campaign.
Nov 6, 2023
Limited in easy win
Reed had three receptions for 19 yards and one carry for 21 yards in Sunday's 20-3 victory over the Rams.
ANALYSIS
The Packers leaned heavily on the ground game in Sunday's comfortable win, which resulted in their tight ends all spending extra time on the field and Reed playing fewer than 40 percent of the snaps for the first time in his rookie season. Green Bay's next opponent, Pittsburgh, has been pretty friendly to receivers over the course of the campaign, so Reed will have a chance to bounce back in Week 10 -- particularly if fellow wideout Christian Watson is out or limited after sustaining several injuries against Los Angeles.
Oct 29, 2023
Leading receiver in loss
Reed caught four of six targets for 83 yards in Sunday's 24-10 loss to the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
The 2023 second-round pick was the Packers' leading receiving on the day in terms of yardage, although Romeo Doubs (nine) and Christian Watson (eight) both saw more targets and AJ Dillon caught more passes (five). Reed also set a new career high with the 83-yard performance, and he appears to have held onto a significant role in the passing game since Watson's Week 4 return to the lineup. Green Bay's passing game as a whole could be poised for a breakout in Week 9 against a Rams defense that just got lit up by Dak Prescott and the Cowboys.
Oct 23, 2023
Tallies third touchdown
Reed was targeted four times and caught three passes for 21 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 19-17 loss to the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
Reed technically was not the intended recipient of his touchdown, as he hauled in a pass that was deflected by teammate Romeo Doubs. However, in the box score he was credited with both the target and his first touchdown since Week 2. Reed briefly left Sunday's game with a shin injury, but he returned and wound up playing just under 50 percent of the plays run by Green Bay's offense. With Christian Watson coming out of Sunday's loss with another knee issue, Reed could see his role increase once again in Week 8 against the Vikings.
Oct 22, 2023
Back in Sunday's game
Reed (shin) returned to Sunday's game in Denver, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed made his way to sideline slowly after making a five-yard catch in the last minute of the second quarter and was deemed questionable to return. After halftime, he was able to do so, rejoining Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks and Samori Toure as the Packers' available wide receivers.
Oct 22, 2023
Dealing with shin injury
Reed departed Sunday's game at Denver in the second quarter due to a shin injury.
ANALYSIS
Reed appeared to get hurt on a five-yard catch just before halftime. With Malik Heath a healthy scratch Sunday, the Packers' other available wide receivers are Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks and Samori Toure.
Oct 10, 2023
Snap count takes hit
Reed was targeted twice and caught one pass for seven yards in Monday's 17-13 loss to the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
Reed's snap-count percentage increased in each of Weeks 2-4, but with fellow wideout Christian Watson handling essentially a full workload Monday for the first time this season, Reed's percentage took a noticeable dip in Week 5. He did pretty clearly work as Green Bay's third receiver behind Watson and Romeo Doubs, but in that role he will have a tough time matching the numbers he put up over the first month of the season.
Sep 29, 2023
Game-long catch in loss
Reed brought in three of five targets for 55 yards in the Packers' 34-20 loss to the Lions on Thursday night. He also committed a fumble that was recovered by Green Bay and returned one punt for no gain.
ANALYSIS
The highlight of the speedy rookie's night was a game-long 44-yard grab, which accounted for the majority of the wideout's production. Reed still saw a solid target total in what was Christian Watson's season debut -- in fact, he outpaced the latter by one in that category -- an encouraging development with respect to his potential involvement moving forward. Reed has already developed plenty of chemistry with Jordan Love, and he'll have a chance to continue building that rapport during a Week 5 bye ahead of a Week 6 Monday night road matchup versus the Raiders on Oct. 9.
Sep 24, 2023
Inconsistent in Week 3
Reed caught three of seven targets for 63 yards in Sunday's 18-17 win over the Saints.
ANALYSIS
Reed, who scored twice in Week 2, failed to secure a pair of would-be touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Despite those disappointments, though, the rookie rallied to make a fantastic, diving catch for a 30-yard gain to set up Green Bay's winning score. With a new high in single-game yardage to boot, Reed continues to flash playmaking potential, which should keep him regularly involved whether or not Christian Watson (hamstring) returns for Week 4's Thursday night game against the Lions.
