It stands to reason that Wiggins would benefit from Stephen Curry's absence, and so far, the numbers have verified that assumption. These numbers exceed his 2021 season averages and exceed seasonal averages from every year of his pro career. The difference is especially vast in total rebounds, where he is blowing all of his previous seasonal averages out of the water.

Wiggins was able to make multiple threes for the sixth consecutive game but wasn't terribly effective on his two-point attempts. It was somewhat of a bounceback game for Wiggins, who had just three points on five shots against the Lakers on Sunday, but he wasn't overly effective in a team-high 37 minutes. Wiggins is a decent source of scoring (17.1 PPG) and rebounding (4.5 RPG) -- and he's averaging a career-high 1.1 blocks per game -- but his assists are down this season (2.1 APG) and he's averaging under 1.0 steal per game for the second consecutive year.

His defensive numbers can save his stat line when his shooting goes cold.

Wiggins struggled badly from the field and only 33 percent of his attempts, needing 12 shots just to end with 11 points. He contributed nicely in other areas of the game, however, but Wiggins' best source of value lies on what he can do scoring the rock, and he has been underwhelming at times in that particular category. In fact, this was Wiggins' worst scoring output of the current campaign.

Despite his streaky shooting, the Warriors were a plus-15 with Wiggins on the floor. The forward will look to have a better start shooting the basketball Saturday in a rematch with Dallas.

He'll likely test the issue out during Tuesday's pregame activities before a final determination is made regarding his availability.

Wiggins is going to be the go-to guy in San Fran for the next few weeks, but he will still play a significant role when Steph Curry rejoins the team in early March as expected. With Curry's return imminent, the Warriors were smart to send Russell packing and acquire a playmaker like Wiggins, who is a much better fit to fill the enormous gap left by Kevin Durant's departure and Klay Thompson's ACL injury. The move to Golden State is an improvement for Wiggins owners, as he now has the opportunity to be the marquee guy on a young team that needs a veteran presence.

Wiggins totaled 27 points (9-14 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 6-6 FT), five assists, four rebounds, four blocks and two steals in 34 minutes during Wednesday's 112-106 loss to the Suns.

Wiggins blocked a career-high four shots Wednesday, continuing to fill the boxscore for his new team. His supporting numbers have certainly been a nice welcome surprise for those with shares in Wiggins, although given what we have seen throughout his career, they are unlikely to stick. Looking ahead, Wiggins should be able to flirt with top-100 value and there is scope for him to climb into the top-70.

Wiggins should be Golden State's go-to guy on offense moving forward until Stephen Curry (hand) returns to action, something that could happen as soon as the first week of March. The former Timberwolves star has racked up 42 points, seven assists and five steals in his first two games as a Warriors while shooting 53.8 percent from the field and 45.5 percent from three-point range.

Wiggins finished with 24 points (8-12 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 5-9 FT), five steals, three assists, two rebounds and a block across 31 minutes Saturday in the Warriors' 125-120 defeat against the Lakers.

Wiggins delivered an excellent two-way performance, scoring eight of his last nine field-goals and swiping a season-best five steals (three on LeBron James). But the new Warrior's debut wasn't entirely perfect, considering his free-throw shooting and turnovers (four) are inadequate compared to his past season averages (71.3 percent and 2.6 turnovers). Regardless, no Karl-Anthony Towns nor other elite scoring options mean Wiggins should see a more significant amount of available scoring opportunities until Stephen Curry (hand) returns from injury.

Wiggins will make his Warriors debut Saturday against the Lakers, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports.

Until Stephen Curry (hand) returns, Wiggins should function as the team's primary scoring option. It may take some time for Wiggins to adjust to a new offense, but there should be no shortage of opportunities for him to handle the ball and fire up shots. We should learn more on how coach Steve Kerr plans to utilize Wiggins going forward during Saturday's contest.

Wiggins (not injury related) could make his Warriors debut Saturday against the Lakers, Nick Friedell of ESPN.com reports.

Wiggins is flying into San Francisco on Friday night and still has to pass his physical. Despite the hurdles, it's still possible he's able to suit up. More information may arrive following Saturday's morning shootaround.

Wiggins -- along with a 2021 protected first-round pick and a 2022 second-round pick -- was traded Thursday from the Timberwolves to the Warriors in exchange for D'Angelo Russell, Jacob Evans and Omari Spellman.

Wiggins' contract -- he's owed over $93.8 million over the following three seasons -- has been denounced as one of the worst in the league, and the Timberwolves had to attach two draft picks to the deal as a result. For Wiggins, it's possible a change of scenery will help facilitate his development. He showed improved play for portions of this season, averaging an efficient 27.1 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.1 assists in November, but that's slipped recently. He'll presumably enter the starting lineup for Golden State and should occupy a significant role given the limited weapons available for the time being.

Wiggins dropped 25 points (9-20 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 4-6 FT), seven rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block in 36 minutes during Wednesday's loss to the Hawks.

In addition to teammate Robert Covington, who was recently shipped to Houston, Wiggins was another Timberwolves name that surfaced in trade rumors - namely partnered with the Warriors' potential return package for D'Angelo Russell. That trade has reportedly stalled recently. However, a trade to a situation like Golden State's could benefit Wiggins for this season, as their scoring options aren't exactly top-notch outside of Russell. Wiggins hasn't played quite to the level he did in the early parts of the season, but he's still sitting at the best overall fantasy value of his career, although he's fallen outside the top 150 over the past couple of months. A trade would obviously impact his value, but a deal is far from imminent. Conversely, if the Timberwolves were to keep Wiggins while also bringing in another big-time contributor, Wiggins' usage would take a hit. Fantasy owners have to just wait and see what the trade deadline holds less than 12 hours from now.

