Mark appears set to return to the starting lineup against Oklahoma barring an injury setback.
Dec 4, 2023
Not starting Monday
Mark (back) is not listed amongst Arkansas's starters ahead of Monday's matchup with Furman, Scottie Bordelon of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports.
ANALYSIS
Mark appears set to miss his second-consecutive game as the result of a back injury as the Razorbacks face off against the Paladins. Provided that Mark doesn't appear off the bench Monday, his next opportunity to return will come Saturday against Oklahoma.
Dec 4, 2023

Mark (back) will dress for Monday's game against Furman, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Mark has a chance to return during Monday's showdown with Furman, but his status remains up in the air for the contest. The 6-foot-6 junior transfer from Houston is averaging 18.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 0.9 steals on 29.6 minutes per game this season (seven starts).
Dec 3, 2023

Mark (back) is out for Wednesday's game versus Duke, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Mark will not suit up versus Duke after being stretchered off the court with a back injury during last Friday's game versus North Carolina. Through seven games this season he is averaging 18.4 points and 2.7 rebounds in 29.6 minutes per game for the Razorbacks. Khalif Battle could be in line to start in his place.
Nov 27, 2023
Meeting with spine specialist
Mark (back) is meeting with a spine specialist Monday, according to Mason Choate of Rivals.com.
ANALYSIS
During the Arkansas team's game Friday against North Carolina, Mark suffered a back injury that required him to be stretchered off the matchup's court. He was in a wheelchair on the travel day back home Saturday. Though his updated status is not promising at the moment, more should be known about how Mark is doing after meeting a spine specialist Monday.
Nov 24, 2023
Scores 34 before injury
Mark was forced to exit Friday's loss to North Carolina due to a back injury, Jeff Goodman of Stadium reports.
ANALYSIS
It was a scary sight in the Battle 4 Atlantis matchup, as Mark took a hard fall and a stretcher was needed to carry him off the court. There was a bit of good news relayed by coach Eric Musselman after the game, as he told reporters it was a back injury, rather than an originally-feared head/neck issue. Prior to his departure, Mark had single-handedly been keeping Arkansas in the game, as he put up a career-high 34 points (13-17 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 4-7 FT) to go along with five rebounds and a block. Mark was the team's second-leading scorer at 15.8 ppg entering Friday's action, and any prospective absence would be a major blow, especially considering the team is lined up for a tough matchup against Duke on Wednesday.
Nov 23, 2023
Season-best 25 points
Mark had 25 points (6-15 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 12-15 FT), one rebound, one assist and one steal over 41 minutes during Wednesday's 77-74 2OT win over Stanford.
ANALYSIS
Mark was often limited offensively by the Houston's slow pace a season ago, but he now has back-to-back 20-point games for the Razorbacks, showing he's more than comfortable with his role in his new home. He'll look to keep it going in the Battle 4 Atlantis quarterfinals Thanksgiving Day against Memphis.
Oct 30, 2023
Solid exhibition showing
Mark had 15 points (5-10 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 4-8 FT), six rebounds and four assists across 36 minutes in Friday's 81-77 exhibition victory over Purdue.
ANALYSIS
Mark has now started each of the two Arkansas exhibition games, and that, mixed with the fact he saw the most minutes of any Razorback player Friday, is enough to suggest his role is relatively secure in his first year with the program. Mark averaged 10.1 ppg last season as a secondary scoring option with Houston a season ago, and his defensive prowess should be more than enough to keep him on the court. While Arkansas will run a deeper rotation than the Cougars did, Mark should still see equal, if not greater, opportunities to boost his stats due to the up-tempo nature of the offense.
May 23, 2023
Withdraws from 2023 NBA Draft
Mark has withdrawn from the 2023 NBA Draft process, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Mark has opted to return to college after exploring professional opportunities this offseason. The 6-foot-5 sophomore, who has spent the last three seasons with Houston, will continue his collegiate career with the Razorbacks this fall.
Apr 9, 2023
Commits to Arkansas
Mark committed to Arkansas on Sunday, per Joe Tipton of On3.com.
ANALYSIS
Mark averaged 10.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.1 steals across 37 games (all started) he played during his 2022-23 season. If the Razorbacks swingman does not get selected in the 2023 NBA Draft, he is expected to be regularly part of their starting lineup next season.
Apr 1, 2023
Leaving Houston
Mark announced via his personal Twitter on Saturday that he will declare for the 2023 NBA Draft while also maintaining his collegiate eligibility and entering the transfer portal.
