Watkins (undisclosed) signed to Philadelphia's practice squad Wednesday.

Watkins most recently spent time with Arizona, having been cut by the Cardinals with an injury settlement back in August. Now healthy, the 2020 sixth-round pick reunites with the organization that drafted hi. Watkins will operate as an emergency depth option on the practice squad.

The Cardinals released Watkins (undisclosed) from IR on Sunday with an injury settlement, per the NFL's transaction log.

Watkins suffered an undisclosed injury during practice early August and was placed on IR, but he'll now be eligible to sign elsewhere and play during the 2025 season, once fully healthy. He spent time on the Steelers' practice squad last year.

Watkins spent the first four years of his NFL career with the Eagles, who selected him in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Despite signing a one-year, $1.29 million contract with the Steelers this past March, Watkins wasn't able to earn a spot on Pittsburgh's 53-man roster at the conclusion of training camp. He signed with the Steelers' practice squad in late August, but was not elevated to the active roster during the regular season or the playoffs. Watkins will be a part of the Cardinals' 90-man roster when the new league year starts March 12, and he'll participate in OTAs, minicamp and training camp in the hopes of earning a spot on Arizona's 53-man roster for the 2025 campaign.

The Steelers signed Watkins to the practice squad Friday.

Watkins wasn't able to make Pittsburgh's 53-man roster in a depth wide receiver role, but he'll stick around on the practice squad. The Steelers have just five wide receivers on the active roster, and with third-round rookie Roman Wilson nursing an ankle injury, Watkins has a chance of being elevated for Week 1 against the Falcons.

The Steelers released Watkins on Tuesday.

It's not a great sign for his career prospects that he couldn't win a roster spot with one of the most WR-needy teams in the league. Watkins spent much of the past four years as Philadelphia's No. 3 receiver, but it was never a high-volume role and he maxed out at 62 targets (in 2021).

Watkins failed to secure his lone target while rushing once for six yards during Saturday's 9-3 preseason loss to the Bills.

Watkins was on the field for 53 percent of the Steelers' offensive snaps Saturday, but he didn't see many touches during the low-scoring loss. He didn't have any offensive touches during last weekend's preseason opener, and he could have to put together a productive outing during next Saturday's preseason finale against Detroit to bolster his case for a spot on the 53-man roster.

Watkins is signing with the Steelers, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.

A 2020 sixth-round pick, Watkins made 25 starts for Philadelphia over the past four seasons but never saw more than 62 targets in a year. His 4.35 speed is his best trait, and he'll now join a Steelers team with only George Pickens entrenched as a starting wide receiver. Pittsburgh's other options at the position include Van Jefferson, Calvin Austin, Denzel Mims and Marquez Callaway, with more help possibly coming during the 2024 NFL Draft.

Watkins finished the year with 15 catches for 142 yards and one touchdown.

Watkins averaged 38 catches for 501 yards over the previous two seasons, so his 2023 campaign counts as a clear disappointment. Hamstring issues limited him to nine games, but he also faced new competition from Olamide Zaccheaus and Julio Jones, which cut into a target share which was always going to small with A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith on the roster.

Watkins caught eight of 11 targets for 93 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-19 loss to the Giants.

With DeVonta Smith (ankle) inactive and A.J. Brown (knee) exiting early, Watkins emerged as the Eagles' top downfield option and led the team in catches, targets and receiving yards. The fourth-year wideout was limited to just 11 snaps in the Eagles' Week 2 win over the Vikings last Thursday after exiting the game early with the hamstring injury. The Eagles will hope that Watkins will be able to increase his practice activity the next two days, but if the 25-year-old is unable to play Monday at Tampa Bay, Olamide Zaccheaus would step in as the Eagles' No. 3 wideout.

Watkins has been ruled out for the rest of Thursday's game against the Vikings due to a hamstring injury, Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com reports.

Watkins suffered the injury in the first half and has not returned to the game since. He was spotted briefly jogging on the sideline, but he apparently is not well enough to return. Positively for Watkins, the Eagles have 10 days off prior to their next game, so he may be able to return without any additional missed time. Olamide Zaccheaus is expected to take over duties in the slot for Philadelphia.

Watkins is questionable to return to Thursday's game against Minnesota due to a hamstring injury, Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com reports.

Watkins exited the game in the second quarter and was spotted running on the sideline to test the injury. Olamide Zaccheaus took over as the slot receiver and figures to take on a larger role if Watkins is sidelined for any significant amount of time.

