Skyy Moore Injury News & Updates
Keep up with the latest injuries from the Panthers vs 49ers game on Monday with our National Football League injury report.Nov 17, 2025
Returns kickoff 98 yards Sunday
Moore was not targeted as a receiver while returning two kicks for 107 combined yards in Sunday's 41-22 win over Arizona.
ANALYSIS
Moore got things cooking for the 49ers when he ran back the game's opening kickoff for 98 yards. The return specialist was ran down at the one-yard line, which opened the door for Christian McCaffrey to finish off the easiest opening scoring drive in recent memory. Moore's impact was only felt in the return game, as he did not garner a target in the blowout win with Ricky Pearsall (knee) back in the fold. Fantasy managers can expect similar involvement from Moore in next Monday's tilt against Carolina.
Nov 10, 2025
Reception in consecutive games
Moore secured his only target for 18 yards in Sunday's 42-26 loss to the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Moore recorded a reception in consecutive games for the first time this season. The return specialist logged 11 snaps on offense (17 percent) while running back one punt and one kickoff in the loss to a division foe. Moore's role on offense remains too small for the receiver to make a fantasy impact against the Cardinals next Sunday.
Nov 3, 2025
Busy day returning kicks
Moore had one reception for 21 yards while returning five combined kicks for 85 yards in Sunday's 34-24 win over the Giants.
ANALYSIS
Moore played a role in the field position game for the 49ers after running back five of his six return opportunities Sunday. The return specialist set a new personal high with a 21-yard reception in the win, but it was also just his third catch (five targets) in eight appearances this season. Moore's minimal involvement on offense keeps him out of the fantasy picture in standard formats for next Sunday's tilt versus the Rams.
Oct 27, 2025
Splits snaps between offense and ST
Moore failed to collect his only target on offense while returning two kicks for 52 yards in Sunday's 26-15 loss to the Texans.
ANALYSIS
Moore overcame a minor ankle injury early in the practice week in order to split his time evenly between the offense and special teams Sunday (nine snaps apiece). The return specialist has garnered four targets across eight appearances this season, rendering him useless outside of formats that incorporate return yardage. Expect Moore to continue acting as the 49ers' primary return man while running a handful of routes on offense until the team's receiver room returns to full strength.
Oct 17, 2025
Ready for Week 7
Moore does not have an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Falcons, Briana Jeannael of the 49ers' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore began the week unable to practice due to an ankle injury, but he was able to get in some work both Thursday and Friday. He will be set to work primarily on special teams against the Falcons.
Oct 16, 2025
Limited participant Thursday
Moore (ankle) was a limited participant in practice Thursday after missing Wednesday's session, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
ANALYSIS
The wide receiver first appeared on the injury report Wednesday, likely indicating that he picked up the injury during the 49ers' Week 6 loss to the Buccaneers. Moore's return to practice might put him on track to suit up this Sunday against the Falcons, and if he can go, he might be able to get snaps amid a depleted receiving corps, as Jauan Jennings (ankle/rib/shoulder, LP), Ricky Pearsall (knee, DNP), Marquez Valdes-Scantling (calf, DNP) and Jordan Watkins (calf, LP) are all listed on the injury report, while Kendrick Bourne and Demarcus Robinson are San Francisco's only healthy options at the position.
Oct 15, 2025
Absent from practice
San Francisco coach Kyle Shanahan said Wednesday that Moore (ankle) is not practicing, Cam Inman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore appears to have sustained an ankle injury during the 49ers' loss to Tampa Bay in Week 6, making him uncertain for Sunday's contest against the Falcons. He hasn't logged a target on offense in back-to-back games, though Moore did compile a season-best 109 yards as a kick returner versus the Buccaneers, plus 25 yards as a punt returner. He remains off the fantasy radar in all formats other than deeper leagues that place a premium on return yardage.
Oct 13, 2025
No touches on offense
Moore logged three snaps (four percent) on offense and did not record a touch while generating 134 return yards on six combined attempts in Sunday's 30-19 loss to Tampa Bay.
ANALYSIS
Moore reverted to primarily operating as the 49ers' punt and kick returner after recording at least one target or one carry over his previous three appearances. The 24-year-old has just one reception for 10 yards in six appearances this season, leaving no room for fantasy utility. The song remains the same for Moore in next Sunday's tilt against Atlanta.
Oct 3, 2025
One carry on offense Thursday
Moore had one carry for one yard without being targeted as a receiver in Thursday's 26-23 win over the Rams.
ANALYSIS
Moore made his usual impact as a returner with 55 yards gained on three punt returns (and a shaky squib recovery on his only kick return). The 24-year-old split his 16 total snaps Thursday evenly between offense and special teams. Moore finished with zero targets after recording one in each of his previous two outings, but he did register his first carry as a member of the 49ers in the overtime win. As depleted as San Francisco's receiver room is at the moment, it doesn't appear that Moore's role will expand much passed the return game in Week 6 against Tampa Bay.
Sep 29, 2025
No receptions Sunday
Moore failed to bring in his only target on offense while returning four combined kicks for 96 yards in Sunday's 26-21 loss to the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Moore was used for eight snaps on offense (12 percent), but he failed to turn his lone target into a reception like he did last week. The 24-year-old is being used almost exclusively as a return specialist despite San Francisco's woes at the wide receiver position. We can expect more of the same from Moore when the 49ers visit the Rams on Thursday.
Sep 22, 2025
Gets involved on offense Sunday
Moore brought in his only target for 10 yards in Sunday's 16-15 win over the Cardinals.
ANALYSIS
Moore was on the field for 32 snaps on offense (52 percent) after logging a combined five snaps on that side of the ball over the first two weeks of the season. The 24-year-old still handled his usual return duties, racking up 87 combined return yards between three punts and two kickoffs. Moore may be strictly limited to special teams in Week 4 with Demarcus Robinson (suspension) expected to return against the Jaguars next Sunday.
