McConnell was very productive in his 14 minutes, and although he is still in a ramp-up plan after missing the first 10 games of the season, it is encouraging to see him perform well in limited action. Once he is cleared for heavier workloads, McConnell could be a viable fantasy asset due to his importance within Indiana's rotation.

The 31-year-old guard was a crucial factor in the Pacers' run to the Eastern Conference Finals and is set to be the long-term backup point guard to Tyrese Haliburton.

McConnell provided 15 points (7-16 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, four assists and one steal across 25 minutes during Monday's 105-102 loss to the Celtics in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

McConnell was tasked with handling a bigger role throughout the series, but that was even more noticeable with Tyrese Haliburton (hamstring) sidelined for the final two contests. The veteran floor general looked good off the bench, but he wasn't able to complete the comeback on his own. McConnell scored in double digits in three of the four games of the series, including reaching the 15-point plateau in the last two.

McConnell provided a spark off the bench for Indiana in a winner-take-all contest, handing out a team-high assist total while ending as one of six players with a double-digit point total to help the Pacers advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. McConnell stepped up his level of play in the semifinals against New York, recording at least 10 points and seven assists in three outings. The guard has surpassed the double-digit scoring mark in seven postseason contests, doing so in five of the seven semifinals games.

McConnell was a factor once again Friday, providing the Pacers with a boost on both ends of the floor. He continues to be an underrated piece for Indiana, continuing what has been arguably his best season as a professional. Despite typically playing no more than 20 minutes, McConnell has scored double-digits in five of the past seven games, while handing out a combined 45 assists during that period.

McConnell will not start over Haliburton any time soon, but he could be worth a flier in some fantasy formats if he continues to play like he's done of late. For what is worth, he's scored in double digits in four of his last six outings while shooting 65 percent from the field in that span.

Over four games since returning to the second unit, the veteran guard is averaging 10.8 points, 6.3 assists, 3.3 boards and 0.8 steals in 20.0 minutes a contest.

McConnell won't start Sunday's game against the Hornets.

McConnell will almost certainly slide back to a reserve role when Haliburton and/or Nembhard are ready to return, at which point his fantasy appeal will rest almost entirely on his ability to hand out assists and pick up a steal or two most nights.

McConnell will start Thursday's game against the Kings.

McConnell played 22 minutes off the bench, ending with a nice fantasy line. With Tyrese Haliburton (hamstring) set to miss at least two weeks, McConnell makes for a nice pickup in standard leagues. Although it appears as though Andrew Nembhard is going to start for the foreseeable future, McConnell typically offers more in terms of fantasy production.

McConnell ended with 12 points (6-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt), four rebounds, seven assists and two steals across 25 minutes during Monday's 133-131 victory over the Celtics.

McConnell saw increased playing time after Tyrese Haliburton went down with a hamstring injury in the first half and made the most of his opportunity. Andrew Nembhard will likely replace Haliburton, who's expected to miss at least two weeks, in the starting lineup moving forward, but McConnell should be rostered in most fantasy leagues as well. When McConnell has played at least 20 minutes this season (10 games), he's averaged 12.5 points, 7.9 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 23.0 minutes per game.

McConnell racked up 10 points (5-6 FG), three rebounds, 10 assists and three steals in 23 minutes during Friday's 150-116 win over the Hawks.

McConnell and the rest of Indiana's bench saw extended playing time Friday with the team up 34 points heading into the fourth quarter. After seeing his minute dip briefly in late December, he's averaged 21.3 minutes per game over his last three appearances and is contributing 10.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 7.3 assists and 1.3 steals over that span.

McConnell notched 16 points (5-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-8 FT), four rebounds, nine assists and one steal across 22 minutes during Monday's 122-113 victory over the Bucks.

McConnell was the third-leading scorer off the bench behind Bennedict Mathurin and Isaiah Jackson. McConnell's nine assists were the most since Dec. 15 and Monday's game was the first time he reached double-digit points since Dec. 18. He'll continue to operate as the reserve point guard behind Tyrese Haliburton.