Watkins pulled in both his targets for 17 yards in Sunday's 25-20 victory over New England.

Watkins averaged 1.9 catches and 20.8 yards per game last season, so his Week 1 performance was right in line with expectations. Jalen Hurts target his wideouts a total of 22 times, with Watkins claiming the only two targets which didn't go to A.J. Brown or DeVonta Smith. Watkins does at least have a firm grip on the third receiver job in Philadelphia, as he out-snapped Olamide Zaccheaus by a 52-7 margin, but as long as Brown and Smith are on the team, there likely won't be too many targets to go around.

Neither is Olamide Zaccheaus, who was signed to compete with Watkins and dealt with a shoulder injury during the second half of August. It seems Watkins is the favorite to keep the No. 3 job, at least for now, but a timeshare wouldn't be surprising for what figures to be a lightly targeted role so long as AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith stay healthy.

Watkins has been dealing with the injury for a couple of weeks now. Although it's good news he's able to get on the practice field, it is concerning that he doesn't appear to yet be fully recovered. Greg Ward did see the field Saturday but made an early exit due to cramps. Watkins seems secure in his role as Philadelphia's No. 3 WR, but the current issue could allow newcomer Olamide Zaccheaus to make inroads on the job.

Watkins is having a solid training camp and still seems to be the Eagles' No. 3 receiver, according to Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia.

The Eagles don't need their third WR to take on much target volume, but they do want someone who can stretch defenses without making too many mistakes. It was that last part which proved problematic for Watkins last year, with his most memorable moments arguably being a lost fumble in the team's first defeat of the season and then a dropped pass during the Super Bowl. The 25-year-old now faces a challenge from Olamide Zaccheaus, who is also a fast, small WR and had a better 2022 in Atlanta (40-533-3 on 61 targets) than Watkins had in Philly (34-354-3 on 51 targets). Watkins may be the incumbent and now the early leader at training camp, but Zaccheaus still has time this summer to make his push for the No. 3 spot.

Watkins' strong spring performance should put him in a good place for the start of training camp, though neither he or Zaccheaus is likely to be a major contributor in the passing game with A.J. Speaking Thursday, Eagles GM Howie Roseman said "nobody in this building is down on" Watkins following Philadelphia's signing of Olamide Zaccheaus, according to Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia.

As the Eagles' third receiver last season, Watkins averaged 1.9 catches for 20.8 yards per game, scoring three touchdowns in 17 games of action. Watkins' 10.7 yards per catch was also well off his 15.1 and 15.0 marks during his first two years. Zaccheaus posted a 40-533-3 line in Atlanta last year and will compete with Watkins for No. 3 duties behind A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith.

Watkins finished his third professional season with 33 catches for 354 yards and three touchdowns.

Watkins did take a step forward in terms of finding the end zone, as he scored just once in each of his first two seasons, but the rest of his statline represents a step back from the previous campaign, when he finished with 647 yards on 43 catches. Both those totals were good for third behind DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert, but the addition of A.J. Brown prior to this season cut into Watkins' share of the offense.

In a difficult game for the Eagles' offense, top wideouts DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown still got their share of action, combining for 13 of the team's 18 catches and 212 of the team's 274 receiving yards. That left little for the rest of the team's receiving options like Watkins, who's now gone without a catch five times this season.

Operating as the Eagles' No. 3 receiver, Watkins was unable to contribute much on offense. Both A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, however, were focal points of Philadelphia's aerial attack. Though his 72 percent offensive snap share was his largest of the past four games, Watkins involvement in the Eagles' offense remains difficult to trust each week. Watkins will look to be more involved when the Eagles host the Saints in Week 17.

Watkins pulled in four of six targets for six yards and carried the ball twice for four yards in Sunday's 25-20 victory over Chicago.

Watkins set a season high in touches but gained just 10 total yards on the day. With A.J. Brown and DeVonta smith combining for 307 receiving yards, there wasn't much to go around for anybody else. If the Eagles clinch the top seed in the NFC East and rest their starters for the final week or two of the season, however, Watkins could become a much larger part of the game plan.

Watkins initially picked up the shoulder injury during the Eagles' Week 13 win over the Titans, but it didn't stop him from playing in this past Sunday's victory over the Giants. He was on the field for 45 percent of the Eagles' offensive snaps in the 48-22 triumph, finishing with four receptions for 19 yards on five targets. Though Watkins will be available this weekend in Chicago, he could lose out on a target or two if star tight end Dallas Goedert (shoulder) is cleared to return from injured reserve before Sunday, as is anticipated.