Sep 8, 2025
Handles return duties for SF
Moore did not receive a target and returned five combined kicks for 63 yards in Sunday's 17-13 win over Seattle.
ANALYSIS
Moore latched on to San Francisco's 53-man roster in training camp, securing primary return man responsibilities in the process. The former Chief only logged three snaps on offense despite the 49ers being shorthanded at receiver to begin the year, wiping away any potential fantasy upside. Moore did put the ball on the ground on one of his five return attempts Sunday, but he was fortunate enough to recover his own mistake. The 24-year-old will continue serving as San Francisco's return specialist when the team travels to New Orleans in Week 2.
Aug 24, 2025
Makes first grab with 49ers
Moore recorded three receptions on six targets for 19 yards in Saturday's 30-23 preseason win over the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Moore technically didn't start, but he was heavily involved both on special teams and in the offense early in the game. His most notable contribution as a receiver came on a 12-yard catch on a pass delivered by Carter Bradley. However, his most likely path to contributing to start the regular season could be as a punt or kick returner, and he recorded a 26-yard kick return in Saturday's preseason finale.
Aug 21, 2025
Likely to play Saturday
San Francisco head coach Kyle Shanahan said Thursday that Moore is expected to suit up for Saturday's preseason finale against the Chargers, David Lombardi of SFStandard.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The 49ers and acquired Moore via trade from the Chiefs on Wednesday for a swap of late-round picks, and while he still needs to pass his physical upon arriving at team facilities Thursday, the 2022 second-round pick looks set to debut with his new squad quickly. Ricky Pearsall and Demarcus Robinson (suspension) are currently the only healthy options among San Francisco's top five wide receivers, and the latter won't be available the first three games of the regular season, so Moore could face immediate opportunities on offense if he's able to get up to speed quickly in Shanahan's scheme.
Aug 20, 2025
New opportunity with 49ers
Moore was traded from the Chiefs to the 49ers on Wednesday for a swap of late-round picks, NFL reporter Jordan Schultz reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore was on the roster bubble in Kansas City but will now get a new home. He isn't likely to ever deliver on the hype he received as a second-round pick in 2022, but he could have a role in the short term with Brandon Aiyuk (knee) and Demarcus Robinson (suspension) in line to miss the beginning of the season.
Aug 3, 2025
Back at practice
Moore (hamstring) is practicing Sunday, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Prior to Sunday, Moore hadn't practiced since exiting early Tuesday due to a hamstring injury. The issue doesn't appear to have been serious since Moore is back on the field less than a week later. Moore is trying to cement his place in a Chiefs wideout pecking order that is unsettled beyond top three options Rashee Rice, Xavier Worthy and Hollywood Brown (ankle).
Jul 29, 2025
Dealing with hamstring injury
Moore left Tuesday's training camp practice due to a hamstring injury, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore may have been pulled as a precautionary measure, but it does put his availability over the next few days in question. The 2022 second-rounder needs all the reps he can get, as he is competing for a depth spot on the Chiefs' 53-man roster after being limited to just six regular-season games in 2024 due to an abdominal injury. The absences of Moore, Xavier Worthy (head) and Hollywood Brown (ankle) will give Nikko Remigio, Tyquan Thornton and Jason Brownlee the opportunity to get more reps on offense during team drills.
May 30, 2025
Taking part in OTAs
Moore (abdomen) has been participating in Chiefs' OTAs this week, John Dillon of Chiefs Wire reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore was inactive for the Chiefs' Super Bowl loss to the Eagles due to the injury, but he's healthy again after appearing in just six contests last season. Moore was inactive from Week 8 onward in 2024 and is likely running out of chances in Kansas City as he heads into the final year of his rookie contract.
Feb 8, 2025
Officially ruled out for Super Bowl
Moore (abdomen) was not activated off injured reserve on Saturday and has been ruled out for Super Bowl LIX against the Eagles on Sunday, per the NFL's transaction report.
ANALYSIS
Moore was able to practice in a limited fashion this week, but he was unable to progress enough in his recovery from an abdominal injury to be activated off IR. Moore will finish the 2024 campaign having played just six regular-season games without recording a catch.
Feb 7, 2025
Officially doubtful for Super Bowl
Moore (abdomen), who remains on IR, was limited in practice Friday and is officially listed as doubtful for Super Bowl LIX against the Eagles on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
Moore doesn't appear likely to be activated to the 53-man roster from IR in time to contribute in the Super Bowl against Philadelphia on Sunday. The 2022 second-round pick didn't record a catch on three targets across his six regular-season appearances in 2024.
Feb 6, 2025
Logs another limited practice
Moore (abdomen) was listed as a limited practice participant on Thursday's injury report.
ANALYSIS
Moore has logged limited practices in consecutive practices this week. He's considered doubtful to play Sunday's Super Bowl game against the Eagles, and it doesn't appear likely that he will be activated from IR unless he's able to practice in full Friday.
Feb 5, 2025
Limited to open week
Moore (abdomen) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Moore has been on injured reserve since late October due to a core-muscle injury, which was severe enough for the 2022 second-round pick to be placed on injured reserve. His practice window to return from IR opened this past Thursday, and on Friday's injury report he was officially listed as doubtful for Super Bowl LIX against the Eagles on Sunday. However, Moore would give himself a better chance at being activated from IR and playing Sunday were he to fully participate in either or both of the next two practices this week.
Jan 31, 2025
Listed as doubtful for Super Bowl
Moore (abdomen) was limited in Friday's practice and is officially listed as doubtful for Super Bowl LIX against the Eagles on Feb. 9.
ANALYSIS
Moore has logged two limited practice sessions since being designated for return from IR, but he's trending in the wrong direction to be able to contribute versus Philadelphia in the Super Bowl. The Chiefs will host one more week of practices prior to deciding Moore's status, so it's possible he could still be activated to the 53-man roster if he can impress in his remaining opportunities.
