Targeted 12 times
Pittman recorded nine receptions on 12 targets for 79 yards in Sunday's 36-19 loss to the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Pittman had been on the wrong end of the target distribution among Colts' pass catchers in recent weeks, but he rebounded to lead the team in opportunity in Week 14. He was targeted primarily in short areas of the field by Riley Leonard, leading to a modest yardage total, though he did manage a long 24-yard catch shortly after halftime. Pittman nearly had an even bigger day, as he appeared to have a 16-yard touchdown that was ultimately nullified by a borderline pass interference call. While this was an encouraging performance, Pittman could struggle down the stretch with Daniel Jones (Achilles) out for the rest of the year.
Nov 30, 2025
Worst showing of season
Pittman recorded one reception on four targets for 13 yards in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Texans.
ANALYSIS
Daniel Jones distributed targets very evenly between the Colts' top pass catchers, with five players earning at least four targets and none more than six. Pittman failed to even deliver on his limited opportunity, with his only catch coming late in the second quarter. While he has been a reliable target for Daniel Jones this season, this was Pittman's worst yardage total of the season and his third straight contest with fewer than 30 yards.
Nov 23, 2025
Offsets quiet day with TD
Pittman brought in five of eight targets for 27 yards and a touchdown in the Colts' 23-20 overtime loss to the Chiefs on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The veteran receiver tied with Tyler Warren for the team lead in receptions and set the pace in targets, although Pittman finished with his second consecutive sub-30-yard tally. The sixth-year pro did find the end zone for the seventh time this season on a six-yard grab in the first quarter, and Pittman now drawn at least eight targets in four of the last five contests. The veteran wideout draws a tough matchup again in Week 13, as a talented Texans defense drops in for a key divisional clash.
Nov 9, 2025
Limited to two catches Sunday
Pittman brought in both targets for 19 yards in the Colts' 31-25 overtime win over the Falcons in Berlin on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Tyler Warren and Alec Pierce served as Daniel Jones' top two targets Sunday, leaving Pittman in an unfamiliar tertiary role. The veteran's yardage total was a season-low figure, as was his target tally, but the quiet performance can very comfortably be labeled an outlier considering Pittman's typical body of work. Pittman should be in line for a much busier afternoon in a Week 12 road showdown against the Chiefs following a Week 11 bye.
Nov 7, 2025
Set to play Sunday
Pittman (glute) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game against the Falcons in Berlin.
ANALYSIS
A glute injury sidelined Pittman at Wednesday's session, but he was a full participant Thursday and then listed as full on Friday's estimated practice report, paving the way for him to continue serving as the Colts' No. 1 wide receiver. He'll look to take advantage of an Atlanta defense that has conceded the 16th-most YPT (7.8) in the NFL to opposing WRs this season.
Nov 6, 2025
Back to full participation Thursday
Pittman (glute) was a full participant at Thursday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Pittman's return to full participation Thursday suggests his absence from Wednesday's practice was precautionary. The Colts' No. 1 wide receiver is on track to suit up Sunday against the stingy Falcons secondary. He figures to maintain a significant role after racking up 17 catches for 210 yards and a touchdown on 21 targets over his team's previous two games.
Nov 6, 2025
Back at practice
Pittman (glute) practiced Thursday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
After missing Wednesday's session, Pittman's return to practice a day later bodes well for his Week 10 status. The Colts' upcoming injury report will reveal the wideout's official participation level.
Nov 5, 2025
Misses practice Wednesday
Pittman (glute) didn't practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman was on the field for 88 percent of the Colts' snaps on offense in the team's Week 9 loss to the Steelers, a game in which he caught nine of his 12 targets for a season-high 115 yards. Thursday's injury report will provide added context with regard to his status for Sunday's game against the Falcons, but it Pittman is hindered at all this weekend, Ashton Dulin would be a candidate for an uptick in snaps alongside Alec Pierce and Josh Downs.
Nov 2, 2025
Tops 100 yards
Pittman recorded nine receptions on 12 targets for 115 yards in Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
The Colts faced a multi-score deficit for nearly the entire second half, forcing them to a pass-heavy offense. That benefited Pittman, who saw a season-high 12 targets and converted that into both his highest receptions and yardage totals of the campaign. Much of Pittman's production came in garbage time in the fourth quarter -- 65 of his 115 yards came in the last 12 minutes of game time -- but he took advantage of his opportunity in a mostly underwhelming offensive performance for the Colts.
Oct 26, 2025
Ties career mark with sixth TD
Pittman hauled in eight of nine targets for 95 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 38-14 win over the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Pittman finished Sunday's decisive victory leading his club across the board in targets, receptions and receiving yards. The Colts' top wideout also cashed in his sixth touchdown of the season, matching his previous career high from 2021 in nine fewer games. Pittman will carry a healthy 43-446-6 receiving line into next Sunday's road tilt against the Steelers.
Oct 19, 2025
Hauls in fifth TD in win over Bolts
Pittman caught seven of nine targets for 58 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 38-24 win over the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
The veteran wideout led the Colts in catches, although both Alec Pierce and Tyler Warren hauled in more yardage, and Pittman capped his day with a four-yard TD from Daniel Jones in the second quarter. Pittman has yet to top 80 receiving yards in a game this season as the Indy offense has mainly run through Jonathan Taylor, but he's had a nose for the end zone, compiling a 35-351-5 line on 47 targets through seven contests. Pittman could be in line to make a splash again in Week 8 against the Titans.
Oct 12, 2025
Two catches in Week 6 win
Pittman brought in two of three targets for 20 yards in the Colts' 31-27 win over the Cardinals on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman's output was below his usual standards, as all three components of his receiving line were season-low figures. The veteran wideout's lackluster afternoon coincided with the return of Alec Pierce from a two-game absence due to a concussion, although the two receivers have very different skill sets and roles within the offense. Given his numbers were essentially outliers, Pittman should have a good chance to bounce back to some degree during a Week 7 road showdown against the Chargers next Sunday.
Oct 5, 2025
Scores TD in Week 5 win
Pittman brought in five of six targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in the Colts' 40-6 win over the Raiders on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The veteran receiver finished second on the Colts in receptions during the lopsided victory, and although he averaged only 7.8 yards per catch, he rounded out his production nicely with a four-yard scoring grab late in the first half. Pittman has at least five receptions in four of the first five contests of the season, and although he continues to be used primarily in a short-area role, he's already recorded four touchdown catches, one more than he tallied across 16 regular-season games in 2024. Pittman will look to continue adding to that tally in a Week 6 home matchup against the Cardinals.
Oct 3, 2025
Ready for Week 5
Pittman (hamstring) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Raiders after returning to a full practice Friday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman was added to the Colts' Week 5 injury report Thursday after being limited by a hamstring issue. However, the wideout worked fully a day later, which paves the way for him to remain a key receiving target for QB Daniel Jones this weekend. In a 27-20 loss to the Rams last Sunday, Pittman caught five passes on a team-high 10 targets for 41 yards and a touchdown, while recording a 93 percent snap share. With fellow WR Alec Pierce (concussion) out for the second straight contest, look for Pittman to remain busy versus Las Vegas.
Oct 2, 2025
Added to injury report
Pittman (hamstring) was limited at practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman, who logged 10 targets last weekend against the Rams, wasn't listed on the Colts' initial Week 5 injury report, so his addition to it Thursday is notable. Friday's final report will reveal whether or not Pittman's hamstring issue will lead to him carrying a designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Raiders. On the plus side, fellow WR Alec Pierce (concussion) has logged back-to-back full sessions and is trending toward being available versus Miami.
Sep 28, 2025
Draws 10 targets
Pittman recorded five receptions on 10 targets for 41 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-20 loss to the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Pittman saw a season-high 10 targets, which also marked the first time a Colts' pass catcher commanded double-digit targets on the campaign. He managed a modest yardage total, though he did record his third touchdown of the season on a two-yard catch early in the fourth quarter. Pittman isn't likely to deliver many huge performances given the competition for targets, but he has a minimum of four catches and 40 yards through four weeks.
Sep 21, 2025
Finds end zone in Week 3
Pittman recorded six catches on six targets for 73 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 41-20 win over the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Daniel Jones distributed targets fairly evenly, as four Colts pass catchers were targeted at least four times. Pittman led the way in every statistic, highlighted by a 20-yard touchdown grab early in the third quarter and a 17-yard gain later in the same quarter. While Pittman has the potential to be the leader of the receiving corps, targets have been relatively evenly distributed through three weeks, so Pittman will need to rely on efficiency to deliver strong statistical lines in most weeks.
Sep 14, 2025
Held to 40 yards
Pittman recorded four receptions on five targets for 68 yards in Sunday's 29-28 win over the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
Pittman took on a lesser role among the Colts' pass catchers in Week 2, tying for third on the team in targets. He was also limited to receptions in short areas of the field, with his longest gain going for just 12 yards. Tyler Warren appears to have the most consistent pass-catching role in Indianapolis early this season, which could mean inconsistent production for Pittman moving forward given the significant roles of both Josh Downs and Alec Pierce in the offense.
Sep 7, 2025
Paces pass catchers in win
Pittman secured six of eight targets for 80 yards and a touchdown in the Colts' 33-8 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman led the Colts in receiving yards while checking in second to rookie tight end Tyler Warren in both receptions and targets. The veteran receiver looked to be consistently on the same page with new quarterback Daniel Jones, with the duo connecting for gains of 14 and 27 yards in the first two possessions, the latter going for a touchdown. Pittman should have a chance to serve as one of Jones' top targets again when the Colts face off with a talented Broncos defense at home in a Week 2 matchup next Sunday.
Aug 16, 2025
Two grabs in preseason debut
Pittman secured two of three targets for 31 yards in the Colts' 23-19 preseason loss to the Packers on Saturday afternoon.
ANALYSIS
The veteran receiver showed off some solid chemistry with Daniel Jones in their first taste of game action together, recording nine- and 22-yard gains on two of the first three plays of Indianapolis' second possession. Pittman is coming off a somewhat disappointing 2024 which he finished with a 69-808-3 line after posting a career-high 109 catches and 1,152 receiving yards the season prior, but he's projected to once again serve as the Colts' unquestioned No. 1 wideout.
Aug 7, 2025
Not on track to play Thursday
Pittman is not in line to play in Thursday's preseason opener against the Ravens, Stephen Holder of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
After missing time with a groin injury, Pittman returned to practiced Tuesday, but per Holder, the wideout is among a number of the Colts' key players who won't see action Thursday. Pittman's next chance to see game action will arrive Aug. 16 against Green Bay.
Aug 5, 2025
Back at practice
Pittman (groin) returned to practice Tuesday, Jake Arthur of Locked On Colts reports.
ANALYSIS
He's making his return exactly a week after suffering what was apparently a minor groin injury. Pittman may not play in Thursday's preseason game against Baltimore, but he's on track for Week 1. Meanwhile, Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones are still competing for the starting QB job.
Aug 3, 2025
Sidelined by groin again
Pittman (groin) didn't practice Sunday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman first hurt his groin in practice Tuesday, though he was able to resume participation Thursday. However, the star wideout was held out again Saturday and Sunday, so it appears he's not fully past the injury yet. The Colts likely want to make sure Pittman is fully in the clear before he resumes practice given that the team is still in the early stages of training camp.
Aug 2, 2025
Not practicing Saturday
Pittman (undisclosed) will not participate in Saturday's training camp practice, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman's absence is likely a maintenance day, with the sixth-year wideout recovering from a groin injury that he suffered during Tuesday's practice. With Pittman sidelined, Adonai Mitchell will have the opportunity to join Alec Pierce and Josh Downs on three-wideout sets with the first-team offense, and Ashton Dulin and Anthony Gould could also see an uptick in practice reps.
Aug 1, 2025
Moves past injury
Pittman (groin) participated in Thursday night's practice, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman sustained a groin injury during Tuesday's session, but after an off day Wednesday, he was back on the field Thursday logging reps with the first-team offense. While Pittman's standing as a key member of a wideout corps that also returns Alec Pierce and Josh Downs remains secure, who will be throwing to that trio in Week 1 has yet to be determined, with Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones in the midst of what is being described as a close competition for the assignment.
Jul 31, 2025
Back at practice
Pittman (groin) participated at the start of Thursday's practice, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman suffered a groin injury at Tuesday's session, but after the Colts had an off day Wednesday, he was back on the field in at least some capacity one day later. He's developed into the Colts' top pass-catching option since being selected in the second round of the 2020 Draft, recording two 1,000-yard seasons and catching at least 88 passes three times in his five-year career.
Jul 29, 2025
Sustains groin injury Tuesday
Pittman sustained a groin injury during Tuesday's practice, Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
For now, consider Pittman day-to-day as the Colts' Aug. 7 preseason opener against the Ravens approaches. When available, Pittman is on track to maintain a steady stream of passing targets in a Colts WR corps that also features Alec Pierce and Josh Downs.
Jul 23, 2025
Participating in training camp
Pittman (knee) participated in Wednesday's opening training camp practice, Joel A. Erickson of the Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman experienced some knee soreness during the final day of Indianapolis' voluntary OTAs last month, but he's good to go for training camp and set to reprise his key role in wideout corps that also returns Alec Pierce, Josh Downs and Adonai Mitchell. One major question that remains to be settled, however, is which QB they'll be catching passes from in Week 1, with Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones currently competing for the starting job.
Jun 5, 2025
Avoids serious injury
Pittman left Thursday's practice with knee soreness,Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman was down on the field for a few seconds after suffering the injury and then limped to the sidelines. While the issue appeared alarming, Pittman was diagnosed with soreness and has avoided serious injury. Chappell suggests that Pittman will sit out minicamp, but no official timeline has emerged.
Jun 5, 2025
Limps off practice field
Pittman (undisclosed) did not return to Thursday's practice after getting tangled up during a route and limping off the field, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman sustained an apparent injury at the final day of Indianapolis' voluntary OTAs, so it's possible an update on his health won't arrive until closer to the start of mandatory minicamp June 10. Meanwhile, head coach Shane Steichen said Thursday that quarterback Anthony Richardson (shoulder) won't participate in mandatory minicamp due to an aggravation of an AC joint injury, which leaves Daniel Jones primed to handle the bulk of first-team reps. Pittman played through a small fracture in his back from Week 5 onward in 2024, tallying a 69-808-3 receiving line across 16 regular-season appearances and 111 targets, while also struggling to overcome inconsistent quarterback play. Though Pittman has fully recovered from the back issue, his status now needs to be monitored until such time as he retakes the practice field.
Apr 22, 2025
Fully healed from back injury
Pittman (back) said Tuesday that he was not required to undergo surgery to address the small fracture in his back he played through in 2024, and that he gained clearance to play in March, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman expressed confidence that his rehab work has been sufficient to get past his back injury heading into the 2025 season, per James Boyd of The Athletic. Last year, Pittman reported feelings of pain dating back to training camp but managed to suit up for 16 regular-season games, despite brief consideration of landing on IR when the severity of his injury was revealed Week 3. The 27-year-old wideout also said that he's had the opportunity to work out with new quarterback Daniel Jones already, though his schedule hasn't yet overlapped with Anthony Richardson (back), Boyd reports. The Colts have embraced an open competition between Jones and Richardson to determine the No. 1 role for 2025, foreboding a quarterback picture that won't become clearer until training camp at the earliest. Whether Jones or Richardson wins the starting gig, Pittman, Alec Pierce and Josh Downs will be positioned to headline Indianapolis' wide receiver corps.