Watkins injured the shoulder against Tennessee two weeks ago and played through it last Sunday's win over the Giants, drawing five targets on 30 snaps and catching four for 19 yards in less than ideal weather. He was a limited practice participant Wednesday and Thursday of last week before the Eagles removed his injury designation Friday, so if that same pattern unfolds this week then he should again be in store for his usual slot-heavy role this Sunday at Chicago.

A limited participant in the Eagles' first two practices of Week 14 due to an AC joint sprain in his left shoulder, Watkins was able to put in a full workout Friday to erase any concern about his availability heading into Sunday. He should once again serve as the Eagles' No. 3 receiver, a role that has afforded him more looks in the passing game in the absence of top tight end Dallas Goedert (shoulder), who will miss his fourth straight game Sunday. Over the Eagles' past three contests, Watkins has put together a 10-103-2 receiving line on 13 targets.

In any case, Friday's injury report will unveil whether or not Watkins goes into the weekend with a designation for Sunday's road game versus the Giants.

Watkins continued to serve an increased role in the passing game with Dallas Goedert (shoulder) sidelined, posting his second consecutive game with at least 30 yards and a score. The five targets marked a new high for the third-year wideout, so fantasy managers should be aware of his target ceiling during his current hot streak. Goedert is going to miss a minimum of two more games after being placed on IR on Nov. 16, opening the door for Watkins to retain deep-league fantasy value against the Titans on Sunday.

Watkins could be in line for an increased role Sunday against the Packers while the Eagles are without top tight end Dallas Goedert (shoulder) for a second consecutive game, James Palmer of NFL Network reports.

Watkins is the Eagles' No. 3 wide receiver behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, but Palmer posits that he's a more likely candidate to help fill Goedert's vacated target volume than the three players Philadelphia has available at tight end (Jack Stoll, Grant Calcaterra and Tyree Jackson). In the Week 11 win over the Colts, the tight-end trio combined for one target across 67 offensive snaps in a game that quarterback Jalen Hurts tied his season low with just 25 pass attempts. Hurts' lack of pass attempts didn't bring much volume for Watkins either, but the young wideout at least secured both of his targets and gained 31 yards, including a key 22-yard touchdown grab in the fourth quarter. Brown and Smith are still expected to rank far and away as the Eagles' top receiving threats while Goedert is on injured reserve, but Watkins looks as though he'll be the clear No. 3 option in the passing game for the time being and should have a higher floor in fantasy as a result.

Watkins' 22-yard score early in the fourth quarter brought the Eagles to within three points. He's played a larger part of the offense recently, averaging 45.3 yards on 2.7 catches over the past three games after averaging 12.6 yards on 0.9 catchers over the first seven games, but his stronger recent numbers still aren't enough to make him a reliable fantasy option. Even with Dallas Goedert (shoulder) out, the Eagles still ran most of their passing game through A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, who received a combined 16 of the team's 23 targets.

Watkins caught all four of his targets for 80 yards in Monday's loss to the Commanders.

Watkins had averaged a mere one catch per game through the first nine weeks, but he made a much bigger impact this time around, setting season highs in both catches and yards. There could be more targets to go around in the coming weeks with Dallas Goedert out indefinitely with a shoulder injury, though it's still hard to get too excited about Watkins, who has just 17 targets on the year.

Watkins remains the Eagles' clear third wide receiver, as his 35 offensive snaps easily beat fourth wideout Zach Pascal's 20. Filling that role for an undefeated team hasn't led to much fantasy value, however, as he's averaging just a single catch per game and has reached the end zone just once all year.

Watkins continues to see the field frequently, with his 42 offensive snaps marking the fifth time he's seen the field at least 40 times through the first six weeks. That playing time isn't being converted into production, however, as he had nearly as minimal an impact as possible on Sunday's box score. He continues to average one catch per game on the year.

Watkins pulled in three of his four targets for 19 yards in Sunday's win over Arizona.

The line wasn't a particularly impressive one, but both Watkins' targets and receptions represented season highs. He continues to see the field for plenty of snaps, averaging 39.8 per game, but the Eagles haven't shown any interest in spreading the ball beyond their primary weapons. Watkins is tied for fifth on the team in targets but is averaging just 1.6 per game, leaving him with minimal fantasy appeal.