Sep 17, 2023
Scores twice versus Falcons
Reed caught four of eight targets for 37 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 25-24 loss to the Falcons.
ANALYSIS
Reed scored his first career touchdown on a nine-yard push pass during the first quarter. He then capped a drive that saw him make a few receptions with a 10-yard touchdown during the third quarter. With top wideout Christian Watson (hamstring) sidelined thus far, Reed has provided a nice playmaking element to Green Bay's offense that should see him remain involved as the third receiver even if Watson returns in Week 3 versus the Saints.
Sep 10, 2023
Encouraging NFL debut
Reed caught two of five targets for 48 yards in Sunday's 38-20 win over the Bears. He also rushed once for a two-yard loss.
ANALYSIS
Reed was rocked on his first touch, an option pitch he did well to hold onto. Afterward, though, he made a couple key catches on third downs and showed some shiftiness in the open field by totaling 54 yards on three punt returns. While he briefly exited with cramps late in the game, Reed ultimately returned to recover an attempted onside kick. Overall, it was an eventful debut for the rookie second-rounder, who'll now turn his attention toward Week 2's trip to Atlanta, when top wideout Christian Watson (hamstring) could return to Green Bay's starting lineup.
Sep 10, 2023
Returns to game in Chicago
Reed (cramps) returned to Sunday's game against the Bears, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Reed briefly exited after cramping in the fourth quarter, but he reentered the game with the Packers' hands team as the Bears attempted an onside kick. The 2023 second-round pick from Michigan State has two catches for 48 yards on five targets in his NFL debut.
Sep 10, 2023
Two catches before cramping
Reed (cramps) is questionable to return to Sunday's game in Chicago.
ANALYSIS
With the Packers comfortably leading late, the rookie wide receiver's NFL debut is likely done, but cramps shouldn't affect Reed's availability moving forward. The 2023 second-round pick out of Michigan State caught two of five targets for 48 yards and rushed once for minus-2 yards prior to getting hurt in the fourth quarter. Reed couldn't put weight on his right foot as he was being helped off the field, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.
Aug 26, 2023
Gets two touches
Reed caught one of three targets for seven yards and took a carry for nine yards in Saturday's 19-15 preseason win over Seattle.
ANALYSIS
The second-round pick got his carry on the opening drive and saw all three of his targets on the third and final drive for the first-team offense. Reed figures to be at least the No. 3 receiver when the Packers open their season at Chicago in Week 1, with potential to move up a spot if Romeo Doubs' hamstring injury lingers.
Aug 20, 2023
Catches first preseason TD
Reed took his lone reception (two targets) for a 19-yard touchdown in Saturday's preseason loss to New England.
ANALYSIS
Reed followed up his two-catch debut last week with his first touchdown as a pro Saturday. It was also the Packers' first touchdown of the game, as the second-round selection continues to see some reps with the first-team offense. Reed will likely wind up occupying the third/slot role behind Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs to begin the year, but the Michigan State product is making a case for more targets with his strong play early on.
Aug 11, 2023
Two catches in NFL debut
Reed caught both of his targets for 20 yards in Friday's 36-19 preseason win over the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
Reed caught one pass from starting quarterback Jordan Love and another from backup Sean Clifford. The rookie wide receiver also drew a pass interference penalty. It was encouraging to see Reed mix in with Love and the starters in his NFL debut, and the rookie second-round pick out of Michigan State is projected to occupy a top-three role in Green Bay's receiving corps come the regular season. Reed will likely see plenty of action in the Packers' second preseason game against the Patriots on Aug. 19.
Apr 28, 2023
Stays in Midwest with Green Bay
The Packers selected Reed in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, 50th overall.
ANALYSIS
Reed was not generally expected to go this early, but the former Michigan State and Western Michigan standout is a likable prospect. He initially torched competition as a true freshman at Western Michigan in 2018 before transferring to Michigan State, where he tended to blend in to the mediocre Spartans offense. Reed is more of a WR2/WR3 sort of prospect due to his slight frame (5-foot-11, 187 pounds) and merely adequate athleticism (4.45-second 40), but his production at both schools clearly indicate a starter-level skill set. He was also an excellent punt returner in college, scoring thrice and averaging a stellar 15.3 yards per return. Reed should have a solid chance of cracking a top-three spot on Green Bay's receiver depth chart as a rookie.