Jan 6, 2025
Could need back surgery
Pittman said that he will undergo tests on his back Monday before a determination is made regarding whether he'll require offseason surgery, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Though he missed just one game all season, Pittman disclosed Monday that he's been feeling pain in his back since the Colts held joint practices with the Cardinals in training camp. He first showed up on the Colts' injury report with a back issue in Week 3, when a scan revealed he was dealing with a small fracture. Pittman continued to play through the injury even though doctors informed him that his condition would likely worsen, though the wideout's upcoming tests will decide whether he's able to make a full recovery through extended rest and rehab, or if surgery will be necessary. Playing at less-than-full health in addition to lackluster quarterback play from Anthony Richardson (back) and Joe Flacco contributed to a down season for Pittman, whose 69-808-3 line on 111 targets represented a big step back from his career-best 2023 campaign (109-1,152-4 on 156 targets over 16 games).
Jan 5, 2025
Six grabs in OT win
Pittman caught six of 10 targets for 72 yards in Sunday's 26-23 overtime win over the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
It was another strong performance from Pittman, who benefitted from having Joe Flacco under center to close out the season rather than Anthony Richardson (back). Three of Pittman's four biggest yardage totals of 2024 came with Flacco at the helm of the Colts' offense, and the wideout closes the books on his fifth NFL campaign having posted a 69-808-3 line on 111 targets over 16 games, a big decline from 2023. Pittman is under contract through 2026 with $13 million of his 2025 salary already guaranteed, so Indy has little incentive to part ways with him in the offseason despite the difficulty he's had establishing chemistry with Richardson.
Dec 29, 2024
Breaks out with Flacco under center
Pittman caught nine of 10 targets for 109 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 45-33 loss to the Giants.
ANALYSIS
The nine grabs were a season high for Pittman, while the 109 yards were his highest total since Week 4 and the trip to the end zone was his first since Week 6. All those performances came with Joe Flacco under center instead of Anthony Richardson (back/foot), and with the Colts now eliminated from postseason contention, the team could elect to sit Richardson in Week 18 regardless. If Pittman gets to work with Flacco again in his final game of the season, he could deliver big numbers versus the Jaguars.
Dec 22, 2024
Two catches in Week 16 win
Pittman brought in two of three targets for 19 yards in the Colts' 38-30 win over the Titans on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman's final line was certainly disappointing, but the blame can hardly be blamed at the feet of the talented wideout considering Anthony Richardson threw only 11 times on the afternoon. Pittman's catch and yardage totals were his lowest since Week 9, while his target tally was a new season-low figure. Pittman could have a solid chance of boosting his numbers at least slightly in a favorable Week 17 road battle against the inconsistent Giants defense.
Dec 19, 2024
Practices fully Thursday
Pittman (back) practiced fully Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman didn't practice Wednesday as he continues to manage a back issue, but the wideout's full participation a day later sets the stage for him to be available to face the Titans on Sunday. Since missing the Colts' Week 10 loss to the Bills, Pittman has averaged 7.8 targets over the team's subsequent four contests and is coming off a six-catch, 58-yard effort in a Week 15 defeat against the Broncos, in which he logged nine targets.
Dec 19, 2024
At practice Thursday
Pittman (back) was spotted at practice Thursday, Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman didn't practice Wednesday, but his return to the field a day later suggests that his absence was maintenance-related. If the wideout is deemed a full participant in Thursday's session, the stage would be set for Pittman to be available Sunday against the Titans.
Dec 18, 2024
Misses Wednesday's practice
Pittman (back) didn't practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman logged a 96 percent snap share in Sunday's 31-13 loss to the Broncos, en route to catching six of his nine targets for 58 yards and lost a fumble. The wideout has been managing a back issue of late, so there's a chance that his absence from practice Wednesday was maintenance-related, rather than indicative of a setback. Either way, Thursday's injury report will provide added context with regard to Pittman's status for Sunday's game against the Titans.
Dec 15, 2024
Team-high six catches in Week 15
Pittman caught six of nine targets for 58 yards and lost a fumble in Sunday's 31-13 loss to the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
Pittman fumbled at the end of a six-yard catch in the third quarter, but he led the Colts in targets, catches and receiving yards. Josh Downs had only 32 yards on eight targets after missing one game due to a shoulder injury and Alec Pierce exited due to a concussion just before halftime. Pittman has at least seven targets in each of the past four games and should maintain a prominent role in the Colts' lackluster passing attack in Week 16 against the Titans.
Dec 1, 2024
Five grabs in Sunday's win
Pittman caught five of seven targets for 42 yards in Sunday's 25-24 win over the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Second-year QB Anthony Richardson completed only 12 passes on the day while attempting only 24, and Pittman was by far the Colts' leader in catches and receiving yards as a result despite his modest numbers. Since missing a Week 10 contest with back trouble, Pittman has been his usual stalwart self, posting a 16-184-0 line on 22 targets, but his TD drought now sits at six games. He'll look to find paydirt again on the other side of the Colts' Week 14 bye,
Nov 24, 2024
Leading receiver on seven targets
Pittman caught six of seven targets for 96 yards in Sunday's 24-6 loss to Detroit.
ANALYSIS
Pittman finished with the highest fantasy score of any receiver Sunday after neither side threw a passing touchdown. The 26-year-old has produced 41 receptions for 508 yards and two touchdowns across 11 games. A far cry from the 109-1,152-4 receiving line he posted over 16 games in 2023. Pittman should be considered a fringe fantasy option in standard formats heading into next Sunday's tilt against New England.
Nov 17, 2024
Five catches in return
Pittman caught five of eight targets for 46 yards in Sunday's 28-27 win over the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Pittman was more involved in his return from a one-game absence due to a back injury, which was preceded by a pair of one-catch performances. He has been eclipsed as the top option in the Colts passing game by Josh Downs, who had a touchdown catch among his team-high 84 receiving yards Sunday. Up next for Pittman is a Week 12 home game against a Detroit defense that has allowed plenty of yardage to wide receivers, in part because the 9-1 Lions have spent the vast majority of their season playing from ahead.
Nov 14, 2024
Practices fully Thursday
Pittman (back) practiced fully Thursday.
ANALYSIS
After missing his first game of the season this past Sunday against the Bills due to a back injury he's been managing as well as a finger issue, Pittman was listed as a full participant on Wednesday's practice estimate. With Pittman able to maintain that level of participation in Thursday's session, he's poised to return to action this weekend against the Jets after having evidently benefited from being held out of Week 10 action. Barring any in-game setbacks, Pittman should step back into a key role in the Colts' wideout corps, but with Anthony Richardson back as the team's starting QB, it's possible that Indianapolis' offense may tilt toward the running game versus New York.
Nov 13, 2024
Estimated as full practice participant
Pittman (back) was listed as a full participant on Wednesday's practice estimate.
ANALYSIS
The Colts held a walk-through Wednesday, with Pittman's listed full participation being a good indication that having the wideout sit out this past Sunday's loss to the Bills has helped his lingering back issue subside ahead of Week 11 action action. Look for added context on that front to arrive when the team practices Thursday, but at this stage it appears as though Pittman will be available this weekend versus the Jets, barring a setback. In other news Wednesday, head coach Shane Steichen announced that Anthony Richardson has been reinstalled as Indianapolis' starting quarterback.
Nov 8, 2024
Ruled out this week
Coach Shane Steichen noted Friday that Pittman (back/finger) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bills, Amanda Foster of the Colts' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman, who didn't participate in practice this week, is thus slated to miss his first game of the season Sunday. Per James Boyd of The Athletic, Steichen indicated Friday that Pittman is viewed as week-to-week, but at this stage the team is still not considering IR for the wideout. In Pittman's absence, Josh Downs and Alec Pierce are in line to lead the Colts' WR corps, with Ashton Dulin and Adonai Mitchell mixing in, while Anthony Gould is available in reserve.
Nov 8, 2024
Still not practicing
Pittman (back/finger) remained sidelined at practice Friday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman also missed Wednesday and Thursday's sessions, and his continued absence Friday doesn't bode well for his chances of playing Sunday against the Bills. If Pittman ends up being unavailable for the contest, the Colts' Week 10 wideout corps would be in line to be led by Josh Downs and Alec Pierce, with Ashton Dulin and Adonai Mitchell mixing in.
Nov 7, 2024
Not seen at Thursday's practice
Pittman (back, finger) wasn't spotted at Thursday's practice, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman didn't practice Wednesday, his norm since Week 6, so his absence a day later is notable. What the wideout -- who hasn't missed any games yet this season -- is able to do Friday, if anything, will thus be pivotal in terms of gauging the chances of him be able to continue to play through the back issue that he's been managing of late. The Colts face the Bills at 1:00 ET on Sunday.
Nov 6, 2024
Another Wednesday absence
Pittman (back) didn't practice Wednesday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Wednesday absences have been the norm for Pittman since Week 6 as he continues to manage a back issue, but the wideout has managed to suit up for all nine of the Colts' games to date. That said, head coach Shane Steichen acknowledged Wednesday, "obviously, (Pittman is) dealing with some stuff, but obviously we are trying to get him the ball as well, adding that the wideout "knows his body more than anyone. He's battling through it. He's showing the toughness, wants to be out there with his teammates. So we are just taking it week-by week." In this past Sunday's loss to the Vikings, Pittman logged a 76 percent snap share, while catching just one pass (for 14 yards on four targets) for the second straight game.
Nov 3, 2024
Just one catch in Week 9 loss
Pittman caught one of four targets for 14 yards in Sunday's 21-13 loss to the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Pittman was blanked on one first-half target and didn't see a substantial uptick in the second half. His quiet stat line was especially disappointing in the context of the Colts benching Anthony Richardson and starting Joe Flacco under center against the Vikings, as Pittman's pedestrian performance this season has been attributed in large part to Richardson's inaccuracy. After mustering at least 925 receiving yards in each of the previous three regular seasons, Pittman's on pace for only 691 receiving yards in 2024, with just 366 yards through nine games. Picking up the pace won't be easy in Week 10 against Buffalo's stout secondary.
Oct 31, 2024
Submits full practice
Pittman (back) was a full participant in Thursday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Pittman sat out Wednesday's session, but his ability to log every rep in practice a day later clears up any concern about his status heading into Sunday's contest versus the Vikings. After signing a three-year, $70 million extension with the Colts in March, Pittman has slumped to a 29-352-2 receiving line on 53 targets through the team's first eight games, but his fantasy outlook should be rosier moving forward after head coach Shane Steichen announced that Joe Flacco will replace Anthony Richardson as the starting quarterback. While Flacco made two starts and an extended appearance off the bench in place of an injured Richardson from Weeks 4 through 6, Pittman produced 14 catches for 185 yards and scored both of his touchdowns on the season.
Oct 31, 2024
Back at practice
Pittman (back) returned to practice Thursday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The same applies to fellow WR Josh Downs (toe), as the Colts continue to manage the duo's practice reps. Thursday's injury report will reveal Pittman's official participation level, but it's worth noting that a week ago he advanced to full participation after missing Wednesday's session.
Oct 30, 2024
Misses another Wednesday practice
Pittman (back) didn't practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
The same applies to Josh Downs (toe), though it's worth noting that the duo's practice reps have been managed of late, and that they both also missed the last three Wednesday practice sessions. Pittman -- who logged a 95 percent snap share in this past Sunday's 23-20 loss to Texans, en route to catching one of his six targets for 16 yards -- now has two more chances to upgrade to full participation ahead of this weekend's game against the Vikings. Assuming he's available for the contest, the wideout's fantasy prospects should be bolstered by the installation of Joe Flacco as the Colts' QB going forward.
Oct 27, 2024
More inefficiency with Richardson
Pittman secured one of six targets for 16 yards in the Colts' 23-20 loss to the Texans on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman struggled through another game with Anthony Richardson as his quarterback, finishing a very distant second to Josh Downs in receiving yards on the afternoon. Pittman has now finished under 40 receiving yards in three of the last four games, and he's therefore on track to finish with his lowest numbers across the board since his rookie 2020 campaign.
Oct 25, 2024
No Week 8 injury designation
Pittman (back) doesn't carry an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Texans.
ANALYSIS
After practicing fully Thursday, Pittman didn't practice Friday, but given that he heads into the weekend minus an injury designation, his non-participation was presumably maintenance-related as he continues to work through a back issue. With fellow WR Josh Downs (groin/toe) and top RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) also cleared for Week 8 action, the Colts offense is as healthy as it's been for some time as QB Anthony Richardson makes his second straight start after having missed time with an oblique injury. Through seven games to date, Pittman has compiled a 28/336/2 receiving line on 47 targets, a rate of production down from last season's pace, but still enough to merit fantasy lineup consideration.
Oct 25, 2024
Not practicing Friday
Pittman (back) wasn't participating in Friday's practice, Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
After missing Wednesday's practice, Pittman worked fully Thursday. However, Atkins suggests that the wideout's apparent non-participation Friday could be rest-related, rather than indicative of a setback with the back issue he's been working through. Either way, the Colts' upcoming injury report will reveal whether Pittman carries an injury designation in advance of Sunday's game against the Texans.
Oct 24, 2024
Puts in full practice
Pittman (back) was a full participant in Thursday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Last week, Pittman sandwiched missed practices Wednesday and Friday around a full session Thursday before playing in Sunday's 16-10 win over the Dolphins and finishing with three catches on 63 yards on five targets. He may be following a similar path this week, as he sat out Wednesday's session before logging every rep Thursday. The Colts will wait and see what Pittman is able to do during Friday's practice before determining whether he'll avoid a designation or take a questionable tag into this Sunday's matchup with the Texans.
Oct 24, 2024
Returns to practice
Pittman (back) participated in practice Thursday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman was listed as a non-participant in Wednesday's session, but his presence a day later suggests that the Colts may simply be managing the wideout's practice reps as he works through a back issue. The team's upcoming injury report will clarify Pittman's participation level in his return to practice Thursday.
Oct 23, 2024
Not practicing Wednesday
Pittman (back) was present but not participating in Wednesday's practice, Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
The same applies to fellow WR Josh Downs (toe), though Atkins points out that the duo also missed the last two Wednesday sessions for rest. Pittman has two more chances to practice ahead of Sunday's game against the Texans, but with no reported setbacks in the Colts' Week 7 win over Miami, we'd expect him to continue to work through his back issue this weekend.
Oct 20, 2024
Productive on low volume
Pittman caught three of five targets for 63 yards in Sunday's 16-10 win over the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
As expected. Pittman didn't see significant target volume with Anthony Richardson back under center for the Colts, but the wideout was able to make an impact with a 33-yard grab just before halftime and a 21-yard catch in the fourth quarter that each helped set up field goals. Pittman put together a 14-185-2 line on 22 targets over three games with Joe Flacco at the helm of the offense, but if he continues to show increased chemistry with Richardson on deep balls, he might be able to maintain that level of production.
