Glasnow’s Luck
Tyler Glasnow has been an amazing pickup for the Dodgers this season. He’s become one of the best aces in the MLB, and his strikeout rate has reached 35.4% this year.
That said, over the last month, Glasnow has allowed a .405 ISO and wOBA of .436 to 43 lefties. That’s incredibly bad.
However, Glasnow’s in luck. He’s facing a Royals lineup that has just four lefties in it. Those four lefties have only hit a .301 wOBA against righties in the last 30 days. Expect a strong performance out of Glasnow today.
Singer Doesn’t Have That Same Luck
On the other hand, Brady Singer of the Royals will pitch. He’s a righty who has also struggled against lefties over the last month.
That said, he doesn’t have the same luxury of pitching against a weak lineup. The Dodgers lefties have slugged a .200 ISO and wOBA of .329 with below 21% of strikeouts and nearly 10% of walks.
That includes Freddie Freeman and Shohei Ohtani.
