Paul is set to retire from the NBA following the conclusion of the 2025-26 season, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.

Paul opted to reunite with the Clippers on a one-year deal for his 21st season in the NBA and has been in and out of the rotation to start the year, but the veteran point guard will hang up his shoes following the conclusion of the 2025-26 campaign. Paul has been one of the most storied point guards in NBA history, having been named to 12 All-Star games (including the All-Star Game MVP in 2013), 11 All-NBA teams (including four selections to the First Team) and to the NBA 75th Anniversary Team. The future Hall of Famer led the league in assists five teams -- most recently for the 2022-23 season as a member of the Suns -- and six times in steals.

Paul logged three points (1-2 FG, 1-1 3Pt) and two rebounds in 11 minutes during Monday's 110-108 loss to Philadelphia.

Paul moved back into the rotation, albeit in a minor role. His return to Los Angeles has been nothing but disappointing, adding to the frustrations in Clipper land. At this point, there is no reason to be rostering him in any fantasy format.

Paul didn't see the floor Wednesday in the Clippers' 130-116 loss to the Nuggets.

Paul was a healthy scratch for the third straight game after playing only 13 minutes per game leading up to this stretch. With injuries to Kawhi Leonard (ankle) and Bradley Beal (hip), there's a chance coach Tyronn Lue turns to the 40-year-old veteran, but for now, it seems Jordan Miller and Kobe Sanders are getting a chance in the rotation, each logging 25-plus minutes for the first time Wednesday.

Paul is expected to see an increase in playing time Thursday night against the Suns, Law Murray of The Athletic reports.

The Clippers ruled James Harden out for Thursday's matchup due to personal reasons, which opens up the door for Paul to receive more opportunities. Paul should have a chance to log a season high in minutes in Phoenix.

Although Kawhi Leonard (ankle, rest) and Bradley Beal (knee, rest) were both out, Paul saw just 11 minutes on the second leg of the back-to-back set. Paul's fantasy appeal has really been lacking early on, as he's averaging 13.4 minutes across seven appearances.

Paul ended with zero points (0-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one rebound, two assists and three steals across 14 minutes during Tuesday's 98-79 loss to Golden State.

Paul managed to record a few steals, but his overall fantasy impact has been quite limited to open the season. Through four regular-season contests, Paul is averaging 14.9 minutes per game with 2.5 points, 4.0 assists, 1.5 rebounds and 1.8 steals.

Paul (rest) has been cleared to play in Wednesday's game against the Jazz.

Paul sat out the team's preseason finale for rest purposes. He'll suit up to start his second stint in Los Angeles. It remains to be seen what kind of role he'll play with the Clippers and how that impacts his fantasy value.

While the 39-year-old has failed to score double digits in three consecutive games, he has tallied multiple swipes in each of them. Despite his recent struggles, Paul has been fairly solid in March, averaging 7.5 points and 6.3 assists across 24.7 minutes per game while shooting 49.4 percent from the field.

The veteran point guard posted his 12th double-double through 56 regular-season appearances Tuesday, leading the Spurs with a game-high mark in assists. Additionally, Paul logged multiple steals for the 22nd time during the 2024-25 campaign.

The double-double was the 11th of the season for the future Hall of Famer, and his first since Jan. 13. With Victor Wembanyama (shoulder) suddenly lost for the rest of the season, De'Aaron Fox figures to take on more of the scoring load for the Spurs, which could push more distribution duties onto Paul. In six games since Fox was acquired from the Kings, the 39-year-old point guard has averaged 8.2 points, 8.0 assists, 3.2 boards, 1.8 threes and 1.5 steals.

Paul closed with six points (3-6 FG, 0-3 3Pt), two rebounds and five assists in 27 minutes during Saturday's 112-111 loss to the Magic.