ANALYSIS
Mark appears set to test the NBA waters before fully deciding whether or not to continue his collegiate career. Either way, the 6-foot-5 Texas native does not plan to return to play for the Cougars this coming season. Mark spent the first three seasons of his collegiate career with Houston, and he averaged 10.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.1 steals while starting all 37 games in the 2022-23 campaign. However, his efficiency did take a step back this past season, as he shot just 39 percent on 8.9 field-goal attempts per game last season after converting 45.5 percent of his 7.9 field-goal attempts per game in 2021-22.
Mar 20, 2023
Redeems himself Saturday
Mark contributed 26 points (9-17 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 8-9 FT), nine rebounds and one steal in 37 minutes during Saturday's 81-64 win over Auburn.
ANALYSIS
During the Cougars' first-round game of the 2023 NCAA Tournament, Mark logged four points (2-8 FG, 0-4 3Pt) and three turnovers. In contrast, Mark's latest game was his best as a redshirt sophomore so far. While being only one rebound short of a double-double, he logged his career high in points against Auburn.

Mark closed with 16 points (6-10 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, one block and two steals across 35 minutes during Sunday's 67-65 victory over Memphis.
ANALYSIS

Over the last three games, Mark has rebounded the ball really well, combining for 18 rebounds and two games with eight or more. Mark is the teams third leading rebounder, averaging 4.6 per game.
Feb 27, 2023
Nears season high in win
Mark logged 20 points (7-15 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-5 FT), nine rebounds and three assists in 35 minutes during Saturday's 76-57 victory over East Carolina.
ANALYSIS
Mark came just one rebound shy of his first double-double of the season in Saturday's blowout win. His 20-point performance was his second of the season, three points shy of his season high, 23. Mark has shot the ball really well over his last two games, shooting 54.5 percent from the field and 55.5 percent from behind the arc.
Feb 20, 2023
Struggles from the field continue
Mark logged six points (1-5 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-4 FT), one rebound, two assists and two steals over 26 minutes during Sunday's 72-64 win over Memphis.
ANALYSIS
Mark converted on just one shot in Sunday's win. Over the last three games, Mark has shot 20.8 percent from the field and 30.7 percent from behind the arc. Mark is typically busier on the glass. Sunday's one rebound marked his lowest rebounding total since Dec. 28.

ANALYSIS
Mark stuffed the stat sheet in Sunday's win. Though he had a rough game shooting, Mark still managed to help on the defensive end, posting his third straight game with one block and at least one steal. Mark has been an inconsistent scorer all season, averaging 9.7 points per game.
Jan 23, 2023
Misses seven shots
Mark accumulated six points (2-9 FG, 2-4 FT), six rebounds, one assist and one block over 33 minutes during Sunday's 56-55 loss to Temple.
ANALYSIS
Mark struggled from the floor in Sunday's upset loss. Leading up to Sunday, Mark had reached double figure scoring in six straight games. Mark's scoring struggles did not impact his rebounding, posting another game with five or more rebounds, his ninth of the season.
Jan 9, 2023
All-around performance in win
Mark amassed 10 points (4-10 FG, 2-5 3Pt), five rebounds, five assists, one block and two steals across 32 minutes during Sunday's 72-59 win over Cincinnati.
ANALYSIS
Mark posted his second game of the season recording at least 10 points, five rebounds and five assists. Sunday marked his fourth straight game scoring in double figures, managing to hit a pair of three's. Mark is the third leading scorer on the team, averaging 10.1 points per game.
Dec 31, 2022
Playing through thigh knot
Mark has been playing through hardened tissue in his thigh area, Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
It sounds like this is primarily a pain management issue, as Mark continues to practice and start games for the Cougars. It does, however, offer a potential explanation as to why a player who had been averaging 27.4 mpg saw those minutes slightly reduced, logging 21 and 20 minutes in matchups against McNesse and Tulsa, respectively. Both games were thoroughly-lopsided affairs, so it makes sense for Mark to see a bit more rest, but it sounds like he'll be in the clear when AAC play heats up.
Dec 7, 2022
Scores 10 points in win
Mark registered 10 points (4-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one block in 24 minutes during Tuesday's 76-42 victory over North Florida.
ANALYSIS
Mark continued his strong play in Tuesday's blowout loss. The junior forward did not shoot well, but still managed to effect the game allover the court. Tuesday marked the second time in three games that he reached double figure scoring this season.