Oct 20, 2024
Cleared to play Sunday
Pittman (back) is active for Sunday's game against the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
Pittman didn't practice Wednesday and Friday due to the back injury and was listed as questionable heading into the weekend, but a full session Thursday likely cleared up any lingering concern about his health heading into Sunday. Though Pittman is unlikely to face any restrictions with his snaps Sunday, the return of Anthony Richardson (oblique) to the lineup after missing the past two games could limit Pittman's fantasy appeal. While Richardson was healthy and played the entirety of Weeks 1 through 3, Pittman managed just 11 receptions for 88 yards and no touchdowns on 20 targets before he saw his production take off with Joe Flacco directing the offense for most of the past three contests.
Oct 20, 2024
Remains likely to play Sunday
Pittman (back) remains likely to play Sunday against the Dolphins, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
This isn't any different than what James Boyd of The Athletic reported Friday, but it's further confirmation that Pittman appears to be on the right side of the questionable tag ahead of Sunday's date with Miami. The Colts are going back to Anthony Richardson under center, which can't be viewed as a positive for Pittman's fantasy prospects after he posted receiving lines of 4-31-0, 3-21-0 and 4-36-0 across Weeks 1-3 with Richardson at the controls. Pittman has 100 yards and/or one touchdown in all three games with Joe Flacco. Pittman also figures to see a good dose of Jalen Ramsey on Sunday.
Oct 18, 2024
Likely to play Sunday, barring setback
Pittman, who is listed as questionable for Sunday's game versus the Dolphins, is expected to play this weekend as long as he doesn't have a setback with his back injury, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
After a back issue emerged for Pittman last week, there was a belief that he'd miss multiple weeks and perhaps even be placed on injured reserve. He was able to buck that report and suit up this past Sunday at Tennessee, logging a healthy 80 percent snap share and gathering in three of five targets for 35 yards and one touchdown. During Week 7 prep, Pittman sandwiched DNPs around a full practice Thursday, ultimately getting a questionable designation ahead of the weekend. Before Pittman was given that tag, though, coach Shane Steichen told Boyd, "Yeah, he'll be out there," in reference to the wide receiver's ability to suit up. A game-time decision thus seems likely for Pittman, and his status will be clarified about 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. If he's available, he'll be welcoming back franchise QB Anthony Richardson (oblique) for the first time since Week 4, and Pittman's usage could be impacted by the fact fellow WRs Josh Downs (toe) and Alec Pierce (shoulder) also are listed as questi
Oct 18, 2024
Questionable but expected to play
Pittman (back) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, but coach Shane Steichen said Friday that Pittman is expected to play, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman played through the back injury and caught the game-winning touchdown in this past Sunday's 20-17 win over the Titans. He didn't practice Wednesday or Friday but logged a full session Thursday in between. The wide receiver should continue to tough it out Sunday, but he's less than fully healthy and will be catching passes from Anthony Richardson (oblique) rather than Joe Flacco against a Dolphins secondary that has allowed only three touchdowns through the air this season.
Oct 18, 2024
Not practicing Friday
Pittman (back) was present but not participating in Friday's practice, according to Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star.
ANALYSIS
Pittman practiced fully Thursday, so it's possible that his non-participation Friday is rest-related rather than indicative of a setback. The Colts' upcoming injury report is thus slated to reveal the Week 7 game status of Pittman and fellow WRs Josh Downs (toe) and Alec Pierce (shoulder).
Oct 17, 2024
Full practice participant
Pittman (back) was a full practice participant Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman will continue playing through his back injury Sunday against the Dolphins, but his fantasy value takes a hit with Anthony Richardson expected to step back in ahead of Joe Flacco at quarterback. Pittman accounts for 31.9 percent of the targets from Richardson this year, but just 13 of those have been completed -- for 148 yards and no TDs -- and Pittman's share of the passing game has declined some since Josh Downs returned from an ankle injury Week 3. Pittman nonetheless had his three best fantasy scores of the season the past three weeks, benefitting from more passing volume and a higher completion rate with Flacco under center.
Oct 17, 2024
Back at practice
Pittman (back) is participating in Thursday's practice, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman is back at practice Thursday after having missed Wednesday's session, with the same going for fellow starting wideout Josh Downs (toe). During Indianapolis' win over the Titans in Week 6, Pittman played through his back injury and corralled three of five targets for 35 yards and a touchdown. It looks like Pittman will again attempt to play through his back issue Sunday versus Miami, a game in which Anthony Richardson should be back in the starting lineup.
Oct 16, 2024
Not practicing
Pittman (back) isn't practicing Wednesday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman played through the injury Sunday against the Titans, catching three of five targets for 35 yards and a touchdown while running routes on a team-high 84 percent of dropbacks. Reports last week suggested a stint on injured reserve was being considered, but it seems Pittman will try to play through his back injury for the time being. The Colts host the Dolphins this Sunday.
Oct 13, 2024
Records TD in win
Pittman secured three of five targets for 35 yards and a touchdown in the Colts' 20-17 win over the Titans on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman went from being reportedly considered for a stint on injured reserve due to a back injury early in the week to filling his usual No. 1 receiver role Sunday. While his catch and yardage totals left plenty to be desired, Pittman helped salvage the day for fantasy managers with a tough 10-yard-grab just past the midway point of the fourth quarter, a score that proved the difference in the game. Pittman will look to record a touchdown for the third consecutive contest when Indianapolis welcomes in the Dolphins in Week 7.
Oct 13, 2024
Gets green light to play Sunday
Pittman (back) is active for Sunday's game against the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Even though reports earlier this week suggested that Pittman's back injury would cost him multiple games -- and potentially result in his placement on injured reserve -- the wideout's condition evidently improved quicker than anticipated over the past few days. After sitting out practices Wednesday and Thursday, Pittman returned to the field Friday as a full participant en route to taking a questionable tag into the weekend. With Pittman experiencing no setbacks coming out of Friday's practice, he's now on track to handle his usual role as the Colts' No. 1 wideout Sunday. With Anthony Richardson (oblique) inactive as the Colts' emergency No. 3 quarterback for the second week in a row, Pittman will be on the receiving end of passes from veteran Joe Flacco, who draws another start. While Flacco took the majority of the snaps under center Weeks 4 and 5, Pittman put together a 11-150-1 receiving line on 17 targets, well ahead of the production he turned in from Weeks 1 through 3 with Richardson directing the offe
Oct 13, 2024
Expected to be active
Pittman (back) is expected to available Sunday against the Titans, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Rapoport, Pittman is dealing with a back issue that initially was thought to be something that could sideline the wideout multiple weeks. However, Pittman is trending toward active status, which will be confirmed either way once the Colts' inactives are posted ahead of Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff.
Oct 12, 2024
Travels with team, could play Week 6
Pittman (back) travelled with the rest of the Colts to Nashville, Tennessee on Saturday, and "odds of him playing seem good" ahead of Sunday's contest against the Titans, per Stephen Holder of ESPN.com.
ANALYSIS
This is excellent news for the Colts' passing game, as there were reports earlier this week that Pittman could miss multiple games due to his back injury. The wideout 's outlook improved considerably when he was able to log a full practice Friday following a pair of DNPs to begin the week, and Holder's latest report suggests that Pittman could be leaning on the promising side of his 'questionable' designation. Fellow wideout Josh Downs (toe) is also expected to play Sunday, and QB Anthony Richardson is likely to suit up as well, per Holder, so the team's offense could be in a decent position despite the absence of RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle) for a second straight week.
Oct 11, 2024
Questionable after full practice
Pittman (back) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Titans after returning to a full practice Friday.
ANALYSIS
Despite reports that Pittman could miss multiple weeks, the wideout has a chance to suit up this weekend, after all. Per Amanda Foster of the Colts' official site, Pittman noted Friday "everything is still on the table" in terms of his availability ahead of Week 6 action. Also listed as questionable after practicing fully Friday is Josh Downs (toe), with the duo's status versus Tennessee thus slated to be confirmed when the Colts' inactives are announced ahead of Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff.
Oct 11, 2024
Spotted at practice Friday
Pittman (back) was present for practice Friday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman was a non-participant both Wednesday and Thursday, so his presence on the field Friday is notable, considering previous reports that the wideout could miss multiple weeks with a back issue. Friday's final injury report is thus slated to reveal whether Pittman heads into the weekend with any chance of facing the Titans on Sunday.
Oct 10, 2024
Not practicing Thursday
Pittman (back) didn't participate in practice Thursday, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman, who didn't practice Wednesday, was an observer during Thursday's session, which is not surprising considering a report via James Boyd of The Athletic that the wideout's back injury could sideline him for multiple weeks. We'll await further context regarding Pittman's status from the Colts, but if he is forced to miss time, Alec Pierce and Adonai Mitchell would likely see added snaps alongside Josh Downs, provided a toe issue that caused Downs to miss practice Wednesday doesn't impact his Week 6 availability.
Oct 9, 2024
Could miss time with back injury
Pittman is dealing with a back injury that could sideline him multiple weeks, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Schefter, IR is a possibility for Pittman, who missed Wednesday's practice. If he indeed misses time, Josh Downs (toe) and Alec Pierce would be in line to lead the Colts' WR corps in his absence, with Adonai Mitchell and Ashton Dulin candidates for added snaps in that scenario.
Oct 9, 2024
DNP due to back Wednesday
Pittman (back) didn't participate in practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
The Colts put out a lengthy injury report Wednesday that included Pittman and Josh Downs (toe; DNP) at wide receiver, as well as Jonathan Taylor (ankle; DNP) and Trey Sermon (collarbone; DNP) and quarterback Anthony Richardson (oblique; LP). All of those players except Taylor and Richardson are new additions, so it wouldn't be surprising if Pittman and the others increased their practice participation as the week unfolds. Adding an injury to the mix is far from ideal from a fantasy perspective for Pittman considering he has a daunting Week 6 matchup against a stingy Titans secondary led by cornerback L'Jarius Sneed.
Oct 6, 2024
Salvages day with TD
Pittman brought in five of eight targets for 37 yards and a touchdown in the Colts' 37-34 loss to the Jaguars on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman finished third on the Colts in receptions for the afternoon, but he averaged a meager 7.4 yards per reception. Moreover, 27 of Pittman's yards came on a single reception, underscoring how suffocating the Jaguars' defense was when he had the ball. Nevertheless, Pittman still managed to make it a productive day for fantasy managers by recording his first touchdown of the season, a one-yard grab in the first quarter. The fifth-year pro has now been at Sunday's 37 receiving yards or fewer in four of his first five games, a matter he'll look to rectify at the expense of the Titans in a Week 6 road divisional clash.
Sep 29, 2024
Carves up Pittsburgh
Pittman recorded six receptions on nine targets for 113 yards in Sunday's 27-24 win over the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Pittman has had an underwhelming start to the season, at least in part due to the limited passing volume and accuracy issues of Anthony Richardson (hip). However, Pittman got involved early with Richardson still under center to tally long gains of 32 and 28 yards. Once Joe Flacco took over, Pittman settled into more of his typical role by working primarily underneath and relying on yards after the catch. That translated to his first game with over 100 yards on the campaign, and his outlook is trending up regardless of who is under center heading into a Week 5 matchup against Minnesota.
Sep 22, 2024
Four grabs against Chicago
Pittman caught four of five targets for 36 yards in Sunday's 21-16 win over the Bears.
ANALYSIS
The wideout led the Colts in catches, but once again his volume didn't lead to much production as Anthony Richardson continues to misfire on shorter passes. Pittman has 11 receptions on 20 targets through three games, but they've produced only 88 yards and zero TDs. He'll have a hard time breaking out in Week 4 against the Steelers.
Sep 22, 2024
Active versus Chicago
Pittman (back/calf) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Though Pittman was listed as questionable for the contest after being held out of Friday's practice with listed back and calf issues, coach Shane Steichen indicated that the wideout should be able to play Sunday. With his active status confirmed, Pittman is in line to continue to work as a key target for QB Anthony Richardson, in the absence of any limitations or in-game setbacks. Over his first two contests, Pittman -- who recorded 109 catches in 16 regular-season outings in 2023 -- has caught seven of his team-high 15 targets for 52 yards. Also in the Colts' Week 3 WR mix are Josh Downs, who is back in action after a two-game absence, as well as Alec Pierce and Adonai Mitchell.
Sep 21, 2024
Expected to suit up Sunday
Pittman (back/calf) is likely to play in Sunday's Week 3 clash against the Bears, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman sat out Friday's practice due to injuries to his back and calf, and he was deemed questionable on the Colts' final injury report of the week. However, coach Shane Steichen said he believed the wideout would be able to suit up for Sunday's contest, and that appears to be coming to pass. Pittman's status will be confirmed about 90 minutes prior to Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.
Sep 20, 2024
Questionable for Week 3
Pittman (back/calf) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bears.
ANALYSIS
The Colts tacked on Pittman to their final Week 3 practice report with back and calf injuries, which kept him out of drills Friday. Still, coach Shane Steichen told Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star that Pittman should be able to play Sunday, something that would be confirmed about 90 minutes before a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. Assuming he's active, Pittman will be welcoming back fellow wide receiver Josh Downs (ankle) to the lineup, which may eat into the former's target share from quarterback Anthony Richardson.
Sep 20, 2024
Managing injuries ahead of Week 3
Pittman is working through back and calf issues, but coach Shane Steichen thinks that the wideout will be available Sunday against the Bears, Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman was held out of Friday's practice, per James Boyd of The Athletic, and now the reason for his non-participation has been clarified. Friday's final injury report will reveal whether Pittman heads into the weekend with a Week 3 injury designation.
Sep 20, 2024
Not practicing Friday
Pittman (undisclosed) isn't participating in Friday's practice, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Per, Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star, Pittman -- who practiced fully Wednesday and Thursday -- was present for Friday's session. There's a chance that the Colts are giving the wideout a rest day, with further context regarding his Week 3 status set to arrive once the team's injury report is posted.
Sep 15, 2024
Three catches in loss
Pittman brought in three of seven targets for 21 yards in the Colts' 16-10 loss to the Packers on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman tied Alec Pierce for the team led in targets and even had the Colts' second-most receptions, but as his final line indicates, he did little with them. The possession receiver has had trouble establishing much rapport with Anthony Richardson through his first two games despite his past success with multiple other quarterbacks, mustering only seven receptions for 52 yards on 15 targets over the first pair of contests. Pittman will aim to turn around the slow start in a Week 3 home matchup against a tough Bears defense.
Sep 8, 2024
Four grabs in loss to Houston
Pittman caught four of eight targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 29-27 loss to the Texans.
ANALYSIS
The fifth-year wideout led the Colts in catches and targets, but Pittman wasn't able to do much with the volume as his longest reception went for only 13 yards. Anthony Richardson and the Colts' passing game struggled to sustain drives in the team's opener, but Pittman's role is encouraging for his future production. He'll look to do more damage in Week 2 against the Packers.
