Lands on injured reserve
The Giants placed Collins (neck) on injured reserve Saturday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Collins injured his neck during the Giants' Week 9 loss to the 49ers. He was already ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bears after logging a trio of DNPs during Week 10 prep, but his placement on IR means he'll be required to miss at least the next four games. Collins is eligible to be activated from injured reserve in Week 15 against the Commanders on Sunday, Dec. 14.

Won't play Sunday
Collins (neck) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Bears, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
The rookie wideout from Notre Dame logged three consecutive DNPs during the Giants' week of practice, so it's no surprise that he won't suit up Sunday. Collins has contributed on offense and special teams across nine appearances this season, catching two of six targets for 25 yards over 194 total snaps (110 on special teams, 84 on offense). While he's sidelined in Week 10, expect Gunner Olszewski and Jalin Hyatt to have expanded roles in the Giants' receiving corps.

Sits out another practice
Collins (neck) did not practice Thursday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Collins has now missed back-to-back practices due to a neck injury sustained during New York's loss to the 49ers in Week 9. He looks to be trending in the wrong direction for Sunday's road matchup against the Bears, in which case Gunner Olszewski and Jalin Hyatt will likely handle expanded roles at wide receiver behind Wan'Dale Robinson and Darius Slayton.

Doesn't practice Wednesday
Collins (neck) did not participate in Wednesday's practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Collins sustained a neck injury during the second half of the Giants' Week 9 loss to the 49ers and was unable to return. He'll have two more chances to practice this week, but if he's not cleared to play against the Bears on Sunday, then Gunner Olszewski and Jalin Hyatt would be candidates to serve as the Giants' WR3 behind Wan'Dale Robinson and Darius Slayton.

Won't return due to neck injury
Collins (neck) has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the 49ers, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Collins appeared to sustain the injury early in the third quarter, which is severe enough for him to not return to Sunday's contest. Jalin Hyatt and Ray-Ray McCloud should see more offensive snaps in Collins' absence.

Cleared to play Week 9
Collins (quadriceps) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the 49ers, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Collins has two catches for 25 scoreless yards this season. He's not a fantasy option with Darius Slayton back healthy alongside Wan'Dale Robinson.

Limited in practice again
Collins (quadriceps) registered a limited practice session Thursday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Collins has now logged consecutive limited sessions to begin the week as a result of a quad injury. He may need to log a full practice Friday to avoid entering the weekend with an injury designation for Sunday's matchup against the 49ers. Should he be able to suit up, Collins may be slated for a significant role since only Wan'Dale Robinson and Darius Slayton are definitely ahead of him in the wideout pecking order.

Dealing with quad issue
Collins (quadriceps) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
It's not immediately clear when Collins picked up the injury, but his activity at practice at least suggests it's not severe. He'll have two more chances to upgrade to a full practice before the Giants' final practice report of the week is released Friday.

Makes one catch in Week 8 loss
Collins recorded one reception on two targets for 18 yards in Sunday's loss to the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Fellow receiver Darius Slayton returned from a two-game absence so start Sunday, but Collins' involvement actually went up, not down. After logging a combined 10 offensive snaps the prior two weeks, Collins was on the field for 12 offensive snaps Sunday, representing a 24 percent offensive snap share. That ranked fourth among New York wideouts behind Wan'Dale Robinson (98 percent), Slayton (73 percent) and Lil'Jordan Humphrey (63 percent), while Jalin Hyatt was a healthy scratch. It appears Collins has moved above Hyatt in the pecking order, though Collins isn't a viable fantasy asset while the three wide receivers ahead of him on the depth chart are healthy.

Not targeted in Week 6 victory
Collins didn't get a passing target Thursday in a 34-17 win over the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
The Giants were playing without wideouts Malik Nabers (knee, out for the season) and Darius Slayton (hamstring) on Thursday, so there was some expectation that Collins would be asked to step into a bigger role. Instead, he logged only four offensive snaps while practice-squad elevation Lil'Jordan Humphrey worked as New York's No. 2 wideout with a 77 percent snap share. Jalin Hyatt (29 offensive snaps) was also above Collins in the pecking order, and the latter's participation level was his lowest since he played exclusively on special teams in Week 2 versus Dallas. With that in mind, Collins doesn't appear to be moving up the Giants' depth chart even given the team's injuries at the wideout position, so he's probably not worth a roster spot in almost all fantasy formats.

Sees increased role in Week 5 loss
Collins caught one of three targets for seven yards in Sunday's loss to New Orleans.
ANALYSIS
For the first three weeks of the campaign, Collins was deployed primarily in a special-teams role, but he got more of a look on offense last Sunday after Malik Nabers went down with a season-ending knee injury. Collins then saw his role expand further in Week 5, as he tallied a season-high 28 offensive snaps -- fourth-most among New York wideouts, and only slightly behind presumed No. 3 WR Jalin Hyatt (34). Collins came away with his first three targets and his first catch of the campaign, though he also made a key mistake by stopping mid-route on a pass thrown his way in the fourth quarter that led to a Jaxson Dart interception. How that play affects Collins' opportunities moving forward remains to be seen, but given the current state of New York's wideout corps -- Darius Slayton, Wan'Dale Robinson and Hyatt aren't threatening for Pro Bowl status -- Collins could continue to see more looks moving forward.

Makes 53-man roster
Collins is included on the Giants' initial 53-man roster.
ANALYSIS
Collins is a bit of a Cinderella story -- he signed with New York as a free agent in late April after not being selected in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Notre Dame product earned the roster spot with a strong training camp, and though he caught only one pass in preseason play, it was an 80-yard connection with Russell Wilson. While Collins will begin the season at the bottom half of New York's wideout depth chart, he could have a chance to move up if he performs well -- the team's receiving corps may have room to shuffle behind Malik Nabers (toe/shoulder/back), especially with an entirely new QB room offering a different skill set than last year's iteration.

Expected to sign with Giants
Collins is slated to sign with the Giants as an undrafted free agent, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.
ANALYSIS
Collins has some deep speed that may not have shown up at his pro day, when he ran a 4.54 40-yard dash at 6-foot-3, 198 pounds. The 22-year-old was a solid contributor all three seasons at Clemson before posting 41 receptions for 490 yards and three touchdowns at Notre Dame in 2024. Collins needs to prove himself over the summer to earn a roster spot.