Jan 30, 2025
Practice window opens Thursday
The Chiefs designated Moore (abdomen) to return from injured reserve Thursday, Jesse Newell of The Kansas City Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore was placed on injured reserve Oct. 24 due to a core-muscle injury. He wasn't expected to return for the postseason, but Kansas City opted to open the 2022 second-round pick's 21-day practice window. He was spotted working out with the returners during Thursday's practice and was officially listed as a limited participant. If Moore is able to log full practices next week, he could be activated to the Chiefs' 53-man roster for Super Bowl LIX against the Eagles on Sunday, Dec. 9.
Dec 30, 2024
Not expected to return in postseason
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said Monday that there's no return plan for Moore (abdomen) in the postseason, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore has been on IR since late October due to a core-muscle injury. While Reid said Monday that fellow wideout Mecole Hardman (knee) has a chance of returning at some point in the playoffs, that doesn't appear to be the case for Moore. As such, it's likely that the third-year wideout's campaign will come to an end with Moore having logged no catches on three targets over six games.
Oct 24, 2024
Lands on IR
Moore has been placed on IR due to a core muscle injury.
ANALYSIS
Moore joins fellow WRs Hollywood Brown (shoulder) and Rashee Rice (knee) on IR, with the move occurring on the same day that DeAndre Hopkins officially joined the Chiefs. The soonest Moore can return to game action is Nov. 24 against the Panthers. Prior to his placement on IR, the 2022 second-rounder did not record a catch on three targets in six games.
Oct 23, 2024
Fails to reel in lone target
Moore played 33 of the Chiefs' 70 snaps on offense and failed to haul in his lone target in Sunday's 28-18 win over the 49ers. He also returned a kickoff for 28 yards.
ANALYSIS
Moore's 47 percent snap share was his highest rate of the season, but he was unable to connect with quarterback Patrick Mahomes and remains without a reception through the Chiefs' first six games. Though Hollywood Brown (shoulder) and Rashee Rice (knee) are out for the regular season and JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring) is set to miss Sunday's game in Las Vegas, Moore is unlikely to see his role dramatically increase in Week 8. The Chiefs are in advanced talks with the Titans in a trade to acquire DeAndre Hopkins, whose arrival would push Moore down another spot on the depth chart.
Oct 1, 2024
Catchless day again
Moore didn't record a reception (on two targets) during Sunday's 17-10 victory over the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Moore could see additional reps at wide receiver moving forward, with the team's two top expected weapons at the position, Hollywood Brown (shoulder) and Rashee Rice (knee), likely down for an extended period. However, Moore logged just 13 snaps following Rice's departure Sunday, so there may not be that much upside for the second-year wideout, even with a slightly clearer path to snaps. Xavier Worthy (45), Justin Watson (43) and JuJu Smith-Schuster (32) all played more snaps than Moore, and Noah Gray (32 snaps) may also see additional work if the team elects to run more two-tight end sets moving forward.
Sep 17, 2024
Minimal run in Week 2
Moore logged just five snaps in Sunday's game versus the Bengals.
ANALYSIS
Moore played just eight percent of the offensive snaps in the contest, ranking fifth among wideouts in the category. The third-year wideout has clearly fallen behind in the pecking order for playing time at this point and is best left on the waiver wire in nearly all formats, barring multiple injuries at the position that would open up playing time.
Sep 6, 2024
Fails to make an impact Week 1
Moore played 10 offensive snaps (19 percent) but was not targeted in the Chiefs' 27-20 win over the Ravens on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
Moore wasn't able to record any offensive statistics in Kansas City's season-opener. Rookie first-round pick Xavier Worthy logging a two-TD debut effectively curtails any lingering hope that Moore would manage a late breakout, especially once Marquise Brown (shoulder) manages to get healthy. With Rashee Rice, Worthy and Brown all available, Moore may not end up being active on gamedays.
Apr 23, 2024
Needs to earn spot on roster
Moore isn't a lock to make the 2024 roster, according to ESPN's Adam Teicher.
ANALYSIS
The 2022 second-round pick has averaged 1.4 catches for 16.5 yards through 30 regular-season games, mostly serving as Kansas City's fourth or fifth wide receiver. It won't be surprising if Moore ends up earning a depth job again, though his fate partially depends on how things play out with the 2024 NFL Draft, Rashee Rice's legal situation and Kadarius Toney's health, among other factors. Rice and free-agent signing Marquise Brown figure to play a lot when available, though neither can exactly be called reliable at this point in time. Even so, Moore's lack of playing time and production through two seasons suggests he's not the most likely beneficiary in the event things go south for Rice and/or Brown. The Chiefs seem more optimistic about Toney and Justin Watson, and they might devote an early draft pick to the position.
Feb 7, 2024
Logs full practice Wednesday
Moore (knee) was a full practice participant Wednesday.
ANALYSIS
On the day in which the Chiefs activated him from injured reserve, Moore handled every on-field rep after being contained to three limited listings during the first week of Super Bowl LVIII prep. It remains to be seen how much the team incorporates him into the offense Sunday against the 49ers, but in three of five games before sustaining a swollen knee Week 15, he logged at least a 49 percent snap share.
Feb 7, 2024
Comes off IR
The Chiefs activated Moore (knee) from injured reserve Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
After designating Moore for return from IR on Jan. 17, the Chiefs had until this Wednesday to get him back on the active roster, or his season thus would be over. Now that the transaction has been made, he has a chance for his first game action since Week 15 in Super Bowl LVIII against the 49ers this Sunday, but he likely will need to be more this week than the limited participant that he was on all three of Kansas City's practice reports last week. Wednesday's upcoming injury report will reveal whether not not Moore is that much closer to being available to the offense again.
Feb 2, 2024
Questionable after first week of SB prep
Moore (knee) was limited at Friday's practice and is listed as questionable after the first week of prep for Super Bowl LVIII against the 49ers.