Aug 22, 2024
One catch in dress rehearsal
Pittman caught one of two targets for 12 yards in Thursday's 27-14 preseason win over the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
Pittman's lone catch came on the first drive, but he couldn't get anything else going as Anthony Richardson went cold on the next few drives and Pittman dropped his only other target. The Colts are likely to be more effective on the ground than through the air given Richardson's rushing ability and the presence of star running back Jonathan Taylor, but Pittman projects to remain the top dog in a receiving corps that also includes rookie second-round pick Adonai Mitchell, Josh Downs (ankle) and Alec Pierce. Pittman will begin the regular season Sept. 8 against a Texans team that held him to two of his six lowest single-game yardage totals in 2023.
Aug 22, 2024
In line to see snaps Thursday
Coach Shane Steichen relayed earlier this week that the Colts plan to play their starters -- a group that would include Pittman -- for about a quarter and a half in Thursday's preseason finale against the Bengals, JJ Stankevitz of the team's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The Colts rested key skill players this past Saturday against the Cardinals, but Steichen wants to see regulars like Pittman get some snaps in Thursday before giving way to the team's reserves. As the coming season approaches, Pittman remains the clear-cut top option in Indy's WR corps, a high volume role that yielded him a 109/1,152/4 receiving line in 16 regular-season games in 2023.
Aug 15, 2024
Not slated to play Saturday
Coach Shane Steichen said Thursday that Pittman won't suit up for Saturday's preseason game versus the Cardinals, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Along with Pittman, the rest of the Colts' starters and No. 2 signal-caller Joe Flacco won't be available for the team's second exhibition. Assuming Josh Downs (ankle) also doesn't play, Indy's available wide receivers figure to be rookie second-rounder Adonai Mitchell, Alec Pierce and Ashton Dulin (hamstring, if available), among others. In four pro seasons to date, Pittman has two 1,000-yard tallies on his resume, and he's posted 14 receiving touchdowns in 49 regular-season contests the last three campaigns.
Aug 11, 2024
One target in preseason opener
Pittman didn't catch his only target in Sunday's 34-30 preseason loss to the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
Pittman was the only wide receiver to earn a target from starting quarterback Anthony Richardson, as Richardson's other three passes during his two-drive stint in the game were all directed to tight ends. After racking up 296 catches for 3,159 yards and 14 touchdowns over the past three seasons, Pittman heads into 2024 as the clear No. 1 option in the Colts' passing game. He and the starters could see more action Saturday against the Cardinals in Indianapolis' next preseason game.
Jul 25, 2024
Participating in camp
Pittman (knee) participated in Thursday's training camp practice, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
ANALYSIS
With Pittman past a minor knee issue that he encountered during OTAs, the 26-year-old worked with the Colts' first-team offense (alongside fellow WRs Josh Downs and Alec Pierce) Thursday. As the coming campaign approaches, Pittman is slated to reprise his role as a primary target in an Indy passing attack that will be helmed by promising second-year QB Anthony Richardson. In 16 regular-season contests in 2023, Pittman caught 109 of his 156 targets for 1,152 yards and four TDs. It remains to be seen if the pace of Pittman's volume from last year is sustainable, but it's nonetheless reasonable to expect the 2020 second-rounder to continue to garner enough targets to maintain weekly fantasy utility in 2024.
May 22, 2024
Knee issue downplayed
Coach Shane Steichen said Wednesday that Pittman (knee) "should be fine" after he left the practice field early, Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis reports.
ANALYSIS
Steichen said Pittman "just bumped knees" during 11-on-11 drills. The Colts have no incentive to rush Pittman, who's fresh off signing a three-year, $70 million extension, back on the field, so it's possible he misses more of OTAs. Still, the No. 1 wideout ought to have plenty of opportunities to build chemistry with second-year quarterback Anthony Richardson this offseason, as long as his knee injury is indeed only minor. Pittman managed a 109-1152-4 receiving line across 16 games last season despite substandard QB play, so having a healthy Richardson back under center should raise his fantasy ceiling.
May 22, 2024
Departs practice after collision
Pittman (knee) departed Wednesday's practice early after appearing to injure his knee during a collision in 11-on-11 drills, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman was examined by trainers before limping off the field, and it seems safe to say that his on-field activities for Wednesday's session are over. It shouldn't be long until the Colts release an update about the No. 1 wideout's health, as he's entrenched as the focal point of the passing game after signing a three-year, $70 million contract earlier this offseason. In the meantime, Anthony Richardson will be able to focus on developing chemistry with Josh Downs, Adonai Mitchell and Alec Pierce.
Mar 11, 2024
Inking three-year extension
Pittman has agreed to a three-year deal to remain with the Colts, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
The team had previously placed its franchise tag on Pittman, but evidently since then the two sides have been working toward a long-term deal. Per Rapoport, the wideout's looming new contract can reach up to $71.5 million and includes $46 million guaranteed. The 26 year-old is coming off a 2023 regular season in which he posted a career-high 109/1,152/4 receiving line on 156 targets in 16 games. With Pittman staying in the fold in 2024 and beyond, the Colts have secured valuable stability at the wide receiver position, a context that will no doubt benefit the development of young franchise QB Anthony Richardson (shoulder).
Mar 5, 2024
Franchise tagged by Colts
Indianapolis have placed the franchise tag on Pittman ahead of Tuesday's 4:00 p.m. ET deadline, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
General manager Chris Ballard made clear earlier this offseason that Pittman wouldn't go anywhere, and the franchise tag positions him to play out the 2024 campaign on a fully guaranteed one-year, $21.87 million contract if no long-term alternative is agreed upon. The Colts and Pittman will have until mid-July to continue negotiating a multi-year extension, and the team may well be viewing the franchise tag as a bridge to continue talks. For 2024, at the very least, Pittman's presence will provide young franchise quarterback Anthony Richardson (shoulder) with some stability and a reliable No. 1 target in the receiving game, even if Indianapolis doesn't significantly upgrade their pass-catching corps. Pittman compiled a career-best 109-1,152-4 receiving line on 156 targets in 2023, and his fantasy prospects could improve for 2024 with the promise of flashier quarterback play for a full season.
Feb 28, 2024
Not going anywhere, per Colts
General manager Chris Ballard said Wednesday at the NFL Scouting Combine that Pittman will be on Indianapolis' roster Week 1 of the 2024 season, whether via contract extension or the franchise tag, Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman is approaching free agency for the first time in his NFL career, but it sounds like the Colts don't plan to allow him a true chance to explore the open market. Indianapolis has until March 5's deadline to decide whether to place the franchise tag on Pittman, which would provide him with a one-year $21.8 million salary for 2024, but it sounds like the team would prefer a long-term extension. The Colts haven't actually used the franchise tag since 2013, and Pittman himself has said he'd prefer a multi-year contract, per Stephen Holder of ESPN. "I do not want to play out a tag," Pittman said, "but you can use that to work towards a long-term deal as well."
Jan 7, 2024
Leads team with five catches
Pittman corralled five of six targets for 44 yards in Saturday's 23-19 loss to the Texans.
ANALYSIS
Those deploying Pittman in fantasy were unfortunately charged with a lost fumble on the final play of regulation when the Colts were attempting to return a kickoff using multiple laterals. Indianapolis' top wideout still led the club in catches Saturday, ending his 2023 campaign with a new career high of 109 receptions over 16 games. Pittman also set a new high-water mark in yards this year (1,152), but his four touchdowns fell short of the six he scored in 2021. The USC product picked an excellent time to set new career marks, as he will enter the upcoming offseason as an unrestricted free agent.
Dec 31, 2023
Team-high five grabs Sunday
Pittman caught five of seven targets for 46 yards in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
The Indy passing attack took a back seat to Jonathan Taylor and the ground game, but Pittman still led the team in catches and targets. The fourth-year wideout set new career highs in receptions (104) and receiving yards (1,108) on the season in the process, and with the Colts locked in a three-way tie atop the AFC South, Pittman may need to come up big in Week 18 against the Texans.
Dec 31, 2023
Suiting up Sunday
Pittman (concussion/shoulder) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
Pittman -- who cleared the NFL's concussion protocol Friday -- logged full practices both Thursday and Friday but was still listed as questionable by the Colts ahead of Sunday's contest. With his active status confirmed, the team's top pass catcher is poised to reclaim his key role in the Indianapolis offense. In the 14 games he's suited up for this season, Pittman has racked up a fantasy-friendly 99 catches on 143 targets for 1,062 yards and four TDs.

Expected to suit up Sunday
Pittman (concussion/shoulder) is slated to play in Sunday's contest against the Raiders, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman has had a winding road through the concussion protocol, getting removed from it before a Week 16 matchup with the Falcons, returning to it after reporting symptoms following the trip to Atlanta and clearing it again this Friday. Still, the Colts made the decision to list him as questionable for Week 17 action just in case. Pittman did tell JJ Stankevitz of the Colts' official site that he feels "great" and "should be ready to roll" this weekend, something that'll be confirmed, one way or another, approximately 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.
Dec 29, 2023
Listed as questionable, should play
Pittman (concussion/shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders after logging full practices Thursday and Friday.
ANALYSIS
Per JJ Stankevitz of the Colts' official site, Pittman -- who says he feels "great" at this stage -- cleared the NFL's concussion protocol Friday and "should be ready to roll," head coach Shane Steichen noted with regard to the wideout's status for this weekend's game. Fortunately for those planning to use Pittman in Week 17 fantasy lineups, the Colts kick off at 1:00 ET on Sunday, but barring any unexpected setbacks, he should be back after being inactive for the team's Week 16 loss to the Falcons.
Dec 29, 2023
Clears concussion protocol
Pittman (concussion/shoulder) has cleared the NFL's concussion protocol and is in line to play against the Raiders on Sunday, barring any setbacks, Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
The Colts' final injury report of the week will confirm whether Pittman approaches the contest with a designation or fully cleared to face Las Vegas, but at this stage it appears as though the team's top pass catcher will return to the lineup following a one-game absence.
Dec 28, 2023
Logs full practice
Pittman (concussion/shoulder) was listed as a full practice participant Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Per James Boyd of The Athletic, Pittman wasn't sporting a non-contact jersey Thursday, which suggests the wideout is progressing well ahead of Sunday's game against the Raiders. The Colts haven't yet indicated that Pittman has been removed from concussion protocol, as the wideout may still need to receive clearance from an independent neurologist before getting the green light to play Sunday. More clarity on Pittman's status should come when head coach Shane Steichen speaks to the media Friday.
Dec 28, 2023
Practicing Thursday
Pittman (concussion/shoulder) participated in practice Thursday, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's practice estimate, so his continued presence on the field a day later bodes well for his chances of suiting up Sunday against the Raiders, especially given that Boyd notes that the wideout wasn't sporting a non-contact jersey. The Colts' upcoming injury report is slated to reveal Pittman's official participation level in Thursday's session.
Dec 27, 2023
Limited on estimate Wednesday
Pittman (concussion/shoulder) was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's practice estimate.
ANALYSIS
Pittman remains in the NFL's five-step concussion protocol and will need to upgrade to full participation either Thursday or Friday to have a chance at gaining clearance for Sunday's game against the Raiders. Still, limited participation in Wednesday's walk-through is certainly better than a no-show for the Colts' No. 1 receiver, who passed concussion protocol last Friday but sat out last week's loss to the Falcons after his symptoms resurfaced Saturday.
Dec 27, 2023
Remains in protocol Wednesday
Coach Shane Steichen confirmed Wednesday that Pittman (concussion/shoulder) remains in concussion protocol, George Bremer of CNHI Sports Indiana reports.
ANALYSIS
Steichen added that Pittman's "progressing well," but the coach had similar sentiments heading into the Colts' previous game before Pittman's symptoms resurfaced Saturday and forced him to sit out the 29-10 Week 16 loss to the Falcons. Pittman will have to clear concussion protocol to have a chance to play Sunday against the Raiders in a pivotal game for the 8-7 Colts' playoff hopes.
Dec 23, 2023
Concussion symptoms return, out Sunday
Pittman (concussion/shoulder) was downgraded to out for Sunday's game in Atlanta.
ANALYSIS
Pittman was on the receiving end of a big hit from Steelers safety Damontae Kazee in the second quarter of last Saturday's game and was unable to return. While he cleared the concussion protocol as of Friday, Pittman still entered the weekend as questionable for Week 16 action. After he reported a recurrence of symptoms Saturday, though, he's back in the protocol for head injuries, which he'll be subject to in order to be able to play again this season.
Dec 22, 2023
Questionable with shoulder issue
Pittman (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Falcons after logging a limited practice Friday.
ANALYSIS
Per Raven Moore of the Colts' official site, Pittman cleared the NFL's concussion concussion protocol Friday, but the team's top wide receiver is still dealing with a shoulder issue ahead of Week 16 action, so his status will need to be verified ahead of Sunday's 1:00 ET kickoff. If Pittman ends up limited or out this weekend, added pass-catching opportunities would be available for Josh Downs, Alec Pierce and D.J. Montgomery.
Dec 22, 2023
Set to play Sunday
Coach Shane Steichen confirmed Friday that Pittman has cleared the NFL's concussion protocol and will be available Sunday against the Falcons, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
After being listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's practice estimate, Pittman worked fully Thursday. Now that he's gained clearance to face Atlanta, Pittman is in line to continue to lead the Colts' WR corps in Week 16, a role in which the 2020 second-rounder has produced a fantasy-friendly 99/1,062/4 receiving line on 143 targets through 14 games to date this season.
Dec 22, 2023
Close to clearing protocol
Pittman is nearing the end of concussion protocol, and it's expected to be revealed Friday whether or not he has cleared the protocol, which will determine his eligibility for Sunday's game against the Falcons, Nate Atkins of IndyStar reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman went through a full contact practice Thursday, clearing a major hurdle in the recovery process after leaving last week's game due to a concussion. If he's cleared to suit up Sunday, Pittman should reprise his role as Gardner Minshew's top target in a game that could prove crucial for the 8-6 Colts' playoff hopes. Pittman's status will be revealed when the Colts post their Week 16 injury report Friday.
Dec 21, 2023
Practices fully Thursday
Pittman (concussion) was listed as a full participant at Thursday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Per Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis, Pittman still needs to gain clearance from an independent neurologist in order to suit up Sunday against the Falcons. However, Pittman looks to be trending toward playing this weekend, especially after he was cleared to take contact in Thursday's practice, according to James Boyd of The Athletic.
Dec 20, 2023
Limited on Wednesday's estimate
Pittman (concussion) was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's practice estimate.
ANALYSIS
Pittman participating in any fashion is an encouraging sign, though he will need to return to full participation at some point to clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol after exiting in the first half of Saturday's win over the Steelers. He'll have two chances to log a full practice before Sunday's game against the Falcons, as the Colts will retake the practice field Thursday and Friday following Wednesday's walkthrough.
