The Hawks will likely keep leaning on Hunter for secondary offense while John Collins (foot) is out through the All-Star break, but fantasy managers seeking help in the non-scoring categories are better off seeking help elsewhere. Hunter has posted modest averages of 3.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.1 three-pointers, 0.6 steals and 0.0 blocks through seven February games.

While Hunter's point and rebound totals and free-throw production was solid enough, his dearth of peripheral production continues to cap his fantasy upside. Since returning in mid-January from an extended absence following wrist surgery, Hunter is averaging a pedestrian 1.6 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.5 blocks per game. His shortcomings in those areas probably aren't enough to make him worth keeping around in shallower leagues for fantasy managers who are desperate to make up ground in the standings in the three categories.

The starting role is his to lose and while he can be a viable 12-team asset, his upside is probably not to the point where he is a must-roster player.
