Pelicans +1.5 (-110) @ Bulls

This is anything but a favorable spot for the Bulls. Chicago has a loaded injury report, with Josh Giddey, Coby White, and Zach Collins among the ranks. Overcoming those absences would be tough on any night, let alone a scrappy Pelicans squad that tends to punch above its weight.

New Orleans is 8-26 overall, but it’s gone 20-13-1 against the spread – the third-best mark in the NBA. It enters on a four-game losing streak (@CLE, vs PHX, PHX, NYK), but that stretch was preceded by five straight wins. Keep an eye on Derik Queen and look for the Pels to take this one.

Raptors -6.5 (-106) vs. Nuggets

So begins life without Nikola Jokić. The three-time MVP will be sidelined with a knee injury for at least the next four weeks, putting Denver in an especially difficult position. The Nuggets were outscored by the Heat, 84-60, without him for the second half of Monday’s loss.

Now, Denver heads north for a meeting with the dangerous Raptors. Toronto is 20-14, owns a top-five defense, and is coming off of consecutive wins over the Warriors and Magic. Simply put, this is a difficult spot for the Nuggets to begin their stretch without Jokić. Back the Raptors as 6.5-point favorites.