ANALYSIS
The Chiefs placed Moore on injured reserve after Week 15 due to a swollen knee, which so far has sidelined him for six consecutive contests. Because the team designated him for return from IR on Jan. 17, a decision to activate him will need to take place by next Wednesday, and there's no telling if he's done enough to get back on the active roster after being listed as limited on all three practice reports this week. If he does, Moore should retain a small role in a Kansas City receiving corps with modest options behind No. 1 Rashee Rice on Sunday, Feb. 11.
Feb 1, 2024
Listed as limited again
Moore (knee) was a limited participant in practice Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Moore had the same listing on Wednesday's estimated practice report, after not practicing at all ahead of the AFC Championship Game against Baltimore. The Chiefs will need to activate him from injured reserve before next Thursday in order to have the wide receiver available for a part-time role in the Super Bowl against San Francisco. It's unclear if that will happen or not.
Jan 31, 2024
Listed as limited
Moore (knee) is listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report.
ANALYSIS
Moore last played Week 15 and was designated Jan. 17 for a return from injured reserve. The Chiefs will need to activate him from IR by Feb. 7 to have him eligible for the Super Bowl on Feb. 11, but even if that happens Moore might not have much of a role. He played just 35 and 25 percent of snaps in his final two games before landing on IR, and he hasn't seen more than three targets in a game since Week 6.
Jan 26, 2024
Won't play Sunday
Moore (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Ravens.
ANALYSIS
Moore, who was designated to return from injured reserve Jan. 17, didn't practice at all this week and will thus target a potential return to action Feb. 11 should the Chiefs advance to the Super Bowl. Prior to suffering his knee injury, Moore had logged 21 catches on 38 targets for 244 yards and a touchdown in 14 regular season contests.
Jan 24, 2024
Won't practice Wednesday
Moore (knee) is not participating in Wednesday's practice, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore, whose 21-day window for the Chiefs to evaluate him for a return from injured reserve was opened Jan. 17, wasn't able to suit up for last weekend's divisional-round win over the Bills, and he still isn't ready to practice. As such, Moore is looking like an unlikely candidate to be cleared in time for Sunday's AFC Divisional matchup against the Ravens, though he'll still have two more chances to prove his health on the practice field. It's quite possible that Kansas City is evaluating him with a potential Super Bowl return in mind, should the team advance that far.
Jan 19, 2024
Won't play this week
Moore (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game at Buffalo, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore returned to practice Wednesday, opening his 21-day window to be activated from injured reserve. His role had declined even before the knee injury, but he might still make it back as a part-time player later this postseason if the Chiefs continue to advance.
Jan 17, 2024
Designated for IR return
Moore (knee) is practicing Wednesday, opening his 21-day window for a return from injured reserve, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore thus has a chance to return during the playoffs, and perhaps as soon as Sunday's game in Buffalo. He doesn't figure to get a lot of playing time, however, as his role was scaled back a few weeks prior to the knee injury that sent him to injured reserve in mid-December. Reduced playing time for Moore helped facilitate more snaps for Rashee Rice and, to a lesser extent, Justin Watson.
Dec 21, 2023
Playoff return possible
Moore (knee) could return this season if the team advances far enough in the playoffs, according to head coach Andy Reid, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore won't be eligible to return until the divisional round of the playoffs after going on injured reserve Monday, so it sounds like it's possible he may only need the minimum of four weeks to recover. The Western Michigan product ended his second regular season with very similar stats as his rookie campaign, making just 21 catches on 38 targets for 244 yards and a touchdown, despite playing 174 more snaps on offense.
Dec 18, 2023
Placed on IR with knee injury
Moore (knee) was placed on injured reserve Monday, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore will miss the remainder of the regular season. He left Sunday's 27-17 win over the Patriots due to knee swelling, and the injury is significant enough to require a stint on injured reserve. Moore finishes his disappointing sophomore season with 21 catches for 244 yards on 38 targets, three carries for 23 yards and zero scrimmage touchdowns.
Dec 13, 2023
Non-factor against Bills
Moore was unable to secure his lone target in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Moore was held without a catch for the third time this season, while playing just 35 percent of the Chiefs' offensive snaps Sunday. Through 13 games, the second-year wideout has posted just 21 catches for 244 yards and one touchdown, underwhelming fantasy managers hoping for a breakout sophomore campaign entering the season. With limited opportunities in Kansas City's struggling offense, Moore is not a reliable fantasy option in most formats. Moore and the Chiefs are set to visit the Patriots in Week 15.
Dec 6, 2023
Reels in one catch
Moore secured one of two targets for five yards in Sunday's 27-19 loss to the Packers.
ANALYSIS
Moore's 44 offensive snap total was the second-highest of all Chiefs wide receivers Sunday, behind Rashee Rice (44), but ahead of Justin Watson (40), Marquez Valdes-Scantling (33) and Kadarius Toney (12). The second-year wideout continues to underwhelm with limited opportunities and should not be considered a viable fantasy option in most formats. Moore's next opportunity to bouce back from Sunday's one-catch performance will be a Week 14 matchup with the Bills, a game with shootout potential.
Nov 28, 2023
Reels in all three targets
Moore gathered in all three targets for 34 yards during Sunday's 31-17 victory over the Raiders.
ANALYSIS
Moore hadn't tallied more than a pair of catches in a game since Week 3 and hasn't finished with more receiving yards since then, either. That said, neither his receptions nor receiving yards are particularly impressive from a fantasy standpoint. The second-year wideout hasn't found pay dirt since Week 2 and can safely remain on the waiver wire in most formats.
Nov 21, 2023
Snares one pass versus Eagles
Moore had one reception (on two targets) for four yards during Monday's 21-17 defeat against the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Moore hasn't hauled in more than two passes since Week 3 and turned in his lowest receiving total since Week 4's goose egg Monday night. He also has outputs of 11, 15 and eight yards among his last five contests, so there's little to get excited about regarding the second-year wideout's fantasy prospects. He did, at least, see an uptick in playing time again, logging 51 percent of the offensive snaps after logging just 23 percent last time out, but he hasn't drawn more than three targets in any of the last four games.