Watkins failed to pull in his lone target Sunday against the Jaguars.

Watkins played a season-high 46 offensive snaps, but he again didn't play much of a role in the game plan. He's now gone without a catch in three out of four games this season. A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith continue to hog nearly all of the wideout targets, and it will likely take an injury to at least one of them for Watkins to have meaningful fantasy appeal.

Watkins was targeted just once and did not record a reception in Sunday's Week 3 win over Washington.

Watkins overcame an illness to see the field for 33 snaps, but Jalen Hurts rarely looked his way. Eagles wideouts not named A.J. Brown or DeVonta Smith have combined for just five catches on nine targets through three games this season, so it doesn't seem like there's room for Watkins in the game plan as long as the team's top dogs remain healthy.

Watkins struck gold Monday night with a 53-yard TD in the win over Minnesota, but while he's proven himself more than capable as a No. 3 receiver, the Eagles simply don't have much reason to prioritize him in their offense. He should be efficient on a per-target basis while continuing to see limited volume in a passing attack dominated by the three-headed monster of A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert. The long TD on Monday accounts for half of Watkins' targets this year.

One day removed from sitting out due to an illness, Watkins was back on the field with a cap on his reps. He's seemingly on a path to play Sunday at Washington, a notion that could be confirmed as soon as the Eagles post their final Week 3 injury report Friday.

Watkins didn't practice Wednesday due to an illness.

Watkins has been the definition of hit or miss this season, going without a target Week 1 before striking for a 53-yard touchdown on two targets Week 2. He earned at least 56 percent of the offensive snaps in both contests, but he's clearly behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith at wide receiver for the Eagles. Now, Watkins will have to get past an illness to be able to play Sunday at Washington.

Watkins caught two passes for 69 yards and a touchdown in Monday's win over the Vikings.

A play fake helped Watkins find himself in plenty of space behind the Minnesota secondary on the first play of the second quarter, and Jalen Hurts hit him in stride for the 53-yard touchdown. Despite the highlight play, Watkins didn't do a ton to increase his fantasy stock, as he was only targeted twice on the day after receiving zero targets in Week 1. Additionally, just one of the Eagles' eight touchdowns this season have come via the air, so it may be awhile before Watkins' next score.

Watkins wasn't targeted even once in Sunday's 38-35 win over the Lions.

A.J. Brown was the only Philadelphia receiver to see much action on the day, accounting for 13 of the Eagles' wideouts 18 targets and 10 of the group's 11 receptions. Those looking for optimism regarding Watkins' fantasy value can point to the fact that he at least had a clear hold on the Eagles' third receiver role, seeing the field for 41 snaps compared to just 17 for Zach Pascal, but it doesn't currently look as though he's a meaningful part of the team's offense.

Watkins caught both of his targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 21-20 preseason win over the Browns.

Watkins went for gains of 12 and seven yards on his respective grabs, which both came from quarterback Gardner Minshew, who started with Jalen Hurts sitting out. His stat line was similar to those of Jalen Reagor (two catches for 17 yards) and Zach Pascal (one catch for 15 yards), who represent Watkins' top competition for looks behind A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith this season.

Watkins is now seated at third on the Eagles' depth chart after the acquisition of A.J. Brown, Zach Berman of the Athletic reports.

Watkins' volume almost certainly takes a hit, as he had been slated to be the Eagles' no. 2 receiver after DeVonta Smith prior to the Brown trade. It's possible, however, that with defenses now having two legit no. 1 receivers to focus on, the Southern Miss product will be more open to scoop up targets and rack up yards. The most likely scenario is that the 2020 sixth-round pick will find it hard to surpass last year's 43 catches and 647 yards.

Eagles coach Nick Sirianni said Watkins can be on of the better No. 2 receivers in the league, Mike Kaye of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.

The 2020 sixth-round pick doesn't have the stats to back that up, but he did take a huge step forward after a quiet rookie season, showing a knack for big plays and high-difficulty catches. Jalen Reagor, a first-round pick from the same draft, can't say the same, which is part of the reason Sirianni referred to him as the team's No. 3 receiver when talking with reporters Wednesday. Of course, the Eagles could also draft or sign someone to push both Watkins and Reagor down the depth chart, but Sirianni's words do support the notion of Watkins at least being the third guy next year. Watkins finished 2021 with a 43-647-1 receiving line on 62 targets, while Reagor managed just 33-299-2 on 57 looks.