McConnell won't start Monday's game against the Clippers, Law Murray of The Athletic reports.

McConnell posted 10 points, six assists, four rebounds, two steals and a block in 26 minutes as a starter Saturday versus the Timberwolves. However, Tyrese Haliburton has been cleared to suit up Monday after missing that contest, so McConnell will head back to the bench. Across 17 appearances as a reserve, McConnell has averaged 7.6 points, 4.6 assists, 2.5 rebounds and 0.9 steals in 14.8 minutes per game.

McConnell ended with 10 points (5-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt), four rebounds, six assists, one block and two steals across 26 minutes during Saturday's 127-109 loss to the Timberwolves.

McConnell got the starting nod with Tyrese Haliburton (knee) sidelined, and the Pacers certainly missed their star point guard, as they were unable to push the tempo and play with the same pace they do under Haliburton's guidance. The fact that McConnell struggled from the field didn't help, either. McConnell might remain in the starting unit if Haliburton is unable to face the Clippers on Monday, but it goes without saying that he, and the entire Pacers offense, will experience in a drop in their potential upside with Haliburton out.

McConnell is in the starting lineup to face the Timberwolves on Saturday.

As expected, McConnell gets the starting nod with Tyrese Haliburton (knee) sidelined. McConnell has the ability to deliver good performances when given extra minutes, even if he doesn't have the same dynamism as Haliburton, and he should see an uptick in both usage and overall numbers while potentially playing close to 30 to 35 minutes.

McConnell accumulated nine points (4-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, five assists and two steals across 16 minutes during Wednesday's 140-126 loss to the Bucks.

McConnell did what he does best, tallying five assists and two steals off the bench. Despite playing limited minutes, he has been able to do just enough to be considered for streaming purposes, even in standard leagues. Over the past two weeks, he is averaging 5.6 assists and 1.4 steals in 15.4 minutes per game.

McConnell logged 20 points (10-11 FG), two rebounds and 11 assists over 25 minutes during Saturday's 144-129 victory over the Heat.

The Pacers shot an incredible 65.9 percent from the field as a team in the win, and McConnell was a big part of that efficiency with his 10-for-11 shooting line. As usual, he didn't venture into deep territory for his shots -- of his 70 field-goal tries on the campaign, only six have come from three-point range. McConnell has converted that into an impressive 58.6 percent field-goal percentage, which is on pace to be the best of his career. The veteran point guard added a season-high 11 dimes Saturday to round out his first double-double of the campaign, but it should be noted that his 25 minutes were well above his season average, with the extended opportunity being largely a result of Tyrese Haliburton (knee) sitting out. As efficient as McConnell has been this season, he hasn't been seeing much run when Haliburton is healthy.

McConnell (hamstring) is available to play Thursday against the Heat.

The veteran floor general was deemed a game-time call, but he will end up being available and should see his regular workload off the bench. McConnell has seen limited minutes of late, however, as he hasn't reached the 15-minute mark in his last three outings, and that limits his fantasy upside considerably.

McConnell is questionable for Thursday's game versus the Heat due to right hamstring soreness.

It's unclear when McConnell suffered his injury, but it could keep him out of Thursday's contest. Andrew Nembhard and Bennedict Mathurin will likely see increased minutes if McConnell is ruled out.

McConnell ended Wednesday's 155-104 loss to the Celtics with a team-high 18 points (8-13 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and one steal across 28 minutes off the bench.

The game got away from the Pacers very early and the team was without Tyrese Haliburton (ankle), leading to a season-high workload for McConnell and production to match. The veteran guard managed only 12 total points in his first two games of the campaign, but if Haliburton isn't ready to return Friday against Cleveland, McConnell figures to be a popular DFS target.

McConnell won't start Monday's preseason game against the Hawks.

McConnell drew back-to-back starts with Tyrese Haliburton resting, but the former will head back to a bench role with the latter returning to action. McConnell is slated to be Indiana's top backup point guard again in 2023-24.

He should maintain a valuable role as long as Tyrese Haliburton (ankle) remains out, and the lottery-bound Pacers have little incentive to rush the star point guard back.