Nov 7, 2023
Playing time drops in Week 9
Moore caught two of three targets for 33 yards during Sunday's 21-14 victory versus the Dolphins.
ANALYSIS
Moore logged just 25 percent of the offensive snaps for the Chiefs in Week 9, his lowest percentage of the season. His stat line falls on par with previous weeks, with his two grabs matching his output in three of the previous four games, but he did finish with his highest receiving yardage total since Week 3 against the Bears. Regardless, there's little to get excited about surrounding the second-year wideout's fantasy prospects the rest of the way.
Oct 31, 2023
Another dud outing in Week 8
Moore posted one reception (on three targets) for eight yards during Sunday's 24-9 defeat versus Denver.
ANALYSIS
Moore hasn't surpassed two receptions in a game since Week 3 and finished third among wideouts with just 33 offensive snaps, trailing Rashee Rice (37) and Marquez Valdes-Scantling (35). There's little reason to roster Moore in any but dynasty or deep fantasy formats, considering how widespread the targets are outside of Travis Kelce.
Oct 24, 2023
Continues to disappoint
Moore had two receptions (on three targets) for 15 yards during Sunday's 31-17 victory over the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
While Moore ranked second on the team in terms of snaps among Chiefs wideouts Sunday, he turned in just two catches for the third straight game and hasn't drawn more than four targets since Week 3. Rookie Rashee Rice has outperformed the second-year wideout on a weekly basis and has drawn 20 targets to Moore's 11 over the past four games, so things seem to be trending in different directions for the two young wideouts.
Oct 16, 2023
Pair of catches Thursday
Moore hauled in two of his four targets for 22 yards during Thursday's 19-8 victory over Denver.
ANALYSIS
Moore has just four catches for 33 yards on eight targets to his name over the last three games, so the second-year wideout doesn't seem to be making much headway in the fantasy realm. There are simply no reliable fantasy wide receivers on the Chiefs on a week-to-week basis with a deep but rather mediocre room rotating in, so Moore can be left on the waiver wire in the vast majority of fantasy formats.
Oct 10, 2023
Snares two passes in Week 5
Moore caught all two targets for 11 yards during Sunday's 27-20 victory over the Vikings.
ANALYSIS
Moore's production is a slight upgrade from the empty outing in the receptions column last week, though he also tallied a pair of rushes for 19 yards against the Jets. Either way, Moore reverted to being a fantasy dud after a couple of promising outings in Weeks 2 and 3, when he combined for seven catches for 112 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets. Until there is an upswing in the second-year wideout's production, he can be left on the bench or waiver wire in most formats.
Oct 3, 2023
No impact on box score against Jets
Moore didn't reel in either of his targets during Sunday's 23-20 win over the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Moore finished the game behind only Justin Watson in snap count, but it remains a desolate fantasy landscape among the wide receivers in terms of fantasy impact since the departure of Tyreek Hill for Miami. Despite the healthy playing time, Moore finished behind Rashee Rice (five) and Noah Gray (three) in targets, along with Travis Kelce (nine), and he matched Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Kadarius Toney with two. The passing game, on the whole, displayed some struggles, with Patrick Mahomes tossing multiple interceptions for the first time since Week 14 of last season. Next week's matchup against the Vikings should provide the passing attack with an opportunity to get back on track.
Sep 26, 2023
Amasses six targets
Moore notched four receptions (on six targets) for 42 yards during Sunday's 41-10 win against Chicago.
ANALYSIS
Moore was also targeted a seventh time, though that play was scrapped due to a defensive offside. That said, two of his official six targets came when backup Blaine Gabbert was in after the Chiefs went up 41-0 on the Bears early in the second half, and they accounted for 17 of his 42 receiving yards on the day. Moore did reach pay dirt in Week 3, but he remains an inconsistent producer from a fantasy standpoint. He will likely be a touchdown-dependent option potentially worth rostering in deeper or dynasty fantasy formats.

Finds end zone in Week 2 win
Moore caught three of four targets for 70 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 17-9 win over Jacksonville.
ANALYSIS
Moore caught a nine-yard touchdown in the final minute of the first half. It was the first regular-season receiving touchdown for the 2022 second-round draft pick, who also caught one in the Super Bowl against the Eagles. Most of Moore's yardage came on Kansas City's last pass of the game, as he got free for a 54-yard gain to convert a crucial third down. Moore will look to build on this performance in Week 3 against the Bears.

Quiet in Week 1 loss
Moore failed to bring in any of his three targets and rushed once for four yards in the Chiefs' 21-20 loss to the Lions on Thursday night.
ANALYSIS
No one member of the Chiefs' pass-catching corps saw a major boost in production from the absence of Travis Kelce (knee), and Moore couldn't do anything with his three opportunities. The second-year wideout will be one of several explosive components of Kansas City's air attack this season, but Patrick Mahomes targeted a total of 12 players Thursday in Kelce's absence, so the night wasn't exactly a good gauge of how matters will evolve on that side of the ball. Moore will be one of multiple members of the receiving corps looking to atone for an underwhelming opener during a Week 2 road matchup against the Jaguars a week from Sunday.

Earns every-down role
Chiefs GM Brett Veach suggested Wednesday that Moore will start the season in an every-down role, Jesse Newell of the KC Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Veach said fellow young receivers Rashee Rice and Justyn Ross will start the year as "package" players but could eventually progress to every-down roles. Moore apparently is already there, earning a top-three spot this summer after spending most of his rookie season fourth or fifth on the depth chart. He and Marquez Valdes-Scantling are the favorites to lead Kansas City's WRs in snaps Week 1 against Detroit, though Kadarius Toney (knee) could also be a big part of the passing game if he's healthy enough to play.