Nov 30, 2022
Stuffs stat sheet in big win
Mark posted 16 points (6-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds and six assists across 32 minutes during Tuesday's 100-52 victory over Norfolk State.
ANALYSIS
Mark has been a very consistent piece in the Cougars starting five through seven games this season. Tuesday marked the junior forwards first game this season with over 10 points, five rebounds and five assists. Mark is second on the team in average points per game with 10.6, behind Marcus Sasser's team leading 18.1 points per game.
Nov 15, 2022

Jun 28, 2022
Recovers from shoulder injury
Mark has been cleared to play basketball after opting to undergo shoulder surgery in December, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Mark missed more than half the season after getting season-ending shoulder surgery in December, but he is healthy heading into 2022-23. In the seven games Mark played before sustaining his injury, the forward averaged 10.1 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.4 steals.
Dec 22, 2021
Set to miss rest of season
Mark underwent shoulder surgery and will miss the rest of the season, Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
Mark has missed the last two games and the team decided opting for surgery was the best option in the long run for the sophomore. It will be a big blow to the Cougars chances this season, as Mark was their most productive option off the bench averaging 10.1 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.4 steals per contest.
Dec 22, 2021
Sidelined Wednesday
Mark (shoulder) will not play Wednesday against Texas State, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
This was expected after it was announced Tuesday that Mark would be out indefinitely due to his shoulder injury. Houston has two games in the next week, and it's unlikely that he'll be able to return during that stretch.
Dec 21, 2021
Sidelined indefinitely
Mark (shoulder) will be on the sidelines for an indefinite period of time, Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
Per coach Kelvin Sampson, Mark is hoping to just go the rest and recovery route for his shoulder but surgery also remains on the table should things not progress. The sophomore's absence will leave the Cougars without some major firepower off the bench considering Mark averaged 17.3 points in the three games prior to his final game against Alabama before the shoulder injury was announced. More information should begin to trickle in as he starts moving closer to a return.
Dec 18, 2021
Absent again Saturday
Mark (shoulder) didn't appear in Saturday's win over Oklahoma State.
ANALYSIS
Mark was forced to miss a second straight game as he continues to deal with a shoulder injury. His next chance to suit up will be Wednesday against Texas State.
Dec 14, 2021
Won't play Tuesday
Mark won't play in Tuesday's game against Louisiana-Lafayette, Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
It's unclear why Mark won't be available for the Cougars in Tuesday's matchup, though it could be related to his shoulder injury that prevented him from seeing the floor across the first three games this year. Thus, Mark's next chance to return to the floor looms Saturday against Oklahoma State.
Nov 22, 2021
Modest output in return
Mark (shoulder) chipped in five points (2-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound, one assist and one steal in 17 minutes during Monday's 70-52 victory over Butler.
ANALYSIS
Mark doesn't quite seem to be at 100 percent just yet given his limited minutes, but it's also possible coach Kelvin Sampson is looking to conserve him given Monday was just the beginning of a multi-day tournament. Still, it appears as if Mark has gained at least a minimal level of clearance and should be available when the undefeated Cougars take on Wisconsin on Tuesday. It shouldn't be much longer before Mark makes a serious bid for a spot in the starting lineup, especially considering his production last year (7.8 ppg, 3.0 rpg) and the large amount of roster turnover the program has experienced.
Nov 22, 2021
Expected to suit up
Mark (shoulder) is expected to be available Monday against Butler, Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
It looks like Mark will finally be able to make his 2021-22 debut in the first game of the Maui Invitational for the Cougars. He will likely get eased in and then can increase his role as he gets more games under his belt.
Nov 19, 2021
Has chance to play Monday
Coach Kelvin Sampson said Friday that "there is a chance" Mark (shoulder) is available for the Maui Invitational, Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
Mark has yet to make his 2021-22 debut as he continues to deal with soreness in his shoulder. However, his return could come as early as Monday, when Houston takes on Butler in the first round of The Maui Invitational. The 6-foot-5 sophomore appeared in 32 contests for the Cougars last season, averaging 7.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists across 19.9 minutes per game.
Nov 16, 2021
Ruled out for Virginia game
Mark (shoulder) will not be available for Tuesday's game against Virginia, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Mark is still dealing with some soreness in his shoulder. Head coach Kelvin Sampson said Monday that Mark would not play until he was pain free. Houston will not play again until next Monday against Butler.
