Betting makes everything more fun. It didn’t change the final result all that much when Alabama RB Jam Miller found the end zone this past Saturday, bursting through from 20 yards out with just 24 seconds remaining versus Vanderbilt. Conor Talty’s PAT made the final score 30-14 for the Crimson Tide – but Miller’s late touchdown cashed in our NCAAF props at –110 to ensure a profitable Week 6.
For our next batch of college football player props, Week 7 is gifting us another set of tasty edges to exploit. Let’s see our latest trio of recommended bets here at OddsTrader.
Kenyon Sadiq Over 3.5 Receptions (-114) at BetMGM
Indiana Hoosiers vs. Oregon Ducks – Saturday, October 11, 3:30 PM EDT
Maybe it’s those green and yellow uniforms – Pantone 356 and 107 respectively – or maybe it’s just how well Oregon has played these past 40 years (5-0 SU, 3-1-1 ATS). Either way, now that they’re in the Big Ten, everyone’s betting on the Ducks.
Everyone except the sharps. They appear to be on Indiana (5-0 SU, 3-2 ATS) this Saturday as 7.5-point road dogs, down from +9.5 at the open; this will help our recommended bet on Ducks TE Kenyon Sadiq (15 receptions in five games) appear recreational in nature, even more so if we pair it with Oregon -7 (-118) or better.
Noah Whittington to Score a Touchdown (+270) at BetMGM
Indiana Hoosiers vs. Oregon Ducks – Saturday, October 11, 3:30 PM EDT
Here we are again, bumping what might be the biggest edge of the week down to No. 2 on our NCAAF player props. Whittington (two TDs in three games) is nominally Oregon’s top running back on the depth chart, but he missed two games with an unspecified injury, and Whittington (seven carries last week versus Penn State) has since fallen into a tailback rotation with Dierre Hill Jr. (10 carries) and Jayden Limar (seven carries).
We’re betting that changes Saturday with Oregon coming off a bye week and Whittington using that time to get healthy. Hill projects to go Under 45.5 yards (-114) by a considerable amount; this is a sharp-looking bet, though, so go with Whittington instead if you’re doing business with a recreational sportsbook.
Jackson Arnold Over 173.5 Passing Yards (-114) at BetMGM
Georgia Bulldogs vs. Auburn Tigers – Saturday, October 11, 7:30 PM EDT
We’ve featured the pairing of Arnold and WR Cam Coleman before in this space, and we almost did it again this week with Coleman at +205 to score a touchdown as our player prop for this game. We’ll toss that in as a bonus pick and put Auburn’s starting quarterback in our Top 3 football props – but definitely behind our two Oregon players, since the Tigers (3-2 SU, 2-2-1 ATS) aren’t the public team in Saturday’s SEC matchup as 3.5-point home dogs against Georgia (4-1 SU, 1-3-1 ATS).
There’s a lot to like about this Bulldogs team, but their defense is their “weak” spot at No. 12 on the F+ Ratings at BCF Toys. It might even be the worst team Kirby Smart has put on the field since his first year at the helm in 2016. Kick them before they even know they’re down.