Wiggins was one of the league's elite scoring threats during the first weeks of the season and while he's had some notable scoring outputs from time to time, he has been plagued by inconsistencies over the last few weeks. Since the beginning of January, Wiggins has failed to reach the 20-point threshold nine times -- including each of he last two games -- and the tendencies aren't encouraging. He averaged 24.8 points per game until the end of December, but that figure has been reduced to "only" 18.2 points per game since the beginning of 2020.

Wiggins ended with 36 points (13-21 FG, 7-11 3Pt, 3-6 FT), nine rebounds, eight assists and one block in 43 minutes during Monday's 133-129 loss to the Kings.

Wiggins was fantastic Monday, flirting with a triple-double in the narrow loss. The Timberwolves blew a 25-point lead, eventually succumbing in overtime. Wiggins is only the 120th ranked player over the past two weeks, as he looks to regain the form he showed early in the season. He remains a must-roster player, although those with shares in Wiggins should not be expecting performances such as this every night.

In the first game of this back-to-back set, Wiggins dropped 28 points on 57.9 percent shooting. This second outing didn't go quite as well, but Wiggins still scored the second-most of any Timberwolves player. He was looking like a draft-day steal through the first couple of months of the season, putting up 25.2 points, 5.1 boards, 3.2 assists, 2.3 triples and 1.2 blocks per game on his way to top 80 value in that span. Unfortunately, the soon-to-be 25-year old experienced a flatline since then, dropping out of the top 200 completely over the last month of play, with only his 17.8 points and 4.5 assists per game holding him from falling even further in that time frame. All fantasy owners can do is hope that his recent drop in production is just a lengthy slump.

Wiggins has now scored at least 25 in back-to-back games for the first time since missing four games with an illness in late December and early January. The 24-year-old has gone on several streaks of high-scoring games this season, and this could be the beginning of another one with the Kansas product now seemingly back at full-strength.

After an off-game following his triple-double against Toronto, Wiggins rebounded with another strong stat line. Wiggins has toiled through a mediocre January and hasn't looked the same since his four-game absence at the end of December. Wiggins will try to keep the resurgence going Friday against the Rockets.

Wiggins had 15 points (6-17 FG, 1-7 3PT, 2-2 FT) in Monday's loss to Denver.

Two nights after notching his first career triple-double, Wiggins came back down to earth Monday, as he struggled from beyond the arc, hitting just one of his seven attempts. Over his last nine games, Wiggins is shooting just 25.5 percent from downtown on more than five attempts per game.

Wiggins scored 18 points (6-14 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT) in a loss to the Raptors on Saturday, adding 11 assists, 10 rebounds and one steal in 36 minutes.

After a surprisingly hot start to the season that saw Wiggins post unexpected per-game numbers of 25.6 points, 5.3 bobards, 3.6 assists, 2.3 triples and 1.0 blocks on his way to mid-round value, the soon-to-be 25-year old's production had dropped off a cliff through the last month of play, falling completely off the standard league radar. This outing was a breath of fresh air for the fantasy hopefuls who have held onto him. Although we shouldn't expect his playing time to increase much more than the 34.6minutes per game he's seeing now, the trade of Jeff Teague could potentially bost Wiggins' value if he sees more ball-handling duties, like the 11-assist triple-double he managed to post in this one. Robert Covington's name has also surfaced in serious trade talks recently, paving a theoretical path to even more responsibility for Wiggins if Covington gets dealt away. If he's not owned, Wiggins is at least worth an add to the watch list as trade deadline season picks up.

Wiggins amassed nearly as many turnovers (three) as assists while barely making a dent in the boards department. He has cooled off considerably after a scorching hot start to the season, though Wiggins is still maintaining career-high per-game averages in rebounding, dimes, threes and blocks through 33 appearances.

Wiggins had 10 points (4-12 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one board, three assists, one block and one steal in 31 minutes in a loss to the Thunder on Monday.

Wiggins had an off-night shooting, failing to make a single 3-point shot. It's been a rough stretch lately, as he's just 7-25 from the field and 1-10 from deep in his last two games. He'll look to turn things around Wednesday against Indiana.

Wiggins had 23 points (9-15 FG, 2-4 3PT, 3-6 FT), eight assists and three rebounds in 26 minutes during Thursday's 116-102 win over the Blazers.

Wiggins has topped the 20-point mark in three of his last six games, and he is taking a bigger responsibility on offense due to the absence of Karl-Anthony Towns due to injury. Wiggins is never going to be a high-volume scorer, but he has been doing enough to remain productive and he is also adding a decent number of assists to his game on a nightly basis. He has four or more dimes in three of his last four contests and is averaging a career-high 3.4 per game this term.

Wiggins had 15 points (6-13 FG, 3-8 3PT), four rebounds, two assists and one block in 33 minutes during Tuesday's 119-112 loss at Memphis.

Wiggins has posted back-to-back 15-point performances after a four-game absence, but he has shot just 37.5 percent from the field in those two contests. He should remain one of Minnesota's main scoring assets moving forward especially if Karl-Anthony Towns remains sidelined due to injury.

Wiggins has been added to the injury report as questionable ahead of Saturday's game against the Cavaliers due to an illness, Kyle Ratke of the Timberwolves' official site reports.

Wiggins' final status will likely depend on how he is feeling closer to tip-off. Jarrett Culver and Jeff Teague would presumably be the prime beneficiaries in terms of minutes and usage should he ultimately be unable to give it a go.