Nov 15, 2021
Won't play until pain is gone
Coach Kelvin Sampson said that Mark (shoulder) will not play until his pain is gone, Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
Mark has been able to go through drills, but is still experiencing some soreness. It seems like he will likely miss Tuesday's game against Virginia, but a return doesn't seem too far away.
Nov 12, 2021
Out again Friday
Mark (shoulder) won't play in Friday's game versus Rice, Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
Mark was labeled a game-time decision for the opener but may not have been that close given his absence again Friday. He has a few more days to rest up ahead of an ACC opponent Tuesday in the form of Virginia.
Nov 9, 2021
Out Tuesday
Mark (shoulder) won't play in Tuesday's game against Hofstra, Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
Originally a game-time call with a shoulder injury, Mark is unavailable for the Cougars during their season opener. It appears that the team won't rush one of their key contributors back. Mark's next chance to take the floor looms Friday against Rice.
Nov 9, 2021
Game-time call for opener
Houston head coach Kelvin Sampson said Mark's (shoulder) status for Tuesday's season opener until shootaround won't be known until after shootaround prior to the 8 p.m. ET tipoff, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Mark battled a sore shoulder during the Cougars' exhibition slate and apparently isn't 100 percent just yet. Houston will wait and see how he looks in shootaround before deciding on his status, but if Mark suits up, he could play a key role for a Cougars squad that four of its top five scorers from last season's Final Four squad.
Nov 8, 2021
Held out with shoulder injury
Mark (shoulder) did not take part in Saturday's exhibition against Montana Tech.
ANALYSIS
According to James Mueller of the Daily Cougar, Mark doesn't currently have a timetable to return and will not be activated until the pain in his shoulder subsides. That makes Mark's status murky at best for the Nov. 9 season opener against Hofstra and also potentially leaves the door open for Taze Moore to enter the starting lineup (as was the case in Saturday's exhibition).
Nov 4, 2021
Bothered by shoulder issue
Mark is dealing with a shoulder injury and his status for Saturday's exhibition versus Montana Tech won't be decided until Friday, Joseph Duarte of the Houston Chronicle reports.
ANALYSIS
Mark's injury doesn't sound like it's a big issue given that he's still being considered for Saturday's exhibition, but the regular season is coming up quickly, opening next Tuesday versus Rice. Mark figures to handle a starting role for the Cougars, taking one of the spot vacated by DeJon Jarreau and Quentin Grimes.
Feb 10, 2021
Will return to bench
Mark will come off the bench in Wednesday's game against South Florida.
ANALYSIS
Mark goes back to coming off the bench after starting one game due to a weak opponent on tap. The freshman has been solid when give the opportunity, however, averaging 8.7 points and 3.1 rebounds in 20.5 minutes per contest.
Feb 6, 2021
Getting start Saturday
Mark will get the start Saturday against Our Lady of the Lake.
ANALYSIS
Mark is part of a complete lineup upheaval to give the regular starters some extra rest Saturday. Mark could see some extra minutes as a result but will presumably return to the bench Wednesday versus USF.
Jan 31, 2021
Out of starting five
Mark is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against SMU.
ANALYSIS
Mark made a spot start Thursday for the injured Quentin Grimes but will revert to the bench with Grimes returning to the lineup. The 6-5 freshman had a productive day with 16 points (6-12 FG, 1-5 3PT, 3-3 FT), five rebounds and three steals in 31 minutes as that kind of stat line should still earn him plenty of minutes despite coming off the bench.
Dec 26, 2020
Remains out of lineup
Mark is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's game against Central Florida.
ANALYSIS
Mark has been coming off the bench in most games, and that will be the case once again for the Cougars. He has logged decent minutes off the bench, however, averaging 22.5 minutes and 12.8 points per game in four appearances off the bench.
Dec 20, 2020
Exiting starting five
Mark is not in the Cougars' starting lineup for Sunday's game against Alcorn State.
ANALYSIS
Mark entered the starting five for the first time in his career when he replaced Marcus Sasser (undisclosed) in the team's last game against South Carolina. Despite putting up 18 points and four boards in 35 minutes, Mark will find himself back on the bench as he'll be replaced by Jamal Shead in the Cougars' backcourt.
Dec 5, 2020
Making first career start
Mark will join the starting lineup for Saturday's game against South Carolina.
ANALYSIS
Mark has made a strong impression early in his time with the Cougars, racking up 14 points and four boards over 19.7 minutes per contest through the first three. He will replace Marcus Sasser in Saturday's starting five and could carry a larger workload with it.