Paul struggled again Saturday, perhaps as a result of the recent trade. With De'Aaron Fox now playing as the primary facilitator, there is simply less for Paul to do on offense. Since Fox landed in town, Paul has averaged just 7.6 points, 7.0 assists and 0.3 steals. Although he should remain in the starting lineup, at least for the time being, his overall appeal appears as though it is going to be somewhat muted moving forward.

The Spurs have given Paul the green light to play Wednesday, and the veteran guard will avoid missing his first game of the season in the process. Paul has scored over 15 points in his last two games as well, though that streak shouldn't extend much further given his role on offense.

It was Paul's best scoring effort since he dropped 19 on the Jazz back on Halloween. The future Hall of Famer has scored in single digits in five straight games prior to Monday however, and his main fantasy value comes from his still-strong distribution skills. In 17 games since the beginning of December, Paul has recorded at least eight assists 13 times, averaging 8.1 points, 8.6 assists, 5.1 boards, 1.4 steals and 1.4 threes over that stretch.

Paul racked up seven points (3-11 FG, 1-6 3Pt), eight rebounds and 11 assists in 31 minutes during Friday's 113-110 win over Denver.

Paul didn't have his best shooting performance and needed 11 shots to score a meager seven points, but he made his presence felt in other areas. Particularly, his 11 assists were the second time he recorded double-digit dimes across his last three appearances, and he's achieved that feat five times since the beginning of December. He's averaging 7.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 8.6 assists and 1.6 steals per game in that span (15 games).

Paul logged six points (0-6 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 6-6 FT), five rebounds, 14 assists and four steals over 35 minutes during Sunday's 112-110 loss to Minnesota.

Paul missed each of his six shots from the field, and his efficiency from the charity stripe was the only thing that prevented him from going scoreless. However, the veteran point guard salvaged his fantasy output by handing out 14 assists and posting solid numbers in other categories. Paul is averaging 7.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, 8.7 assists and 1.6 steals per game over his last 10 appearances.

The 39-year-old point guard didn't supply a lot of offense, but he didn't need to with Victor Wembanyama going off for 42 points. Paul still scored in double digits for the first time in four games though, and his four steals were a season high. The future Hall of Famer has provided exactly the experience and leadership a young Spurs roster needed, and Paul has recorded at least one steal in 10 straight games, averaging 8.0 points, 8.1 assists, 4.6 boards, 1.9 steals and 1.4 threes over that stretch.

Paul logged zero points (0-5 FG, 0-3 3Pt), four rebounds, nine assists and two steals in 30 minutes during Sunday's 106-92 loss to the Timberwolves.

Paul was held without a single point for the first time this season. He's been ice cold lately, scoring a combined 11 points in his last three outings. He's been productive elsewhere, however, averaging 9.0 assists, 5.1 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.3 three-pointers in seven December outings.

Paul didn't have his best shooting performance Sunday, but Victor Wembanyama and Julian Champagnie carried the team on that end of the floor. Paul, thus, did what he does best at this stage of his career, finishing with 10 assists and only two turnovers. He's posted 37 assists and only four turnovers over his last five appearances while also averaging 10.8 points per game in that stretch.

Paul endured a relatively slow start to the season, but he's been excellent in recent weeks, thriving as a playmaker but also delivering decent scoring numbers when called upon duty. The veteran floor general has dished out 10 or more assists in five of his last six appearances while notching four double-doubles in that span. Despite being one of the oldest players in the NBA, Paul continues to thrive as a playmaking presence. He's recorded eight games with at least 10 assists in 16 contests this season.

Paul is averaging 10.4 points, 8.8 assists, 3.6 rebounds and 1.4 steals to start the season.

Paul is averaging a career-low 28.6 minutes per game, which is understandable considering his age. Despite the dip in minutes, he's still excelling as a ball distributor and occasional sharpshooter. Instead of filling in behind him, Stephon Castle has been alongside Paul frequently and appears to be a nice complement to Paul's game. The scenario could shift somewhat when Tre Jones (ankle) returns, but Paul's veteran presence leaves the backcourt in good hands.

