Timberwolves +4.5 (-105) @ Rockets

This is kind of a tough call. Minnesota enters tonight’s action without Anthony Edwards, though it cruised to a 33-point win without him in its last time out. Houston, on the other hand, is playing on the second night of a back-to-back after getting throttled by Oklahoma City on Thursday.

The Rockets have dropped five of their last seven overall and are 0-3 in back-to-backs. Moreover, four out of five starters played at least 32 minutes last night, with Amen Thompson and Kevin Durant logging roughly 40 and 37, respectively. The Timberwolves can catch them off guard.

Kings -7 (-110) vs. Wizards

The Kings have suddenly become giant slayers. Over their last three games, they’ve defeated the Rockets, Lakers, and Knicks by at least 11 points each. Their three-game winning streak is their longest of the season.

The Wizards are hardly giants, but Sacramento looks sharp in its current form. Meanwhile, Washington has dropped four straight by at least 14 points. Tonight is also the first leg of a back-to-back, so if things are ugly entering the fourth, the Wizards could elect not to put their starters back in. I like the Kings here.