Dec 17, 2023
Doing 'good' in concussion recovery
Head coach Shane Steichen confirmed Sunday that Pittman is in concussion protocol and added that the wideout is "doing good" and will be monitored throughout the week leading up to the Colts' Week 16 game against the Falcons, George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman sustained the concussion midway through the second quarter of Saturday's 30-13 win over the Steelers, when he took the brunt of a helmet-to-helmet hit by Pittsburgh safety Damontae Kazee, who broke up the intended pass. The Colts ruled Pittman out for the game shortly thereafter, with the wideout finishing with four catches for 78 yards on five targets. Pittman will benefit from having seven days rather than the typical six days in between games to potentially clear the five-step protocol, but if he's not available for the matchup with the Falcons, the Colts will be left with Josh Downs, Alec Pierce and D.J. Montgomery as their projected starting receivers.
Dec 16, 2023
Concussion confirmed
Pittman suffered a concussion during Saturday's contest against the Steelers and won't return, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
This comes as no surprise after Pittman took a huge hit from Steelers safety Damontae Kazee in the middle of the second quarter that resulted in the latter's ejection from the game. Pittman now will be subject to the protocol for head injuries in order be cleared for action again, with the Colts' next game coming Sunday, Dec. 24 in Atlanta. As for the rest of Saturday's outing, Josh Downs, Alec Pierce, D.J. Montgomery and Ethan Fernea are the team's other active wideouts.
Dec 16, 2023
Getting concussion check
Pittman is under evaluation for a concussion during Saturday's game versus Pittsburgh, Dale Lolley of the Steelers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman was on the receiving end of a massive hit from Steelers safety Damontae Kazee in the middle of the second quarter and remained on the turf for a spell before making his way to the locker room. If he's diagnosed with a concussion, Pittman will be subject to the protocol for head injuries in order to be cleared for future game action. With Pittman sidelined, Josh Downs, Alec Pierce, D.J. Montgomery and Ethan Fernea are Indianapolis' other active wide receivers.
Dec 10, 2023
Stays busy in Week 14 loss
Pittman brought in eight of 11 targets for 95 yards in the Colts' 34-14 loss to the Bengals on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman put together a signature performance that saw him once again serve as the busiest pass catcher on the Colts. The fourth-year pro led the team across the board in three major receiving categories, and he's now posted at least eight receptions in six straight games. Pittman will head into a Week 15 Saturday afternoon matchup against the Steelers just five receptions away from his first 100-reception campaign, as well as only 16 yards short of his second 1,000-yard season.
Dec 3, 2023
Commands 16 more targets
Pittman recorded 11 receptions on 16 targets for 105 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-28 overtime win over the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Pittman saw a season-high 16 targets and managed double-digit looks for the eighth time in 12 contests. He also managed his second consecutive 100-yard performance despite his longest gain going for only 14 yards. As is appropriate given Pittman's heavy involvement in the Colts' offense, he also caught a four-yard touchdown pass to win the game in overtime. While he may not have the same ceiling as the most elite pass catchers in the league, Pittman now has at least eight receptions in five straight games and has a very safe floor.
Nov 26, 2023
Another busy day in win
Pittman brought in 10 of 13 targets for 107 yards in the Colts' 27-20 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman led the Colts in receptions and receiving yards while tying for the team lead in targets. The sure-handed wideout's yardage total was his second highest of the season and marked his second time eclipsing the 100-yard mark on the campaign. The 26-year-old has no fewer than eight catches in four consecutive contests going into a Week 13 road matchup against the Titans.
Nov 12, 2023
Targeted 12 times in win
Pittman recorded eight receptions on 12 targets for 84 yards in Sunday's 10-6 win over the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
As the score indicates, neither offense had much success getting the ball into the end zone, but Pittman still had a productive day. He accounted for two of the Colts' seven longest plays from scrimmage with receptions of 14 and 13 yards, helping him to his highest yardage total since Week 6. Pittman now has eight catches in three consecutive games and should remain Gardner Minshew's top target coming out of their Week 11 bye.
Nov 5, 2023
Leading receiver in easy win
Pittman caught all eight of his targets for 64 yards in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Panthers.
ANALYSIS
The Colts never trailed in the game and led 20-3 at halftime, so there was little need for Gardner Minshew to air it out, but Pittman was his top option on the day and paced Indianapolis in catches, targets and receiving yards. Per Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star, Pittman exited the game in the second quarter to be checked for a concussion but quickly returned. The fourth-year wideout has caught at least eight passes in three of the last four games and six of nine on the season, putting him on track for the first campaign of his career with triple-digit receptions. Pittman should be productive again in Week 10 against a Patriots secondary that just gave up a combined 9-142-1 line on 15 targets to the Washington duo of Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson.
Oct 29, 2023
Busy day in Week 8 loss
Pittman brought in eight of 13 targets for 40 yards and a touchdown in the Colts' 38-27 loss to the Saints on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman was in the familiar position of leading the Colts in receptions and targets, although his five yards per catch qualified as a season-low figure. Pittman also recorded his second touchdown in as many games when he found the end zone from 10 yards out in the first quarter, and he's now logged double-digit targets on five occasions thus far. Pittman should remain similarly busy in a Week 9 road battle against the Panthers.
Oct 22, 2023
Saves day with long score
Pittman recorded two receptions on five targets for 83 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 39-38 loss to the Browns.
ANALYSIS
Pittman had limited involvement in the offense, as he matched his season-low in targets. He was held to only eight yards through 54 minutes of the contest, though he found a seam in the middle of the Cleveland secondary and broke a few tackles to record a 75-yard touchdown catch late in the fourth quarter. Pittman entered the game with double-digit targets in four of six games, though the emergence of Josh Downs could make his volume a bit more volatile moving forward.
Oct 15, 2023
Eclipses century mark in loss
Pittman brought in nine of 14 targets for 109 yards in the Colts' 37-20 loss to the Jaguars on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman led the Colts pass catchers in all major receiving categories with numbers that either tied or established new season highs. The dependable fourth-year pro now has recorded at least eight catches in four of his first six games, and following Sunday's prolific output, it's clear he already has plenty of chemistry with Gardner Minshew. Pittman's next opportunity to build on his impressive start to the campaign comes in a tough home matchup versus the Browns in Week 7.
Oct 8, 2023
Manages 52 yards
Pittman recorded five receptions on seven targets for 52 yards in Sunday's 23-16 win over the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Pittman led the Colts in targets but was overshadowed by a big performance from Josh Downs. Positively, he did manage a 27-yard catch late in the third quarter -- his third reception of at least 20 yards this season -- that helped set up a field goal to extend the team's lead. Even so, after delivering a minimum of eight catches in Indianapolis' first three games, Pittman has combined to record only six receptions for 67 yards across the last two contests.
Oct 1, 2023
Just one catch
Pittman secured one of five targets for 15 yards during Sunday's 29-23 overtime loss to the Rams.
ANALYSIS
After starting the year with three straight games with double-digit targets, the Rams kept rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson mostly in check until the fourth quarter, which left little opportunity for any Colts' receiver to produce. Despite tying for the team lead in targets, Pittman could only come down with catch, albeit one that helped lead the Colts to their second touchdown of the game. Despite the poor outing, Pittman still boasts a respectable 26-245-1 line through four games and is the clear top option in the Colts' receiving corps. The veteran wideout will look to bounce back in Week 5 against the Titans.
Sep 24, 2023
Sees 11 more targets
Pittman recorded nine catches on 11 targets for 77 yards in Sunday's 22-19 overtime win over the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
Pittman led the team in receptions and yards, while also drawing double-digit targets for the third consecutive game to begin the season. His stat line was modest given the volume, though he still accounted for long gains of 34 and 13 yards. As his stat lines have indicated to this point, Pittman doesn't have the highest upside, but he has a locked-in role in the Colts' offense and is particularly trustworthy in PPR-scoring formats.
Sep 17, 2023
Eight catches in Week 2 win
Pittman secured eight of 12 targets for 56 yards in the Colts' 31-20 win over the Texans on Sunday. He also committed a fumble that was recovered by Indianapolis.
ANALYSIS
Pittman led the Colts in receptions and receiving yards on a day when Anthony Richardson (concussion) and Gardner Minshew spread the ball around to eight different targets. Pittman has been as busy as expected over the first two games, recording 16 receptions for 153 yards and a touchdown on 23 targets. He'll look to keep up his strong start with either Richardson or Minshew under center in a Week 3 road matchup against the Ravens.
Sep 10, 2023
Finds end zone in Sunday's loss
Pittman caught eight of 11 targets for 97 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-21 loss to the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson quickly realized Pittman was his most reliable option, leaning on him heavily with the game on the line in the fourth quarter, and no other Colts player managed more than 39 receiving yards on the afternoon -- a total Pittman matched on a single play, when he took a third-quarter screen pass 39 yards to the end zone. Richardson left Sunday's loss late with a bruised knee, but whether the 2023 fourth overall pick is under center in Week 2 or gets replaced by Gardner Minshew, Pittman will be a big part of the Indy game plan against the Texans.
Aug 24, 2023
Targeted five times
Pittman caught two of his team-high five targets for 24 yards in Thursday's 27-13 preseason win over the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Pittman accounted for five of the 16 targets from Anthony Richardson, who completed only six of 17 passes for 78 yards. The rookie may do wonders for a rushing game that appears highly unlikely to have RB Jonathan Taylor, but Richardson doesn't figure to do much for Pittman's production. The good news is that he's locked in as the top option in the passing game ahead of a Week 1 matchup with Jacksonville, and there's potential for better stats as Richardson develops or if he really hones in on Pittman as his go-to guy.
Aug 12, 2023
Cleared for action
Pittman (hip) had one reception (three targets) for nine yards in Saturday's preseason loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Pittman was dealing with a hip injury during camp, so his availability for Saturday's tilt bodes well for his health heading into the regular season. The 25-year-old will be a starter for the Colts this season, but it is still unclear who will be throwing him the ball (which could affect his fantasy value). Rookie Anthony Richardson started Saturday's game, but he made a couple rookie mistakes including an interception. Veteran Gardner Minshew might be the preferred starter for those investing in Pittman, as his production is easier to project week-to-week compared to a 21-year-old raw prospect.
Jul 26, 2023
Takes first-team reps to open camp
Pittman (hip) handled first-team reps during Wednesday's first practice of training camp, Jake Arthur of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It's been reported that the Colts intend to ease Pittman, who missed time during spring work due to a hip injury, back into action, but he was able to get some team work in on the first day of camp. The 2020 second-round pick has said he feels 100 percent healthy, so it looks like there's zero concern about his status for Week 1 even if Indianapolis does opt to ramp up his workload. Being available for all of training camp will be key for Pittman as he works to build chemistry with new quarterbacks Gardner Minshew and Anthony Richardson.
Jul 25, 2023
Will be eased back into action
The Colts plan to ease Pittman (hip) back into action this summer, Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman missed some time during spring work, and coach Shane Steichen indicated at the time that it wasn't serious. Pittman says he's 100 percent recovered, but the team is going to slow-play it with him before letting their No. 1 receiver cut it loose. Pittman's status for Week 1 isn't in jeopardy at the moment.
Jun 2, 2023
Managing hip issue
Pittman didn't participate at Friday's practice due to a hip injury, George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin reports.
ANALYSIS
Head coach Shane Steichen indicated it's not a serious issue, saying the injury is "nothing crazy." Pittman appears as though he'll be ready for the start of training camp, which is nearly two months away. The 25-year-old led the Colts last season 99 receptions for 925 yards and four touchdowns, and he'll remain the No. 1 wideout for 2023 while entering a contract year.
May 18, 2023
Not focused on extensions
Pittman recently told reporters he isn't worried about his contract and is letting his agent handle extension talks, Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports. "If it doesn't happen this year, that's no big deal," Pittman said. "It'll happen eventually, right?"
ANALYSIS
The 2020 second-round pick doesn't seem to have a holdout in mind for his contract year after a disappointing 2022 for both him personally and the Indianapolis offense as a whole. The team now has a new coaching staff and two new QBs, with Gardner Minshew and fourth overall pick Anthony Richardson expected to compete for the Week 1 start. Pittman drew 60 more targets than any of his teammates in 2021 (129) and 50 more in 2022 (141), making him a huge favorite to lead the Colts in receiving again after the team's most notable offseason additions at WR were a rookie third-round pick (Josh Downs) and a 28-year-old who got less than $500,000 guaranteed on his contract (Isaiah McKenzie). The Colts also parted ways with Parris Campbell, who finished second on the team in targets and receiving last year and whose presence may have blocked Pittman from getting more slot snaps.
Jan 8, 2023
Touchdown grab to close out season
Pittman secured three of five targets for 30 yards in the Colts' 32-31 loss to the Texans on Sunday. He also rushed once for no gain and recovered a fumble.
ANALYSIS
Pittman was able to finish a solid third season by recording a touchdown grab for a second consecutive game on a one-yard catch late in the first quarter to open the scoring for the Colts. Pittman finished a campaign that was marred by a revolving door of mostly pedestrian quarterback play for the Colts just one reception short of 100, but he did cross the 900-yard threshold and also tallied four touchdowns. The 2020 second-round pick is heading into the final year of his rookie contract, and given his impressive body of work over the first three years of his career, it remains to be seen if he and the club talk contract extension this offseason.
Jan 1, 2023
Finds end zone in lopsided loss
Pittman secured six of eight targets for 41 yards and a touchdown in the Colts' 38-10 loss to the Giants on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman led the Colts in receptions and targets while checking in second in receiving yardage. The sure-handed receiver's six-yard scoring grab late in the third quarter served as the only touchdown of the day for Indianapolis, and his production on the day left him just four receptions short of the 100-catch mark for the season, as well as five yards shy of the 900-yard threshold. Pittman has just three touchdowns overall in 2022, so he'll look to improve on that tally in a Week 18 home matchup against the Texans.
Dec 26, 2022
Limited to 39 yards by Chargers
Pittman recorded four receptions on seven targets for 39 yards in Monday's 20-3 loss to the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Pittman led the Colts with seven targets with Nick Foles under center, though he struggled to produce until late in the game. The majority of his production came with four minutes remaining in the fourth quarter on a 19-yard reception -- his only double-digit gain of the contest. Though Pittman has operated as the centerpiece of the Colts' passing attack, he has surpassed 70 receiving yards in only four of 15 games for the season.
Dec 17, 2022
Racks up 10 catches in OT loss
Pittman caught 10 of 14 targets for 60 yards and rushed twice for 30 yards in Saturday's 39-36 overtime loss to the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Pittman caught a lucky break in the second quarter, as the officials ruled that his forward progress was stopped at the end of a short catch, negating what would have been a fumble returned for a touchdown by the Vikings defense. He was the only Colts player to record more than two catches in a game that saw the team build up a 33-0 halftime lead, only to watch it slip away in the second half. Pittman remained the featured option through the air in overtime, contributing 24 yards on three catches, but the Colts ultimately punted on their only drive of OT before the Vikings won it with a field goal. Another boatload of short targets likely awaits Pittman in Week 16 against the Chargers.
Dec 5, 2022
Held in check on SNF
Pittman was held to 16 yards on two receptions (four targets) in Sunday's 54-19 blowout loss to the Cowboys.
ANALYSIS
Pittman was unable to build off of last week's strong fantasy line, instead producing his worst point total of the 2022 campaign. Matt Ryan played exceptionally poorly against Dallas' vaunted pass rush, so it's tough to put any blame on the receivers in this blowout loss. The third-year wideout still owns a respectable 76/755/2 line through 12 games despite having subpar quarterback play for the majority of his tenure in Indianapolis. Pittman will look to rebound from this poor showing when the Colts take on the Vikings on Dec. 18 following the upcoming bye week.