Aug 13, 2023
Starts preseason opener
Moore started but was not targeted in limited action during Sunday's 26-24 preseason-opening loss to the Saints.
ANALYSIS
Moore began the game alongside Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Justin Watson in Kansas City's first-team offense. However, with superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes featuring for just one drive, Moore too was withdrawn early on, allowing rookies Rashee Rice and Justyn Ross more opportunities. Coming off just 22 catches last season, Moore -- a 2022 second-rounder -- could grow in importance in the buildup to the upcoming campaign, as fellow wideout Kadarius Toney (knee) is likely out for the preseason.
Aug 10, 2023
Working with starters regularly
Moore is dominating first-team snaps in two-wide formations at training camp, Jesse Newell of the KC Star reports.
ANALYSIS
Newell also mentions that Rashee Rice and Justyn Ross have only occasionally mixed in with the starters and "overwhelmingly" are working with the second unit. Moore and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, on the other hand, primarily have caught passes from Patrick Mahomes. Meanwhile, Chiefs GM Brett Veach said Monday that he expects Kadarius Toney (knee) to be ready for Week 1, which would give the Chiefs another candidate to start at wide receiver

Getting look as top slot man
Moore appears set to enter training camp as the Chiefs' top slot receivers after an impressive showing in mandatory minicamp last month, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports. "Skyy's worked real hard this offseason," head coach Andy Reid said during minicamp. "He looks like he's on the same page with Patrick [Mahomes]. Let's keep on advancing as we go. He'll do that because he's wired right to do that."
ANALYSIS
Moore had some notable ball-security issues as a return man and was limited to a part-time role on offense as a reserve wideout during his rookie season, finishing with just 22 catches for 250 yards and no touchdowns across 33 targets. Though the Chiefs didn't lean on him much to fill in for the departed Tyreek Hill in 2022, Moore looks like he'll be asked to serve as more of a direct replacement in 2023 for JuJu Smith-Schuster, who left for the Patriots in free agency. Moore already seems to have an early edge on locking down the slot receiver job, but he'll need to continue to shine in training camp and the preseason in order to hold off the likes of Rashee Rice, Justin Watson and Justyn Ross for the gig. Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Kadarius Toney are the Chiefs' other two projected starting wideouts.

Catches TD in Super Bowl
Moore finished his rookie campaign with 22 receptions on 33 targets for 250 receiving yards across 16 regular-season appearances. He added three rushes for 24 rushing yards and operated as a kick- and punt-returner in 2022.
ANALYSIS
Moore caught five passes in back-to-back games during Weeks 11 and 12, totaling 99 receiving yards during that stretch, but he was also held without a catch in six games and had only one reception five times during the regular season. Due to his lack of targets, Moore was irrelevant in standard fantasy leagues despite Kansas City's lack of wideout depth, but he's still a core piece of the Chiefs' future and could make a sizable impact in Year 2 with Mecole Hardman and JuJu Smith-Schuster set for free agency this offseason. The rookie had at least one reception in each of his three playoff appearances, including a seven-target outing in the AFC Championship Game and a big touchdown in the Super Bowl.

Cleared for divisional round
Moore (hand) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Moore sat out the Chiefs' regular-season finale against the Raiders on Jan. 7 due to a laceration on his right hand, but he looks to be feeling fine coming out of Kansas City's bye week during the opening round of the postseason. Kansas City could remain without Mecole Hardman (pelvis) for Saturday's divisional-round matchup with the Jaguars, but his absence didn't open up extensive work for Moore when the rookie last suited up Week 17 against the Broncos. Moore recorded three catches for 33 yards on four targets in that contest but played just 26 percent of the Chiefs' snaps on offense.
Jan 5, 2023
Ruled out for Week 18
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said Moore will be listed as out for Saturday's game due to a lacerated right hand, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The injury prompted Moore's early exit from last Sunday's win over the Broncos and resulted in his practice reps being managed carefully for Week 18. Though the rookie wideout doesn't appear to be dealing with a long-term concern, he'll sit out the regular-season finale with the hope of being back to full strength for the start of the postseason. Once healthy, Moore may not have much of a role for Kansas City, as the Chiefs have all their other key receivers available now that Mecole Hardman (pelvis) has been reinstated from injured reserve. The second-round pick out of Western Michigan finishes the regular season with 22 catches for 250 yards on 33 targets to go with 24 yards on three carries.
Jan 5, 2023
Limited in practice Wednesday
Moore (hand) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Moore upgrade his practice activity after beginning the week with a 'DNP' on Tuesday. Charles Goldman of USA Today reports that Moore's hand is still swollen and sore, but he will have one more chance to upgrade his status ahead of Saturday's contest against the Raiders.
Jan 3, 2023
DNP on Tuesday
Moore (hand) was a non-participant at Tuesday's practice.
ANALYSIS
Moore was forced out of Sunday's win versus the Broncos with a hand injury, which is keeping him off the practice field two days later. The Chiefs have begun prep for a Week 18 road matchup with the Raiders, giving the rookie second-round pick just two more chances for on-field work ahead of Saturday's scheduled 4:30 p.m. ET kickoff.
Jan 1, 2023
Hurts hand in Week 17
Moore won't return to Sunday's game against the Broncos after suffering a hand injury.
ANALYSIS
Prior to being forced out of the contest, Moore caught three of his four targets for 33 yards. In his absence, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Justin Watson and Kadarius Toney will handle Kansas City's Week 17 wide receiver duties.
Dec 20, 2022
Two touches in Week 15
Moore compiled zero targets during Sunday's 30-24 overtime victory versus the Texans.
ANALYSIS
Moore played just 38 percent of the snaps in this one and failed to draw a target for the second time in the last three weeks. He's not worth rostering in any format outside of dynasty and the deepest redraft formats, as the rookie hasn't logged more than 44 percent of the offensive snaps in a game all season.