Over his past five appearances, McConnell is averaging 12.6 points, 6.6 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals in 25.0 minutes, and he should continue to see a sizable role with Haliburton expected to miss at least two more contests.

He also shouldered a heavier workload than usual, though this was likely due to the absence of Tyrese Haliburton (calf). McConnell will likely see his minutes drop down to the 15-to-20-minute range once Haliburton is cleared for action.

McConnell has been surprisingly productive over the last month, averaging 13.6 points, 7.3 assists, 4.6 boards and 1.2 steals in the last 15 games -- five of them in the starting lineup -- and if Haliburton winds up needing additional rest, his 30-year-old backup figures to be a must-add in DFS.

McConnell notched eight points (4-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds and three assists in 14 minutes during Friday's 107-104 victory over Sacramento.

McConnell's time as a 12-team asset appears to be over, that is if we consider his past two games. With Tyrese Haliburton back in the lineup, McConnell has moved back to the bench, his minutes falling to just 14 and 17 respectively. There had been an inkling of hope that he would be able to maintain a 20+ minute role, although those hopes can now be put to bed. Sadly, it is time to move on.

McConnell is averaging 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, 9.8 assists and 2.0 steals in four games since entering the starting lineup.

McConnell was one of four Pacers players to score 20 or more points, leading the team in assists en route to a double-double performance. McConnell has recorded at least 15 points and 10 assists three times this year, including in two straight contests.

McConnell racked up 18 points (8-15 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 10 rebounds, 12 assists and two steals over 39 minutes during Saturday's 112-107 loss to the Suns.

From a fantasy perspective, McConnell has been one of the best point guards in the Eastern Conference over the last two weeks, and he had one of his best outings to date Saturday despite the loss against Phoenix in his first start of the campaign. Even if McConnell returns to a bench role for the upcoming games, he's been experiencing an increased usage rate, and his numbers back that up. Over his last seven games, McConnell is averaging 15.0 points, 8.3 assists, 5.9 rebounds and 1.9 steals per contest.

McConnell will start Saturday's game against the Suns.

Coach Rick Carlisle will experiment with starting McConnell alongside Nembhard. The nod will be McConnell's first start of the year, though he's been seeing increased minutes in Tyrese Haliburton's (knee, elbow) absence. McConnell had one of his best performances of the season at a time when the Pacers needed him the most, as he replaced the injured Tyrese Haliburton (knee) and finished just two boards and three assists away from a triple-double. Haliburton's injury will determine McConnell's status going forward, but he's the prime candidate to jump into the starting lineup if he former misses an extended period of time.

While the fact that McConnell has shed his cast is seemingly a step in the right direction, the 29-year-old looks as though he's at least a week or more away from resuming on-court work. With McConnell out indefinitely and Malcolm Brogdon's lingering Achilles injury making him a potential shutdown candidate, Tyrese Haliburton could end up seeing extensive run at point guard throughout the second half of the season.

The Pacers placed McConnell (wrist) in the NBA's COVID-19 health and safety protocols prior to Wednesday's 111-104 win over the Lakers.

McConnell will presumably remain in isolation for the remaining three games of Indiana's road trip, but the veteran point guard's entry into the protocols doesn't change anything with regard to his timeline for returning from the right wrist surgery he underwent in early December. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN broke the news earlier Tuesday that McConnell underwent surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right wrist, noting in the report that the point guard was expected to miss several months. The Pacers essentially confirmed that timeline, as McConnell will almost certainly need more than two months for his wrist to heal and to get back into basketball shape once cleared for on-court work. Given the length of his absence, McConnell looks like a safe drop in the majority of fantasy leagues.

McConnell exited Wednesday's game against Atlanta with right wrist soreness. It's not yet clear whether he'll be available for Friday's matchup against Miami.

McConnell has seen his role reduce over the past few games, to the point where he is now a possible drop candidate in standard formats. That trend continued Saturday despite the blowout. He has obvious upside when it comes to both assists and steals, but in a 20 minutes role, the opportunity is simply not going to be there on a regular basis.