Julian Champagnie was the only starter who played more than 25 minutes for the Spurs in this blowout loss, and it made no sense to keep Paul on the court in a game in which the Spurs were not going to mount a comeback. This was a step in the wrong direction for Paul in terms of his fantasy production, but it was mainly related to how the game unfolded and not a negative trend. He had delivered three straight double-doubles before this dud, and he should continue to play a prominent role in the Spurs' offensive scheme going forward.

Paul endured a slow start to the season, but the veteran has turned things around drastically of late and now has three straight double-doubles. He's also scored in double digits in five games in a row, averaging 15.6 points, 9.0 assists, 4.6 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game in that stretch.

Allowing Durant and Devin Booker to move the ball should continue to provide Paul with more off-the-ball opportunities.

His ball distribution numbers will likely see a noticeable spike in the coming week, when it's likely that Kevin Durant (ankle) will rejoin the starting lineup. When Durant played with the Suns for three games back in March, Paul averaged 8.0 points, 9.3 assists and 4.7 rebounds over that span.

Paul made 13 shot attempts in Thursday's loss with a conversion rate of 46.1 percent, thus increasing Paul's efficacy as a fantasy target.

Paul had a highly-efficient night shooting the ball, knocking down three of four field goal attempts in both the first half and the third quarter before sitting for all of the fourth with the game well in hand. With age continuing to nip at his heels, Paul's overall value continues to slowly decline, although he remains an elite contributor in both assists and steals.

With so many scoring weapons on this team, Paul could easily average double-digit assists by the end of the season.

Additionally, he has recorded multiple steals in five consecutive appearances, rounding out what has been a solid month in which he has put up top-20 value in standard formats.

With under 35 seconds to play, Paul attempted to drive to the rim but fell over and lost control of the ball, which ended up in the hands of Jrue Holiday, who pushed it ahead to Khris Middleton for a layup that put the Bucks up by four with 27.2 seconds remaining. It was certainly a night to forget for Paul, who's quietly averaging 5.3 turnovers per game in the Finals, but he'll have a chance to bounce back at home when the series shifts back to Phoenix on Saturday night. Prior to Wednesday, Paul had averaged 24.7 points, 8.7 assists and 2.7 rebounds through the first three games.

He did appear to be in some discomfort with a wrist injury and was seen having it attended to by the medical staff. While there is no indication he will miss time, it is simply something to keep an eye on moving forward.

The veteran point guard is posting per-game averages of 16.2 points, 8.7 dimes, 4.6 boards and 1.4 steals on the season.

The veteran point guard has been doing a good job to fill out the stat sheet of late and, even though he's not scoring as he was during the prime of his career, he's still an excellent option across most formats due to his ability to fill the stat sheet and his uncanned consistency.

Paul had 14 points (3-9 FG, 1-5 3PT, 7-7 FT), seven assists, five rebounds and two steals in Monday's loss to the Suns.

Paul was limited to just 24 minutes in a game that tilted the Suns' way early in the second half. Paul will have two more tune-ups before the playoffs begin next week.

CP3 hasn't registered a single double-double in five bubble games, but that doesn't mean he hasn't been productive. He had scored 21 and 23 points, respectively, in the prior two contests. OKC will look to bounce back Sunday against the Wizards.

Paul should be congratulated as one of the primary architects involved in the creation of the NBA bubble, and he's also building a great collection of stat lines with the Thunder. He entered Wednesday's game averaging 20.5 points and 7.5 assists in the bubble. The Thunder have a deep backcourt, and that will help Paul stay fresh as they prepare for postseason play.

Paul scored 23 points (8-17 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT) while adding eight assists and two rebounds in 39 minutes during Monday's 121-113 overtime loss to the Nuggets.

