Moved to IR
The Saints placed Saldiveri (knee) on injured reserve Saturday, Ross Jackson of WWL Louisiana reports.
ANALYSIS
Saldiveri hurt his knee against the Rams last Sunday and had to be carted to the locker room. He's now set to sit out at least four contests. Saldiveri will be eligible to return to action Week 18 against Tampa Bay on Sunday, Jan. 5, but with the Saints currently sitting on a 4-8 record and a longshot to contend for the postseason, the left guard's campaign could be over.

Sidelined for Week 14
Saldiveri (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Giants, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports.
ANALYSIS
Saldiveri's absence Sunday comes as no surprise, as he was unable to practice all week after sustaining a knee injury in the Saints' Week 13 loss to the Rams. Expect Lucas Patrick to serve as New Orleans' top left guard in Week 14 in Saldiveri's stead.

Does not return in Week 13
Saldiveri (knee) did not return to Sunday's 21-14 loss to the Rams.

Saldiveri suffered a knee injury in the third quarter, ultimately requiring a cart to get to the locker room. His status moving forward is uncertain and if he's forced to miss any additional action, Landon Young is a top candidate to take over at left guard.

Questionable to return Sunday

ANALYSIS
Saldiveri was carted off the field following a touchdown by the Saints in the third quarter, making it rather unlikely that he returns to the field in Week 13. Landon Young replaced Saldiveri at left guard against Los Angeles.

Good to go
Saldiveri (shoulder) is active for the Saints' Week 9 matchup with the Panthers.

Saldiveri (shoulder) did not practice Friday and has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Chargers, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.
ANALYSIS
Saldiveri suffered a shoulder injury during the Saints' Week 7 loss to the Broncos. He is considered week-to-week with the injury, and him being ruled out for Sunday's contest comes as no surprise after he was unable to practice all week. Kyle Hergel filled in for Saldiveri following the latter's exit in Week 7, and the former could start at left guard for Sunday's game.

Considered week to week
Coach Dennis Allen said Friday that Saldiveri (shoulder) is week to week after being injured in Thursday night's loss to the Broncos, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.

Dealing with groin issue
Head coach Dennis Allen told reporters Wednesday that Saldiveri sustained a groin injury while doing individual drills at New Orleans' mandatory minicamp, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
ANALYSIS

Saldiveri, a second-year offensive lineman out of Old Dominion, appeared in four games and played 37 total snaps during his rookie campaign. Once Saldiveri returns to the field, he's expected to compete for the Saints' starting left guard spot, amid Andrus Peat's departure earlier this offseason.

Passes physical
Saldiveri (undisclosed) passed his physical Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

ANALYSIS
The severity of Saldiveri's injury remains unclear, but he's eligible to practice and/or play at any point during the preseason. Goes to New Orleans in fourth round
The Saints selected Saldiveri in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, 103rd overall.
ANALYSIS
Saldiveri (6-foot-6, 318 pounds) was a standout tackle at Old Dominion and heads into the NFL as one of the more athletic linemen in the 2023 draft. His lack of reach would be a concern (33 and 1/4-inch arms) at tackle, but since the Saints already have Trevor Penning and Ryan Ramczyk at the position, it would seem Saldiveri is headed to guard. Saldiveri projects fairly well whichever position he tries, as he tested very well across the board at the combine (5.21-second 40, 31-inch vertical, 111-inch broad jump).