McConnell will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets.

With Malcolm Brogdon returning to the lineup after a two-game absence, McConnell will shift back to a bench role. The 29-year-old has performed well this season when called upon, as he's currently averaging 9.1 points, 5.1 assists and 3.4 rebounds in 26.1 minutes per game.

McConnell started Friday's game against Portland and finished with 19 points (8-13 FG, 3-4 3Pt), seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block in 33 minutes.

Starting in place Malcolm Brogdon (illness), McConnell took full advantage of the opportunity, posting a season-high 19 points and chipping in some valuable defensive stats. While the lack of assists was a letdown for fantasy managers, McConnell remains a solid streaming option if Brogdon misses any additional time.

McConnell will come off the bench Wednesday against the Knicks, Scott Agness of FieldhouseFiles.com reports.

The 29-year-old started the past three games but will return to the bench Wednesday with Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) returning to action. McConnell has averaged 6.8 points, 4.6 assists and 2.4 rebounds in 22.0 minutes over his five appearances off the bench this season.

McConnell racked up 10 points (5-7 FG), 10 assists, three rebounds, three steals and a block in the Pacers' 131-118 victory over the Spurs on Monday night.

McConnell started and put together his best performance of the season. He had previously failed to hit double figures in points or assists until Monday. The 29-year-old is capable of stuffing the box score and is a viable source of defensive stats, but isn't overly involved in the offense. The return of Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) will revert his role, likely beginning on Wednesday versus the Knicks.

McConnell chippin in eight points (4-6 FG), three assists and a rebound over 20 minutes of action in Wednesday's 118-100 loss to the Raptors. He also had four turnovers.

Turnovers plagued his performance in this one, but the catch rate is respectable. McConnell carries fantasy value when hovering around 30 minutes per game, but less than that makes him too unreliable for most roster spots. He has played between 18 and 24 minutes in all five contests thus far.

McConnell is starting Friday's preseason game against Cleveland.

McConnell will join the starting lineup for the preseason finale with Malcolm Brogdon (shoulder) unavailable. However, he'll likely take on a backup role to begin the regular season since Brogdon is expected to be available for Wednesday's season opener against the Hornets.

McConnell agreed Monday to a four-year, $35 million contract with the Pacers, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

McConnell is coming off the best year of his career, and the 29-year-old is being rewarded with a long-term contract. In 26.0 minutes per game, he averaged 8.6 points, 6.6 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 1.9 steals while shooting an impressive 55.9 percent from the field. He should continue mostly seeing backup minutes, but he's proven to be a great failsafe for when the Pacers' starting backcourt is injured.

McConnell accumulated 12 points (6-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt), 17 assists, five rebounds, two steals and one block in 39 minutes during Sunday's 125-113 win over the Raptors.

The 29-year-old has been hovering around top-50 fantasy value over the last couple of weeks, averaging 12.9 points, 7.1 assists, 5.1 rebounds and 2.4 steals while shooting 58.6 percent from the field over his last nine games. McConnell averaged career highs in points (8.6), rebounds (3.7), assists (6.7) and steals (1.9) through 69 games in his sixth NBA season. He'll look to roll his stellar regular-season play into Tuesday's play-in tournament game.

McConnell will come off the bench Saturday against the Lakers, Dan Woike of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Caris LeVert (knee) is back in the starting five, so McConnell will come off the bench. He could still have a big role, however, as the Pacers remain shorthanded.

McConnell (thumb) returned to Thursday's 142-133 loss to Milwaukee and tallied 23 points (10-19 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-3 FT), seven assists, five rebounds and three steals across 45 minutes.

Tony East of the West Indianapolis Community News reports that McConnell had X-rays taken on his hand during the game, which revealed no structural damage. He had been considered questionable to return after suffering a thumb injury in the first half, but it clearly wasn't a big concern considering his heavy minutes.

With Caris LeVert (knee), Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring), Aaron Holiday (toe) and other backcourt options sidelined, McConnell will start and should be plenty of action. In two prior starts, he averaged 18.0 points, 7.5 assists, 5.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 1.0 blocks in 44.0 minutes.