Dec 13, 2022
Continues to play small role
Moore tallied one reception (on two targets) for seven yards during Sunday's 34-28 win over the Broncos.
ANALYSIS
Moore posted just one touch for a second straight week after tallying five catches each in Weeks 11 and 12. The rookie's role hasn't grown much as the season has gone on, having yet to play 50-plus percent of the snaps in a game, but he has played 39-plus percent of the offensive snaps in each of the last four. Still, Moore's primarily a stash in dynasty and keeper formats at this point.
Dec 6, 2022
Just one touch Week 13
Moore logged zero targets during Sunday's 27-24 defeat versus the Bengals but rushed once for 12 yards.
ANALYSIS
Moore hasn't really seized a consistent role in the Chiefs' offense, but he's taken on a slightly more significant role over the last few weeks following the injuries to Mecole Hardman (abdomen) and Kadrius Toney (hamstring). Moore did collect five passes in each of the previous two games, so he does have a bit more upside than he displayed in this one.
Nov 27, 2022
Team-high five catches Sunday
Moore caught five of six targets for 36 yards in Sunday's 26-10 win over the Rams.
ANALYSIS
While another lost fumble on a punt return may end up costing him those duties on a permanent basis, Moore made up for it by leading Kansas City in receptions on the afternoon, even if the receptions didn't result in much yardage. The rookie has caught five passes in back-to-back games as he takes advantage of injuries to Mecole Hardman (abdomen) and Kadarius Toney (hamstring), giving him some deep-league fantasy intrigue heading into a Week 13 clash with the Bengals.
Nov 21, 2022
Takes advantage of injuries
Moore caught five of six targets for 63 yards in Sunday's 30-27 win over the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
The Chiefs entered Week 11 already down JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion) and Mecole Hardman (abdomen), and they lost Kadarius Toney (hamstring) before halftime Sunday. The team's injury misfortune opened up an opportunity for Moore to put his skills on display. The rookie wideout did just that, setting new career highs in receptions (five) and receiving yards (63). It is currently unclear if Kansas City's receiver room will get any healthier next week, so the 22-year-old could find himself starting opposite Marquez Valdes-Scantling against the Rams next Sunday. If that scenario were to unfold, Moore could be a sneaky play in Week 12, especially if shutdown corner Jalen Ramsey is tasked with covering the more-proven MVS.
Nov 15, 2022
Little production sans JuJu, Hardman
Moore was targeted once and recorded a six-yard reception across his 15 snaps on offense in Sunday's 27-17 loss to the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
The absence of Mecole Hardman (abdomen) and the early exit of JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion) didn't yield more playing time for Moore, whose 24 percent offensive snap share matched his mark from the Week 9 win over the Titans. Rather than Moore, it was Justin Watson (45 snaps) and Kadarius Toney (28 snaps) who saw the biggest spikes in playing time among the Kansas City wideouts. In addition to losing reps at receiver to Toney, Moore also yielded punt-return duties to the trade-deadline pickup after a string of miscues on special teams in recent weeks.
Nov 8, 2022
Another blank in box score
Moore didn't catch his lone target during Sunday's 20-17 overtime victory versus the Titans.
ANALYSIS
Moore hasn't been relied on for a heavy role during his rookie campaign, logging no more than a 33 percent offensive snap share in a game thus far. However, given the draft capital the team put into Moore -- a second-round pick -- it's unlikely he will be forgotten yet. Still, the Chiefs acquired Kadarius Toney at the trade deadline and already sport three capable options in JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Mecole Hardman, along with star tight end Travis Kelce, so there may be few snaps remaining for Moore this season.
Oct 25, 2022
Comes up empty
Moore didn't reel in his lone target during Sunday's 44-23 win versus San Francisco.
ANALYSIS
Moore also fumbled a punt, which was recovered by the 49ers, so it wasn't exactly a banner day for the rookie wideout. Moore also logged just 14 offensive snaps (22 percent), so he's likely nothing more than a stash for dynasty and deep leagues at this juncture. Mecole Hardman, Marquez Valdes-Sacantlying and JuJu Smith-Schuster rank ahead of him in the pecking order. Still, Moore could unlock a more prominent role if one of the group misses time, given his versatility to play both in the slot and out wide.
Oct 19, 2022
Catches one pass in loss
Moore caught one of three targets for 24 yards in Sunday's 24-20 loss to the Bills.
ANALYSIS
Moore once again had a quiet game with limited opportunities in Kansas City's offensive attack. However, he has seen his snap percentage increase in recent weeks as the Chiefs look to get the talented rookie involved more in the offense. If this trend continues, Moore could be an intriguing fantasy option down the stretch based on his playmaking ability. With that said, the 5-foot-10, 195-pound wideout will be difficult to rely in a Week 7 matchup with the 49ers.
Oct 11, 2022
Small contribution Monday
Moore logged two receptions (on three targets) for 15 yards during Monday's 30-29 win versus Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Moore did see a slight uptick to 25 offensive snaps in this one, marking a career-high total on that front. It also represents back-to-back weeks the rookie has posted career-best outputs. To be fair, the Chiefs trailed 17-0 and 20-7 in this one, so there was a more pass-heavy approach than usual that likely contributed to Moore's uptick. Still, it's an encouraging sign to see Moore a bit more involved in the offense.
Oct 5, 2022
Catches two passes in win
Moore caught two of four targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 41-31 win over the Buccaneers.
ANALYSIS
Moore played 22 offensive snaps in Week 4, marking his highest total of the season so far. It's possible the Kansas City coaching staff is making an effort to get the rookie more involved as the season goes on, as his playmaking ability would be a great weapon for the Chiefs' high-flying offense. With that said, Moore operated as the team's No. 4 wideout behind Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Juju Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes is spreading the ball around to his pass catchers thus far, so Moore's piece of the offensive pie could continue to be limited barring injuries to his fellow receivers. The 22-year-old's increased usage is a promising sign, but he'll likely be difficult to trust for fantasy in a Week 5 matchup with the Raiders.