Watkins caught two of seen targets for 35 yards during Sunday's 31-15 loss to the Buccaneers.

Watkins drew seven targets during the Eagles' Week 18 loss to the Cowboys, and he matched that total during the postseason opener. The 23-year-old saw an inconsistent workload during the 2021 campaign and secured 43 of 62 targets for 647 yards and a touchdown while rushing once for three yards across 17 regular-season appearances. He showed some improvement during his second professional campaign and could enter the 2022 season as Philadelphia's No. 2 option at wide receiver.

Watkins caught five of seven targets for 84 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 51-26 loss to the Cowboys.

Watkins helped Philadelphia move the sticks during Saturday's contest, but his performance was enhanced by a 36-yard touchdown with under two minutes remaining. That play marked the second-year wideout's first and only end-zone trip of the regular season. Given his strong finish, though, Watkins will strive to carry some of his momentum into next weekend's playoff game.

Watkins (knee) was a full practice participant Wednesday.

Watkins will be out there Saturday against the Cowboys, but he still hasn't caught more than four passes in a game this year, and his snap share dropped well south of the usual range in two of the past three weeks.

The Eagles listed Watkins as a limited participant in Tuesday's walk-through practice due to a knee injury.

Watkins again played more than half of the Eagles' offensive snaps in last week's 27-17 win over Washington, but his role in the passing attack was fairly muted, as he finished with two catches for 15 yards on four targets. Though he's banged up coming out of that Week 17 contest, Watkins should be ready to play in Saturday's regular-season finale versus the Cowboys if he's able to maintain limited participation or upgrade to full activity in practices Wednesday and Thursday.

Watkins finished third among Eagles pass catchers with four targets but wasn't able to convert that into much yardage. While the 23-year-old remains a tertiary option in the passing game, he may be in line for more work in Week 18 if the Eagles opt to bench any of their top players in what is now a meaningless game in terms of the standings.

Watkins secured all three targets for 43 yards in the Eagles' 34-10 win over the Giants on Sunday.

Watkins checked in second behind DeVonta Smith in receptions and receiving yardage, and while his perfect catch rate was a highlight, he did get whistled for holding on what would have been a Dallas Goedert touchdown grab early in the third quarter. The speedy second-year wideout has multiple receptions in all but one game this season, but he hasn't topped four catches in any one contest. Watkins does line up for a favorable matchup on paper against a suspect Washington secondary in Week 17.

Watkins secured both targets for 14 yards in the Eagles' 27-17 win over Washington on Tuesday night.

The speedster was able to clear COVID-19 protocols approximately 48 hours prior to kickoff, but his overall impact on the game was minimal. Watkins has had some serviceable performances this season as a deep threat, yet the boom-or-bust nature of his production makes him a particularly speculative play at this juncture of the fantasy calendar.

The Eagles reinstated Watkins from the reserve/COVID-19 list Sunday.

Philadelphia never revealed whether Watkins' placement on the list Monday was the result of a positive test of the virus, but the NFL's decision to postpone the Eagles' originally scheduled game for Sunday back to Tuesday due to COVID-19-related concerns within the Washington organization ultimately provided the receiver with enough time to clear the necessary protocols. Though he didn't have the benefit of practicing this week, Watkins should continue to hold down a regular role in three-receiver sets for the Eagles. He's played no fewer than 70 percent of the offensive snaps in any game since Week 5.

Watkins and the Eagles will no longer play Washington on Sunday, after the NFL officially rescheduled the matchup between the two teams for Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET.

Due to ongoing COVID-19-related issues within Washington's organization, the NFL is hopeful that by delaying the game two days, the Football Team will restore enough players from the reserve/COVID-19 list to alleviate depth concerns on the roster. Philadelphia has thus far avoided a team-wide outbreak of the virus, though Watkins is the lone player on the roster currently residing on the COVID-19 list. The Eagles haven't indicated where Watkins stands in his bid to return from the list, but the two-day delay for the Week 15 game could be enough time for him to gain clearance. If Watkins is ultimately unable to play Tuesday, the Eagles would likely turn to Jalen Reagor, J.J. Arcega-Whiteside and Greg Ward to pick up reps alongside No. 1 receiver DeVonta Smith.

The Eagles placed Watkins on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday.