McConnell tallied double-digit points for the fourth time in his last five games, aided by the absence of Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring). He also chipped in his typical assist and steals production as well, and he is now averaging 6.0 assists and 2.2 steals in that same five-game span.

McConnell tallied 19 points (9-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five assists, four steals and two rebounds in 25 minutes during Thursday's 133-126 win over the Hawks.

The 29-year-old now has at least one steal in nine straight games, a span in which he's averaging 9.1 points, 7.0 assists and 2.6 steals. McConnell is averaging career highs in points and steals in his sixth year in the NBA. He'll look to keep his steals streak going Saturday at home against the Wizards.

McConnell tallied 15 points (7-13 FG, 1-1 3Pt), nine rebounds, eight assists and two steals in 31 minutes during Monday's 154-141 loss to the Wizards.

McConnell continues to be a consistent source of assists and steals despite the fact his role is somewhat inconsistent. The Pacers are currently down on troops and so McConnell has been able to once again step into an increased role. He is putting together his best season from both a fantasy and a reality standpoint and his unwavering reliability makes him a must-roster player across just about every format.

McConnell went for four points (2-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt), five assists, two rebounds and three steals across 20 minutes during Thursday's 130-113 loss to Brooklyn.

McConnell shot 30 percent or worse from the field for the third time across the last four games but came through with solid supporting stats in limited action. With Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) and Edmond Sumner (knee) going down in Thursday's game, McConnell could be looking at an increased workload going forward.

McConnell had just two points (1-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt) to go with seven assists, three rebounds, a steal and a block in Sunday's win over the Magic.

While it was McConnell's lowest point total since March 15, he was able to salvage some fantasy production with seven assists and his typical defensive contributions. McConnell was coming off of a monster game Saturday against Detroit, when he posted six points, three boards, 13 assists, five steals and a block in 30 minutes.

McConnell scored 12 points (5-6 FG, 2-2 3Pt) to go along with eight assists, four rebounds and one steal across 25 minutes in Wednesday's win over the Thunder.

McConnell was a big reason the shorthanded Pacers still managed to earn a win, posting a team-best +17 while on the floor. The rest of his line was fairly familiar, as he continued to shoot well from the floor while also racking up assists and steals. Though McConnell's minutes will spike occasionally, he's shown the ability to contribute at a valuable level in 23 to 25 minutes per game.

McConnell accumulated 18 points (9-10 FG), seven assists and one steal in 36 minutes during Sunday's loss to the Hawks.

The 29-year-old recorded one of his most efficient games of the season, hitting nine out of 10 field-goal attempts. McConnell also bounced back from Friday's four-point effort to post his 18th double-digit scoring performance of the season. The sixth-year guard has been a consistent source of assists (6.5) and steals (1.8) off the bench this season and should continue playing a pivotal role for the ninth-seeded Pacers the rest of the way.

McConnel played 23 minutes off the bench and contributed four points (2-4 FG), eight assists, three rebounds and three steals Friday in the loss to the Jazz.

McConnell will not be a consistent source of points but his ability to collect assists and steals make someone to keep an eye out in fantasy leagues. He has recorded multiple steals in six of nine April contests while averaging 6.7 assists in 27.0 minutes of action.

McConnell totaled 12 points (5-5 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, four assists and four steals in a 132-124 victory over the Rockets on Wednesday.

McConnell continued to rack up the steals and now has recorded multiple steals in five of his last six contests. The guard has also contributed on the offensive end as a scorer and distributor over that stretch, averaging 11.3 points, 6.2 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game.

McConnell scored 19 points (9-12 FG, 1-1 3Pt) to go along with 15 assists, three rebounds and two steals across 35 minutes in Wednesday's win over the Timberwolves.

McConnell benefitted from the continued absence of Malcolm Brogdon (hip) as well as Myles Turner (ankle) and Domantas Sabonis (ankle), which forced the team to play small. As a result, McConnell topped 30 minutes for the third time in his last four games and matched season-best totals in both points and assists. Brogdon is expected to return within the next game or two, which would decrease McConnell's role.

