I understand the intention behind setting the total this low, but I’m still not seeing the appeal of taking the under. The Thunder just put up 136 points in their win over the Suns last night, while Milwaukee got 34 off the bench from Cam Thomas in its 116-108 win at Orlando.

It is worth monitoring the injury report to see if Jalen Williams will play. The All-Star swingman left Wednesday’s game early with a hamstring injury. Even if he ends up missing, though, Oklahoma City still has a good handful of players who can pick up the slack and push this one toward the over.

Mavericks @ Lakers: Under 236.5 Points (-110)

On the other hand, the under is strongly recommended for Mavericks-Lakers. Luka Dončić and Cooper Flagg are both sidelined, among others, and I have serious questions about how well this Dallas offense, in particular, will fare without its captain.

LeBron James and Austin Reaves will do their part to drive the score up, but this bar seems as though it was set a few notches too high. I love the under at 236.5 points.