The team hasn't revealed whether Watkins was placed on the list due to a positive test for the virus or a close-contact situation. In the former case, Watkins -- if vaccinated -- would have a shot at receiving clearance for Sunday's game against Washington if he's asymptomatic for a 48-hour period and if he tests negative for the virus at least 24 hours apart. Prior to the Eagles' Week 14 bye, Watkins had suited up in each of the team's first 13 games, producing a 31-491-0 receiving line on 46 targets.

Watkins secured all three of his targets for 60 yards in Sunday's 33-18 win over the Jets.

Watkins led the Eagles' receivers by playing 77 percent of the team's offensive snaps Sunday, and he posted his second-highest yardage total of the season in the win. He's now been targeted at least three times in four of the last five games, and he's secured 11 of 18 targets for 125 yards while rushing once for three yards during that time.

Watkins caught two of his five targets for 23 yards and rushed once for three yards in Sunday's 13-7 loss to the Giants.

A week after putting up a goose egg on a season-low target count of one, Watkins was back up to a more standard workload Sunday. Unfortunately, it also translated to a fairly customary level of production, as the 23-year-old hasn't registered more than 33 yards in any of his past five games. He still played eight more snaps than Jalen Reagor's 45, however.

Watkins did not catch his only target in Sunday's 40-29 win over the Saints.

A week after setting a season high in catches, Watkins saw a season low in both receptions and targets. While he still played more than Jalen Reagor, neither wideout is likely to be able to produce consistently in what is increasingly a run-first offense in Philadelphia.

Watkins caught four of his six targets for 33 yards in Sunday's 30-13 win over the Broncos.

Watkins saw more targets in this one than he had since Week 4, perhaps because Dallas Goedert (head) left with a possible concussion. The Southern Miss product still put up a lackluster yardage total though and has topped 50 yards just once this season, back in Week 2. He could be in line for greater production if Goedert is forced to miss any time, however.

Watkins caught two of his three targets for nine yards in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Chargers.

For the second-straight game, the Eagles attempted fewer than 20 passes, with DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert each seeing six. That left mere scraps for Watkins, the ostensible third receiving option on the team. While he continued his streak of at least a pair of catches in every game this season, the nine yards were his fewest of the year.

Watkins caught each of his two targets for 18 yards in Sunday's 44-6 win over the Lions.

Watkins has two or three catches in every game this season and continued that streak Sunday. He may see increased attention if Jalen Reagor (ankle) needs to miss time, however.

Watkins caught two of his four targets for 37 yards in Sunday's 33-22 loss to Las Vegas.

Watkins didn't see a target until midway through the third quarter with the Eagles trailing by 23. He kept his streak of at least two catches in every game this season intact. Unfortunately, the 23-year-old has only topped 50 yards once this year, and that was back in Week 2.

Watkins caught three of his five targets for 44 yards in Thursday's 28-22 loss to the Buccaneers.

Right now, it's clear that Watkins is ahead of Jalen Reagor (no catches on three targets) on the depth chart, at least when it comes to how Jalen Hurts sees it. While Reagor has played more snaps in every game but one this season, Watkins has generally produced equal or better numbers from game to game though neither has gone for more than 53 yards over the past four weeks.

Watkins caught all three of his targets for 48 yards in Sunday's 21-18 win over the Panthers.

The 23-year-old continues to outproduce Jalen Reagor and even out-snapped him for the first time this season 52-43. Watkins has also seen a red-zone target in each of the past two weeks, while Reagor has none at all this year. Watkins is still tough to rely on, however, because he has only one game all season with more than three targets.

Watkins (knee) was a full participant in Thursday's practice.

Watkins looks to be in the clear for Sunday's game at Carolina after he took every rep during Thursday's session after being listed as a limited participant a day earlier. The second-year player has been a steady complementary presence in the Jalen Hurts-led passing attack, totaling 10 receptions for 219 yards on 14 targets through the Eagles' first four contests.

Watkins (knee) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Tim McManus of ESPN.com reports.

The team's No. 3 receiver, Watkins has played between 48 and 66 percent of snaps in each game, including 58 percent Sunday when he saw a season-high seven targets in a 42-30 loss to the Chiefs. With No. 2 receiver Jalen Reagor struggling, Watkins has a chance to move up the depth chart if he puts the knee injury behind him quickly. The Eagles face Carolina in Week 5.