McConnell produced 18 points ( 9-14 FG), eight assists and seven rebounds across 34 minutes in Saturday's 139-133 win over the Spurs.

McConnell has put together an impressive three-game run, averaging 113.7 points, 6.7 assists and 4.0 rebounds over that span. The absence of three key starters undoubtedly assisted his total Saturday, but his production was already on the uptick heading into the weekend. The veteran guard will occasionally experience spurts of production, but his fantasy value is capped by the talent ahead of him on the depth chart.

McConnell finished with 12 points (5-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven assists, two blocks and a rebound across 32 minutes in Friday's loss against the Hornets.

McConnell was one of four bench players that reached the 10-point threshold for the Pacers, but he also paced the team in assists despite coming off the bench. McConnell has scored in double digits in seven of Indiana's last nine games, and he has dished out at least five dimes in seven of those contests as well. He's been very effective off the bench for Indiana and should feature decent upside even with his bench role firmly established.

McConnell collected eight points (3-5 FG, 2-3 FT), nine assists, two steals and one rebound in a 132-124 loss to the Wizards on Monday.

McConnell continues to be the team's main distributor despite coming off the bench, as he has now recorded at least seven assists in four of his last six games. The guard was also able to pick up multiple steals for the second consecutive contest. McConnell is averaging 10.8 points, 7.8 assists and 1.7 steals over his last six games.

McConnell went for 16 points (8-9 FG), 15 assists, six rebounds, three steals and one block over 29 minutes off the bench during Friday's win over the Heat.

McConnell totaled 14 dimes over his previous five games prior to going off. He's hit double-digit points in two straight contests following three straight games with which he scored under 10 points. During that span, McConnell is averaging 14.0 points, 9.5 assists, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals while shooting 73.7 percent from the floor over 25.5 minutes per game.

McConnell produced 12 points (6-9 FG), four assists, two rebounds and one steal in 22 minutes during Wednesday's 124-115 loss to Brooklyn.

McConnell managed to turn things around, if only slightly, after a couple of poor performances of late. The addition of Caris LeVert has certainly had an impact on McConnell's ability to facilitate the offense and we have seen a direct correlation when breaking down his assist numbers. At this point, he is probably a player who can be dropped in standard leagues, although, I wouldn't just be dropping him for the sake of it.

McConnell has combined to produce four points (2-7 FG), four assists, four rebounds and one steal in 42 minutes in the Pacers' two games since Caris LeVert made his team debut.

The addition of LeVert was always likely to have a negative affect on McConnell and some of the Pacers' other rotational guards and wings, but the impact through two games has been even more severe than expected. Not only has McConnell's playing time fallen off significantly -- his 23 minutes Saturday against the Suns and 19 minutes Monday against the Nuggets were his lowest totals since Feb. 7 -- but his usage has cratered. McConnell's usage has sat at a measly 7.4 and 9.3 percent over the past two contests, after having been no worse than 12.8 percent in any of the previous seven games. The point guard's fantasy outlook will likely only worsen in the weeks to come, as Jeremy Lamb (knee) and T.J. Warren (foot) will also return at some point.

McConnell logged eight points (4-7 FG, 0-1 FT), seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block across 25 minutes Friday in a 105-100 loss to the Lakers.

McConnell has averaged 7.8 points, 7.3 assists and 2.1 steals across 25 games since the Victor Oladipo trade. He started this season with limited upside yet has proven to be a serviceable fantasy option in Oladipo's place. However, Caris LeVert -- the piece Indiana received from said trade -- was out hurt but will make his team debut Saturday at Phoenix. He was meant to fill in for Oladipo and could dent McConnell's output across future games.

McConnell scored 16 points (8-8 FG) to go along with four rebounds, 13 assists, 10 steals and one block across 36 minutes in Wednesday's win over the Cavaliers.