Nov 28, 2022
Scores second TD of 2022
Pittman caught seven of 11 targets for 61 yards in Monday's 24-17 loss to the Steelers.
ANALYSIS
Pittman's 16 receiving yards in the first half were enough for the team lead, as Matt Ryan mustered just 36 passing yards en route to a 16-3 deficit. Ryan locked onto rookie tight end Jelani Woods (eight catches for 98 yards) for most of the second half but turned back to Pittman for the go-ahead six-yard touchdown in the final minute of the third quarter. It was Pittman's first touchdown since Week 1. After the Steelers went back up 24-17, Pittman jump-started the Colts' last gasp drive late in the fourth with a 28-yard catch, then picked up just enough to move the chains on 4th and three before the drive petered out on the next set of downs. He'll face Trevon Diggs and the Cowboys in Week 13.
Nov 20, 2022
Strong showing in tough matchup
Pittman caught six passes for 75 yards on seven targets against Philadelphia on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman did a good job in a tough matchup, providing almost automatic returns despite facing difficult coverage from Philadelphia's standout boundary corners. Pittman is almost always a central piece of the Indianapolis game plan, and the same should prove true against Pittsburgh in Week 12.
Nov 13, 2022
Seven grabs in Week 10 win
Pittman caught seven of nine targets for 53 yards in Sunday's 25-20 win over the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
With Matt Ryan back under center instead of Sam Ehlinger, the Colts' passing game showed a little more life and Pittman caught at least seven passes for the fifth time in nine games. The third-year wideout is on pace to reach 100 receptions for the first time as well as deliver his second straight 1,000-yard campaign, but he faces a tough test in Week 11 against the Eagles' star-studded secondary.
Nov 6, 2022
Non-factor against New England
Pittman recorded three receptions on six targets for 22 yards in Sunday's 26-3 loss to the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
Sam Ehlinger mustered only 103 passing yards in the loss, severely limiting all of his receivers. Pittman still led the team with six targets, though nearly all of them came in short areas of the field with his longest catch of the day going for just 10 yards. Pittman has only 10 receptions for 75 yards combined in two games since Ehlinger has taken over as the starting quarterback in Indianapolis.
Oct 30, 2022
Earns nine targets
Pittman recorded seven receptions on nine targets for 53 yards in Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Commanders.
ANALYSIS
Even with Sam Ehlinger under center, Pittman commanded nine targets with the next closest Colt seeing only five. However, he still lacked big-play ability, as his longest catch of the day went for 16 yards and only one of his six other receptions went for double-digit yards. Pittman should continue to see plenty of volume, but he now has fewer than 60 yards in four of his last five games.
Oct 23, 2022
Pedestrian performance in loss
Pittman recorded six receptions on nine targets for 58 yards in Sunday's 19-10 loss to the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Coming off of a 16-target performance, Pittman remained heavily involved in the Colts' offense but was outshined by Parris Campbell. He was also held under 60 yards for the third time in six games this season, as only two of his catches went for double-digit yards. Pittman has become very reliant on volume, as his two 100-yard games came on games when he had 13 and 16 targets, respectively. That may say more about the Colts' offense than Pittman, but it still isn't particularly positive for his outlook moving forward.
Oct 16, 2022
Monster performance in win
Pittman brought in 13 of 16 targets for 134 yards in the Colts' 34-27 win over the Jaguars on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman paced the Colts in receptions, receiving yards and targets in a standout performance that saw him left out of Matt Ryan's three-touchdown barrage and come up just short of securing a two-point conversion grab, but that still led to season-best numbers across the board. Pittman now has a pair of 100-yard efforts on the campaign, and he'll look to make his first trip to the end zone since Week 1 in the Colts' AFC South road showdown versus the Titans in Week 7.
Oct 7, 2022
Five receptions in Week 5 win
Pittman secured five of eight targets for 59 yards in the Colts' 12-9 overtime win over the Broncos on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Pittman checked in second in receptions, receiving yards and targets to Alec Pierce in the low-scoring win. The standout third-year wideout's numbers represented somewhat of a resurgence after he'd generated a season-low 3-31 line in Week 4 against the Titans, but fantasy managers will be looking for more of a return to the 8.5 receptions and 96.5 yards Pittman averaged over the first two games when he next takes the field versus the Jaguars at home a week from Sunday.
Oct 2, 2022
Quiet against Titans
Pittman recorded three receptions on six targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Pittman tied for the team lead with six targets, though that was down considerably from his marks of 13 and nine in his other two games this season. The Titans also kept Pittman limited to short areas of the field, as his longest reception went for only 14 yards. Until the Colts get the run game going or a supporting pass catcher emerges, opposing defenses may be to focus all of their attention on Pittman. He's still capable of providing big performances, but the state of the Colts' offense could lead to inconsistency in his results.

Strong performance in return
Pittman (quadriceps) secured eight of nine targets for 72 yards in the Colts' 20-17 win over the Chiefs on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman put together team-leading totals in receptions, receiving yards and targets in a successful return from a one-game absence. The second-year wideout has unsurprisingly been heavily involved in the two games he's played thus far, furnishing a 17-193-1 line on 22 targets in that sample. He'll project for another hefty workload when the Colts tangle with the Titans in a Week 4 home matchup against the division-rival Titans.
Sep 23, 2022
Ready to return Sunday
Coach Frank Reich said Friday that Pittman (quadriceps) is "ready to go" ahead of Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman was unable to play Week 2 due to a quadriceps injury, but after managing limited sessions both Wednesday and Thursday this week, he's been cleared to return to action. He'll thus serve as the Colts' top receiving option for quarterback Matt Ryan on Sunday, looking to build on a 9-121-1 line on 13 targets from the season opener.
Sep 22, 2022
Still limited
Pittman (quadriceps) remained limited at practice Thursday, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Both Pittman and Alec Pierce (concussion/full practice) missed this past Sunday's 24-0 loss to the Jaguars, but the duo could be available this weekend against the Chiefs. While Pittman declined to comment on his quad injury Thursday, back-to-back limited practice sessions on his part are encouraging. Friday's final injury report will reveal whether Indy's top wideout approaches Week 3 action with an injury designation or fully cleared to return to action.
Sep 21, 2022
Returns to practice
Pittman (quadriceps) returned to practice Wednesday as a limited participant.
ANALYSIS
The wideout reportedly looked good during the open portion of practice, with Zak Keefer of The Athletic noting that Pittman is on track to return for Sunday's game against the Chiefs. The Colts played without both Pittman and Alec Pierce (concussion) in a 24-0 loss to the Jaguars in Week 2, but QB Matt Ryan could have his full complement of pass catchers for the Week 3 matchup with Kansas City (Pierce was a full participant Wednesday).
Sep 21, 2022
To practice Wednesday
Pittman (quadriceps) is scheduled to practice Wednesday, Stephen Holder of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman's return to practice is a notable step in the right direction, even if he only ends up handling limited reps. The No. 1 wideout's status is crucial for Indianapolis' matchup against the Chiefs on Sunday, as Matt Ryan and the offense were unable to score a single point without Pittman versus Jacksonville in Week 2. Coach Frank Reich previously expressed optimism that Pittman's quad injury might only result in one absence.
Sep 19, 2022
Could play Week 3
Colts head coach Frank Reich said Monday that Pittman has "made some good progress" in his recovery from a quadriceps injury over the weekend and could be available for the team's Week 3 matchup with the Chiefs, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Initially listed as questionable heading into the Colts' eventual 24-0 loss to the Jaguars this past Sunday, Pittman was downgraded to out a day in advance of the contest. Reich expressed optimism that Pittman's absence was a "one-game thing," but the wideout's status for the upcoming week won't be known for certain until the Colts get a chance to assess his condition in practice. The Colts will return to the field Wednesday for their first Week 3 practice.
Sep 17, 2022
Out against Jacksonville
Pittman (quad) has been ruled out for Sunday's game at Jacksonville, Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman's quad issue occurred during Wednesday's practice and is apparently severe enough to keep him out a week. With Pittman and Alec Pierce (concussion) out, Ashton Dulin and Mike Strachan will get increased snaps with Parris Campbell the lone starter from last week.
Sep 16, 2022
Questionable for Week 2
Pittman (quad) will be listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The report notes that Pittman's quad issue occurred during Wednesday's practice and now the Colts' top wideout will approach Sunday's contest with a questionable designation. Fortunately for those considering Pittman (who racked up nine catches on 13 targets in the team's season opener) in Week 2 fantasy lineups, the team kicks off at 1:00 ET on Sunday. Meanwhile, fellow WR Alec Pierce (concussion) has been ruled out for the contest, which figures to lead to added snaps for Ashton Dulin and Mike Strachan behind Pittman (if active) and Parris Campbell.
Sep 15, 2022
Not partaking in practice
Pittman (quadriceps) isn't participating in Thursday's practice, George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman's lack of involvement in practices comes one day after he appeared on the Colts' initial Week 2 injury report as a limited participant on account of the quad issue. It's possible that his absence from the field Thursday is more maintenance-based rather than the result of a setback from Wednesday's session, but Friday's practice report will shed more light on Pittman's status heading into Sunday's game in Jacksonville. Pittman was the clear top target for quarterback Matt Ryan in the Colts' Week 1 tie with the Texans, with the wideout turning his 13 targets into nine receptions for 121 yards and a touchdown.
Sep 14, 2022
Limited with quad injury
Pittman was limited in Wednesday's practice due to a quadriceps injury.
ANALYSIS
It's likely a minor injury, considering he was able to practice in some capacity and played 98 percent of the Colts' offensive snaps in Sunday's 20-20 tie with the Texans. While Pittman likely will be okay for Sunday's context in Jacksonville, fellow wideout Alec Pierce (DNP - concussion) is up in the air, potentially giving Ashton Dulin an opportunity to fill in as the No. 3 receiver.
Sep 11, 2022
Paces pass catchers in Week 1 tie
Pittman brought in nine of 13 targets for 121 yards and a touchdown in the Colts' 20-20 tie with the Texans on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman unsurprisingly served as Matt Ryan's top target by far on the afternoon, and his 15-yard touchdown grab with just under two minutes remaining knotted the game at 20-20 to complete a two-score comeback. Pittman had shown strong rapport with Ryan during training camp by all accounts, and as the Colts' most accomplished receiver, he should reprise his volume and corresponding production on quite a few occasions this season. Pittman's first opportunity to build on Sunday's prolific season-opening effort comes in a Week 2 road divisional battle against the Jaguars next Sunday.
Aug 27, 2022
Solid preseason-ending effort
Pittman secured all three targets for 29 yards in the Colts' 27-10 preseason win over the Buccaneers on Saturday night.
ANALYSIS
The Colts' top target got a solid amount of opportunity to work with new quarterback Matt Ryan, recording catches on Indianapolis' first and third possessions. Pittman's last two catches came on back-to-back plays in the latter drive, the second going for 17 yards down to Tampa Bay's one-yard line to set up a short Deon Jackson rushing touchdown. Pittman should be primed for a hefty workload all season beginning with a Week 1 road divisional showdown against the Texans on Sept. 11.
Aug 22, 2022
Should play a bunch this week
Pittman and other starters are expected to play the first half of Saturday's preseason finale against Tampa Bay, JJ Stankevitz of Colts.com reports.
ANALYSIS
With two weeks between the end of the preseason and the start of the regular season, some teams now play starters in their final exhibition. The Colts will be among those, according to coach Frank Reich, though we won't be surprised if key guys like Pittman are pulled earlier than many other starters.
Aug 18, 2022
Unlikely to play this weekend
Colts coach Frank Reich suggested Pittman and most other starters won't play in Saturday's preseason game against Detroit, Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis reports.
ANALYSIS
After catching two passes for 30 yards in the preseason opener, Pittman had a big week against the Lions in joint practices, according to Colton Pouncey of The Athletic. Jonathan Taylor remains the centerpiece of Indy's offense, but Pittman is the clear top target for 37-year-old QB Matt Ryan, who completed six of 10 throws for 58 yards in the first week of the preseason. Pittman, Taylor and Ryan all start the regular season with enticing matchups Week 1 at Houston.
Aug 13, 2022
Racks up 30 yards
Pittman recorded two receptions on three targets for 30 yards in Saturday's 27-24 preseason loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Pittman got some run early in the game, likely in an effort to help him develop rapport with new quarterback Matt Ryan. His first reception came on a short throw over the middle of the field, though Pittman was able to turn up field for a 17-yard gain. Per Nate Atkins of the Indianapolis Star, Pittman was also used out of the slot, a role he is expected to fill regularly in meaningful games this season. Pittman enters the campaign as the Colts' top pass catcher.
Jul 1, 2022
Impressed with his new QB
Pittman, who approaches training camp as the Colts' top wide receiver, looks forward to working with veteran QB Matt Ryan this coming season, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
ANALYSIS
In 17 games last season, the 2020 second-rounder caught 88 of his 129 targets for 1,082 yards and six TDs. Pittman posted those numbers while working in a run-heavy offense paced by Jonathan Taylor, with Carson Wentz handling the team's signal-caller duties. Wentz's uneven play led to his offseason trade to Washington, paving the way for the arrival of Ryan, a steady veteran QB whose ball placement has impressed the 24-year-old wideout. While Pittman remains the team's clear cut top pass-catching option, Alec Pierce (a 2022 second-round pick) and Parris Campbell, who's had trouble staying on the field, are next up in the Colts' WR pecking order. With that in mind, Pittman is a candidate to see an uptick in production this year, assuming he continues to build chemistry with Ryan as the summer rolls along.
Jan 9, 2022
Delivers in garbage time
Pittman recorded six receptions on seven targets for 64 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 26-11 loss to the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Pittman was shockingly not targeted in the first half of the game, though Carson Wentz took to the air only seven times. However, he came to life on the Colts' final offensive possession of the game, racking up four receptions for 51 yards and a touchdown to salvage his day. Despite recording under five receptions in six games, Pittman took a significant step forward in his second season as a pro by more than doubling each of his target, reception and yardage totals.
Jan 2, 2022
Records six catches
Pittman recorded six catches on six targets for 47 yards in Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
Pittman was efficient with his opportunities and recorded 7.8 yards per target. However, Carson Wentz took to the air only 27 times, which in turn led to Pittman seeing six targets or fewer for the fifth time in his last eight games. As a result, he's managed to top 70 receiving yards only three times while finding the end zone once in that span. Despite some of those negatives, Pittman topped 1,000 yards for the season with his performance, and he has also doubled his target total from his rookie campaign with one game remaining.
Dec 26, 2021
Makes eight receptions in Week 16
Pittman posted eight catches (on 12 targets) for 82 yards and took one carry for three yards during Saturday's 22-16 victory at Arizona.
ANALYSIS
Pittman bounced back from a Week 15 performance against the Patriots in which he hauled in just one of five targets for seven yards before getting ejected for an altercation with opposing safety Kyle Dugger. In his fifth outing of the season with double-digit targets Saturday, Pittman racked up his most receiving yards since Week 8, but his TD-free streak now has reached six games. He'll look to put together a more complete performance in the Colts' next contest Sunday, Jan. 2 versus the Raiders.