The veteran point guard took advantage of Denver's depleted backcourt to post strong overall numbers, albeit in a losing effort. Paul has scored 12 or more points in 17 straight games dating back to late January, averaging 19.8 points, 7.5 dimes, 4.5 boards, 1.6 threes and 1.4 steals over that stretch. Even at 35 years old, Paul still appears to have plenty left in the tank.

Paul controlled this game, putting in work on both sides of the ball and being a team-high plus-27. The performance marked the sixth time this season Paul has posted at least 18 points, seven dimes and two swipes.

Paul will not play in the Thunder's final scrimmage Tuesday for rest purposes, Joe Mussatto of The Oklahoman reports.

The coaching staff will opt to give their veteran point guard the night off, presumably to keep him as fresh as possible for Saturday's seeding-game opener against the Jazz. As a result, we could see Dennis Schroder and Hamidou Diallo see receive more minutes.

The Thunder's Wednesday game versus the Jazz has been postponed, Marc J. Spears of ESPN.com reports.

The league has yet to provide an official statement, but the postponement is likely related to the ongoing coronavirus concerns. Both teams had taken the court in advance of opening tip but then returned to their locker rooms. The Thunder are next scheduled to face the Timberwolves on Friday.

The numbers are typically there for the veteran but perhaps the most surprising aspect has been the fact he has played in all but one of the Thunder games this season. He has been a first-round player across most formats and given the Thunder's desire to be a playoff team, he should continue to be a highly sought-after fantasy asset the rest of the way.

Paul put up 14 points (5-12 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 12 assists, eight rebounds and two steals in 34 minutes during Thursday's 123-118 victory over the Pelicans.

One game after scoring a season-high 31 points on five threes and 12-of-18 shooting, Paul seemed to be pushing for a triple-double at half-time in this one, tallying nine assists with his six points, four rebounds and two steals. He unfortunately fell two rebounds short of his triple-double, but still managed a whopping 12 dimes. Paul is producing another early-round fantasy season at 34 years old, and, while there's a chance Paul could see a few rest days down the stretch, the Thunder will want him on the court as frequently as possible if they expect to hold onto the Western Conference's sixth seed.

Paul exploded for 31 points (12-18 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven assists, two rebounds, one steal and one block in 34 minutes during Tuesday's 114-106 loss against the Spurs.

CP3 reached the 30-point threshold for the fourth time this season -- all those games have come since the start of December. The veteran point guard has settled as a top scoring threat for the Thunder after a slow start to the season, and he has scored at least 20 points in four of his last five outings. He should remain a dangerous scoring threat Thursday on the road against the Pelicans.

Paul scored 22 points (8-15 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT) while adding five rebounds, five assists and two steals in 33 minutes during Sunday's 112-111 loss to the Celtics.

The veteran point guard isn't the nightly double-double threat he was in his prime, but Paul still has plenty left in the tank. Over his last 10 games he's scored 20 or more points six times, averaging 20.5 points, 7.0 assists, 5.2 boards, 1.5 steals and 1.4 threes during that span.

CP3 has looked impressive since missing the matchup against the Mavericks on Jan. 27 -- he is averaging 15.8 points, 8.5 assists and 5.5 rebounds over his last four games. He must improve on his efficiency, however, as he is making just 23.5 percent of his three-point attempts during that span. The veteran point guard has also dished out five or more assists in 10 of his last 11 games.

Paul ended with 20 points (7-16 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 10 assists, six rebounds and three steals in 34 minutes during Friday's 111-107 victory over the Suns.

Paul took control late as the Thunder rallied from an early deficit to escape with a four-point victory. His astonishing season continues and the recent all-star announcement certainly seems warranted. It appears as though he is staying put in Oklahoma City as they make a run at the playoffs. Barring an injury, he should continue to be a second-round player the rest of the way.

Paul totaled nine points (3-12 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 3-4 FT), 10 assists, seven rebounds and one steal in 26 minutes during Wednesday's 120-100 victory over Sacramento.