McConnell had a notable stat-line in multiple ways, with the highlight being his 10 steals -- nine of which came in the first half. He also made all eight of his shots from the field to reach double-digit scoring for only the fourth time this season. While it's impossible to project McConnell to replicate this type of production, he has now averaged 7.6 assists and 3.3 steals per game across his last nine contests.

McConnell will come off the bench Monday at Philadelphia.

The 28-year-old had 17 points (8-12 FG, 1-2 FT), 12 assists, six rebounds and two steals while starting in place of Malcolm Brogdon (knee) on Saturday, but Brogdon is back in action Monday. McConnell should still see plenty of minutes off the bench, though his offensively volume will obviously be more limited.

McConnell logged 17 points (8-13 FG, 1-2 FT), 12 assists, six rebounds and two steals across 46 minutes Saturday in a 110-107 loss to the Knicks.

McConnell started over an injured Malcolm Brogdon (knee) and played all but two of the game's 48 minutes Saturday. He logged a double-double, his first since Jan. 22 at Phoenix last year. McConnell could be in line for an uptick in value if Brogdon's injury will force him to miss multiple games.

McConnell will start at point guard for Saturday's game against the Knicks, Scott Agness of FieldhouseFiles.com reports.

With Malcolm Brogdon out with right knee soreness, McConnell will be the primary ball handler for the Pacers on Saturday. It's only his second start of the season, but he should see plenty of run as long as Brogdon remains out. McConnell should still see significant run as Indiana's secondary point guard.

McConnell earned his first start of the season and played a season-high 42 minutes. Though that was in part aided by an overtime period, he's now topped 30 minutes in three consecutive games, averaging 10.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 7.3 assists, 3.0 steals and 1.7 blocks per game in that span. While McConnell's scoring outburst on Monday was out of character and powered by unsustainable shooting, he contributes well enough across the board overcome his lack of high-volume points.

McConnell will start Monday's game against the Bulls, Bulls radio voice Chuck Swirsky reports.

Doug McDermott (knee) has been ruled out, so Indiana will go with a smaller lineup featuring both McConnell and Malcolm Brogdon in the backcourt. McConnell has fared well off the bench of late, averaging 7.5 points, 8.9 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1.9 steals over his last eight appearances (27.6 MPG). In Saturday's win over Atlanta, McConnell posted six points, 12 assists, four steals, three rebounds and two blocks in 32 minutes.

McConnell tallied 13 points (6-11 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 0-2 FT), seven rebounds and four assists in 26 minutes during Wednesday's 107-97 loss to Brooklyn.

McConnell has been able to carve out a consistent role for himself this season, something he has struggled with in previous campaigns. While this wasn't his best night, he still played 26 minutes and continues to be the best facilitator on the team. His fantasy value is limited to assists and steals but as we have seen, they can be tricky numbers to find on the waivers and so he is certainly in the standard league discussion.

McConnell registered nine points (4-8 FG, 1-1 3Pt), 15 assists, two rebounds and two steals in 28 minutes off the bench during Friday's loss to the Pelicans.

While he has still yet to score in double figures, McConnell's passing remains on point. He's collected less than five assists just four times this season despite playing 30 minutes in a game just once. In three games during the month of February, McConnell is averaging 11.3 assists and 2.3 steals across 28.3 minutes per game.

McConnell played in 28 minutes off the bench and scored six points (3-5 FG) while adding 12 assists, two rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in Wednesday's 130-110 loss to the Bucks.

McConnell has now recorded five or more assists in 15 of 19 games this season. Despite not scoring more than nine points in any game, McConnell can be counted on for not only assists, but he's also adding 1.7 steals per game and has recorded a steal in four straight contests.

McConnell played in 26 minutes off the bench and contributed nine points (4-9 FG, 1-2 FT), eight assists, four rebounds and one steal during Sunday's 119-110 loss to the 76ers.

Though McConnell has never been a big scorer, he's taken more of a facilitating role this year, averaging more assists (5.8) than points (4.3). Since Victor Oladipo was traded, McConnell is averaging 7.2 assists while adding 5.0 points over 24.6 minutes in nine games.