Dec 19, 2021
Only one catch before ejection
Pittman caught one of five targets for seven yards before being ejected in the third quarter of Saturday's 27-17 win over the Patriots.
ANALYSIS
It was already a rough night for Pittman and the Colts' passing game as a whole before the wideout got into an altercation with Pats safety Kyle Dugger which resulted in both players getting tossed. The abbreviated outing wound up being Pittman's least productive game of the season, but it's unlikely he'll face further discipline from the league for his part in the incident, so he should be able to bounce back in Week 16 against the Cardinals.
Dec 5, 2021
Tops 100 scrimmage yards
Pittman caught six of eight targets for 77 yards and rushed twice for 33 yards in Sunday's 31-0 win over the Texans.
ANALYSIS
Pittman led the Colts in all major receiving categories, rebounding after totaling just 76 yards over his prior two games. The wideout also added a couple rushes for good measure, including a game-long 25-yarder. Overall, he topped 100 scrimmage yards for the third time this season, sending him into the bye week on a positive note.
Nov 28, 2021
Four catches in loss
Pittman brought in four of 10 targets for 53 yards in the Colts' 38-31 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The big-bodied receiver slogged through an inefficient afternoon, but he still turned in a serviceable performance from a fantasy perspective. Pittman's yardage total was his lowest since Week 6, but his Week 13 road matchup against the Texans should afford him more opportunities for production.
Nov 21, 2021
Two catches in win
Pittman brought in two of five targets for 23 yards in the Colts' 41-15 win over the Bills on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman and the rest of the Colts' passing game took a clear back seat to the spectacular exploits of Jonathan Taylor, who compiled 204 total yards and five touchdowns. The second-year wideout had racked up 20 total catches over the previous three games, so Sunday's production was certainly a disappointment, irrespective of the fact it seemed more a byproduct of games script than anything else. Pittman's first opportunity to atone comes in a Week 12 interconference matchup versus the Buccaneers.
Nov 14, 2021
Efficient in win
Pittman secured all five targets for 71 yards in the Colts' 23-17 win over the Jaguars on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
The Colts' passing game took a back set to Jonathan Taylor on Sunday, with the star second-year back logging a season-high 21 carries. However, Pittman still found a way to turn in a solid fantasy effort, pacing the Colts' pass catchers in receptions and receiving yards. Pittman has at least five catches in three consecutive contests, but he did see a three-game touchdown streak snapped Sunday and could have an uphill climb in starting a new one against a suffocating Bills secondary in Week 11.
Nov 5, 2021
Paces pass catchers in win
Pittman secured five of six targets for 64 yards and a touchdown in the Colts' 45-30 win over the Jets on Thursday night. He also fumbled once but it was recovered by Indianapolis.
ANALYSIS
Coming off a 10-catch, two-touchdown performance in the Week 8 overtime loss to the Titans, Pittman followed it up by pacing the Colts in receptions and receiving yards on the night. The second-year wideout recorded an 11-yard touchdown at the end of the first half as well, his fourth score in the last three games. Pittman's burgeoning red-zone role is certainly encouraging and could well continue to pay dividends in a Week 10 matchup against the vulnerable Jaguars secondary a week from Sunday.
Oct 31, 2021
Pair of touchdowns in big effort
Pittman brought in 10 of 15 targets for 86 yards and two touchdowns in the Colts' 34-31 overtime loss to the Titans on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman played his possession receiver role to perfection, although he recorded a team-high 38-yard grab along the way. The surging second-year wideout recorded his third and fourth touchdown receptions as well, posting two- and seven-yard scoring catches in the first quarter. Pittman also posted his second 100-yard effort of the season in Week 7, so the USC product's stock is very high heading into a Week 9 home matchup versus the Jets on Thursday night, especially with fellow wideout T.Y. Hilton facing an uphill battle to play after sustaining a possible concussion Sunday.
Oct 25, 2021
Leads receiving corps on SNF
Pittman hauled in all four of his targets for 105 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 30-18 win over the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
Pittman resumed his role as the Colts' top outside threat with T.Y. Hilton (quadriceps) sitting this one out. The 24-year-old took advantage of the opportunity, recording his second 100-plus yard game of the season as well as his second trip to the end zone. Pittman has been the team's most-consistent wideout and fantasy producer at the position, but fantasy managers need to monitor Hilton's status for next week's matchup against the Titans, as Pittman took a backseat to the veteran (two catches for 35 yards) in the lone game they played together in Week 6.
Oct 17, 2021
Quiet with Hilton back
Pittman caught two of three targets for 35 yards and added a three-yard rush in Sunday's 31-3 win over Houston.
ANALYSIS
Pittman played second fiddle to T.Y. Hilton, who had four catches for 80 yards in his season debut. Hilton, who had previously been on IR due to a neck injury, exited early with a quadriceps injury, so it's possible Pittman will be thrust right back into a leading role. Pittman and Hilton were the only Colts with multiple catches as the team raced out to a big lead and relied on the running game, but there should be more receiving volume up for grabs in Week 7 against San Francisco.
Oct 3, 2021
Leads pass catchers in win
Pittman brought in six of eight targets for 59 yards in the Colts' 27-17 win over the Dolphins on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
It was another busy afternoon for Pittman, who led the Colts in receptions, receiving yardage and targets one week after logging 12 looks against the Titans. The big-bodied wideout continued to serve as a fixture in the short and intermediate passing windows for quarterback Carson Wentz, a role that does cap his fantasy upside on many weeks but helps lock in plenty of high-percentage targets. Pittman now has at least six receptions in three straight contests, and he'll look to record his first touchdown of the season in a Week 5 matchup on the road versus the Ravens on Monday night, Oct. 11.
Sep 26, 2021
Another 12-target outing
Pittman caught six of 12 targets for 68 yards in Sunday's 25-16 loss to the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Pittman saw a dozen passes thrown his way for the second straight week, helping him lead the Colts in all major receiving categories. Although his signal-caller was playing on two banged-up ankles, Pittman also could've scored his first touchdown of the campaign had Carson Wentz not missed him on an open pass to the end zone Sunday. Coming off last week's career-best eight catches for 123 yards, it was good to see Pittman remain the focal point of the Colts' passing game, and he'll strive to keep producing despite a potential matchup with Xavien Howard looming against the Dolphins in Week 4.
Sep 19, 2021
Dominant effort in Week 2 loss
Pittman (ankle) secured eight of 12 targets for 123 yards in the Colts' 27-24 loss to the Rams on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
A late-week addition to the injury report, Pittman shook off his questionable designation to pace the Colts in receptions, receiving yardage and targets on the afternoon. Pittman likely derived some benefit from the absence of fellow wideout Parris Campbell (abdomen), and he quickly made up for a lackluster three-catch showing in Week 1 that cast some doubt on his ability to live up to his current de facto status as the No. 1 wideout in the team's offense. Pittman will look to build on the stellar performance in Week 3 when the Colts face off with the Titans in an AFC South road battle, although the health of quarterback Carson Wentz (ankle) will undoubtedly be pivotal to the receiver's fantasy outlook for that contest.
Sep 19, 2021
Cleared for Week 2
Pittman (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Pittman was a late addition to the Colts' injury report after hurting his ankle in practice Friday, but the issue won't be significant enough to keep him off the field Sunday. The second-year wideout was on the field for all but two snaps in the Colts' Week 1 loss to the Seahawks, but he didn't see much volume in the passing game with three receptions for 29 yards on four targets.
Sep 19, 2021
Expected to play Sunday
Indianapolis is confident that both Pittman (ankle) and Parris Campbell (abdomen) will be available for Sunday's game against the Rams despite both being listed as questionable on the official injury report, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Schefter adds that the team does want to test both players in pre-game warmups before making a final decision. Pittman was a late addition to the injury report after being limited in practice Friday. He'll likely suit up and continue to start on the outside with T.Y. Hilton (neck) still sidelined.
Sep 17, 2021
Questionable against Rams
Pittman (ankle) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Pittman was a late addition to the injury report after being limited in practice Friday. He'll likely suit up and continue to start on the outside with T.Y. Hilton (neck) still sidelined. The 2020 second-round pick played all but two of the Colts' offensive snaps in Week 1 but had just three catches to show for all that playing time.
Sep 13, 2021
Just three receptions Sunday
Pittman had three receptions on four targets for 29 yards in Sunday's loss to Seattle.
ANALYSIS
Pittman played on 74 of the offense's 76 snaps as he took over the No. 1 receiver role with T.Y. Hilton out after neck surgery. However, he was just fourth on the team in targets as Indy's offense line struggled to give Carson Wentz enough time to throw a deep ball. Wentz sustained 10 quarterback hits in the game. Since Indy's offensive line is viewed as as strong unit, Pittman should improve if the line bounces back and Wentz has more time to throw.
Sep 1, 2021
Ready for No. 1 role?
Pittman's teammate T.Y. Hilton (neck) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, ruling him out for the first three games of the season, per NFL.com's Michael Baca.
ANALYSIS
Hilton is no longer a clear No. 1 in the Indianapolis wideout room, but his absence nonetheless boosts early season target projections for Pittman, Zach Pascal and Parris Campbell. Given that he's locked in as a starter on the heels of a solid rookie campaign, Pittman looks like the upside play out of that group, though he profiles as a possession receiver more so than a big-play threat. He did show strength and elusiveness after the catch last season, creating some upside even if downfield targets are few and far between. The Colts do expect Hilton to return this season, and possibly as soon as October.
Aug 29, 2021
Role could expand following Hilton injury
With T.Y. Hilton potentially in line to multiple games due to an upper back or neck injury, Pittman, Zach Pascal and Parris Campbell appear poised to head the Colts' wide receiving corps early on this season, Joel A. Erickson of the Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Also in the team's wideout mix battling for depth slotting are Mike Strachan, Ashton Dulin, Dezmon Patmon and DeMichael Harris. As a rookie, Pittman caught 40 passes for 503 yards and a TD in 13 games, but with Hilton now expected to miss time, the 2020 second-rounder has a chance to assume an expanded role with the team to start the coming season, and in the process solidify his standing as a fantasy lineup option.
Aug 22, 2021
Snags one pass Saturday
Pittman posted one catch (on two targets) for seven yards during Saturday's preseason victory at Minnesota.
ANALYSIS
Even with veteran T.Y. Hilton taking a seat, Pittman wasn't targeted by starter Sam Ehlinger until the first play of the second quarter, and his only catch went for seven yards. Meanwhile, all of Mo Alie-Cox, Zach Pascal, Parris Campbell, Nyheim Hines and even Farrod Green earned targets before Pittman. Pittman seems to be vying with Pascal and Campbell for slotting on the wide receiver depth chart, but Carson Wentz's foot injury has led to uneven quarterback play from Ehlinger and Jacob Eason, the primary competitors for a potential Week 1 start.
Jul 23, 2021
Headed for second-year breakout?
Colts GM Chris Ballard sees "breakout potential" in Pittman, according to Zak Keefer of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
Confidence in Pittman is one explanation for the Colts having a quiet offseason at the WR spot, despite having plenty of cap space and no clear No. 1 receiver. Granted, the Colts aren't putting everything on Pittman's shoulders, as they re-signed T.Y. Hilton to a one-year, $8 million contract, gave Zach Pascal a second-round RFA tender and still have hope that 2019 second-round pick Parris Campbell can finally stay healthy. Pittman, the 34th overall pick from the 2020 Draft, is the upside play for fantasy purposes, especially after he had 101 total yards in the playoff loss to Buffalo. It remains to be seen if he can develop good chemistry with new Colts quarterback Carson Wentz, who was an outright disaster in his final year with the Eagles.
Jan 9, 2021
Leading receiver in playoff exit
Pittman caught five of 10 targets for a team-high 90 yards and added an 11-yard carry in Saturday's 27-24 wild-card round loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Pittman racked up 102 scrimmage yards in the first half, but he also dropped a difficult but makeable catch in the end zone on 4th-and-goal late in the second quarter. He was a non-factor in the second half, losing one yard on his only catch. The rookie second-round pick topped 100 scrimmage yards only once in the regular season while reaching 50 in just three of 13 games, but hopefully Pittman will be able to build on this strong postseason debut heading into his sophomore season.
Jan 6, 2021
Just two grabs Week 17
Pittman secured both of his targets for 28 yards during Week 17's 28-14 win over the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Pittman managed to clear the league's five-step concussion protocol in time to suit up Week 17, and he handed his usual starting role alongside T.Y. Hilton and Zach Pascal. The rookie second-round pick appeared in 13 regular-season games with the Colts, securing 40 of 61 targets for 503 yards and a touchdown. He'll look to continue his steady production in the postseason, beginning with Indianapolis' wild-card matchup in Buffalo on Saturday.
Jan 2, 2021
Cleared for Week 17
Pittman (concussion) won't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Pittman was deemed questionable Friday, but he has since cleared the league's five-step concussion protocol. The rookie second-round pick is slated to start at wide receiver in the crucial divisional tilt. Pittman hasn't produced big plays lately, as he's failed to post more than 50 yards or a touchdown in a game since Week 11.
Jan 1, 2021
Listed as questionable
Pittman (concussion) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jaguars after practicing fully both Thursday and Friday.
ANALYSIS
Per Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis, the wideout still needs clearance from an independent neurologist to be cleared to play this weekend, but at this stage Bowen indicates that "looks good" to happen in advance of Sunday's 4:25 ET kickoff.
Dec 31, 2020
Logs full practice
Pittman (concussion) practiced fully Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman was limited Wednesday, so his full participation Thursday would appear to give him a good chance of clearing the NFL's concussion protocol in advance of Sunday's game against the Jaguars. Friday's final injury report of the week will confirm whether or not Pittman heads into the weekend with any questions regarding his Week 17 playing status.
Dec 30, 2020
Opens week with limited practice
Pittman (concussion) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman will need to fully clear the league's five-step concussion protocol in order to participate in Sunday's must-win season finale against Jacksonville, but it's good to see him practicing in some capacity after sustaining the injury in last week's loss to the Steelers. The rookie second-round pick appeared to be breaking out in November with three consecutive games over 50 yards, but he hasn't reached that mark in five contests since.
Dec 28, 2020
Concussion confirmed
Coach Frank Reich said Monday that Pittman is in the league's five-step concussion protocol, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman hauled in three of five targets for 38 yards before being force out of last weekend's loss to the Steelers due to the brain injury. He'll need to garner full medical clearance in order to suit up against the Jaguars on Sunday, with the Colts still competing for playoff berth.
Dec 27, 2020
Possible concussion
Pittman exited Sunday's game against the Steelers with a possible concussion, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Prior to leaving the contest to be evaluated for a possible concussion, Pittman caught three of his five targets for 38 yards.
Dec 22, 2020
Tough outing against Texans
Pittman caught two of three targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Texans.