Sep 27, 2022
No targets, muffs punt in Week 3
Moore wasn't targeted across his eight snaps on offense in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Colts.
ANALYSIS
Moore has played just 10 offensive snaps over the Chiefs' last two games and hasn't been targeted in either contest. While Kansas City has all its passing-game options available, Moore looks like he'll be largely relegated to special-teams duties. Even his role as a return man could be on thin ice, as he had a muffed punt in the first quarter that sent up the Colts' first touchdown of the day.
Sep 18, 2022
No targets in Week 2
Moore tallied zero targets during Thursday's 27-24 victory against the Chargers.
ANALYSIS
Moore played just two total offensive snaps in the contest and looks to be fifth in the pecking order at wide receiver behind Marquez Valdes-Scantling, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Mecole Hardman and Justin Watson. That could change as it gets deeper into the season and the rookie wideout gets more adjusted to the pro level.
Sep 13, 2022
One grab in NFL debut
Moore hauled in their only target for 30 yards during Sunday's 44-21 win over Arizona.
ANALYSIS
Moore wasn't heavily involved in the offensive gameplan in the opener, logging just 13 total snaps on offense. However, his lone reception did come while Patrick Mahomes was under center early in the second half. He could move up in the pecking order should other wideouts miss time, but it appears he's mainly in development mode early in the season.
Aug 26, 2022
Limited to return duties Thursday
Moore didn't see an official target but returned two punts for 51 yards in Thursday's preseason game against the Packers.
ANALYSIS
The 2022 second-round pick was the intended target of a Chad Henne incompletion deep down the sideline on Kansas City's second possession of the game, but the play was wiped out by defensive pass interference. Moore's role on offense this preseason has been almost exclusively as a deep threat, and he may be taking over Mecole Hardman's spot from last season while Hardman moves into Tyreek Hill's.
Aug 20, 2022
Targeted deep by Mahomes
Moore didn't catch his only target in Saturday's 24-14 preseason win over Washington and added a one-yard punt return.
ANALYSIS
Patrick Mahomes looked for Moore deep twice over the team's first two drives. Neither pass connected, though one of the plays was nullified by an offensive holding penalty. Moore's usage alongside the Chiefs' star quarterback is a promising sign regarding the rookie second-round pick's role, even if his chemistry with Mahomes still is developing at this point.
Aug 13, 2022
Catches three passes
Moore caught three passes for 23 yards in Saturday's preseason loss to the Bears.
ANALYSIS
Moore wasn't a factor in Patrick Mahomes' lone drive of the night, but he caught one pass from Chad Henne in the first quarter and two more from Shane Buechele in the second. He'll be using the preseason to prove he deserves a meaningful role this season, though he may be stuck behind Juju Smith-Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Mecole Hardman on the depth chart.
Aug 3, 2022
Quick return to practice
Moore (hip) returned to practice Wednesday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The quick return to practice suggests Moore escaped with little more than a bruise when he departed Tuesday's session early. The second-round pick is back on the field fighting for reps in a WR corps that includes veterans JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Mecole Hardman.
Aug 2, 2022
Injures hip in practice
Moore left Tuesday's practice early due to a hip injury, Matt McCullen of the Chiefs' official website reports.
ANALYSIS
Moore is competing for roles in a WR group that also includes JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Mecole Hardman. It's a favorable situation for the rookie second-round pick to make an impact, but also one where missed practice time could hurt his chances to get on the field at all. Moore previously missed most of OTAs and minicamp with a hamstring injury.
Jul 23, 2022
Healthy to open camp
Moore (hamstring) participated in Saturday's practice, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
This follows a statement from the rookie second-rounder Friday in which he told Pete Sweeney of ArrowheadPride.com that he's "100 percent" after dealing with a hamstring issue during the offseason program. On Saturday, coach Andy Reid noted Moore "looked smooth and strong," and "his leg looked like it healed up well." Now that Moore is healthy, he'll look to make inroads in a wide receiver group that lost Tyreek Hill this offseason, leaving the likes of JuJu Smith-Schuster, Mecole Hardman, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Moore to vie for slotting at the top of the depth chart.
Jun 19, 2022
On track for training camp
Moore (hamstring) was "still getting up to speed" at June minicamp but nonetheless took reps with both the first- and second-team offenses, The Associated Press reports.
ANALYSIS
It's a sign of progress after the hamstring injury kept Moore off the field throughout most of OTAs. He's seemingly on track to be a full-go at the beginning of training camp, with a nice opportunity ahead as a rookie second-round pick in a pass-happy offense that lost WR Tyreek Hill in the offseason. JuJu Smith-Schuster, Mecole Hardman and Marquez Valdes-Scantling represent the primary competition for snaps and WR targets, though the Chiefs might also use their backup tight ends a bit more with Hill removed from the picture.
May 7, 2022
Picks up hamstring injury
Moore could be limited during the Chiefs' rookie OTAs due to a hamstring injury,Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
The 2022 second-round pick didn't have any major ailments pre-Draft so this hardly appears to be problematic. The Western Michigan product is expected to compete with Mecole Hardman and Marquez Valdes-Scantling for the No. 2 role opposite JuJu Smith-Schuster.
Apr 29, 2022
Speedy addition for Mahomes
The Chiefs selected Moore in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft, 54th overall.
ANALYSIS
Moore (5-foot-10, 195 pounds) is a bit short but well-built, and he pairs that dense frame with 4.41 speed to make for an explosive downfield threat at receiver. Moore might fit best in the slot, where his lack of height is less of an issue, but he should also be a viable fit at outside receiver thanks to his speed. Moore was highly productive at Western Michigan, where he was easily a better prospect than former teammate and 2021 second-round pick Dee Eskridge. Moore will compete with Mecole Hardman and Marquez Valdes-Scantling for targets behind Travis Kelce and de facto No. 1 wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster.
