Wizards +3 (-110) vs. Pelicans

Washington has played much better ball of late, going 7-6 since Dec. 14. They’ve still suffered some big losses during the stretch, but wins over the Grizzlies, Raptors, Bucks, and Magic have this team looking like it finally has something to build off of.

I expect the Wizards to continue rolling this evening against the Pelicans. New Orleans has lost nine straight and could be without as many as four rotation pieces, including Trey Murphy III, Saddiq Bey, and Jose Alvarado. Back Washington as a home underdog.

Trail Blazers +7 (-115) vs. Rockets

We just saw this movie earlier this week. The Trail Blazers took down the Rockets, 103-102, in a thriller that came down to the final seconds. Kevin Durant had 37, Deni Avdija went for 41. Portland has a reputation for slaying giants, so it wasn’t a massive surprise.

What is surprising, however, is that the Blazers are now installed as 7-point underdogs for Friday’s rematch. Portland has won six of its last seven and has a decent advantage in the paint with Houston’s Alperen Şengün sidelined. Back the home team to cover.