ANALYSIS
Pittman finished third among wide receivers in targets and receiving yards, as Zach Pascal and T.Y. Hilton both garnered six targets and recorded more than 70 yards. The rookie out of Arizona State is in a bit of a cold spell, as he has caught more than two passes just once over the past four games, failing to surpass 50 receiving yards or score a touchdown in any of those outings.
Dec 15, 2020
Posts 45 scrimmage yards
Pittman caught two of five targets for 42 yards, adding a three-yard rush during Sunday's 44-27 win against the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
The rookie posted two receptions of 19-plus yards during Week 14, however, he continues to endure a down stretch of fantasy production. Pittman racked up 14 catches for 223 yards and a touchdown between Weeks 9 and 11, but he's now been held under 50 receiving yards with no touchdowns over each of his past three outings. Workload remains consistent for the USC product, as he's attracted five-plus targets in five of his past six contests heading into a Week 15 matchup against the Texans.
Dec 6, 2020
Catches all five targets
Pittman caught all five of his targets for 46 yards during Sunday's 26-20 win over the Texans.
ANALYSIS
Pittman finished second on the team in catches and receiving yards while tying for second in targets. His long gain went for just 13 yards, however, as he finished with a lackluster average of 9.2 yards per reception. Meanwhile, T.Y. Hilton enjoyed his best performance of the season and seems to be hitting his stride after playing second fiddle to Pittman in recent weeks. Despite seeing 14 targets over the last two games, Pittman has snared just seven of those while totaling 74 yards and will look to improve his efficiency in next Sunday's matchup with the Raiders.
Nov 29, 2020
Can't deliver despite opportunity
Pittman recorded two receptions on nine targets for 28 yards in Week 12 against the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Pittman was the most-targeted wideout on the Colts, but was uncharacteristically inefficient. Entering the Week 12 contest, Pittman had broken out across his last two games by converting 11 targets into 10 receptions, 167 yards and a touchdown. The entire Indianapolis offense was poor against the Titans, however, and Pittman will have the chance to bounce back in a positive matchup in Week 13 against the Texans.

Builds on breakout
Pittman recorded three receptions for 66 yards and a touchdown in Week 11 against the Packers.
ANALYSIS
After breaking out in Week 10 thanks to commanding seven targets, Pittman showcased his big-play ability against the Packers. He did the majority of his damage on a short reception, after which he subsequently weaved through the opposing secondary to find the end zone for a 45-yard touchdown. His remaining two receptions went for a combined 21 yards, though Pittman continues to establish himself as a favorite target of Philip Rivers. Pittman will look to continue his breakout in a Week 12 matchup against the Titans.

Career-best numbers in win
Pittman brought in seven of eight targets for 101 yards and rushed once for 21 yards in the Colts' 34-17 win over the Titans on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
The rookie was making his third appearance since a three-game stint on injured reserve due to a lower leg injury, and he turned in what was easily his best game as a pro yet. Pittman recorded a game-long 40-yard catch among his exploits while pacing all pass catchers on either club in receptions, receiving yards and targets. The 23-year-old's impressive size/speed combination was also on full display during his nifty 21-yard reverse in the second half, and he'll look to make even bigger contributions in what could turn out to be a Week 11 aerial shootout against the Packers on Sunday, Nov. 22.
Nov 8, 2020
Four grabs in loss
Pittman secured four of seven targets for 56 yards in the Colts' 24-10 loss to the Ravens on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Pittman was much more involved in his second game back off injured reserve, as he'd managed just one catch for six yards over 45 snaps in Week 8. Pittman's receiving yardage led the Colts on the afternoon, while his reception tally tied for second with T.Y. Hilton (groin) out of action and Jack Doyle leaving the game in the first quarter with a concussion. Pittman will look to build on Sunday's improved numbers in a Thursday night Week 10 road battle versus the Titans, a game that both Hilton and Doyle could be hard pressed to return for.

Resumes practicing in full
Pittman was a full participant in Friday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Pittman sat out Thursday's walk-through practice after being deemed to have been in close contact with the team staff member who tested positive for COVID-19, but he's now been cleared to resume working alongside teammates. He's set to suit up against the Ravens on Sunday.
Nov 5, 2020
Sits out Thursday's walk-through
Pittman was one of several Colts players who missed practice Thursday because they were in proximity to the team staff member who tested positive for COVID-19, Stephen Holder of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star, the other Indy players in the same situation are Sheldon Day, Tyquan Lewis and Quenton Nelson. All four players can return to practice Friday if they test negative for COVID-19.

One catch in return
Pittman (lower leg) caught his lone target for six yards in Sunday's 41-21 win over the Lions.
ANALYSIS
Pittman played 45 offensive snaps in his first action since Week 3 but simply didn't get much attention from quarterback Philip Rivers. The rookie second-round pick will hope to get open more frequently against the Ravens in Week 9, but doing so won't be easy against the stingy Baltimore secondary.

Activated from IR
Pittman (lower leg) was activated from injured reserve, Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman underwent surgery to address a lower leg injury he suffered in Week 3. He returned to practice this week, but it's not clear how much he'll be able to play this Sunday against Detroit. Still, when healthy he should take over as the No. 2 or No. 3 receiver.
Oct 28, 2020
Set to resume practicing
Pittman (lower leg) will return to practice Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
With Pittman now in the designated to return from IR category, the Colts now have a 21-day window to decide whether to return the wideout to their active roster or revert him to IR for the remainder of the season. Unless Pittman suffers a setback, however, it's safe to assume that he's in the team's plans, with offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni indicating that he's eager to welcome Pittman back to the team's pass-catching mix. "Michael is big and physical, but he has almost like little-man feet, like where he is able to get in and out of breaks like a guy who is 5-foot-10" Sirianni noted of the 2020 second rounder, who's listed by Indy as 6-foot-4, 223 pounds."That's a very good ability to have because he can win with both his quickness and his strength and size." Prior to his injury, Pittman hauled in nine of his 12 targets for 73 yards in three games.

Moved to injured reserve
Pittman (leg) was placed on injured reserve Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Considering coach Frank Reich relayed Friday there was no specific timetable in regard to Pittman's return from lower-leg surgery, the IR designation seemed like the most plausible outcome. The Colts activated tight end Trey Burton (calf) off injured reserve Saturday and presumably could use him to offset a pretty beleaguered Colts' receiving corps, but expect the likes of T.Y. Hilton and Zach Pascal to assume the majority of WR snaps with Daurice Fountain, Ashton Dulin and Dezmon Patmon battling for the remaining scraps.

Aiming for Week 8 return
Coach Frank Reich said Friday that there's no specific timeline for Pittman to return after successful surgery to repair compartment syndrome in his calf, Jim Ayello of the Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
When Pittman returns to the lineup will depend on how he responds to rehab, but the Colts hope he'll be back after the team's Week 7 bye. He could be placed on IR to open up a roster spot, and he'd still be eligible to return in Week 8 against the Lions. With Parris Campbell (knee) already on IR, T.Y. Hilton and Zach Pascal are locked into starting roles while Daurice Fountain, Ashton Dulin and Dezmon Patmon battle for the remaining reps.

Slated to miss time
Coach Frank Reich confirmed Monday that Pittman underwent surgery to address a lower leg injury that the wideout suffered Sunday against the Jets, Andrew Walker of the Colts' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Per Reich, Pittman was diagnosed with compartment leg syndrome and the team's medical staff determined that the best course of action for the 2020 second-rounder was for him to undergo surgery to relieve the resulting pressure in his leg. As a result, Pittman is in line to miss several weeks of action, and in his absence there should be added pass-catching opportunities for players like Zach Pascal, Ashton Dulin, Daurice Fountain and Dezmon Patmon.
Sep 28, 2020
Likely to miss multiple weeks
Pittman underwent surgery to address a calf injury sustained during Monday's loss to the Jets and could be out until Week 8, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman briefly exited Sunday's win over New York due to what was initially described as a lower leg injury, but he had to undergo surgery after the game to address what was diagnosed as compartment leg syndrome in his calf. Coach Frank Reich confirms that Pittman underwent surgery Sunday, per Mike Chappell of Fox 59 News Indianapolis, but he declined to verify the rookie's Week 8 recovery timetable. The Colts have already lost Parris Campbell (knee) for at least a number of contests, so if Pittman is also forced to miss multiple weeks, all of Zach Pascal, Ashton Dulin, Daurice Fountain and Dezmon Patmon will stand to handle increased snaps behind T.Y. Hilton. The Colts could also opt to place Pittman on IR and promote Marcus Johnson from the practice squad.

Could miss time
Coach Frank Reich said Monday that Pittman could miss time due to a lower leg injury sustained during Sunday's win over the Jets, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman managed to retake the field after getting injured Sunday, but Reich notes that his injury "worsened" overnight. With Parris Campbell (knee) already in line to miss a number of games on IR, a significant injury to Pittman could have the potential to derail Indianapolis' aerial attack. If the rookie second-round pick isn't able to suit up Week 4 in Chicago, Zach Pascal stands to start alongside T.Y. Hilton.
Sep 27, 2020
Returns to game
Pittman, who was forced out of Sunday's game against the Jets with an ankle injury, was later able to return to the contest, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Good news for the Colts, who can ill-afford to lose another wideout, with Parris Campbell currently on IR with a knee injury.
Sep 27, 2020
Exits game with ankle injury
Pittman was forced out of Sunday's game against the Jets with an ankle injury, Andrew Walker of the Colts' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
As long as Pittman is sidelined, Zach Pascal, Daurice Fountain and Ashton Dulin are candidates for added targets behind top wideout T.Y. Hilton.
Sep 20, 2020
Makes four catches vs. Vikings
Pittman caught four of six targets for 37 yards during Sunday's 28-11 win over the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Parris Campbell (knee) left the game in the first half, opening up some looks for Pittman in the passing game. In fact, he tied for the team lead in targets, though he only made smaller gains apart from his long of 16 yards. Jack Doyle (knee/ankle) also missed this game, and if the Colts are sill missing notable skill players next Sunday against the Jets, Pittman could benefit yet again from a larger role.
Sep 20, 2020
Cleared to play Sunday
Pittman (toe) is active for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Despite failing to take part in the Colts' final practice of the week Friday due to the injury, Pittman apparently moved around well enough in a pregame workout to receive the green light to play. The rookie will likely serve as Indianapolis' No. 4 receiver Week 2, though he could struggle to match the 53 percent offensive snap share he logged in the season-opening loss to the Jaguars, when the Colts were playing from behind. He finished his first career game with two receptions for 10 yards on two targets.
Sep 20, 2020
Trending down for Sunday
Pittman (toe) isn't expected to play Sunday against Minnesota, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Frank Reich previously said the rookie second-round pick would be a game-time decision, but he apparently hasn't progressed well since Friday's practice. Pittman is officially questionable for Sunday's contest but isn't likely to be available.
Sep 18, 2020
Officially questionable for Week 2
Pittman (toe) is questionable for Sunday's game versus the Vikings, Andrew Walker of the Colts' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Coach Frank Reich has stated that Pittman will be a game-time decision after the rookie had an "incident" with his toe during Thursday's practice, and even if he plays, Pittman could log limited snaps. However, he could have a starting role if he fully shakes off the issue and Zach Pascal (ankle) is ruled out. If both can't go, however, expect Ashton Dulin to bump up as the No. 3 wideout. The final verdicts on their respective statuses will be available at 11:30 a.m. EDT on Sunday.
Sep 18, 2020
Shaping up to be game-time call
Pittman had an "incident" with his toe in Thursday's practice and the Colts will use the remaining time before Sunday's game against Minnesota to evaluate his status, per coach Frank Reich, Andrew Walker of the Colts' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
It sounds like Pittman will be a game-time decision after injuring his toe in practice Thursday. With Zach Pascal (ankle) practicing on a limited basis Thursday after missing Wednesday's practice entirely, the Colts are banged up at wide receiver behind top two options T.Y. Hilton and Parris Campbell. Should one or both of Pittman or Pascal sit out Sunday, special teams contributor Ashton Dulin could get a chance to play some offense.
Sep 17, 2020
Limited by toe injury
Pittman was a limited participant in Thursday's practice due to a toe injury, Andrew Walker of the Colts' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman may have picked up the injury at some point during the session; he didn't appear on the Colts' initial Week 2 report that was released Wednesday. The rookie wideout, who recorded two receptions for 10 yards in his NFL debut Week 1, will have one more opportunity to increase his level of practice activity Friday before the Colts assess his chances of suiting up Sunday against the Vikings.
Sep 14, 2020
Two receptions in NFL debut
Pittman had two receptions for ten yards on two targets in Sunday's loss at Jacksonville.
ANALYSIS
Pittman played on 39 of the offense's 74 snaps, which was just behind third receiver Zach Pascal (46 snaps). While the 2020 second-round draft pick didn't put up big numbers in his debut, he could overtake Pascal for a larger role in the offense before too long.
Sep 7, 2020
Listed as No. 4 receiver
Pascal is listed as the No. 4 receiver on the Colts' initial unofficial depth chart.
ANALYSIS
T.Y. Hilton, Parris Campbell and Zach Pascal are listed as the top three starters. Pittman was seen getting reps with the first-team offense in training camp and it's thought he'll have a significant role at the start of the regular season, so Pascal's listing as the No. 3 receiver may be giving deference to a veteran. Still, it's unclear how quickly the Colts will integrate Pittman into the offense.
Aug 30, 2020
Uneven scrimmage performance
Pittman dropped two passes in Saturday's scrimmage, but also had three impressive contested catches, The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Pittman has been getting reps with the first-team offense in training camp and it's thought he'll have a significant role at the start of the regular season even with an uneven performance in the scrimmage. Pittman could see significant snaps in Week 1 if Zach Pascal (hamstring) and Parris Campbell (concussion) are limited by injuries.
Aug 23, 2020
Encouraging signs in camp
Pittman has been getting reps with the first-team offense early in training camp and has been building a rapport with Philip Rivers, The Athletic reports. Pittman has also been learning to play better against press coverage, offensive coordinator Nick Sirianni told the team's official web site.
ANALYSIS
It's not surprising that the 2020 second-round draft pick is working with the first-team offense, but his usage with the starters consistently so far in training camp is a sign everything is on track for him to have a sizeable role in the Indy passing game. Pittman is a complete receiver who can run the whole route tree and can win jump balls on the outside. He should immediately push for a starting role in three-wide sets.

Has a fan in coach Reich
Coach Frank Reich is effusive in his praise for Pittman in a video released by the Colts' website.
ANALYSIS
It's nothing out of the ordinary for a coach to be excited about one of the players his team drafted, but Reich's enthusiasm for Pittman is really emphasized in the video, which includes a couple glowing quotes from a month before the draft. The USC wideout wasn't an elite producer until his senior season, but he displayed reliable hands throughout this college career, with PFF charting five drops on 176 catchable passes. The 22-year-old further boosted his stock at the combine, putting up strong numbers in the 40-yard dash (4.52), three-cone drill (6.96) and short shuttle (4.14) by the standards of a 6-foot-4, 223-pound receiver. Pittman gives the Colts a big-bodied possession target to join skinny speedsters T.Y. Hilton and Parris Campbell, presumably posing an immediate threat to Zach Pascal's starting job.