Paul returned after missing the previous game due to personal reasons, falling just one point short of another double-double. Paul has been fantastic for the Thunder this season from both a production and durability standpoint. He is putting up numbers far better than what he has done over the past couple of seasons and with the Thunder firmly entrenched in the playoff race, a trade would seem highly unlikely at this point.

Paul (personal) isn't on the injury report for Wednesday's game against Sacramento.

Paul didn't take the court Monday for personal reasons, but he should be good to go Wednesday after being left off the injury report. Dennis Schroder will revert back to a bench role with Paul back in action.

Paul recently denied any chance that he would consider turning down the $44.2 million payday he's set to earn via Player Option this summer. That means, barring a big-salary trade, the 34-year old will be staying in Oklahoma City. The situation isn't quite as murky as some might have expected going into the season, as the Thunder currently hold the Western Conference's number-seven seed, and will do what it takes to hold onto their playoff spot, which likely implies that Paul's role and production on this team is safe for this season.

Paul was excellent in Monday's matchup against his former team, dropping a team-leading 32 points and finishing with a game-high plus-17 net rating. The veteran point guard has guided the Thunder to an unanticipated winning record as the team currently sits at 25-19 and is locked into the seventh seed in the West. On the season, Paul's averaging 17.0 points, 6.4 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 31.8 minutes per game.

Paul had 30 points (11-15 FG, 3-5 3PT, 5-5 FT), seven assists and four rebounds in 28 minutes during Saturday's 119-106 win over the Blazers.

CP3 tends to take a backseat on the scoring duties, but he took over Saturday's contest against Portland to deliver his first 30-point effort in more than a month. The veteran point guard has dished out six or more assists in his last three outings as well, and he is producing both as a scorer and as a facilitator in a surprisingly hot Thunder offense.

Paul scored 14 points (6-10 FG, 2-6 3Pt) in a loss to the Heat on Friday, adding six assists and three rebounds in 34 minutes.

At 32 minutes per game, Paul is producing early-round value while contributing virtually across the board. With the trade deadline looming, Paul and his exuberant contract haven't surfaced in any new rumors, which isn't necessarily a bad thing if the Thunder are able to stay in the playoff race. However, at 34 years old, if his team falls out of contention, it will be a nerve-racking situation for fantasy owners.

Paul had 16 points (5-9 FG, 1-3 3PT, 5-5 FT), 11 assists, four steals and five rebounds in 34 minutes during Wednesday's 130-121 loss against the Raptors.

This was Paul's ninth double-double of the season and while he's not the stat-stuffing machine he was during his prime years, he continues to be a serviceable fantasy asset in most formats. He has dished out at least five assists in four of his last six games, and he has scored 10 or more points in each of those six contests as well. The veteran point guard will aim to build on this performance Friday at home against the Heat.

Paul had 10 points (5-15 FG, 0-4 3Pt), four rebounds, three assists, and one steal in 30 minutes of a 117-104 win against the Timberwolves on Monday.

Paul had an off shooting night, going 0-fer from deep, but he was able to let his teammates take over in the win. While he did scrounge his way to a double-digit point total, he fell short of his rebounding and assist average in the game. He'll try to bounce back against the Raptors on Wednesday.

Paul posted 16 points (7-13 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), eight assists, five rebounds and a steal during Saturday's 125-110 defeat to the Lakers.

Paul produced another solid stat line, though dampened by lackluster outside shooting and the fact that it wasn't enough to beat a star-depleted Lakers team. However, it is promising that the 34-year-old has played every one of the Thunder's 39 games despite his lengthy injury history. CP3 will have the chance to make it 40 on Monday at Minnesota, who he torched on Dec. 6 for his season-high 30 points.

Paul lit up his former team, basically removing himself from the game midway through the fourth quarter after making Isaiah Hartenstein look foolish. Paul is playing as well as he has in quite some time and he has the Thunder well-positioned for a playoff push. He has been a second-round player this season and with the trade rumors subsiding, he could be set for a strong finish to the season.