Watkins doubled his target total for the season in the game, although he didn't have much to show for it at the end of the day. Still, he played 43 snaps (58 percent), just nine fewer than Jalen Reagor, who was pretty much invisible the whole contest. Through four games, the Eagles' 2020 sixth-round pick has outproduced their first-rounder from the same draft class, with Watkins going 10-219 compared to Reagor's 14-116.

Watkins caught each of his two targets for 46 yards in Monday's 41-21 loss to Dallas.

Watkins accounted for the Eagles' longest gain of the day, fending off pass interference to pick up 41 yards in the third quarter. His day could have looked a lot better in the box score too, but he had two catches totaling 45 yards called back due to penalties. It looks like the Southern Miss product is gaining traction in the offense, as he was very close to putting up a second-straight game of at least 90 yards despite not seeing many targets so far this season.

Watkins recorded two receptions on two targets for 117 yards in Sunday's Week 2 loss to the 49ers.

Watkins saw only a pair of targets, but he made the most of them. His first reception came late in the first quarter and went for 26 yards. One drive later, he recorded a 91-yard reception, which came just shy of the end zone. Watkins has only five targets through two weeks, but it appears that the Eagles are intent on getting the ball in his hands at least a few times per contest.

Watkins caught all three of his targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 32-6 win over Atlanta.

Watkins drew the start and worked as the Eagles' third receiver in this one, showing the hype surrounding his preseason was legit. Oddly, however, all three of his catches came on the first three plays of the opening drive, and he wasn't targeted again despite the success. The 2020 sixth-round pick saw 34 snaps on offense -- two more than J.J. Arcega-Whiteside and Greg Ward combined -- and also served as the kick returner. Barring injury, the Southern Miss product will remain the fifth or sixth best receiving option in this offense going forward.

Watkins has been part of the first-team offense in joint practices with the Jets this week, NJ.com's Chris Franklin reports.

The 2020 sixth-round pick credits offseason work with Atlanta's Calvin Ridley for helping him improve as a route runner. Watkins' progress has been one of the biggest developments out of Philadelphia training camp, with the second-year pro now a real threat to push slot man Greg Ward out of the No. 3 receiver role. Watkins reportedly has been getting a lot of work from the slow, which is where he lined up when he took a screen pass 79 yards for a touchdown in the preseason opener against Pittsburgh.

Watkins failed to bring in his only target in the Eagles' 35-0 preseason loss to the Patriots on Thursday night.

Watkins recorded a 79-yard touchdown grab in the Eagles' preseason opener against the Steelers, but he couldn't replicate that success Thursday. The second-year wideout is fighting to move up the Eagles' crowded receiver depth chart, but he'll likely need a strong showing in the preseason finale against the Jets on Friday, Aug. 27 to have a shot at the No. 5 receiver role he's vying for.

Watkins (upper body) practiced with pads Tuesday, Mike Kaye of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.

Watkins was initially considered day-to-day after missing Saturday's practice, and he's almost back to full form. It's unclear if the rookie sixth-round pick was limited at all in practice, but he should be fully healthy for Week 1 nonetheless. With Jalen Reagor (shoulder) expected to miss a few weeks and Alshon Jeffrey (foot) still on the PUP list, Watkins has a solid chance to make the 53-man roster after posting 1,178 yards and six touchdowns in his final collegiate season.

Watkins did not participate in practice Saturday due to a upper-body injury, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

The report indicates Watkins is day-to-day with the undefined injury. The 2020 sixth-round pick hasn't necessarily stood out during training camp thus far, but the sheer volume of other qualified receiving threats have largely been the reason as opposed to any sort of shortcomings as a receiver. Expect to see Watkins return to the practice field in due time.

Watkins could pick up some of the slack after Marquise Goodwin opted out of the 2020 season, ESPN.com's Tim McManus reports.

The Eagles prioritized speed in late April, trading for an Olympic long jumper (Goodwin) after they'd used three draft picks on wideouts with sub-4.5 speed. Watkins, a 4.35 burner, was the last of those three selections as a sixth-rounder, arguably making him a candidate for the practice squad more so than the active roster. However, his chances to make the team now look much better, with Goodwin sitting out 2020 and Alshon Jeffery slow to recover from Lisfranc surgery. It's still a long shot for Watkins to have a significant role early in the season, but he could at least manage a spot at the bottom of the roster, potentially competing with Hightower to log some snaps as a part-time deep threat.