McConnell recorded two points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt), nine assists and five rebounds in 26 minutes during Wednesday's 116-106 win over the Hornets.

McConnell has taken on an expanded role since Victor Oladipo departed from the Pacers. Over the past seven games, McConnell has seen 25.4 minutes per game and averaging 4.9 points, 7.3 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 2.0 steals. The point guard has always been a great source of per-minute assists and steals, so this production is actionable in most fantasy leagues for managers in need of those two categories.

McConnell (personal) returned from a three-game absence in Thursday's 111-87 win over the Trail Blazers, finishing with four points (2-3 FG), eight assists, five rebounds and three steals in 21 minutes.

McConnell had been away from the Pacers the last few days to witness the birth of his child, but the new father didn't take long to settle back in on the second unit. Indiana was a plus-21 while McConnell was on the court, with his return allowing Aaron Holiday to spend more time off the ball. McConnell will be hard-pressed to see much more than 20 minutes per game on a regular basis, so he's probably best viewed as a streaming option for assists rather than a must-roster player in standard leagues.

McConnell is not on the injury report for Thursday's game against Portland, Scott Agness of FieldhouseFiles.com reports.

After missing the last three games due to the birth of his son, McConnell was removed from the injury report Wednesday night. It's unclear whether or not he'll return to his usual role immediately, but Aaron Holiday and Edmond Sumner would likely see reduced minutes if McConnell can go. McConnell isn't going to have a lot of fantasy value while Malcolm Brogdon and Aaron Holiday are healthy, but he's off to a solid start to the season for the 3-0 Pacers.

McConnell might not deliver 10-point or eight-assist performances often, but he provides decent value as a solid bench player for the Pacers.

McConnell paced the team in dimes and delivered a superb stat line in limited minutes. With the statuses of Victor Oladipo (knee) and Domantas Sabonis (foot) up in the air and Jeremy Lamb (knee) out for the rest of the season, McConnell might be more heavily involved going forward if the aforementioned duo doesn't suit up.

McConnell had six points (3-4 FG), six assists, three rebounds and one block in 13 minutes during Sunday's 118-111 scrimmage win over the Mavericks.

McConnell didn't see that many minutes, with fellow backup guard Edmond Sumner earning four more minutes than the veteran. Nevertheless, McConnell is likely to remain the team's primary backup at point guard given that Aaron Holiday, Malcolm Brogdon and Victor Oladipo are all among the starting five in the aftermath of the potentially season-ending injury to Domantas Sabonis (foot).

McConnell finished with 12 points (6-10 FG), five assists and one rebound across 15 minutes during Sunday's win over the Mavericks.

McConnell reached double digits for the second time in three games while providing his usual steady hand running point for the second unit. Although he's one of the better bench players in the league, McConnell's contributions of 6.6 points, 5.0 assists and 2.6 rebounds in 18.9 minutes per game aren't enough to warrant him a roster spot in most formats.

McConnell will come off the bench Friday against the Bulls, Mike McGraw of the Chicago Daily Herald reports.

With Malcolm Brogdon (hip) out and Victor Oladipo (knee) in, Aaron Holiday will get the nod next to Oladipo in the backcourt. McConnell could still see plenty of action for the shorthanded Pacers, however.

McConnell will come off the bench Wednesday against the Bulls.

With Malcolm Brogdon returning to the starting five after missing time due to a concussion, McConnell will resume his usual role off the bench. When coming off the bench this month, McConnell is averaging 5.9 points, 6.3 assists and 2.5 rebounds in 20.6 minutes.

In his absence, McConnell matched his season-high in assists while recording his second double-double of the year. If the game had been close there is a chance Brgdon would have returned, so odds are McConnell will return to his typical role Thursday in Golden State.

McConnell continues to be a very solid source of assists, plus he's maintaining solid shooting percentages. The looming return of Victor Oladipo (knee), who is set to make his season debut on Jan. 29, may very well affect McConnell, among others. Still, McConnell has been a spark plug off the bench and could continue to operate in a pretty similar role for the remainder of the campaign.
